Gladys Café is a hidden gem located in the bustling tourist area of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. Tucked away in the Royal Dane Mall, this charming eatery offers refined Caribbean specialties within 18th-century native stone walls. Guests can savor dishes like conch fritters, jerk fish, and avocado stuffed with lobster salad while enjoying Gladys' homemade hot sauce and occasional impromptu singing performances.
Excellent service, the stewed chicken was THE best. coconut rum cake is so good. We sat at the bar and somehow our banana Bailey's colada kept getting topped off!

Gladys’ Cafe is a cozy, family-owned spot tucked off Main Street. We stopped in for a quick breakfast while waiting for nearby stores to open. I had the 2-egg breakfast plate along with a Bahama Mama—simple, tasty, and reasonably priced. The next day, we originally planned to try a different restaurant, but it was closed—so back to Gladys’ we went. This time, I ordered the Oxtail Special. It was definitely good, but at $36 (as you’ll see in the photo below), it felt a bit overpriced. Overall, the food and atmosphere were enjoyable. It’s a great local option in a central location. Will I be back? Yes good food, solid vibes.
SAJ U — Google review
Gladys’ is our go-to breakfast spot whenever we’re in the VI! Unfortunately, we missed breakfast this time (island time got us 😅), but the food was still absolutely delicious. The only small letdown was the “spicy wings” — they were well-seasoned but definitely milder than expected. I was hoping for a real kick, but they seemed more tailored to the American palate. That said, everything else we ordered was fantastic. It always feels like an adventure heading into Gladys — the walkway lined with lush plants is just beautiful and sets the perfect island vibe. Still one of our favorite spots on the island!
Maurissa D — Google review
Cute spot and opened on Sundays! Waitress wasn’t too familiar with the menu or food but he was great and had a positive attitude. Food came quick. I ordered the Cesar salad and it was delicious! The soups were blah. Had better and this taste canned. Coffee wasn’t good either.
Cya V — Google review
Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews until after my experience at the restaurant. I must say that the path leading to the restaurant is beautiful, absolutely picturesque. Seeing the atmosphere and walking through the alleyway on Sunday morning, I had high hopes for brunch at Gladys'. Yet, my hopes were quickly dashed due to the long wait for order taking, extremely rude Server, and nonexistent customer service. The server notified us that they were short staffed and she was performing multiple job responsibilities. She told us to hurry up and order and looked annoyed when we asked questions about the menu options. She asked us to be patient about the wait, but had no patience whatsoever for us. When our drinks were brought to the table, she informed us that one person's order wasn't available-no cranberry juice. We still felt the disregard and disrespect from earlier and decided to pay for our drinks, cancel our food order and leave. It's a shame they have someone so mean, rude and severely lacking in proper etiquette to represent this restaurant. I hope the owner reads this or someone who cares about that business reads it so they can make a positive change. The offender is near the beverage machine wearing all black clothes and pink crocs. I don't pay people to treat me poorly and we quickly left and went to Indigo 4 for a fantastic brunch and excellent customer service with a smile .
Rose M — Google review
I was so excited to try Glady's Cafe but it was not what I expected after the hype. The protein (curry chicken and steak) were good. The other items on our plate was just ok.. the sides lacked flavor.I wouldn't say it was the best I've ever had. The service was ordinary as was the atmosphere.
Sherika S — Google review
The food was not worth it. Minimal seasoning and taste. I’ve had better curry and oxtails in the states. They closed at 3:30pm and we were waiting on our ride which came at 3:32 and they kicked us out and the lady was very mean and nonchalant about it. I would not recommend this place and for $36 I’m extremely disappointed in the oxtails. The curry goat did not taste authentic… everything was an extreme disappointment.
Kha'Breah R — Google review
Location and atmosphere are island in this cool, brick building. We had conch fritters, jerked chicken wings, stewed chicken, curry chicken, oxtail special, plantains, mahi mahi sandwich. We also sampled a few cocktails that were ok: pina colada, painkiller, and banana bailey coconut.

Restaurant
Cruz Bay Landing is a restaurant and bar located in the heart of Cruz Bay, St. John. It offers a quiet and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a meal, with popular dishes like seared scallops and Mahi Mahi. The establishment overlooks Cruz Bay and provides a great spot to savor the beauty of St. John while indulging in American and Caribbean cuisine. With its diverse menu, it's an ideal place for breakfast or any other meal of the day.
We were three weary travelers from the Upper West Side NYC who landed at Cruz Bay Landing, tired, and hungry. We had outstanding service, fantastic food, and they even made a special meal for our son. You can’t beat this atmosphere, and if you love wild birds, this is your place! The dishes were delicious, and the frozen drinks are so incredible. Hats off to the chef! Wonderful service, friendly staff, and we will definitely go back again. Thank you so much!
Kevin F — Google review
Really cool little stop while in St. John. Ordered the Asian Tuna Salad for me and Bacon Cheeseburger with fries for my partner. The tuna steak was really delicious, the salad part needed some spunk to it so I requested an extra dressing and the addition of Feta cheese and it made all the difference! Would definitely suggest the salad with the additions. Very generous portion. The burger was also a great portion. It was ordered to be cooked medium and came out more medium well, so suggestion would be a medium rare if you like a more tender burger! Staff was very nice but it was definitely understaffed. We waited 15 minutes after being seated just to be addressed as there was one bartender and only one server noticeable on a Saturday at 4:30. We did see another couple leave that was there prior to us arriving and was waiting to be served also so might just need some fine-tuning as far as having enough staff available. The atmosphere was nice. Restaurant also sells clothing and has a store attached. I would certainly return and possibly try other items off the menu. Enjoyed eating on the patio!

A quaint little place to grab breakfast before hitting the beach. Outdoor tables and chicks to feed. Always quick and a great coffee selection. Ate here two days in a row.

This is a review for the venue and coffee shop and bar only. We did not eat here! The coffee shop was nice, all the basics plus coffees with Carib flair. Staff in shop and at bar were terrific… friendly, fun, personable and fast! The outdoor bar is nice size and comfortable. Drink was small, but good! Nice outdoor seating area. Little park with local vendors selling souvenirs adjacent to dining area…. Good place to stop for a morning coffee and/or cocktail on St. John!

While visiting St John, I came here for lunch and dinner. That's how good it was. Just really good food in great ambiance. Right?I recommend coming here for dinner So you can watch a beautiful sunset while you eat. Everything we had was great and the service was awesome. Can get a little hot but they have fans to try and make your experience more pleasant.

Hands down, the best place for breakfast on St. John's. I'm not even going to entertain another option. We took a taxi here everyday for breakfast from the Westin. They didn't disappoint at all. I hate I can't remember my waitress's name because she was nothing short of awesome. Ask about food, she answered. Ask about entertainment, she knew. As about souvenirs, she directs you. Ask about a hike, she details them for you. Each day, she was helpful. A Cruz Bay gem. Everything she suggested, we did. Ok back to the food. Amazing! The 1st day I ordered the Short stack pancakes 🥞 Never again. 2 of the biggest pancakes ever. I didn't even eat dinner because I was still full. From that point on, I ordered a single pancake 🥞 😋 So good. So fluffy. The bacon 🥓 is top tier. Very thick and fried to perfection 👌🏽 The home fries are seasoned just right. Not spicy was let's you know it's a member of the spice family. My husband floated between the classic breakfast and the meat lovers omelette 😋 Both were great! Ummmm, long story short; EAT HERE
Van — Google review
I didn’t personally care for the fish, but the portions were good. There was live music. My wife would want me to be kind, so Ill say that the live music inspired me to pursue my dreams. If that person was being paid money to do, um, That… then how can I ever tell myself that Im not good enough to do something. It’s possible it transcended sound and impacted my taste buds, and if so, my apologies to the chef for the 4-stars instead of 5.

We’ve been here a couple of times for breakfast. Always good food and the service is fantastic. Great atmosphere, especially at the bar or tables on the patio.

High Tide is a restaurant located in Cruz Bay, St. John's, situated in the Warfside Shopping area and near Slim Jim's parking. It offers a casual dining experience right by Cruz Bay Beach, serving a variety of dishes from hamburgers and mahimahi sandwiches to surf and turf and Caribbean lobster. The restaurant is known for its happy hour with options like Painkiller cocktails while enjoying sunset views over the bay.
We loved sitting at the Hight Tide happy hour after coming back from the beach. They do a great happy hour, strong $5 run punches, and the view is unbeatable. We sat right on the beach until it was time for dinner. We ate a few times here too. The fish and chips on the lunch menu…delicious!!! Perfect texture, super moist, and a decent portion. The dinner food was a little pricey and not my favorite on the island, but I would definitely eat here again if I return to St.John!
Chloe S — Google review
We came here for the conch fritters, and they did not disappoint. Every single dish was phenomenal. The service was great and the views of the sunset were incredible. I would recommend this place to anyone if you want the island vive, this is the place to be!!!. We loved our drinks and if you are visiting St. JOHN make it a point to stop in and enjoy the island vibe.

Have to write this one consistent with the general online historical rating… 4a-stars …. A typical bae g bar and tropical location with a vibrant bar scene, good drinks, and decent food. We rolled in on a weekday early afternoon, looking for a late lunch and a cocktail. The staff was friendly, we received everything ordered quickly! A champagne, Apperal spritz, and a piña colada, set up the lunch… We followed with the mahi-mahi fish tacos, which were delicious. The onion rings on the side were piping hot and terrific. Service was good, and everyone there was having a good time. Nothing fancy, nothing gourmet, just decent beach side grub, worth a stop in if you’re looking for good drinks and a decent beach bar scene and a good bite to eat.

This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. We stopped over for breakfast and the beach view next to our table was exactly what I expected. Service was great, and my traditional American breakfast was perfect! ⛵️🏝️🥐🍳🥓🥞🍹

Tried the conch fritters, fish tacos, and amazing view. Prices for the items were very reasonable. I loved the atmosphere and everyone was so very friendly! I didn’t want to leave. 😊

Great ocean front views. Blackened Mahi mahi with coconut rice and vegetables was great. Also the spicy seafood pasta was delicious. Highly suggest getting the high tide drink and coconut lime slushy. Our server was not the most attentive but she wasn’t bad. We didn’t make reservations and only had to wait 10min for a table. Also came back here the day after to get more drinks at the bar since they were so good.
Tara — Google review
Our party of 4 came in for snacks after the day at the beach. We opted for nachos (upcharge for beans and jalapenos), wings, and 4 salads, 2 wedges, and 2 caesars (we added grilled protein to all of them). A good experience, great view of the bay as the sun was coming down. I'd recommend this establishment. They do auto grat, which was interesting but apparently standard.
Steve M — Google review
Sat right on the beach for brunch! Peaceful ambiance even though it was a little rainy - umbrella that staff set up shielded us pretty well. Delicious customizable mimosas. I got the omelet with a biscuit - both good! I will say I’m not sure there was any steak in my Philly cheesesteak omelet. Other than that, great restaurant.

Located on the waterfront at the Caravelle Hotel in Christiansted, Rum Runners is a popular restaurant known for its delicious food and fun atmosphere. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes made from locally sourced ingredients, including vegan lentil balls with passion fruit dipping sauce and papaya lemonade. For those looking to indulge, Rum Runners serves up conch fritters and rum cake doused with local Cruzan Rum.
Excellent little spot right on the boardwalk. View was great, right on the water. Nice chill vibe with music (but not too loud - you could definitely hear each other). A little crab walked by our table. Umbrella tables have a little light to help illuminate the table. Standard menu, but they have daily specials. Drink menu was extensive and well rounded. They have multiple desserts as well. I got the daily Catch - pan seared Mahi with lemon caper sauce - it was phenomenal! The family got shrimp & crab spaghetti, fish tacos, and fish & chips. All were great. We also got dessert - rum cake and twisted pecan pie - also phenomenal!

I would recommend this restaurant for dining. The food was good and the service was also good. The staff is friendly. Breakfast ends pretty early (10:00) so get there early. The pancakes are delicious and I also enjoyed the seafood pasta special for dinner. My husband and I visited a few times during our stay. They also have very good chocolate cake if you’re in the mood for a desert. The view and overall atmosphere is amazing.

Busy restaurant on the boardwalk in downtown Christiansted. For was good. Wasn't expecting fish tacos on a hard shell, but they were still good.
Michael W — Google review
Food and service were amazing and friendly. The view is beautiful. We had the Buffalo Chicken Salad special and the fish tacos. Can't not recommend the Rum Cake enough. It's as thick as a brick and tast amazing!
Chris J — Google review
This place has a great location and was gorgeous at sunset. They have a kids menu which was a plus. We wanted the dinner rolls but they were waiting on bread to rise still so we couldn’t get those. The chicken wings were good. Calamari was average. We ordered a variety of food off the menu and everyone was satisfied but not blown away. Portions were pretty good. Price is expensive for what it is. They were busy while we were there and best we could tell they only have two servers. Nice thing was bartender and another member of the staff were helping so the waits weren’t bad at all for ordering, drinks, or food. When we were leaving the server spilled a drink on me. I probably should’ve been offered some form of compensation for that but wasn’t.
Anthony M — Google review
my husband and i came here on our honeymoon and had a lovely dinner! eric, our server, provided us with excellent service. he was knowledgeable about the menu and specials, and created a warm and friendly atmosphere for us. we sat and chatted with him for a while and got some great recommendations for island activities as well. the food and drinks were delicious and we will definitely return here on our next visit to the island!
Hannah T — Google review
The atmosphere is amazing right on the boardwalk/pier. The Food was at best Average but definitely nothing to write home about. Our server Ben was super fast and extremely knowledgeable on everything. Wouldn’t go out of my way but for a night or drink at a present location this is a great spot.one big down side is they don’t start serving dinner until 5:30.
CSM M — Google review
A dive bar find. Extremely low expectations that were blown away. The WVA server was really prompt and made great recommendations. An Indian type onion app was delicious!! The fresh tuna with cream sauce was amazing. The tuna was incredibly fresh and cooked perfectly. The vegan gnocchi was chock full of vegetables really well prepared. The crème brûlée cheesecake was a nice touch. Definitely worth going.

Polly's At the Pier is a popular American cafe located in St. Croix, known for its delicious waffles and seaside terrace. It is one of the top-rated places to eat on the island, offering a beautiful open-air dining experience with a view of the waterfront. The restaurant is highly recommended by locals and visitors alike for its great food and charming ambiance. If you're looking for a delightful dining spot in Frederiksted, Polly's At the Pier should definitely be on your list.
This place gives you the island vibe. Right on the water GREAT food, AWESOME employees, and the perfect atmosphere. Ate here multiple times over the week we stayed. Girlfriend could live off the iced coffee. Loved the breakfast burrito and bacon egg and cheese. Fish sandwich had some of the best slaw on it also the chicken sandwich is enough for two. Coming back next year and will eat here every day.

This place is absolutely amazing. Across from the beach, it's the perfect location for starting your day, or for taking a break in the middle of your day. The service was super friendly, and the food is wonderful. They have GF bread & bagels, as well as tofu for an egg substitute, if you're looking for one. The coffee is the best on the island! You can grab a coffee or some ice cream (or why not both??), then cross the street to enjoy it in front of the beautiful blue Caribbean waters. Polly's is perfect!

Great little spot by the pier. Large selection of food; breakfast is served all day. Ice cream, smoothies, drinks. Large indoor space and an interior open air patio. Right on the water. We got the Caribbean Jerk Wrap, Biscuits & Gravy, and Grilled Chicken Quesadilla. All were excellent. Service was great. Good spot for lunch.

I went to Polly's at the Pier when Iwo Jima was docked in Fredricksted. This was not my first time here, but it will probably be the last. I went in around 2:00pm on a Friday and ordered a cheese quesadilla. It was busy, but not packed. I was told it may be a bit since orders were ahead. I get it 100% I've worked in the industry. After about 20ish minutes I asked how it was going with my order as the place was emptying out. The owner, I'm assuming, went to check and then told me they were working on it now. After another 15 minutes I asked her again. She went back and told me the same thing. One of the workers came up to me and asked what I was waiting on. I told her a cheese quesadilla and it has now been 45 minutes. She came back and told me the exact same thing. I immediately asked for a refund and the owner then brought it out. She asked if I still wanted the refund or the quesadilla. I took the quesadilla and left. Now, I am not one to normally complain; however, this was worse than a quesadilla I could've made at home. The cheese didn't even cover the quesadilla and so flat. I'm disgusted I paid $13 for this PLUS waited for 45 minutes. **The last picture was from November of last year, 2024.

Food was AMAZING! Service was even better! Always friendly, helpful and outright fun. Gotta try the specials and don't skip out on their fresh juices and lemonades. I'll be back soon for a cocktail!
Colt B — Google review
The food is excellent. We went twice during our stay at Cane Bay. My husband recommends the hibiscus iced tea and I love the black tea. Our first meal was so yummy and just as we had remembered . Our second meal was a train wreck. We had to wait for an extended period of time while the manager and the chef were having loud arguments in the kitchen. She came and yelled for minutes on end. I felt uncomfortable and felt sorry for the chef. The manager needs to learn how to manage. Just saying.. in the end after the dust settled our food was good but didn’t go down as easy under normal circumstances .
Beth G — Google review
We got new owners @ Polly’s and they are REALLY ramping things up w fresh homemade local foods and juices. The salsa’s fresh, the pico’s fresh, the guac is fresh, the berry lemonades, hot sauce! (Don’t get me started on the hot sauce.) … the list goes on and on. ¡I mean, come on, look @ this tofu sandwich! It’s the little things … I think … NO, I know Polly’s is going to be a fabulous eatery icon of Frederiksted in no time …. just like ITAL In Paradise is to Christiansted. We know you’ll do great and F’sted will LOVE you. ¡Good luck Chris and Ariela … We’re proud of you and your new staff!

My assumption is their profit is mainly gained through tourism. Ordering breakfast over the phone for pickup at 7:08 went for pickup at 7:15 ( as a government employee I started 8:00 a.m.) and then being late to work because no one's paying attention behind the counter when my order came out. 20+ mins I was late to work when I had plenty of time. It's a shame to have a great menu great breakfast menu friendly atmosphere great attitude but the overall service is bonk! Just like most of the businesses here for the locals but for the Tourists. And for clarity: there was two other people in the restaurant only. It was not busy, cruise ship they had not started. Literally no excuse for that wait time especially my food was sitting right there 🙄

The Deep End Bar & Grill is a popular poolside restaurant located at Tamarind Reef Resort, offering a diverse menu including salads, burgers, sandwiches, seafood, and pasta dishes. The venue hosts various events such as disco bingo on Thursdays, West Indian Carnival on Fridays, Sunday brunches, and live music on weekends.
Great breeze with a beautiful view of the ocean and their pool. Our server was so polite and also doubled as the bartender. Such a peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was tasty, I mean it’s breakfast
Joy C — Google review
The buffet was horrible, and our tablecloth was mold while their google picture of the restaurant looked clean and inviting. The buffet had plain salad, four different types of pasta that were terrible, plain white rice, fried potato slices, terrible fried catfish, dried out chicken curry on a stick that was like jerky and wouldn’t come off, mussels I didn’t have the courage to eat, and dried out turkey on a Buscetta toast. One of the pastas may have had a few tiny bits of beef in it. The buffet was guarded by about 4 workers who dished out the slop painfully slow while acting like they were serving lobster and filet steak. It must have taken 30 minutes to get through the line while using the one paper plate they gave me at the table. The show turned out to be good, but definitely no worth the hideous buffet experience and $40 per person bill with 20 percent added gratuity.

One of the the better restaurant / bar that I have been to in some time. The drinks were very tasty & have plenty of alcohol especially the pain killer plus they have some really fancy drinks I never got around to trying. The restaurant is aways from town & is the only place you can eat at if you’re staying at the Tamerind Reef Hotel unless you drive into Christiansted & it was surprisingly very good. The service was also really good though I saw some off islanders that didn’t think it was fast enough for them, they must have been from a big city. Every server & bartender gave great service & everyone was very nice & easy to talk with. I have to point out Maggie & Nesha, two of the Waitresses who were tremendous & the bartender Richard though everyone was great. I was actually surprised how really good the food was & I was there for ten days & had everything on the menu for all three meals plus all the great specials. I have been to many restaurant/bars on the beach yet not with the good food this place has. It is extremely popular & the locals come from all over the island to eat, drink & enjoy the great live music & really fun events they have every night like Disco Bingo & dance lessons among other fun stuff. You also can’t beat the huge pool which is center stage plus the sunsets are incredible & the beach is on the other side of the pool. If you’re ever in St. Croix stop by this place & enjoy the great food, drink, socializing & staff. I am looking forward to going back. Remember to always tip generously, servers have a very hard job & the pay is not great, they depend on your generosity for the job they do.

This place was a joy to discover. The cocktails were pretty good, and the atmosphere was beach bar casual. But what set it apart, was the friendly staff (Jillian) that went the extra mile.

Weathered a bit, laid back casual atmosphere. What matters is the food and service were excellent... Fish tacos were the BEST! There's a marina behind the restaurant and we enjoyed sitting in some loungers under trees on the shoreline afterwards... very pretty!

Called ahead to ask if they had live music and were very happy to discover they had an amazing duet playing that night. Both our Hostess and our waitress were amazing! We didn't eat but enjoyed drinks and live music. Great place!

The perfect big breakfast spot before a big dive. Amazing everything!!! Coffee drinks are the best on the island offering everything from Vietnamese iced coffee to coffee coladas

We had a delicious breakfast here! The iced Vietnamese coffee was so so good. Nice staff too:) The pancakes were just one large pancake. Pic is of the most delicious French toast ever!

Impressive breakfast on island time. Lots of locals seem to start their day here, which is a good sign. Had rum cake french toast grilled to a crispy outside with a soft center, along with a side of two eggs, scrambled soft perfectly. A solid breakfast treat worth repeating.

My husband and I both had the American breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, and the hash brown casserole — everything was really tasty! We enjoyed our coffee with half & half, and the service was very friendly and attentive. Prices were moderate — we paid $55 together for a very satisfying breakfast. Overall, Toast Diner is a great spot to start your morning — cozy, delicious, and welcoming! ☕🍳🥓

If you're looking for a delightful dining experience in St. Thomas, Bleuwater at The Ritz-Carlton is a must-visit. Start your day with an enticing breakfast menu that offers both à la carte options and a lavish buffet filled with fresh fruits, pastries, and even a chef-attended omelet station. For those who enjoy outdoor dining, be sure to request one of the limited tables outside to fully appreciate the ambiance while savoring delicious dishes like their renowned passion fruit mimosa.
Best meal we had on the island. There were a few local places that were great too but this dinner was amazing. You have to eat outside though. Make sure you request outside table there's only 4. If you're inside it's a different experience.

Food was way overpriced. The bulgogi was too spicy and didn't have good flavor ($65). The shrimp pad thai terrible, egg noodles and bad brown sauce ($44). The other noodle dish was bland ($$$), my son ended up eating my bowl of white rice instead. Definitely not worth the price and at any price it was not very good. There are many other good options on St. Thomas, stay away from this place.

Ate here several times in August 2022 while staying at the Ritz Carlton. The Dutch Pot at breakfast was a stand out while ordering off the menu and the buffet has a bunch of options. Where this place really shines though is their dinner menu. The duck in particular was fabulous, but the whole dining experience was lovely. And the live music they had Thursday night was an excellent cap to our evening. Absolutely sit on the patio if you can. At least in the off-season we also never needed reservations.

Twin City Coffee House and Gallery, situated on Company Street in Christiansted, is a charming café that prides itself on serving the finest quality coffee beans sourced from around the world. The menu features a variety of healthy and hearty breakfast and lunch options made with locally-sourced organic fruits and vegetables. Guests can enjoy their meals at covered sidewalk seating or find peace and privacy in the courtyard. This locally-owned gem offers an array of delicious breakfast choices as well as seasonal favorites.
Great egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Good iced coffee and hot chocolate as well! Great spot to enjoy breakfast with a quiet and shaded seating area.

Food here was delicious. A little pricier than other cafes nearby. Street chickens come at you with a vengeance 🤣. Nice outdoor seating. Very strict policy of only 2 people inside cafe, at a time. Coffee was very good.
Saloni T — Google review
Twin City Coffee House and Gallery is one of the best cafés you can experience in the Christiansted downtown area. This locally-owned & operated gem of a coffeehouse has so much going for it! Their menu is always filled with delicious breakfast options and even seasonal favorites! Located on Company St , next to the corner with Sonya’s Jewelry, this café is right off the road and you can easily drive by it. You can see their sign from the street. Twin City Coffeehouse has a quaint patio area in front with group seating and only a limited amount of space inside. To order, walk-in, see their menu board and place your order with the kind & attentive local staff. Make sure to say “G’mawnin” or “G’afternoon” when you enter! 😊 Truly great service that is knowledgeable (so pick their brains about anything on island). Their menu has a plethora of goodies from: bagels, sandwiches, fruit bowls, oatmeal, salads, pancakes, wraps, burritos, omelettes and French toast. There’s also seasonal renditions of cultural flavors integrated into the menu like their coquito french toast! Not to mention your favorite coffee blends, one of which a scrumptious coquito latté! I REALLY love this café and its only downside is the limited seating space. In the past, there was a lovely quaint patio in the rear which was perfect for coffee dates away from others. But as I understand it, they had to place an alternative power generator back there due to the frequent power outages. Good for them! Businesses need to adapt to the islands faults. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend the Twin City Coffee House & Gallery when in Christiansted town.

Trey prepared a personal 5 course meal in our vacation home while in St. Croix and it was amazing! The attention he gave to guests with special requests made the delicious meal even better. Every course outdid the previous course. I have never had a better salad, the crab cakes were perfect, the steak rosettes were perfectly cooked, the scallops melted in your mouth and the mahi and asparagus were truly mouth watering. Today is 4/16/25 and the lady that took my order over the phone was not pleasant even worse in person to pick up my order. She got my order wrong by giving me a wrong size drink. I paid for a large matcha and was given a medium and all she did was add extra milk to fill up the large. My Frappe was loose n watery. And it tasted bad. This is the first time coming here for years and I have never had such a bad experience. I don’t know if this place is under new management now but some training on customer service and professionalism needs to be had immediately or they will lose more long time regular customers such as myself. My fries was like they were dipped in oil with zero crunch or freshness like they usually are. The whole experience and atmosphere was horrible. Even the other two workers on the floor didn’t look at or greet no one walking in.
Ms. C — Google review
Four or us ate here for lunch. We each had a meal with chicken and all the meat was extremely overcooked and dry. Either that or the meat was from super old chickens. Very tough. The fries were good but the coffee was not good either. Very little flavor. Go to Caroline’s. Way better food.

Caroline's Breakfast is a new eatery in St. Croix with limited outdoor seating, but the stunning view of Christiansted Harbor makes it worth the wait. They serve their famous breakfast all day and have a small lunch menu starting at 11 a.m. The fresh-juice cocktails are also highly recommended.
My husband & I ate brunch here one morning and loved it so much that we had to go a second time before we left the island. We had a great experience with the food and the staff were very friendly. I loved the decor inside & all the pink!

Nice cozy ambience near the boardwalk. Went for breakfast and tried quiche, avocado toast and crepe. We loved the beignet. The next day we went again but the service was very slow, so they apologized and did not charge for the food.

We had an amazing and flavorful meal. We highly recommend the Caroline's Omelet and the Snapper sandwich with salad; both were fresh and perfectly prepared. We also thoroughly enjoyed the delicious Pumpkin bread. Abby our waitress was great and attentive. The atmosphere was nice, quiet, and very relaxing. We had an amazing time and will certainly be back!

Just ok. It’s one of the only places open early enough for breakfast in Christiansted. The environment is cute, but all of the decor needs dusting. We ordered the bananas fosters French toast was ok—wasn’t as indulgent as I had hoped for. The bacon was cooked perfectly. Took way too long to get our order, our food, and our check. They definitely run on “island time” here. Staff wasn’t exactly cheery, but also not rude either.

Had breakfast here and it was delicious. The classic American breakfast and veggie Benedict were very very good. My son ordered Belgian waffles and didn’t like them. They were a little too soft. The coffee was watery so had an americano instead and it was perfect! Highly recommend! Staff was really friendly.

Sorry for the takeout picture. Small restaurant right off the boardwalk in Christiansted. I was vacationing on the island for a week and decided to take two yoga classes while I was there. The Hatha class with Kelly and the Vinyasa class with Brin were great. I really enjoyed the open air studio since the weather was beautiful both mornings I attended classes.

I’ve never had an Açai bowl before. I got the raspberry frozen base, fresh fruit strawberry and banana, toppings granola flax seed and peanut butter, with a squirt of honey. I thought the peanut butter was a risky topping but it turned out fantastic. How can you go wrong with dessert for breakfast?!
Bill P — Google review
We went to The Courtyard for breakfast one morning during our visit to St. Croix. The courtyard itself is absolutely stunning and the ambiance was amazing! We walked up to the counter to order and found out that because the owner was going on vacation soon, they were out of many of the items that had attracted us to the restaurant in the first place - no empanadas and out of some of the fruits. While we were in the middle of ordering, a regular came in and the owner literally left in the middle of taking our order to make the regular's usual order. When we finally had the opportunity to finish ordering, it took almost a half hour to get our meal... and we ordered a smoothie and a few acai bowls. They were good but nothing spectacular. We would maybe go back because of the ambiance but only if we have the time to wait during neglect as higher importance customers come in.

Alba's Bar & Restaurant is a popular dining spot located in Frederiksted, Virgin Islands. Situated on St. Croix Island, this restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience with its delicious food and outstanding hospitality service. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dishes for breakfast and dinner, served by the friendly staff led by Maria. The display of food allows guests to choose their preferred meal, and the portions are generous enough to make you want more to take home.
Carmen, the activity guide and owner of " Hanging With the Locals," suggested Alba's as a place to go to experience some of the traditional St Croix meals, and I must say Albas did not disappoint. Alba's offers indoor and outdoor door seating along with a well stocked bar for those inclined to have a drink with their meal. The food choices are displayed in the back in an open kitchen type concept set up. The waitstaff is knowledgeable and patiently answers questions and provides descriptions of each dish. I opted for ox tails w/gravy, coleslaw, spinach, rice and a traditional dish of veggies and cornmeal casserole, and of course a Johnny cake. Portions were good, and the food was very tasty. It can get busy, but the flow was pretty fast. There are plenty of staff on hand. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

I was recommend this spot by a local and it didn't disappoint. After having a few cocktails, we ordered the salmon rice and sides. Well season, great portions (enough to bring home) and reasonably priced. It was so tasteful we decided to return the next day for breakfast and a birthday celebration. The choices was plentiful so we tried a bit of ackee fish, salmon cakes, and oka with greens and pot fish Definitely cooked with grandma's love (or recipe). Very clean local establishment, ask to try the popular drink mamajuana for $5. Tell them Iee sent you. Enjoy

Great meal at Alba's today- I had stew conch, plantains, and veggies and I've truly never ordered a conch dish with such a generous amount included! Very flavorful stew, the employees are friendly- only problem is that Google Maps has the location wrong.... Alba's is across the street from the single story blue building with white shutters that says "U.S. House of Representatives" on it. Best meal of the trip by far :)

5 Stars – Authentic Flavors and Amazing Service! My wife and I had an incredible dining experience at Alba’s Restaurant in St. Croix. I ordered the stew conch and she had the stew beef—both were packed with rich, homemade flavor that reminded us of true island cooking. The seasoned rice, rice and beans, tostones, and homemade potato salad were the perfect sides—fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying. On top of the great food, Ray took excellent care of us. His service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re in St. Croix and looking for authentic local cuisine and warm hospitality, Alba’s is a must-visit!

We wanted lobster and a local directed us to this mom and pop restaurant! We were NOT disappointed! They dont serve it in a tail, but in a bowl of garlic butter broth with onions, green, red and yellow bell peppers. You also get a plate of yellow rice and beans, and an additional side. I had the same dish but with shrimp. I wasn't hungry enough for the rice and beans but instead poured the broth onto my rice, and ended up finishing the rice. Absolute heaven! We recommend parking right in front of the restaurant as we felt the neighborhood was a little sketchy at night, close to the Fredriksted pier. Super friendly owners we thanked them repeatedly for the delicious food, their nephew was our waiter/bartender, they even gave us the recipe for the broth! We ate the food too quickly for pictures! Lots of flavor, clean floors and tables. Not crowded.

Drove to the west side of the island looking for local cuisine. Can’t get better than Alba’s! Got there right when lunch was being served so had roast pork with cassava dressing and rice and beans. Also tried king fish which was a delicacy. Finished off with some tamarind juice for a lovely dinner with some of the best food on the island. For those who cruise just walk past the first street and explore St, Croix .

The Inn at Tamarind Court, located in the heart of Cruz Bay, offers a vibrant and budget-friendly stay for travelers. The property features two distinct accommodation options - an updated main guest house and smaller hostel-style rooms suitable for solo travelers. The 10 rooms and suites are simple yet colorful, catering to families or small groups. While the decor may be modest, the cleanliness and prime location just a short walk from Cruz Bay's attractions make it an attractive choice.
The Inn was awesome. It was everything we expected and needed it to be. The breakfast was amazing, we are currently back home eating dinner and still raving about it. The location was perfect and super close to Dolphin Market. Rosie was our favorite server/bartender she was half of the reason we loved the Inn so much. She always had a smiling face! Stephanie was phenomenal too, she was able to squeeze us in for an early check in and provided us with all types of necessities that we needed for the island.

This is a hotel with has bare minimum. I’m not sure how it was rated as a three star hotel. There is no couch, coffee maker, microwave or anything else normally provided by a regular 3 star hotel. The room has a narrow table, a plastic chair and the smallest refrigerator ever seen. It provides a piece of soap and a 2 in 1 shampoo, a few plastic cups. That’s it. The hotel does provide beach chairs and a small cooler but the cooler in our room is so dirty and old that we don’t want to touch it. No gym, no pool. There is a restaurant which provides decent food. The hotel advertises as "providing continental breakfast" but it’s really just a piece of bread and a cup of coffee. We were there during the busy holidays and I waited for half an hour to get my “breakfast”. Not worth it at all. The sheet on the bed seems to have been used millions of times. It looks very old. Our room was not cleaned well. Not sure it’s just us. There was hair in the sink. The surface of furniture was dirty. The worst was the shower curtain. There were lots of black molds on it. We talked to the front office lady. She seemed to be frustrated with the cleaning lady and called her back to clean up. The location is great. Quiet and walkable to downtown. Overall it’s quite disappointing for a three-star hotel in the price range of $250 - 300 per night. It’s more like a hostel style lodging with private rooms. As a follow up, the management refunded the total cost. It shows they care about the customers and have a high standard of their customer services, which I highly appreciate.

We only ate at the restaurant after overhearing about how good it was on a charter. Wow! The BBQ was excellent. Best meal out of our 12 day stay! I don't know what was in that mac and cheese but it was amazing! We both had the smoked flank steak and it was delicious. Not only was it the best but it was the most affordable meal too! Go on bbq night. You won't be disappointed!

I traveled solo (best choice I could have made) and got the solo traveler room. Zero complaints other than I wish I would have taken the plunge years ago. The room was super cute and cozy, the walk to town was short and safe. There is a grocery store about a 3 minute walk away and the room had a fridge with a microwave in the common area so I didn’t have to spend tons of money on eating out. I did however, try their restaurant and the staff was all super friendly and accommodating. The chef made my day when he saw me getting up to leave and stopped by to say that he hopes that I enjoyed my meal (he was not hard on the eyes either 😂). I will definitely be back again…and again. ❤️

Just back from a stay here and would be happy to return! We had a 3rd floor room with 2 twins. Rooms were comfy and clean, loved the high ceiling. AC and ceiling fans worked great. Included continental breakfast was good as was full breakfast. Very reasonable restaurant prices overall for St John. What we really loved were the extras that made it easy to hit the beach. The beach chairs, soft-sided coolers, snorkel gear were really appreciated. They’re happy to fill your cooler and water bottles with ice and water. This was our first time staying in Cruz Bay. Loved being able to walk from Inn to anywhere and not have to worry about parking and driving (especially after sunset beverages!). Thank you Tamarind!! Look forward to next visit.

This rating is specific to the restaurant. My first morning on the island my family and I had breakfast from this restaurant, which I ordered to go. The food was excellent. As a matter of fact, the food was so good, that I came back the very next morning on the 4th of July. I was very happy to see they were open, as so many other places were closed. When I was helped by the same woman that helped me the prior day, I said "I'd like to place another to-go order". She then said "sorry, we're not taking to-go orders today". I asked "so I can eat here, I just can't take it to go?" She said "correct, sorry". So I had to drive farther out of my way to get breakfast.

We have been coming to St John for many years and have walked by Tamarind Court Inn so many times noting the how busy the restaurant was and how close to town it was. We were able to stay this past week for a few nights. Let me tell you, we will be back! The room we had was very clean, very quiet, very comfortable and less than 10 minute walk to Cruz Bay Ferry Dock and waterfront restaurants. The queen size bed was very comfortable. Rooms have air conditioning however, with the ceiling fan, you really don’t even need it at night. The breakfasts served at the restaurant were extremely affordable and delicious! We highly recommend Tamarind Court Inn.

I'm happy that we chose this place to stop for lunch on our way to the Botanical Garden. We got salmon, vegetables, mashed plantain and seasoned rice. Everything tastes fresh and looks amazing. The sauce with my salmon was perfect. I would definitely recommend coming here!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch before going to the grocery store. I am so glad we did. We just moved to St. Croix a month ago and are looking for local food places to enjoy when we can. We passed it several times before going to Home Depot and decided to try it out. The moment we got out of the car we could smell the wonderful aroma of good food. There were several choices of rice, meats and fish, plantains and other Dominica dishes. I had the spare ribs with rice and beans along with a scalloped style plantain dish. My wife had the baked chicken, lomein and the same plantain dish. We thouroghly enjoyed the many flavors before us on the table. Very large portions with enough to take home to enjoy again and again. Thank you to the pleasant ladies for explaining the variety of food to us to make a well informed decision on what to order. Will definately go back again to try different choices to enjoy.

Overly priced for a lunch plate salmon rice veggies and a drink $30. My colleagues stop going there too. Food isn’t worth the price and they don’t provide a menu price for the buffet style of serving. Food was good but not for the amount or quality.

Sea Terrace at Grapetree Bay Hotel, located on the east end of St. Croix, offers a delightful dining experience with a variety of dishes such as Korean beef bowl, lettuce wraps, burgers, sandwiches, and freshly baked housemade breads and desserts. The restaurant serves lunch from Monday to Saturday and hosts a Sunday brunch. Visitors have praised the delicious meals prepared by the new chef and highlighted the surf & turf style dish with steak and scallops as particularly tasty albeit pricey.
We have been here for brunch before, and it was ok. We decided to go back again and they seem to have a new chef! Our meals were delicious and memorable. Everything was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The special of the day was a surf & turf style dish with steak and scallops. It was pricey but VERY tasty! My family is from STX and we will definitely recommend Sea Terrance to others now. Our server was fantastic and the bar drinks were good as well. Thanks for the great meal!

Coming on island since 1986, we have discovered several excellent dining establishments. On the East End of St Croix, the Grapetree Bay Hotel provides one such location: the Far East Steak House. My wife and I returned again for supper this past Saturday evening. Few restaurants on island offer the panoramic views the downstairs patio of the Grapetree Bay. Sunsets can be spectacular and tables are feet from the surf. Wear a hat - it can be windy. On Saturdays, Steve Katz provides the sophisticated guitar music that we have come to enjoy over the years. The retro-60s center round bar captained by Morgan (pardon the pun) offers the usual island drinks and cocktails; the Planter's Punch adds just enough dark rum molasses to offset the sweet tropical fruit. The wine list is modest - ask for the Captain's list if needing something a bit more celebratory. I know little of sake but hear they are popular. The staff is attentive - Jeremy oversees the dining room. His wife Dana, a server, is a fourth grade teacher on island and can handle any situation with grace. Olivia, Brett and others work efficiently and unobtrusively. The best news for 2025? Josh and Amy Sayres, our hosts, have found a winner in Chef Eric Marshall. On island, as the chef goes so goes the restaurant. His menu is Asian themed: the sushi rolls are large and fresh; edamame and poke salad are favorites. The choice of egg roll changes and will sometimes feature Caribbean lobster. Entree items provide choices for carnivores, fish aficionados, and vegans. My family has sampled most of the choices. My recent choice - almond-encrusted Chilean sea bass with sticky rice and a crisp vegetable medley - is my hands down favorite. My wife continues to order the sesame-seared tuna. Some of the adult kids are meat-lovers and favor the filet and strip steak. When in need of meat, I look for the ginger-tinged short ribs. Desserts consist of tropical fruit flavored cheesecakes, key lime pie and island after dinner drinks like a Lime in the Coconut or Bushwhacker. I've heard it somewhere before: come for the views, stay for the food. And don't forget to tip Steve Katz. Like my family, you will make memories.

Pretty mediocre over all. Service was fine and staff were all friendly. We made reservations for the Thanksgiving buffet for lunch. It was decent. Definitely nothing to get excited about. But I guess it's what to expect being on a US island in the Caribbean. They gave it there best shot, maybe. Mac and cheese was dry as a bone. Burnt to the pan. Turkey was OK with the gravy. Stuffing was from a box and was pretty bad. Ham glaze was pretty extra and unnecessary. Mashed potatoes and gravy were the best part. Not quite sure what's really going on at this hotel. There's also no beach. Pool was nice. Just realized - Judging from the reviews (11 as of my post) they are mostly first time reviewers which is sketch and all 5 stars.

First time here and Chef Fire did an outstanding job! We shared the Korean Beef Bowl, Pork Ribs and the Shrimp Dumpling - Best Asian food I have had on island! Kelli was an efficient and friendly bartender! All with a spectacular view!

My wife and I stopped by after a trip to Point Udall for lunch. Not a whole lot of places on that end of the island to eat. We gave it a shot. First off the view from that bar is one of the more scenic spots on the island and thats saying something. The bar tender had just started a few days ago and what a great guy. I ordered a hamburger and he asked me if I like cheese. "Do you REALLY LIKE CHEESE"... I do. Try the Graptree Burger. I did. It was served with what seemed like a pound of cheese that had been melted and crusted over on top of the patty. Its a good spot and those folks are working hard to get that place on the food map.

Food is disgusting. I ordered a medium well burger and got rare meat. So I ate my fries. The virgine margaritas, which is technically a lemonade was made with stale lemons/limes and charged at $12. And regardless of service, 18% gratuity is added to your bill. The waitress was very nice though.

Maho Crossroads is a sustainable pop-up village located near Maho Beach on St. John. It features a tiki bar serving top-notch Painkillers, a food truck housed in a WV bus, shops, water sports rentals, and lawn games, all exuding a laid-back beach club ambiance. Visitors praise the spot for its cool vibe, great tunes, and excellent service. The location makes it an ideal place to immerse oneself in beachy vibes while enjoying delicious drinks and tacos.
Great little beach bar. We had burgers and they were delicious! Maho is our favorite beach! Always a fun day!
Sandy S — Google review
Maho Crossroads easily clinches the title of the best beach bar in the US Virgin Islands. No frills, just a seriously cool and vibrant spot with an awesome atmosphere. The tunes were on point, and the service deserves a solid A++. Not to forget, the drinks were fantastic too! Situated right across the street from Maho Beach in Saint John, it’s the ideal spot to soak up the beachy vibes. Parking can be a tad challenging, and it’s not the cheapest joint on the island, but when it comes to that perfect blend of great music, good service, and beachfront location with a variety of excellent drinks, Maho Crossroads nails it.
Jose C — Google review
Two words describe Maho Crossroads. Out. Standing. Some of the best, if not the best. drinks on the Island! The food isn't bad either! Bartenders are awesome and what a great atmosphere! Life is full of choices...and you must make Maho Crossroads one of them! LOVE this place!
Joseph V — Google review
Drinks and food were excellent! Can’t go wrong with whatever you choose. Everyone was chill and helpful!
David P — Google review
We had a great time at Maho Beach on our recent trip to St. John. We hiked to Maho from Cinnamon Bay—not a bad hike, despite what people say—and we went on Taco Tuesday (1/2/24) because… well, it was Taco Tuesday! But not everything goes according to plan on St. John, and there were NO TACOS! That’s alright, we just went with the flow, and no complaints. Instead, I had a Cruz Bay Burger, and my wife had the Mahi Mahi Sandwich. We picked up a painkiller and a lime in d’coconut to wash them down. You’ll see people complain about prices at the Crossroads, but not us. The food was hot, tasty, and the drinks were smooth, yet strong (which is why we only had one each). It’s worth a couple bucks more to have your food at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Maho Beach is one of the best places to see sea turtles, and we managed to see one, despite the cloudier-than-usual water, due to wave action. The other complaint you hear a lot is from folks who remember Maho from “back then,” a quieter time, with no Crossroads. I get that, especially for folks who live on the island. But for the tourists, it’s sure nice to be able to have a complete experience at Maho—amazing beach, food, recreational rentals, shirts, mugs, etc. We picked up a couple fun reusable pint cups with our drinks, and now use them back home. It’s a happy memory, for sure.

We called an audible when arriving in the AM at the Charolotte Amalie shopping area downtown... we were heading to a different place for AM coffee, and we saw Bumpa's and remembered someone recommending it to us last time we were in St. Thomas. We're always wanting to try something new! So, Bumpas is a smaller, narrow place on the second floor of a building on the waterfront street downtown. What it lacks in size, it more than makes up for the view it provides of St. Thomas Bay. It's a spectacular view! The couple that run the place are super nice, and they've been in St. Thomas for decades... literally. They moved there and raised their children some 20+ years ago. We opted for our usual lattes, which were very delicious. The food selection at Bumpas is almost overwhelming, so any different things to choose from, and they all sounded good. We opted for a couple of empanada-like fried/stuffed meat pies, like a stuffed fry jack you'd find in Belize. We ordered one stuffed with "salt fish" and the other with beef. Unfortunately, we were served two of the salt fish variety, which was promptly corrected. Served with a sweet sauce on the side, and another side of blistering hot habanero sauce. The fried dough was a little bit thick on the ends, but overall the pies were good. The fish was a bit salty, but tasted great. The beef did lack a little flavor, but was still good. We would definitely good back to try other things on the menu. When the coffee is really good, it's always worth a return trip when the menu is vast. Recommend Bumpas for your coffee and breakfast/lunch dining pleasure...

This is a quick stop, we had breakfast before heading to the airport. We ordered the Monte Carlo, eggs/toast/bacon, and banana pancakes. All the items were great! The view was beautiful and it was pretty empty (there no cruise ships in port). The breeze was an added bonus from being at the higher elevation. You do have to walk around to get there and go up stairs.

If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying smoothie, COLOMBO'S SMOOTHIES should be at the top of your list. With options like rum-laced shakes and fresh breakfast and lunch options, this cafe is perfect if you're on a trip to St. John or just want to relax on an island. Plus, they have corn hole available if you'd like to while away some time waiting in line.
Didn't have a chance to try this spot during our last trip so we stopped this round. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I got the love city fresh smoothie with protein. My wife got the Berry bay. Both were excellent. I enjoyed the love city fresh so much I made Colombos my last stop before my trip back! I will most certainly be back next time we're local !
Nick V — Google review
It just wasn’t the same. 😭 This has been one of our favorite places on the island for years. But they have clearly changed, I did not taste any fruit in the smoothie, some sort of powder mix? So sad because we always drive over multiple times a week when we stay in Cruz Bay and unfortunately they have either changed owners, changed chefs, but bottom line is they changed the recipe. Will not waste the gas/ cash for a $15-$20 smoothie. We miss the old manager/owner who seemed to care.
Ashley L — Google review
Can’t speak to the food, but the hours are variable. Drove past it during its open hours and only once was it actually open. Yay- was excited about getting some cold fresh fruit smoothies, but then the staff told us that they already cleaned up and were closing early. 3/3 attempts not available? Don’t drive out of your way for this place- not reliable.
Alana — Google review
Third time I've visited in different days of the week and they don't have any of the food options available. To be honest the smoothie tastes like cheap packaged orange juice and is pricey for the quality.. but my boyfriend wanted to return regardless to see if their food was a little better we arrived 20 minutes before closing time and the lady was very rude and said they were already close and she could only offer coffee?? It's 100 degrees out side. Doesn't seem they're very reliable or care about their service or making something simple and well. 🫨

I was driving through exploring Virgin Islands National Park on a beautiful, warm, sunny day. But I had run out of water and I was parched..with some hunger setting in! I saw this sign on the road for Colombo's and it was just want I needed! A very chilled out offering on an intersection with fresh, flavorful smoothies! (You can add some complimentary rum if you desire!) Friendly service and ample space to sit and enjoy your smoothie. The St. John special was spot on! The pricing may come across as a touch expensive but everything on USVI is such. I'd definitely recommend stopping by on your way. PS: not sure if they take card so carry cash.

One of the worst salad bowls I’ve ever had, for $17 ! Ordered the Veg Out bowl with sweet potatoes added. And when I opened it later, the bowl didnt have half the ingredients mentioned in the menu. No hummus, no tomatoes, no sprouts and the “mixed greens” was just lettuce. She had told me they were out of roasted beets, so I expected that but she didnt mention that it would just be a bowl full of lettuce and sweet potatoes with some dressing (the dressing was good though). I expected better from the reviews of the place, extremely disappointed.
Suchismita S — Google review
The soup came out burnt tasting and the wrap I said for no spice but came out spicy. The only thing that tasted okay was one of the paninis but it didnt have the contents that they said it would. But the berry blast smoothie I got was really good. Very cute place, but the food not so much. I recommend only going for the drinks.

I stayed out on the island of St Thomas for a little over a month and absolutely LOVED this restaurant! The atmosphere, service and food are unsurpassed. As someone from Portland, OR I don't expect to find good coffee while I travel and have learned tips and tricks along the way to find hidden gems. I ended up at Parley Cafe just because it was the closest and only option from my hotel and I was pleasantly surprised! My iced vanilla latte was delicious and my simple bagel and cream cheese really hit the spot. The family working were kind and gave great advice about walking around the city. Enjoying a coffee in the secluded alley way with a good book was a perfect vacation morning.

Charming spot for a familiar latte and delicious cinnamon scone. Tucked into an alley. Seating inside and out. Only place open early for a GOOD latte in the area!

We needed good coffee and a lite snack this AM, and Parley Cafe served up both! It’s a little bit off the beaten track, down an alley aways, but if you’re familiar with downtown Charlotte Amalie, you know the drill. If not, look up the location here and you’ll get there! Super nice owner/operator, originally from the States, but in St. Thomas for years. The lattes were perfect, espresso to milk ratio, and piping hot. We also had the cubano panini, which was da bomb! As an after thought, we picked up a pistachio muffin, which was also very good as well. I’m not one to regularly give coffee shops 5-star ratings, but Parley Cafe deserves it! Highly recommend Parley Cafe for coffee, sandwiches and snacks!

DO NOT go to this place! They had a bulletin board displaying their very limited and expensive menu. We ordered coconut shrimp (appetizer) and what came out was NOT shrimp. It looked like General Tso's chicken from a Chinese buffet that had probably been sitting out for days. It had some kind of glaze that resembled teriyaki or similar. No batter, did not taste like shrimp, and didn't resemble anything like coconut. Then the so called "chef" came out and insulted us and said if we could not afford to pay, then not to order. He indicated he was an "executive chef" at such and such, and what came out was downright horrible in addition to the insults from the "chef". The only pleasant part of the experience was the server. She was very attentive and expressed regret at the horrible experience we had at this place. We turned around and went to the Flyers Bar and Grill and that place was very good!
Clay C — Google review
Considering requesting a menu with pricing. We ordered cheeseburgers. They were tiny burgers with a side of fries for $25 each. The tables were covered in Christmas cloth in March. Thank goodness the service was friendly.
Monica C — Google review
There are many options around, but we thought we would give this a shot! We were greeted kindly and asked if they were serving breakfast. The server went and asked the “chef” and came back and told us they had “eggs, sausage, bacon, and toast.” I ordered that without the bacon and my boyfriend had just the eggs (scrambled- maybe 2 of them). We should have known when there were no prices listed that it might be a bad sign! The food took forever because the “chef” was also the only person who could make their signature drink, “the dirty banana.” Bland eggs, an inch and a half piece of sausage, and barely buttered wheat bread later (again only for me), we were told the total was $50!!! We were FLOORED!!! We got 6 tastier pastries WITH jam around the corner for $12! Skip LA Cafe and go anywhere else for better food with upfront pricing! Lesson learned!

Stopped off here due to reviews. Wish I hadn’t. Wasn’t busy at all maybe 4/5 tables outside. Ordered fried chicken and Johnny cakes. Waited and waited took nearly one hour and was the driest chicken I’ve ever had. There’s a kfc next door which I only noticed after we ordered so wish I’d gone there. Also cost 22 dollars for this dry chicken.

Loved our cafe latte (we took both hot and cold). The staff is super-friendly and patient to make suggestions!! A definite recommend!!

Consistently one of the best coffee shops we’ve ever been to. Every single drink we’ve had from straight espresso to lattes to the more fruity drinks are always so insanely good. And the food is exceptional as well. They have regular grab and go bagel or English muffin sandwiches but usually run specials which are always the best. We first came here with our real estate agent when we were checking out the island and now that we live here we try to come as much as possible. Good vibes and food and drink. Staff are always nice as well.

Such a perfect coffee spot. It only makes it better that it’s a quaint little market and amazing cafe too!! Such wonderful staff you can tell they really love their brand. The Virgin Islands coffee roasters beans really keep this place close to home. Local roasters always make my coffee experience more enjoyable. The seating is minimal but perfect for those slow mornings soaking up the island vibes. It’s become well known to guests from far and wide but it keeps that local corner coffee shop feel alive with the soul of the islands.

Cute, cozy place! We went there to get coffee but they also had smoothies, food, and other things like shirts, candles, ect! They had plenty of parking and indoor and outdoor seating! We saw three cats and a bunch of chickens and they were friendly! Not a bother at all! We ordered the CCC the coconut caramel coffee cold brew drink. If you’re used to drinking strong coffee, this might come across as a bit weaker of a brew to you. If not, enjoy!

I visited on 9/26/25 for breakfast. I went due to several great reviews from YouTube. So glad I visited, it was great. I had The Webster, which our taxi driver recommended and the pumpkin freeze, which was amazing. Hubby had the Club. This is a must stop while you’re in St Thomas. Hope to visit again.

Stopped to pick up the most amazing bagel I’ve ever had on the way to Sapphire Beach! You will not be disappointed. They offer a great selection of food, drinks and gift options. I also loved the vibe. Highly recommend! 🙌🏻 🌴

Great little coffee shop on the north side . Excellent coffee and breakfast. Everyone that worked there was friendly and provided great service. Didn’t eat lunch there but they have great breakfast burritos.

Really beautifully set/decorated cafe! Very boujee western style with fancy lattes and food. A bit pricey as I spent $19 for avocado toast and a latte with soy milk but I guess that’s normal here. Very sweet staff and it was really nice to sit and work here for a bit. Air conditioned seating inside but also seating outside.

Coffee and pastries are excellent. Went multiple mornings while here for vacation. Husband said one of the best lattes he’s ever had. Atmosphere and decor is great and outdoor courtyard is lovely.

Located directly behind of the fragrance store, it’s has such a peaceful feel. Iced latte was good and the barista was very courteous with a very welcoming smile!

Best in Christiansted. Millennial white and tan decor, real espresso machine (Rocket), appropriately hip employees. :) Took a nice long A/C break with an iced latte and my book.

Lovely place to have a coffee in a real mug! Hard to find that on the island. I had the best cappuccino with oat milk in a while. The food was also so good! Simple but very tasty, and good quality ingredients. I haven’t had fresh mozzarella in a sandwich anywhere else, what a treat 🙌

The best cafe on island! The sandwiches are delicious (I recommend the tomato, prosciutto with pesto and add mozzarella on a bun), the coffee is made with love and passion, the ambience makes you want to hang around for hours on end but most importantly the staff is kind and caring.
