This is the oldest bar in San Antonio. Very dimmly lit with dark woods. Awesome atmosphere. Handcrafted cocktails and try their own beer that is only sold there. The food was amazing, as well. There is also a downstairs area that is more intimate with a more limited food menu. Definitely a place to go to.

Born and raised here in San Antonio still my favorite restaurant!!! Mmmm get a pimms cup!!!! Get everything!!! Can I live here!!?!?!?!? Girl approved for a date! The Esquire was a must for our several day visit to the Riverwalk. Absolutely worth the visit! We are always up for visiting unique bars on our travels. It was the perfect evening for some light eats and speciality drinks. The bar is incredible with it length and history. We enjoyed the Homemade Chips and Caramelized Onion Dip, Tomato Soup with Baked Cheese Toast and The Esquire Salad. Washed it all down with Moscow Mules, Bidi Bidi Conundrum and an Old Fashion. The atmosphere is nice, quaint, dimly lit, and cozy. Our server was fantastic and we enjoyed great conversation. Being that the The Esquire is one of the oldest establishment on the Riverwalk, full of history along with excellent cocktails and food, you just gotta stop in to experience it. Thanks for making our visit so enjoyable!!

Leaving The Magestic and you see the mass of people flooding out to get to their cars and you think to yourself….. self, do I want to spend an hour in the Travis parking garage getting out (ps much easier than the one near the theater!) or do I want to sit at the oldest bar in San Antonio and the longest bar in Texas with a cold cocktail, amazing food, and some of the best service I have had in a while? No brain answer there. When we arrived we were instantly greeted and we decided to sit at the bar. After settling in, Breck came greet us. Probably the friendliest bartender ever. He made an amazing old fashioned for the hubs and I had a French 75. When I say the attention to detail was there… man it was. I almost didn’t want to drink my beverage it was so pretty. Food came out quickly and pipping hot. Husband had the burger and I had the mussels with fries. All the mussels were open which means the kitchen pays attention to detail. Yall I wanted to drink the sauce from the bowl, but I decided to drop my fries into the sauce and let them swim a moment before eating them. I had a bite of my husbands burger. When you bite into the burger, it melts in your mouth. They do not overwork their meat and they know how to cook a medium rare burger (those that don’t like the redness in a burger, move on. It’s worth the risk). Such an amazing texture and perfectly seasoned. Since it was 5pm and approaching my bedtime (don’t judge me) I had a coffee and we split a key lime pie. They do the coffee right with the French press and the key lime has a meringue topping that was perfectly toasted. Yeah definitely made the right choice and had a better experience then waiting for an hour to get out of the garage. I hope yall try this place and ask about the history. Good food, amazing drinks, and a history lesson on the side. You won’t regret it!

Really lovely drink and service from the bartender, and the food was good too. The house made condiments really elevated the salad and the fries! The only thing that doesn’t fit the vibe are the TVs, otherwise very moody and cozy!

We come here once a month when downtown for our season tickets. We love the history of the Esquire and the vibe, and as an added bonus, the staff are always attentive and friendly. We highly recommend! Today, there is a parade representing Eastern Indian cultures!

The ambiance at the rooftop bar was exceptional, with a great atmosphere and thoughtfully curated music. The venue itself is modern, well-maintained, and visually appealing. Service was attentive and commendable. However, the food did not meet expectations, particularly considering the pricing. The quality and flavor were mediocre; the falafel, in particular, was among the poorest I’ve encountered. Humus lacked texture and had no flavor. Several items advertised on the website menu were either unavailable or not reflected on the actual menu — for instance, onion rings were listed but out of stock. There are also concerns regarding the kitchen’s execution. While the asparagus was properly cooked in terms of texture, it was excessively oily and lacked adequate seasoning. The presentation choice of placing yogurt sauce beneath hot asparagus caused the sauce to become warm and lose flavor, diminishing the overall dish. On a positive note, the drinks were well-crafted and enjoyable.

The Moon’s Daughters was an excellent choice for a nighttime rooftop dining experience in San Antonio. Our waiter was incredibly helpful, even recommending local spots to check out since we were visiting from out of town. The cocktails were strong and well-crafted, the food was delicious, and the city views were absolutely stunning. A couple of tips: while the rooftop stays open until midnight, the kitchen closes at 10 PM, so make your dinner reservation for 9:30 or earlier if you plan to eat. There isn’t a strict dress code, but I’d recommend dressing up a bit to match the elegant atmosphere. Overall, highly recommend for the views, vibes, and drinks!

Such a fun rooftop bar with a shaded narrow area for sitting/dining and a bigger open area without shade for lounging/drinking. Fantastic skyline views. Great photo opportunity. I came here for a friend's birthday party. Ill be honest when I say this was way out of my comfort zone but I still enjoyed myself. You have to pay for street parking so be ready to pay $17 to park. To reach the location, you have to enter through the very dark hotel. Bring a flashlight, their mood lighting makes it hard to see elevator buttons if you have low or poor visibility so use your phones flash light. Once you reach the 20th floor, you have finally reached it. The place is nice and it sports a great view. There are group areas, bar areas and outdoor rooftop sitting. The food was high quality with the price tag to go with it but it was good. I think the one thing I remember is the tv playing a video of a nacked woman going up and down some stairs. I can still see it when I close my eyes lol. Sounds weird but when you see it, you will know what im talking about. All in all this was great for a special occasion. If you want to try something new I would recommend it. Also the staff is very nice. So be polite.

I was here multiple times throughout my 3-night stay at the Thompson, and the experience was top notch! The staff is incredibly friendly and quick. From management to the host, everyone was a joy to converse with. While I didn’t get all their names, I do know Adriana, Ben, Jonathan, Allison and multiple others contributed to this great experience — thank you! Now, while the food is a little on the high end, the menu is unique featuring dishes I don’t normally see on my travels. Finally, make sure you catch the sunset from the terrace (or even inside the bar). You won’t be sorry you did!

First of it will cost $30 for valet parking due to being inside the hotel. The menu selection is limited and is leather-bound which was unique. Outside seating has a fantastic view of the city, especially at sunset. The experience was outside my comfort zone and feels highly sophisticated. Be mindful that the price of menu items is expensive. For instance $15 hummus and $37 half chicken.

We had a fantastic Halloween birthday celebration at The Moon’s Daughters! The staff reserved two tables, let us bring a cake, served awesome drinks, and gave us the best seats with stunning city views and the food is delicious. Thank you

I really wish there was more transparency around the pricing of the Sunday Drag Brunch. I paid $46.30 for 2 people thinking it included the brunch and was charged an additional $40.00+ for the food which was over an hour late and I was not even able to get to get a second meal… very disappointing for a buffet. I truly enjoyed the show hosts and the queens. They were fun and very welcoming to all. The show was just the right amount of time and kept me laughing / engaged the whole time. Please keep in mind that in addition to the entry fee, buffet fee, drinks (they even charge for water), you will also need to bring money for the performers. As far as the venue, it is beautiful and clean. You will be sat with random people either across or next to you depending on your party due to the sitting set up The service was as 3/5 because although they were nice, when I asked for things, they were not brought or forgotten (water + my drink + syrup). I had to get up twice to order my own drinks.

My wife and I spent a night in San Antonio celebrating our anniversary and came here Friday afternoon around 3pm just because we noticed it from the river walk. Food isn't sold until later in the day, so we had a couple of drinks and left--it was the windy weather that drove us out as I really enjoyed the ambiance and atmosphere--plenty of seating inside and outside with dogs allowed, at least when it's early and empty--which was cool. Music was on target for the setting to complete the vibe--it's beautiful outside! Service was friendly but slow and we were pretty much the only ones there, but that's also probably the issue--this is more of a nightclub scene than an early afternoon drink scene. Very pricey, but you only live once, and when Spring is past, so will be the wind. 4 stars.

I bought a couch for my best friends birthday. The photos looked amazing. But I have to say what a huge disappointment. This place has a great atmosphere that they’re not taking advantage of because their “brunch” menu is something from Taco Bell. Old El Paso cold shells for “crispy” tacos. We had to door dash our own vegetable juice for Bloody Marys. The bartender and the queens it was all great but this place is seriously lacking with food. If they were to step their food game up and turn on the dang AC they’d probably be booked every day. Until this happens we definitely won’t be returning. That being said. The queens and bartenders definitely made sure they did the best with what they had.

My boyfriend and I came across this place in our neighborhood. Vibrant Art deco style interior with gorg balcony seating over looking the river. Personable and entertaining staff. Massive drink menu primarily focused on whiskey, bourbon, and tequilas.

This bar almost feels like a speakeasy with how hidden and unassuming it is from the outside. I would never have suspected a bar as cool as this was on the inside of this building! The entrance is on the basement level of a shopping center so you have to take the stairs down. Once you’re inside, there is a long cocktail bar with various seating to the right and left in addition to the bar seating. The cocktails are so delicious and they can make anything you’d like! Such a wonderful bar experience

Bar 1919 is a hidden gym. Offering exquisite cocktails and a wide selection of spirits. It's quaint and cozy but gets lively on weekends. Staff are attentive and friendly. What a great way to start or end your night!!

Amazing whiskey selection. Creative cocktails excellently made. "Without a Trace" was without a doubt, a home run- made with Buffalo Trace and Vecchio Amaro del Cappo which are 2 of my favorites on their own. Awesome speakeasy vibe and very kind staff.

We had a private event here for our wedding and are so happy we did! The atmosphere is great but the staff made it even better. We had food catered by the chef from Gimme Gimme and it was delicious. Cute mid week evening experience. Had a quick cocktail 🍹 Cut our visit short the smell of weed was overpowering but if rap music and cannabis is your scene this is your spot. The ambiance doesn’t align for with the experience.

Very cool bar, with a very esoteric vibe. You have to walk through the porch to go in, it’s an old house transformed to a bar. When you go in, in front of you is the bar area and to the sides, which are the living and the dining areas, you’ll find sofas and some formal chairs so you can drink and enjoy the vibe from this bar. The drinks were ok, nothing fancy. The people there were in their 30’s to 60’s age range. The half light ambiance makes it very relaxing and since the music is not that loud it’s a good option to go for drinks and talk. I loved the fact that you can walk and go to different bars, this location is very convenient! We stayed almost 5 blocks from here and the area is very safe to walk around.

This place is so posh and swanky. I loved the vibe and although popular it didn’t feel crowded. The espresso martinis are to die for and the sweet cream foam on top is delicious.

Southtowns newest and hottest craft cocktail bar. The vibe is fantastic: great neon but dim lighting, perfect temperature and fantastic fragrance from all the candles. The music is always on point by record spinning dj’s who make it very fun and energetic. Service is top notch by these seasoned bartenders who can create the perfectly balanced cocktail including table servers who are on top if it refilling the house cucumber infused water. Bite options are available which are a spin off from some Mexican inspired favorites. Chicharrones with Valentina sauce, the perfect snack for a proper cocktail. A perfect addition to Southtown. Food is unique & delicious. Drinks are fresh & made by some of the best bartenders in the city. And the music brings all the good vibes & takes you back to riding in the back seat of your parents car with the windows down. The tiki brunch on Sundays is a MUST.

Went for dinner and Wednesday trivia and loved it! The atmosphere is so fun with old couches and quirky decorations, as well as the choice of music. The trivia was appropriately paced, and the trivia players were very energetic. Our server/bartender was very sociable and provided some excellent suggestions for pizza customization and drink options. I wish there were more NA drink options, but overall had a great experience and would highly recommend!

Friendly bartending staff and excellently priced cocktail options. They usually have a DJ as well. There’s lots of cozy spaces on the couches, a game room with darts and pool, and a huge patio to enjoy. You can order online from Dogfather next door and they will bring it to the bar for you. Lots of vegan/veggie options if you have any of those needs.

I love this bar! My friends and I have been coming for trivia since the beginning of the year. The bartenders are great, the vibe is great, and they play good music. We also love getting food from The Dogfather next door. Jess is the trivia host and she's great, we love her 💜. The only 0/10 experience I've had is driving my car into the pole in the parking lot. Watch out for that 💩

The Bang Bang has an awesome, vintage lounge feel and amazing drinks. There are a couple of pool tables and a big outdoor seating area perfect for bigger groups. They have some bar food, but The Dogfather is next door and does delivery to the bar. I have really enjoyed it every time I've been.

I visited during Friday happy hour, and the half empty bar meant the bartenders were extra attentive—a definite plus. This spot is perfect for a night out, with music adding to the vibe. The cucumber cocktail was a refreshing. While the crowd skews young (reminding me of the oldie I am), the energy is lively. Just a heads-up: service can dip when it gets packed later at night, so plan accordingly.

George’s Keep at La Cantera is a pretty average spot. The service is decent, nothing to complain about but nothing memorable either. There’s no food available, so it’s really just a place for drinks. The bar does offer a solid variety of single malts, which is a plus if you’re into whiskey. That said, the overall vibe and experience don’t stand out, it’s just a regular bar without much character or anything particularly special to draw you back.

My wife and I stopped in on Saturday night around 7:00 and we were very disappointed and disgusted at what we saw. They have a very bad fruit fly problem…so bad, we couldn’t even finish our drinks because they were flying all around our glasses. When I asked several people if the manager was there and told them the issue, no one really cared except one bartender who knew there was a problem but said there was nothing they could do.

George’s Keep is a hidden gem among the bar scenes here in San Antonio. My friends and I love to drink this cocktail called “FRESA 75” and the bartenders at George’s Keep are the only one who really make it right & the price point is just right. I recommend coming here even on the weekdays especially if you just want to have good drinks with colleagues or friends after work and still be able to hear each other. They also have outdoor seating which is a plus. Such a good vibe inside.

I had a friend in town staying at this hotel so we met up at the bar. What a unique place! We received great service and great drinks but the atmosphere was the real selling point to me. Almost like a hidden speakeasy down in a basement, the bar is super cozy with several mini-living-room setups that were great for conversation with (not loud) music in the background.

Cieara was our bartender, she took great care of us and recommended delicious and authentic spirits. Our favorite part of our visit was definitely the exclusive ambiance of the bar. It's hard to find, candlelight, and so romantic. Would reccomend to a local couple for date night or tourists for a taste of Cuba

Havana Bar is a lovely quaint place to enjoy a night of conversations with your friends. The hotel has old world charm. I had not been here in about 20yrs, the updates are nice & they still have the old mirrors everywhere, comfortable chairs/sofas, I miss the Godiva martinis but they do have a great mixologist crafting wonderful libations.

Overheard a conversation about how this bar used to be a pharmacy for a psychiatric facility and how the whole building holds so much history. The moody and intimate atmosphere makes for a really nice place to sit close with your partner and just enjoy each other's company. Definitely a super cool spot to check out!

Great food, great prices and great service. We've found our new spot. The only thing that should be addressed here is the layers of dust on their pig paper lanterns and their willingness to take your photos and use them without your permission. I left a great review for them on Open Table, where we made our reservations, and included photos. Zinc then snagged my photos without asking me or crediting me, to use on their own site. Hence my removing a star from their rating.

I recently rented a private room at Zinc and could not have been happier! We had a small group of 12, and were originally booked for the wine room, but after the coordinator, Rachel, found out the larger room was free, she didn't hesitate to move us to it. She also made sure everything was in place to make the night extra special. We had an attentive bartender serving us the whole time, while the rest of the waitstaff made sure everything came out on time and without problems. The food was very good, and their guacamole is just as amazing as it is at their parent company, Boudros. Our families had an amazing time, and couldn't stop talking about how nice it was. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to host a party!

Zinc was a great choice for supper after we explored the River Walk for a couple hours. They have indoor & outdoor seating and a huge bar selection. Even though it was a warm day the inside was cool even with the doors left open, and two TVs were mounted in the bar room for entertainment. The food doesn't break the bank and my three-cheese mac was very good. Great table service also contributed to an authentic experience here.

What a gem! We started with the best guacamole (made tableside) and chips. We each ordered the grilled shrimp and shared the Brioche Apple Bread Pudding for dessert. The portions were pretty generous, and their bread pudding was the best I've ever had. Prices were very reasonable for this area.

Went here for early dinner while on work trip. Service was fantastic! I had gin cocktail that was very good. For dinner I had the Texas Lamb pasta meal substituting the linguini in for my pasta choice. The lamb was very tender. The best part was hands down dessert-save room for the apple bread pudding soufflé!!

The Hotel Emma's Sternewirth, which is described to encompass a "dramatic tavern and club room" within the hotel, is SO beautiful. Oh my gosh, the atmosphere inside of this space is absolutely worth the visit in itself. The place is bathed in the scent of The Hotel Emma, and the decor is decadent + romantic. There is lots of seating inside of Sternewirth, so it's suitable for many group sizes. There is an option to order drinks + bites at the bar, or there is service available where you decide to sit & settle. The first couple of times I've visited, it's been for a quick pop-in to have a Topo Chico while my boyfriend enjoys an IPA. Looking forward to trying some of their food and cocktails at future visits. :-)

This is a great spot to have drinks and catch up with friends or family. I would even recommend to couples for a date night. The “wells” look like a good spot to have a small, intimate setting. I had a drink from the special chartreuse menu with a few coworkers and it was amazing. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable on making great drink recommendations.

I absolutely loved it here! From the exhibitions to the service. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. I loved how each exhibition allowed time for interaction and it was crowded so I didn’t feel rushed. They have a really good gift shop and a cool bar area in their lobby. I definitely think the price was worth the experience and that they have a great selection of rooms for you to enjoy!

An Absolute Must-See Immersive Experience! I loved my visit to HOPSCOTCH in San Antonio, TX! This place is truly a unique gem and offered a fantastic experience from start to finish. It’s a massive space dedicated to interactive and immersive art, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The best part was the journey through every single room. Each installation felt like stepping into a new, distinct world—something completely different from the last. From light installations and optical illusions to hands-on kinetic exhibits, the variety was incredible. It’s impossible to be bored as you transition from one sensory experience to the next. I particularly appreciated how kids friendly the entire gallery is. Many art spaces feel restrictive, but Hopscotch actively encourages playful participation, making it a perfect outing for families. It truly is a playground for the senses, allowing both adults and children to explore, interact, and capture some amazing, colorful photos. If you are looking for an engaging, joyful, and utterly unique way to spend an afternoon in San Antonio, I highly recommend stopping by HOPSCOTCH!

It was our first time here and we truly enjoyed this place. Awesome to take photos and walk through unique rooms. Ball pit was a hit for the little ones and the ladies who helped us were nice and informing. Price was good for us $40 for myself and my 5 year old. Be prepared to sign your waiver and enjoy yourself.

Hopscotch totally surprised us in the best way! Every room had something new and creative to explore. We had a blast in the musical art room—pushing buttons to make the lights and sounds dance was so cool—and yes, even the ball pit was fun for us “grown-ups.” The Secrets room was fascinating, though a few confessions were a bit heavy. This was a fun and beautiful experience. The woman who checked us in noticed that my wife had just had a birthday two days previously and gave us a chip for a free drink. She and I got tasty alcoholic drinks and my son enjoyed a mocktail. The ball pit and trampoline were super fun but we enjoyed all the other rooms too. Absolutely loved the love is love maze (not sure the official name of the room). Also appreciated that the tshirt I bought was only $15!

OMG! This place is so fun! Definitely make time to visit this place. The exhibits are very unique and interactive also. I'm not sure how much kids would appreciate it but adults and seniors will like it.

I had a fantastic time, and my kids loved it too - they've been asking to go back ever since. The attention to detail in each room was impressive, and the sweet treats and drinks beforehand were a lovely touch, not to mention the gift shop.

Although small and pricey, the food and service were top notch. Loved the old times jazz. Wish there had been a bit more singing over just the big band music but it did bring a tear to my eye remembering my dad and how much he would have loved it. Definitely an experience I would do again. I might even take my mom next time.

This was a charming and wonderful experience! This place is hidden in plain sight being located beneath the food hall at the pearl. You take the set of stairs on the side of the building down into a hidden speak easy-esque bar and dining room with a stage where the band plays. I attended a New Orleans themed night which was absolutely amazing. The band was phenomenal and routinely plays at jazz, TX. The drink I had was so delicious that I ordered three! The drink menu is unique and very very good, as is the food menu! I ordered the calamari, risotto, and tried my friend’s ravioli which was also delicious. The service was also outstanding. This is such a fun place for a romantic date night and a great excuse to dress up. You need to buy tickets in advance and it does sell out. I highly recommend checking this place out.

If there is a negative review for this place, they are FALSE! Jazz,TX is as close to a perfect place as you can find! My wife and I were in town for a long weekend vacation. A bartender at our hotel bar told us about it so we decided to check it out. We showed up and didn't know you needed to buy tickets ahead of time, however there was one table still available. As soon as we sat down Jesse took our drink order and told us all about the place. Jesse was the ABSOLUTE BEST waiter I have ever seen. He had a ton of energy, he had an amazing personality and a work ethic that is second to none! We were blown away by the drinks and music! The service, music and drinks were so good we came back the next night If we lived in San Antonio we would come every week! Jazz,TX was the best part of our vacation!

Had the loveliest evening here! The ambiance was welcoming and relaxing, perfect for a solo date in San Antonio. The band that performed this evening was delightful and exceeded expectations in terms of the energy they brought to the place. During the performance I enjoyed some fried calamari that was paired with a delicious tangy sauce. The drink I ordered contained tequila, mezcal, and absinthe which I have never seen before on a menu locally! Shoutout to Andrew and Chris for their service and hospitality, as well as everyone behind the bar who works together diligently and cooperatively to ensure all guests are happy and well taken care of!

Loved this place!! Pic on the right was taken before it filled up. Went to a show on Fri and Sat, both, New Orleans and The Copa Kings shows were fantastic!! The atmosphere was great, food was good, the Pecan Pie…OMG fantastic!!! The wine by the glass selection wasn’t the greatest but, by the bottle was excellent. Everybody left smiling, both nights!! I really enjoyed it so much on Fri, took my daughter on Sat.

My wife & I had a wonderful time at Jazz, Tx.! The ambience & intimate environment made the night most enjoyable. The drinks & food were the best! We heard the Copa Kings that night & they were an amazing band. If you like Jazz, orchestra for a special occasion or night, Jazz Tx is it! Good work guys!!

I was there last Friday for the New Orleans jazz second line show. It was an absolute ball! Excellent food, good wine, very attentive service, and a great show! Oh, and the pecan pie alamode for dessert! OMG! What a hidden gem!

Don’t come here if you don’t absolutely adore tiki bars. Love the vibe of this place. The drinks are lethal! Lots of tropical flavors and heavy on the booze. The snacks were good too, perfect to accompany the sweet drinks. The lighting is very dark, lots of on theme decor, the seating is intimate. It’s a small space so I’d def recommend reservations.

Cody was absolutely amazing! His service and patience was awesome. We ordered quite a few drinks and the place was packed. There is a trade show happening and there is an extra 15k people in the area and the bar wad standing room only. The staff were busy but happily made our drinks and handled their side work and the crowd like it was nothing. I didn't feel like I was a burden and Cody enjoyed serving us and made excellent recommendations. I would highly suggest you go here. This bar is a hidden gem along the river walk. A true Tiki Bar.

The decor and the drinks are AMAZING here! If you love rum based spirits and tiki drinks this place is so good. They also have a pretty good happy hour. I will say, I guess we came on a bad night because no one waited on us until we had to get up and gain the attention of a server from another section. It wasn’t until we were completely finished did our actual server check on us. There was also a slight smell. Not sure from the indoor waterfall or the bathrooms, but it could have been something out of their control.

Been coming here since they opened, I wish more often since us locals don't go to the Riverwalk often: but when I do have to be downtown, I make sure to hang out at Hugmans! Last night we planned on coming in for 1 drink and an appetizer, but a thunderstorm came in faster than we expected, so we stayed here for another drink waiting for the rain to pass: it's a great place to spend during a storm!!

Such a fun tropical hideaway! We really enjoyed our experience here and would recommend to others. Cody took great care of us and made us feel welcome. Our drinks tasted great and we ended up getting a themed glass and swizzle stick as a souvenir. So glad we did! We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Only snacks so we didn't really eat here. Drinks are solid, we stuck to the Happy Hour Menu before we went up to Tokyo Cowboy. Decor is pretty spot on, lots to see and spend time checking out. 12 seats at tables. 1 larger party booth and about 12 barstools. If you're in SA it is worth a stop if on the River Walk. Happy Hour has great prices from 4-6 M-F. Music is a bit odd, its tropical and sort of growing on me.

Service was great - for a Thursday, it was a doable crowd. Tiki theme on point and drinks looks delicious (only had a white claw myself). However, the food was over-fried and burnt. Had the chicken and coconut shrimp and was extremely disappointed. We came before and it was great… super excited to try it again but completely let down. Fries were great though. We will be back… for tiki drinks only though.

The pictures on google maps were a bit misleading to me. It looked like a relatively upscale, organized cocktail bar. In reality - this was a chaotic pub-like spot with mediocre cocktails. People blocking the bar and pass through area. Music is loud, everyone yells. To order, you will have to fight for the attention of the bartenders. No menu - only standard cocktails. Very basic presentation. Price is too high for the product you receive. Good spot if you’re already drunk and on the tour with your friends.

Randomly found this place while visiting SA. It's a very cool local spot. The vibes are super chill ☮️ from the music 🎶 to the employees to people. My overall, hands down MOST FAVORITE part of this place...it's that the bartenders are TRUE MIXOLOGISTS!!! There's NO menu...EVERYTHING is 'CUSTOM MADE'!!! 🍸🍹🥃 Such an awesome concept to have and gives the bartenders an opportunity to showcase their talent and creativity. If you're a local and not familiar with this spot or simply in town visiting...I highly recommend giving it a try. Be sure to ask for 'Ruby'...she's absolutely fantastic, super friendly, and very tentative, no matter the crowd size. 🩵

The place is like walking into the 1960's music was a bit loud but the bar staff was AMAZING, drink prices were a bit much but I couldn't stop ordering what they were giving me, I don't know what it was but they customized everything for me and my partner. Him and I both loved it! I want to say the bartenders name was Jen she was incredible!

The Modernist has become one of my favorite speakeasy/bars to frequent. The staff is amazing Bryan and Ashanti are always welcoming and make the best cocktails. The experience is always fun. I have yet to have the same cocktail and each drink is so delicious. It's a must do when friends are in town as well.

Drove by this place on the way to our hotel. We made the short walk back to this establishment after getting unpacked and settled in. Was definitely something different for me since I usually do sport bars. But the lay back atmosphere and the drinks made me realize I'd been missing out. The water bottle with shot glasses to self serve your water was something new to me definitely a good touch. We didn't do a plate but appetizers instead. The oysters were good and the Boudin balls were just as good . Me and my wife really enjoyed this place and the budget friendly happy hour definitely helps. We'll be coming back to San Antonio plenty with my son attending UTSA I do believe we found another must stop everytime we come back. Highly recommend stopping here

Double Standard – San Antonio's Burger Gem! Hands down, the best burgers we've ever eaten—perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The drinks were just as impressive: creative, well-balanced, and strong in all the right ways. The atmosphere is fun, lively, and welcoming—exactly the kind of place you want to hang out with friends or unwind after a long day. Double Standard has definitely set a new standard for burgers and good times in San Antonio!

One of the best Lemon Drop Martinis I've had! The Signature DS Burger with bacon on top was INCREDIBLE! Easily one of the best burgers I've EVER had in my life. Brisket, bacon and beef blended in the patty with this magical combination of brioche bun, dijonnaise, and probably some type of enchantment in there somewhere. I'll be measuring other burgers against that one from now on! Atmosphere is somewhat moody yet inviting in its own way. Great date night location!

I ordered the All-American Cheeseburger and it was perfect — cooked just right, juicy, and packed with flavor. The fries were crispy and absolutely delicious. Pro tip: if you’re a ranch fan, order a side for dipping — you won’t be disappointed!

If I lived in the area, this would be high on my rotation of places to eat. The menu is not large, but what they do have, they do exceptionally well. The DS burger is in my top 5 of best burgers I have ever had. The oysters, while on the smaller side because they are east coast oysters(I am used to gulf oysterswhich tend to be larger) were delicious. Dive bar feel but a massive alcohol selection. When I come back to San Antonio I will definitely be stopping here.

Went there for lunch today. 1 vodka drink, table water, bread and white bean dip, ribeye for 2. $116 before tip. Not much service, you order at the bar, they do bring out the food. That's it. Not sure what the tip was for. Hope it went to the cooks. The white bean dip was delicious. The steak was the same as HEB, good. The creamed spinach was great. The portions of the sides are tiny. I thought ribeye for $75 for 2 meant two steaks. Its 1 steak split between 2 adults.

The bar is really good, no complaints but the price of one Rum Old fashioned with Zacapa 23 is crazy expensive. They charged me 33$ for 1 rum old fashioned when very high level places like Boutique Hotel Emma charge you 20$, this is 13$ more which is more than 60% more. To be honest its crazy.

Located under TORO is the Cellar Mixology Bar and I must say it is too cool. The drinks are fantastic and amazingly made with a special flair and technique. There are some 4 or 5 bartenders working at any given time and around 10 PM the DJ sets up. If you are coming later it is imperative to make reservations for a table. If you are the early crowd then enjoy sitting at the bar or a table that is open. Also, try the spoon shots which take a minute to prepare, but are worth the wait. Highly recommended!

I had family come down from Mexico and wanted to treat them right and Cellar did not disappoint! Every time I go I have a great time. We did bottle service and the service over all was great!

Had a super bad experience with the event organizer or whatever she is. (Chubby Venezuelan lady) We got there for a Halloween event at 10:00 pm and payed a $15 cover. We were standing at one of the pillars next to the dj. When the place got packed this lady went to tell us we had to move because someone had purchase a bottle and that was considered a reserved area. Mind there was no signs or anything showing that was a reserved area. She was very rude and even called the security guys. I used to go there often and then stopped going because of this lady. I don’t know why is she still working there. Anyways never going there again.

Google maps says they open at 5. The restaurant said they open at 6. We waited and when the door was unlocked at 6, they said we couldn’t go down cause they were not ready yet. We waited 15 more minutes and went downstairs. They told us they still weren’t ready and to come back in 15 minutes. They wouldn’t even let us sit down and wait. We were shooed back up to the street. We had reservations for dinner later but ended up ditching the dinner since we couldn’t even get drinks. We did not feel welcome by staff at all. We came 30 min away to show this place to a friend and were totally let down.

I’ve never been treated so rudely before. I understand that security staff have to deal with many difficult situations and people, but the head of security at the entrance of Cellar is by far the most rude, arrogant, and problematic person I’ve ever encountered. It’s embarrassing to have someone like that as the first point of contact to “welcome” guests to the bar. It’s a shame because I’ve always liked Cellar and had so much fun there before, but this time we decided to leave after just 10 minutes because we didn’t appreciate the poor treatment, and I don’t think I’d want to come back.

Went to Cellar Mixology for my anniversary date night. The bartenders were all very courteous when explaining their eclectic drink menu. The drinks were amazing and different than your normal bar. The use of elderflower, liquid nitrogen and cotton candy are unique! Definitely will visit again.

Absolutely loved this bar! It was on my list of must-try spots in San Antonio, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The only downside was sitting outside—it gets really hot. A few fans or some kind of cooling setup would definitely take the outdoor experience to the next level. Still, great vibes overall!

This is the place I have been missing / dying for in SA. From the bespoke speakeasy design and decor to the artist / creative friendly vibes, this is absolutely the place for everything from brainstorming sessions over fine drinks to mingling with like-minded cultured folks who appreciate atmosphere. There is just something adventurous and altogether magical about the place. Without giving away all its little secrets and tailored experiences, I will say it’s definitely worth paying a visit and exploring yourself. Alone or with your favorite people, make sure it’s on your SA bucket list.

This place is definitely a whole vibe. I went Thursday Jan 12,2024 as a recommendation for neo soul. Trying to find chill laid back spots with good music. It was great. I don’t drink but the bartenders hook me up. They were amazing. I love their cohesiveness when working. They were all very attentive. I loved the decor, and the vibe. It felt like a I was visiting a friend’s place who was having a party. They have a great outdoor seating area. I’m not if they had food but if they didn’t it would be a great addition of little snacks or finger foods. I would have never guest looking from the outside what was inside. That’s goes to show you, never judge a book from the outside. When I first arrived wasn’t many people but more and more people arrived as the night continued. It’s a great chill spot. Definitely will be back!

It's such a great little bar. It is very much a must stop if you like artisanal cocktails. The atmosphere is intimate and comfortable. The cocktails are a little different, but they are adventurous and fun. The decor is a bit french but tasteful. Patio is interesting roomy. Plenty of seating outside inside is a bit more limited.

This d Building is an Escape from the Large Crowds, and quite the Trendy place! Fashioned as an antique Mediterranean Cafe, the Bar is a Magnet, for sure! Its Passport Menu will offer some of the most Unheard of combinations of Rum Concoctions to satisfy all tastes! Don't forget to order some food! The food menu has Delicious Combinations of Tacos with shredded Chicken or Beef! Chips and Cold Bean dip are a must! Two levels, two bars, a Balcony overlooking a Beautiful Landscape of the Courtyard!

Service was good and attentive. Personally, I was not a fan of the drinks. Their “tajin” is decent. Their michelada mix I didn’t like at all. I can see others really enjoying this bar, but it just wasn’t for me.

Cocktails were great and the staff was really nice and knowledgeable. Really enjoyed sitting at the bar and just having a couple drinks including this Hemingway daiquiri which was perfect. Will definitely be back!

Best Bar in San Antonio. I got a mojito because missed when Burn notice was on air over at USA, but they are more rum and tequila focused. The owners used to run a place called The Modernist, this is their second known project together and it's fantastic. At the first venture, they had no menu for quite some time. To say they are competent would be an understatement. Everything is slightly beyond fantastic in it's own right, overarching context compared to anything else in the city at this level of formality or lower. The Cuba Libre has their delicious 5 rum blend of which I am a super fan. But why this whole blurb? Support cool local stuff from kind people if you want it to stick around. Simple things are not complicated. Thanks to owners and staff for one of my favorite sa experiences. Go yesterday.

I like having a cold one while the kids play on the playground. In the background the tower of the America and im sure you can bring your pet. It's a nice pit stop before calling it a day. I had the pomegranate margarita 🍹 😋 I wish they had shiner on tap.

Service is ok, but even the inside seating very hot, I understand its a outside bar and grill but if you have issues with the TX heat be careful. The food took long because one of the cooks passed out and needed EMS to give them fluids. They said the kitchen is that hot that it needs better ventilation.

First time here, I went with my son because my friend told me the place was a restaurant-bar with a playground. We had some drinks, fried pickles, wings, nachos, fries. Honestly I forgot to take pictures of the food/drinks but I liked it in general. My son had lots of fun and he played until they closed. I’ll be back for sure.

We had hoped to take a large group here during our annual convention but the logistics just didn't work out. However, I knew as soon as I saw the place that I wanted to spend some time there, so an old friend and I went up and drank and ate for about 4 hours. There wasn't much of any crowd, but it was Tuesday afternoon. The atmosphere is as casual as you can get (perfect for us), the beer selection is plentiful, the bartender knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and the food was solid (we didn't eat much, but what we had was good). Unlike most of the places I went in San Antonio (which were all nice but very much touristy), this was clearly authentic and local, and as such in addition to just enjoying the food, drink, and atmosphere, it was a welcome change from the rest. If I were local I suspect we'd be on a first name basis here.

This is a cool outdoor spot with a great assortment of beers and liquor and some pretty good food. It's a really unique outdoor atmosphere, with a large projector screen to watch sports, multiple bars, and even a small playground for kids. The food is pretty solid, and I enjoyed being able to order on my phone and have the food delivered straight to our table. True to the name, all of the employees are friendly! Unfortunately I had to take a star off due to the gross bathrooms. Try and avoid using them if you visit here.

My husband and I had a 10/10 experience celebrating our anniversary at this incredible restaurant. The service was impeccable our servers were kind, attentive, and genuinely courteous. The chefs went above and beyond, not only crafting beautiful dishes but also taking the time to describe each dish and the inspiration behind it. While the portions may seem small at first glance, believe me you’ll be completely satisfied by the end of the meal. If you’re considering making a reservation, don’t hesitate. This restaurant has truly earned a permanent spot in our memories.

Exceptional dining experience. Each dish was thoughtfully themed around Mexican history and locality, delivering not just incredible flavour but storytelling on the plate. We’ve dined at many Michelin-starred restaurants including L’Enclume, and Mixtli easily stands among them. The team provided flawless service and adapted the tasting menu beautifully for my wife’s lactose intolerance without compromising quality. Inventive, elegant, and truly memorable.

What can I say, I'd rather eat my dogs left over food than the dishes that were served. Service was amazing however everything was overly complicated, dishes had little to no flavor. And I had to force myself to swallow some of them. Simply put, it seems they put more effort into explaining the dish and its "history", than effort into making it edible and actually delicious. The alcoholic beverages however were very good. But the servers were a little much, very kind and welcoming however it felt as if they were hovering and stalking their pray. Looking for spoons to fix, napkins to fold and candles to realign, needless to say, way too much and I couldn't even enjoy my company or meal in peace. I do appreciate the effort, professionalism and skill of the staff and chefs, however this far from what I expected a Michelin Star restaurant to be.

Do yourself a favor and eat here before you die. This has been on our bucket list for years and we finally had the privilege to go. You buy tickets online and have the option for cocktail and wine pairings to add to your order. We chose the cocktail pairing and every drink was phenomenal. They even accommodated for my strawberry allergy. Kisha was AMAZING. She was so personable, sweet and funny. Everyone is so kind and takes the time to explain the history, the ingredients and the pairings of each dish. We will definitely be back for the next menu

My wife and I made a goal to try to go to all of the Michelin star restaurants in Texas. We made it through all the ones in Austin and finally came down here to San Antonio. We ate there during the Pacific coast menu and it was amazing. . Food and the service and the atmosphere are definitely worth the price. Keisha was our host and she was a joy to talk to and meet. It’s my favorite thing has strong flavors that all complemented each other perfectly. My wife had a standard wine pairing and was more than pleased.

I booked for my husbands birthday. We went for the Mexican Pacific menu. Most of the dishes were great. A couple were salty and lacked luster. We would definitely go back for another special occasion. The Michoacan was very salty. And I had to get a vegetarian option for the Sinaola, it was Daikon and carrot wrapped in seaweed- worst combination ever, and was so bland.

One of the most unique dining experiences we've ever had. Every dish was served by a chef and presented with a story of its origin. Every dish and drink was incredible. The combined presentation and hospitality is among the best we've ever experienced. This is likely a top 3 dining experience we've ever had.

Despite my issues while trying to book my son's 20th birthday party and him leaving back off for college. I still reserved some bays, and I'm so glad I did. We had so much fun. The food was great, the music was on point, and most of all, my server, Erik, was the bomb. He was on top of everything, very friendly, professional, and most of all, down to earth. So glad we came out. Had it not been for Erik not sure things would have turned out so well.

Loved our experience Staff is REALLY ATTENTIVE (maybe a little too much but…) The games make it honestly… keeps me occupied and focused $5 per person mandatory to be a member $50 for 1.5 hours(90 minutes) playtime Keep up with the weekly deals !!! We didn’t get any food because we ate right before . But the top gold club alcohol drink & it was very spritey couldn’t taste any alcohol . It was a vibe though , cute

Unfortunately I didn’t see that this chicken sandwich was NOT cooked until my son had eaten half of it. No visit from a manager, only the bay host saying we took it off your bill. I come to top golf regularly, I will think twice before eating chicken here again. I would also expect a manager to stop by, very disappointing. A one star review is avoidable with better customer service.

We went to celebrate 2 family birthdays in one evening here, and it was so much fun. We brought the kids and it was very kid friendly atmosphere. Especially since we went during the middle of the week, everybody had a great time. And the birthday people were extremely pleased. We ordered nachos and had some various snacks and drinks and all were delicious. Our waitress was outstanding as well. We will be back

My son and I went to Topgolf for the first time. We simply had an awesome time, more fun than I thought it would be. We ordered food and a couple of beers. Food was fantastic and our server was excellent. We ended up extending our time there because we were having so much fun. I highly recommend making online reservations for a bay. We saw people being told they had over an hour and a half wait because they did not have reservations. OUR bay was waiting for us when we got there. I would come here again for sure.

Such a fun spot! Drinks are SO good, and bartenders always friendly. I had the margarita flight. We also had THE best view from the rooftop bar area.

The staff surprised me with a cupcake, which truly made my day feel special. The real highlight, however, was when I lost a valuable ring during my visit. Not only did someone turn it in, but the staff went above and beyond when I called to inquire about it—they had secured it in their safe and understood its significance. It was my anniversary ring, and their kindness and honesty were profoundly reassuring in today’s world. I cannot thank you enough for your amazing service! When I walked away my wife was approached by this unprofessional male. He asked my wife “be quiet and lower your voice”! My wife is a very fun going happy person and “whoas “ as a she likes music. The dj was good and she enjoyed this songs until this. I suggest unless you are a regular you will probably enjoy this place. I live in stone oak and felt stereo typed. Sadly this kid needs to be Allen to on how to teee as y all customers. Get it right management and ownership!!

Came here at midnight on a Saturday night, we were able to find a booth to sit at. However the place is small so there is limited seating. The drinks were all really good, although it did take a bit to make. The dj was playing really good music, a little bit of everything. I wouldn't come here to chat, the music is so loud you're basically yelling to hear one another.

I have been wanting to try this place out and finally made it. It was great. The atmosphere was great, the bartender Riamond was very knowledgeable and attentive. The happy hour from 4-9pm has great half off drinks. I'll be back for sure. My only suggestion is that they need blinds for the windows as the sun sets as it is super bright and shines off the mirrors.

This place has both indoor and outdoor seating and helpful staff to help you with your wine selection. Would recommend especially if you are tired of the typical US and California wine selections.

Pretty sweet little place where you can basically make whatever you want out of your afternoon/evening. We went on a Wednesday night for the $1 oyster deal. The oysters were delicious and very fresh! We tried a funky wine that was recommended by the staff that was quite funky in a good way. It's quite close to traffic so it can get a little noisy and it has a burger drive through next door as well which kind of hangs heavy but it's a very hip place to be. If you're in San Antonio and want something completely different you should check this place out!

Loved the set up. Wines all over the wall where it doesn’t feel so “pristine” or boujee vibe. Gives off sort of a neighborhood dive bar with graffiti on the outside focused on wine but the selection is great, prices are great, seating is a bit limited indoors as well as parking spots. Can pick up funky wines if you’re looking to explore outside of your “normal” everyday wines. Some of the bottle have descriptors written them and for white, rose, sparkling wines, they provide ice buckets to keep them chilled. It’s definitely a “come as you are” kinda place. Loved it and would come back again.

Great small spot worth a visit. The oyster truck is great to visit on Wednesdays for the dollar per oyster special. Inside the main building you can order some wine and "tapas" style appetizers of olives, bread with butter, etc.. Seating is available inside and outside the building. Parking is available around the building. Service is friendly, super nice and helpful. The wine is limited but tasty.

If you are looking for a chi-chi wine bar where you can order your usual glass of plonk Chardonnay, you won't find it here. This is a cult hangout for irreverent wine geeks. Colourful in every sense of the word--you will love it or hate it depending upon your attitude. Wines are interesting and fairly priced...exactly the ticket for those of us interested in exploring new stuff we would never otherwise try. I loved it. Oh yes, and there's nothing wrong with the service (per other reviews)--very knowledgeable and helpful.

Ambience is the main reason for my wife and I trying this place and it did not let down. Very clean, very quaint, and quietly tucked away off Broadway. Drinks were strong but good, prices were a bit elevated but the entirety of the establishment makes up for it. Overall not a bad place to grab a drink with some friends.

Bar Mon Ami offers an excellent atmosphere with top-notch customer service. We frequent this place and please don’t believe the amount of 1-3 star reviews. You must try this place. Everything on their menu is fairly priced and if you can’t afford, don’t go to a higher class establishment, it’s that simple. It’s a wonderful experience where you don’t have to deal with bar trash and worry about people acting like idiots.The bartenders were exceptionally friendly, and the drinks were both well-crafted and reasonably priced. I’ll definitely be returning again and again! We had to update this when we read some lower reviews. This was the cleanest bar we’ve ever been to. They dust and clean frequently. There are little gems in the bathroom that make it so cozy and you can tell they take care of customers well. It’s the little things and that’s why they are still open.

Close enough to downtown but with very reasonable prices. Best of both worlds! Lots of parking, water available for self service, gorgeous cocktails and experienced mixologists. Great idea, but shady service. The last time I was there, I paid for my party's drinks and then left before them. Then the bar tender charged the others in my party for the drinks a second time. I'm not surprised in retrospect. The so-called bar tender had a rotten attitude the whole time I interacted with her, which felt like seven hours even though it was probably about seven minutes. Definitely don't go here for charm. And watch your bill. I wouldn't put it past them that they try this stuff as much as they can.

Mon Ami is the best bar in town, hands down. Cocktails are crafted by pure wizardry, solid jams are always on deck, and you’ll be in great company, even if you go solo- Rachel, Joel, Carlos, and Miguel are the coolest folks around. My only hesitation in writing this review is that it may draw a crowd to my favorite neighborhood gem. ❤️

The drinks here were great - atmosphere and service not so much. We went on a Saturday night. My husband and I plus one other guy were the only ones in there. Our “assigned” mixologist/bartender was extremely full of himself, loud and borderline rude/childish. He made all our drinks other than the Bananas Fosters which another mixologist had to make because our guy was too busy trying to build a new drink and literally was ignoring and/or forgot about us. The music selection also did not fit the atmosphere of the bar which has a modern speakeasy feel and the music was a 80s techno. Another thing that was disappointing was that the mixologists didn’t make the drinks in front of us. They each had a “personal” setup and would go to their stations to make the drinks. For this type of bar, I was expecting for their to mix it in front of us. Only thing saving this rating is the drinks themselves. The Bananas Fosters was super delish!

This is such a cool little dive. It’s red on the inside, kind of dark…there is bar seating, high tops, and some booth seating. They have an awesome food menu and a very neat drink menu with unique cocktails. There is a photo booth and a pool table as well. I’ve been a few times and had the duck fat waffle fries, wings, cheese curds, ramen, and chili dog all of which were delicious. I can’t wait to come back to try some other drinks and menu items. I came here just for a drink and to play pool. The atmosphere is fun and the service was good, but I can’t really rate the food since I didn’t eat. It’s a nice spot if you’re looking to hang out, grab a drink, and enjoy some pool.

Bargimmiegimmie is without one the best places not only in Southtown, but in Sa. At any point during the week, if you find yourself making a visit, you will encounter a friendly staff that emphasizes customer service. Great drink selections and the game changer is the food. My wife and I enjoy the wings on every visit, in particular Fridays for $1 wings and with a side of duck fat waffle fries. Great weekend bar to enjoy a good ambiance with quality food and drinks late. Would highly recommend bargimmiegimmie to any and all who enjoy fun nights out!

Took my friends here for a birthday celebration. Normally enjoy the atmosphere and the food; however, last night was terrible. Waitress was ignoring us, after waiting for 30 minutes at the table i went up to the bar and ordered drinks. Waitress came up 5 minutes later and asked “What do you want?”she seemed very upset when I told her i ordered from the bar, i still managed to order food with her. She didnt check on the table the entire time and I had to flag her down for another beer. She just nodded and walked off. 30 minutes later I never got the beer so I ordered from the bar again. End of the night, I paid my tab and asked her if she charged me for that beer she never brought. She paused looked around and said “No I didnt”, to which I said okay. My gf luckily requested the receipt and we ended up finding out that she did in fact charge us and lied about it. I bought her the receipt and let her know to which her response was, “What do you want me to do about it?” I requested for the beer that I purchased to which she brought it by slamming it on the table minutes later. I honestly don’t know what I did to piss this woman off but it definitely affected my thoughts on this place moving forward.

Stopped in at Gimme Gimme for a few drinks and really enjoyed it. They have a great selection of top-shelf vodka and scotch. The vibe is dark and cozy, but not too noisy — perfect for an intimate hang or relaxed night out. We didn’t try the food, but saw plenty of people ordering and everything looked really good. Highly recommend!

Joined friends here for steak night and was surprised how nice the interior was decorated. As we were guided to the dining area we noticed an extensive selection of wines and drinks to start the evening. For appetizers we got duck fat waffle fries and crispy Oaxacan cheese curds. Both were excellent and the portions were just the right size for sharing. Our ordered steak was cooked perfectly and stood on its own but also came with a pepper corn sauce as a complement. For a side we got a baby iceberg wedge salad. Every dish was spot on. The service was great and the decor inside made for a nice relaxing dinner with friends exceptionally nice. A must try if you have not tried this new and upcoming restaurant.

Atmosphere: 7/10 Truly a speakeasy experience - not easy to find entrance and requirement of a password (which is unique to every reservation). Inside is designed like a cozy living room with different seating areas. Because of the inconvenient location - far from the city center and adjacent to a barn restaurant - the crowd is not very fun/diverse. Mostly older folks. Only couple seats at the bar and simple backbar. Pleasant slow blues playing in the background Drinks: 6/10 Recommendation: Electric Sheep Small cocktail menu, but with some interesting recipes. Presentation, glassware and garnish are very simple. The taste of the cocktails was good. No coasters Service: 7.5/10 Super friendly staff. Water served on arrival. Prices are average for San Antonio Also, the "German pretzel" does not taste like a real German pretzel (hard shell, soft inside). But it tastes decent. Why not just call it "Pretzel"?

Its all about the experience. From the time you go in, to the time you leave, it is an experience like alcohol is illegal. The drinks are craft handmade cocktails. Just be sure to use the restroom while you are there. All part of the experience, remeber, i was never here, and did not see anyone here either.

You're only allowed to visit if you reserve and get a confirmed password. Hidden behind Barn Door, opened only certain days out of the week, and only allowed 2 hours to enjoy. As you walk inside, you are greeted with a huge smile and a sampled glass of their featured cocktail. The bartenders are highly knowledgeable, and for the most part, their syrup mixers are made from scratch. That's impressive! The ambiance is quiet and intimate. Perfect for a date night. I highly recommend to experience it for yourself at least once.

Great Googly Moogly! Forget Hugman's, if you're into tiki this place is awesome. The drinks were fantastic and after my 1 trip and 4 cocktails, I'm clearly an expert. Calvin kept us imbibed and entertained while shaking out wonderful concoctions. I think we had at least three that were his unique creations. As a spot about a year young, I really hope they continue to do wonderful things. Onto the photos!

This place is kind of hidden, because it's inside the hi tones bar! You have to take a set of stairs to go up and it's like you're in a completely different bar lol. The decor is very authentic Tiki. We sat at the bar and our bartender Hillary was so nice! I really liked the missionary's downfall, it was minty and refreshing. The painkiller was also good but just be warned it is on the stronger side! My boyfriend had the mai tai and the cobra's fang. Really boozy drinks but it was just what he needed!

Tiki drinks were good. Classic builds with some unique house drinks. What lost me was the blaring music. The volume was turned up to 11 and it was impossible to sit and have a conversation with someone next to you. Also we showed up at 7pm and it was dark and no one was there. Neighbors said they dont always open on time.

My veteran sister and I had such a wonderful experience! Our server, Legacy, was absolutely amazing—considerate, funny, attentive, and incredibly helpful. She truly made our visit memorable. She even arranged for Ricardo (I believe that was his name) to give us a tour of the restaurant, which made the entire experience one for the books. On top of that, the food and drinks were excellent. We left feeling so impressed and grateful.

Visiting San Antonio- a friend recommended we stop by. We absolutely loved the experience! The food was authentic, very flavorful and delicious and margaritas on point. The bakery offered so many options, we got a few to go. The murals were amazing and service outstanding. Can’t wait to revisit next year!

This was my first time trying out Mi Tierra Café y Panadería, and I must say, I was impressed! The festive décor created such a lively atmosphere, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The authentic food was delicious, and our server, Nelly—with her beautiful smile—was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and that our order was perfect. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in this part of town in San Antonio!

I’ve been passing by this place every time I go to the Historic Market Square. It is always extremely busy. Finally had the pleasure of having lunch here. And with absolutely no wait time! First off, we parked across Dolorosa street and proceeded to enter through the main entrance. Much easier than entering through the Market Square side. They have a large outdoor waiting area for when they are very busy. It is a very large place that technically does seat a lot of guests. I took many pictures. Saw the iconic Selena shrine. Loved their murals. Our food was amazing. We were extremely fortunate that the service was top notch! The bakers were wheeling out a large tray holding some traditional sweet candy. The gentleman was extremely nice as he set us up with his favorites and handed them to us in a to-go box.

My family and I stopped by for dinner after visiting St. Therese the Little Flower Basilica to have our children experience the food and amazing atmosphere at Mi Tierra as part of our adventure for All Saint’s Day. Upon entering you could hear the tableside mariachi musicians in the background serenading patrons. The front section was beautifully decorated for Dia de los Muertos as we entered and we were greeted by friendly staff. Our wait was 20 minutes and were notified via text both soon before our table was ready in case we left the premises to explore (we went to the plaza to check out the live music and people dancing) and right when it was ready. We were swiftly brought to our seats. Chips and salsa were served immediately. The chips were warm, thin and crispy and the salsa had a wonderful kick. Our server gave us no pressure to place our drink, appetizer and meal orders quickly but did check on us frequently in case we needed her. The queso flameado was a cheese pull dish topped with chorizo and served with a side of fresh homemade flour tortillas. My son ordered the kids’ enchiladas, I ordered the Tacos del Mercado, and my husband got the Poblano Dinner. Portions were decent and with the chips and salsa and appetizer, we ended up taking half our meals home for the next day. We stopped at the bakery counter on the way out to get some dessert/next day’s breakfast and got an assortment of breads and jello. Everything was great quality and tasted fresh. You could taste the spices used to make the pan dulce, it wasn’t just filled with sugar. We highly recommend Mi Tierra to anyone wanting a festive and vibrant experience for your tastes and sights!

This was a fun experience as the server I had was very nice and quick service was on point. He was knowledgeable and his friendliness went a long way with my experience. I ordered a jumbo house margarita and chicken quesadillas. He brought house made chips and red sala which had delicious mild flavor. The Chicken Quesadillas were wonderful. Filled with fajita or shredded chicken. I chose the shredded chicken which had such a flavorful taste and the cheese just ozzed out of the quesadilla. The home made guacamole was seasoned perfectly. The atmosphere festive and enjoyable with a mexican duo singing traditional mexican songs tableside on request. A very nice touch that brough this gastronomic experience full circle. I reccommend Mi Tierra as a location that should be included in your time here in San Anotonio. Located in the Historic Market Place you can't find a better way to lunch or have dinner at. There are plenty of shops to peruse before or after your time at Mi Tierra Restaurant. Oh yes... the House Margarita was a perfect touch to accompany my meal.

One of a kind cowboy spot to check it out. The place is filled with look around objects and great for stop. We didn’t really eat here but took a drink at bar and the hostess was nice. But it’s a good spot to check it out if you are a tourist and in the area.

This is simply one of the "Gotta Go" places when in the area. There is simply so much to take in, from the decor, to the museum, to the great little gift shop, to the historic significance, to, last, but certainly not least... the oft overlooked deliciousness of the menu. This is simply an ideal spot to duck into for a quick refresher at the bar for your parched throat after a nice walk, or for a tasty bit of grub at lunch or for a mid-day snack. Service is impeccable all the way around. Smiles and enjoyment seem to be the order of the day for the staff, and it is infectious. You won't find much unpleasantness here... so step in, kick back, and enjoy the Buckhorn.

Had some family come into town and we were look for different things to check out downtown and this saloon came up. To be honest we didn’t know what to expect but we really did enjoy ourselves. The food/burgers was really good, the staff were friendly and helpful when purchasing our museum tickets. We took our time walking through the museums (about and hour and half) and made sure to grab a magnet to remember it by when we left. Their gift shop has some really nice Texas inspired merchandise, don’t skip it. We will go back, at least for the burgers.

Pretty large restaurant, bar, and museum in downtown San Antonio. The saloon/restaurant is really cool, covered from top to bottom in taxidermy animals. Lots of cool history on the walls. The place also has two museums, the Buckhorn Museum and the Texas Ranger Museum. The Buckhorn Museum has a bunch of taxidermy animals and other curiosities. The sideshow exhibit was neat...but some parts of it weren't working. The Texas Ranger museum houses a nice collection of artifacts from various famous Texas Rangers, as well as a recreation of old San Antonio. A plus is that you get to carry around a beer from the bar while visiting the museums. Had lunch at the end of my visit and the food was pretty solid. There's a lot to see here and you can certainly spend a good deal of time here between the various exhibits and the food/drink. It's definitely a little tourist-trappy, but still worth a visit if you are in the downtown area.

They even had a replica of the Bonnie and Clyde car They also had food and great beers and a arcade with a shooting gallery The gift shop was also alright Would definitely come again

Had a great experience. Was out on the town one night looking to grab a nice craft beer. Was greeted and approached by a very friendly hostess while I was browsing the menu and insisted I go in. I said okay and it was wonderful. Very packed and friendly with a band. I Sat at the bar and miss Gabriella was probably the best service bartender I’ve had in years. If you sit at the bar definitely ask for her. Very professional and made my experience a delight by her conversations and knowledge of the establishment. The beer was cold and the staff was friendly even the band shouted me out! I highly recommend this place , they even have food for the whole family. My new go to spot

We brought our large group and had the best service from Ashley S!! She did a stellar job making sure we had everything we needed. She pays attention to all the details!!! And she was so sweet to talk with- even visiting with my youngest daughter for a while making everyone feel welcome! Definitely request Ashley as your waitress!!! The atmosphere was superb. We were seated right along the riverwalk (although indoor seating was available). All the food from burgers to fish and chips to drinks was delicious! 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic pub. The best staff I have ever encountered in any pub anywhere in the world. Faith found my lost phone for me which I had left in an Uber … nothing was too much trouble for this Angel of a girl. Ashley was our other server as well and she is also fantastic. The manager Jeremy was amazing in allowing his staff to spend time with us to find my lost iphone. Beer is wonderful as well. Great views over the Riverwalk. The premium choice when ever you visit San Antonio Riverwalk. If I could leave 10 stars I would.

Don't know where to begin, food, drinks. music and service outstanding. I didn't want to leave, can't wait to come back. Lots of photo 📸 opportunities, recommend there famous fish and chips. full bars service so you can get a little shot of tequila after dinner.

Fresh fish and delicious cocktail. It could of been that I was dinning alone that too a while for a server to attend but after that she was very nice and attentive. Live musing late in the afternoon

I found the vegan options lacking in flavor. I got the vegan bacon cheese burger. I really want to throw it away, but I won't. Also, I ordered what was supposed to be a sweet mango tea. It was not at all, sweet. It tastes and smells like beer. I will not be coming back. I would recommend Hash Vegan, much better food.

Food is really great. Taco fish and shrimp my favorite ones. They have like 25 different draft beers. During summer is just awesome because it has a playground and bar at same spot. The CONS: their bathrooms are really out of service, dirty.

Had the Blue Bison burger with fries. Bun to burger ratio was a disappointment but the flavor was great. Fries were soggy. Friendly staff. HVAC seemed not to work as well in the dining area. Parking is horrible. This place is a laundromat, car wash and restaurant.

I found this place through a search for gluten free food (celiac). I also can't have dairy, which really limits my choices. I heard that they had great burgers so the rest of my family wouldn't have to suffer possible sub par food because of my restrictions. Wow - I had no idea vegan nachos could actually taste good! Staff was knowledgeable about cross contact and helped me make a good choice. My kids and husband were also happy with their food. I can't remember the last time everyone was satisfied with their meal at the same time! The play area for the kids outside was great! I wish they had a band while we were there, but it was lunch. It is a really fun place with great food and friendly staff. We will definitely be back!

I really appreciated the staff opening the doors for me so I can listen to the live band. Even though they don’t serve drinks I needed help because it was just me and my dog and I couldn’t bring him inside. The food came quick but the response to order or ask for something is a little wait time but if you’re with friends or have kids or dogs it’s a good place. They even offered a water bowl for my dog. I ordered the Real CheeseBurger and for 11 bucks plus 3.25 for fries it’s a good sized dinner.

The food quality was amazing but I do wish the prices were a little bit lower! Especially for their sauces. I got ranch and it was way too much for the smallest little cup of ranch. I got the yardbird which was delicious ! Their burgers range from about $11 to $16 and that's not including a drink or fries . Very disappointed in that part. I don't like how you have to pay for your sides and drink separately. The service for the most part was great. They cleared our tables. But I do wish there was someone who would come around offering refills for drinks. It's the least they can do with the prices they charge . That would definitely up this place. My overall impression out was pretty happy.

There is a reason this place has been featured on food network and other such shows that it's definitely a must in San Antonio. It was one of the very first places that we went to eat when we moved here 14 years ago. Everything is absolutely delicious. My favorite is the black-and-blue bison, and it is outstanding. The burgers are juicy. The fish tacos are delicious. We went in the middle of the week. So there was no wait, we were celebrating 2 birthday parties. It was a great choice.They had never been there and everyone loved it. This is a place that's gotta be on your bucket list for san antonio

Good food, neat house, and decent experience in South Town. Been here a few times, usually good overall. Food is descent overall, but there are some delicious items on the menu to not miss (the burger isn't one of them). Wait staff are a mixed bag, some are outstanding, some barely come to the table and show no hustle. It hasn't stopped us from coming though - that says a lot!

Tell me why this is my fav brunch spot. Started with the bread basket. I'm not sure if their jam is homemade but it's so good. I always opt with the simple breakfast. The potatoes on the simple breakfast could be a tad bit fried better. That's my only complaint. Dinner at the liberty bar is good too. You have to try their chips and queso , salsa flight. That is a 10/10. The cocktails are A+

This is a unique casual place for great food and service in an amazing location. We will definitely be going back. My pics show stairs, but there is also an elevator that goes from the parking lot directly to the dining room.

The outside is absolutely beautiful definitely picture worthy, but I send you step inside. It doesn’t match the outside. The food was not good. It was super bland with no flavor. The service was the worst part. Unfortunately Chloe had no personality and you could barely grab something out of her hand before she was walking away almost dropped our water glasses. Secondly, I was trying to be friendly with her and say her bracelet reminded me when I was younger and I was smiling and she basically gave a look like I don’t give a crap. Why are you talking to me?! I will not be back. Our table was friendly. I left a 20% tip. If not more just the service alone will be the main reason why I’m not coming back. Secondly, the food unfortunately.

Are the locals hiding this place? We came from New Orleans and the food and drink were superb. The vibes and atmosphere 🧑‍🍳💋. Beautiful people that were happy to serve food they take pride in. We got a cocktail and mimosas with fresh oj. We shared plates and got the Pain Perdu. Which was unique and delicious. We also got the Beirut flash back which was the best mideastern dip plate I’ve had in awhile. We also got the chiliques which was better than my dad’s! So much fresh delicious salsas and bright and satisfying. Will come here again!

First time here and it was really good. Old English vibes and the bartender was excellent. Ordered the liberty margaritas and it was good. Would definitely come back

We went to Liberty bar after an Octoberfest event down the street for a late night snack. Their late night bar menu was exactly what we were craving! Their fries were great and came with a super garlicky aioli. Their margarita pizza was the perfect thing to split with one other person as a late night snack as well. The atmosphere was super cool with all the neon signs and interesting architecture. We will definitely be back!

Blue Star is a nice little brewery restaurant in a nice Blue Star district. The beer wasn't too bad with several different types and styles offered. The food was alright: not the best ever but solid pub food. Service was also okay, not bad but not stellar. This is just a good casual pub/brewery for a good beer and bite

Blue Star Brewing is a great spot just a bit outside the downtown core, right along the River Walk. The location is perfect for a more relaxed vibe, and the outdoor patio area is spacious and dog-friendly—huge bonus! The beers were solid, with a couple of unique and interesting ones that stood out. Not all of them were winners, but the majority of beers were really good! The food was tasty and really hit the spot. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for good brews, good bites, and a chill atmosphere.

Ambiance: Local brewery with a patio and indoor dining options. Dog friendly and a great spot for large groups or hanging out on a weekend. The chicken fried chicken was okay - not the best but decent! Their beers were okay as well. They didn't have the biggest selection/options IMO but the service was decent and we had a nice time. Parking onsite - does get crowded!

Made the trip yesterday from Lacoste tx. and decided to head up to Blue star. Like always we were not disappointed. We had the bacon cheddar burger with fries. After we visited our good friend Jimmy at the blue star bike shop and ended it talking about some potential cafe bike builds. Thank y'all for yalls hospitality and see y'all soon...

The service was good atmosphere was good. It was a little early in the day so not many people but for sure the food was horrible. I gave you these huge bread pieces with this tiny bit of meat. Inside of it didn’t have much flavor at all. I felt like I was eating cafeteria food, especially when it came to the hamburgers and things like that. The poppers were OK. Presentation was OK but taste and quality not so good at all. I came home and was sick.

Stopped by to try this place out around 4pm on a Thursday and it did not disapoint! Our kids were with us and they enjoyed the burgers and chicken tenders. Me and the hubby shared a flight and enjoyed all four beers! Fish and Chips were on point and their fries are very, very good! Warning: the garlic fries have 3 tablespoons of minced garlic on them!

My boyfriend and I decided to try out Hot Joy for a date night and had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the Twice Baked Wings (deliciously crispy skin), the Pork Belly Buns (a great portion of pork belly cooked to perfection) and the Prawn + Sausage Rice Noodles (the prawn and the sausage such stars). For dessert we had the Thai Tea Tapioca which was a nice, light, finishing bite. The whole experience was really tied together by our AMAZING server, Abby, who provided a friendly face and fire recommendations. Abby was attentive and went above and beyond, truly elevating our dining experience.

My husband and I love to try new foods all the time. We’ve been to Hot Joy at the old location and twice to the Broadway location. Tonight Abby the waitress described the new dishes in total detail and recommended some of her faves: Firecracker Wings and booyyyy when I say these were fire! They’re spicy, perfectly crispy and are given with a side of tangy pop rocks to dip them in then explode in your mouth! A straight 10! She also recommended & told us the ingredients for what My husband had the pineapple chicken, which was amazing and he also had the crab rangoons w/a side of crab paste, which he truly enjoyed as well & I had the Brisket Broccoli and again wow, another 10 for me! Their new menu didn’t disappoint! Thank you Abby for your recommendations and thanks to Chef John for his creativity on the menu and his great culinary skills! We will return😋 If you enjoy different foods and an mouth explosion stop by and try these dishes, they won’t disappoint!

Dinner was delicious and our server, entertaining. As soon as we told him we were from out of town he proceeded to tell us everything about the area and why dining with them was one of our best choices. They are located in one of the most entertaining areas in San Antonio, River Walk. The entrance to the restaurant is off of the main road, down the alley. It’s well lit and inviting. Feels like you’re entering through a speak-easy entrance. The food is great and so are the drinks. Great place to go with company or by yourself for lunch. You have to try their wings, so, so good and satisfying. We sat near the kitchen so seeing the chef in action was amusing in and of itself.

This place is SO cool! It’s very uniquely decorated and has an awesome menu that’s share-style. Fun drinks too! This is the new location off of broadway street which I like because of the open atmosphere inside. Service was great. A cool place to take friends from out of town. Not too expensive. Highly recommend! We got the twice fried chicken wings, pork belly buns, and sausage and prawn noodles.

Incredible food and atmosphere honestly. Worth the wait in the line to find a seat. Started with the twice fried wings (6pc) and egg rolls (4pc). Both were hearty sized, and enough to serve as an entree on their own. Followed with the Spam Fried Rice and the Tiki Pork Belly and both were just as good. Oh, and the lemonade is homemade and tastes great, sweet if you like that!

So, we visited for dinner on Sunday evening and were very excited by the cool decor, upbeat vibe, so were expecting really tasty food. We ordered Pineapple Chicken and Sesame Chicken, and both dishes were large, ample portions, but unfortunately the chicken was in tight, compact, dry and chewy chunks. Theee was not ample enough sauce to wet your rice when forking it with a piece of chicken. The white rice as cooked fine. We ordered two cocktails, which glasses were full of crushed ice. We probably shouldve order the Spam Fried Rice instead. We left without having eaten even half of our plate, as hobestly, we could have way better, tender chicken at a fast food place. Maybe this place is just more for drinks than food..., but total bill was over 74.00 for 2 people.😥

Great spot for Asian cuisine, they have incredible options from drinks to small bites. I went for lunch and did the bulgogi, I think the meat could’ve been smaller but tasty nonetheless. Definitely would come back for dinner to try more menu items. The drinks are enough to keep you coming back.

I live in Tennessee and every time I visit San Antonio, I have to eat here. The Hot Sicilian is by far my favorite pizza. They also have an amazing banana pepper vinaigrette that is perfect for the pizza crust. The customer service here is top notch! Since I’m only in town for a few days, I noticed they were unusually closed. I emailed to see when they would be back open. Kelly not only emailed me back within minutes, but followed up unprompted the next morning to let me know they would be open! One fair warning, these are gourmet pizzas, don’t expect your average run of the mill type here, but you will pay a little higher because of it. It is definitely a cost I’m willing to pay any day!

Perfectly positioned for easy access from anywhere in San Antonio. Wheel chair accessible. I ordered beer and margarita pizza from the lunch menu. It came with a crazy delicious salad. I parked my bike along the handrail/bar. Traffic is hardly noticeable and the music is at the exact correct volume. I will go back to this restaurant before I go back home.

We stumbled upon this place and glad we did. The atmosphere, the music and the service were all 5 stars. The food… was good, for majority of my group. The two that ordered pizza and one that ordered a benny were satisfied. The two who ordered the French toast sammy were a little underwhelmed. The fennel sausage didn’t work for us, but we would still go back and give other things a try. And thanks for the Momma-Mosas! So good 🥂

One of my favorite spots for Brick over pizza. Pig in a bush is a delicious alternative if you don’t care for pizza sauce. They have Happy Hour all day on Mondays.

Stella Public House, which lays claim to the concept of "farm to table" pizza in San Antonio, Texas, is an excellent spot for a cocktail + a bite! :-) During my first visit, my boyfriend & I stopped in for a pre-dinner drink and appetizer, and we had a fantastic experience. The staff are so kind, and they are accommodating (particularly the bartenders who took care of us)! The vibes inside are quite comfortable and laid back, and the place is very clean + well-kept. Anxiety Hangs is my favorite cocktail of theirs, and they have a really great bread basket concept as an appetizer!! We chose the marinara & baked brie dipping options, and everything was SO delicious. :-) Of note, Stella's farm to table concept does cause the menu options to change from time to time - so there is always something new to try when you come in!!

Had dinner as a rowdy group of 6 and had the best experience. We had Mari as our server and as an avid restaurant goer, she delivered exceptional service and matched our energy. The pizzas were great and the house salad was phenomenal. Highly recommend.

Warning: FOOD POISONING My daughter got severe food poisoning after eating oysters here the only thing she ate all day I did NOT ate any seafood or oysters but a flat bread ! She ended up needing medical care. When I called, management offered zero apology and only made excuses. After reading other reviews, this isn’t an isolated case. Clearly there are serious food safety issues. Avoid this place if you value your health. I will make sure to report this place to the health department

I had Gulf Oysters that was just ok, not real plump or juicy. Drinks were good and refreshing. I would suggest if you sit outside, sit away from the side walk. Lots of foot traffic and people will bump into you.

The staff was super friendly and so nice, One of the members met us with a booming voice and it was awesome!! The food was lacking, we got that tower with shrimp and oysters, the oysters had this weird after taste, they were not cleaned properly, and the shrimp was kinda rubbery. But the cocktail sauce just needed a little lemon and it was good, the crap dip was pretty good. And the drinks were on point

Friends, we just left Paesanos Riverwalk and had an amazing experience with the service and the food (see previous review)! We walked over to On the Bend to have a cigar to finish the evening and we were met with such an aggressive and rude behavior from one of the waitress!!! We walked up to the cigar case (that was unlocked) like Sunday evening when we were there and opened it to see what we wanted to try. On this particular night (Tuesday, March 18, 2025) the waitress in the attached photo walked up to me and snatched the cigar I wished to purchase out of my hand and slammed the cigar cased closed in my face! She screamed at me that we should not be picking our own cigar and had a horrible attitude. Again, we were here on Sunday night as well and we were ALLOWED to open the unlocked cigar case and choose the cigar of our preference. I stated to her that her tone and aggressive demeanor was unnecessary and we were only doing what we thought was acceptable because of our previous experience. Well she did not care and told us we could leave if we didn’t like it. Initially we did leave, but I couldn’t accept that behavior because we were having such an amazing evening and I didn’t feel we deserved such a hateful attitude. We returned a few minutes later and I spoke with the manager named Jessica and I expressed my concerns about the disheartening experience with her waitress. Jessica was very nice and she did everything she could to make it right and try to help us have a better experience. We declined the invitation because we were so disappointed that we were treated so poorly. I really hate that we had truly enjoyed our experience with this restaurant up until the encounter! I won’t go back and I visit San Antonio often. It just felt too personal and somewhat prejudice. Never again for me!!!

Very friendly staff with some amazing food. Their flat bread Mediterranean pizza was the best pizza I’ve had in years! Highly recommended!

A great place to dine right on the river. The service was fantastic and the food was wonderful. I would highly recommend the peeling eat shrimp. Spicy and delicious. The salmon was a little dry but the flavor was excellent. The best part was the music. We sat through 2 jazz bands and it was a wonderful feel.

Never quite had such flavorless seafood in my life. Been all around the world and had the good the bad but this was the ugly. Oysters had a lot of shell and grit in them. And both the oysters and shrimp tasted like they were frozen before. The atmosphere was nice and the waitress was awesome. For the price to go have a shared dinner over $100, not a fan. Cannot suggest.

This is my new East cost Oyster spot and a great menu of delicious food! I had a tomato soup, oysters, and a miso salmon!

What a restaurant!! Silo Terrace Oyster Bar is the perfect spot for an unforgettable date. From the beautiful Foyer to the intimate ambiance and wonderful service. Wine selection is extensive and they have unique cocktails. We started with Ahi Tuna appetizer and half a dozen of various oysters from the East Coast, we were very happy with their oysters selection. I also got a small beet salad, chef kiss! But what stole the show was their Chilean Seabass !! Definitely one of the best in Texas! Make your reservation and be ready for one of the most unforgettable diners you'll ever have!

We came from Fort Worth for our Anniversary and chose Silo to have dinner. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. Each dish we ordered was not only fresh but bursting with flavor. Try Cioppino! Another dish that truly stood out was Roasted chicken which was a perfect balance of textures and tastes. The seasoning was spot-on, enhancing the natural flavors. Another noteworthy aspect of our visit was the service—our waiter, Chris, was exceptional. He greeted us with a genuine smile and was both friendly and attentive throughout our meal. His knowledge regarding the menu was impressive; he was able to make recommendations tailored to our tastes and answered all our questions with confidence. The way he explained the specials made them irresistible! Chris checked in on us regularly without being intrusive, ensuring that our glasses were never empty. Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend SILO on I-10 to anyone looking for a fresh, delicious, and tasty meal complemented by excellent service. Hats off to the entire team for creating such a delightful dining experience!

This restaurant is sure to keep you coming back. From the drinks to the food to the atmosphere, you will not be disappointed! We started off with the petite seafood platter that had enough food for two people. We then had the chef selection of raw oysters which were served with the best cocktail sauce, vinegar mix, and horseradish that I’ve ever had. We continued our meal with the tuna tartar and y’all, DO NOT SKIP the tuna tartar. We concluded with the calamari, which I’m sure is the best in San Antonio! For drinks I got the Bubblin’ Buffalo that is made with Buffalo Trace bourbon and was so good! My husband had the deconstructed old fashion which he also enjoyed. The atmosphere is unbeatable, especially if you can snag a spot on their cozy terrace. Try this place for yourself on your next date night! You will not be disappointed.

Amazing atmosphere and even better food. The cocktails and wine selection are top tier. Marty is the man! And when I say that he is the reason I keep coming back! Outstanding service. The food is incredible from the appetizers to the salads and don’t get me started on the entrees. This place is the go to for any date night!!! Located on the second story and has an elevator which allows for a unique and one of a kind experience! The desserts are the icing on the top!!

Okay, but overpriced. The dining room was smaller & louder than I expected. Maybe sitting outside on the terrace is nicer? If you're not there for the oysters, you're probably in the wrong place. I ordered the shrimp & grits - one of the least expensive entrees on the menu at $29. While the flavors were very good, the shrimp was overcooked, which was particularly disappointing considering the restaurant's focus is seafood, and the elevated prices. My friend ordered the scallops at market price & I was not particularly impressed by them either. All that being said, the service was very good. Our server was kind, professional & attentive, and the manager made the rounds, delivering bar drinks & making sure everyone was happy. It's just not really my type of place - a little too bougie without really delivering on the food in my opinion. If I'm going to spend that kind of money on dinner, I can think of other places that are more comfortable with more consistently delicious food.

Got there early for our reservation and they accommodated us no problem. Cocktails were amazingly made with loads of flavor! With all of the oyster options I couldn’t pick so I allowed the chef to pick and wow was it delicious. Husband had the oysters Rockefeller and the topping was insane! I went with the lobster ravioli and the filling was mostly lobster and I had two beautifully cooked pieces of lobster on top. The sauce was light and balanced well with the ravioli. Husband had the shrimp and grits and the shrimp were beautifully cooked and made his southern heart happy. We split some Parmesan fries and while they were a tad soggy, the flavor was amazing. We got a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary and we both ordered dessert. While the key lime pie was tasty, the coconut pie is INTENSE! I loved the shortbread crust topped with chocolate. It just went with the coconut flavor so well! Ask to sit in Keith’s section! He was the perfect guide to our evening! He knew the menu well, was able to recommend a delicious wine to go with my dinner, and he seemed to know when we needed him. We never had to flag him down. He was personable without being over the top. All in all this was the perfect evening to celebrate our 16th anniversary. My only regret was being too full to do it all again.

The place is very chill, and the beer I got (Ultimus) was really good. We got the giant pretzel with beer cheese, very nice. Across the place was a food truck were we got some chilaquiles with brisket 🤤, really vast and fulfilling, and a chicken quesadilla, very good as well. The only thing the place lacks is more advertisement

Ist time here. Came to support the food vendors on a Sunday afternoon. Fine and Dandy Lion food truck serves the best refreshing natural drinks. Alamo Brewery has always been my favorite brewery. Check them out for yourself!

I feel like this place has a ton of potential, but was not super impressed. The location is not the greatest, not being in the best area and it's kind of away from a lot of things. The service also wasn't the best. On the plus side, the beer was pretty good. Was able to try the King of the Hill Alamo beer, which was really tasty.

Wow! Big parking lot and friendly staff. Beers are really good, but not great. Food can be obtained from separate vendors. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Small sales area for merch related to site. This is a great, non-touristy place in San Antonio!

This is a great brewery in San Antonio. We walked here from the Marriott downtown, which was probably a mistake given the 100 degree weather, plus we got lost trying to find the entrance! But it was worth the trip! The beer selection was great, with plenty of options for all beer drinkers. We ordered a few appetizers, which were all a big hit. Service was super nice and helpful, and it was a nice spot to chill in the AC. They also have a nice exterior area that would probably be nice at night or on cooler days. The view of the Hays Street truss bridge adds to the atmosphere. My suggestion to visitors would be to enter via Lamar Street. There’s a nice big parking lot right there with easy access again. If I get back to San Antonio, I would love to come back to the Alamo Beer Company!

We happened upon this brewery after taking family pictures at the Hays Bridge. So happy we did! Such a great location next to the skate park with great deals. They welcomed us in for bingo and trivia and made sure to include our two boys (8 and 5) to play. We will def be back for karaoke night when we come for our next trip to S.A <3

Stop #2 on a personalized pub crawl. The venue and the staff are exceptional but the beers and food are just so so. For food, the pretzel was yummy but the brisket nachos were overly salty and downright disappointing. In terms of beers, we tried two flights—eight beers—and most of the beers were nondescript glasses of blandness. The two beers that passed the test were the sangria and the delirious devil.
