We indulged in the most delicious rhubarb and strawberry pie 🥧🍓, a heavenly Nutella brownie 🍫, a fragrant Amaretto treat 🍥, and a beautifully soft pastry whose name escapes me — but trust me, it was divine 😋💖 (see photo for proof!) 🪑 There’s plenty of comfy indoor seating, while outdoor seating is a bit wobbly but still charming under the Gothenburg sky 🌤️. 🚻 There’s a toilet available, though sadly not wheelchair accessible. ✨ Honestly, we had nothing to complain about — just a lovely little café with tons of character, the kind of place you want to linger and savor every bite. A must - visit when you’re in Gothenburg! Even though this cafe is in almost every tourist guide for Gothenburg it definitely didn’t disappoint. I had the biggest cinnamon bun, aka Hagabullen, which was full of flavor and worth every bite. The staff is welcoming and the whole place has that authentic Gothenburg feel. I highly recommend it!

I tried a few desserts and the coffee, and honestly, they didn’t stand out—pretty average overall. Still, the atmosphere and drink options make it worth visiting, especially if you’re more into the experience than just what’s on the plate.

Unfortunately, my 3rd son and I were tourists in the city, we walked 10 km and unfortunately we were with a stroller. So we left kassa and went in from the terrace. I had a tray, water on it, cake, a child, a stroller and an umbrella in my hands. It was raining and I couldn't leave the stroller in the parking lot without a canopy. I just sat the child down and put the tray with the spilled water on the cake on the table. At the cash desk strange man in a cap stood and watched me suffer and as soon as my son sat down and I put the tray on the table, he came up and rudely made a remarks that strollers are not allowed. Had a glass of wine on a sunny day while wandering the garden. Seating in & outside at tables or park bench, it appeared a larger dining area was not open, food chosen from inside case or menu board.

The atmosphere is definitely the best that I can say about this place. It is small and cosy and definitely a bit of a French style. However, the prices are extremely high. In my opinion l, coffee is quite expensive, even sodas, but they taste good. The place becomes quite crowded and can take some time to order - the reason for this is, in my opinion, only one person works behind the till. All in all, it's a cosy and suitable place if you don't mind high prices.

This is one of my favourite chains in Sweden. Was trying first time in Gothenburg and the got impressed by the service, everyone was super nice and lovely. Pastries were great as always, this time we tried the cinnamon roll (it was average, quite sweet) and the strawberry cheesecake croissant (if I’m not mistaken) was DELICIOUS! The only concern is the general cleanliness of the place, but not horrible.

I had a truly lovely experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was fantastic in their spacious setting. I made a slight error with my order, confusing MOZZARELLA with MORTADELLA, but the staff handled it with complete professionalism and understanding. They graciously accommodated the situation and provided me with a “mozzarella” order instead a “mortadella”. The coffee was excellent, as were the breakfast croissant and matcha 🔥. Wow, sitting here after my soup and cake endeavor. It was an exquisite experience. Lovely saffron flavour and whole shrimp , some fish and perfectly cut potatoes in the soup. After I tried almost all the cakes (sorry chocolate and rum) and they were surprisingly good. I must say the nougat comes first and blackberry takes seconds. I had a lovely date with myself here on a Sunday. You should also. Btw the young woman working there was beyond helpful. Probably the most service minded person I’ve met on this trip back to Sweden, been here 2,5 months! I will miss places like this in Australia, and the price is extraordinary for the value! Much love

Incredible coffee shop in the heart of downtown. The inside of the cafe is genuinely beautiful - lots of open seating, natural light, and a realistic olive tree! The shop allows customers to grab their own choice of baked goods and then bring them up to the counter to pay. They also have delicious coffee - I had an iced americano and it was super tasty!

Avacado toast is so delicious, and I am frequent at their chocolate corner, so many tasty options. Great place for lunch and the lunch cost 114krs. I have tired the lax (Salmon) Soup which was really good. And they have a cake buffet, where they had the variety of cakes to taste. And finally with a nice coffee.

A lovely sourdough bakery in the heart of town. The queue in the morning already gives it away: a great place to pick up your breads and buns for the weekend. The space is tiny and you might be a bit overwhelmed by the rich offer of products. You’ll find a wide selection of breads, but also some buns and sandwiches. A fridge also offers essentials for everyday, but also juices and more. I enjoyed a few good buns and a nice fresh Dinkel Loaf. Also the sandwich with butter, cheese and cucumbers was convincingly good. Please continue what you do. It feels good and authentic.

visited this bakery twice whilst I was in town only for less than a week! Got attracted by the lovely smell and the warmth from the bread and the people inside during the typical cold and wet weather in Gothenburg. The sourdough and little cookies were both delicious, highly recommended!

This place probably offers some the most rustic, tasty and dare I say innovative baguettes, rolls and breads in the erea. To be perfectly honest, I have not tasted all the breads in all to stores/bakeries in the erea, but I have eaten a lot of bread... I do love bread l, and I am pretty sure I have tasted at least one type of roll from each of the nearby stores. The selection varies from day to day, season to season. Keeping it interesting. This place also offers frozen breads at a reduced price as a good way to limit unnecessary waste. Though the price is slightly higher than in the other bakeries/stores. It is well worth it as there is a noticeable difference in quality and flavor. However! They do not have bagels and focus a lot on saffron during December, so much that they seem to forget the much more tasty cardamom... Who is more present from January to November.

Incredible bakery and cozy café with children seats available. The Ethiopian French press coffee was stupendous. Look out for seasonal offerings, right now you can get a wonderful levain with honey-roasted apples and thyme.

A cute little bakery. Everything is eko what is great. Bread was delicious and baked perfect. Also served cakes and biscuits (also homemade) There light lunch offering of Cheese sandwich was simple yet tasty, with a beautiful vanilla and pear jam.(you can buy this also) Only one table inside and suprisingly few outside table given the space. But is much more of a place to buy for home. Wish I had this bakery close to where I live!

Been here a couple of times, I always find the food just alright, homely and cozy. But the great advantage is that there are so many lactose free options. Also great with the sugar free smoothies. This is also one the last places to work in peace at a cafe, the atmosphere is cozy and you’ll find plenty of other people working too.

A very nice place to linger and watch the hustle and bustle of the city. We took a break there while exploring the city. They serve Berliner Kindl (beer from my hometown), which is why we wanted to take a break there. Unfortunately, there are no English translations, so we had to guess. The Pizza Diavola I had there was really good, though.

The food was amazing. The staff are alright, and the menu has lots of things to choose from. Walls are nice with cool pictures. However the floor is starting to rot up a bit, and the tables are constantly messy and have bits of food on them. Might be just bad timing tho. To add, the tables and chairs are not new, you can say. Gluten-free ciabatta. We ordered glutenfree «Kyckling & mozarella», and glutenfree «italiano». Unfortunately it didnt have so much taste, especially not the «örtaioli». The staff was really nice tho, but the food wasn’t that tasty.

I’ve been there many times but it’s really frustrating that it’s always so messy and dirty everywhere. Toilet paper all over the place and even outside the toilets. Urine all over the toilets and you just get wet. All the dishes and cutlery that just move from one place to another. Just two people working there can’t take care of the whole place. They’re still trying to be happy but they’re obviously not enough. Scrolling through the online reviews I see that there are comments since two months ago that we’ve been promised that they would improve that. A very cozy and warm atmosphere with nice staff. We loved its traditional and rural style. The breakfast buffet is pretty good including different breads, cheese, butter, fruits, hummus, several cakes, etc.

Good place for a Fika, not so crowded, comfortable accommodation and good sweets. Alternatives includes vegans and gluten-free. Service is kind and fast.

Save yourself the bother and go to any other cafe or bakery in the area. First what I liked: The place is decorated very well, they have a patio that get good light. The baked goods, bread, and coffee are tasty. On the other hand, the service is atrocious. The staff always seems stressed, or upset. It takes forever to get your order, regardless if it's a hot dish or just a coffee. They are super disorganized. The hot food is lackluster. Very plain and somewhat bland. I've really wanted to like this place because it's so cute and it's just a fun place to sit but each time the service is consistently bad. The only saving grace is that the bread and coffee is really good and fresh which is why I gave two stars.

Very nice place. There is a nice menu where everyone can find something to eat and drink. It is really good that they open so early in the morning. The atmosphere is cosy and the best of all is the small kids corner that they have. Here a family can sit the children can play and the parents can have their coffee. Very much appreciated. It’s was a nice place but I wouldn’t come here again. The staff wasn’t that pleasant towards us. And the sallad was small and the pasta was dry. The pastry was noting good for that price! And they should redecorate because everywhere you walked you dwelt like you were in the way for everyone!

The café environment is clean, spacious, and has some interesting pieces on the walls to admire. The service was engaged and helpful. It's pricey but it's on par with everything that should be in moderation, such as bakery produce, even if the produce is really excellent.

Tried: Semla, Shrimp sandwich. Been sampling semlas at different bakeries throughout Feb and March, and this was a true disappointment. Dry bun, very little almond paste and tasted like they mixed the cream with water. Had their semla previous years and it was better. The shrimp sandwich had a very hard rye bread bottom, and was l small for the 170 kr or so that I paid. A plus for that the amount of shrimp was quite generous for the size.

The pistachio ice cream was so good. You could totally tell it was made with generous servings of fresh pistachios because the flavour was on point - it is only second to a pistachio gelato I tasted in Italy!

Very good baked goods and also the coffee is great. Make sure you grab a cinnamon bun or a cardamom one. And enjoy your fika here.

You can easily tell they use the best ingredients. I tried the cinnamon roll, the cardamom roll as well as an almond filled cookie and they didn't disappoint. Fresh, buttery and high quality. Just off the E20, this bakery offers some really good kardemum buns with lots of flavor and a home baked feel to them. Both the vegan and the non vegan buns are lovely. The rasbarry mazarins are well balanced, sweet sour, and dare, I say slightly creamy. The chocolate ball actually tasted like chocolate, too. The atmosphere is laid back, old meets new kind of feel to it. Bricks and murals come together... and so on... The food was good, staff friendly all in all deffenetly worth a visit/stop when on the road. P.S. there is plenty of parking and places to sit outside as well.

Sylvain and colleagues make the best pastries avaliable in Göteborg. I come several times a week and I never get disappointed. On a sunny day come early if you want a spot to sit outside. The parking outside makes it very accessible.

Look, before anyone gets mad, the food IS amazing. it's worth standing in line for, winning awards. My challenge is that the place has very very low hygiene standards. Food is touched with bare hands all over (not washed between tasks) hair found in food is taken out like that solves the problem, food is stored in open cases and will literally be covered in bees and flies (the shop doors are kept wide open and they are next to a recycling station). The very nice team makes amazing food, but I cannot set foot in a place to eat that makes me wonder if the city even has health inspectors.

As they need to be in a coffee shop 😊 We took: An Americano (50 kr) was good but nothing special, and I found it quite expensive for what it was. A hot chocolate (64 kr), was also nice, but again, not really worth the price. A cinnamon bun (71 kr), that however, was amazing and one of the best I’ve had! It even reminded me of tsoureki, but nothing with Nutella or chocolate. But again, the price was surprisingly high. The sweet pastry dessert was tasty and, in my opinion, the only item that felt fairly priced (46kr) Overall, it’s a nice place to visit maybe once or twice a year, but not somewhere I’d go regularly as a local coffee shop, that it’s like this.
