Sushi restaurant
Buddha Sushi Lounge & Grill is a chic and modern restaurant located near Red Hook on the island of St. Thomas. It offers a unique dining experience that blends Japanese culinary traditions with Caribbean influences. The restaurant boasts a stylish ambiance with contemporary decor, including intricate artwork and ambient lighting. Guests can indulge in the art of sushi-making while savoring innovative flavor combinations, making it a hidden gem for those seeking an unforgettable dining experience in the area.
I hate to leave reviews. I only do if I want to save someone else trouble or if my experience was worthy of bothering others with. Well, I came here once at the suggestion of a friend, and now I come every time I am here. Personally, my favorite is the Buddha Sushi roll. I left a pic. There are so many flavors that truly hit your taste buds one at a time and are not all mashed together. 6 times I have eaten it and all times are great. The owner/top chef is a culinary artist, and it shows. He has own several food awards. The building has always been clean, and the waitstaff (my favorite is Faye) are very respectful and helpful with suggestions. Lastly; MUST TRY soursop sherbet! I hear that Taj makes it himself, and the flavors finish off any palette.

Omg! My friends and I love sushi. We're very picky about it too. Good is hands down some of the best sushi I've ever had and I've been to Japan! The waiters were lovely as well! There was a mix of live music and Taj DJing. So fun! We decided that while on this trip, if we can't decide on what to eat, we're coming back here lol We had fried rice, the saltfish pate, a Philly, a California, the cricket and the volcano roll! All fabulous! The fried rice was unlike anything we'd had before! The only thing that was slightly amiss were the drinks but we literally don't care because the sushi was so freaking good!!!

Went here last night. Nice atmosphere. Open, but some privacy in the booths. Wait staff was very nice and helpful with the menu and specials. My fiancé had teriyaki chicken ( which was excellent, flavors spot-on!). I had one of the sushi specials. Smooth Kriminal. Food was phenomenal. Presentation was awesome. Staff were very friendly. It’s a great place to celebrate a special occasion or if you’re just in the mood for some great Asian food. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Super good but SUPER SLOW service also very expensive. The food is excellent but prepare yourself for a 3 hour dinner. I am not sure why it takes so long as it has never been busy when I’ve gone. I would 11/10 recommend the oyster appetizer- so freaking good. Their presentations are nice with the sauce writing for the name of the sushi rolls. Fish tastes very fresh. They have a large menu so everyone can find something they like. Staff is also very nice just need to figure out how to make their service faster!!!!!

From the moment we walked in we experienced such welcoming hospitality, but the amazing experience we had didn’t stop there. The atmosphere here is a huge vibe, with moody lighting, comfortable booths stocked with fluffy pillows, lovely coy fish pond, and beautiful live music to complete the ambiance. Now to the food. We started our meal with the sushi pizza, recommended by our wonderful server which was delicious. Following that we ordered 3 different rolls all of which were amazing in their own ways. Finally we had dessert which was very tasty and the chef brought us a complimentary sorbet to try which was made in house and that too was lovely.

Buddah Sushi hit the spot. It was the 1st place we ate at when we got to the island. The owner was super cool and hung out with us for a bit. Our waitress made you feel like family. I was there with my 2 nieces (15 and 17). We're vegan and loved everything we ate!
Justin C — Google review
Buddha Sushi Lounge is by far one of our favorite restaurants on the island. The sushi is absolutely incredible, and the chicken wings appetizer is a must-try! The service is always fantastic, and we make it a point to dine here every time we visit St. Thomas. It’s a family favorite and wonderfully welcoming for all ages.

Fresh sushi served daily! Had a great experience w my wife and her friends. Drinks were on point and the service was outta this world nice 💯 The spicy sushi rolls were on point; spice was very authentic! The calamari had great taste and the sweet chili sauce was great to dip it in 👌🏾 I really loved the Fire Snapper and Parrot Fish rolls. Outstanding experience ✊🏾

In a neighborhood known for its saltiness, Fish Tails Bar & Grill offers fresh seafood in a casual atmosphere. The open-air dining area overlooks the harbor, where boats with commercial fisherman and yachties are visible. Drinks flow freely and there is a strong emphasis on seafood dishes on the menu.
Service was a bit slow from the time we waited at the front door for seating to being greeted, etc, but the food was amazing. Atmosphere was very laid back and fun, great jazz band playing, overlooking the water. Huge portions! Expensive, but worth it. Amazing crab cakes! Fish tacos and seafood platter were delicious. The Best dinner I had on the island.

It seemed like the staff was undersupported that day, but they worked very hard to give us a good experience. Their fish tacos are amazing. Oysters on the half she'll are market price and worth ordering. Before lunch they offer endless mimosas, so that's another plus.
Brock P — Google review
Absolutely amazing place right at the harbor of Red Hook. Highly recommend going here for some really good daily caught fish or lobster. On occasion they have an extra sushi bar with a personal sushi chef. The shrimp are super fresh and crisp. If you only have 1 day in red hook, that's the place to dine! (And get their bushwacker inspired cocktail with peanut butter 😉)
Jan S — Google review
Loved the food at this restaurant !!! Very tasty drinks and the environment is pretty awesome too. We had the chance to see the guys come back from their fishing trip with GIGANTIC lobsters but we had already ordered the whole fried fish which was outstanding. The calamari was delicious but honestly I was expecting a little more. Anyway, really cool place right on the water.

Waitress was very nice and helped us get out on time to catch the last Safari bus. My fish tacos were good. Hubby's grilled Mahi sandwich was ok but he really likes cocktail sauce and ended up having to go get some himself.
Amanda — Google review
a little pricy for quantity but good quality. Kimchi bowl is spicy! Kids menu is available as well but Alfredo with chicken/shrimps tastes better than kid marinara sauce pasta.

Restaurant
Beni Iguana's Sushi Bar & Restaurant is a culinary gem that beautifully blends art and flavor, attracting both locals and visitors. Known for its vibrant sushi and sashimi offerings, the restaurant features an impressive selection of nearly 30 rolls, including favorites like spicy crab and red snapper. A standout dish is their steamed mussels drizzled with a unique house-made creamy sesame dressing affectionately called 'iguana sauce,' which has nothing to do with the island's namesake reptile!
The prices may appear steep, but these massive rolls are so jam packed with fish, you will not regret it! We got the Tiger, Volcano, and Big Bill rolls, and would highly recommend all 3. The miso soup is tasty, and the service is friendly and quick. Whether you are a local or coming through for vacation, this is a great spot for lunch or dinner.
Callum L — Google review
Loved this place. Everything was fresh and very tasty with some unique options. The rolls are huge, not long, but big around so bring your appetite. We went with a party of 12 later in the evening and they were able to accommodate us, but if it had been a busy time it might have been hard for them to do.
Mario M — Google review
Billy and Carlos were great! Huge sushi rolls and portions here as well. We came on a Tuesday and there were no cruise ships around so that’s probably why it wasn’t crazy busy. Our food also arrived in a timely manner with really good service. I also thought the sushi quality was really good. Some people may not like the extra rice but I thought both the rice and sushi were proportional and that they didn’t skip on the protein We tried a sashimi platter, lilis roll, seaweed salad, passion fruit mango cheesecake
K. S — Google review
Absolutely delicious. The rolls were too big to eat in one bite. I had to take 3 bites for each. I was stuffed!
Kathleen D — Google review
Food was actually fantastic. Service was quite mediocre. Family of 4 ordered the dumplings which on the menu states 12 for $12. We received 9 dumplings this was supposed to be an appetizer to share for all of us. When we asked where the rest were the server stated they changed the menu. Yes the food comes out on robots which does take away from the service aspect of dinning out especially when the gratuity on the check is included. Next thing that bothered me was we asked for a Togo box and as one of our guest was packing up the extra food a glass of wine was spilled in the process on accident. There was no customer service in finding a solution, no replacement, still charged on the bill and the server stated “ in my country if you spill a drink you’re probably drunk” I didn’t take this too well. We paid the bill and left. This place needs to do better if they want to keep guests. As a local I would probably only order take out in the future

I have been looking forward to having sushi on the island since arriving. Tonight I went and started with the calamari. It was just ok. Then I ordered a St John roll. It took to long for the amount of business there. A whole 4 tables and it took close to 25 minutes. When the plate arrived it had 2 rolls on it. One that I never ordered. The roll had very little tempura shrimp and a lot of imitation crab. The whole experience was mediocre at best. The robots were a novelty but kind of useless and annoying.

In the heart of the Caribbean, on the U.S. Virgin island of Saint Thomas, a certain stop is Beni Iguana's, a sushi place to please all kind of tastes. Our favorite is the Ecstasy Roll, great for the flavorful smoked eel, but the options are vast. But sometimes, being so popular as it is, the service let us down. Today was one of those days, where we had to look for a table ourselves and even after we were seated for a while nobody approached our table until calling the server, and this just happened after other customers that came later were seated and served right away. So in resume, we love the sushi here, but the service not always is the best.

Portions are huge. Loved the Mexican sushi with the cream cheese and jalapeno. Fried Pork dumplings were perfect.

Situated in historic downtown Frederiksted on St. Croix, Tap Deck Bistro and Bar offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor dining options. Overlooking the pier and Strand Street, this waterfront establishment features live music, trivia nights, karaoke, and a variety of seating areas to enjoy its specialties like smoked meats, flatbreads, fruity cocktails, tacos, and a creative small bites menu with vegan options.
We had one of our best light meals here with our baby service dog ( who was welcome) Thank You Attached are menues pictures of the side and outside. It's roomy , modern cool and relaxing and the price is right... We had the famous Lobster 🦞 dip, 5 tacos ( chicken, shrimp, impossible and beef). They were beautiful and favorable Two Painkillers and a glass of wine Street parking or directly across from the cruise Pier for boaters and cruiser ship guests It's upstairs so I wouldn't suggest it for people who can't climb stairs or need a wheel chair Beautiful views of the harbor with front deck setting and back deck Children would be welcome and would enjoy the food.
Live S — Google review
Saw a sign on the street for “lobster dip” and found our way up a staircase by the most beautiful bougainvillea. No dips whatsoever (they also have crab dip). Well that was disappointing. There was a limited menu. But we stayed for the $5 tacos, which in hindsight wasn’t the best idea. They were mostly onion tacos. The beef was the driest ground beef I’ve ever had. The shrimp was decent but again so overpowered by a mass of onions that the food was just sustenance. If you don’t get a balcony spot outside the indoor seating and atmosphere is dark and awkward. The server wasn’t helpful and had no inclination to be friendly. The hostess checked on us more than our server.
Stephanie H — Google review
Great local spot for lunch and drinks!! The lobster dip was amazing! We also had the Chicken sandwich and the steak and cheese. Great food and great service. Our waitress was the best we have had on the island so far! A must try if in the area.
MELISSA R — Google review
Awful experience. Went with family after excursion from cruise ship. Very disappointed. Went here because reviews were good. We're seated fairly quickly, but once seated ordered food then told most of the food ordered was unavailable. Literally the menu was very small to begin with. See photo. We ordered Mahi Mahi, but was not available, then ordered burger, was unavailable, then was told pulled pork wasn't available. Was also yold lobser dip was not available and wings weren't available. Then only menu items you could order were salads, fries or chips and salsa. We ordered drinks, which were delivered. Then we told the waitress, who failed to make eye contact several times that we wanted 3 orders of fries. I had to go up to her and ask for them. We never received any food. My husband ordered a peanut butter pie and was not given silver ware. He had to go to the bar to get a fork. They never brought our salad, but tried to charge us for the salad and a Mahi Mahi sandwich which we never received. The manager was a completely ridiculous. He ignored us and tried to make us pay for things we did not receive. DO NOT EAT HERE! They continued to seat patrons knowing they had no food to serve, yet offering menus to people.
Lilli S — Google review
My second time visiting and this time around I really enjoyed the atmosphere. New ownership so there's definitely some items that will evolve over time, but the tacos were great! Drinks were excellent...delicious Pina cold as! Can't wait to go back on an event night when I return on island! Definitely a place to look out for that's going to do great things with an updated local flair menu soon!
Liz — Google review
A little hard to find since you go through and alley and up a set of stairs from behind the building. Definitely worth the trek though. We had the blackened Mahi sandwich and the lobster dip. Both were excellent, that blackening had great flavor but wasn’t overpowering. The dip was absolutely amazing great flavor as well. Service was great, super friendly, just a great little place to hang out and enjoy the food and the atmosphere.

My wife and I were here on a cruise. I stopped in here for a beer and to buy a t shirt. Very friendly upstairs location. I didn’t look at the menu or try the food, but plenty of people were eating. There was karaoke running, but mostly music as no one was singing. Anyhow, I had a great cold beer and love my t shirt!

DISCLAIMER: We are a group of 5 traveling via a cruise line. St. Croix was one of our stops, and this restaurant was a few yards from the dock. We walked there, so I cannot provide insight on parking. We are from SC, and love to frequent tap houses and breweries/pubs. OVERVIEW: Server was nice and grill/cook was super cool, but food quality was super poor and NOT worth the price. This may be a beloved spot by locals for the view and maybe nighttime activities, but not as a tourist. If I lived nearby, I would not return. I'd like to note that it was not the price of the food that was the issue, but the quality that followed. I would not have minded paying $17 for nachos, had they been good. See photos for reference. Also, I don't know about the recent review that says the pool is free to play, but we were told that it's $5 per person. The drinks weren't bad and the waitress was nice, which saved the review. I am going to try and be as polite as possible in this review, as based on looking at past reviews, the person responding as the owner is quite defensive. We were greeted at our table almost immediately and handed paper menus, but never checked on again until we asked for help. While the waitress was nice, we waited nearly 10min for her to come over (again, not until one of us went to the bar and ASKED for help) and take our drinks. We are regular tourists so we understand the pricing of food, but typically it is met with quality. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The burger bun was so rock hard and stale that it had to be removed before eating. Absolutely NO changes could be made to the order (such as adding tomato or lettuce to the plain burger) and no sides could be ordered, according to our waitress. The chicken wrap had stale tortilla and extremely dry UNmarinated chicken. Luckily, the spicy mayo made it edible. The side pasta salad was interesting but not bad. The nachos were mostly crumbs and shredded cheese (see photo). The price for the beer flight wasn't bad, but the Soca Spiked Seltzer tasted like seltzer water. The chicken kabobs were actually pretty good, but not filling at all. The burger itself was cooked well, too, but the accompaniments were disappointing. This tells me that their grill cook was great at cooking, but maybe not the best replacement for the owner, who I learned was not even on the island. Another note: they allowed someone to bring their two dogs into the bar/restaurant, and while I don't necessarily mind pets like others might, I could see why this would upset others. PLEASE READ: While I understand that businesses came under hard times during COVID and may not have recovered, charging high prices for sub-par or disappointing food is not acceptable. I would happily pay $17 for a good plate of nachos, or the same price for a well made burger. This review is not a slight on your pricing, but your quality of ingredients. I also heard that someone, while we were dining, unfortunately ran out on their tab. Thats extremely sad to me, as I am always one to simply bite the bullet and count a meal as a loss, rather than complain or leave without paying (though a 20% forced gratuity, no matter the size of the party is ridiculous - especially if its added because your standard customers dont tip.) I will also update reviews if I return with a different experience.

Nestled among a vibrant selection of bars and eateries, Raw Sushi & Sake Bar stands out as a delightful culinary gem. Recently renovated, this cozy spot is back in action, offering an enticing menu that goes beyond sushi rolls to include tacos, bowls, and light bites. If you're looking for a budget-friendly dining experience, their happy hour from 5 to 6 pm is the perfect opportunity to enjoy delicious food alongside refreshing sake.
So ... Everything here is absolutely delicious. I'm vegetarian and I had the veggie tacos and the Rastamon Rolls paired with Lychee Saki. Avoid the creamy green flower at the edge of the plate unless you want to call the fire department! The drinks are strong and service was spectacular! Julia and the rest of the staff are so kind and attentive. I was really pleased with everything here overall - especially their tasty offerings 😁. Come here now!

I recently visited Raw Sushi, and overall, it was a good experience. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was friendly and attentive. The sushi was fresh, but I was a little disappointed with the rolls—they had very little fish compared to what I expected. While the flavors were still enjoyable, I would have preferred a better fish-to-rice ratio. That said, the presentation was beautiful, and the other dishes on the menu were well-prepared. I’d consider coming back, but I might opt for sashimi or other options next time.

My absolute favorite place for happy hour. Love love love the Rockin Tuna Tacos.
Dena J — Google review
This was a fabulous experience. To understand the level of kindness, you first need to know that we had just come from a day trip on the beach. We were not dressed up or anything. As a matter of fact, we looked pretty rough. Lol. So we are two people who like to try sushi from all over. If we visit a new place we will look for a good sushi bar. OK, my wife found this place called Raw Sushi and Sake Bar. So with our sun and salt water battered hair. Sun burnt skin and bathing suits, we walked into Raw (RSSB) We were greeted by the staff and asked where we would like to sit. We chose the sushi bar. As we looked over the menu, we told the staff that we were thankful they would let us dine there in our under dressed state. They assured us it was fine. We found all the sushi rolls they offer on the menu, and we're very impressed. As we struggled to decide on a roll for us both. We were curious which one the head chef and the waitress liked the best. Now we have all the information we need to really narrow it down. They all sounded so good we couldn't help but order 4 sushi rolls. Let me tell you that when they were done with our food and presented our dish to us, it was fabulous! The flavors that hit our pallet were abundant. From the presentation to the taste were perfectly done. The chef was friendly and helpful as the waitress as well. This is a much appreciated experience. Oh, and the spicy edamame was my wife's favorite. Give this place your time. They deserve it. From good-hearted people to good food. Amazing job, Raw Sushi and Sake Bar!!!
Brent D — Google review
We had dinner at Raw during a recent trip to St. Thomas. Our first impressions were good: nice staff, menu looked good, and they had a happy hour menu. However, we also saw that there were only 6 fish available, one of which was boiled shrimp (which we never eat). A pretty unimpressive line-up for a sushi bar. We started with the miso soup, RAWkin' tacos, and a red snapper maki roll. The soup was good, the tacos better (we added a 4th taco so we each had two). The tuna in the tacos was good, but the overall taco was just OK. The over abundant sauce drowned out the fish. That was the beginning of a trend for the evening. The red snapper maki roll was small (happy hour size) so no real bargain there. It was also our first taste of the rice used at the restaurant, not so good. That issue continued throughout the evening. We also started with a carafe of hot sake, which was tasty. We had several carafes throughout the evening! :-) We moved to the regular menu and ordered the hamachi carpaccio. The dish included the fresh hamachi, asian slaw, arugula, and sliced jalapeno. No sauce on this plate, so the fish was the star. Fresh and served at the right temperature. We ordered sashimi next: salmon, (more) hamachi, red snapper, and tuna. The fish was good, all tasted fresh. We moved on to specialty rolls next, and tried the Four Tuna and Don't Vessup rolls. Both rolls suffered from the rice deficiency noted above. The seemed old, a bit dried out, and simply not the quality one would expect at a top-notch sushi place. Both rolls also suffered from the over-abundance of spicy aioli sauce. Not sure why sushi places do that... the good ones don't. Service was OK, not great. The sushi chefs were responsive, but our waitress (who we think was new) was pretty slow. For the prices charged, we expected much better-quality food. Raw missed the mark on quality and available fish. With so many dining options in the area, we won't be back.
Jim N — Google review
The service was absolutely horrible! We waited for over 20 minutes just to get our ticket. The manager was very friendly and understanding when my husband ordered the wrong thing, but our server was short, unpersonable, and acted like we weren’t even there. Didn’t want to get us change for $100, she acted as if we were inconveniencing her. The sushi was decent, but because of the service I would not recommend this place to anyone. Super disappointing because I waited my whole trip to come here!

We met Nate (Sushi chef) at a small bar down the street from Raw and my husband and he talked a bit. We made a reservation for the next night, a Sat. Raw is a small well set up restaurant and very romantic . There’s only a few tables so make sure you make a reservation! We were sat down and Nate came over and welcomed us and sent over edamame that of course was yummy! We ordered street corn and it was fantastic. Make sure you get that. I like sushi but not a lover of it and had a sushi bowl of marinated steak tips and tempura shrimp, delicious. My husband got a few rolls and said it was the best sushi he’s ever had. Saki was excellent! We were completely full and we were sent over crispy tacos with tuna, never had that before, fantastic! Nate is gracious and welcomes everyone. Prices are great! 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Rebecca S — Google review
Wow! The chefs exceeded our expectations. We sat by the bar and ended with the chef’s omakase and wow! Everything was amazing and the only reason we stopped ordering was because we were full. Wether it is the perfectly seasoned smoky edamame, just sour enough hamachi carpaccio, the specialty rolls or nigiri - you will love it. Favorite roll was the surf and turf. Amazing restaurant!

Saki is a hidden gem! Their smoked salmon roll was hands down the best I’ve ever had, genuinely so good. The All-American roll was a bit overwhelming for my taste, but still well-made. The staff was kind, and the atmosphere was calm and inviting. Definitely a great spot for quality sushi and a relaxing dining experience!

Very nice restaurant!! The waitress was really nice and there was no wait to be seated! We had the Mexican roll, California roll, and the Tia volcano with chicken and rice! Very delicious!! Plenty of seating and parking!

Food was very good. Service was prompt and pleasant. However, be sure to check your bill carefully. Our waitress added a 15% tip to our bill without telling us. It was labeled ‘SC’.

Went here with my dad and I was very impressed! The fish was thick and delicious. I usually feel like tuna has a chemically aftertaste but the Tuna nigiri was amazing! The nigiri was massive, at least two bites a piece and honestly kinda worth the money. The rainbow roll was fantastic, there is nothing I would change about it (except maybe the price lol). My only issue was I thought the spicy mayo on the orange dragon roll was a little too spicy but that’s really subjective. The total ended up being around $86 before tip. 10/10 would go again, preferably if someone else is paying.

Delicious. We ordered all the raw specialty rolls, vegetable fried rice, egg roll, wonton & egg drop soup. Was not disappointed.

I love the Thai red curry and general tso chicken. I have been eating here since the day it opened, up until most recently September 2025.
Chivonne T — Google review
Man… talk about mediocre at best. The sushi rolls were okay but lacked flavor and were all extremely similar. The fried rice also had that issue… bland. Thai tea’s were seven dollars but were watery, even when ordered with light ice. The penang curry was not penang curry—it was unpleasantly sour, like something had spoiled; and had no flavors, just felt spicy (which is almost impressive, in a way). I have never sent something back to a kitchen, so that was a first. The service was awful. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant (which should have been our sign to turn around but I digress), and yet we constantly had to wait for our waitress to pay us any mind. When she did, she kept trying to run away. She did take the “penang” curry off our bill though, which was appreciated. Atmosphere was awful. No windows, tacky art, and the environment was extremely quiet. Unlike any of the other homey experiences we’ve had at other places in St Thomas. Would not recommend.

Reviewing two visits: on July 5, 2022, we placed an order for carry out and picked up two spicy California rolls and a spicy crab roll as well as pineapple fried rice and Singapore noodles. Everything was good and the bill came to $62.00. This was a good meal and cheap for USVI. On July 10, 2022 we stopped in for dinner with 5 people and ordered three dishes and a spicy crab roll as well as a soft drink and two Sapporo’s. The food was very good and we have no complaints. The bill was $87 which is really cheap compared to what we paid for dinner at most places in St Thomas,

Beauregard's on the Beach is a delightful spot that perfectly blends relaxation with culinary excellence. Nestled right by the shore, this charming restaurant boasts a chic yet casual vibe, featuring a thatched roof and elegant mahogany tables. Guests can unwind in an intimate atmosphere while sipping refreshing cocktails or enjoying delicious meals like sushi and tacos. The beachside service allows you to soak up the sun or find shade under palm trees as you indulge in their fantastic menu.
My wife and I came here for sushi and we were very pleased. The food was great, as well as the service and the views. If looking for that upscale quality, yet in a laid-back Caribbean environment, then I would definitely consider checking it out.

The setting is beautiful and the sushi is decent, but not the best I’ve ever had. Very friendly service. The poke bowls were tiny. A smallish sized roll for $24. Edemame $12… maybe this is the norm on the island?

Nice little hideaway beach and bar at Buccaneer. Great taco and sushi menu. I had the tofu tacos. Excellent!

We had an amazing time. We order sushi, they were super fresh. The time for the food took some time but the ambiance is so good that we just waited. I would definite love to come back! The view is out of this world as well.

Beautiful place for lunch or on Friday nights dinner. Great sushi, cocktails, and beautiful views especially at sunset. Friday nights at 7pm they had fire dancers. Love this beach front restaurant. We did not stay at The Buccaneer - just let the person at the guard house know which restaurant / bar you place to go to. Very welcoming of non guests.

Nice and comfy beach restaurant. Limited but good menu. Had a well prepared piece of tuna sushi and very nice crispy tofu taco. Right at a good spot on the golf course to sooth the pain of a bad round. It can make the last 4 holes a bit more of a challenge, but after a beverage your cares diminish.
Fran&Dan B — Google review
I ordered the ahi tuna tacos to go for the price of $15 and imagine my disbelief when I opened the content and there was only one taco… sooooo not worth the price
Adynah R — Google review
What could be better than a first rate meal on the beach? Have it all here! Just get from the beach (and a few yards from one of the golf course greens), order one of their great drinks - love the bushwacker and lime-in-da-coconut - and choose from a great menu of sushi, tacos, and some great appetizers. Tip: the wonderful chicken tenders are not just for kids! Fun fire dancers on limited Friday nights.

Virgin's Haven is a popular spot known for its good food and great entertainment, especially on Thursday evenings when the band plays 70's and 80's Soul, Calypso, and Reggae music. Visitors have praised the friendly staff, delicious food like jack cakes and wings, as well as the relaxed atmosphere. The location is convenient for cruise ship passengers looking for a place to enjoy ice-cold beer and snacks while still keeping an eye on their ship.
Great fresh food! Loved the vegetable mix, gonna try that at home!

Location. Location. Location. Definitely not as much fun as The Rum Hut and not as good a beer as Leatherback Brewing, but definitely the closest bar to the gangway at Havensight Cruise Terminal. Perfect spot for that (very) last-minute Carib before heading back to the boat.

Absolutely the coldest beer in town. This was great. It started raining as we got off the ship and this place is right at the end of the dock. Bartender was super friendly and the beer was super cold.

We made a quick stop at Virgin's Haven Bar and Restaurant before heading back to the cruise ship — and WOW, what an unexpectedly awesome experience! From the moment we stepped in, the vibe was just right. Both the staff and the customers were incredibly welcoming — it felt like we were instantly part of the crew. Laughter, smiles, and good energy all around. The drinks hit the spot, and the whole place had that fun, laid-back island feel. Honestly, one of the best stops we made all day. If you’re near the port, do not miss this place. We left smiling and already wanting to go back!

Wokame Island Sushi Bar & Restaurant is a new addition to the dining scene in Christiansted, located in the Caravelle Arcade. Chef Jamal Miranda brings his expertise to offer a diverse menu featuring sushi, local cuisine, and American dishes. Guests have praised the attentive service from staff members like Shonda and Grace, who enhance the dining experience.
WOKAME OH MOMMIE!! This gem hidden in a courtyard one block from the boardwalk is going to be a find your not going to forget! The menu is full of flavor combinations that will leave you wanting more and double check what you ordered. We started with the conch balls and lollypop lamb chops. Both dishes can be found on island but these are second to none. The lollypops come out on a sizzling platter in a demi-glace that is rich and smooth with the fresh mint leaves melting in the sizzling sauce. WHOSE Mother can I slap?? As if that’s not enough , the app size is 4 chops and not pencil thin so fill er up! Conch balls have nice large pieces of conch that are tender with a crunchy outside and an aioli that seals the deal. But wait, theres more! Entrees were rolls, we tempura’d both of them. One was the Mofongo roll special, just OUTSTANDING, asked how it tasted and mouth watering prevented description, plate was clean so he didn’t hate it. I had the Red Dragon with tempura shrimp, tuna, avacado, spring onion, cucumbers and spicy mayo. Want another one right now as I write this! This is a young Chef Jamal who puts out food with fresh, clean and exciting flavors and love & does it in the casual world of a St. Croix tropical courtyard. Wokame is highly recommended, enjoy your eating experience with these talented people who are putting themselves into your dining experience and it WORKS!!

I never write a review, but me and my wife waited about 1.5hrs for our food, which I can deal with, but on top of that, we got one roll. Waited 10-15 minutes, got my food, and then we had to ask for our other roll to be boxed up because we would've been there for 2hrs. The lemonade was a bunch of limes in what looked like a empty simply lemonade container. And I got charged $8 for that cause I got a refill. Then the total bill was $114. I can name about a million other things I'd rather spend $114 on. I get that we chose the items but still, this place was not even close to being worth that cost. Our waitress was really nice though. Do not recommend otherwise.

The first time that I visited this restaurant was last year for my birthday and while we called ahead and made a reservation and arrived on time for that reservation our table was not ready, and they had to squeeze two tables together to accommodate us. Fine. After ordering, when we arrived a bit after 7, We did not receive our food until almost 9pm. Fast forward to today 7-9-25, my friend and I ordered lunch and specifically asked that our rolls not be tempura, they were anyway, when we called to get some sort of solution to rectify the order we were told very rudely by one of the employees that we would need to bring the incorrect roll back and PAY for ANOTHER roll, she proceeded to tell us that we should be more specific about what we wanted next time (although we were). She was very rude and unprofessional and quite combative on the phone. Chef Jamal is quite talented and hopefully he can meet with his staff and have them do more de-escalation training as it pertains to dealing with patrons, this experience unfortunately after my first experience dining in made it worst, and although it may not make a difference in revenue as a local it is quite disheartening!
Courtney J — Google review
Amazing experience for my wife and I! Chef Jamal and his staff made us feel like we were VIPs. We enjoyed the vegetarian miso soup to start. The freshest vegetables and delicious miso with ginger was epic! The rolls that we had were off of the special board and were amazing - the tiger roll and the crab avacado roll. Excellent experience especially the beautiful and professional server Miss Edeyshalis! Thank you all for a great experience, we will definitely be back.

The chef is great at cooking, the staff needs to get better and work on their attitudes. But the prices are ridiculously high, $35 for lunch, for one person, makes this place a once in a lifetime stop for me. I couldn’t afford to be a regular there.

Umami Sushi STX is a popular spot for sushi lovers, offering a variety of rolls and fresh salads. The 101 roll with crunchies and the firefly roll are highly recommended for their delicious flavors. The seaweed salad is also a refreshing choice. While the prices may be on the higher side, the friendly staff and satisfying meals make it worth an occasional treat.
I love this place. The sushi here is so fresh. Not the cheapest but definitely reasonable, and probably the best I've had for the price point. The poke bowls are on the small side in terms of serving for the price but the rolls are so good and more generous in my opinion. They also sometimes have "poke crisps" as specials, which are effectively sushi nachos, and I would die for them. So delicious. Their specials are always fantastic (like the oysters!!) and they also have amazing desserts.

My husband Cliff and I just got the lunch combos: salmon/avocado and seaweed salad, and tuna roll and seaweed salad - it came with literally 3 mouthfuls of seaweed salad! See pics. Not what we expected for $20 each and we are very disappointed.

Nice portions. sushi has always been fresh , quite a few veggie head options on the menue !. Specials are creative and enticing. The counter girl Ashley is pleasant and attentive. It's a clean resteraunt and the food is good, fresh and comes fast. I do recommend.

Excellent option for a quick bite. Location was easy to find, parking was available, service was great. The ladies greeted us as soon as we walked in. I ordered the Umami Salad with a bottle of chilled sake to pair. Decent portion, fresh ingredients and very colorful. The ginger dressing paired with a little soy sauce took the flavors to another level. Nice balance of textures as well. Food came fairly quick, discounts were available immediately after our purchase. Hold on to those receipts so you can get a few dollars off your next purchase. Looking forward to trying other menu items in the near future.
Joia W — Google review
Unfortunately the only veggie option is the Greta Roll (pictured) carrots, arugula, red peppers, mango, cucumber and scallions. So you can only eat it so many times before you get tired of it but it is delicious! I usually take a month or so break before I go back. I do eat fish but tempura is not an option and I gave up raw sushi years ago. All that aside, the service is always good and sushi never disappoints!
Shanoi S — Google review
Best sushi on the island hands down! I eat here all the time, and the ingredients are always fresh, and everything is made with intention. Their prices are always reasonable considering the cost of fresh, HIGH QUALITY fish is higher than most people realize. Umami definitely focuses on the quality of their fish. The staff is always super friendly and can make great suggestions if you're not sure what you should get. My favorite is being able to build your own roll...get creative!! The restaurant is super clean, with a great vibe and they always have fun music playing! I also highly suggest their live music nights...great local talent!

Rum And Wine Bar Restaurant, also known as R.A.W., offers an extensive alcohol menu with a focus on rum and wine. The food menu is concise but delivers delicious dishes such as smoked trio of wahoo/salmon/tuna and entrees like grouper over risotto and spinach. The ambiance is great, with an intimate setting and an extensive rum list from the Caribbean. The bartender is highly praised for going above and beyond in customer service.
My bartender/server Victor tonight provided excellent, polite service. The sushi is the best on the island despite a limited selection. Definitely will continue being a repeat customer.

R.A.W. rum and wine bar/restaurant. Food is eclectic and excellent. We had an appetizer of smoked trio of wahoo/salmon/tuna. Entree was grouper over risotto and spinach. Also Asian noodle with peanut sauce, pork and pickled veggies. All delicious. Great ambiance with an extensive rum list from all over the Caribbean. Drinks are pricey and short. One of the best restaurants on Stx.

We only went here to get something light and have some drinks. It was nice that they were able to cater to us for a lighter bite as well. The other meals looked amazing though, presentation was on point. Staff was very pleasant.
St. T — Google review
With a menu containing three pages of alcohol and only one page of food, which still finds a few special drinks taking up real estate on the page, the tight food menu must deliver. And it does! At our table we tried a variety of food from steak to shrimp, land to sea, feels like we aimed to try half the menu the first time. On special was a smoked Old Fashioned with rum. Every word in that name made me want to try it, so I did. And it was amazing. Setting the tone for delicious dish after dish. Food is well prepared and presented and has the complex blends of flavor to match. There is a special experience to be had at R.A.W. and I would say “it isn’t on the menu” but it really is. In that limited food page menu of drinks is Keke’s Delight. But the surprise with it was that our charming server was herself Keke. Responsible for the delicious desert drink, the incredible smoked rum old-fashioned, as well as a large portion of the menu! Keke, if you are out there, somebody owes somebody a spanking and at this point I don’t know who. Thanks for great food, great service, and a really fun night. I only managed two photos, the first are chickens roosting in a tree in the beautiful alley the restaurant is located in, which entertained us while we waited for them to open. And of the smoke rum old fashioned, which, other than Keke, will be why I come back.

👏👏👏Yes, Yes and Yes!! 2nd trip to the island and restaurant this year, and it is as incredible as we remember! Delicious, fresh, reasonably priced food, great service by Chelsea, beautiful presentation, and picturesque atmosphere.Great experience all around. We choose the Truffle Butter Edamame to start off the meal. It was incredible!! BOBBY ROD ROLL (tempura shrimp, scallion cream cheese, japanese mayo, avocado), STORM ROLL (tempura shrimp, japanese mayo, avocado, fresh tuna, six spicy & sweet sauces, topped with storm salad), and the SHAGGY DOG ROLL ( lobster, scallion cream cheese, garlic infused mayo, avocado, wrapped in crab, drizzled with bourbon street sauce, and scallions). For dessert, the TEMPURA DOUGHNUT with ESPRESSO ICE CREAM. We would order those exact options time and time again! Sooo delicious! Total Bill was $76 before tip. Best Sushi and restaurant out of all we tried on the Island. Everything was impeccable!

We slipped in just to take a look at the menu and were delightfully surprised that they have a vegan section on their menu!! 👏🏽👏🏽 They were able to fit us in for a nice late afternoon (3:30 pm) lunch/dinner. Our service was very good and the waitress was so attentive that she noticed we had ordered miso soup and explained that it had some fish base ( one of us is vegetarian and one person is vegan) so it was very helpful. Food tasted amazing and the presentation was impeccable. We ordered Tempura asparagus and two different vegan rolls. I highly recommend. The bill was reasonable $50 for two people. What a lovely view, atmosphere and experience.
DandeLyon — Google review
The fish itself was great. But I guess they were out of cream cheese. Wish they would have just let us know so we could pick things that didn't have cream cheese in it. Crab rangoos was literally just a slice of whole fake crab wrapped in a shell. Not mixed with anything. 3 rolls were supposed to have cream cheese but didn't. One roll we even asked for cream cheese added so they charged for the add in without actually adding it. Key lime cheesecake things had no cheesecake, just lime sauce, and didn't come with the sides either. Several of the rolls were different than the description. Nothing tasted horrible but when spending $100 on something you'd expect at least honestly or for it to be made correctly.
Ash S — Google review
