I would said nothing about place where is the library located . Because there is metro station just few hundred metres out. I wouldn't said nothing about how massive is the building . Because it's really big but looking nice ... Good luck !!

Famous and biggest library in Bilarussia. We visit it today 28th/08/2019 very nice place.

The observation deck entrance is at the back side of the building. Paid some fee, climbed the lift. The deck is overlooking the city of Minsk. Very beautiful view from here. There's a cafe and rooms for art exhibition. At night, we waited to see the light spectacle. Beautiful illumination. It's worth the wait.

I'll just make comments on the observation deck. It's one of the tallest buildings in Minsk, but you probably seen taller. Anyway, the main problem is, the deck is surrounded with dirty and imperfect glasses which distort the vision. It doesn't make any sense since the only purpose of this place is presenting a good view. Also binoculars are very old and not giving a clear view. If you're planing to drop by, you better keep your expectations low.

Cool bar to hang out. Good interior design, good music. There is live music 🎶 every night. Fast service and reasonable prices. The only reason i gave 4 stars is because the beers i ordered were not very cold ❄. I am sure it will be better, so go and visit this bar if you are around. It opens after 18.00 pm though, so check the opening times before going.

Good place with great live music. Good drinks selection, but some classic drinks are not on the menu, like Singapore Sling. Atmosphere is great. There are two main problems: 1. Lack of toilets and always long waits there, 2. Absolutely terrible service- you need to go and grab staff to service you. Prices are reasonable and good whiskey map.

Cute bar! I was new to today night life of Minsk, since I used to live there more then 10 years ago so my sister took me there and that was awesome! There was some kind of cover band that night... Cocktails are tasty and well done. But non-alcoholic options are seriously bad. Nice place to drink tequila with a friend (max 2) if you are not afraid of small places. The bar itself is super tiny but quite nice. The summer terrace is ugly and has uncomfortable sitting options. Sometimes there is a dj playing. But except his music you can also hear music from the bar next door. Impossible to be here even for a minute..

Nice place to have a quick bite to eat and a cocktail. Staff were very pleasant and the food was very delicious. The prices are moderate compared to the rest of the restaurants and bars in Minsk. Establishment was clean and the decor was very chic and cool. When I visited it was not very busy but this was during the week. I love it! It’s my favorite place in Minsk. Best cousins for me are pasta with seafood and salad with salmon and zucchini. A lot of kinds of cocktails, friendly stuff and interesting atmosphere. Good coffee, thematic evenings. You better need to reserve a place if you want to come Friday’s or Saturday’s evening.

Great place, amazing beer selections, tasty food. Prices are slightly bigger than in other part of Minsk, but other than that everything is superb. Btw Shopska Salad in menu looks and taste like Greek salad and it is really delicious=))

Close to the centre of Minsk in a pedestrianised bar street. Great selection of beers, including some craft Belarusian ales on tap. Go for the Minsk Mad frog unpasteurized ale, strong in alcohol but very tasty. Worth a visit for a beer and a bite to eat. Free internet, and friendly English speaking staff. Eclectic music, Black Sabbath, Iggy Pop, Jazz versions of Nirvana and Irish folk songs make for an entertaining soundtrack.

You can find really great selection of draft and bottled beers here, from lot of regions of the world, mostly Eupore through, and local beer of couse as well. If you not a big fan of beer, wine option is available, not a bad one. I like the style of this place, some food pin-up art on walls.

Great park on the embankment of river Svislach. Actually it is a dense forest which makes you feel like being miles away from a big city. If you are looking for activities or shops, you won't find many. But if you want to walk and relax, this is the ideal place! It worths a visit!

Really nice place to go for a walk, enjoy nature and spend some nice quality time alone or with friends. It is huge and with a lot of things to see/do, i recommend the birds island which is a fantastic place within the park.

We went there early September. Flower beds at the entry are a bit of a disappointment but it gets better as you go further. Good selection of roses. Also don't look mature enough to have a good display. Make sure you have visited a toilet BEFORE as we have only seen portaloos inside that park that I won't let my 7yo anywhere near! Still giving it 4* as there were beautiful places to see.

The best time to visit is morning. Free access to the orangery. Large park and a lake. Must see place in Minsk for just 4$ ticket cost (at the entrance you could pay by cash or a credit card).

Quite a nice bar, food was great, wine rather average, so maybe the wine menu should be a bit expanded or improved. Service was quick, the waiters are polite and attentive, for example when the doors were open to let in some fresh air we were asked if we felt fine cause we were sitting not far from it.

Let me be clear. I like the place and I will most certainly come back, because the coffee here is more than adequate and the service attitude is ok by Minsk standards, so my 3-star rating is a message and a statement. Guys, 19 minutes waiting time in a cafe is NOT okay! My desserts arrived 7 and 9 minutes past me placing the order -- ok-ish. Desserts were fresh and toasty, loved it, but the coffee arrived wholesome 10 minutes after that. Do you think the desserts stayed fresh and toasty by then? If you wonder why on earth I was tracking times, I have an answer that wouldn't please you. Last 2 visits I've had exactly the same experience, so this time round I thought I'd give it a measure and write a review. Or maybe give you a chance to prove me wrong, because, again, I like the quality of your food. But the third time wasn't lucky, the situation, sadly, is fairly consistent. Also, I have to report that I wasn't alone in my disappointment either: a guy sitting next to me went to chase for his order, which is something you'd expect to happen in a restaurant, not a cafe. Zerno is my favourite coffee shop in Minsk. It's one of those places that you want to visit during dark cold winter or nice warm summer. The staff speak fluent English and very friendly. They make a great coffee as well :)

Nice coffee bar with vegan options, I came two days in a row to work here. I had cacao from Alpro almond milk and an exceptionally delicious piece of vegan chocolate raspberry cake. The personnel speaks English and is super friendly. The music is great. The wifi isn't 100% stable and there's cold wind every time the door opens.

It was so-so. I am hoping to change this to a 5 star review in the next couple months once the weather gets warmer and the patio is open. But for now, it's average at best. I do like that there is no mirror in the bathroom. It deters the type of women that need to look at themselves every hour from coming to this cafe.

That's a good place for an evening meal and a drink. It is very cosy in there, awesome place for companies from 3 to 9 people. The music is not loud, the light is not too bright. The food is just great there (burgers are fantastic) and so are drinks. The prices are quite reasonable. The staff is really nice all the time. Maybe the only minor point is that it is not the easiest place to find, but this can as well be an advantage.

Interesting spot... above a "gentleman's club..." was quiet while I was there. (A Thursday night). They were friendly - english is touch and go though... but wasnt too bad. I left at 11 - was still quiet. Only had the beer - the draft was so\so - no craft beers here... and the only bottled beer was corona. Nevertheless - it has a good vibe. I believe at other times it would be more entertaining.

This museum has a lot of great exhibits. We went when they had a lot of old books on display, including the first printing of the Belarusian Bible. I especially loved the traditional clothing and money exhibits.

The museum was rather disappointing. While it has a lot of great artifacts on display, the curation of the exhibits could be improved. A self-guided tour would have been difficult had I already not known anything about Belarusian history. The museum staff was unhelpful, and some of them were outright rude to our family. The museum currently has an exhibit with a virtual reality component, but the staff almost religiously trys to keep you from using the VR gear, I guess to keep you from breaking it. Then as we waiting for a scheduled activity for children to start (which did not start on time), our kids got a bit rowdy, but not out of control (what do you expect from kids when they get impatient). One of the staff members came and told them to "stop running and breaking everything." We promptly left. Maybe on other days there are more friendly staff members on hand, but based on our experience, I would say that a visit to this museum is not worth the money it costs, and that it is not a place to take the family.

After walking in the cold rain, we found this oasis with beautiful waitresses, wonderful service, delicious pastries and nice coffee. So if you come to check the graffitis in minsk, take a small break here. The prices are also reasonable :)

The good: one of the only places open on Sunday morning in that area and super sweet waitresses. The not so much: cappuccino was small and served hardly warm. The shrimp toast was ok, even the pickles seemed to fit there somehow. But why on earth was the romaine salad there? It tasted weird. Pastries were fine but really nothing special. And the menu is way overpriced. A one-time visit for me.

Very lovely place with good music and top service. Staff is very friendly and talkative, a lady introduced to me the benefits of hot flat white and liquer. The only thing I was a little disappointed, lady suggested me liquer but didnt mention it was ~4 €, when the coffee was ~2 €, I wanted that to be said when I agreed. Despite of it, buns are baked in the cafe so are extra fresh and tasty. Wortg a sin and stepping our of diet. Flat white is cosmic.

Table service is very good. Don't order to the bar ! Or they will collect to you a big amount of tips without your agreement ! Coyote is expensive. Some european clubs are much better and less expensive. DJ music is good but some singers are boring... I will not return anymore. Bad experience for me !

Nothing has changed since beginning of 2000, same music, smoking is allowed in the club (common problem for all Minsk places), prices are not really reasonable for such quality place. Part of the club is even closed. Gave 2 stars for the polite stuff (bouncer and beautiful administrator).

Its a nice nightclub. Good decor. Nice locals. Beautiful girls. The music kills it. I never thought I would hear dance music I didn't like. That night I did.

You are transported to scenes of the 2WW through tanks, artillery and mannequins that are super realistic. You should definitely visit! The hall with the names of the heroes is incredible beautiful with stained glasses. A huge congratulations to everyone that put together this incredible museum.

Exposition is quite interesting however the stuff is closing museum at 18:30 not at 19 so I lost 30 min from of my sightseeing. Workers are not friendly looks like they don't like visitors.

A school parade was on close by, the patriotic music loud and the flags, held by each of the school kids, fluttering in the wind. A lovely backdrop on an excellent museum. The museum is new and expansive that takes the tourist through Belarus in the Second World War. There is everything from dioramas to weapons and even a few tanks. All material is in English and very extensive at that. The addition of an exhibit about “the raping of nanjing”, the Japanese army’s cruelty inflicted on the Japanese was brutal and fascinating.

Amazing museum, so many stories and so many items. My eyes were watering. It really captures the struggle and sacrifice of the people of former Soviet Union against the Nazis, and why their descendants will never forget or put up with nazism ever again.

Very small [in its sizes - both inside and outside] for such a significant and culturally important place. But there are very beautiful interiors and facade. It is also the single opera&ballet theatre in Belarus...

It was simply great! We had seats in the balcony zone, but the view was nice, the seats themselves were comfortable. The performance, and we attended a ballet performance, was fantastic, with bright costumes and good choreography.

Rather disappointing experience, especially for the high price you have to pay. I expected higher standards, and better overall cleanliness. There's always a long line at the water slides and I don't think it's that spectacular. The bathhouse is quite small and disappointing, there's only one pool with lukewarm water and a few saunas. I paid 110 rubles for 4 hours, I would've rather spent that money on anything else literally. I think the overall rating of this place is misleading.

The water in the waterpark was very cold. In the spa only 4/6 things worked. The workers are not friendly. Food is horrible. Saunas are to o cold. Lockers are too small. Could only buy ticket online (6h).

The water park was clean and had many water slides. The park has an indoor part and outdoor part . The indoor part has heaters and is huge and has around 8 slides and many pools , spa , jacuzzi, restaurant, toilets , surfing area . The indoor water slides were not much fun for me because they were to safe to be scared. The outdoor water slides seem to be better because they are very fast. However the outdoor part of the park is open only when the weather is above 25*c which is a rare thing to happen in minsk

Came here twice only for their saunas. There are 7 saunas, an ice-cold water tub, and a small pool to lounge in. It's a fantastic place to spend about an hour or so in. Although they have 7 saunas, I would say only 2 of them are to my liking (the extremely hot wet sauna, and the hot dry sauna), along with the ice-cold water tub.

Fantastic permanent collection spanning across many centuries. Highly recommend visiting when in Minsk. On par with a lot of European art museums.

Great museum in a lovely palace. Lots of paintings and soviet art from the most talented artists such as Shishkin and Alvazovsky. There are also works from european artists. Really a good experience.

A wonderful place to go to see some current exhibits. When I went, they had a new exhibit on the color red and how it relates to the Belarusian people. I found it interesting and the descriptions were well written. I have been several times and will continue to go back when they implement more exhibits as the rest of the museum doesn't change.

It wasn’t the food that inspired me on this short trip to Minsk, it was the artworks of one 19th century landscape painter, Ivan Aivazovsky. His piece “Night at Rodos Island” is sublime. The art works in this large gallery are expansive in period range and scale. There was an exhibit on horses and horse related art works that I found fascinating.

Compared to similar museums in other countries this is not a very big one, but it holds an excellent exhibition (mostly of paintings and some sculptures) by some great artists. The entry costs only 6byn, so there is no reason of thinking it too much. It really worths a visit.

Cool interior setting, nice staff, though very slow: less than 10 people in the place and we still waited for our order to arrive for almost an hour. The burgers were definitely overpriced, considering the size, but very tasty. The only real minus for me really was the waiting time, so if they could solve this problem - consider visiting with friends for a couple of beers.

This place is very interesting, there were a lot of things I liked and some I didn’t. The portion sizes are huge. We had the Brazil burger and the New France burger. The Brazil burger was excellent in taste, but arrived cold. The New France arrived hot but was not as good. I did not like the fact that the menu did not have any details about the food items, but the waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Service was reasonably fast. Drink selection was limited. Fries were dry and “spicy” fries weren’t really spicy. In addition, it’s definitely a sports bar environment. It’s very loud, and whenever they don’t have a sport playing they are blasting music.

Only buy burgers. I tried their dinner menu. They tried too much. Burger was much better. Oh try their beer. Good kraft beer. I forgot, soup was also fine.

I really enjoyed two things at this place: music and burgers. Also can't help mentioning the service Enzo could be proud of. And you can be sure you'll find what suits your taste: the menu is quite rich.

Great steak tartar here. I love the fact that the kitchen crew gave it their own interpretation and did not just go with the traditional style. Poached egg on top, very thin raw champignons and the parmasan cheese foam provided a lot of delicate flavours to combine with the meat to let the consumer create little unique flavours for every bite. A bit much rucola for my taste but you can always choose to eat less then presented, I think it made it more accessible for people not really familiar with steak tartar as it would almost match up with carpaccio in taste if you ate it with a lot of rucola. The steak, fries, carrot fries and salad where all great too!

The resto is located near a subway station, close to all kinds of nusinesses, in the heart of a historic district and has a large terrasse, lots of mivement around, especially in the evening, nice for people watching. Plenty of street entertainment around. Live show inside. Price range for the beers between 2 to 5 US$ pint (local and international brews). Decent choice of snacks and apps. Didn't try their dinner menu though, so - à voir!)

Traditional Soviet style indoor market with a large variety of meat, cheese, bread (including Central Asian breads), cakes and honey. Buy a small honeycomb bar from here and munch on it for a really tasty honey oozing experience. Lots of fruit and vegetable stalls outside.

My loved showed me Minsk and she brought me here and we bought lean, fish and cookies. Ate lunch and enjoyed the smells and Belarusian vibe and I can only describe this as "move fast or get ran over even by a 70 year old lady!

Been in Minsk for 9 days and was missing something. All of the food was a little bit on the bland side (except for one bowl of borsh). Then we went to Bar.dot and I had their chicken curry. Went here with my sister on a tuesday. The owner is very nice and speaks english very well so it's tourist accessible. The entrance fee is only 15 рублей(approx. <5 euro) and it comes with free tea and water. The place is on the 3rd floot of an apartment next to a few cafès which makes it a perfect place to visit even if for as little as 20 minutes on the go. The cats are all healthy, well maintained and not aggressive, they told us that they are rescued feral cats, you can adopt them if you want to. The place is very well decorated and well maintained too, there is not as much smell as we anticipated at all. The space is not very big, but it's cozy, there's an area dedicated to making drawings for kids. There's also Johnny (a small dog). Overall a nice place to visit, will visit again if i ever come back to Belarus.

Such a fun and intresting expirience! The cat museum is located in central Minsk, it is not too big, but very lovely and lovable place. Full of cat's painting and cat's decorations. And even a lot of cats walking around for you to pet and love ❤️ loved the museum and most definitly will reccomend to my friends to come and see!

Beautiful. Massive ornamental church. I don't understand it! Seems there is no area for people to sit and listen to the priest. Only people standing and praying. From the outside to the inside is highly decorated. Beautiful. I saw few men here and a lot of women. Many of the women were not in my opinion dressed to attend church the clothing was very provocative. Is that way they were praying?

My brother and his beautiful bride had the honor of being married at this amazing Belarusian Orthodox Church. So detailed, so ornate, a wonderful church highlighting the deep traditions, values and strength of the people of Belarus.

I didn't have any initial expectations when I stumbled upon L’angolo Italiano while exploring the city, but it's now probably my favorite Italian dining experience in Minsk. The restaurant invokes a charming ambiance, with its exposed brick walls, bay windows, and thoughtfully arranged tables that offer both intimacy and comfort. In my opinion, what truly elevates this restaurant is their exceptional quality of ingredients. Their yellowfin tuna tartare was the freshest I’ve ever encountered in Minsk - by far. Served with a sophisticated brown sugar sauce that complemented rather than overwhelmed the fresh fish. The carpaccio was equally impressive - paper-thin slices that melted effortlessly. Although I will note one suggestion, offering table side balsamic vinegar with this dish would have made the thoughtful service even better. The service matched the quality of the cuisine; assertive & attentive without hovering. While their dinner menu is not inexpensive, they offer an excellent lunch special menu (on weekdays) and deliver superb value through an authentic Italian dining experience where quality ingredients are treated with respect and transformed into authentic Italian dishes. Not really an Italian place, but I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service there. Overall I would say it is an Italian Fusion with a bit of East European influence :) Make sure to make a reservation as it is quite packed in the evening.

Then you have money and you built the bar in the loft town without any knowledge how to run it and what about good gastropub should be. Anyway it's a good try to simulate "I'm in the pub business". Love this place! Always a good selection of imported, domestic, & local craft beers. Friendly staff, comfortable vibe. I have worked in here with my laptop and eaten several yummy hamburgers. You don't need the silly black gloves though. Just wash your hands!

Fantastic little place. They offer a nice and everchanging range of high quality craft beers (mainly Belorussian) in a relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. There's even a room where you can do some beer-shopping to take home with a broad range. Returned here regularly during my stay in Minsk and can recommend everyone to do the same!

I enjoy it especially in the summer time because there is an air conditioner to stay cold. It is close to my home, metro station and good businesses. Lost count of how many times I went here in 2020! I recently visited Mesto for the first time in 2021, as this is one of my favorite small coffee shops in Minsk. I walked in and notice several pleasant customers all sitting with either computers or talking, etc. I immediately went to order a cappuccino and a breakfast meal and the female employee with dreadlocks asked me to put a mask on my face. I was lost and offended as to why there was such an odd request. I said no thank you and I walked out immediately. I thought it was especially strange because no customers were engaged in this apparent mask religion thing. I hope that Mesto can return to it's former glory in the near future.
