The Kyriazis Medical Museum, also known as the Medical Museum, is a unique attraction in Larnaca, Cyprus. Housed in a 1927 mansion at the heart of the city, this small yet diverse museum offers an intriguing insight into the medical history and practices during the Middle Ages and Ottoman Period. The collection includes a variety of medical equipment, books, documents, and even an old obgyn bench that was reportedly used by half of Larnaca's population.
A hidden gem in Larnaca! The Medical Museum offers an incredibly interesting and soulful experience. We were lucky to join a Polish-language tour, which made it even more enjoyable. The museum is full of fascinating exhibits — many of which you can touch — and every piece tells a story. But what made the biggest impression was the atmosphere: you can feel the passion and inspiration of the people who created this place. We felt truly welcomed and left with warm memories. Highly recommended!

I loved all the details, there are so many interesting tools and insights from early medicine; it was history beautifully mingled with art, and also modern day objects. The host, Dorothea, was so passionate and friendly, she offered us a tour and explained the practices of those times. This museum has a lot to offer and is worth hours of scrutinizing, there are so many things to learn and discover. I really loved this experience and I dearly recommend it, I would come back any time! (The entrance is free, but you can make donations if you wish; also, you are allowed to touch the exhibits)
Ioana P — Google review
We stumbled upon this beautiful little medical museum by chance. We really appreciated the way the objects are displayed like a cabinet of curiosities filled with intertwined stories, all very well explained. We enjoyed diving into this medical universe through its different eras and narratives. The museum is very comprehensive, as it covers a wide variety of medical topics through rare antique objects that you won’t find just anywhere. This really helps visitors grasp the evolution and challenges of medicine over time. We also particularly enjoyed the many artistic creations, all centered around the theme of medicine. They were made by Dorota, the person who guided us during the visit. She has a true artistic sensibility that we found very moving. Her creations about dental equipment are not to be missed make sure to ask her to show them to you! So, if you're ever in Larnaca, we highly recommend taking the time to visit this wonderful museum.
Jadhe T — Google review
THE MEDICAL MUSEUM of Larnaka is a quirky, magical, educational micro-museum also known as THE KYRIAZIS MUSEUM after the eponymous Dr MARIOS KYRIAZIS MD,DSc whom it was a delight and an honour to meet and chat with ( and even receive kind and helpful medical advice from!) on the morning of our visit. Many of the exhibits were spine-tinglingly gruesome but also, awesomely thrilling! I liked the fact the museum space was small, only a couple of rooms, but they were chock full of fascinating medical objects. The lovely Dorota gives you a whizz of a tour around then you can peruse the exhibits again at your own pace. The good Doctor was so lovely I bought his book which I think will be an amazing and humorous read! Best Google to check the Museum opening times. My Lonely Planet Guide said it was only open Wednesdays and Saturdays until 1230 hours but this is incorrect. It’s open much more frequently than that. Definitely worth leaving the beach for!
Marsha M — Google review
We had a wonderful time at the Medical Museum! The exhibit features a wide range of medical equipment and various surgical instruments of different age. You are also allowed to touch and interact with the majority of the exhibits, which makes the experience truly engaging. There was also a really friendly guide who provided us with a comprehensive excursion, even after the working hours had passed. The owner of the museum is a doctor himself, and if you’re particularly interested in medicine, you can talk to him about it, as well as purchase his book (English/Greek) and have it signed. By the way, the museum is entirely free to enter, although you can leave a donation afterwards :)

A unique museum in every sense. It is the only medical museum in Cyprus. The stories of The items are amazing. And it is the only museum in the world where you can touch all the items. It is definitely a must see museum.
Oya K — Google review
The Kyriazis Medical Museum in Larnaca was established in 2011 and displays medical items, books and framed documents relating to the practice of medicine from antiquity to the 20th century. It is the only medical museum in Cyprus and all the collections belong to a Nobel prize nominee. You can touch all the items there and feel for yourself how they work. Its founder is Marios Kyriazis, a descendant of four generations of doctors and pharmacists in Larnaca. The hosts can open anytime by appointment. Most days they will open from 10 am to 7 pm.Tours in Greek, Italian, English, German and Polish.
Bogdan B — Google review
The museum is very interesting and the exhibits are very impressive. Everything has been collected with great effort and care. We were given a spontaneous short tour, which we really enjoyed. You get a vivid impression of what medicine used to be like. An impressive contribution to everyday history. The current state of science is tomorrow's error. Science is continuous advancement.

The Pierides Museum - Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation is a small, privately owned archaeology museum located in Larnaca, Cyprus. It showcases a diverse collection of regional artifacts such as pottery, glassware, and maps. Housed in the former home of Dimitris Pierides, the museum's elegant mansion and beautiful gardens provide a fitting setting for its extensive archaeological exhibits. The collection has grown over the years and continues to expand.
Nice collection of artifacts from different time periods. Paid €3 for entry and found some nice gifts at reasonable prices in the museum shop. Some information in English. There was also an exhibition of silk scarves when I visited - very beautiful

A small museum, not very spectacular. Many very old ceramic vessels, Roman glass, remains of statues. You only need about 30 minutes to visit it.

Tickets-1€ for student, 3€ for adult Small cost for a small museum. 6 rooms filled with some unique artefacts from previous periods, starting in the Bronze Age finishing with 13th Christian Age

The Roman glass has to seen to be believed . So delicate, but survived in Tombs . The Pomos idols and the flat idols are amazing . The pots and other artifacts are very special. Well worth a visit . Entry €3

Located a 3 minute walk off the main square. Cost :3 euros and they take credit cards. It’s a single floor of 5 rooms and a corridor. Different historic periods of vases and pots, figurines and statues/ heads and artefacts. Description could be made easier with number going in a systematic order as well as the description. Descriptions are put into one page of say 1-5 and objects maybe on two different levels in two different panels of display making it difficult for the visitor to follow a systematic viewing of the displays. Also description not at eye level but a lot of bending down is required for reading inscriptions, the font could also be bigger.

A small private museum with exhibits from Stone Age that Pieridis family acquired through the generations which they showcase for the public to enjoy. The museum is housed in a private colonial style building which it was a family house before built in 1825 and which it has been occupied the site for more than four generations. Each room is sectioned on different afterfacts from bronze, clay, glass and more. My favourite section it was the different coloured and shapes of blown glass. You can spend easily one to two hours there and is accessible for wheelchair users. It has a small gift shop at the back and toilets in the back yard. Entrance is €3.00 and is well worth a visit there.

The Archaeological Museum of Larnaka District, also known as the Larnaca District Museum, is a charming museum featuring a modest yet impressive collection of ancient artifacts. Housed in a purpose-built building, the museum offers detailed explanations of each display and showcases items from various historical periods including the Neolithic Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Hellenistic and Roman period.
Very interesting museum, lots of exhibits reg prehistoric Cyprus, and more. Serene presentation, good explanations, very well done. Entrance is free and the air-conditioning is excellent 😁
Huub R — Google review
Not very big, seems recently modernized/restored, decent looking. Not very spectacular, the exhibits are mostly pottery and other clay objects. You can also see remains of statues, ornaments, some gold jewelry and coins. The exhibits have explanations in English. You need less than an hour to visit it.
Paul C — Google review
Worth a visit, along with the Kition ruins. Free entry and an interesting view of the region's history mainly focusing on the prehistoric origins. Make sure you don't miss out on the Mausoleums downstairs.

متحف رائعA very interesting museum, with many exhibits documenting prehistoric Cyprus and much more. A calming display, good explanations, and a wonderful achievement. Admission is free, and the air conditioning is excellent 😁
Ezzat F — Google review
If you visit the site of Kition nearby you may be disappointed that there wasn’t many artefacts but you will be happy to see this museum which is full of antiquities. They are well presented and the museum is air conditioned which in the immense heat of summer is a saviour. There is a small gift shop also with some lovely souvenirs too but the artefacts impressed me the most.
C C — Google review
Free entry, friendly staff. The exhibitions (neolithic era, bronze age, iron age) are extremely detailed, there are plenty of artifacts on display. Crazy amounts of pottery remains, with detailed explanations in every exhibit. The place is air conditioned and very cool which is a welcome thing in the 30 degree midday Larnaka.

Small but with surprisingly many items exposed, mainly pottery but also other artefacts. Interesting explanations in Greek and English. Highly recommended

Nice museum with good display and description of artifacts. Organized chronologically from the prehistoric to the Roman era and a bit further with interesting potteries and crafting tools mostly. The visit takes around 40mn to an hour and it's free.

Finikoudes Beach in Larnaca is a must-visit destination, offering a palm-lined beach with clean-water status and picturesque promenades. It's an integral part of a weekend break itinerary in Larnaca, along with other key attractions like Kamares Aqueduct and Larnaka Medieval Fort. The area boasts a wide range of accommodation options, from luxurious 5-star hotels to more affordable 3-star choices, catering to every budget and traveler type.
Nice beach for young children and families to relax and swim. Plenty of cafes and restaurants opposite the sea. Nice little promenade
Cronos C — Google review
Good beach for kids, nice sand and shallow water. Toilet is free, but shower cost 50cents. Almost no disturbance from people trying to sell you something.
Mihajlovic ( — Google review
Very good - this is a really safe beach for kids, with nice sand and fairly shallow water. The toilet is free (hurray) but the shower cost is about 50c. It can get quite crowded but the there is little hassle from people trying to sell you something. It can get really hot - so take or hire shade.
Norm P — Google review
It's a wonderful beach. The location is perfect. There are restaurants, places to stay, and an amusement park nearby. It's a great beach for a family vacation.
Nurcan V — Google review
No sand, only soil. Very dirty beach, not suitable for swimming or relaxing. Sunbeds are broken and in some places there are no umbrellas.
Momir P — Google review
First beach in the closet proximity of Larnaca city center. Soft sand, clear water, and lot of restaurants with all the facilities. Public transport and intercity buses having stop here.
Mahesh S — Google review
This beach needs some better sand and cleaning. Comparing with other beaches in Cyprus, this one is very disappointing.

The Municipal Museum of Natural History, located in the Larnaca Municipal Gardens, is a popular attraction for families visiting the city. The museum boasts an extensive collection of exhibits showcasing local land and marine reptiles, insects, birds, animals, rocks, and fossils originating from Cyprus. One of its most impressive features is the vast collection of over 6,000 Cypriot insects - the largest in Cyprus.
I got to say since my last visit, the museum has improved a lot and they have laid all the exhibits in a good order. The visitor will get to know the animals that are local to Cyprus? There are glass cases with local reptiles, insects, birds, fossils, marine life and animals you will find in the wild but also in domestic dwelling like hens, rabbits, donkeys, goats and other animals. I find the museum is not visited enough, but there are a lot to see and learn from it. All the exhibits are from Cyprus with the exception of shells, coral, sponges and sea creatures. The museum is accessible to wheelchair users and families with young children. The entry is 50 cents and you can easily spend around one hour looking at the exhibits. The museum is located in the municipal Gardens which it has been renovated and is great for the kids there. There is also a café opposite the museum and public toilets. The museum is open Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 15.00 and is closed on public holidays. Also the Department of Antiquities can issue special entry cards for 1, 3 or 7 days at a reduced price and also a pensioners special entry card.
Angie O — Google review
Nice exhibition, children are in awe. But open on Saturdays for like 3 hours, closed on sundays. Good playground nearby
Vladimir S — Google review
My 2 year old daughter loved it! I think for 2 year olds it’s amazing. It’s not too big of a museum and not too small but just enough to keep their focus on it and to do another round to see the things they loved the most. A very good first introduction to animals, shells and fossils.
Sara D — Google review
The museum is technically poor. The items are common, the taxidermy is bad, the insects in drawers are rotting to dust, the few labels provided are often wrong. But the displays are absolutely charming. Something in the honest optimism of this place feels like a child proudly displaying his finds and it is utterly endearing. It is a good sized collection for the scale of the building and I wish them the greatest of success. May it one day rival the best museums in the country. My few photos don't do it justice - it's definitely worth a look.

Best 50 cent i've ever spent Tons of content and all within walking distance from the town center
TheSharpmarksman — Google review
The WWII exhibits include a Spitfire engine that starts up every Sunday at 11am - its roar shakes the display cases. Personal letters from Cypriot soldiers are preserved under glass with their original wax seals intact. The curator knows which photo album contains hidden images of resistance fighters.
Arman K — Google review
Good place with AC, but guy who working there didn’t wants to let us inside at 12:20 (he said that it’s open till 13:00) and was really unhappy about the fact that we still wanted to entrance there. Museum is for 10-15 minutes max.

Marina
Nature & Parks
Larnaca Marina is a bustling hub for yacht cruises and diving excursions, offering outdoor dining with views of a popular beach. As the oldest city in Cyprus, Larnaca seamlessly blends its ancient roots with modern amenities, attracting tourists to its new international airport, capacity-filled marina, and beautiful beaches stretching over 25km. The marina is centrally located next to the lively Finikoudes Promenade and offers picturesque views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Probably the busiest place in the Larnaca! Sandy beach, restaurants like McDonald's, KFC and TGI Friday, cafes and local attractions like the holy church of St Lazarus, municipal market and Larnaca medieval fort. You can spend the whole day here either relaxing on the beach sunbathing or enjoying the excursions.
GU C — Google review
A not very big marina, with nothing out of the ordinary. Several dozen sailboats and other types of boats and a promenade where people can walk. There are no benches to sit on. Quite beautiful but common.
Paul C — Google review
A nice marina, with a small pier that enables you to look at the boats. Be aware that some of the planks are old, stick up, and are unsteady. You can not get much other access to the marina to see the boats any closer on foot. You can, however, get boat rides from here, and booking is at the start of the pier. The marina itself is clean and well kept. Parking can be found close by or a 10 minute walk from 2 car parks next to the bus station. Both are free. Toilets nearby on the beach. Worth a quick look if you're in the area.
R J — Google review
It's so beautiful and the view from up the infinity pool is breathtaking. Visited the Marina Spa and after had a drink by the pool. It was so relaxing.

I visited Larnaca in August 2024, and the weather was quite hot. I stayed about 15 km away from the town at the Murcure Larnaca Resort. While looking for a place to have dinner in the city, I discovered this area. I walked around for over an hour in the evening, and it wasn’t crowded, which made it very pleasant. The area is quite large, with boats, a beach, restaurants, and more. It’s worth exploring, but I recommend visiting Nissi Beach, which is too crowded but one of the most beautiful beaches in the World.
Muhammad C — Google review
We had an exceptional experience at Larnaca Marina. The marina is beautifully organized, well-run, and affordably priced. From the moment we arrived from the Suez Canal, the team provided a warm and welcoming reception. Giannis, the Marina Manager, was instrumental in ensuring a smooth experience, sending us all the necessary information via email. When we arrived, we contacted Stellios on the radio, and his instructions were clear and easy to follow. He and Athos met us at the fuel dock with smiles, took our lines, and escorted us to the customs and port police offices. The check-in process was super easy and efficient, thanks to Elena's kindness at the office reception. The team went above and beyond to assist us, even helping with our first stern tie. Athos took our lines, and Stellios was ready in the dinghy to lend a hand if needed. Given the marina's comfort and amenities, we decided to haul our boat out for hull maintenance. The lift process was seamless, with Georgios handling the travel lift and Mohammed ensuring everything was in place. What truly made our experience stand out was working with "Dino" and his colleague Kamil. Dino's business offers a wide range of services for boat exteriors, and his work is stellar. Both Dino and Kamil take immense pride in their work, and it shows. They became like friends and coaches to us, offering valuable advice and support throughout our stay. We were sad to leave Larnaca Marina but happy to set sail with our boat looking better than ever. The marina's daily rates are very affordable compared to other European ports, making it an excellent choice for sailors. We highly recommend Larnaca Marina to anyone looking for a well-run and welcoming port.

Larnaca Port is the base and starting point for enjoying many excursions, exploration tours and diving in beautiful Cyprus. It is full of boats and yachts that can be rented, whether with family or friends. It is also surrounded by restaurants and cafes with outdoor areas overlooking the beach and the distant horizon.A delightful two-hour experience departing from Larnaca Marina. As we set sail, you'll enjoy the stunning views of Finikoudes Beach, which embodies the essence of the Mediterranean coast.

The Holy Church of Saint Lazarus is a restored 9th-century Byzantine stone church located in the center of Larnaca. It houses a remarkable gold-plated iconostasis and is dedicated to Lazarus of Bethany, who, according to legend, lived in Larnaca for 30 years and was its first bishop after being resurrected by Jesus.
Many have already written the historical,  religious and architectural significances of this small but magnificent church. I stayed longer than I expected because I invited myself to a beautiful wedding. During the wedding service, the church still let people in for the visit to the tomb of Saint Lazarus. I suppose it always happens. If a wedding happens to take place during your visit, don't leave. It's such a sweet experience.

From an architectural standpoint it’s a very pretty building and the interior is spectacular. I didn’t take any photos as I didn’t know if it was appropriate or not as it is an active church. But the paintings and reliefs inside are quite unique. And the building itself has a great history that’s interesting to learn about as someone who’s not tied to the Christian faith. The surrounding neighborhood is very quaint and has many good shops and restaurants/cafes.
Sam F — Google review
This is amazing Church is a must visit if you are in the area. Beautiful structural architecture on the outside and inside to the amazing things you will see when you enter. If you can try and be covered up because there is a sign outside saying no shorts for men and women should ideally have their hair and shoulders covered but they do have robes for free on the outside to cover just in case you forget. Situated in the church are the most amazing icon pictures all over and the whole church is almost covered in gold. It is a particularly busy church with tourists in and out at all times. When you enter there is a lower two level where Lazarus bones used to be kept before they were moved, but his tomb still remains.

Hearing about this church and seeing some of the photos doesn’t really prepare you for the experience and history you are about to feel walking up to and inside this master of a monument. The outside is stunning, well preserved and sits on a lovely open space. When you enter it is very typical of a Greek church and lovely. Make sure you visit the tombs also under the church.

Beautiful church, very peaceful! We went there around at 1400 and it was closed. Advise to check the opening hours before you go. It opens in afternoon at 1530 but if you are there early, there are few souvenir shops that you can visit, enjoy lunch, take photographs, enough things to keep you occupied.

Visiting the Holy Church of Saint Lazarus was an unforgettable experience. I was deeply touched by the atmosphere and the spiritual energy of this sacred place. Bowing before the relics of Saint Lazarus filled me with peace and gratitude.

The primary "Holy Church of St. Lazarus" is the 9th-century Greek Orthodox church in Larnaca, Cyprus, built over the second and final tomb of Lazarus. His tomb is in a crypt beneath the altar. The church is centrally located on Agios Lazaros Square in Larnaca, a short walk from Finikoudes beach and the marina.

Larnaca Salt Lake is a stunning natural feature that captivates visitors with its unique ecosystem, home to an array of water birds, including the elegant flamingos. This picturesque site is not only a haven for birdwatchers but also holds cultural significance, featuring the revered Hala Sultan Tekke shrine nearby. Travelers can enhance their experience in Larnaca by exploring various attractions such as the Archaeological Museum and Larnaka Medieval Fort while enjoying beach activities along the beautiful coastline.
Beautiful lake, flamingos can be seen only in the cold season. Visited in November and the water looked like a mirror, with lots of flamingos. Definitely worth visiting. Do not walk off the path, it'll startle the birds. There are 2 observation decks at the lake. You can get there with public transport.
Aleksandra Ł — Google review
Went in April, no Flamingo. Learned from the local that they only come to salt lake between Nov and Mar. If you go in other months, the lake view is still enjoyable, just no need to feel disappointed or not seeing any bird.
Ang S — Google review
Larnaca Salt Lake fills with water during the winter and dries up in the summer to reveal a salt crust. This natural cycle attracts large flocks of migratory birds. Thousands of flamingos arrive from November to feed on the shrimp that thrive in the salt water.
Vivienne T — Google review
Larnaca Salt lake is a must destination when you are traveling to Cyprus. It is a big salted lake, and if you are lucky u can spot flamingos! It's a great place for walking, jogging and looking at the airplanes since the airport is near the lake. During summer the lake gets dry and you see the salt.
Rafaella G — Google review
Pink flamingos 🦩 visit the lake in winter. When I visited in mid November there were 2 big groups. Should bring a good camera to get a good picture. However you can walk around and enjoy the views. Various parking around the lake.
Paul H — Google review
I visited it in November, and there were no birds, no water. Just a mud and salt. Large area covered by mud and salt. The guide said in winter there will be a lot of flamingo and water. It is located near Hala Sultan mosque.
David Z — Google review
Nice place for a walk alongside the salt lake, where you can watch the flamingos and other water birds. Great view of the Hala Sultan Tekkesi - this place has a ridiculous number of cute cats, it must be their sanctuary. There is several benches throughout the path, ideal to contemplate those magnificent birds.
Sónia M — Google review
This place is so beautiful and peaceful. It's easy to park, free of charge and it has a big open space. You can observe flamingos very easily from there, but they are quite shy birds, they won't come too close to the shore when you are there. But if you could be qiret and wait for a while, they would slowly come closer. Definitely a great place to get closer to nature! I highly recommend this spot!

Hala Sultan Tekke is a significant Muslim pilgrimage site located on the western shore of Larnaca Salt Lake. This historic landmark is surrounded by a beautiful garden and holds religious importance as it is believed to be the burial place of Umm Haram, Prophet Mohammed's foster mother. The city of Larnaca offers a blend of historical and cultural attractions, including ancient ruins, churches, and festivals like Kataklysmos.
Very beautiful, quiet and mysterious place with old legend about Holy woman who was a relative of Muhammad accidentally dead this area. There is the Tomb of her behind the Mosque. We are absolutely alone, only one person was in the entrance. The entrance is free.

Very nice mosque, I think it has been forgotten by the state, isn’t as clean and good looking as it was once upon a time. I hope it changes, but from a historic perspective it was very nice to see that it is still an active worship place. I feel like they should clean the name board of the mosque, it was full of dust…
Khan — Google review
It's nothing you haven't seen before, but it's worth the time, we couldn't go in due to our belief, but the gardens were really nice and well-maintained. I would also recommend walking along the salt lake path in summer and in winter...overall, not a bad experience, but nothing crazy.

Placed by salt lake, good time to sit on the bench and relax for the while. If flamingo 🦩 season -> extra special. If want to visit mosque than good dress is mandatory 😉

It is slightly off the beaten track but is still worth the effort to visit as it is a very nice mosque indeed. Perhaps it isn't as clean as it may have been in the past but still it was OK. Our only mistake was that my wife was not dressed properly and was refused entry. and so many stray cats around .... not pleasant.

Beautiful setting by the edge of the Salt Lake. Peaceful and scenic place, especially around sunset. Remember: ladies must wear full-length pants covered clothing to enter — no entry otherwise.

This mosque has been described as the third holiest place for Muslims in the world (some say the fourth, after Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem). During the Ottoman Empire, Ottoman-flagged ships would hang their flags at half mast when off the shores of Larnaca, and salute Hala Sultan with cannon shots. The mosque was built over the grave of Umm Haram, who was believed to be the sister of the Prophet Mohammed’s foster mother.

Historical place
Nestled at the southern end of Larnaca's picturesque promenade, the Larnaka Medieval Fort stands as a testament to centuries of history and architectural evolution. Originally built in the 12th century during King James' reign, this military structure has undergone significant transformations over time. After falling into disrepair, it was revitalized by the Ottomans in the early 17th century and later served various purposes, including a prison under British rule.
Old fort from the 12th century which had multiple purposes along the centuries. Visit is 2.5 euro. The place is already open from 8am. It's a nice and short visit. Especially if you are into forts, towers etc. There are old canons, and some chambers and a prison. The view from to top of the fort is beautiful, particularly during sunrise. There is also a museum on the second floor. Time of visit is around 30 minutes.
Guy A — Google review
Hmmm - not too sure about this. I guess it would be OK if you had nothing better to do, but there are better to see. It is an old fort from the 12th century which had multiple purposes along the centuries. The cost to visit is only 2.5 euro; so, it is not overly expensive and is really only a short visit. There are old canons, and some chambers and a prison; and the view from the top is pretty good.
Norm P — Google review
Very simple. The museum part is practically nonexistent. They need a better use for the upstairs room. Charging deterred many people from visiting when I was there, especially because nothing is reeling people in.

Had some time to kill so for €2.50 we thought we'd have a look. Not much going on, could really do with some information boards as you go around. There is one QR code by the tombs which give you a bit of background, but otherwise you need use your imagination. Good view from up the top out over the beach.

Nice small medieval fort right on the beach in Larnaca. The entrance fee is only €2.50, and it’s definitely worth a short visit. You can enjoy great views of the sea and the promenade from the top, and there’s a small museum inside with historical artifacts. A charming and peaceful place to explore during a walk along the coast.

The Byzantine Museum of Saint Lazarus is situated near the church of St. Lazaros in Larnaca, Cyprus. The museum houses a valuable collection of Byzantine and post-Byzantine icons, many originating from the holy temple of St. Lazaros and other district temples from the Metropolis of Kition.
It’s only €1 and they take card. Don’t miss the upstairs part, the oldest stuff is there. The items only date back to the 16th century, because it seems some other items were looted in 1963 and never recovered. Lady at the desk was nice. I saw it all in 15 minutes but you could go slower if you are more religious. Lots of depictions of Saints, not just St Lazarus.
Damian T — Google review
Little but great icons there. 1€ entrance. The only minus is that it is forbidden to take photos and they do not even have a variety of postcards to buy or a nice book with artifacts. At first I thought it was only forbidden to video or photo with flash, but it is completely.
Filip N — Google review
Beautiful little quaint museum just next to the main Church of Larnaka. The 1 euro entry fee is definitely worth the discovery of little artefacts dating back from the 16th century. A better rearrangement of the work, perhaps in chronological order, highlighting the different periods of Cyprus' variegated history, could improve the visit. A visit normally lasts between 20 and 40 minutes.
M V — Google review
The Agios Lazaros Byzantine Museum - This is a very small museum that, as I noticed, poor with the number of exhibits. Here you can see important religious icons, artefacts and relics. An interesting fact is that, thee museum is actually housed in some of the cells of the hypostyle porch. Yes, I almost forgot, it is strictly forbidden to take pictures inside the museum here.
Kakha K — Google review
This small museum contains a range of icons in varying states of preservation from the 16th to 19th centuries. You can also see ecclesiastic equipment like chalices, stoles, pectoral crosses and so on plus a Venetian baptismal font. It's not really a 'Byzantine' museum per se since everything there dates from the Venetian period at the earliest. The five small rooms can be seen in half an hour easily unless you're particularly interested in iconography and want to stay longer. For €1 it's worth it.
Wolfrespecter190 — Google review
Poor service. The people here rush at you demanding you hide your phone and show empty hands to avoid you from taking pictures. The exhibit is very small and rather dull in terms of selection. Compared for instance with nearby Larnaca castle exhibit which is nice and you can take there as many pictures as you like. The entrance fee here is 1 eur
Konstantin B — Google review
Beautiful orthodox church. Very well kept, it is absolutely a must visit, as well as the tomb of Saint Lazarus inside it. There is a basement that goes down to it. If you are in the area, I fully recommend going to visit. I enjoyed the visit very much even though I am an atheist.

The Kamares Aqueduct, also known as the Bekir Pasha Aqueduct, is a historic water bridge with 75 arches that was constructed in 1750 and remained operational until 1939. It serves as one of the most prominent water supplies ever built in Cyprus. The site is not only a marvel of engineering but also holds cultural and historical significance, being associated with the worship of Goddesses Artemis-Diana and Aphrodite-Astarte.
Reminds me of the aqueduct in Scotland. But with way, way hotter climate. End of September , still scorching hot. I was able to take nice videos and pictures, there was not anyone during mid day. Everyone must be at the beach. I went on a Monday.

A great end point if you are walking along the salt flat trail. The 18th century aquaduct is in great condition and is another part of Cyprus' long history with water movement and storage. 10min is enough time for a casual observer to take in enough of the structure. The wetlands directly behind it are home to many birds and the calls make a nice backdrop.

The Kamares Aqueduct in Larnaca was built between 1747 and 1750 by the Ottoman Governor Bekir Pasha to provide the city with a reliable water supply. This impressive engineering feat, which cost approximately 50,000 qirsh, was funded by Pasha himself as a public project. It draws water from the Tremithos River and other springs, channeling it to the city through a 16 km long system that includes a 75-arch bridge, a part of which is still visible today.

Djami Kebir Mosque, also known as Grand Mosque, is situated next to Larnaca Fort. Originally a Latin Holy Cross church, it was later converted into a mosque and now serves as the spiritual center for the Muslim community. The current structure dates back to the 19th century. The transition from church to mosque is evident in its architecture. Surrounding streets offer a different perspective of Larnaca with greenery and low-rise buildings.
A great mosque in the heart of Larnaca next to the fort. A well kept monument and a must visit attraction, and is believed to be the first Ottoman mosque in Cyprus, which prior to that in the 13th -14th century it was a Catholic church dedicated to Saint Katerina. The oldest reference of its existence is found in a 1747 document of Bekir Pasha, creator of the Larnaca aqueduct, which specifies that a public fountain at the mosque should receive water from his aqueduct. The fountain can still be seen today, just outside the mosque On the side of the mosque you can see a small cemetery.

After the conflict of 1974 and the division of Cyprus into two parts (Greek and Turkish), the mosque was closed, but Cypriot President Makarios III allowed the mosque to be opened after a visit by Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi to Cyprus in which he formally requested the president to open three mosques. The mosque was renovated in 2002 with the support of the United Nations and under the supervision of Saleh Lamei Mustafa, Director General of the Center for the Revival of the Heritage of Islamic Architecture. But still the historical mosque is in need of restoration inside out !

An absolutely must see dive spot if you visit Cyprus! Huge wreck, many interesting things to see, for example plenty of trucks. For technical divers there are special routes inside the hull. One of the best wreck dives I've ever seen. And it's possible to dive year round.
Rudolf G — Google review
Absolutely beautiful place to dive, definitely recommend, though made more for advanced divers. Especially recommend booking it before going on a holiday, since there are a lot of divers and we have heard you need to book in advance. Really a must visit for any diver who can handle big cargo ships.
Magwit — Google review
This awesome wreck is in the top ten wreck dives in the world and no wonder. It's an amazing scuba dive and definitely my favourite. The Zenobia lies on her side at 42m and depending on your diving exams and specialties, you can go though the bridge, under lorries chained to the deck, the cafeteria and out of the bow doors. This is my second time diving here with Cydive and big thank you to Pavlos for making it so special once again 👌
Andy T — Google review
Excellent dive site. The zenobia wreck is for advanced divers (30m depth). The beat is to have also an nixtrox certification to stay longer in the water. The stern is interesting to see with all the lorries at 30 and at 40 m depth. At the front of the wreck, you can find the canteen and the bridge. Recommend doing at least two dives on the wreck with a good dive center. The water temperature is 18°C so expect to wear a thick wetsuit with a hoodie and booties.
Carola B — Google review
An Incredible wreck to dive and I will be diving it again soon. It really does shock you of how incredible this wreck is. Anyone who does want to go onto the advance parts of the wreck, I would advise you take your Advanced Open Water, Nitrox and Deep Diver courses to get the best out of it.

Today, on my husband’s birthday, we had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful gallery and meeting its owner and artist. We were truly impressed by the refined taste and captivating themes of the paintings — featuring local landscapes and romantic scenes. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the artist himself, an intelligent and kind person, even congratulated my husband with a small thoughtful gift! In addition to original artworks, the gallery also offers a range of practical everyday items adorned with the artist’s prints — eyeglass cases, umbrellas, handbags, greeting cards, and more. If you are looking for a bright, meaningful, and high-quality souvenir to remember Cyprus by, this gallery is a must-visit!

The most amazing experience! Theo and his wife are welcoming and pleasant people. They made us feel like honor guests. We bought some of the postcards and an umbrella

I had often noticed Theo Michael’s beautiful posters around Larnaca – they always caught my eye and inspired me. This time, I decided to step into his gallery just around the corner, and I am so glad I did! The gallery is warm, cozy and full of inspiring paintings. His artworks have such atmosphere – you really feel like you are stepping into another world. Theo and his wife welcome visitors with such kindness, which makes the visit even more special. It is a wonderful experience, both for the art and the hospitality. A visit to his gallery is truly worth it – highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I found Theo Michael’s incredible works online and had the pleasure of visiting the gallery today to pick up 3 of the works I had purchased online. Such a hidden gem in Larnaca, loved the experience and Theo and his wife were such warm and generous people. I LOVE the paintings having hung them in my flat and am super happy with the experience.

I had a wonderful experience visiting the gallery! The selection of paintings was impressive - there’s so much variety in style and subject, yet all the works feel full of meaning and have their own message. I also appreciated the fact that all artworks are available in different formats (classical paintings, posters, canvas prints, even postcards!), making it accessible for art lovers with different budgets :) One of the highlights was getting to speak with Theo and his lovely wife Anna. They were both incredibly kind and open, and it was interesting to hear more about the stories behind their life and artworks. I definitely recommend visiting the gallery!
Anastasia S — Google review
We were given two pieces by Theo Michael as a gift a couple of years back, and on a recent stopover in Larnaca, we decided to visit his shop. I’m so glad we did. It’s a welcoming space run by Theo and his wife, both of whom were an absolute pleasure to meet. The shop is filled with lovely work, many pieces of which feature local scenes from around Larnaca, each seemingly with its own story. We, of course, left with a third piece and look forward to visiting the location that inspired it. If you find yourself in Larnaca, I highly recommend stopping by.

Brought two tickets for Liverpool v Bayer Leverkusen. Tickets were mobile tickets, so easier than meeting someone before and after the game. Seamless and easy transaction and a very nice surprise when the tickets were upgraded to better ones than I paid for. 100% recommend and will defiantly use again
Anthony G — Google review
My Friend purchased a ticket from this sight back in January to watch Liverpool Football Club v Tottenham Hotspur today. My friend lives all the way in Germany and had a life long dream to see Liverpool play at Anfield. He decided to ride his bicycle all the way from Germany and arrived in Liverpool on Friday after travelling 900 miles on his bicycle. What this site didn't tell him is that sometimes you don't receive an email with your e-ticket and they just send you a message with someones WhatsApp telephone number and then to meet some stranger in a pub nearby the stadium to collect your ticket and then after the game you give in back to them. That's sounds very suspicious to me and if he'd of known that he wouldn't of purchased the ticket from them in the beginning. He messaged the person and that person who he should of met never turned up and he travelled all that way. He is absolutely heartbroken and very disappointed with the Wow ticket website and the person not turning up with the ticket in the end. Don't trust this site as they can't guarantee that you receive your ticket if its not an electronic ticket. They responded to his email and just said sorry about that. NEVER TRUST THIS SITE

Ordered tickets for Man United game and started to chase for digital tickets on 14/8. Had several live chats with ‘Danny’ & Samantha saying they will be email me over and been promised (had email confirmation too)to have them no later than 1pm on day of the match. We had to travel over 1.5h to get to Manchester and we chase up again as it was 3:30pm and no tickets on email as yet. During that time I’ve received an email that order cancelled. they gave me 2 options to decide. This time of a day when you have travelled, spend all that money and travel long time for them to cancel like that. There’s no reason to mess people like that, also asking for refund and don't know it takes how long. PLEASE AVOID!!!!
Tiffany W — Google review
If you are someone who doesn't mind last minute nerves breakdown then this is definitely the place for you. Me on the other hand...NEVER AGAIN. Ordered tickets months in advance said tickets should arrive 1-3 days before the match. Did live chat, was promised not later than day before. Day came and went no tickets, contacted them, arriving no later than 1130 on the day. Mind you we had 5 hour journey ahead of us but on we went, 1130 came and went no tickets. Went on live chat, will raise urgent request...nothing. I cannot say with certainty but once I said I will call my bank report fraud and get money back they appeared. If you read the small print they do say in some cases tickets are issued on the day but that is simply not right, people travel long way for this and to have the stress of will they actually get in the stadium or not...no thank you. On positive note, they was quick at replying just nothing helpful till last minute and we did eventually get our tickets so not a scam 🤷
Davorka S — Google review
Purchased tickets for a Manchester United game 2 weeks in advance. Constantly asked for tickets to be told they would be sent on the day. Made a 4 hour trip to be sent an email 4 hours before kick off they don’t have them. Absolute scammers

If i could give 0 stars i would . bought tickets for Liverpool vs Southampton months before . birthday present for son first ever game .Sent few emails before to ask about delivery all good. 2 days before game late evening email sorry we cannot deliver refund only. Day before game sent few emails from asking for answers - nothing zero answers. Still waiting for refund will update if given. AVOID at all cost all you will get is disappointment. Absolute joke. Just quick update still waiting for refund no answer from business NIGHTMARE to deal with . Reported to authorities waiting response .
Norbert B — Google review
Don't trust this site the tickets never show up. We bought ticket for Liverpool v Tottenham and the day before just received an email saying hear is the phone number on WhatsApp and meet them in pub for collection. No answer on phone no messages never turned up. What a crap site and even the person you are ment to meet.

Ordered tickets for Man U vs West Ham, they sent me a message the day before saying they couldn’t give me the tickets and could only offer me a ‘partial refund’. Contacted them and haven’t had an email since. Haven’t received any refund and not heard a word. Shut this website down ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!
