The Cascade Complex in Yerevan is a must-see for those interested in modern and contemporary art. It features a cascading series of stairs, landscaped gardens, fountains, and sculptures. The complex is home to an arts center and houses several museums, including the impressive Swarovski Museum. The unfinished Cascade is a recognizable landmark that connects downtown Yerevan with Victory Park and residential areas beyond the park.
This is really amazing being a fantastic stairway. It has multiple levels with really interesting terraces and outdoor gardens combined with fountains sculptures and various displays and also we can see the city from each levels. The wonderful views over the city is amazing and when we are coming down a good area to relax and plenty of restaurant's.
Anish A — Google review
During our stay in Jerevan, we visited this place several times, and we really liked it. As a Colombian, it was a surprise to find three Fernando Botero sculptures on the lower floor, which nourished my soul. We really enjoyed Fromm the ground floor, each level rising to the obelisk at the top of this monument. We really enjoyed climbing the more than 700 steps to get there. I would definitely return. It would be nice to find the intermediate section, which is under construction, finished upon returning. It also has escalators for people who can't walk up. very nice view of Mount Ararat from here.
Félix C — Google review
Really a must go when u visit Yerevan, great design in terms of sculpture and architecture. Also incomparable view over the city. If you don’t want to climb all the stairs you can take the lift on the left then walk your way down each level, but even to me who absolutely don’t have enough exercise the stairs don’t seem too much. Highly recommend to visit during sunrise or sunset, it’s an eye treat to see how lighting (or the absence of it) affects how the cascade looks. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and there weren’t too many ppl Free entry with additional bonus of a few stray dogs taking walks and enjoying sunset
T Z — Google review
It looks impressive from afar and it is the smae when you get near it. Did not had the lick to have clear skies for seeing Ararat (from what we've heard, there's rarely any chance in August for this) but the whole experience was nice. The area is full with caffees and restaurants anyway (in the plaza before climbing) and it is really beautiful there - including the area of the quirky statues 😉. Really nice area to visit and hang out at any point of the day. A visit to the art's centre is recommended as well.
Stelios A — Google review
Very beautiful part of the city, especially on sunny days. There is a nice little park with flowers and art, a beautiful and peaceful vibe, a lot of couples and friendly people. You should definitely visit it. Take the escalator up and walk the stairs down. From there, take a walk into the beautiful city center.
F G — Google review
I really think you should visit this museum, which is located in the city center. This was my second time traveling to Yerevan and I truly enjoyed it. The people are very warm and genuine. The museum is right in the heart of the city, and if you're lucky and the weather is nice when you reach the top, you can see a panoramic view of the entire city. If you ever happen to be in Yerevan, make sure to explore the art pieces inside and also take your time to enjoy the view.
Burak ( — Google review
Breath taking! Beautiful! Elegant! Timeless. The fountains on the bottom around 30 feet deep, you'd never know unless you went down the steps! Incredible! Walk all the steps up, count how many! Each level has different design fountains! There are even some hidden steps too, keep your eyes out and take them :) Wonderful view of Mount Ararat, Yerevan, during the day. Evening time, beautiful sunset! There is an escalator that takes you all the way up if you don't want to walk all the steps. Don't step on the grass, they don't like it.
Cost — Google review
Visited on a hot day. Took the escalator up. Worth visiting if you are in Yerevan. A lot of sculpturs and art pieces. Saw some pieces from Colombian's Botero famous for im-proportioante art.

Republic Square, formerly known as Lenin Square, is a grand city square in Yerevan. It is a popular venue for public events and celebrations. The square features colorful and singing fountains that operate from mid-spring to fall, creating a vibrant atmosphere from 9 pm to 11:30 pm. Designed by neoclassical architect Alexander Tamanian, the square holds historical significance as it was originally named after Soviet leader Lenin and housed a statue of him until 1991.
Republic Square was the first stop of our Armenia trip, as it was just a short walk from our hotel in Yerevan. It was the perfect place to get a feel of the city.. lively, historic, and full of character. We visited both during the day and at night, and the evening was truly magical. The square lights up beautifully with dancing fountains, colorful lights, and a vibrant mix of locals and tourists enjoying the scenery. Despite it being summer, the cool night breeze made our walk comfortable. I even had a nostalgic moment holding balloons like a kid again 😅 it added a personal touch to an already memorable night. A must-visit in Yerevan!
Cathy M — Google review
Excellent environment at the Republic square. Mostly Families, friends are gathering from 8PM onwards. Colorful water fountain show will start from 9PM. No much rush. It's large area, so you can stay peaceful. So many shops, restaurants near that area. And also you can enjoy some music & singer street performers near that area. Police always be there. So place is well secured. We enjoyed with our kids. Highly recommend to visit Republic square at the weekend. So when you schedule the trip to Armenia, add this place also and visit by Saturday or Sunday. Nice people and peaceful environment.
Chandana J — Google review
Awesome vibes. Weekend was full of fountain musical shows and you won’t get bored because it’s continuous running with different music and light show every time. you keep enjoying the evening and won’t feel to return back.
Jagdish G — Google review
Beautiful water and light show that goes along with the classical music! What a wonderful surprise! So many hidden water features. Very busy but lots of space, doesn't seem like you're on top of each other. Really enjoyed the environment!

Republic Square is a must-visit spot in Yerevan. It’s the main square of the city and full of energy. The architecture is beautiful, especially at night when the buildings are lit up. The musical fountains are a big highlight, fun to watch and perfect for families or couples. There are lots of cafes, museums, and shops around. It’s also a great place to take photos or just relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Yerevan!
Sam — Google review
Republic Square is the heart of Yerevan and an absolute must-see! The architecture is beautiful, especially in the evening when the lights turn on. The musical fountains are a highlight and create such a lively and magical atmosphere. It’s a great place to relax, take photos, and feel the energy of the city.

Amazing Place To Spend Quality Time With Family & Friends. Mark, Historical, Center Place of Armenia. Must Visit this place who visit Armenia. Water fountain is mixed of opera. Music & Water Amazing.
Eafta H — Google review
Watching the fountain show in Yerevan was truly amazing. From the moment it started, the water, lights, and music came together in a way that felt magical. The fountains danced in perfect rhythm with the songs, shooting high into the air and then falling gracefully, all lit up with beautiful colors. It was like watching a live performance, but with water as the main star. What I loved most was how the atmosphere brought people together. Families, couples, and tourists all gathered around the square, smiling and enjoying the show. The music was a mix of classical and modern tunes, which made it even more fun because there was something for everyone. Each song felt like a different story told through the movement of the water and the play of lights. The best part is that it’s completely free, making it one of the most enjoyable and accessible experiences in the city. Sitting there and watching the fountains, with the warm evening air and the lively crowd, felt unforgettable. Overall, the fountain show was a highlight of my trip—beautiful, entertaining, and filled with energy. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Yerevan.

Victory Park, also known as Haghtanaki Zbosaygi in Armenian, is a renowned urban woodland located at the top of Cascade Complex. It commemorates Soviet Armenia's involvement in World War II and offers visitors an array of attractions. The park features an amusement park, a serene lake, numerous cafes, and stunning views of central Yerevan. One of its highlights is the iconic Mother Armenia statue with a military museum beneath it.
The park is a must-visit destination. The easiest way to reach it on foot is through the Cascade Complex, where you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the city as you climb the steps. If you're visiting this country, this park should be on your list. With its stunning top-down view of the city, it offers an unforgettable experience.

This museum is a great spot, offering detailed information about the history and facts related to the wars. Their collection of supporting evidence is impressive. It’s definitely worth a visit, and the viewpoint provides a lovely perspective of the city. I personally enjoyed my time there.

Victory Park is a nice spot to walk around in Yerevan. The Ferris wheel has amazing views of Yerevan. Some of the rides are too old to feel safe, but there are plenty of options and food around. The atmosphere is calm on weekdays with no crowds. Great place for a walk and a fun time.
Hayk A — Google review
The tall statue is beautiful and the park around it is above the town with good scenery There is a free mesum which displays some war items and mainly the pictures of war heros of Armenia which have been perished in wars for the country. There is a big parking space nearby. Which is used as a driver training when empty!

Small children entertainment park along with Soldiers Monument, the great statue of Mother Of Armenia and few eateries.

In the vibrant city of Yerevan, Armenia, there's a wealth of cultural and historical attractions to explore. One must-visit destination is Matenadaran, also known as the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts. This renowned repository houses an impressive collection of rare manuscripts, parchments, and books.
Definitely visit for a unique museum! The entrance and building is very cool and their collection of manuscripts is amazing! Many old and biblical texts in addition to others such as political documents, medical texts, etc. They accepted our international university ID cards and gave us the student discount (each student ticket costs 300).
Hossein Z — Google review
A unique museum presenting an interesting collection of manuscripts from various the Middle Ages onwards. They are all very pretty, and the only downside is the small size of the museum.
Matthew U — Google review
What a powerful place. Seeing 2000-year-old manuscripts up close is just an incredible experience. The collection is vast and includes texts from many different countries. We had a great guide who made the whole visit super interesting and easy to understand. If you're into history, you can't miss this.
Kristjan R — Google review
Amazing old Bibles!! Wonderful place Very great lay out. Bibles are explained in four languages so you can read and understand. The staff will answer questions if you ask them, so that's also nice. You can take pictures without flash.
Cost — Google review
I did not know what to expect from this museum, but I certainly did not expect to be so deeply...moved by its collection. The minuscule details, the amount of time, work, attention, precision, and talent that went into producing those illuminations and miniatures simply blew me away. A must see in Yerevan.
Marta T — Google review
It has a great collection of manuscripts on display. However it's a shame that it doesn't let people take photos or videos. And the fit shop section was closed during our visit on a Friday early afternoon and we couldn't buy anything though we wanted to. There were many people working though.
Rhys T — Google review
Super nice museum, even if many exhibits are not in a Western language. But the atmosphere, the ancient scriptures are all well displayed.

Zoos & Aquariums
Yerevan Zoo is a fantastic destination for families and kids, offering a diverse range of animals including birds, predatory animals, and wild creatures. With over 2,000 residents from around the globe, the zoo provides an opportunity to observe wildlife up close. Additionally, visitors can enjoy live feeding viewings and interact with friendly animals at the petting zoo. It's an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll or to escape the summer heat in Yerevan.
A wonderful spot to see healthy, happy animals thriving in well-maintained habitats! The zoo’s diverse collection impressed me—from playful monkeys to majestic big cats. Every creature looked well-fed and lively, especially the star attraction: a magnificent, white lion with a gleaming coat and energetic presence. A must-visit for animal lovers! 🦁✨
Cyrus J — Google review
Zoo was great kid loved it. It actually exceeded expectations altbought there is room for improvement especially in the reptile room its definitely a fun day out for the family. .
Gazza M — Google review
Today I visited Yerevan Zoo and it was quite an interesting experience. The location is very convenient since it’s close to the city center, making it easy to get there. The zoo itself is large and clean, with plenty of space to walk around and enjoy. However, seeing the animals kept in cages was a bit upsetting, especially the birds, whose small enclosures felt more uncomfortable to watch. Despite that, the variety of animals was impressive, and the overall design of the zoo was beautiful. I’d say it’s a nice place to visit, and overall, it was a positive and memorable experience.
Reza R — Google review
Just finished my visit to the zoo and honestly I was so happy and impressed 😍 This is the first time I see tigers and lions live and so up-close! 🥹 The staff is very nice, make sure you buy solid food when you are buying your entrance ticket as you can feed most of the animals inside 🤗 This is the first time I go to a zoo and literally see all the animals there - some of them are more shy and hide better than others though 😉 The tigers and lions were so impressive, they were the highlight of my visit 💫 The elephant and camel are super cute, the bears and monkeys/baboons are fun to watch, and the different birds/vultures/pheasants were also nice to appreciate up-close and from different angles. Make sure you pass by the reptiles space once you exit the zoo, you will need to walk a few steps forward then take your left - it looks like a small house on the outside. Good to know: -Opening hour is @10AM and it’s better to go early so you can enjoy your time without the zoo being too busy. -Entrance fee is for 1000ADM and a small bag of solid food is for 500ADM. -No need to take water bottles as there are several water fountains inside. -There is a parking space but it is better to take a taxi especially if you are arriving later than noon because it will be packed with cars especially on a weekend. -Expect to walk up and down as the zoo is not on the same level so make sure you wear comfortable shoes and clothes. -Kids will love it there as they will see animals closely and be able to feed them. Happy visit! 🤩

Great experience. A nice place specially for kids. They will love it.
Sadegh T — Google review
Its on mountain the roads are hard if you have kids and stroller , and most of animals either sleeps or cages are empty & its dirty as well . I do not recommend .

Cheap entering price. Around 2.5$ for adult. Child age 3+ pay as adult.
Shay E — Google review
The zoo is beautiful, but I would like to note that there is a cheeta i guess there and the fence was so low i felt that he is ready to jump and make me his dinner that day. It is very dangerous I would recommend to make the fence a little bit higher!😨 But overall experience was 9/10. You can give the animals food there.

Scenic Railroads
The Children's Railway, nestled in the scenic Hrazdan Gorge, offers a delightful experience for kids and families. Dating back to 1937, this charming attraction allows visitors to step back in time as they explore its old ticket office and colorful red, blue, and white locomotive and passenger coaches. The train ride provides picturesque views of the Hrazdan River and surrounding mountains. Additionally, the park features serene picnic spots and a convenient swimming area for enjoying the river.
Beautiful abandoned railway station. Fascinating to see from the pictures here that it still seems to have been operational just a few years ago.
Sebastian K — Google review
Abandoned children railway station with rail and train still in place. It has become a walking trail for the residents as saw many couple coming in for a walk.
Eng L — Google review
Not what I expected… But great for taking photos. Old abandoned trains, situated on the river, below an abandoned amusement park. The trains are run down but provide great texture and colour for photographing. Some carriages are still suitable for sitting in. Could be a good place for a picnic. Although I felt safe, I wouldn’t suggest going alone.
Leonard E — Google review
Hope one day this children railroad will start working again. But now it still may show a piece of past. Interesting and sad 😪
Alex C — Google review
It is an amazing place. The train, the nature, birds sound, the river and the calm all make you feel relax immediately. You rarely can find such a great atmosphere in the heart of cities and capitals nowadays. So it is highly recommended 👌 I spend lot of times with family member here
Khosrow S — Google review
An abandoned and inoperative children's railway, where parents and their children still come to look at the abandoned trains and wagons. There are garbage everywhere. It is sad that such a neglected place is standing there.
Dominykas K — Google review
Beautiful almost abandoned place (you can catch the train at the weekends though), enjoy your walk on the old rails among Razdan river and old walls covered with graffiti

Yerevan Water World is a popular water park located in the Armenian capital, offering a variety of attractions spread across 3 hectares. The park features outdoor and indoor pools, water slides, and play areas for children. Situated between the Yerevan Zoo and Botanical Garden, it provides entertainment for families, couples, and friends. With its adventure swimming pools, slides, and fitness facilities, it's an ideal spot to beat the summer heat while enjoying a range of aquatic activities.
Awesome place for kids and adults. Had a blast with kids here today. Food and service is awesome. Bathrooms can be cleaner but nothing to be concerned about. Highly recommended!
Ash H — Google review
It was a good water park, but not perfect. Still worth to visit it if you don't expect too much. Bought VIP tickets but I guess it's not worth it. So normal tickets would be better It didn't have hot showers at the end and a good place to change. Very kind staff and helpful people. Also it had good restaurants to eat.
Sky M — Google review
We read terrible reviews about this place but it has not been our experience at all. Staff have been helpful. Our kids enjoyed the sides even if they look a bit old. The water was clean and a good temperature. Food at the shops by the pool is reasonably priced, but just ok. There is only one slide you have to pay for. Some slides open from 12 and others opened at 1 and 2 pm. We paid 30,000AMD for two adults and two children including VIP covered seating area with lounge chairs and a sofa.
Ruth T — Google review
The place is great and fun, we spent great time there, but they really need to followup the maintaince of the pools, the slides are well maintained, the pools flooring requires attention. the employees where fun as well.
Vartan C — Google review
The worst experience you can have in Armenia is visiting this water park! Not only will they take your money, but they’ll also ruin your mood. You have to pay extra for literally everything you touch inside the park! • Expensive ticket, poor water quality, and freezing cold water • Changing rooms and lockers cost extra! • Staff are extremely rude and aggressive • Very poor safety standards • Even the slides require extra payment — despite the expensive entrance fee If you care about your well-being, do NOT go there!
Jeff H — Google review
Quite pricy for what they actually offer. Safety wise I would say not very safe, a young girl had a iron barrier post falling unto her head as it wasn't securely fixed to the ground.
Yeva T — Google review
The pools are great, but not in optimal conditions, the pools must be repainted soon) Moreover the place is really cool and is nice to be there, the staff if very kind and they speak English and Russian as well
Armando E — Google review
We were waiting In line at the slides where you have to get the floatie then go on the slide and he was letting everybody go again and again and again and I understand that the yellow ones are bout by and you can go as much as you want but the blue ones are for every dog and he let every dog though and we waited 2 hours just to go one time and he had the audacity to say one time per person and then you have to wait in line again so I told him that he is not doing his job correctly and we would be giving one star and letting the manager know but I still recommend going here but this is just a random thing that happens at random times we still over it here but he is the only reason that this is getting one star so if you are waiting in line and he’s letting all the blue ones go again and again just leave the line and do the other slides that don’t require a floatie

Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex in Yerevan is an architecturally significant building that serves as the official memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. The complex offers educational exhibits and guided tours, providing a powerful museum experience similar to Israel's Yad Vashem.
An enlightening experience, to learn about the horrors and atrocities people can inflict on each other. I hope that no such thing ever happens to another nation. The memorial site was amazingly built, and the museum building was very educational, plus there were guides who could explain the history in English and Russian.

What a beautiful and moving place it was, one of the most detailed museums I've been to with full explanations in different languages, which is rare in Armenia. It would have been better if there were people who gave brief oral explanations in English.

Sad, grim and sobering experience understanding the background of the Armenian Genocide. Hope that no other race will ever go through the atrocities undergone by the Armenian people. One event like that is one too many. The guide gave a detailed tour of the museum

Makes me humble visiting places like this but today was particularly special because of Genocide Memorial Day in Armenia and beyond its confines. Well worked out one way system for visitors to get in, to the eternal flame and then out again without any need for pushing and shoving. Everything remained calm and peaceful. A very powerful experience.

What a tribute to the people who sacrificed their life to country's sake? Indeed a nice monument. The guide here are really passionate about their job, explain the history beautifully. My eyes were wet after hearing the cruel act of Turkey's towards Armenian. This is a must visit place and pray for departed soul.

One of the best historical museum. The memorial complex is very nice, well designed and so peaceful. The museum is very well organized and informative. You can get a guided tour but i prefer to do it myself so i can read all info and go through details. I highly advised you to check the museum once there.

The History Museum of Armenia is a renowned institution boasting a vast collection of archaeological artifacts, ranging from bronze items to chariots. The museum offers an insightful journey through Armenia's history, showcasing its cultural heritage and longstanding connections with other civilizations. Visitors can explore the country's turbulent past and its evolution into modern times through well-curated exhibits on archaeology, ethnography, numismatics, and historical documents. The Historical Museum of Armenia is a large building with various historical significance with objects from various periods that guide you through one after the other. It is worth your visit, It should be noted that it is one of the largest history museums I have visited. A beautiful trip for art fans.

I visited this museum on the morning of Oct 12 th 2025. The collections you have is very impressive. The history of Armenia dated far back to the Assyrian, mesopotamia era and much more there's so much to go through but with just 1/2 an hour is not enough. I came in with tour group. By the way, obsidian tools I highlighted spelling error on the "blandes" maybe some people don't read the descriptions but I do... Hehe

That's a very good museum but not spectacular though. You have to be interested or at least curious about the Antiquity, otherwise it might look a bit boring. Very informative for those wishing to go deep into Armenia's deep past. The country used to be vastly greater and larger than it is at present. It came referred side by side with Babylon and Egypt in ancient times. I would call it a mandatory visit.

“If you travel to Armenia, make sure to visit this museum. It showcases artifacts from the very beginning of humanity up to the present day. I personally visited the section about the years when Armenia was part of the Soviet Union, but unfortunately that part was under renovation at the time.

The History Museum of Armenia in Yerevan (established 1920) is a compact yet captivating journey through the nation’s rich tapestry—archaeology, ethnography, numismatics, and modern history—all under one roof. Located in Republic Square, it’s ideal for a leisurely 1–2 hour visit, especially on weekday mornings when it’s quiet. This museum offers a concise, well-preserved snapshot of Armenia’s millennia-old heritage. If you’ve already explored churches and monasteries, it enriches your understanding with archaeology, art, and historical depth. Despite its size, it’s consistently rated a top museum in Yerevan.

The park has both indoor and outdoor attractions in addition to the playground which is larger than usual playgrounds. The place is clean ,the attractions are quite nice and different options. It costs us 12000 drams per ticket. The food and beverage are not bad and affordable. I would recommend the park for one day from 2 pm to 9 pm.

Such a fun, beautiful, clean theme park. We came on a weekday and there was virtually no waiting. There were various rides for each of my kids 1, 9, and 12, and coasters were fun for me and my husband too. There is a small but fun splash park for hot days. There is a diaper changing room in the bathroom which was convenient. A beautiful sit-down restaurant but we didn’t want to spend our time eating so we tried the indoor food and everything was delicious. Of course slightly higher priced than elsewhere but that is expected in theme parks. The only oddity was one attendant not allowing my daughter to ride until her shorts were thoroughly dry - she wasn’t even soaking wet, just had some wet spots on her shorts. Overall a lovely experience, the lights in the evening and views of Ararat are breathtaking!

Overall: This place is super fun and big. There are lots of attractions for kids and adults too. All the equipment seems to be new (and safe). Staff is polite and helpful. There seems to he daily performances for kids. Some attractions in the outside area may not be accessible on a bad or cold weather, so plan accordingly. There are no water fountains so you’ll have to buy the water. Tickets: I wish they had discounts for grownups. We has to pay 100% of ticket price for all members of our party even though some grownups didn’t use any of the attractions. Parking: there is plenty of parking available. Generally it doesn’t seem to be overly crowded. You wouldn’t see lines anywhere.

Great place to spend time with your kids while in Yerevan. Fun for all ages. While we were there, they also had an Fc24 and street soccer tournament. Also, the food court was clean and great. Unlimited rides for 14000 with no wait time, can't beat that.

For those who have never visited this type of amusement park in Europe, Yerevan Park might seem somewhat expensive. However, it is actually not expensive, as it still costs half the price of amusement parks in Europe. Moreover, commentators should understand that this kind of ride requires constant periodic maintenance and specialized professionals, which is very costly for the company. Also, do not forget that cleanliness, elegance, workers, and staff all require salaries—and in order for them to perform their duties properly, they must receive decent pay. In my opinion, everything in this park is superb. Let us not forget that in all the Caucasus countries, there is no amusement park of this size, elegance, and sophistication.

The Armenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, established in 1933, is a magnificent circular opera house located in Yerevan. It showcases an array of captivating opera and ballet performances, ranging from classical masterpieces to contemporary works. The theater's opulent design and grand interiors add to the allure of its concerts. Renowned for its talented artists and diverse repertoire, it attracts both local enthusiasts and international visitors.
I think there are ballet and opera performances almost every night. The hall is very large. You can buy tickets on-site and online, but if you wait until just a few hours before the show, they might be sold out. I recommend not choosing seats on the sides of the hall, as you’ll miss half of the stage view. Overall, it’s a beautiful place, and as a tourist, watching a ballet performance here was a truly enjoyable experience
Matin D — Google review
Went to see russian The Nutcracker ballet. The Opera is really beautiful both from the outside and the inside, including the garden all around the Opera. The auditorium itself wasn't that big, which is actually good news since we were pretty far from the main stage yet had a beautiful view on it. The show itself was beautiful, everyone being very talented. The only flaw of the show wasn't even the price (~30€) but more of the time it took. It wasn't even an hour long which was a bit disappointing.
Eden — Google review
Sublime! I attended Gayane ballet and it seemed the story they showed was not similar to the original one but still, the dancers were captivating and the orchestra playing the music was top notch. No complaints. Worth every penny. I recommend also booking in rows 5-16 as rows 1-4 despite being closest to the stage, maybe be obstructed easily by people sitting in front of you. During intermissions there are drinks or treats for extremely reasonable prices to other opera houses in other countries.

The Yerevan Opera and Ballet Theatre provided an unforgettable evening for our family of four. We attended a performance of the classic opera, "Carmen," and were thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. Opting to purchase our tickets online in advance was an excellent decision, as it allowed us to choose the perfect seats, ensuring a great view for everyone in our party. The venue itself is stunning, boasting beautiful architecture that makes the pre-show and intermission moments feel as grand as the performance. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, a perfect setting for introducing our two teenagers to the magic of live opera. The quality of the production was exceptional. The orchestra was masterful, creating a rich and immersive soundscape, and the vocal performances were powerful and deeply moving. We were particularly captivated by the lead performers, whose passion and talent brought the story to life. "Carmen" proved to be an ideal choice for a family outing. The drama, passion, and well-known melodies kept everyone engaged from beginning to end. It was truly a delight to see our teenagers so engrossed in the performance, proving that the timeless art of opera can captivate a modern audience. This was more than just a show; it was a memorable family experience that we will cherish for years to come. We highly recommend attending a performance at the Yerevan Opera and Ballet Theatre, and we look forward to returning on our next visit.

Lover’s Park in Yerevan is absolutely magical in autumn, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots in the city. This Japanese-style park completely transforms when the leaves change, filling the park with warm reds, oranges, and yellows that create a cozy and romantic vibe. If you’re a nature lover or a photographer, you’ll be in heaven every corner of the park offers a perfect shot. The park has such a peaceful atmosphere, with winding paths, little ponds, wooden bridges, and gentle waterfalls, all surrounded by vibrant autumn foliage. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing walk, quiet reflection, or just sitting on a bench with a warm drink, soaking in the beauty of the season. But it’s not just the nature that makes Lover’s Park special. The park is also home to unique art installations and sculptures. The mix of nature, art, and beautiful fall colors makes it a serene and striking escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. If you’re in Yerevan during autumn, definitely make a visit to Lover’s Park. Whether you want to take a romantic stroll, capture some vibrant photos, or just relax surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect spot to experience the essence of the season in the heart of the city. You can even access the park through the Soviet-era metro station located nearby!

😀 I'm an architect by education and visiting such museums is a must for me in all countries. Here I was surprised by the collection of Aivazovsky, a whole hall and more than 40 works. Also stunning graphics from the Art Nouveau period. A delightful hall with iconostases, very large and sweeping. Surprising! 😕Minuses: elevators didn't work. Not easy to navigate. Stunningly beautiful pyramid with a multi-block greenery surrounded by artistic statues. The pyramid itself has escalators on the inside, with art exhibitions on each level. The exterior of the building was just as spectacular, as the structure itself has the mix of artistic accents, statues, and a great city vista. My advice is to take the escalators up, and walk down. Very nice botanical garden but a big part is under construction, so I think it will show it's full potential in the future. Contrary to a lot of reviews, there are quite a few signs that give information on the origin of trees. I recommend it for a short walk or 30'-60' during winter.

The Erebuni Fortress, dating back to 782 BC, is a significant archaeological site in Yerevan. It is considered the birthplace of the city and played a crucial role in its early history. The fortress complex sits on a hill and features cuneiform inscriptions as well as an artifact-filled museum that provides insights into Yerevan's ancient past. Excavated during the 20th century, the ruins offer visitors a glimpse into the early settlements of the area.
I was there in 2019 and nothing has changed since then which is very disappointing. The museum on the open air is managed very purely. You can see that the walls of the precious old city are scratched by vandals, thousands of names dated even in recent years. And the security guys instead of doing their job of guarding the museum just offer you excursions when you enter it. No funds at all are spent on this wonderful piece of ancient architecture.

The museum is small, but interesting. After the museum I did go to the fortress. Nice view to round the town. Interesting place. The fortress shold be in every sightseeing program. The bus number 97 did bring me to this place.

One of the most underrated places to visit in Yerevan! It’s truly fascinating, you can walk among the ruins of different fortress structures ranging from temples to servant rooms, and all that built more than 2800 years ago! There’s also a museum, unfortunately most of it was closed for construction, but we managed to have a small tour of some exhibits with Ms. Rosa, a very sweet and nice lady who told us lots and lots of interesting facts, we truly enjoyed it. Also there’s a beautiful view of Ararat from the top of the hill.

If you like to know the birth place of Yerevan then you should visit this place. They are still fixing it but it's a nice view up there too.
Mary S — Google review
Museum is quite small and fortress itself not impressing, but on the top it's a nice spot to overlook area around. Cost of entrance is 1500 AMD
Alex C — Google review
Visit the museum better than the fortress. I was disappointed with the way they tried to rehabilitate the spot; it's awful 😞, there is only some ruins left as it is inside walls and the rest are newly masoned with concrete it's awfully built. You can visit if you like the top views so you view most of Yerevan from that spot, but if you are looking for historical attraction don't go there.
Monzer ( — Google review
There are two parts to the experience. An old-style museum - you know the type: pots under glass, single line explanations in a handful of languages, and the occasional detailed board with some historic context. Some of the exhibits are interesting, yet the monotony of the presentation means that, by the end of the visit, you're skimming over the latter items. The museum lacks a degree of interaction, videos of the extensive excavations that have happened etc. There were a lot of staff members for such a small place, yet they simply wanted to gruffly point you in the obligatory direction (yes, you MUST peruse the museum in the 'right order'). For me, the museum receives a solid 2 stars. It's small, but potentially interesting displays are sorely lacking, as are staff smiles. The second part is a walk around the large fortress itself. There are QR codes dotted around, which were somewhat useful (although a few web pages didn't load), and a number of sun-baked boards detailing interesting areas of the ruins. A comprehensive map at the entrance of the fortress helps a lot, although having it repeated around other parts of the complex would have been useful too. As the fortress was originally composed of thick stone foundations, and sun-dried mud bricks for the upper levels, it makes sense that we're just left with just the thick lower stones, creating a labyrinth of walls. It's a shame that none of these upper levels are remaining, or that a representative section hasn't been reproduced. It would have been an impressive building in its time. Like the museum, the final third of the walk became somewhat rushed because of the sameness of the experience - unmarked living quarters (possibly), open courtyards with no indication of their purpose, uniformly spaced flat stones that may have held pillars or could have been for something completely different! Don't get me wrong, the building work was impressive, the views quite magnificent, and the areas that did have some information, were interesting but, unlike other ruins I've visited around the world, it felt underrepresented, and visitors will have definitely missed some of what the Erebuni Fortress has to offer. For such an important historical location, this is a shame.
David C — Google review
Erebuni Fortress, also known as Arin Berd, is an Urartian fortified city, located in Yerevan, Armenia. It is 1,017 metres above sea level. It was one of several fortresses built along the northern Urartian border and was one of the most important political, economic and cultural centers of the vast kingdom. Erebuni was founded by Urartian King Argishti I (r. ca. 785–753 BC) in 782 BC. It was built on top of a hill called Arin Berd overlooking the Aras River Valley to serve as a military stronghold to protect the kingdom's northern borders. It has been described as being "designed as a great administrative and religious centre, a fully royal capital." According to Margarit Israelyan, Argishti began the construction of Erebuni after conquering the territories north of Yerevan and west of Lake Sevan, roughly corresponding to where the town of Abovyan is currently located. Accordingly, the prisoners he captured in these campaigns, both men and women, were used to help build his town.

TheYerevan Mallis truly the premier shopping destination in the region, offering a consistently delightful experience from entry to exit. Its success lies in its perfect mix of exceptional retail variety, balancing essential stores with unique boutiques, all housed within a beautifully designed space that is spotlessly clean and easy to navigate. Beyond the excellent shopping, the mall features outstanding dining options, comfortable seating areas for breaks, and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, making it a highly recommended spot for everything from a quick errand to a full day of browsing and socializing.

The passage was nice and quiet, the prices were reasonable, it has many brands such as LC, Mango, Breshka. The last floor is fast food and food of nations. The price and variety of food was very good.

Okay shopping mall. Has majority of shops like zara, mango bershka and the likes. Food court is pretty depressing. I'm not a big fan of shopping malls generally but this was okay
Sadaf N — Google review
As an Italian tourist I had the worst experience at this mall. Most of the people in the shops were rude, everytime I started to take pictures for my TikTok account to share about Armenia people from the store rudely came out and even ran towards me to tell me I couldn’t do it (I was taking pics of the mall, not people) to post of google reviews (there are many pics here). They didn’t help, in most of the shops I was followed around by the workers without even talking to me, just walking around and staring at me and staying at 1 cm close to me. Very rude, very unprofessional. I will never go again. If you wanna visit an amazing mall in Yerevan go to Dalma Mall.

The museum features a vibrant collection of modern Armenian paintings and sculptures by both local and international artists. Visitors can explore past exhibitions that have displayed the complete works of renowned Armenian artists such as Ashot Hovhannisyan, Martin Petrosyan, Minas Avetisyan, and others.
Wonderful museum! They had a regular exhibition for 1500 dram (3,5€), and an additional one by Akhsar Muriev for 500 dram (1,2€). Both were wonderful!

Thankful for Google map identifying this museum. Otherwise people would only hear about it via word of mouth. No significant signs identify the museum entrance. It is housed in vacated Soviet style apartment building. The art inside is worthwhile.

Tiny but mighty! You can see the whole gallery in under an hour, which is perfect if your attention span for modern art runs out after the third abstract painting. I went on a weekday around midday and had the place entirely to myself — probably because it was 40 degrees outside and everyone else was smart enough to hide in the shade. On the bright side, it felt like I had booked a private museum tour… without actually booking anything.

The experience was Amazing and fun, The Service was okay because they need to hire some more English people so English tourists can come more often. Also, me and my friend are sitting here waiting for the menu for 10 or 20 minutes which was annoying 😑😑. But overall 7/10, kinda Overrated as my opinion. They Should add more activities for teens like for example: Escape Room, Lazer Tag, and Scary ghost hunting. that’s just my opinion 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

This mall in is undoubtedly a fantastic place to shop and spend time. The vibe here is amazing—it’s lively, bustling with people, and has a great energy that makes it enjoyable to visit. Whether you’re looking for clothing, electronics, or just want to browse, all the essential brands are conveniently located under one roof. It’s a one-stop destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment. However, there is one downside to note: the parking policy. Unfortunately, the mall does not offer free parking. To have your parking ticket validated, you are required to make a minimum purchase of 3,000 AMD. While this might seem reasonable for larger shopping trips, it can be an inconvenience if you’re making smaller purchases. For instance, I had a situation where I bought something for less than 3,000 AMD and couldn’t get my parking validated, which was frustrating. Overall, while the parking policy could be more flexible, the mall itself is a great spot with plenty to offer. If you’re planning a visit, just keep the parking rule in mind to avoid surprises.

One of the worst places, on the usablility scale, not only among shopping malls but in the all country’s architecture. A casual visitor lacks “natural” clues for orientation; I mean those which aren’t signs with arrows. The buiilding might have potentially valuable skyline views; look, that’s Nor Norq! Alas, the exterior perimeter is blocked with cinema screens, blind walls and other stuff… and even in a toilet, which is high above grond, the windows are so high that are unusable for looking out. Parts of the mall offer enough space, but not vicinity of the food court which is a busy venue. Most of Wi-Fi access points lack internet. Should I add that 220 V AC sockets are scarse, too?
Innocenti M — Google review
A stunning modern shopping mall located just outside the main city centre, yet easily accessible by taxi or local bus. The mall is one of the biggest in Yerevan with a good selection of stores including some of the name brands. The Yerevan City inside the mall is one of the best I’ve seen with an amazing selection of chocolates and alcohol. The food court has ample seating with a nice selection of local and main stream stalls. The kids play area is modern and clean. Definitely worth the visit.

The main attraction is the skating rinks, with other minor attractions, the ticketing and queuing process is not so smooth as one might think. Overall not bad.

So for anyone wondering, Winter park IS YERAZ PARK. So around like November or so, Yeraz park basically “transforms” into Winter Park, and since there are so many more/new activities, it has a new name. I mean heck, they both even have different websites, but yeah, point being that from like late November, to around February, it’s literally is, and is called Winter park; one can still refer to it as Yeraz park and and everyone would understand, but just in case it gets a little confusing, just remember that both are the same thing, however the “real” one is Yeraz park.

My most favourite park in Yerevan! A large green park with a scenic view over the bridge. Highly recommended for a walking date. There’s also a really nice and cozy café here. 🙌 Here’s my trick: Going straight 50m from the BBQ yard and you’re gonna see a lovely spot to talk and view the Hrazdan riverside. Great spot - loved our lunch here. Almost everything we ordered was fantastic (we ordered salmon that was just so-so, but also this isn’t where to get salmon — that was our fault and this was still a five star lunch). Best service we have had thus far in Yerevan, and that’s competitive because we’ve had a great experience so many different places. The hummus here was especially good! Atmosphere was very pleasant. Location is fantastic. Would eat here again (actually, we tried one night without a reservation and it was too packed to get in). Make a reservation!

Lavash isn’t a hidden gem - it’s super popular for a reason. They’ve made the restaurant into a cathedral for the bread being made by hand and fired just in the other side of the glass. It makes its way into different dishes, housing herbs in jingalov hats or as the crispy stuffing to a roasted pumpkin. It’s all heavenly. You have to get that mile-high millefeuille at least once. It cannot be ignored.

Beautiful and aestetic place for your special events. The atmosphere is cozy, and nature views are nice. Food is okay, and prices are somewhat in the middle. Service is normal, but some things can be improved. Heating can be an issue during cold seasons, so you might freeze a bit until the area gets warmer. Things that i disliked: - the bubbles/eggs or idk how to call those rooms are tiny, especially for people over 50-60, who don't feel any comfortable. We asked to move to a bigger space, were told everything was full and reserved, but those next to us were not, and we left after midnight, so of course no one came to sit there. - We had reserved it in advance and asked to ensure the room would be warm. However, they didn't turn on the heater, so we had to sit with coats for the first hour... P.S. the cake was ordered from another location.

This place seemed to double as an event hall, with two separate sections. We sat in the area just in front of couples area ! I ordered a fruit cocktail; at 4800 AMD it was the most expensive drink I had in Armenia, but honestly the best one too! The place is very nice and beautiful — a wonderful escape from the buzzing, hot city, right in the heart of Yerevan. However, there are a few things that could be improved. For example, the seats were quite dusty. It’s understandable since they are under the trees, but before welcoming guests, especially when a table is reserved in advance, they should be cleaned. The food is great, though the service could use some improvement.

We came here for breakfast and loved it so we can back for dinner. Very nice place just off the main tourist road and it is worth every penny. We want on Saturday night too and they had Armenian band playing there and we had a great time dancing with the locals who also invited us to join there table too. Did I say the food was awesome too and the service was very professional. Highly reccomend this restraunt.

Visiting from the United States and this restaurant has exceeded our expectations. The restaurant itself is pretty hidden with the main entrance facing an alleyway, although they have a bakery that's facing the sidewalk where pedestrians can buy freshly baked bread, pastries, and other Armenian foods. Walking inside, you feel the cool blast of the air conditioning along with friendly faces greeting you as you walk in. We visited on a Saturday night and the place was pretty empty. This didn't make sense to me because the food was exceptional and service was great. They have live music everyday from 7pm-11pm, which was a great touch to an already great restaurant. Overall, Tospia is great restaurant for any tourist (or local) who is craving pasta, soups, salads, or traditional Armenian food. 5 stars

Megerian Carpet, located in Yerevan, is a combination of a carpet making factory and museum that attracts visitors from around the world. The Megerian Family, originally from Armenia but based in New York, has been deeply involved in the trade of fine hand-made rugs and tapestries for over a century. Established in 1917, Megerian Rugs played a crucial role in reviving traditional Armenian rug weaving and artistic creativity after the Soviet Union's dissolution.
So warm and welcoming, one of the best factory tours I have been on. Not only do you get to see the craftsmanship and hard work that goes into making the best rugs in the world, but you get to see an amazing museum. Juli took such good care of us and even shared coffee and stories.

The tour was very interesting and informative. They have an amazing collection of rugs, both on display and for sale.
Christina T — Google review
The famous carpet factory has been partially converted into an event venue and restaurant. We have purchased a few pcs. From here. The quality is absolutely magnificent. They follow strict traditional guidelines and methods to produce their carpets. The colours in their pieces are just different. The event venue is great too. Lots pf traditional offerings.
Raffi H — Google review
I arrived there unannounced with no booking because I was walking in the area. Less than 10 minutes later, a person came and started the tour. Aram explained me everything. From the pigments making the colors, to the weaving. You will see the making happening before your eyes. Then he told me about symbols and shapes in the old rugs and there meanings. The tour was in russian language, but if you book in advance they also have it in english. I spent a very interesting moment. Thank you Aram.

The Armenian Market, also known as Yerevan GUM Market and Gyumri City Market (Vernisazh), is a traditional local marketplace that provides an authentic experience of Armenian culture. Visitors can immerse themselves in local life while browsing through fresh produce, delicious cheese, meats, and handmade crafts. Located near Republic Square, this indoor market is open daily and offers a wide variety of items at affordable prices.
The perfect place if you’re looking for fruits (fresh and dried) and spices. Was honestly hoping to find more souvenirs/gifts and clothes but overall, its lively atmosphere is worth a visit!
Amanda H — Google review
A relatively large covered market in Yerevan, it has fresh and dried fruit, sweets, gata, butchers, and fishmongers, and for their own sake, which is definitely necessary, and it's good to see for tourists. I didn't really like it, but it's still nice to see.
Sanaz M — Google review
You have to visit to experience the kind hospitality of the people who work here. The vibrant colours in the choices of dried fruits, seasonings, fruit and vegetables is definately worth the visit. You will be offered many taste testers so go there on empty stomach.

Located in the heart of downtown Yerevan, Freedom Square, also known as Liberty Square, is a bustling town square that forms part of the Yerevan Opera Theater complex. Situated between Swan Lake and Opera Park, it is bordered by four streets: Mashtots Avenue, Sayat Nova, Tumanyan Street, and Teryan Street. This vibrant area is surrounded by attractions such as the Yerevan State Puppet Theatre and the Arno Babajanyan Statue.
Freedom square is the open place South of the Operahouse. It is popular for the little cars that kids can ride and also used for open-air events. It is a wide, open square - flat and all grey. Northern Avenue starts from the square and is the most direct connection when heading to Republic Square. Freedom Square is also one of Yerevan’s most famous public square and the view onto the Operahouse from here is the most well-known.
Philipp S — Google review
On the northern side of the city and one of the more known landmarks, this square houses the opera and ballet house of Armenia -- the cultural epicenter of the country. You'll find families and tourists here all day. Later in the afternoon and the evening there will be kids playing with battery operated cars driving around the square. It is aso surrounded by cafes and restaurants -- albeit, these are highly priced. Still worth a visit though!

Dalma Garden Mall, the first shopping center in Yerevan, offers a diverse retail experience with big stores, boutiques, and a casual food court. Situated on a hill in the Tsitsernakaberd district, it provides not only shopping opportunities but also access to cinemas, cafes, entertainment halls, and restaurants. While located away from the city center, it is surrounded by various tourist attractions and dining options.
The mall is huge! It’s clean and the toilets are impeccable. You can find many brands and stands that are interesting and appealing. There are plenty of options for clothes, shoes and accessories. On the last floor, there is a big Gold Market where you can buy remarkable and unique pieces. If you are looking for something specific and customized, there are some stands where you can order your accessories to be ready in 4-5 days 😍 Finally, we truly appreciated the food court - it has a wide seating area where you can choose your food and sit peacefully to enjoy it. You can also find a good variety of food options that will definitely satisfy your hunger 😉 (fast food/ Japanese/ traditional…).
Elia N — Google review
It has an easy access by Bus, which has a stop right in front of it. The mall itself is big and easy to navigate into and it has a nice food court in the 2nd floor, also WC is clean. The prices of brands might be a bit higher compared to Yerevan Mall or Rossia Mall, but we had a good shopping experience.

One of the big and best mall in the town, having most brands at one place makes easier to shop. Having cinema hall food court, apparel, shoe shops and so on. Spacious parking, clean and well maintained washing rooms. Just one things I didn’t see is kids playing area. A must visit place.

Complete disaster. Multiple staff members asked us to wait to be seated for over 15 minutes. Half the orders never came to the table, then a second time the drinks never arrived. Staff is a disaster. Rossia Mall is considered one of the top shopping destinations in Yerevan, offering a wide range of stores and a memorable experience for visitors. As one of the largest malls in Armenia, it boasts an array of international brands and diverse shopping options. While exploring the mall, you'll come across various sections housing stylish clothing and footwear stores. Additionally, Rossia Mall features a spacious parking area to ease traffic congestion, although finding a spot on weekends can be challenging due to its popularity.
The food court is fantastic. So many great choices and you get to pay for all your purchases from multiple vendors in one place. I recommend the chicken kebab.
Christina T — Google review
Reasonable mall for shopping for clothes and groceries although not the best grocery shop. The Foodcourt was alright nothing too inspiring as staff there were rather business-like or didn't want to be there.
Rhys T — Google review
Rossia Mall is a hidden gem in Yerevan, and its food court is definitely one of its standout features. With a diverse range of vendors offering everything from local cuisine to international flavors, you're spoiled for choice when it comes to dining options. One of the most convenient aspects of the food court is the ability to pay for all your purchases from multiple vendors in one go, making it a hassle-free experience. Beyond the food court, the mall itself may be compact, but it's packed with a variety of retail brands, including Carrefour, which adds to the shopping experience. You'll also find a souvenirs shop with a wide range of items to take back home as mementos. Whether you're looking for a quick bite, a shopping spree, or just a place to grab some souvenirs, Rossia Mall is a great destination to consider. Its convenient layout and diverse offerings make it a great place to spend an afternoon.
Monica B — Google review
Two parts exist to this mall, Al older part that does not have air conditioning and quite stuffed, kiosks and stores clamour for space and there’s just an overpowering, very basic low end sort of market concept, even so prices aren’t low and quite high. The adjacent part houses a proper mall with good stores, there exists a mini Vernissage store for those who don’t have time to visit the open air market, we picked a few clothes from TERRANOVA, the food court at the top had a good variety though parts of it were warm, all in all it’s a small to mid sized mall with local shops

The English Park, established in the 1860s, is among the oldest parks in Yerevan. It underwent significant renovations until World War I and was the site of Armenia's first modern football match in 1920. Originally named after the 26 Baku Commissars during Soviet rule, it reverted to its original name after Armenia gained independence. Situated on Italy Street near the Italian Embassy, this lush park offers a refreshing escape during summer.
A charming oasis in the heart of the city. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a break under the shade of mature trees. The park is beautifully maintained, offering a clean and tranquil environment with plenty of benches to sit and relax. It’s an ideal place to escape the city's hustle and reconnect with nature.

Cozy atmosphere with vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. I love their blue cheese bagels and fresh salads. It’s my top place for honey, ginger, and lemon tea—they make it very fresh. The coffee is okay, not the best in the city. Not always kid-friendly, but definitely animal-friendly. The staff isn’t always very friendly—mostly serious and a bit cold. Non professional, non ethical and rude, corrupted structure! They can't do their job on time and breaking rules every time. Yeraz Park, also known as Armenian Dream Park, offers a delightful experience for families with children. During warm weather, the park features attractions like 'Alice in Wonderland,' 'Children's World,' and 'Animal World.' In winter, it transforms into a Winter Park with festive activities such as visiting Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus' houses, ice skating, and enjoying the enchanting winter scenery.
Very calm park during the summer, you can enjoy there, and there are so many activities during the winter.
David S — Google review
It was very nice but I have visited it on the 1st of January so most of the kiosks, and restaurants are closed by you can get coffee from the machine
Abanoub S — Google review
We had a disappointing experience at the park yesterday when my 23-month-old son was asked to leave the sand play area simply because he is “not yet 2.” He was happily and safely playing under my supervision when a staff member told us he needed to leave, citing the age rule, despite the fact that he is just weeks away from turning 2. If this park truly values a welcoming environment for families, more thought should be given to whom they hire to interact with young children. Rules are important, but so is common sense.
Nare G — Google review
We took our kids to this park and saw a huge bounce house with lots of kids inside and our kids wanted to go inside so we asked what was the age restriction and this short worker shorter than my kids said until 14. All of our kids are under 14 the oldest being 13. They let all the kids inside except my 12 year old daughter because she was too tall apparently which was really not fair considering the fact that there were kids her height inside. They should really put a sign with the height and weight limit for the bounce house instead of eyeballing which kids can and can’t go inside. These workers were really discriminating and not considerate. Like just because you are short doesn’t mean you should hate on tall people. Next time I go there I better see a sign with a height and weight limit. 👎
Anush S — Google review
Yeraz Park is a fun place for families with kids. It has rides, a lake with pedal boats, playgrounds, and cafés. In winter, it becomes a "Winter Park" with an ice rink. It can get crowded and some attractions are a bit pricey.

Good ice rink, nice settings for festivity season, if there is snow kids from 0 to 99 can enjoy the winter there safe and sound. In oder seasons it's good for kids to cycle there. Unfortunately no inclusive games or grounds for disabled, like the majority of places in Armnenian 😑

Armenian Genocide Museum is located on Tsitsernakaberd Hill, offering a poignant representation of the tragic events that unfolded during the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire from 1915 to 1922. The museum's architecture, designed by Arthur Tarkhanyan and Sashur Kalashyan in collaboration with artist Hovhannes Khachatryan, seamlessly integrates into the hillside to complement the monument above.
The design of the museum was great but the contents made me a little sad. Photos were amazing, there is also a book and souvenir shop, outside of the museum you can walk in a green area and look at the city view and the memorial of genocide. Each on of these trees is a symbol for a guy who is killed. I'm not that kind of people who are interested in such a subjects but from the historical point of view was very interesting for my friend.
Safa D — Google review
A must visit. The monument is very well constructed and set up well. From the monument, you get a birds eye view of the city. Do take a moment to enter the museum run through the history of the genocide. It's heartbreaking but a story that needs to be told. The write ups are very detailed and laid out in chronological order with images and videos. There is also an audio guide available. We spent 2hrs here in total but could have easily spent more time. Recommend going by taxi as it is long uphill trek on foot.
Sandeep R — Google review
A deeply moving museum that everyone visiting Armenia should see. I highly recommend going with a guide — they explain everything with great care and depth. It’s heartbreaking to learn that nearly half of the country’s population was lost during the genocide. The building and museum are beautifully designed and thoughtfully suited to the emotional weight of the experience.
Shima R — Google review
This impressive museum captures the blood soaked history of Armenia where during 1915 to 1922, more than a million people were massacred by fanatic elements of Ottoman Empire, the photographs, documents, films and other authentic reports reflect the unprecedented human tragedy, the architecture and design is symbolic and have a meaning, the entry to the Museum is free and if any services of guide are hired, one has to pay, however all the exhibits and films have explanatory signages, the Memorial at the site is sums up with unforgettable experience. A must visit to understand the suppressed history of Armenia and understand the agony of the people.
Madan M — Google review
Lest we forget.. I think this should be compulsory visit for all visitors. Highly educatinal. It will take more than an hour to complete the entire exhibit. Do factor in traffic when you're getting there. Took more 40mim to get here on a weekday afternoon from Republic Square.
Paul T — Google review
A very interesting and must see museum when you are in Yerevan. The genocide inflicted by the Turks is absolutely horrendous! When travelling around Armenia you can see how proud people are of their country. The horrific period around WW1 has really united this small population. The museum explains everything well. It’s free to enter, but you are expected to donate some money at the end of your visit.
James G — Google review
Amazingly free. The quality of the museum is superb. High quality history and primary sources. Occasionally blurs
Greg F — Google review
Second time there for me, still totally worthy. The museum itself it's a well structured path that can easily guide a complete ignorant foreigner through the history of an unknown country without feeling lost. But you have to take your time to read more than 30 quite long explicative paragraphs on the wall. I would really encourage that, because what's described there is the story of a premeditated genocide, something you read and you know it's supported by concrete proofs, but still you cannot believe could be truth. What I personally really appreciate it's the last room in which it's told about other genocides of the past or ongoing around the world. It's important to raise awareness that such brutal crimes could happen whenever and wherever. I would recommend to start the visit with the museum and then go outside to the memorial monument, if you follow this order it would be much more impactful experience. It's totally free by the way, not excuses to skip this.

Discover the captivating history and culture of Yerevan with a free walking tour. Knowledgeable guides will lead you to key landmarks, sharing stories about the city's Soviet past, its role in the Armenian Genocide, and its journey to independence. The tour covers Republic Square and other significant sites, offering insights into history, architecture, and local treasures. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for open discussions on various perspectives related to historical events.
Great tour, lovely knowledgeable guide! I would have preferred a bit more walking in the first hour, and a bit less standing and prying the guests for information about them, but that is a personal preference.

Great tour around the centre of Yerevan from Tigran!! Took us to some local cultural sights that we wouldn’t have otherwise known about. Great sense of humour and very knowledgeable!

Excellent way to see the city! I did the free walking tour of Yerevan with Tigran. I really enjoyed the tour. It was the perfect balance between ancient and contemporary history as well as seeing many interesting things around Yerevan. Would highly recommend.

What the tour guide doesn’t know about Yerevan can be written on the head of a pin. Starting at Republic Square, this 3 hour tour winds its way around the city centre. It hits all the right subjects: History, Culture, Religion, Art, Architecture, Science and even offers a few tips for the uninitiated. As great as my home land of Britain is I doff my cap to the depth of Armenian culture.
David C — Google review
Tigran, what a friendly tour guide. He explained history, architecture and hidden treasures of beautiful Yerevan. I'm Turkish and we talked very friendly about our opinions and different sides about what happened in 1915. Because there are two 'genocide museums' about that year. One of is in Yerevan argued that Turkish people did genocide. Other one is in Iğdır city in Turkey and argued Armenian killed Turks. Despite of manipulations, secrets of history we became good friend and shared our best wishes. We tasted 'tandır bread', 'sea buckthorn tea', visited some handycraft workshops. He recommended tasteful Armenian dishes and showed local restaurants. His guidance facilitate to discover this beautiful city. I spent three wonderful hours and felt in love with spectacular Yerevan. I highly recommend to meet him and join his tour.

First of all, tour name in reservation we side is Free Walking Tour "of" Yerevan and it's confusing. The tour is good introduction to yerevan city. Tour guide was good man and his description about architecture and cuisine of Armenia was good, but there are some issues: it is mostly talking and few walking. Most of talks is about politics of Armenia that is boring for us. The volume of sound of tour guide is very low and I was not able to hear most of it. He always try to make everyone silent but not trying to raise his sound a bit. The day before tour you get a text from tour guide: How much usually tour participants give tips pay for the free tour? It is common to give tips anywhere from $10-$30 per person.

Review is for tour I took in September 2019: Great tour and extremely informative. Our guide walked through the very interesting history of Armenia and provided tons of context to the architecture that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. Have some interesting stories on the metro, the different celebrations in the country, and overall culture. Highly recommend
