Scenic World, located in the Blue Mountains Katoomba region, offers three main attractions and a 2.4 km walkway for visitors to explore. The railway boasts the steepest descent in the world, while the aerial cable transport drops 545 meters into the gorge. With an exploration pass, visitors can spend a whole day navigating the National Park and seamlessly transition between attractions.
It is a lovely drive into the Blue Mountains and it is our first time visiting. Scenic World was a great experience for the different views you get from the 3 rides. You just get a different perspective of the many natural wonders that the Blue Mountains presents. We rode each of the rides multiple times as you seem to notice more things each time you ride. We didn't get anything to eat while there as we brought food along but the cafe and restaurant were both busy each time we passed. A nice touch is that there a few water stations scattered around where you can fill your water bottle for free which is great as you hike around. All up, we all enjoyed ourselves and had a great day out in nature with some absolutely stunning views. Can highly recommend.

Visiting first thing in the morning will help to tackle crowd. We had a good time with the cable car and thrilling experience with the steepest train ride . Prepare yourself for lot of walking. Cap, sunglass, sunscreen, water and comfortable footwear is advisable. Lot of viewpoints .. Family friendly trails.. esp kids love the latest addition of dinosaur valley. Very innovative and lot of effort to put animatronics in a forest . Souvenir shop has a lot of variety. Restrooms and Food court are available. Buses available to and from Katoomba station . Becomes crowded around noon.. lot of shops to eat and shop near Katoomba station

Outstanding day out! First of all, the staff are the nicest staff I've encountered, so welcoming from the moment you arrive. (Thank you Dominique for easing out little one into the excitement) The coffee from the Cafe was delicious. So much to see and explore, the dinosaur Valley was well worth the cost of a ticket. We drove from Queensland specifically for this and I would do it again and again! Absolutely loved and so did our dinosaur mad little one. One Day we will cherish.

Scenic World in the Blue Mountains is a fantastic place to visit. One can easily spend a day viewing the spectacular scenery and walking through the valley floor rainforest boardwalk. The funicular scenic railway was an amazing experience. It only travels for a short time, but it is very spectacular. Once in the valley, one has the opportunity to walk through a wonderful rainforest. The many sign boards explain not only the history of the location, but also features of the flora and fauna. During our recent visit, the Dinosaur Valley display was available. This was a real treat. The children present loved it. The mainly young staff were very friendly and helpful.

Scenic World is an amazing experience! The cableway, skyway, and railway all offer stunning views of the Blue Mountains. The air was cool and refreshing, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Everything was well organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Even though it was a bit cloudy, the view was still beautiful. Definitely worth a visit!
ARIS — Google review
We visited Scenic World on a weekday and had such a lovely time. The cafe and gift shop were both great — I especially loved the gift shop and ended up buying a few dinosaurs. The walk through the Dinosaur Valley was wonderful — refreshing, with plenty of fresh air and lifelike dinosaur displays along the way. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience was beautiful and enjoyable for all age groups.

Amazing spot with great views. Well sorted and put together setup with friendly staff. Really enjoyed the afternoon here. Only ding on the star is I found the price steep, especially considering the scenic rail was down for maintenance.

Scenic World is an absolute must-visit! The world’s steepest railway is such a thrilling and unforgettable ride – an experience like no other. The Skyway, Cableway, and Walkway all offer incredible views of the Blue Mountains, making the whole place feel truly magical. Everything is well-organised, family-friendly, and gives you the perfect mix of adventure and breathtaking scenery. For uni students, they even offer discounts on tickets – so make sure to carry your student ID card. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Blue Mountains!

The Three Sisters walk is a must-visit in the Blue Mountains, located near the quaint town of Katoomba. This iconic landmark features three weathered sandstone peaks steeped in Aboriginal legend. The walk offers stunning views of the rock formation and surrounding landscapes, including Lincoln Rock with its epic mountain and valley vistas. A visit to the Blue Mountains promises an unforgettable experience with its Aussie bushland, wildlife, and rich cultural heritage.
The Three Sisters Lookout offers breathtaking views that are absolutely worth the visit! The scenery is stunning, with panoramic vistas of the iconic rock formation and surrounding valleys. The area is well-maintained, and the viewing platforms provide a perfect, safe spot for photos or quiet reflection. Whether you're a tourist or local, it's a memorable and inspiring experience. Don’t miss it!

The place is beautiful! The hiking trails are very well marked, but unfortunately some paths are closed. There are lots of viewpoints where you can admire the mountains! The only downside is that buses full of tourists come and go. So the entrance is crowded, but as soon as you venture off the beaten track, there's no one around!
Kenza M — Google review
The scenery presents a breathtaking panorama of the natural world, a testament to the beauty of untouched wilderness. The cascading water creates a soothing ambiance, contributing to the overall tranquility of the location. These long track walks meander through diverse landscapes, offering various perspectives of the mountain. Such natural splendor provides a rejuvenating experience, far removed from the stresses of daily life. This is a destination that captures the essence of a perfect escape, offering a harmonious blend of adventure and serenity.

Absolutely breathtaking views! The Three Sisters Lookout offers one of the most iconic and stunning sceneries in the Blue Mountains. The panoramic cliffs, lush valleys, and the majestic rock formations are simply unforgettable. The lookout is easy to access, with plenty of walking tracks nearby for those who want to explore further. A must-visit spot if you’re in NSW – perfect for photos, nature walks, or just soaking in the beauty of Australia. Highly recommend!

Visiting the Three Sisters in Katoomba was such a magical experience. The moment we arrived, we were completely amazed by the breathtaking mountain views and the calm beauty of nature. My family and I also took a ride on the Scenic Railway, which is said to be the most inclined railway in the world, and it was such an unforgettable thrill. The air was fresh and crisp, and the weather quite cold, so a warm jacket is a must. It’s truly one of those places that makes you stop and appreciate how stunning the world can be.
Linh-Dan N — Google review
Glorious The views are spectacular. A nice little kiosk and gift shop to purchase souvenirs from and includes a tourist information centre at the back to get all your details from of what to see and do while in Katoomba. A water bottle filling station is provided also to fill your drink bottles with fresh water. Nice tidy toilet facilities.
Karen D — Google review
Windy as usual but does not detract from the amazing views. Greatly improved access since our last visit pre Covid with adequate platform viewing even with a couple of coaches of visitors. There is a small paid parking area or look for off street paid parking. Can get a hot drink, meal or souvenir at the Lookout Echo Point plaza 5 min walk from the Three Sisters.

Katoomba Falls is a stunning multi-tiered waterfall located in the Blue Mountains, tumbling 150 meters into the Jamison Valley. The best way to experience it is by taking the 3-kilometer Katoomba Falls Round Walk, which starts at Scenic World carpark and offers views of the falls from various lookout points along the trail.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Katoomba Falls is absolutely worth the hike! It took us about 45 minutes from the Three Sisters, and the walk itself was beautiful. The falls are stunning — with crystal clear water and breathtaking views. A must-see spot in the Blue Mountains!
Vinewood K — Google review
Been to this place couple of times and it's always been peaceful. Kids loves it however water was so cold. There is also a bench where you can sit and access is through stairs but there ain't many.

I visited Katoomba Falls on a bright, windy day, and it was truly a breathtaking experience. This stunning natural wonder is a must-see when exploring the Blue Mountains. From a distance, the cascading water sparkled in the sunlight, creating a mesmerizing view. As I followed the winding trail closer to the falls, I was captivated by the sheer power and beauty of the rushing water. I highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes to navigate the rocky paths and bringing a jacket, as the air can get quite brisk during cooler weather. It's important to stay on the designated trails to fully appreciate the environment and ensure safety. Katoomba Falls is not just a sight to behold; it’s an adventure that you won't want to miss!

Camped at the falls caravan park. It's good access to the falls the 3 Sisters lookout and Scenic World. It's a lovely walk and part is light up at night so you can do the walk in the dark

A beautiful spot. Took my lil family for a some nature time. Love the fact there's multiple ways and routes to this spot. You have the choice of cable car, Bus and for the fit hikers a 45 minute trek.

Walked from the Information centre to the Katoomba Cascades. Such a beautiful walk. Medium intensity walk. So worth the 20 or so minutes to get there. The walking track is paved well, stepping stones too. Very picturesque.

Beautiful waterfall with stunning views and peaceful walking tracks. A must-visit spot in the Blue Mountains!

Katoomba falls is located within the Blue Mountains National Park. You get to view the falls from Scenic Park Skyway and you can also take a walk via the walking trail from the Echo Point which can take upto 1.5 hrs including return. We took the Skyway and the view was excellent from the top giving a panoramic view. The Skyway driver gives a narrative about the falls as you pass through the gorge. The Skyway takes about 5 mins to cross one way. A must visit when you visit the Blue Mountains National Park.

Minnehaha Falls is a stunning natural attraction located in the mountains of North Katoomba. The falls feature towering sandstone cliffs that line the emerald waters cascading down Yosemite Creek, creating a breathtaking sight. Accessible via a 1.5 km track with some rough patches and steep sections, the journey promises to be rewarding for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy an invigorating dip under the gentle cascade and relax in the cool mountain pool during summer.

Whether you’re there for a peaceful walk, a picnic, or just to enjoy the sound of cascading water, Minnehaha Falls offers a lovely escape into nature. Highly recommended for nature lovers and casual explorers alike!
Suhas S — Google review
Minnehaha Falls is an absolute hidden gem in the Blue Mountains! The hike is moderately challenging — you’ll walk through light bushland, cross small streams, and climb down some steep man-made steps. It’s not too long, but definitely gets the heart pumping. As you get closer, the sound of the waterfall builds and adds to the excitement. The falls themselves are stunning — peaceful, powerful, and perfect for a quick dip if you’re brave (the water is chilly, even in summer!). Well worth the adventure!
Vinewood K — Google review
Another beautiful gem in Blue Mountains. One of the easiest or shortest trek I have done so far. Just 1.5 km one way. Grade: Medium I saw some families trekking this walk with their toddlers as well. Parking available, easy to locate. Waterfalls itself was very serene. For adventurous people, there are few spots when you can dive from a height straight into the pool which is at the base of the waterfalls.
Darshan M — Google review
Minnehaha Falls offers an easy, short trail with fantastic views, especially of the falls. Be prepared for very muddy conditions underfoot. The water is extremely cold but wonderfully refreshing for a dip. A highly recommended short walk.
William T — Google review
Beautiful spot and a fairly easy walk down, but harder coming back up. You can swim down there in a small pool, won't get many strokes in though, it's small but beautiful
Luici T — Google review
Perfect day out spot near Sydney 🔥 beautiful view with green nature. There are many small waterfalls you can see while trekking. Just 15 mins trek. Must visit❤️
Shrutee K — Google review
Beautiful walk, with stunning falls at the end. Wear proper walking shoes as it can be wet and muddy. A lot of stairs near the end but relatively easy.

When visiting Katoomba, a stop at the Blue Mountains Chocolate Company is a must for chocolate lovers. Situated near the famous Katoomba Scenic Railway, this spot offers over 20 flavors of chocolate bars, hand-dipped organic dried figs, truffles, ice cream, and decadent cakes. The company also provides chocolate making demonstrations and features a cafe serving real hot chocolate and homemade cakes.
We came across the Blue Mountains Chocolate Company while walking to Echo Point. The place was pretty empty- it was a Monday morning. Despite the shabby exterior, we were pleasantly surprised once we stepped inside. The girl who served us was lovely and took the time to describe different flavours to us. The chocolates are paid for by weight, so you can individually select each piece, which was great. My personal favourites were the dark chocolate Black Forest, which had a whole glace cherry inside, and the dark Banoffee, which had a perfect balance of caramel and banana flavours. A delightful stop and a nice treat after a long walk.
Isabella C — Google review
Ordered two takeaway hot chocolates and was told that it would be a 15 minute wait. 50 minutes later we asked a staff member if our order would be ready. The staff member couldn’t have been ruder, whispered to her colleague and no apology given. Two hot chocolates were made and no acknowledgement of their error. Give this place a miss solely on terrible customer service.
Ciara S — Google review
Located at 176 Lurline Street, Katoomba, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This, sad to say was a big disappointment for me. I came expecting a huge selection of chocolates etc and yes, they did have some delicious handmade chocolates on display, there really wasn’t a lot of different kinds of chocolates to choose from. I think, in its heyday, it was a great place to come but now, it’s been left to decline. The building itself needs a good spruce up, on the veranda, there’s a broken awning that, quite frankly looks terrible. The staff were friendly but they were really more interested in talking to each other, than serving. You can have milkshakes, coffee/tea, ice chocolate/coffee, hot chocolate, hot chocolate served in fondue set (which is what I had for $7.95 - This was delicious 😋) and ice cream. But that’s it. Nothing to eat other than that. It would be ideal for dessert items like cake, waffles etc. There is so much wasted potential here and it’s a crying shame. I don’t think I would recommend. Thumbs down 👎🤷‍♀️
Nerine C — Google review
Came in to the cafe to have a quick hot chocolate before our trip to scenic world. We understood that it would take the drinks quite some time as the place as packed and it was a Sunday so it was expected. What was not acceptable was the fact that our order was not passed on to the barista and we waited for an hour for the drinks to come. 30 mins into ordering we were told that we should wait another 15 minutes. Approaching 50 minutes, I went up to the counter and asked politely if my order was in the queue. To which the staff said sorry your order was not printed out. I understand that mistakes can happen but the fact that it took over an hour and not double checking our order the first time we bumped them, and not providing any compensation for our time is disappointing, because of this we were late to our scenic world ticket scheduled at 3pm and completely staggering the rest of our plan to the blue mountains all the way from Sydney. Pics show time ordered and when order actually came ( note that the hot chocolate was barely lukewarm and was nothing special).
Kelvin — Google review
About ten minutes before the usual opening time, we were parked outside the shop. It was windy with rain. Thought, the place will be all ours. We were so wrong. There was a long queue by the door, three minutes before the door sign was flipped to 'open'. This speaks so much how this cafe impress customers by serving the best chocolates, drinks, and pastries! The hot chocolate fondue set served deconstructed is one unique, amazing experience one can have in Australia.
Anne — Google review
The store is quite small and when we went it was packed and the staff was overwhelmed. The hot chocolate is delicious and definitely worth the try. The blueberry muffin was soo good too!
Raya — Google review
Sometimes what the name sounds, doesn't make the place authenticate. With the disaster coffee and tasteless vanilla frappe, you cannot place someone to make barista coffee unless they are trained too, but here the two girls on the counter serving and making coffee had no clue when you give a bad coffee to a coffee lover. Only good thing was thier Ferrero cake slice and ice creams which was a but relief but rest was awful. By the way the chocolate tasting was also not a fun either.
Solly — Google review
It was just amazing! The little store is really welcoming and the staff is super friendly! I ordered a mud cake (came as vegan and gluten free) and a real chocolate. I didn't expect the hot chocolate to be that much! It was perfect. I would say it is not just a drink, it is an experience. I never had hot chocolate like this before, thank you very much for that. So when you are visiting the blue mountains definitely have a stop there and regain some energy for the exhausting walks 🫶🏼

The Giant Stairway is a challenging yet rewarding segment of a day-long hike, offering stunning views of the Three Sisters rock formations. This historic stone and steel staircase, opened in 1932, features over 800 steps that lead adventurers down the rugged terrain. The descent includes almost vertical situations and offers a glimpse into the area's past with some original carved stairs still intact.
The Tasman Arch is spectacular. My wife and I stepped up to the fence and the scene took our breath away. Some great walks in the area. We went to the beach at Pirates cove even though it was cool. A beautiful drive to get there and several places to stop for oysters etc!
Tedd S — Google review
The Giant Stairway is exactly that. Just under 1000 stairs to tackle. The views are stunning. I took my time to take in the views so others had to walk around me. I wasn't rushing for anyone. Lol... It's a must do when you visit Katoomba.

Come on and push yourself to get soaked into this mesmerised experience. It does some level of fitness and will to do however its worth it.

Not for the faint of heart - Steep stairs We walked down for about 20 minutes and could not see the bottom of the stairs looking down. The way back up is way harder 🤣 Overall it was fun.
Matthew W — Google review
Breathtaking (in the truest sense of the word)! It's exhausting but well worth every step of the way. The vistas are majestic, and if you are lucky, you even stumble upon some lyrebirds. I was lucky enough to see 4, one making all kinds of weird and funny sounds.
Walter S — Google review
Great place to hike if you're here to see the three sisters. It's at the side and the stairs are pretty narrow and steep. Be extra careful especially after rain. It should take you about 15 minutes to get to the bottom. When you are at the bottom, you can walk on the trails which is pretty much flat.
ArChy — Google review
A great place to hike/trek. However, it is not for the faint hearted. Some parts of the staircase are really steep and just hanging by the side of the cliff/mountain, looking down will turn your leg jelly. The passage is small and enough for 1 person so take note when there are people going in both directions. Nearing the base the path opens up and you get more greenery. Going down was not too bad, just had to go slow and watch the step. Going up I think can be a killer, it's a really tiring climb up. We climbed down and walked 1hr to the scenic world base station. Scenic world ride back to the top ends at 4:50pm, if you miss the last ride back up you have to climb the stairs (Giant Stairway) all the way back up - so take note.

Everglades House & Gardens, located in Leura, is a charming 1930s art deco home surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. The property offers guided tours and traditional tea rooms for visitors to enjoy. Once the residence of Henri Van de Velde, an importer/exporter and fitness enthusiast, the house still features original elements like a 1930s-style steam chamber and a large spa upstairs.
Everglades House & Gardens in Leura is a hidden gem in the Blue Mountains. The 1930s Art Deco house is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, offering stunning views over the Jamison Valley. It's a perfect spot for nature lovers and those interested in history and architecture. Highly recommended for a serene and enriching experience.

For a small garden, I really enjoyed visiting! There’s not too much that really wowed me but I did love the waterfall (grotto) but I wish there was more access to it. It was exciting to see some wildlife, such as some ducks resting in shade! My highlight was the grotto & the greenery, definitely a good garden to visit if you enjoy walking & exploring! Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the tearooms. I had been looking forward to visiting them but the environment was very intimidating, I’d like to visit again on a quieter day.
Emma M — Google review
Managed by the national trust and operated by volunteers, a nice relaxing hideaway tonvisit on weekends. There is an entry fee to support upkeep and the grounds and buildings are well kept. Best time to go is spring. $17/adult or a family pass for $40. You can spend an hour or two there and a converted squash court has an art gallery that hosts local artists every few weeks. Volunteers are helpful and approachable
Giulio C — Google review
This is a beautiful venue to visit, the entry fee is reasonable. I have visited a few times over the last 5 years. This time I actually was able to visit in spring which didn’t disappoint! I have visited in all seasons, it’s always lovely. One thing - it certainly helps if there’s good weather! There are facilities and food & drinks available on site as well. Definitely worth visiting.
Caroline A — Google review
The tearooms are lovely and although the menu is limited, our toasties were delicious. The Art Deco house, while not large, is well worth the visit. The views from the bedrooms are amazing and the bathrooms quite something. The beautiful gardens were full of azaleas and rhododendrons. My only complaint would be that it is far from accessible for those with mobility needs. The disabled carspaces are no wider than the normal ones and there is a steep climb up from them. There are virtually no paths, other than the driveway for people who have difficulty with stairs, let alone for those in a wheelchair. This is a shame, because with a little thought I am sure this could be altered with no detrimental effects.

Beautiful little garden area to visit, with a blend of Japanese and native Australian plants and trees, it has a breathtaking view down the bottom of the gardens also. Highly recommend

Just a short drive from Blackheath, this charming spot offers both a cozy indoor dining area with a warm fireplace and an inviting outdoor space where you can enjoy your meal while watching sheep graze nearby.
Beautiful, cozy and a great escape to a slow paced area of the blue mountains!! We loved coming here so much, heaps of parking, lots of tables and great food! The scones were huge and were so delicious. Loved the apple pie as well. The views outside were so lovely and so good to sit outside.

Went there with friends. Great Cafe with amazing views and lovely staff. We tried baked eggs and Megalong Valley breakfast. Baked eggs were delicious and Megalong Valley breakfast looked okay. We also tried coffees and scones. Coffees were great and scones were fresh. Overall a great experience. It's definitely worth a visit and will go back again soon.

Stunning location, excellent food and service, you couldn’t ask for more. My beloved had the apple pie and gave it 2 thumbs up. We had the scones, nice and light and the perfect size. Special mention for the blackberry jam, not too sweet and the fruit flavour shine through, it’s a little thing but shows the love and attention to detail in the food here.

The food and drinks were amazing and the 1956 Apple Pie was to die for! Beautiful setting with plenty of space and great views around the countryside. The staff were friendly and service was fine considering how busy it was. The drive through the Megalong Valley was pretty cool too!

🌿 A Peaceful Slice of Heaven! 🌿 Megalong Valley Tea Rooms is pure magic. Tucked away in a serene corner of the Blue Mountains, it feels like stepping into another world — quiet, lush, and beautifully removed from the chaos of everyday life. The drive through the valley is breathtaking, and once you arrive, it’s all charm and calm. The garden setting is stunning, with birdsong and mountain views all around. The food is simple, fresh, and lovingly prepared — the kind that makes you slow down and truly savour each bite . The scones? Cloud-like. The tea? Poured by angels. The views? Peaceful, charming, and it feels like time forgot it in the best possible way. Go for the food, stay for the serenity, and leave already plotting your return. Five stars, zero hesitation — just don’t tell too many people, okay?

After a cold day hiking at Blue Mountains, visiting Megalong Valley Tearooms for a bite to eat and some hot tea was just what we needed! I visited the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre on a rainy day and I was pleasantly surprised by how much there was to see and do. The art gallery had some amazing exhibitions by local artists, and the interactive exhibition about the history and natural landscape of the Blue Mountains was very informative and engaging. They don't seem to have a car park. Business sign is hard to notice when driving pass. Nice gallery with community feel. I like black and white photos related to the pandemic. However, lady at desk in gallery room on Thursday doesn't reflect sense of community. No greeting or making eye contact with visitors. Ladies at reception desk are friendly though. Great panorama view at back of building makes our visit worthwhile. Disappointed with food in cafe. Split pea soup is salty. Homemade bread roll is nice though. Hot chocolate is fine. Menu seems to please vegetarians.

The semblance of things: portraits by Nick Stathopoulos; exhibition opened on Friday night 3 Feb 23. This selection of portraits covers a 30 year span of the artist’s work, and is beautifully curated by Rilka Oakley. In addition to the portraits, there are videos of Nick’s painting process, historically significant photographs and sketchbooks showing the artist’s preparatory ideas. It was especially interesting to see some of the subjects of the portraits moving about the exhibition. It added another level of realism to Stathopoulos’ photorealistic style. The evening was ably supported by violin and vocal virtuoso Maizy Coombes, performing in the foyer at the gallery entrance. Maizy uses looping to layer violin and vocal harmonies; in order to create often syncopated polyrhythms and complex tonal structures. A magnificent evening, and the exhibition is a must see. Artist Talk with Nick Stathopoulos Sat 4 Feb 11am-12pm: For a man who purports to shy away from crowds, Nick’s address to an admiring audience was anything but subdued; in fact it was a compelling, highly engaging and regularly amusing oratory. Maybe he was buoyed by an obviously adoring audience; and let’s face it, who doesn’t love to be adored. Stathopoulos guided us on his Archibald journey, from his first portrait of “Mr Squiggle”, through a matrix of subjects (models), seemingly ordered more by serendipity and happenstance, than considered logic. From standing in a queue with David Stratton, to having the man with the red beard gazing in his studio window. Every portrait has its own, most-often complex history. Mr Squiggle was completed in 3 days to meet a deadline, despite a freshly implanted stint. By contrast Deng took 5 months. It appears there’s no formula to creativity. I don’t know if Nick’s talk was recorded; for others to share and appreciate, but I will check.

I went here yesterday and I found it less than impressive all that was here was a couple of art displays which you had to pay to see and the few art sculptures pretty ordinary HISTORY In 1919 the site established the Katoomba School District bringing secondary education to the upper mountain area. There were 61 children enrolled that year. During the depression in the 1930's enrolments declined as children left school to help support their struggling family. Then between 1930's-1950's a new site was sought as the enrollments increased. In 1962 the new Katoomba High School was opened. The Cultural centre was opened on the 17th November 2012.

A beautiful art gallery, cafe, exhibition and events space, viewing platform, and public library all in one. I’ve visited several times to see different exhibitions in the gallery, and each one has been of very high quality - very well curated and with artworks sourced from a wide range of institutions and galleries, and entry prices are reasonable. Definitely worth visiting when in Katoomba for a day trip or weekend away. The Wollemi Artisan Markets held at the Centre have also been wonderful, really showcase a wide range of goods - hopefully these can return post-COVID!

Campbell Rhododendron Gardens, located in Bacchante Street Blackheath NSW, is an 18.3-hectare area where exotic plants flourish amidst Australian native bushland. The gardens are best experienced from late-September to mid-November when the Rhododendrons and Azaleas are in full bloom, with beautiful autumn colors also on display. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks through winding paths, fern glades, and native flowers.
Absolutely stunning gardens! A peaceful escape with beautiful walking trails surrounded by vibrant rhododendrons and native bushland. It’s a perfect spot for nature lovers, photographers, or anyone looking to relax and unwind. The seasonal colors are breathtaking, especially in spring. There’s plenty of birdlife and shaded areas to sit and enjoy a picnic. Well-maintained and free to enter, though donations are appreciated. A true hidden gem in the Blue Mountains—highly recommended!

A must-visit, especially during the blooming season. It’s a quiet and beautiful place, perfect for a peaceful walk. There’s a café with a stunning view of the garden where you can enjoy delicious drinks and have a lovely chat with friends. The variety of flowering shrubs and trees creates unforgettable impressions.

An interesting and unique garden with exotics planted amongst the existing native eucalyptus trees and shrubs over 18 hectares. It is on uneven terraced terrain with ponds, lake, garden bridges, and lots of rhododendron, azaleas and others. Plenty of walking tracks with native birds and small animals. Facilities include toilets, picnic benches and shelters, parking. While free to enter, donations are invited for maintenance which is done by a local society. Very popular especially in spring when there are plenty of blooms. Lots of tourists and locals in spring. Fair bit of walking on uneven terrain around under shade mainly. You can spend several hours here depending on your interests. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Beautiful place. Lots to see. Parking is easy during off peak times. There's a great cafe with lovely menu on offer.

We visited the garden today with a big family and had a great experience. The entry fee was $5 per person, and kids entered for free. It was definitely worth visiting—whether you live around Katoomba or are stopping by after exploring the Blue Mountains. It was a very busy Sunday afternoon, but the atmosphere was lovely. The flowers were in full bloom, and the vibrant colours of the rhododendrons were simply amazing to see. The small lake and plenty of seating areas were a nice bonus, making it a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy the scenery. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. The only downside was that the bins in the toilets were full, the floor was quite wet, and there was a strong odour in the men’s toilet—perhaps because it was close to closing time. Still, that’s something that could easily be improved.

The Rhododendron Gardens in Blackheath are absolutely stunning! A peaceful place to wander with breathtaking views, vibrant flowers, and plenty of space to relax. A must-visit in the Blue Mountains, especially during bloom season.
Daria S — Google review
The vibrant colors of the rhododendrons created a breathtaking panorama before my eyes. Each blossom seemed to radiate a unique hue, from deep crimson to soft pastel shades. Wandering through the garden paths, the sweet fragrance of the flowers filled the air, making the experience more memorable. It was truly a delightful visit. I would recommend this garden to anyone looking for a moment of peace and natural beauty.
Sobit S — Google review
When I visited in the last week of October, there weren’t many flowers in bloom — it seemed like the second week would’ve been the perfect time to see them in full bloom. However, it was still wonderful to take a walk while listening to the birds singing, just like in a fairy tale. The $5 donation was very reasonable, and the café was lovely — the scones were great, and it was the perfect place to enjoy a nice tea time.
Jinny ( — Google review
Amazing garden with great views - it's a full sensory experience. See the incredible blooms as their fragrance hits your nostrils while the gentle wind brushes over your face as you hear a lyre bird in the bush. Oh, and I did some of this while stuffing my face with a homemade lemon cake and a cuppa - the volunteers run a tea shop complete with a verandah overlooking the garden. AMAZING.

Wonderful vantage point for the three sisters and Jamison valley. Usually filled with visitors but still a great place to visit especially at sunrise. Points of Interest & Landmarks
Echo Point Lookout, also known as Three Sisters, is a must-see attraction in the Blue Mountains. The legend of the landmark tells the story of three sisters turned into rock to protect them from tribal war. Despite being busy, it offers unique and stunning views of the Three Sisters rock formations, valleys, and canyons.
First Impressions & Scenery Echo Point is one of those places that really lives up to the hype. From the lookout you get jaw-dropping views of the Three Sisters — three sandstone rock formations rising from the cliffs, set against the vast sweep of the Jamison Valley. Especially at sunrise or sunset, the light plays beautifully on the cliffs and valley, giving dramatic hues. On clear days the panorama is exceptional. --- Accessibility & Amenities The lookout is very accessible. It’s easy to get to by car or public transport (train + bus from Katoomba) without needing a big hike just to see the view. There are good visitor facilities: an information centre, restrooms, cafés/snacks near the site. There are multiple platforms and viewing points at different levels, so even if one spot is crowded, you can often find a slightly quieter vantage. --- The Walks & Related Experiences If you’ve got time, there are several walks starting or connecting through Echo Point: The Three Sisters Walk: relatively short, family‐friendly, gives a closer perspective of the rock formation. Prince Henry Cliff Walk: more extensive, scenic, passes many lookouts. Giant Stairway: more strenuous, descending into the valley (and rising back). Good for more energetic visitors. --- What’s Great Iconic views — this place is one of Australia’s classic outlooks. If you're visiting the Blue Mountains, this is sort of “must-see.” Very manageable — you don’t have to be super fit to enjoy big parts of it. Great for casual visitors, families, day-trippers. Good infrastructure — viewing platforms, visitor centre etc make it comfortable. Atmosphere — when it’s clear, and especially early morning or later afternoon, the sense of scale, mist, light, the eucalyptus forest below, the vast valley — it all works together.
Dhritiman N — Google review
A soul-stirring experience at Echo Point! Echo Point is simply breathtaking — and if you venture just a little away from the main lookout, it becomes magical. To the left, the Three Sisters Walk offers close-up views of these majestic rock formations and the endless blue horizon. To the right, the Lady Darley Viewpoint trail rewards you with peaceful, panoramic views — far from the crowds, where you can truly feel the stillness and grandeur of nature. It’s a place that humbles and uplifts at the same time. Take your time, breathe in the mountain air, and let the view remind you just how magnificent Allah’s creation is. 🌄✨
Hafizah O — Google review
Echo Point Lookout is absolutely stunning! The view of the Three Sisters and the surrounding Blue Mountains is breathtaking — especially when the mist rolls in. The weather was cool and refreshing when I visited, which made the experience even better. It’s a great spot to take photos, breathe in the mountain air, and just enjoy the view. There are also cafes and souvenir shops nearby. Definitely a must-visit in the Blue Mountains! 🌿⛰️💙

Following an invigorating trundle along the Prince Henry Cliff Walk, we found ourselves at the Echo Point Lookout. We were dropped off by the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus at Stop 9, then walked through to Echo Point. The walking trail was easy to navigate and could be completed at a leisurely pace. The scenic lookouts along the way of the Blue Mountains were well maintained and safe. Brilliant views of the mountains and valleys were had. Once at Echo Point, the crowds were evident, but not burdensome. The view of the The Sisters was spectacular. If one is able and fit enough, it is well worth the effort. Set aside a day of your holiday for this adventure walk.

Whether you're looking for picnic supplies for a hike or a hearty meal in a unique setting reminiscent of The Hobbit, Yellow Deli has something to offer.
A sublimely unique and wonderful place. Clean and calm with an exquisite rustic warm, natural timber decor and cosy wood fire, perfect for winter days. Lots of jarrah nooks for 1ppl to small groups. Ordered the Reuben which comes steaming hot. All ingredients are clean, fresh, full of flavour and complimentary in balance. Plus the Carrot cake which was divine. Beautifully rich, fresh and moist. Generous size and wonderfully fragrant with festive spices and thick creamy topping. Staff are polite and respectful. Everywhere you look you see more beautiful artistic decor (note little honey bee painting on timber). I love visiting this place whenever I visit the Blue Mountains. Not to be missed.

🍞✨ A Magical Hobbit Hole with Heart & The Best Sandwich Ever! From the moment I stepped into Yellow Deli, I felt like I’d wandered into a storybook—maybe even the Shire! 🧙♂️🍃 The charm is unreal: wooden beams, cozy nooks, soft lighting, and handcrafted details everywhere. I couldn’t stop taking photos! What makes this place even more special is the beautiful story behind it: Yellow Deli is run by a loving local community right here in Katoomba. You can feel the warmth and intention in everything they do—even the menu includes thoughtful Bible verses, which added such a peaceful and uplifting touch to our meal. 📖✨ The staff were unbelievably kind and patient—even when our group caused a little chaos by switching seats multiple times. 😅 They smiled through it all! Yes, the food took a bit longer than expected (I thought, “It’s just a sandwich, right?”)… but oh, was it worth the wait! The Brioche Beef Sandwich was honestly THE BEST SANDWICH I’ve ever eaten. Tender beef, soft brioche, perfect seasoning—pure heaven between two slices. 🥪💛 A truly magical experience from entrance to last bite. Can’t wait to return—with more friends (and more patience 😉). Highly recommend!

The food is homemade and delicious. The staff was very friendly. We really liked the unique tables inside. We would definitely go again. I loved the salad dressing on the garden salad. The melted cheese sandwich was on a butter flaky croissant. The roast beef was very good but didn't taste like a roast beef. Friendly and helpful.
Patricia P — Google review
The yellow deli restaurant and bakery shop is located near the Katoomba station and three sisters of blue mountain. The Yellow Deli chose its name because yellow symbolizes light, hope, and new beginnings. Yellow is the most luminous color, often associated with sunshine, happiness, and creativity. Drawing from the biblical story of creation—where light was the first solution to darkness—the founders see yellow as the color of that divine light. In 1973, amid societal struggles, they opened the first Yellow Deli in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as a beacon of hope and community. Rather than curse the darkness, they chose to “paint some yellow” and create a welcoming space. The Yellow Deli isn't just a restaurant—it's a response to the world's troubles, offering warmth, light, and a sense of purpose. A Vision for Community and Restoration In 1972, a group of passionate believers envisioned a welcoming space where people could find refuge, ask questions, and reflect on life’s deeper meaning. Inspired by Galatians 5:22 and the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, and more, they created the Yellow Deli, which opened in Chattanooga in 1973. Their motto: “We serve the fruit of the Spirit. Why not ask?” More Than a Deli—A Way of Life The Yellow Deli became a place of warmth and connection, not driven by marketing but by a desire to bring light and healing to their neighborhood. Over time, it expanded globally, supported by a communal lifestyle where members live and work together, echoing the early church described in Acts 2 and 4. ✝️ Living the First-Century Church Today They strive to emulate the unity and shared life of the original disciples, believing that communal living is not a relic of the past but a model for today’s believers. Their goal is to restore the spirit of togetherness and purpose that marked the early followers of Jesus.

Food so wholesome and flavourful, the decor is unique and quite an escape from the everyday grind with wistful folk music playing. Pumpkin soup with an artisan roll was just right for our appetite, we had the famous green drink and then cream cheese pie and carrot cake for dessert which could be easily shared if not too hungry.

Best cafe I've ever walked into and had the pleasure of being served food at. When you walk in, you are hit with an amazing aroma and light music which combined with the countryside, western natural style of the cafe, it feels like your taken back to simplier times. I had "The Green Drink" which was a fantastic drink (and i'm sure very healthy with all the fruits and vitamins that was in it). I also had The Bristol Fillet Sandwich, with the tomatoes being elegant, the sauce being on point and the salmon being perfectly cooked. I was served by Shoma, fantastic guy, as well as being friendly and welcoming. Although I am certain that all of the staff members are equally great. 5/5 stars hands down.

I felt like part of the family and will recommend your restaurant to anyone with ears haha! The food was phenomenal as well! Thank you!!!"

Went here for a High Tea! The amount of food you got was good and it was mostly yummy. Coffee was cold, and had to pay for an 8th person that couldn't come but was not given the food for the 8th person. You were given 2 drinks per each person and a selection of sweet and savoury.

This is our second time staying at the Fairmont Resort, and at Embers, and BOTH times, our highlight has been Karen and the service team and the kitchen. The service and food has been amazing. There was not one complaint about the service or food. Thank you so much for looking after us, and we will definitely be back.

Wonderful service, food, ambience and view from this restaurant. We were very lucky to celebrate here and enjoy the sunset and scenery from our window seats. Our waiter, Jack, was very professional and also very witty. Everything was delicious. I especially loved the fresh oysters. Thank you for the complimentary champagne to toast our anniversary with and for a memorable evening.

We had an unforgettable dinner at Embers Grill while celebrating my wife’s birthday. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect. When the staff came out with a cake and the whole restaurant joined in singing “Happy Birthday,” my wife was so touched she teared up. It was such a warm and genuine moment that made the evening incredibly special. The food was outstanding, and the setting is second to none sweeping views over the Blue Mountains and valley, especially magical as the light changed at sunset. We also enjoyed a local red wine that had a distinctive richness, likely thanks to the cooler climate of the region. All in all, this was more than just a meal – it’s a memory we’ll carry with us. Whenever we think of the Blue Mountains, Embers Grill will come to mind first. Highly recommended.

It is the combination of the food, service and atmosphere that make it a 5 star experience. The focaccia as an entree and anything on the Dessert menu is a must and the mains may be limited but each one a delight. The market fish is always good and the steak at the top of its game. Thankyou to Karen and the staff who gave us such a warm welcome. I keep coming back with my friends and family as never disappoints.

Chocolate shop
Nestled in the heart of Leura, Josophan's Fine Chocolates is a delightful family-run boutique that embodies the essence of this charming town. Founded by Jody, a true chocolate aficionado, this shop is not just about indulgence; it’s an experience for all chocolate lovers. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by stunning solid chocolate trees and exquisite bodice art that adorns the space.
Great customer service. The food is high quality. Obviously as a fine chocolate shop they are generally at a higher price point but there are quite a number of items available at a lower price range which is great. There are so many different things throughout the store, so there's even options for those who aren't chocolate lovers.

Very pretty and delightful artisan chocolate store in Leura. We got a selection of chocolates and loved the hazelnut. Expensive but what you’d expect from handmade chocolate delights. Beautiful gift items if you’re bringing something home.

Visiting the Blue Mountains without stopping by Josophan’s Fine Chocolate would be a real miss. On a freezing cold day, we felt invigorated by their high-quality Belgian hot chocolate. It was just what we needed to warm up and boost our energy. Walking around the store, we were impressed by the large selection and beautiful variety of chocolate products. They offer all kinds of chocolate, from white to dark to ruby, catering to every preference. Although I’m not usually a fan of chocolate, this place is an exception that I just had to try. My favourite is the custom handmade chocolates—they are so unique and beautifully crafted. The prices are incredibly reasonable. Eight years ago, a piece was $2.50 (if my memory serves me right), and now it’s only $2.60. It’s incredible that despite the cost-of-living crisis, they still maintain their quality without overcharging customers.

Read a number of good reviews for this place and thought of giving it a go. The shop is beautifully organised and they have a good selection of chocolate varieties available. The range of truffles attracted me that day. Staff was very patient in describing the various chocolate truffles they had. And it wss nice knowing that they tried to cater to different dietary needs like lactose free options. Would be interesting to see if they are able to extend to potential alternate sugar options as well. Tried 3 different types of chocolate truffles and enjoyed them. Had the mayan chilli, cafe noir, and orange truffle. They were very smooth and represented good distinct flavours. They were a bit on the sweeter side for me. Nevertheless, it is still enjoyable but in smaller amounts. They accept cash & card. They also have a section for drinks for takeaway and next to the main shop, the ice cream shop.

I'm big fan of this shop I love Sundae menus here But I'm very happy to pay extra if I can change to chocolate flavor instead of vanilla.l but they always say "No" 🥹🥹 You can up-sell and not too hard, mate

Absolutely loved Josophan’s! The chocolates were rich, smooth, and full of flavor — a real treat. The hot chocolate was perfectly creamy and indulgent. Highly recommend for anyone who loves quality chocolate!

Friendly staff had heaps of chocolate and turkish delight even. The smell of the chocolate inside smells so good. The ice cream shop was packed with people. Didn't get any but looked nice and heaps of people seem to be enjoying it. I ended up getting turkish delight and rocky road can't wait to try it. Hope it's just as good as it smells.

High and Wild Blue Mountains Adventure Tours, located in Katoomba, has been providing thrilling experiences for over 30 years. They offer a variety of activities such as canyoning, abseiling, rock climbing, and bush survival adventures suitable for all levels of thrill-seekers. Visitors can easily access the location by train from Central station. The tours include exciting activities like 'training abseiling' in dry conditions with epic views and a significant portion dedicated to canyoning.
I am so glad I did this! It was truly an amazing time! The staff was great. It was a little tricky to find, and when I went into the building, the door was closed (they were getting things ready), but aside from that, no issues once so ever. They were safe but funny. The staff has a good time with each other, so you know they enjoy what they do, but who wouldn’t. The canyon was beautiful. I was so bummed about the battery in my go pro dying. I haven’t looked at the footage, so I hope I was able to catch some of the beauty. Luckily, others had phones, so I can share the experience visually with people. I am a little bruised up, but I’m not the most graceful person. You have to try this if you like an adventure!

This was an amazing experience! Due to the weather, our original canyon trip had to be cancelled and Aiden went above and beyond to ensure that we had a phenomenal day. We spent the day abseiling and rock climbing with the hands down best tour guide, Brian. Thank you Brian for your patience and constant reassurance. With your guidance, we went above and beyond what we thought was possible and faced some really big fears. We will be booking again!

Ben and the team at High N Wild were awesome. They were extremely knowledgeable and humorous. At no time did I feel unsafe during the abseiling or canyoning. Embark on a vibrant journey through the Katoomba Street Art Walk, a community-driven initiative that showcases an impressive array of murals and artworks. This collaboration between Street Art Murals Australia, the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, and the University of Western Sydney has transformed the Beverly Place precinct into a canvas for talented street artists from both Australia and around the globe.
What a great surprise! Nicely painted and so easy to reach!

It was my first visit to the Katoomba Street Art Walk and totally loved it. The street art was very tasteful & full of expression. Reminds me of the street art in Melbourne but more organised & less of street tagging. Love the fact that they art work wasnt destroyed with overlay of other works or street tagging. Some key notes: - It is easy access from Katoomba Street as one of the parallel lane ways - As it is still a road with moving traffic, always do keep a lookout to remain safe. - Whilst you can view the street art, there are some areas where they may be directly above a private property segment. So do keep in mind not to trespass. Would love to see more artworks getting refreshed so that future visits will always have new exciting ones to discover.

Hotel
Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains - MGallery Collection is an upscale resort nestled in the Blue Mountains, offering stunning mountain views and a range of amenities. The resort features three restaurants, including a fine dining option and casual Italian fare. Guests can relax at the on-site spa or take a dip in the indoor and outdoor pools. Additionally, there are plenty of activities available such as horse riding, ice skating, and a dedicated kids zone.
Located few kilometres away from Leura make a vehicle a must if you want to experience the beautiful Blue Mountains. The Resort is lovely and sprawls over several acres with lovely views over the Jamieson Valley and bushland. Rooms are well appointed and beds comfortable, although some features are beginning to show their age a little. Staff are axcellent and very friendly and helpful. The restaurant, Embers, is very good with plenty of variety in their menu and a magnificent view through roof high windows. Breakfast is a real treat with great choices. Overall an excellent stay and highly recommended.

We stayed for six nights and really enjoyed the excellent breakfast and warm welcome from the team. The hotel is very family-friendly, with lots of young children around, making it ideal for families. However, housekeeping could be more consistent — we had to follow up several times before our requests were attended to, and bedsheets were only changed after raising the issue. I even gave a cleaner a $20 tip hoping for better service, but unfortunately, the attention to detail didn’t improve. Overall, great hospitality and breakfast, but room service standards need improvement.
L M — Google review
Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains – A Decent Stay but Not Quite the Fairmont Standard I Remember We stayed at Fairmont Blue Mountains last October 13–14, booking the same day after a long hike too tired to drive back to Sydney. We checked in around 3 pm. We chose Fairmont because of the brand’s reputation and my familiarity with it — I used to work for Fairmont San Jose back in 2018, and We have stayed in other Fairmont properties across the U.S., so we know the quality that comes with the name. Overall, our stay was okay, mainly because of some great customer service. The front desk team were polite and accommodating, and I really want to highlight the Filipino staff in the buffet station—very friendly and warm, which added a nice personal touch to our experience. However, a few details fell short of the Fairmont standard we expected. We requested a room with a nice view (as it was our first time in the Blue Mountains), but unfortunately, the view wasn’t quite what we hoped for. The room itself was fine, but lacking in small comforts — no slippers, toothbrush, or laundry bags; no minibar items to purchase; and no bin liners, which felt a bit unsanitary. It also wasn’t clear which towel was meant as a foot rug. At the breakfast buffet, the service was again great, but the food quality and variety could be improved. The beef sausage didn’t taste quite right, and the omelette was overly milky more like custard than eggs. I don’t mind paying a higher price for breakfast (even $38 or more), but it would be nice to see more variety and consistent quality in the food offerings for a 4-star property. All in all, Fairmont Blue Mountains delivered solid hospitality and warm service, but there’s definitely room for improvement in the finer details to live up to the Fairmont name I’ve known and trusted.

This property remains one of the most child-friendly hotels in Sydney, offering an experience that feels almost like a cruise ship on land. The range of facilities is outstanding—cinema, pool, kids’ activities, play centre, tennis and basketball courts, stables, gym, sauna, golf course, and even slides and inflatables for children. It’s a true family playground. On arrival, however, our room was missing basic amenities such as towels, and the body wash and shampoo bottles were empty. While this may be due to the busy school holiday period, it was a noticeable lapse in preparation. The service from staff was a highlight. The lady at the breakfast reception on 7 October 2025 at 10am, originally from Indonesia, was exceptionally warm and welcoming. I regret not asking her name. Additionally, Karen, the manager at Embers, deserves recognition for her professionalism and attentiveness. Breakfast quality has declined compared to my last visit in 2021. While the Diamond/Platinum area makes it easier to find a table during peak times, the food itself was underwhelming. That said, the complimentary minibar was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Overall, this hotel continues to impress with its extraordinary range of family-oriented facilities and dedicated staff, though improvements in room readiness and breakfast quality would elevate the experience further. Also thank you for the duck stuff toys for my kids.
Louis ( — Google review
Overall Impression: The staff members at the front desk always tried to smile and do their best to provide sincere service, and I truly appreciated that. However, I still strongly felt the need for renovation throughout the property. Considering that this hotel is part of a global tourism brand and carries the Fairmont name—one of the highest tiers within the ALL Accor group—I believe it is essential to have facilities like an executive lounge, as well as differentiated services for loyal premium-tier guests. By doing so, the hotel could minimize direct contact between different guest segments and prevent uncomfortable situations before they happen. This property is not just for local visitors; even locals come here for special occasions or parties. Therefore, if the hotel wants to maintain a luxury image, it must provide higher-level service specifically tailored to international guests and premium-tier loyal customers. This issue was not limited to the Blue Mountains property. During the four days of our trip, we stayed at several hotels in Australia, and in every case, the VIP service was noticeably weaker than the service offered by the same hotel brands in other countries. I believe hotel brands operating in Australia need to seriously reflect on this. I’m still not entirely sure whether the difference in service was due to outdated racial attitudes—because my family is East Asian—or because the hotel failed to prepare properly by understanding guest profiles in advance. Either way, I think there needs to be a fundamental rethink of how guests are approached and treated. If it weren’t for the scenery, the natural environment, and the fresh air—which are undeniably valuable assets in the property business—I would have rated this stay as a 1 out of 5. However, the landscape and surrounding content are truly beautiful, and because of that I would give the overall experience around 3.5 points.

I was very impressed with the professionalism and kindness of the hotel staff, especially Sim at the front desk. I had misplaced my sunglasses and thought I might have left them somewhere outside the hotel. Even so, Sim was very dedicated and helped me check around the hotel and contact other departments to assist in finding them. In the end, I found the sunglasses outside by myself, but I truly appreciate Sim’s helpful attitude and genuine care. Her thoughtfulness left a wonderful impression on my stay. Thank you to the hotel for having such attentive and caring staff! I also really appreciate how flexible the staff were when helping me change my room. I accidentally booked a room without a bathtub, and the front desk kindly helped me switch to one with a bathtub for just $10 extra per night — very reasonable and smooth! The only small disappointment was that I requested room slippers (thongs) when I first checked in, but they were never delivered during my stay. Other than that, everything was great and I truly appreciate the helpful service, especially from Sim at the front desk. 🌟

Just got back from a weekend stay with a group of 10, including 5 kids aged 2-9. Pros: Rooms were clean. Service everywhere was fantastic- friendly and efficient. The resort caters exceptionally well for kids with a range of pools, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, arcade games, ice skating, slide and train ride (didn't do either of these). Location is fabulous, close proximity to Leura and Katoomba. Cons: Very dated everywhere and in desperate need of a refurbishment. Cracks in the paint, decor and furniture all very old. Food was disappointing and expensive. Bistro was great, but the Italian restaurant was a let down. Paid $39 for a prawn pasta with a few unpeeled prawns and the pasta was underseasoned and just tasted bland. Breakfast buffet was also of poor quality and variety- think powdery slushy scrambled eggs and unseasoned tomatoes and mushrooms. Very limited variety and you could get a better tasting breakfast at Maccas.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently stayed at the Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains with two rooms, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The resort setting is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for families. We loved the pool, arcade, and pool table, and the staff were exceptional — friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The dining options were impressive: Embers Grill had fantastic dishes and service, Azzure offered a great casual vibe, and the wood-fired pizza was simply excellent — crisp, smoky, and full of flavour. Breakfast was good but could use a bit more variety. The Ubika Spa was next level — one of the best spa experiences we’ve ever had. We also picked up several iKOU products from their gift shop, which turned out to be perfect gifts and reminders of a great trip. Everything about the stay — from the rooms to the hospitality — was top-notch. We’ll definitely be back. — Gurinder Singh

Located in the Blue Mountains town of Katoomba, the Scenic Skyway is a must-visit attraction offering breathtaking views and thrilling experiences. This glass-floor cable car takes visitors on a 720-meter journey across two cliff tops, suspended 270 meters above ancient ravines. The electro-glass cabin floor provides unique and awe-inspiring views beneath your feet as you glide over the Jamison Valley.
We took some family that were visiting from overseas here, they had the best time and got to see the three sisters up close. There’s a cafe inside if you wanted to grab a coffee or some food. I’ll train down the cave was our favourite. If you come during the light show and booking the nocturnal bookings you can see beautiful lights with some music and strobes. It’s worth a visit.

Went in the winter. Very cold day but wonderful experience! Take all three — 2 trams and railway. On the first one over the large gorge, waterfalls on the right side not to miss. Left side same as three sisters view from other location on other side of gorge. Tram 2 just ok if you’ve already seen a lot of the views but it takes you back to the entrance. Railway is Super fun sort of like a rollercoaster, take it with the trams combo. It used to being coal up from the mine. All worthwhile to see more of the gorgeous blue mountains. I took a Viator tour with Andersons tours and highly recommend. Made it so much easier and went to all locations. After taking the railway, take the path through the rain forest unique for that area, and learn about the mine.

The Scenic Skyway is a popular cable car experience located in the **Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia**. Suspended high above the Jamison Valley, it offers passengers a breathtaking, panoramic view of some of the region’s most iconic natural landmarks, including the Three Sisters rock formation, Katoomba Falls, and the expansive rainforest canopy below. What sets the Scenic Skyway apart is its fully enclosed glass cabin with a transparent floor, providing a thrilling sensation of floating mid-air at a height of approximately 270 meters (885 feet) above the valley floor. The journey spans 720 meters (2,362 feet), traveling between Skyway East Station near Echo Point and the West Station at Scenic World, allowing visitors to witness the dramatic cliffs and waterfalls from a unique perspective. The ride lasts just a few minutes but delivers an unforgettable visual experience that highlights the geological beauty and natural wonder of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. It is suitable for people of all ages and is wheelchair accessible, making it a family-friendly attraction. In addition to the visual spectacle, the Scenic Skyway provides educational commentary on the region’s natural history and Indigenous heritage. The attraction operates year-round and is a part of Scenic World, which also includes the Scenic Railway, Scenic Cableway, and Scenic Walkway—all designed to offer immersive access to the area's stunning wilderness. The Scenic Skyway is not just a ride; it’s a sky-high window into the raw, majestic beauty of one of Australia’s most iconic landscapes.

That was such an awesome ride for me! The train ride is the second best. The scenes are absolutely great. You'll even get to see the Kutumba fall along the way. It's truly worth it. I heard they're planning to add a see-through glass bottom, and then it will be even greater. After the ride, you can walk to an area where there's a nice viewpoint, just a minute's walk away. I've done that ride multiple times, and I guarantee you'll love it.

The area is popular for rock climbing and provides smaller-scale waterfalls surrounded by ferns and sandstone overhangs. Additionally, the stables offer horseback rides through open paddocks, natural bushland, and mountainside trails with fantastic views of the Blue Mountains escarpments.
This was so lovely. We booked a sunset ride, Jim the owner so kindly changed the booking to a better weather day for us. The ride was lovely, my horse Ace was very cheeky ha ha lovely ride and beautiful location. Bit of a drive down to the stables but it's a stunning location and totally worth it.

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. I took my daughter here yesterday for her 7th birthday to have a 30 minute lead pony ride with my 9 year old son. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, the horses looked well loved and the setting was gorgeous! My husband and I were able to walk alongside the kids whilst they were led by lovely ladies with plenty of photo opportunities. The volunteers who were working there also seemed thrilled with the experience they were having. Jim the owner was at the heart of the place - you could see his love for what he does and the care for his staff. We will definitely be back!

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience here. We have done a few treks and my daughter said this trek was the one she felt most safest and confident on. This is a great setup with a barn which is nice and cool for the horses. The horses are very well looked after and very quiet. The scenery was beautiful plus we saw lots of kangaroos. Our guides Jim and Leika (sorry if you see this review and I've spelt your name wrong) were wonderful... very friendly and chatty. As were all the other ladies working there. Highly recommend.

Amazing views you can't get anywhere else and on horse back nonetheless! The guides there make sure you ride within your level and assure you are comfortable throughout the ride. They all know what they're doing so don't be afraid to talk to them and listen! Absolutely loved Danny as our guide! Their horses all have distinct personalities and are used to beginners too. Treat these people (and horses) well, they frickin deserve it! Would come back over and over again for the experience, an absolute must for visiting Australia!

As a non horse rider I was a bit scared before going, but once I was there I felt completely relaxed and safe. The people guiding us were incredibly friendly and helpful. The horses are well trained and riding them is not complicated at all and they know the course well so I didn’t have to struggle with guiding them. In our group of 8 we had 2 guides riding with us and the 1 hour ride is definitely recommended and worth it. The view was so beautiful and we even rode past cows from the neighbouring farm. It is great for all ages.

I had a wonderful experience doing a 1h bushland trail ride a few days ago. A small group of us (7) were led by 2 guides - Jim the owner and Megs. They were very professional and taught us the basics and allowed to settle in and get comfortable before we got started. I was a little nervous and Megs kindly offered to have the lead rope on my horse till I was comfortable. Eventually, I had a really fun time with my horse Bobby. He is incredibly well-mannered, calm and did not get spooked easily. He does really well with mud as well and does not mind it at all :) All the horses looked well taken care of - I could not see a strand of hair that was loose on Bobby :) Oh and they also made sure the helmet, stirrups and saddle fit well on you before starting the ride. It was so safe and enjoyable. Would go back again!!!!

Scenic Railway, located in the Blue Mountains town of Katoomba, is renowned as the steepest passenger railway globally. Originally built in the late 1800s, it has evolved into an exhilarating tourist attraction. With a 52-degree incline, visitors can control the speed for a thrilling rollercoaster-like ride or a more relaxed journey.
I really love it, aI tried for 4 times. It's truly worth it. The day pass we're purchasing for $60 allows us to enjoy these rides as many times as we want for the entire day. Each ride lasts only 2 minutes. Be sure to head to the front seats. They're the best. Just a friendly tip: if you find yourself in the middle of the line, skip that turn, let others go ahead, and you'll be first in line for the next ride.

It was a rainy night, but we were lucky enough not to have any rain whilst we were there. The haolgraphic images were delightful! I'd thoroughly recommend the experience should you have the opportunity to visit during this time.

Scenic World is an absolute must-visit attraction in the Blue Mountains, especially for first-time visitors. To make the most of the experience, it’s highly recommended to arrive early in the morning before the crowds build up. The site offers several exciting sections and rides: Scenic Skyway: A cable car that glides high across the Jamison Valley, offering breathtaking views of the cliffs, rainforest, and waterfalls. Scenic Railway: Known as the steepest passenger railway in the world, this thrilling ride takes you down into the valley. At the bottom, you can enjoy a scenic walkway through lush rainforest, where you’ll find historic mining artifacts along the trail. Scenic Cableway: A large cabin that gently descends into the valley, perfect for those who prefer a more relaxed ride. Scenic Walkway: An easy boardwalk through the ancient forest with interpretive signs and history. For a break, the café overlooks the Three Sisters, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal or coffee with an iconic view.

If you're visiting Blue Mountains, Katoomba, a visit to Scenic World is a must. This unique and historic attraction boasts a steep 52-degree angle. Its historic location dates back to 1848, when it was used for mining and served the public for recreational purposes since 1945.

The Scenic Railway was such a cute and fun experience! It felt like being on a little mountain roller coaster — short but full of excitement and beautiful forest views. The cool breeze and mist made everything feel magical. I couldn’t stop smiling the whole ride! 🌿✨

Personally felt that this was not only the most thrilling but also the most aesthetically pleasing ride! If I were to come back here, this is something I wouldn’t want to miss out of all the different Ways! The whole climb up or down is only 2 minutes, but it was an exciting 2 minutes! Worth it!

Train station
Nestled in the heart of Leura, near the bustling Leura Mall and the Great Western Highway, lies Leura Station. This major train station is located at an elevation of about 1000 meters above sea level in the charming town of Leura, adjacent to Katoomba. The station offers punctual train services connecting the area with Sydney's city center. Visitors can expect friendly staff and picturesque views from the platform, while a heated waiting room provides comfort during winter.
Leura railway station is located on the Main Western line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the Blue Mountains town of Leura. Leura has one island platform with two sides. It is serviced by NSW TrainLink Blue Mountains Line services between Sydney Central and Lithgow.

Mehrnoosh S — Google review
The Leura Station is a major train station in the Blue Mountains area, as it stands at about 1000 metres above sea level and is situated in the small town of Leura, right next to the major neighbouring town of Katoomba and the Great Western Highway, with trains arriving and departing here fairly punctually via several train lines between the area and the city centre of Sydney. As the town acts as a smaller, but important, access point to the Blue Mountains National Park, the Station is kept clean with well-maintained facilities. The staffs stationed here are also quite helpful and friendly to help, if you need any, and the general environment of the Station is quite a quiet one, with a local neighbourhood around it surrounded by the Blue Mountains National Park. Its country style of architecture also blends well into the vibes of the area, just like its neighbouring Katoomba Station with some distinctions between the two, and the directories in it are also clearly marked to ease your navigation through the Station.

Leura is a very beautiful town just off from the highway heading towards Sydney. Best town to stop for a coffee and some thing to eat, the service is great too and the people are so friendly. the best part it is so full of life. Very beatiful.

Leura is a small town before Katoomba. Small but very beautiful. There are many stores with distinctive features. It's worthy of visiting. If you will go to Blue Mt, I recommend to stay here and relax.

The tour of cable car is overrated! Use the cable car to see this national park is totally not enough…If you want to come here, strongly recommend take a walk in any route inside the national park to see its true beauty.

Cahill's Lookout, located just a few minutes away from the popular Three Sisters Lookout in the Blue Mountains region, offers a stunning vista of the Megalong Valley and Narrow Neck Peninsula. Named after Honourable J.J. Cahill MLA, this lookout provides a quieter alternative to the more crowded tourist spots in Katoomba. Visitors can enjoy picnicking while taking in the spectacular sunset views over the valley from this peaceful vantage point. Despite being only 1.
I love this lookout. One of my favourite in blue mountains. I have been there a frw times now and find it less busy than the echo point and so much more peaceful. Highly recommend. Also great place for photos. The views are so tranquil.

Breathtaking morning views! Arrived at 10AM to clear skies and the most unique rock formations I’ve seen in the Blue Mountains (I am sure there are more). The vantage points are amazing—perfect for photographers or anyone craving quiet awe. Few crowds, just raw beauty. A must-visit for sunrise or sunset but i have heard that it gets crowdy for sunset!
Sudeep S — Google review
I was fortunate to visit this stunning location on a bright, sunny day. However, the wind was quite strong, creating a howling chorus that echoed all around me. In such conditions, I strongly recommend holding onto your phone firmly; once it slips from your grasp, it’s nearly impossible to retrieve it in this rugged environment. Wearing comfortable shoes is essential for exploring the terrain. Additionally, consider bringing an extra jacket, as the chilly gusts can catch you off guard and make the experience much more enjoyable.
Miao M — Google review
The location offers an exceptional vantage point with a captivating scenic panorama. Furthermore, visitors may consider exploring nearby renowned lookouts, such as the Three Sisters Echo Point.

Such a great walk in blue mountain. Kid friendly with enough parking spots and phenomenal views with sunset experience. Highly recommend

This was the fifth place I visited in Blue Mountain. The views here are quite beautiful and relatively quiet. I think the sunset is especially beautiful.

Beautiful look out point. You can walk down to two viewing platforms to enjoy the views of the valley. If you are driving there then you can either pay and park at look out point or before the look out point on the side of the road.
Haaris A — Google review
Great views away from the crowds, worth the short walk from the car despite the freezing wind up the valley. Includes views to Boars Head.
