Nestled just a short stroll from the beautiful beaches of Torquay, The 25 Boutique B&B is a charming and quirky retreat that promises an unforgettable stay. This modern villa has been recently refurbished to offer bright, inviting rooms equipped with flat-screen TVs and tea-making facilities. Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and parking while relaxing in the cozy guest lounge or on the lovely patio. Each morning begins with a delightful breakfast made from locally sourced ingredients, ensuring you start your day off right.
What can I say! This was my first stay at the 25 Boutique and can honestly say I’ve never felt so welcome anywhere else. Andy & Julian just ooze professionalism and friendliness, my room was utterly spotless and welcoming (even though I did jump a few feet in the air coming from the bathroom to the bedroom and laying eyes on Manuel the mannequin in the dim light!),the daily treats are a special touch and I can honestly say I’m looking forward to coming back with my husband for a few nights in May! Thank you so much, A & J xx

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at the 25 and what a truly wonderful experience we have had. The room was exceptional as was the breakfast. Andy and Julian are great hosts and are I'm sure incredibly proud of what they have achieved at their tremendous B&B. If you're planning a trip to Torquay make every effort to book a stay here I'm happy to guarantee you won't find anywhere near as good. Many thanks again Andy and Julian.

A masterclass in what attention to detail and charm can do to elevate accomodation to leagues above just being a place to sleep. The rooms are sumptuous and Jason and Marsela are the most accommodating and hospitable couple you could ever have the good fortune to meet. Cannot recommend enough.

There's Nothing quite like this B&B a completely unique experience. Andy and Julian are amazing host, making us feel like VIPs the whole time despite being fully booked. The suite was impeccably clean and luxurious, along with all the unique and homemade touches included a fully comprehensive guide on every little detail you could possibly want to know, which were just mind blowing and made the experience unique and magical, we will definitely be back and cannot wait..... Highly recommended we truly loved every minute

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful 4 night break at The 25 in Torquay between 29 May and 2 June 2025. Having stayed at The 25 before, we knew what to expect and we certainly weren’t disappointed. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived to the time we sadly had to leave. The 25 is owned and run by Andy and Julian who completely redesigned and refurbished the B&B, transforming it into a truly memorable and unique place to stay over 10 years ago. The 25 has consistently been recognised for the quality and standards provided and has received countless prestigious awards, all completely well deserved and justifiable. We were welcomed by Andy and given the key to our room on the first floor, Broadsands - all the rooms are named after local areas or beaches. Each is individually designed, with en-suite bathrooms, and equipped with the most up to date technology, including air conditioning, HD televisions (there is even one over the bath in the en-suite), mood lighting, WiFi, Nespresso coffee machine, minibar, and many other facilities which would take far too much room to mention! Needless to say, Andy and Julian have thought of everything a guest may need. The room was large, spotlessly clean and exquisitely decorated with a super king bed and beautiful white linen bedding. The en-suite had ‘his & hers’ sinks, a large walk-in shower and a roll top bath. As you would expect, the complimentary toiletries were of the highest quality. After settling in to our room and unpacking, we went downstairs to the lounge where Andy provided us with refreshments; my wife had a pot of tea whilst I had a glass of red wine and we both had a piece of Andy’s home made chocolate brownie, which was to die for! After a good night’s sleep we went down to breakfast which, needless to say, was exceptional. There was an extensive buffet with home-made smoothie shots and yogurts, together with fresh fruit juice, a wide selection of cereals, nuts and grains and jars of freshly prepared berries. This was complimented by a wide selection of hot dishes all cooked to order. I could easily continue to wax lyrical about the many aspects of our stay that contributed to our memorable experience at The 25. Andy and Julian have built an amazing business that they can be justifiably proud of. They are outstanding hosts who welcome guests (many of whom become friends and regularly return) into their home. The countless awards that are on display are testament to the exceptional quality and standards, which are second to none. The 25 is a true hidden gem and we look forward to returning very soon.

Just back from another 5* stay. Wonderful welcome from Andy. Luxury accommodation that provides for every need. So high-tech we didn't have to lift a finger to turn the air-con, lights or even the TV on ourselves .. just asked Alexa! Superb breakfasts, cooked by Julian. They even sent us on our journey home with a goody bag. A B&B well deserving of all its accolades. Our third visit and we can't wait to go back already. Xx

The Tor Park Hotel in Torquay offers a straightforward accommodation with a lounge, sun terrace, bar, dance floor, and live entertainment. Situated 0.6 km from St. Peter and within walking distance to Torre Abbey Museum and Gardens, this hotel also provides easy access to Living Coasts Zoo. Guests have praised the warm welcome from the Reception Manager and the exceptional service received throughout their stay.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Stay! I had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome — they were warm, helpful, and genuinely kind throughout my stay. You can really tell they care about their guests. The entire place is spotless and beautifully maintained. Everything looks and smells so fresh and clean, which made it feel even more relaxing. It’s one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in, and that attention to detail really stood out. Another huge plus: it's pet-friendly! It was such a relief to find a place that not only allows pets but actually makes them feel at home too. My furry companion was just as comfortable as I was. The location is also fantastic — close to everything I needed, whether it was a walk to a nearby café or a quick drive to local attractions. Super convenient. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, welcoming, and well-located place to stay — especially if you're traveling with pets. I’ll definitely be back!
Hope W — Google review
My family and I stayed at this hotel for three days, and our experience was extremely disappointing. The photos shown on Google and Booking.com are completely misleading and do not reflect the reality of this place. The property was advertised as a four-star hotel (and three-star on some platforms), but in reality, it does not meet even the minimum standard of a two-star hotel or a basic guesthouse. From the moment we arrived, the entrance, lobby, and parking lot were full of garbage. The corridors were dark, smelly, and unwelcoming. During our entire stay, the reception and staff were irresponsible, and the level of service was essentially zero. Over the course of three days, I repeatedly contacted both the reception and the manager—four times in total—to request basic necessities for both of our rooms. These included fixing a broken fan, providing toilet paper, shampoo, and even charging the room properly. Despite all my calls and in-person visits to the reception, no service was ever provided. When I raised my concerns directly with the reception staff, I was rudely told that the hotel was “two stars” and that no additional services were provided. This was not only disrespectful but also completely unacceptable, as basic hygiene items like toilet paper and shampoo should be standard at any level of accommodation. On the first day, I already realized that the hotel was far below the promised standard and I wanted to leave. However, Booking.com refused to refund my payment, leaving me no choice but to endure three nights here with my small child under these poor conditions. I am writing this complaint to warn other travelers not to be misled by the false photos and star ratings. This hotel is absolutely not worth the money and provides none of the services it claims. The judgment is yours, but I strongly advise against booking this place.

My wife, sister in law and so booked a one night stay at Tor point hotel this weekend whilst going to the electric bay festival. The staff were friendly, the room clean and the doors were code protected. It’s a 15-20 minute walk into the town/ to the beach front. I can’t say for other people’s experiences obviously but for the price point there wasn’t anything to complain about for us. You don’t pay a rate that is 1/2 or 1/3 or 1/4 the rate of other hotels to expect a fancy hotel with tonnes of services… If you want a cheap, simple hotel with polite staff a small walk from the beach/ center I’d recommend!

It is a very run down hotel let it go down hill paid £130 for 2 nights dont do food there find own way getting food bed sheets had stains. Brake away for me and my 2 children we was all fast asleep woke up at 00.30 itching like mad looked on my hand 3 bed bugs on me where I've been bitten blood all over the sheets check on my children they was on my little girls bed wake both kids get someone help me can't stay in that room manger change our room beds still had stains we was so tyerd non of us sleep scared might be bugs in this room had take all clothes be washed and dry just incase bed bug eggs. Just asked for bit of a refund help pay for washing clothes and drying them and cream for our bites need call the manager done that slammed phone down on me STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL
Matt K — Google review
The room was a shambles. The bedding was stained, part of the curtain was crumpled up under the mattress, there was a hole in the bathroom door which isn't hung properly, the bedside lamp didn't work, there were no toiletries, the courtyard outside the window was littered with discarded buckets and an apparently abandoned greenhouse, and the staff were nowhere to be found to speak to about any of it in the morning when we went to leave. None of it felt worth £45. I reached out to the hotel before leaving this review and instead of replying with anything constructive, I was asked to supply them with photos.
Sossa C — Google review
Absolutely shocking, had to provide my own soap, the photos of the property do not match what I got. Soiled broken out dated bed with springs sticking out, TV that wasn't even connected to the wifi, a window that wouldn't close and to top it off 'house rules' you have to sign so you really know you've hit rock bottom. Checked out early as it was like the walking dead being greeted by the local dealer every day. Staff were nice though, although being called at 10pm the night before check-in and being called after you've checked in was a little excessive. Would not recommend.
Ryan B — Google review
Absolutely shameful hotel , our wonderful experience started off with rude lazy staff which then led into us finding a nappy under one of the beds, we told the staff and they had nothing to say and didn’t even take it out of the room , The bathroom window was smashed and there was glass on the floor in the bathroom, the carpets where extremely dirty and it seemed like they only hoover it once a month. on our second day we asked one of the cleaners to empty our bins and change our towels but when we got back to the hotel nothing was done. No staff was ever available and when there was and we asked for a fan in our boiling hot room it took us asking 3 times and waiting 3 hours before we actually received one. Definitely do not recommend only positives how close it was to the beach
Richard K — Google review
Your heart might sink when you arrive at first glance .it's a bit of a time capsule. but for a couple of nights stay it's good. room and bathroom were nice and clean .I would stay again.

The Somerville is a stylish and elegant 5-star boutique B&B located in the heart of Torquay. The hotel offers luxury accommodation with a mix of antiques and modern amenities, providing a light and fresh decor. Guests can enjoy free WiFi, allergy-friendly rooms, beauty treatments, and a lounge-bar. The venue is conveniently situated near popular attractions such as Unity Church, Torquay Museum, Meadfoot Beach, and Abbey Park.
Stayed here a few months back, would have given 10* if I could, this place was exceptional. There is a car park at the rear with enough parking for the amount of rooms. It’s not too far to walk to the seafront but it is up a hill so be mindful of this if you aren’t the best at walking. We didn’t arrive until very late, but the owner waited at the property for us to arrive. He checked us in and even carried our case up to the room. The room itself wasn’t the biggest but it was clean and decor wise it was a mix of traditional and modern. There was plenty of facilities in the room and the bed was great, we both had a brilliant sleep. The breakfast is the jewel in the crown for this place. The menu was something I’d expect to see in a high end restaurant not a B&B. The food was amazing, by far the best breakfast I’ve ever had when I’ve stayed away. The owner took time to speak to us the following morning, he was a really nice guy. Overall I was disappointed that we only spent one night here. I feel the price is very reasonable in comparison to the experience of staying here and if we are in the area again I will not look elsewhere for accommodation.

We stayed for my birthday, Peter and Helen upgraded me to a suite for free as a gesture. Room was fantastic, breakfast was perfect with fresh cooked food and so many additional choices. Was greeted in the car park on arrival by Peter who was a delight, they both know how to look after people, nothing was too much trouble. They gave us a pass for the Model Village, allowed us to bring back my brother for a drink in the evening and served us all, incredible service. I have stayed in so many hotels some of which are world famous but this was a lesson in how to look after people. I have spread the word and my cousin is staying soon and I will be back. Thank you!!!
Carl W — Google review
Fabulous stay from beginning to end. The best breakfast ever, served by the Owner Peter himself😁. From homemade granola, to piping hot full english breakfast, choice of eggs, quality ingredients. In the room bottled water and tea/ coffee etc replenished every day. Helen's home made cake for you to help yourself to when you came back from a day out. Beautiful gardens, friendly, helpful hosts. Excellent location. I would highly recommend this guest house. We were given a suite with a comfy settee and a wonderful terrace with garden. TV in bedroom and lounge. Perfect.
Thomas K — Google review
Don’t usually do reviews but this place is exceptional. Having arrived a little jaded from a 3 hour drive and rested in our car a little while, no sooner had we started to lift our luggage out than our host Peter ‘magically’ appeared in the car park offering to help. Only a two day stay but left wishing it had been two weeks. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Peter, Helen and Paul - what boutique B&B has three chefs on duty? Immaculate, comfortable room, Five Star cuisine (unbelievable breakfast array featuring many locally sourced goodies plus multiple cooked options). Loads of advice on where to go, what to see etc etc and great casual conversations imbued with their experience of many years in hospitality. Loved what I took to be Peter’s tongue-in-cheek nod to a famous TV line - ‘what do you expect to see from a hotel bedroom window in Torquay’ - our view slightly obscured by a wall ten feet away on which Peter had positioned a striking banner featuring a sea view panorama complete with palm trees. Brilliant!
Christopher C — Google review
Where to start, from the moment booking communication from Pete was brilliant, a warm welcome on arrival and top class hosting from start to finish, the location of Somerville is fantastic just a short walk from the Marina, rooms are clean and beautiful decor. The little information guide in the rooms is a great touch, recommending local places to eat and Pete has real local knowledge to help you. Breakfast was exceptional, a great choice of fresh fruits through to a beautiful cooked Full English with fresh coffee and tea throughout. This is our first time staying at Somerville and we are already planning our next visit here, going to be our new little getaway. Thank you Pete and Helen, it’s really been a pleasant stay, you guys have been absolutely fantastic

Peter & Helen are excellent hosts, the breakfast choice is superb. The room was high quality with little touches that make a difference, the lounge has luscious furniture with quirky objects and art for interest. The location is also good, close to town but quiet. All in all a treasure to find.

Just a short stroll away from iconic attractions like Torre Abbey and the Riviera International Conference Centre, this stylish bed and breakfast is ideally located for those looking to soak up the local culture.
We have just returned from a wonderful week at this beautiful bed and breakfast. The hosts, David and Tonny, could not have done any more to make our stay more enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the breakfast is a feast. We would highly recommend this fine establishment. The location is perfect for Torquay seafront and is within easy reach of Paignton and Babbacombe. Already booked for next year, that’s how good it is!

The best B&B we have ever stayed in. David & Tonny are incredible hosts who provide all the essentials for your stay and so much more. The breakfast is incredible, cakes are divine and everything in the room is luxurious . We have already booked our next stay with them! Would give 10 stars if I could ✨️

Just wow, what absolutely beautiful accommodation! The attention to detail was truly amazing, making our stay feel special and comfortable from start to finish. David and Tonny were wonderful hosts - super friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them, which made our experience even better. Highly recommend for a memorable and cozy getaway! Thank you both again for a wonderful stay, can't wait to return. Fiona & Simon
Fiona C — Google review
Stayed for two nights and wished we had stayed longer ! From the initial welcome from Tonny and David (which included prosecco and cake) plus the provision of lots of useful information, the great rooms, great customer service and even better breakfasts this was a cut above expectation and recent experience elsewhere. Nothing was too much trouble and the duo seem to have thought of everything from hand held fans, snacks mid afternoon for you return to base, down to super size bath towels in your room. It's a 10 minute stroll down to the sea front and the boys are always on hand to assist with recommendations for places to visit or eat. I don't often recommend places to stay but David and Tonny have it cracked here. How often do you find yourself annoyed and disappointed at the little things that are missing or forgotten that often ruin the experience ? - not here. If you looking for a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and first class service try here - you will not be disappointed
Paul S — Google review
Sometimes wonderful hosts can camouflage the overall facilities and upgrade ratings and surroundings. In this case, David and Tonny are exceptional hosts, and only cement their ratings. As a couple, we have stayed at many 5-star resorts throughout the globe, and I have to say that David and Tonny would stand their own at every one of these. What a fabulous pair, their attention to every minute detail was well executed and carefully planned. The breakfast was first class, and for a boutique B&B the choice and quality were exceptional. David is a great cook, Tonny is a marvellous host. The dining area was available 24/7 to allow for those extra little drinks and snacks. The choice and quality are close to £25/30 per head, making the pricing of the stay and room great value. The boutique B&B and the room we stayed in was exceptional. It had everything we required and possibly more. To be fair to the area and overall accommodation, there’s only so much David and Tonny can achieve, without a full rebuild and what the accommodation does offer is first class. Tyndale made our stay in Torquay a memorable one, and I would be delighted to return, or venture to any of David and Tonny’s locations/parties or dining experiences. Finally, we must give the facilities 9/10, which seems somewhat harsh, but I can’t think of many 10/10 locations across the globe. However, for going out of their way and that feeling you’ve been treated to the best service, I will happily give David and Tonny 10/10 “It doesn’t get much better than this”. Paul/Natalie

David and Tonny are super friendly and lovely. As soon as we arrived, we were surprised by the kind hospitality. We were quickly introduced around the accommodation, as well as given some advice on where to go around the area. Also, I was amazed by attentive they are in making guests comfortable, which made our stay very enjoyable. The room is very clean and pleasant. I would definitely recommend everyone to stay here while visiting Torquay. Thank you.

Tonny and David were the perfect hosts, making us feel spoilt and pampered! The food was incredible, there was so much to choose from and it was all delectable. The decor is stunning and Tonny and David are so knowledgeable about Torquay and all of the activities possible. Honestly the most amazing stay. Nothing at all to fault, except that our stay was too short!

We stayed at Tyndale b&b in July 2024 and I would definitely recommend them for your stay. Such a cute place, the hosts are so lovely and generous and there are so many cute touches like putting cake in the room each day etc. Some great restaurants about a 20 min walk away and you can easily reach some stunning walks along the coast path and Dartmoor in a 30ish min drive. Great little spot!

A LOVELY B & B. We stayed at Abingdon House for 3 nights in the middle of some rather chilly March weather, however, the welcome and hospitality from Billy and Shona couldn't have been warmer! Our room was spotlessly clean and warm, with a very comfortable bed, and everything you'd need, including fresh milk in a mini fridge, and toiletries in the bathroom. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, and the food was top quality and excellently cooked and presented. Thank you, Billy and Shona, for looking after us so well.

We stayed in this lovely guest house about 10 month's ago and we enjoyed it so much we had another 2 night stay. Nothing has changed, Billy and Shona are still the friendliest owners we have ever come across, the rooms are lovely and clean with a very comfy bed and the full English with as much toast and coffee as you like is exceptional. See you next year guy's.

Fantastic place to stay , the proprietors cannot do enough for you, the place is very well kept, and in a quiet location even tho there is a railway line at the back of the property.. Wow just wow I booked the guest house on the night before our wedding and I was truly blown away by the attention to detail and the willingness to make sure that you are comfortable and happy throughout every minute of your stay. It’s truly a Hidden jam within the centre of Torquay, the location is two minutes away from the train Station not too far from the town or the beach as well. The bed was insanely comfortable and all of the facilities and services that were provided are very clean fresh modern all the things that you would need for a nice relaxing comfortable stay. I genuinely can’t recommend these guys enough so if you’re planning a trip to Torquay, this is definitely the place that you need to be.

Joe and steve are wonderful hosts feels like stopping at a friends house, extremely accommodating the rooms are clean well kept and full of attention to details showing how much they care about there guests. Had diffrent cakes in our rooms each day and a goody bag with fruit water and a cake when we left for work both times we stayed. Guests are greeted by the warm hospitality of Gary and Philip, who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay without being intrusive. The stylishly decorated rooms boast complimentary Wi-Fi and offer a delightful atmosphere for relaxation.
We only stayed one night as we came down from the Midlands for a family funeral. We booked 4 rooms at the Torcroft for myself my 2 Aunts and my cousin. We loved the decor, the rooms were beautifully decorated. Everything you needed in your room. The owners were so accommodating, they were very friendly. We loved their 2 dog's Patty and Punky. Breakfast was lovely, a good choice of options and it was all very tasty, well cooked. We all wished we could of stayed longer. We all would highly recommend staying here.
Dawn H — Google review
I booked this place on the back of the reviews on TripAdvisor and see why it is so popular. It was the best B&B I have stayed at in years. Philip made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived: the bar and breakfast room are lovely; there is a nice patio and garden; the rooms are extremely comfortable; and breakfast had an exceptional range of choices and was delicious, served by friendly and helpful girls. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a B&B rather than a hotel and I will definitely return the next time I come to Torquay.

Myself and partner had an overnight stay here and we loved it. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly as was the the polite and friendly girl helping with the breakfast orders. The hotel is clean with tasteful furnishings and fittings. The breakfast was lovely and and the location was great. We will definitely come again.

Loved our stay at the Torcroft! The B&B is clean, comfortable & modern and most importantly quiet at nighttime so you’ll have a peaceful sleep. The honesty bar and Mediterranean style garden was perfect for relaxing and enjoying drinks at sunset and the breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious. They gave us recommendations of all the places to visit in South Devon, Thank you so much Gary & Phil! Hannah & Marco

Would highly recommend The Torcroft. Nice decor! Room was quiet, clean and thick curtains and blind to keep the early morning sun away. Comfy bed. Great breakfast. Matthias

We had such a fantastic stay with Scott and Lynn who were so very helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay special for my partner's 30th birthday. The room was superb and the location close to all amenities. They even let us keep our bags until our later train which was so thoughtful. Cannot recommend staying here any higher. Thank you Scott and Lynn for a fantastic weekend.

We booked to see the ‘Endless love’ show at the theatre; which was amazing. Finding somewhere to stay was easy by seeing their reviews. The Babbacombe Palms has lived up to its reputation. A lovely welcome on arrival. Fantastic room and an extremely comfortable big bed. Everything you could wish for, even bedside lamps with usb chargers built in. Breakfast was one of the best and being a vegetarian and my partner a meat eater, Lynn and Scott provide top ingredients cooked to perfection. Thank you for making my birthday stay amazing. We will be back xx

Great location and welcoming hosts, also parking relatively easy this time of year though it may be busier in full summer. Good frequent bus service 22 to Torquay and Paignton (every 15 mins on Mons to Sats and every half hour on Sundays) which I made use of.
Derek J — Google review
Given ground floor room on request, owner moved her car allowing us to park right outside, short walk to Babbacombe and sea front view. Very dog friendly and close to pubs, restaurants and cafes. Very good breakfast. Not far from bus stops. Very friendly and helpful.

We had a room on the 2nd floor (no lift). Room was comfortable but en-suite facilities were under par with basin in the main room and shower and loo in the en-suite. Shower cubicle was on the small side and shower not very powerful. Service was excellent and friendly. Location was good, being a short walk from the Babbacombe front. Car parkng is on-street, so luck of the draw.

Nestled atop a hill, The Robin Hill Hotel is a delightful Edwardian gem that offers guests an inviting blend of comfort and charm. Just a short ten-minute stroll from the bustling harbor, this bed and breakfast boasts stunning views of the lush Torwood Gardens. Guests can unwind in the modern lounge or savor delicious meals in the bright dining room. With complimentary Wi-Fi and breakfast included, visitors are treated to fresh fruit platters, pastries, and expertly cooked dishes each morning.
Well we really enjoyed our stay here. Please note it doesn't serve dinner only breakfast mad does have a bar. The hotel is ideal for the sea and all the bars and restaurants. Local buses for all the attractions you need to see are just out on the Mian road. I have to say the manageress was fantastic and a real asset for this hotel. We had some laughs at the bar at night time. You pre order your breakfast which was the first time I have done this and it wasn't an issue. It was always fresh, as what you ordered they went out and bought. We had great laugh when the chef was trying to get my wife's boiled eggs right. Don't think I have ever laughed so much at a breakfast. Overall it does need some attention outside but it's a lovely old hotel and would we go back yes 👍
Joseph A — Google review
We had a last min change of mind and decided to stay another night in Torbay, Robin hill had availability and looking at the reviews we thought this would be a great place to stay and the prices were much cheaper than the big chain hotels who for some reason wanted me to book 2 rooms for a family of 4. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and perfect for us, 2 adults 2 children one double tow singles. Free bottles of water in the fridge with soft drinks available for a small charge. Proximity to Torquay harbour/Town Centre/Theatre is spot on, you could walk or take a very short drive. Location is great in the more affluent part of Torquay, set in what would have been a very grand house in its day. We had the included breakfast which you reserve the night before. Wow! The quality was fantastic, all of ingredients were very good quality, no cheap sausages or bacon here I’m glad to report. Eggs Benedict for my Wife again very well presented and top quality. Plate of fruit and chocolate crepes for the kids, again all good and empty plates all around. We would recommend Robin hill and when we visit again will be booking here.

Had a great stay at the Robin Hill guest house. Our host was very welcoming and shared the history of the building with us. There were great views over the town. Our room had everything we needed for a short break, was conveniently situated for the centre of town but far enough away for the bustle of a busy weekend to not be noticeable. Breakfast was amazing, staff were all pleasant.

Excellent location, near the Marina with lots of restaurants and bars. This is a beautiful hotel with a century and a half of history behind it. Cleanliness was of a superb standard throughout the hotel, rooms had everything to ensure a comfortable stay. Jessica welcomed us and gave us our keys, a really lovely lady! Breakfast was absolutely delicious and cooked fresh, to a very high standard. The fresh fruit platter was plentiful, fruit juices, pastries and other breakfast items were available. This Hotel is an absolute gem and the staff, Jessica, Helen and Vincent couldn’t do enough for us. This hotel stay really has been wonderful and I cannot remember the last time I stopped in a boutique hotel where the staff were so amazing! There is plenty of parking on the driveway - the drive is steep but manageable. We will definitely be visiting again - one of the best, if not THE best boutique hotel I have ever stayed in.

Best service I have received Exquisite breakfast included (which is rare in Devon after thorough research) Very accommodating Dog and baby friendly Free parking Excellent location, close to the seafront Service: I travelled to Torquay for a night before going on a family holiday nearby. Myself, partner, baby and a dog. I called in advance to ask about accommodating a baby and a dog and he even rearranged a couple of rooms so we could. I even got a cheaper rate than buying online. My dog isn't so great with being left in our room for breakfast so the owner put a table and chairs etc in the bar room where my dog could join us. The breakfast was amazing, exactly what you need, plus extras all included (hot and cold drinks, buffet). All table service. Rooms: We had the more budget room of the hotel which is what we needed and could afford. Very clean room, bed was comfy. Only a couple of things they could improve on: - in hot weather an extra fan is needed, as I unfortunately didn't sleep to well. They may have supplied an extra one, I didn't ask. - the decor could do with a little TLC Location: Perfect, it's towards the top of a hill but next to a medium sized dog friendly park, with plenty of street parking (paid parking), near cafes, local co-op, pubs (none of which you can hear in the rooms). 5 mins down the hill we were at the seafront. Overall I'd honestly recommend.

Lovey comfortable bed and a really tasty breakfast which is just what you want. The owners were welcoming and really friendly. The room was clean and the view from our room was stunning. Only downside we found was with the shower, which was inconsistently hot and then cold but didn’t phase us on a boiling hot day when we wanted to cool down. Thanks a lot for the lovely stay

Lovely hotel with lots of beautiful Edwardian detail. We've really enjoyed our stay. The Robin Hill is very conveniently situated as it's only a short walk down to the harbour, the seafront and the town centre. Very comfortable, well appointed room. It was nice to have the lounge to sit in as well. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the cooked items were very well done. Charming, helpful host. We couldn't ask for more!

The Downs, Babbacombe is a charming family-run seafront B&B located in Torquay, United Kingdom. The property offers 11 warm and inviting rooms, some with balconies overlooking the sea. Guests can enjoy a delightful dining experience at the on-site restaurant and bar or indulge in delicious treats at the ice cream parlour. The hotel's dog-friendly policy and provision of dog bowls make it an ideal choice for pet owners.
Fantastic! Such a warm welcome to begin with Ed, Kath and the team got us sorted and into our room hassle free. The room was great! Everything you want or need from a hotel, with an absolutely stunning view from the balcony (see pictures). We don’t feel the rooms being serviced daily is needed but, the guys were happy to work around us when we felt it was needed! Showers are a big thing for me and the shower was great, decent pressure and temperature with ample towels provided - towels were like bath sheets which is great for the larger man. Bed and pillows were so comfortable and had the stamp of approval from my 28week pregnant partner! The location was quiet, with just the sounds of the waves at night, to gently soothe you to sleep. Breakfast - this was absolutely phenomenal- great produce, much of which I understand is local cooked to perfection. It’s not a surprise that they were given awards for it All in all ✅ The location is fantastic ✅ The team were wonderful ✅ The facilities were great ✅ The beds are pregnant lady approved ✅ The breakfasts are phenomenal Honestly if you need a break, in this beautiful part of the country, you can’t go wrong with The Downs Babbacombe!

We stayed in this beautiful hotel over the summer half term and absolutely loved it! The view from our room and balcony was incredible and you could see right across to Sidmouth on a good day (and with some binoculars)! The surrounding area with the cliff train, beach, hotels, gardens, theatre and bars makes you feel like you're somewhere in Spain; such a wonderful holiday atmosphere! The hotel itself offers outstanding service and it's old-fashioned charm and attention to detail made you feel like you were going back in time (in a good way)! The bedrooms we're very comfortable and well thought out so you had everything you wanted. We felt it was really excellent value for money! In particular we loved the attention to detail including: - The outstanding breakfast (we have been to many hotels, including much higher rated hotels, with not as good a breakfast!) - Room service (including being able to have breakfast on the balcony!) - Being able to order pretty much anything you could want for breakfast or at any other point! - The table, chairs and cushions on each balcony - The little ice cream parlour/outdoor seating - The little bar - The local art in the dinning room - The 'proper' table service (ie. Linen/ice buckets/formal table settings/very kind and attentive waitress) - Very well trained and attentive staff who want to look after you (including even changing uniform to clean the bedrooms!) Overall, this is a gem of a hotel and one we immediately wanted to go back to!

We have just spent an amazing week at The Downs. From first stepping in the door the staff were so helpful, friendly and always went the extra mile to make our stay so amazing. The food was out of this world, I'm sure Gordon Ramsey was in the kitchen. Our room was spotless and the view from the balcony overlooking the sea will always be imprinted in our memories. Working in devon for a couple of days caused a short notice stay at this hotel. What a great find! Such a lovely place with fantastic view of the sea front. Easy parking directly behind. The whole place is spotlessly clean, bedroom tastefully decorated to a high standard with a really comfy bed. The staff and the management are friendly and helpful - They clearly take great care about their business. The breakfast was top notch- yogurts, fresh fruits, followed by a quality full english - I was hungry :) I would definitely return here if I'm in the area..

We had a very pleasant stay at The Downs - it was clean and well maintained, all the staff were friendly and the owners couldn't have been more helpful. When planning our next visit to the area we will start by checking room availability at The Downs.

Immaculately clean rooms, heated pool, plenty of space to spend time indoors if it's raining (a pool table, a lounge with a TV and a games console, a licensed bar and a dining area where you can eat your own food, like a takeaway), but above all the most welcoming host and proprietor Kelly. Simon and Steph are great hosts. Friendly and really helpful. Steph is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the local area. She suggested loads of places to visit and even suggested how to get there using public transport. My partner and I jumped on the local bus service and purchased a day rider for £7 each for the day. Well worth it as you can hop on and off any Stagecoach bus within a wide area. We went from Torquay to Paignton to Brixham, lovely day out. Room was lovely and clean. Tea/coffee making facilities and TV. Bed was comfy. My partner and I stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis and the breakfast was fantastic. Full English breakfast: Bacon, Sausage, eggs, beans, hash browns, mushrooms and tomatoes. Toast was also available along with cereals. Orange juice was also on the table. All in all my partner and I had a fantastic 2 days in Torquay (pity about the weather as it rained for the 2 days we were here) but we shall definitely be staying at the Atlantis again. Thank you Simon and Steph 😃
Richard W — Google review
I spent 4 nights at Atlantis. When I booked the holiday, I spoke to Steph, who was very friendly. If I needed to e-mail Steph about my booking, Simon replied very quickly, which I found helpful. Steph and Simon own this guest house and live below it. Upon arrival, Steph greeted me with the biggest smile. She gave me a load of leaflets and flyers, and told me about Torquay. She gave me a ‘what to do’ guide and advised what buses to catch and recommended places to eat at. I thought this was fantastic service. The guest house is a 10min walk to the seafront. It is surrounded by many shops, such as convenience stores, cafes, pubs, Indian takeaway, chippy, pizza, bakery, etc. Steph and Simon provide a cooked breakfast every morning (at extra cost), but due to there being many cafes in the area, I decided to go out for breakfast. I recommend @cafedelmar. The guest house is cosy and clean. My room was spacious, the TV worked very well with plenty of channels to watch. There was a hairdryer and fan in the cupboard and wifi connection was good. There is an iron and ironing board on the floor above and tea/coffee making facilities in the room (no biscuits). I am always grateful to have an ensuite bathroom, but this ensuite was very small. You couldn't walk around in it. You open the bathroom door and take one step in to sit on the toilet and another step to get into the cubicle shower. I am very slim and I struggled a bit with the small space. My first evening at this guest house went very well, but what I experienced the next day, changed everything for me. I got up at about 7:00am and was getting ready. It was coming up to 7:30am and I thought I would iron my clothes. Please note – I was still getting ready and wouldn’t have actually gone out until about 8:00am. I went to use the iron, but it didn’t work. Whenever hotels provide a cooked breakfast service, they normally start serving breakfast from 7:30am, so I assumed that Steph would be awake. I did her doorbell. When she came up, I couldn’t believe what I saw. Her face was like thunder. I am surprised she didn’t come up with a shot gun! I explained that the iron wasn’t working and as I spoke, she looked as though her life had been turned upside down. This woman went from being Mary Poppins to Dracula! Due to her looking so distressed, I apologised, and she said, ‘I wanted a lie in today’. She then checked the iron and saw that it didn’t work. Again, due to her looking as if her life had been torn apart, I kindly said ‘don’t worry, I’ll sort something out’. She then had the cheek to look at the top I was going to wear and said, ‘that doesn’t even need ironing, I’m going back to bed’. When I look back and reflect on this, I think Steph was very unprofessional and rude! I was a PAYING customer. My payment included, making use of the facilities that were provided. If I can’t iron my clothes at 7:30am, should I have twiddled my thumbs to wait for her Ladyship to have her lie in, first? If I ran a guest house and a customer called me at 7:30am with the same issue, I would feel bad that an electrical appliance which I have provided, has failed to work. The first thing I would’ve done is, got my own iron for them to use, so they could get ready and get on with their planned day. I wouldn’t have made them feel bad for calling me, because that is what a hotel manager/owner is there for! After this incident, I didn’t see Steph again. I heard her knocking on my neighbour’s door to have chats with him, but not a single ‘how are you getting on’. On my last day, I was expecting Steph or Simon to come up, or at least leave a note in my room to say, ‘thank you for staying with us, when checking out, please leave your key here’. I got nothing, no communication whatsoever! What a contrast from the welcome shower I got! Torquay is full of hotels. They are next door to each other and you see them on every street. If a customer has chosen to stay at your hotel, wouldn’t you even thank them for choosing you? I will definitely be coming to Torquay again, but I will never stay at Atlantis again.

Lovely guest house, very convenient to get into Torquay as only a 10 minute walk away. Lovely host called Steph who couldn't do enough to help us enjoy our stay! She told us the best places to visit and also took us to a road we could park our car for free! Fantastic! Our room was clean and comfortable and lovely and quiet too. There are a few pubs nearby and a shop just up the road which was really convenient. All in all a lovely stay.

Very homely made Very welcome upgraded to a first floor room so I didn't have to climb too many stairs. Help with baggage and pleasant and cheerful proprietor. Lots of takeaways nearby, shops and off-licence, so handy for bus to town centre and train station. Definitely will return

The Book Fairies chose this B&B based on its location, as we were part of the Agatha Christie Festival, but wow it’s so much MORE than it’s amazing location - Steph is the kindest, most helpful and knowledgeable host, she suggested so many trips and restaurants that we are so grateful to her for. The breakfasts were perfect, she catered for different dietary requirements and was so flexible. The eggs at breakfast are to die for! The rooms are comfortable and clean, lovely to stay in. It’s a quick 5 minute walk from the sea and then another 10 minutes to the harbour and town, and there are also regular buses nearby. We will definitely be coming back - what a success!

The Blenheim House is a bed and breakfast in the center of Torquay. The rooms are comfortable and fully equipped with a private bathroom. The hosts are welcoming and offer tea and cake when you arrive. There is a wide variety of breakfast to choose from, all prepared to order. This is definitely a hotel worth visiting!
We have just returned from a second visit to Elaine and lee s top quality bed and breakfast . Beautiful breakfast ,spotless rooms with lots of lovely finishing touches. The homemade cake is delicious . This bed and breakfast is a credit to Elaine and Lee . Will definitely return.

We have just returned from our second stay at Blenheim House and were thoroughly impressed on both occasions. Elaine and Lee are great hosts, very welcoming and friendly. There was a great variety for breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. The homemade cakes by Elaine that were left in our room was also a lovely touch to the stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and had a fabulous stay overall, couldn't recommend it enough! Tanya and Keith x

Elaine and Lee made it feel like a home from home the moment we stepped in the door. Lovely room with welcome treats and everything you could possibly need, as well as being spotlessly clean. Breakfast with local products was one of the best we have ever had at a B&B. Will be the only B&B we would consider when staying in the area again!

We always stay here when visiting Torquay. In fact, if this B&B is full, we wouldn't come down until it's available. The rooms are spacious and all en-suite. Clean and well decorated. A wide selection for breakfast and freshly cooked. Elaine and Lee are friendly and welcoming. This place deserves its 9.9 rating on TripAdvisor.

Another delightful stay at Blenheim House, clean comfy room, Very comfy bed, delicious breakfast, plus Elaine are Lee are super-welcoming and accomodating. Blenheim House is simply "Where wer estay when we're in Torquay." 10/10 will def. stay again x

An immaculate, sweet and friendly bed and breakfast in a great location. From the moment we arrived, Elaine and Lee were attentive, kind and helpful. The room was beautiful and the extra little touches in the room made it really special for us. We didn't make it to breakfast because we either weren't hungry or awake, which was a shame as I imagine it would have been excellent as they were happy to cater all dietary requirements. This place is a real gem with warm and inviting hosts. Don't hesitate to book Blenheim House for your stay in Torquay!

Excellent all round. Elaine and Lee, are so welcoming and friendly. Welcoming guests with delicious homemade cakes. Rooms are spotless, Breakfast cooked by Lee, absolutely gorgeous. Nothing is too much. Ideally located, just a walk away from Torre Abbey, the beach and the famous Grand hotel where Agatha Christie written some of her novels. Definitely would return.

When we first arrived we were greeted by Elaine and Lee our hosts. It was an honest and caring enthusiastic welcome which started our week long stay just right. Elaine made sure we knew the areas the restaurants and ensured we were looked after. Lee was always really pleasant knowledgable and helpful. Enjoy either home made fresh lemon drizzle cake or coconut cake waiting for you on your return back to your accommodation most days. The accommodation was clean ,the shared areas were really clean pleasant and with plenty of information of the local areas to ponder. Our room was comfy , homely and quiet. The guest house was full all the week we were there but it didn’t feel like it. It certainly didn’t affect the superb breakfasts , spaces or time waiting. The bacon and sausages were amazing quality all locally sourced along with the bright yellow eggs. The king size bed was really comfy. The beautiful area and sea air ensured a great sleep every night. Although this was our first trip back to Torquay in 30 years. We thoroughly enjoyed the area , the great location of the guest house and of course the fact we could park our car off street on the driveway. A real family feel, I honestly felt that if we had needed them in the middle of the night both Lee and Elaine would have been there for us. A superb stay thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us. Dave and Michelle

Guests can enjoy bright rooms with lovely garden views and indulge in a hearty breakfast served at individual tables each morning.
We totally enjoyed our stay here. Debbie and Richard are excellent hosts, always smiling and ready to help with any questions you may have. The Guest House is spotlessly clean. Our room was excellent and was just right for my small family of 3. The breakfasts were great too, there are plenty of items to choose from, there's even a continental option. On our last night we had a few drinks in the garden, lots of new furniture and new decking too. We're hoping to go back there next year. I recommend this B&B very highly. Bentley Lodge is the white building on the right in the picture.

Absolutely beautiful property. The hosts were a beautiful couple welcoming with a warm smile and some home cooked Rocky road and fudge. We also enjoyed the fruit cake that was packed with love for our journey home. Most beautiful highlight was the fresh flower displays all across the place and extraordinary hospitality. It truly felt like a nice holiday with such beautiful ambiance in the property. Highly recommend it and would choose over any other chain hotels. We also got accepted last minute and were slightly late to arrive, we got a comfortable night stay, without any fuss. Walking distance from train station and central.

Felt like home from the very first second. The room for three, although not the largest, was fully equipped including a freezer containing freshly filtered water and Debbie's handmade fudge. The garden has a nice seating area which we used on both evenings of our stay. Debbie and Rich are perfect hosts. Highly recommended B&B

It’s fantastic little Bed and breakfast. The host are so wonderful, friendly and welcoming. It’s hosted by a husband and wife. They were so helpful throughout our stay and before our stay even started. As we arrived to the B&B, both husband and wife greeted us with open arms which is so nice to see. You don’t often get that sort of welcome. The place itself is so cute and modern. All the room includes smart Tv, Alexa’s. Of course, the most important, it includes FUDGE! The fudges are homemade and fantastic. The B&B includes a really well maintained garden. It’s full of all sorts of vegetables, flowers and includes a pond. The price was relatively cheap compared to the other B&B’s. The place is really close to the beach, about 15 mins walk and amenities are so close. We were provided with such a personal service. If you are looking for a really nice B&B while in Torquay, this is a great option.

This place is a real gem in Torquay. The owners Debbie and Rich ensure you have everything you need to have an amazing stay. The decor is perfect and the array of fresh flowers add to the already amazing accommodation. The rooms are bright and airy and have everything you could possibly need including some very delicious home made tasty treats. Breakfast is cooked to order with an excellent menu to choose from, although if there is something extra you would like Debbie will happily provide it. The grounds are well maintained and car parking is off road. Torquay Town centre is a pleasant 15 minute stroll and there is plenty to eat, see and experience in the local area all within walking distance. We had an amazing 4 night stay made special by the care Debbie and Rich gave us. I can't wait for our next visit as I know it will be amazing. Thank you Debbie and Rich.

My family have just spent a short stay at Bentley Lodge, Torquay. We would rate our experience as 10/10. The owners were extremely welcoming, always happy to answer any questions or provide anything extra. For instance when we requested if we could eat in the garden, they provided extra plates, napkins, cutlery and glasses instantly. The rooms were very clean and tidy, lovely addition of a fridge with milk, in glass bottles and water. Also use of a fan, hairdryer, iron etc. Breakfast was lovely, using the idea of ordering the night before and times to eat. The food was well presented, hot and delicious. Also the addition of homemade cake and fudge was lovely.

We are visiting from New Zealand and stayed at Ashleigh House during our trip. Our stay was exceptional, Steve and Jan were great hosts. They were very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was great. We had the full English and it was the best we have had during our visit to the UK. Our bedroom and ensuite were spotless and the house had such a friendly vibe. I would thoroughly recommend anyone visiting Torquay to stay at Ashleigh House.

Ashleigh House delivered that in spades - plus our room was comfortable and had everything we needed and our hosts were friendly and generous - and breakfast was out of the park. Totally recommend this as a place to stay.

I stayed at Ashleigh House only one night, on the 9th September, with my mom, my 2 brothers and our miniature Yorkshire Terrier. We had room 1 which is a quad room, with 2 single beds and 1 double. I must say it's probably the best service received in a holiday house. Jan and Steve are lovely people, looking themselves after the guests and the cleaning, which is impeccable. They even placed in the room a bed and a food and water bowl for our dog. We also had in the room a kettle, coffee, sugar, tea and bottled water as the weather it was quite hot. The bathroom is separate, between ground floor and 1st floor, but only we had access to it. However, in the room it's a small sink, and they also provide lots of towels. Breakfast it's cooked from fresh, with plenty of options for everyone, so I do recommend you to pay a bit extra and book it together with your room, it's worth it. Location wise, it's about 5 min walk from town, were you have plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, and it's about 20 min walk to the nearest beach. We were very happy with everything Jan and Steve offered and I will strongly recommend it to anyone who is visiting that area. If we have the chance we will definitely return.

A lovely guest house which has recently been taken over by a really nice, friendly couple. Everything was spotlessly clean and on the day we arrived all the beds were getting brand new mattresses which meant we had a comfortable nights sleep. Our room had everything we needed and the owners told us that they are starting to upgrade and update the whole place. Breakfast had a huge choice and the Full English was fantastic. We have already booked to go back :-)

The Crown Lodge Hotel is a straightforward B&B located in an Edwardian house. It offers comfortable rooms, a delicious full breakfast, and complimentary WiFi. Families or those traveling with kids often choose to stay at this hotel as it provides a relaxed atmosphere and affordable prices. The establishment has recently changed ownership but continues to excel in hospitality. The new owners are attentive hosts who go above and beyond to ensure guests' satisfaction. The breakfast served is exceptional, and the rooms are spacious and impeccably clean.
We stayed here for 6 nights in July 2021. We had an absolutely fantastic stay, the hosts (Claire & David) were absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough to help and make you feel welcome. The room was spotless and a good size, has really nice facilities in the room (safe, fan, iron, ironing board and TV). The breakfast was delicious with plenty of different options to choose from. The hotel is only a 15 minute walk from the seafront, which is an added bonus! It really felt like a home away from home. I am looking forward to staying again on our next trip to Torquay. Finally, thank you for making us feel so welcome and making our stay so delightful

This place does not really have paying guests now. They let people stay by paying monthly. My daughter and her ex stayed for a couple of months. My daughter wanted to leave as Claires daughter stays there Who is very unstable and on class a drugs. They would not let and still not letting her get her belongings. When she tried to get her items back they started to throwing stones at her car . I would suggest to anyone to find alternative accomodation

Very lovely people, and lady serving breakfast 😊

Claire and her husband couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming! My wife and I stayed in Room two downstairs. We chose this hotel based on access as it can be tough to find someone who caters for someone who has to use a power chair to get around. This place was great, ramped access to the front door, lowered threshold and a small wet room in the bedroom, the only thing that got in the way was a glass shower screen, and on request, this was removed. On our final night before going home, we had a Chinese meal, and Claire kindly let us use the breakfast area to eat. My wife and I will be back in the future and may consider bringing the family to stay too. Thanks again for an enjoyable weekend.
Chris H — Google review
It was the worst place we have ever stayed in, it simply ruined 3 days of our holidays. Absolutely no wifi or reception, we were completely disconnected from the world in our room; no measures for COVID: people were seated next to the other super crowded during breakfast. We were confirmed ahead of time that the extra bed was a good real bed, which wasn't true (tiny foldable uncomfortable bed). The house is located on the road and we couldn't sleep because of the noise. All these could be tolerated, but the worst part was how the stuff treated us. We never experienced such a rudeness and greediness. Due to sleepless night, I asked for a large coffee and was given "a lecture" how I should have my coffee, e.g., I should be happy with the tiny espresso I got. She said that if I want more, I have an instant coffee in my room. I couldn't believe my ears! Should I leave my family during our holiday breakfast and go to the room to prepare myself a coffee?!! Then they commended on everything we were asking for breakfast in an extremely rude way. We were told to have 1 croissant per person in a buffet table, they were literally standing and watching! One of the croissants was from yesterday or even before, it was super dry, so we wanted to take another one instead and we were told off!!! Our son asked for 2 eggs for breakfast and they refused. My goodness, what is that management? The only thing that was not counted, was bread, and since we don't eat one, we were hungry after such a breakfast. We took 1 fruit each from a buffet and had to rush out because it took them 40 minutes to bring our food, so the woman chased us to the stairs shouting that we have to eat it in the breakfast room and not on the way out!!! She literally chased us for this, I was shocked! How a place can treat the guests this way? Greedy, shameless people, sorry we had to experience that on our family holidays.

We stayed at the Crown Lodge for 4 nights in July. Our room (Room 6) was lovely. Well decorated, well maintained and spotlessly clean. As other reviewers have said, the attention to detail is very good. The owners of the hotel are very nice people, and are a wealth of useful information. They are always available if needed, but are not at all intrusive. The breakfast was a work of art! it was perfectly cooked and presented every morning. We can wholeheartedly recommend a stay here, as we will do if we return again to the area.

Karen an absolutely amazing host, so calm and friendly, everywhere so clean, Karen and southbourne villa would win top marks on 4 in a bed! The breakfast was much needed after a few drinks the nights before, we stayed 3 nights and did not want to leave, we were in rm 7, the shower was a double shower, but the shower was not overly powerful, all rooms were en-suite, the walk into torquay was so nice but I would recommend a taxi back, we used bay taxi's at a reasonable price around £7-£8, our room was a nice seaside theme, the mattress was a little soft for me but i slept, the radiator was fully adjustable and plenty of windows that could be opened, our view wasn't the sea but the little courtyard with lots of greenery and bird song, plenty of parking, little fridge in our room which was handy, the breakfast was the best we had ever had! Fresh cut up fruits, seeds, nuts, yogurt, cereals, porridge, all the jams and sauces, Karen had handmade whisky marmalade and lemon marmalade both tasted amazing, you could have a choice of a few breakfasts and smaller breakfast items too, absolutely nothing to complain about! Southbourne villa felt very homely, Karen likes her ornaments/antiques and pictures, with some quirky items thrown in to look at, thanks Karen we will definitely be coming back!

Brett and beautiful daughter's thank you so much for accommodating us and making us feel like old friends. We'll definitely be back.

Just returned from a 2 night stay, room was exactly as described on website. Breakfast was very good. Our dog was more than happy too. Owners pleasant and welcoming. Would definitely stay at this establishment in the future.

Do not stay here the owner is very arrogant. We did not stay because of his behaviour. We are still dealing with booking.com regarding this! He has sent a very aggressive message to my fiancée which I have included! Not a way to run a business?

Stayed here with my partner and our little dog during August. Brett and his family made us feel at home. The room was clean; well furnished with shabby chic decor. There was tea, coffee, and fluffy white bath towels. Not expensive to stay here. Close to restaurants, bars and the Rivera attractions. There are parking spaces outside of the hotel. They didn't charge for our little dog to stay for the whole week. The Newton House was the best place to stay at torquay and will definitely be returning. Thank you for an enjoyable holiday. 10 out of 10.

Had a very pleasant, wonderful stay! Brett and family were very welcoming, and the decor was very quaint and cute. We got served the best breakfast both days, like royalty! Thoroughly enjoyed waking up for the breakfast! They also went out of their way to accommodate us (we eat halal meat or vegetarian if that's not available) - they got us very tasty vegan sausages! Highly recommended

Felt very comfortable during my 2 weeks stay. The owners were accommodating (requests been granted most times). Very clean and loved the freshly cooked breakfast served in a hot plate. Bus and Train Station near the B&B. Would definitely recommend it.

We stayed here a few weeks ago and were very pleased with the staff and cleanliness of the guest house. The breakfast was great and a nice variety of things. The location was ideal as the town Centre is walking distance. There is also Asda just 13 mins walk. All attractions and beaches are very close by car .This is a must stay guest house, will definitely stay here again.

We are currently staying here for 2 nights. It’s such a nice lodge. From the clean rooms to scented toilet roll, enough tea bags to keep you going for a week and the kitkats! Us girls will certainly be staying here again if we are in Torquay!!

Great self service place. Very clever type of service which involves no staffs in this place. Generous and effcient kitchen here is a big advantage. Just the first entrance instruction should be clearer for new guests. Not everyone expect keyless entry and all that!

Torre Abbey, established in 1196, offers a fascinating journey through 800 years of history within its historic building and 7-acre gardens. The site showcases the life of a medieval monastery, its dissolution by Henry VIII, and its transformation into a museum and art gallery. The collection includes over 600 works from the 18th century to the present day, featuring pieces by renowned artists such as Holman Hunt and Burne-Jones.
Hidden gem in Torquay, I was looking up things to do near by our hotel (premier inn on the seafront) and this was basically right next door so decided to visit. Beautiful building with an interesting history and so many interesting art pieces and places to explore. Was pretty reasonably priced to get in, especially considering how much there was to explore. Giftshop was also lovely with some lovely handmade pieces and plants available to buy that they grew on site :)

Good place to spend a couple of hours. Enjoyed the history, the Abbey story , art exhibition and Georgian dining room. Take note of the gates as you enter with the swans on top , you'll learn about these inside. Cafe , toilets and lift on the premises so accessible to all. Oh and beautiful gardens to sit and relax in.
Warren H — Google review
It's a beautiful historic site with plenty to look at. Inside there are several floors with art, antiques and information galore. Outside in the gardens the scenery is stunning, the flowers were colourful and fragrant. I could happily spend the whole day exploring the site. There is lots to look at and explore.

Really lovely experience - the staff were friendly, the curation was interesting and innovative + had a genuine feeling of exploration (as it’s all a bit windy and topsy tervy). Liked the element of having actors on the top floor history section + the moving dinner table characters. Felt really thoughtful - A couple things were out of order but appreciated the space all the same - would definitely go back. Did try to strategically avoid the school group as a bit raucous but don’t begrudge kids learning aha

Hidden gem in Torquay — don’t miss it! Absolutely loved our visit to Torre Abbey! The whole place has such a unique mix of history, art, and odd charm. The poison garden was a total highlight — eerie, fascinating, and full of surprises. You don’t often see that in historic sites. We ended up spending way longer there than expected, reading all the signs and spotting deadly plants! The art gallery upstairs was another treat — a great mix of historic and contemporary pieces, all beautifully displayed. It feels like a proper cultural space, not just an afterthought. Friendly staff, peaceful atmosphere, and lots of quiet corners to explore. Highly recommend if you’re in Torquay and want something that’s not just beaches and fish & chips.

10% of for visitors staying at any of the TLH hotels. Each art piece was perfectly curated and looked stunning. The gardens were delightful even on a grey day. Staff were friendly and helpful. You are more than welcome to use the images. 🙂

Evocative abbey ruins, beautiful gardens, a 17th century mansion filled with art treasures - there was so much of interest to discover here, and it was only five minutes walk from my hotel! I spent about three and a half hours here, but could easily have stayed longer. The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the young lady in the gift shop who greeted me and explained what there was to see and where to find it. I visited the abbey ruins first; they date from 1196, and have an impressive gateway with detailed stone carvings. There are info boards that let you know which part of the original medieval abbey you're standing in. I loved strolling around the gardens; their well-kept borders were filled with exotic plants and colourful dahlias, and there's a pergola and ample seating. There are a few uneven steps, but it's mostly smooth and level gravel paths. The giant cactuses are well worth a look, and children will love spotting the "wild animals" in the tropical palm house! The museum has four floors with quite a lot of rooms, but there are wheelchair ramps and a lift. Some fine paintings - I especially liked the landscapes - and sculptures displayed in spacious galleries. The exhibition of automatons was fun, and I enjoyed eavesdropping on the dinner conversation in the Regency dining room. But best of all was the 800 year timeline that tells the abbey's eventful story through printed info, artefacts, interactive displays, touchscreens, and dressing up in period clothes. The little café only appeared to be serving drinks and biscuits at the time I visited, but there were some picnic tables in the grounds, and also a nice gift shop. Torre Abbey is well worth a visit, and it's only a short walk from the seafront.

Accommodation options include rooms in the main inn, beach suites, beach huts, and self-catering cottages.
What kind and beautiful staff! Stopped in for a hot chocolate on a lovely sunny day. The Terrace has beautiful views across Babbacombe and it was just a lovely experience. The staff were wonderful - there was nothing they wouldn't do - and they were smiley and kind. Lovely food, lovely place, lovely people. Thank you! (Super shout out to Kane, who was our main member of cheerful staff - thank you!)

We booked a mini-honeymoon at the Cary Arms in one of their beach huts. The beach hut was amazing, with fabulous sea views. All the staff were helpful and friendly, especially Olivia. Breakfasts were brilliant with amazing quality food. The only (minor) criticism is that the coffee could be slightly better. We ate in the restaurant twice, and both times the food and the service were excellent. We used the spa twice, once for a general relax, and once for a massage - Rachel was great in the spa. The valet parking worked really well. There is a fairly steep hill to walk up to get into town, but that’s the price of the brilliant views (plus, it helped walk off some of our calories from the excellent food) My partner even saw Sammy the seal when she went for a swim in the sea. Overall, we had a brilliant time and would certainly come back. Recommended!

Beautiful views, dreadful road in and out. No free parking. Food fresh and made on the premises. I had a vegetarian pasta dish which was nice but seemed overpriced at over £20. Service was excellent, attentive without being obtrusive and the staff were delightful.

We stopped for lunch, it was ok, nothing special. Soup is very unspectacular with one minimal piece of of thin bread, it was just all about underwhelming. Great views and lovely area, nice to stop here for a drink. Service was very strange, served by three different people, could’ve been better.

Disappointed. We booked a table for a family special lunch but were so disappointed at the menu choice. I’m vegetarian and don’t enjoy pasta ( the single vegetarian choice) so had to have a cheese sandwich. Not what I’d expect for a hotel with this reputation. The table was sticky, the service slow, and the bill was expensive- not worth it frankly. I understand this place is currently for sale- I can see why. Disappointing.

The area is known for its laid-back atmosphere and beautiful beaches such as Abbey Sands, Baddicombe Beach, Oddicombe Beach with its colorful beach huts and bistros, and the hidden gem of Ansteys Cove.
In my experience, Membership is Impossible to cancel! You can't cancel at the club. You must ring a special number and listen to the worst brain pain music that eventually stops after 25 mins or so and nothing....call again... Groundhog Day! No recourse. I am paying £47 a month for something I haven't used for 7 months since my dog got sick. £47 includes the 'private online doctor' I couldn't register with, even with help from IT. Booking classes 14 days in advance was a sell, but turns out it's rare you can't get into a class on the day. Riviera gym is great, If you can't get there and don't want to leave in a hurry.
C B — Google review
The pool is great for children, you walk in with it gradually getting deeper like you are walking into the sea (especially when wave machine is on). There are water fountain stations which my baby loved watching spurt and tip out water at different speeds. There’s an assault course for rubber ducks and a pirate ship theme in a separate section to the main pool, and a further waterfall around a mini pool. There’s a water slide too but I don’t think this is always functional. It’s fantastic for kids. Reception staff were very helpful giving advice on membership etc. The down sides were the changing rooms - there is nowhere to get dressed with privacy as there are only single changing rooms with a curtain, no family size changing rooms to put your baby down safely while you dress. It would be a squeeze to be in there with an older child too let alone more than one child. Nappy bins need emptying. The water was supposed to be 31 degrees but was very cold so must have not been heated to the correct temperature. Unfortunately parking adds quite an additional cost and drinks are basic but expensive in the cafe. There is no accessible toilet apart from upstairs very far from the pool. Nowhere for you to go to the toilet and put your baby down or bring in the pram as toilets are too small. There is also a gym, conference rooms and cafe on site.

I was there on a guest pass the changing cubicles have curtains that give some privacy but hanging off the rail . The steam room looked like a crime scene because 25% of the seats were broken and yellow tape was on seats informing clients not to sit on them as they were broken. Staff young but lack communication skills
Christina G — Google review
Lovely centre and staff, just unfortunately the parking system was not updated in the best way. The signage for "Members Parking" was still showing, I took our two young daughters for their once a week swimming lessons. As a member parking was free if parked in the members area. I was surprised to receive 3 X £70 parking fines in one letter, some 3 weeks later. I wrote to Smart Parking giving them my Membership number, they denied the Appeal. I wrote again to POPLA with more supporting evidence of Signs Clearly showing "Members Parking Area". (see photo's) They refused to look at the appeal as it wasn't on their own appeal forms. (It was a typed letter). I sent it back saying on their appeal forms "see attached letter", this time they wouldn't look at the appeal and wrote back to say claim was out of the appeal date period. (It wasn't). After a flood of letters, and subsequent threating letters from 2 different Dept Collection Agencies over a three year period. I now have an upcoming court summons, which I fully intend to vigorously defend. How can a local leisure Centre Member, working for Torbay NHS, just trying to teach her young children the life skill of swimming, parked in a Members Area parking, which was free parking for Members. With clear Photo's of the Parking Area be harassed for over three years by Smart Parking, the parking providers for Riviera International Centre. I am sure I can't be the only one in this situation as the implementation of the ANPR parking system was far from clear. (There were not notices as you walk from the members free parking area into the Centres' reception area, see photographs). I would welcome any response from the Centres Management staff, as to why their members are subjected to this aggressive treatment from their chosen Parking Providers.

Warning you need to pay for the car park!! No problem with the facilities but the car park has a managed privately. Something I missed as I ran in late to play pickle ball with a friend.
Jayne F — Google review
Upon initiating membership cancellation, I understand that an additional month's payment is required. My inquiry to a staff member regarding this matter was met with a reference to the terms and conditions. It is also important to note that this requirement was not communicated during the initial onboarding process. Consequently, the obligation to pay for an extra month is perceived as unfavorable
Yogeshwaran S — Google review
Swimming pool and play facilities for the little ones absolutely great. Plenty of lifeguards too, great. Changing rooms are disgusting and in need of a revamp! I think paying for the parking too is absolutely disgusting, when you've jyst paid a whopping £7 to bleddy swim for 1 poxy hour.
Vicky B — Google review
The ERIC is the only decent place to swim in Torquay. The centre is used for conferences and events all through the year, but we only use the swimming pool and sometimes the gym. The pool is quite large (much bigger by far than any other pool in Torquay), it's clean and has a wave machine and a slide. Our children love going there, but it is a bit expensive at £18 for a family to swim. Would be good if there was membership for families.

Really lovely place. We found an offer they had on for dinner, breakfast and stay with a hot tub and so glad we decided to go for it. It was a gem of a place. The coach house was spotless and the hot tub with a view was lovely. The hotel was decorated so nicely and the food was incredible. Would definitely viait again!

Please be aware: I'm going to be thorough. Arriving from the north there was a very sharp hairpin bend to take you down to Orestone Manor (with slightly dated signage). No problem with ample parking spaces but the area could've done with a little TLC, especially as it's a 4Star establishment. Frontage was pleasant but slightly spoilt by clutter of signage and barriers. Reception was excellent (friendly, personable, professional and informative), as were the attitudes of other staff we met on the way to our room. Please don't get me wrong, everything was fine, but, it's just starting to edge into the "tired" zone with alot of pointless/uninspiring hanging pictures around the place. The room was at the top of the building, lovely views, peaceful and comfortable, though again a neither/neither (and a few too many signs around~ maybe just keep them in the welcome book). Again, all staff seemed friendly and good at their job, but let down by basics...like...breakfast. Each step was adequate, again, not what I'd expect from 4☆. Everything is done in miniature: half size croissants, cheap jams, twice cooked sausage and streaky bacon, half a small tomato and half a mushroom and small sliced toast (O.J and coffee both on the cheap side). Unfortunately we missed out on an evening meal, I would've liked to experience what was on offer. Overall either a great 6/10 or a disappointing 7/10 and I apologise, but please bear in mind, this is only 1 persons review. It really is a great location, especially for peace and tranquility and it could easily be elevated (without much effort).

Visited the terrace conservatory overlooking the gardens for an afternoon tea, giving excellent views across the gardens and out to sea, it was nice and quiet and were welcomed and seated by the windows... The service was excellent, friendly attentive staff who looked after us. We didn't have to wait long after our tea was brought out, the selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones were delicious. You can even choose your finger sandwich flavours ( we didn't like coronation chicken ) One thing I would have liked was a choice of teas however the tea was unlimited and we had a fresh pot halfway through our cakes! I liked the fresh strawberries touch. £25 per head ( Sept 25 ) was good value and the food quality was very good...with one exception - the scones themselves. They were dry and would have been better warmed but there was lashings of jam and clotted cream to compensate. There is a large terrace and lounge for all visitors to enjoy, there wasn't a hint of being rushed which was fantastic. I could have lounged around all afternoon. Would definitely recommend, didn't stay over but they do have 14 guest rooms, a cost bar and holiday accommodation.

Wanted a quiet boutique type hotel with excellent service and food. We were not disappointed. Our room was excellent, quiet rural location albeit close to many well known locations. Service was faultless and there is a superb lounge and outside patio balcony. Because it's a small hotel plenty of room for all. As an aside one evening ate in a well known local fish restaurant. Also had something similar at Orestone Manor a day or two after. Orestone's was far superior for both courses. Highly recommend and will be returning.

First visit but really enjoyed it, Excellent food and service. Room was very clean and comfortable and loved their idea of bottles of water available in fridge on landing. One minor comment though, room had one of the best hairdryers available but unfortunately (like quite a few other places) there was no convenient electrical socket near the mirror to sit and dry hair. However we will undoubtedly return.

Visited for Sunday lunch , excellent food and good value - beef was cooked to perfection. Exceptional and efficient service from nearly all the staff. One was quite condescending which was shame as everyone else was faultless.

I apologise that I've only scored 5 stars, it should be at least 10. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Admittedly we had one of the cottages with a Jacuzzi, it was fantastic. From the moment to arriving, with a lovely friendly greeting. We were taken to our cottage, everything was explained to us and how to use the various options. The food was spectacular and catered for our tastes. A good drinks selection and reasonable prices. The waiting staff, were friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. We will definitely book to stay again in the near future and hopefully for 2 nights next time. Highly, highly, highly recommended.

The hotel is rather lovely with good views, a lovely garden and terrace, It was so peaceful and quite outside. The food in the restaurant was truely excellent, genuinely one of the best dining experiences I've had in years and good value at the price offered. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was apparently the smallest in the hotel and so was rather simple so as to not make it feel crowded, we found it to be clean and perfectly well equiped. The shower was a decent size for me at 6'3.

Cimon Guest house is kept very clean by its owners . Bonus is a quiet swimming pool with sunbeds .The room was very noisy from the traffic even the ear plugs provided didn't work 😑 We were unable to leave the window open for a breeze and the room was very hot .Struggled to get asleep 😴 .The shower over the bath was very difficult to get in and out of , no grab rails or shower mat . Everything else about the Cimon guest house was delightful .Breakfast was a great choice including a full English .

We honestly felt like we were abroad and we cannot wait to return! The Reynolds family x

Great place to stay - wonderful service, truly above and beyond. Our room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and provided everything we needed - staying somewhere new can feel a bit pot luck, here it's EXACTLY how it should be! Breakfast was perfectly cooked (not at all greasy) and just the right portion size, spot on. Great to have proper, freshly percolated, coffee, too! If I was desperate to nitpick - the bathroom was a little on the small side and the shower only moderately powerful... That said, in both cases perfectly usable, and didn't detract whatsoever from our stay. Have stayed in many places in Torquay over the years and many have felt tired inside and out, didn't feel entirely clean (even if they were) and/or just didn't feel loved - the Cimon has been none of these things, very easily the best we've stayed in down here! Thank you!

The Crofton House Hotel offers a delightful spa experience, with guests praising the reasonably priced and well-maintained facilities. The indoor pool, sauna, and jacuzzi were particularly popular among visitors. While some mentioned minor issues like a slow steam room and occasional cleanliness concerns, most appreciated the added value of the spa amenities during their stay. Additionally, guests enjoyed spacious rooms with sea views and friendly staff who provided helpful service.
This hotel is a low budget hotel for travellers who want something cheap and cheerful but also with a great service. The owner looked after me by letting me select my room and keeping my bike and bags safe before check in and after checkout. The rooms have all the things that you need and they are beautifully warm, especially now in the winter. They have good cleanliness and the staff goes above and beyond to help you. The staff are the real star of the hotel. To be honest, I went because I wanted to use the pool and spa facilities however the only thing that worked well was the sauna. The steam room was never steamy enough; in fact it was cold. The pool was very shallow for kids only and the Jacuzzi was cold. The outdoor pool was closed for winter. So I only used the sauna once. Apart from that, I would go back to the hotel because it was in a nice location and again the staff were absolutely fantastic. There is no breakfast facilities and there’s only one little fridge for all the guests to use if they need it. It being a cheap hotel, it accommodated for people on low incomes and there were lots of different people around from various backgrounds; Overall I felt safe as a solo traveller and as a woman and I would go again.

Needs a revamp! Clean and tidy but very dated. Ballroom looked untidy, I know it wasn't accessible but first impressions. Shower backed up and overflowed if you showered for more than 3 minutes. Rooms were noisy as walls were very thin. I you're on a budget, it'll do. If you want a nice break, shop around.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Crofton House Hotel. We were greeted with a warm welcome at reception, which set the tone for the rest of our visit. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The hotel’s facilities are excellent — the indoor and outdoor pools, spa, terrace, jacuzzi, bbq facilities, and garden area made our stay extra relaxing. The location is also ideal, less than a 10-minute walk to the town centre. Great value for money — I would fully recommend staying here and would happily return!

The room was tiny, it was also run down. We had a few issues, the curtain came off twice twice. The first time we made the manager aware of this and that the shower was not draining quickly, he said he would get this sorted for us, when we returned he made us aware he had not done it yet but he would, when we got back late that evening the curtain was back up. The next morning we opened the curtain and it fell down again, frustrating and annoying, we also noticed that there was a tear in the side of the mattress, which shows even more that it is in need of some of attention. We made the manager aware again that the curtain had fallen down AGAIN and about the mattress, he said he would get this sorted and said he was surprised about the mattress. We came back and the curtain had not not been put up again and they had left some cleaning products in the room. With no curtain up to stop the light, meaning I was awake at 5.30am due to being a light sleeper was not until the following evening at around 6-7 pm that the curtain was put up again. We were made to feel that we were being difficult for asking for things, so we stopped raising concerns. The pool also had loose tiles on the floor so had hazards to potentially cut yourself, so we were careful but decided not to spend much time in here. We believe this hotel has a lot of potential to be a great holiday spot but was sadly disappointing during our stay.

Naveen the owner was incredibly accommodating, so eager to help with any request. The place is lovely especially the pool and steam room. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. We will definitely stay here again.

Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights. So from the start: parking isn't the best only enough for 6 cars but there is a long road at the entrance with free parking but it does get full. Upon arrival the host was very friendly and even carried our case to the room. The room and entrance to the hotel is all keyless which i thought was great. The room itself had everything you need in it and was comfortable. The shower is a bit small the walls are thin so can hear others. Could do with a fridge in the room but that's just my opinion. The hotel itself is clean but it is a bit dated but if they where to do this hotel up then the price would then go up so if your a snob go and pay the higher price of a hotel. There's a lovely sitting area at the entrance then a nice roof balcony. There's a nice sitting outside beside the outside pool. There's a hot tub but is no longer in use. Then you have the inside pool it's not heated but it's still nice attached with a jacuzzi. Then you have a steam room and sauna which was great but you just have to let the guy know you are going in and he will turn them straight on. ( I think this is just to keep costs down which is understandable). Then you have a pool table and dart board which is free to use. There is no bar or restaurant which allows you to just bring your own food and drink to have beside the pool. Location was great only about a 10 minute walk to the beach and town. About 9 minute drive to the local lidl. Overall a great stay i do have only 1 negative which was the pool table room gets closed off at 7pm when the guy on the desk finishes work. It would of been nice to have a few drinks on the night and few games of pool.

Do not stop here. We left and booked into another hotel. It was that bad. And worse than I'm allowed to type. Arrived at hotel for a 3 day stay for me and my partner. Comfort double room booked and paid for. On arrival there was 2 members of staff a male and a female. The male manager was friendly but busy. The female was dressed in her pajamas at 3pm and looked a mess. She didn't even look up say hi or welcome or even smile. Instead she was playing with her phone. We entered our room. My partner put her phone on the 1 and only bedside shelf, her side of the bed, the shelf fell off the wall. My side of the bed had a wardrobe next to my head it was clear the room was a single room. Tiny and not comfortable at all. The carpets throughout we filthy, like slime dirt and stained. The mirror had a TV aerial cable stung across it and to get a clear TV reception you have to move the aerial around. We immediately spoke to the male staff member who came to the room, Looked at the shelf and left the room. Basically telling us not to use it and leave it in the floor. We assumed something would be sorted so went to the indoor pool. On the way to the pool we started noticing building works throughout the hotel. The changing room wall had a hole in it, The supposedly heated pool was freezing cold and looked like dirty untreated water. We spent 2 mins in the pool and got out. At that point we went back to our room to get ready to go out. We found the shower door broke. The shower head was damaged and the Drain on the floor was broken which I only found out when I slipped on it and buised the bottom of my foot. We Went to reception and asked to be moved to another room. The male manager said he would try and see what he could do. But we would have to pay another £90. ( we checked booking.com and more rooms were still available) We went for a meal and hoped the manager would have it rectified the situation by the time we returned. When we returned to the hotel we enquired about the room change and informed the manager as to why we were not happy. The manager just looked at us. We went 1 whole minute just looking at each other awaiting for a response, he wanted us to scream and shout and we stayed calm Eventually he said he would try to speak to his manager. We stayed in our room that night but was unhappy as we did not sleep at all. The bed was small. All night all we heard was beeping coming from the keyless locking system on all doors in hotel. If you leave your door ajar. The beeping does not stop. The next morning we to decided to grin and bare it, and so decided to try the out door pool, but not before i realised there was only 1 toilet roll. I went to reception at 830am and couldn't find anyone, Anywhere in the whole hotel. So I went to the shop and brought a toilet roll. Right outside the hotel , i immediately noticed the road was full of glass, clearly where cars had been broken into. Whilst walking back from the shop i Witnessed drug addicts taking class A substances in the car park of the nhs property next door. The way to the pool the area was full of discarded fag ends on the floor and live mains cables trailing down the steps. major trip hazard with damaged floors Broken plant pots, paths blocked with overgrown bushes, which you have to push past. The pool and pool area was dirty and surrounded by empty beer kegs and rubbish. Including a broken pool cover discarded at the end of pool. We decided not to use the pool as it was not a relaxing atmosphere. We then started taking photos of the whole hotel as we were sure no one would believe us. On our way back to complain to reception, we met a very upset resident on the gf (f4)who was also in tears about her nights sleep. She too had complained and been ignored. We eventually found the manager who again just looked at us. At this point I had had enough. We packed our bags and booked another hotel and left. At this point the manager wanted to listen. Sorry too late. Do not stop at this building site. We have pics of all.

It is conveniently located near Abbey Park and Parish Church Of All Saints. Guests have praised the tastefully decorated rooms with clean en suite bathrooms and locally sourced breakfast items. The hosts are described as lovely and accommodating.
The Southbank has everything you need and more. It’s clean, spacious and well decorated. Danny and Delores clearly go above and beyond for the comfort of their guests. Breakfast was delicious and locally sourced, room was immaculate and location is perfect. Wish we had stayed longer to make use of the facilities; sun terrace and bar. Would love to stay again and will be recommending to friends.

Excellent venue, very clean, tidy and great choice of rooms including king size beds and added luxury king size bedrooms. Stunningly good breakfast with decent choices. Fantastic hosts. Limited parking at rear but generally not a big problem. Some on street parking available. Location is very handy for quick access to the town centre or seafront depending on which way you go after leaving the property. The one and only negative if you are in the front bedrooms is that Belgrave Road is very busy with lots of idiots racing up and down in cars and on very loud motorcycles. Up until around midnight. We were okay because we are very heavy sleepers, but the front bedrooms wouldn’t suit light sleepers.

A very friendly welcome when we arrived from Dolores, very accomodating, guesthouse is very tastefully done, has a slight vintage feel about it, breakfast was probably one of the best! Catered for vegetarians too! Perfect location with just a short walk to seafront, will definitely be back to visit, Mr and Mrs H

Our third year staying at Southbank Townhouse, excellent as always. Danny and Dolores are so welcoming, the rooms (and shared areas) they provide are spotlessly clean and well presented. Freshly cooked breakfast each morning is a highlight. Great location, just a short walk to the beach/marina area. We hope to be back again next year!

I had such a wonderful experience here. Alistair and Mel were both extremely welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were very clean, had space for all my necessities and clothing. The breakfast here was lovely with a selection of cereal and cooked breakfast. Alistair and Mel show a genuine interest in their guests and are happy to provide advice and insight into what to do whilst staying in the area. They have a way of making their guests feel at ease and I’m not surprised to have heard from individuals staying there that they have visited the property more than once and in some cases several times.

We had just one night stay, as we were going to a see a show. We were warmly welcomed by our host, asked if we had any food allergies etc We were then shown our room, which was comfy, clean and well equipped, with drinking water, tea, biscuits etc. The shower was powerful, with soaps, towels provided. Our breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, with extras available. We will definitely stay at Haven House again.

Love this B&B, Alistair and Mel are great hosts. Welcoming, friendly and helpful. We've come two years running and plan on returning next year. We've been very fortunate that the rooms have been ready upon arrival. Love the little touches they go out of there way to add and the breakfast is amazing! Really enjoy the fact we can either create our own or choose from a menu. Look forward to seeing you again 😀

I had a fantastic time. Rose and Marc go the extra mile to ensure you really feel at home. The best hosts I’ve ever had. Everything is always spotless, breakfast was exceptional. Me and my partner came at Christmas time and returned recently and haven’t got a bad word to say about the place or area. Great location and great travel links.

The check in and check out were friendly and welcoming. The layout of the room (room 9) is a bit weird with the TV off to the side wall and the folding door to the bathroom makes it a bit awkward I banged my arm a couple of times). The beds were lovely and comfortable. The power shower is also fantastic. The breakfast service was excellent and our overall stay wonderful. We will likely be back again.

We stayed here over the weekend. Marc and Rose did everything to make us feel welcome. The responsiveness of the hosts was excellent, the guest house was easy for me to access from the Newton Abbot train station - I joined the Bus 12 and it stops right in front of the guest house. The building is incredibly well maintained and clean. Marc greeted me at the door with a big smile and a firm handshake. He provided me with a map, showed me my room and the facilities, and explained how to reach them if I needed anything. He also provided a slip for me to tick what I wanted for breakfast. Because I had an early job interview, I asked if they could pack my breakfast and they kindly did - even though the meals are eat-in only. The scrambled eggs were soooo good! (Thank you, Rose and Marc for the kindness!) Staying here felt like home. The carpet in my room felt plush and soft to walk on. The bed was very comfortable, and there was lots of tea, biscuits, milk, coffee, sugar, etc in the room along with a kettle. It is summer, and the weather is hot, but I didn't melt because there was a portable fan in the room. Clean, fresh towels. Clean sheets. Standing mirror for my vanity. Lots of pamphlets at reception for touring the area if one wants to. The only issue I have with the guest house is the lack of a wheelchair accessible entrance. I wonder how they manage when disabled guests have to stay...

Place looks nice, but they do with being a bit more organised with bookings! We had booked here for Two nights and they had told us the room wasn’t free and that we had to go somewhere else with no prior notice. We were told that we had called two weeks before and said we had to move, but that was not the case as we had only booked it the week before and had not contacted the hotel in any way before we had turned up! But that was ok because the replacement hotel was superb, the Norwood!

At the end of the day it's a B&B. We had four of us in a single room with 1 X double and 2 X single beds. Not the type of place you want to be stuck in if the weather's bad. We had 3 days and each day we were out most of the day. In a low level room where the WiFi signal was poor and the mobile signal was really bad. Not a great TV in the room and like everything at the moment was quite expensive for what you get. The owner is a very nice guy, very friendly and the breakfast were really nice with a good range from a full English to fruit. Would definitely consider staying again on a short visit. Not great parking. There are a couple of spaces at the rear of the property but you have a few minutes walk to get round to the back

Just come back from a 2 night stay with family. We were a party of 8. Excellent accommodation spotlessly clean in the rooms and lovely white towels. Breakfast was cooked freshly to order. Really lovely couple who run the guest house so helpful and nothing too much trouble. We all agreed that we will be returning. Good location and car parking at the guest house.

Stayed at Mount Edgecomb for a work trip. The service and hospitality has been second to none. Both Darren & Jo have been so accommodating during my stay from ensuring the late check in was taken care of, to breakfast and comfort of room that we stayed in. A very homely, yet modern B&B. Thank you Darren & Jo.

Full marks from us! Absolutely lovely stay. Rooms spacious and spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee available within the room. Hosts Jamie and Yvonne, are super friendly and attentive with nothing too much trouble. Breakfast is amazing! So much choice and cooked to order. Set evening menu also available for prebooking. Such great value for the money. Looking forward to our next stay here!

Stayed here for two nights over the bank holiday weekend and absolutely loved it! The room is a great size, the location is nice peaceful and a quick walk to the train station and harbour! But the highlight are the wonderful hosts! They make the stay pleasant, enjoyable and are extremely hospitable! The breakfast is lovely! I recommend this place to anyone looking to have a nice time in Torquay and the nearby towns! You won’t be disappointed :)

It was our first time visiting Torquay, we stayed for 5 nights at Mount Edgcombe . The experience we received from our arrival to our departure was outstanding. Location was fab just a 10 minute walk to the beach . Jamie recommended some places to visit and gave us a map of the local area. The B& B was spotlessly clean throughout , breakfast was faultless with lots of variety. We have stayed at many hotels and this was by far one of the nicest . Jamie and Yvonne we will be back. Beautiful building with very welcoming hosts. Room was spacious and comfortable with some lovely little touches that made the stay even better. Delicious breakfast made with good quality ingredients and cooked and presented beautifully. Couldn't ask for much more from our stay.

We came here on a recommendation. Very friendly family run business. We had the top room, very large en suite. Scrupulously clean, free parking, great breakfast choices (which u need to order the previous day). Well appointed communal rooms and a gr8 terrace to chill on. But the main thing was the friendliness of the staff.

This is the third time we have stayed at The Shirley and once again Nick and Chen have made us feel really welcomed with their great hospitality. The Shirley is spotless and the beds are comfy. There is a great choice of breakfast with plenty of tea and coffee included. The Shirley is a lovely building with loads of character and is situated in a lovely part of Torquay near some fabulous restaurants. Thankyou Nick and Chen for a lovely stay

We had a lovely stay in The Shirley. Rooms are well equipped and beautifully presented. Nick and Chen are absolutely brilliant. On our last day I wasn't well and Chen really looked after me. The breakfast could not be faulted , great choices and really well cooked. If only Torquay wasn't so hilly we would be back 2 or 3 times a year. Unfortunately we are not as mobile as we used to be. We would thoughrally recommend this hotel

Could not have made a better choice! The owners were lovely. Room beautiful, so clean and perfectly equipped Breakfast amazing The only bit I struggled with, was up the slope, to the entrance tothehotel!! No problem when I was wearing my flats, slightly unnerving in heels!!!! A small price to pain for the fantastic quality/service/people on offer. Thank you so much, Nick and Chen

Myself and my wife just returned from a Monday to Friday break at the shirley. lovely victorian villa tastefully decorated, literally a 5 minute walk down into town passing a good choice of restaurants. our room was a really good size lots of storage space, bed was extremely comfortable slept really well, nice size bathroom with complimentary toiletries and big fluffy towels, shower was excellent. There were two small fridges in the room that some may find a little distracting at night, although we didn't, if so you can just turn them off. Breakfast was first class with a good choice, our full English was very tasty and cooked to perfection. Nick and Chen were really lovely hosts anything you required nothing was to much trouble. Definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

Me and my husband have stayed in many B&Bs but I can honestly say this place tops them all. Extremely clean room, the breakfast was incredible and the owners are extremely welcoming, they couldn't do enough for us. Location was great too with it being a very short walk into the town. We will definitely be staying here again.
Beth D — Google review
First impressions? We were blown away, not too high up on road side,a few steps to top to get to the door but manageable for us. ( Not for anyone with walking disability) Greeted by our host Nick, very nice polite chap, offering us a cup of tea in the sitting room before showing us to our beautiful room. TV,fridge and kettle. Bottle of water and milk waiting for you to use ,with coffee and tea in sachets along with biscuits for refreshments. Bed made up , en suite complete with clean towels every day and shampoo and body wash all ready to use in electric power shower. Breakfast in the dining room all done to your desire when seated, nothing too much trouble and our other host Chen was very kind and she advised on being patient to let our fresh coffee steep abit to get the most of the flavour. Fruit juices, cereals, toast, tea and coffee with either full English or adapted to have what you like on it, omelettes etc. Quiet location, fully recommend, you will not be disappointed.

Can’t rate this place highly enough! This was our second trip to the Albaston, the first being before covid, and we had an amazing stay both times. Kev and Julie are incredible hosts and nothing is too much trouble, guests are treated like friends. The room was lovely and clean with tea, coffee and water replenished daily. We had a lovely cooked breakfast every morning, cooked to order by Julie with good quality ingredients. There’s a fully stocked bar which seems to always be open, they’ve also opened a restaurant/ bar down at the harbour (Below Decks) and guests get 10% off. Definitely recommend both places if you’re after a fantastic stay in Torquay and we’ll definitely be returning!

We have just had a two night stay at The Albaston. We stayed in the Valentino room. It was very clean, spacious, comfortable with a good sized clean bathroom. Extra attention to detail was prevalent. Julie and Kevin have worked very hard and obviously pride themselves in providing a top class service. The Albaston is excellent value for money. The breakfast was outstanding and of exceptional quality. We have found a gem here to be able to relax, it had everything we required. So much so we have booked again. So pleased to have found you. Breakfast was amazing - we had the full English one morning and then selected from the other choices on the following morning. I had cinnamon toast with bacon and maple syrup - wow! Sharon was very welcoming, attentive and as first time visitors to South Devon, gave great recommendations for the area. The breakfast was delicious each morning, nothing was too much trouble and the homemade preserves were a lovely touch! Parking was conveniently located a short walk to the back of the B&B and despite being a tight squeeze we had no problems getting in and out each day. Would highly recommend. Jamie & Josh

The upscale bed & breakfast is conveniently located within a 5-minute drive of Torre Abbey and Torbay Hospital. Guests can enjoy the terrace with views and complimentary wireless internet access. This family-run AA 4-star-rated B&B provides spacious and exceptionally clean rooms, along with friendly service.
Lovely family run b&b, very friendly and literally couldn't do enough for us. The room was really big and exceptionally clean, the bedding smelt amazing like comfort or lenor. The bed was also so comfy that we had difficult getting up of a morning! Very quiet place to stay. Breakfast was nice and again the owners couldn't do enough for us, even told us that we could have veggie sausages. They also gave us use of the iron and ironing board when we needed it. The only minor minor minor detail that I did pick up on is how quiet the breakfast room is of a morning. It's quite awkward being in there with other guests when conversations and eating can be over heard at all times. Some guests were very shy and whispering so as to not draw attention to themselves. Low level back ground music would be helpful just to ease the awkwardness a little. Having said that, it did not take away from the experience as a whole and how lovely the family are who run this place. Highly recommend.

Excellent bed and breakfast, stayed here for 5 days with my husband and can't wait to return. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Bed was incredibly comfy, spotlessly clean and the breakfast was to die for. Loved having a carpark which was out of site from the main road as well.

Stayed here a couple of times a few years back when working in Torquay. I fell ill during my second stay and the staff could not have done more to show concern and assist in contacting my family and helping to get me home. Clean, comfortable rooms, not expensive, and a very good breakfast.
Edward C — Google review
An ideal location on Newton Road Torquay. The hosts were more than helpful, polite and respectful. We had a ground floor room. Which was very efficient in its function. Meaning a comfortable bed, Sky TV, walking shower and toilet, largebath towels and hand towels, large desk, set of 5 draws, small but adequate louvre doored wardrobe in a small recess. Bed side tables and lamps. All in all more than suitable fittings for your stay. This is an easy place to find, and has a restricted car park at the rear, but more than enough room to manoeuvre. Top Tip is to reverse into one of its 6 parking bays for ease of exit. The seafront is just under 1.5 miles South on the A3022. A large Asda store is just over 1.0 mile going North on the A3022. A loverly place to stay, and at really reasonable rates. You can save a further 10% if you book direct to Burleigh House. Enjoy your stay here. We certainly did.😁😁😁😁

What a little gem of a place! Ideal location to explore Torquay, only 10/15 min walk from town and the sea front. I tried a few, while the hubby stuck to his full English everyday!!! Chris and Karen were lovely hosts, helping us plan our days out and offered pack lunches to take out with us. We have had a fab week's holiday with them and will definitely be back when we are next in Torquay.

Chris and Karen were very welcoming. They catered for people with allergens and did a lovely gluten free breakfast. They are changing the price of the room while you speak with them. The room was £60, I've called them to ask if is possible to do the check in after 8 pm and the lady said yes. I said "OK, I'm gonna book it". After I finished the phone call with this lady, the price of the room was £72. All day was £60 and then in few minutes change. Is a shame that you are doing this.

Fantastic experience at this B&B, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and catered for. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are clean and the hosts are so hospitable, that even after 2 nights they felt like friends. We stayed for part of Easter and the small touches like homemade Easter biscuits and a small box of chocolate eggs was a lovely thought. Would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere quiet, clean and friendly accommodation to stay that is in the Torquay district.

Great place to stay, nothing is to much trouble for the hosts, the rooms are immaculate, great breakfast menu to sort all tastes, if you get the change have the balcony room it's stunning. Free WiFi close to town centre around £6-7 in a taxi

Lovely place, friendly staff. Great breakfast. Good value for money. Maybe a little further out of town than we expected but still a great place to stay. Will consider again when visiting torquay .

Andrew and William were perfect hosts Their Guest House was all I could have wished for and more. I had booked into another Hotel that I couldn't stay in, as it was unsatisfactory in so many ways. I was so grateful to Andrew and William for rescuing me and providing me with a beautiful room,a very warm welcome, and lovely food. I can not recommended The Avron Guest house highly enough Thank you again From Anita

Great cozy place in the heart of Torquay. Room was clean, comfortable, with all necessary amenities. Location was also great, within walking distance to bus station, railways station, beach, restaurants, shops and etc.

Amazing bed/breakfast. Room was spotless with everything you wanted. My husband said it was the best breakfast he had eaten. Will hopefully return later in the year Have stayed in several places in Torquay but have definitely found the best one Pauline and Vic

Delightful B&B with kind and friendly hosts. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Breakfast excellent.

Stayed in Torquay many times, but this was the best place we've stayed......and I've tried loads! Spotless rooms, great location and hosts were fantastic. Family 50th with 5 rooms booked for a mix of ages between 20 and 75, who travel a lot. All of us agreed on how good 'The Patricia' was on our return home. Our 'go-to' place for our next trip to South Devon.......couldn't fault it!

An excellent B&B. Joe and Liliya are lovely and brilliant hosts. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back again. It’s in a beautiful part of Torquay , just a few minutes walk to the beach. The rooms are very clean and the breakfasts are exceptional (the best B&B food I’ve ever had). I would highly recommend this B&B if you are staying in Torquay. 10/10.

This is the best B&B we have ever been to. Liliya and Joe are brilliant hosts and have a relaxed approach that makes the holiday special. Rooms are spotlessly clean, the breakfasts are amazing and the whole atmosphere is just right. Perfect location for town and bus routes. We will definitely go again and recommend to everyone

Feel very lucky to have found this gem. Had an awful experience with wowcher which nearly ruined our holiday. Thankfully we found the Patricia and the pleasent experience added to our long weekend. Joe and Liliya are both genuinely lovely people and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was very nice and felt personalised. The room had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Torquay. Very close to the sea front and surrounding attractions as well. Look forward to staying with the Patricia again. Dan & Ella.

The lodge is conveniently located near popular attractions like Riviera International Centre, Abbey Park, and English Riviera Centre. Guests have praised the traditional rooms with amenities like four-poster beds, well-equipped facilities including Netflix on TV, and access to a small guest kitchen.
I was there for a week and I really enjoyed it. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything you could ask for. Also, I really appreciated the hairdryer. There is a wide choice of food in the breakfast. The place is very close to the city centre, supermarkets and a few minutes walking to the beach, the harbour and stores. Also, it is very quiet at night. I totally recommend it.

Our stay in Ferndale Lodge is really pleasant. The breakfast is incredible and done with a lot of love. Our host Andrew is providing excellent service and hospitality. The house is in good conditions, well equipped and full of lovely details. You can walk down the hill in a couple of minutes to Torquay center and harbour. I really recommend this place for any visit in Torquay.

The room was very clean with an en-suite. Beds were comfy and water was hot. My grandson loved the soft pillows! Penny was very friendly and my grandson loved playing with her dog! The breakfasts were lovely and I recommend the full engish. Andrew was always there to help during the day if needed. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the harbour and beach.

Beautiful, clean and tidy hotel which has a lovely selection to offer at breakfast. We were really pleased with our room upgrade and very impressed with the room. Although we couldn't see the sea from our room we really like the view. Andrew and Penny were also very welcoming and friendly.

Andrew was the perfect host, made a special effort to make sure there was a breakfast (and soya) for me which I really appreciated. He also recommended a beautiful walk in Babbacombe. Rooms where beautiful, clean and tidy. Good locations can walk into town/harbour and also to Babbacombe. Highly recommend.

My partner and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago. Brilliant parking. Excellent service. Everything spotless. Breakast was freshly cooked also fresh fruit, continental breakfast available ..We will defiantly return. This is a B & B worth 5 star plus. Thank you.
Julie H — Google review
I stayed here with my girlfriend for the bank holiday weekend in May. It had everything you’d want from a B&B and more. We had a lovely traditional room with a grand four poster bed. The room was well equipped and the tv even had Netflix which was an unexpected bonus. There is a small guest kitchen if you wanted to make yourself lunch and dinner but we mainly just used it to keep drinks in the fridge as we were busy exploring torquay. Breakfast was good with some interesting options although we both went for the full English each morning which was very nice. It’s in a good location at the top of the high street in Torquay. It was good for us as first time visitors as you get to explore the local shops on the 15 minute walk to the sea. Andrew was a welcoming host and our room was a great price. We would look forward to staying here again if we decide to visit Torquay again.

Absolutely loved my stay. The family that run the place are wonderful, very friendly and informative. Joan (Grandmother) and George (Grandson) were a comedy double act during breakfast. The room was lovely. The lodge is perfectly situated and just a pleasure to stay in. Planning on visiting again next month!

Such a lovely stay here :) Richard was so welcoming showed us how things worked, the room was really nice, the bed omg so comfty!! Loved the glitter walls in the bathroom only downside room was bit small, nowere to dry/straighten ur hair, other than the desk which had your tea/coffee etc on.

Richard and Olga are the perfect family host. They make us feel at home from the first moment. The bedrooms are nice and so clean. It's very close to the town center and to the beach, so the location is great. If you are looking for a visit in torquay DON'T HESITATE TO STAY HERE!!!

Loved the stay. Nice welcome. A lovely couple who have revamped a business and made a very good job. The lush carpet leads up to a comfortable room with a warm laminate floored room ( felt very clean) and a room with a gorgeous bed and a fridge. The bed linen felt gorgeous and the towels too. Good location too… east to get to shops etc. We didn’t have breakfast but I’m sure it would be good! The entry and room doors are all good and secure with electronic passes. They live on site and assured us any problems just buzz. Very nice stay.

Superb experience overall. The host is a really nice guy and very accommodating. We had a specific request which he managed to do for us which made a huge positive difference to our weekend and we were extremely grateful. The location is ideal, room absolutely spotless and there is parking. Would absolutely reccomend anyone to stay here. 5/5. Thanks.

Perfect hosts, so welcoming and accommodating. The hotel is nicely done, modern, clean, comfy, cosy, quiet, parking available. The location is absolutely fantastic close to some really great restaurants on Abbey Road itself like Meat59, Nings Thai and Small World. Walking distance to the town, harbour and seafront. Hidden gem

Stayed here in the triple room at the last minute 3 adults. Lovely clean room with a mini fridge too which was a nice bonus. Ideal location for the town centre and the harbour. Just 7, 8 mins walk and your on the harbour front. Richard was a lovely guy. Cheaper to book directly with hotel themselves.

Superb. Hosts richard and olga are really friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Rooms were spotlessly clean and modern like the rest of the property. Very comfy beds and good shower. Best breakfast ever in a b&b! Location is ideal and parking available on site. Will book here first next time we are in torquay.

The Cary Court Hotel is a charming Victorian house located in Torquay, England. Guests can enjoy a cozy and warm atmosphere with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The hosts, Paul and Linda, are helpful and knowledgeable about the local area, providing recommendations for exploring nearby beaches like Shalstone Beach and Torre Abbey Sands Meadfoot. The hotel offers self-catering units such as The Link, which is beautifully decorated and conveniently located near the marina and restaurants.
I haven't been to Torquay before and this was a great place to explore from. We stayed in the Caribbean room and our windows looked out into exotic Caribbean foliage and mostly blue skies. There's a Hockneyesque feel to the place and our hosts were warm and welcoming.. and really helpful, I recommend the laminated tours... they were really helpful as was the route back the the M5. I ate very well here and slept soundly...
Simon H — Google review
I have just returned from a week at The Link, one of the self catering units at Cary Court. One word - excellent. But that isn't enough - it felt like home. It is beautifully and characterfully decorated throughout and spotlessly clean. For 3 friends holidaying together, really spacious. Fabulous location, close to the marina and great restaurants. But you'll wake to peace and quiet only broken by the sound of birds. And a 20 minute walk to Wellswood with great delis and shops. Plus a great bus service to explore all the coast - leave the car and relax. Even in September we swam in the heated pool surrounded by palm trees and exotic plants. The hosts, Paul and Linda, couldn't be more lovely and have so much info and really care about you having the best exoerience. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Jane W — Google review
Stayed in one of the self catering cottages with some of my family in mid September - the facilities are fab, with a heated pool set in a lovely tropical garden, a welcome hamper so we could have a cuppa and a cream tea as soon as we arrived and super friendly hosts. The location is also great, the main town is a short walk away although it is downhill, so the walk back is a bit more challenging! Hopefully we will be back again next year, and for longer this time :)
Thea M — Google review
We're off home after our week here. Rented The White house and its home from home - cosy & warm. Welcome pack was a lovely treat complimented with a delicious homemade marmalade. Linda & Paul have provided enough information on the local area plus a recommended Coastal tour, which kept us busy - Shalstone beach, Broadsands Beach, Torre Abbey Sands Meadfoot and more hidden coves. We explored many places including a few garden centres and discovered Fermoys as I wanted some more plants for my garden. Canonteign Falls is a must see - taking in the beautiful rolling hills on the way there. Overall a fabulous stay.
