The Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery, located in Exeter, is a must-visit attraction for anyone exploring the area. Housed in a stunning Victorian Gothic revival building, this world-class museum boasts over one million artifacts spanning art, anthropology, and natural history. Visitors can admire paintings by local and international artists, explore Devon's unique geology and fossil displays from the Jurassic Coast.
I'm really impressed. There are lots of different interesting artefacts from across time as well as the world. It's like the British Museum/Natural History Museum (but no dino skeletons) without the overcrowding of tourists or endless displays. This meant the children weren't overwhelmed and actually took in what they saw. Loved the quiet reading area. It was a nice break from walking around. My only wish was that the cafe could be open for longer during half term.
J B — Google review
I don't usually give 5 stars out, but RAMM is well deserving of 5. Firstly, the admission is entirely free, which is always lovely. The exhibitions on show are fascinating to look at and learn about, and the staff are remarkably friendly. To top it all off, the café was unbelievably affordable, which is a marvellous addition. Therefore, if you are local and looking for a day out or simply in the area looking for something to do, it is a must do!
Lunch L — Google review
Awesome museum with free entry. This museum covers not just the natural history of the local area but also an extremely wide range of different exhibitions! A must see if you're staying in Exeter or the surrounding area. I visited twice in one week!
Ultimate G — Google review
The renovation work done on the museum was well worth the time and effort and there are lots of well thought through additions. The museum is vast so you could spend hours there but, as entry is free, I quite often just pop in to spend a few minutes in a lunch break or when waiting for the train (it is just next to Exeter Central Station). It is worth noting that there are lockers at the museum where you can leave your belongings while you walk round which is great for those who are passing by and perhaps have more bags etc that they would like! There is a wonderful model of Exeter within the museum which is so interesting to see and the taxidermy (although it might not be everyone's cup of tea) is also a big draw. The museum often has really wonderful exhibitions such as the BBC wildlife photographer of the year so there is always something new to see. I haven't eaten in the cafe there but have heard good things. Everything in the museum seems to have some sort of link to Exeter (however tenuous) & just gives a feeling of being there for the people. It was friendly & relaxed & the information is suitable for the younger/casual interest & also anyone who wants to read more about something. It's laid out in such a way that most of the rooms & exhibits 'flow' & connect together. You could probably spend half a day there (we ran out of time). However, the reviewers who've said the café is reasonably priced, probably come from a more expensive area than Exeter (personally we thought £6+ for a ciabatta & a bit of salad is fairly steep)
Madhu C — Google review
The staff are definitely the best thing about this place. The volunteers show a genuine interest in the exhibits and are very helpful. There's really lots to see in this museum, even if it is a bit like most other museums. Plenty of vases on display. All in all it's quite well run and well worth dropping in.
Niall G — Google review
came here to start of my birthday as i do love going to the museum to see the animals and all and it didn’t disappoint it was much bigger than i thought it was so cool! i had so much fun i would definitely recommend you to visit!
Katie D — Google review
As other people wrote, this museum has a large collection of artifacts and specimens, and considering the size (someone wrote it is vast, but if you have visited the great museums of the world, you can’t quite call it vast), there is a lot of interest. I enjoyed the prehistoric portion of the museum because it complements my visit to Kents Cavern and the Jurassic Coast. I appreciated the sensitivity about the acquisition of many of the artifacts and the peoples they belonged to, and therefore was disappointed that no sensitivity was shown about the problems of hunting (and the resulting “taxidermized” animals). I mean, is it still so admirable that King George V shot a Bengal tiger (and donated it to the museum)? Wasn’t that whole hunting culture one of the reasons some of these beautiful species are endangered? (Hunting is still a threat to Bengal tigers, though conservation efforts have improved their situation in the past decade). The museum should have some comment about conservation efforts today.
Debby K — Google review
This was a lovely museum to visit, telling the industrial stories of Exeter many years back! The manufacturing market of the likes of carpets and clothing is delved into, as is the expansion of the railways and how they entered the city. Love the exhibits with miniature trains and the old artefacts like books kept, geologic section is interesting with the relics and stuffed animals give an insight into life way before our time!

Cathedral

Exeter Cathedral, also known as St. Peter's Cathedral, is a medieval Gothic building located in the heart of Exeter, Devon County, South Western England. The cathedral dates back to the 12th century and showcases a blend of Norman and Gothic architecture. It is dedicated to the Apostle Peter and features remarkable elements such as vaulted ceilings, an astronomical clock, a minstrels' gallery, and a collection of medieval books and relics.
Love architecture and history and this is perfect place for me to visit. Amazing Cathedral that has a history of over 1000 years going back to the Saxon times. This cathedral is one of those historical places which are well preserved medieval stone vaulted ceiling. Firstly the church was constructed over 1000 years ago by saxons, and after many changes over the times as well as air raided by Nazis in WW2. Didn’t get a chance to look around inside because of construction work going on. There’s much to look around because every corner is full of sculptures and monuments. Specially i like the front of cathedral and around with 1000 sculptures on display giving you an amazing look of this building. There’s an astronomical clock very like the one in Prague. These days entry is just £5 which is nothing what you get. Its one of the must see landmark in Devon. If you’re in Exeter then try not to miss.
Win T — Google review
Unlike most cathedrals, this was wonderfully peaceful and free of crowds, when I went. Lovely staff. The 'Treasures tour' is well worth the £5 - includes the 'Exeter book', which is oldest manuscript of Old English literature/poems/riddles.
K N — Google review
Who love the architecture must visited and the interior is filled with fascinating details. My visit to Exeter Cathedral was a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped through the grand west front, I was completely captivated by the sheer scale and beauty of this historical building. The most striking feature is undoubtedly the longest uninterrupted vaulted ceiling in England, which feels like a vast stone wave frozen in time above you.
Bubble J — Google review
A wonderful and interestingly colourful example of an English Cathedral. The painted bosses in the ceiling and carvings on the end of the Choirs seating are excellent examples. Look out for the patron saint of Dentists and her story and the historical Cathedral Cat.
Keith P — Google review
One of the ancient cathedrals, however the architecture is unbelievable and must be seen in a tourist spot in Exeter. Anytime welcome, and there is a £ 5 ticket price for adult visitors. When you compare the architecture ticket, the price is nothing. It was built between ADs 50 and 75.
Anil T — Google review
Absolutely love it here, a glorious space. So disappointed that the statues have gone from the café, they framed the amazing ceiling so beautifully. Admit I haven't been back since x
The M — Google review
Stunning cathedral and the surrounding area is quite magical. The inside is amazing when you have the chance to go in - well worth the visit and very impressive.
Yuval K — Google review
Home to the longest vaulted ceiling in the world, Exeter cathedral was completed by ~1400 AD. In 1942, a german bomb destroyed part of the church, causing substantial damage. The church has since been restored. The interior is beautifully constructed with awe-inspiring architecture and amazing attention to detail. Unfortunately, erosion is degrading the exquisitely detailed stone carvings on the exterior. Admission is £5 per person, and children of a family who are under 18 get in free.

Exploring the Underground Passages in Exeter is like stepping back in time to the medieval era. These intriguing subterranean tunnels, which date back to the 14th century, were originally constructed to transport clean drinking water from nearby springs into the city. As you wander through these historic passageways, you'll uncover tales of war, siege, and even plague that shaped this vibrant city. The passages are a unique feature of Exeter's infrastructure and represent Britain's only remaining medieval water system.
Absolutely brilliant!! We had Helen and she made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience, very knowledgable and entertaining ! Would recommend this experience for anyone coming to Exeter! We had initially booked for the Friday, unfortunately we were unable to make it and the staff were very helpful in transferring our tickets over to the Sunday!

Awesome and unique maintenance ducts that once held water pipes for Exeter. I really struggled due to how small and crapped it is in places; you really feel claustrophobic in here!

Very interesting and educational visit and excellent value for money. Built to get water into the town without having to keep digging up the roads and town walls. Current planners civil engineers etc should take note!!!! If you're claustrophobic you may struggle. Tickets/entrance are timed, we just missed one time slot so poped over the road for a drink

I went to the Exeter Underground Passages, on Sunday 14th September 2025. There is a good, little, free museum, with realistic replica passages, if you want to get a glimpse of what the passages are like. After seeing the museum, I decided to take the tour. Adult ticket - £9. Prior to the tour there was a short informational video, which was good and useful. The tour lasted 30+ minutes. Helen did a good job guiding us, with some useful information. I thought it was worth the money. A good bit of niche history, ie getting clean water to the city, which made me reflect on conditions for most people back then. As well as the history, it was pretty exciting being down there. The passages are well lit, but they are quite small, as so a bit of an adrenaline rush, pushing the comfort boundaries 😉 I would recommend this tour.

The tour guide was awesome and funny, and very informative. An interesting but short experience. Now I know more about the ground below which I walk.

St Nicholas Priory is an Elizabethan merchant's house that provides a glimpse into Tudor life. The building was originally a Benedictine priory which was destroyed in the Dissolution but has since been restored and decorated to replicate its original appearance.
Would you like to have a time travelling? If so, this is the best place. As soon as you step inside, you'll find yourself in the medieval time in England. The staff with their traditional customs are so real, lovely. Even the smell will take you hundreds of times years ago.
Dilek A — Google review
We were shown this amazing little place as part of a guided walking tour, but popped back later in the day to have a proper look and I'm so glad we did! Amazingly well preserved building which was occupied for nearly 800 years. Interesting displays and a nice little scavenger hunt for the kids. The toilets on site were a practical bonus!
Joanna H — Google review
What a great place to visit. It's been there almost a 1000 years and you can see some wonderful Tudor decor from when it was tarted up by new owners once HenryVIII closed it as a Priory. The decorative plaster work with Tudor roses looks amazing as does the original traces of wall paintings. Plus it's free to visit and bookable for events such as weddings.
Black C — Google review
We attended a ghost evening on Halloween and had the best time. I won't spoil others' fun, but we got to visit four or five of the rooms inside the priory which are stunning. The stairs are a little tricky so I would advise caution, but it's a true hidden gem and I'd love to go back. Mobile phones had to he physically turned off so I only managed to get one picture from inside I'm afraid. But I'll share one or two that I took outside.
Lynn W — Google review
It was the first time I'd been to this wonderful historical place. The children's concert was a lovely idea and I really appreciated the opportunity for them to hear classical music. Unfortunately I had to take them out because the two-year old wasn't coping but the staff were super helpful. I love learning about the history of Exeter and I will be returning to look around properly.
Laura M — Google review
Now this place was a revelation to me . I've visited Exeter many times before and never found this gem of a place . Hidden away on a trek into the back streets of Exeter. But Well worth the seeking out . This was a monestry a beautifully Tudor home used by the Roman's etc etc the history is amazing . This place is now lovingly cherished and the ladies who run it free of charge are more than happy to share their passion for this place . Seek it out it's well worth the effort .

Great place for a visit. It is small and out of the way but full of interest.

Nestled within the University of Exeter's Streatham Campus, the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum is a treasure trove for cinema enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. This captivating museum delves into the rich history of moving images, showcasing an impressive collection that exceeds 85,000 items. Among its many curiosities are magic lanterns, vintage film posters, and original artifacts from beloved films like Disney classics and Star Wars.
Museum dedicated to cinema and different types of film making. Split over 2 levels and inside the university of Exeter, this museum is full of film memorabilia from different decades and genres. Covering films from Shaun of the dead, Alice in wonderland, black panther to comrades, they have a great selection of cinema items, including ushers touches, note books and old ticket rolls. Downstairs there is more of an interactive room, with view finders, shadow makers, 3D scenes & spinning illusion moving picture makers. The curator was also on hand to talk us through the displays, he was very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. The museum is free and quite small, but if you are a big film fan, you could easily spend a couple of hours here, looking at the displays and getting lost in the information.
Em B — Google review
Fine and withs visit as is full of great curiosities, memorabilia and hands on items - but sadly arranged in a confused and disorderly way that makes little sense as you stumble from exhibit to exhibit. After 15mins you really need to get out and get some air
Paul R — Google review
Interesting collection but quite a bit smaller than expected- just 2 rooms. Some signs i could not read as high up in cabinet. No logical route round.
Sue P — Google review
Definitely worth a visit if you're seriously interested in film history. It's fairly small, based around a bequest by Bill Douglas to the University of Exeter. To display as much as possible, the exhibit cases are a bit crowded but the items are of great interest. The second gallery has a good exhibition of pre-film moving image makers. Nice people in charge, and not too far to walk from the city centre (we did, ages 73 and 76).
John D — Google review
Tiny but cute collection with surprisingly good items from 'non-Western' cultures. Really friendly curator. Not a fan of audiotours and my favourite thing about museums is reading the descriptions next to items, so just getting a few words on each piece here is a bit unsatisfying. 😂 But it's free and right on campus!!
Monica W — Google review
Marvellous exhibition of cinema nostalgia. Very modern displays with exhibits ranging from magic lanterns to spin off toys from modern films. Well worth a visit.

Tenpin Exeter is a lively leisure complex featuring neon-lit tenpin bowling lanes, pool tables, a sports bar, and cafe. It's touted as an ideal spot for a first date due to its fun and competitive atmosphere. The venue offers vodka slushies in the evening, making it perfect for those seeking some liquid courage. Visitors can showcase their bowling skills on numerous lanes and enjoy parties or corporate celebrations.
Gabrela booked us in and took our drinks order. She was very lovely, sweet and happy! The bowling alley was very clean, good vibes. The lanes were in good condition and the screens let you add player selfies which was fun! Would recommend! Would also look in advance to see what deals are on!

A fun experience with friends! A bit far from the town center but the walk was decent. A really easy process and we did walk in on a weekday evening so that was very accessible. Would definitely go again and getting to add our photos to the board was a nice touch! Also got an arcade area with games but you need coins! Would go back for sure
Remika — Google review
Nice bowling alley, really appreciate the £9 deal for 3 rounds on Sunday evenings. Always a good time with the lads. The lane conditions aren’t the best, with uneven oil distribution and a general lack of maintenance, but for the price, it’s hard to complain. Great for a laid-back night out.
Zeppelin — Google review
The manager and his team were really helpful, friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning wasn't on and it was sweltering, the gulley barriers were intermittent, the system occasionally moved on to the next player before the 2nd bowl was completed. There was very little space and not enough room for bags, food and drink etc. Very cramped for a group.
Denise S — Google review
This is the second party we have had. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Very cheerful and organised. It made my twins birthday extra special. Thank you!

Good bowling alley with good social distancing measures in place. You can order food and drinks to the alley from your table. Large car park here. I wouldn't visit this one again, just because the atmosphere wasn't as fun as it is at other bowling chains. It was good to pass a bit of time, but with 2 people and 2 games, it was done in 30 minutes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. High standard of cleaning.

Exeter Quayside is a charming area located near the River Exe and Exeter Ship Canal, boasting cobbled streets and captivating architecture. It has been revitalized into a vibrant hub with an array of cafes, restaurants, and pubs. Visitors can leisurely explore antique shops or enjoy a sunny afternoon by the water. For those seeking adventure, bike rentals are available for cycling along the Exeter Ship Canal to Topsham, while canoe rentals offer an opportunity to navigate the river.
A lovely well thought out Quay, have a variety of shops, bars, restaurants, and sporting activities for all ages, bike hire and lovely walks. A very beautiful part of Exeter, lovely after a bit of time in town to escape and feel free. Perfect on a nice sunny day.
Rob D — Google review
We go to Exeter when on holiday and when the weather is not looking good. The Quayside is a short walk from Exeter shopping centre and is a really nice place to have a 1/2 hour or so stroll. A lot more could be done to make it more of an attraction, hence 4 stars. I imagine it would be great on a night with all the bars around.

Heather I — Google review
Gorgeous setting with restaurants round a square near the river. Boat launch near by and also antique shops and more restaurant options on the other side of the river. The walk there over the bridge and then by the riverside is also beautiful.
Eduardo M — Google review
There are places in Britain that pretend to be charming and places that actually are. Exeter Quayside, mercifully, is the latter. It’s a beautiful, meandering stretch of water and cobblestone, where the past hasn’t been redeveloped into a Costa and a Nando’s. Instead, it’s been allowed to settle gently into a place that smells faintly of riverweed, hops, and the distant memory of trade. Here, you’ll find what’s left of Exeter’s mercantile swagger—warehouses turned into art galleries, cafes with oat milk on tap, and a pleasingly cosy pub or two. Topsham Brewery’s taproom is especially worth your time. It has that curated roughness that says, “We brew things,” and, unusually, they actually do. The beer is rather good—bright, hoppy, unapologetic—and the garden seating offers a fine view of joggers, dogs, and toddlers in miniature wetsuits being shouted at by parents with paddleboards. Now, about the cyclists. Exeter Quayside east side has been rather given over to them by the council, who in their infinite and unfathomable wisdom, decided the best place for a high-speed time trial was a narrow path used by pensioners, toddlers, tourists, and anyone still mourning the death of walking. Still, there’s something properly delightful about the whole place. It doesn’t try too hard. The food’s better than you expect, the beer’s cold, and there are boats to nowhere, which is exactly where you want to go on a weekend in Devon. Give it a visit. Just bring shin pads. Or at least good reflexes.
Chris — Google review
An underrated jewel in Exeter. The Quay combines history, nature and leisure. Plenty of cafés, restaurants and artisan shops.

The Medieval Tour with Mrs Jackie (totally free) was lovely! She brought us through the most iconic places in Exeter from the city center to the Quay with very clearly explanations. Very recommended!

I love that the council has this free volunteer program for tourists to learn more about the city and its history. We went for a Sunday 11am tour of the Quay with Pete and about 12 ppl, and it was wonderful! Easy walking pace, great information about the quay and Pete bought in his personal stories of living in the city. Engaging and informative- I highly recommend!

Walking tour around Exeter, which was interesting and informative. Easy pace with our guide Peter who was very knowledgeable. Thoroughly recommend, well done Exeter for providing this free service. No tickets required, look for advertising around the city, we met Peter outside the cathedral.

I went on several of the free guided tours in my last few weeks of university. I learnt so much about the city I had lived in for 4 years during university, it really gave me a new view on Exeter for the better. I wished I had done these at the beginning rather than the end as there are lots of hidden secrets in Exeter that you just have to discover for yourself with these tours :)

We went on a tour of the city wall with our amazing guide, Barry, and it made our vacation in Exeter so worth it. It lasted for two hours, but the sights, stories, and the trivia made us forgot how time passed. It leaves you with a much better appreciation for the city. Definitely recommend!

Ann took us on a fantastic ghost tour of Exeter last night. The tour was fun, interesting and amazing to learn things about the City that I was born in. I saw things in Exeter that I've never seen or known before and can't wait to tell others.. Thank you Ann I look forward to my next tour. Sarah

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned climber, you can test your skills on roped and lead walls reaching up to 14 meters high.
A very fun experience for the children. There’s an adult climbing zone as well. It was quite hard to get to the top on some of them as you get tired quickly as you go up. A great place to visit!

I took my 4 year old to the kids session, 16/8/25. There was a good variety or climbs. He enjoyed the Swiss cheese climb but climbed a little bit too high for his comfort and had a 'moment' when he looked down. The staff were great and one of the young guys climbed up and was very patient talking my son down. Thank you very much.
Pony B — Google review
Awesome afternoon climbing solo here while on holiday. I normally boulder, but they kindly gave me a quick auto belay induction so I had loads of routes to do. Huge amount of top rope and lead available too.
Benj S — Google review
Always like a climbing centre that has a selection of auto belay and roped climbing. There were good lines in the 5 to 6c range. Some holds were super polished but generally not a problem. It wasn't too busy on a sunny Sunday morning. Coffee was good. Staff were friendly.
Gerry A — Google review
Getting back into climbing after a break for a few years. Enjoying auto belays with my son (15) who is also getting back into climbing. Great for all the family. Great off peak when less busy. Cafe isnt bad for a chill. Plenty of options here. Boulding room. Hire your gear. Become a member use the small gym and get discount off your climb, plus other discounts in Taunton leisure. Only downside for me is travelling to Exeter, the traffic is a pain in summer on the M5.

The Quay Climbing Club was the favourite above all the other sports clubs and activities we tried for our son. He started when he was 8 years old and he is still loving it 10 years later! Climbing has helped our son to be confident, have courage, be physically and mentally strong and has developed his balance, focus and attention. He has also met some really friendly like- minded people of all ages.

By far the best climbing gym for miles around. The route setting is excellent, the vibe is great and the cafe has delicious cakes and good coffee

Love the Northcott. It's just the right size to feel cosy and intimate but still offer a great night out. The bar is always well run. On this occasion it was another trip to see the latest show from Stewart Lee, and the fact that this absolute god of comedy is happy to return here time and again should speak volumes for the venue too.

A Great place to watch plays or see great comedians such as Stewart Lee.. To get the relevance to the property you need to be there from the start.

Visited the Northcott Theatre on Saturday 11th October to watch a performance of The Ex Men. The show was brilliant, very informative and funny. I’m registered blind therefore my son asked if they had audio description sets I could use. This was also amazing, I would not really have known what was happening on stage but the audio description brought the whole thing to life. I really enjoyed the evening, the show was excellent, the staff was very helpful, prices in the bar was also good.

Went to see the Rock Orchestra. Great building although actually getting up staircase seemed very chaotic and claustrophobic as very narrow. Seating was good and fairly comfy. Service for drink was fast and freindly. I checked car park info before we left on uni website which advised visitors to use car park C. This is tiny and was obviously completely full. We decided to head to car park B by football pitches - it was empty - information was that we would still need to pay via app even though this was 8pm.
K T — Google review
Went to see, "Pride and Prejudice (sort of)". We were thoroughly entertained! The theatre itself was excellent. It had a real community feel, wasn't pretentious and had everything you may need. Although the parking was a little ambiguous, we eventually found plenty of it. Our understanding is that there may be public transport available. If you're looking for some culture, there are many events, performances and "other" at the theatre. It's a proper champion of the arts.

Going downhill. QUICK…. i used to go couple times a week- now there’s Too many empty stores. Too many student flats….Drop the store rates-pop up shops needed. No shops no public ….Too much bedding left around from night shift people. - they need to leave securely at the cathedral…..Bins need regular emptying. I now go once a month- it’s a shame.

It offers enticing family deals and is known for always having the newest blockbuster releases in stock. Situated within walking distance of the city center, this cinema is an ideal choice for both romantic date nights and enjoyable family outings. With comfortable seats equipped with recliners, it provides a cozy and pleasant movie-watching experience.
I love it there it’s the best cinema ever the seats are comfortable staff are nice Enjoy the movie if you go there !
Chase — Google review
Screen experience absolutely fine, always love the chairs and seemed clean- but everything else is pretty poor at the moment. The pick and mix station (which costs a small fortune anyway) was only about 30% full with loads of boxes empty, the popcorn is always on the stale side and the toilets were absolutely abysmal. Have seen cleaner portaloos at a festival. Last night was a warm evening but air con wasn’t on in the foyer or the screen, which meant any chocolate purchased was pretty much melted and the initial experience in the screen was uncomfortable. This is supposed to be the premium cinema! Step it up Vue!
Laura J — Google review
They changed my seats without my consensus (due to the change of Screen from 3 to 2). In case you don't know the whole point of choosing the seats position and buy the tickets early is for us to find the best seats that we want. Your act really disappointing me in the sense they you just change your products whenever you want. It is like you giving me chicken when I am buying the beef from you. I have attached the proof as the reference.
Choong J — Google review
Disappointing. Back to the bad old days of being robbed blind for concessions and poor selection in the pic n mix. £13 for a drink and a fairly small amount of sweets - much more than my local cinema. No air con so unbearably hot. "Luxury" seats really not comfortable - either had to lay down or my feet didnt touch the floor - I'm 5'6" so not short. My husbands didn't work anyway. Only tried as my local cinemas weren't showing the film we wanted on the day we wanted. Won't be returning.
Jenny A — Google review
Your new pricing of £12 a ticket for the bulk of good seats is a rip off! For a family of four you are pricing yourselves out of the market...bad decision View leadership!
James — Google review
No Air Conditioning at the cinema. As soon as I did step in the room I knew straight away there were no air con. I reported it to a member of staff who said she will call her manager. Everyone was suffering and sweating for 2h30 (the long mission impossible movie) I had difficulty breathing , my heart was pulsing , I had headache which has been a Very Unpleasant experience. After the movie I reported it to another member of staff and have clearly complained so other people as well. The member of staff admitted they had air conditioning problems. You should have offered Free Drinks to your customers... even just water bottle. It is infuriating that you have not informed customers before as we could have buy more drink.. REALLY Unhappy about your attitude especially when you are in a full room for 2h30. I should get a refund for my 3 tickets .
L D — Google review
Unfortunately this cinema isn't very clean. Dirty soiled toilets. Sticky floors downstairs, escalator, upstairs and exit stairs (these are really sticky and covered in dirt and grime). Some screens like screen 4 are very small so I would recommend booking in advance. I like the reclining seats. However, these hadn't been cleaned properly (if at all) between screening and was also sticky. The neighbouring seat had crumbs and dust on it. Unfortunately during the adverts and trailers if sat in the first 3 rows there is a really bright light shining in your eyes. Although, the sound proofing is much better than the Odeon so you don't end up hearing films in the neighbouring screens.
Caedmon G — Google review
Best Vue I've been too. Been to a few in London and the south. But the seats were reclinable sound etc all good. Was a sold out theater for Captain America which added to the atmosphere!

Real people serving, a well stocked bar, proper food, reasonable prices, comfortable seats. There's even nice soap and hand cream in the loos. It's not the cheapest, but it's by far the best place in town to watch a movie.

I like the building, the movies, and the idea of this cinema. I don't like the chairs on the screens. Vintage does not mean uncomfortable. The coffee shop has a nice layout. The food has always been a bit uncooked in my experience. I don't feel the staff at the cafe are very caring

Very nice cinema, with very friendly helpful staff. My only slight issue was the seats weren't overly comfortable but that was only a small issue. But that being said I'd go back.

Excellent small picture house. Friendly staff and very clean premises. The cafe above serves an excellent pizza that's well worth a try. Heartily recommended.

I visited the Picturehouse for the second time yesterday, attending the baby showing and it was fab! On both occasions, the staff have been polite, helpful and welcoming! The facilities are clean and the seats are comfy. It's lovely being able to go to the cinema with my baby. Thank you!
Nicole B — Google review
Saw North by Northwest recently on screen 2. The sound volume is very low, so all one can hear is people talking, moving around in their seats, and loudly munching on their food... crisp packets, popcorn. The volume issue is extremely annoying, and looking at other reviews, seems its a problem with screen 2 at least, for a number of years... Its quite simple Picturehouse Exeter - Turn the volume up! We left the film early as it was so bad. First time I've been in Exeter Picture house. The seating is too small and hardly any room to squeeze past others to get to your sit comfortably. The seats seem to be attached to a platform, so if someone moves around further down, it seems to rock the other seats. Also people behind you kick back of seats alot due to lack of room. Even though the room appeared to have air conditioning, it wasnt turned on, so the room was very dusty and still. Shame as I once was a member of Picturehouse, and compared to Norwich and even Brixton. Exeter Picturehouse, or just the screen 2, seems very run down.

Staff were welcoming and really helpful. The place is well looked after. The children had fun, but it was very hot. The fans are not effective enough on a hot day. The children got far too hot and we could not watch from above, due to the heat in the viewing area. Air conditioning needed!

Selling multi pack cans of drink individually at ridiculous prices. Im sure trading standards will love this! When i tried to buy a drink at reception when booking in I pointed this out to the staff member but when leaving the cans of drink were still sat in the fridge!
John B — Google review
The staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The facilities were excellent and the Cafe suplied a most acceptable glass of latte coffee. My extended family had a super time. My only regret is that I live too far away to be able to treat them to regular visits.
Stephen H — Google review
We visited iBounce today and, while it was nice and quiet, which we appreciated, there were a few issues that made our experience less than enjoyable. It seemed like the lack of facilities and the grumpy staff were the main reasons behind the quiet atmosphere. We were there to have fun with our kids and respect the health and safety guidelines, but the staff member on duty seemed a little too intense. We were simply playing tag with our kids, trying to encourage fun and laughter, but the staff member kept shouting at us for what seemed like silly reasons. It honestly felt like we were singled out, and the approach wasn’t consistent with how other guests were being treated. This staff member appeared to take satisfaction in telling people what they could and couldn’t do, which really took away from the whole experience. We won’t be returning anytime soon. It wasn’t fun at all. We usually go to Flip Out, and that's where we'll be headed in the future. Maybe iBounce could take a note from their more relaxed and friendly approach.
Rhys L — Google review
The staff were very militant and I felt on edge after they pulled aside a child to tell them off without their parent there - saying they were going to take the child off to watch the safety video on their own- so the child was very scared. Not sure il be back. Also- now only allowed “ibounce” branded trampoline socks and these socks they charge a small fortune for …absolute carnage getting in and out as no space tween booking so hundreds of kids getting on / shoes etc in a c small space/ corridor. not worth the money for the experience in my opinion.
Holly C — Google review
I was a big fan of iBounce when I brought my under 5yo to parent and toddler bounce sessions and would also spend time in iPlay afterwards by upgrading for a few quid. We came today for the first time since turning 5 and it felt far too busy. I really felt ripped off having to buy an adult ticket just to supervise as it was too busy for adults to be taking up trampolines that children wanted to use. My son got pretty fed up after just half an hour so we went over to iPlay but discovered the upgrade for £2 isn't on offer at peak times. I really couldn't justify paying full price on top of the iBounce tickets. It would have cost about £30!

We had a fantastic time at Clip ‘n Climb! The staff were so accommodating — when half our party got stuck on the motorway, they kindly moved our booking back two hours with no fuss. The climbing itself was great fun and the kids had a brilliant time. The food was excellent too, and everyone left feeling full and happy. My only small suggestion would be to make the climbing session feel a bit more like a party. The was no mention of it being my sons birthday at all and no real fuss made. When eating, we were put in the corner of the cafe which was absolutely fine, but some balloons or decorations would have been nice. Also more inclusive access to the climbing area would have been great but I understand costs need to be taken into account here. That being said though, it was a really positive experience overall and we’d happily come again.

Saddles & Paddles is a versatile outdoor activity center located on the Exeter Quay, offering a range of options for active family outings. They provide opportunities for dog-friendly canoeing along the river and offer dog trailers for biking adventures through Devon's scenic countryside. The shop is well-equipped with clean facilities and knowledgeable staff who are dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
I was looking for a bicycle as a birthday gift for my son and visited several shops, including Bike Shed, Halfords, and Sports Direct. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the lack of customer service—no one was willing to help, offer advice, or even allow my son to try a bike properly. However, my experience at Saddle & Paddles was completely different! The staff member there was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared about finding the right bike for my son. He took the time to advise us, let my son try different bikes, and ensure he chose the right size. When my son finally decided on a bike, it was out of stock. Instead of pushing us to buy a smaller, less suitable one, he was honest and advised against it, explaining it wouldn’t be comfortable for him. He even provided the bike’s name, number, and websites where we might find it in stock. This level of honesty and customer care is rare. I truly appreciate his exceptional service and highly recommend Saddle & Paddles to anyone looking for a great bike shop in Exeter!

Hired a couple of e-bikes midweek - got excellent directions, a map and suggestions for places to stop along the way and have some lunch. Such good recommendations in fact we dawdled back and were a little late returning the bikes. We expected to pay a little extra but were very pleasantly surprised to be "let off". Maybe because it was a little quiet, maybe they took pity on us plonkers. I can't promise you'll get the same treatment, so please try to be more organised than we were. But it was a much appreciated gesture. I enjoyed the E-bike so much I asked a whole bunch of questions and received patient, helpful and knowledgeable answers, all whilst other customers popped past saying hello to "Harry" by first name. The place gave off good vibes all round. Basically brilliant. Would recommend.

I haven’t been here in many years, and we really were surprised with how many more attractions had been added. There’s something for everybody, especially younger children with a few large play areas inside & a massive one outside called Crealy Fort. Devil slide, curly slides and Vortex water slide. Ideal for wheelchair users and also have a wheelchair seesaw. Also there’s farm animals to see, and plenty of picnic benches. Overall I’d highly recommend 10/10

Boston Tea Party, located in the heart of Exeter, is a popular and integral part of the community. The cafe prides itself on its spacious dining room, commitment to customer experience, and welcoming atmosphere for both humans and dogs. With a first-come, first-served approach and a refusal to accept bookings, Boston Tea Party sets itself apart with its customer-centric service style. The cafe's interior boasts quirky artwork, white-washed walls, and real-life trees inside.
We’re not easy customers and we are well travelled so we tend to judge… But! By not being easy I mean we have dietary requirements (no garlic or onions), we are particular about food (they offer free-range meat - wow, love that so much!) and sometimes we require extra ketchup;). We also came in with a (well-behaved and tired) dog but everything was a breeze!!! Loved the generous space, we were in on Monday so hardly anyone upstairs! It’s refreshing that the tables are not cramped, we do love our space when enjoying our food. And boy was the food to enjoy! One of the best burgers I’ve had, with soft and tasty bun (they get underestimated often) and exceptionally soft meat, very tasty! Loved that sofisticated sauce (no onions;). Chips were generous but I’d say average, but no harm done here:). I really appreciated the well-balanced approach from the staff - very sensitive, no pushy at all, gave us our space, only just making sure we were ok. When we needed anything, they were extra attentive and all with a smile. I did feel well taken care for from food and service to the environment. I wish more of my eating-outs were so gratifying.

Very centrally located, a short distance from Exeter Central Station and the high street. There were already a number of tables occupied even before 9am which was lovely to see. The seating area is upstairs so re accessibility, would recommend calling them to check before going (there was a long bar and 4 high stools downstairs too). Staff were great at explaining what could and couldn’t be modified to coeliac-safe and it was so reassuring that we went back again the following day. Food menu for kids also available.

Very good food and service. I got the salmon, egg and avocado, very fresh. Will not give it 5/5 due to atmosphere as it is cute but nothing extraordinary. 👍

I can’t say enough great things about the staff at BTP, everyone was very helpful and kind. My niece has tree nut allergies and they were all so careful to let us know which menu items she should avoid. The food was amazing! It was my first English breakfast and I am now hooked! The beans and bacon were the highlight. If you go here I hope you have the pleasure of meeting Emily, she really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even made us a list of where we should try to go while visiting Exeter! 10/10, go here you will not be disappointed

Ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you something. We go out to cafés and restaurants every day. We sit down, we order, we eat, and we leave. Most of the time, it’s fine — good food, decent service, nothing more, nothing less. But every so often, someone comes along who changes that routine. Someone who takes what could have been an ordinary meal and turns it into something you actually remember. For me, on this day, that someone was Meg. From the very first moment, Meg didn’t just serve. She welcomed. She paid attention. She carried herself with a kindness that felt real — not rehearsed, not mechanical, but heartfelt. Every interaction, every check-in, every word she spoke was filled with the kind of care that makes you feel not like a customer, but like a guest of honor. And that matters. Because it’s easy to overlook the impact of service. But think about it: food will fill your stomach, but people — people like Meg — they lift your spirit. They create moments. They leave you walking out the door with more than just a receipt in your pocket. You leave with the memory of how you were treated, how you felt. And that’s what lasts. Boston Tea Party has good food, yes. A welcoming space, yes. But Meg — Meg is the reason today stood apart. She turned coffee and a meal into something far greater: an experience worth remembering, worth talking about, worth celebrating. So here’s my word to Boston Tea Party: recognize her, appreciate her, because she is the heart that makes the whole place beat brighter. And here’s my word to anyone reading this: if you’re lucky enough to be served by Meg, know this — you’re in for something special.

Pub
The Old Fire House is a charming rustic pub located in Exeter, known for its dark wood interior and exposed ceiling beams. It's a popular spot among locals and students alike, offering a cozy atmosphere and a leafy courtyard adorned with buntings. The venue hosts live music nights on Fridays and Saturdays, making it an ideal place to unwind with friends over pints of ale or cider.
Fantastic place for pizza and those who love cider not wanting mainstream options
Josh B — Google review
Pizza is good as always but expensive we came back for the nostalgia but the place is seriously filthy. The baskets looks like they are never cleaned. Table 23 had rotten olives and food bits that smelled absolutely terrible and disgusting, toilets are nasty, chairs are dirty, no ventilation and smells like moist morning breath inside. Looks like they just don't care anymore about the place cause they know people will keep coming back anyways for the memories. Please don't reply to the review and just clean the place
Marwan N — Google review
Really disappointed to be writing this. We're working in Devon for the next 6-9 months, so I'd had a look online where was recommended. Here came up as a good option on a Sunday (we'll all be travelling down Sundays and staying for the week, & Sundays are always hard to find somewhere decent). I was on my own this evening, as the first one down here, so thought I'd give it a try. Its always fairly intimidating going into a place on your own, but this looked alright. I ordered a pint (very well kept Estrella) & was enjoying the place. Decor is good, nice atmosphere and decent choice of drinks. A group of staff (some working, others not) were sat at the end of the bar, playing cards and having a laugh... all good to this point. I'd noticed on the food menu (photo attached) that it said live music on Sundays, so when I ordered a second pint I asked the lad behind the bar if they had anything on this evening. He said "not tonight" and I thought that was it. Next thing I know, he goes back to his colleagues at the end of the bar & starts making a joke that I'd asked about the music. "live music tonight. is he joking?" ... "live music?" followed by sniggers and people having a laugh at my expense. It only stopped when somebody said "did you want to say that any louder?" when I expect they realised I was in earshot. It made me feel really uncomfortable, unwelcome and just went against the whole vibe of the place and the reviews I had read. I quickly finished my drink and left, I'm sure if you're a big group, or a regular, this would be an alright place, but as a person on your own I would absolutely give it a swerve... unless you want to be mocked by staff and openly talked about behind your back. We'll find somewhere else to eat / drink the next few months.

I’ve been coming to this pub for the last eight years, ever since I moved to Exeter, and it honestly feels like the end of an era. When it changed from private ownership to being part of a chain, there were already big differences, no more jugs of cider with syrup, a much smaller selection of local ales, but I still kept coming back because the atmosphere was so special. After the most recent refurbishment, though, the pub has been completely stripped of its personality. I understand that new electrics or bar improvements may have been necessary, but what made this place unique and cozy is simply gone. The warm, rustic feel has been replaced with something cold and clinical. Outside, the long benches and the iconic candles in the wine bottles are gone. Instead of soft yellow fairy lights, there’s now bright white glare that feels more like a waiting room than a pub garden. Inside, the rich red walls have been painted plain white, and all the quirky old furniture has been replaced with generic pieces you could find in any chain pub. It used to feel welcoming, cozy, and full of character, you could believe the stories that JK Rowling was inspired by the Old Firehouse when imagining The Leaky Cauldron for Harry Potter series. Sadly, no one would believe it now. Now it looks and feels like every other chain pub geared toward late-night student crowds. The magic, warmth, and individuality are gone. All that’s left is a generic shell. Unless they hang some TVs and turn it into a sports bar, it’s hard to imagine how it could lose any more of its former charm. I never thought I’d say this, but after so many years, I don’t see myself coming back. It’s just too sad to see what it’s become.
Liza Z — Google review
What a brilliant pub. The staff are so friendly, great atmosphere. We had a 14 inch sharing pizza. They are massive, delicious and great value for money. We are visiting from Wales. But it's a must visit pub
Roy — Google review
This place is brilliant. I don't know where you will find a better pizza, a better value pizza, a tastier pizza. The pizzas are 14" square, more than enough for 2 people. Decent price at around £20 and loaded with toppings. We shared a Cajun Chicken Pizza which was so tasty and stacked with Cajun Chicken, Pepperoni, ham and cheese. Absolute first class, with lovely staff and great service. Can't fault them.
Sean O — Google review
Went there Sunday lunchtime and was pleasantly surprised by the new changes. They have kept the character and charm of the pub whilst adding some modern touches. The drunk chicken pizza was really nice and the selection of gins and beers on tap was great to see. I’m not in town very often but when I am, this will be my place to go for lunch. Isobel and Donna were very welcoming when we arrived

1st time at Sandy Park. Great stadium, different stand options, good catering and lots of toilets. Parking is at Exeter Science Park with a shuttle bus in between. My first visit to Sandy Park for the Women’s World Cup, it all went very smoothly. Caught train from Exeter Central Digby & Sowton Station then a gentle 15min walk to the ground. Stadium well layed out, comfortable and clean, good food concession even catered for my coeliac wife. Only downside we were not allowed to take metal drinking bottles in to the venue. Looked on Chief’s website and they allow metal water bottles, apparently the women’s World Cup organisers decided to change the criteria. They feared them being used as weapons, thus forcing us to buy plastic bottles. Advertising at the ground says refill not landfill pity authorities do not take more notice of their own publicity.I do not think 10,000 adolescent girls are really a safety hazard?

Great day out, fantastic atmosphere, good food choice options if a little pricey. Really pleasant staff that are very helpful and really help create the family atmosphere. The place is spotlessly clean and puts to shame some indoor venues I have been too. The only little negativity is the parking but that’s not a major problem.

Attended Sandy park as an away fan on a game day. Place was very welcoming, toilets very clean and plentiful. Lots of bars and food outlets to choose from (quite pricey but that's to be expected) Seating was spacious (in the West stand where we were seated) compared to other grounds I've visited. All in all a lovely day out, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a game day trip here.

A well laid out modern stadium. Easy to get to, with plenty of parking on site and within walking distance. The amenities within the stadium are well though out and are practical for a large crowd. Best of all are their own brand pasties, expensive but worth it. If you need to stay over, the nearby hotel is just the otherside of the shared carpark. We have now been twice in the passed couple of weeks for Women's Rugby World Cup games, and have had a fantastic time.

Northernhay Gardens, located in the heart of Exeter, Devon, England, is a historic and picturesque urban oasis. Established in 1612 as a leisure area for residents, it holds significant historical value with remnants of Roman and Saxon walls. The garden boasts mature trees and vibrant seasonal floral displays, including an impressive collection of 59 Cornus varieties. Visitors can also spot wildlife such as peregrines and sparrowhawks amidst the serene surroundings.
These gardens were beautiful to visit, showing the blossom across their trees in the summer! Different shapes of trees are present and these extended up to the city walls even, bushes add a nice little accompaniment. The plants are large and a map helps navigate around everything, mini buildings add a pleasant feel to the greenery themselves!

Decent looked nice.It was relatively clean, but there was a couple unkept areas, and there wasn't enough benches or bins, and there was so little benches. We ended up having to sit on a small wall that had leftover cigarette buds and other rubbish stuffed in the corners. If you are looking for nice peaceful place to walk then don’t look anywhere else and come here. Very well looked after place by the local council. Central and close to the city and comfortable to eat your lunch within. Have seen many people having their lunch and reading book. Young students were having their picnic in the summer. Lush green park with awesome colourful wild flowers. Castle ruins are just next door thing. There’s a lot of reasons to visit this garden so just do it.

The oldest public open space in England. Lovely park in the middle of the city, beside Exeter Central Station and near to High Street. Free to visit. Calm and peaceful place to read a book, relax, or spend time with yourself, with nature or with family. Beautiful in the autumn. Clean. Impressive war memorial in the center. The gardens incorporate a stretch of Roman wall and the only length of Saxon town wall to be seen in England.

Beyond regular swim sessions, lessons are also available for children to gain confidence in both the pool and the sea.
We love this pool--it's our favourite place to swim in Exeter. Reasonably priced, cheerful and helpful staff, Lifeguards who are 'on it'...and it's run by volunteers! And the pool is heated!!! The changing rooms are well maintained too, so a great place to bring the children. They have outdoor tables next to the pool, with umbrellas. There's even a vending machine if you need snacks. It has a lovely family atmosphere for the family swims.

Very friendly staff very clean changing rooms and toilets. The pool is very clean and perfectly chlorinated. The pool was not too busy so great for a good swim . It has a shallow end perfect for small children then it is 3 m’s deep at the deep end . The price represents good value for a heated out door pool , £13 for 1 adult and 2 children .

My sister and I enjoyed a lovely swim today, Thursday 22nd August. The water was a perfect temperature for a swim. Only four boys to share the pool with at 2pm with a few more attending later on. We managed 30 lengths with very few obstacles. Really lovely pool to visit whilst on holiday.

It was a bit overcast today but don’t let that put you off. We attended a family session with a littering of floats for the kids. Started quite busy but the kids had an amazing time. Visitors can enjoy an immersive audio-visual presentation titled 'Exeter - 2,000 Years of History,' which spans from Roman times to modern-day.
Wonderful visit and learnt lots from this interesting visitor centre. Great staff and you can attend many of their free redcoat tours. Its ok. Nothing special. The outside looks better than the in. The staff were friendly enough, but the displays were very boring to me. It was good information, don't get me wrong. And the history was very interesting but I just think they should be displayed better as right now it is just large posters with information on. No artifacts or anything to add context or make more dynamic.

St Catherine's Chapel and almshouses were established in 1457 by Canon John Stevens to accommodate thirteen impoverished men. The buildings, located in Princesshay, Exeter, were constructed next to the cathedral church. The chapel is a Grade II Listed Building and stands alongside the almshouses as a striking ruin. Although small in size (about 6m by 3m) and lacking a roof or windows, it holds historical significance.
A well preserved Chapel close to the Cathedral and well worth the visit if you’re in the area.

A quiet and poignant place. It's redevelopment into a memorial is quite clever, although sadly a little run down at this stage. Despite this, it is rich in history and archaeology, and the ruins of the burnt out chapel make for an interesting visit. It is reasonably wheelchair friendly and has disabled access, although in some areas, the ground is uneven.
Isaac L — Google review
St Catherine's Chapel is a Grade II Listed Building in the centre of Exeter. The Chapel was built alongside the former Almshouses and is the most striking part of the ruins. Originally a two-storey building it is still standing to its full height, though of very small dimensions (about 6m by 3m) and now with no roof or windows. The Chapel eventually fell out of use and was later used as a carpenter's shop. The whole structure was destroyed by fire 4 May 1942 and the ruins remain as a War Memorial.

This approximately 6.5-meter-high stainless steel sculpture features inscriptions of riddles that are written backwards and can be read by being reflected onto the stainless steel surface. The sculpture offers an intriguing combination of historical enigmas and contemporary design, making it a must-see for visitors interested in art and history.
Beautiful and interesting sculpture that combines riddles from the Exeter Riddles Book that dates back to the 11th Century with modern technology. The riddles have been inscribed backwards and can be read by being reflected onto stainless steel.

Market
The Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market is a festive extravaganza located outside the cathedral, featuring a wide array of stalls offering everything from jewelry and sweet treats to handmade gifts and local delicacies. The market, set against the backdrop of the stunning Exeter Cathedral, boasts traditional wooden chalets reminiscent of German markets and twinkling lights that create a magical Yuletide atmosphere. Visitors can also enjoy events and activities at the cathedral itself, including carol services, concerts, and educational programs.
On the day we visited we couldn't go all around the Cathedral as it was under restoration, but what we did see was beautiful and helpful guides dotted around to help with any questions you have, also a cafe and gift shop on site
Julie H — Google review
A bit busy but a lovely place to visit. There were lots of different kinds of stalls, a real variety and lots of gifts that were quite reasonably priced all things considered. A lot better value than our local Christmas market in Bath. Apparently the huts there are really expensive, but this market is organised by Exeter Cathedral and are obviously more reasonable for businesses to hire a hut.
P M — Google review
Loved the atmosphere at the market. Such a diverse range of shops to explore from and can't resist purchasing them! The food stalls were outstanding too!
Erandi G — Google review
Brilliant cathedral nice and big however some of it was closed off and yet the admission price is still the same no toilets disabled access available staff very friendly and knowledgeable very nice well worth the admission fee 👍 keep up the good work
Matthew B — Google review
It was early April when I visited, according to Google. It was all packed up, and even the grass had recovered. All the armed police had gone home, or back to London transport or wherever they go when not prowling Xmas markets. Just a little old cathedral left, and a tree where I used to sit in the shade on a sunny day, but that's roped off now. People can't dodge branches like they used to. Still nice, though.
Nigel B — Google review
This market has gotten better in recent years, with many local independent businesses being represented. It's nice to see something relatively different, and also at more price points for all budgets. Unfortunately it has been the victim of its own success so time your visit well if you're not good with crowds as it can become very claustrophobic when busy.
Chris — Google review
Really amazing crafts and art
Annie P — Google review
Lovely Christmas market with plenty of variety and excellent food selection. Will definitely be back next year as the atmosphere is so good and it's never unpleasantly busy. Also, it's worth visiting the smaller stalls in the Chapter House courtyard.

The Anglican church, St Thomas the Apostle Church, is incredibly welcoming and aesthetically pleasing both inside and outside. The well-maintained grounds boast an array of trees including unique varieties such as the Turkey Oak and Lucombe Oak, alongside a grand Beech tree and numerous Yew trees. With over 11 years of history, this local church offers something for everyone regardless of age. It actively supports the community through various events held in its hall.
Beautiful old church and grounds, with well-tended flowers and character-full trees. A good place to sit and rest and contemplate...

I attended a Remembrance Service held at this location yesterday. It was organised by the staff of the Cooperative Funeral Service for the bereaved families who had used the CFS for their loved one's funerals. An excellent event for which one can only offer grateful thanks.

The Church inside and out is very nice and welcoming. The grounds are kept very well and there are some very good sized trees, including some more of the unusual ones such as a Turkey Oak and the Lucombe Oak. There is also a large Beech tree and quite a few Yew trees.

Relaxing. Lovely park to while away the hours. Shady under a tree on a hot day. Would return next time I'm in Exeter. Cool graffiti just outside.

Typically park with circular path going around, basketball court, children's play area with swings, slides, monkey bars, etc, a community house to rent functions equipped with kitchen hall rooms and toilets. There are a few attractive exercise machines as well forming an outdoor gym. Good park for picnics, children's play, exercise and sports. It also hosts the Respect Festival every year.

Great play park, recently updated including a great onsite cafe Inc children's party venue, I can remember from my junior years and my mum taken me and my sister's there, Great 3 different size paddling pools, but sadly today Tuesday 16 July 24 all the gates were chained and the paddling pool area was closed to the public, shame as such a lovely hot summer's day Photos of the pool are from previous visits,

Played here during a trip to Devon. Good open course with wide fairways. Damp conditions combined with slightly long grass impeded ball travel. Greens were in good condition for the time of year. Interesting to find a friendly group of Foxes in and around the 12th and 15th holes watching us play. Will be back to play the course again in better weather. Facilities very good for food and the Golf Pro shop well stocked.

The afternoon tea is fine and a good price. We were not given a choice about drinks other than basic tea or coffee. Nice restaurant area though, with lots of parking. The service was really poor, we were ignored upon entering, the food took 40 minutes to arrive and we weren’t visited again. No drink top ups, check ins, or opportunities to ask for the bill. In the end we cleared up ourselves and paid at the bar - and we were ignored there too!

Have to say, I really enjoyed my visit to St James Park, as an away fan. Super organised, everyone cares. Got handed a voucher for a free cup of tea as soon as I walked through the turnstiles. Stewards were friendly, and cheerful. Young away fans were invited to get involved in the halftime activities. Prices for refreshments weren't horrendous. It's not the most luxurious of grounds, however it's one of the most welcoming I've been to, which made the experience enjoyable. Toilets are a portakabin, but we're reasonably clean. Home fans were welcoming as well Look forward to coming back

13th stadium ticked off ✅ Great stadium, the people in the museum were lovely and we chatted about Exeter FC and their match against Brazil in the 40s. The club shop was good, however shirts were pricey. I purchased a pin badge, two match day programmes, a water bottle and some goalkeeper socks for only £17.50 The only thing that I do not like about the stadium that it is extremely hard to find parking around the stadium. I would recommend getting a taxi down to the ground on matchdays so you won't have to deal with the hassle of attempting to find a spot

Great experience all round – excellent service, good canoes, and fair prices. We booked in the shop, and Dom was very friendly and knowledgeable. The whole process took less than 10 minutes, and we had two canoes ready for four people the next day. On arrival, we got quick advice on where to go and what to avoid. We had Jack host us. He made us feel at ease for our first escape room. He set the mood and story well. If anything adding a massive value to the whole experience. Awesome, after a fantastic, fun welcome from our host we were given clear instructions and we were on our way, we had 2 teams trying to get out of identical rooms and we escaped within 10 seconds of each other close to the hour. The puzzles were taxing but not overly complicated and there were plenty of interactions where the results of our actions created a real buzz. We all left really happy and cant wait to return.
