Pub
The Little Ale House is a cozy, family-owned pub with a welcoming atmosphere and an extensive selection of microbrews. Embracing the traditional style of a proper pub, this intimate establishment prioritizes conversation and rustic charm over modern distractions like TVs and background music. The pub's dog-friendly patio and ever-changing array of ales create a convivial setting for visitors to enjoy.
This ia a real gem of an alehouse. I don't go to pubs anymore - I much prefer a latte these days. But today I really fancied an ale as it was my birthday recently but it was midweek so I thought I'd treat myself today. So I googled pubs in Harrogate (I'm not from there) and this one came as highly recommended. And so right they were. I went around 12.30p on a Saturday amd the real fire was lit, there was a lit candle on each table, no music playing, no TV. Bliss! Great service and a fab dark beer. I cannot recommend it enough. Fabulous!

Made a special trip here for flat ciders, They had three different ones on. Friendly staff, lovely little pub with a beer garden at the back and on the front too. A real sun trap. Deffo will return here.
Andy S — Google review
Only made a quick half pint pit stop to this micro bar as Jorvic told me that it is in the CAMRA 2025 Good Beer Guide. Choice of 5 real ales. Casta told me to have the Wharfedale best. Very good. One room bar with small front terrace. Opens late afternoon.
MADDOGLEP — Google review
Ok I'm going to make a bit of a statement here, this is the nicest ale house in Harrogate. Stunning little place and very interesting. They had a few nice beers on and we enjoyed the nice little beer garden they have, you can also sit up front or down in the cellar. We'll Definity be returning for more beer.
Steven T — Google review
Absolutely amazing. The little cute boy Joshua who served me was one of the prettiest and sweetest servers I’ve ever had. He asked me out after I was done drinking and I’ve never felt younger again. Forget being 59 I felt 20 again. The beer garden was lovely and the inside was cosy. Will be back and not just for Joshua 😉
OLEDders — Google review
Best craft beer bar in Harrogate in my opinion, plenty of space inside and outside. Lots of options on keg or cask. Very nicely done out. I would definitely recommend going for any beer enthusiast
George T — Google review
Loved this place which had a good selection of beers and wine!
S T — Google review
My kind of pub---very welcoming staff, great beer and a few different seating spaces inside and outside, all blessedly free of music and TVs and filled with like-minded drinkers. I had a lovely time drinking in a cosy room with tables lit by candles and vintage furnishings.

Function room facility
Hales Bar, the oldest pub in Harrogate, is steeped in history and known for its eerie tales of poltergeists and mysterious shadows. The mid-18th century establishment boasts Victorian-era fixtures, including gas lighting that adds to its unique ambience. The pub offers classic food options and a selection of real ales in a well-preserved lounge bar area with original fittings.
Came for a quick drink with friends. First visit. Really nice cosy pub. Two bars, one very quiet and the other very busy. Not a huge place but we were able to get a table. The busy bar was much more warmer, welcoming and more interesting. Very good choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Service was friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.
Michael C — Google review
Casta assures me that I have been here before but I have no recollection, even of the gas lamps on the bar. A one room pub with a rear beer garden. A choice of 5 real ales in this Cask Marque pub. Jorvic chose the Rooster's Yorkshire best. Yummy scrummy! Lovely pub.
MADDOGLEP — Google review
It was so good! The oldest pub in Harrogate and it shows with its charming and antique features . Bar staff gave me a tour of the place and explained the history which was appriciated. Loved the pies and mash! I also had a lovely blonde beer that tasted perfect. You can tell the cask is well looked after! Thank you so much for a lovely rainy pit stop. And thank you to Tiggy behind the bar who was the funniest bar tender I ever met!

Fantastic bar , great atmosphere. A taste of old beers . Staff happy to let you taste beers before ordering. Proper old pupil house

Lovely bar, really enjoyed our visit. Didn't eat so could not rate the food. Great service, thanks to Suzi who made us really welcome.

A CAMRA Heritage pub with a classic interior you just have to see (Main bar to the right) All the cask ales appear to be locally brewed inc the Hale’s Pale which is spot on. A proper drinkers pub - no food served.
Mark N — Google review
Been coming to Harrogate for years and never visited this place. Proper old school pub with wide range of drinks. Many many original fittings including gas lighting. Amal but nice enclosed beer garden. Well worth a visit.
Jim D — Google review
Classic & oldest pub in town...lots of history. Nice, friendly & pretty lady at the bar. We just had the disappointing standard too weak UK beer & chips. In the USA beer is 5.4% to 7.5% alcohol & up...come on UK step it up! But don't drive after visiting Hales....but most folks walk due to no parking near by.

Major Tom's Social is a vibrant and trendy bar located in Harrogate, established in 2014. This kid-friendly establishment offers a relaxed atmosphere with vintage furniture and serves craft beers along with oven-fired pies. It is known for its focus on vintage decor and as a music venue, making it one of the best pubs in the region for music enthusiasts. In addition to locally sourced guest beers, they offer fresh homemade pizzas and a variety of craft beers from well-known breweries.
Lovely pub with live music and a great selection of ciders and beers in a quirky location. The band here were fantastic
Finnuala Q — Google review
I had no idea what to expect about Tom's apart that it sold real ale and pizza. Walking upstairs above a charity shop, you can hear the buzz off the music and voices. Tha bar has a great selection of ales and choice of pizzas. The prices aren't cheap but still didn't put me off as this is usually the way. The venue has a great vibe with people of all ages just enjoying a beer and food. They also sell tee shirts with there logos. I would definitely recommend this place to stop off for a great pint and fantastic atmosphere.
Carl P — Google review
A surprising entry to the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2025. A very eclectic establishment upstairs tbo an open bar Good real ale gets them into the guide. Jorvic bought me the Rooster's Yorkshire Best. Casta ordered a pizza. Good but the base was too soft, he likes a well done crispy base.
MADDOGLEP — Google review
I had a lovely pint of beer as I waited for our pizzas. Lovely selection of beers; tasty pizzas and great music being played. Most enjoyable.
Simon C — Google review
Ended up coming here during a party and had a great time! The beers were nice, the vibe was excellent, and the food was good. We didn’t get pizza but I wish we had, they looked delish
Sarah D — Google review
Nice casual craft beer place, would definitely come back to try their pizzas!
S T — Google review
I had to edit this review as we popped back in for another visit! This time we had a couple of cocktails and bought pizza! The margaritas were great, but the pizza was amazing. Many thanks AGAIN This was a really funky bar and the pizzas looked amazing. Loads of different beers on offer and from breweries close to Harrogate. These three tasted great. Many thanks
Adam R — Google review
A well established bar/social venue. Lovingly themed in a retro style. It's fairly unpretentious and diverse, as long as you can get up the stairs (I don't think there's a lift). It's also dog friendly. The drinks tend to be a really interesting selection, with a lean to craft and independent breweries. There are non-alcoholic beer options. The food is good, although pretty much limited to pizza or a couple of salads. There are several vegan pizza options. As it's open plan, it can be pretty loud at busy times - difficult to have a quiet conversation.

Alexandra is a spacious British pub located in a restored 19th-century hotel, offering craft beer, cask ales, and bar fare. The interior features Victorian-era woodwork and historical prints showcasing the history of Harrogate. Modern amenities include large screen TVs for watching live sports while enjoying food and drinks. The pub offers a variety of regular ales as well as rotating selections from local brewers.
I cant comment on the food because I didnt have any but the peroni was very nice, the staff were very friendly, the location was great, the pub was very nice inside and the toilets were clean. A very ice pub indeed.
Robert B — Google review
Very small portion sizes in contrast to previous reviews. 6 pigs in blankets for £5.50 is rather extortionate. It took almost 1 hour for 2 pies to come out - it was not overly busy. The staff were apologetic which was appreciated. Would not recommend as portion sizes are bad and the food is average.
Claudia P — Google review
Stopped in Harrogate for lunch and found this bar, looks great inside with some history thrown in (check out the walls). Unfortunately when we got there they had no Sunday lunches left but did have a steak and ale pie which was amazing and the veg with it was nice too. I would 100% recommend.

Called in yesterday for lunch with my friend after a girly morning shopping. This pub is a real ale delight. Ordered lunch brilliant deal sandwich and a drink for £10. A real bargain. Food was excellent, brilliant service, really friendly staff. Will definitely be calling there again.

Very fussy about fish pie but out of ten would score it a solid 8 . The chicken and chorizo was very tasty but the brocolli was undercooked . The staff were pleasant and we would return to have another meal in the future .

Nestled within the historic remnants of Harrogate's original train station, the Harrogate Tap is a charming pub that beautifully marries tradition with a vibrant beer culture. With its inviting wood-panelled interiors and Victorian decor, this cozy spot offers an impressive selection of over 130 bottled beers from around the globe, alongside 12 cask ales and 15 modern keg taps. The atmosphere here is enhanced by its railway heritage, making it an ideal stop for travelers heading to Leeds or York.
Fantastic range of beers, ales, lagers etc. Super conveniently located at the railway station. Space to sit outside if you want to, but the inside is a gloriously old school wood panelled and tiled floors joy. Plenty of friendly staff!
Kate D — Google review
First time at this pub, good selection of beers and 4 ciders (3 flat). Quite a big pub and handily located right next to Harrogate Railway station.
Andy S — Google review
A fabulous pub located next to Harrogate train station. The service is really friendly and the selection of brilliant beers is extensive. The interior is traditional and incredibly clean and well kept. There is a wide range of customers of all ages and the range of beers and spirits on offer is worth the visit alone.

Jorvic and Casta having a mini break in Harrogate. Starting here in this wonderful station bar. Part of the super Pivovar pub collection. All great. This completes the set. Only our second trip to Harrogate. Twelve real ales to chose from. Casta told me to have the 4.2% best bitter " Cannon" by Tapped Brew. Excellent. Lovely two room bar with plush fittings, lots of wood panneling and leather bench seating. Some outdoor seating in front of the car park. No direct access to train platforms unless in an emergency. Great start. Well worth its place in CAMRA 2025 Good Beer Guide.
MADDOGLEP — Google review
Large selection of varied taps, beautiful interior and great location from the station. A must visit for travelling beer lovers. Also a large selection of can to take out.

Neil W — Google review
Built at the train station, the Harrogate tap is a great place to wait for your train and relax with a drink or have one after a long train journey. Lots of cask and keg beers in a relaxed environment. I went for a cask after checking what was on using untapped app. The bar is an old school wooden affair that suits the age of the building. Will call in again when I next go to Harrogate.

North Bar is a well-known and picturesque bridal boutique located in North London, with its flagship store in Islington. The owners, Jane and Maria, have extensive experience in the industry and offer a diverse collection of gowns to cater to various tastes. Moving northward, Ripon is a charming town featuring attractions such as the magnificent Cathedral, marina area, gardens, racecourse, and interesting museums.
Always a delight. A fantastic range of Craft and Real Ales and plenty of window space to watch the world go by. On my latest visit felt the place could do with some maintenance. The Disabled Toilet was out of order as was one of the Gents toilets. In addition for a brewery there was no North beers on.
David E — Google review
What a nice surprise. I didn't expect Real Ale in the North Bar. But they had two on - both very good. Also, a nice, relaxed atmosphere and really nice staff. I would definitely recommend and I'll definitely be going back. Excellent!!
Hgate 6 — Google review
A really pleasant place to go and enjoy a pint or two. Outdoor seating area in the sunshine as well as comfortable seats inside. The guy that served us was lovely and gave off the sort of vibe that he enjoyed his job. Table service was offered, but that would have prevented us from umming and ahhing over the huge choice of beers! Board games available to play (as well as Uno style games) Nice clean toilets- always a bonus!
Laura C — Google review
Another crafty place right up my street! This was our goto place as it was so close to our accommodation! Good selection of craft beers… just a shame they didn’t have any impy stouts after a purchased the last one from the fridge!

Friendly member of staff served us, was fairly quiet but still a good atmosphere and it was 1 o'clock on a Sunday too so maybe that's why it was a little quiet. Very nice cider, I would definitely come back again.

Restaurant was wonderful! Just what we needed after a long two days of traveling across the pond! The food was yummy! Had the best time during my day out! The food and drinks were top-notch, and I couldn't fault the cleanliness or atmosphere. Must first say Jennifer was very friendly very professional in here approach to me and my family. I had bang bang chicken i found it really good and would give 5 stars no problem. As my daughter pointed out we were 4 adults and a child of 2 and a half . .it would of been better if the child's food come first before four adults. We waited 10 minutes for the child's food after our food. Not the biggest problem but maybe look into it for other families. My grandson had schnitzel and chips . He only tells me after the chips were stone cold . My daughter and son-in-law had small plates. Tasty prawns amazing. Oioion bhaji were over cooked and they looked very dark . 100 pound with 2 beers 3 soft drinks and a tap water so yes I will comment. But over all fair to good . Hope this helps .

Great place, food was fantastic, tried the beef sandwich+cup of soup of the day ,was a perfect post-gym pick me up 🤗. Beef was flavorful, juicy and a good portion. Had a mango-pineapple-passion fruit smoothie too, which was very delicious. Highly recommend!!! 🤌🏻🫶🏻 Good value for money.

We had our wedding reception at Starling in October 2025 for 80 guests. Joe was a great host and helped us make our day super special. As did all the staff at Starling who worked really hard to make our day run smoothly. The guests commented on how nice the pizzas were. The atmosphere was great and there was a good split for guests between the barn being the DJ room and the middle floor being a more relaxed area where people could talk. The service at the bar was great and efficient. We would not hesitate to recommend Starling for wedding or event.

Breweries
Cold Bath Brewing Co, located in the spa town of Harrogate, draws inspiration from European countries like Belgium and the Czech Republic to create clean session craft beers using Yorkshire water. The brewery's Taproom on Kings Road serves as the hub for recipe development and offers a variety of their locally-sourced malt and hops-based beers. With a modern twist on the traditional pub, this brewery pub provides an open and contemporary atmosphere perfect for beer enthusiasts.
Casta spotted the one Harrogate Brewery we had never tried. Sat opposite the conference centre is the micro brewery and Tap room. Three of their beers sold via handpump plus another 11 on keg tap. Jorvic spotted a second room selling Japanese/Korean inspired food. There is also a front covered patio. Useful on a wet July afternoon.

Great selection of beers and ales, and the wine on offer was excellent. Dog friendly. Visited on a Friday early evening and the place filled up quickly. Lovely sunny spot at the end of the day. The food was very tasty. Expected the staff to be a lot friendlier from the reviews but they seemed more interested in each other, it was busy however struggled to get a smile even when being served.

Friendly staff with a good selection of beers, particularly their own. Mainly keg with a small cask offering. A large choice of bar snacks available (main food offering was not available at the time of my visit). Spacious inside and out, with a roof over the outside seating so was still decent when raining. I'd say it was lacking a little bit of what I would class as top class craft beer but still nice.

Really good pint in a cool setting. The choices are so many for the beer that anyone could find one they like. Set aside an afternoon or evening and get tasting.

Tried both of the Wit beers , orange and cardamon, and the peach, both refreshing. Food , had Hoisin duck rice bowl, very nice. Servers a bit keen in collecting glasses !

Busy brew pub serving a number of interesting keg beers and a couple of cask ales. Staff explained what beers they had, not cheap but decent Place generally buzzing. Great choice of fast Asian food. But too many dogs allowed to wander around inside, together with on Friday night a dog standing on the furniture being fed. Come it's becoming too dog friendly.
Kevan F — Google review
So it has so many positives but, on the night I visited, the bare-bones of it has to be beer focused and on that score it's nice but missing the "punch". Now I'd just got back from holiday and trying some very exciting Croatian Nova Runda brews but the Hazys and the Fruities just didn't deliver enough. However as a venue it was lovely...really diverse (for Harrogate) old, young, babies in prams and dogs of all sizes so 90% success and all heart for the next step

Impressive draft beer selection from the category 1 to 10. Owner recommended 5 1/2 option - perfect for a larger pour. 🍺 love it 😍 and it would be the best tap larger I tried so far in the UK, this is probably due to the local spring water.

If you're looking for a laid-back spot to enjoy drinks, bar snacks, and engaging conversations in Harrogate, then Tap on Tower Street is the place to be. This independent establishment offers a unique and pleasant atmosphere for visitors. With a wide selection of cask, keg, and tap beers as well as excellent service from attentive staff members, it's an ideal spot to unwind. Additionally, the pub features a diverse collection of board games for entertainment.
Making my first ever visit to this CAMRA Good Beer Guide regular with Jorvic and Casta. Throw in a Cask Marque as well. Five real ales available on our visit with a couple waiting to go on. Jorvic chose the ever reliable Boltmaker. A Timothy Taylor's best bitter. Super pub wraps round the central bar. Large front patio on a reasonably quiet side street opposite the Travel Lodge. Another rear beer patio.

This is one of my favourite pubs of all time. I think the landlady has been here around 7 years & she has done an amazing job. It's consistently good every time I visit. Really good choice of well kept ale & a fantastic range of bar snacks as well as pizza etc. Really good beer garden, brilliant lighting, music, board games, decor & sharp service. It appeals to all ages & is well worth seeking out in the back streets. If I lived near here I'd be there all the time.

Lovely, cozy local pub. A blessing after so many ugly contemporary ones, a place to get a pint and chill. As it should be. Offers live music Tuesdays and is dog friendly.

What a disgrace! I agreed to meet a few friends at the Tap so looked on their website to see which beers they served. Timothy Taylor's Landlord @ £4.00 and Boltmaker @ £3.80. Perfect I thought, only to be charged £5.60 for Landlord and £5.00 for Boltmaker. Not even close to the website prices.

Cracking venue, wish more town centre pubs were like this. Well kept beer, an excellent selection of rums and food (bar snacks) were of a pretty standard. Friendly staff

We love The Tap; excellent board game selection, good local beers on tap, and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended. Plus great pork scratchings! We also tried the pizzas, which were delicious, and played lots more board games. Definitely a place to try.

With over 35 years of experience, it offers a great selection of craft beer, spirits, and coffee. The cozy interior provides a comfortable setting to enjoy the variety of drinks offered. It's an ideal spot for larger gatherings and is praised for its friendly staff.
A beautiful Bar in the heart of Harrowgate... This venue was refurbished by Punch a few years ago and still looks stunning. Photos show Christies is pristinely clean and looks a comfortable place to enjoy the live sports on multiple Tvs throughout the bar area. Limited paid parking on the road outside.

Surprisingly large pub with a Cask Marque. Three real ales and a real cider. Jorvic ordered Mad Goose Purity. Casta on a diet Coke. TV's showing cricket in Manchester while it rains in North Yorkshire. Grrr. A good size front terrace for sunnier or drier days.

Great bar, staff are so welcoming and friendly and always serve you with a smile. Great to watch sports on the multiple TVs. Beer garden is beautiful and very well kept; you wouldn’t think you’re sat in a beer garden in the middle of a Town Centre with all the flowers, hanging baskets and beautiful landscaping. Oh best pint of Guinness I’ve had in a very long time. Top job.

The Disappearing Chin is a charming independent bar in Harrogate that offers a wide selection of craft beers, seasonal cocktails, wines, and spirits. The cozy setting with comfy sofas welcomes guests to bring their own food or even order takeout while enjoying their drinks. Despite its small size, the bar stands out with its unique beer offerings and handcrafted cocktails. The friendly staff ensures professional service and a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the bar hosts a weekly quiz night with cash prizes for the winners.
On first impressions it looks more like an independent coffee shop, but instead there’s a unique range of beers and a wide range of hand made cocktails in a small but cosy setting. The vibe is different to anywhere else locally but the friendly staff ensure everything is served with professionalism and the quality of the cocktails stands out. A pleasant change from any of the other larger options and I’ll certainly be returning.

Stumbled across TDC whilst in Harrogate at the weekend and was massively impressed by the selection of craft ales & friendly welcome from the owner. Although only small, the bar also had a nice seating area at the back (which backs onto the main shopping street) so were able to enjoy a nice beer in the sunshine! Went into a few other bars whilst there, this was the best by far... wish we'd gone back!

Stylish Italian restaurant Lucia Wine Bar & Grill with delicious dishes and world-class ingredients provides a unique dining experience in the heart of picturesque North Yorkshire. Restaurant is open from morning to night and offers ideal setting for drinks and dining in stylish surroundings. However, on one occasion disappointingly poor treatment resulted in guests being seated in a different room.

We’ve been meaning to return to Harrogate and try this restaurant, so we were pleased to see there was availability for 9:30pm. We were seated promptly, and a man came over and asked if we wanted any drinks. I’m not a big drinker, I don’t like the taste of alcohol too much so I asked if the cocktail could be made sweater (and be easy on the alcohol) at first he said no? - I asked “I can’t have the drink sweeter” a few times but I think the confusion was due to there being abit of a language barrier maybe? - once I repeated the full question again, he said yes. The drink was tasty, so it was worth all the confusion. I think the lamb croquettes were plain, and my main meal being the baked beef dish was also plain. My partner had the fried Brie and the pasta dish with lobster- initially he thought it was nice but now the food has settled, he has an upset stomach. I feel like the service, apart from the drink order was non existent. They didn’t check up on us to ensure we were okay, when we were finished with our food they all just stood around and didn’t bother to ask if we were done, it wasn’t busy whatsoever. It was 10pm at this time, which I saw on the website was closing time so I thought they’d be in a rush to close down and take payments etc but I was wrong. We had to flag them down. We 100% regret paying the service fee & we definitely wouldn’t return. The restaurant vivido (across the road) is much better.

Food was amazing and the service was so quick and friendly! We had the set menu - 2 courses for £22 which was really good value and after seeing a few desserts walk on by during the main course we couldn't help but go for dessert too. Everything was great I would love to go back.

Excellent. Vibrant and tastefully decorated restaurant. More than Italian but you can sense the primary influence. Food was really good. Prices are realistic and good value. Service seriously good. Plenty of outdoor drinking and eating space and I can well imagine on a summer’s day this would be a perfect location. Minutes from The Majestic Hotel and the town centre.
Vince A — Google review
Great food and atmosphere. Not too pricey, with good waiting staff. Expect it to get busy on the weekend. I had the steak skewers, which was great. All the food looked good that I could see. One thing the place doesnt seem to advertise that well, is it has a massive gluten free menu. Practically 3/4 the menu seems to be gluten free. One last thing to mention it has a great looking outsoor terracd, which i inagine would be brilliant in the summer. Would reccomend and would go again.

The Ivy Harrogate Garden is a stylish and sophisticated venue offering all-day British fare in a luxurious setting. The restaurant boasts high ceilings, Art Deco features, and antique ornamental pieces, creating an elegant atmosphere for dining. Despite its ornate decor, the ambiance is informal and laidback, making it an ideal spot for brunch or evening meals. With a bar area and terrace garden, guests can enjoy modern British cuisine along with cocktails in gorgeously styled interiors.
Booked for my daughters wedding day brunch here and was not disappointed. The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic with a price tag that I was really pleased about. No parking was the only downside, and it was a little cold when the back patio doors were opened. The decor inside is gorgeous, and you can see why people flock here. It is very highly recommended if you're in the area and want quality food served by attentive well trained staff.

This was my first ever visit to an Ivy restaurant and to say i was amazed by the beautiful interior would be an understatement. The moment you walk in you’re greeted by staff who look after you very well throughout your entire meal. The food was on another level, i had the ossobuco which i was apprehensive towards at first but it was honestly incredible. When the staff found out we were celebrating two birthdays, they brought out two complimentary, birthday desserts!! Lovely atmosphere, fantastic service and top tier food!

Incredible breakfast today celebrating a special occasion (release of my second book)! Keira was so attentive, kind and affable and the food was excellent. Ordered from the two course £20.95 Heritage menu, was known as the 1917 menu when I went there. The starter I had was very nice, fried truffle rice balls as I recall, tasted fresh and a decent portion size. I had a main course of shepherd's pie which tasted very nice however the portion size was just as big as my starter, if not slightly smaller. I appreciate it is a fixed price, two-course menu which may well have been why my portion size was small but I didn't order any sides because I was under the impression that the main would be slightly bigger than the starter which wasn't the case here at all and I left here still feeling hungry. Atmosphere in the restaurant was excellent, was very busy but the staff were great too, kept checking-in with us to make sure everything was OK which it was in terms of the quality of the food but not the portion size but that isn't down to the waiters so no point bothering them with that.

We came here for breakfast on the 6/10/25 and were served by the lovely Kiera. She was so warm and welcoming with plenty check backs and the food impeccably presented. The Fat Badger is a stylish English pub located in Harrogate, with a terrace and traditional food. The pub offers a cozy atmosphere, especially during colder months, and has outdoor seating for warmer days. It's known for its roast dinners featuring tender meat and seasonal vegetables, as well as its Sunday set menu offering starters and desserts. The menu caters to various dietary preferences with vegan and gluten-free options, along with small plates for those who prefer variety.
We had a really nice Sunday lunch here. The Sunday set menu offers great value for money. The roast beef was good and came with the biggest Yorkshire pudding I've ever seen. There's some vegetarian opinions on the menu. It's well worth getting the side portion of Cauliflower and cheese sauce. They had a good range of local beers on offer. It is accessible to wheelchair users, but it's very tight to get up the ramp to the side of the main entrance.

Absolutely brilliant on all counts. Great gasto-pub. Love the theme, the atmosphere. Great location, the seating outside is perfect. We had two dogs with us and they're more than welcome outside. Umbrellas and good heaters to keep you warm when the weather is a little less than ideal. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was brilliant! We ended up eating at The Fat Badger in York as well 2 days later because we loved it so much. Both locations were equally as good! When we're next in the area we'll definitely eat here. Thoroughly recommend. Even parking on site! (Although a little more expensive than in town, but for the convenience totally worth it! )

A great find. A lovely old bar style in a grand building in the heart of Harrogate. We popped in en route to York and just wanted a quick sandwich. We chose just a cheese and chutney sandwich, thinking it was just going to be basic and something to fill a gap. However, it came in a beautiful, warm crusty bread. The sweet onion chutney was wonderful and this was accompanied by a nice, leafy salad in a pleasant dressing and some crisps. We really enjoyed it. I must say, the main meals looked a bit pricey, but we were OK with the sandwich price, just under £9, if I remember correctly. No worries with beers and lagers, a good selection. I chose Black Sheep beer, which went well with the sandwich. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There is a parking charge of £1.50 per hour at the covered car park adjacent. You can pay outside or inside the pub. We'll certainly be popping in when we are in Harrogate again.

Great food, great staff. We had a beautiful meal at the Fat Badger. Our evening started with a drink at the bar; very busy as this was a Friday night, but the bar staff were really efficient and we didn't have to wait for long to be served despite the crowds. A shout out to Esther who was so pleasant and welcoming and suggested some white wines for us. She also provided directions for where to go for our meal. We sat in the side dining room which was busy but was quiet (not too quiet) but still a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately I did not get the name of our waiter who was just excellent (I think he may have been French?) Delicious chowder soup to start with and we opted for the duck (cooked to perfection) and Risotto (a starter which came as a main). The wine was beautiful as well, and while we didn't opt for dessert (despite them looking gorgeous!) we did have a lovely coffee and liqueur to finish. We headed back to the bar after which was even busier and we were served by Esther again, who asked how our meal was. A pleasant surprise that she remembered us as the bar was standing room only at this stage! We managed to find a table in the corridor outside the bar which was also very busy and still had a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Fat Badger for the food, atmosphere, ambience and service - top notch

Oddly not in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide nor hosting a Cask Marque but a superb selection of 10 real ales. The Old Bell Tavern is a historic 18th-century tavern in Harrogate that has been restored to its former glory as a lively bar downstairs with 9 ale pumps and a quieter brasserie upstairs serving classic pub grub. This traditional tavern, one of the oldest in Harrogate, offers a unique atmosphere filled with history and character. It is known for its friendly service, fantastic food and drinks, handsome decor, and laid-back vibe.

First visit since Harrogate Brewery takeover. Great pint of ale. Nice bar chap. It feels like they've sanitised the place. It's a bit cold and flat in atmosphere. A bit clinical? It had pub warms as the Old Bell when MTT had it. Music too loud and seems to be for the staff not the customer. 🤷

Nice pub. Order from the bar. Food comes in a reasonable time. Great burger, tasted great, well cooked. Was a bit taken back by the size, as it seemed a bit small. Saw other burgers that were the same. Guess it is the norm now. Would have paid more for full sized burger. Excellent pint of stout.

We didn't eat on this visit, so the review is just about the bar. The Old Bell Tavern is a long established pub. It has had a few refurbishments over recent years and I think the latest one has made a significant improvement. There's a cosy and welcoming atmosphere, with the dark walls, wooden floors and choice of lighting. There's background music, but not too loud. The bar is well stocked with draught and bottled beers, plus a good selection of spirits which should meet most people's expectations. The bar staff were friendly and happy to chat when it's not too busy.

Revolución de Cuba Harrogate offers a vibrant Latin fiesta vibe, making it the perfect spot for a non-traditional brunch experience. The bottomless brunch option is a steal, with prices varying based on the time you visit. The venue boasts a lively atmosphere, an array of fun events, and a mouthwatering menu featuring Latin-inspired dishes. While some have noted inconsistent service, others praise the friendly and competent staff.
Superb brunch. If there were 6 stars for service, I’d have tapped that. Service was utterly attentive (but not clawing or in my face) - food was lovely, drinks were great. It was quiet so we were the atmosphere - but excellent all round. Comfy chairs, watching the world go by via the massive windows. Music was good as well. Thanks !
Matt W — Google review
We visited today for a bottomless brunch. The place was very empty and I think there were only two staff members working. Overall I'd say we had an okay experience. To start, they brought us a mimosa each and some chips and salsa. The salsa was very sweet, definitely store bought and tasted a lot like the one from the jar you can get at the supermarket, which disappointed us a bit as we expected something a little bit more authentic. We had the breakfast burrito and the chorizo hash for food. The burrito was okay, it was very greasy but was the better dish of the two. I wasn't a fan of the chorizo hash, everything on the dish tasted strongly of peppers which just wasn't to my taste. For the drinks, we went for the standard bottomless brunch so there were only a couple of options to choose from. We opted for the rum punch for most of our drinks, which was quite good and presented well every time, the bar tender did a good job. I did want to have some strawberry daiquiris but they told me they were unavailable as the mix hadn't frozen yet. Again this was quite disappointing as the only drinks I was interested in were the rum punch and the daiquiri, so I just kept ordering the same drink. The server was really nice, but there were quite a few times that we sat with empty glasses waiting for him to ask if we wanted to order anything else. We also felt that we were inconveniencing them a bit by ordering drinks but obviously it is a bottomless brunch and you pay to have bottomless drinks! All in all, I wouldn't go for a bottomless brunch here again personally. We usually go to turtle bay for bottomless brunch and they have much better food and so many drinks options, I just couldn't warrant coming back here.

Looked great outside but I was surprised when I entered how empty and dead it was for a Sunday evening. Menu looked fab. Took awhile to get service from the two members of staff on duty. Food ordered and then waited for the food. Food wasn't bad even though the burger tasted a little cold in the middle. I did plan on having desert but again due to the service or lack of service I sat waiting quite awhile for someone to come to the table to order. Eventually I went to the bar and paid. Even that wasn't straight forward as the card machine wasn't working and she had to find a second machine. It's not a great look when you are waiting on service and the people working are either chatting or on their phones.

Always has its bins out all over the pavement. An eyesore on the street but also quite dangerous particularly for pedestrians with disabilities or pushing buggies. They are sometimes full and over spilling, awaiting collection, but often still there for many hours or even days later (empty as I passed at 9.45am, still there at 1.00pm 1/7/25) and no one has bothered to take them in. I moved a few so that pedestrians could actually use the pavement. Not particularly nice for the customers inside looking through the window at a line of bins either. UPDATED 15/7/25 despite claims that they try to manage the bins, the issue continues as the empty bins have been blocking the pavement all morning

Three's a Crowd is a rustic-chic gastropub with locations in Harrogate and Leeds, offering gourmet dishes with international influences alongside cocktails and gin. The bistro-style restaurant serves absolute quality British food using only the finest ingredients, featuring a rotating menu and curated wine list. Popular for their renowned roast dinners on Sundays, the venue offers an upstairs private dining area perfect for special occasions or intimate events.
Amazing lady served us who was very knowledgeable on all dishes. Cater for Coeliacs and instead of missing off food, all was substituted…. The honeycomb crunch on the puddings was delicious!! Gorgeous food, served hot and beautifully presented. Dogs are welcome too with no issues at all. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!!

The restaurant was a little quiet when we arrived. The food and service were excellent. The food was very well cooked and presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. They even asked me to sample a new dish that the chef was photographing for their website. I can't fault the food and service. I'd certainly go again when in the area.

Fantastic food, flavours and menu - however, the tiniest portions, beyond acceptable. The scollops for starter - possibly the smallest baby scollops I’ve ever had, 3 of them like the size of a 2p piece, amazing flavour though with crispy bacon bits and popcorn, but scollops were so small they had gone dry. Then ordered the lamb and a hake main course, £25 / £29 each. 3 bite sized pieces of lamb and some calerac cream. Was cooked beautifully but was smaller than a tapas side dish. The Hake my wife ordered, was the size of a fish finger, with a handful of sweetcorn. And a basil sauce - strange combo but Again flavours amazing The bill came to £107 for this, with a large glass of wine and 2 pints… genuinely felt completely disappointed, not on flavour but in such a small meal. And that’s not just a greasy lad talking, my wife eats like a sparrow and even she was complaining Such a shame, considering we go in here so often for a drink, as a great location and always great atmosphere- Definitely wouldn’t recommend eating here unfortunately, not with the price considered, it’s not a fine dining restaurant it’s a pub. Thought about ordering desert but after the two courses already I thought the brownie might come out as a chocolate button so decided to leave. Would love to hear from you guys which chef decided tonight’s meal was acceptable. And the thought process behind it. I did mention it to the waitress and she said she agreed portion sizes are small, prices are tall, Maybe rebrand as a tapas menu and I’d understand

Jorvic finishing off this little corner of Harrogate where 4 Cask Marque establishments are cheek by jowl with each other. Two Theakston real ales. Had their famous best bitter plus another coffee at the behest of Casta. Lovely cool interior. Pavement seating to front overlooking the West Park. Also rear decking seating. A foodie place that welcomes drinkers.

Ordered the sourdough bread for a starter, came with the main. Food was well cooked and very flavorful. I really enjoyed the side salad. So much flavor. Ordered a glass of wine to go along with my meal. Never came. This place does beautiful tasting food but I probably will not return as the service sucks.

recently visited Three’s A Crowd in Harrogate and decided to try their fish and chips — and I’m so glad I did. It’s hands down one of the best versions of this classic dish I’ve had in a long time. The fish was perfectly cooked: light, golden batter with just the right crunch, giving way to beautifully flaky, tender fish inside. The chips were spot on — crisp on the outside, fluffy in the middle, and served in a generous portion. Paired with fresh tartare sauce and mushy peas, the whole plate was elevated well above your standard pub fish and chips. The presentation was modern yet still comforting, and the portion size was more than satisfying without being over the top. What really stood out was the quality of the ingredients; you can taste the freshness in every bite. To top it all off, the service was friendly and attentive, and the setting at Three’s A Crowd makes it a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed meal with a bit of style. If you’re in Harrogate and fancy proper fish and chips with a refined touch, I’d highly recommend Three’s A Crowd. Absolutely worth it!

Walked in yesterday as a family of 5. The team were super nice and accommodated us in a nice spot away from two large dogs (never like the idea of restaurants allowing dogs into the dining area - very unhygienic). But as I said the staff could not be faulted. The food however was not very good. Ordered the pork belly and I honestly could not eat it. It was two slices (slabs) of old looking fat. How any chef who has pride in what they do can serve that up is beyond me. The prawns by comparison were delicious. My boys said their burgers were ‘mid’. If you can decipher that then good for you. Sum up: nice staff, nice ambience, nice drinks just don’t go for the food.

Held a wedding anniversary party at Three’s on Saturday for 50 guests in the outside area. The staff were brilliant, the pizzas were delicious and the atmosphere was electric. All the staff added to the atmosphere and had smiles on their faces all day despite them being soaked to the skin from the heavy rain. Brilliant, would definitely recommend.

All Bar One Harrogate is a modern chain bar that offers a classy yet casual atmosphere, making it a favorite spot for after-work drinks. Celebrated my friends hen party with you and we had a great time! They decorated the table for us and it looked amazing! The food was delicious and the service was amazing! Marta and them team were very helpful and always checking we were good but without been too much. Highly recommended ☺️

Came for brunch on Sunday. Lovely atmosphere really chilled and relaxed not busy but not dead. Friendly staff and quick service. Had the full English and bacon sandwich. Both delicious and well presented. Easy to customise to what you want. Good coffee too. Would definitely come back and recommend

A really nice and chilled out bar in the heart of Harrogate. Service is friendly and there are a good selection of beers and spirits on offer. Bar prices are higher than other bars in the area and the pint of Brooklyn cost £7. Cocktails are good and it’s a nice, well designed bar.

Called in for a drink after my daughters wedding. What a lovely set of staff, very pleasant, even brought our drinks to the table instead of us waiting at the bar.Highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

Place is smart and pleasent. Wash room clean and fresh. Food quality is outstanding for the money. Skilly prepared and serving sufficient quantity. I have been dined here several times and each time produced consistent delivery that is including the genuine service. Cheers specially to Nic and Esher who has served me one lunch time, who made my dining experience really enjoyable. No doubt I will bring friends in.

Food and drinks were very nice, staff who served the food and drinks were very nice. However when we walked in we weren’t sure if we had to wait to be served or just go up to bar. We went up to the bar and asked if we just sit down or wait, the man who I assume was the manager in a rude tone said “it’s a bar you just go sit down” as if we asked a stupid question. We ordered a cocktail and pint and the cocktail looked very nice but the pint I believe was made by him was flat, however I felt too uncomfortable to ask for another due to his rude tone. I would go back again provided he wasn’t there.

Went in for brunch with friends. The server asked for drinks and put that through and brought out the drinks very slowly, to the point where we had to call the server again after 30 minutes to ask to take our food order! The food came quick after ordering though, and we got food after an hour from being sat down. We saw the £17 for 2 brunches deal and thought we could distribute between ourselves, with one person left out because it wouldn’t be worth it as their dish was less than £8.50. When ordering, we made this clear to the server and they said it would be doable. When I got up to pay, I said I wanted to pair with somebody to get the deal and the server put my veggie breakfast with the one person who had their dish at less than £8.50! I said that it wasn’t worth it for the other person and asked why couldn’t they have put me with another full breakfast. They said this would be the cheapest other meal to put me with, as there was another full breakfast with a side. I decided to just cancel the deal as it was more effort than it was worth requesting to pair up with a more ‘expensive’ full breakfast (it wasn’t like I was just going to pay for someone else’s brunch anyway, I would’ve paid and chased it up with them, and I made this clear with the server who was sorting out our payments…) Bit disappointed.

Restaurant
The Coach & Horses is a charming, family-owned pub in Harrogate that has been serving patrons for nearly two centuries. Situated at the junction of Tower Street and West Park, this traditional establishment offers a wide selection of real ales, malt whisky, and hosts themed food nights and quizzes. Under new ownership since 1996, the pub has flourished into a popular destination under John Nelson's leadership.
Casta thinks we came here about 10 years ago? Anyway, Jorvic likes this well fettled pub opposite the West Park. Good choice of local beers. I had the locally brewed Daleside Blonde. Five real ales on handpump out of six max on our visit. Another Cask Marque pub. Upstair area for dining. Downstairs for both drinking and eating. ( HARTLEPOOL HADDOCK!, didn't know they still had a fishing fleet.)

Staff are really attentive and food tastes good and well presented. The menu has only 1 vegetarian option and it was curry! I was so shocked. I would choose somewhere else to go as it didn’t feel very child friendly no high chair offered.

Nice Pint of house lager at a reasonable price. Although pub was quiet it still had a “ proper pub feel to it. A few nights before I had two very poor pints of lager in the District Bar which was shocking. Coach and Horses a resounding winner.

Poor start. Didn’t have our booking. Finished up in the tap room. Nobody came for our order…. I think they had forgotten we were there so I ordered at the bar. After waiting 40 minutes went back to the bar to enquire what was happening, then like magic our meals arrived! We were asked what the food was like etc, but you can’t really balls up scampi and a steak and ale pie!! When we had finished our meal as nobody came for a sweet order went to the bar and paid & left. Was asked if everything was ok … I replied what do you think.

Lovely dog friendly pub. Unfortunately we just got there too late for food but the Timothy Taylor's Landlord was excellent. Will be going again when we are in Harrogate next.

Sadly, dispite hopes being high, they were dashed when dear friends took me out for lunch. Two young servers who were lackadaisical in their service. The girl was stoppy and unveiling and the lad forgetful on several occasions for venues etc. Food came out in stages, not all together and could have been hotter. Portions of veg were very small, eg 3 very small florets of cauliflower cheese for £4.50!!! Prices were good for main meals but not enough to get me back, sorry.

With a diverse menu featuring cask ales and expertly crafted cocktails, guests can indulge in global cuisine that tantalizes the taste buds. The ambiance is perfect for both casual gatherings and special occasions, ensuring a delightful dining experience.
I found this place from a recommendation in a Gluten Free group and I was not disappointed! Pretty much the entire menu is gluten free and you wouldn’t even know it! The food was absolutely incredible and everything was presented and tasted fabulous! Although I wanted everything (because the menu itself is so good and everything sounds delicious!) we opted for a range of starters and sharers between the 4 of us and one of our party had the double double bubble burger which was massive! Great atmosphere, awesome staff, incredible food.

Gluten free delight! This stylish pub has an extensive gluten menu that almost mirrors its non-allergy menu. Fantastic choice and a ‘dream come true’ for the gluten intolerant. 2 for 1 menu Monday to Friday 12-5pm, too. Lovely food and we’ll definitely return. (Photos: gyros was not gluten free; chicken burger with Korean spicing was gluten free).

Ate dinner here on early May Day bank holiday. My daughter saw that they had a full vegan menu, as opposed to the couple of offerings that a lot of spots offer, and it all looked amazing. We were served by a really friendly and helpful chap called William, who brought some menus over to us and then took our order - checking with us for any allergies. I had hummus & pitta to start and then caesar mushroom to follow. The food was just amazingly good - we will definitely be returning soon.
Jonathan C — Google review
One of the best places to eat if you have a Gluten intolerance or are Coeliac. Found this place on Google when passing through Harrogate as some reviews mentioned it had a gluten free menu but we weren't prepared for how much choice we would have. There is a full size Coeliac safe menu as nothing containing gluten goes into their fryers so from the fries to the fried chicken and onion rings, all are Gluten Free and safe for Coeliacs as the entire menu is designed to be Gluten free. We had an amazing meal which tasted like normal food. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and would check with the chefs about and extra requirements. We will definitely be heading back when over that way.
Matt K — Google review
Very warm and friendly place to eat and drink. Nine of us celebrated my wife's birthday. They placed some candles on a piece of lemon meringue cheese cake and lit them so we could sing happy birthday. We chose So Bar and Eats because of their gluten free selection for our son who is coeliac. He stwwak was delightful as we're his fries and onion rings. We can highly recommend and cannot wait to revisit. 5 stars all round.

Didn’t eat but had a great pint of TT boltmaker. Liked how the bar person took care of presentation by wiping the overspill on the outside of the glass. To me that showed they care a lot about the wonderful stuff! Nice looking menu - some variety and good looking deals and happy hour 3-6. Fairly quiet when I was in but had a community hub vibe to it. Good place for a sit and a chat with a mate over a pint. Will go back I think with friends / my wife and family.
Matt W — Google review
It wasn't my first visit, but it's been a while. From the outside it looks like a traditional stone built pub. Inside there's a friendly, not too noisy, atmosphere. They do a great job of combining a bar with an extensive food menu that caters for dietary requirements. The service was great, consistently attentive and friendly. We felt looked after. The food. It's good and flavourful, but not overly memorable. Portion sizes also felt a bit modest. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been before. I'll, no doubt, be back.

Harrogate Convention Centre is a major conference and exhibition hub in the UK, featuring a 2,000 seat auditorium, 10 event halls, and meeting spaces. It contributes significantly to the local economy and attracts over 350,000 business visitors annually. The center also hosts world-class British and international acts in its auditorium. Additionally, it is conveniently located near various accommodation options such as B&Bs and budget-friendly hotels like Premier Inn Harrogate Town Centre.
Had a fantastic day at the convention centre for the First Lego League UK Finals. Being in the auditorium was a fantastic setup for the tables and being in a larger space for the pit areas downstairs worked very well giving teams more space around their pits to socialise and meet other teams.

I remember when this site was just an underground car park, and yet it was used for many years as an exhibition centre. This looks far more professional and is a vast improvement. It has car parking nearby and is just a short walk to Harrogate city centre. What a pity that getting into, and out of, Harrogate is such a slow process.

Fantastic venue. Mega in size. The conference was in centre 1. I couldn’t believe that it had 4 floors. Very clean tidy, disabled friendly, a massive main conference area, large sized breakout rooms. It offered good food, exhibition area, bar and the best thing clean bathroom facilities. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. The best that it is cost effective unlike other places

I was here for the Country living Christmas Fair, and it's a good venue. Situated very centrally, near the Baths, with plenty of car parks on the vicinity. Last time I visited the food on offer was poor, but I was pleased this year to note they had really improved their offerings, and considering you're a captive audience, the prices were fair too.

Such a fantastic experience for bottomless brunch, amazing service, amazing food and such a great time ♥️ Lovely special touches like a candle and brownie for my birthday and didn’t need to ask for drinks, the staff were so accommodating and it was brilliant :) Huge THANK YOU to Rachel who was amazing and really made it so special, we will be returning :)

The new food menu is a third of what used to be. My chicken fingers were small and had no flavor. I guess they are trying for a drink only atmosphere. I had to get a refund for my glass of wine that was supposed to come with meal but did not. Sadly this place has continued to go down hill until it reached bottom. Will never return.

Bottomless brunch... Staff were nice, the DJ was fantastic, atmosphere was okay, the DJ made it better. Pizza was okay, the drinks were flowing. However £42+ per person is a crazy price. I drank a little more than 1 glass of prosecco and then had water. I guess the prices are not as advertised on the website. That's my only grumble.

The dirty chicken katsu fries were delicious and very impressed with the choice of dairy free ice creams. Lovely pint of Brixton too. Great Sunday afternoon vibe with open mic entertainment too. Gilli was really helpful with drinks recommendations.

I went to the Foundry Project for a bottomless brunch on a late Saturday afternoon as part of a hen do a few weeks ago and sadly I do not recommend it. The atmosphere was nonexistent when we arrived and we were the only people in the whole bar, luckily the DJ was happy to play our requests which helped a little. It had been mentioned on their social media that it was a themed bottomless brunch but there was nothing relating to this theme the whole time we were there. There were a few issues with the food such as a very burnt pizza being served to one of the party and some of the party were unable to have what they had originally pre-ordered as I believe the oven had stopped working, that being said the burgers and chips were very nice when they arrived. There not a single piece of toilet roll in the ladies toilet when we arrived and we had to ask for this to be sorted. The staff were friendly and trying their best. We did raise all these issues with the manager at the time who was apologetic and offered a partial refund for items plus a round of shots but if you are looking for a lively fun place for bottomless brunch sadly this isn't it especially if it is for a special occasion.

Better than any other cinema experience!! Went in this evening for some food and a movie, we were greeted by Summer who was very friendly and welcoming, helped us with anything we needed and made our visit such an amazing time! Food was absolutely delicious, ordered a chicken burger with cheesy fries (cheeky sundae for desert) and enjoyed every bite. 😋 It was such a nice environment, very cosy and an incredibly comfortable place to be at. The sofas in the screening rooms were really nice and made watching the movie so relaxing. 😌 Overall loved every second of being here, definitely would like to come back another time! Thank you to Summer and the team for a really great night! 😊

Fantastic cinema, especially where they've put the wheelchair friendly seats to the back. That level of thoughtfulness is why we keep coming back. The staff are beyond helpful, and really cannot do enough. Everywhere is wheelchair accessible. The food and drinks are always very good and being served to your seat just adds to the whole experience. Very clean and tidy facilities.

First experience of an Everyman cinema and it's very cool. Large comfortable couches to relax and have a drink from the bar before the film. Great style to the place and the staff at Harrogate were brilliant.

We were there for a private function in The Hub private bar. The service from Bartender Lilly was exceptional and the food was excellent and of a high standard. Great size room for a party and very private. Thank you Joanne and Lilly for making the evening special.

Facilities are good. Seats are comfortable. Food is nice. But the service is terrible. The amount of times we have come to see a film and the staff will say “sit down and we will come over to take your order” and we will be lucky to get asked for our order within 30 minutes.
John H — Google review
Good service from the start. By myself but ordered chips and salsa that was supposed to be a sharer. Salsa well flavored but enough salsa for 1/3 person. Tortilla chips had good flavors but I must have got the last in the bag as they were mostly small and broken. Burger was very flavorful and well done. Cannot fault it. Service was good with staff regularly checking on me. Will try again.

Montey's is a vibrant venue that has been a staple of Harrogate since 1996. It offers an array of creative cocktails, draft brews, and talented bartenders who can craft delicious drinks. The bar boasts an electrifying and friendly atmosphere every night, making it a must-visit spot in town. With regular live music performances, Montey's provides an exciting and comfortable setting for patrons to enjoy great drinks and fantastic entertainment.
Our favourite bar in all of Harrogate and possibly everywhere. The cocktail menu is enormous, expansive, eclectic, perfect (I love me some cocktails) The staff are great, very friendly! And the music's not bad either

Leaving my original review below as I believe I personally was wrong and hold accountability for my comments and actions. Updated to 5* as someone clearly put the time and effort in to reply which is rare from a business. They clearly run this place with pride and integrity. My bitterness evidently came from us buying what were clearly premium drinks. We were at the BOTB reunion and we were spending £9 a drink on the labelled drinks from the drinks list provided, Goth juice etc, we never deviated from that last the whole time we were there and that is our own fault. Reading the reply from Management, clearly I am wrong and the drinks prices are absolutely fine for the standard pints and mixers and that is a lesson learned on our part. I still hold true that the staff are amazing, the atmosphere is superb, the aesthetics of the bar are unique and amazing, I have genuinely fallen in love with this place, and seeing the prices listed, this place is a great environment to spend your weekend brass and enjoy your downtime. *Old review - how wrong I was* Honestly the worse value for money bar in Harrogate. £8/9 for a drink is the average you’ll pay. The bar is amazing and the staff are top tier, but the cost for drinks is actually outrageous and downright scandalous. If you’re planning a night out avoid Monty’s at all cost unless you’re willing to sell a kidney to fund it.

Never had the good. Absolutely terrible the music is either emo or standard dance shite. Drinks overpriced. Clientele are not alt. There is no alt here. It's a normie bar to help them feel they're doing something exciting. Nothing to see here. Such a shame... Where are the actual alt bars????... Anyone....?

Used to love Monteys a few years ago, but now they're too mainstream music wise in my opinion. Not as "rock n' roll" as they were a few years ago with their playlist. One time I went and they played Harry Styles and Olivia Rodrigo. Granted, they were songs everyone knew, but really not the Monteys vibe. I think when it's a tad warmer, I'd much rather sit outside than inside. Staff are cool and fun and seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs, drink and cocktails and shots are delicious and there's plenty to choose from. The last few times I've been, it's mostly been a lot of middle aged people, not really a place for the younger ones anymore sadly :(

Cocktail bar in Harrogate town centre. Bouncer at door. Friendly service and really good cocktails made the authentic way. Some bar games inside. Music a little loud to hold a conversation.

A five-star bar. This is the most underappreciated and underrated bar ever. The vibe and atmosphere every night is electrifying, exciting, friendly, safe, comfortable and just freaking awesome. Any night is guaranteed to be a blast and you are in for a great night. The bartenders are also extremely talented and can recommend and whip you up a delicious storm, always great drinks offers available. They also have live music frequently which in a hidden corner of the town makes it an absolute must. I love the entire staff, they all share the same humbling and bubbly personality, which really shows the ethics of this collaborative superb joint and the love that goes into preserving its reputation with local customers. Always a privilege to come in here and enjoy a drink, game of foozball and great tunes.

Proper old mix and match stadium. Good access and some good food (according to the bloke sat behind me)

Went in the away end. Programmes were not available, so it loses a star. They had been, but they had been moved to the home end before I got there, and so I had to buy one on eBay. The toilets were portable ones, which was quite good. Food was available at a good price. View was fine, see pictures. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was segregation worthy of Leeds v Manchester United, as no real conflict between fans this was excessive. Maidenhead had two late sending offs, which was a nonsense, but cannot blame the ground for that.

Good Service and what you expect from a chain restaurant, Stopped by on the way home for an early dinner. Restaurant was very quiet as it was so early. The owners both came out to speak to us while were there and chat about what was in all of the dishes and cooking styles. They couldn't have been any more helpful. We ordered a few of the tapas dishes and as they are brought out as they are cooked, everything is piping hot. Try the chicken cooked in sherry, it's absolutely delicious as were all of the dishes chosen

The Devonshire Tap House is a charming cask and craft ale house located near P&C Music in Harrogate. The establishment has retained the old charm of its building, featuring a semi-circular counter, wood flooring, and benches. It offers a quality range of drinks including gins and hosts events such as quiz nights and live music on Wednesdays. The venue also provides an excellent range of bar snacks and pizzas.
Very simply - if I lived in Harrogate, this would be my local. Friendly staff and friendly customers. Excellent Cask Ales. Music but not intrusive. Dog-friendly. All round lovely pub. Credit to all.
Hgate 6 — Google review
Think Cheers bar but smaller and more “Yorkshire”. It’s just a great pub. The banter across the bar is legendary and it’s so full of characters. It’s something about the shape of the bar that presents itself as soon as you open the door. Sure there are spaces for privacy but for me it’s all about the bar. It forces you to socialise and share stories. The beer is excellent but that’s not the main thing. It’s everything a pub should be. A place to meet, to walk the dog, to debate, share stories and have a laugh. It’s an oasis of fun, an escape from the hum drum and a timeless reminder of why pubs must never die. Long live the Dev.

Quality local, less than 30 seconds away. Great, friendly staff (especially Courteney & Ali), a quality range of drinks, especially gins (Harrogate prices unfortunately) and 2 inside/outside smoking rooms. Plus a range of highly random board games, quiz nights, and live music Wednesdays. Haven't eaten here, except from the excellent range of bar snacks, and I mean really good range with some classics thrown in, but I hear the pizzas are good. Extremely dog-friendly with free bar-dog treats at the bar. Highly recommend

A little gem of a restaurant with a menu packed full of excellent, freshly prepared dishes which are full of flavour and superbly presented. Friendly and attentive service. A good range of wines, some cocktails and liqueurs available. Worth a visit and we will be looking to return the next time we stay in Harrogate. Edit: Returned one year after our previous visit to find that the restaurant has maintained its fabulous standards. Each course was amazing and I particularly enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding.

Without a recommendation from a shop assistant in a nearby shop I would have walked past the unassuming frontage. However, the interior is lovely, modern, warm and inviting. The staff could not be more helpful and attentive. The 3 course meal we had tonight was one of the best meals i have had in a long time. Superb quality, beautifully presented and packed with flavour. Had to check the bill as it was much less than expected even with the optional service charge on.. incredibly good value for money. Would heartily recommend and will go back.

I was fortunate to find a Groupon voucher for this restaurant and I an s.o glad I did. The tables are well spaced so you don't feel like someone is looking over your shoulder all the time, and the service was good and prompt. We had a 2 course menu and the food was amazing, especially the seared salmon starter. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try, though you should book to avoid disappointment.
Ant D — Google review
The lunch menu which both my friend and myself had was excellent and we would definitely dine there again. The salmon with stir-fried cabbage and soy noodles was so tender and although I cook salmon quite a lot I have never achieved this standard and my friend was equally impressed with her dish of chicken. The portions were generous and beautifully presented and served by pleasant and courteous waiters. Having started our lunch with salmon fishcakes served with an absolutely tasty lemon and dill sauce unfortunately we could not manage to eat any of the tempting desserts. We were also impressed by the very reasonably priced menu!

I have been here several times. I have been on 05/11/14. Normally go early evening on a Monday, if I am going to a dance in Harrogate (Modern Jive). I normally opt for the Duck that they do as a main course. The food is very fancy, presented very well , but more importantly tastes fantastic. I recommend this place. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are very good. The prices for a meal are a bit more expensive than some of the cheaper theatre restaurants, but the ingredients and the flavours are very good.

Love this place! If you think your ‘too’ old.. think again. Dance your pants off upstairs to most recent music or have a boogie downstairs. I got a brilliant deal in the vip area and it was set up beautifully, the girls were very prompt with service and even secured our table while we went dancing. Doormen are fab, staff are fab and the manager is fit.. I mean fab ;)

It's a 50/50. Was new in the area so decided to check the place out. Was told £5 entry fee per person. So I said it ok I'll try somewhere else and the manager goes" wait £10 for 2 of you for entry fee and ill give you 2 drink vouchers" so that got us in for free 🤔. Music and good atmosphere were good. Its got 2 floors, ground floor plays latest music and lower floor plays 80's & 90"s music. It's worth a try. Hope this helps. Thanks

Booked an area recently for a school reunion shindig. On arrival the area was set up with mixers glassware and all the things expected . Table service was spot on too . The staff and management were more than hospitable and outgoing to make sure the experience was memorable. Even if we did spary a little champagne!! Good music , DJ played songs on request . Overall a great venue, and night.
Greg S — Google review
It’s not an amazing but in harrogate you’re not exactly spoilt for choice So it’s still generally the go-to. There’s not a particularly good selection of music, it never really steps outside of top 40 music and drake. Would be nice if they mixed it up with some deep house, garage or bassline; however that probably doesn’t appear to the standard crowd. Drinks are pretty expensive but generally people just get drunk before they turn up. Haven’t had any problems with staff or bouncers and overall its a decent atmosphere, but it’s more a place that balding businessmen go to try and woo women rather than a trendy place for people to have fun and let themselves go.
Pat G — Google review
Cheeky guy at the entrance tried prentending my £20 note was only a £10 and charged me an additional £10… look I understand they have a business to run but fact he thought me drinking on a night out wouldn’t allow me to show I can tell difference between a £10 and £20 is ridiculous. Seriously annoyed and can’t believe that it happened really.

The boss was extremely rude and impatient and was just on his phone instead of giving us our food after it was ready. Was looking at what to order and he just said "helloooo". After he gave me my food I politely asked for a bad and he rudely replied "why you ask so late". The chicken bites were rubbish and the chips were mid. The bossman should be ashamed of his disgusting behaviour.
Lynxzey — Google review
The chicken was over cooked and really dry, the beef burger the opposite to oily. The doughnut was rock hard in places where it looked to have been microwaved so inedible and the chocolate cake was frozen had to wait for it to defrost and even then it was so disappointing and dry. The coleslaw was very sour like it was out of date/off. Nothing looked anything like the pictures online and we will not be returning really sorry.

I ordered food at 19:49 said it was going to be delivered from just eat at 20:40 which came on time so delivery was fantastic. But the food quality was poor...The chips was cold and soggy. The chicken was cold like they both have been sat there for a long time. The chicken is having to go into the oven to warm up. Last of all they forget the drink. I don't know what has happened but my previous experience from them has been top notch!

The serving area looked really dirty and greasy, I had a chicken burger and chips, the chips were really thin, stuck together and hard and the chicken was hard on the outside and I spent the next 12 hours feeling sick with a dodgy stomach. Will definitely not be going back.

I been served by a guy who told me will take 6 minutes to prep my order. After 25 minutes he served first another customer before me and dont even apologise untill i get mad. This customer service is very bad and i wish no one of you that read this to order from this store. 1. Very bad customer service 2. Staff that dont know how long it takes to prep the food 3. Very angry boss, that told me to not “abuse” there as their service was bad what a joke. Mister boss when you come from outside after you driving and go in the kitchen you was your hands first and after you touch the food. The angry boss refused to give a refund for bad customer service and long waiting time. I hope this feedback will help , i will never be a custome of this place.

This was my third time coming here on 28.07.2025 and this time I brought my family who flew in from overseas to the UK. We were all really looking forward to it. We arrived at reception at 6:30pm and waited about 10 minutes but no one came to seat us. In the end, we went up to the bartender and were told we had to find our own table — just like a food court. The table we found was dirty and hadn’t been cleared. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy, but there was only 1-2 waiter serving everyone. It took another 10 to 15 minutes just to place our order for drinks( 2 beer,2 cocktail & 2 coke), 5 starters, and 4 mains course. After waiting 30 minutes, we still didn’t have any drinks. We asked the same waitress who took our order — she went into the kitchen, then came back and told us the kitchen had lost our order and we’d have to order again. She promised us a free drink as an apology, but in the end, we didn’t get anything at all. Meanwhile, people queuing at the bar got their drinks straight away, while we waited nearly 50 minutes for ours — it was really unacceptable. It wasn’t just our table waiting — the nearby customers were all waiting too. Another 15 minutes later, our starters finally arrived, followed by the mains, but they still missed one of our dishes. When we asked the waiter again, he told us to wait, but after another 10 minutes with nothing happening, we just paid and left. We originally planned to order dessert, but we gave up because we didn’t know how much longer we’d have to wait. Honestly, it was a terrible experience. Despite the beautiful setting, the service was unbelievably bad. It completely wasted our precious time and ruined our evening. I’d rather go to Wetherspoons than ever come back here again.

History, Hues, and Hospitality: Sunday Lunch at Pitcher and Piano Nottingham Our Sunday lunch reservation at The Pitcher and Piano in Nottingham was an absolutely memorable experience, thanks primarily to its stunning and unique setting. Housed within the magnificent High Pavement Unitarian Chapel, this Grade II listed building—originally constructed in 1876—is far more than just a restaurant; it’s a living piece of Nottingham history. The architecture alone is worth the visit. It's truly breathtaking to dine beneath the soaring ceilings and surrounded by the retained grandeur of the former chapel. The conversion, which happened in 1998, brilliantly preserved key elements, giving the space an atmosphere that is simultaneously historic and modern. It makes for one of the most visually interesting and vibrant dining environments you could find in the city, perfectly blending its past as a place of worship and a lace museum with its present as a popular social hub. For a fun, tangible souvenir, we took advantage of the on-site photo booth. It’s a great way to remember your visit, costing £5 for four physical prints and including a digital download of your photos, making the unique backdrop part of your memory. Making the online reservation was smooth and efficient, and upon arrival, we were treated to excellent hospitality. Our experience was made particularly wonderful by Jess, who waited on us. Jess was attentive, professional, and added a warm, friendly touch to our meal, ensuring everything was perfectly taken care of. Great service combined with great surroundings elevates a simple lunch into an occasion. Overall, The Pitcher and Piano offers a truly unique destination for food and drinks. If you’re looking for delicious dining in a jaw-dropping location, this venue delivers on both history and quality service. Highly recommended!

We had our wedding reception at Pitcher & Piano Nottingham, and it was absolutely perfect! The venue looked beautiful, the food was delicious, and the whole team was so friendly and accommodating. A special thank you to Chelcie, who tailor-made the arrangements to suit us perfectly and was incredibly helpful throughout the planning. She made everything run so smoothly and really helped make our celebration unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Pitcher & Piano for any special occasion!!

Nice food and superb church setting. The ambiance was marvelous! There’s nothing to complain about except sometimes when you order and pay via the QR code, it may not go through. I didn’t encounter any problem but my friend did, so she had to go asking the staff to check if it was alright and ended up ordering and paying the analog way.

I had the pleasure of being served by Jess during my recent visit to pitcher and piano, and I just had to take a moment to share how exceptional she was. From the moment we were seated, Jess greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. She was attentive without being overbearing, checking in on us just the right amount to make sure we had everything we needed. you could tell she genuinely cared about making our experience great. Jess’s positive attitude and friendly demeanor truly elevated our brunch experience. It’s clear she takes pride in her work, and I appreciate how she went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable visit. If you’re lucky enough to be seated in her section, you’re in great hands. Highly recommend!

Travellers Rest is a pub in a pleasant atmosphere, serving traditional British dishes. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating options and caters to families. Patrons should be cautious about visiting without a reservation, as the place tends to get busy around noon on Sundays. While some tables may lack table service, the staff is friendly and welcoming overall.
I didn’t have high expectations at first — just wanted a place to sit down and chat with friends. But overall, it was a really enjoyable experience. The food quality was good, the service was just right — attentive without being overbearing — and the atmosphere was warm and pleasant. I’ll definitely come back again.

I’ve been here a few times but not lately. I was looking forward to having Whitebait as a starter but sadly they no longer have it on their menu I had a salad which to be honest was ‘ok’ but seemed expensive for what it was. The other person I was with had the Toad in the hole and although it came with three large sausages the small portion of potato seemed a bit stingy and there was room on the plate for a few vegetables?? If you took the gravy off the plate it was tiny!! Again, very small for the price The best thing was the Salted Caramel Sundae 🤣

It’s the first time we are trying this pub/restaurant and we have been nothing else but really impressed by the quality of service and the amazing food from the Chef! All served with fresh and delicious ingredients! All was super tasty and the place is super cosy and nice to spend time in! We have been served by the Manager Millie and we were warmly welcomed, her professional service and prestance was really appreciated as well as her kindness and well manners! All the team was really aware of their customers and really productive! We will definitively come back for sure!! 👍

The atmosphere at the Traveller’s Rest is quite pleasant, and the staff friendly, but we were seated at a table where i protruded into the stairs: people using the back of my chair as a support as they passed. My chair, at this point, had started to come apart; I swapped it with another chair and told the server, who left it for someone else to sit in. I ordered the mixed grill and this arrived after some time. I began to eat and immediately noticed how dry everything was. The gammon was the most edible and the chicken was least: it was like rubber. Not once were we asked how our food was. I left almost all my dinner except the chips: which were edible after being soaked in the gravy my partner had with their meal, but didn’t want. The server took away the barely-eaten food without even noticing, so we paid, tipped and left. I’m wondering if the food was pre-cooked and left in a warmer or if it was just left too long under a heat lamp before being served. Either way, I won’t be back.

Pub
The Punch Bowl is a traditional pub in York with a rich history, being the favored drinking place of 17th-century Whig party members and reputedly haunted. It's located in the heart of York, making it an excellent spot to visit while exploring this historic city. The pub offers traditional British dishes and local ales, including comfort foods like toad in the hole and steak pie. Additionally, it's known for its delicious pies.
Nice welcoming and relaxing location, old school pub, where good conversations can be enjoyed with a relaxing background of easy listening music. Food portions are very good, food tastes amazing. Staff and locals are very friendly. We would definitely visit, drink and eat here again.
Mark D — Google review
A lovely historic pub right in the centre of York and very close to other tourist attractions. The interior of this pub has been preserved very well and stepping inside really does transport you back a few centuries to the times of Guy Fawkes and Dick Turpin. The service was excellent, friendly, attentive and couldn't do enough for you. I feel like the prices were also reasonable given what we ate and drank. Possibly my only complaint would've been the pie we ordered - the filling was delicious and the presentation was also nice, however it seemed like the pie lacked a pastry base and sides inside the pot it was served in (so essentially it was pie filling covered with a pastry top). Don't get me wrong, it was tasty and even enough for two to share, but I expected something slightly better considering the price and the standard of everything else. However all said, I enjoyed my visit.

Efficient Staff and a friendly Welcome in this historic building. Great Beer selection. There must be a cosy log fire somewhere..... But I didn't spot it. Good menu choice with Pies being a specialty. As an update on last visit..... Excellent Customer Service (28.05.25).

We called for drinks in the afternoon and the place was busy with a great atmosphere. There was only 1 lad on the bar who was doing his absolute best to keep up with the orders. The menu looked great so we decide to have our evening meal there. On arrival we were pleased to get a table easily. The same guy was still alone serving drinks despite a lengthy queue. There seemed to be an issue with one of the pumps and he had to ask another member of stuff to refund a customer. This female member of staff was quite rude and dismissive during the refund. Eventually I was able to order food for my partner and I. This was brought by the same female who had as much customer service as a damp sponge. My partner had the chicken with chorizo which was barely warm and extremely dry. Certainly not as expected. I had chosen the fish pie which had obviously been microwaved but was quite tasty. However the veg that it was served with was virtually raw and cold. Very disappointed with the whole experience. The same female member of staff could be heard slamming around in the kitchen area without any regard for customers hearing. Would definitely not recommend.

Very cool and original pub vibe. The building doesn’t look like it should be standing, but it perseveres fighting gravity. Staff were friendly and attentive and ensured my wife’s gluten intolerance was catered to, which was appreciated. Food was spot on and I really enjoyed my fish and chips. Good simple food done well.

This is a great very old pub with lots of history and apparently ghosts as well 👻. We ate lunch here which was lovely (home made meat pies are delicious). Inside the pub keeps all its original 300 plus year character. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere was nice. 3 drinks and three main course meals £80 which is very good value. Well worth a visit.

Good service, nice atmosphere. Menu has good selection. Food was excellent, we all enjoyed our dishes. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is that we expected a salad with the chicken salad and not just 3 baby gem lettuce leafs.

We went here last week for the first time for our first meal out together since last year, and it's definitely one of our new favourites! We had the burger and fish and chips and they were unreal, I especially liked the batter on the fish as it was crispy, light and wasn't greasy at all. For pudding we shared a melt in the middle chocolate pudding and cheesecake, and the sorbet that came with the cheesecake was beautiful too. The service was timely and the young waiter was so nice, polite and chatty. They've put up a marquee which completely shielded everyone from the rain outside, and they had blankets too. 100% recommend!

Best food I've had in ages, especially the main which was the fish of the day - lemon sole with ratatouille, fantastic, well cooked, not over seasoned for me. Stilton was very good for desert, financier wasn't what I thought a financier was but still rather good (I tasted the deserts of the people I was with, too full for my own). Definitely worth a visit, not cheap but I would say it was worth the price given the quality.

We love The Railway - it’s our local and the service and food is always incredible. However this review is even more deserved after Drew, Ollie and the team took amazing care of us whilst we celebrated our engagement party here! We didn’t have exclusive use so we shared with other locals (who were just an extension of our crowd and were so lovely). 40 of us dined and the food was it’s usual impeccable standard! Just amazing! The bar staff worked SO hard to serve us and the locals. Drew had amazing communication throughout and accommodated us so well. I honestly can’t have a bad word said - they went above and beyond to make our celebration even more special! Thank you! 🥰

Me and my now Husband had our wedding reception at 31K in September 2024, and everything about was exactly how we imagined. From the very first enquiry, to picking up our wedding cake the next morning, after an amazing day and night the team were incredible. Will and Keeks couldn’t have been more helpful with planning the finer details, they adapted, changed and complimented all of my ideas and visions and made it real. Nothing was ever to much trouble, even in my drunken wedding day chaos! All the team that worked on the day were amazing and the compliments and comments on the food were amazing. Every single guest was so happy with their food choice, and they catered to all the dietary requirements with ease making sure no one felt amiss. The communication between myself and Keeks/Will moved smoothly, ensuring I had no stress or worries, even meeting the chef and having our trial meal went as planned. I couldn’t recommend them more for a wedding, party or any other special occasion! Hopefully we’ll be able to celebrate a special occasion there soon, but I know we will be back time and time again. Thank you so much for everything and making our day so special 🫶🏼✨

This is one of my favourite place in Notts for food, the french toast is 👌🏼 More recently, I hosted my sister's hen do brunch there and it was incredible. The lead up to the hen do was super organised, with Will taking our pre-orders for food and helping create a personalised drinks menu. On the day, staff were so friendly and attentive. Everyone at the hen do loved it! I would highly recommend booking events/celebrations here. They cater so well for vegetarians and vegans, and offer a lot of the cocktails as mocktails too.

Super cute and quick dinner with drinks. My partner and I turned up with no reservation on a busy Friday night - we were seated promptly by a friendly waitress who got us on a table in the corner but moved us to a table for two where the people didn’t turn up. We were in a rush so only had a starter to share and mains. We had - Smoked mackerel starter to share - Baked cod with Romeo sauce, new potatoes and tender stem broccoli - Wild mushroom arancini with sundried tomato butter, truffle fries and squash salad Drinks - Lychee mojito The food came out after a decent wait, the smoked mackerel salad was DELIGHTFUL (pickled fennel was delish) and overall we were pretty pleased with the food. Baked cod was cooked okay, was nearly overcooked but definitely not noticeably overcooked. Nice touch having the skin on. The arancini was lovely, I was expecting a bit more of potent hot of mushroom but still lovely, wished I got the romesco with it (not sure what I was thinking!)… The vegan truffle fries - SENSATIONAL, I need them again. Everything was well seasoned and cooked well. I loved the variety of veggie/vegan dishes on the menu I can only wish that it was a bigger upstairs space but aside from that cannot fault it. Also the amount of ice to cocktail is crazy - but still tasty…. I’d have them again, but if you want to go cheaper - stick to beers and wines. I would go back and definitely recommend, one of few places in Nottingham I genuinely enjoyed, sad that I had to rush to leave.

Overpriced and over hyped by the youngsters. £12 a cocktail that is simply a shot of spirit + syrup We ordered 4 dishes, 2 were barely warm, not nearly hot enough.. The server never introduced herself and at first I wasn't even sure she worked there, didn't come to collect the drinks order and at the end there was a massive mess with the bill. For a place that sells themselves as sort of "fancy" we were not impressed. The food was good but nothing outstanding Not worth the price in my opinion

Amazing spot for all occasions! The atmosphere here is a great - the restaurant is very pretty and nicely laid out. Food here is delicious - they have a cool menu which gives you a lot of potential customisation without losing out on quality by keeping it simple. For £12 you get a pretty large bowl with lots of food and there are great vegetarian options here too. The sides are also delicious and they have some great bao buns. The cocktails are on point too - there are such a variety of them and they are decently priced (£6 Sunday-Thursday, £9 Friday-Saturday). The house wines are pretty good and are only £18 for a bottle. Overall this place is great - not too expensive with lots of options, but will be a high quality meal and is just a great vibe - ideal for dates or outings with mates.

A great addition to Hockley and an alternative cheap eatery! The meatballs are great but still holding out to try the beef ones! The consistent price point for food, cocktails and beers is a great idea as you know what you are paying for no matter what time you visit. The cocktails are also of premium quality especially considering they are 2 for £8! With chilled decor and attentive staff who take the time to chat to you, it’s easy to forget that you’re in Nottingham.

Classic British fare & draft ales served in a casual, spacious venue, formerly a post office.
Lovely place and I found this when I wanted to have breakfast. They have plenty of spaces inside and the interior looks good. I ordered the classic breakfast set one, and I didn’t need to wait for long time for that. Tables are clean, properly maintained. Highly recommended place.

This is great place if you wanna have a beer and spend some time alone. We walked in around 4pm. There was pretty decent crowd inside. The place was well lit. We sat near to the kicten and jumped up a couple of times to the sound of crubmling bottles. We used the app to order. The service was excellent and the order arrived quickly. We did not have to wait for long. The menu is huge and has a lot of options. But if you are big eater, then better watch what you order. I felt the portion quite small for the taste and money. We ordered British beef & pancetta lasagne x 3, Fish and chips, Crunchy chicken strip burger and some drinks. The taste was just awesome. Wish the portion was a little bigger. One observation on the Sex on the Beach (Pitcher). Half the pitcher was filled with ice. It killed the taste of the cocktail. what a pity, I got the last serving of the icy water.

We’ve been regular visitors here for a while, but unfortunately, the last few visits have been really disappointing. It feels like the place has gone downhill quite a bit. On three separate occasions now, there’s been no hot chocolate available—even though it's still showing as available to order on the app. The vegetarian breakfast arrived without a sausage, and while a staff member did bring one over when we mentioned it, there was no apology or explanation, which felt a bit dismissive. Most recently, the large breakfast was missing both the bacon and the baked beans, and instead, there was just an extra piece of toast on the plate. Again, no one said anything about substitutions or items being unavailable—we were just left to figure it out ourselves. It really came across like they were hoping we wouldn’t notice. The tables were also quite sticky, which just added to the sense that things aren’t being properly looked after. It’s hard to tell if they’re just short-staffed or what’s going on, but the overall experience has definitely declined. We’d love to see this place return to the standard it once had, but for now, it's a letdown and we’ll be going to the one in Stapleford instead.
Victoria C — Google review
Very rude staff. We are a family of 5 and the only table available was a table that hasn’t been cleaned yet- 4 plates of greasy left overs, monster cans and glasses. We asked a member of staff if they could get someone to clean the table for us and she said yes….. 10 minutes later no one has come and we have ordered food in the app. My partner goes to the bar to see if someone can come and clear it all, only to get a snappy response that they are busy and can we just wait. A few minutes later a different member of staff comes and removes the plates but doesn’t come back for the cans, glasses or wipe the table of the spilled food. The staff member from the bar comes with our drinks and my partner asks her again if someone can clean the table… her response was shocking really, she practically shouted ‘yeah I’m going to do it in a minute, I’ve brought your drinks over’ whilst throwing her hands in the air. My partner calmly said you don’t have to get arsey about it, she replied ‘you’re the one being arsey about it’ and stormed off. Leaving ourselves and the other patrons around us open mouthed in shock, our children were upset that we had been spoken to like this, which ruined our breakfast meal out. We would have put a complaint in but we believe she may have been bar manager as she was the only one with a shirt on and to be honest just wanted to eat and leave instead of making the kids feel more uncomfortable. Food was standard spoons food, nothing special but filled a hole.

Nipped in for a bite to eat after a day out. First time we had visited this Weatherspoons. The place looked tired and drab, rubbish under tables etc. Needs a tidy up and fresh coat of paint. Wanted a cheeseburger but they had no beef patties so we had a chicken burger instead. Not a long wait for the food which was hot and tasted good. The server just looked miserable as did many of the servers running around. Large area with plenty of tables. Would visit again if it was tidied up.

Called in last night with a mixed age group of 20 friends, ranging from age 20ish to 65ish and all decent people, having an annual catch-up. We were made so unwelcome from the moment we stepped through the door,by the barmaid with the dodgy tattoos and the little barman. This must be the most unfriendly pub in Nottingham and I've been in plenty over the last 40 plus years. The bar staff were so rude and told us 'we were blocking the entrance/fire exit' we wasn't. When we moved over a little,we were then told' we had split the pub in half and people couldn't pass' utter rubbish as people were freely walking past as the dodgy tattooed barmaid and little man was actually telling us they couldn't. We must have spent over a £100 on our 1st round of drinks and that's the way we were treated. Obviously, they can afford to make customers so unwelcome that we don't buy another round and walk out. In over 40 years of drinking in Notts.....I've never experienced such rude and unfriendly bar staff. I would recommend....if you're looking for a good time, avoid this place at all costs and spend your money in a much more deserving establishment, where you'll actually be made welcome.

Always have a great selection of drinks. If you are inclined towards a good alcoholic beverage, then this is a must whilst in Nottingham. I always pay a visit when I'm in town due to its great atmosphere, excellent drink selection, and good facilities. Special mention to the terrace up top which is somehow always comfortable come sun, rain, warm , or cold. Also, I am really grateful to Joel today for the brilliant service, communication, and knowledge he demonstrated.
