Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is a laid-back seafront property offering comfortable rooms, many with direct beach access. It's an affordable all-inclusive option, starting at $635 per night for two people, covering meals and drinks at beachside restaurants and the pool bar. Military personnel staying four days or more receive a 30% discount. The resort boasts 100% à la carte dining, unlimited cocktails, beers, wines, and even a cocktail cruise for guests staying five days or more.
We loved Bolongo Bay Resort! Every staff member was welcoming and helpful! It being our first time on the island we had many questions and the staff was incredibly helpful and got many things set up for us! The rooms were clean all the common areas were clean! We also wanted to say we really enjoyed Tim’s Tours!!! Tim was super great at sharing history and information about the island on our day trips around! We’re already looking forward to going again in the future and highly recommend Bolongo Bay to anyone!!!

Bolongo bay may be the most caring resort I’ve ever stayed at. I got the all inclusive plan which comes with a cute gold wristband, as long as you have that on they’ll let you do anything you want (within reason). By the second day I was at the resort the bartenders and service staff had my name memorized. Bolongo was the perfect retreat for me, I came in and immediately felt at home as there are so many animals on the premises! In just 4 days I was able to see birds I’ve never seen before, a bunch of lizards and iguanas (some have names), and of course cute cats. Whether you’re looking for a family trip, a solo retreat, friendly bartenders, amazing rooms, or a wonderful beach front location - then you may be in luck if you can get a booking at Bolongo! A lively location even during their off season :)

We had the best stay here! Beautiful area. There is so much to do within the resort and out of it. The vibe is low-key and relaxing. The food was fantastic, we were so full the whole trip. The rooms are fine, we actually got the best sleep we ever had compared to other hotel beds. The concierge guy was so nice and fun to talk to. We will definitely be coming back.
Brittany W — Google review
I absolutely had the most amazing time! Super great food and drinks bartenders couldn’t ask for better ! The food we never went hungry and was every time cooked to perfection! I’ll be back and 007 had a smile on our faces and cold drink in our hands without asking ! It was my first trip and will definitely many more to come. Thank all you guys and lady’s for the hospitality and hard work put into our stay. Thank you all !!!!
Dusty W — Google review
We had a GREAT time. The service and food are top notch; we couldn't wait to taste what the chef cooked up every day. The resort is beautiful and somewhat tucked away giving you a cozy feel of a little private slice of heaven. Most everyone there is SUPER accommodating and the staff is genuinely interested in your enjoyment and comfort. I will say that the beds are a bit hard, the linens are rough on your skin (as well as the towels) and there were a bunch of flying biting insects in our room. Even with those small inconveniences WE HAD AN AMAZING time.
Sheron S — Google review
The resort has a cozy family vibe. The rooms are older but very clean. The food is outstanding and everyone is super friendly. It is in a great spot if you want to do some sight seeing. The best All Inclusive for the price. We will definitely be back.
Jackie D — Google review
I can’t rave about this place enough!! Amazing staff who really care about your stay, the owners are so sweet and I love that it’s family owned (shout out to David!!). The drinks and food were amazing too - as someone with pretty significant food restrictions I was able to eat almost everything on the menu because they were so willing to modify it all!! I came in with a lot of burnout and after a 5 day stay I felt so much better. Can’t rec highly enough. We will be back!!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Our stay at Bolongo Bay Beach Resort was nothing short of phenomenal. Rooms are outdated but who stays in their room during vacation. That did not hinder the experience. The level of customer service truly exceeded expectations from start to finish. Even though the beach was temporarily overrun with ocean grass and some excursions were canceled, the resort didn’t miss a beat. They went above and beyond by offering free transportation to neighboring beaches, ensuring we still had plenty of sun, sand, and fun. Special shout-outs are well deserved: • Nicole in the gift shop – thank you for your warmth and kindness. • 007 and Rocky at the bar – you two kept the good vibes flowing with your amazing drinks and energy. • Amanda and Kenisha in the restaurant – your service was exceptional, and every meal felt like a treat. To everyone at Bolongo Bay: thank you for making this vacation unforgettable. We’re already counting down the days until we return to St. Thomas in 2026! 🌴💙

Nestled in St. Thomas, Secret Harbour Beach Resort offers a laid-back atmosphere with its beachfront location and array of amenities. The resort boasts an outdoor pool, gym, and water sports for guests to enjoy. With two on-site restaurants including the Sunset Grille, dining options are plentiful. Formerly part of Wyndham, the independent Sugar Bay Resort and Spa overlooks St. John and the British Virgin Islands from its bluff location.
We stayed for 7 nights in a beachfront 2 bedroom unit. Accommodations were super comfortable and well-stocked with everything we needed. The beach is absolutely beautiful and the reef is stunning. We spent hours snorkeling each day; the bay is calm and snorkeling is good for beginners or those more experienced. There are plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas and shady spots under the beautiful trees. The patio bar makes a delicious BBC, and the food was wonderful. Everyone we encountered was friendly and very helpful. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. This was our second stay and we will be back.
Heather S — Google review
We ate lunch here and the food was amazing. Our waitress was great. The beachview on the patio was perfect and the menu offered lots of choices. The beach here was superb. The crowd had a nice share of families. The water was fairly clear and the beach was very clean. Chairs, umbrellas were all offered for a cost.
Sherika S — Google review
Great location, beach was great and house cleaning was fantastic. Lost all water pressure one night and ran out of hot water very fast every day. Room needed a new mattress. Restaurant was great.
Josh B — Google review
The views of the ocean and beach are absolutely stunning — definitely a highlight of the stay. The rooms are very nice and well-kept, making for a comfortable experience overall. The only downside was the service at the restaurant. While the food is great once it arrives, the wait time was over 45 minutes, which really took away from the experience. If they can improve the speed of service, this place would be nearly perfect.

Absolutely loved our stay at Secret Harbour. I was there with my husband but we are already talking about bringing the kids back in a few years. Rooms were spacious and clean with a full kitchen and private patio. The beach was amazing with ample chairs and hammocks. The water was calm and perfect for snorkeling. We frequently ate/drank at the Patio- the food ranged from mediocre to great but the drinks were consistently fantastic. I could not recommend this hotel more!
Liz S — Google review
Our trip to Secret Harbour was great! The snorkeling was very fun and convenient off right off the shore. The restaurants were delicious, and you can't beat the views! We did run into a few snags with our room though. The water pump went out and we were without water for a day, and when it was turned back on it was very brown and dirty, and we had an issue with our deadbolt on our door. It locked and would not open back up, we were stuck in our room overnight. I brought up our issues with on reservation supervisor, and she did everything in her power to help us out, and gave us some restaurant credit for our troubles. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the island. It is stunning and the location is very close to Red Hook, where there are shops and restaurants, along with the ferry rides to St. John!
Joe K — Google review
The beach/location is fantastic. It was not overly crowded. There’s also a decent restaurant steps away. Our room was dated and had several issues. The toilet didn’t work except for every third flush. Our tv didn’t work most of the time, which wouldn’t be a big deal if it wasn’t playoff basketball. We also didn’t have water for part of our stay because of a pipe that burst. The room was very clean though. And the staff attempted to address our issues. Overall the accommodations were mid, but the view and beach were fantastic.

Posting approximately a month after our stay to ensure the validity of our statements and to not be emotional yet factual. We got married at Secret Harbour 6/14/25 and had 32 guests fly in! 16 of our guests stayed at the resort alongside my new husband and I. In booking our wedding, we realize the hotel & our planners are two separate entities. However, we were informed that we would be given upgrades for the fact we were having our wedding there and the amount of people that stayed using our code. We are still trying to understand where our upgrades were. Out of all our friends/couples, we the bride and groom, had the smallest room given to us. There was absolutely no space to do hair & make up for my mom & I in our tiny room. We had to use a friends room that had prime location on the beach. Maybe the room that should have been given to the bride & groom? We don’t like to complain so we dealt with it. Thought maybe a bottle of champagne in our room or something on our wedding day… absolutely nothing. Except! The ceiling did start leaking on our wedding night. We informed the front desk and on our last full day they asked us if we wanted to pack up and move rooms for the last night before checking out in the morning. Appreciate the offer, however, spending our last full day after our wedding shuffling rooms was not ideal. We declined and had to walk around puddles in our room that was already small as is. Nishema was the only kind employee at the front desk. The older woman was very rude and blamed problems on us. Including a taxi driver that drove my solo sister to a dangerous location, she said my sister took the wrong taxi and yelled at me. However the driver said the location my sister was supposed to go to, therefore she took the correct taxi. In attempting to speak to her, as mentioned she simply yelled at me. Which was unacceptable. Nishema always had a smile on her face and was so helpful with any questions. We really appreciated her. The very first night, there were no working toilets on the property for approximately 6-7 hours. That was a little rough and unexpected. This could happen anywhere and does not reflect the rating, simply mentioning it. The beach hut was nice and the men that staffed that were kind & helpful. It was nice exchanging wet towels when needed and grabbing cold water bottles. Sunset grille saved the trip as the food was delicious. We enjoyed many of the appetizers at the patio, the pizza and salads were great. Again, we understand the wedding planners and resort are separate entities, however very displeased with the resort. We were emailed approximately a week after we left regarding the leaking ceiling and offered a free 2 night stay. That was nice but simply did not make up for our situation in which we brought 16 guests to the resort and had zero wedding upgrades provided. We LOVE the island and will be returning to celebrate future anniversaries, however, that will never be at Secret Harbour, which is a real shame and makes us very sad.

Emerald Beach Resort is a laid-back oceanfront property in St. Thomas, offering stunning views of the beach and the ocean. The resort features 90 rooms with modern amenities and all-inclusive packages that include water sports activities such as jet skis, snorkeling gear, paddle boats, and kayaks. Guests can enjoy Caribbean cuisine at the on-site restaurant and take advantage of special dine and play rates that include food and beverage credits.
This will be a go to of ours when we are in St Thomas on a cruise, if nothing else is planned. Great beach, great chair prices, great ber bucket prices and great service. I think Sammy was the man that helped with chairs and other info. He was friendly and hard working. Thanks.

Emerald Beach resort. It was a beautiful place. The only thing I did not like the restaurant does not take cash only credit card. The buyer takes cash. I had a lot of money to spend. I did not feel comfortable sitting at the bar eating. I wanted to sit at the restaurant. I would go back, but everything else was excellent. The service at the restaurant needs to be a little bit better. They ignored me. But I would it was that convenient location. The beach was right there, 75 feet away from the building. The water was beautiful bathwater

This is not the most modern hotel, but is budget friendly and clean. Our room was right on the beach, the beach is great with fantastic area to swim. Great drinks (Pain Killers) and local food. My wife and I thought this was the perfect location where the locals come at night and is less crowded atmosphere than other locations. We will stay here again on our next visit.
Joe E — Google review
Went for a quick weekend getaway and overall, Emerald was a decent choice. It’s a budget-friendly hotel right on the beach, though a bit dated. The lobby staff was friendly, and the restaurant offered solid food options. My only gripe was the automatic 20% gratuity, which was even added to takeout orders. The room itself was clean, with strong AC and reliable Wi-Fi, but the fixtures showed rust and the walls were very thin—you could hear just about everything from next door. I was hoping for a relaxing beach atmosphere, but the hotel played loud music all day, turning the vibe into more of a beach club (you could even hear it 200 yards out in the water). If you’re looking for affordable, convenient beach access close to the airport, this works. Just go in expecting more of a “Club Ramada” experience than a laid-back beach retreat.
Michelle — Google review
We actually did not stay there . We are at the sister property Lindbergh Bay which should be avoided at all costs. Our pool turned green so they were nice enough to let my son and I use their pool. Lisa at the front desk was very accommodating and nice and they made a very unpleasant stay at our “hotel” so much better. We can’t thank them enough. We really wish we had known before we booked but I guess live and learn the hard way.

The staff was very friendly and attentive at this resort. The amenities are outdated and worn out. Our room was okay, the door would constantly slide closed and the AC was weak. The location is right on the beach and close to the airport, so very convenient. The bar and restaurant were overpriced, but nice staff. Overall, the resort just needs some renovation. Staff and location were great!
Isabella C — Google review
This is a great place on St. Thomas, just outside the airport. Rooms are right on the beach, so sleeping to the gentle waves was awesome. (Note that very quiet a/c units contributed to that peace.) Food was great, drinks flowed easily and the views were perfect. There are plenty of toys to play with, including jet skis and a water playground for the kids. I was here in business, but the stay was vacation-like and very relaxing.

The Westin St. John Resort Villas is a beachfront property located on 47 acres along a beautiful white-sand beach. The resort offers one- to three-bedroom villas, with plans to convert hotel rooms into vacation villas. Guests can enjoy direct beach access, two restaurants, an outdoor pool, a spa, and sports courts. The well-maintained grounds are surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, providing a serene atmosphere for families or remote working groups.
Beautiful resort in St Johns. We loved our stay there. The beaches around the island are gorgeous. There are wild iguanas all around the resort. Grounds were kept clean and the pool was nice. Lots of amenities including pickleball, tennis, gym, and smoothies at the pool.
Bryn C — Google review
We arrived around 8 p.m. to a large property and were welcomed by a receptionist who was friendly and provided a clear explanation of the resort amenities. Our villa was spacious and clean, comfortably for four people. However, there was a noticeable, slightly odd smell when we entered, possibly from the washing machine or simply the age of the building.Parking was easy during our stay since there were few guests, but it could be challenging when the resort is busy. Because the property is so large, a car or golf cart service is essential for getting around. Our villa was conveniently located near a small pool, which we enjoyed. The kitchen was well equipped for anyone who wants to cook. Overall, it’s a roomy and well-equipped place for a relaxing stay, though the initial odor and potential parking issues are worth noting.
Hazel B — Google review
Beautiful resort with the pier attached. Highly recommend taking the Westin ferry. Can take back and forth as you wish during your stay. Service is 50/50…either amazing or super rude. Room was super nice but in need of an update. So much cool wildlife to see.
Jennifer M — Google review
St. John is 1 of the smaller virgin islands but so worth the visit. We are owners and this was our 1st visit here. Westin did not disappoint. From arrival to departure, I felt taken care of. The villa was amazing, comfortable, with stylish decor. The layout was a little off. Like you had to squeeze into spaces if you opened a door. Weird, but only a slight inconvenience. Shuttles are all across the property so you don't have to walk. Plus, you can call for 1 before you even leave your room or pick up a yellow phone to request 1. Everyone was nice. We were greeted on arrival to a nice rum punch cocktail. Non-alcoholic versions are available as well. Our luggage was delivered to our villa. We were checked in so quick. I've never gotten checked in without a "process" before. We asked for a resort tour around the property. It was nice.✅️ It may be cheaper to take the public ferry ⛴️ and all to the resort but I recommend going thru Westin. Iguanas 🦎 big and small love the island so brace yourself. 1 day, I even saw a stork. Gorgeous 😍 Deer are around too, but I'm used to them. 1 last tip. You have to take a taxi for almost any and everything because Cruz Bay is the closest town and not within walking distance. Probably not a safe walk either. The roads there are hilly, narrow, curvy, and I felt death was near every time 😂 Also, unless you are used to driving on the opposite side of the road, don't rent a car. Taxis are cheaper anyway. Or stay at the resort. You don't have to leave because they have everything. Unless you're a beach person. Taxis will take you. Westin has a wonderful pool but not a beach.
Van — Google review
Absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed at and it all started with the horrendous staff and the check in. If you thought any other “island time” folks were slowing and uncaring, look no further than the Westin on St. John’s. I haven’t even left the property but thank goodness I’m checking out asap. Check in: guaranteed by 4pm. Was after 530pm we could get in and it’s during their non-season. None of the front desk workers provided any reasonable updates or do anything. No effort no care on their part at all. Next, the rooms and kitchen space just have generally horrible design. The power goes out at least twice per day, causing the AC to reset so it jacks up to 75 degrees at night and you have to go turn it down in the middle of your sleep. That’s fun. The parking lot is far too small when every rented car is a Jeep with the turning radius of a rhino. Finally, the staff - specifically front desk and the men driving the golf carts, are the worst I have ever encountered. They only are there to get you in trouble, they let other Jeeps drive all over but god forbid you move the Jeep a few spots closer temporarily to pack on check out day they freak out and try to write you a ticket. The golf cart people never offer to move any of their luggage or help at all, they just patrol doing nothing. I’ll never in a million years stay here again. The place flat out sucks and if you want to “explore” St John’s just take a ferry for half a day from St. Thomas. I’ll never go back. Also almost all the food on the island sucks too.
Vince Z — Google review
We enjoyed our stay here overall. The rooms could use a bit of updating, but they were comfortable and worked well for us and it was quiet. The service was great for the most part, though we were disappointed that the concierge we were assigned wasn’t available to welcome us and never responded to our email about restaurant reservations we booked through him. However the first shuttle driver we had, Neil, was amazing and we loved the welcome drinks they provided after we got off the ferry. One downside was that the on-site restaurants closed pretty early, and because our room was a bit far from the main activity areas, we often had to rely on the shuttle. It would be nice if they had some late night options past 9pm. That said, taxis were easy to access, and despite a few inconveniences, we had a good stay and enjoyed our time here.
Lea W — Google review
The Website is very old and is NOT representative. This is NOT a high end place. Its a beat up 3 star TIME SHARE condo. TV didnt work for 3 days and nobody came to fix. Asked every day. The service is really bad. Almost NO transportation. Not happy staff. You wait forever. The place is beat up. Remote area. Have to cab it to everywhere. Nothing walkable. I'd return to St John as will my group but NEVER would we stay here again. Being fair its a 6. Staff agreed that "understaffed" and everyone complains so transportation.
Robert C — Google review
As a long time Marriott member this resort is a very big disappointment stay away! Just got here 1 day ago and can’t get out fast enough! Rooms are very small dated and dirty! The pool is green so much so the pool girl said she wouldn’t go in it! The overall cleanliness is terrible, outside furniture is old and worn, the grounds need repairs or ay the very least a good power washing. No sign of maintenance people anywhere! As soon as the Marriott customer service opens tomorrow I will be on the phone with them! I can’t say anything good about this place.

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas is a luxurious beachfront hotel currently undergoing a $100 million renovation after being closed due to hurricane damage in 2017. The property will reopen in December with refreshed rooms and suites, new dining venues, and the return of its private luxury catamaran, Lady Lynsey II. Guests are currently staying at The Ritz-Carlton Club next door and are eagerly anticipating the full reopening.
We stayed at the Ritz condos. So nice. The food was very good and the pools. We also went on the Yacht for a sunset cruise. Highly recommend. It was very quiet when we went and was not over crowded in October for fall break last year. The staff was helpful. There was a large settlement of seaweed there but that was not their fault. We went snorkeling At st John and Virgin Islands so it wasn’t a big deal. The iguanas were funny.

I must say the service here was great and the food was decent. The rooms were spacious and the property felt safe. For this price point... the team here HAS to step up the cleanliness. Nothing in the room "felt" clean as many others have stated. I had my own Clorox wipes and wiped down as much as I could but for the price point that is absolutely ridiculous. Due to the rooms/linen not being clean I would recommend staying elsewhere. Good place to relax and getaway, but they dont seem to have any events or fun things going on on-site. Also there's a kids pool and a splash pad but most of the kids end up in the other pool... Would not stay at this location again. Step it up guys.

Lovely hotel and property- the staff went above and beyond for us during our stay making sure our anniversary/ honeymoon was extra special and all our needs were met. We utilized the excursions arranged by the hotel through Cruz Bay water sports and had a phenomenal time. The club lounge was an excellent value add and is highly recommended, even at the premium. The concierge was very helpful with reservations and went above and beyond giving us suggestions about the area and getting us into local restaurants at the last minute. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Here.

Ok, the hotel does not live up to the Ritz Carlton standards. The facility was a little bit run down with cabinet doors made of composite wood were swollen at areas and peeling off. The bathtub in one of our 2 rooms had a very large crack. The bathroom sink caulking has mold (room 249 building F), the light feature fotlr make up was off, after complaint was replaced to break down again. The floors near the toilets were dirty, (stained). We saw 2 cockroaches ( I wont blame them for it, its the tropics after all). If you are hoing to book this hotel, I highly recommend a room with club access, this is like an all inclusive breakfast, lunch and dinner plus drinks and dessert all included while in the club. Not many restaurant options in the facility and their menus were limited. The service was exceptional. The club staff were amazing. Harrison was super friendly and certainly shows how much he loves his job. Overall a great experience, but not even near Ritz Carlton Level. The staff were very friendly with the room being refresed most night berofe going to bed.

This was our families first experience with the Ritz-Carlton. The staff was extremely kind majority of the visit and made our honeymoon pleasant. The resort itself is beautiful. It was unfortunate we came during major renovations. I do wish there were more amenities for the price we paid, but overall the experience was positive.

From the moment we showed up, we were greeted with a big smile And great vibes from Johnny Who handled our luggage and set us up with the front desk to get checked in. The Summerwind coffee shop Aaliyah and her team were fantastic. One of the best parts of my days was Aaliyah’s big smile every morning with a great cup of coffee and attitude. Our friends wedding at the Ritz was remarkable incredible setting wonderful food and service with an outstanding bartender and DJ. The pool and beach were fantastic and I would highly recommend the Ritz Carlton St. Thomas to any friends and family. This place is a Gem

Excellent Club Level stay at the Ritz St. Thomas. Staff went above and beyond to make sure our trip was memorable. Immaculate rooms and grounds. Special thanks to Ruth (club level), JJ (club level), Patrick (front desk), and Dwayne (management) for 5 star treatment. Last but not least, a very special 'thank you' to Harrison at the Club Level for making our trip super special. Other Ritz Carlton Club Levels should use Harrison as their gold standard for providing exceptional service and customer care. Thanks again.

We recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton in St Thomas and it was an absolute delight! We stayed 5 nights. All of the staff members were incredibly kind and helpful. There was always someone there to greet us no matter what part of the resort we were on and they were always willing to help! We had several lengthy conversations with the staff about places to try, history of the area, etc., by the time we left we felt like we knew many of them. Bruce and Prince were fabulous, always professional and also entertaining when dropping us off or picking us up from our building. Kimora checked us in and was so sweet and welcoming! Honestly every person we encountered was accommodating, happy and helpful. The staff checked all the boxes for our expectations!! The concierge was able to book us the sunset cruise and that was a fun experience! We had breakfast at Bleuwater (on property) every morning, it was always delicious (I wish I could remember the server’s name she was so sweet!)! The rooms were spacious, beautiful, classy and very comfortable. The main building and lobby is just stunning! So many details all over this resort make it just such a treat to be there. I read some of the negative reviews before we went and now having stayed there I just can’t understand where any complaints come from. We travel often and have stayed at many resorts. This place was a dream!!

Gallows Point Resort is a luxurious hotel located on a stunning five-acre peninsula that extends into the Caribbean Sea. The resort offers spacious one-bedroom suites with modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi, full kitchens, private balconies, and separate living areas. Guests can unwind by the outdoor pool or participate in yoga classes on the terrace. An outdoor barbecue area and an on-site restaurant are also available for guests' convenience.
Great resort, very friendly staff! I look forward to my next trip to StJohn and I will definitely be looking to stay at Gallows Point Resort. It was very clean and well kept. We enjoyed the proximity to downtown and the shuttle service. The staff is very accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend.

The location is great right on the water and close to downtown. The rooms are in a major need of upgrading. The water was not working this morning. Not good for the amount of $ they charge. The property is nicely manicured and you can swim right off the property. There is a constant stream of boating activity to watch also

This was our 2nd time staying at Gallows Point and it’s just as good as we remembered. The rooms are amazing, views are the best on the island, and you can walk to everything you need. Highly recommend and we’re already planning our 3rd stay.

One of our favorite places to stay!! Clean units, great amenities and fabulous customer service. Every room we have stayed in offers a great view. Love the store being on site for last minute groceries!! The offer a shuttle if you bring a lot of luggage and need help from the ferry. The location is absolutely perfect! This is our 5th year staying here and will be back again next year!!

Unfortunately I have to leave the following honest review of Gallows Point. We booked Gallows point resort for 5 Days in August. We were excited to stay here after reading a lot of the other reviews. Upon checking in at 3 pm (check in time) we were told that our room was not ready yet due to som issues with the bathroom. We waited for an hour in the lobby in the sweltering heat until we were moved to a different room because the issue was still going on. Upon checking into the new room (4B) the smell of chemicals and cleaner was so strong we had to open all windows and leave the room for 3 hours while it aired out. The smell made both my wife and I ill. We waited by the pool for 2 hours, then went back to the room to try to get ready for our 630 dinner reservation at 1864 (which was absolutely amazing!) When we arrived back to the room it still smelled so we had to then shower and get ready in a room where the temperature was now over 90 degrees due to us having to have the windows open to air it out. The rooms are ok, the furniture def needs an upgrade in the living room but that wasn’t an issue, we could live with that. I will say the ONE positive thing was that when we got back from dinner and were able to shut the windows and turn on the AC, the AC was the best AC we experienced on our 14 day trip. Here’s where the nightmare really begins. We arrive home from dinner and rinse off and get ready to go to bed. Upon laying down on the mattress, we both knew were were in for a long night. The mattress was the worst mattress I’ve ever slept on and has to be at least 20 years old. It was awful. There was also an extremely bright light outside (resort light) that we had no way to block out or turn off. (Imagine trying to sleep in a tanning bed with the lights on and on your Grandmothers mattress). So my wife tossed and turned for a couple hours. You would think it couldn’t get any worse right? WRONG! Around 2am a loud beeping noise starts outside of our room and continues until 7am where we found out that this was due to something wrong with the sewer. This was the absolute worst night of sleep I have ever attempted, worse then sleeping on the floor of an airport overnight, worse then camping in sub zero weather, pure torture. At 7am we exit our room to see the workers. They apologized for the intrusion and began working on the sewer equipment to clear some sort of clog that the alarm was notifying them off. I carried all our our luggage to the front desk, explained that we would be checking out and moving to a new hotel due to the torturous night we experienced here. The lady at the front desk was very apologetic and nice and we were on our way. One week later I checked the hotel bill and noticed we did not receive any type of refund for the remaining nights that we did not stay there. I contacted the front office thinking this must be some kind of oversight. I figured it would be worked out easily and we could move on. WRONG. Apparently it states “ No refunds for early departures will be issued.” listed in the cancelation policy. So I’m being charged $2000,00 because I refused to endure 4 more continued nights of torture at their resort. This place is an absolute scam, DO NOT STAY here. In the end, even if they would have told me upon checking out that I wasn’t going to get my money back, I still would have left and made the same decision I did because no one should have to endure the type of torture you will endure if you choose to try to get some rest at this resort. I’ll be contacting my credit card company and reporting this scam. What a wonderful way to spend our anniversary. Do check out the wharfside village. It’s a lovely hotel

First off, I am normally someone who never writes reviews. Secondly, I am someone who never vacations in the same place twice, but Gallows Point Resort may have just changed my mind! The island is beautiful and relaxed, and Gallows Point Resort reflects that. From the moment we got there, hospitality was unmatched. Everyone was kind, friendly, and accommodating, picking us and our luggage up from the dock. The property is well-maintained, clean, quiet, and peaceful. The pool area is just what I needed- clean and spacious, with enough shade from the umbrellas, with many adjacent poolside chairs and a hot tub. Not to mention, the resort is directly on the water, so alongside the pool and lower deck/platform area is its own "pier" with snorkeling opportunities from the hotel itself! The location of the resort was also great- we were able to walk easily to nearby restaurants and shops without an issue, didn't rent a car at all. For the times where we wanted to go further inland, the resort was able to help us call reputable taxis, so we never worried about our safety. Our first night there, we ate at their on-site restaurant Ocean 362, with a beautiful sunset view. I'm from NYC (so I never have high expectations of any food while vacationing), but their rack of lamb is one of the best tasting meals I've ever had. THIS is your sign to book Gallows Point Resort! And if you need more convincing, here is a picture of our view from the balcony!!

Lovango Resort + Beach Club is a luxurious retreat located on its own private Caribbean island, Lovango Cay. Just a short 10-minute boat ride from St. John and St. Thomas, this resort offers a serene escape with stunning views and top-notch service. The property spans 44 acres and features eco-friendly accommodations including guest homes and a beach club with a private luxury villa. Guests can look forward to an upcoming restaurant in Phase III as well as exceptional dining options already available on the island.
This was the trip of a lifetime. A beautiful, quiet, private island between St John and St Thomas. It is a remote feel with lush vegetation, lots of birds and lots of other wildlife, even some goats. The food is amazing (much of the fruit grown fresh on the island). The views in the villas are stunning, overlooking the beautiful blue water from probably 150 feet up on the hill. We enjoyed lots of walks and hikes around the island each morning. And the snorkeling is amazing all around St John, but one of the best spots is right off the dock from this island. Last but not least, the quality of the service is second to none. Everyone we engaged with were friendly, accommodating and genuine. They seem to truly love the work they do and it shows. Hospitality is an art and this place has mastered it. It's a very unique place because you get to know the staff by the end of your trip. Our bellhops (Clarke, Lauren and Mario) were all terrific (they take you to and from your rooms in gators up on the hill; you can walk as well). Eric, Tammy, Rob, Parker and everyone else all went above and beyond to make our stay a truly wonderful experience. We hope to visit again sometime.

Lovango Resort & Beach Club isn’t just a destination—it’s a private island sanctuary that perfectly balances rustic luxury with Caribbean charm. The staff exceeded every expectation with their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for creating memorable experiences. From the moment you’re greeted with welcome rum punch to the attentive service throughout your stay, the team makes you feel like family. The owners’ personal touch is evident everywhere, creating an atmosphere that’s both luxurious and authentically welcoming. Take the hike to the beach. Every step down that trail is worth it for the payoff: crystal-clear water so perfect it looks fake, coral gardens that put aquariums to shame, and a beach so secluded you’ll forget other humans exist. Pro tip: if hiking isn’t your jam, the resort shuttle will happily deliver you to paradise – no judgment, just pure genius. Either way, you end up at what might be the Caribbean’s best-kept secret.

We booked a cabana at the Lovango Beach Club and I don’t think it’s possible to have had a better Father’s Day celebration. From the second we arrived on the dock, we were treated with such warm and bespoke hospitality. Originally our booking was for a ‘Beach Cabana’ but were lucky enough to be upgraded to a ‘Poolside Cabana’ with the resort being a little slower that day (both were awesome setups and highly recommended for groups). We have traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and the food, drink, and service were top tier all the way around. Huge shout outs to Zach, the front of house manager, Jameson and Lizzie in service, and Jake in food & beverage. Thank you all for making us feel like royalty all day and being so awesome to our 4 year old (he misses you guys already). We are so happy and grateful that we got to enjoy the day with you guys! If you have read this far, please treat yourself to a stay or visit to this one of a kind resort! Very highly recommended! Thank you for everything!

What an absolutely MAGICAL evening. Took the Lovango ferry out St Thomas for a short ride to the island just for dinner. We were one of 10 guests there as the season is coming to an end. We were treated like royalty by everyone we came into contact with. We came for dinner and were concerned that we would be ready to go back before the ferry was ready to take us. Dinner was 5 to 8 PM. We ended with about an hour to spare, but there were so many beautiful spots to explore and yard games, such as life-size chess, cornhole, tic-tac-toe, among others. My husband and I enjoyed after dinner drinks while our two kids let off some wiggles. The food was phenomenal. We ordered the tuna and the filet mignon. They had a great children's menu as well. The artisan breads were yummy and the homemade ice cream for dessert finished off a beautiful evening. After dinner, we got cozy on some bean bags near the beach area and just couldn't get over how beautiful the surroundings were. It's perfectly lit at night, music is just the right vibe and volume, the breeze is heavenly, and you can hear the waves gently lapping the shores. It was definitely the highlight to our 10 day trip here. It IS pricey. It's MORE than worth it. Just go!

Lovango Resort is exquisite!! Our entire Christmas week Trip in St. John was by far one our favorite trips we have taken as a family. The friendliness and hospitality were remarkable! We did not stay at Lovango, however we had dinner there on Christmas Eve and experienced the finest customer service and a luxury tasteful gourmet dinner. Our waiter was outstanding! We were greeted immediately after getting off of the ferry. We were provided a short golf cart tour of the property and invited to walk around to take in the beauty of the pool, beach and restaurant area. The staff at Lovango went far and above with customer service because we realized after our return to St. John that my husband had dropped/lost the key fob to our rental car. We called them and they immediately looked around with no luck initially, however the next day they did find the key and contacted us and made arrangements to bring it to us. They went above & beyond to help us and we can't thank them enough! We WILL RETURN and next time my husband and I will plan to stay at the resort as well!! Thank you to all of the kind Lovango staff!! You made our Christmas 2024 perfect!!

Marriott's Frenchman's Cove is an upscale beachfront resort with a poolside restaurant/bar, infinity pool, and gym. The resort offers 221 rooms and villas, making it perfect for family vacations and group getaways. Guests can enjoy activities such as snorkel tours, night kayaking, and sunset cruises arranged by the on-site tour desk. The property features a beautiful beach that is not easily accessible to non-guests due to its location within the Marriott Hotel.
Only 15-20 min drive from the airport, it is easy to get to and you go by the main city center Charlotte Amalie. Be prepared to drive on the left side of the road, but drivers side in the car is on the left like the U.S. Beautiful views from the rooms here with a nice pool area. Beach is smaller but very nice and you can snorkel off the beach. It is on a hillside so a lot of elevator access getting up and down the resort. Convenient location to get to the Red Hook area where you pick up the ferries to go to St. Johns. Highly recommend hitting some of the incredible beaches over there!

Very quiet, secluded beach, convenient to several places. Not the fault of the resort but taxi fares on the island are not good, it would be worth doing a cost/benefit for a rental. Resort has nice parking as well.

The perfect place for a holiday. The property is well laid out, the welcome very friendly and the service impressive. The hotel has its own private beach and swimming pool to help you relax and unwind. The bakery and the restaurant on the property is good enough to take care of your food and drinking needs. It is better to rent a car to go around the island and also to visit the market places and restaurants. Simply in love with this Marriott property.

Great condos..... but expect to take a water or land taxi everywhere. The proprety outside of the resort is not walkable. We loved XCEL LIMO service owned by Nancy McBean. Another great week..... very happy with Marriott Vacation Club.... we have had great experiences over all.

We stayed at this hotel 7/5/25-7/8/25. We had the best experience. The staff is very accommodating, very helpful, and everyone was so nice. This was our first trip to St. Thomas and the staff made our stay so much easier. It definitely will not be our last time to visit. The room was spacious and clean. On the day the room was cleaned everything was restocked from the washing powder to the beach towels. The pool area is beautiful, with direct beach access. There is only one restaurant on the grounds, but the food was good. (We ate there three times). You can take the complementary shuttle between the other two sister hotels next door and patronize the other restaurants. Thank you Marriott staff for helping to make our stay memorable. Special thanks to the concierge service, and Mr. Marvin.

The resort is beautiful. Couldn't ask for better views. Infinity edge pool over looking the ocean was a highlight, the beach was wonderful and watching cruise ships come into Port was great. Onsite restaurant was a total let down. Good was consistently way over cooked and there were limited options. If you have resort credit to burn be careful, we felt handcuffed because of the amount of resort credit we had. Can only use it at the restaurant and the on-site market. Just got illustration purposes, 1 packet of crystal light mix for a 16 oz water is $3. That's 1 packet. Just keep your eyes open when shopping. Other than that, the resort is awesome. We really enjoyed our stay and the views.

Point Pleasant Resort is a stunning vacation destination located on the East End of Saint Thomas VI. The resort offers breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea, local islands, and beautiful beaches. Guests can enjoy the wrap-around balcony that provides 180-degree views and cool Caribbean breezes. The resort features hilltop suites with eagle's-eye views, as well as sea-level junior suites with soothing sounds of lapping waves.
The resort is very beautiful and has many nice rooms. The one thing to know is that the rooms are privately owned and the properties are managed by the resort. With this being said, make sure to look into which room you are booking as some are better taken care of than others as it is the private owners responsibility for the upkeep of the rooms (repairs, refurbishment, upgrades, etc.) not the resort itself. The resort manages the overall property as well as the cleaning of the rooms. The resort has 24/7 security and a great staff! They allowed us to check in a few hours early and made sure to help with finding the room and getting our luggage in. The bellman, Norman, is an awesome guy and was so welcoming! He recommended several spots to us, took us up to our room and even gave us a ride up to the door in his own vehicle(some of the roads are tight so he had us park our rental in the nearby parking area) and brought our luggage in for us! This place is a great price for everything that you get, especially compared to other nearby locations. Room service is on an as requested basis, and you just have to go to the main office for fresh towels and linens or call, and they will bring them to your room. The property has great views but is very vertical as it is on a hill (which is why you have such great views), which means there are a lot of steps if you want to walk down to the bar and grill or the small private beach and back if you have a hilltop villa. As long as you are in decent shape, you will be fine. Also, there are several parking areas so you can drive down to a lower parking area and have a much shorter walk. Overall, my wife and I could not be happier with the suite and the experience with the resort staff. As long as you research and choose a well maintained/upgraded room and are willing to do a little up and down walking(or driving), you will have an awesome experience!

The location and views are excellent. The one-bedroom units are approximately 500 square feet and include a large terrace. The property is conveniently located near most beaches; Lindquist Beach is about a four-minute drive away with 7 dollars entrance fee for adults and 2 dollars parking, Coki beach is walkable but better if you drive and pay 5 dollars parking. Rooms are not cleaned daily but can be serviced upon request. The unit was equipped with everything necessary, although the kitchen and utensils were somewhat outdated. Service is minimal, limited mainly to a staff member who opens the gate for guests.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week. Our experience was outstanding. The service here is top notch, from the front desk to the security team and shuttle drivers, but especially the staff at the two restaurants on the property. Our condo was clean and updated. I especially enjoyed some of the cats on the property, Ferdinand was the light of our trip. We will be back.

We stayed in B7 and it was beautiful. You can’t beat waking up to that view every day. Rooms were very clean and well kept. I do wish they had some lounge chairs on the deck - or at least another Adirondack chair so 2 can sit together. The man made beach is a bit rocky and very small, but Coki beach is walking distance and that was amazing! We loved the food and service at Sun & Sea bar as well (so much better than Margaritaville next door). Overall a fabulous first experience in St. Thomas!
Kelly R — Google review
My friend and I stayed here for 6 days and we loved it! They have 3 pools around the resort and 2 places to eat. It’s located in a bay/cove so the views were great. The hotel staff were so kind and friendly. Shoutout to Norman, who shuttled us from our room to the lobby multiple times, as the resort is hilly. He is a great man and it was a pleasure to meet him and get to know him. The staff delivered toiletries, towels, and sheets to the room as needed when you called and requested it. They even give you a list of taxi companies to call when you want to leave the resort and go to beaches/restaurants/shopping/etc. The taxis are cash only so definitely bring a lot of cash. Overall we would recommend this resort to a friend/family who wants to vacation to st Thomas. The resort was clean as well. They did not have a beach on the property, but a local beach called Coki beach is a 5-10min walk away. It was a great week staying at point pleasant resort, and will definitely miss it!!

Point Pleasant is a great place to stay in St Thomas! The villas have a beautiful view and are very clean. The staff there is also very nice! The location was also amazing. You are about 7 mins away from redhook which is where a lot of excursions and restaurants are. Even if you don’t want to venture out, the resort has some pretty nice restaurants and 3 pools. Margaritaville is a short walk away if you want to go somewhere else and don’t want to drive. Coki beach is also walking distance. Overall, would definitely recommend staying here!

Sapphire Beach Condominium Resort is an old-school resort located on the half-mile white sands of Sapphire Beach in St. Thomas. It offers individually-owned condos with various amenities, making it a great option for a family vacation. The resort provides everything needed for an exclusive and all-inclusive experience, including a yacht harbor, beach activities like kayaking and snorkeling, as well as motorized water sports such as parasailing and jet skiing.
My one-night stay at Sapphire Beach Condominium Resort was absolutely incredible! Booked through Airbnb, this place exceeded all expectations. The condo was spotless, modern, and had breathtaking marina / ocean views right from the balcony—perfect for catching the sunrise. The location is unbeatable, just steps from the pristine Sapphire Beach, with soft sand and crystal-clear waters ideal for a quick dip or snorkeling. The resort amenities, like the pool and nearby restaurants, shopping, etc in red hook added nice convenience and charm. The check-in process was seamless, and the host was super responsive, making my short stay stress-free and relaxing. I can’t wait to return for a longer visit—this place is a true Caribbean gem!

Im being kind, the condo is a bit tired. The beach is nice, the rest of the grounds, not nice at all. We are 3 buildings away from the food/bar approximately 900 feet. There has been live music twice so far, it's so loud I can feel the bass running through me. It's not like they're catering to the 20 something crowed, most of the guests are late 40's to 60's. The food is okay, similar to many of the restaurants here, nothing to brag about. We've been to St. Thomas several times, will definitely go back to Secret Harbour next time.
Mike P — Google review
The rooms are clean but in serious need of remodeling. The beach is fantastic with 3 small places to get food and drinks and 1 very overpriced dinner restaurant. We had rust around plumbing and cracks in walls and ceilings so don't expect much from the rooms. The staff is super friendly, maids come every other day, snorkel equipment and beach towels provided at the office. Also a laundry room is on site. We loved the pool, snorkeling in Sapphire Beach, watching the iguanas and just chilling on our balcony. I am only giving it a 3 because of the rooms.
Jean S — Google review
Sapphire Beach Resort really has it all!! From breakfast and coffee, to drinks and lunch/casual dinner, to upscale dining, everything is at your fingertips. We especially enjoyed all the iguanas, small lizards, cats, and chickens that roam about. Being able to walk out our patio right onto the beach was the highlight of the trip! Building A is perfectly situated near everything, and allowed us to easily come and go from our unit when we needed to grab some water, a snack, use the restroom, or take a break on our patio. Do note that each unit is individually owned, and some are much better than others! We rented units in Building D and C that we left immediately due to mold and terrible musty/mildew smells. Some of the property does have some wear and tear, but overall we were very happy with our stay (after the first two units) and hope to come back.

One of the few condo style resorts with an amazing sand beach and great snorkeling right off the beach. Several beach bar style restaurants on the premises with absolutely amazing food. I have to say the food has been far beyond expectations. We have had some of the best meals here.
Roger K — Google review
The resort is old and tired. The front security was nice and the resort feels safe. The high end restaurant and the bar restaurant are both decent food wise. Service at the bar is not friendly but efficient. Speaking of the rooms, A203 was pretty run down and shabby but it was mostly clean. You can see fireworks over in St John on the 4rh of July from the deck. The pool itself is decent although a little cold and close to the sargassum that accumulates by the marina so a little stinky. The area has a lot of potential because there’s a big shade area and an old bar but it’s run down and dilapidated and no longer functioning. The Marina area has a laundry room and the washers and dryers were in working order. Staff at the marina was nice. The grounds are just plain shabby. No other way to put it. I bet this was a nice place in the heyday but those days are long gone.

Second time staying here. This time for a month. Very close to everything you need and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. One tip, in the Virgin Islands it is customary to great everyone with a pleasantry. Good morning, good afternoon, how are you doing, etc. will go a long way towards making you stay more enjoyable.

Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort is a bayside lodging with an intimate vibe despite its size, offering 4 restaurants, 4 bars, and great ocean views. It provides an all-inclusive package option including meals, drinks (with exceptions), and fitness centers. The resort offers unusual night kayaking expeditions for an extra fee. With over 10 years of experience, it provides five-star service and amenities in its well-furnished suites with French Caribbean inspired interiors.
Stayed May 5 through May 9, 2017. Room clean, king size bed comfortable. Staff friendly, professional and courteous. Breakfast Buffett in Aqua Terra fantastic! Food delicious at all restaurants! Bartenders friendly suggesting great frozen drinks. Beach clean with chairs umbrellas snorkel gear and kick boards plentiful and complimentary. Concierge desk with plenty of activities and tours. 2 hour Scenic tour was great with friendly and knowledgeable driver. Dinner on The Cat was lots of fun with great food and attentive and professional staff. The only negative thing I found was our room did not get cleaned until around 4 pm each day. Most times we would just ask for clean towels and bottled water. The Frenchman's Reef Marriott certainly met our expectation! Would definitely return!!!

We have been owners here for more than 10yrs, still a good resort however the quality of service has declined in recent years. If you contact the management they will work to make it right, however the cleanliness of the rooms and linens should be better. The sheets/towels smelled as though they had been left wet when folded, very musty...this happened 3 times on our recent trip. We stayed for 12 days, leaving on Aug 3, 2018. Still can’t beat the views of the bay though.

Location great, beach views amazing and pools were nice! Customer service was on point and always so friendly! My sister in law was married at the outdoor wedding gazebo which was beautiful but with no shade at all and all the guests got sunburned. The reception was a roof top one that also provided no shade for the guests either. Guests were drenched in sweat. So happy they were all patient! Other than that we'd definitely come back!

Currently staying here and I wouldn't come back. In fact I tried to leave early but airline fees where too much. First staff is not very friendly, this is the first time I have run across this in an island that depends on tourism. Rooms are not very clean and beds are even made incorrectly, sloppy and messy. Food is outrageously expensive and not very good, plan to spend 200-300 a day far a family of two adults and two children. The only positive is the views are amazing and I enjoyed the ocean, Internet also worked very well. I believe there are a lot more places you can get a better bang for your buck. 7/26- I increased my rating from two to three stars because the pools, ocean, and views are just great. If food and staff where better I would rate it 4.5/5.

I stayed at Frenchman's Reef for five days and was pleased with everything from my arrival to my departure. Complementary rum punch was provided in n the lobby during check in. My room was clean and comfortable. The a.c. was out when I arrived however, a message was waiting on the phone with that information and another message was left as soon as the repair was made. I received customer service with a smile but I believe you get what you give. The night kayak was fun right from the hotel and a private island tour with a taxi driver was only $50. I can't think if one negative experience during my stay and I would definitely return in the future.

Very nice beach but lots of seaweed. Property was well maintained and clean but is in serious need of an update/remodel. Pools were full of little kids so if you are looking for a quiet adult vacation this is not the place. There is a small adult only pool. The main 2 pools were closed for a private function where we were kicked out mid afternoon one day...not very good hospitality and a disappointing experience. We sure weren't going to let that ruin our beautiful vacation. The staff is very friendly and warm, especially Yolanda in the Rum Bar!!!

Very nice accommodations. Comfy bed, clean room. About 10 minute drive to downtown (if there's not bad traffic). Very helpful and friendly staff. Had to go to the front desk 2 days in a row because of unauthorized $117 charges (both days) on my card. But staff was awesome. They addressed the issue and the money was returned to my account the next day.

My family has their wedding here and it's a beautiful resort but far from my expectations. First we get there and can't check in until 4. Okay that's fine but I get to the room and it's dirty. Like a guest had just checked out. Also it was a single bed when I booked double beds. They then apologized and have me another room but was unable to honor the double bed until the next day. I was okay with that until I get to the room and it smells like sewage. The hotel still couldn't change my room until the next day. So i had no choice but to stay in the smelly single bed room. They did change the room as promised however I didn't get the right room until after 4 the next day. I chose to make the best of the trip. We were out and came back hungry. There was no way to get anything to eat. Now I have been to all inclusive resorts and there was always some way to eat. No we had to wait until morning because we was told that the restaurant closed at 11. This was not an pleasant experience for my first time in St. Thomas. Signed Super Disappointed

Nestled in the northwest half of Virgin Gorda, Bitter End Yacht Club offers warm and upscale accommodations with stunning views of the British Virgin Islands and the Atlantic Ocean. The resort is known for its open-air dining options, pool, and a variety of water sports activities. Visitors can explore the famous 'baths,' a unique natural formation of smooth boulders creating seawater pools and tunnels on the southwestern tip of the island.
Staying on a sailing yacht in the harbor but came ashore yesterday. Beautiful!! Our 1st time here since everything was rebuilt after the hurricanes. Stunning. Every staff member we interacted with was very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed a brief stop at BEYC on a recent BVI sailing trip. We only went to the bar and the boutique, so this review is limited to those parts of the club. Both were very nice. The boutique had a nice selection of high-quality items, including club apparel. The bar was very nice, great workmanship there. We were not here pre-storm, but can say now it’s pretty terrific. Nice place to stop for a cocktail! Service was good, views were better! LOL

Beautiful location. Everything looks amazing, clean and comfortable. Telo at the main bar with seating to have lunch or dinner is AMAZING!! Not only does she make great drinks but also cured me of hiccups I had for 2 days ruining my vacation with her home remedy. She made my last day at bitter end great.

This place is a must stop if you are renting a sailboat in the BVIs. I loved the caretakers. They went through a great deal as a result of the hurricane Irma and came out of it stronger, more resilient and beautiful. Please acknowledge that this place was completely rebuilt after that. It's all brand new now, but the residents went through a lot of hardship in the process of rebuilding, many losing their homes. I talked to one caretaker whose roof was ripped off of her house right in front of her. This place has beautiful people who provide the most excellent hospitality. Friendly people sharing great food and creating a wonderful experiences for every visitor

I've made several trips to the BVI over the last 28 years - Bitter End and the North Sound have always been a destination not to miss. This trip we stayed at Bitter End 2.0 and had a most lovely week. The Marina Lofts are a great new addition and gave our family of 3 just the right amount of space, immediate access to water and sun. The entire BEYC crew is fantastic, attentive, cheerful and responsive. The restaurants offer a good variety of well-cooked and pleasantly delivered options. The rooms were expertly taken care of with twice daily service. The water sports crew was helpful and confidence inspiring for those taking on new challenges. The helpful front desk staff ensures that all of the details are taken care of and made our ventures around and out of North Sound seamless. You won't regret staying with the BEYC or coming ashore for provisions (new provision shop is really fantastic and holds a lot of variety for its space). There were many charming things to enjoy at the old BEYC, but BEYC 2.0 is resetting the course for an updated sailing and luxury vacation world. BEYC's staff will greet you with a smile and aims to ensure you have the most pleasant of experiences. Thank you BEYC!!

We wanted to visit since it had been completely rebuilt post-hurricanes. We stayed on a mooring ball for two nights here. We did not dine here but enjoyed an array of water sports including sailing Hobies, e-foil and Seabobs. The staff was great. We also visited the boutique and market. I think the vibe is very similar to the old BEYC.

We moored on a buoy at the yacht club and enjoyed the excellent facilities. Bitter End was destroyed when hurricane Urma visited but the whole area has been rebuilt to a very high standard with professional, well trained staff at restaurants, bars and shops.

Carambola Beach Resort in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands is a luxurious property with well-appointed suites, a private beach, and an outdoor pool. The resort's proximity to iconic attractions like Annaly Beach and Carambola Tide Pools makes it an ideal tropical getaway. Families can take advantage of the kids' club and enjoy activities such as sandcastle contests and dive-in movies.
We were there 9/18/25 - 9/22/25 and it was perfect. Food was really good and the prices were perfect. The staff were so friendly and gave us ideas of things we should see and do. The property was beautiful and clean and we loved the beach and waves. The pool is big and kept clean. Going during their slow season was just what we needed as it wasn't busy and it sometimes felt like we were the only ones there. I'm sure we will be back one day. Thank you to all of the staff for a wonderful vacation.

Recently, I traveled with my Family to the Virgin Islands and decided to give this resort a try. I read reviews and saw that there were good and bad, just as there are anywhere else. Upon arrival, it lived up to the expectations of a gorgeous view, absolutely breathtaking. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect, although it wasn't ready upon arrival and even after the check in time. Which was fine, things happen. After check in, we were told that there was a golf cart that acts as a shuttle to the rooms and to assist with luggage. That was very much not the case. I never received any assistance, nor did we ever get asked of we wanted a ride. Throughout our stay, the shuttle would just drive right past us, never offering service. As far as the upkeep of the room, there's where it leaves a lot to be desired. We were never supplied with the correct number of towels for the number of people in the room, despite several requests during our stay. One time we never even received towels. Throughout the whole stay, which was a week, the room was only swept once. That was only because when we requested towels the supervisor had offered because we mentioned it hadn't been done yet. The only focus seemed to be the trash, nothing else was ever cleaned. The linens were never exchanged, which was a bit irritating because despite our best efforts, sand still ended up in the bed. As far as other amenities are concerned, all the rooms should have some some type of kitchenette. Given the location of this resort, it is quite the drive to seek options for dining, and that is you rented a vehicle. Otherwise, the cost of a taxi is tremendously expensive. The restaurant on site, has plenty of options, but for an extended stay, I believe there needs to be other options available to the guests. This Marriott location could be one of the most absolute best places on the island, along with being one of the most beautiful places hands down. I believe they are just a few tweaks away.

We had such a relaxing experience at Carambola Resort. The staff, without exception, were all most friendly and accommodating. Our room was amazing. The view and sound of waves daily near our room were incredible. So very serene. The room was clean and inviting and a delightful place to be. We so enjoyed the outside patio area with cushioned benches to recline and enjoy the seawaves, beach and scenery. We dined at both the Bar and Grill and Saman restaurants on the premises. Both were perfect in service, friendliness and well prepared, delicious food. This is a resort to come back to! We truly enjoyed our experience there.

I recently stayed at the Carambola Beach Resort on St. Croix and, while the location is undeniably stunning, my overall experience was disappointing. The beautiful view and proximity to the water are highlights, but they don't make up for the issues I encountered. The resort's staff, particularly those at the front desk, were consistently unwelcoming and seemed disengaged throughout my entire stay. The only exceptions were the friendly breakfast attendant and the bar staff, who were both very pleasant. The rooms themselves felt outdated, and they lacked basic amenities. My coffee maker didn't work, and a microwave was missing. Housekeeping service was minimal; they only made the beds but never fully cleaned the room or replaced the towels. The breakfast was a letdown, especially for the high price of $32 per person. The food quality was mediocre at best and certainly not worth the cost. Beyond the pool and the beach, there was no on-site entertainment or activities offered, making for a very limited and quiet stay. In summary, while the resort has a great location, it falls short on hospitality, room quality, and value for money.

Plan on spending 80 bucks a day on a taxi that’s round trip to the boardwalk In town 30 minutes away. This place is in dire need of rehabilitation and decent food . Beach has seaweed and lots of rocks. Sidewalks are never swept gutters falling off or over filled with debris . Buildings are not maintained. Property itself has not been maintained at all. Could be a nice property but I would not recommend it. Breakfast buffet was awful down right gross and it’s 35 a person! My experience on the island and this hotel have not been a good one. I won’t be coming back

A very nice resort. It is remote meaning if you don't have a car you're gonna be stuck there or needing Taxis. The closest town is about 6 miles south (has a grocery store called, "The Market."). For some reason there was no commissary/snack area other than a cooler with bottled water in the lobby. But we enjoyed our stay. A good bar too!

One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited! The views from the rooms are breathtaking! The food/drinks were delicious! Over ten days, I tried many things - loved them all! The staff were super kind and helpful - bartending staff were fun! The events and music on the patio were a great time. The hiking was gorgeous! The pool and beach were lovely. I became scuba certified at Sweet Bottom while I was there, and it was such a wonderful experience! Nothing but amazing things to say about this resort. The drive to Frederiksted was a little scary for this mainland driver, but you figure it out. The history and charm of the little seaside town was lovely!

Spent two nights at Carambola beach resort. Online the place looked amazing. In person it wasn’t what I expected. Found a gigantic cockroach in my room, the batheoom light didnt work either. Power was constantly going on & off. My biggest issue was that the wifi was out and I couldn’t get any of my work done. They don’t provide water for the guests and they charge $3 for a bottled water. I know i’ll never stay there again. Go to The Buccaneer!

Beautiful place! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality of the staff made us feel at home. The location is simply spectacular: a beach with crystal-clear waters and soft sand that looks like something out of a postcard. The hotel’s facilities are impeccable, with comfortable and well-decorated rooms offering breathtaking ocean views. Every detail is carefully thought out to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The cuisine is another highlight: the restaurants offer a variety of exquisite dishes made with fresh, local ingredients. Plus, the service is top-notch—always attentive and friendly. The available activities, from water sports to spa sessions, make the stay even more special. Without a doubt, this is a destination we will return to again and again.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay is truly a five-star gem. The property is absolutely stunning, with exceptional staff and great food. We’ve stayed at many high end resorts, including Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, and Aman — but this experience surpassed them all. It combines the best elements of each into one unforgettable destination. We’ve already rebooked for our next visit, which speaks volumes. If I had to offer one small critique, it would be that the beach service could occasionally be a bit slow — but that’s a minor detail in an otherwise magical stay. A special thank you to our butler, Mikel, who went above and beyond every single day.

I stayed at this hotel in August and my experience was truly outstanding. The restaurant service was incredible, with every detail taken care of perfectly. The drinks were spectacular—beautifully crafted and full of flavor. What made the stay even more memorable was the exceptional attention from the director, Max. His professionalism, kindness, and personal touch made us feel truly valued as guests. Highly recommend this hotel!

You won’t be disappointed by your stay here. Perfect way to unplug and relax. Lots of fun or relaxing ways to enjoy your stay. It was a really wonderful place to experience the BVI. Definitely the perfect place for a vacation! I went in August with my husband and daughters, and we left completely delighted. It’s such a cozy and comfortable spot to enjoy as a family, and my daughters absolutely loved the food (which says a lot since they’re picky eaters!). I’d love to come back with my husband for a romantic getaway and enjoy the delicious drinks and the amazing service again.

Just came back from Rosewood Little Dix Bay - Virgin Gorda! We went there to disconnect to connect! Beautiful Island, the sea has some incredible colors and the beach is just gorgeous! The PEOPLE is amazing and very friendly! They fulfill every request and even anticipate the needs! Food was just another level, they have 3 venues plus you can get a high quality food at the beach and bar as well! Well equipped fitness with tennis courts. It was full but we had the best relaxing time at that property. We will comeback with our family soon. Thank you Rosewood!

Margaritaville Vacation Club - St. Thomas offers bright studios and apartments in a funky beachfront hotel with a restaurant, bar, and pool. Guests can enjoy the island's renowned golf course, beautiful beaches, and vibrant nightlife. The resort provides top-notch services and amenities including free Wi-Fi access and accessible parking options. It is located in Frydendal, offering studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom accommodation suites ideal for two to six guests.
Loved our stay here. Great rooms and a comfortable bed. We didn't use the beach side pool and restaurant (much) due to the awful smelling sargassum seaweed smell, but that wasn't an issue at our rooms or the upper infinity pool. We never had an issue finding parking, but it WAS a long walk up the hill to our rooms if we didn't want to wait on a golf cart tram. This place is very well maintained. I also recommend the 2-hour evening catamaran cruise.
Duane H — Google review
The resort was overall a great place. It has a lot of potential and for the rate, the experience was good. I just can't accept the smell of the seaweed!!! And not to be able to access the beach because of it is why I gave it 3 stars. If management finds a way to control the seaweed's spread and smell, this place would be a spot that I would recommend and even revisit. The restaurant staff was amazing! And the staff overall were polite and helpful. Please do something about the seaweed.
D W — Google review
I really love most everything about this resort. The staff was OUTSTANDING 10/10, the rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. The views from Bldg 10 were great. I only have 2 complaints-- lack of food options, and the lack of food at the infinity pool bar--HUGE MISTAKES How can you only served food 1x during an hour and then cutoff at 2pm when the pool is open until 10pm. The infinity pool area is the best thing at the resort, but seems like it was forgotten about in the guest experience plan.
Tina M — Google review
The place was beautiful but I could not get over the saragassum smell. It made it so we could not utilize the main pool or bea h or even enjoy food in the open air restaurant or bar. Our room was clean and large. The staff was very apologetic about the smell. They offered golf cart rides up to the hilltop pool where there was no smell. They also offered shuttles to 2 nearby beaches to enjoy. The area around the resort seems very much "local". Not close to many shops or dining options without a car or near many tourist areas. It's a shame because the resort is beautful and I felt we couldn't enjoy it as much as we could have.
Nicole P — Google review
Seaweed Is the main problem... You can't use the beach because of seaweed. Smell is something that i can't describe... Restaurant and resort like resort are very good. There is a lot of activity in the resort and the pool Is very nice. I would not recommend solo travelers to go in Virgin Islands.. Outside the resort is REALLY scary!! A lot of homeless people and some other scary ones... I was 5 days there and i didn't go outside. One more thing to know about resort is that they don't have housekeeping. Until they solve seawood i will not come back, but when they solve that will be so much better!

The room was great. Our room was poolside. The room was cleaner than what I expected 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿. After a day at the hotel we quickly realized that the beach was not accessible. I noticed the hotel sent out a text message a day before we arrived notifying us of the seaweed. After seeing the beach this wasn't something that just occurred. This is something that should have been disclosed before booking not a day before arrival. The smell was horrible and the sight was just as bad. If you want the beach experience you have to go to the neighboring beaches. At which they charge you to sit and to be under a beach umbrella. Margarita ville could have at least paid for your chair and umbrella rentals since they recommended you to go to the other beach since their property was unsuitable. Check out the pictures and videos I attached. BEFORE YOU BOOK HERE MAKE SURE THAT THEIR BEACH IS ⛱️ SUITABLE AND SANITARY!!!!

Most of the staff were helpful and friendly, but calling the front desk for service of any kind was futile. We had no hot water our first day until the next day. Our coffee maker didn't work - "we'll send someone to fix or replace it." That never happened. Our daughter requested champagne to be sent to our room on the day of our anniversary. "We'll have it delivered." She called three times to make sure. That never happened. We requested the advertised, complimentary shuttle service to be taken back from Sapphire Beach. We were at the specific location 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled pickup. That never happened, so we wasted over an hour and a half waiting, finally having to take a cab on our own dime. They wouldn't refund that expense, either. Don't say you're going to do something and then just not deliver. When hurricane Erin caused the day-long cruise to be canceled, we were refunded approximately half of what we paid up-front. Really? Who kept that money? We celebrated our anniversary regardless, but seriously, management really needs to be on top of service issues.
Tim D — Google review
Stayed here for 5 days and would not stay again. The only good thing were the rooms. They were spacious and clean. When we arrived we were immediately greeted with a sales pitch and when we said we were not interested the girl had an attitude and rolled eyes. They have golf carts that take you around the resort but whenever we called for one we waited and waited and they never came. Also requested towels and after 3 hours and calling twice we made the long walk to the lobby where we were told no one even put the order in for the towels. Anytime you speak with a staff member they make you feel like a burden to them. The restaurant also adds an 18% tip automatically and our server wasn’t even that friendly. If you’re thinking of staying here i would reconsider.

The Buccaneer Hotel is a luxurious option that offers a wide range of amenities, including a restaurant, spa, golf course, and 8 tennis courts. Originally established in 1653 during the Knights of Malta's rule over St. Croix, the estate retains historic remnants like an old sugar mill. While not fully all-inclusive, the hotel provides various packages with resort credits for dining, massages, golf or tennis.
We had one of the most amazing and memorable stays at the Buccaneer Resort! The views were just mind-blowing! We also had sumptuous breakfast every morning! Our pool times were incredible as well! Hope to return some day! “Historic Significance: Dating back to 1653 as a manor house built by a Knight of Malta, the property has undergone various transformations, serving as a sugar mill, cotton plantation, cattle estate, and finally, a resort owned by the Armstrong family since 1947.”

We had such a wonderful trip staying at The Buccaneer with our 7-year-old! Our room was in a perfect spot—just a short walk to the beach—so we could wake up and stroll straight to the ocean each morning. The pool nearby had stunning views, and we spent plenty of time relaxing and enjoying it. We also loved the beach near the kayak rentals and restaurant. It had everything you could want for a perfect beach day: food, drinks, umbrellas, chairs, kayaks, and floats. A couple of small notes: it took me a little while to figure out the A/C in the room, so if it’s your first time, it might be worth asking about. Also, the pillows weren’t terrible, but they weren’t quite what I’m used to—something I’ll be better prepared for next time. Aside from that, everything was fantastic. Be sure to make dinner reservations at the on-site restaurants, especially on weekends. The service is always excellent, and we really appreciated the clean drinking water in the room, which was refilled daily. We especially miss the breakfast buffet—it was a favorite! We had a wonderful stay at the Buccaneer! Great location and the most beautiful views! The staff were all so nice! We enjoyed the breakfast each morning...lots of great food & variety! We visited several beaches around the island and would say the Buccaneer has the best beach! We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at The Buccaneer! The property is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking ocean views and beautiful beaches. The staff was excellent and the service truly impeccable. We especially appreciated the wide range of amenities, including kids camp and babysitting services, which made our trip even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend The Buccaneer to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

This was the most incredible vacation I’ve ever been on! As newlyweds, we wanted a relaxing, adventurous vacation. The staff achieved just that. I cannot thank staff like Joel, Lea, all the front desk staff, the bartenders, housekeeping, etc. for their amazing hospitality! The staff is always kind and helpful!

We stayed in a deluxe oceanfront room and it was indeed right on the beach. The room even has a back door to a private patio on the beach and is lovely. Service in the entire resort is outstanding. Beach attendants can deliver towels, drinks, food, snorkels, paddle boards etc. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Much, much nicer than the Carambola resort.

We stayed in the Luxury Beachside Doubloons for 8 nights paying $1k + a night. This resort is Gorgeous, but need a few touch ups with mold, but still Gorgeous! My Wife and I did notice some, not all of Staff treatment towards Us was quite different from the treatment of others. Some Staff obviously treated us differently as we observed them interacting with others. This was NOT a Racial issue, but an issue of ignorance. We will Continue visiting St. Croix as we have bonded with some great new Friends, but will never stay and spend our hard earned money at the Buccaneer Resort due to the treatment from some of the Staff. Note: of you choose to stay in the Doubloons be prepared to be awaken at 730am with noise from the cleaning staff on Side by sides. Again for the most part or stay was good, but we learned this Resort was not for Us.

If you're visiting St. Croix stay here. The rooms are spacious, the vast property is well maintained, the beaches are private and beautiful, the pool area is so cool and the staff is friendly. The boutiques are cute as well. Enjoyed complimentary breakfast at the Terrace and the ambiance every morning was perfect. Lunch at the mermaid while pricey was really good and conveniently located on the beach. Also, the resort is like an 8 minute drive from downtown Christiansted.

The most amazing stay. Rooms are perfect size. The food is amazing. Drinks are great. Getting to other places from scrub was a breeze. Tipping on top of the already included tip goes a long way. Merle, Alicia, Stacy and Nia were the best! We can’t wait to return!

beautiful spot. I’ve been here several times first time. I’m actually staying on the resort. I usually come and sleep on my boat and enjoy the food and chef service of my private boat. This is the first time like I said staying on Scrub. Towels by the pool can be nonexistent at times and there’s no sense of urgency to get you towels. Tips is included on all meals so Service is definitely lacking. There’s no sense of urgency. i’ve been here 11 days and I’m coming back with more family in July. I hope they can correct these issues.

Absolutely stunning! A slice of paradise. From the moment we arrived by boat, we were blown away by the views and the service. The resort is beautifully maintained, with spacious rooms and access to some of the crystal clear water. The beaches are pristine, private and peaceful, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay (shoutout Sadiq!). Can’t wait to return!

Location amazing! However the bartenders at the pool bar upstairs didn’t have any personality. It was hard to get a drink and no where was there a smile. Also they would serve who they wanted to versus first come! It could have been amazing but a missed opportunity. My guess is the automatics gratuity doesn’t get to them so they don’t care.
Nicole B — Google review
We echo what others have said - the property is beautiful and the restaurants have growth areas. The ferry from the airport is easy, though it runs on a schedule so be prepared to wait at the Trellis Bar until it arrives. The driver takes you there from the terminal. The ferry staff were wonderfully friendly, warm, and communicative. We were met with our rum punch drinks on dock. Check in was on the dock and she took us directly to our room with our keys. The only negative here is that they asked us to leave our bags on the dock so the staff could bring them up the steps. This was a mistake since we waited over an hour for our bags … they had our sunscreen and bathing suits so we couldn’t do much while waiting. Finally we went down and got them on the slightly wet dock. The beach is small but adequate. You can rent kayaks or paddle boards to snorkel at Diamond Reef, there are umbrellas, and the pool bar is just up the steps from the foot shower. The water is fairly protected and there are some fish to see and a trampoline to swim to. We did the Wednesday night party at North Beach - highly recommend - and Thursday dinner at Cardamom, which was fine. They were accommodating to my diet needs. We do not recommend Donovan’s. We needed a mid afternoon snack so we ordered nachos at the pool bar. Thirty minutes later, they still hadn’t come so the bartender sent my husband up to the kitchen to find them himself! By that time, they were soggy (cheese sauce is drippy) and hard to eat. The next day we tried it again for lunch. I ordered the Impossible Burger (comes with LTA) with a salad, no bun. 45 minutes later, I got fries, 2 burgers, lettuce, a tomato slice, and pickles. They had no avocados and offered aoili for my dry burgers. I said I ordered salad and no one brought one. Finally, the lady who cleaned up asked if I didn’t like my fries (I had one, not worth the calories) and I explained I had ordered salad and she was embarrassed that neither the server nor the manager who had come to confirm my plate was mine had brought a salad by the time we finished eating. The Outpost was great for snacks, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches. Friends we made said their pizza is really good. They have a small coffee bar and a surprising amount of groceries. Overall, the rooms are glorious, we love our patio. If we came often, we would consider coming back, but we will try something else next time.

This resort is absolutely stunning. The rooms are immaculate, and the views are simply spectacular. I especially love the Molton Brown amenities. The dining experiences are excellent, with delicious food in every restaurant. The retail shops are well-stocked with high-quality, unique items. The BVI’s are breathtaking, but what truly stands out is the exceptional service and genuine warmth of the staff.

Nestled on the waterfront of St. Croix, Divi Carina Bay Resort & Casino has recently undergone a major renovation and is now an adult-only all-inclusive resort. Guests can enjoy the on-site casino, two pools, beach lounging, and water sports. The resort offers various dining options including American cuisine, Italian fare, wood-fired pizzas, and gourmet coffee and pastries.
Overall I give this a 4 out of 5. Our room was clean and comfy…view was amazing and the maid service was great! The hotel itself was exactly what you would expect from a small island (at least for me anyways) the food wasn’t bad and the entertainment was great daily! The only downside to this hotel is the smell of decaying sargassum HOWEVER it seems to only linger in the parking lot and stairwells. You don’t smell it in your room, by the pool, the bar or in the cafe. At least that was our experience. Although the casino is small, there are tables for card games and plenty of slot machines.

Nice Resort, but the beach is a big letdown. Divi Carina Bay has some great things going for it. The staff is very kind and always tries their best to make your stay pleasant. The food is very good, and with three restaurants on-site, there is a nice variety to choose from. The rooms are just okay -not bad, but nothing special. Unfortunately the beach is a major issue. It's currently covered in seaweed, and the smell is strong and unpleasant. You can't even relax near the beach, which really affects the overall experience. I was told the seaweed usually lasts until October, so if you are planning a trip before then, it's something to seriously consider. This could be a lovely spot , but until the beach situation is addressed, it's not the best option for a beach getaway.

DON’T BOOK IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO OTHER ALL-INCLUSIVE… you will be disappointed. We staid here 4 nights for our honeymoon. Started off great! They let us check in an hour and half early which was amazing. Most of the bartenders we encountered were amazing! Good pours of liquor and nice. The first night we were there we had a female (can’t remember her name. She had shoulder length black straight hair) but she ignored us for 7 minutes. Finally she came over and just looked at us until we stated what we wanted. After about 5 hours of being there she finally started to warm up to us and had small conversations with us. Fast forward to about 7:30pm, we went to the dinner buffet. They had a sign up that said “steaks made to order” my husband asked for a medium rare steak and the lady standing behind the grill said “oh that’s for tomorrow” then took the sign down. The next night the sign wasn’t up but my husband asked for a steak and the lady standing behind the grill this night told us that steaks were the night before. So moral of the story, the lady from the previous night was lazy and didn’t want to do her job. Same night we had a skinny male with long hair that would get our drinks for dinner. He was very rude! He would just come up and say “what do you want”? The next morning after our bad dinning experience we tried to get a drink from the coffee shop and the same guy was working. We stood at the counter for 5 minutes. He looked at us then turned his back while he was making something. Didn’t say “I’ll be with you in a sec” or anything just ignored us. Also the buffet dinning area has 4 AC units in the room.. not one is turned on. All the guest are fighting over two small fans in the dining room. So enjoy being drenched in your sweat while trying to eat. They refuse to turn it on because the employees are use to the heat. The only “nice” restaurant on the resort is closed and has been for a while due to maintenance but we never saw anybody in there working to get it fixed. The bar in the lobby is supposed to be open but it’s not. There’s not bartenders there ever unless it’s storming and they have to shut down the pool side bar. There’s coffee shop has very limited muffin and cookies. They bartenders shut the pool side bar down early because they want to go home. It says they stay open till 11pm….every night we were there they did last call at 10:15. The made to order food at the pool side bar is highly suggested over the buffet. THEY ARE THERE TO MAKE THE GUEST COMFORTABLE! but at this resort that’s not the case. The beach is very dirty every day. We also got eaten by sand flies. They cleaned it one time while we were there. The pool only got cleaned one day we were there. They give you a paper with activities they have scheduled for each day…..most of the activities did not happen. The room was decent. Luckily the AC worked amazing in our room. It seems like they never fully clean the shower. The drain clogged bad the first night there and almost over flowed. My husband had to pull the cover to the drain up clear the drain. Looked like it had been gunked up for a few stays before us.

Overall the resort was nice with a great room and even better view. Our total star count was only 3 as we were disappointed in what was actually offered at the resort vs what was offered on their website. The bar/ restaurant in the casino was closed, the Italian restaurant was closed, villa pool was closed, mini golf hours were limited, and longitude bar was closed. The coffee shop/gift shop closed daily at 12pm. We were told this was due to it being off season, but it would have been nice to know prior to going that all would not be offered as we spent a lot of money for our trip and did not get all the amenities.

My family traveled to this location at the end of June beginning of July. Prior to writing this review, I looked at some of the other comments and would say those negative reviews are absolutely correct. We decided to try this location for a vacation due to it being within the United States and for the amazing snorkeling on the island. We settled on this hotel because it was an all inclusive, and not having to worry about anything. That being said, most of the staff absolutely views you as an inconvenience to them. Half the time they would be standing around talking to each other so I would have to insert myself into their conversation just to get some service after which they would roll their eyes and respond rudely. Multiple times I looked over at my family and made the comment that I had never been somewhere on a vacation and made to feel like I was inconveniencing them and not wanted. My whole family agreed. At one point I was sitting at the bar with my family, waiting to order and observed the two bartenders on the far side of the bar talking with some young female patrons instead of serving the rest of the bar. Multiple people were getting frustrated and made comments out loud about how terrible the service was. The hotel has one dining area for breakfast lunch and dinner which is a buffet style and about the quality you would expect for a school lunch. They do have a nicer Italian restaurant which you have to make a reservation for and is only open twice a week for dinner. We set up two reservations and the first time we went it was amazing and met my expectations of an all inclusive resort at the price point we paid. The second reservation was our last night at the hotel. My wife and I got dressed up and walked to the front doors of the restaurant and found that they were locked with a sign saying they had canceled dinner that night with no prior warnings or notifications made. We then sat at the bar by the pool and watched as multiple other couples had gotten dressed up and walked to the front door like us just to read a sign saying they had closed the restaurant turning away in disgust. Just like stated on other reviews, they have events and crafts, but you never know if it’s actually going to happen. At one point, we waited around for 30 minutes and nobody came so we went to the front desk where they then informed us that it had been canceled. I could go on about the negative experiences to include a bartender, literally raising his voice at me when I’m trying to get his attention for a drink. The same bartender would roll their eyes whenever you ordered something they didn’t want to make and then try to convince you to get something else that was easier. Depending on the bartender you would never know what drinks you could actually order and they could make. The beach was completely covered with sea weed to the point it was almost unusable and made the whole place smell! By the end of our trip they started to remove some of it but never removed it all. It was impossible to swim. That being said there were some great people we did meet. We were there for over a week and there are several bartenders that were truly amazing! One of them was newer and learning the ropes but did everything he could to help everybody. The cook at the grill was also incredible. He knew what he was doing and half the time we would eat lunch and dinner at the grill due to the restaurant kitchen being so bad. Even the room service was bad. At one point we had to go to the front desk for toilet paper and towels because they never replaced them! To top it all off there was a loud group that showed up and was screaming all night and even tried to get into our room with the hotel doing nothing about it. Also there seemed to be trash everywhere! And finally, we literally had no hot water in the room for showers the entire trip! The island itself is incredible and as you can see in pictures it’s gorgeous, but, I would stay away from this hotel unless they make some major changes!

I won't rehash all the prior reviews except to say that the staff are wonderful. Patient, friendly, professional and kindhearted. They deserve a better workplace and guests deserve a better maintained property. The staff tried hard to overcome every misgivings with class and grace, I can tell they are proud of the hotel and like their job. MANAGEMENT... repair the ac where food is prepared and served. Our hostess had to moved a floor fan to increase our comfort. My room was so damp puddles formed on the floor. housekeeping brought in a dehumidifier but it broke. Maintain the property...no cheap updates. Please help your staff and yourselfs.

Disappointing Service & False Promises at an All-Inclusive resort. The staff’s hospitality is surface-level friendly until you actually need something. Then, they become dismissive, unhelpful, and often outright hostile, as if guests are an inconvenience rather than the reason the resort exists. Unprofessional & Unhygienic Service Louisa, the pool bartender, was a standout disappointment consistently rude, visibly miserable, and shockingly unprofessional. Watching her handle limes with her bare hands (long nails included) was appalling. Is a basic lime squeezer too much to ask for at an all-inclusive resort? Incompetence & Misinformation - The front desk insisted the bar closed at 11 PM, yet it shut down at 10:30 PM every night without exception. - Our package promised water sports, yet nothing was available upon arrival. No alternatives were offered, even though seaweed made the beach unusable. - We were told the pool opened at 6 AM, but staff failed to mention no entry was allowed until 10 AM due to maintenance. Half-Hearted Service & Lack of Effort At the coffee bar, we ordered an iced cappuccino only to receive a hot one. Instead of remaking it properly (with frothed milk), the barista poured the hot drink over ice and called it fixed. Should we really have to beg three times for a simple order to be correct? No Guidance or Local Knowledge Even when we explicitly asked for recommendations—beaches, restaurants, anything and emphasized we had a rental car and were willing to drive, staff had absolutely nothing to offer. An "Adult" Resort That Shuts Down at 10:30 PM?For a resort marketed as an all-inclusive adult experience, closing the bar and all amenities by 10:30 PM is unacceptable. Where was the vibrant nightlife or even basic late-night options? Final Thoughts This was not the premium, stress-free vacation we paid for. Between the unprofessional staff, misleading information, and complete lack of effort, we left feeling frustrated and cheated. Save your money this resort does not deliver on its promises.

We just left yesterday. We was there for 5 days. Front desk staff was clueless about everything but at this point its too late to get a refund. 1st there's nothing to do and don't be deceived everything is fake. 2 places to eat but thr grill by the 1 pool serves the same thing everyday. But they want tips!!! The taxi was $90 for the 3 of us and they charge $5 per bag now don't you think everyone flying in has a bag what a rip On top of that if u want to go in town we paid $14 per person since we was with another family. You to and from town really and think you have paid alot to visit. Horrible those taxi guys own their own. Taxis so they are ripping off tourist daily. The things that they had sucked big time . The grill area takes a long time to get your food . You would think that the hotel would make a deal with the taxis for the guest and I don't know if they are giving a piece of the fares but I doubt it. We got stranded in town and didn't know if they driver was going to picked us up then he yelled at the people we was with his name is Francis. They be nice till they get paid . The resort people all they say is sorry but they already got your money So I want everyone to know what's happening at that resort. They don't offer no other ride options. Please spend your hard working money somewhere where its something to do and where you don't have spend all your dam money on taxis.fyi it cost us $75 for 3 to get to airport. Beware beware

Nestled on the stunning shores of Tortola, Long Bay Beach Resort is a hidden gem that beckons travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure. This boutique resort boasts an impressive mile-long stretch of pristine white sand beach, perfect for sunbathing or leisurely strolls along the shoreline. The property beautifully marries modern luxury with historical charm, featuring its signature restaurant housed in a restored 1748 sugar mill—an homage to the island's rich heritage.
We stayed in a Beachside Villa. It was very nice and offered a beautiful view of the water. Breakfast was included in our package and we took full advantage of it. I especially appreciated the days they had gluten free toast and guacamole. The guacamole always sold out fast. It is YUMMY! The Berry Bliss Bowl was also very good. We also ate a couple dinners there. The food, drinks, convenience and service were all good. We got a Couples Massage. It was amazing! When we ventured out, they were great about arranging rides for us. The drivers were all exceptional. I enjoyed long walks up past Smugglers Cove. The pool area is splendid. We did a Sunset Cruise, which involved a good tour, but we missed the sunset because we returned to the dock too early. Check all charges posted to your room, as we found several mistakes. Do it there, not after settling the bill. We loved Long Bay and would stay there again!

We had a great stay here! We went in October during the slow season, and the resort was very peaceful/quiet. We enjoyed lounging at the beach, getting massages and doing cold bath + sauna at the spa, and using the gym. Very clean spaces, and the housekeeping staff does a good job. Yes, it is pricey, but that is to be expected for resorts like this. Very hospitable and friendly staff. We specifically enjoyed interacting with Minroy, Lesroy, Tess, Orlando, Ketica, Dwayne, and many others whose names we didn’t get. They all deserve raises. We would stay here again :)

I cannot rave about Long Bay enough and if Nicole or Adil are reading this I am so sorry it took me this long to write this long overdue review. I took my now wife to Long Bay with an engagement ring burning a hole in my pocket. The staff were incredible. Nicole, a manager, helped set up the perfect scene for me to pop the question and it exceeded all of my expectations. Adil, at the front desk, was so helpful and hilarious but truly all of the staff were amazing. We had an incredible time. We will never forget the place, the people, or the fun we had and I hope we make it back soon. I strongly recommend you go.

It’s hard to put this place into words—perfection doesn’t even begin to do Long Bay justice. From the moment we arrived, greeted with delicious rum punches to kick off the weekend, Akil and his team made us feel like family. Every staff member—whether at breakfast, the pool, or the spa—remembered our names and made every interaction personal and special. We were able to completely unplug and soak in every moment of this beautiful resort. Meeting Chef Bryan was a highlight—his attention to detail and mastery of flavor go far beyond expectations. After this unforgettable weekend, we’ve decided to get married at Long Bay in January. We couldn’t imagine celebrating anywhere else. We can’t wait to bring our friends and family to meet the wonderful people who made us feel at home, and we look forward to returning again and again

Sugar Bay Resort & Spa is a laid-back oceanfront property located on the northeastern shoreline of St. Thomas. It offers stunning views of Water Bay, the British Virgin Islands, and St. John. The resort sits on 31 lush tropical acres and provides an all-inclusive experience with comfortable guest rooms featuring satellite TV and furnished balconies.
My room has a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean, turquoise clear water, comfortable bed and spacious living area. The most valuable part of this trip has been the customer service, from the dining staff Lashonda with her great big smile she always remember my favorite place to sit and it was ready, making me and my group feel welcomed and valued whether it was at Collin’s or at the Reef. Natasha my sweetheart with your contagious smile made my lunch better. Pedro the amazing manager always present and willing to help if needed. Kay at Umi thanks for the great service during our Asian inspired dinner. I had the dragon sushi roll and shrimp tempura roll. The bar staff always with a smile made all the cocktails happen from Antonio luring me to the mimosas (love) during breakfast and passion fruit mojito 10/10 starts. Lee at the swim up bar with great enthusiasm and good music, thank you for Great time. David during dinner and evening party thanks for bringing the energy. I could write a book about the staff but you guys will be bored. During the beach days my guys from water sport set up umbrellas, bring you drink, set up your towel always smiling. Spent two weeks here over the summer and didn’t want to leave. Absolutely enjoyed the hospitality this resort offered. Starting with the most excellent belllman Reshaud. The front desk Chloe, Natalie, Sean, Akiel, NG Ina. Forgive me if I misspelled your name. The bartenders were all exceptional as well. Akeem and Damien and Nicholas. The beautiful ladies in the food buffet Kyra, Cherese and those that wait on you to get your drinks and keep the resort clean. They all make your stay so pleasant. If you need to stop in the Gift shop you will find Niedle who is helpful and very friendly. She makes a real effort to get to know you and you can tell she loves meeting new people. The house keeping staff are just so helpful and go out of their way to accommodate you. A big thank you to Sophia and Samantha! Hopefully I didn’t leave anyone out. During our stay we never had any issues finding a lounge chair and the water sports gentleman will come and get you your umbrella for proper shade. We did have ocean front room but the Palm trees took up 2/3 of our view. They offered to move us but we just moved our table chairs over on the patio. One other thing I will mention that wasn’t a big deal for us but if you enjoy room service they have a small fee. Also, an up charge at the Steakhouse if you order the ribeye. But all in, this resort was outstanding! We will come back!

My experience was not what I expected, very unorganized at check in . The dining room never had spoons , and they ran out of salt and pepper. There were 35 people who traveled with me for my wedding there at Sugar Bay and everyone complained. The best thing was the view and meeting other people who were traveling also. I have sand bug bites all over just from sitting by the pool. I have never experienced anything like this before . It was horrible. They need to treat the pool area because I'm sure they know they have a bug problem. It's not fare not to warn your guests about the sand bugs . Unfortunately I had to find out on my own. Not the best place to stay and definitely not worth the price they charge to stay here. And also there were items stolen from my room. Horrible!!

We stayed at Sugar Bay in December 2014 or our honeymoon. We were there right before they made the switch to DREAMS. Even though we stayed during the construction....I mean they were actually planting giant palm trees when we 1st arrived it was peaceful and quiet and for the most part clean. The staff upon arrival were amazing and were great the entire time!!! Top Notch and should be commended for their exemplary service. We were always greeted with a smile and we got the best service with any request we made. Again despite the construction and a few detours here and there. Our stay was memorable. The water supply wasn't all that great but we made do. Hey...it was St. Thomas...how much can you really complain? We can't wait to get back there and stay at the new upgraded resort!! Trying to make a way to get back there ASAP. The only thing my husband would say was that the pool was too cold. :) Besides that.....We will be back!!!

Awful management - the only thing they couldn't screw up was the beautiful view! Elevator to room - pitch dark with no working light; took 36 hours to fix! Noodles Bar (part of all inclusive) - Ran out of noodles over an hour before closing TWICE. the last day, they were short of 50% of the items by 4pm and they opened at 3pm. They wanted you back to the normal restaurant that sold burgers, sandwiches, etc! Fan in room - when it was on medium or high, it could fly off the ceiling at any moment as it shook violently. Brought to staff's attention all 3 days and nothing done except writing down the information at front desk each time like they were truly concerned; then again nothing. AC in room - keep the TV on so you don't hear the roar at night. Don't upgrade to an Ocean Room - they insisted our room was Ocean room because we have Bay view and over a mountaintop, there was a glimmer of the ocean. Bartenders and regular staff were very friendly; but manager was awful and couldn't care what your problem was; just wrote it down knowing eventually you are leaving! This is my first review ever; so it was worth my time to alert others of the pending problems you will get. Great views, nice pool, nice regular staff. Awful management. If someone bought them out, it would be paradise.

Staying at Sugar Bay was really the best week I've possibly ever had. St. Thomas is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I booked a Living Social all-inclusive deal and couldn't have been any happier. The room's view was gorgeous, the food was great (considering it was all-inclusive), and there were multiple options of where to eat. The beach was beautiful, pool was beautiful. The staff were SO, SO nice. I'd recommend this over and over again. I've been checking back weekly for another deal, but haven't found any :( I hope the all-inclusive deal goes back on Living Social eventually, because I'd purchase it again in a heartbeat. Thank you Sugar Bay!

We had incredible experience these past 2 weeks. We felt like we were right at home. Made some friendships that will last a lifetime there. Room service was lightening fast. The front desk lady that greeted us everyday was so sweet it was hard to believe she was a real person.

Located in East End, Tortola, the Wyndham Tortola BVI Lambert Beach Resort offers a slice of paradise with contemporary accommodations and a stunning beach setting. The resort features spacious modern rooms spread out among small buildings, an open-air restaurant, and an outdoor pool with a swim-up bar. Guests can enjoy the convenience of being close to the international airport and Road Town while indulging in the resort's spa, fitness center, and beautiful gardens.
We had an incredible time here! We were looking for a spot where we could simply relax with no stress or worries, and we got exactly that! The beach is beautiful, peaceful, and secluded, which is just what we were hoping for. Their food at the restaurant was great and their restaurant manager, Tamas, was amazing!! If you go, make sure you have a conversation with him. He was so kind and welcoming and grateful to serve us. Tamas is the best! I would recommend anyone to visit here!

Wyndham Tortola sits on a truly beautiful piece of property — right on the ocean with stunning views, and the overall aesthetic and layout have so much potential. The highlight for me was the beach at Lambert Bay. It was absolutely incredible: crystal-clear water, no seaweed, and a calm, peaceful vibe that made it feel like a true escape. The staff were fantastic — genuinely kind, helpful, and welcoming. They were the best part of the experience by far. Our room was clean and comfortable, but it was surprising (and a bit inconvenient) that there was no iron or hair dryer, which you’d expect from a resort at this level. The restaurant was decent. The food was okay, but not memorable — something you’d maybe try once, but not return to. On the upside, the drinks were great and the bar area had a nice vibe. Unfortunately, where the resort really fell short was in the maintenance and care of the property. The landscaping was neglected and overgrown, making large parts of the grounds feel unkempt. The beach chair area needed serious attention, and it took away from an otherwise beautiful beachfront experience. Worst of all, the pool was in terrible shape — murky, deep green, and completely uninviting. I made the mistake of going in briefly and ended up with a rash, which was not only gross but seriously concerning. Clearly, the water quality is not being monitored or managed properly. It’s honestly a shame, because Wyndham Tortola could be something special. It has the bones — great location, wonderful staff, beautiful beach — but it needs serious attention to cleanliness, landscaping, and overall upkeep. As it stands, I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless some major improvements are made.

I recently stayed at Wyndham Tortola BVI Lambert Beach Resort and had a truly enjoyable experience. The property is beautiful — the beach is stunning, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the entire staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Their warm attitude really made my stay memorable. That said, I would love to see the resort take the next step toward a full “resort experience.” The lounge chairs on the beach could use an upgrade, and it would be fantastic to have beach service for drinks and snacks — similar to what other top Caribbean resorts offer. It would elevate the guest experience tremendously. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would happily return. With a few small improvements, this resort could easily become a true 5-star destination in the BVI.

I travel for a living, staying in a hotel 4 nights a week in average. I never write reviews but I felt like I had to. The property is beautiful. The bartender at the restaurant was the rudest bartender I've ever seen in my entire career traveling. Two out of the three people at the front desk were extremely rude as well. I get their probably tired of getting the same questions from different people everyday but that's life in the hospitality business. I won't ever stay here again.

We are currently staying at this location and ran in to several issues, beginning the TV did not work the service desk came promptly to fix, though after we went to the bar and when i tell you the BARTENDER JOHN was the worst I have experienced and we travel often he was looked and acted as if he was miserable argued with the wait staff 75% of the time which rolled down to the guest at the bar we did not get service had to ask a server that was walking around to help us he disregarded our existence pretty much we went next night and it was exactly the same we wanted to order and decided not because of his poor actions we decided to leave so here the next day we had room service came picked up our towels and said they will bring them back in 15 min we had to leave here it is 10pm come back to the room after a beautiful day NO TOWELS, WASH CLOTHS NOTHING!!! This was a very beautiful property but service 2/10 😢 ..

Very good hotel in a gorgeous place. beautiful view, nice rooms and good staff. The restaurant is specially good. This is definitely a bonus if you don't like driving at night in the winding roads of Tortola.

I had the best sleep there in a long time—something rare for me on business trips. The place is truly magical. Combined with the warm, professional staff—especially the bartender by the pool—I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the BVI in search of peace and tranquility.

Tamarind Reef Resort is a stunning oceanfront property located on the shores of Green Cay in St. Croix. The resort features beachfront rooms with free Wi-Fi and ocean views, as well as a pool, two restaurants, loaner kayaks, and a spa. Situated on 40 acres of lush gardens with a large marina, the resort offers easy access to Buck Island Reef National Monument for snorkeling and marine life exploration.
My partner and I stayed for one night as his grandma won a night at Bingo at the Deep End restaurant there. She plays every once a week on Thursdays. When we cashed in the night stay we stayed in a HoneyMoon suite. It was wonderful. The beach is secluded and peaceful. The room is spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend a stay here

There is no beachy area with water access. There is a beach with sand, but the water is very rocky. Our room was amazing and spacious, overlooking the water, waves crashing all the time. The little bar that is on the property is ok. I was expecting something better. The food was expensive and mediocre...only ate there once for the duration of our trip. This hotel isn't near like the heart of the island...you are about 20 minutes away. Nice and quiet, no traffic, very peaceful. I would recommend staying here
Bryan S — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 6 nights in January. Room was pleasant and the ocean front location is awesome with waves and sea breezes a constant as we sat on the patio just a few steps from the shoreline. The beach in front of us is rocky and beautiful but not the sandy beach you want to swim at although there are several lovely sand beaches close by. The entire resort is a little tired – not new and some minor deferred maintenance but nothing drastic. The window blind had no pulls so we rolled it up and tied it with plant material we found on the beach. Patio door locks by using a bamboo stick – that sort of thing. Having said that, we loved being there and the staff were helpful and pleasant - always looking to make things right. We had a reservation mix-up and they took care of us and made everything more than right. Room was comfy, airy, and clean. The kitchen area was minimally appointed but adequate for our needs. It is not a luxury property or a cookie cutter chain but a charming local place with St Croix character which is just what we hoped for. We plan to return.

This is right on the water. You can watch the ocean from your room, deck or patio! There is a great beach with a reef, good snorkeling ! Don't go here for the rooms, go for the ambiance. The beach is awesome, the pol is large. The Deep End restaurant is on the property. The property has tennis, pickleball, a large marina with sailing trips, fishing guides and some awesome boats. Don't expect a lot from the rooms but get a lot from property!

The kitchen supplies were subpar to say the least. Good thing there was only two of us there was not enough to serve four people. Had to buy a sharp knife as the other had been used as a screwdriver. the floor was very sandy when we got there, so they are not cleaning well. Towels were great. Beds were comfortable. Photos of resort are not representative of what you will find when you get there.

Mango Bay Resort, a boutique property located on the west coast of Virgin Gorda, offers six private villas overlooking Mahoe Bay. The resort features two Beachfront villas and four Ocean View and Garden View villas surrounded by tropical landscaping. Guests can enjoy easy access to the beach and stunning views of the large coral reef just 50 feet from shore. The resort is an ideal destination for couples, singles, and families seeking a luxurious beach vacation in the British Virgin Islands.
My wife and I had an absolutely amazing experience at Mango Bay! From the moment we arrived, the manager went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Her warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel truly welcomed. The villa itself was stunning – beautifully maintained, spacious, clean and equipped with all the amenities needed for a relaxing getaway. The ocean view plus the serene surroundings made it feel like a slice of paradise. The highlight, however, was the exceptional service. Whether it was personalized recommendations, prompt assistance, or just their friendly demeanor, the manager made every moment memorable. She provided excellent communication to us before and throughout our stay. I can’t recommend this resort enough for anyone looking for a perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and outstanding service. We’re already looking forward to my next visit! P.S. Exploring Virgin Gorda and all it's natural attractions was a great experience as well!

This is our new favorite place to stay on our favorite island. This is a lovely location with a fantastic beach. It is perfectly located so that you have a beautiful 20 minutes max ride to really anywhere on the island. The rooms were nicely furnished, modern and exceptionally clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We will return.

If you’re looking for the best resort in the British Virgin Islands, stop searching—Mango Bay Resort is it. This isn’t just a hotel, it’s a slice of paradise. I’ve stayed at many hotels and resorts around the Caribbean, and Mango Bay stands out as the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Period. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. Mary Beth personally greeted me and gave me a warm, thoughtful tour of the property right away. Her welcome was so genuine and heartfelt—it set the tone for my entire stay. She is a true hospitalitarian and made me feel instantly at home. The views from the resort are unreal: crystal-clear waters, lush greenery, and the softest white sand beach just steps away from my suite. This is the kind of resort you dream about when planning a luxury island escape. The rooms at this hotel resort are immaculate, modern, and perfectly equipped for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Every detail was thoughtfully designed—from the layout to the linens. The bed? Easily the best I’ve slept in on any island hotel. And the kitchen was stocked better than most apartments! What makes Mango Bay the best resort in Virgin Gorda isn’t just the stunning location, though that helps—it’s the privacy, the peace, and the feeling that you’ve discovered a hidden gem. Yet somehow, it still feels five-star in every sense of the word. I’ve already decided I’ll be coming back. This hotel and resort has earned a permanent spot on my best travel list. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with family, this is the best hotel resort for total relaxation and island luxury. Best hotel. Best resort. Best vacation. Mango Bay is the BEST.

The resort is literally right on the beach and has perfect views of the bay. There is no food nearby so you'll need to bring your own or rent a car or taxi. There is currently no bar service on the resort but they have plans to add one soon. The beds are comfortable and the service was very friendly and accommodating.

Looked at many reviews prior to going which were mainly good. However, the month before the holiday, the reviews were very negative ie poor food, bed bugs, Hotel needs complete refurb etcl!! The lovely Shirene put our mind at ease after I emailed. I really cant believe they are talking about Mango Bay. I am an extremely fussy person (😩) and believe when you are spending your hard earned cash you deserve a certain standard. So please have a look at my thoughts below: Room: We stayed in the 1 bed condo and they had kindly put a double bed in the sitting area which meant we had a bedroom each which was fantastic. It was spotlessly clean. Both beds were absolutely comfy and between the six pillows there were some very comfy ones. Fantastic air conditioning. Thank you to the wonderful room staff who did a fantastic job of keeping it clean. The bathroom is dated but perfectly fine. The 1 bed condos are located to the side of the hotel with garden views. They even have a seperate pool you can use but we stuck to the beach and larger pool. The room maybe not the height of luxury but honestly it was lovely. If you want super luxury, go next door to Sandpiper and pay £15000 !! Staff: On the whole they were absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and attentive. So many fantastic people including CliAnne, Sabrina, Alexenander, Nickoli, Javiere, Karen, Dale, Reydon & Damian (what a bundle of energy and provided wonderful one of a kind drinks beach service ) Nicole and a special thanks to Shirene who took special care of us. So many more staff. Apologies for not remembering all your names. Food: Either set menu which whilst not extensive (this is a good thing I believe) was tasty and something for everyone. A few nights was buffet and again something for everyone. It may not be Haute Cuisine but was more than acceptable. Look out for the coconut shrimp starter which was wonderful.. Breakfast, everything you need. Over the seven days we stayed, the menu/buffet changed every night, never once repeated. Excellent service. Drinks: Not so keen on the cocktails as were a bit sweet but that is a personal view. My daughter loved the strawberry daiquiri. Wonderful local Mount Gay Rum. Lovely chilled white wine and Rose as much as you wanted. Chilled water always available. Entertainment: First class. Something every night which didnt go on until silly o clock. Really wonderful singers and musicians. Loved the gent playing the steel drums early one evening whilst we sat on the beach. There was pool pilates and beach yoga with the wonderful Isobelle. Complimentary catamaran trip and much more. Beach: Beauriful calm, blue sea (unusually there were a few days of rolling waves which is very rare but ended up back no normal just prior to leaving) Great drinks service. The beach lads did a great job of keeping things clean and providing beds and towels etc. Yes, we did tend to go down early to put our towel down but this was only because we had found our ideal spot. Never saw anyone struggle to find a bed. Location: Superb. Right on the beautiful beach and a very short walk into Holetown. This is a smaller hotel with a wonderful ambience, fabulous location, beautiful beach and amazing staff. There may be rooms that need updating but ours was perfectly fine. Thank you to everyone for making it a very special holiday. So the ultimate question....would we return? A resounding yes!!

Mango Bay is the absolute best if you’re looking for relaxation and snorkeling. The people are lovely. The rooms are lovely. The beach is lovely. We’ve tried other places in the islands but always come back here.

We had THE BEST stay at mango Bay! Gorda itself is a wonderful island! Don't miss savannah beach, the hike to the lookout and prickly pear island. Mango is in mahoe Bay which is wonderful for swimming and paddling. It's a quiet and GORGEOUS location. The pool is also wonderful at mango. The main reason mango is so wonderful, though, is the staff. So lovely and helpful! Mary Beth is the absolute best! She is incredibly knowledgeable about the island and knows everyone. She will help you make the most of your stay. We were able to do so much because of her help! Splurge and book the villa right on the beach, nothing beats that view!

Super chill location with magnificent views and the beach literally at your feet. Manager’s on site really nice and thoughtful. They have a couple of larger villas ideal for a couple of friends to spend some relaxing days on an almost private beach. Would definitely return. Also rent a car you need it to get around, $50 or so bucks a day very worth it.

Sea Shore Allure is a luxurious beachfront retreat located on the beautiful island of St. Thomas. The resort offers polished bayfront condos with up to 3 bedrooms, kitchens, and balconies, providing stunning sea views and direct access to pristine sandy shores. Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, snorkeling equipment, poolside tiki bar, private beach, and poolside cabanas.
Seashore Allure is one of the most stunning properties I have stayed at! The rooms were impeccably clean, they have everything you need for cooking if you wish, and for visiting the beach. The bed is comfortable and they have everything you need to be comfortable. The parking is great and convenient. The walk to town is only .3 miles and much better than parking in Cruz Bay. The amenities are better than advertised. Dior is super friendly and responsive! I would not hesitate to book Seashore Allure again and hope to visit in the future!

This was our second time to St. John and second time staying at Sea Shore. We got married here in 2015 and were returning to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. We were so excited to return and to stay at Sea Shore. The property is beautiful and very well maintained, with a gorgeous view. Room was very clean and comfortable. While the property itself was just as nice as it was the first time, we were surprised and disappointed at the customer service issues we experienced. In terms of responsiveness, it was a totally different vibe than 10 years ago. As this trip was approaching, they reached out to us to offer assistance with things such as provisions for the room, jeep rentals, etc. We took them up on their offer to have them assist with a jeep rental. Ann Marie stopped responding to us about it prior to our trip. When we reached out for an update, she stated she was having difficulty finding something that fit the timeframe we needed but assured us she would let us know what would happen either way. We never heard anything and by the time we got there we were unable to secure a rental on our own. Had we known they weren’t going to assist, we would’ve handled it ourselves ahead of the trip. When we arrived, she was very nice when checking us in and even said we received a slight room upgrade (there was only one other couple staying there, so most rooms were open). She did not bring up the jeep issue, and at that point we didn’t mention it. When she heard it was our second time back, she informed us that returning guests get 10% off and that we would get credited. We didn’t know about the 10% thing but were very appreciative of her offer (in the moment it made us not care about the jeep issue). She stated that we would get an update about it at some point during the trip. We did not hear anything, so I followed up at the end of the trip. No response. I tried again when we first got back. Ann Marie said Dior would process it and we would see a credit in about 7 days. That time passed and I reached out again. No response. It took additional reaching out for Ann Marie to say that management had to review our “request” (we did not request it – it was offered). She then finally called to say management denied it because they technically placed us in an “upgraded” room. Not once did she apologize for wrongly offering us a 10% refund, nor did any owner or manager ever respond to us. It’s a shame because they were pleasant in person but the whole 3-week post trip ordeal left a bad impression. That issue, along with the lack of responsiveness about the jeep rental made it clear that we should stay somewhere else next time. You pay good money for the room, and with only 2 couples there you would expect responsiveness. The first experience 10 years ago was very nice in terms of the personal approach they had, as well as how responsive they were. That alone helped us overlook some of the downsides, such as location. Most taxis would not go back there at night, and the walk from the Cruz Bay night life isn’t the best when it is late. One taxi driver informed us that most drivers don’t like going there due to road conditions leading up to it. A jeep rental could solve that problem….

If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful place to stay on St John, this is THE place. From the connections and advice ahead of our trip to the fantastic room with a beautiful view of the bay, a private pool and hot tub and the quiet away from the Cruz Bay Area, this place gives it to you all. 5 minute drive to Cruz bay and all the action too. On top of that, the host (Dior) was always helping us with food suggestions, places to go and even helped with a birthday celebration. I could not speak more highly of this location in paradise. If you want the best of all things for your stay, SeaShore Allure will not disappoint.

Lots of good things to say about Sea Shore Allure – and a few not-so-good things. As for the positives, it’s really a very nice place. The villa we had (one bedroom, ground level) is beautiful and very well appointed with everything needed. Staff met us upon arrival, showed us around, had a welcome basket in the room for us, etc. Pool area is great, although the pool area hot tub was not working. Staff is great and very responsive to issues via text and phone. As for the negatives, maybe the most important thing to know is that Sea Shore Allure is in a neighborhood at the end of a road filled with potholes, some junk cars and some junk boats. During most nights we could hear a dog barking. We had a few issues with the villa – satellite TV didn’t work, whirlpool tub had issues, bathroom towel bar fell off, water pressure went to zero once, etc. Staff was notified and very responsive to the issues, but some things never did get fixed e.g. satellite TV. We really liked the island of St. John, and Sea Shore Allure was a great place to stay, and staff is outstanding, but there were a few issues that need to be addressed.

This place is amazing. Absolutely loved our two bedroom suite and the pool overlooking the bay was stunning. The staff members were so nice and they made us feel so welcome when we arrived. The suite had everything we needed (actually more than we needed which was wonderful). We will have wonderful memories of our vacation in St. John and Sea Shore Allure is one of the reasons why!

This place is truly amazing. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. The staff members were so nice and accommodating. Prior to the trip, I called the hotel and was planning to propose to my now fiancé. Dior helped me plan the entire proposal on the property and it was truly incredible. The staff set up a proposal with candles, flowers, a photographer, and steel drum musician and singer. It was truly magical - I can't thank Sea Shore Allure and their staff enough for a perfect vacation and proposal.

Sea Shore Allure did not disappoint... This property is gorgeous and very well maintained. Great Location. We were greeted upon our arrival by the owner who showed us around. A gift basket was in our room at our arrival. Our one bedroom unit was more than adequate for the two of us. The unit is up to date with high quality details and furnishings. Our bed was so comfortable. Loved being on first floor. Great location. This was our third visit to the island and our first time staying at Sea Shore Allure... By far the nicest place we've stayed on the Island.
