We had a dinner there on our first night in Absolutely loved the food, the staff and the beer! Guys were super friendly and attentive, our burgers were smacking and the beer was kicking. We stayed till closing and we left fully fed, very tipsy and super happy 🍻

Nice atmosphere! Loved the soundtrack! A nice and tast Burger, within fair price. I also got their chicken wings, which is always amazing. This time I went for the Golden beer Staff are great!

One of the best vegetarian burgers I’ve ate in the last few months. The onion ring inside was very interesting for me. People working there always friendly, the restaurant has a nice area with cool music.

Did the all you can eat wings on a Wednesday, good quality but slow to bring fresh wings as the place was busy. Recommend going at a lunchtime if you want a shot at a record

Delicious veggie burger called Return of the Veg, and excellent selection of beer. Friendly staff and inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.

Really great food, it's all homemade, good portions and fair prices. They cope really well with large groups. The staff are well organised, friendly and efficient. There's a nice relaxed atmosphere, you feel welcome to take your time with your meal and catch up with friends.

Very friendly pub, great atmosphere. Food was excellent. We had mozzarella sticks, cheesey garlic bread, Aberdeen scampi and Aberdeen Angus burger. Dog friendly. Would recommend.

While staying close to the pub we gave it a go. Wish we hadn't bothered. Food was standard and definitely not worth the price for standard pub grub posing as something special.

Nice quiant local pub that served really nice food and there was a wide selection too. Really looking forward to going here for a Sunday roast at some point too. Reasonably priced too and the 2 waitresses were very friendly.

The food was really great and worth the price and wait. We had to cancel and reorder a dish due to our mistake whilst ordering, but the staff was great and they managed to meet our expectations way beyond. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again. 👌

Wonderful pub with super Friendly locals, we was paddling and called in after one of the locals paid for a round of fireballs to 'warm us up' highly recommended this pub for anyone in the area They also have a jukebox, pool table, darts, and 2 live sports tv's!

Stopped for lunch here after a visit to Highland Alpacas. Lots of tasty choices on the menus but my shellfish allergy ruled out many of them. There Is a separate vegan menu and dairy free menu. The lounge area was quiet and the decor was charmingly rustic. We had a starter and vegetable soup with my daughter following this with fish sandwich with chips. The portion of fish in the sandwich was huge. did not give five stars as their fish supplier cannot guarantee to keep fresh fish separate from shellfish. The staff were proactive and attentive. Large toilet at lounge level which could be accessed by wheelchair.

We had reservations for 6 for breakfast (booked 3 weeks ago). Place is absolutely beautiful however...took a while to get menus and coffee orders. 35 mins later coffee sitting waiting to be brought over however girl served others/walking with questions etc instead of telling them to hang on a sec. Eventually we went up and grabbed our trays and of course coffee slightly cooled but everyone was so thirsty they drank. That was now 45 mins to get coffee...Girl was admittedly by herself but could have managed her time a Lot better. Food was OK but underdone to my liking for streaky bacon and sausages. My tomato was just a lumpy squished mess (others had a beautiful half tomato). Such a shame as my 1st time there. My Mum been there once b4 3yrs ago and said same slow service. About 5 tables sat with dirty dishes...never again.

Lovely Pub, very nice food. Service was great very friendly. Dog friendly, plenty of parking and garden. Views out to the coast. My wife and I had the roast, we both enjoyed our meals very much. Thank you.

I've wanted to try this place for years, and happened to be passing today. Checked the online menu as we sat in the car to ensure we could all get something we liked ...and then went in. Service was excellent, but we soon descovered that the menu inside was completely different, so had to pick something else. The haggis mac & cheese was tastey and substantial, but the steak salad was a bit heavy on the salad and mean on the steak.... (especially considering the price). We will go back but chose more wisely.

Really wanted to love this place. The staff couldn’t have been more disinterested if they tried. This could be such a great little property with the right oversight, a better trained staff, and some soap and water to clean it up. I am never bothered by things being worn but dirty is inexcusable.

Starters were a promising start, we had the trio of puddings which were excellent. It all went downhill from there. Me and my husband both had fillet steak with Peppercorn sauce. It should have been medium rare but it was medium. The Peppercorn sauce was awful, far to sweet. The triple cooked chips if you can call them that for starters were far to big, quite firm and were like a badly cooked Aunt Bessie's frozen roast potato and I'm not kidding! Triple cooked chips we have had in the past have been golden brown, crispy all around and fluffy in the middle. Wish we had said something now as it was VERY expensive (£42.50 for the steak and sauce each) but felt awkward as they were allowing us to stay in our campervan overnight. We were so annoyed when we came out we left and found somewhere else to stay. Would not return!

Absolutely delicious food! It's not very often you go out for food these days and actually get good quality food, a decent portion and great service but this was all 3!! Will definitely be returning here 💙 10/10

We came here in the early afternoon without a reservation. We had already visited last year and couldn’t get this place out of our minds – it impressed us so much back then, and this time our already very high expectations were even exceeded. The team is fantastic, the food came quickly, and the location is rustic, romantic, cozy, and simply beautiful. I had a hot chocolate – one of the best I’ve ever had – and without a doubt the best bacon sandwich I’ve ever eaten (from now on, I’ll be comparing every sandwich to this one). A special highlight is the toy train that runs just below the ceiling. Many thanks to the team for the wonderful time, the delicious food, and the lovely memory. We will definitely be back!

We stayed for two nights at the Boat Inn whilst working in the area. The Inn is situated in a beautiful location, close to the river, many walks and local attractions. Staff at the Boat inn were all lovely and friendly. Our room (15) was situated in the separate annex at the back of the Inn. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed whilst staying there including tea/filter coffee and a hairdryer. The walls were a little on the thin side, so we tried to be as quiet as we could be when getting up early to start work. The room was small with no desk, so with all our work kit it was a little tricky but was fine for a couple of days. There was parking at the back of the Inn which was very handy. The breakfast on offer was good, my husband had the full Scottish breakfast on both mornings, and I sampled the potato (tattie) scone with egg, veggie sausage one morning and the porridge with apple butter (extremely filling) the next day. You also have toast, tea or coffee and juices. All presented lovely and cheerily by the staff. The restaurant at night time gets very busy, so I would advise you to book a table to avoid disappointment or a wait. Good selection of dishes on the menu with several vegetarian/vegan options. We tried the loaded fries, the chickpea burger, the tempeh jerk curry and the steak. Can recommend finishing off the night with a boozy coffee. Good selection of whisky, draft ales, spirits and non alcoholic drinks on offer. The bar is dog friendly and they even had a doggie bar in the bar area at the back of the Inn. The staff were attentive and were very busy getting tables served. Keep an eye open for the train that travels around the top of the restaurant. All in all a lovely place to stay and eat. Would love to visit again when not working.

We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights. The staff were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Great location next to the river Dee which is lovely to walk along before breakfast. Excellent coffee too! Looking forward to staying again in the future.

My first impression was a typical modern, well run pub. Clean, efficient, and modestly priced menu which matched the understated "pub grub" sign outside. For sure their were hints. The menu pointed to something a little more than typical pub grub but not much; burgers, pies, fish and chips all with a bit of flair. However, on eating it, it was clear there is real talent and thought here, which went beyond my expectations at these prices. I had a veggie option (always a risky choice, which i have often regretted, especially as it involved portobello mushrooms, which are often soggy and slimy in the wrong hands), my partner a chicken and leek pie. We were both bowled over. My mushrooms were firm and chewy with plenty of taste and textual highlights; both our plates were full of detail I'd expect to pay more for. This is the much talked about but rarely delivered elevated standard pub fare. My only complaint it is not local to me.

Came here for food, had not booked but came as a walk in. Made very welcome, seated upstairs in a cosy area with rooflights and fairy lights. Good choice of local real ales, menu was smaller than I'd have liked, perhaps 5mains or a few burger options. Quite expensive £18 for burger etc but the fresh salmon and potato's caught my eye. Very fresh and tasty, £22 but decent portion. Good service and relaxed atmosphere. Perhaps somewhere for a special occasion rather than a general lunch but worth a visit in the area. Lovely views too!

We were the only folk there so not sure why we waited 45 minutes…but when it came the food was delicious and they went the extra mile by preparing a birthday treat for me. If you go leave enough time as it takes a while but worth the wait. Lovely waitress and nice extra touches.

Beautiful interior, very attentive staff (thank you Jenni!), tasty food and cocktails. We were the first to sample the new Sunday roast for 2 offering, it was excellent, the whole thing was very tasty. Highly recommended!

Cocktails and service was nice but food was a bit of a let down. We ordered 6 small plates and was barely enough for 2 of us. Food quite bland and not very exciting. Asked for more pita bread for the hummus but was told I'd need to order the dish again to get more bread so the kitchen can track the stock... Lol. Rather disappointing. Service was nice tho!

An absolute gem of Aberdeen. I had the most amazing cocktails made with a wonderful smile and a great sense of humour by Rhiann. I only intended on having one but her skill and passion and the wonderful attitude she possessed, I just couldn't settle for one. I ended up spending most of my weekend there. Her sidekick Ben was an absolute star, great conversation and plenty of laughs, made this dynamic duo an absolute dream to be served by. No request was too much, their combined knowledge and their humour and wittiness made my visits and absolute pleasure. Totally an asset to the Spiritualist and anyone passing through Aberdeen should pass by and experience this level of service and commitment. It would be criminal not to. Can't wait to visit again.

I never had any food that’s why I put a 2 star but I feel it would be good as they are on aberdeen restaurant week?. We are doing cocktail making it’s the mixology one was very good!! I would maybe take hand sanitiser with you though as your hands may get a bit sticky ahah.

Great little hidden speakeasy tucked away on Belmont. Stumbled upon it and loved the atmosphere. The £10 signature cocktails are amazing and well thought out and balanced. Had 3-for-2 small plates with a great variety : had the fritters, bao, and poutine. Evan and Charlie (Charlotte) were friendly, attentive and prooud of the establishment. Bonus points for being in a basement so the bathrooms are on the same level!!!

Firstly. Service: phenomenal, was greeted instantly, kind and soft spoken server and our water jug was refilled when it wasn’t even empty. The way my jaw dropped at the level of sophistication this place has (even at almost 1am). Please come here is your unsure as I could not recommend more. Furthermore the actual drinks here are delicious and well thought out, plus, the mixologists know what they’re on about here. I referenced a drink from a video game and one of the bartenders knew what is was, told me and said he could make it if I wanted. 6 stars!!!!

The pepper saltzman was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. It wasn’t even one that caught my eye at first but I was having trouble deciding between all of the amazing-looking drinks and asked our waitress for help. She was extremely knowledgeable and gave great descriptions of all the drinks. We were planning to stay for 1, maybe 2, drinks, and instead stayed for 3 plus the 3 for 2 deal on small plates—all were delicious, especially the fried chicken bao buns.

Been coming here for yeeeears and it never disappoints!!! Celebrated our 10 year anniversary with our favourites.... Rye Old Fashioned and the dirtiest of dirty Gin Martini!!! You guys are all amazing, make us feel special evertime we're in, even when the place is packed... which is always, make sure you book! If not a seat at the bar watching the magicians.. sorry mixologist is well worth it!!! Cheers guys and see you soon!

Was here early afternoon for cocktails. As it was early it was quiet. Not all the food menu was available so we didn't eat. Cocktails were great. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks.

We have traveled to many a famous cocktail bar in our time. The Tippling House measures up to the likes of Death & Co in New York. Inventive cocktails with refreshingly unique pairings of base spirits, fantastic liquers, and various modifiers make for a wonderful imbibing experience. When paired with the excellent service and knowledge of libations the staff bring to the table, it makes the place special. Go here, have a drink, and be happy.

Tasting menu was very nice and cooked to perfection and all cocktails very original, unusual and very tasty. The service was also very good. I wasn't too keen on the ambience - a bit too dark and cold. Some background music would be also nice as it was awfully quiet at times. EDIT: I didn't realise the rule for music applied to restaurants. My apologies - if it was possible, I'd add half a star :) 0

It was okay! I feel like I expected more from this place. The food was just okay, service was hard. We walked in and were ignored for a bit before a guy behind the bar was super kind and offered to serve us. We were there for quite a long time just for lunch, I was hoping to be in and out much quicker than that

Stopped off for a quick lunch on our way past and it did not disappoint! Really chilled atmosphere/vibe , some cool decor , friendly service from Teigan and Bev, the burgers were really good but the roulade dessert was absolutely amazing. So tasty! Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Wonderful experience. I rarely leave reviews as I work in hospitality management and tend to be overly picky, however this so lovely I felt like I had to! The staff were welcoming. The food was outstanding. The oysters were some of the best I’ve ever had, I could probably have had about 20! Normally I would not have ordered a chicken dish but oh my gosh it was delicious. You can tell the chefs really care about their cooking and put love and thought into all their dishes. The wine menu was also a really welcome change from the boring standard restaurant choices. This shows the whole operation was carefully thought out. When the bill came I was surprised by the amazing value for money! We will definitely be back time and time again!

Best place for a real ale in Aviemore. We've visited the OBI quite a bit over the years and love this place. Most recently, the real ale selection was fantastic, and really well kept. We had the fillet steak, which was cooked exactly as we asked and had a lovely flavour. The smoked peanuts are also very good!

We visited for a Sunday roast after a morning up in the mountains and we were not disappointed. Friendly staff, prompt service, delicious food and good portion sizes. We both had the soup followed by roast pork with all the trimmings and we felt these were good value. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing atmosphere and staff, food not as great though - quite limited choice on the menu. Spring roll was quite tasteless, main course - chicken was tasty but the chicken breast was Asda dry as a bone. Desert was amazing - poached pear and Ice cream. If I went back I'd have a different starter then a pudding.

We went in for dinner but it was fully booked. The food looked good so we were disappointed. Interesting alpine ski vibe with Aussie bar staff and waiters. Thought we were in the Kangaroo Bar in St Anton!! We had a couple of pints at the bar but didn't feel very included/loved. A popular but slightly aloof place. Book in advance.

I found the Tavern while travelling through Forres, my dog and I are staying in the area and had a busy day, so I was looking for a dog friendly place to grab a bite to eat. Mosset Tavern turned out to be the perfect spot! They even have a wee dog menu with treats and bowls of food, how lovely 😍 my girl enjoyed her doggy fish and chips while I enjoyed my fish and chips, which was amazing as we walked and swam all day. Friendly and attentive bar staff made this place even better. We will definitely return when we're back at the Cairngorm National Park in the future x

15.7.25 Back again for another lovely meal....had the same main but a different dessert. Service is excellent...nothing is too much bother for them and always a smile. 11.7.25 Great menu with some healthier choices plus all the usual. Lovely fish with roasted vegetables....puddings all looked gorgeous but too sweet for me....will try the poached fruit next time. Service excellent. Only gripe is the uncomfortable bench seats ...why do they always have to be so upright. Would recommend, although it can get very noisy when full.

A bit of a hidden gem in Forres. Attentive service, all staff very polite and professional, and willing to accommodate our requests. We ordered a Bordeaux and clean glasses were carefully placed down in front of each of us, with opportunity for someone to taste the wine. Food quality was excellent. I had the chicken schnitzel and there was a generous amount of chicken that was perfectly cooked and the mushroom sauce tasted fantastic. A good selection of real ales on tap too. I'll definitely be making a trip here again.

Food was tasty, though a bit on the pricey side. Great location with a parking area, and the restaurant itself is clean and well-kept. However, service on arrival was disappointing—despite the “wait to be seated” sign, staff seemed inattentive, and we were left waiting until my husband expressed frustration. Only then were we told to take a table near the reception. Room for improvement in hospitality.

Senior lunch today, the most beautiful Brie and beetroot tart. Lucky to get some, they ran out at 12.20. Best lunch yet!

What a gem of a place, great service with a smile the staff were fantastic, great selection of beers, whisky and other spirits... Then there's the food, I had the ribs and my partner the schnitzel, both were absolutely incredible, cooked to perfection and the portion sizes are massive! Easily the best ribs I have ever tasted, falling of the bone. 100% recommend and will be back, thanks guys!

Loved the mosset tavern, we went in a Sunday and had the famous Sunday roast which was lovely, I had the roast beef which just melted in your mouth, best Sunday roast I've had in ages. Lovely old building with an interesting history located in a beautiful location with a nice pond and burn just next to it. Busy place so booking is recommended especially if it's a Sunday. Wheelchair access able and good for kids. Would definitely go back!

We are not whisky drinkers, but we really enjoyed the tour at Glenlivet Distillery. It was a very interesting and informative tour, and we left with a deeper appreciation of the science and art behind a great single malt Scotch Whisky. Our tour was conducted by Amber, and she did a fantastic job in explaining all the details clearly. A special mention too for Emma, who kindly allowed us to join the tour even when we were late to arrive.

A Fantastic Experience at The Glenlivet! Our visit to The Glenlivet was absolutely wonderful! The distillery itself is stunning — surrounded by breathtaking scenery and beautifully maintained inside and out. Our tour guide, Caitlynn, made the experience even better. She was fun, friendly, and incredibly informative, sharing the history and process behind The Glenlivet with great enthusiasm. It was the perfect balance of education and enjoyment. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Speyside!

Wow, what a beautiful distillery and tasting room. We came in to the distillery while we were out hiking the Drumin Castle Circuit, which is the same hike as the George Smith Smugglers Trail, except for the starting point as the Smugglers Trail starts at the distillery. We had tastings, and my hen and I also had margaritas made with the Caribbean Reserve. Our tasting consisted of very generous pours of the Captain's Reserve, Caribbean Reserve and 15 years of age single malt scotch whisky. Honestly we were not too keen on any of them. I would say we may had needed to push on and try some more until we found the one to our liking, but we needed to finish our hike. If we had drank anymore I sure we would had crawled instead of walk the rest of the trail 😂 We did very much enjoyed the margaritas, but I think we will just keep using tequila instead of the Caribbean Reserve, as it cost £30 for a 70 cl bottle. We would like to thank the Glenlivet Estate and The Glenlivet Distillery staff for their wonderful hospitality as we had a grand time!

We had an amazing time at The Glenlivet Distillery, Ross was an outstanding guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made the whole experience both educational and fun. The history, the behind-the-scenes look at the whisky-making process, and of course, the tasting, absolutely top-notch. If you're visiting Speyside, this tour is a must. Thanks, Ross!

Had an awesome time at The Glenlivet Distillery! The tour isn’t as pricey as some others, but it’s packed with history and fun facts about both the brand and Scotch whisky in general. You get to try three whiskies at the end — the 12, 14, and 16-year-old — which is a nice change from the usual 12, 15, and 18. They also give you a 10% discount voucher for any whisky purchase, and you can sample more before you buy. Great whisky, great value, and a really enjoyable.

Although we didn’t get to join the tour, we were totally impressed by the place! The bar was exceptionally nice, and the staff were so sweet and welcoming. We picked up a few souvenirs on our way out and hopefully, we’ll get to try the tour next time!

During my visit to Scotland I wanted to have a whiskey tasting experience and I was thrilled to see the Glenlivet distillery was couple ours away from the place I stayed as Glenlivet is one of my favorite whiskeys. The day I had booked I was running late and called them and asked can they accommodate me and my friends for a later tour. Even it was clearly said they would not be able to reschedule for later time, in the booking details, they told me they will try their best to include me in a later tour as I mentioned I was visiting all the way from New York. Now for the tour I should mention, Amber was really welcoming, knowledgeable and very pleasant the way she interact with guests. Thanks Amber. The Distillery itself sits in a nice estate with beautiful surroundings. Inside the building is modern with a nice waiting area a bar and a store. Although they could improve the variety of merch they have in the store, they have decent offerings.

This is the best B&B we stayed in Scotland! Very very charming, well decorated, well preserved, located close to the Spey river and wonderful walk around. Staff is kind and very polite. Restaurant and whiskey bar were the highlight with cozy environment, amazing selection of whiskeys and great food for dinner. Menu was rich of interesting choices and we couldn’t be more pleased with the fantastic dinner we had. A place to come back and recommend to friends and family.

Came here on a recommendation from an older employee, Bea, who worked at our hotel. Ended up getting the haggis ragu which was delicious. Hubby got the steak🥩, which he enjoyed. We originally ordered the toffee pudding to share but it was too delicious, we had to get another. caesar salad and french onion soup were good too.

Came for an early dinner without a booking. Not a problem as there were plenty of outdoor tables which is what we were looking for. Unfortunately, once they got busy inside it wasn't easy to get consistent service outside. The food was good but nothing special. Unfortunately, there are not many options in the area so if you want to sit outside on a lovely sunny afternoon and have time to spare, this is your place!

As a seasoned traveller who'd explored the world's finest haunts around the World, I am utterly appalled by the abject rudeness at The Mash Tun Hotel Bar. My sons and I arrived a full 15 minutes before their unposted, capricious closing time at 10 PM (in early August, in peak tourist season), only to be dismissed like vermin by a staffer whose contemptuous tone reeked of unearned arrogance. The place was half-packed with patrons leisurely sipping away, clearly set to linger another half hour or more, yet we were denied even a quick dram, despite ample time to serve us. A simple "please finish in 20 minutes" would have sufficed, but no, they opted for public humiliation, turning us away in full view of the crowd after we'd trekked there in good faith. This wasn't service; it was a deliberate insult, unworthy of any establishment claiming hospitality. Shame on you. Never again. EDIT after the owner's response. Your staff told you wanted to hear. At 9:55 we were already enjoying our drinks at another place, of which I have the proof from my bank, following my payment. - and we were on foot, too. So you decide whether what you heard were sweet little lies or not. And one last time: your reply is exactly what I expected. It fits perfectly. Cheers.

We called in here at the last minute after Storm Floris blacked out our nearby accommodation and restaurant. Staff could not have been more helpful, quickly securing us a spot and delivering a top class Venison Bourgignon Pie. There's a decent range of beers on tap and of course a massive range of whiskies. And the setting is lovely, right near the river in a lovely room, a big step of from your classic pub.

We didn't stay here but stopped by for lunch. The food was delicious and they had a great whisky selection, plus a cigar room. Best burger I've ever had! Will definitely be back next time we're in the area

We called in, without a table reservation and we were pleases to get a table immediately. The food was so delicious. The room we were in was lovely, interesting. The toilets were very clean, modern and top standard

Very nice place, good food and nice people but in my opinion prices were a bit to high for both portions and taste. Crispy squid was 10/10 but two other dishes I tried were just fine - especially dumplings, imo a bit undercooked. Steak was also delicious 8/10.

Nice food, nice live music but lazy waiters, waited a very long time to get our beer to the table while they were not serving anyone but laughing behind the counter chatting to eachother. Kitchen was closed 30 minutes before the time declared on maps, which ended up with us getting a refund on a order we placed. That's very sad.

Nice traditional pup in Aberdeen. Good selection of beers on tap and nice looking food menu. The snack menu we chose of was very good, food well cooked and the service was really good too.

Advertised Hazyday and a free sample and on the sign said 1/3 sample. Though we were charged for this sample. When questioned we were told upper management made the decision to not actually give out free samples and charge customers. Another customer asked what we were drinking and and we told them about the situation where you are actually charged for a free pint. Member of staff then piped up and claimed that you do actually get a free taster and that they didn’t make the sign. Pretty poor to claim to offer a 1/3 pint taster then actually charge for it

We visited this beautiful, traditional Scottish bar and were impressed by both the atmosphere and the service. We would love to come back :-) The waitress named Anja was absolutely fantastic: very friendly and polite, super personable. She also speaks very good German, so German tourists who don't speak English are in very good hands there. @Bar manager: please don't forget the promised pay rise for Anja! Great service and cute pub inside and out. Trivia night was starting, wich we could've stayed for that!

First time in Aberdeen and was fully impressed with the asthetic of the bar and the staffs overall service. The gentleman with the long black hair Victor I believe was his name. He was very helpful with service of food and drinks and with advice on the city.

First time being in here in many years, potentially since it became a part of a chain. Used to be a frequent place when a student and there was always a good platefull no matter what you ordered. We were a party of 3 and found there was plenty seats even though the Tall Ships were just arriving in the city. Me and my partner had the fish and chips and my mum had the beer battered halibut. Decent plate portions with the two fish and chips being tasty and no complaints. The beer battered halibut was large, however on getting some of it to try, the beer batter overpowered any taste of the fish. Bit disappointing, but as it was over £16+ my mum (81) still finished it with stray chips and parts of the fish magically appearing on my plate every so often. 😂

My sister and I were travelling and came upon this wonderful pub in Aberdeen Scotland. The food was excellent and the staff attentive, super friendly and fun to talk to. Waitstaff Fergus and Shawn represent this establishment well and the owners are fortunate to have them.

This was my first time in Aberdeen and I just stopped by for a beverage yo explore this pub. Connor was serving me. The service was excellent and Connor made me feel really welcomed. I very much enjoyed being at the pub and I can highly recommend! Oh, The Snug is marvellous!

The wait for our food that we had pre-ordered was three hours. We waited in a 130 deciple bar with obviously over served patrons, but do you think we could get drinks? No. What a mess!

Fantastic place. Has a roof top beer garden, though it was a bit chilly in the shade. The staff is lovely and provides fast service. We went with friends and had a lovely time. The drinks are fine and the food was delicious. Most of us had the duck confit which was delicious. The salmon fish cake and chicken Kiev was very good too. For desserts we had the sticky toffee which was a bit dry and the peach frangipani which was okay.

Staff and manager congregated at the end of the bar. Swore repeatedly throughout their conversation in ear shot of my two kids. Food on a whole was really nice. I dont know what happened with the steak pie on this occasion far too much salt was added - thought it was just me but my husband tried and agreed.

Rooftop garden was peaceful and sunny. Steak amd ale pie was amazing with extra gravy and good mash/cabbage combo. The pastry was split in half with the steal inside which was a new touch I liked a lot

We went to visit this place because of the soft play area. Its a simple soft play area and excellent if you just want a place where your child can play. The food was not the best. I mean it's edible but if you have a certain preference for a certain aesthetic this might not be for you. The place and plates were not as clean as I'm used to. You ever been to a place where you want to start wiping down the tables yourself. This was me. Otherwise, honestly it's not a place I would visit again unless I was desperate. It's budget friendly. I ate the chicken salad.it was ok.

Excellent service from manager. Jodie seated us instantly, food came still piping hot and steaks cooked exactly as ordered. Unfortunately food looks so good I have no before picture but there is an after hahahah

Usual meeting place for my friend and myself. The atmosphere is always relaxed and unhurried and it's not noisy so a conversation is possible. The selection of food is good but to be honest could be better prepared. That said,the service is good and the staff friendly. Betty is a gem and goes out of her way to make sure things are fine.

***(during the pandemic of the broken extractor fan)*** So... Overall not very satisfied as our first visit. Upon entry, told that it's a limited menu due to the broken extractor fan in the kitchen. We decided to stay and eat (2 adults & 3 kids) Made our order. Soon then told something on the kids menu is out of stock. Rearranged the order. Then not long after that, told my partners order was still in the freezer and would take too long to cook. Server spoke very softly and quietly, hard to hear. The kids play area was closed off. Kids had nothing to do while waiting. Overall very disappointed with the bill of over £50 for microwaved food. Not happy unfortunately

We had a celebration of my late mums life here, the restaurant was spotless & spacious, the staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, we had enormous amounts of crisps, nachos, sandwiches, chicken goujons, chips, as much teas & coffees all in within the set price. I have been back since & will definitely be returning often.

Wonderful British Pub. Found on CAMRA as they have four to six true hand drawn cask conditioned ales. Food was really good. Fish and chips were great. You can tell the fish was fresh. Service was spot on. Everyone was friendly and helpful and catered to us tourists by helping us find more local spots. Great time.

This is one of my favourite authentic bars. A very atmospheric place with great bartenders. We’ve already come back here a few times with friends. The snack menu is limited, but the beer selection is excellent! 🍻

Very nice stop at Prince of Wales. A good sample of Scottish cask beer with good advice and even possibilities to test ( they are also a lot of classical draught beers). I was really surprised by food that was really tasty and with a large choice. It's not on the mains street but it really worth the detour.

A proper pub with character! The Prince of Wales is full of charm — dark wood interiors, a classic bar, and that cosy, old-school feel you want from a good British pub. Tried their deep-fried haggis fritters (pictured), and wow — crunchy on the outside, rich and peppery inside, exactly what you’d hope for. Came with a fresh rocket salad and a light vinaigrette that balanced out the richness perfectly. Simple, hearty, and well done. Drinks were great too — solid beer selection, including local brews, and the service was friendly and unfussy. It’s the kind of place where you could easily lose track of time with a pint in hand. Perfect for a relaxed evening or a casual bite with proper Scottish flair. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in town and want something authentically local.

We were hungry and looked for a pub with good reviews close to the bus station. This one was perfect. Nice pub atmosphere. Found a table to sit despite it being busy. The bar staff were friendly and the service fast and efficient. The food came out much faster than we expected. My steak and ale pie was very tasty. No nasty gristle and my wife’s mince was good too. The Lemon tart was nicely tangy. Not Michelin star but just fine. We’ll be back with family next time.

The haggis pie was divine. I did not like the Cullen Skink soup. It was unlike all others I've had before.

Super pleasant atmosphere in the pub. The food was of high quality, and the staff were extremely professional when it came to dealing with allergies. The food arrived very quickly, and the mood was great throughout the entire evening. I can absolutely recommend the gluten-free food here.

Great food and nicely decorated restaurant. Wait staff was very friendly but when the restaurant got busy after 6p, there didn’t seem to be any increase in staff, thus affecting our service. Besides that, food was excellent.

Was nothing to rave about. Past few times it’s not been same so today is defo last time. Fish & chips cremated batter/dry fish. Partner had mornay & his roast potatoes were also cremated. Think old fat too. My grandchild had the haddock but not edible as so overdone that batter was crunchy. I had the chicken chilli fillets with rice and it was nice enough but overall disappointing for what it cost.

Lovely food, good size portion, nicely decorated restaurant and friendly staff. Price was little on the steep side but so is all restaurants going that way now unfortunately. The menu didn't have as much choice as I'd hoped for and you didn't get salad or caulslaw with the burger. I enjoyed my meal tho and was able to take home my left overs for later which I enjoyed.

Was just here for a family meal for my Grans birthday. There were 24 of us there but the friendly staff were great and were quick about getting us our food and making sure we had everything we need. I had the Korean BBQ Mac & Cheese and the Honeycomb Parfait both of which were delicious. Only complaint is the lighting, it is a bit dark, and although it was nice to be warm it was a little too hot for some of us.

The food at the Fourmile was rather delicious indeed. My tart was a real highlight, as was my haddock and chips. My dining partner’s millionaire dessert tart was to die for and the service from our waitress was second to none. Polite and friendly staff offered their recommendations and were very attentive without being invasive which I loved. A brilliant wee (well not to wee) eatery with plenty of service with a smile.

Was here today for my dad’s funeral tea and I have to say I will not be recommending to anyone. The service was awful you had to ask for more tea and coffee. Staff was not happy to be there and you felt it. One small plate of sandwiches maybe 4/6 triangles, 4 scones and some sausage roll on each table. £12:45 per head was not worth the money. You was been chase out after an hour as they wanted to clean the tables.

Have visited twice now. Once for coffee & cake and once on a Sunday for food. Cool place with a relaxed vibe and great views. Food was great too. All home made stuff. Dog friendly.

Amazing food at the Falls of Feugh Restaurant. I only went to have the highly recommended Cullen Skink, which is truly amazing. This then led onto the Venison Stew and the Strawberry and Lime Cheese Cake to finish. Summer body can wait until next summer. 😆

We had a beautiful lunch. The weather was sunny and cool, the flowers were blooming, the ambiance was relaxing and refined, service was wonderful, and lunch was delicious. I'm so glad we made a reservation here.

We chose the Falls of Feugh as our wedding venue and had the most wonderful day. The food was absolutely incredible—so many of our guests commented on how delicious everything was. The team were great and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. On the day itself, the staff went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. We’re so grateful for their kindness and professionalism. Thank you for making our day so special.

Fantastic real Scottish dishes. The best Cullen skink I've ever had, followed by perfectly-cooked venison loin served with beef stovies potato and seasonal vegetables.

Impromptu visit on a Sunday to get out and enjoy the warm mild weather, we turnt up just before they closed but they were still very happy to serve us tea and cakes, a beautiful calm spot, well sheltered and scenic. The staffs were very friendly and the food was delicious. We had tea and a couple of tray bake slices and shared a scone, everything was lovely. We will be coming back for a proper meal here soon. Prices were very reasonable. Parking onsite or just across the road. Dog friendly outside.

Lovely staff. It was my birthday and they were very kind and made it very special. I also have a nut and peanut allergy and they were very reassuring. We didn’t have any cash and couldn’t tip with card machine unfortunately but we will remember next time! Recommend!

Very pleasant compact Cafe along with an in house pottery, prints etc. Selection of Tea 🍵 great coffee ☕️ & a variety of cakes, plus a soup of the day which was very nice with quality tasty bread 🍞 or a choice of croissant 🥐 / cheese scones. Very pleasant service. The property is being upgraded to house larger facilities for all elements of the business. 👍😁

Wednesday is the busy day at Platform 22, as it's market day. Despite this, and the influx of a few groups of cyclists, the two staff coped admirably. Good coffee and good cakes. Sadly I missed out on the scones, so they must have been good.

It's a charming place for a cup of coffee or hot chocolate or if you are looking for a tasty treat. The ambience is cosy, and the hospitality is top-notch. I really love the place.

Go on a wednesday, small artisan food market outside. Great quality food and coffee at realistic prices. Great wee place, full of locals.

Saw these guys online and made a special visit to experience Lily's Pizza from a Horsebox! Cozy place. Nice chat with the owner and a local...wonderful time, pizza was delicious! Must visit if you're hanging out in the River Dee area.

Great bar. Dan the bartender was excellent in sugesting whiskys to me. He was very helpful. One needs a good guide like him to show you the good stuff. Only got there twice but will be back every time I am in town. Great selection of good whiskys.

Brilliant bar. Loads of awesome ales. Hundreds of awesome whiskys and brilliant staff. If you smoke they also have what a dedicated temperature controlled and dehumidified cigar room.

Big fan of this place. It's in a basement down a granite street by the bus station and has a huge range of beer available, but the big draw is the whisky range which is massive. Staff know a lot about the drink on offer which is always nice to see and are friendly. There's a whisky list on their website to look at as there's no printed one. They also do cigars if that's your thing!

Excellent fare. Good choice of beer, my choice and wine selection very good. Staff attentive and eager to please. Must be, as this is our 3rd time of visiting.

Knowledgeable and very friendly staff made our visit a pleasure. The manager helped with all our purchases (scotch, coffee, cigars) with patience and a sense of humor. Great selection and wonderful service. Highly recommended the siphon coffee!

Stopped in for a pint and a ploughman's, they were out of brie (disaster) but just happily replaced it with more of the other cheeses. Absolutely magic. Very friendly and accommodating staff, and excellent selection of drinks on tap. Will be back next time I'm in Aberdeen.

Fantastic place! Made to feel welcome from the first instant. Our room (Yew) was spacious, well appointed and so clean. I cannot make a negative comment about this place. We were travelling around Scotland and booked here for 3 nights. If we didn't have to carry on with our travels, we would have extended our stay.

An amazing meal after a round of golf at the nearby course. Great range of gluten free options for all courses. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Would be happy to return any time we are in the area.

Ths is one of the most beautiful pubs in Aberdeenshire. We keep going back when we're up the road. The meals are to die for & what a menu!!! You have the most beautiful views of Bennachie from here. The garden is pristine & perfect. The staff are so courteous & friendly. The inside is so homely & everywhere is immaculately clean. The manager is such a lovely gentleman & makes you feel right at home!!! Until next year, Redgarth!!!

We arrived earlier than opening but welcomed in and immediately served. Fine range of beers, lagers and drinks. The food menu well balanced and the quality very nice indeed. Hosted by Stuart and his staff, making a very pleasant early afternoon lunch and drinks. Lovely setting and welcoming pub.

Called in early on Saturday to get the afc collab cans for display in my pub. Ended up staying for a pint and a chat with the staff and ended up adding to my glass collection after my wife smashed my fierce cerveza glass which was my favourite. Great selection on tap with lots of variety to suit everyone's tastes from lager to ipa's to stout they've got you covered. Can't wait to return on my next visit to the granite city.

Our favourite bar and brewery in Aberdeen! Excellent craft beer and they stock some fantastic guest beers too, which are rotated often enough. They also do a 10% student discount.

A lovely pub, Scottish rugby memorabilia on the walls as well as anything to do with fishing. Extremely welcoming and helpful staff, food portions were huge but yummy and the drink prices were super cheap. Definitely go back before I leave.

Great bar in Aberdeen with cozy ambience and good service. Went for lunch before ending our visit. Fish and chips is authentic and tasty. Curry rice was ok, supposed to come with a papadom however due to short staffed it wasn't served. We were compensated with free beer which I thought was definitely awesome and responsible!

A real, Scottish, port bar number one to visit in Aberdeen. Whiskey, beer, filling original dishes for people of the sea. Next to a large fishing and commercial port. Walking to the bar we pass the former headquarters of the merchant companies. You can feel the atmosphere of sea life. Real Alba is FITTIE BAR (since 1821)

I'm up doing training at allied training next door to the fittie bar I went in for lunch today and had a absolutely amazing homemade steak pie it was a proper steak pie in a pot not just the usual meat and pastry on top. The meal was that nice I decided to go back for dinner and had haddock and chips and it was honestly the nicest fish I have ever tried in my life super fresh and less than a tenner. Staff where super friendly and so we're the punters 10/10 for food and atmosphere.

First time ever in here, and will be back Quaint wee bar, stacked with history - service was good, pints were clean and tasty…….. some people might say dated, I’d say atmospheric and appropriate

Great location, friendly service, beautifully laid out room interiors, cosy romantic and warm. Quirky names given to the rooms, such as Stewart and Wallace. Breakfast was amazing for the price and probably the best we’ve had yet. Parking can be challenging as it’s in street only, and only allows 2 hours max between 8am and 8pm.

Spent 4 nights in this quaint inn. Room was comfortable with comfy bed. Pub on ground floor was a great place to end my day. Food was fantastic and the staff and beverage selection was ideal. No elevators. Rooms are 1 to 2 flights up. Staff was nice and helped carry one piece for me. Location was a good for what I wanted, but a bit of a hill to get to/from the train station. Suggest taking a taxi to the hotel to save the uphill trek. Not a very touristy town but has plenty to see (museums). Great restaurants and pubs in the area.

Nice old style pub spoiled by the extortionate drinks prices. More expensive than the Millennium Hotel we were staying at which was definitely not expected. Staff on duty were doing their job but much friendlier staff on duty at our hotel so won’t be returning here unfortunately.

Our Walking Group had our Summer Lunch at The Globe Inn, excellent choices for everyone, great food, service was superb and we were well looked after by Caitlan and her colleagues. Nice place for a meal and we all enjoyed ourselves. Thanks

Lunchtime visit with a friend. Given menus and told the days special. Our food and drinks order was placed and when the food arrived it piping hot. Generous proportions and very tasty. Friendly staff and efficient service.

Fine wee bar with a lovely cosy feel. There is a great beer garden overlooking the harbour. The food was great, good traditional pub grub. Good service from the staff. Excellent wee gem, would recommend.

The best food I had in my week in Scotland. Very crisp and tasty and hot. The waitress was gorgeous and very kind, and very helpful when my brain malfunctioned after a long day of driving. Sitting outside in the sun, reading, watching the sea. Perfect spot!! Definitely recommend!

This pub is a real hub of the village, providing a post office, meals, quiz night etc. There is clearly a close community with the staff knowing many of the customers, but it is also very welcoming to the tourists (like ourselves.) The food is great pub grub, with obviously a good seafood selection, given the location. Can thoroughly recommend the Cullen skink, Highland burgers and scampi. Good selection of local beers too. Indoor tables, dart board, big screen tvs. Lots of outdoor seating, some of it undercover, a great place from which to watch wild seas.

Fish and Chips here is absolutely fantastic. Great sized portions and all reasonably priced. A great selection of drinks and nice coffee.

On a trip with the motorbike. Had two meals at the Harbour bar. Both excellent value and quality , Infact when all dining seems very expensive 2 very good meals for under £13 each. Service friendly and polite and the location stunning

Reasonably priced food and service. Outside seating available. Senior discounts on certain days. 👍 Annoyingly, there are always flies at the inside dining tables and nothing in control to minimise the persistance of them. Not surprising, given that it's at a harbour, however, very off-putting. 😏

We ordered drinks and a mixed platter for two. Amazing ! Lovely choice of cheese, breads , cold meats and pickles. Our server Una was superb! So friendly and accommodating. It was a busy night but a grt atmosphere. We are regulars and the staff are always amazing. Thankyou so much for another great experience.

Fantastic cocktails, well priced. Very friendly & chatty staff. Atmospheric decor which fit thr fact it's a basement venue, and loved the old pictures on the walls plus lighting! Would recommend and go back!

33 years since we were last in Under The Hammer. Place has changed and the crowd is older but still brilliant. Brought back lots of memories, if a bit hazy at times. Lovely staff. Great to be back.

They make you feel very welcome and nothing is ever a problem. Great wee business with home cooked meals!!
