Nestled on South McCarran Boulevard, Wet Hen Cafe is a delightful family-run eatery that exudes warmth and charm. This cozy spot specializes in light breakfast and lunch options, featuring an array of homemade delights like freshly baked breads, cookies, and sweets. Guests can indulge in classic dishes such as biscuits and gravy or the unique Wet Hen Benedict—a local favorite recommended by the owner himself. The atmosphere is inviting with a steady stream of satisfied customers enjoying their meals.
This was a cute little restaurant that is worth it’s reviews. We tried the Parisian omelette, biscuits and gravy, and the Lorraine Quiche. Also, the locally brewed coffee is very tasty. Everything was perfect. The staff is very friendly, and the decor is exactly what you would think it would look like being named Wet Hen Cafe. If I lived here, I would be a regular.

I found this cozy place during a random lunch errand on Wednesday, March 4th 2020. There was a nice flow of customers into and out of the restaurant. I had the good fortune of having the owner take my order and he suggested his favorite menu item: the Wet Hen Benedict. Service was very quick and the plays came well presented with delicious take on the traditional eggs Benedict. Good food, nice place, fast and friendly service. I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu.

The only reason I didn't give the 5, because it's little bit pricey. For a late and 2 eggs 1 small sausage 2 bacon 🥓 almost 20 dollars. Very friendly welcoming and they seem to care about you and if you enjoy the meal.I would come back any time am in town
Lam A — Google review
Nice establishment for quick, friendly, and good food. Me and my wife ordered the Pig,Pancakes, and Eggs which overall was good. The pancakes were slightly dry and not fluffy but the rest of the dish was great. Their customer service is friendly and welcoming from start to finish. If you are looking for a slight hole in the wall cafe experience this is a good spot for that.
Shaun T — Google review
Immediately upon entering this cozy nook I was greeted with a smile and the question of take out (where you'd be directed to comfy looking chairs after ordering) or dine in and a number is placed on a table for you before ordering. The menu ranges from breakfast to lunch: omelettes, quiche, sandwiches, soups, and salads. Artistic menu names, in house baked goods, and even more smiles and laughter behind the counter. The sandwiches were delicious, the clam chowder thick and warm on a sunny wintry day, and the oatmeal cranberry white chocolate cookie very tasty. We look forward to going back and trying the quiche soon.

We are lucky to live close to the Wet Hen Cafe. It is one of our favorite places to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is amazing and friendly. The food is excellent with a wide variety of specialty creations. I recommend you give it a try. You won’t be sorry.

Wow, the food was delish! I had the gobbler sandwich and the Turkey was REAL turkey, not the sliced stacked store bought regular stuff. Did I say it tasted great!? Great folks making fantastic food. I *will* be back for more!

Peg's might be the popular "go to" spot (and with good reason), but I liked this charming brunch spot. Stopped by here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. You first order at the cashier, and then find a seat. I tried the Wet Hen Eggs Benedict, which is two eggs over medium and ham on top of two English muffins and covered with hollandaise. The dish comes with home style potatoes. The eggs were to perfection, the English muffins were nice and soft (though not mushy), and the hollandaise was a good complement. I also liked the home style potatoes, which had a nice and decent crisp to them. Service at the cashier and at the table was friendly. I had some questions for the cashier, and he was able to guide me in picking a menu item that I might like (which I did). I think I counted about ten tables inside, plus a bar seating area (which faces out the front window and has about three high chairs). Even though there was a steady stream of customers, I did not have to wait to find a seat. Parking is plentiful as well. If in the Reno area again anytime soon, I would be glad to try another dish from this place.

Bar & grill
American restaurant
Bar
Wild River Grille is a modern restaurant located in the historic Riverside Hotel, offering a variety of American dishes and cocktails. Situated on Virginia Street by the Truckee River, this family-owned establishment has been serving the Reno area for 12 years. With quick service and minimal wait times, it's an ideal spot for a business lunch. The large patio overlooking the river provides a serene setting during summer, often featuring live band performances.
This place is incredible. It’s not cheap but I felt it was the biggest bang for my buck, so I came here every night for dinner during my 3 night work trip. Night One - Elk Medallions Night two - Double Cut Pork Chop Night Tre - Wedge Salad and Pork Belly All were glorious! The service and atmosphere are precise. All 3 separate servers were excellent, attentive. It’s a trend of a healthy environment in my opinion. Live music outside that’s light and easy going. I can’t believe people have provided less than perfect ratings. 4.4 doesn’t reflect where they belong on the 5.0 spectrum. That’s said…Don’t come here. I don’t want you to increase my wait time.

I made a reservation, and then day of they called me to confirm...which I appreciated. Showed up a little early and was still able to be seated quickly (sat inside but there is an outdoor seating option). I didn't order any appetizers, just a main dish with water. I got the spicy shrimp pasta with garlic bread. It's pretty good but I thought it was on the mild side. But then again, I eat ghost peppers once in a while so I'm used to hot stuff. Definitely a place worth checking out.

Lovely experience at Wild River Grille. Service was wonderful, food was divine, cocktails were delicious! Cute place with outdoor and indoor seating. The location is on the river front, but you cannot see the river from the inside dinning, possible views from the outside patio. However, we walked along the Riverwalk after dining and that was lovely. Would definitely come back.

The food was amazing and worth the wait. My husband had the ribeye steak which was melt in mouth deliciousness. I had the house special halibut and that was flaky, moist, and fresh. Scallop appetizer was amazing and a shame there’s only 3. But they were a good medium size. A cute little restaurant to walk to in the heart of downtown next to the river.

Got seated right away for a party of 2. Food was good, I ordered the spicy shrimp pasta and my husband got the mahi-mahi. We also ordered the mussels as appetizer and some drinks. Overall, the the whole experience is good, atmosphere is chill. The outdoor sitting can get crowded and the space is kinda tight. I would suggest if you have a big group to call ahead and get a reservation.

I have seen this restaurant for years, but I've never tried it until now. Why? This place was delicious! Pictured is a White sangria and the bread pudding. Divine. We ordered the caprese for an appetizer (nut free pesto!) main dishes, the chicken piccata and braised short rib. Service was. Great, the vibes were there. I'd love to go back in warmer weather and sit on the patio!

Celebrated my Birthday 🎊🎁🍻🎉here this year. This place has amazing customer service from the hostess’s & our waiter Cierra. She was very helpful and knowledgeable on their menu and recommended excellent dishes all the way down to dessert 🍰🎂🧁. Give them a try if you haven’t already. You won’t be disappointed and the outside atmosphere was so beautiful 😍.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a dinner with a large group in the private dining room at The Wild River Grill, situated on the RiverWalk in Downtown Reno. This contemporary restaurant, with its nature-inspired decor, full bar, and spacious riverside patio, is located in the historic Riverside Hotel building, right on the banks of the scenic Truckee River. While the restaurant has a unique ambiance, the culinary experience received varied feedback from our group of twenty, and the service, unfortunately, was somewhat inattentive, which was a bit disappointing.

Basque restaurant
Banquet hall
Family restaurant
Louis' Basque Corner is a historic restaurant in the American West, originally opened by Basque immigrants Louis and Lorraine Erreguible in 1967. Today, it continues to uphold Basque traditions with hearty family-style meals served around communal tables. The menu features traditional specialties such as paella, tongue, oxtails, steak, lamb, sweetbreads and organ meats served with vegetables and sauce.
Worth every penny! The wait staff was so friendly and attentive, they offered great suggestions when I wasnt sure what to order. The food was amazing! A 7 course dinner for under $50 (before tip) is a steal! I had so much food left over.
Bridget M — Google review
This place serves up excellent traditional style Basque food. I had the lamb chops and they were excellent. The meal came with delicious sides including soup, rice and chicken, salad, beans, French fries and red wine, along with your choice of dessert. I had cheese and grapes, washed down with a little bit of wine. The sides were outstanding—fries were warm and cut from fresh potatoes. The ambiance was fun—the place was packed. Make sure to call ahead and make a reservation. Service was great.
Robert L — Google review
We recently had a birthday dinner at Louis' with ten family members. Two of us ordered their 22oz ribeye special for $70 each. For that price we assumed we would be getting a Prime cut of beef. Fine marbling with a few larger strips of fat that could easily be trimmed. Instead, we both got cuts that were the worst we've ever been served in a restaurant. Large bands of fat running everywhere and the quality of the trimmed meat was barely satisfactory. I ate less than one quarter of my steak and took the remainder home. A day later I threw it on my grill and finished getting it to medium rare (a warm red center). After letting it stand for several minutes, I attempted to eat it. I've included a photo of the fat that had to be removed. The fat weighed 7 ounces! When you consider that some fraction of the melted fat would drip away and burn in the grill, this means the large trimmed pieces constituted 1/3 of the PRE-COOKED weight of the steak. There were other issues, such as the poor quality of the table wine, but those issues paled next to the steak issue. Also, my other son ordered a steak and didn't get it. That cost was removed from the bill and he instead had to eat their chicken and rice side dish. We will NEVER eat there again. It is not a value.
Dirk W — Google review
It is with a heavy heart that I leave a less than stellar review, 35 years in the making. *sigh* This restaurant in my family pre-dates my existence. We are Basque and the only time I've had Basque food is in the little town my family is from, Markina-Xemein. My aunt had her wedding reception here years ago and its been a regular post in my extended families Reno trips ever since. When I moved to Reno, I immediately became the envy of the family because I'd be close enough to have this delicious cuisine at my whim. Wanting my first time to be special, I waited 6 months until my father was able to make the trip to Reno. I locked in our reservations ahead of time. This is a family style restaurant in the most traditional sense, meaning that you are seated with strangers at the same table where you pass plates of food to one another. Great ambiance, great concept, loved it. The first course featured bread and a brightly flavored vegetable barley soup. My grandmother would have loved this soup! The second course was a tangy dressed simple salad alongside some bacon and leek beans as well as the spanish chicken with rice. The salad was much like the ones that are served at my aunt's house, the beans were so delicious and had such a wonderful depth in flavor. Ill discuss the chicken at the end of this review because I want to solely focus on the positive for now. Stay with me. We were also served some of the best French fries I have ever had! My dad had the rack of lamb which was to die for! The texture was perfect, the rosemary flavor was all through the meat, melted in your mouth. I cannot stress the mouthfeel, it can be really difficult to get lamb right. My fiance and I ordered the ox tails. Another amazing dish worth going back for, we joked about drinking the Bourgeois sauce it was served on. Dessert is optional which we did not indulge in so I have nothing to write about that. The reason I am rating the service two stars is because me and my fiance were served bloody chicken. When I quietly and kindly showed the waitress, the only thing she could ask was if it was ok to take our plates away. ....Uh, you don't need to be culinary trained and serve safe certified, like myself, to know you shouldn't eat off of a plate with raw chicken blood on it. Sorely disappointing in how she handled it though we still tipped a loving $45 in cash. What I would have liked to hear from her was an apology and offering a small discount. But no, she couldn't admit fault, she had no sense of customer satisfaction at all. Instead of going home and ruthlessly posting this review in anger, I reached out to the restaurant via their website hoping to discuss further before I posted photos of the bloody chicken they served us but here goes...after a week with no response... Desperately wanting to fall in love with this place as generations of my family have, I will give this place another shot sometime but we won't be having our wedding reception here.
Allison T — Google review
Imagine walking into a restaurant that feels more like a joyful family gathering than a formal dining experience. You’re seated with other guests at a long table, and soon you’re sharing laughter, stories, and, of course, an impressive spread of delicious food. Here, there’s no such thing as a ‘stranger’ – just friends you haven’t met yet. The meal starts with warm bread and butter, a crisp vinegar salad, and a comforting chicken rice dish that’s rich, buttery, and full of flavor from the marinated chicken. The chicken itself is tender and moist, falling right off the bone. Then comes a bowl of hearty soup with rice, carrots, and tender meat, bringing all the flavors of home. For my entrée, I chose the oxtail, and wow! It was something special – cooked to perfection with a balance of lean meat and luscious fat, all bathed in a savory broth that felt like a warm hug in every bite. To top it all off, dessert options were pure indulgence. I went for vanilla ice cream with chocolate drizzle, a simple but satisfying end to the meal. But if you want to go all out, they offer a blueberry cheesecake that’s light, creamy, and layered with a sweet-tart berry sauce that’s like fireworks in your mouth. And all this – every bite, every laugh, every shared smile – comes at the price of your chosen entrée. It’s an incredible deal, and an experience you won’t find anywhere else. This is a must-visit, 100% recommend!
Hanny P — Google review
The meal was pretty terrible. Basic food that may or may not have been cooked on site. The meat was pretty basic and not worth the price. The fries were decent, and we had good service, but I would not recommend this place
Ben W — Google review
Good things first! Service - quite attentive and kind. Pincon punch - first sip was a bit much. But after a minute or two (and adding some extra ice), it mellowed and opened allowing flavors to shine. Unique and a must try. Oxtail - slightly over-cooked in my opinion. But that's probably just me being fussy. I think most would enjoy the "fall off the bone" meat. Also, the sauce was wonderful. Great, rich flavor. Chef's kiss. Not so good things.. Wine - complimentary, which is a nice touch. Sadly, it was bad wine. :-/ Over oxidized, probably. But possibly cooked. It didn't smell right and poured an odd color. Flavor was definitely off. Disappointing, but it was free - so can't really complain. Beans - ever wondered what frontier-style beans were like? Yeah, like the ones in the old western movies. That was this. Not sure if that's necessarily a good thing. Fries - unseasoned and basic - likely purchased frozen in a big pack and then, for some reason, left unseasoned. If these are made here, big disappointment. Salad - past it's prime and fairly basic American style. A little off-color. I probably wouldn't have served this to guests, but.. yeah. Bread - basic American. I hope this isn't made here. If it is, another swing and a miss. Rabbit - cooked perfectly but the sauce didn't quite come together. There just wasn't any harmony here. Clean-up efforts - a little on the pushy side. Yeahh.. that's an understatement. Easily the most pushy I've experienced in my life. Efforts oscillated between somewhat annoying and incredibly aggravating. One person in particular - he was way too much. Way too aggressive with trying to move people along. Cheesecake - fruit compote topping was overly sweet and kinda garbagey. It seemed an afterthought. And I humbly suggest offering this as an option instead of serving it as the default. Frankly, the compote ought to come with a warning. I think it ruined the cheesecake 😕 Similarly, the ice cream was good quality. But why smother it in chocolate syrup? Sometimes simple and pure is the way to go.
Vox P — Google review
The service was excellent. The person next to us was tapping with their leg up and down. Making the plastic tap the rest of the guest. I asked the bartender if he can move us and He did without question. The rest of the servers were very attentive and on point. The only complaint I had about the food was the soup was a little cold. I really liked the wine and beans. Make sure you try beans and the salad at the same time. It's a basket tradition. I loved the lamb chops and the ribeye I was cooked perfectly. I would recommend ordering the cheese and fruit for dessert. The atmosphere was perfect and I love the family style dining. Thank you for representing the Reno community. Will be coming back often for many years to come.

Pizza restaurant
Noble Pie Parlor Midtown is a friendly gourmet pizzeria located in the historic El Cortez Hotel, offering delicious New York-style artisan oven-fired pizza made with fresh, local ingredients. In addition to their award-winning hot wings and unique strombolis, they also have an innovative brunch menu with a build-your-own bloody mary bar on weekends.
Very chill place. They had a live dj playing Electronica music. I had heard they had good wings so I decided to stop by and check it out. The wings are delicious and cooked perfect. I got burg style which is a Buffalo style with garlic and green onion garnish. They don't have any real spicy flavors which I normally get other places. I tend to stay away from Buffalo because it's very vinegar flavor but they changed from traditional Buffalo and it's is delicious and not super strong. I will definitely come again
Gregory C — Google review
The wings were definitely a different flavor, probably would of been better if deep fried. Loved the deep fried dough with garlic, highly recommended! The pizza was thin, the meat toppings were minimal but the jalapeños they really piled them on. Staff was nice.

How did we not know about this place? On a walk in midtown last night and came across Noble Pie. We were not very hungry so we each just bought a slice. "B" was behind the register and was super helpful & friendly as we each designed our own slice. We also bought the cinnamon knots. Food was brought out fast and all of it was delicious. Their pizza crust is killer and both slices were baked perfectly. Great atmosphere just chilling outside on picnic tables and enjoying the buzz of the place. Can't wait to go back when we are hungry. Thanks Noble and thank you "B"

Rachael absolutely blew us away with her recommendation for pizza! 🍕 From the very first bite, you can tell the staff puts so much care, passion, and creativity into what she makes. The crust was perfectly baked—crispy on the outside, soft and airy inside. The toppings were fresh, balanced, and packed with flavor, and the presentation was just as impressive as the taste. It wasn’t just pizza—it was an experience. You could feel the love and dedication Rachael put into every detail, and it truly made our meal special. She went above and beyond, and it’s rare to find someone who delivers both quality and heart the way she does. If you’re lucky enough to try Noble pie pizza, don’t hesitate—it’s hands down some of the best you’ll ever have. Thank you, Rachael, for making something so memorable for us!

If you're a tea enthusiast or just someone looking for a cozy spot to unwind, Too Soul Tea Co. in Reno is an absolute gem! Tucked away at 542 1/2 Plumas St, this charming teahouse offers an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. With over 100 varieties of specialty teas and herbal blends, including unique options like Matcha and Yerba Mate, there's something for everyone.
This place is my new favorite. Right out of the gate, Morgan took the time to explain the menu and answer my many (and probably annoying, let's be real) questions. They have an incredible selection of all sorts of teas. I'm a fan of oolongs, and she hooked me up with the Magnolia Oolong. Phenomenal. If you order a pot, they include a re-steep, which is great as someone who usually does multiple steeps at home. They are highly knowledgeable and take great care in their brewing times and temperatures. They offer loose leaf teas for sale and offer refillable tins. Discounts for bringing your own mug and for UNR students! They also offer many house blends and fruity offerings, which I have not yet had the pleasure of trying. If you are on the lookout for high-quality loose leaf teas, for a great price, brewed by people who give a damn, then you have to check out Too Soul!

Great place to get freshly brewed tea. The ladies running the shop was very knowledgeable in teas and help select a flavor for us to try. They brewed them quickly and we were drinking fresh teas within a couple minutes. We will stop by again next time we are visiting Reno.

The tea was actually surprisingly well brewed at the right temperature. The only problem I had was with the price. for two small/medium regular ice teas it came to over $13 . No bells or whistles just regular tea. Other than that they have a nice selection.

My favorite shop ever. Im OBSESSED. My only complaint is I worry their prices are too low and they’ll go out of business. So GIVE THEM ALL YOUR MONEY I want them to stay open forever. Looseaf teas are cheaper than you’ll find anywhere else and in a broader selection, barristas (?) are super knowledgeable and helpful in selection, and their hot/cold drinks are to die for.

I freakin' love Too Soul Tea! They are my comfort spot in all of Reno and brew the tastiest teas for real! Every time I visit, the employees are kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They have great quality loose leaf teas and so much variety on the menu that I still haven't tried them all! Growing up, I had Teavana to turn to for teas like this, but I feel so much better contributing to a local business that really does put "soul" into their product over a Starbucks subsidiary. I even buy a tin of my new favorite to brew at home every year on my birthday. They also have mother of macros treats and a stamp card that after 10 purchases, your next tea is free! I recommend: Creme Brulee Black, Vanilla Roobios, Spiced Chai, Santa's Sugar Cookies, and Strawberry Colada.

First of all, walking into this place smells divine. I'm not a huge tea person but have always loved a good matcha latte. After coming here I realized I should probably be finding more fresh tea leaves rather than tea bags - this place smells that good. I got a coconut matcha latte and it is delicious. Fragrant and subtle notes of coconut with the matcha with the perfect amount of sweetness. My new favorite matcha place in town. Mmm.

Cute tea shop with the neatest selection of loose teas. The menu of teas available is huge. You could visit every day for a year and not taste every thing!

Great Full Gardens, located in Midtown Reno, offers a focus on fresh and organic vegetables, providing a variety of vegetarian dishes from around the world, including delicious Indian options. The restaurant's emphasis on healthy and tasty plant-based food makes it an ideal choice for those looking for a satisfying meal. In addition to their diverse menu, Great Full Gardens also features 'Gino the Soup Man' soups, with offerings like the rotating soup of the day and Totally Tomato soup.
"Walked into a packed house, but was pleasantly surprised to get a table and order quickly. Allen handled my **Seared Ahi** order flawlessly and made sure everything was perfect. The staff truly shines, being **super friendly and very helpful** even when overwhelmed. A great experience overall!"

I am visiting this state and was referred to this restaurant as I was looking for a healthier place for lunch. The Teriyaki Bowl I ordered looked great and tasted acceptable. I did not mind as I did not know what to expect. The only negative aspect is that when ordering a bowl, they do not make it clear that the cost of the meat is an additional $8-$10. However, the service was exceptional, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is also very cool, with a unique setup and decoration. I might consider returning to try a different dish if I am ever back in the area.

Tucked into the bustling Sparks Outlets, Great Full Gardens lives up to its name with a cheerful atmosphere, warm service, and food that hits all the right notes. Our group of four stopped in on a slow afternoon and were greeted with a space that was not only welcoming but refreshingly bright and spacious—ideal for a relaxed lunch. The calmness of the day gave us a chance to really enjoy the vibe, chat without raising our voices, and take in the thoughtful design of the space. The service was genuinely spot on. Friendly without being overbearing, attentive without hovering—the kind of balanced hospitality that makes you feel looked after without being fussed over. And the food? Absolutely delectable. From the first bite to the last sip, everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. There’s a clear emphasis on quality ingredients and a menu designed to please a variety of palates. Impressed by our first visit, we returned on a different day just for coffee—and the contrast was striking. The space was now buzzing, completely filled with patrons, a true testament to the restaurant's popularity. Still, despite the crowd, the service didn’t skip a beat. Our coffees were just as enjoyable as our meals had been, crafted with care and perfect for a mid-day pause. Great Full Gardens has a way of making you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time through the door. It’s the kind of place you walk away from feeling better than when you arrived—not just full, but genuinely grateful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fresh, vibrant spot with top-notch service and consistently delicious offerings.

Stopped here for a snack and drink to cool off after a morning of shopping. The staff were kind and friendly, and the food was delicious! I had a strawberry lemonade and one liege waffle, while my companion had a cucumber lemonade and a vegan desert cup (cappuccino flavored). Everything was so good! It was noisy inside so we chose to sit outside on the patio under an umbrella. It was hot but much quieter. Very happy with my experience!

Ordered the reuben. For $18, I was expecting more. Tasted average. Sauerkraut was good. Came with a pickle. And cold quinoa. Again, average. Also ordered the vetata. Didn't really like it. It was like soup with chucks of tofu. Lacked flavor.

Nice restaurant with good choice of not fat food(they do have that too), I took a burger with side dish nice green salad instead of fattening potatoes. Good beer options and good service. Too bad there aint more of these restaurants. Only bad thing was only 2 toilets compare restaurant size.

I can always expect the best flavors and quality ingredients. I got the Pesto Caprese Melt (- tomoatoes, + grilled chicken). And a Pressecco cocktail. Price came out to about $40 (before tip), which was high imo for lunch and a happy hour cocktail, but I have never been disappointed.

Mix Bakeshop offers a delectable assortment of sweet treats such as cupcakes, handcrafted pies, and cookies. With a commitment to using only the finest ingredients and making everything from scratch on-site daily, Mix Bakeshop provides an array of flavors to satisfy every craving. Their menu includes options like Triple Chocolate and Classic Red Velvet cupcakes, as well as Salted Caramel Apple and Banana Cream pies.
Mix Bakeshop made 40 mini pies for my wedding in multiple flavors and it didn’t break the bank. The staff was so accommodating, the pies were ready on-time, they went above and beyond and even opened the shop a little early for me for pick-up. There were zero hiccups on my big day and the guests raved about the pies. The Jumbleberry was my personal favorite but they were all delicious and my Maid of Honor said she was considering putting a lock on the fridge because her and her family couldn’t stop eating the leftover pies. Thank you so much for making my day special and putting up with my family stopping by to do pie recon. I HIGHLY recommend Mix Bakeshop for your special event, gift for a relative, or sweet tooth craving. Flakey crusts and it’s clear they bake with love. ❤️

I have been buying from here for 4 years now. Every year I order a sugar cookie decorating kit and on Christmas eve we decorate cookies for Santa. The sugar cookies are fantastic. We have also ordered a chocolate pie and were pleased with that as well. Maybe one day I can perfect my sugar cookie, but until then, I have Mix Bakeshop!

I first went to Mix Bakeshop when I did their Halloween cookie decorating class and it was taught well and the cookies tasted so good. They are heavy on the almond flavoring, in a good way. I bought a mini pie and other cookies on my way out and it was all great. Their frosted sugar cookies taste very similar to their Royal icing sugar cookies, and both are delicious. There is more frosting on the frosted one so if you like less frosting, go for the royal iced one. Their cinnamon cookies are soft and very cinnamon-y and delicious. I tried their apple oatmeal cookie also and I wish I had grabbed more than one. Like the best oatmeal cookie ever plus some apple bits that made it taste like an apple crumble pie but in a cookie 🤤 Their prices are pretty reasonable too. The people working there are pleasant. I'm looking forward to my next visit there 😋

Huge fan of Mix! Their cupcakes are sooo good. I have ordered them for our office a few times and everyone loves them. Ordering for delivery is super easy on their website. The pic I'm sharing is from their Valentine's Day cupcake collection. There's something really dreamy about their cream cheese frosting.

I tried a few different cupcakes today. I was craving cake so I figured getting a couple cupcakes would be better than buying or making a whole cake. I tried the chocolate, funfetti and salted caramel. The chocolate frosting was decent. The cake was average. The funfetti cake and frosting honestly sucked. I haven't tried the salted caramel yet but I dont have high hopes. Especially at 4 bucks a pop, im seriously not impressed and will not be going back. Im off to buy some cake mixes from the store now ✌🏻

I loved the mini pies, we tried 3 different flavors (lemon, chocolate coconut, and jumbleberry) they were delicious. We enjoyed them with a hot chocolate and an oatmeal cookie sandwich. The only thing I disliked about this place is that they have a “dine-in” option but no restroom for a paying customer. After eating my mini pie and drinking my cocoa I asked to use the restroom and I was denied. It makes no sense to offer a customer the option to dine in and not allow them to use the restroom when they are done consuming a good purchased in the same place.

Situated within the Whitney Peak Hotel, this sophisticated yet unpretentious dining establishment presents a diverse selection of culinary styles, ranging from Asian to Mexican, Italian, American, and more. Cafe Whitney boasts an extensive menu that caters to various cravings - whether it's juicy steaks and succulent seafood, delectable pasta dishes or pizzas with tantalizing toppings. Additionally, their offering includes crisp salads and traditional diner-style burgers for those seeking a classic experience.
What a hidden gem! Not sure why it’s so “hidden” given that it’s right in the middle of “everything” and super easy to find. Maybe as locals we sometimes forget that hotels sometimes have really great restaurants and that they aren’t just for hotel guests and out-of-towners? Well friends, whether or not you ever stay at the hotel (but we do recommend it to friends who come to town for a visit) I encourage you to try the restaurant. We just stopped in for apps before an evening meeting yesterday. Everything was incredible, and the portion sizes generous. Plus, the happy pricing is quite reasonable. Loved the ambiance and plan to go back. Service was great too…very friendly staff.

Tuesday night, the restaurant was not busy but there was a private event on the side. The service was fast even with the same employees working both areas. My server, Raquel, was friendly and kept checking if I needed anything. I had the 12oz steak with broccolini and mash potatoes. Everything was delish. They have some appetizers 50% off during happy hour.

We went here for the first time last Saturday evening because it was close and we were hungry. First, big shout out to our server Raquel who was so helpful, attentive and generally pleasant to talk to. This was some of the best food I have had in months if not longer! Don't get me wrong, I have had delicious food at a lot of places but this was a kindof flavor experience that one rarely experiences and I was not expecting it. We started with the Fritto Misto which I expected to be a selection of battered and fried but this was something I have never had before. They were lightly dusted? With a mild coating that was just incredible. I can't describe the flavor exactly because we ate it too quickly to note what the ingredients might be. I had the salmon fish and chips and my friend had the pork belly ramen. My fish was tender, not too heavily breaded but an actual breading different than the Misto. Paired with a house tartar sauce...yum! The fries though! They were wedges but they had the best crisp on the edges especially that were full of flavor and the inside was fluffy. The ranch is also housemade and I alternated between that and the rest of the basil aoli from the misto. The slaw is also housemade and fresh. The Ramen was perfectly cooked, full of flavor and topped with a whole Sunnyside up egg that finished cooking in the Ramen after it was cut up. I really don't know how it took this long to try this place but I guarantee it won't be long before we return. Chef's kiss!

Had a casual drink before checking into our room. They gave us free drinks because our room need a few more minutes to be ready. Great atmosphere and music with friendly quick service. Didn't have any food so I didn't rate them on that but had an excellent selection

I've been here three times now, and am never unimpressed by the food. No matter what you get, it's Imaginative and filling. If I had to be an absolute nitpick, I'd say their weakest entree is the ramen, as I'm spoiled by dedicated ramen shops here and abroad. But seriously, it's all great.

Upon my arrival at approximately 7:55 AM, I observed that the staff appeared to be somewhat overwhelmed. A waiter kindly requested that I wait briefly, to which I agreed and said no problem. However, while I was waiting, a different waiter approached me (girl with glasses). Unfortunately, her demeanor was less than welcoming, as she inquired about my seating preference in a rather rude tone. Throughout my visit while I was eating, I noticed that she was making unprofessional comments regarding other people dining in - And they were clear enough to be heard. On a more positive note, Sumayia, who took my order, was courteous and provided satisfactory service. The food was excellent; I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I would particularly recommend the Chilaquiles with chicken and the iced mocha.

I've been going to Pegs for a long time. The staff is always friendly and the food is always delicious ! I sat at the counter last Thursday. I had a great conversation with Crystal. ( I believe that was her name. ) She was very friendly and made my dining experience better that usual. I even went back yesterday with a friend of mine.

We spent a weekend in Reno for a concert but wanted to check out the local breakfast spot. This place appealed to me based on popularity and many locations. The diner is cute, and the food was highly rated. The husband had the meat lovers omelet, which was an omelet of the specials of the day. It was huge! Came with hash browns and UNLIMITED toast. They had white, wheat, and sourdough bread. The sourdough was amazing, and we learned it comes from a local bakery. Winning!! I had the made fresh Cornbeef hash with salted onions and peppers, topped with 2 eggs (however you like it), side of hash browns, and both wheat and sourdough toast. It is the known has the best and they did not disappoint. I ate the entire thing. The cornbeef hash was good with my over easy eggs. It was great topped on my toast. It was perfect with a bite of hash browns. The eggs Benedict on the menu are the local favorites. I am usually an Eggs Benedict type of girl, but I am so glad I diverted and tried something different!!! My belly was so happy! The service! If you go to this location, ask for Crystal (not sure of spelling). She always had a smile, and our coffee cups were never empty. We were seated right away when we arrived. We could tell it was a happening place because there were customers rolling in constantly. Tables were cleared quickly. Water cups were never empty. Great, great service and SO friendly. So if you want a great breakfast spot in Reno, either with family or friends or after a night of partying- this is the spot to go. And ask for Crystal!!!! Hats off to the cooks who were cranking out the food!! Delicious!

The location is convenient to downtown. It has a friendly staff and portions of food are rather large. They provide quick friendly service. The food had great taste and glad we didn't order a side a pancakes as we originally thought. The pound ham was awesome and chile relleno as well. Highly recommend you try this local place, you won't be disappointed.

Thank you Karolina for the service! Came out to celebrate a birthday received excellent service and food. Also forgot to mention, great prices!

Very mediocre. I had high expectations for this place due to the reviews here and a friend recommendation. The food portions are large, but that is just about it. My main complaint was the pancakes. They were very chewy and a little bit rubbery. The chili relleno plate was impressively big but quite flavorless. The eggs and bacon were done right, but nothing more than Denny's quality. Tbe loco moco beef patty was tasty, but it was swimming in excess brown sauce. So overall, the food is like Denny's, but without Denny's prices. Service was fine, friendly if you're a local. The dining room was basic, much like an old 50s diner that hasn't been remodeled. Prices have been raised from what my friends have known from eating here about a year ago. Parking garge and street parking is nearby. The front entrance was messy with carts full of plates and salt and pepper shakers.
The L — Google review
I’ll start with the server. She was great. Super nice, very friendly and attentive. Food: I got the chicken fried steak. It was probably the worst chicken fried steak I’ve ever had. It was a very processed food. The texture wasn’t even meat like, it was more like the consistency and texture of spam, but not pleasant. Gravy had good flavor, but didn’t help the chicken fried steak. I could only eat about half of the steak. I had stomach cramps about 15 minutes after leaving. Atmosphere: the restaurant was actually quiet, but the restaurant didn’t have a whole lot of people inside. I did notice, this is probably the most unclean peg’s I’ve been to in the Reno/Sparks area. If I had looked at the grill/cooking area before being seated I would have left and not ate at this restaurant.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience in Reno, look no further than Manhattan Deli. This charming eatery is perfect for any meal of the day, whether you’re craving a hearty lunch, dinner, or even late-night snacks. Known for its towering sandwiches and fresh salads, it’s also home to an iconic New York cheesecake that’s simply irresistible.
The Manhattan Deli was a real treat. The food was delicious, and I do mean everything we ordered; we had a steamed pastrami sandwich, a grilled pastrami, a corned beef sandwich, a reuben sandwich, mozzarella sticks and a very delicious bread pudding with a rum sauce. Let me tell you one of the greatest treats we had was our server Shaylene, pronounced (Shay-Lean) she was awesome. She made great recommendations, and she was friendly, funny, and very personable. If you love Deli food, this restaurant is a great choice if you are in the Reno area.

Wonderful place for a meal! This blow us as we did not expect that we can have really good food in a casino eatery. We ordered a few dishes and None of them is a miss. The waffle fries of sweet potatoes are a hit: so crunchy and perfectly fried. The chicken noodle soup are flavorful. The apple pie is good. The power mix salad is so rich with different ingredients. The double decker with beef tongue and corned beef are super good — less salty than the NYC local ones but really crate to my palate. The only issue is the waiting time for food is a bit of long. But the waitress is kind and polite. Pretty nice. Definitely will come back again! Why stand in the line for hours for the buffet ?
J. — Google review
Stopped by this place for lunch and was helped out by Dee Dee. Super friendly and very attentive. She was awesome! I ordered the corned beef and pastrami double and man it was a lot! It doesn't look so big in the picture but when you go to work on it you are stopped in your tracks about halfway through. I could not finish the whole thing as much as i wanted to. I like the atmosphere of this place and my only gripe is for the $5 coffee and $5 fountain drink which put the check at $40 for 1 person. I guess this is the norm nowadays. I would return if in the area.
Billy B — Google review
I ordered the pastrami sandwich. The meat was good and the bread nicely grilled. The price on the menu said $21. The waitress asked if I wanted cheese and I said yes. I chose potatoe salad as the side dish. The total price for this sandwich came to $27.78. They added $1 for the cheese. Included 15% gratuity. (I was with a group) , and tax on the bill. The potatoe salad was served in a small cup and half of that was a chunk of potatoe that hadn't been cut up into the salad. This sandwich is overpriced.
Susan C — Google review
At Manhattan Deli, we experienced very poor service. I ordered an egg sandwich on white toasted bread, but it was served cold and untoasted. It was returned to the kitchen, and we waited another 5–10 minutes before receiving it again — this time on sourdough, not what I ordered. • We waited over 45 minutes to receive our food, which included just a sandwich and a pizza. • During this time, our server walked past our table at least 8 times, yet never stopped to ask if we needed anything or how our food was. She was within arm’s reach while serving the table across from us but did not acknowledge us until much later. When she finally came over, I informed her the food was unsatisfactory and requested the check. What concerned me most was that during our phone call, the marketing representative asked me to remove my honest Google review. I made it clear that I would not take it down. My review accurately reflects our experience at your property. Whether the review is positive or negative, I believe in leaving truthful feedback — and I do not appreciate being pressured to remove it. I am requesting a professional response and reassurance that: 1. Your staff, including cocktail servers and restaurant personnel, will receive proper customer service training. 2. Guests will not be pressured to remove reviews when they share honest feedback about their experience.

Update 7/28...I had the Greek Salad and it was not good! Too many pepperoncinis (5?), not enough kalamata olives, miniscule amount of feta cheese, 3 litte half slices of cucumbers and not enough onions! Keep the pepperoncinis whole! Keep the skin on the cucumbers and make it whole slices and a lot more olives! Go buy a Greek salad from Sprouts, which is cheaper & much better!! Service was lacking! Support staff should be filling the glasses to help the actual waiter! Felt lazy and inattentive! Food service again was very slow.....NOT TIMELY! Too noisy from because of the machines and people yelling! Put glass along the outside as a buffer! Quality of food was not good! Waste of money, and it took too long! Wasn't that busy to cause the delay!

Our server Duillio was so attentative, full of enthusiasm and really had a pride in doing a good job. The food was just as amazing, true deli style sandwiches, loads of stacked meats and delicious fresh bread....we'd definitely eat here again!

Only reason I give 3 stars for atmosphere is because it is inside a casino, and not enclosed. So you do smell cigarette smoke some. The food is excellent. Best pastrami in Reno. Our server was on point, and the food came out very timely. My milkshake for desert was excellent.

The Stone House Café is a charming eatery located in a converted early-1900s Craftsman-style bungalow made of river rock. This family-owned café offers a diverse menu of New American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Diners can enjoy their meals indoors surrounded by retro rock posters or outdoors on the patio adorned with lush greenery. The café has won multiple awards and is known for its romantic ambiance and fascinating history.
We had a lovely evening for dinner on the last day of school June 6. Outdoor seating was so beautiful in terms of the decor and beautiful plants and flowers. Serena and her staff are always polite, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Three out of the five of us had the scallops, crab and shrimp pasta. It smelled divine! (I am allergic to shellfish so no tastes for me! Pasta and seafood were plentiful and yet...no leftovers! :) For appetizers, we had the calamari which was so light and tender, the classic escargo and the garlic butter sauce required to servings of bread to go with it, and I had the Gazpacho- which is my fav thing to eat this time of year. My husband had the seafood Louie and...there was nothing left of the enormous dish! I had the salmon Cesar and it was definitely medium and so grateful they did not overcooked it. It had a lovely sear and was a great compliment to the handmade dressing. No one had enough room for dessert...but if they would have...I would choose the bread pudding! Yum!

The food is always good, tamales are made there and lattes and french toast are always good too. Sometimes you need to park on the street because parking can be tight and they get busy and stay busy so I recommend getting a reservation during peak times. Indoor and outdoor seating is nice and the service is always polite, though can sometimes be understandably delayed during really busy times.

This place is a must try! I don't say this often, but I am doing it now. Trifecta! 1- Amazing service, fun staff and very knowledgeable. 2- Absolutely beautiful outdoor patio. We did not go inside so can't say about that. 3- Delicious food at a great price and large portions. That is what I call a perfect trifecta!! We met some.friends for brunch so we had breakfast items. I am not sure what they ordered so I can't say but there dishes looked amazing and they we very happy. I ordered the Biscuit Diablo and was so happy with it. Not real spicy, just the right amount. Delicious house made biscuits! This place has such a wide variety of food that there truly is something here for everybody. Come check it out you won't be disappointed!

Hadn’t been there in over a year. We were initially seated in a ‘hallway’ near the kitchen. Dingy and very unattractive! Asked to move to the porch as the outdoor seating was closed. Heaters were blasting so we asked to have them turned down. Food was very average and quite pricey. ‘Homemade’ corn chip appetizer was fried corn tortilla chips and hardly homemade. The pomegranate sauce on my lamb was too thick and overly sweet. Medium well was definitely well done. My daughter’s Thai style sauce on her salmon was ridiculously sweet and had to be scraped off. Fish and chips was good. Needless to say, we won’t be returning anytime soon. Their attempt at fine dining misses the mark with heavy sauces that do nothing but detract from the main protein. Tasteless side vegetables certainly could be stepped up. A complete waste of money and a disappointing experience. We won’t be back.

We had been wanting to experience dining at the stone house cafe for a while, but every time we attempted to go they were packed with people. That told is it had to be good food. We were not disappointed with our dining here. The wait staff were excellent, the food was very very good, and the atmosphere was relaxing. We will definitely go again.

Food was excellent, but the Hostess ignored myself and others waiting to put name on waitlist. Told 30 minutes which was fine on a busy Sunday. 1 hour goes by and we see people come in with no reservations and get seated. Go inside to inquire and ignored by hostess again. Finally we are told we are next after waiting for hostess to acknowledge us. Hostess calls our name and says to take table by front door to left which we did. Server comes to table and rudely asks if we are seating ourselves since there is a waitlist. Place is cute but come on, be courteous and attentive to the paying customer whether you're busy or not. There are plenty of good places to eat with better customer service!

Squeeze In is a vibrant local chain that has been serving up its signature omelets and other breakfast items since 1974. The Young family took over the original Truckee, CA location in 2003 and has since expanded to five locations across Northern Nevada and California. Known for its fun and eclectic atmosphere, Squeeze In offers an extensive menu featuring giant omelettes prepared in various ways, as well as American breakfast and lunch fare.
This was the cutest little place, outstanding service from the minute we walked in! They were packed, however, all employees were courteous and so friendly! The wait time was minimal. We got the Racy Tracy and the Spicy Spanish! Sourdough 🥖 bread, 💃🏻 salsa, mushroom 🍄 gravy…… I could go on and on! The decor was adorable!!!! What a fun place, would highly recommend 10 outta 10 🙌🏻 hands down!

Brunch Vibes at Squeeze In – Reno 🥓🍳🥪☕️ Just had an awesome brunch at Squeeze In and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, we were charmed by the quirky, colorful decor—everything from firefighter helmets to Batman & Superman flying across the ceiling! 🦸‍♂️🚒 JR was our server and let me tell you—this guy was fantastic! Super friendly, knew the menu like a pro, and checked in with us to make sure we were loving everything (which we were). Service with a big smile goes a long way! She had the BLT Truckee—classic and delicious. I went for the Chipotle Eggs Benedict, which was amazing—those freshly poached eggs were totally worth the wait! They even brought us free cinnamon rolls to thank us for being patient (now that’s hospitality). I sipped on an Arnold Palmer iced tea and soaked in the good vibes. This place really gets brunch right. Highly recommend you stop in and say hey to JR if you’re in Reno. We’ll definitely be back! #SqueezeIn #RenoBrunch #EggsBenedict #SupportLocal #GreatService #FoodieFinds I just wanna add that the Eggs Benedict were masterly done definitely way worth waiting for.. So I went back to the kitchen to ask who made the eggs and this guy Caesar comes out. I just had to give him props on it cause they were perfectly poached eggs and that is something hard to do.

The food is so delicious here. They give you unlimited toast, we tried the sourdough & honey wheat and was very good. A little bit pricey, but worth it. Come hungry, portions are very generous. Service is great and friendly. 1000% recommended!!! If i could give 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ i would

Great food, fast service, amazing coffee and loved the music. What else could I asked for? Ordered two breakfast dishes, but the Huevos Montana standed out. A bit spicy, not overwhelming. They can accommodate gluten-free customers swapping the bread with corn tortillas.

Oh wow. This was a really bad visit. Well the staff were great but the food was inedible. Please see picture for reference. The toast was beyond burnt. How do you serve that?! And I think they’ve switched to an egg product. You can see the scrambled eggs and the omelet were not normal eggs. You can see how crumbly the scrambled eggs are. Kid wouldn’t eat it even with ketchup. Paid $30+ for an omelet and a kids meal. Both were unfortunately inedible. Well the bacon inside the Racy Tracy were fine.

We went two separate occasions with a group. We all loved the Reno Squeeze In. It has a down-to-earth homey feel, service was great, & the food and drink awesome. All the Mimosas are fabulous I'm sure. A few of us tried the Island Rum...it was Rum-alischous! For those that want to be creative and leave their mark, ask for their markers. We donated a very special sign and plan to re-visit as much as we can. Thank you...we had fun!!

Romanza is a top Italian restaurant located in Reno, offering an elegant and romantic setting adorned with starry frescoes, torches, and statues. The restaurant features a strong menu of traditional Italian dishes such as chicken piccata, chicken parmigiana, and homemade pasta. Guests can enjoy the enchanting dining experience surrounded by romantic lighting, classical music, and classic Roman sculptures. The exhibition kitchen serves classic Italian cuisine with a modern twist including wood-fired pizzas and handcrafted pasta.
Had an absolutely fantastic meal here. Everything is packed with flavor from the breads to the pastas and they have an amazing wines by the glass list including pistachios and beam, and miner family Cabernet. I had the cauliflower side dish with the spicy clam linguini and am craving more. Everyone loved their meals. Don’t walk to Romanza when you’re craving Italian food in Reno, run there. The decor is tacky, but the food and service is amazing.

So I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and it was a huge disappointment. So. Much. Breading!!! my husband ordered the Bolognese Con Mafaldine. He loved his dish. In addition, the wine list was amazing and the pork belly starter was fantastic. I’d be willing to come back and try something other than the eggplant

We visited to celebrate our grandparents’ 67th wedding anniversary and couldn’t have chosen a more perfect spot. The food, ambiance, and attentive service were all exceptional. Jeremiah, our server, went above and beyond to make the occasion truly memorable. Our meal featured a delightful selection of dishes including the burrata salad, veal parmigiana, veal piccata scallopini, minestrone soup, and we finished with a decadent Amaretto ricotta cheesecake. Every dish was exquisite, making the evening one to remember.

We ended up coming here for dinner last night after finding out it would be close to a 2 hour wait at Oceana. We love Italian food so it wasn't hard to adjust on what we wanted for dinner. We came up and the hostess did inform us they were booked, however, the bar seating was open. We gladly accepted bar seating. Our servers/bartenders (So sorry we forgot your names! One is a trainee though) were so welcoming and friendly! They provided good recommendations on drinks and food. It been a while since we came across such outstanding service! Honestly the best service we received from our trip to Reno this weekend. Now about the food: they are generous with their portions! My other half ordered the trio (not pictured) and I ordered the Bolognese. We did an order of the salad to share. We barely made a dent in our food before waving the white flag. Both dinners were packed up to go and currently waiting for us to devour for dinner. I highly recommend everyone to try this place out at least once - whether it's for a date night or to grab a bite to eat. The staff alone makes it worthwhile.

First time eating here, every time we’ve tried in the past it’s booked solid. I wondered what the hype was and we were a little disappointed. Started out asking if they have Italian sausage links and that was a big NO! I come from a big east coast Sicilian family and I’ve never been to an Italian restaurant that didn’t have Italian sausage links on the menu. We started with complementary bread, butter and bread sticks that were stale. They also brought out balsamic that was empty and oil to dip bred in. We ordered Sicilian wood fired shrimp that tasted ok but not great. The Cesar salad was great. I ordered a sampler entree that had sausage lasagna, chicken parmigiana and fettuccine garlic Alfredo. The pasta sauce was very rich tasting. The chicken parmigiana tasted pretty good but not what I’m used to. Portions could have been bigger for the price. My wife ordered linguine and clams as she always does and didn’t like it at all. Small portions of clams and a lot of linguine. I also requested they did some for my wife since it was her Birthday and lady who sat us said she would take care of it and nothing happened, I was a little upset and not sure we will be back.

We’ve been here numerous times, only bc we were gambling and it was convenient. Food and service are meh. It’s been hit and miss with the service. Sometimes you’ll get someone really attentive, sometimes they won’t even come around. We expected the food to be much better, being in the casino and for the prices. It’s definitely very salty, and not very memorable.

Two Chicks is a trendy restaurant located in the revitalized neighborhood near downtown Reno. Owned by best friends Haley and Jessie, this industrial-chic eatery specializes in local, seasonal American breakfasts, sandwich melts, and salads. The menu focuses on brunch with offerings like mimosas and fresh coffee. Opened in 2014, Two Chicks serves elevated comfort food for breakfast and lunch, including omelets, Benedicts, quality breakfast meats, and gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches.
This is one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time! I loved the white, sweet potato, with bell pepper and onions, my bacon was cooked exactly like I asked a little crispy. They have different flavored mimosas and breakfast drinks ! Service was fast, the waiters and waitresses continue to check on me and make sure my meal was good. They were very attentive! There was a little bit of a wait for a table, so I just set up at the bar, which was fabulous! I got to watch the cooks cook and I was amazed with one cook was so good. I definitely recommend breakfast here at two chicks.!

Tried out Two Chicks and had a solid experience overall. The food was good — nothing that totally blew us away, but definitely a satisfying meal. We appreciated the short wait for a table and the portion sizes. The atmosphere was casual and pleasant, and everything came out fresh and well-prepared. We’d recommend it if you’re looking for a good spot with decent food and efficient service.

Two Chicks was a perfect stop for brunch on me and my girlfriend’s road trip. The staff were quite friendly, the portions were generous, and the food was delicious. They had some really unique food and beverage options that were really good. Definitely be sure to ask the server about some of their menu options that they’d recommend. If you want a hearty brunch in Reno, this spot is a great option.

Two Chicks is a fun place to stop and grab either breakfast or lunch in Reno. They have a good selection of food to choose from. However they are particular in what they offer and you simply just eat it their way, which is odd. It’s hard to get anything customized the way you want it. The staff was quite friendly and did a great job of waiting on my table. Be warned the DO NOT HAVE RANCH or FRY SAUCE here. Haha. There is outdoor seating in the warmer months.
Nathan H — Google review
This place was very busy when we arrived, but we were able to sit at the bar area, and we got right in. The food was good. The over-medium eggs were definitely a little on a runny side and the sweet potatoes home fries were really good, but there were about 40% onions in the potatoes. The service was really good. I would absolutely go back and order the home fries with no onions, if that is an option. We will definitely go back here on our next trip to Reno.

I did some research after waking up in the morning for a good breakfast spot nearby me and this place popped up, I told myself I have to give it a try and to see is it good or just hype. Upon arrival, there were a few people ahead of me, but that does not bother me since I am a very patient person. I then got seated and was greeted by their friendly staffs. They have a drink menu that consists of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Their main menu includes breakfast, skillets, omelettes, benedicts, sandwiches, salads, a kid’s menu and much more. I just went with the breakfast since I was craving for it. Everything is made to order which is always a plus for me since it is quality over quantity. The staffs here are very welcoming, well trained and understanding where it made my visit a pleasant one. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent breakfast/brunch spot, if you are looking to try something new or if you just so happen to be in the area. I will be back to tryout the other options they have to offer.

A great place for brunch in Reno. The best poutine I've ever had outside of Canada. There's a wait to get seated for brunch, but it's worth it and they have a bar outside for you to grab a drink while you wait. The chilaquiles are just ok though.

It was quite busy for a Sunday, and we waited about half an hour for a table. The restaurant is pretty small with both indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the veggie omelette and the sourdough pancakes combo (with eggs and bacon on the side). The veggie omelette was good but a bit bland and could’ve used some salt. The pancakes were tasty, but the bacon wasn’t very crispy, and the eggs were also bland both could’ve been cooked a little longer. The coffee is local, but it didn’t taste like coffee at all. It honestly seemed like maybe hot water was added into the pot instead of brewing a fresh one. The water also tasted off almost like thickened water I’m not sure why, but it definitely didn’t taste right. On the positive side, the service was absolutely fantastic. Our server kept checking in on us and refilling drinks, and the FOH staff were very kind when we entered and left. Overall, I’d give this place another try and might check out their 2nd location down the street.

Old Granite Street Eatery is a downtown restaurant with a modern-rustic atmosphere, featuring a vintage wood bar and booths that exude country-chic charm. The eatery offers American comfort cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients, with seasonal menus showcasing dishes like wood-grilled ranch steak and roasted vegetable eggs benedict. In response to the pandemic, the restaurant has introduced curbside takeout and an online market selling various items.
We eat here somewhat infrequently but always enjoy it. Tonight was extra special. We dropped in before the theatre. Amazing meal, I had the barramundi. El-Marie had the curry salmon. Both excellent. The barramundi was slightly crispy without being overly cooked. The salmon had a slight glaze that was also wonderful. Great meal.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch on Boxing Day. The restaurant was very busy so I sat at the bar. I liked the atmosphere in this rather small place and the service was good. I ordered the breakfast burger with coleslaw and both items were delicious. The burger was served with a generous amount of perfectly cooked bacon and a lovely, runny-yoke fried egg. The burger was rather greasy but the flavour was excellent. I think this place is popular with the locals as a few people came by to pick up take out orders and a server seemed to be well acquainted with them... A good selection of wines and craft beer. Would definitely like to return and try more selections from their menu.

Granite Street Eatery provided a truly delightful and memorable dining experience. Nestled in a charming part of town, this local gem offers a welcoming ambiance that effortlessly balances casual comfort with thoughtful service. One of the standout features for me was their dog-friendly patio—an absolute bonus for pet lovers. I brought both my mother and my beloved rescue dog, Daisy, and we were all made to feel right at home. The staff was exceptionally courteous and professional, displaying genuine warmth and attentiveness throughout our visit. It’s not often you find service that feels both efficient and personal, but Granite Street Eatery manages to strike that rare balance. We began our meal with the shishito pepper appetizer, which I cannot recommend highly enough. Perfectly blistered and seasoned, the peppers had just the right amount of heat and depth of flavor to whet the appetite. It was a simple dish executed with care and finesse—evidence of a kitchen that takes pride in both quality and presentation. Equally impressive were the menu prices, which were remarkably reasonable given the quality of the ingredients and the overall dining experience. It’s refreshing to discover a place where value and flavor coexist so harmoniously. Granite Street Eatery has certainly earned a spot on my list of favorite local spots, and I look forward to returning many times in the future—hopefully with Daisy in tow. Whether you're looking for a relaxed lunch, a charming evening out, or a pet-friendly place to enjoy a meal with family, this eatery delivers on every front.

Great little pub style restaurant. Nice vibe. The bison burger was perfectly cooked and flavored. They didn't hide the flavor by trying to do too much. The coleslaw was light and fresh with just the right amount of sweetness. The fish and chips were beautifully done. The batter wasn't heavy and the fish stood up to being dipped into the tarter sauce which was creamy and not too sweet. The chips (fries) had a wonderful crispy outer shell, not greasy, and flavorful. We started with the naan and hummus plate. The naan was to die for. Great, friendly service. And the bring your bill in a cute book that you can write a note in.

By far the best food I’ve had in Reno. The only downside are the bacon chips, they’re just not special. The caramel martini gave me life, and I hate sweet drinks. The espresso one was ok, but not the caramel. My friend and I both had burgers that were out of this world and she had a dessert (seasonal ice cream) that she couldn’t believe was real. By far the best food in Reno Nevada. Definitely go here. Update, I came back and had a fantastic Italian sandwich and espresso martini a year later. Still a go to spot in Reno.

Beaujolais Bistro is a charming French restaurant located in the Arts District of downtown Reno. The bistro offers a daily changing menu of refined French dishes, complemented by an impressive selection of wine and beer. The warm and inviting atmosphere features white tablecloths, brick walls, and intimate seating, creating the perfect setting for a delightful dining experience. The attentive staff are knowledgeable about the food and wine offerings, ensuring exceptional service.
An absolute gem. Loved everything! This is a beautiful and very clean establishment. It feels upscale, yet also home-y and welcoming. They have a nice selection of wines by the glass. The menu rotates, here's what we had: - Marinated calvestrano olives which were served warm. They were so delicious we took an extra order to go. These might be the best olives I've ever had! - Onion soup gratin. Comfort food! Slightly sweet, very savory, and the right balance of cheese to add flavor without being too much. - Scallops with artichoke heart and beurre blanc. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. - Hanger steak with fries. The steak was beautifully cooked and sliced, the red wine sauce was rich and flavorful. I didn't love the fries but let's be honest, I did not go there for great fries. - Orange creme brulee. Wow. Wow. Wow. The crust was excellent and charred (in a good way) in a few spots. It came with very fresh berries that were surprisingly packed with flavor despite it being winter. I rated the service a 4 because our drink refills were slow despite the restaurant not being very busy that we could tell.

We had a truly wonderful experience at Beaujolais Bistro. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed and well cared for. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and every member of the team went out of their way to ensure our evening was special. The manager stopped by our table to check in, which was a nice personal touch that really stood out. It showed a genuine care for the guest experience, and it was clear that the whole team takes pride in what they do. The food was exceptional, beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Combined with the warm and inviting atmosphere, it made for an unforgettable dining experience. Beaujolais Bistro is a gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing food, outstanding service, and a place where the staff and management genuinely value their guests.

We sat out on the front porch for three hours and LOVED every minute of it. Our server and wait staff were elegant and engaging. The duck was done to perfection- not a flaw. The French onion soup was rich and warm...just what we needed as the weather turned colder outside. Highly rexommend.

As always, our dining experience was excellent.  The food, the wine, the service, and the ambiance are all top notch.  Sure, prices have gone up, as they have anywhere that serves quality cuisine, but it's worth it every time at Beaujolais.  We particularly like the Liberty Duck dishes, the fish (any of them) and the steak, and the four desserts we ordered were all better than the last. And Rosalyn, our server, was the best we've had at Beaujolais and the best we've had in a long time at any restaurant.  She is super friendly and knowledgeable and shows the perfect level of attention.  She never bothered us but also never left us looking for her.  I'm sure she had other tables, but it felt like we were her only table and she was watching us all along to make sure we never wanted for anything.

Came on a double date on Valentine’s day. Menu was set but had decent options. I’ve never really had French food so I don’t have a taste for it but everything was beautifully plated and service was great. I didn’t much care for some of the early courses (escargot, fois gras, caviar) but the truffle filet mignon for the main course was 🔥🔥🔥. Made the entire dinner worth it. Lots of truffle shavings and the steak was cooked perfectly. If you like French food or want a nice new culinary experience, this spot won’t disappoint. L

I've been twice now and had roughly the same experience both times. The atmosphere is charming and intimate although the split space of the restaurant seems like it leaves the servers harried and gives the impression they are barging into their own dining rooms. The service itself is attentive, polite, and professional enough. However, both times I've been here, the wait between ordering and dining has been significant and accompanied only by appeasing refills of bread (which was appreciated) and nervous glances at the table by the servers with no communication to address it (which would have been more appreciated). So was it worth the wait? Yes and no. On both visits, I found the drinks and diverse offerings of appetizers to be tasty and timely. The same can't be said for the entrees. The meat never seems to be cooked just properly and the meals have come out cold. I suspect this is related to those aforementioned wait times. Even this is forgivable, but more concerningly, whether it was duck, steak, or lamb, I found the meat tough (It would have been a mercy for them to provide a SAWZALL for my most recent meal) and downright flavorless. This was only highlighted by the humble entree accoutrements which were very flavorful but didn't seem to be working in balance with as much as attempting to mask an underwhelming main dish. On dessert, I have to frankly say that between the high price points and the wait, by the time it was offered there wasn't enough good faith on the table to indulge. Beaujolais Bistro could be in consideration as a nice spot for a refreshment or light dining, but it's a tough sell to recommend a full experience here. I can't help but feel there is a disconnect at Beaujolais. I'm not sure if it is something physical; a small kitchen struggling to keep up with two dining rooms, or maybe the strain of a menu that I was told shifts daily, but I think there is a change that could be made at this bistro for the better. It sincerely was surprising to me that my experiences were not only consistent between my two visits, but that my specific detractions seem be consistent with other diners over time after reading similar (and generous) reviews.
Wes J — Google review
Beaujolais has set a new bar for me in regards to dining and service that every restaurant I attend will be compared to in the future. Located on Riverside drive, the area is alive and quaint. There's a lovely view of the river, and the people walking by makes the area feel very alive. We dined outside, but the inside of Beaujolais was beautiful and home-y. The menu was diverse and was delicious. For an appetizer my partner and I shared the duck and mushroom cigars which were moist, crunchy, and served over a bed of one of the most delicious sauces I've ever had. For entrees we opted for steak fritz and rack of lamb. The fry sauce was shockingly good, and the lamb was one of the most tender pieces of meat I've eaten. We finished with creme brulee and a surprise from the serving staff, as I had noted it was my partner and I's anniversary, to which they helped us celebrate with a candle on the creme brulee and celebrations from the staff. Our server Lee was truly the best I've ever experienced in a restaurant, keeping a watchful eye over our experience and carrying himself with an air of professionalism and pride I've never had anywhere else. This was a special experience for me, I left happy and most importantly my partner left happy. Special thanks to the staff, this will be my go-to for any occasion of meaning in the future.

Midtown Eats is a trendy and eclectic restaurant that features fresh, made-to-order food. The menu includes salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers and tacos during lunchtime and meatier fare such as steak and fries or duck confit at dinner. Their Sunday brunch offers brioche French toast, eggs benedict, a classic bacon lettuce tomato sandwich, fresh squeezed juice or mimosa service with coffee from their own Hub Coffee Roasters down the street.
First time here, I’ve been wanting to go for a some time now. The place is pretty cool, the ambiance is pretty chill. My boyfriend and I both ordered their strongest Ale and it did in fact hit us half way. We were both hungry and ordered a burger 🍔 and oh my goodness, this was a good burger, a lot of meat and very delicious.(keep in mind I’m not a meat lover) the burger came with a side of fries and they are not stingy at all with their 🍟 fries. Our server was really good and loved how I asked for a side of chipotle aioli and my boyfriend asked for ranch for both of us and she brought us both of each. I really appreciate when servers are kind like that😊 Our check was over $50 but that’s because the 🍺 was $12 each and that’s okay that was a strong one Overall great place, loved it will definitely go again, specially when we get the munchies.

Good food at decent prices. The Portabello mushroom burger was good and has a flavorful sauce. I also ordered the mushroom soup which was good but came with a bit of oil on the top, a little too much for my liking but otherwise very good. I highly recommend their sodas, both the vanilla orange and the strawberry sodas were very good with lots of flavor and hardly any sugar. I wish I could buy it at a store. Check this place out if you get a chance, not bad.

Wow, one of the spiciest margaritas (Ode to Tommy's) that i've ever had, and it was delicious. Heard a lot about this place as a newcomer to town, but with a name like midtown eats, i wasn't expecting much - blown away though by the flavor. Really good shishito peppers, my favorite green bean dish (buttered brown sugar), and some good (not excellent) ribs. Meat was a bit tough, but still a great dish.

It is neat that Reno has hip restaurants. However...the dinner food menu here was so small, the choices are bare minimum. Seeing what the salads looked like - unappetizing and laughable. $18 for a really unappealing veggie bowl. The prices are outrageous.

Burger Me! is a trendy eatery that offers a wide range of burgers made from locally sourced beef, bison, poultry, and seafood. This cool burger joint takes pride in using natural ingredients from the local community, ensuring that their food is free from gluten, hormones, and antibiotics. In addition to traditional beef burgers, they also serve unique options like lamb, ahi tuna, and Nevada Elk.
Nice place with lots of meat options! Like bison and elk! Quality burgers that you pay for. Yet, it's worth it! Plus, they have street fighter 2! I've brought multiple people here in the last couple of weeks and we have always received our food in less time than smoking a smoke (about 5 minutes 😆) The portions are generally generous, seeing how, rarely, anyone finished everything. Thanks everyone! See you next time!

I had the cowboy burger with and a side of sweet potato fries. Both were very good! The burger had just enough condiment to meat ratio. The patty was large and juicy. It was cooked just right to me, as I ordered it to be cooked Medium. The staff was kind and attentive. I got the order to go, but the eating area seemed clean and orderly. I will definitely be back.

11.18.23: I went to Burger Me! for the first time to have lunch and catch up with a friend. I love Patty melts so when I saw it on the menu, I knew exactly what I was ordering. I had that with garlic fries. My friend ordered the elk burger with sweet potato fries. Service was great and prompt and employees were friendly. The ambience was quiet, which was nice. The patty melt was pretty decent and the cook on it was great. My onions were grilled, which was positive. However, it lacked the distinct grilled flavor. My garlic fries were so good and I loved seeing all the fresh garlic on it. My friend said his elk burger was good and left it at that. He shared his sweet potato fries with me and I enjoyed them just as much as my garlic fries. Today it seemed the fries were the winner!

First time coming and was helped by Jada. Ordered the smash burger with 1/2 fires and onions rings. I was not disappointed. The burger was fresh and the seasoning was perfect.Fries and rings were just as good!! Ty Jada, for your recommendation! We will be returning.

✨ Burger Me! – Reno, NV ✨ The first thing I noticed walking into Burger Me wasn’t just the smell of burgers on the grill—it was the people. The place has this warm, welcoming vibe, and every employee seemed to be smiling. McKenzie took our order and immediately complimented my girlfriend on her hat, which set the tone for the whole visit. I ordered the Gyro Burger (with extra bacon and pickles) while she went classic with a cheese & bacon burger. Both were absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. We split a mixed basket of regular and sweet potato fries, dipping into chipotle mayo and ranch until the baskets were empty. Silvana brought our food with another genuine smile, and it really hit me—good food always tastes better when the service comes with kindness. 🍔 Burger Me! isn’t just another burger spot—it’s a place where the food is bold, the portions generous, and the human element makes the whole experience shine. #RenoEats #BurgerMe #FoodieFinds #SupportLocal Kudos to the manage…

Burger Me is often good but sometimes they either give a rare/raw(?) burger and sometimes a well done burger. Sometimes they ask how we want it cooked and sometimes they don’t. When they do ask, it’s never cooked how we order and today they didn’t ask and this is what I got. Now I’m microwaving it because I didn’t see this until I was already home (I had takeout)

Additionally, they offer special options such as vegetarian sausage and black-bean burgers with gluten-free buns.
I love this place. Busy Sunday morning, the smells walking in just comfort you. We have come here for over 35 years. We are on the fourth generation asking to go here. We had a short wait and then yum. I ordered a salad, and my granddaughter had the kids pancake plate. We colored their kids' coloring page while waiting. Our breakfast did not disappoint. Their salads are so big. I ate yet when I was full, and I still had a full box to take home. My granddaughter enjoys the honey butter cornbread. We added a take-home order on our meal to finish. Everything was ready to go at the same time. It was fun to watch the different sporting games from our table. It was a very busy restaurant but I felt we had enough to ourselves. Yes, I will keep coming back for another 35 years. 😊🥰

I just moved down the street and was super excited to try this place, unfortunately it was not up to par despite the good reviews I saw online. I went in and ordered to go, took just under 40mins so not the quickest and when I got home to eat I was disappointed in what I saw, the taste was just as disappointing. I ordered the chicken friend steak it had a weird corn meal like textured breading and was overcooked/dry and my potatoes were so over cooked when I took a bite it tasted burnt and some were so bad it was like biting into a crouton. The gravy was gelatinous and the texture was off. I got about 1/4 of the way through and it honestly upset my stomach. The gravy didn't even taste like gravy either, it was spicy and was like eating red chili flake jello. I would not recommend for the pricing because it is far too expensive for the quality by far.
Levi — Google review
The restaurant is a good vibe but the biscuits and gravy look better than they taste. The potatoes were not fully cooked unfortunately. But they definitely got the eggs cooked correctly. It's just my honest opinion that the chicken fried steak was not good. Quite tough. I would go there again though I just know what I would order from there. The corned beef hash with substitute for the potatoes. I would still try lunch and dinner.

This was by far the best patty melt that I have ever had! It was the elevated patty, melt with grilled onions, bacon, and my choice of cheese! The pastrami sandwich was pretty good too!! And call me old-fashioned, but I loved the personal touch with the cherry in my Dr Pepper!!!

The Shore, situated within the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa, is a modern and breezy dining space that offers a Mediterranean-inspired menu with picturesque views of the Truckee River. The restaurant prides itself on its casual fine dining ambiance and uses local, seasonal ingredients to create culturally infused dishes. Guests can enjoy cocktails on the patio while taking in the scenic beauty of the river below.
This place is a standout brunch spot in Reno. The shakshuka was absolutely incredible—perfect balance of spicy and sweet. I’d come back just for that dish alone. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was rich and flavorful, and the biscuits and gravy didn’t disappoint. Coffee taste great and a solid menu across the board. Service was friendly and attentive, and the riverside setting adds to the experience.

The Shore in Reno is an absolute gem — a beautiful restaurant nestled right along the Truckee River inside the stylish Renaissance Hotel downtown. The setting is unbeatable: you can dine outdoors surrounded by the sights and sounds of the river, creating a calm, vibrant atmosphere that feels like eating right in the heart of nature. The menu is fresh, creative, and full of flavor, with options that balance modern flair and comfort classics. I ordered the eggs Benedict, and it was perfectly done — rich, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The drinks were equally impressive, crafted with care and offering just the right mix of creativity and quality. The staff were kind, attentive, and professional, making the experience even more enjoyable. Everything felt welcoming and relaxed, yet upscale at the same time. With reasonable prices, excellent service, and a view that can’t be beat, The Shore is a must-visit spot in Reno for brunch, drinks, or dinner by the river. They are dog friendly so if you have allergies or what not beware.

Excellent location. Good service. Average food. The blue cornbread under the tiny quail was dry and inedible. The bread was very dry. Center of the Plate means just that—nothing served with the duck. Not very many veggies available. Best for drinks and apps.

Lovely restaurant inside the beautiful renaissance downtown Reno Hotel. The decor is original and stunning. I loved the open spaces and varied eating areas. The food is delicious and affordable. Everything was amazing! The view, the good and the service. We had to change our reservation a few times due to our valet taking forever at our hotel and we didn't maybe it until 1:30 (they chose at 2pm) and they still accommodated us and never once did we feel rushed. Food came out quickly and was delicious. The hostess in the front was super sweet and kind. ♡♡

I have never liked hotel bars or restaurants, but this week I have been amazed by the professionalism, kindness and patience that everyone had. Food was amazing and the hosts were great. My bartenders Sean and Fernando have changed my mind about restaurants within a hotel. Every single time I came downstairs, they treated me like I was part of their family. I will be staying at this hotel again and enjoy the restaurant and the bar. 5 stars all around. Alright I'm done.

Great view of the river. Several areas to sit at. The food was plain and expensive. The lettuce on the salad was not fresh. Very processed food. It would be a good place for a drink but pass on the food. The tables need a good cleaning. The bathroom was clean. Several options for drinks.

Loved this gem. four of us had chicken sandwich biscuits so good that we came back for breakfast the next day. We had brisket biscuit sandwiches and chicken pimento sandwich and wedgie chicken biscuit. Everyone loved them. Breakfast was a treat with absolutely wonderful shrimp and grits and Cornmeal Blueberry Pancakes. Our only criticism was more blueberries please (who doesn’t want more blueberries). Super lovely restaurant with full ceiling to floor windows. Great service and loved how they seated us. I would come here everyday if I was not watching my weight.

Killer breakfast food!! Service here was fantastic-- you order at the counter, but the servers still come around and check up on you to see if refills are needed, etc. Everything we ordered was delicious. My blueberry cornmeal pancakes were perfection -- the texture was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. While they were pretty sweet, I absolutely loved them even if I wasn't able to finish my meal completely (the portions here are very generous haha). My family's various biscuits and gravy dishes were also fantastic. The gravy was flavorful, the biscuits were fluffy, and the portions were once again very generous. If you're hungry and craving a big hearty breakfast, Pine State Biscuits is a great call.

Pay first, then you are seated. Know your order when you get to the counter. I had the biscuit and gravy, with an over easy egg on top. It was fabulous. The food was so very good. The vibe was great as well. Coffee was off the charts good, and tasted like Porland Oregon, a rainy fall day helped the vibe as well. I have been wanting to eat here for a while and glad I got the time to do so. Our food was fast too like less than 6 minutes after we ordered. So if you want to eat fast this place has that figured out! They do a great job, you a should eat here.

The Moneyball biscuit and gravy was the best I’ve had in a long time. The over easy egg was the icing on the biscuit. I spoiled myself and also ordered one blueberry pancake and had to take a nap after riding my bike back across the river. I will be going back..soon. Service was great 👍🏼

There’s inside and outdoor seatings. Street parking is available near restaurant. The Reggie deluxe with shiitake gravy was creamy and delicious. The brisket biscuit was super duper dry. I’ve never had such dry meat like this one. There was no sauce besides mustard on the side. The Cajun fries were crispy golden brown and flavorful. The beignets was super dense. If it could be a little light in the dough, that would be perfect.

Heartbroken. I get this graze board every Aug 1st. And this is what it is now for $35. It's 1/3 the size of last year and $10 more. I know inflation is a thing but this is insane. 2 pieces of mango, 4 pieces of salami, 2 pieces of prosciutto, mustard, jam, sime old grapes, 3 cheeses with 12 pieces total, and some nuts. I am so sad. This was my annual ritual.

Nestled in the vibrant Midtown District of Reno, Calafuria is a charming Italian restaurant that captures the essence of Tuscany with its delightful menu. Housed in a historic brick building, this cozy eatery offers an inviting atmosphere complemented by a lovely backyard space. The culinary creations here are crafted using locally sourced ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality in every bite.
Came for dinner with a group of friends. We were sat on the side patio a little before sunset. There were supposed to be lights that automatically turn on at dusk, but for some reason didn't, so the end of our meal was mostly dark. Thankfully staff brought some lamps to have on our table. Service was very good throughout dinner. Overall the food was very good, and the portions were just right. The Ceasar was good, though could have used a little more dressing as it was a little dry. An offer of fresh cracked pepper would have been appreciated, but I was able to use some preground that was on the table. My wife ordered the ribeye and it was cooked, as she asked, to the perfect rare temperature. The carbonara was made well. I'd been wanting to come here for a while and finally did, and I was every bit as happy and impressed as I thought I would be. I'll definitely be returning to try some other dishes I was eyeing.

This is a great experience in midtown Reno. Tucked away off S. Virginia, this house turned restaurant is worth it. My wife had a perfectly cooked salmon. Light fluffy and medium well done. I had beef dish that was on special. It was delicious. It didn’t have the “wow” factor that the salmon did, but the flavor was great. We also had the olives and the bruschetta for starters. Both really good. I think next time we’ll try a few more starters, split a pasta (which looked amazing on other people’s tables), and a main. Then save room for dessert, which we didn’t have, but also looked worth the effort. All in all, a great place with wonderful staff, solid food offerings, and a cozy home vibe.
Matthew K — Google review
Tucked inside a lovingly preserved 1920s home on a quiet street in downtown Reno, Calafuria is the kind of restaurant that makes you want to linger until the chairs go up and the busboys start sweeping around your feet. From the moment my wife and I stepped through the door, we felt like we were walking into a friend’s house—a friend who just happened to have converted the back half of their home into a full-size, open kitchen. We were intrigued by the chef’s backstory: an American, classically trained in Italy, who staged at the world-famous Noma in Copenhagen, opened a restaurant in Calafuria, Italy, and then returned home to Reno to share the wealth of his culinary travels. We started light with the Caprese salad—a bit of a surprise to see cherry tomatoes where I would have expected beefsteak or San Marzano. But their sweetness perfectly balanced the mini mozzarella balls and basil chiffonnade, all drizzled with just enough balsamic and EVOO to remind you that restraint is its own art form. For our main course, we shared the Fettuccine Carbonara (homemade fettuccine, naturally) and the Ribeye with house smashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. Here’s where the quality truly came through. The ribeye was perfectly cooked—arguably the most tender cut of meat I’ve had in recent memory. A simple pepper sauce paired beautifully with the carbonara’s creamy, peppery flavors. And to be clear, this was real carbonara—no cream here. Just the luxurious silkiness of egg yolks binding pecorino, guanciale, and pasta into an unforgettable bite. The roasted bell pepper, zucchini, and Vidalia onion medley added another layer of sweetness, tying the primi and secondi together like a Tuscan sunset. Service was impeccable: warm, attentive, and never intrusive. Our server guided us through the menu with the ease of someone who clearly loves the food as much as the chef does. Calafuria isn’t just dinner—it’s transportive. A place where you can almost hear the waves of the Tyrrhenian coast in one bite and feel the discipline of a Noma kitchen in the next. Perhaps that’s the magic of this place: a quiet meritage of two culinary worlds, where French Laundry meets Noma, in the most unexpected corner of Reno.

Pretty disappointed with our service last night. Our waitress seemed annoyed from the second we walked in. Im happy to wait for good food but to be waiting on a server to even get our order on a relatively slow night in a very small restaurant is frustrating. After waiting for hours for dinner service to be complete, our server again disappeared when we were ready for the check. Food & drinks were great though as always.

I am so mightily impressed with Calafuria, I felt compelled to write this review. I had the pleasure of meeting a member of the staff, twice, and after my discussions with her, my wife and I decided to try out Calafuria for a weekend dinner date. WOW. HOLY WOW. I think this may have been the best dining experience we have had since we moved here in 2018. The bottled water was a GREAT, European, first sensation and experience. The food selection was absolutely perfect, and since Calafuria is a Coastal Region in Italy, we were both fine with the seafood-centric collection. We ordered, and drank a Tuscan Red just because, while we waited for the courses to come out. First up was the Caprese salad. FRESH Mozzarella, imported daily from Italy, along with REAL Italian olive oil, which had that just-opened effervescence and light, light taste. We literally licked the plate clean. Then came the pasta. We ordered the squid ink, and it was freakin' divine. My wife had never tasted sauce with squid ink, and she's not overly adventurous, but again - we split the dish and ate every morsel. Finally? My scallops and shrimp. Again - spiced JUST RIGHT, cooked JUST RIGHT, and the scallops literally melted in your mouth. I have to say - the entire concept of the restaurant is cool. The kitchen is accessible, the indoor-outdoor table count is just right for the staff, and you all focused on putting us in the shade, to offset the July heat. Furthermore, I LOVE the vines around the fence and up the front of the building. It keeps things private, but allows you to see the world passing by. It felt VERY authentic, and it was a wonderful experience. I collected some 3x5's from the front to pass around to friends; We were that impressed. We'll be bringing family and friends with us in future visits, for sure. OH - and the 'not every night' thing? Honestly, I wish there were MORE restaurants like that. It keeps staff from going crazy, and puts the Restauratuer in charge of quality and presentation. So thank you - our 11th anniversary couldn't have gone better. Y'all have something unique and magical, and I can't wait for some of your classes and the speakeasy to kick in so we can learn as you share a bit of your magic.
Richard W — Google review
I've been here several times. The first time I went by myself, excited by the prospect of fresh handmade pasta in town. The subsequent times, I had to be dragged against my will by friends. The amount of arrogance and pretension going on in this building is off the charts. Like others, I have been served dishes at Califuria that were absolutely disgusting - so salty it burns the mouth, pasta so undercooked it crunches in the teeth - only to be told to go pound sand when we sent it back. This feels like a 20-something chef watched a YouTube tutorial on how to make pasta and then grew an enormous ego, despite the fact that he never actually learned how to make it correctly. Anything beyond the pasta, which I have found to be consistently poorly made, is Sysco and US Foods slop with prices hiked up into the stratosphere to convince undiscerning boomers that they're not eating trash. They are, though. Califuria is trash.

Good food but the location of the menu on the wall is about the worse design in restaurant history. Kinda hard to find. The products are very photogenic, and taste very flavorful, but remember ,it’s an $8.00 hot dog, it better be original and out of this world, and they have accomplished that, the photo is of the Aloha Addict: • Chicken Kielbasa • Fresh-Baked Artisan Onion Roll • Toppings: Mango Salsa, Chopped Bacon, Chopped Macadamia Nuts, Chopped Green Onion • Swirl of Teriyaki Sauce I would definitely do it again! Good news, the place was packed on our visit, so it looks the Bam Dogs agrees with Reno’s Hot Dog food crowd, this ain’t your grandparents Wienerschnitzel....

Curious about finding the best hot dog in Reno, the wife and I headed to South Reno and Bam Dog. We found a small but quite clean restaurant with the menus on the walls with pictures. Lots of choices. Very different than most of the other dog places in Reno/Sparks. I had a basic dog with the standard toppings. The wife had a braut with sourkraut. Both dogs were darn good. The tater tots on the side were fantastic. The only reason that I can determine why Bam Dog is less than a 4 star is the short hours that they are open.

Best Bratwurst I've ever had. The chili cheese tots were also incredible. My wife and I will definitely be coming back. The balance of flavors was excellent and the food tasted fresh and not overly heavy given how savory it was. Everything tasted freshly made in house and was cooked to perfection. The tots were even extra fried to stay crunchy under the chili. The staff was very helpful and food came out quickly. The manager was even nice enough to offer us some ice cream mochi on a hot day.

Let me start off by saying they were very customer-centric. Very nice, very helpful. My wife ordered the New York bomber hot dog. I had the Italian stallion. My wife's hot dog was very good, but it should be for $5.50. mine was very bland. Which is hard to imagine in a dish with marinara, onions and bell peppers. The Italian sausage had no flavor. And at $7.50 it was not worth it. The presentation was very nice on both of them. But considering I was only 50% happy with the meal I give it three stars.

First time here but definitely be back.We ordered bacon ranch tater tots he gave us garlic parmesan tots as well. Ordered the Italian stallion it is out of this world true italian style dog. My wife ordered the Aloha Addict it is so good. Will be ordering it myself next time. Got free mochi too. This place rocks. A must visit if you are in Reno

AMAZING 🤩 place to eat, be and support! They make you feel at home and if they are out of an ingredient, they sure do make it up to you! They complimented us with mochi as well! Not only are they wonderful people, but their food is delicious! They make the best hot dogs and tots I’ve ever had and I’m not even a hot- dog person!

We tried the Rueben, Aloha Addict and the Wisconsin Cheesehead! The Rueben and Wisconsin were really awesome! The Aloha was solid as well. The tots were perfectly prepared and seasoned! The staff was attentive and polite. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys fun and tasty food!

Nothing Bundt Cakes is a bakery chain that specializes in a variety of bundt cakes, ranging from small to large sizes. They offer an extensive selection of flavors, including chocolate-chocolate chip, red velvet, white chocolate raspberry, carrot, lemon, marble, pecan praline, white-white chocolate, and cinnamon swirl. With over 40 unique decorations available, their cakes are perfect for any occasion such as anniversaries, birthdays, baby showers or office parties.
12.18.23: Either you love the Nothing Bundt Cake style or you don't. I love it and how they keep it simple and never stray from their original cream cheese frosting recipe that they're known for. I stopped in to collect my free mini bundt for my birthday and also picked up a couple other minis (lemon and strawberries & cream) and an 8 inch classic White Chocolate Raspberry Bundt Cake. ALL of it I love and have never had a problem coming in over all the years they've been located here. Today's afternoon ambience was calm and service was great.

What an absolute disappointment. Do NOT get a gender reveal cake from this place unless you want it to be wrong. I purchased a cake and chose for a blue rattle- for a boy. They completely got it wrong and did pink, ruining the gender reveal. Wouldn’t expect such mistake from such a reputable place. You would think you would triple check gender reveal cakes but they obviously dont care.

Cancelled an order on 9/11 and still haven’t received my refund. Every associate I spoke with gives me the runaround and then says my refund has gone through. Terrible customer service and unwilling to give me the correct information so I can get my money back. Don’t waste your time or money

I love these delicious cakes. I've mainly had only good experiences and my only beef would be that the 4 dozen minis I got around the holidays were less than presentable. Like chunks missing from the sides as if they were troublesome to get out of whatever they're baked in. It won't affect my patronage tho!

I contacted customer service but I didn't get a response, so sad their quality is going down, we found 2 hairs but I just took picture of the second one, I have no idea if another guest got one and they didn't say anything about it, but this was so embarrassing. Update: They called me to address the problem, I appreciate it. I'll give it a try on September for my birthday!!

Placed an order MULTIPLE days ago for delivery on my 10 year old son's birthday. I hypes him up for a surprise delivery for days leading up to his birthday. I chose delivery between 10am and 1pm knowing we werw leaving town by 2pm. I called the store at 1:10pm to see where the order was and was told they hadn't even sent it out - told me it would be delivered by 5pm. When I let her know id be gone she sat there dumbfounded on the phone and didnt know what to say (she was polite but unhelpful). She suggested to see if it makes it to my house before I leave town. I now have to panic wait for the next 45 minutes to see if it makes it and if not call back to get a refund. No apology, no discount, no compassion, nothing. Pissed off at nothing bundt cakes!!

Absolutely our favorite cakes in the world. No celebration in our family is complete without a Nothing Bundt Cake. Even my non-cake lover loves these. Sometimes I’ll opt for buying several smaller bundlettes instead of having to decide on just one flavor. So looking forward to enjoying one tonight for my youngest son’s birthday...he picked the carrot cake this time! (In case you’re wondering, one of those pics is of my oldest lighting a candle with his new laser)

Batch Cupcakery is a strip-mall bakery that specializes in selling organic cupcakes. They offer a variety of flavors, including options that are vegan, gluten-free, and paleo. This means that everyone can find a cupcake to suit their dietary preferences. Some unique flavors they offer include chocolate chip cookie dough, marshmallow cream frosting, and pistachio. Conveniently located next to Great Full Gardens, this non-GMO bakery also sells vegan goods like cookies and brownies.
I had the gluten free chocolate cupcake with dairy free chocolate ganache, and it was the best I've ever had! Moist but not too sweet, the cupcake held together beautifully with each bite! My husband said he really enjoyed his regular chocolate cupcake with cherry filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. It was moist and not too sweet. The staff that answered the phone, I called ahead to make sure there were still gluten free cupcakes available, and the staff at the counter were friendly and very helpful. Batch is my new place to go for a gluten free dairy free treat!
Susan D — Google review
The pastries are hit and miss. The cupcakes are flavorless while the cookies are good. We bought some other goodies from the buckets that were either great or okay. Seeing as how it's a cupcakery, their cakes should be on point. But the flavor is missing. You should be able to tell the difference between a vanilla cupcake and a strawberry one, but they taste the same. The chocolate cake is alright.
Yasi J — Google review
This is a great place for sweet treats for everyone! I took a variety of gluten free cupcakes to the office and told no one they were gluten free. The cupcakes and cookies were well received and gobbled up. People were shocked when I told them afterwards they were GF! I highly recommend the gluten free peanut butter cookie. AMAZING!

If you need to eat gluten free… this is the place to be. The texture of the gluten free cupcakes is so moist and they’re so flavorful, drastically different than any other gluten free baked good I’ve tried post-gluten intolerance! 12/10 since I walked in with company assuming I couldn’t get anything, and didn’t even have to pay an extra fee per usual.
Pearl P — Google review
The cupcake was pretty good, yummy and moist. But not a big selection for gluten free, only four different kinds. And this is how much I had in my latte cup BEFORE drinking it. UPDATE: You can order gluten free cupcakes ahead of time and I am excited to do so. The ones I had were delicious.

Incredible local bakery. I’ve always enjoyed whatever I’ve had from Batch but since my son’s recent diagnosis of a gluten sensitivity I’ve come to appreciate their unique offerings even more. Fantastic food and super friendly staff! Fresh food stand outside, dunno if they are connected but that was cool.

They have expanded since I was last here. They still have great bread and baked goods. We had a cinnamon roll and a breakfast sandwich. It was a good amount to share for two. The biscuit was a little dry but everything else made up for it. It's always worth a trip here and the quiches look phenomenal. We have to come back for those

This place is awesome. It has amazing homemade pastries and bread. It also has homemade sandwiches, soups, and salads. I decided to get a Caesars salad with a cappuccino. The Caesars was covered with chicken and a perfect blend of Parmesan cheese dressing and homemade croutons. I will definitely be back.

This was my first visit to this cute Bakery. They had so many options for a morning snack that my daughter and I didn't know what to get. We asked jokingly if they had a sample platter. The extremely helpful and most positively happy lady working the counter offered us samples of pumpkin bread and herb bread, the pumpkin was so soft and had nice pumpkin and spice flavors, I declined the herb bread as I feared I would fill up on samples. We kept looking and my daughter found her Nutella cinnamon roll, I opted for a breakfast sandwich on jalapeño cheese bread. But, before we got our orders we were talking with both ladies that were working and they insisted I try the fresh sourdough bread. Now, if you are looking for a store bought flavor you are in the wrong place. This bread was soft and so obviously freshly baked and absolutely delicious. My sandwich was huge and also delicious. We loved this experience. Not only was everything we tried amazing so were the lovely ladies that worked there. They were so upbeat and exuded positive energy. They were informative and attentive to everyone in the store. Outstanding customer service, that's something you don't see a lot these days. And outstanding products. 10 out of 10! Thank you!!!
Jennifer S — Google review
I found House of Bread to be a bit of a quandary. It is a bakery/sandwich shop but there were very few baked goods on display and not all of the sandwiches were advertised on the menu board. There were maybe 8 to 10 pastries displayed not many cookies and very few loaves of bread. I had to asked if they had breakfast sandwiches. The baked goods were good to very good. The breakfast croissant was very good but a little light on ham and too heavy on the cheese.
Bradley N — Google review
I asked about coffee choices and availability, and 3 different employees blew me off. I got the berry oatmeal bar (delicious and not too sweet) and a canned coke. If it wasn't for the fact it was the second place I'd tried to sit and have a convo with a friend (the first the ac was broken and hotter inside than out) i would have moved on.
Violet H — Google review
Cute shop where everything is made fresh daily. Verry tasty pastries! Large selection. Was very hard to choose! Ample seating inside and outside. Was cordially welcomed as we entered and was given explanations of pastries and even samples!
Lacreta C — Google review
We were not greeted on the way in, and it was unclear how or where to order. When I said I'd never been there before and didn't know where to order they told me I could order at the counter and they would bring it out to us at a table. The lady who was taking our order seemed irritated when I asked her about some of the ingredients. When the coffees finally came out, after we had already received our food, they were lukewarm at best. I'm really surprised after such good reviews that we had such a bad experience.

Perenn at Rancharrah is the newest addition to the Perenn Bakery empire, offering a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of Downtown/Midtown. Guests can enjoy an open kitchen concept, providing a front-row seat to all the magic happening at Perenn. The bakery offers an array of freshly baked pastries, bread, and cooked-to-order entrees. Visitors can watch bakers in action through large windows as they prepare delectable treats in a multi-layer oven.
This is one of the best pastry bakeries in the world. Not just in town, or Nevada, or the US. I lived in Hanoi. Love some great French pastries as they are still available there. Been to Paris many, many times. Love a great puff pastry filled with chocolate. But I never had a Vanilla Creme Brulee puff pastry in France. Do it! You won't regret it. Or maybe you will, later when your yoga instructor shames you for it....but not while you are eating it!

Wow! What a luxurious and delicious breakfast. We loved the Turkish eggs and egg croissant sandwich. The cappuccinos were perfect. Great outdoor seating and friendly service.

I’ve had an outstanding avocado toast with extra bacon and soft boiled eggs. The lemon peels and drizzle of chili oil gave it a unique and refreshing twist that made it stand out from any other I’ve tried. The cappuccino with almond milk was a bit stronger than I’m used to, but the rich dark chocolate and nutty notes balanced it perfectly. A wonderful spot for a cozy breakfast or coffee break!

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Long wait even though Monday morning! Perenn Bakery is a gem for pastry lovers in Reno. The craftsmanship in their viennoiserie is next-level — the kouign‑amann, baklava croissant, and prosciutto-gruyère croissant are absolutely incredible. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and I appreciate their focus on organic flour, pasture-raised eggs, and fair-trade coffee. The vibe is also great — bright, clean, and very European. You can even see the baking process, which is a nice touch! That said, it’s definitely on the pricier side. Expect to pay $6–$8 for a pastry, and sandwiches or salads can run over $20. While the pastries are totally worth it, I found some of the savory dishes a bit underwhelming for the price. Overall, Perenn is a beautiful spot to treat yourself or impress a friend — just know you’re paying for quality and atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping in for a pastry and coffee!

My fav brunch spot - super cute! The food and the pastry were always a hit!! Can only recommend it!

Disappointing! The wait time for a simple chai latte was 25 minutes; also, they only offer one size for a hot beverage, and my cup was only half full, leaving me wondering where the remainder of the drink I paid for was. Overpriced, poor service, and you don't get what you paid for. Also, while waiting 25 minutes for my drink, I noticed a giant fly buzzing through the glass inside the bakery room where they create all pastries. I would not recommend or return to this place.
Diana S — Google review
Perenn has a lot of potential to be great, but after coming here regularly for the last few months has made me question that. Let's start with the good: Atmosphere: Aesthetically pleasing on the inside, fairly spacious Food: One of the very few places that has different options for breakfast that isn't the basic American breakfast combo. Service: Friendly staff The bad: Atmosphere: Gets very loud, especially when they get busy. Tip: google gives you their "busy times" so you know when to avoid the crowds. Food: Incredibly inconsistent with quantity and warmth. I've had times where the food came out promptly and you didn't feel like they "skimped" on the food you paid for. Other times, it felt like they were scraping the bottom of the bowl and without a care gave it to you stone cold. Perhaps due to different cooks working that day and/or gets overwhelming with the crowds. Regardless, a restaurant that is managed well can still be consistent. Service: 99% of the time that I have come, the tables are not wiped even though they've been cleared off. Would be good if they had at least 2 people assigned to buss the tables, one being on the "floor" at all times during the busier times. From my observations, lack of staff, organization, and proper operations contributes to poor quality and service. For how much you pay for, this place is mediocre in my mind. A matcha latte and Turkish eggs come to $30-ish in total before tip. If a business is charging that much, then I expect better. It's sad that local businesses like this attract a large number of people for the "uniqueness" but in the end can't seem to uphold a certain standard that they so promise in their mission. However, due to the very limited options in Reno, I will continue to come here. Just less often and earlier in the day. Our people: "our team members' hard work truly makes a difference and helps us in our pursuit of unsurpassed quality". Attached are some photos, did not take pics with every visit. Lemon ricotta pancakes, variations of the crunchy brunch potatoes (extra egg, side of bacon, mushrooms instead of the bacon jam), and Turkish eggs.
Lauren W — Google review
I cannot recommend this place more! Truly the best cinnamon rolls i’ve ever had. They are croissant cinnamon rolls with vanilla bean frosting, and they are worth every penny. And despite being very busy, the staff are all so kind and patient. The inside is very lively, a bit overwhelming for me to sit and eat, so would suggest to sit outside- it’s quiet and comfortable.

Fusion restaurant
Asian fusion restaurant
Cocktail bar
Nestled in the vibrant Midtown area of Reno, Arario Midtown is a delightful eatery that beautifully marries traditional Korean flavors with innovative fusion cuisine. The name "Arario," which translates to "great heavenly energy" in Korean, truly reflects the culinary magic that unfolds within its warmly-lit space. Since its inception as a food truck by owners TJ and Hani Cho in 2016, this restaurant has blossomed into a beloved destination for both locals and visitors alike.
We were in town on a girls trip when we saw a YouTube video recommending this place so we thought we might try it out. It was the best decision we made the entire weekend!! We tried to edamame with garlic and Parmesan and also the Kimchi fries. DELICIOUS! We also had drinks recommended by our server that were phenomenal, saketini and dragon punch. It was such a cute space and the service was excellent. If you’re in the area give it a try. You won’t regret it.
Teleasa M — Google review
The staff are friendly, service was great. The lady who served me was very bubbly and friendly. Love that so much. Atmosphere was ok, restaurant is a little crammed in a tight space. I have always been skeptical of modernized or fusion dishes of Asian food, I grew up eating my family’s and friend’s dishes which were made traditionally and good. If it ain’t broken don’t change it. I’ve had restaurants who have opened up my idea and taste buds on fusion foods and modernized Asian food. The dishes served to me at Arario didn’t quite make me more delighted to try more fusion Asian dishes. If anything it’s made me want to make my own bulgogi at home after eating what I ate. I had ordered bulgogi pasta and it tasted like water bland beef pasta. In theory I thought this would be perfect since I love pasta and bulgogi, the blend of the two just doesn’t work well together at all. The poke salad, was just what I should’ve suspected greens and poke. Dessert and cocktails were probably the BEST thing I ate there. I don’t think I’ve been to a restaurant where I said the dessert and cocktails were my favorite. Fusion has been used a sloppy word in culinary and has been used to describe a chef who opens a restaurant and hasn’t mastered culinary skills in both. I didn’t like the Korean or American aspect of any dish served to me today.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday today and had such a wonderful experience! The server was friendly and quick, the food was delicious, and the place was spotless. They even sang a birthday song for my husband, which made the day extra special. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Juliene — Google review
We came here because of the good reviews even though I'm generally not a fan of Asian fusion (grew up in and travel extensively to Asia), and I was very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the beef bulgogi fusion and the classic hot pot beef bulgogi, and I really liked both. The fusion was very well done -- it wasn't trying to taste like the original version, but added a good, complimentary twist to it. The hot pot bowl was also really nice, comforting, and authentic. We'll definitely come back to try the other dishes next time. The only thing that could be improved was the service - we must've asked for our drinks (sodas) 3 times, and utensils the same - the server seemed very frazzled and absent minded despite the place being pretty empty at the time we went.

One of THE BEST Korean fusion restaurants we have ever experienced!! We had their Edamame, Sweet & Spicy K Sauce Chicken Wings, Gambas Al Ajillo & the Beef Bulgogi Bowl... absolutely INCREDIBLE flavors, heat & foodie fun with great prices!!! Thanks so much for making my 2-week work + fun stay so memorable! We'll be back the next time we're in Reno!!

Our experience at Arario was great! I'm glad that we made a reservation for Friday night because the restaurant was very full. We got seated right away, which was nice. Parking is an issue in the area because you have to find street parking so make sure to get there with enough time to make your reservation. The server was nice and friendly. The ambiance is chic casual so whether you are dressed for a night out or in hiking clothes (like we were), you won't be out of place. We ordered a Sapporo and a German Reisling for drinks. They have cocktails but I thought they were a tiny bit overpriced for cocktails. For food, we ordered the fried mackerel as an appetizer and the Ikaika bowl and the traditional beef bulgogi. The food came out pretty quickly and the portions are big. The mackerel was different and interesting. It was fried but the meat was still soft. There were small bones but easy to eat. I liked the crunch skin but my husband thought it was bitter. At times, it got tough after chewing a bit, so I'd say it wasn't perfect. The dressing that came with it was soy based and added a layer of sweetness. If you're in the mood to try something different, I'd give this a go. The Ikaika bowl was our favorite. They say it their version of a loco moco. It was very very good! The beef patty was medium well and came with a fried egg (sunny side up), black bean gravy, crunchy veggies, pita chips on a bed of rice. I should've asked for the egg to be scrambled because I hate runny yolk. But despite that, this dish was yummy. I think it needed a little more seasoning (salt) than it had. Once mixed, the gravy, the veggies, the chips and the meat really added texture to the rice. Since the portion was huge, we ended making a brunch out of the leftovers the next day. The traditional bulgogi was decent. They gave the rice separately. The beef itself was good but the rest of the dish needed a wow factor for seasoning. The portion was also quite big and we ended up adding this to our brunch the next day with the ikaika. The table accompaniments - Mac and cheese, sweet black beans, pickled cucumbers, kimchi were very Americanized. The kimchi was not as zingy as we would like. I hated that the black beans were sweet, because a savory flavor would've added a new taste texture to our food overall. I think for the portions, the prices are ok, but this restaurant is a little on the pricier side. It is worth a try for sure!
Pranjali S — Google review
There’s no words to describe the food and service but to give 💯 the food is amazing delicious and I can visualize as if I was in Korea. The seasoning is just right and I just love everything about the flavors. Pair it with a refreshing ice drink while sitting on the patio and vibing is a plus. The waitress is very kind, friendly and genuine.

The Fox Brewery & Pub is a traditional English-style pub located at 124 Wonder St. Reno, NV 89502. It offers a variety of craft brews and a menu featuring appetizers, wings, salads, burgers, sandwiches, steaks, fish and chips, pot pies, and housemade desserts. The upstairs patio provides a spectacular view for diners to enjoy their meals.
This is one of our "go to" places in Carson City. I took a risk (I'm a salmon snob) and tried the Whisky Glazed Salmon special yesterday. It was superb, along with the veggies and basmati rice. Our server was delightful (I'm drawing a blank on her name), too!

Jim, Terra, and all the staff at the Fox Brewery helped make my wedding day the most amazing it could be. Terra walked me through everything and Jim was super accommodating. The rooftop patio is a wonderful spot and we celebrated our wedding day to the beautiful sunset.

What an awesome place! We stopped for an early dinner and it did not disappoint. We had the street tacos appetizer which had a lot of tender, tasty steak. My husband had the fish and chips, which he really liked. I had the bacon guacamole burger and it was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the meat had a great flavor which is sometimes lacking in a burger. The brownie dessert was excellent as well. We will absolutely come back the next time we’re in Reno. Thank you Terra for the great service!

Our waitress was great, checked on us several times, interacted with our son, and was very cheerful. Beers were very good! However, Wife got food poisoning from the Fox Burger and sweet potato fries. Additionally my son's chicken strips were cold in the middle, and the Angry Mussels lacked flavor and were overly spicy. I love spicy food, but it reminded me of ordering a spice level of 5 at a Thai restaurant, very few want their food that hot. Plus the broth was flavorless.

We had high hopes for this place, but the service was a letdown. The gal who served us was nice enough, but she seemed spread too thin and kind of forgot about us. After taking our order, we waited around 30 minutes before she came out once to say, “oh, you haven’t gotten your food yet?” and then disappeared again. By the time our food finally arrived, it was lukewarm, and they’d forgotten the dip for my French dip sandwich, which was also lukewarm when it finally showed up. The food itself still tasted pretty good, but the experience would have been so much better with even mediocre service. We were really looking forward to dessert as well but were never offered it, and we kind of felt like we’d overstayed our welcome. To top it off, the waitress stood over me while I paid, which was awkward since I didn’t really want to leave a tip. One and done, I guess. For foodies who like to spread the word about good places, we won’t be telling anyone about this one anytime soon.

DOPO Pizza & Pasta is a vibrant and laid-back restaurant in Reno, known for its delicious pizza, waffles, homemade ice cream, and margaritas. As an offshoot of Coffeebar, it offers a diverse menu featuring tantalizing appetizers, house-made pasta dishes, craft pizzas, and iconic desserts. Guests can complement their meals with Italian-inspired cocktails, wine selections or cold craft beers.
It is hard to put into words…ate more than we should have and it was absolutely worth it! Went to the midtown location for the first time last week for a date with my husband. It was Sunday night which typically isn’t a super busy time for Midtown and we were lucky to snag the last two open seats by the bar. Loved it so much we bought 3 gift cards for friends (was particularly impressed and surprised by the number of vegan options on the menu) and ordered a pizza today at the RPM location. Just go for yourself and see why everyone is talking about it.

Great service, was told about some of the happy hour specials by the host when we were sat, knowledgeable! Didn’t get anything happy hour but the deals were good. We got the Panna Fresca and added the spicy sausage along with the Marg pizza. The sausage in the pasta was good, seemed quality!! However the pasta to sausage ratio was a bit off, LOTS of sausage for the amount of noodles. For fresh handmade noodles, they were definitely tasty, but not the best I’ve had. Always better than boxed! The pizza was phenomenal, nice crispy crust, perfect amount of cheese and I loved the sliced fresh basil on top. Our server was attentive and when we told her we hadn’t been before we got a little tour of the menu which I love. Overall cute place!! Healed the part of me craving pasta.

Great food, great service (shoutout to Colleen!) wonderful wine recommendations, we had a great family meal here on the patio and definitely will be back . 10/10! Save room for the affogato :)

My new favorite spot downtown. Perfect flavor Neapolitan style pizza. (Fig + Pig). We also had dessert and espresso "thank you for using a real espresso machine." We sat outside, lounge atmosphere, sunshades ,and lots of greenery. Service was top notch. You can tell the staff loves what they do. They really did a great job designing what was once there before them. P.s thanks for being open for the 4th of July

We've been going to Dopo for years and it's always been one of our favorite spots. This was our first time at their new location. It was so busy, which was great to see! We chose to hang out at the bar until they had an available table. Everyone was so attentive and kind - manager, bartender, servers - wonderful all around. Food, dessert, and drinks were delicious as always. We'll be back for sure!

Don't sleep on one of Reno's best pizza joints in town. Their pizza selections are both familiar and bold. The Fig and Pig is not to be missed. The cocktails are hand crafted and made to order; quite delicious. What also really shines is the stellar service; how refreshing to have such friendly, down to earth service in Midtown. Highly recommend. Grab one of the outdoor tables for a nice warm evening with a breeze.

I made an online order and got the spaghetti meatballs, and I have to admit that for $24, I was expecting a much larger portion than what I picked up, which was a small cardboard container that seemed especially small relative to what you would get for a similar price at other locally owned Italian restaurants in the area. The food itself was okay, although the meatball was a little tough and the pasta was slightly bland. I probably won’t be back, but it seems like a lot of people clearly love this place.

We went as a group of 9 on a Saturday night around 5:30. We got a handful of things and all shared. Thought each of the pizzas were super great! They have some really interesting pizzas that I hadn’t heard of before but most of the group enjoyed them.

Lunch restaurant
Peg’s Glorified Ham N Eggs is a family-owned diner that has been serving American breakfast and lunch since 1999. With multiple locations in Northern Nevada and California, it has been named the Best Breakfast in Reno for 12 years. The menu features a variety of hearty dishes including eight types of eggs benedicts, pancakes, sandwiches, and other tasty items.
Bestest breakfast ever! It was like Peg made it herself just for me. We ordered a few items not realizing each would be large portion. Ham and cheese omelette with hash browns and sourdough toast, biscuit and gravy, side of bacon, and a pancake. Each had a distinctly delicious flavor! Not like the other places where all the dishes taste the same as each other. The biscuit was so fluffy that I had to take a picture of the inside. We had a cozy two seat table with hot chocolate and fresh steaming coffee. Our server was nice and attentive, returning to the table multiple times to check on us. People were still coming in just before closing time on a weekday. I love the food and can’t wait to go back for the seasonal pumpkin pancakes. Peg’s is by far an exceptional restaurant. Sufficient parking, more close by in the next lot, same shopping plaza.

We love to gobto Pegs when in town. This one is our favorite location. The staff are always friendly(actually every location the Pegs staff is friendly.) Thee place is always clean and the food is always always amazing. We never have any complaints. We walked in and someone was ready to seat us.

We were waiting at the hospital for my sister to have surgery so we drove down the road to Peg's glorified ham and eggs and boy is it wonderful. Big huge portions. Great service. Peg's Glorified Ham & Eggs in South Reno is a must-visit for anyone craving a classic American breakfast. With its friendly service and delicious food, it's no wonder this spot has been a local favorite for years. I've been a regular at Peg's for quite some time, and I always leave satisfied. The Denver omelette, minus the onions and with a side of avocado, is my go-to. It's always cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The portions are generous, so be prepared to leave feeling full. While parking can be a bit tricky during peak hours, it's usually manageable. The overall atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. If you're in South Reno, be sure to stop by Peg's Glorified Ham & Eggs. You won't be disappointed!

Peg’s Glorified Ham and Eggs is a breakfast gem that consistently delivers a memorable dining experience. Known for its award-winning breakfast, Peg’s offers a unique combination of delicious food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere that sets it apart from the competition. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. One standout feature of Peg’s is its menu variety, catering to all breakfast lovers. A personal favorite is the “Build Your Own Omelette” option. This customizable dish allows diners to choose from an array of fresh ingredients, resulting in an omelette tailored to your exact taste. Paired with their crispy and golden hashbrowns, it’s a dish that never disappoints. For those with a sweet tooth, the French toast and pancakes are exceptional choices, offering a perfect balance of fluffiness and flavor. The biscuits and gravy, another crowd favorite, are rich, hearty, and simply irresistible. Beyond the food, the environment at Peg’s is warm and inviting. The staff are consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to providing top-notch service. Their hospitality enhances the dining experience and makes every visit feel like a treat. Adding to the charm is the coffee, which is always served hot and fresh—a perfect complement to any meal. Everything at Peg’s is thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. It’s clear why the restaurant has earned its reputation for excellence. Whether you’re craving a classic breakfast or looking to try something new, Peg’s Glorified Ham and Eggs is sure to exceed expectations. Come hungry, leave happy, and be ready to return for another outstanding meal.

After a 27 min wait (were told 15), we were seated at a table with remnants of dried jam from previous diners. We ordered a standard 2 eggs/bacon(extra crispy) breakfast with toast, and French toast with a side of 2 eggs and bacon (extra crispy). After about 20-25 minutes, our food arrived, and had obviously been sitting on the pass for awhile. All of the eggs were cooked properly but were cold. The side of bacon I ordered with my french toast consisted of 1 whole piece (slightly crispy) and 1 half piece of mediocre room-temperature bacon. I asked the waitress for the other half of my piece of bacon and she seemed to take it as a personal offense. She brought me another piece of cold rubbery bacon and then ignored our table for the rest of our meal, other than to bring the check. My french toast had been cooling on the pass and tasted like it had been cooked earlier and reheated, and had a rubbery feel. The single piece of sour dough bread was stale and not suitable as toast (maybe it's the old sandwich bread they're trying to use up). The 4 pieces of bacon my dining partner ordered spanned the spectrum of rubbery and limp to crunchy. Zero seasoning on the eggs and the food was not even good enough to finish, so we each left about half of our meal. I went to pay at the front counter and was simply told the amount. The hostess did not ask how our meal was, did not thank us for our business, and did not offer pleasantries of any kind, she only asked if I wanted a receipt copy. This is the third time I have eaten here, and each time has been progressively worse, this time definitely being a dismal showing. We won't be back to spend $40 on a simple breakfast worth less than half the price. I've had better service and food at a Waffle House or Denny's. The name is perfect, as "Glorified" is defined as "something that has been made glorious, honored, or praised excessively, often to a degree that exaggerates its true importance or splendor"...a fitting name for this overrated Reno eatery

In town for the Strange Brewfest and wanted to load up on food before arriving. Unfortunately we arrived at noon and the kitchen didn’t open until til 2. Not sure if this is the normal kitchen times for a Saturday or if it was due to a sick call. Had a beer before leaving for a nearby bbq restaurant. I had heard great things about their menu, so I was disappointed. But there will be other trips to Reno and other opportunities to try Pignic. They do have an amazing variety of oddball smoothie sours in cans. Outdoor patio area is nice. Inside is not your normal restaurant vibe, which really adds to the personality and charm. Staff was super friendly.

Perfect stop for a chill afternoon drink! The patio was shaded and the fans lightly misted to keep you cool. There was a great selection of draft beers and friendly staff greet you when you walk in to what almost appears to be someone’s home converted into a bar. So eclectic and fun!

Great place to chill. We were visiting from out of town, but wanted a local place that wasn’t a casino. Ended up here, watched some college football, had great food and a decent selection of draft craft beers! Highly recommend!

Great lively bar. Came here after a bad experience at nearby bar brewers cabinet. This placed rocked. The servers were friendly and helpful. We all had a great time here. Drinks were delicious. I like that you can bring your own meat to grill here. There is also a food truck on site if you get hungry. Will definitely come back here.

Really enjoyed the food here. The flavors are quite pleasing the millions of salivating taste buds. The beer selection is not bad...too many flavor beers for me, but I still was able to find one I wanted to try. We sat outside under the protection of the umbrella on a warm Fall day. Dogs were plentiful...even ours found a friend to sniff. All in all it was delectable.

Great spot for a quick lunch. Service was fast and friendly. The food was delish, the fried calamari was golden and so good, none of that heavy grease taste. My coconut soup was amazing, generous portion and piping hot. We also ordered some chicken and veggies, fresh and delightful. I Highly recommend checking it out !

2 words. Pumpkin Curry. I've eaten here several times and I have no complaints. Always flavorful, hot, and well cooked, so 5 stars. I mean just look at the food. It tastes every bit as good as it looks. The location has one of the best views of the downtown and financial district with the biggest little skyscrapers in the west. There's 7 American flags within view of the patio. Am I missing any? Visit, eat, and drink and get some ice cream next door cause it's damn good.

Having been to the Sacramento midtown location, being in Reno for business I just had to stop in. I wanted to see if the Reno location would be as good as the 5-star Sacramento restaurant. IT IS! Okay, I started off with fresh rolls, and calamari appetizers, these were SO GOOD. OMG, then the Drunken Noodle dish, it was spectacular. I always order Thai Tea when I am home in Sacramento, so I tried it in Reno. PERFECT. The owner (Ric) was super attentive and he was excited to learn that I was from Sacramento. He recommended we try new IPA beers which were great. The interaction with the staff was awesome. It is so good to see an owner who is kind, supportive and attentive with his staff. I will be going back to the Coconut Downtown on my next Reno trip.

I am a Thai food lover and I eat it whenever I can. This food was literally the best I've ever had. The chef is so good at what he does. I asked my server which items were the lowest in sodium. Since he didn't know he asked the chef. The chef was so kind that he prepared it with less salt than typical. What struck me the most was how perfectly everything was cooked. The vegetables weren't over cooked and still bright and colorful. The tofu had the perfect texture. I could tell that this person REALLY cared about cooking perfectly. I was so impressed that I spoke with the chef and I found out that his old job was mathematical. You can tell that this guy was very precise in each step of the cooking process.

We never had the chance to try the food because after wIti for 10 min to even order drinks or get water we left and went next door to the Italian place which was amazing. I can only hope the food at coconut was better than the service

Went for lunch at Nothing To It today at 1PM. Had never been to their restaurant before, just their store in front. They seated myself & 3 friends promptly at 1PM, as we had a reservation. They not only have a compact menu page that doesn't take you an hour to get through, but they have either hand made sandwiches on their great tasting focacchia bread, unexpected, but welcomed side salads, or full-on salads, full of goodies & bits that will fill you up, & delight your tongue...along with several different teas, either cold or hot, & other unexpected & refreshing drinks. Kelley was our server, & did a great job serving & making sure we were happy with our selections & well taken care of. You can either choose the airy outside seating or open feeling dining area, & for a pittance of what you would pay elsewhere. Well worth the trip from both; Cold Springs & the Spanish Springs area! Already looking forward to another luncheon out because...there's Nothing To It! One of us celebrated their birthday, & they never rushed us out. Oh yeah...we'll be back...birthday or not! Customers can enjoy a delectable selection of specialty coffees and even create their own flight from the menu. The establishment is praised for its delicious strong coffee, friendly baristas, and commitment to environmental sustainability by planting trees with every purchase.
I love visiting local spots when I travel, and I was so excited for this place when I found out they offered specialty Tea Flights! After choosing the teas I wanted to try, I waited a little while enjoying the chill and airy atmosphere. Other pluses: restrooms are clean, and the staff is very personable. I enjoyed trying each tea in my flight, and I was pleasantly surprised by the Toasted Marshmallow Hojicha, which was my favorite out of the bunch (the warm Lavender Fields was a close second). I was also told that they offer coffee tastings. Definitely worth checking out!

I really like this place! I love the coffee and Sky's service and hospitality are outstanding! I only began drinking coffee in my late 40s, and I enjoy sampling new and freshly roasted coffees. After moving here a few years ago, I was seeking that coffee shop that was different...whose coffee one could actually taste and smell the differences among the many varieties! Rising for the Peeps is just that shop! Their Coffee Flight is an outstanding way to try four very unique coffees in one sitting, and also give yourself a wonderful sensory experience. The Mochas (my original gateway drug into coffee), the Lattes, and the many different coffees (taken black) have all been wonderful. Sure the shops beverages cost a bit more, and Sky's cause is just and i agree with it. In these days of $15 to $20 cocktails, a dollar or two more for really high quality coffee seems worth it. Also, I also can't ascribe to the ubiquitous Corporate coffee shops that seemingly abound in this area and have driven out many of the boutique coffee shops. Hence, Rising for the Peeps is my go-to beanery for high-quality coffee! Check it out...It's wonderful!

Love the vibe. Chill, clean, bright, thoughtful. People here are super nice, although the drink prep for a to-go order was a little slow, so plan ahead. Pastries look good.
