Chiran Peace Museum is a solemn tribute to the brave army pilots who lost their lives in WWII. Located in a serene woodland area, the museum displays personal artifacts and planes, offering a poignant insight into the sacrifices made during the war. The museum stands as a powerful reminder of the futility of war, particularly focusing on the tokko pilots who departed from Chiran air base for their ultimate sacrifice.
It is a place where you can feel the history of Japan. There are exhibits of their achievements and their wills, etc. that make us acutely aware of their feelings for their loved ones. Thanks to them, Okinawa and Japan exist today. When I saw the video about them, I could not stop crying. I think it is important for Japanese people to learn from them so that we will never repeat the same mistakes again. It is also most important to pass on such feelings to the new generation.
G.Mtajhw — Google review
The museum is dedicated to the kamikaze. Most information is only in Japanese. There are a few videos / slideshows. You can’t take pictures in the main section of the museum but you can take pictures of one airplane and the airplanes outside. The grounds and park nearby were beautiful during cherry blossom season.
Travelbuff — Google review
A really informative museum, well maintained and with many items on display - from many personal items of the pilots, personal journals and uniforms, to three Japanese WW2 airplanes (2 well maintained, 1 wreck) History and aviation/WW2 enthusiasts will find it very pleasing to visit. The tablet containing the interactive museum map is quite cumbersome and the map interface a bit tricky, but the English audio-guide itself is great and very informative. Many of the exhibits, however, have only Japanese explanations written next to them, so I would recommend having your google translate/lens app at the ready. To me personally, the museum's content was quite moving.
ניב א — Google review
A humanising perspective of the kamikaze pilots of WWII. While they were willing to take drastic measures to die for their country, they were at the very core just soldiers and patriots who wanted to be loyal to their nation. And to their family and friends, they were ordinary men who had lives outside of the army before the war. A sobering reminder that in war there are no winners, and that while Japan (as a political and military force) was the aggressor, ordinary people ended up paying the price they need not have.
Jonathan C — Google review
The Chiran Peace Museum is a real tearjerker. The place really hits home on the tragedies of war, especially with the stories of young kamikaze pilots, some just 17, who never came back. The main exhibits showcase their last letters—it's so moving. If you're an English speaker, grab the audio tour guide for just 200 yen; it really helps explain the letters and the backstories. Heads up, photos are only allowed in two marked spots inside. Getting there is a bit of a trek since it's pretty remote. There's a bus from Kagoshima station, but it takes around 90 minutes and doesn't run too often.
Piyush S — Google review
Visiting the Chiran Peace Museum was a deeply moving experience—one that left a lasting impression on our family. Nestled near the historic town of Chiran in Kagoshima, this museum commemorates the lives of young kamikaze pilots who departed from this very region during World War II. 🏛️ Powerful Exhibits & Personal Stories The museum is a quiet, respectful space filled with photographs, letters, personal belongings, and thoughtfully curated exhibits. One display that touched us deeply featured farewell letters written by pilots—often filled with heartfelt words to their loved ones and reflections on duty. It’s hard not to feel moved reading their personal messages, imagining their hopes and fears. ⚓ Historical Context & Reflection Beyond individual stories, the museum provides rich context on the military strategy behind the kamikaze missions and Chiran’s role as a departure base. The black-and-white photographs gave us a vivid sense of the local landscape back then—complemented by historical footage that brought the era to life. 🌿 Serene Garden & Memorial Area Stepping outside to the memorial garden brought another layer of reflection. The peaceful garden, lined with stone monuments engraved with pilots’ names, offered a tranquil place for reflection. We lingered here, contemplating the human cost of war—finding solace in the gentle ambiance and distant ocean breeze. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 A Moving Family Experience Although some parts of the museum are solemn—especially the personal stories—our kids, aged 10 and 13, absorbed the atmosphere with thoughtful questions and quiet respect. It sparked meaningful conversations about history, sacrifice, and the importance of peace. ✨ Overall Impressions The Chiran Peace Museum isn’t just a historical site—it’s a moving tribute that feels deeply personal and respectful. We spent a heartfelt 90 minutes inside, and another half-hour walking the garden and savouring the quiet. It’s not easy to visit, but it’s profoundly worth it for anyone seeking understanding, reflection, and a reminder of the past’s human impact. Highly recommended for those visiting Kagoshima who want a meaningful, reflective pause on their journey.
Crumpled N — Google review
Great peaceful place with lots of information about the individuals that sacrificed themselves. You can see a recreation of the bunkers they lodged in. Lots of information about everything. There is some kind of sadness in the air

Kamafuta Shrine is a unique Shinto shrine located on a coastal headland, offering stunning views of the surrounding ocean. One of its notable traditions is the Kamafuta Gankake Prayer, where visitors balance a large cooking pot lid on their heads and walk from the torii shrine gate to the shrine hall to prevent bad fortunes. The shrine is surrounded by beautiful natural attractions such as the Kaimondake Volcano and Chiringashima island, accessible only during low tide.
Beautiful view. Cute design and calm environment. Locals come regularly also. Drive was excruciatingly long because the view along the way was majorly farmlands or small village houses. Nothing is opened on weekdays, the drive was not so smooth because of commercial/ construction trucks. I recommend using the Ibusuki skyline (100yen) if you’re driving a nice car.
Felicia W — Google review
Interesting shrine with a challenging task for praying surrounded by water and not so crowded. you can see the beautiful ocean. Pray and walk the "pot cover" over ur head balancing it to the pray box, then your pray shall be heard. I did it with one try while i was in a rush. Contributed for the charms and fortune. Don't forget to walk to the back for the rest of the scenery, it's definitely worth it I managed to finished visiting the Shrine within the hour since I didn't want to get stuck at the area for hours as there is only a few train that runs through the area throughout the day. My hotel was in Ibusuki and i would need to wait for hours until another train to take me back.
Luke L — Google review
Just randomly turned when I saw a sign and ended up here with three bus loads of foreign tourists...I put my helmet down, snapped a picture and ran away. But the place is beautiful even if your shrine prayers aren't answered (and they won't be, ever).

Chiran Samurai Residence Garden is a must-visit for history enthusiasts, offering insights into its role as the southernmost base for kamikaze fighters during WW2. The peace museum provides detailed English explanations and showcases personal items like letters and photographs of the fighters. In addition to its historical significance, Chiran boasts over 500 samurai residences from the late Edo period.
It's a small village that has been kept as intact as possible. You're able to go and view some houses and see the streets and wander through them. Be warned if you go anywhere summer up until September and you come from a cold country- it's suuuuuuper hot
Mc0mich — Google review
Lovely stroll through the residences. You can go into some courtyards but you can’t go inside any houses.
Travelbuff — Google review
It has been a big deception to visit the Chiran Samurai Residence gardens. Some of them were already closed. The others left in a neglected condition. No signs of irrigation in a region with abundant water supply! The gardens were completely dried out. It’s a pitty that the great patrimonial potential of this place is left in this condition. My advice to travellers: Don‘t waste any time to come here!
Or P — Google review
Very interesting. Houses that each have their own garden.
Greg G — Google review
Beautiful and peaceful gardens. We loved visiting these gardens and learning more about Japanese culture. A lovely area to go and worth the drive from Kagoshima. We went as a family and everyone from my children to my father enjoyed our time here.
Jordan R — Google review
Inside the samurai residence you can visit seven houses, but you can enter to the gardens only. Gardens are so beautiful with flowers. You can take a look from outside to inside of the houses in few places. There are coffee shops and restaurants too. Parking is free of charge.
Tunde G — Google review
Absolutely amazing . A piece of japanese history well preserve well maintain .very educational.its like a travel back in time . A must see . Its peaceful , quiet .not your usual overcrowded tourist spot . You can really enjoy yourself walking through the gardens
Emma P — Google review
Fantastic piece of history as everything has stayed in place since they were built, the English signs were full of great information about each house and garden, you can use the QR code to listen to it but no need to waste time, just enjoy being there. Conned into paying to “go inside” when it’s so quiet that nobody would notice but they say staff need to see the ticket at each garden but also it’s just to see the garden and not inside the houses, they’re just for storage now.

Bandokorobana Park is a charming seaside park that features a vast tide pool, an aquarium filled with seahorses, and stunning views of the Kaimondake volcano. The House of the Seahorse is an adorable souvenir shop where visitors can observe numerous seahorses swimming around in tanks. The forest floor is home to countless scurrying crabs; however, caution must be taken not to step on them while strolling through the area.
Beautiful scenery with Kaimondake looming in the background. The House of the Seahorse is a quaint little souvenir shop with many seahorses zipping about in aquariums. There are lots of crabs scuttling on the forest floor - be careful lest you step on one. Watch out for spiders; they can be seen devouring unfortunate bees or lying in wait in their large spun webs all over the length of the walk. We tried to get to the Kamafuku Shrine but the tide came in. Remember to watch out for waves along the rocky parts of the beach.

Such a beautiful place!!! The beach side can find many sea creatures~ good spot for family to walk and exercise. It will be better to drive there, cause it takes around 20-25 minutes by walking from train station. Sea horse museum not very big but you can observe couple different type of sea horses. :) If you are lucky as us, you may see the sea horse giving birth to babies~~ ❤️

This is such a beautiful park so close to the city center Kagoshima. It will take around 40 minutes by car. There is a big playground there. On the way to the park, you can enjoy the scenic view of Sakura on both sides of the road in spring. There is a river passing through the park where you can have a bath and have a lot of fun. In a pond inside, you can see a lot of colorful fishes. It is a joy to feed those fishes. The views are spectacular and you can also enjoy BBQ. Must go if you can manage time.

If you're looking to immerse yourself in the rich history and stunning landscapes of Kagoshima, a visit to Chiran Samurai Residence Garden is an absolute must. Nestled within the old samurai district, this enchanting location features several well-preserved samurai houses lined along a picturesque street. As you stroll through this serene area, you'll encounter blooming sakura trees and vibrant butterflies fluttering about, especially delightful during late April.
A must visit place if you are in Kagoshima, beautiful beyond words. The tea here is extremely delicious. The entry ticket price was 530yen

Place called old samurai district. We walked here from Chiran peace museum. Although it doesn't seem so, you need to buy a ticket to visit. Basically just few old houses and gardens. Explanations are in English and you'll most likely got them when you purchased the ticket

Take time and small steps walk around the samurai district. Enjoy real samurai houses and gardens. Don't forget to try Japanese tea that some house serve.

Tranquil, well preserved samurai residences and gardens. Be aware of the bus schedule on Jorudan can be different from actual schedule
J H — Google review
You could finish touring the 7 Samurai houses in the past in 40 minutes. A few of them were big. They were all laid in one straight street. There were still a few sakura trees that were still full of blooming blossoms. There were many orange and light yellow butterflies. The time I was there was in the 3rd week of April. The public toilet was in the middle of this street.

Onodake Park offers a breathtaking view of Mt. Kaimon-dake, also known as the Mt. Fuji of Satsuma, Ikeda Lake, and Kinko Bay from its observatory at the summit. It is believed to bestow longevity and good health upon visitors. Many come here to celebrate important ages like 77 (Kiju), 88 (Beiju), and 108 (Chaju) by climbing the 108 stairs to the top.
(Translated by Google) You can drive close to the observation deck and get a panoramic view of Lake Ikeda, Mt. Kaimondake, Ibusuki, and Kinko Bay, and if you climb the stairs to the top where the antenna is located, you can also see the direction of Makurazaki. (Translated by Google) You can reach near the top with ample vehicle width. The parking lot was spacious and the restrooms were clean and flush. There is a shrine right next to it, and you can also go there. There are some stairs to get to the top, but there is a barrier-free detour to the left. There are stairs up to that point, so it doesn't really make sense. The summit offers a 360 degree panoramic view. I recommend the Kirari Observation Deck, and I heard later that if you take a photo from a sitting position, it will look like you are in the air. It's recommended because the scenery is beautiful and it's easy to get to. I gave it 4 stars because there are too many antennas and the photos look bad. For example, geological strata, agricultural history, food at the time, agricultural equipment, etc. To be honest, I think this is interesting in its own way, but if you come here thinking it's a war-related museum, you might be disappointed. If you want to know about Chiran itself in a different genre, you should visit this one. I didn't have much time so I couldn't see it thoroughly, but I thought it would be better if they had more information on tea history and other areas. No one, including me, knows that Kagoshima is number one in Japan for tea, and I'm sure they don't know that Chiran tea is particularly famous. I hope they can include more information about that and make it a facility that can promote Chiran. Since it is a prefecture that has abolished Buddhism and Kishaku, it makes me wonder if it is strict not only for Ikko sects but also for all Buddhism. Nishi-Ōyama Station, the southernmost railway station in Japan operated by JR, offers a stunning view of Kaimon-dake volcano. The area around the station is rich in attractions, including historical sites and natural wonders like Nagasakibana and Kaimondake. Visitors can enjoy a cycling road that showcases the history, nature, and tropical charm of the region.
The southernmost JR station. Mt Kaimon and Lake Ikeda are close, so if you're in southern Kyushu, these are great places to visit

The view is very nice but it is just an empty train stop. I had no idea it was something special, I just took the train here because it's the closest station to 長崎鼻 (which is definitely worth visiting). I'm sure if you're a train enthusiast it feels more special
Saga S — Google review
As the southernmost station on the main island of Japan, it has become a tourist attraction. As it is an unmanned station, there are no ticket gates and only a simple platform, but when it is time for the train to pass through, tourists gather here from nowhere. Although it is a simple station, Mt. Kaimon is beautifully visible from the platform, so taking a photo with the train makes for a priceless shot. There is a shop near the station where U can purchase souvenirs to commemorate your visit to the southernmost station on the main island of Japan.

We arrived at the southern station 西大山駅of Kagoshima today. Surrounding the station is vegetation fields like cauliflower, pumpkins and white turnips. Wrote a postcard for memories to this place. Next stop is 枕崎駅, the terminus of the southern line.

You've gotta know what you're doing when you head out. It's beautiful for sure but the trains don't run as often as the city so be prepared. There is a store with food and a restroom so you won't starve. There is a ridiculously annoying bell that everybody rings...when we were there, a little kid let loose on it and destroyed the ozone before his parents pulled him off...2019-2024

Too few JR rides there per day. Beside the above suggestions, a ride from kaimon station at 14:08 and a 2-min stop at nishi-oyama station at 14:17 would also be a good idea if you are in a tight schedule visiting 長崎鼻 and 唐船峽.

Beautiful park with lots of flowers, plants and interesting trees. It was my first time to visit here today, but I fell in love with it. So many things to explore here, so if you are coming with family and kids, you definitely won’t be bored for the whole day! Highly recommended!

A botanical garden with tarred paths that wind around through the shady trees and flower beds. A butterfthluse and a tropical hothouse are also interesting. It's really a peaceful place with few visitors midweek. Very helpful staff, evenwith a refund for an extra ticket we bought in error at the machine!

Amazing place to stroll through all kinds of flowers and trees! There are also places to just sit and relax, or for children to play. The grounds are huge though, so in order to see it all, allow for three hours. If you are in a hurry or are not that good on foot, carts can be rented that you can drive through the park.

If you're into plants or with someone into plants, this is worth the one-hour drive from Kagoshima (avoid the toll routes and stick to the coast road... it's a gorgeous ride). Surprisingly large, quite a variety of fauna. Plus there's cool stuff to pop in and see on the way there and they way back.

Hirakiki Shrine, founded in 795, is dedicated to Amaterasu and the eight deities. Its partly Chinese style reflects its location and significance to the Shimazu clan near Satsumasendai Fuji volcano. The red-painted shrine stands out amidst lush greenery, with a remarkable sculpture of Unryu on the worship pillar. The Treasure Hall houses the designated cultural property of Japan, Matsuume Makie comb (Tamatebako).
One the best shrines in the area. Check this one out if you find yourself this far south.

(Translated by Google) Hiraki Shrine is an ancient shrine known as the Ichinomiya of Satsuma Province, located at the southern tip of the Satsuma Peninsula, at the foot of the sacred Mount Kaimon. When I visited the shrine grounds, I was immediately captivated by the imposing presence of the guardian lion dogs. I've seen many lion dogs at shrines around Japan, but I've rarely seen anything as brave and imbued with the power to ward off evil spirits as these. Just standing before them made me stand tall, and I couldn't help but feel that they were perfectly fulfilling their duties as "watchdogs" protecting the purity of the grounds. The main deity enshrined here is Ohirumemuchi-no-Mikoto, another name for Amaterasu Omikami, and Mount Kaimon is worshipped as its sacred mountain. Since ancient times, the shrine has been venerated as the guardian deity of navigation, fishing, and safe transportation, and was a source of spiritual refuge for people involved in trade not only in the Satsuma and Osumi regions, but also as far away as the Ryukyu Islands and the continent. Its history is recorded in the Engishiki Shinmei-cho (Heian period), and its status as a shrine within the Engishiki suggests its reliability. Worship continued unabated from the Middle Ages to the early modern period, and during the Edo period it was particularly revered by the Shimazu clan of the Satsuma domain. It is said that when traveling to and from the Ryukyu Islands, people would always visit Himekami Shrine and pray for safe voyages. As a result, it was a shrine symbolizing southern Satsuma, a key hub for maritime transportation, and was closely linked to the people's lives. Today, it is affectionately known as "Kaimon-sama," and tourists and climbers come to worship here. It is also known as a base for climbing Mount Kaimon, where the ancient worship of the mountain itself continues to this day. The grounds are majestic yet somehow warm, and you can feel the strength of the lion dogs and the divine majesty of Mount Kaimon behind it. Combining the depth of faith backed by a long history with palpable miraculous power, this is truly a famous shrine representing Satsuma.

It offers an opportunity to observe these fascinating creatures up close, known for the male's role in egg-laying. Despite being a 20-minute walk from the nearest station, the journey through picturesque countryside and breathtaking views of the sea and Kaimondake Volcano make it worthwhile.

The park Chiran Heiwa Park boasts a breathtaking garden located at the intersection of the main road. During cherry blossom season, the entire park becomes incredibly beautiful. It is an ideal destination for those interested in learning about Japan's history during World War II, as it houses a noteworthy Peace Museum nearby. The park itself is renowned for its stunning landscaping and is considered a must-visit attraction if you find yourself in Kagoshima.
When I arrived there, it was at 3:30pm and the museum closes at 5:00pm. I was thinking it would be enough but not. As you know, the theme was to heavy and after observing the museum, I was really depressed but it was great to visit. Really. The Kamikaze pilots were in their 10s and 20s. Their smiles were very innocent in their pictures. I don't know they were brain washed or not but of course they couldn't show their true negative feelings in their letters because the letters were censored. A word "Mother" was repeated many many times in their letters. After leaving the museum, I saw some highschool students on the street. Same age group as the young pilots. I didn't want to think if the young students would be sent to a battlefield. Young people are at the mercy of older people's political decisions. Always. Not only the wartime but also now.

However, exertion may be inevitable when journeying from the parking lot to the observation deck.

A typical mountain castle, it was built on a hillside and consisted of a main castle (Honmaru), a second castle, and a third castle, fortified with moats and earthen ramparts. With the consolidation of Satsuma Domain rule in the 17th century, its military use declined, and the castle gradually fell into disuse. Currently, only traces of the stone walls, earthen ramparts, and moats remain at the castle ruins, which have been designated a historical site of Kagoshima Prefecture. From Kagoshima Station, take a bus to the entrance of the Peace Special Agents Museum. You can also take a taxi or walk for about 30 minutes. Buses to and from Kagoshima City are infrequent, so be aware of your travel time. It's recommended to travel by car to experience the charm of Kyushu's southern tip. The slope at the castle entrance is slippery, so exercise caution when ascending. Historical landmark
Kiyomizu Magaibutsu is a significant historical and religious site situated along the Manose River. It features over 200 Buddhist images intricately carved into a rock wall, dating back to the Heian period. Additionally, visitors can marvel at the largest five-story Buddhist stupa in Japan within this serene park setting.
Absolutely beautiful! The surrounding garden is phenomenal and leads up a hill giving spectacular views. Honestly a worthwhile visit

Like the Buddha statues at Tatsukoku Bishamon-do Hall in Hiraizumi-cho, Iwate Prefecture, some of them have been so weathered that they are no longer recognizable. (Translated by Google) I stopped by on my trip to Kyushu. After stopping at the Chiran Special Attack Peace Hall, I parked at the Chiran Branch of Minamikyushu City Hall and visited. Tome Torihama, who was known as the mother of suicide attacks, took care of her soldiers at the Tomiya Shokudo, which has now been restored and is now the Firefly Museum Tomiya Shokudo. Opening hours are 10:00 to 17:00, admission fee is 500 yen for adults, 300 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and it is open all year round. Inside the museum, there are exhibits of belongings belonging to the suicide bombers who did not pass inspection, and you can learn about the anecdotes of the suicide bombers and Mr. Tome. I visited after touring the Chiran Special Attack Peace Hall, so I had a good understanding of the historical background of the time, and I believe that the feelings of the special attack pilots were exactly as written in the letter, but it is difficult for us today to understand. There are some parts that are difficult. However, my feelings for my parents and family were filled with gratitude for raising me and regret that I could not be filial to them, and it hurt my heart. For the soldiers, who were around 20 years old, the Tomiya Shokudo was probably the only place they could relax during their rigorous training. When I came here, I learned that the instructor of the special attack team volunteered to go on the special attack because he couldn't let his students go alone, but he wasn't allowed. This is a sad story of a woman who threw herself and her child in fear. Even now, wars and conflicts are occurring all over the world, but nothing good has come of it, and only more and more sad feelings have arisen. When you come to Chiran, I would like you to see Tokkou Peace Hall and Hotarukan Tomiya Shokudo as a set. The exhibited items are kept supported by the nominal fee to enter the house. It was a special place for the kindness of the owner of the restaurant toward the many young men who were chosen to be kamikaze pilots. The owner became their surrogate mother as they awaited their turn as suicide bombers. Not much is in English, but there are lots of memorabilia that conveys the mood of the times.

Toyotamahime Shrine, located in Chiran, Kagoshima, is a revered site known for its association with the deity of Japan's three major waters of beautiful skin. Visitors have been coming to this shrine for centuries to pray for healing from dermatological diseases and it is believed that the catfish, considered a messenger of the chief deity Toyotamahime, has special significance here.

(Translated by Google) Located in Chiran Town, Minamikyushu City, Toyotamahime Shrine is a historic shrine dedicated to Toyotamahime, the daughter of the sea god. She has long been worshipped as the guardian deity of safe childbirth and safe navigation, and is beloved by locals as a beautiful princess. According to the shrine's history, Toyotamahime passed away after ruling the area, and the locals began worshiping her in honour of her virtue. Her tomb, the Toyotamahime Mausoleum, is located nearby, quietly nestled in a lush forest. The mausoleum is inseparable from the shrine, and a visit offers a sense of the mythical era and the present day mysteriously overlapping. The shrine grounds are enveloped in refreshing air, and a climb up the stone steps leads to the worship hall directly in front. The current main building, completed in 1939, exudes a sense of historic dignity. Every July, the "Satsuma Water Karakuri" (water trick) is dedicated, a precious traditional event designated as a national intangible folk cultural asset. The sight of waterwheel-powered mechanical puppets gracefully moving on stage is a unique ritual rare throughout Japan. Performed at night with lanterns, it's a magical sight that captivates not only worshippers but also tourists alike. Chiran is famous for its samurai residences, but Toyotamahime Shrine and Toyotamahime Tomb are equally impressive places where you can get a feel for the region's history and culture. Recommended for those praying for safe childbirth and safe travels, as well as those interested in mythology and traditional performing arts. This is a unique spot in Chiran, where you can experience the solemn atmosphere of the temple grounds, the tranquility of the tomb, and the splendor of the water mechanized puppets that unfold in the summer, all in one place.

(Translated by Google) This garden is located on the easternmost side of the Chiran Samurai Residences, and is the only garden with a pond in the strolling style, but you cannot enter the area behind the pond. The Mori family was located at the western foot of Kikko Castle, and was a family that supported the feudal lord as a senior vassal, and their residence and storehouse were built in 1741. The curved pond uses strangely shaped rocks to represent mountains and peninsulas in the foreground, and on the other side of the large stones that protrude from the house are hole stones that represent caves, symbolizing the flow of water. The stone on the right side of the garden entrance is the cornerstone of the garden and represents the distant mountain above the clouds. There is a shop on the left after passing through the gate of Moritei, and they serve Chiran tea for free.It was extremely hot on the day I visited, so I was grateful for the refreshing cold tea. Chiran Tennis-nomori Park is a delightful destination that offers more than just tennis courts. Nestled near the scenic Chiran Country, it’s an ideal spot for both sports enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. The park features numerous courts reminiscent of terraced fields, providing ample space for play and relaxation. With its high altitude, the air feels refreshing even during summer months, making it a pleasant escape from the heat of central Kagoshima.

Even in midsummer, it feels cooler than central Kagoshima, but you can still get a sunburn even on cloudy skies. I'm also surprised that the coat here doesn't deteriorate at all. If the ball hits the outside of the fence or into the shrubbery near the bench, it will be difficult to find it. Be careful as the game often gets interrupted and you almost forget to count.
