Sidney James Mountain Lodge - Downtown Gatlinburg offers a variety of accommodations, from basic rooms to rustic cabins with hot tubs. Situated near a mountain stream and within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg and The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, it provides a convenient location for both relaxation and exploration. The lodge features amenities such as pools, a cafe, an exercise room, fireplaces, whirlpool tubs in the rooms, and even pet-friendly options.
My wife and I love staying here. It’s a little older and rustic but a nice place to stay and the beds are nice. They do need microwaves in the rooms but that’s it. The two pools, hot tub, and sauna are all very nice and relaxing. Staff is so nice and friendly and housekeeping is there as you need it. I don’t like anyone’s toilet paper so we always bring our own. Prices are lower and if you sign up you can use their Rewards Program which saves you a little.

Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely stay again! My only complaint was that my cell side room with a balcony was literally only standing room for one and not big enough to sit on. That part was misleading, other them y that it was great. Great staff upon checking in and during our stay. Very laid back with the pool having extended hours to relax at. Pool side dinner was very convenient and good was good.

This place is great. The people who work here are all extremely helpful. The rooms are clean. Be warned they do not replace towels, take out trash, or vacuum for you while staying. However, you can get everything you need from the front desk 24 hours a day. You can just kick your dirty towels out the door for housekeeping in the morning or drop them in a dirty linen basket in the lobby. The Poolside Cafe has good food and is super convenient. The indoor pool no longer has a functional waterfall, but it was fun for the kids. There was a ring of dirt around the tile of the indoor pool. The jacuzzi was lovely and clean. The outdoor pool on the creek side of the hotel is nice. It didn't have a ring of scum. There is a third pool on the court side of the hotel, since the hotel is on both sides of the road. The lobby, cafe, indoor pool, and one outdoor pool are all on the creek side of the street. There is a trolley stop right in front of the hotel on the creek side. It's on the red route of the Gatlinburg Trolley (which is free to ride).

Older resort but very beautiful room. However two nights in row our room key wouldn't work my Husband would have walk to office and get us new room keys both nights, also I know I didn't report it but was hoping to use fake fire place in room and wouldn't work also the floor lamp cord likes fall out of wall plug. Positive comfy beds great hot tub in room very roomy and spacious and lovely views sitting on balcony on creek I could have sat there all day long. Very large room and they have free shuttle which was nice to ride.

Loved Sidney James! Great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. Bathroom could use some updating but not a deal breaker. The indoor pool and hot tub were awesome.
Becky H — Google review
We had a Great stay in room 130 including a peaceful view of the creek off our balcony (two rocking chairs also included). We saw a crawdad, black bear once, and watched a chipmunk every morning run back and forth along the greenery and rocks. We absolutely loved the egg, cheese, sausage biscuit sandwhich and tator tots from the cafe so much that we got it every morning for breakfast (we stayed 5 nights).
Lisa B — Google review
The place would be ok if there was not the constant smell of pot wafting into your room, balconies are nice if you can stand the smell of marijuana in the air. Hotel claims it will charge $150 or more for smoking in the rooms or on the balconies. (BS) They will not do anything about it. Nice location, but not a place to stay because it smells like a pot farm half the time. Too bad. I know we won't stay here again.

Hotel
Nestled in Gatlinburg, TN, The Park Vista - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel offers stunning views of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and top-notch service. Situated conveniently on the Gatlinburg Trolley route, this high-rise hotel is close to various attractions and amenities. The modern guest rooms feature private balconies with breathtaking views, 55-inch HDTVs, cozy Sweet Dreams bedding, and high-speed internet access.
LOOK NO FURTHER - BOOK HERE! The facility was clean and beautiful and we especially enjoyed our own private patio (that every room had!). The only thing that we didn’t care for was the parking. We felt it was not conducive to the needs of the hotel (and it was up a lot of steep hills, which got me at first). The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean! The elevators were very fast and easy to call them to a specific floor. Even with a lot of people in the hotel the first night, we still felt comfortable and like we had our own space. Breakfast was very good, complete with a lot of choices!

This hotel was the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was clean and serviced everyday we were there. My 7 yr old daughter loved the pool. It got kinda crowded but it was labor day weekend. If I had any complaints it is the parking area gets full quickly. Be careful of you take the trolley. We waited over an hour at a stop downtown to only have the trolley come by and tell us it's full and it was pouring rain. Other than that this was an amazing hotel with amazing views!! The gentleman who checked me in was great and the next night Amanda was just as amazing.

We've been going here once a year for many years now and there is several things I love about this place and a few things that could use improvement. The views are amazing. Whether you want to overlook the city or the mountains, this hotel covers both! I wish the balconies had some type of chair or stool because i love to sit outside and enjoy it, but i wonder if this isnt a safety thing. The beds are so comfortable! The pool is amazing for kids of all ages. Thats so important to me because we have age gap kids. My big kids love the water slide and my little can splash in the one for littles. Now the rooms could use some updates, they're pretty dated but they're always clean! My biggest complaint is breakfast...im sorry but its horrible. Every year we try it and every year its so bad! Not even the fruit is good. We pay good money for these rooms and that is supposed to include a good breakfast but unfortunately we either end up going somewhere or just snacking on stuff we bring until we go eat later.

We recently stayed for 3 nights in a bunk bed suite. The view from the hotel was beautiful, and the elevator ride was super fun. The beds were very comfortable. It is a pet-friendly hotel, so we appreciate that we could bring our dog with us and order food in the lobby. The pool was also a hit with our kids. The rooms are a bit outdated, and the room was not very clean. There was a chewed up lollipop under one of the bunk beds and a bunch of trash from a previous guest behind the bedside table in the main bedroom. There was hair left in the shower from a previous guest, too. The restaurant prices were incredibly high for the value ($160 for a breakfast buffet for a family 😳). I ordered salmon on my salad for dinner the first night there, and it was so undercooked that I couldn't eat it. Thankfully, our waitress apologized and removed it from our bill. In the room, the door to the bathroom didn't shut unless you pushed with all strength to close it. The hair conditioner bottle in the shower was also empty when we arrived. Altogether, it was okay, but we would likely not stay here again. Too many issues added together for the price and for a Hilton hotel. It was not worth the money, in our opinion, but glad we tried it.
Kristen S — Google review
This place could be rated above a 5 if it at least offered a free breakfast. The rooms were clean. Two king beds that were comfy! Was nervous about the noise of the other surrounding rooms but had the air on so it blocked out the noise of doors shutting and people. The staff were super friendly. The pool area was nice. The air was warm. Water was cool but not freezing. Kids had fun on the slides.
Alyssa — Google review
Hotel is very nice! We come here every year for my husband’s work conferences. I have always had great clean rooms. They are sadly pet friendly… which is fine if they actually cleaned the rooms. My kids are covered in dogs hair, the beds are covered. I love animals but I want a clean room to stay in. I would rather not have to worry about allergies and my children sneezing and eyes swelling due to the dog hair! I literally need a lint roller. My daughter’s paci is covered in hair. It’s disgusting. I usually try not to give bad reviews unless needed. Sadly wish we knew.
Morgan S — Google review
Great spot with great views. The rooms are a bit dated but it looks like they have remodeled some things in the room. The spot is great if you want to get a little bit outside of town. There are some back roads then that you can use to get to some parts of the town. There are amazing views! Really nice being on the top of the hill.
Joseph K — Google review
My family and I had a good time here. It's a beautiful hotel and a beautiful location. It is further away from the downtown area and you pay a nightly fee to park, so it's hard to justify paying to park downtown. The trolly picks up and drops off at this location, but it's usually a 30 min wait. We didn't eat at the restaurant on site. The pool area is fun. There are two slides. The views from the room are stunning.

Nestled slightly away from the bustling main area, Hilton Garden Inn Gatlinburg offers a prime location on River Road, providing easy access to downtown attractions. The hotel features an American restaurant, saltwater pool, fire pit, and business center. Guests can enjoy free parking and amenities like an indoor saltwater pool and a cozy fire pit area. The hotel also hosts a popular afternoon happy hour with complimentary iced tea and cookies by the stone fireplace.
First time staying at this location and really enjoyed it. It's very convenient being that its on the backside of River Road as to avoid the strip traffic but still having access to it. The hotel and rooms were clean and the staff was kind and friendly. I also really enjoy being able to have a decent hot bacon and eggs breakfast before venturing out.

Almost 5 stars! It was a great stay, great location, Laura at the front desk was an absolute doll as were all the other staff members I encountered. The hot tub was very enjoyable but the jets didn't work on any timed setting and the toilet seat had not been cleaned and had some yucky on it when lifted. The mattress was extremely firm but some people like that I know. Other than those things, I'd definitely stay here again and enjoyed everything else about this hotel.
Valerina S — Google review
This hotel is on the Bring Fido website. Your pet is allowed everywhere in the hotel. We ate dinner there upon arrival and had our dog right with us. It wasn't busy and the menu is limited. I had chicken wings and husband had a burger and fries with dumplings as an appetizer. The room is clean and on the fifth floor there is a gas fire 🔥 place in the room. Didn't need to utilize that during the summer months. The air conditioner was used and has a thermostat on the wall to get the perfect temperature for the room. Parking is $15/day and is within walking distance to the Downtown activities half a mile to the main strip. There is a trolley stop right outside of the hotel.
Linda F — Google review
I agonized over giving it a 4 ( only because of a very few deferred maintenance issues ) but it’s closer to a 5 than 4. Front desk was not there when we arrived but it was worth the wait to meet BRINA. She is so caring and friendly and helpful to all. And always upbeat too. Samantha at the bar / restaurant served us each night and was also a delight. The location is ideal to be within walking distance of most everything, BUT not right IN the hustle and bustle of downtown. Very very clean property inside and out. Our accommodations included a nice balcony overlooking the hot tub and fireplace and the mountains beyond. Excellent hot tub opens early as does the indoor pool and well equipped workout gym. It’s critical, health wise for me to have a pool and / or hot tub when I travel ; fantastic here. Bedding and mattress and towels were all comfy and bathroom amenities are top notch. Pleasant to relax on the balcony as well. Surprisingly good grub at the bar . And the dessert was ridiculously delicious and so filling too. Didn’t have the breakfast buffet but made to order eggs on Ala Carte menu hit the spot just right. Got to meet Kevin W and the AGM the last day. They and all staff always made us feel very comfortable and welcome; we look forward to coming back.

My husband and i stay here every year! We just got home from being there. By far our absolute favorite location!! We have tried anything and everything around Gatlinburg but nothing compares! Great location, great service, great breakfast, super clean rooms and clean area all together! 5 stars are not enough! We were on the 4th floor this past time with a fire place, balcony and jacuzzi which all were awesome!!! We were supposed to check out yesterday but was having such a great time we extended our stay to today and they made it easy to do so!! We even saw a bear while sitting on the balcony come up from the river! If you’re looking for a great place which is local to downtown go anywhere and everywhere by walking this is your place!!! Seriously can not say enough good things about this hotel!

I wish I could give more stars ! This was the absolute best hotel I have ever been to. The customer service was EXCELLENT , even the other guest was friendly , the food was GREAT , the rooms were CLEAN . The custodians even had our room cleaned up and our personal stuff folded for us when we got back from exploring Gatlinburg. When I go back to tennessee for vacation, I will be staying at this hotel again !!
Brila J — Google review
They really need to update the room’s charging system. Two USBs on one side of the bed is all the offer. No type c. Rooms are nice and clean. Digital key had issues but was resolved only after I checked in at the front desk.
Robert V — Google review
EDIT 6/25/25: After my review went live, Hilton reached out to correct the billing and refund the fees. The rest of my review still stands, as the location and service are both really good. I would recommend that anyone staying here check your bill at checkout, before leaving, and keep in mind that parking is no longer free. Adjusted my overall rating to 4 of 5. - ORIGINAL 6/21/25 (2 out of 5 stars): Otherwise good experience soured by billing errors and hidden fees. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Garden Inn Gatlinburg. The location was great, allowing us to walk to the main street easily. And it exited onto a less busy road from the main street, making coming and going via car easy as well. The staff were very friendly, especially the breakfast staff, and the food was good. The room was clean and well stocked with clean towels, and we enjoyed the balcony. . However: we had paid for complementary breakfast. On the first day, we were handed a bill at the end of our breakfast with a total applied. I didn't make a fuss to the server, because I wasn't sure how this was typically handled from a billing perspective, but before I went upstairs, I confirmed with the front desk that the billed amount would not be applied to the room. This was confirmed by the front desk. The following morning at breakfast, our table had a "complementary breakfast" sign, and when the bill was brought, the total was crossed out. The server (different from day 1) told us that it would not be billed to us. The remaining days were the same. Because day 1 was different, I did check my itemized bill when I returned home. Unfortunately I found that I had, in fact, been billed for the first breakfast. . Infuriatingly, I also found that I had been billed for parking. At the time that I made the arrangements, parking was listed as free on the website, and there was not a notice that this had changed (although there is now). I double-checked my confirmation email to confirm this. We were not made aware that there would be additional charges for parking at check in. I contacted the billing email address for clarification, and was told I would receive a refund for the breakfast (refund for parking was not confirmed). I still do not have a pending credit. . These billing issues have severely soured our experience, that up until we left we were raving about. We went from "we will definitely come here the next time we're in the area" to, well, "probably not".

The Edgewater Hotel and Conference Center Gatlinburg offers a prime location in the heart of Gatlinburg, providing easy access to various attractions and activities. The hotel features balcony-equipped rooms with amenities such as micro-fridges, complimentary breakfast, and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy trout fishing on-site and take advantage of meeting spaces and pools.
Perfect location. Everything for us that we wanted was within walking distance. Room was clean and the AC kept it extremely cool which was important to us. Bed was firm, but still comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was good (I thought the biscuits were delicious and some of the best i have ever had). Friendly staff and could not beat the price for the location, view, breakfast, and pool. One suggestion would be to put some sort of grip strips on the stairs in the pool area. They get very slippery and I did fall down them. But I would stay here over and over again. Thanks, Edgewater!

We only had to walk through one parking lot to get to main street. Great view of the mountains from our deck. Hotel is a little older but kept up well. Only one hot tub worked but it felt great. We traveled in early September.
Lynda N — Google review
We had a good experience! It was quiet, even though I’m sure the hotel was probably booked up. I’m happy they had garage parking. It was just a few minutes walk from the strip. The room was nice and clean. I just wish I had paid a little more to get a better view. Our room was on the back, so there wasn’t really a good view. I liked the balcony. The staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful. They have a hot breakfast every morning. We enjoyed our stay. For those of you who have young children, it’s just a couple minutes walk to the aquarium.
Tina W — Google review
My friend and I had a weekend retreat in Gatlinburg and stayed at the Edgewater Hotel. It was during the peak season. My only complaint was the toilet, being what I consider, a baby toilet. We stayed on the Riverside 8th floor and the view was amazing. We did not see any Bears which was a disappointment but all in all it was a great weekend. The food at breakfast bar was delicious. The parking was perfect since I had handicap sticker. ♿️ The Trolly was close by & I did have trouble getting on it since step was too high as I have arthritis. Shop's were within walking distance & scene of Gatlinburg was a buzzing!
India H — Google review
The location is great, friendly accommodating staff and decent breakfast. It is very loud if staying on the strip side however they moved us when we asked.Cannot believe they are charging for parking. I drive a large vehicle and could not find a space open. The security man came and got us into a space which was very nice.Probably wouldn’t stay there again just because of noise and parking but if that doesn’t bother you then give it a try

Well worth my time to write this! There are very few hotels I stay in that I can rave about... my business is very unique in some of the hours we work. So I had some special requests when I called to make the reservation. The lady was very nice and put me on the phone with the manager Debra. I explained to her what I needed and why. She was more than willing to help me. It's rare that you find customer service these days but everyone there went above and beyond to make our time there enjoyable. I highly recommend you give it a try. Also, their breakfast is really good, hot choices as well as the normal hotel breakfast items.
Shawn M — Google review
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Rooms were great and had a small balcony. The only thing I hated was the parking garage, very small and tight. It was hard getting my truck parked and then getting back out. The service was great, food was wonderful as well.
Sara C — Google review
Hotel is dated and the pool was under construction, but the location is superior with a room overlooking the creek with easy access on River Rd. With a major renovation this could easily be one of the best spots in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg. We were also able to enjoy the bears in the creek below from our balcony.

Holiday Inn Express Gatlinburg Downtown, an IHG Hotel, is a modern and relaxed hotel offering comfortable rooms and suites. Situated in the heart of Gatlinburg, it's conveniently located near popular attractions like the Gatlinburg Space Needle and Convention Center. The property boasts excellent user ratings for its cleanliness and overall experience.
We stayed with a time share in the IHG hotel as signature members and it’s been fantastic. The rooms are great, showers are spacious and the view from the hotel is great. The pancake house across the street is amazing also. They have a hot tub and pool inside and out, there’s a fire pit, gym. Very nice place. There’s even a water park for the hotel

A short walk into Gatlinburg makes this a good place to stay if you’re visiting. We’re from England and found that if you find a hotel that’s clean and comfortable as a chain then stick with what you know. Ice machines are a welcome find in these hotels, especially in the September heat. Breakfast is a serve yourself and was well stocked at this hotel with plenty of choice. Toiletries are provided as is free parking. With an amazing view of the Smoky mountains.

This is the BEST Holiday Inn that I've ever stayed at, and although it's a couple of years old it seems like brand new! Keurig coffee in my room and fresh ground, & then brewed coffee available during breakfast....just WoW. This coffee lover was very impressed. The breakfast buffet had lots of variety to satisfy many tastes. Bonus to this is the attached Waterpark. 3-4' pool for very short laps or just sitting in for an adult option. Located just a few blocks off the "main drag" in Gatlinburg. I was very satisfied staying here and I highly recommend this hotel.

Exceptionally well kept place. Have stayed here for the past 2 years while visiting a friend. Beds are so comfy. Short walk to main street made this place an excellent choice. Indoor pool, fitness room were very clean as well. Front desk staff are very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area and suggested places to check out! It helps when they employ the locals. Would definitely recommend this place!

A+ Stay! Not just a beautiful hotel — the staff here is outstanding! Lance and Jessica at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. This Holiday Inn Express exceeds the usual standard, from the breakfast area and all-day coffee machine for guests to the great gym and pool — everything was top-notch! When we arrived, our room had a foul smell, and we later discovered the carpet was soaked near the couch and the wall adjacent to the shower. Most likely a leaky pipe. We reported it to Lance, and he immediately moved us to a new room so we wouldn’t be delayed for our Dollywood trip in the morning. No waiting around for a manager's approval — just quick, thoughtful service. We had also bought ice cream from the market, assuming our in-room refrigerator had a freezer section. It didn’t, but Lance and Jessica kindly stored our ice cream bars in the employee freezer for three nights and retrieved them for us each evening. That kind of guest service is rare in today’s hospitality industry. Lance and Jessica truly represent the company in a way that deserves recognition and reward. We will 100% be staying here again on our next visit to Gatlinburg!

Here is a review from a person that has spent enough time at different IHG places on the east coast. Yes, the price is higher and yes you could save some money with staying in Pigeon Forge at another chain hotel, but here is what you will miss. The rooms are as clean, just like 90% of the other IHG locations I have stayed at. The distance to downtown gatlinburg is in walking distance. Yes it is a little up hill on the way back from the town, but it is not a bad walk. As I stated, the price is a little higher, but I do take in account that this one IHG has the best fresh breakfast of ANY IHG that I have stayed at. The cost of breakfast in gatlinburg can be semi-costly (unless of course you do fast food and for that, you would need to drive a little distance). I figure I am not paying for a great breakfast everyday, that saves us some money. The times I have been at this IHG, the customer service people have been friendly. The last time we were there, they had a water leak in the lobby from the ceiling and yes IHG did give everyone notification that mid day on a certain day the water would be shutoff. I do not blame them for this. Things happen and I am glad that they corrected the issue quickly. What am I not a fan of at this hotel? Parking. We always seem to go at peak times, so parking is a struggle. Yes, there are some spots in the back of the hotel, but majority of the parking is in the front. Depending on the time of day you arrive, you could struggle finding a parking spot in the front. This is not a blame on IHG because just like most properties in the mountains, there is limited land. They give you a tag to hang from you mirror to stop non-hotel people from getting free parking. Do they monitor that everyone has this hanging tag from the mirror? I would say no and I found a few cars that did not have this tag. So one improvement is they should at least check the parking lot in the peak hours (evening hours). It ihas a beautiful area to eat, but the pool was small. If you are willing to pay little extra money, but get tons of benefits (walking distance to downtown gatlinburg, excellent free breakfast, etc.), it is for sure worth it!

We booked this hotel because of its highly reviewed. Without disappointment, this is a decent place to live for several nights. They have great indoor pool facility. The shower water is strong. Enough place for parking and hotel environment is cozy and clean. Great value for the price.

Beware of this hotel as the pictures on their website/app are not a true indication as to what the hotel offers. The advertise a kid craft/playroom and it does not exist. They have pictures of a standard 2 queen room that do not match what they actually offer (the actual rooms are much smaller as indicated by the distance between the bed and chair). I brought these items up and nobody cares besides offering 5,000 points. The pool is nice but that's about it. The hotels also not properly secured as it is always unlocked in the back because I don't have a working lock. So instead of locking the door and keeping it secure, they keep it unlocked at all times risking safety of all guests.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Gatlinburg, TN, the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson offers a delightful retreat for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. This charming hotel boasts an array of amenities including a heated indoor pool, a well-equipped fitness center, and a complimentary hot breakfast to kickstart your day. Guests can enjoy spacious rooms featuring modern conveniences like coffee machines, microwaves, small refrigerators, and cable TV.
Was a little worried seeing the reviews but took a chance and so glad we did! The room was very clean and comfy. Some reviews talked about staff telling you to park across the street if parking was full but then cars were towed, I have no idea if that is true, however there seems to be plenty of parking between the front and back. At check in we were told not to park across the street, that if there wasn't parking to come back in and they would show us where to park. If they did have a problem, you can tell the managers did their job and corrected staff, and the staff listened. The staff were very friendly. We did not eat breakfast there but it smelled really good. The hotel is in the perfect spot for walking around downtown and not having to find parking. The pool is in the basement and open til midnight, which is really nice. We usually get in late, eat and then have nothing to do but we were able to enjoy the pool which is set up very nice. Inside makes it better because if it rains, you still have something to do. We will definitely be staying again.

Do not recommend staying there. Their beds are really uncomfortable, very hard and really high. Almost have to jump to get into them. The shower was really slow. Took about five minutes to get hot water. The drain did not work right the room we stayed in stunk really bad it just had an awful musky smell. We told them to clean it more than once they cleaned it and it still smelled like that was terrible. The air conditioner rattled and banged could hardly sleep at night sounded so bad. Their food could’ve been a lot better. The guest laundry was not working. I asked them when it will be working. They said tomorrow morning it was not working by tomorrow morning. when we left, the laundry was still not working, which was three days after they told me it will be working by them in the morning. They can lie faster than they blink Overall, it just seemed kind of dirty. and definitely not worth the price of the rooms. The parking lot is terrible cracked almost could trip and fall.👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

This has been a great hotel! You can tell it has been renovated recently. The staff is all so professional and kind. The pool facility is enjoyable and nicely equipped. The gym was under renovations so I am sure that will great when they are done. The rooms were very clean. The balcony area was clean. Location is extremely convenient if you are wanting to be kn the strip. You can walk to anything and stay parked for FREE at the hotel. Parking is up to $20 a pop everywhere. The breakfast was a full spread and actual plates; not paper. They kept os clean and stocked. Well worth the stay. Infact we feel we got a great deal for the benefits we got from staying here.

We just stayed here this past week. Staff was very friendly. Hotel and rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. Location is great. We were able to take things we purchased back to our room so we didnt have to carry them around all day. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and had the usual amenities. The location was great, not far from all the attractions at all, 30 sec walk and your there. The staff was amazing! I had the greatest experience because of the staff. Sherika and JR were the kindest of all the staff we meet during our stay! I hope they get recognized for their professionalism and just all around kindness because they were amazing.

Overall its ok, fresh breakfast daily, quite, nice pool area, coffee and water, juice on tap all day and night. The guest laundry room is out of service and apparently has been for awhile now according to others, so that needs more attention brought to it. Minor inconvenience, the employees are nice and helpful. Overall rooms could use a deep cleaning as there is hairs randomly on the mattress bottom, moved them out to check for creepy crawlers, found no bugs. So thats a plus but there was hair, also no towel racks or anything just the old nails and spots were there once was still in the wall. Bedding could be updated, was basically 3 thin sheets instead a thick comforter or duvet. Overall it was ok. Could be better with a little bit of attention though.

Ok hotel. Outdated but somewhat reflected in the price. Beds were clean. Excellent location. Terrible parking situation for busy times of year. On our last day, housekeeping tried to come in our room despite having the "do not disturb" hangar on the door. I also heard her knock and said "no thank you!" Very loudly, but she still tried to come in. My husband and I were in our underwear in the bathroom, which is in full view when you open the door! Then, after we shut it back, she knocked AGAIN! And tried to enter AGAIN! Makes me wonder if they try to come in your room when you're gone, regardless of the DND sign displayed.

Just spent 3 nights and it was great every thing was always clean, the beds were very comfortable, the breakfast was always great with plenty to choose from. When booking ask for adjoining rooms and was very pleased to receive them and the rooms were a nice size with plenty of room. The balcony had a good view and enjoyed seeing the bear and geese , far enough from noise but close enough for walking to everything. We will be back again thanks to the friendly staff that were always nice and ready to help.

The Sleep Inn & Suites is a downtown Gatlinburg hotel with a heated indoor swimming pool, an on-site fitness center, and free continental breakfast. It is less than 2 miles from Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
I love it here. This is only 2.5 stars on the price line where we booked the hotel but this is excellent. It’s super cheap. We got a sweet. It’s clean. Has a microwave refrigerator in the room. We got a room with a jet tub in it. It has a regular pool that’s cold and then a lazy river that’s warm and then a hot tub that is also super warm and excellent. Breakfast is good. Definitely recommend this is a hidden gem
April B — Google review
Stayed at the Sleep Inn Gatlinburg for a Tuesday night mid-October. Was spending two days in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and this hotel was a good option for the intervening night. The reception desk informed me that the stay at the hotel gave me 10% off my meal at the pizza place adjacent to it. My room was on the third floor and the hotel had a clean functional elevator. Also saw a swimming pool while walking to and from the parking lot. The hotel parking lot encompasses both levels you'll see as soon as you drive in from East Pkwy. The location is pretty good - if you're coming from Rainbow Falls, you don't hit many intersections or pedestrian crosswalks. If you're going to Newfound Gap, you hit all of them because you have to go through downtown Gatlinburg. The breakfast room is spacious, and they had enough good options to make for a filling meal - the usual scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, toast, fruit juices, etc. Paid around 90 bucks for the night booking through hotels.com

What a gem of a place! Found a cheap $45 rate first of October, and I figured well for that price, it will be worth it no matter what. Pleasantly surprised by this place! It’s definitely older, you can tell by the outside. But the inside is renovated and clean. All of the staff was nice, the breakfast was good, lots of options. I did read prior reviews that said there wasn’t many floats for lazy river so we brought pool noodle. We literally parked, and it was so nice to not have to pay to park in Gatlinburg, we didn’t get back in car til after checkout. You can be on main strip in 5 minutes, it was like 7-8 for me pushing a stroller. I will literally be staying here again just to sleep in that bed again. That was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had a hotel. I’m now questioning why I have stayed at way more expensive resort with lots of extra fees. Very glad I tried this place, and we will definitely be back. Thank you to this place, with prices going crazy on everything, it was really nice to be able to have an affordable one night getaway.
Amanda H — Google review
The hotel is located just off of Gatlinburg’s main strip. It’s within walking distance. The rooms were clean, the hallways needed vacuumed, and the bathrooms in the rooms weren’t the cleanest. The shower had mildew in the creases of the walls and the shower curtain had mildew on the bottom. There was no safe in the room but had microwave and fridge. There’s no drink machine or snack machine on premises that will take debit or credit cards, only cash. There’s no ATM on site so if you want a drink or snack bring cash with you. The price was nice, only $190 for 3 nights during the week. There’s breakfast was free and had eggs, sausage, bagels, and waffles. Staff were friendly. There’s a parking garage with 2 levels so there’s enough parking but the parking is very tight with no room to maneuver if it’s packed full of cars. Overall I don’t think I would stay there again and if I did I would ask for a room with a balcony and I would bring my own drinks and snacks or try to remember to bring cash.

Came on Sunday Oct 19. Rooms are really nice and clean , love the balcony, the beds are pretty comfy, shower is ok, breakfast is ok, scrambled eggs , sausage, juice and other items. Pool room is nice. Ive watched a guy clean the pool while I was eating breakfast. Would come back and recommend it.

Stayed couple days. The entire place smelled very clean. Beautiful and spacious clean room, GREAT last minute price, and short walk to the strip so we didn't have to worry about parking. Wish we'd spent more of our Vaca here. Mostly one gentleman working when we saw desk staff and he was absolutely delightful! Ice machine on our floor didn't work, but hey, if it's a great place - who cares about going down one floor to get ice? So many places are short staffed, but if these folks are short staffed they are doing a great job in spite of it!
Lora T — Google review
Oh, where to begin. This hotel just has a weird, old design. The parking is bizzare, especially if you have any mobility issues. There are a total of two handicapped parking spots close to the front door and all other parking spaces are on two levels behind the hotel itself with no elevator access to get back into the building. It's just not convenient at all. There is no bathroom in the tiny lobby so please make sure you don't need one when you are checking in. The luggage carts are odd; they are very small and they don't allow for you to hang any garments. Also, our hotel room has no bureau of drawers or shelving to put your clothes. Instead there is a small open space under the microwave and another small open space under either side of the bed. We had no shower soap, shampoo but no conditioner, a snack machine at the end of the hall but no beverages or water. On the upside, it was quiet on our hallway and the bed was comfortable enough.
MaryBeth J — Google review
We had some problems with our 1st room with the heater. The front desk moved us to a room on the 5th floor. It was noisy due to the cars driving on the street. The room was clean which kinda made up for noise. The hotel could use a lot TLC on the outside & inside the hotel.

The inn offers cozy accommodations with rustic wooden interiors that evoke a warm, cabin-like atmosphere—perfect for those seeking a touch of nature during their stay.
This September will be our 3rd year in a row here. The first year I will admit the rooms needed updated, the second year they were updated and still under construction but ours was awesome. City view, love it. Love the location, love the staff. I think Robert is a nice guy and filled me with all sorts of information and was helpful. It’s by shops, the park, and so many places to eat. I don’t mind the noise from the city. Most people reviewing and complaining about it are either lying or just wimpy. Take my word for it, this is the best location to stay at,

This hotel was amazing! The rooms are so clean and perfect. The pillows were awesome too! We loved the balcony and sat out there at night. The rooms were also very quiet. It is located right in the middle of Gatlinburg so we could walk everywhere we went. Highly recommend this place.

My g'daughter and I decided to go on a last minute vacation (decision, reservations, drive, and arrival in less than 24 hrs) to Gatlinburg. We were very happy with the hotel, it's location, and our room. We were directly on the main drag and had a balcony with 2 chairs. The room had a fridge, micro, and plenty of room for us, our luggage, snacks, games, and etc. We were within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to do/see. The Ober Mtn Tram and the Sky Lift to the Sky Park and Sky Bridge, amongst many other venues, were each a 5 min or less walk. Both were fantastic!
Deb T — Google review
While the staff was lovely, the room was clean, and the location unbeatable, that’s really all I can compliment on this place. We ended up with a wheelchair accessible room which, at first seemed great since it was myself, my husband, and our two kids. There was a pullout bed in the couch. I’ll go ahead and assume that mattress was going to be…not great, but the main bed was horrible. That mattress was so uncomfortable I pity anyone that has to use it. The shower was unacceptable. The entire floor was so uneven that all your shower water pools next to the toilet. Nothing like setting your clothes and towels out (on the floor, mind you, because that’s your only option aside from the toilet lid) only to find it all soaked. The chair blocking the entry to the main bed just seems like a huge mistake since this room was meant for people that NEED the space to get through. (Yes, I understand my able-bodied self could move the chair, but I’m also considering the people this room is meant for) And the added kick in the teeth? The final straw that would incite violence in the calmest of people? You can hear EVERYTHING. The cars on the road. The people laughing/chatting outside. The other hotel guests talking IN THEIR OWN ROOMS. For the price point, this hotel is unacceptable.
Marie D — Google review
Older but newly renovated hotel at the end of the strip. It rivals my OCD grandmother’s house in terms of cleanliness. It’s evident the Black Bear Inn team cares about presentation and guest experience. Their team is warm and welcoming and goes above and beyond to ensure guests are well cared for during their stay. A standard no frills complementary buffet style breakfast is served by staff every morning. I thought this was a nice touch so food wasn’t hovered over by guests. We had a good fortune of having basically a mini swimming pool in our room, which was fun. I haven’t seen a Jacuzzi tub that big in years! Haha! The housekeeping team came daily and refreshed all of our towels and linens and made adorable towel art that greeted us at the end of each day. The level of care and attention to detail from their team is 10/10. Big shout out the “two-time retired” gentleman that works at the front desk. I believe his name was Robert. He has the patience of a saint and handled multiple customer requests with grace. He’s a gem!

Good location. Obviously undergone some recent renovations which is nice. Breakfast is just ok at best. Outdoor pool is clean but the water external house is missing panels and needs some love. We were told it has a sauna and it does not. Price was good. Nightshift lady could use some training.

Nestled in the heart of Gatlinburg, Margaritaville Resort Gatlinburg offers a tropical island experience with a mountain twist. The resort features airy rooms and suites, some with electric fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. Guests can indulge in the spa, take a dip in the outdoor pool, or savor beach-inspired food and drinks at on-site restaurants and bars like License to Chill Bar and LandShark Bar and Grill.
I looked at over 15 places to stay in Gatlinburg and finally decided on Margaritaville and SO glad I did! The service at check in, breakfast, the bar, and poolside were all incredible! Everyone is so helpful and kind. The hotel is very clean and kept up with. The location is great. You're just far enough down that you can easily get out if you're driving somewhere but close enough to walk to all the things!! The waterside at the pool was a huge hit with the kids! There was a bird show on Tuesday morning at 9:30am. We got to hold the birds and learn more about them. They also offer poolside service which was a nice added bonus I wasn't aware of at booking. 10/10 recommend for your next visit!

The rooms were great, with lots of space, with the exception of the beds. They were older and had the bowing where each person slept, very uncomfortable. The pools and hot tub are incredible, the 2-story tanning area is excellent, and the bar/restaurant/coffee house was all exceptional. It was great to order food and drinks right from the pool and have it delivered. The concierge and staff were all friendly and helpful. The interior/exterior design is very well appointed. Close walks to everything. The Live Country Band on Saturday rocked. Secure parking, valet on duty for easy access to your vehicle, two outdoor covered fireplaces with ample seating. Highly recommend for everyone, including families. We will be back next year!

This hotel was one of the best I have stayed at. Clean, friendly and attentive staff, it was a very relaxed environment. The crowd seemed to be older which was amazing, less BS and more relaxation. We had our kids with us and they were welcomed and treated amazing. I will without a doubt be back to this location. Everything was top notch!

This is the best place I have stayed at in Gatlinburg. The staff is amazing. Moose is the best valet attendant ever. We only used our car one time after our arrival. We walked to everything. You can stay here and not leave the property if you like. The food and drinks are great at the resort. The entire property is clean and well maintained inside and out. Do not procrastinate if you plan booking services at the spa because they do stay busy. This is where I will be staying when I return.

We booked a 3 night stay here for our anniversary based on all the good reviews. Unfortunately our experience was quite different and we cut our losses and checked out after only 2 nights. The good: location is right on the strip in Gatlinburg and walkable to attractions. Pool facilities looked nice although we did not use them. The bad: the beds and pillows were ridiculously uncomfortable and led to very poor sleep and extremely sore backs for our trip. The bed linens and towels were stained and it was questionable if they had actually been laundered. The towels also had multiple holes and were frayed. This would be fine for a Motel 6, but not when paying several hundred dollars a night for a nice stay. My wife was so disgusted by the multitude of stains on the sheets and towels, that we decided to cut the stay short. When we politely explained the reasons for our early departure at checkout, staff could not have cared less. Unfortunately, would not recommend this property for these reasons. You can save a lot of money and stay elsewhere on the strip if you are okay with rock hard beds and dirty linens.

This was our first time not getting a cabin, chalet, or camping there. Best decision ever! Great service, friendly folks, great food, etc. Close to everything, walking distance to it all without the hustle bustle of typical Gburg traffic that is slow. Next to trolley system too if you want to bop around for free transportation and nearby my fave place Ranger Bobs and got to walk over to Anakeesta for some fun!

Had the best time! Rooms were spacious and beautiful! Lobby was so welcoming and gorgeous, my kids never wanted to leave the pool area and either did the adults! Pool service for drinks was very slow but they did apologize. Live music in the lobby was awesome! We especially loved Jacob Johnson! Locations could not be better! We were able to have our larger van parked and just walk to most everything we wanted to do in Gatlinburg!

Gatlinburg Town Square is a casual creekside resort offering studios and 2-bedroom apartments, along with indoor and outdoor pools. It's conveniently located near the downtown area, providing easy access to entertainment, shopping, and nightlife. The resort boasts comfortable guest rooms with amenities such as a 24-hour front desk, fitness center, and free Internet access. Additionally, guests can enjoy an indoor pool open year-round and a seasonal outdoor pool.
The complex was clean. The checkin was at a different location but there were signs to direct you. The staff was kind and full of information. We were directed to the wrong elevators but we quickly figured out where to go. Our room was a pleasant surprise. Much more than we expected. The water fall on the complex was a welcomed addition to the environment. The location was outside of the main drag in town but within walking distance to get to the action. We really enjoyed our trip and our experience.

I stayed here for two nights with my fiancé, and this place is more of a 3-star hotel at best. If you're just looking for a cheap stay within walking distance of Gatlinburg, it might be okay—but don't expect much beyond that. The service was disappointing. When we asked the front desk for clean towels or help tidying the room, it took most of the day for anyone to respond. And when they finally did, all they gave us was a bag of towels and sheets to do it ourselves—not exactly what you'd expect from hotel staff. The layout is also confusing. There are two buildings: one that looks nice but has a closed check-in center, and the actual main building a few blocks away. This setup was misleading and made check-in frustrating. The rooms near the main building also looked pretty rundown and unclean. On the plus side, the AC worked well and the room was fairly clean when we first arrived. But overall, the quality and service just don’t match the high rating. I wouldn’t stay here again unless I was on a tight budget with low expectations.

Teresa at check in was wonderful. Great customer service, and made us feel very welcome, as did Lee. The room was close to pool, and very clean. Bears did come onto property, but weren’t threatening. Maintenance did a great job managing them. My only complaint would be after checking in having to go to hospitality to get a time share lecture before getting parking pass. I was tired and just wanted to go to my room. Check in has no control over that, so I couldn’t be upset with them. They were wonderful. Overall it is a very nice place to stay.
Melissa M — Google review
It was definitely a clean bed to lie in, which is still better than a lot of places. It is a good place to stay if you want to be walking distance from downtown, but don’t expect much more than that. My husband and I unknowingly booked an ADA compliant/wheelchair accessible room which had no bathroom door ? Unsure if that’s typical for these types of rooms, but either way that’s kind of crazy to me. Since you’re in a wheelchair, you don’t deserve any privacy? Staff was very accommodating and moved us to a different room, but like others have said, the layout is super confusing. A few elevators don’t work, or only work in one direction. Frustrating, but definitely not a deal breaker. You’re getting what you pay for here, but don’t expect anything more.

This is a timeshare property!! It was not disclosed on the booking site we used. They hassle you on check in to join their timeshare and try to up sell you making the check in process almost an hour! The THREE ladies at check in desk(which is down the road from the hotel) were all playing on their phones and acted like working is a bother for them. Was given wrong room so had to go back to get another keycard. Entire property is disgusting. Everything is old and falling apart, wood is rotted out. Everything is rusted. Concrete is in pieces. Room was disgusting and dirty. Didn't even use the tub it looked like from the 70s. Couch, carpet, everything was not cleaned in 30 years. Absolutely disgusting. Elevators don't work. Pool was dirty. Outdoor hot tub was falling apart and made loud noises couldnt even talk. They refuse to provide a receipt upon check out!!! Which is illegal! Then they constantly call at all times of the day and night with spoofed local numbers offering "specials" and "deals" to join their timeshare!! THEY SELL YOUR INFORMATION FOR SCAM CALLS!! SAVE YOUR SANITY AND AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

I booked a 3 nights 4 day stay in a two bed room condominium with a balcony, an in room jacuzzi, so I get together checked in an get to our room to find nasty food in the microwave and dirty dishes with what looked like mold on them in the sink . Not really thinking it through at the time about the bedroom for being mad about the dirty room , I walked out side and looked in the rooms window next door and the realized that the room I’d booked wasn’t the type of room they had put me and my family in , our room was a square box with 1 bed an a couch that folds out , I called to complain an was told to say something to the manager in the morning, so I done so . And 10 hours later was moved to a 1 bed room condominium which again wasn’t what I’d booked , I said something again about this an was told they don’t have two bed room condominiums so we made the best of the situation and stayed in the room . Don’t get me wrong other then not being able to flush the toilet with out plundering it to get even pee to go down the room was nice but again it wasn’t what I’d booked . So the day I checked out after complaining they offered us a complimentary 1 night 2 bed stay at the other location where you check in . After going to bed my wife was woken by roaches crawling on her an she jumped up turn the light on to find roaches was everywhere on the floor, table, counter and worst of all on the food that we’d bought to make breakfast for our kids . (Nasty) . So my wife went an complained about the big issue an asked to be changed to another room an the lady apologized and gave us a condo back at the other location that we’d previously stayed . When we walked in the room we was amazed to find this was the room I’d booked which was the two bedroom condo. An I remind you they had told me they don’t even have these rooms . Over all or first night was horrible and the following day we was trapped inside the room waiting for them to change it all day so our whole vacation was ruined for our kids which the whole vacation was set for their birthdays and never got what I’d truly booked until we was attacked by bugs ! The location is great , it’s in walking distance of everything. But the getting what you booked was way outa control. O wait when given the two bedroom condo we was told they would be a upgrade fee for it . Which to me the whole vacation booked was supposed to had been in this room in the first place ! I loved the condo and it’s location but if I ever book again . Before I leave check in I’ll make sure to get the room that I’ve booked. Its turned out to be the worst vacation I’d ever took . And that’s not even me talking about the supposed to be 2 hr presentation that I had to attend which really was kinda forced to stay there for 5 hours because they was trying to force the time shares on us ! An only thing that kept me from buying in to the time shares was the fact that they wouldn’t present us with a contract to read over unless we first wrote a check an signed the agreement first and then we’d be given our contract ! The district manager looked at my wife an asked her why she would want to see it that no one ever asks for it and he can’t even give us one until after we buy in to the company’s shares ! So capital vacation lost a sale over not offering a contract to read over before I give them my money to read over first !

A new company bought out this place. Check in & front desk was excellent throughout our 5 day stay. It appears the issues I read in reviews have been fixed. Our ice maker didn't work & I called front desk. Less than 10 minutes a large bag of ice was delivered. Will definitely stay again.

Our vacation already had a rocky start when we checked in they had us in the wrong room. We booked a king room and they had us in a queen which wouldn’t have been a problem had we not needed the extra room. On top of that the elevator didn’t work and the room definitely was not even cleaned. The furniture had burn holes and the fold out bed had food crumbs all in it. We finally got into a bigger room and thought everything was great from then on. We stayed for a whole week and kept getting bad bug bites. With us not being from around here (and maybe not wanting to think the worst) we just assumed it was mosquito bites. The morning we woke up to leave I just happened to look over at my sleeping one year old and saw a bug crawling on the blanket covering him. Turned on my flash light and to my surprise it was a bed bug. If I could add pictures to this review I would. We had family staying in a neighboring resort and we swam there so I can’t say anything about the pool but up until this morning we were pretty impressed with the resort. Lesson learned - be more cautious when staying in a hotel/resort.

Its mountain lodge aesthetic and courtyard firepit create a chic atmosphere. Situated close to downtown Gatlinburg, the hotel is within walking distance of popular attractions such as Ripley's Believe It Or Not and Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery. Great hotel, great location right downtown walking distance to everything. Love the balcony everywhere you look you see the mountains. Guest are charged for parking which I think should of been free for guest but I will definitely stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Gatlinburg.

The photos looked amazing, but the hot tub was missing stairs, so we had to jump in over a big turtle statue—very unsafe. The shower only had one door, so water went everywhere and made the floor super slippery. Also, we were charged extra parking taxes after our stay without warning. That said, the staff was wonderful—super kind and helpful. Just wish the facilities matched the service!

I am very disappointed in the room and service at this location. I booked a one night stay at this hotel and discovered bed bugs and hair under the mattress. We immediately gathered our bags and went to the front desk to leave. At this time we were asked for picture evidence and was apologized to. We were told a note will be left to be called about a refund. The next day I received a call from a general manager, Kenny Johnson, who requested photo evidence to be sent. I emailed the photo evidence. 5 days later I received a return phone call telling me that there was “dust and bugs, but not bed bugs” and that there will only be a 40% refund. I was told there is nothing more that will be done and he refused to send me to someone else to speak with until I requested again. This is terrible service considering the room was not very cheap and we didn’t get the service we paid for due to the bugs. Also, a couple of them were still moving when we moved the mattress. This will not allow me to post the video. We live in East TN and have not yet had this happen to us. We just expected better service than this. Entirely disappointing.

Made a reservation for a room with a king bed and pull out sofa. Bathroom layout was really nice but it didn't have the sleeper sofa. Courtyard had no other availability to accommodate what I had booked. Had to show the front desk staff the room to verify it didn't have the pull out as they had never been in the rooms at the hotel before. Offered me a room with two queens. Beds are definitely too small to accommodate a larger family of 3 and the bathroom was a huge downgrade. The pullout and bathroom is the reason I booked here. Unfortunately checking in at midnight you are kind of at their mercy. Staff was helpful but this is definitely a huge let down. Wanted to treat myself and my family to a decent room for a quick getaway. Make frequent trips to Gatlinburg but I doubt I will consider this location again.

Was provided an accessible room with a King size bed when we didn’t select to have an accessible room. We were provided a new room the next day with the same bed size & no price change. The fitness center was unusable because the heater was on full blast all days. No breakfast included & bistro is overpriced. Recommend going out for breakfast instead. Overall, the location was great and easy to walk to walk everywhere. Note: $15/day parking

We just left the Marriott Our first room had no A/C and the refrigerator did not work. They moved us to another room which the A/C was somewhat better but the refrigerator did not work either. Fortunately, I brought a small cooler for my insulin. Very disappointed in the stay. The staff was nice.

Good place overall, kept getting charged for restaurant items I didnt buy. What upset me was when I booked the hotel a few months ago the parking was listed as complimentary. However they installed a $15 per night charge a few weeks before my stay. As a titanium I was hoping that the charge would have been waived but the lady checking me in gave me a "sorry about your luck" smirk.

Such clean and nice rooms. Really good options of snacks and drink in the lobby. I mean this is a really nice hotel for such a cheap price. We will be staying here in the future.

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is a vast marine facility in Gatlinburg, open 365 days a year. It houses over 10,000 marine creatures, including sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, and penguins. The aquarium features interactive exhibits like the Discovery Center for hands-on experiences with animals. Visitors can also learn about the aquarium's Systems Control area that manages millions of gallons of saltwater. Additionally, it offers a glass-bottom boat ride experience.
My family and I took my son here so he could have some fun on our trip and he sure did here. He loved the selection of sea/ocean animals and the interactive games they had throughout the facility. We order tickets beforehand on TripAdvisor (we got them in a bundle) which saved us a good bit of money.
Savanna B — Google review
We have been to several major aquariums, and I have to admit that I was very tempted at first to rate this one as a 3 or lower, because it didn’t in anyway compare. It seemed to be only composed of small aquariums on the walls as we walked through. The contents of those aquariums were interesting and the video descriptions next to them were well done. However, when we were able to view the aquarium;s very large central tank with free swimming sharks, saw fish, rays, and other beautiful and interesting fish, I was impressed. On the lower level of the aquarium you can walk through a long glass tunnel under that that tank and get up close and personal with the very large sea life swimming over you. There were a few also some aquarium exhibits with sea life I had never seen before including one with what has to be some of the largest crabs on earth. These dwarfed king crabs with which we are all familiar. Young children seem to especially enjoy the aquarium. There is also a kids play area with a large multi level climbing and slide contraption that they especially seemed to enjoy. I guess that the $40 per adult was not overly expensive after all.
Rick G — Google review
Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies is an amazing spot for both kids and adults! It’s much bigger than you’d expect, with tons of exhibits to explore. One of the highlights is the moving conveyor tunnel, you’re surrounded by sharks, rays, and all kinds of sea life as you glide through. There are interactive displays, fun photo ops, and even a penguin walk parade that’s a must-see! The penguins are adorable and it’s a unique experience you won’t find at most aquariums. A great place to bring the family, unwind, and learn something new. Definitely worth the trip!
Sam — Google review
The glass bottom boat ride is a must! We had a good time, but for the price of admission we did expect some more sea animals. The shark lagoon area was our favorite; we went through a few times seeing something new each time. The parking garage behind the aquarium is the most accessible area for parking.
L C — Google review
The Ripleys aquarium is always nice to visit. It has a nice selection of species and feels unique with its design. My only 'gripe' is that I feel like nearly $50 for an adult ticket is a bit much for the size of the aquarium. The TN aquarium is much larger and it's only about $35. I still enjoy visiting, regardless though!
Renee R — Google review
Very good small(ish) aquarium. Definitely a must see for the kids and sea life enthusiasts on your trip! Fair warning, they are a bit pricey, but it's not horrible. They have a daily parade of penguins at 1:15pm as well. HIGHLY suggest though that you go early right when they open to avoid the crowds!
Alex H — Google review
Great experience for all ages in our group. Some crazy looking fish here, variety of sharks, turtles, some penguins, and many other sea creatures. Place was clean and had an amazing play area for kids and super cute fall decor when we were there.
Amanda B — Google review
From start to finish, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies delivered an amazing experience that had something for everyone. The underwater tunnel was a true highlight — there’s something magical about having sharks, rays, and sea turtles glide effortlessly above you while you walk through. Our kids were completely captivated by the mermaid show, which blended entertainment with an educational touch in a way that kept their attention from start to finish. Another standout was the penguin march — an adorable and unique moment you don’t want to miss. Watching them waddle by up close brought out the “wow” in kids and adults alike. The layout of the aquarium makes it easy to explore at your own pace, with plenty of interactive areas that keep little ones engaged while still being fascinating for grown-ups. Overall, this was a fantastic experience for our whole family. It’s the perfect blend of fun, education, and memorable moments — a must-visit if you’re in the Smokies.

Glenstone Lodge is a relaxed accommodation option in Gatlinburg, offering a variety of traditional rooms and two pools, one featuring a waterfall. The lodge provides diverse room options suitable for different budgets and group sizes, all with picturesque views of the Smoky Mountains National Park. Conveniently located near downtown Gatlinburg and just 0.4 miles from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance, it offers easy access to various attractions and activities.
Unfortunately, I had a less than ideal check-in experience due to the annual Corvette Convention hosted at Glenstone Lodge. However, after voicing my transgressions because we are up here to get married, management ensured that my experience was not ruined with unmatched customer service. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay! The lobby is beautiful, elegant, and welcoming. The indoor pool, breathtaking. Multi-level with a waterfall, deep pool, shallow/normal pool, and a hot tub. The outdoor pool, just as beautiful and the humongous gazebo with a plethora of picnic benches, behind the outdoor pool, is just perfect for taking in the scenery. It overlooks a beautiful creek. The geese even came to hang out in the parking lot with the Vette owners. Rooms are a bit smaller than anticipated and could use an update, but being so close to the main strip of Gatlinburg, we spent little time in the room anyway. Easy to walk back and forth. Clean, fresh linens on a large bed with cold AC. Thank you Glenstone Lodge for treating us with respect and ensuring a memorable stay. 🙏

Would not recommend! While this hotel is located within walking distance of the strip in Gatlinburg, it is old and the rooms are not up to par and smell like mildew. The bedding is thin and so old it’s pulling apart. The towels look and feel like they are leftover from the 70’s. The AC unit in the room is ancient - and is either on or off. No smart TV and the WiFi might as well be non-existent. Forget about streaming while you are there! It’s not an expensive place to stay, but you definitely get what you pay for. The name of it makes you think it’s a nicer place with the word “Lodge” in it. And, I will tell you those pictures online are using some creative photography. It’s a 1970’s hotel in need of updating. There are other more modern hotels around it….try one of those.

Heta at check-in was great-funny, sweet and lots of information about the area. Room was clean and spacious. Pool area was wonderful. Cafe food and coffee were delicious. Parking and trolley stop were very handy. Only slight cons were-no overhead inside light at the door and sliding door to patio was a little hard to open. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here 09/19-09/21. Great hotel super conveniently close to the Gatlinburg Convention Center. Charming mountain country decor. We were not crazy for their buffet style breakfast for $12. Rooms were very clean and had all one needed. Beds were not comfortable, I cannot sleep well unless it is a plush pillow top type of bed so their mattresses were too firm for me! Mid 50's here! Pool area is indoor and very pretty! One of the things I have to be most grateful for is the fact that the hotel guests staying during same time were as quiet as we were so we had no problems with noise hallways and we left two items in our hotel room and they are great coordinating shipping them to you or keeping it safe until one is able to pick them up which is what we did.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and it continues to be my go-to spot in Gatlinburg. The location couldn’t be better, tucked close enough to the main strip for convenience, but surrounded by just enough nature to feel peaceful and secluded. The amenities are excellent, especially the enclosed pool area, which has always been one of my favorite features. You can relax by the water and often spot local wildlife wandering nearby outside the window, adding a bit of Smoky Mountain charm to your stay. What I love most is how the service has remained consistently friendly and genuine over the years. It still has that same inviting, familiar vibe that made me fall in love with it the first time, but you can also tell they’ve made the upgrades and improvements needed to keep things comfortable. Overall, it’s unbeatable in Gatlinburg for the combination of atmosphere, comfort, and value. A classic that only gets better with time!
Dan M — Google review
The room was dated, peeling paint, rusty hinges, but comfortable and .9 mile walk into town. There is a free trolley, during off season starts at 10:30 but doesn’t get to hotel until after 11:00. The restaurant is decent but better options in town. The pictures on website and the actual hotel don’t look the same.

We stayed at the Glenstone for my husband’s birthday in July. It was wonderful. Our room was clean, check in was easy and all of the front desk staff are so nice. Housekeeping was great and also very nice. We loved the pool and how close everything is to the strip. It’s quiet at night and we were able to see a few bears in the back parking lot which was so cool. The lobby also has stuffed bears and shirts you can purchase and a portion of the proceeds go back to the parks. I loved that and bought a few. My only personal recommendation would be updated mattresses-I felt mine was a bit hard but it didn’t negatively affect our trip. We would definitely stay here again and plan to soon!

Very upset that we paid the money we did, for a room that we can't even open up our curtains in our room because if you do everyone walks by they will see you. Our room is right on a breezeway- walkway. Everyone is very load and yelling and running, so you will get no sleep plus at night the extremely bright lights are blasting in your windows. I can't believe they even put people in this room (327). You can hear the screaming from all the kids in the pool as it echos into your room. The workers laundry room is right across the breezeway so all day long you hear the carts rolling back and forth on the tile/cement flooring on the breezeway. There is no relaxing here or taking a nap. The rooms have nasty carpets amd the curtains in our room are broken even if we wanted to open them. The beds are clean and pretty comfortable so that was a plus. The lady checking us in was rude as well. I asked a question during check in and she told me "Im going to get to that- I promise" in a rude tone. This place will never get our business again. We come here several times a year and I highly recommend getting another hotel so you have a comfortable stay. The hallway leading into our room has rolled up carpet everywhere and wallpaper is coming off the wall walls always up. This seems like a 2 star hotel instead of a 3 star hotel.

Only had a couple of negatives (bathroom sink faucet was set back to far and could barely fit your hands under the water without it splashing all over the counter. Then the sauna was out of order & I was looking forward to using it. 😔 Plus only 1 elevator for the entire hotel.) other than that, it was great! Good breakfast included each morning. Pool was clean & nice.

I really like this hotel. The rooms are always exceptionally clean. The staff is always super nice, & it’s perfect walking distance to all the gatlinburg attractions. It’s at the edge of downtown so u don’t have to wait ages to get into it. Now…. The water pressure is 0/10. I have to use the tub faucet to wash my face because the sink barely drips out water. But! For a clean, quiet hotel with a cute view of the river- I’ll take a bad sink lol

Rooms looked very modern and clean inside and they all have small balconies overlooking the river with Adirondack-style chairs on them. The bathrooms are large and well equipped. There's a microwave and a mini fridge. The beds were very uncomfortable as were the pillows; we did not sleep well and are sore. Additionally the main road is right outside and there is no soundproofing for that. Parking is tough- there is a lower level of parking though. There's a small continental breakfast but if you are gluten free you will be eating powdered eggs and bacon and yogurt. It's about a 15/20 minute walk into the main part of town. It's nice to be off the super-busy section but traffic will be lined up and it can be hard to exit the property. We did see a bear on the street. There are no stairs, only the one elevator and a continual ramp that goes to all of the floors which is nice for rolling luggage.
Mary A — Google review
The reviews for this hotel are accurate. The pool is murky and the floor is sticky. Those are the negatives. It is a good location. Within walking distance of the main strip but a bit on the edge so that when you want to get away from the crowd and traffic you can. The view of the river is the best. Balcony is small but just enough for two people to relax on. I would recommend this hotel and we would stay here again.

Guests can indulge in complimentary breakfast each morning, followed by an evening wine and cheese reception, along with cookies and milk to enjoy before bedtime.
Loved my stay. Location is great because it's near main street but tucked away that you feel like you are in a secluded area. Keep an eye out for bears, they do walk around the property on occasion. Rooms are spacious and several options available. Yes, rooms are a bit dated and could use a touch up but I personally liked the dated look. My room had a balcony overseeing the creek which I loved especially in the evenings. Yes, bugs can get into your room, but that's always a possibility when you are near a forest. Traffic can be horrible during season, but you can walk to main street or just make a right turn since left turns seem impossible. Restaurants are nearby and Smoky Mountains are a short drive. Breakfast only served until 9AM and only really coffee, which is hot and freshly brewed. Aside from coffee, breakfast selection is just packaged pastries and granola bars so not healthiest but I took a couple granola bars for my hikes. Plenty of restaurants offering "flapjacks" nearby. Staff is kind and welcoming. There's a swing by creek, BBQ, pools and laundry area. As I mentioned there are several rooms available including rooms for larger parties and some that look like a small cabin. I had a lovely experience.

Spent a few days here staff is so friendly and go above and beyond. The location is great you can walk to town in minutes and avoid driving in the traffic. Took stars off for a few things. Now keeping in mind this was half the price of other places we didn’t mind it being semi out dated. The complaints we have are- balcony door didn’t lock there was to be a safety bar to lock it that we found hidden after the first night. That was kind of sketchy not being able to lock the balcony for a bit. And the cleanliness of it. Not sure what the brown marks on the wall in the bathroom were, along with dirt lining the base of walls. It could use a good scrub. The room did not smell musty surprisingly for being so close to water so they do keep up on mold and moisture control. I did take Lysol wipes over the hotel but overall for price and location I would go back. Side notes- breakfast is grab and go like granola bars, honey bun, and coffee. Water- in shower very hot, with red light warmer. Shower was very loud 😂😂 but we had a good laugh about that. This place had its own charm to it.
Brook R — Google review
The rooms weren't exactly clean though not terribly dirty either. There wasn't enough toilet paper or towels in the room as we had four people. The wallpaper is peeling off of the wall. The TVs audio is staticy but functional. The carpet on the walkways is full of moss. The telephones in the rooms, including dialing to the front desk, do not work at all. The spa room was not functional while here, the hot tub in the main pool area does not work properly, the waterfall is also not functional currently, the indoor pool was cold, the outdoor pool was heated better though. I understand that the building is old and it seems like they're doing some work but I'm not sure you should put a guest in the room with peeling wallpaper. There is a functional microwave and a mini fridge which is cold so that's a plus. My bedside lamp is broken you have to plug it and unplug it to turn it on and off as the switch is gone. The pillows are comfortable the beds are old and definitely spring mattresses but they are serviceable. They had prepackaged pastries and coffee while we were here as their breakfast area and stuff is all under construction I couldn't try any of it because I can't have milk and none of their creamer is completely dairy free the coffee itself isn't great but it's coffee. There are 3 ice and vending areas we've seen, however one is out of order. The air conditioning in the room works well. It's not too far from the main Gatlinburg stretch. Considering all the gatlin's birds been through in the past few years I'm trying to be lenient which is why I'm giving a three though I don't know that we would book here again.

Our TV only got a few channels. The breakfast is just a few pastries, and I wish it was a little more. Rooms could be painted again. But the fireplace in our room was very nice. Beds were comfortable. Outdoor pool was heated. And it was right near the stip so we could walk to a lot of things. The service was good too. The price was very fair! We will definitely stay here again!

Finally got to visit, and I enjoyed the stay. We got a room on the creek and it was the best part. First we got to experience the front desk lady at check in. We called her "Ole Red" She was informative but very blunt. She went over the rules/ pool times of property quickly with us. At the end we asked again the times of the pool and she said I've already told you, but it was on the rule paper she was giving us so we could find it there. The stay was great and really enjoyed the creek the most. Quick walk to everything! We appreciate the stay!

Location is good, east side of the strip, easy walk downtown. Service has always been pretty good here, if you need something they’re on it. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the rooms and the entire property has gone downhill. Woke up one morning and there was a dead roach in the middle of the kitchen. Sink in one of the bathrooms was slow draining so I moved the stopper up and down a few times and black chunks came floating out of the drain. Floors were fairly clean. Sliding glass door lock was broken but there is a safety bar, but I would not trust small kids around it. Balcony is nice but dirty and spider webs everywhere. We do like staying here but the property and rooms do need some TLC to get it into good shape. We do like the place and again the owner/operators are attentive. Just hope they do a makeover, soon. Oh and the TV’s suck, sorry, but the picture is horrible and half the channels don’t work or don’t have sound. Internet is decent but annoying because you have to keep re-logging in. Not sure why that is?
Chris W — Google review
This place is so so so disgusting. We decided to stay here because the river under the balconies is beautiful for $150 a night. But we got into the room and the bathtub was visibly clogged with hair, the floor wasn’t swept, there was a dirty coffee filter on the table and the balcony was absolutely infested with spider webs of varying age and nests of every insect in the region. The second room was better but still really gross. Plus we’re pretty sure the housekeepers still some of our luggage. IDK how this place hasn’t been closed down.
Victor C — Google review
I want to start by saying.... we have stayed here about 6 times and we dont even call anywhere else when coming in town and we tell everyone to stay here. Unfortunately this was probably our last stay. When I called for a room I was told they ONLY had a cabin available and it was DOUBLE what I normally pay per night. That's fine I really needed a room and the place is nice, staff friendly so I was ok with that. We get there and go to our room. To our surprise it was the TOTAL opposite of our normal. Now I know its the woods so spiders and such are to be expected however not in every single corner of every room. We had to sweep the poison ivy away from the porch just to go in and out of the room since I am HIGHLY allergic. There were other bugs in the room and it is in DESPERATE need of a complete clean. Spiderwebs, cobwebs, and thick dust all over and MOLD in the ac, also we had to go all over the property to find ice since they didnt tell us when we checked in that 2 of the 3 ice machines they specifically told us the location of were not working.. we went to the office and told the girl working and she seemed like she just wanted us to get out of the office and leave her alone. She offered to have someone come to our room and "knock down the Spiderwebs". We declined because at least we knew where the spiders were. I waited till shift change and went back in the office. The guy was nice and said he would pass it along. This morning when I checked out the lady working didnt ask how our stay was or anything. Not one time were we offered a different room (which there were PLENTY empty despite being told they were full), nor were we offered a discount or anything. My husband (who had double pneumonia recently and diagnosed with congestive heart failure) has been coughing and sneezing since about 2 hours after arriving and im hoping it has nothing to do with the dust and mold in the ac. I have also shown photos to the staff and have attached them here. We stay there often and dont live far. Sadly we were told that the owner doesnt care anymore and is wanting to sell it so it doesnt seem like anything will be done. Is very sad to think how hard his grandparents worked to have a legacy (since 1941) and he has just let it go and doesnt care. This hotel could be so cool and is in a perfect location but the owner doesnt care. As the owner of a landscaping company I understand running a business but it is sad. Employees that have been there over a year only seen the owner twice and looking at the property you can see that he doesnt care but not offering anything to very loyal customers the have a problem just drove the final nail in this properties coffin. I bet in the next year or 2 this place will be either torn down and replaced or remodeled by some big chain hotel. As a business owner I will say this: your customers are your livelyhood... they literally pay your bills. If they dont feel appreciated its over. Word of mouth can make you or break you and bad word of mouth is harder to stop being told then good. If you dont take care of your customers they will go somewhere that will take care of them. And they will pay more per night to stay there. so sad but I hope that the money from our stay goes for something good for the property because I work to hard to spend my money to be waisted on someone who doesnt care about their customers enough to offer any solution to keep them coming back.

The Hampton Inn Gatlinburg Historic Nature Trail is a well-located, affordable hotel with indoor pool and free breakfast. Rooms feature refrigerator and flat-screen TV.
This hotel was absolutely fantastic! The staff was super friendly and helpful. As soon as we stepped into our room, it smelled fresh and clean, like someone had just finished cleaning it. The unit was quiet, and everything in our room worked perfectly. We had a great time relaxing in the Jacuzzi. There were plenty of towels, and everything was just amazing. This is definitely a place we’ll be coming back to. I’m still planning to visit other places in Gatlinburg, but this hotel will definitely be a place we’ll stay in again.

We spent two nights recently. Not too happy with finding out while checking out that we were charged for parking. $30 total. I think the parking should be included since we paid for the rooms around $564. Total. We should've been told that at the start when booking the rooms 2 months prior. Also, the room we requested had 2 queen size beds. Glad we checked our beds before climbing in. We noticed 2 baby spiders in one bed. The other bed had a baby spider in the pillowcase. I also killed a small spider on the floor in a web at head of bed. We told front desk at checkout, plus I called and spoke with someone with customer service. They contacted hotel on our behalf and relayed to us while on hold, that the hotel wasn't going to do anything about both our complaints. So, next year we'll be staying at another reputable hotel. By the way, we stayed at this hotel in July 2024 with no problems.

The pros....We had a king room it was very nice, comfy, and clean. The cons.....The lady at the front desk was not very friendly, the food was not as good as it could have been, and they charge an extra fee for parking which we were not aware of until the day of check in. It also was a little further of a walk to the main strip than we thought. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but NOT on Labor Day weekend or any holiday for that matter.

Our stay at the Hampton Inn Historic Nature Trail in Gatlinburg, Tennessee was a pleasant experience. The staff was consistently warm and welcoming, and we appreciated the complimentary breakfast offered each morning. The hotel’s location was convenient — just about a ten-minute walk from the main strip — allowing easy access to shops and attractions while still offering a peaceful atmosphere. Our room was clean with comfortable beds, reliable hot water in the shower, and thoughtful in-room amenities that met all of our needs. Waking up to beautiful mountain views each morning was a highlight, along with the cheerful sounds of families enjoying the nearby pool. We also made good use of the on-site amenities, including the gym, indoor pool, and beautiful outdoor seating areas, which added to the overall positive experience. We would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Gatlinburg area.

Pros: nice location to downtown Gatlinberg, a little bit of a walk but there’s also the free trolley. Rooms were clean and airy, the breakfast was the typical Hampton fare (nothing special, but hot and free), and the front desk seemed helpful. Cons: this hotel had the thinnest doors and walls. Our room had a connecting door to the room next to us, and we could hear when they went to the bathroom, and even when their turned on the bathroom light switch, and when the dog across the hall was howling. I understand it’s not the hotel’s fault if people are loud, but next time we will go somewhere with better insulation.
Sarah E — Google review
Update: When we checked in they asked if we had a vehicle and gave us a placard to pit on our dash. They never mentioned a $15 parking fee would be added on our bill for each day. Talk about some fine print. Just be aware that charge for parking without telling you. The room was great, comfortable bed, lots of pillows and an ice cold A/C. I hate the barn door bathroom door that most hotels are using but that’s on me. Plenty of parking and easy to get in/out of. My only problem is the staff. The young lady checking people in (evening time) was telling some guests about the “colored” cop in town that likes to flirt with her. I wasn’t sure I heard correctly the first time but she did mention it more than once. Aside from a few more adult innuendos, when it was my turn to check in I was met with a snarky attitude. I think they can do a lot better with the training for the staff.

The staff is amazing! The rooms are amazing! The property is amazing! The breakfast is amazing! Hospitality is every bit of what it should be. Don’t waste another minute not staying here. We had 2 queen beds with sofa bed and balcony. AMAZING!

We were traveling with a family member who is confined to a wheelchair. The roll-in shower room was very nice and clean, however the bathroom was a bit tight to get her lift in, BUT the staff was absolutley wonderful. Specifically, Beth was very helpful and attentive to our needs. We will be back for sure!

The Appy Lodge is a great place to stay in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It has comfortable guest rooms and amenities such as an indoor pool and a seasonal outdoor pool with water slide.
This was the first time staying here. Celebrated our 5 year anniversary in Gatlinburg, as we were here 5 years ago for our honeymoon and stayed at Bearskin Lodge which has the same feel. It was nice and clean. We were happy our rooms were cleaned everyday! Sad the outdoor pool was down the first two days we were there, but it was fixed before we left. Enjoyed the hot tub inside. Having the trolley access was great, and a pass for parking down town was so convenient. Our stay was great and would recommend the hotel!
Lisa R — Google review
Nicely kept property! Cutest little lodge. Check in was a breeze. Very friendly, helpful staff! Room was clean! Nice outdoor pool, but too cool for us to use. Not even sure was open being early October. Would like to come back in the summer though for the kids, and use the pool and slide! Small Indoor pool was nice not too cold. Hot tub was great! Has a basic continental breakfast. But there is Flapjacks right next door for breakfast! We did walk over there one morning. It is decent walking distance to down town if you want to avoid from driving and trying to find a parking place which can sometimes be a real hassle in this area lol. Over all we had a wonderful stay, no complaints, and will be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Consistently Wonderful— Our Go-To Spot! We’ve stayed at The Appy Lodge multiple times over the past year, and it continues to impress us every time! The property is always clean and well-kept, with amazing facilities that make each visit enjoyable and stress-free. The location couldn’t be more convenient, especially with the trolley stop right in the parking lot. It makes exploring the area super easy. The pools are immaculate, and my kiddo absolutely loves the outdoor waterslide. The rooms are spotless, the accommodations are comfortable, and the staff is consistently kind and helpful. We also look forward to the continental breakfast each morning, which is always well-stocked and delicious. This has become our go-to place for quick Dollywood trips, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

The lodge is rustic, but keeped very clean. The rooms have a dehumidifier in them because of all the wood. Clean and NO wood smell. Our room was by the outside pool, but not alot of use because of the weather. The inside pool and hot tub were great. Not crowded at all. Basically we had them to ourselves. Outside there was two fire pits and plenty of chairs. Nice place, we'll definitely go back. One final thing, the breakfast is just as it says, continental.
Dale — Google review
Breakfast - Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches (biscuit), cereal, pancake maker, fruit, eggs and sausage. Overall a average breakfast that was good. Outside pool approximately 3 ft deep with a slide longer slide. Great for kids. Indoor pool was an average hotel pool for swimming and a nice hot whirlpool / hot tub. Rooms were great, beds were comfy. Shower was low flow. Not much for a mountain view, the trees near the hotel are covered in vines.
Loganik — Google review
Loved everything about our stay. The rooms were clean, I️ loved the theme. They even decorated my daughter’s bed for her birthday. The pool was a bit chaotic with so many big teenagers (my daughter is 8) so we went inside and the indoor pool was wonderful. She made several little friends while at the pool too. We will definitely stay here again!
Alexis W — Google review
This was the first time we stayed here, and we had a very good stay. The room was nice and clean, really liked the walk-in shower. The location is great, right on the parkway but the side exit will take you to a traffic light so left turns are not a problem. The Gatlinburg trolley makes a stop right in the parking lot. And though we were on the parkway and our room faced the parkway noise was not a problem.
Charles L — Google review
The Appy Lodge is awesome! The hotel itself is beautifully decorated to match the theme of a lodge and to tie it with the Appalachian Trail (each room is named after an area of the trail and there is AT decor all over). The front desk staff were always so helpful and kind to answer any questions we may have had. The check in process was smooth. My kids really enjoyed the out door pool/slide. The indoor pool was also fun. The location - perfect! Just outside of the "busy" main area, but also right before you leave Gatlinburg to head into Pigeon Forge. The city trolly (free) also has a stop right next to the hotel. The room we had was very comfortable, quiet, and spacious! The only downside to the hotel would be the elevator. There is only 1 and it is quite slow, but not a reason I wouldn't ever go back. Just be patient!

With its cozy rooms featuring private balconies and complimentary Wi-Fi, guests can unwind in comfort after exploring nearby attractions or indulging in local dining options.
Second time we have stayed here, very good location just a short walk off the main strip. Rooms are clean and comfy, we even gad a fireplace thus trip, we didn't fire it up because it was 90 degrees outside. Pool side has lounge chairs, regular chairs and tables with umbrellas, no life guard so you must pay attention to your children. Excellent place for families with pets. Love thus place

Best hotel location we have ever stayed at in Gaitlinburg! Maybe a 5 minute walk to the strip and not up a hill either way. Nice clean room with comfy beds and pillows. Always love having a balcony to sit on in the mornings and evenings! Guys in the office at check in were fast and informative about everything. Even saw a bear walking down the sidewalk while we sat at the pool one evening. We'll definitely be back!

Room was clean, the fireplace didn't work. The free breakfast was a joke. The pop tarts were outdated over a year. Slim choices. Staff was excellent. For The price it was worth the stay. We have a small dog and this was main reason we chose this place. Not much place for her to potty.

I have no complaints. The jetted tub was the point of our stay here & it was as promised. Room was clean. Had an easy check-in. Breakfast is just grab & go. Could be better. Good cable. Iron / ironing board / provide lotion & cheap bar soap (no shampoo / conditioner & no bubble bath) / Great AC in room 214 / No bugs / Quiet area / working pool. I would stay again

Love the friendly smiles we have gotten both times we stayed there. Love the location and the beds are very comfortable. The balcony is nice except you see your neighbor but that is not a deal breaker. I have read other reviews about it being old or pics misleading but it’s not brain surgery researching the place before you go. It goes without saying that people are very hard to please nowadays. Having said that, we are not hard to please and we don’t mind older buildings. I have stayed in more expensive hotels condos etc. and they have been dirty and loud so it happens (especially in Gatlinburg). Every business has an off day when it comes to customer service, cleanliness, policies or maintenance issues but so far I have always been treated kind during every interaction! We will be back. AH

Location was perfect, close to our favorite breakfast restaurant and our favorite pizza place! Also we could walk to all the shops in a few minutes! Beds were very comfortable! The lady at the front desk when we arrived was very friendly! Had a few loud people above us one night and into the morning but it was the weekend so we figured they were just having fun ! No problems at all!
Anna F — Google review
The location is great and walkable to the main strip, which was very convenient. The inconvenient part was having to walk to the strip to use the bathroom since ours wouldn't flush toilet paper. I was curious as to why the bathroom floor was wet at check in. Found out it was clearly from housekeeping plunging it before we got there. Let them know at the front desk, but it wasn't fixed. Went to get water from the vending machine and it was hot and flashing 83 f. I didn't go on vacation to plunge someone else's toilet. There are plenty of other places just as close to local attractions and I would recommend one of those over this place.

My 73 year old mother booked a room at this hotel through my Booking.com account; I travel alot and get some discounts through this site. My parents live off of social security and they don't travel a lot besides a yearly trip to Gatlinburg, TN or Florida every few years. They live in Waverly, TN. My mom booked a non-refundable room, which she didn't pay much attention to because she doesn't visit the site ever, and doesn't book a lot of hotel rooms. Mainly, she was excited to get out of the house for 4 or 5 days! My dad, who is 83, fainted and fell a day or two before the trip. He is ok now, but was nervous to travel because he didn't know what was going on with him and wasn't feeling great. He wanted to postpone the trip and go to the doctor. My mom contacted the hotel and I sent a message through Booking.com. We both explained the situation and got a terrible level of customer service from the hotel - absolutely no empathy. They just said "this is a non-refundable room" and left it at that... no "I'm sorry to hear this," no "I really wish I could help but..." Nothing. Simply, "this is anon-refundable room." and they denied our request for a free cancellation. The guy my mom talked to at Booking.com was very nice although he really couldn't do anything for us. The decision is made by the property. So, we decided to accept our fate and write it off as a lesson learned until we saw the cancellation fee... $669 - the entire costs to book the room. They kept ALL of my parents money. Not a cancellation fee of $295 or something like that - ALL. They kept ALL of my 83 year old, living off Social Security, father's money. Businesses (this one anyway) have lost all heart. My parents will get to go nowhere this year. They would not even reschedule the trip for my parents. This whole situation is just sad. Stay far away from this heartless, money hungry business. We explained everything and they did not care period.

Conference & Convention Centers
The Gatlinburg Convention Center is a large, modern facility located in central Gatlinburg. It is perfect for hosting work functions at the convention center, but its also a great option for travelers on vacation. The rooms are comfortable and offer all the amenities you need, including free WiFi and cable TV.
I attend an event here every year. The entire facility is well maintained and very clean. There are two floors to explore. There is an escalator or an elevator to access each floor. The parking in Gatlinburg is an issue though. There are paid parking lots nearby that cost between $15.00 to $20.00 per day.

Excellent convention center! I attend the annual Inter-church holiness convention here and the staff and facilities are always on point. I attended a banquet and the wait staff were all very polite and accommodating. Everything was clean and well kept. Had a great time singing and enjoying seeing friends again.

Took the wife to the craft show that was going on the week we were in town October 15th. & had several really cool vendors. She found alot of things she was interested in & I got to buy a sweet knife from a killer knife maker (no pun) 😂🔪 Parking across the street was $20 for all day & the access was close with elevators & escalators.

We visited for a square dance convention. The place is well maintained and clean. There was no problem with noise from one hall to another. The first day, they seemed to have trouble cooling the rooms, but that improved on the other days. Bathrooms are in good order, and they do have drinking fountains. It’s surrounded by restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Parking in nearby lots ranges from $10 to $20 per entry with cash or (if it’s working) credit card. Curiously, one parking lot was $15-$20 at one entrance and $10 at another, so you may want to drive around the block before parking.

Dining options are covered at Southern Comfort serving up comfort classics like smoked pork ribs and Texas chicken-fried steak.
We stayed as a couple and it was amazing. The units are beautiful and well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The amenities are great. We utilized the pools and hot tub. We went to the indoor water park on a cloudy and rainy day. It was so much fun even as an adult. We ate at Southern Comfort for dinner. The food was delicious. The units and parking lots are on slopes so it might be challenging for those with mobility issues. We highly recommend and will be going back again!

Jordan at the Southern Comfort!! We had an absolutely wonderful experience thanks to our amazing server, Jordan. From the moment we were seated, she went above and beyond to make our visit special. She greeted us with a genuine smile and immediately made us feel welcome. Jordan was attentive without ever hovering the perfect balance. Our drinks were always full, our food arrived right on time, and she checked in just when we needed her. She knew the menu inside and out, offering excellent recommendations that ended up being spot-on. What really stood out was her kindness and professionalism. Even when things got busy, she handled everything with calm confidence and a cheerful attitude. You could tell she truly cared about giving us the best experience possible. Jordan turned a regular dinner into something memorable. If every restaurant had someone like her, dining out would always be a joy. Thank you, Jordan — you’re exceptional!

I strongly recommend not booking here or purchasing a timeshare at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort. Our family has been timeshare owners here for years, and it’s honestly disappointing how far the quality and care have fallen, especially given how much owners pay to stay here. Our most recent visit was unacceptable from the start. We walked into a room that had clearly not been cleaned. There were over 50 stink bugs inside the unit, piled along the inside curtains, not outside where you’d expect them. On the balcony, we found two used cigars, another clear sign that the room had not been properly inspected or serviced. We also have an 11-month-old daughter, and when we let her play on the floor, her hands became filthy within minutes. The wipes we used to clean the floor turned completely black, and we found long strands of hair and general dirt everywhere. To make matters worse, our TV remote didn’t work, and when maintenance came to “fix” it, the employee barged into our room around 10 p.m., speaking loudly and waking our baby. The level of professionalism was shockingly low. We reported all of this to staff and supervisors during our stay, yet nothing was resolved and no reimbursement or meaningful follow-up was offered. It’s clear that ownership and customer satisfaction are not priorities here anymore. This experience has made us completely rethink our ownership with Westgate. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the frustration, stress, and disappointment we did. For the amount of money invested in a timeshare, you should expect care, cleanliness, and respect, unfortunately, none of that was delivered here and on top of that the last talk we had with a higher up there only response was “sorry we hope you come back”.

Westgate Smokey Mountain Oct 12-18 stay in building 7000. Attempted to check in at 4pm rooms not ready and they will text us when they come available. Entire lobby was full with people waiting for rooms. Had second floor room below a family with children all week. The lack of insulation between floors is terrible and not everyone can get the top floor. The garbage disposal was jammed, bathroom fan was cracked and made constant noise. The nightstand had two broken drawers. Kitchen had seven knives not one would slice a potato. Housekeeping brought us a paring knife as a replacement. The kitchen wasn’t stocked with anything except dish soap. No kitchen towels, pot holders or even trash bags. Yet our maintenance fees have increased 76% in the five years. With the two new cabins next to the 7000 building now open parking lot was always full and three vehicles without handicap authorization repeatedly parked in handicap spaces. No enforcement The new building 8000 was now open and I believe there are plans to build another 48 units in 2026 above the 8000 location. I must laugh at their annual newsletter with all the positive things being done. I’ve seen nothing but a decline in services and additional buildings when they can’t maintain existing facilities!

We went for a tour of the resort and they were so rude. They didn't fulfill their promise of a free three day vacation and a $150 gift card. We left empty handed. All due to some excuse about the persons responsible for setting up our tour set it up incorrectly. We were so disappointed because we canceled some plans so we could make time for the tour. It was such a waste of our time. They made zero effort to compensate us for their mistake. They made us feel unworthy and unwanted in their resort. It was truly embarrassing and demeaning. The girl who was checking us in for the tour was very nice and tried everything she could to correct the mistake made the the people who set up the tour but everyone else we came in contact with after her just made us feel like we didn't belong or that we were not the type of people they wanted at the resort. They quickly rushed us to the cashier and refunded our 40$ deposit. I tried to see if we could tour anyway because we both were genuinely interested in the beautiful resort but the answer was a quick NO. I asked if the mistake that was made could be corrected and again I got a very quick NO. Then she politely gestured to the door we came in from and told us sorry for the inconvenience and to have a nice day. It felt forced and what's worse was how it made us feel. I have never been so embarrassed. Do better Westgate your reputation is in jeopardy.

The hotel is in a great location, with a brief walk to downtown Gatlinburg. The room had everything we needed, including full kitchen and great blackout curtains and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed opening our door with the screen because we could hear the sound of the nearby streams. They could use larger, updated smart TVs for today's apps. The existing ones are tiny and don't have access to apps for our kids. The water park was very nice for a hotel one. But the air ventilation was poor so it smelled strongly of chlorine in there. Front desk folks couldn't have been nicer

The staff were very nice and helpful. The location is great at the entrance to the Smoky Mountains and Cade's Cove, and just outside of Pigeon Forge and all their activities. The rooms are not laid out well - the bedrooms are next to the hallways and front door. This means as people come and go, at all hours, you can hear the wheels rolling up and down the corridor, doors closing, and kids running around. It would have been better to have the family room on that side and the bedroom on the other side and the window from the bedroom looking out over the trees rather than open your window to the hallway and having everybody walk by look in. The room was fine with a gas fireplace, an equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a big jetted tub. The mattress was old and had indentations where everybody slept. Plus it was noisy being right next to the hallway and all. We like the area and it was a fun vacation however I would pick another location to stay if I could but being a member of the Holiday inn club this is my only option. Airport is best to request a room that is farthest away from the stairs and elevator so there's less foot traffic. Or see if there's a room where the bedroom is on the opposite side of the door.

Location, location, especially on vacation. You can't beat the location of this resort for exploring all of Gatlinburg's best attractions and restaurants. You can cover the whole strip on foot and a scenic drive and hike are right there as well. The property is fantastic. Modern amenities with classic mountain charm. Rooms are updated, well kept, and include a washer/dryer and fireplace. Indoor and outdoor pools as well. It was a great place to stay.

Every morning at 7am for multiple hours, there are carts that sound like Home Depot carts rolling up and down the outdoor concrete hallways above, below and right next to the bedrooms that are right next to the outdoor balconies. We mentioned this to the front desk multiple time and its always we will tell the manager, but its our cleaning people we hire. Be prepared to be woken up to the sound of thunder for 2 hours every morning. Stayed 21-26 Sep. Location is great, room is nice, but not happy being woken up with non stop racket every morning.

Our room had some mildew in the shower, and I would suggest the couch be steam cleaned. I also got charged $25 for the market pantry which we didn't use, and I did not get my money back. Other than that, beautiful place, nice, spacious room.

I bought a discount package for a room for 3 nights in Gatlinburg, rules were attend a 2 hour sales presentation and get $199 back and 10000 IHG points. We didn't stay at the resort, they put us in a sister hotel. BEWARE WHEN YOU GO DOWN TO SALES OFFICE FOR PRESENTATION YOU ARE LOCKED IN!!!! Only way to get out is if an employee swipes a card for you to get on elevator. My husband and I stayed for the 2 hours we were required for our discounted 3 nights, got our $199 cash and vouchers. Because we did not purchase a package no one walked us to the elevator. When I went back in to ask someone to open the elevator for us they all looked at each other like who was going to get stuck dealing with the diseased people. Just because I chose not to buy a package because I did not feel it was in my budget does not mean I have a disease. We have always loved staying at Holiday Inn on our travels but I may look elsewhere now.

Our rooms were spacious and clean. The pools were well maintained & the kids loved them. Waterpark was fun for them. The views were awesome! We all enjoyed the bird show! We will return.
Kathy M — Google review
Location is ideal, rooms are spacious and nice, pools are pretty decent, but the positives end there... Don't expect comfortable beds, think more of springs in your back and pillows made of egg cartons. Don't expect breakfast in the hotel or for them to provide you with anything necessary to make decent coffee. We had a great view on a very nice balcony and I really looked forward to waking up, sitting on that balcony with a coffee in the morning. No coffee or creamer in the room, went to the front desk, she sold me coffee but had no creamer to sell, said she could send creamer packets up to the room later. I asked why she couldn't just give me the creamer and she said not possible but told me I could walk to a store 2 blocks down. So that's what I did. Freaking store was closed, I'm not happy, just wanted coffee and a view when I woke up. On the way back I stopped in the hotel across the street, they had a coffee bar and Starbucks in the lobby, got a coffee and their front desk gave me a handful of creamer to take back to my hotel room. They were way more pleasant too. I probably should mention that I had to stay in a friend's room because after this vacation was booked and paid for by 2 separate families, they called me to tell me since I used a promotional deal I wasn't allowed to stay there at the same time as my friends. I was allowed to join them in their 2 bedroom accommodation, but I had to give up my separately booked room. The kids got kicked into the living room to live for the trip and two couples had the bedrooms. It wasn't ideal at all. Our room had an attached mother in law suit, basically a second room that was vacant the whole time, but they wouldn't give it to me. Not overly impressed with whoever booked me, the front desk people, or the lack of extras that came with the rooms. Unsure if it was my luck or how often they do this, but also while there they decided to run a fire drill and set off the alarm and kept it going until every room (over 800 rooms) was checked to make sure the alarm and strobe lights were working, so that was awesome too.

Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Brookside Lodge has been a beloved lodging spot for almost 90 years. The property offers a range of accommodations, including deluxe rooms with fireplaces and regular rooms, all featuring balconies overlooking either Roaring Fork Creek or the mountains. Guests can enjoy free breakfast in the spacious meeting room, which includes biscuits and gravy, yogurt, fruit, coffee, and tea.
My family and I stayed here for the last two days and it was the best experience on a vacation I've ever had. It was so peaceful staying by the river listening to the water. You can watch the bears cross the water from your room and the walkway is lit so you can see really well. If I could give ten stars I would. The rooms were rustic and beautiful. Close to town and right near the trolleys so easy access to all of the stores. They even have a pool that's very relaxing. We'll definitely be back as soon as we can.

Not even 1 star. I tried to love it because it looked really cute online. Upon arrival, I noticed a beautiful creek. But next came the disappointment. There were lots of stink bugs, the grout was black with thick layered dirt, and there was mold in the bathroom. The toilet paper hadn’t even been changed. The smell of burning wood was so thick in the room that my asthma began to flare, and they would not offer us a refund. We couldn’t stay because i was having a reaction to either the smoke or mold. We bought a different hotel. They did offer us a room without a fireplace, but not until after we had booked a different hotel. Just save yourself the trouble. Also, no cribs or pack and plays for babies.

Booked a standard double queen bed room for a mid-week get away with my girlfriend. Checked and went to our room. My girlfriend went into bathroom and there was BLACK MOLD spots on shower curtain. I went back to front desk and let them know about the black mold. They put us in a different room, and in the new room and there was MORE black mold in this room than the previous one. Went back to front desk to let them know. Asked for different room. Was informed that they are fully booked . And that they already accommodates us. True. But there was MORE BLACK MOLD in this room than previous one. Manager offered me $50 back. I asked for more, she said she could only give us $50. I know it takes weeks for black mold spots to appear. So the lack of cleanliness was VERY LACKING!!! I was extremely disappointed with urgency of cleaning, also with the hotel willing to refund more money for their lack of cleanliness. Black mold is a serious issue!! Regardless if I booked a standard or deluxe room, or how I booked the room(3rd party app, or direct) the cleanliness needs to highly improve.****** In response to your comment. You were not the 1 I checked out with. And I never said I love it and will be back. I took plenty of pictures of your so called cleanliness. Your head house keeper ONLY replaced the shower curtain and did not clean it until next day. Didnt want refund because of having to move rooms. It was because of the BLACK MOLD IN BOTH ROOMS. As I stated earlier, weather what room I booked or how I booked. Your rooms should NOT HAVE ANY BLACK MOLD AT ALL!! And your pictures misrepresent the real rooms

We will become regular guest on our vacations here. Everyone is super nice and we love the room. Seeing the bears walking (everyone in awhile is beautiful. This is their habitat not ours. Just enjoy the view of watching them for a minute and don't go near them and they will leave. They are beautiful. The pools, and the hot tub, the waterfall in the pool was really cool. We will be back!

This was the best place I have ever stayed the customer service was excellent. Shout out to Leann Justin and Jessica who took excellent care of us!! The room was clean and well stocked. The environment was great. I have rarely stayed at a place that the pictures are exactly what you get, but I was extremely impressed. The Nature around is beautiful The Brook outside is relaxing Watching the Bears wonder around was great. I 100% loved everything about this place!!! If anyone complains about this place they are just people that cant be satisfied.
Michelle M — Google review
The great out weighs the negative. This location is awesome, right out of the business, yet right down the street from the action. The staff have been amazing, helpful as well as all the guest. The bear here is awesome as well; we see him every day. The pool and hot tub were great. The right temp, always clean and relaxing with the waterfall into the pool. The rooms are huge, the bathtub is huge, the shower hot and water pressure just right. There are very nice pictures on the walls, it had a lot of nice touches and great concept. My husband and I enjoyed sitting by the river at night, the grounds appear to be updated, have swings, benches, fire pits and trollys to pick u up to go downtown. The experience, location, outside activities and friendliness gives this a 5 star for us. With that said, there are some areas that need improvement, up dating and cleaning. If u like camping you will like it here.

Staff is great and allowed me to check in early. We did not try the breakfast but they offer complimentary breakfast. We got to see a bear cub and walk to the strip. It's about a 1/2 mile. There is a trolley that stops right in front that you can take if you do not want to walk. The honeymoon suite the bathroom was upgraded and was a nice size room. My reason for 4 stars is the door that led to the balcony would get stuck, you had to really pull on it to get it to open. The carpet was vaccumed but could use a shampoo or be replaced. A few minor upgrades and this place really has the potential to be amazing.
Michelle F — Google review
We stayed in the two story bldg to the right side of this property. It definitely has NOT been updated recently. The location was nice but the room was old and dated. It had carpet on the floor and an old smell when you walked in. The free breakfast didn’t start until 8 which was too late if you wanted to head to the park to hike. Overall, I would look elsewhere. There are hotels and cabins for rent all over the place. I forgot to take photos.

Located in the heart of Gatlinburg, Clarion Pointe Downtown Gatlinburg is a budget-friendly hotel offering complimentary breakfast, parking, and Wi-Fi. The property features a seasonal outdoor pool and a 24-hour fitness center for guests to enjoy. Situated within walking distance of Anakeesta and Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, this 2-star hotel also provides easy access to attractions like SkyPark and Gatlinburg Space Needle.
Highly recommended! Their prices are very reasonable, and you get full access to all the hotel amenities, including the swimming pool. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, which made the stay even better. I also loved the yogurt with almond, cranberry, and granola – definitely a must-try!”

Stayed with my family for a 2 night 3 day venture. We were able to check in early which was nice. Front desk is very kind and serviceable. The lobby is very clean and updated. There is regular hotel breakfast included, so coffee, bagels, waffles those types of food. Now the room, at first very nice, comfortable beds and updated. Once you look closer you’ll see mold EVERYWHERE on the ceiling. We called to get changed but it seemed like it was an issue in the whole hotel, so there is that. The mold just comes from the ceiling because the tub was clean everything was very clean. Also, there is a problem with the drains a foul smell comes from it. We had to purchase bleach and continue pouring throughout our stay to make the stay manageable. The hotel room served its purpose overall. Very centric from downtown and we were only showering and sleeping for a while so we didn’t press that issue further but something NEEDS to be done with the mold.

I used Priceline to get the room. The desk agent greeted me. Checked me in quickly and waa proficient in his job duties. He was polite. The room was a little bigger than standard size. I got 2 queen beds, their standard room. It was clean but not much attention to detail. There is only a shower, no tub. My room did not have a bathmat, I ended up using a bath towel. The walls have paint missing. The location of this hotel is a BIG plus. I was in walking distance of food, activities and other essentials for my stay. I would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect, and the free breakfast was delicious! The variety was appreciated (yogurt bar was neat!). We would definitely stay here again even though the room had some damage to it. It was a quiet spot to land for the night and within walking distance to dinner and Ripley's Aquarium, plus the Village Shoppes.

So if your anything like me, your probably cruising possible hotels near Gatlinburg, surprised that you found a nice hotel right in Gatlinburg for a reasonable rate compared to all the other options close by. Now that I've booked and I'm sitting in one of these rooms, I understand why it was significantly less than other local options. This may be the price of a normal fairly nice room in a normal town, But this is Gatlinburg and this price is for a very low end budget stay here. It's very outdated and not a nice room at all, it's anything but luxury. I felt comfortable with it because there wasn't a single review mentioning bedbugs & that's normally my only requirement, but this has the look of exactly the type of place you'd find them once you walk in your room. Not sure if their here or not, I'll update the review if they are after ive slept here. In a normal town this is on par with your average 1970s 50$ room in a bad area families and normal people avoid. The photos listed make it look 10x nicer than it is. Parking is an all out nightmare it's almost impossible to get though here, and there was maybe 2 spots available in the whole place. If you can't find a spot out of the 2 or 3 available near the reception check in area at the front you'll have a 20 min walk down and back up the mountain to go check yourself in, and there's no nice big covered area by the front doors to park and check in like a normal hotel would have. Overall if your just looking for a cheap super low budget place to stay in Gatlinburg to be close to the strip maybe this is the place for you, but if you want even a shadow of a resemblance of getting a decent room in Gatlinburg this place will disappoint you. For this price you could stay in Pigeon Forge or Sevierville at a pretty nice new modern hotel. 0% charm at this hotel whatsoever. No bar soap in the rooms, and the shower water pressure is so poor it's almost a trickle.
Dakota C — Google review
The location is great at the end of the strip but far away from the noise. Anakeesta is the closest attraction with just a 4 minute walk. The breakfast is scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage differs from links to patties, yogurt, muffins and bagels. Breakfast is served from 7 am- 10 am. The room was a bit small but adequate for 4 people. They supply shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower and lotion and hand soap by the sink. Also a blow dryer and an iron. The room did smell like cigarettes but we brought our own Lysol to deodorize. The beds were clean and we asked the extra blankets as they are a bit thin. We could have also asked for more pillows. We spilled water and I cleaned it with a towel and the towel got very dirty but everything else looked clean. I do Recommend this place I saw a lot of places and read a lot of reviews and I do believe I picked the right place for our family because of the location and breakfast.
Liza R — Google review
Pleasantly surprised based on some other reviews! Clean/ updated room (#302). Very good breakfast with a lot of selections (cereal, waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels/toast, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Great location; walking distance to all of the downtown Gatlinburg attractions! Would definitely stay again! Only suggestion would be to add hooks in the bathroom to allow towels to dry.

This is by far the worst choice hotel we have experienced.. the first night we checked in the front desk clerk was very polite and nice. She did great. Our TV did not work so we called front desk and there was no maintenance. I can't sleep without it. She did not offer to move us or discount our room for the inconvenience which was rediculous for 100+ a night we expected better. The next day they were supposed to fix our TV and the picture was back but had no signal so no TV... again. Our room had a musty meldew smell and our pillows were slightly damp to the touch. Do better next time for other guests because we will not be back

The Hampton Inn Gatlinburg is a modern hotel offering stunning mountain views and an outdoor pool. Located just moments from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, it provides comfortable accommodations in a convenient location. Adjacent to the Ober Gatlinburg Tram, guests have easy access to a top-rated ski resort. The hotel's cozy rooms feature fireplaces and dark wood furnishings, making it an ideal retreat for couples and families seeking a break from city life.
Everything was great, from the time we checked in to our checkout day. Friendly and courteous staff We were always welcomed with a smile and a hello when walked through the lobby to enjoy the patio after a long day. Rooms were clean, beds were clean and comfortable. We had the best time and will be back again.

The location here was fantastic, being right on the strip. The staff was friendly and accommodating for my service animal and I. The breakfast was good. The accessible room, while nice, did not have nearly the accommodations needed for those with a disability. (No shower chair or removable shower head, everything normal height) My only complaint, aside from the accessibility of the room, was the ridiculous $25 a day parking fee.
Arayna R — Google review
The room AC leaked and we had water all over our bags. Unfortunately we didn't notice until we were leaving. Management said they seen nothing wrong so if you are sensitive to mold then I'd stay away. Also management did nothing to resolve the issue other than a simple text message. We live in a world that we expect a credit or some extra points...a text does nothing to help the situation.

Love staying at the Hampton on the Parkway in Gatlinburg because they have Creekside rooms (which cost more) and lots of great restaurants are walkable...like The Peddler. It's also very close to the park entrance. The rooms are a bit tight. Can feel crowded, but I love the Creekside private balconies. There are often ducks and geese playing in the creek.

This is best located hotel on the parkway in my opinion! Best hot tub! Best pool! They recently updated the property and it looks ok BUT they need to get new sheets and towels!! They are disgusting. They are dingy and grey from overuse and over washing. I’m to the point I bring my own linens when I come just because I love this location and the staff so much! Please Hampton, get new linens!
Stephanie H — Google review
Not up to Hampton standards I'm used to. Nice staff. Room was decent albeit small for a King size bed. Creek view is over rated. They just don't tell you about the street right next to the creek. Only one elevator, access is outside. No ice machine on 3rd floor.

The hotel seemed to be an older hotel; however, the rooms were very clean, and the location made it very easy to walk to the convention center. There is an outdoor pool and 1 elevator. They do offer breakfast and had several people tell me it was good. I would stay here again. I would not recommend staying here if you are looking for a great view outside your room window or looking for anything more than the basics.

Beware this location will charge you $15 per vehicle despite having ample amounts of parking spaces available. There’s no garage , no cover yet they feel the need to charge for parking. If a guest is staying issue them a complimentary parking pass. I get that you’re trying to cut back on non-guests parking on the property but taking it out on customers isn’t the solution Simple fix without losing customers

Such a gem of a place! I love the lights by the water with the fire pits, hammocks, and picnic tables! So magical! Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, and we had a darling fireplace in our room! The staff was so kind and friendly. We loved this place so much that we are already planning a trip back! The free breakfast was great too!

This was our second stay having been here in May. The location is perfect. You can easily walk into town or catch the trolley right across from the hotel. We loved enjoying cocktails down in the fire pit area along the river. We did bring our own collapsible table with us this trip as they don’t have tables on the balcony and we enjoy sitting on the balcony drinking our coffee and planning our day.

We recently stayed at the Gatlinburg River Inn, and overall, we really liked it. The location is excellent, within walking distance to all major attractions. The staff was amazing—especially Jerome and Nikki, who went above and beyond. They even left a thoughtful birthday note for our son. A few small issues: ripped shower curtains in both rooms, a bit of mold in one shower, and we recommend avoiding parking by the river—balconies above can lead to spills on your car. Easier pet access would also be helpful. We did notice some ongoing construction on the stairs. It would be safer if the area were properly blocked off—right now. There's nothing preventing kids or others from accidentally entering, which felt like a safety concern. Overall, the issues were minimal. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
Jenniffer R — Google review
Great location walking distance to attractions and restaurants. The view of the river from the balcony was priceless. I have never stayed anywhere like it! The rooms are decorated really nice. The fire pits and lights really added to relaxing after a day of sight seeing. Can't wait to stay again in the future.
Trina F — Google review
Highway noise is loud Wish the walls were a little better for soundproofing. The entire place just needs money, put into it to upgrade/upkeep for cleanliness and modernization. Nikki and Jerome were great though and pleasant , did what they could to accommodate stay to their ability. Elevator was down when we arrived, so that was a disappointment, having to carry over our luggage up and having no closet in the room was very frustrating.

We had a great stay !! We will definitely be back in the future !! The room was very nice. Look just like the pictures ! The free breakfast was great. If there was anything they could do is upgrade the door to the balcony! In our room the bottom of the door had about 1/2 gap in the bottom. We had to put a towel across the bottom to keep the stink bugs out !

You get what you pay for, and I mean that in a positive way here. I had just quit my job and wanted to spend the weekend with my dogs where I could hear water. Gatlinburg was easily less expensive than going to the beach. I didn't pay for, nor did I expect, the four seasons. But this absolutely met my needs. I was able to sleep with balcony door open and not worry about my safety. And that's ultimately all I was looking for.
Lori I — Google review
Great little spot! Budget-friendly and good accommodations! Absolutely loved the river view and the heat/cool exhaust fans in the bathroom! Only room for improvement is the tubs are quite slippery and beds are a little to hard, and also the hallway on the 4th floor smells a little like urine. But other than that, it was a great stay!❤️

Reagan Resorts Inn is a straightforward hotel with an outdoor pool and complimentary Wi-Fi and covered parking. Situated adjacent to the Gatlinburg Convention Center, it features separate pools for adults and kids. The rooms have been recently renovated, offering modern comfort. While some guests noted that the property is older, its convenient location right off the strip makes it a practical choice for those who want easy access to Gatlinburg's attractions.
Love the renovations made! Especially love the LED mirror in the bathroom and now want one for my house. Our stay was quiet and refreshing. Housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient. The bed was comfy too which was a plus! Very convenient location too. Would recommend booking here!

Wow, what a fantastic surprise! We were driving through and took a chance on the Reagan Inn without a booking and we're so glad we did! The recent remodel really shows. Everything felt fresh, and most importantly, **spotlessly clean**. It was such a comfortable and welcoming space. The staff were absolutely great! They were friendly and efficient. The shower pressure … PERFECTION! As someone with waist length long hair, I truly appreciate a shower that actually rinses everything out quickly and effectively. This was one of the best I've experienced in any hotel, hands down. So refreshing! Honestly, you can't beat the price for the quality and comfort you get here. It felt like incredible value. We were genuinely impressed with every aspect of our spontaneous stay. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the area, and we won't hesitate to book ahead! Highly recommend the Reagan Inn!

Everybody & everything was great, but the pool. The pool area not well mainteined. The pool had a lot of green mold in the areas where it is in the shade, leaves in the pool, pebbles here there & everywhere, stuff floating on the top of the water. I know it's the end of the season, but as long as the pool is open, it should be maintained for the guests. The cushions on the loungers are worn out also. The towels are very thin. In a couple of years we would like to come back here again. Hopefully, this area of the hotel will be up to the rest of the hotel standards.

Very few pictures look like the rooms! This place is NASTY! I wanted to leave as soon as we got here but my hubby told me to tough it out that they would not refund our money. They say it has been remodeled but it needs it again, their remodeling person took the easy way out on the painting (see pic). The bathroom has black mold, the grout in the tile looks like it’s never been cleaned as well as the floors and baseboards! If you want a clean place don’t stay here! The person that checked me in was nice and the location is in town, that’s the only reason their ratings are high.

Both the location and the service were incredible. The room stewardess was perfect, our needs were always met; probably the best I’ve ever had. Saw one tiny bug in the bathroom but that was it, and the microwave blew a circuit and the entire room lost power, and some towels were stained. Overall very happy despite the few hiccups, I will be staying here again for sure

Price was decent and right off the main strip in Gatlinburg. Typical hotel room, two queen beds, balcony, mini fridge, etc. The downsides were that it looked and smelled like it needed to be renovated in the hallways. Not dirty just old and kind of a lingering must type of smell from years gone by. And the pool had a little algae in it.. not enough to stop us from getting in it though lol.

We were there June 1st thru 4th.... First time staying here. We had room 211 and it was FANTASTIC! The shower 10/10 best water pressure ever !!! Beds were very comfy... This specific room didn't have a view but it did have a balcony, that is alright because we were out enjoying the smokies...The staff is very accommodating and the location is FABULOUS. Do not hesitate about staying here. We will definitely be back in July!!! Thank you Reagan for such wonderful accommodations ... Dodi & Dede

A little off the main strip, but we still were able to walk to the main strip in about 5 minutes, so not bad at all! But everything was top notch! Remember to ask for city view when checking in, it will give you a great view of the city & mountains. @DIESELANDMO

This Hotel was the very best! The smell of home cooked waffles, eggs, bacon and much much more invites you to wake up and get the day started right. The staff are always so helpful and they welcome you in with a smile. The rooms are cushy, comfy, and controlled with AC/heat units so the temp is just right 👍 👍 this Hotel gets 2 thumbs up and 5 stars from me. Don't forget to check out the super hot and cozy hot tub, pool, and work out in the gym. Thank you Fairfield inn!

I stayed here with my wife and our one-year-old son earlier this year while participating in the Mountain Man Memorial March, and I can honestly say it was an excellent experience from start to finish. We will definitely be returning the next time we come to Gatlinburg. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They treated our family with genuine warmth and respect, which immediately set the tone for a wonderful stay. Traveling with a little one can be stressful, but their kindness made everything so much easier. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and offered a beautiful view of the mountainside. Waking up to that scenery each morning was a treat. The complimentary breakfast was another highlight, it was convenient and especially helpful for us as parents since it saved us from the hassle of finding food early in the morning. It was perfect for feeding our son before heading out for the day. The location is also fantastic. It’s less than a mile walk to the main strip, which we found very manageable. Some reviews made it sound more difficult than it is, but in reality, it’s not bad at all. If you walk via Airport Road, the path is mostly flat and easy; however, Cherokee Orchard Road is uphill, but still doable if you’re up for a little exercise. On top of that, parking at the hotel was great, we never struggled to find a spot, even on a busy weekend. The property is also well-situated for exploring the nearby parks and attractions. I even took advantage of the fitness room a couple of times, and it was surprisingly well-equipped, with free weights, a cable machine, pull-up bar, and treadmills - everything you need for a solid workout. Overall, this hotel was a true gem. Between the friendly staff, clean rooms, convenient amenities, and unbeatable location, it exceeded our expectations in every way. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Gatlinburg.

Overall it was a decent stay, nothing exceptional, but the hotel was lacking in many aspects. Upon check in, the gentleman in the front desk was rude, We booked a king room but wasn't available so we ending having a 2 queens with a small chair, he does not have neither personality, nor hospitality and he didnt make any effort to help us in any way, he just rolled his eyes and told me "hey, I am giving you two beds, instead of one and this is all its available at the moment". Meaning you take it or leave it, time was late evening to start looking for a new place, his attitude leaves so much to say. Wifi was terrible, didn't work during our stay at all and the TV was frozen all the time. Breakfast was the usual eggs, bacon, muffins, bagels, waffles but no fruits and the oatmeal was hard basically a paste and was not refill it. Hotel charge for parking $16 a day, good things it is on-site. Good location, still within walking distance to the Strip but off the parkway enough to be able to avoid some of the traffic by taking back roads. Room was clean and bathroom spacious and with toiletries except for body lotion.

It was a great experience, yummy free breakfast in the morning, cozy rooms, warm jacuzzi, real nice fitness room, it is definitely the experience of a lifetime I’d recommend it! I wish I was still there! It’s definitely worth it & a real nice hotel to stay at it if you want comfy, cozy, very relaxing romantic place to stay at! Thank you to the staff and everyone at Fairfield Inn!

I stayed at both the Fairfield and the Courtyard in Gatlinburg, and the Fairfield was clearly the better option. Check-in was smooth, with bottled water and a choice of welcome benefits. The front desk host guy was very polite and helpful. The room and overall ambiance suited my taste much more than the Courtyard, and the free breakfast was a great added bonus. Highly recommend Fairfield if you're deciding between the two.

Nestled in the heart of Gatlinburg, Comfort Suites Gatlinburg Downtown-Convention Center offers a delightful retreat just under a kilometer from Ober Gatlinburg. This modern hotel boasts spacious accommodations perfect for families, featuring contemporary bathrooms, comfortable queen beds, and amenities like a fridge and microwave. Guests can enjoy complimentary WiFi and access to an indoor pool, although some have noted that it can be quite chlorinated.
My niece and I came for a week, and other than the super slow elevator, we had a great time. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is very friendly and welcoming and even the breakfast was good! Eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal yogurt and more. The pool is decent sized and on its own floor which is nice. It’s a 2 minute walk to the strip so very convenient. Would definitely recommend.

It takes just a few minutes to walk down to all the action in Gatlinburg from the Comfort Suites. We went at the busiest time of year, unbeknownst to us. The town was a madhouse and I will never again visit at that time of year - last weekend of October. I guess there were several events going on. We were happy to get a room and they had plenty of parking. The hotel room was very comfortable, roomy and clean. The place was packed. Breakfast was extremely busy. They didn’t replenish some of the offerings. It would be nice if they would’ve had at least oatmeal packets, hard boiled eggs and maybe some bagels. The only complaint about the room was the noise. The people next to us had kids that were screaming and yelling after midnight. it was as if they were in our room. The next night was fine though, it was quiet. It’s to be expected in such a busy place. I really appreciate how close it is to restaurants and shops, you will too when you don’t have to fight the traffic and find a parking spot!

Good hotel - newer hotel in the area. I like that its slightly off the main street but still convenient. Pros - Clean , safe and good staff, indoor pool. Cons - Most horrible coffee ever, Slowest elevator ever. Yes - can validate that the parking spots are tight but then its free and can be managed. Giving 4 stars just because of the coffee (yikes) and the elevator. Breakfast is okay --nothing to rave about. Bottom line - if you want a clean and safe hotel go for it. Don't expect anything else.

Modern hotel walking distance to Gatlinburg downtown/parkway My room was spacious clean quite with beautiful views from window. In it there was microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee machine. There is a comfortable seating area and desk. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom of good size. Wifi is free and fast. I measured download speed close to 100 mbs. The lobby and breakfast area as the whole hotel were very clean and modern. The free breakfast was however as expected with limited choice. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Parking is free.

The location of this hotel is great. Less then 10 minute walk to the main strip. The breakfast is terrible and the same everyday. Powdered eggs, biscuits, sausage, muffin and do it yourself waffles. The rooms DO NOT get cleaned everyday. The maximum they do is change the towels. We came back after a long day out and the beds weren't even made, let alone sheets changed. All the front desk could offer was clean sheets that we would have to change the beds ourselves with. The floors in the room and bathroom never get cleaned. It's pretty disgusting. For a short few day stay in which you're basically just going to to the hotel to sleep it's bearable, but anything beyond that then no way.

Good Hotel, Rooms are excellent, they are extremely spacious for a family of 4, have good and new modern bathrooms. They have a fridge, and a microwave, 2 solid queen beds and a very large tv with a variety of channels. The room also has a nice modern sleek look to it which is also appreciated. Pool was “underground” and was filled with chlorine so we did not decide to take a dip. Breakfast was mediocre, there was nothing wrong about the food but the selection was a bit small, and nothing special. Location a 10 minute hike to the pike way. Overall a good and cheap hotel for $98 made in 2024.

Our room was comfortable, clean, and very up to date. Plenty of room for the 3 of us that were staying in the room. The location is great within walking distance of everything downtown. The staff were friendly and available. We had a view of the Skywalk and the observation tower. We loved everything about our stay.

Nestled in the heart of Pigeon Forge, the Best Western Plaza Inn offers a delightful blend of comfort and convenience for travelers. Just a stone's throw from popular attractions like Dolly Parton's Stampede dinner theater and TopJump Trampoline & Extreme Arena, this informal hotel is perfect for families and adventure seekers alike. Guests can enjoy cozy accommodations with options that include stunning Smoky Mountain views, private balconies, or relaxing in an in-room spa bath.
We stayed here for 5 nights and had a two-bed with a private balcony. Our room was located in the back part, near the pool, where breakfast was served. The hotel is large. They offer a variety of rooms and feature three pools. We visited 2 of them, and they were both clean and friendly. 2 of the pools are open until midnight, and that is a plus. Most close so early that after you're out and about, you get back and can't take advantage of the pool. We had cleaning service and restocking of our room daily, if we did not want it, we just put up the sign. However, it's nice to have fresh towels, etc. Check-in and check-out were easy, and their breakfast was restocked. The hours are until 10 am, so it's easy to pick a time that suits everyone. When in the area again I will definitely stay here again.

Never stayed at a Best Western before.Didn't know what to expect room smells extremely moldy and mildewey. Bathtub will not drain. Laundry room is small with only one working washer and the soap bleach and softener's cabinet is broken as well. Pools are extremely cold hot tub and jacuzzi moldy. Especially the jacuzzi been really moldy and definitely needs to be shocked treated and probably power washed. The indoor pool is not much better. It also has mold around the edges. Our bathroom does not have an actual bathroom door and has a vanity area. And then you go in with the shower and the toilet and then close the door I don't know why there's not a privacy curtain up there. Staff was really great, though very pleasant breakfast was awesome. We thought we have not had any problems with the breakfast. This was our first trip to Tennessee. However I think I will look for somewhere else to stay next time.

This place was easy to book easy to check in. the room was very clean. it's right on the parkway. we were there for Jeep Invasion and we had Direct access to all the action. They have two pools and they also serve a continental breakfast. And the rooms were moderately priced.

After reading the reviews my best friend and I decided on BW Plaza Inn. When we decide to come to pigeon forge I looked and looked for a hotel that had 3 things we both wanted 1 a balcony 2 breakfast and 3 in door pool. And this hotel had all three plus more. I called the hotel to request a room on the top floor in the back by the back pool which we got. It is so quiet back here. The room was big and roomy and very clean!!! There were shampoo and conditioner and soap in the bathroom it had a refrigerator and a microwave. It had a 50 inch screen which we could see from both our beds. It also had a table and 2 chairs to eat on. I never not once saw any kinds of bugs at all. And yes the breakfast food is the same everyday but all of it was very good. We just ate different stuff everytime we went to breakfast. In my personal opinion I absolutely loved this hotel. Everybody was so nice even had a light bulb burn out in the bathroom I called the front desk and they sent the work to fix it ASAP. So when people complain about this hotel don't listen to them. This hotel is the best value place to stay. I don't think you will be disappointed at all. Thanks for reading my review. Have a blessed day 😊

We rented the suite that had the loft bedroom, and it was perfect for our family. We had 6 people, and a baby. There was plenty of room for everyone. It was also nice having 2 bathrooms. The breakfast had a nice selection, and the workers were all friendly and helpful.

The pools are absolutely amazing. The guest rooms are comfortable. If they plan on keeping their same breakfast menu you might wanna make plans to go someplace else for breakfast not good at all. Hotel staff always does an amazing job. The place always looks very clean and well maintained. I give it four stars because the breakfast is so bad but other than that it would’ve been five.

The room was clean. Breakfast was decent. Close to Dollywood and Smokey Mountain National Park. There were times when the main road got busy and entering and exiting the property was a little difficult.

Location was great, room was comfy and clean, jacuzzi was very clean and worked amazing, hotel staff were extremely friendly, price was very affordable in comparison to surrounding hotels, and the three pool options spread in different locations on the property were great. HIGHLY recommend staying here. My partner and I typically come to the area once or twice a year and this was our first visit to this hotel but will now be our go to from here on our!

Riverstone Resort & Spa is a luxurious retreat nestled near the Pigeon Forge Parkway, providing easy access to the town's attractions and entertainment. Just a short distance from Dollywood theme park, it offers an ideal location for thrill-seekers and those seeking Southern hospitality. The resort features warm condos and upscale cabins with golf course views, along with a spa, two pools, and a lazy river for relaxation.
Great 6-night stay! The room was clean and spacious for our family of four. Friendly staff. Loved the lazy river and pool—I liked the balcony with lounge chairs off the pool area. I enjoyed the morning lobby coffee. The gym was a nice size. Staff quickly resolved a TV issue, and overall it was quiet and relaxing. Location was great. Would stay again if ever back in the area.

I really loved this place. It feels very separate from the rest of the pigeon forge. The amenities are lovely and the service is great. I especially appreciated the washer/dryer in the unit. It's a great place to bring children with so many kid focused things. The small downsides were that there was no oven in the unit and there is no on site restaurant. Neither of which bothered me at all but might bother some. I would definitely stay again.
Ivy L — Google review
The Resort itself was very nice. All the staff and grounds were great. Our spa experience was perfect. A few minor drawbacks were the pillows and doors being slammed all hours of the night and very early morning. The other guests being rude had nothing to do with the resort itself. Great convenient location.
Stacy W — Google review
The property sits on a main road so lots of traffic but for the most part we did not hear that from our room. The balcony overlooked the golf course so was relaxing. The spa services were wonderful and staff was very courteous. The room was clean outside of a minor spot of dust here and there. I hardly heard my neighbors. No smoking allowed in rooms so my friend with allergies didn't have issues. It's pretty central to most everything. I loved our stay.

10/10 across the board! I just came back home after treating myself to a solo trip here at Riverstone. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The location is unmatched, and right in the center of everything, the lazy river is so quaint and perfect, the rooms are basically many apartments, with a full service kitchen balconies that overlook the river and immaculately clean. But best of all I think is their spa. I booked for services there because I was so pleased with the service. The first time I went on the trip. Everyone is so kind, Relaxing, and it is run very well. I cannot wait to come back here. If you’re thinking on staying here either as a solar trip or with your family, it’s perfect for both. Do not hesitate to book this place.!

Enjoyed our 3-night stay at this resort with our daughter’s family (total 4 adults/2 small children). Great location near DollyWood attractions and golf course; terrific accommodations for the location/price. Two-bedroom condo was well-appointed and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Check-in and check-out was easy, and staff was very pleasant. Super spacious with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a front screened-in patio (what a neat feature!) and a back patio that stretched from living room to Master bedroom! Beds were extremely comfortable, although I do wish that the pillows had been a little less “dense”. Bathrooms were super clean with ample towels. Even towels for the pool were right there in the room. Condo had apartment-sized laundry equipment, vacuum cleaner (to clean up after the toddlers), iron & board, blow dryer…all the “things”. Fast elevator to upper floors, and common places (hallways, sidewalks, parking lot, garage, all clean and tidy. We did not have time to use the pool or lazy river (sigh!). We will absolutely return to this resort!

I am a local and just had my first experience at their spa...it will not be my last!!! The service here is amazing. The ladies at the front were so kind and welcoming. Loved the wraps and robes the spa provides. I took advantage of using the sauna before my massage. Jessie was so friendly and gave me an incredible massage. Do yourself a favor and book one of their treatments!

The Greystone Lodge On The River is a well-located lodging option in downtown Gatlinburg, offering convenient access to various attractions and trolleys. The lodge itself provides more than just a place to stay, with amenities such as an outdoor pool featuring a waterslide, a 24-hour fitness center, and private balconies with views of the Little Pigeon River. Additionally, guests can enjoy free breakfast and appreciate the clean and efficient rooms with great river views.
Greystone Lodge didn't disappoint! Somewhat historical place since it's been around awhile. Staff was welcoming and professional. Our room was in bldg 5, and we had a 5th floor spot with a balcony overlooking the beautiful, gurgling river. Yes, the place is on the older side, but they've done a great job with maintenance and upkeep. The room smelled fresh and was very clean. The included breakfast was sparse but filling; got the day started anyway. The location is great! You can walk to tons of places nearby, so traffic doesn't interfere with your plans. When they advise to watch for bear, head the warnings! We saw several bear in and around the location, but they didn't seem to mind us as long as we kept our distance.

Great access to rooms from an underground garage. Rooms were clean and spacious but very dark. Lots of space and a beautiful large very comfy bed. The linen was beautiful quality. Booked a King Executive Deluxe room overlooking the river expecting it to be peaceful and quiet but the music from another nearby hotel made it impossible to relax/sleep untill late at night as it could be heard with TV on and patio doors shut tight from morning till late night. It was neither peaceful or relaxing imo. Although we did see a bear climb the bank only 10 ft from the balcony. Breakfast was continental? Not a bad selection of high sugar cereal. Bread, fruit bread, bagels, fruit juices, coffee, delicious scrambled egg, yogurt and fruits. Enough to fill up on at the start of the day. Location is great if you're able to walk 30 mins distance as most places are accessible without taking the car out. The staff we met were pleasant, professional and very helpful.

Our first time staying at this hotel. It's kept very nicely. It doesn't matter which building you're in it smells so clean! The only reason I didn't give it a 5star is because they need to work on their sidewalk to the 3rd building. It's very uneven and can be difficult if you're in a hurry. The rooms were a nice size. The coffeemaker is not in the bathroom. That's a must for me. Free breakfast. Very clean. Service was awesome.

A decent place in a great location. You're pretty much able to walk anywhere. Just be aware of your surroundings. Our first day there we had a very large black bear come up to our patio while we were outside. A little scary. Having said that I would recommend getting an upper level room if you plan on relaxing on the balcony any. We did have some minor issues with the room but overall I would stay here again. Friendly staff, service and a great location.

Stayed for 2 days on a short Gatlinburg get away From Wed. Sept 24-Fri Sept 26 2025. Normally stay in Chain hotels but decided this time to stay in a family owned one. Picked Greystone by their google reviews. Older hotel but well maintained. Great location. Had balcony views. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. What's not to like. Would stay again.

What a great location downtown Gatlinburg, with the aquarium next door. It was nice to leave our car in their parking lot while walking the strip, especially since Gatlinburg charges $20 for parking. All of the rooms have balconies, but you are not allowed to smoke on them. Greystone does offer a decent free breakfast too. There is a beautiful area to sit outside around a fire pit and they have a heated pool with a tunnel slide. We received great service and would not hesitate to stay with them again!
Peggy G — Google review
The Greystone was the host accommodations for our family reunion this year. It was me and 4 grandchildren. I literally made my reservation the day before check in, and had no problem. Once we checked in, we did not have to move the car because the lodge is located in the middle of the Gatlinburg strip. Our room was just steps away from the (free) trolley stop. With the exception of sausage gravy, the free breakfast did not have any meat, but it was sufficient for not having to rush to get something to eat. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The kids loved the pool, which was open until 11.00. I have already recommended The Greystone Lodge on the River to friends 🧡

Rooms are shabby , noisy and fairly dirty . Our tv didn't work and when the maintenance guy had to come to our room he was very much not happy about it and wanted us to know it . We had a 3rd story room with a balcony overlooking the river which was ok but again , very dirty . The stairwells are atrocious! I honestly don't think they have been cleaned in years , thick spider webs , etc . My husband killed 2 salamanders in the bathroom , fairly big ones . You also get all the noise from the strip as well as , ( in our case ) , the very noisy couple with a spoiled child who thought it would be great fun to throw and bounce a ball against the floor and walls at midnight to 2 a.m. both nights we were there . All together , because I'm feeling generous I will give this place 2 stars with a firm caveat of never again added in . Was most assuredly NOT worth the $200 bucks plus , a night .

Nestled in downtown Gatlinburg, just a stone's throw away from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Downtown Gatlinburg Parkway offers a relaxed retreat with modern amenities. The hotel features simple rooms and suites equipped with microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee-makers. Guests can enjoy two pools and complimentary breakfast during their stay.
The first room we got the AC was ridiculously loud and it didn't blow cold air. So because it was so late in the night, when we got there maintenance was obviously not there. So we went and asked the receptionist to switch rooms, which she did. Both of the rooms were super clean, had a very fresh smell. The beds have clean sheets, clean towels, the water pressure is pretty good. Toilet flushes. All the light switches worked. WiFi was fast. Fridges are small. Mircowaves work. (We didn't go to the pool. It is inside though & the hours are good for when they are open). The breakfast was pretty good, nothing too fancy.. just bagels, muffins, juice, coffee, tea, milk, pre made pancakes. The location is awesome, especially if you want to be right off of the Parkway in Gatlinburg. Only thing to watch out for is the bears. Which we did see on our first night when we arrived.

If you can find some where else to stay I would recommend to do so. We stayed in room 116. The hallway reeks of weed and you can smell it in the room. At first glance the room looks nice, but the TV remote doesn't function well. We couldn't change the channels. Both the toilet and the shower wouldn't drain. We had to wait for over an hour for maintenance to show up because he was the only worker for multiple locations. Both the front desk worker and the maintenance worker were friendly but the facility and ownership are the problem. The location is the only redeeming quality. The breakfast is trash. The facility is old and needs major renovations. The convenience of its location is the only thing keeping it open.

The rooms was great the bed covers and pillows even better ! ( we had an excellent night sleep every night) If you needed something great service if you didn't you never seen them. The location was impeccable. The breakfast was more continental so we had eaten else where, which was fine by us. We will definitely be back next month! The price was unbeatable.

The location is very good, literally on the main avenue, a few minutes from all the attractions. I would only say that the hotel needs a little more cleanliness in the common areas. The room was fine, the beds were comfortable. The breakfast included in the reservation is not what I imagined, but for the price it is fine. Just so anyone who reads about the breakfast knows that it is just like frozen pancakes that you can heat up, packaged yogurt, coffee from a vending machine, and cereal. It is not freshly made food. But overall the hotel is fine.

This hotel was located right on the main strip in gatlinburg. While it is at the end of it, it's still within walking distance of all the things you'd want to see! We stayed 3 nights and walked that strip every night! The service was great! They send you a link to check in online before you arrive, saving time. And the front desk employee was really helpful. He asked us if we needed anything help, if we needed directions and gave us all the information we'd need on proper trash disposal and bears in the area! The room was really nice! It was really clean, had ample plug ins for electronics, all the lights were working and it had awesome air conditioning! The bed was actually comfortable!! (You all know how hotel beds are! They are usually hard as bricks!) The little balcony was cute, it had two chairs for me and my husband to sit out and "people watch", as it faced the strip, so we got to see all the traffic coming and going. Overall I give this place a 9/10! I would definitely recommend and I would definitely stay here again!
Kiley J — Google review
The toilet didn't work. The faucet barely worked. Shower pressure was terrible and the hot and cold labels were incorrect. The indoor pool was closed due to it "being too cold" the water. Not the weather. The outdoor pool was disgusting and was right outside our window. The window didn't close all the way so we didn't feel safe leaving anything in our room. None of the TV channels worked. I'm not complaining but we could only watch cartoons. Staff was rude. Construction workers worked all night, disturbing my sleep. I do not recommend staying here if you want a decent trip.
BayLeah C — Google review
Do NOT stay here. I cannot believe this place is open still. The rooms weren't TERRIBLE dirty, but the hotel is BADLY run down, all the housekeeping doors have had the handles broken off, dirty halls, and the elevator is SCARY! When my autistic son was in the tub the shower ROD, the entire rod fell out of the wall slots and on his head, the hotel workers acted like it was no big deal. The pool areas is a JOKE. Don't waste your money here.

No hot water, room smelled like mildew and the bathroom has mold in it. We had to get our keys “reactivated” EVERY single time we wanted back in our room! Last time we needed in our room the hotel staff were no where to be found, a maintenance guy had to let us in our room. We ended up leaving early from our vacation!

The front desk lady was so sweet—great customer service! She even let us check in early, which was really appreciated. The location is super convenient—just 3 minutes from the strip. Even better, there’s a free trolley that takes you right to the downtown area, so we just parked the car and hopped on. The area itself felt a little sketchy at first, but we had no issues at all. We were traveling with two dogs, and after calling every single hotel on the downtown Gatlinburg strip, Motel 6 was the only one that allowed pets. That alone was a huge win for us. As for the hotel itself, honestly, most of the hotels on the strip looked pretty run-down, even the ones charging $100–$200 a night. The outside of Motel 6 isn’t anything fancy, but the inside was newly renovated, clean, and comfortable. No complaints at all once we were inside. If you’re just passing through and need a pet-friendly place within walking distance (or a free trolley ride) to the strip, this is a solid choice. We felt safe and comfortable during our stay.

We stayed here because we travel with our dogs. I scoff at paying exorbitant fees for our dogs to travel with us when my dogs are cleaner than most humans, so the no fee part is a big draw. The good parts: The location is great. The trolley literally stops at the edge of the parking lot. We felt very safe and we even spotted a bear 3 mornings on his daily dumpster diving rounds. Now the bad: The rooms are not the cleanest. We didn't feel comfortable walking bare foot in the room. When I showered, I used the towels under my feet until I got dressed and the towels were nasty from me scooting across the floors. There was definitely a smell. I don't know if people let their dogs pee on doors as they walk by or what but that was the smell I got. The beds were pretty uncomfortable and after a few days I think we were a bit more tired than usual because of them. I am not saying I wouldn't stay here again, but if I did I would bring my own linens, something to clean the floors with, and some air freshners.

The Service is great and the employees are very nice. I know we have a room by the woods but we shouldn't have 3 big ass spiders in are room the 1st day and when we called dor bug spray they never came or called back to say anything. Then when we go to bed the bed had little spiders or ticks(not sure which honestly). Then this morning I wake up to a big centipede nect to my head and then it runs under the bed. I don't expect great accommodation but don't don't expect to have insects every day or dam near every day of are stay.

This is not a 5 star resort, but I still enjoyed our stay!! The front desk people, all of them, were so friendly and helpful!! Housekeeping is non existent, but I know how to clean up after myself. The pets staying free is a huge plus!! I stayed in room 118 and every night a mama bear and her 2 cubs came to visit the dumpster right in front of the room. Lock your cars, do not leave any kind of food in your car, or she will get in! Also, don’t leave your doors open if you’re walking out to your car real quick. The bears were literally knocking/scratching on our door to get in. I think they smelled the cats and all the foods lol if luxury if your thing, this isn’t the right place, but if a clean, comfortable friendly environment close to everything without all the foofoo is ok, this place is great. I will stay here again the next time I visit for sure. But maybe bring your own pillow, they are not comfy lol The only negative thing I have to say is they advertised breakfast. There is zero breakfast. Not even a granola bar, but there is coffee and tree tea. The rooms have refrigerators and microwaves though so that was helpful.

Perfect spot. Off the main road, but still could walk to and from the room. Quiet, and best part was the dog stayed FREE!!! Older motel, rooms were clean and comfortable. No complaints!!!

Horrible customer service. Our original reservation was cancelled even after I called and talked to them to say we were delayed and would arrive the following night. They said ok, then cancelled our reservation and charged us a day, and said we were a no-show. We stayed for a week and could never get the room cleaned. No clean sheets for a week. Had to beg for towels when there was only 1 towel in the room. The door didn't lock properly. The handle was broken. Watch out for the Bears.

Howard Johnson by Wyndham Downtown Gatlinburg is a charming and budget-friendly hotel that offers stunning mountain views, making it an ideal retreat for travelers. Guests appreciate the convenience of its location, just a short stroll from the bustling Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg, allowing easy access to local attractions while still providing a peaceful atmosphere away from the noise. The hotel features comfortable rooms with recent renovations, including spacious accommodations equipped with two queen beds.
I was very pleased with this hotel. It has a great location — just a 5–10 minute walk from the busy city center with shops, attractions, and restaurants. The hotel itself is set back from the main area, so it was quiet at night. The room was cleaned daily. There is a pool on the property. Excellent value for the price. I didn’t experience any discomfort during my stay. Yes, I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Room was clean. Location to downtown was super convenient. We walked everywhere. Staff was pleasant, always saying good morning. I was in town a day earlier than my original reservation and they were able to accommodate the extra night, able to stay in same room. Check in and check out were super easy. Only recommendation is for people to be alert because we had a few bears on site passing through.

We greatly enjoyed our stay! You can tell the hotel is a little older but they are keeping it fresh and clean. Comfy rooms, comfy bed, nice clean bathroom. The kids loved the pool and slide, even though the water was icy cold, and we all enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit at night. Plus the location couldn't be better! It was very close to the Village shops but tucked quietly off the main road. The staff was very friendly, and the grab and go breakfast was a nice little brunch treat. We'd be happy to stay here again!

Absolutely perfect stay! Great location walking distance from anakeesta, the aquarium and downtown. Hotels also right on the trolley line! Nice pools and a fire pit! We will definitely be staying here again when we come back. Our only complaint is that the floors made our feet black so we wore shoes or slippers while inside. Other than that great rooms and stay!

My boyfriend and I stayed here due to booking last minute. It seemed decent and perfect location however… When we got to our room, noticed no hooks for towels anywhere. All have been ripped off the wall, water was freezing. Was told to let in run.. we did for almost a half hour and nothing.. cold water the entire stay. Then it looked like pile on the headboard and no heavy sheets what so ever if you’re cold. We brought this to the managers attention and they offered us 40% off the first night and offered to refund the remaining nights but of course, everything was sold out so we had to stay… No other rooms either to switch too.. At the end took 10% off the whole stay instead still leading to more than $740 for a stay from Thursday to Sunday with freezing cold water the entire stay. Bed is also very uncomfortable and be warned if you use the hair dryers that is provided. I plugged it in and it made a loud noise l, shot off something and suddenly I smelt burned hair.. the hair dryer was broken but didn’t find that out until burning a piece of my hair off… Just and unfortunate stay and management should have done more. The price for what you got was not worth it.

Wasn't what was expected by the pictures, the place is built kind of backward and no signage directing you to rooms if you park in the front parking lot which is the rear of the building, the small parking area in the rear is where you can see the room numbers. There is no breakfast area as the pictures show and no breakfast unless you consider a muffin with coffee or juice to go! That’s not what I paid for !!! Room was to be two queen beds, I guess motel queen size and standard queen bed size are different cause they were more like full size. Next I'll stay else where !
Mike A — Google review
Great rooms and location. However, the automatic balcony lights are way too bright at night and you can't turn them off. Also, the balconies on the second floor have parking lot lights directly pointing at them. You'd have to wear sunglasses to enjoy sitting out there after the sun goes down. Very disappointing.

The location is great! Very accessible to downtown gatlinburg. Walking distance to everything. No parking fees. We always stay here for our short trips. Very likely to see a bear 🐻 Rooms are basic but have everything you need. Clean rooms.

This modern hotel boasts an array of amenities designed to enhance your stay, including a refreshing indoor pool and soothing hot tub. Guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi, ensuring you start each day off right.
We have stayed here 2 years in a row and they never disappoint. Staff are so friendly. Almost like family. They joked around with us alot and we enjoyed it. They complimented my outfits. They even got us the exact same room this year we had last year. Breakfast is great. Pool is good. Cleanliness is superb. Rates are good. I love the quietness and easily accessible to the main road. There is no complaints. I Ike the changes this year with the makeup rag and makeup remover and permanent large bottles of body gel shampoo conditioner and hand wash. Will be back next year and to hopefully the same room.
Courtney H — Google review
I have to say the staff is super friendly, but that doesn’t make up how terrible their rooms are. I had to switch rooms due to ants crawling on the pillows and bed, then we were taken to another room that smelled absolutely like mold, the third room smelled better, but it was an accessible room with no tub, no shower curb either, so the entire bathroom is wet after every shower, the most terrible part is there’s no vent at all! The moisture from the shower was completely trapped in the room, after first night, we came back to a moist room with damp bed, pillows, comforter. The staff was really nice but she was the only one working, if during a certain events they’re going to raise the price, at least hire more staff to accommodate the crowd. I should’ve read the 1-star reviews before booking. Never coming back!

What a beautiful time at Pigeon Forge the hotel is a little dated and furniture is a little worn for the price but the service was top notch. The free breakfast was a great spread with a wonderful kitchen lady. Many hot things to choice from other then waffles we will come back again just not during car show week. Don't get me wrong we enjoyed the cars the traffic not so much

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Pet-Friendly Stay in Pigeon Forge! We had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! Everything was spotless — from the lobby to our room — and it truly felt like a home away from home. The free breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and we loved that there was complimentary coffee and hot chocolate available all day long. The indoor pool being open 24/7 was such a great bonus, especially after a day of exploring. What really made this place special, though, was how pet-friendly it was. There’s a beautiful trail right behind the hotel that follows a peaceful little river stream — perfect for morning or evening walks with our dog. The location couldn’t be better, either. We were able to walk to tons of shops, restaurants, and fun attractions nearby. We’ll definitely be staying here again next time we visit Pigeon Forge!

I was so excited to finally find a hotel that allowed dogs. Since I have no family or friends to care for mine. I also lost a child, and haven’t been on a vacation or out of my house since 2018. I was struggling with depression and my husband wanted to take me on a nice 3 day getaway here. Knowing we could bring pets, we thought it would make this an easy and great experience. Not even 1 hour in arriving and just walking down to get our food, they called us to come back because our dog was barking and they were receiving a noise complaint. I’m on the bottom floor and there’s only a couple of rooms near me. I hear babies crying at night, dogs barking as well and I never complained. Because I understand that I’m at a pet friendly hotel and dogs are going to bark. But, you have those kind of people that have to make everyone else’s lives miserable, if they aren’t completely comfortable at all times. I literally could not enjoy my time here. They say pet friendly, but unless your dog is quiet as a mouse at all times, then I beg to differ. If you don’t like animals, then please, do us all a favor and go to a non pet friendly hotel so you have nothing to complain about 😒 Instead of staff offering that person with an issue another room, I’m getting calls and being made to feel like I’m the big issue there. Making me feel like I need to leave and unwanted there. I understand hearing a dog bark can be annoying, but we leave at a time where we feel most will be out shopping and eating out. Not early am or nighttime where it could be a disturbance. We are courteous people. We try to be anyway. But there’s always gotta be that one person who is not happy and has to complain about everything like the whole hotel and world revolves around them. Instead of staff offering better solutions, I was left feeling unwelcome and just wanted to go home. Left a day early. I will never be back here and I will make sure to spread the world for others not too as well with pets.

The "GENERAL MANAGER" checked me in. She was very polite and sweet. This location is in the center of all the great restaurants and activities. Everything was perfect! Clean room and excellent customer service . I will definitely return here with no hesitation. I would like to give a special shout out to Libbie and Chasity for making our stay even more amazing.

Our second time staying here and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. We're definitely going to come back soon. It's in a nice location, and the staff is always so nice. 😊 Keep up the good work!! We appreciate you!!! And pet friendly!!!
Chastity S — Google review
The hotel has a nice, spacious parking lot and looks good from the outside. However, there was a strong smell of gas from the chimney in the lobby. The pool area is nice. Breakfast was nothing special, but it was fine overall, and the service was good. The rooms are very small for a family of five. We didn't receive room service—our beds were never made, and the floor was not cleaned during our stay. The bathroom kit for five people consisted of just one very small shampoo, one small conditioner, and two bars of soap. There was no shower gel, so bring your own. The pet fee was $75 plus taxes for a 3-night stay. For that extra charge, I would have expected a cleaner room, as we've experienced in other hotels that didn't charge an additional pet fee. Overall, we wouldn’t recommend these rooms for a family of our size. It might be fine for smaller families. Still, the service did not meet our expectations—especially considering the extra cost (which was clearly stated, so we’re not complaining about that) we were charged for the dog.

The hotel is absolutely amazing. The parking lot is very spacious, and the hotel itself is spotless with absolutely no smell of smoke. It’s perfect for families with children. Our room had a kitchen and a dining table, so we were able to cook our own meals. The room was spacious and airy and even had a balcony. It’s close to shopping centers and entertainment venues. The location is great and very peaceful. I highly recommend it!

Absolutely loved staying here. Everybody was very kind and helpful. The room was a great size and I had my Momma, 2 of my nephews and my 2 sons all in 1 room. The room and the whole hotel was very clean. My mom smokes and there was a great area for her to go smoke. Had a great breakfast bar. I definitely will be going back again with my family.

The hotel is in a perfect location, right next to a babbling brook. It’s seconds from town yet quiet and peaceful. The hotel is older but still nice and very comfortable. The common areas are nice with rocking chairs on the front porch with tables around back next to the pool and lazy river. The only bad thing was our uncomfortable bed. We would come back again, but get a different room. Lastly it’s a ADA friendly hotel.

I stayed here with my kids high school music program. We had a fantastic stay. All of the rooms were very clean and well maintained. Set up nicely with new furniture. Lazy river, pools, jacuzzis, and campfires were spectacular. I was SO impressed by my room, I loved it. The breakfast was great. The lobby had a great variety of goods for sale. Front desk attendant at night and in the morning was super nice.

The only two things they could do better is. Not have runny watery eggs and gravy. The most important one is have better water pressure for the showers. This is to good of a place to have either. Location is perfect and staff is good. This is a must stay if you are coming to the area 😉. Plus its nice to have 2 burners and a microwave to make dinners if you don't feel like going out. Plenty of room for a family of 4. There's my 2 cents take it for what it is.

Extremely close to Dollywood. Slept 3 adults in room very comfortably on two beds and a sofa bed. Within easy walking distance of the main drag in Pigeon Forge. Easy parking, safe and comfortable room and nice folks at the desk. For our needs (parent and 2 15 or old boys), it was great.

VERY friendly and helpful staff. Housekeeping and Breakfast staff are very kind and thoughtful. Rooms are clean and orderly, though our bathroom could use a little updating. Location is perfect on the strip. Kids LOVED the outdoor pool and slide (we never used the inside one). Breakfast is delicious and has several options. The set up of the hotel makes it feel like a community versus just random guests. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Met lots of new people and heard many car stories (Pontiac convention this week). We will DEFINITELY be back!

Hello, Willow Brook lodge! Thank you for providing us with the getaway (August 27-29) we were looking for. We didn't go for the attractions, we were just looking to relax in a nice environment with a pool for a couple of days. And that is what we did😀 A friendly check in goes a long way with us, and it was nice to be greeted by people who seem happy to see you walk in. We were very pleased when we got to our room and found it spotless, with a nice clean refrigerator and microwave. The beds and furnishings were nice with clean bright sheets and fluffy pillows. Sadly the weather didn't give us the outdoor pool experience we wanted but there was a nice indoor pool overlooking the river. The pool area was enjoyable to hang out in, though. We are smokers and nice smoking areas were provided for us. The location of the property was great, walking distance to a lot of things. We chose this hotel at random but we are glad we have a new go-to in Pigeon Forge! We will be back when we can!😀

Cons: does not have a simple gym with treadmill or any workout equipment, very limited rooms with roll in shower for wheelchair. Pros: the staff was incredibly nice, the pools were my kids favorite part of the vocation, rooms freshened up daily, breakfast was above average compared to other hotels, plenty of vending machines at fair prices, rooms were very clean. Our family likes to explore different hotels when we visit the area however we will be using Willow Brook from now on when we visit. Best bang for your buck

The service here was amazing. Everyone was super friendly and laid back. The pool is great for kids and even adults. The breakfast was okay and the rooms were nice other than they have a little musty smell. We would come back and stay for sure.

We stayed here for Jeep Invasion 2025, and this place is awesome. Indoor & outdoor pool, kids pool area. Hot tub is also there. Service was awesome and very timely. We reserved our room for next year there as well before leaving.
Adam W — Google review
Although my kids had fun at the outdoor pool and it is located in a good area. The hotel room sucked. The floors was nasty, the beds felt like you were sleeping on bricks, the AC unit didn’t work (they did end up replacing it that day), the bathroom was so tiny and if you have to shut the door to take a shower you’ll roast of a heat stroke, the bathtub wouldn’t drain the water so the old water just sat there while the next person tried to shower. The breakfast was ok we ate it one morning. More than likely wouldn’t reserve a room there again unfortunately.

The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Gatlinburg is a budget-friendly hotel located just a block from top Parkway attractions. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and free Wi-Fi and TVs make it easy to stay connected while on vacation. The continental breakfast also makes staying in budget easy.
The room was small, but very clean. It could use some upgrades but it was fine for the 2 of us. The staff were all very nice and addressed all our questions and concerns. There was no loud partying or music and no loud neighbors beating on the ceiling. We were staying during Rod Run, so there were a lot of people and traffic. Even with that, the price was very reasonable and the location was convenient to everything we wanted to do. We will definitely consider them again in the future.
Amanda A — Google review
Microtel Inn in Gatlinburg stands out primarily for its **excellent location**, providing convenient access to nearby attractions and making it a great choice to explore the area. While the **breakfast** may not be exceptional, it is still better than most other hotels in the same category, offering a reasonable start to the day. However, **cleanliness is a concern**. The carpets appear noticeably dirty, and both the AC unit and windows were covered in dust, affecting the overall comfort of the stay. Improving housekeeping standards would greatly enhance the experience for future guests. Overall, the hotel's location is a major plus, but attention to cleanliness would make it a more appealing stay.
Amit S — Google review
Positives:Location great (right across from Convention Center& 1 block from main drag where the action is). Quiet. Nice large shower. Elevator from outside ‘garage’ to your floor & large trolleys available so you don’t have to carry everything. Negatives: No microwave in room. Knob to adjust mini frig missing-had to find something to use to turn it up. Elevator seriously needs serviced!! It wobbles side to side & is noisy-scared the crap outta me 1st & 2nd time I used it! Place needs some upgrading. Overall-you get what you pay for I guess. Cheapest rate around.
CaLynn77 — Google review
The hotel has a great location and friendly staff, which made the check-in process smooth and welcoming. However, I was a bit disappointed with the overall cleanliness—there were noticeable signs of wear in the room, and the bathroom could have been cleaner. The building itself feels quite dated and could benefit from some renovations. It’s conveniently located just a short drive from downtown Gatlinburg and the national park entrance—perfect for day trips and exploring. For the price point, I expected a more modern and well-maintained experience. Still, the service was good, and the stay was comfortable enough, just not quite up to the value for the cost. I would not recommend this for family with all the above points I mentioned however if you are looking for a crash place and head out then yes. Ask ChatGPT

We stayed 5/2 - 5-4. This hotel was thee worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, in my entire 43yrs of living. I’m very particular about where I stay and this was definitely at the bottom of the barrel!! The reviews will definitely fool you, the pictures were deceptive as well! Soon as I walked in, the entire hallway/steps area smells like they haven’t shampooed the carpet since they opened. It smells musty, maybe corn chippy. The room didn’t smell fresh at all, the tub filled up while showering, you can tell they did a rush job on the bathroom, nothing smelled clean AT ALL! The bed linen looked dingy, I was extremely disgusted!! I was told the money wouldn’t be charged to my card until my stay, and it definitely was charged ahead of time, or I would’ve LEFT! THE ONLY good thing about this hotel was the location, it was right by the strip in Gatlinburg, but I will NEVER stay here again!
Angela B — Google review
Just finding this place is difficult. There is just one partially obscured sign out front and google maps takes you to the back of the building where there is absolutely no signage letting you know where to park. We had to circle the block several times while trying to call their number which took several times for the call to go through. This caused the whole experience to be anxiety filled. Then checking it was less than welcoming. I'll never stay here again.
Happily R — Google review
Great location and spacious/quiet room. Very nice for what you pay. It’s a short walk away from heart of downtown and a 15 min walk from Gatlinburg trail and National Park entry One issue I had was the check in staff either didn’t listen or see my dog was a service dog- also vested when we arrived. I found a charge for a pet fee on my account after I checked out. It took 3 days calling them back and forth to finally speak with manager who without issue refunded the fee and apologized. Mistakes happen, I understand. Maybe next time when someone arrives with a service animal they will listen. Thank you for staying proffesional

It was horrible. The sheets on the beds were dirty. No one was at the front desk when we got there we got there a little late, but there’s still should have been someone there to check us in the carpet was dirty. When we drove up there was a coffee table sitting on the parking lot. It smelled old and nasty. Just not a good fit for me and my family. We left and found another hotel thank God.

Great place to stay!! Easy to get in and out of, each room has their own parking space. It sits along side the creek and the balcony is wonderful to sit on and listen to the water. The staff is amazing and very accommodating and helpful! The rooms have been updated and it's nice and cozy. You are provided with a housecoat to wear while here and can buy one when you leave! There is no lobby or front desk just the valet folks at the front, but that being said the service is top notch! It is adult only which I think is definitely a blessing! The price are so reasonable for such a lovely little place to stay! Highly recommend!

Rooms LOOKED bigger in pics, but that is my only gripe. The upgraded tub was a life saver. If you are planning to do a ton of walking, get a room with a tub. Your feet will thank you! Room itself was very cleaning ultra quiet. No kids is a huge plus. You can fish off your back deck and they are prompt answering msgs. Location is perfect for walking downtown. Not too far to walk comfortably, but far enough away from the chaos. Over all we would stay again. Can't put a price on a good night's sleep away from home.

Rooms were pretty grubby, we found an old bar of soap in the bathroom (along with someone else’s hair on it) and nail clippings on the balcony which was really gross. The service was off given it’s supposed to be a luxury hotel- our room was left OPEN by housekeeping but was completely shrugged off by a staff member. Sound proofing is non existent and be warned - if you visit in October the town is filled with loud cars for the show. I completely understand that this is not the hotels fault but a courtesy email mentioning delays or just how busy the town would be would have really helped. The hotel is in an amazing location and check in was easy but honestly given the price we paid- be wary of this being marketed as luxury as it is not! It has potential

The fact that this is adult only makes it perfect. There’s no kids running up and down the hallway, the rocking chairs and bath robes that overlook the river, providing an amazing view the room and the amenities are incredible in top notch from the coffee machine to the bottles of whiskey on the wall. The service we received was amazing. Matthew was an extreme help, and I travel with my service animal as a veteran and this hotel’s pet friendly nature makes us want to come back again and again and again they truly are wonderful staff.

The view was amazing from the balcony. Bed was the most comfortable bed we've probably ever had. Service was fantastic but seemed like they were in a rush with cleaning rooms but we did arrive right near check in time.

One evening I sat in the rocking chair on the balcony and enjoyed listening to the relaxing water flowing in the river below. There are trees lining the far side of the river so it is secluded. Rocky waters is located close to a trolley stop and is within walking distance from some attractions. The staff can't be any better.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms and view are beautiful. The location is close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but quiet and not in the middle of all the tourist attraction. Very relaxing, great food and drinks at the restaurant. We will definitely be back.

The Gatlinburg Inn, a vintage hotel established in 1937, offers charming accommodations and a range of amenities. The property exudes old-fashioned Southern hospitality, featuring a front porch adorned with rocking chairs that overlook the mountains. Its central location places guests in close proximity to popular attractions such as the Gatlinburg Sky Lift and the Gatlinburg Space Needle. With 70 rooms including family suites and presidential suites, the inn caters to various group sizes and preferences.
Good Location. All staff are very kind and polite. Good breakfast, better than Holiday inn for sure. Lots of options. We would eat there then go over to one of the Coffee shops for our morning coffee. The drawback which I will not ding them for is I was in room 105 which backs to the stairs so all day and night you hear clomping up and down stairs and the room is located across from the breakfast room and its the first room on the hallway so everyone talking ALL NIGHT long can be heard. It's like no ones parents have ever taught them manners or HEY, behind all these doors are weary travellers so lets talk quietly. The loudest were the people that come in, I am assuming hammered, between 11 and 2 am... But again, I do not DING the Gatlinburg Inn... That's any hotel. If you want to be walking distance to everything this is the place. BTW new washer/dryer on first floor works great. Dried very large load in 45 MIN no problem. Pool is good enough and you can watch the people going up the lift.

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was amazing and everyone was very friendly. The room was super dated but it’s whatever I knew it was old when I chose it. My view sucked but I didn’t complain so that’s not their problem. We was on the side by the pool and seen a bear in sugarlands parking lot and that was awesome. If you are looking for convenience to the strip it’s perfect. They even gave us a yummy strawberry muffin at checkout.

Me and my wife absolutely love it here. We did not have any problems with service or staff. They were knowledgeable, respectful, helpful, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was delicious and great. When we parked our car we didn’t have to move it again unless we wanted to go somewhere else because the Gatlinburg Inn is centrally located to just about everything that we wanted to do in Gatlinburg. There are so many restaurants, activities and all kinds of entertainment in and around the inn. You will absolutely not be disappointed with your stay at the Gatlinburg inn. I would absolutely recommend the inn to anyone. I just booked another stay here in the near future for 6days and 5nights. This will be our 3rd stay here. We have absolutely no desire or plans to stay anywhere else, but here. It is worth every penny. I very highly recommend the Gatlinburg inn

Disappointing Stay at Gatlinburg Inn My stay at the Gatlinburg Inn was underwhelming, to say the least. Accessibility Issues: The hotel entrance is extremely inconvenient. You must access it from the main street, which requires making a right turn in notoriously congested traffic. Despite being able to see the hotel from the back street, we couldn’t enter from that side as it’s completely closed off. It took us nearly 45 minutes to navigate from the back to the front entrance—an incredibly frustrating start to our stay. Outdated Amenities: While the hotel markets itself as traditional and historic, the amenities fall far short of modern standards. The room had very few power outlets, making it difficult to charge our phones and devices. The lighting was extremely dim throughout, giving the space an uncomfortably dark, dated atmosphere. The room’s single switch controlled both the hallway and bedroom lights simultaneously, offering no flexibility. If you wanted subtle lighting at night without full brightness, there was simply no option. We resorted to leaving the bathroom light on just to have some ambient light. Room Quality Concerns: Our “patio view” overlooked a storage area filled with scaffolding and broken AC units—hardly the scenic experience we expected. The bathroom lacked an exhaust fan, which was quite uncomfortable. Even the TV was problematic, with such poor picture quality that watching NFL games was difficult due to the grainy display. Breakfast Layout: The breakfast setup was disorganized and inconvenient. Items were scattered illogically throughout a large room—cereal dispensers in one corner, milk in the opposite corner, coffee on one side with creamer and sugar 10-15 feet away. This made the breakfast experience unnecessarily tedious. Final Thoughts: I rarely write negative reviews, but after reading so many positive reviews about this property, I felt compelled to share our contrasting experience. Unfortunately, our stay did not live up to expectations.

We stayed for the weekend with 4 adults and 3 children. We booked a 3 bedroom suite, the Maples Suite. It was very clean. There were plenty of towels and washcloths for all of us. Breakfast was hot and delicious each morning. Location is perfect. We were able to walk the main strip without any issues. No issues with parking. We did not have any problems with excessive noise at night and everyone slept well. The pool was clean and a good size for us to swim. We were given three blueberry muffins for the children at check out and they were amazing and fresh. We will be staying here again for sure!

I’ve always loved this historic hotel — my family has been coming here for decades, and it’s a place filled with memories. Unfortunately, this visit left me feeling disappointed and unheard. I wear retainers, and while I understand accidents can happen, mine went missing during our stay. I had left them on the sink, and later noticed housekeeping had come by since the towels were replaced. After that, the retainers were gone. We searched everywhere — the room, our bags, our clothes — but they were nowhere to be found. When I went to the front desk, I was met with a simple “I’m sorry,” followed by a question asking if I was the one who threw them away. I wasn’t angry, just shocked and hurt. I was polite and understanding, only hoping for some help, but instead I felt dismissed. I was told to call the GM, which I did, but I only reached voicemail. Now I’m left without my retainers and facing a $900 replacement bill. I know mistakes happen, but what really hurt was the lack of care and compassion afterward. I wish the situation had been handled with a bit more empathy and accountability.
Candy O — Google review
It's a really good 2-star hotel. Like the best of their class. It's not a new hotel and you get what you pay for but this place was good. It's definitely more for old folks, but my family had a blast. If you want modern amenities, look elsewhere, but they are trying, and i give them a lot of respect for updating where possible. If you want a building with some history and good parking, go here. I would go here again.

Absolutely love this little hotel! My boyfriend and I are checking out today after an awesome long weekend in the Smokies. We arrived early Thursday, and they were kind enough to let us check in a hour early. We also got upgraded to a river view room for free! I think the front desk lady said that they oversold the regular rooms or something, but we were so happy! We sat on the balcony every morning with our coffee and every night before bed. It was so relaxing to hear the water rushing by. If it wasn’t so warm, we would have left the door open. We also love that it’s a couple blocks from the strip but just far enough to where you still feel a bit secluded. We seen a bear every day in the parking lot across the street (named him Franklin). The breakfast included is honestly great for a small breakfast! We went down and grabbed it and coffee each morning. Everyone who works here is also SO nice. I will be staying here again when we return and highly recommend. You cannot beat this value for the price!

Good place to stay. Nice clean room. The TV was s.all but I didn't mind. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was the fold lock on the door. It had apparently been broken off at one point. They repaired it with a wooden block and sheetrock screws that were stripped out. The block was hanging lose but the main door lock worked as designed. Nice room, friendly people, good breakfast (Waffle, O.J., Coffee and cinnamon buns. Fair price and easy walking distance to down town.

I booked two rooms based on the great reviews. Rooms are dated, which was not really a problem. My room had dirty linens. It was apparent the sheets had not been changed from the previous guest. The front desk brought me new sheets to put on myself. The second room had hair all over the bathroom. Front staff was nice but I would prefer clean rooms and bed. Location was nice and quiet. I would choose another hotel going forward

We just spent 2 nights at this wonderful facility, 2 blocks from all the attractions but a peaceful world away from all the hoopla. The room was spacious, well cared for and a joy to return to each day. All employees were helpful, pleasant and made you feel welcomed. There’s soooo many places to stay in and around Gatlinburg, we’re so glad this became our home away from home for 48 hours, we will be back.

The bed and pillow was comfy and location isint bad either. However the cleanliness of the room was severely lacking. There was a cobweb on the wall next to the bed. And the bathtub was dirty. It had some yellow streaks idk what it was. They supposedly cleaned the room while we were gone but the bathtub and the cobweb were still there.

Nestled in Gatlinburg, the Chalet Inn offers a cozy stay with some rooms boasting stunning views of the Great Smoky Mountains. The rustic elegance of the hotel is complemented by private whirlpools in some rooms, providing a luxurious experience. Its proximity to attractions like Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway and Ripleys Aquarium of the Smokies makes it an ideal choice for travelers. While some guests feel that renovations are needed, others appreciate the clean and charming rooms.
I section hiked the Appalachian Trail and the shuttle driver hooked me up with this location. It was nice to have a room to myself to re-organize my backpack and dry out my gear from the rain the night before. I stayed two nights. I would love to come back here. It was very comfortable and quaint.

I was super surprised when I walked into my room. I couldn’t believe it was real — a 2-star hotel isn’t supposed to look like this! Very luxurious furniture, plenty of space, and a beautiful view from our balcony. This is definitely a 5-star experience in a 2-star hotel!
Ivan ( — Google review
The Chalet Inn is possibly the most underrated hotel in all of Gatlinburg. For one of the lowest prices in the city, the rooms were huge, artisanal, clean, and very cozy. The furniture was outright fancy, the tub was deep, the king bed had multiple comfy blankets, each room has a spacious mini fridge and microwave, and the room’s balcony—which was concrete and provided the utmost privacy—had a beautiful view of the mountains and city, and chairs you could kick your feet up on the balcony in while you admire the sunrise or the sounds of the forest. I must say, BOOK DIRECTLY THROUGH THEM! I had difficulty checking in due to an issue on Booking.com’s end. The young lady working at the front desk, however, was super attentive and accommodating for my issue. She completely handled all the Booking drama for me, upgraded my room, and saved me $30+ on my 2 day reservation. I want to mention that I saw another review somewhere mentioning a smell of mold upon entering the building. This is absolutely not the case—the entryway of the chalets are real stone corridors. If you are unfamiliar with the smell of a stone building, I can easily see it being mistaken for a mold smell. But ultimately, the smell is cozy and does not come into the rooms at all regardless (though there is a vent by the door you can open if you love that smell). The complimentary parking was also convenient for walking around downtown, the secluded pool was pretty and clean, and the environment was very quiet—minus the songs of nature, of course! We loved staying here and would be happy to stay longer in the future. It was a room that you want to spend time in. For a low star hotel, it was 10/10 for us!

Staff from the Econo Lodge at the River run this place, and the staff is great! Very nice facilities. Nothing fancy but CLEAN!!!! Great location. Would definitely recommend and we will be coming back.

I've contributed photos of the room before. I stay here every time I come to Gatlinburg - you cannot be at the view, about a minute by car from the main street. Everything on the rooms is updated, yet the architecture makes you feel as if you are stepping back in time. Some may call it dated, but I think it's part of its charm. I saw others complaining about bed bugs. Never had that issue before, and I'm including a photo showing no bed bugs evidence on mattress or sheets (in fact, mattress looks fairly new)
William H — Google review
The room i got was the king bed with mountain view and the view did not disapoint. Everything was clean when we arrived. The office to check in is down the hill at another hotel(econolodge) that was strange but the staff have been so friendly. The pool is clean and easy to get to as well. It looks like your really close to town but it is a bit of a walk. You can park at the econo lodge lot if that helps a bit.

Very nice room very nice people and really close to downtown easy access for walking. You can drive down from the chalet park at the Econo Lodge and you’re a block and a half from the strip me and my wife spent two nights here. Very nice nice people.

I have always loved this place for its location and amazing balcony views. My experience this time was more of the same, except Lauren at the front desk was the sweest person to talk to of all the front desk people out here!! I only give a 4/5 bc it is still an old kitchy place which i think is charming but the rooms could use a little updating.

Super friendly ownership (all family). Super helpful with things to do in town or in the surrounding towns. If you needed anything extra for your room they were more than happy to supply you with it. Great bang for your buck if you’re looking for a place to stay!

I booked this place after seeing good reviews on booking.com and google maps , but there’s no way this is a 4-star hotel—nowhere close. As soon as we opened the door, the room smelled of mold. One of the bedside lights was missing, the USB outlet had no power, and the other half of the outlets were covered. The pillows and bedsheets had visible stains. I even wore my socks when I slept. The bath looks dirty. The shower looks broke and water pressure was low. The washroom was kind dark. Everything looked cheap and sketchy. Don’t trust the good reviews. I’d rather spend more money elsewhere for a clean and comfortable stay.
Mi M — Google review
As some have stated , I have no idea where the good reviews came from. My husband and I booked for two nights and found somewhere else for our second night. The room itself was clean but the bed was super comfortable and extremely loud when just sitting down or moving yourself. There was little to no water pressure. The tempurature for the water was either scalding hot or ice cold, no in between. If you turned the on/pff valve too far it would shut off. The tub spout was falling off. Our tv remote also did not work. Do not recommend staying here.
Kira L — Google review
We had four people, three nights. You get what you pay for, but most of that is going for location. The motel is within walking distance of the main drag for Gatlinburg; it's a small hike up a hill when you're coming back, so if you're exhausted from the day or have mobility issues keep that in mind. Otherwise it's certainly worth it to avoid heavy traffic and costly parking. It's also far enough away to be quiet, and you have a pretty easy escape route to Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains, even in heavy traffic, when you're ready for something other than Gatlinburg. So if you just want a place to store your stuff and crash at night, while your primary goals are out and about in the city and surrounding nature, then this isn't a terrible choice... but manage your expectations. The beds are very hard, the pillows are extremely thin (helps it you fold them in half or thirds). The room had a heavy cologne scent when we first walked in but by the second day it was apparent this was to mask the musty odor in the room. Our only real issue was a towel situation. We had four people but there were only three towels. When we asked for more it got a little awkward; possibly due to a language barrier but we were begrudgingly given some extras, but by the third night we were back down to three and just dealt with it. Overall we have no regrets staying here and the price was fine for what we wanted; but I think next time we might splurge on somewhere else.

Me and my husband just left Moutain Inn on 8/18/25 for a vacation in Gatlinburg, TN. I don't know were the bad reviews come from. The only thing I can come up with for these bad reviews are from those who are use to living a certan lifestyle. I definitely wasn't paid for this review. The price for the stay is worth it. The rooms were nice. There wasn't any mold or midlew smell. The only thing is the bathroom is small, and in the tub the paint was coming off, but besides that it a nice place to stay. Also the location is great, its walking distance. I recommend this place.
L C — Google review
Super nice owners, clean room, comfy bed, perfect location. We walked to dinner, local attractions, breweries, bakeries, shopping from the Inn. Outdoor pavilion was great to hang out at night with family and friends who came for a family wedding. We’d stay there again! 😊 Watch out for the bears!
Jo S — Google review
These reviews cannot be real. The only good thing is the location. The air smells moldy as soon as it came on. Left and came back to the room and it was smelly from the ac unit. The refrigerator does not get cold so our leftovers were wasted. Tubs aren’t that clean. Beds are hard. The moldy smell made the whole stay JUST BAD! We didn’t want to even touch anything….HONESTLY!
Snell L — Google review
We found this on booking.com, paid $123.00. When we got our key, the clerk said I would have given it to you for less… we decided to stay another night and it was $80! The original place we set up said we had the wrong dates, booking.com $135- got there and they wanted $264! We saw a bear while sitting outside. The bed and pillows were comfortable, everything was clean and the staff was friendly.

Guest services was amazing. Very accommodating, polite, friendly and professional. Bar service was friendly and professional as well. We dined at the Roaring Fork restaurant. The server was amazing and very engaging. I had trout which was slightly overdone. My companion had chicken Alfredo, which was OK. Very relaxing, quiet atmosphere for dining.

The facilities are beautiful and well-kept, with a simple check-in/out process. Staff were friendly, especially the bartenders, and breakfast had good variety. The afternoon happy hour with drinks was also a nice touch. For our taste, the location was wonderful—quiet, tucked away in the mountains, just 10 minutes walking from Gatlinburg’s main street. You can also take the free trolley bus, which stops right at the hotel entrance, making it very convenient. We even spotted a couple of bears during our stay, which was amazing! Housekeeping could improve: the first day our beds weren’t made and the trash wasn’t taken out, and throughout the stay the bathroom didn’t feel properly cleaned (towels were changed, but the shower and sink seemed unattended). Overall, we really enjoyed our time, and the peaceful setting made it a memorable stay.

Great location off of the main strip’s noise and traffic. Newer hotel, so modern and clean. Friendly staff, especially during breakfast. Breakfast menu was better than most hotels. Ample parking (albeit having to pay). Gym was on the small side and could use more machines. Our 1 bedroom suite was good enough, but the kitchenette could have used some basic plates, silverware, etc. Room had a nice closet, but no drawers. We’ve noticed this about many new Marriott hotels…don’t get the concept tho. “Dear, Marriott, normal people bring clothes when they travel!!!” Overall, we’d recommend this hotel.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton in Gatlinburg was wonderful! There was plenty of entertainment, and even late Sept. we were able to enjoy the lazy river, pool, and of course hot tub. In the evenings, the fire pits were a cozy spot to relax. They also serve complimentary drinks (adult and Moc-tails), which was a nice touch. Customer service was excellent, and the breakfast spread / omlet bar was impressive. A quick walk to the Troll around town or down the hill to everything.

I really wanted to like this place, but for $300 a night, I expect better. When we first got to the room, I noticed the sink was cracked and one of the recepticles on the nightstand was loose. I messaged the front desk, they asked me if I wanted them to send someone up to resolve the issues. I told her for the rate they charged, I thought the room would be in better shape. This is a copy and paste directly from her response: all embassy suites are different with how they are set up and the room types they have and the rates just vary on the season and time of year Kaylee Front Desk Supervisor. That does not seem to be a four star level response to me.

After a long day of hiking in the Smokey mountains, we checked into our hotel around 4:00 PM thinking we would clean up and go out for dinner; however, the amenities at Embassy Suites satisfied us without having to venture out. A relaxing hot tub, a nice complimentary social hour on the outdoor veranda, and a nice evening meal in their onsite restaurant left us feeling relaxed and satisfied about our choice of accommodations in Gatlinburg. The property opened in 2024 and is well maintained. I highly recommend it!

Ski Mountain Lodge- Downtown Gatlinburg is a charming accommodation located in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, offering easy access to the town's vibrant attractions and dining options. The lodge provides a rustic yet convenient stay with keyless entry and responsive customer service. While some guests initially mistook its location for being outside of town due to its cabin-like appearance in photos, they found it to be centrally situated near other buildings.
The outside caused my oh what have I booked. We opened the door and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, and beds were comfortable. We booked the 3 queen room, it worked great for my family. I took a video if I can figure out how to post it.

Booked this hotel for a one night stay, got to the room and it was the size of a literal small bedroom. No space for anything, the bathrooms were gross and the whole room smelled like mildew and mold. Immediately left and booked another room somewhere else. Messaged the property and let them know we were leaving and why, and they never acknowledged nor messaged me back about my concerns. Please head this warning and do not stay here. The prices are appealing but that’s it.

AVOID. I filled out the check in form ahead of time and received multiple messages confirming my stay, as well as the room number and door code. When we arrived and were getting our things from the car, the manager asked me what room we were in and when I told him, he said "Not anymore" and said there was a sewer issue and he'd had to shut down the whole block of rooms but that we'd get a full refund. Never got the refund, followed up and was told I'd need to contact Booking.com (even though at the time he said he'd process the refund right away and I didn't need to do anything) so I did, and was told that the property didn't respond to confirm that a refund was warranted.

This was a nice room they are still working on the updates to the outside. They give you door code so there is no key or card to keep up with. We had 4 kids with us and the room was great, with 3 queen beds and a fold out couch we had plenty of room. The beds were in separate rooms plus 2 full bathrooms. I would book with them again.

My wife and I arrived for a quick three night getaway trip on September 16. We did not know what to expect as the rate was so reasonable. But this place is a definite jewel. The location is just a couple blocks from the strip. Walking distance to many Attractions and restaurants on that end of the strip. The room was fantastic. All of the rooms have been remodeled. What amazes me most was the cleanliness of the room. I have been to high-end brand hotels that their cleanliness was questionable. But this room was pristine! The bed is extremely comfortable, the walk-in shower is amazing. Endless hot water and fantastic water pressure. And ice cold air conditioning. It meets all of our Requirements! The room does have a mini fridge with a freezer, microwave, and a mini coffee pot, But no other major frills. But when we go to Gatlinburg, we go to enjoy the scenery, sites and attractions… Not to sit in the hotel room! Many guests have commented on the exterior of the motel and the pool. We had the pleasure of talking to the owner, and he told us that he has been working on the place for two years. The interiors of all the rooms are done, and they have almost completed Finishing the exterior as well. Due to new codes, he won’t be able to keep the pool, so after the exterior is completed, they will have to fill it in. But he has plans for the future for some other extra perks. And don’t pay any attention to people saying that the area is sketchy. There are a few older hotels and apartments located nearby, but the area feels very safe. We will DEFINITELY be back!!

It was in a very convenient location about 5 minute walk to downtown Gatlinburg the outside needs work but if your just looking for a place to sleep and close to everything this is it for the price!!

The room is small but clean, the bed and everything was clean. BUT the air conditioner in room 102 is too old, it cools well but the noise is too annoying, like a tractor working. Also, the smell of dampness or mold in the room is strong. We went to buy an air freshener to refresh the smell; they should open the windows or doors so the sun can come in and maybe the smell would go away. But in relation to the price, the room is fine with those exceptions of the smell and the air conditioner. The WiFi never worked, and they never replied to the messages I sent to ask about it.

We really like the room has a great feel to this lodge and we like the shower pressure we did our laundry here as well. We liked the location and the fresh mountain air has a stream next to this lodge the Staff and cleaning lady have been kind to us & the prices was in our budget. They are remodeling this Lodge so I'm giving it 5 stars the Manager said , they are going to have food & music soon to come. Thank you, Brant & Tess
