The 27 best things to do with kids in Lviv

I was wondering around the city of Lviv Ukraine, when I found a place with a short lineup at 1pm. So I got in line lol- to lineup in the rain meant something was special lol. It was an “everything chocolate” type of establishment. It has 5 floor and an upper terrace as well. There is a quick serve on the first floor and a small shop on the second and washrooms third (or fourth); the 5th floor was cafe with some seating. The menu is accessed via QR code at the table (English and Ukrainian. I ordered a Lviv hot chocolate, as well as something called Royal Chocolate - a small glass with a warm thick mix of dark and white chocolate with some nuts on top (see video!)! It was a chocolate lovers paradise! I went during a heavy rain - and there was a small lineup —so is very popular. When I went the terrace was closed due to rain.

The place is hugeee, even too huge There are 4 floors (but 2 of them are empty at the moment) On the first floor you got the shop itself, where you can "Grab & Go" chocolate. The only problem is that you can pay for each section at a seperate area in the store (There is a seperate area for the parlines and seperate are for the prepared packs) МИросЯ was really nice, pleasent and patient! 🥰 It could be a good thing if they had an elevator, or at least located the restaurant at the second floor (at the moment the second and third floor are empty- you just have a toilet in the third floor, resulting in the restaurant located at the 4 floor) Besides that, everything was perfect. Overall really good chocolates, nice customer service and great value for money

Too much to choose from.. I recommend getting the big tins to travel back with especially the round one is amazing! Your biggest problem is trying to not a whole box at once.. Although avoid the tin with the house on it as they don't taste so good.

Such a great place especially for chocolate lovers! There's literally too much to choose from. I would definitely recommend anyone to try the hot milk chocolate. It's really thick and super sweet and when they bring it to you they also bring a cup of water as it is not possible to drink it ( or more like eat it) without it. I'm not sure if it's everyday or on a particular day but at some point during the day they hold a sale of chocolate outside the store. They sell white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate bars for half price. It's a great present!

Must see spot in Lviv. Can be crowded at times, although upper gallery and summer terrace are rather cosy. Not too expensive (Cup of chocolate + cake around 3€). Waiters speak Ukrainian, Polish and English.

Tasty coffee, you can have a table upstairs, there is bright and beautiful. Nice shop with great selection, you can find chocolate without sugar

(Entry fee 60 UAH in Oct 2024) Worth a visit into this atmospheric old building, not just to see the old pharmacy stuff but the balcony, interior courtyard and small cellar. Knocked a star off as there is little interpretation, and almost none in English. Be aware there are lots of stairs.

We visited the Pharmacymuseum without expecting much and were really surprised how interesting and big it was. We were expecting just like 3 rooms filled with old medicine, but this museum shows you way more than just this. You are being guided through the whole building including cellar and courtyard, filled with old relicts of medicine. Definitely the most exciting museum we visited in Lviv.

Very attractive place must visit but should always have a guid otherwise won’t be able to understand any thing. Must visit and explore the historic pharmacy museum know an important & interesting history of medicine which we use to take nowadays. Good variation from walking around the old town of Lviv. Tip for you - you buy the tickets in the ‘real’ pharmacy, it was a bit misleading for us, as there are modern medicine on the counter and we though this may just be a pharmacy :) the museum is bigger than expected, there are a few floors. Overall it is worth to visit the museum.

Amazing collection and a very nice building. Details the long history of pharmacology in Lviv and in the region throughout almost the entire last millennia. The exhibition is authentic and even dabs into the practice of alchemy.

I personallt found it interesting to learn about the history of pharmacy in Lviv. Also the exhibition is quite intriguing as well. The place also actively serves as a pharmacy which makes it cooler :) Entrance is 20 Grivnas which is less than a dollar.

It’s a must see spot when visiting Lviv Ukraine. My walking tour guide pointed it out and I said let’s get a coffee! From the outside it does not look like much much, but it has a large area for dinning, a shop and extensive underground very storage and cavern-like areas that are worth the visit in itself. I had the flaming coffee and it entails a using a flaming torch thst makes the sprinkling of sugar on top of the coffee froth. The short show involves the table on fire and a final melting browning of the sugar to create to shell you tap through to get to the coffee! Lots of fun for a cup of coffee!!!

Best napoleon you’ll ever try! Great coffee great desserts and amazing service. Also a lot of souvenirs. It’s a coffee heaven! They grind coffee in front of you as well! Also free water refills

Lviv Coffee Mine is a must-visit place for coffee lovers! The atmosphere is unique, with an underground "mine" where they "extract" coffee. It was fun to explore, and the whole place had a cozy and historic feel. We tried their coffee, and it was really good—rich, strong, and full of flavor. A great spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in Lviv!

There are two places here. Up the ramp on the right is the museum and down on the left is the restaurant. I am only reviewing the museum. If you like historical weapons, this is the place for you. Definitely appreciated the English translations. Its a small museum (only two floors) so it won't take long to go through but there is plenty to see!

The staff of this museum are very arrogant. They lack basic manners toward customers. Their knowledge of history is at the level of elementary school. I do not recommend it at all.

It's fascinating to look at old weapons and armour, such as crossbows, swords, bows, and maces. However, the museum does not have much to offer. There is also a Lviv souvenir shop inside the museum, but it is not as cheap as it is in the city center.

It's a nice museum. It is considered rich in works. I went on a weekday and it was quiet. There is a lady selling souvenirs at the entrance, the prices are reasonable. I hope it reopens as soon as possible.

If you are into middle ages armor and weapons, it is a very interesting place for 150 grivna. 50 per person. 2000 grivna is about $86 usa today.

Fine little museum, managed by nice people. Don't expect too much. A bit of interesting Lviv history.

I didn't really like the food. The praised salad with burata did not have much taste. The waiter heard my I was thinking about ordering a dish, as an order and brought it. I felt sorry for him. I ate that camembert with figs. Also, baked Camembert is tastier in Baguette. The request for a glass of water had to be repeated. The terrace at the top is made a bit silly. But these are all trifles compared to the fact that I woke up in the middle of the night from nausea. Ну дякую!

Really nice restaurant! Have a variety of salads, meats, and pastas plus much more. Waiters very professional and friendly! Located in Lyviv and joins the Swiss Hotel.

I would really like to thank the staff for their kindness. The gentleman out side the door was cary helpful. He helped us getting our baby stroller all the way in. The rest of the staff were very helpful too. For the food I ordered the Arrabbiata pasta which sadly wasn’t like what I expected. Just spicy tomato bits and was not saucy at all. The veal salad was very delicious! I liked it. The mushroom soup was warm and flavorful! You can never go wrong ordering it! Finally and sadly I don’t have a pic for was the Quattro formaggio pizza which was tasty! I really recommend this nice restaurant if you ever visit Lviv!

Nice restaurant with Argentinian and Italian cuisine. Quite new in Lviv and very quickly became quite popular. You can eat inside or order take away. I believe they have even some discounts for take away. Due to the pandemic and rules they do check your negative PCR test or vaccination.

Nice place. Lots of room, attractive decor, decent view of Sykhiv. Pleasant service. Food wasn't bad or great. Worth a visit. I had Argentinian Lasagna, which had taco shells instead of pasta.

Cozy place with tasty food and perfect kid's zone!

Interior is great, staff is okay (it was a bit slow to get the bill). Food was nice but not exceptional. Despite it may feel a bit pricey for the location, it was almost full. Also it was a bit too cold - the climate system was set to a too low temperature, and other guests were complaining too (we were told it would be not possible to improve). The QR menu is a disappointment as it is pretty awkward to use.

Astonishing place with a lot of space, and pretty nice interior. We really loved the toscana salad and the beef fugazzeta. Also, the drinks menu is quite vast, and the juice here is really fresh and good. There are two playrooms for children, and the whole place is totally family friendly. A perfect place to eat with your family.

Very nice place for family with kids, there is a children play ground behind the glass wall were you can relax and continue to control your kids, very tasty dishes, especially meat, a lot of space inside and outside. Definitely worth to visit.

Big size Caesar we ordered. It was okay. Very thin dough was good but ingredients were not added that much so it is not tasty as we expected. Huge issue to find a place to sit outside. Waiters do not care as always be restaurants in Ukraine Do not expect to find lots of beer types, they just have a couple option

The pizza was delicious but the service can be better. It took 15 minutes for them to come and give us the menu and the pizza came in after 30 mins so if you are ready to wait 30-45 mins for your order you can go here. The quality is absolutely the best in Lviv.. the pizza was baked perfect.

We ate egoista pizza which means you choose your own ingredients. Pizza was delicious, dough was thin. The place is always crowded so you can say service is relatively fast. They can't speak proper English and service staff is not nice towards tourists like most of the places in Ukraine.

A lovely restaurant - sister of the fast-food chain "Celentano". The dishes are delicious and beautiful, and definitely underpriced. A lunch of soup and veggie pate plate, pasta and parmesan chicken, with juice was all under 10 euros. The interior is lovely and the service is fast and friendly. The downstairs area is a little too dark and would benefit from some fresh air, but overall a must visit lovely place!

Light, airy space with great staff. The food was wonderful. Salad Caprese was hunks of high quality tomato & mozzarella, dripping with green olive oil, basil & balsamic. The other highlight was beautifully presented cheese soup. A great respite from a chilly spring day.

What's not to love about a place focused on waffles? There are sweet and savory choices, and the menu also has some soups and salads. Drinks too of course. I have a sweet tooth, of course I go for the cavity on a plate 😉

If you visit Lviv, you need to visit Sowa! The specialty is lavender ice cream that is really delicious. Weird but delicious! Cool place, cool staff that always smile, and full of teenagers ( they are silent, don't worry). If you want a suggestion, try the Waffle with banana, nutella and couple portions of ice cream above ;)

Loved the meals definitely bring a friends the portions are shareable especially if you want sweet & savory:) we each got savory sepeartly & we were so full but we wanted to try sweet🙈 so we asked to separate the meals & it worked out wonderfully. they had blankets for outside sitting which was super thoughtful & overall loved the vibe, English is no problem there

Great place for breakfast, waffles with sweet and savory add-ons, good coffee and friendly young staff. They also have beer and wine card for later occasions, but some people appreciate it for breakfast also!

I went for breakfast and it was really big and yummy. Omelette and eggs was made good, waffles with some sauce and fresh veggie was fresh. I like the decoration inside the cafe. Cappuccino and fresh was perfect also.

As I went on a tram to Lviv vokzal, to catch my train, go back home and unfortunately having to leave Ukraine once again, I found myself looking on the big board of departures, not seeing my train up there, while I thought, according to the ticket, that I only have 15 minutes before it leaves. A helpful lady at the info kiosk told me, that the time on my ticket is the time when the train leaves Ternopil and that I have about 85 minutes left, before the train arrives here. That's too long to get back to my friends in the centre and have a couple of beers AND get back. That's how I went to 7 pigs, by whom I went on the tram going to vokzal, thinking "Damn, I wanted to visit but I forgot. AGAIN." So, time is crucial. Ten minutes on tram from Vokzal. Interesting interior. Swift service. I definitely don't have the time for a big meal, but with beer and horilka, I find in the appetizers an interesting choice. Pure, simple pashtet. Back in Czechia, we all know it. But this form is absolutely six levels up! Nice, warm slices of home-made baguette, a cup of pashtet, which is absolutely lovely, and raspberry jam with that. And let me tell you, these tastes connect extraordinarily well! Heavy rain started outside. I, surrounded by local folkorish themes on pillars, walls and such, was enjoying my moment of happiness. Finished the beer (or two) the lovely snack and the horilka, and then, I went back to vokzal. Next time, I'll go for a full meal!

Very friendly service and delicious food. They have a great wine selection with reasonable prices. Everything is cooked to order so some things like steak or veal might take longer so don't be in a hurry. Plan to hang out for awhile. If you want a fun show order a Sambuca!

The low rating in google maps for this place is utter nonsense! I’ve recently moved here for work and have eaten in many so called 4.9 ratings on google maps which haven’t come close to the experiences I’ve had here (3rd time) the chef is a master, the music and decor is to my tasting… my favourite restaurant in Lviv 100 %

This is a perfect place for tourists. Really lovely traditional decor, amazing Ukrainian cuisine and live music. Private little seating areas which are great for groups of 5-6. Amazing staff - English / photo menus.

I lived around the corner from this restaurant for 3 years. It was always a fantastic go to for my young daughter and I... When my cat escaped from our flat, this was the place he headed for! Great, filling food. It would be perfect if it stayed open a little later.

The park is nice and spacious, perfect for walks and sports activities. There are food courts offering hotdogs, coffee, and ice cream. Additionally, there are a couple of playgrounds for children, with one being well-maintained and the other in need of repair. While the park has great potential, it could be better maintained, especially the old playground and fountains that require reconstruction. It's worth visiting if you're staying in Lviv for an extended period, but if you're a short-term tourist, you can skip it.

Nice park near to the center of Lviv. There are a lot of attractions, like cafe, restaurants, playground for children and so on. Park is big and has a lot of paths for walking, running or biking.

I definitely recommend this place for in the summer. There is enough shadow because of all the big threes. The park is large and you have different paths to walk on. Some spots really have a nice view. It even has a small pond for the fish.

A lovely park with a lake and swans 🦢 One of the oldest parks in Lviv 🌳🌲 It was built in 1894 and designed by Arnold Röhring - a famous landscape architect. Before there was an old cemetery on these lands that was closed in 1823. You can find many exotic trees here like red oak, tulip tree, red beech, ginkgo and more. Near the swan lake there is also a statue of Jan Kiliński - one of the commanders of the Warsaw Uprising of 1794, an uprising against the Russian garrison in Warsaw (source: Wikipedia). Stryiskyi Park is a nice place to have a peaceful rest close to nature without leaving the city🌄 You can have a cup of coffee here or a meal too - there are 2 restaurants on the territory and the ice cream bar 🍧

Enjoyed the park a lot! I was surprised how steep some paths were - one is usually used to a more flat walk;) The park is full of great old trees; there are quite a few benches too. In general, it’s a good place to escape from everyday city hustle and bustle and observe swans, ducks, and squirrels

A nice and cozy restaurant with a local Galician style of cuisine. It is off centred but is worth a detour. The cuisine, very delicious, can yet be improved. The service was quick and friendly and our waiter (Serhiy) was very attentive and of good advice for meals. The prices of wine are very reasonable, and there is a nice choice of Ukrainian and other European wines. A menu for kids has many good and delicious options.

Ukrainian cuisine from the Galitza district(?)...The hot borscht with beet roots, beef, and onions were fantastic! Polenta very tasty, nicely garnished. Pickled mushrooms, salmon and white fish interesting, Facility traditionally decorated, has a gift house with preserves and other condiments and sweets. Reasonably priced, easy parking, bring the kids. Pork chops were meh. Have to edit this review from 4 to 5 stars. After my first trip to Lviv and Ukraine, Hungry Mykola had the BEST borscht of all the places sampled for this national dish. Well Done HM!

Highly recommended restaurant!!! Based on Ukrainian and east European kitchen. Good service. Very friendly for kids. Very beautiful childrens dishes. There is a Nanny service for your kids and beautiful playground. Near the restaurant there is a small souvenir shop. At the same area you can find a brewery with good beer and Ukrainian traditional drink kvas.

Forum is very big, let’s just say that. They have a million things for you to choose from: food to a cinema, clothing to toys! I went there with two other friends because one of them had their birthday, so we went to the cinema to watch Paddington. We bought a large cheesy popcorn (which was amazing) and sat down. We were halfway through the movie when it was “mined”, which it was almost every single day, so we never got to finish the popcorn, and the movie.

Nice and modern shopping mall. A huge plus is that it is located in the city and not far from the historical center. Well-groomed area nearby, benches, fountains and green grounds. Inside hundreds of shops and boutiques, thousands of guests are scurrying around. You can live here)

Good place to shop and kind of hangout but quite busy on Weekends. Have a lot of option for food and dining out then one of best place to take children for gaming, it have all top brands including a grocery shopping option (silpo) easily reachable best time to visit is on evening.

New place built a year ago. 10 min walk from the city center. You can find here all mass clothes brands available in Ukraine like Zara, Reserved, Waikiki, Springfield, Timberland etc. New cinema with big screens is also much better than Kinopalats in the old town. Movies with Ukrainian dub only.

(From Texas) I really enjoyed the breakfast. It was really fresh and tasted great. The waitress was really nice and spoke English which helped me A LOT. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and very very clean. Service was very quick and professional. Highly recommend!

We accidentally found this place walking by it last night. Decided to get a couple slices of pizza for a snack, later. The pizza was so good we came back today for lunch. Recommended semi sweet red wine with pasta. Everything was so delicious. This was our first true meal in Lviv. We definitely will come back before we leave.

We get quick as hell service but it was due to closing time, I suppose. Red Borsch superb, but not warm. The same with spinach cream aka soup from Shrek 😎 Pizza on very flappy cake, not very tasty Very small Cezar salad with shrimps (many). Typical tourist place. Good restaurant with food food, service and atmosphere. However, don’t have an expectation that this is some kind of super-fusion-molecular-cuisine kind of place, because it is not. But definitely recommend going there.

Great looking food but not much flavor. Wine had weird taste and leftover stuff in the glass( so definitely not the best quality) Otherwise good service and nice atmosphere.

Lovely place to past some time on a lazy afternoon. A little late in the summer for blooming flowers but I can only imagine it will be a completely different kind of beautiful with the changing leaves.

Exquisite food. But it all stops there... Surely a top 5 star dining restaurant, if the following issues will be tackled. The playroom is a jungle room of savages! How can you have a 3 year old in a 4 by 3 room with a 12/14+ children. And it is not just 2/ 3 kids, around 14 kids in such a small space!!! Pretty clean though & staff seemed nice (I can't speak Russian or Ukrainian though). Ticket gives you 4 hours at the pool.
