The National Archaeological Museum in Durres is a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike. Nestled just off the seafront, this modern museum boasts an impressive array of artifacts that tell the story of the region's rich heritage. From exquisite sculptures and delicate gold jewelry to amphoras adorned with barnacles, each piece offers a glimpse into ancient civilizations that once thrived here.
One of the most visited museums in the country, the Archaeological Museum in the ancient coastal city of Durrës is a comprehensive introduction to Albania’s rich history throughout the millennia. The largest museum in the country, the Durrës Archaeological Museum holds some of the most treasured prehistoric and ancient objects in the history of Albania. It is situated by the seaside promenade, the museum offers a journey through the rich history of this very important city by the sea as well as the entire country. Currently is undergoing some renovation.

Good items at display, and I think nice description with every one, so you will like to see all. Nowadays only ground floor is open, they are working on firat floor.
Syed A — Google review
It's beautifully arranged and the entrance fee is only 300 Lek (around 3 euro), unfortunately at the time I have visited, the upper floors were closed for maintenance and new articles prepared for the next exposition.
Lupino725 — Google review
Interesting, but... Only the first floor was open to public. 25 euro seemed a lot for a 20 minute visit. Very hot inside.
Alexander B — Google review
The museum is established in 1951 and it is the largest archaeological museum in Albania. It is not very big so there are plenty of artefacts (mostly pottery) outside of it. Most of the artefacts were found in the nearby ancient site of Dyrrhachium and includes an extensive collection from the Ancient Greek, Hellenistic and Roman periods. If you are in the city, visit this museum.
Daniel H — Google review
I wish there were more exhibits inside the museum, it is kind of small. Very interesting nonetheless - everything is carefully curated and displayed pleasantly.
Jonida K — Google review
Good museum. Quite cheap, so you must visit it. Performs good antique archaeological goods (pods, tools, jewelery), some of which are renovated, the other part is new. Unfortunately, second and third floor of this beautiful museum were closed and I am unable to tell you about them. The overall look of museum is good, it is worth to visit it.

The Venetian Tower of Durrës, also known as "Torra e Durresit," is a significant historical site that reflects the city's rich past and strategic importance. Built in the 15th century by the Venetians on the remains of a Byzantine tower, it stands as a testament to the city's fortified history. Perched atop a hill, Durres Castle offers panoramic views and provides insight into the city's medieval heritage.
I was surprised by this tower. Not very big, but quite beautiful. The surrounding modern pedestrian bridge, the night lighting and the open space make it look even more unique. A perfect and beer pleasant evening walk, with a scoop of gelato from the place next door.
Ognian V — Google review
Durrës Castle is the fortified old city of Durrës, Albania. It is enclosed by city walls built in the late 5th century, and repaired and reinforced in the Middle Ages and early modern periods. Had a nice walk around the tower. The gate is closed though it’s written that it’s open. The area is very cozy, surrounded by many shops, restaurants and cafes. Few steps will let you be near the beach of Durres.
Abu F — Google review
This tower is one of the most beautiful and iconic monuments in the city, an important historical symbol. It is part of the old 15th-century Venetian fortifications. I didn't go inside, but the round structure from the outside is very photogenic. From what I researched, there is a fee to enter.
Luana B — Google review
As a Senior Citizen you get a 50% discount (300 lek) which makes a visit inside good value. Two parts to this attraction, firstly the views from the top of the tower, not that high but still gives another perspective on the surrounding area. Secondly the round room inside with its domed ceiling provides the canvas for a projection of the historic life of the city. Additionally you can use the VR headsets which gives a 360 degree views of different aspects of the Roman city eg Gladiatorial combat.
Miles M — Google review
We went to early so we couldn't get in,as it had a certain entry time, then it was too late on the way back. Really beautiful view at night tho.
Dorcas F — Google review
Close to the beach, not much to see other than the historical respect from outside. Inside they do short video shows which could be worth a view if interested in history
Nabeel M — Google review
Probably the best spot in the city to admire the sjnset. You can't miss this piece pf the history as it's located on the promenade, so you will spot it easily while taking the walk.
Beca S — Google review
A 5 minute video show that consists of some good visuals and a little history, and a dangerously wornout staircase to a tiny open terrace with telescopes that do not work. Don't waste your time, or money.

Historic Sites
Durrës Amphitheatre is a 2nd-century CE Roman amphitheater built by Emperor Trajan, boasting a capacity of 20,000 seats. Located in the heart of Durres, Albania, this historical site offers visitors an authentic glimpse into the ancient past. While exploring the city, travelers can immerse themselves in local culture and reminisce with Albanians about their cherished memories.
Loved this archaeological site that feels very much still in discovery. It was 300 Lek well spent. Signs provide helpful information and background. Guides are available if you want. We enjoyed roaming around and exploring this amazing location that has so much yet to be discovered.
Julie S — Google review
The area is a mess that could easily be cleaned up. The place is beautiful, but it needs a thorough renovation. There are a couple of signs on site describing what you are looking at. The tour duration is about 20 - 30 minutes. In any case, it is a "must see" in Durres
Juraj J — Google review
Didn't go in as most of it can be seen from outside. Looked interesting though. Area is steep with narrow streets so best to walk and not drive. Entry to the site was 300 Lek so not expensive if you wanted to go in.
Stephen J — Google review
Very lovely place, we did not pay entry, nice to walk around. Some steps so be mindful of accessibility. They are still excavating some parts so will be even better in years to come. Not too busy
Isla B — Google review
The amphitheatre is close to the center and just a few minutes walk from the beach. It's a Roman amphiteatre and the largest amphiteatre in the Balkans having a capacity of around 20.000 people at it's peak time. The staff speaks English, payment can be done by cash or card. It's a nice little place to visit. Having some toilets would be really good. Around you will find on the main road shops and places to eat and drink.
Daniel A — Google review
We had a very good visit to the Durres Amphitheater. The historic site is as built in 200AD by the Roman Empire. It has stood the test of time like all Roman structures. The architecture, engineering and workmanship has endured for nearly 2000 years. It’s great to be able to stand and walk around a place that has been around for almost 2 centuries. It was a great experience.
David D — Google review
My visit was a bit disappointing. There is still a lot of renovation needed, and at the moment there isn't much to see. While it's worth a short stop to appreciate its past, don't expect a fully restored monument. The amphitheatre was built in the 2nd century AD during Roman times and once holding up to 20,000 spectators.
Maciej K — Google review
This is an impressive archaeological site, one of the largest Roman amphitheaters in the Balkans, built in the 2nd century AD. Unfortunately, when I tried to visit, it appeared to be closed for visitation or under maintenance, with an abandoned look. From the outside, the view is very limited, and you can't grasp the real scale of the structure, which is partially covered by houses built around it.

The Beach of Durrës is a popular coastal destination that complements the vibrant city. It features a long stretch of golden sand along the Adriatic Sea, making it an ideal spot for beach enthusiasts and water lovers. The beach offers a lively atmosphere with beachfront cafes, water sports, and entertainment options. Visitors can enjoy both relaxation and adventure here. Additionally, the area boasts public and private sections backed by hotels, bars, and eateries.
A beautiful beach with smooth sand and plenty of sunbeds, with the best ones available for 500 ALL a day. It’s less crowded, and there’s ongoing development, including new buildings and extended pathways. I saw many dogs resting in the shade—if you spot one at night, consider feeding them with sausages from the local market. Durrës Beach has great potential and could become a major global tourist destination by 2028.

October is an awesome time to visit a beautiful place! The weather is perfect, and the vibe is super chill. You can relax and enjoy amazing views everywhere you go. There are lots of cool restaurants with great food to try. Plus, you can find awesome travel deals online that include flights. It’s the perfect getaway!
Tanaka T — Google review
Awesome spot at the pier going to bar Hawaii Beach. You can rent two beach chairs and umbrella on the pier for 1000 lek. There is no sand in this part but you have access to the water by using the piers and stairs alongside the pier. The water was the perfect temperature and crystal clear. Also good for children as it’s not too deep the whole extension of the pier. We loved it.
Julia R — Google review
Not very wide beaches. A lot of commercial sunbeds and umbrellas from hotels and local companies. Not much space if you don't want to take sunbeds. Sometimes you have to walk for five or six minutes. The beaches are not very clean, lots of cigarette butts. There are also wasps. The sea is warm and shallow near the coast. You have to walk min 20 meters to get to the depth.
Maryna B — Google review
Extensive coastline. The sand along the water was not super clean and felt the water was not super clean either because of all the people and the industrial area/Marina to the northwest. Extensive umbrella and chair rentals. Tip: go during the week as they raise the rental prices for these items on the weekend. The beach is wider on the North end and gets skinnier at the South end. However the water may be cleaner the further you get from the marina.
Linda R — Google review
I think this town in Albania has a lot of potential to be a good tourist spot. The sea is calm and pleasantly dotted with shops and places to eat or drink. Historical sites are near by. Currently, I saw mostly families here but there is a potential for single people to have a good time as well. Just a slower town than Tirana.
John B — Google review
Beautiful beach with plenty of seating. The water was clear and warm, and the gentle waves were perfect for the kids. There were lots of seaside dining options with great views. The promenade made for a lovely walk, and the atmosphere at night was lively and pleasant

Byzantine Forum in Durrës was the bustling center of the city back in the 6th Century AD. Although not well-preserved, it still stands as a monumental place with its ancient artifacts and structures. The Byzantine Market within the forum is a sight to behold, but there are calls for more investment in maintaining these historical treasures. Despite being visible from the street, there's potential for local authorities to better utilize this significant site.
One of the most historical places in the ancient city of Durrës (Durrahium, Δυρράχιο) A trading center where citizens from all over the world came to buy, including aristocrats, princes and kings, biblical saints and personalities of art, music, painting and iconography. The Byzantine market was the main place for receiving and giving news from east to west and from north to south. One of the places where the Orthodox Christian faith was preached to open the eyes of the mind and soul of people living under the darkness of paganism. Walking through the Byzantine market, it is impossible not to feel the grace of the golden times when the city of Durrës was the Capital of Knowledge and Spiritual and Commercial Wealth that connected the East with the West from Jerusalem to Constantinople to Durres and then to Rome and all of Europe. The same feeling can be felt when visiting the Amfiteatër, the Castle Walls, the Torra of Durrës, Kavaja Rock and more. The keeper of the ancient treasures of Durrës, Vangjel Toçi, did his utmost to preserve the ancient treasures of the city by personally sacrificing himself in their maintenance, often without pay. After his death, local governments corrupted by anti-Albanian enterprises and against the true history of the city have tried and worked to destroy and ruin it. Illegal constructions have been made without any care on major works of history, culture and glorious nature of the city, which has been written about all over the world. Unfortunately, the migration of more than 80% of Durrës residents abroad and the influx of the population from northern Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and foreigners who have no knowledge of the city's history and culture nor interest in financing the maintenance of cultural and historical objects, have transformed the city into an ugly block of buildings without any aesthetics, a structure that respects the history, culture and nature of the city, including the coast that was once wide and endless where the eye, soul and mind found peace in that fabulous richness where along it there were pine forests where ocean turtles came and took shelter in the summer to give birth to their young. This is what Durrës was like 50-40-30 years ago. Therefore, I call on every citizen who has the heart, the will and the desire to preserve the values of the city to stand up and strive for it. This will give more value to every citizen. Fight corruption together as the people of Durrës did in the past years. Preserve and transmit the dialect, songs and dances as well as the names of Durrës: Taulanti, Teuta, Pirro, Agron, Asti, Vlashi, and many others as part of yours and a priceless heritage. With longing and tears - Teuta ❤️
Faith V — Google review
The ruins of an old forum. They are badly maintained, there is graffiti everywhere. This lastest centuries only for a lot of it to be neglected in recent years. Literally saw garbage inside. A lot of renovation is being done around Durres, so they can restore it hopefully.

Nice little spot to check out if you’re nearby. You’ll come across it just walking down the street — it’s not very visible, but easy to spot if you’re looking. There’s no entrance fee, as you view the entire site from the sidewalk. Worth a quick stop, especially if you’re in the area. Plus, there are some great places for ice cream and coffee nearby!

The Great Mosque of Durrës, originally constructed in 1938 by Italian architects, has a rich history. It was repurposed as a youth center during the communist era and suffered interior damage. Despite being overshadowed by Tirana, Durres holds significance for many Albanians. The mosque stands out with its intricate design and graceful minaret, set against the backdrop of the Roman Amphitheatre.
Nice place. Clean and peaceful.

Such a beautiful mosque in the middle of Durres city. Many people mistake thinking that this is Fatih Mosque. Located in front of Shatervani which has some nice fountains. The mosque is so nice and big. Cool listening to Azan while in Durres.
Abu F — Google review
A truly large and imposing mosque, which stands out in the urban landscape. It is located in front of a large and well-kept main square, which further enhances its modern architecture. I didn't go inside, but the exterior view is very beautiful, especially the minaret and the dome. Visitation for tourists is usually free outside of prayer times.
Luana B — Google review
The outside of the mosque is nice, it sits over the main square and is a main feature. Great picture of it from the fountains in the middle of the square. Didn't go inside, not sure if it's open. It's a modern mosque though.

Beatuful mosque for muslims But i feel very when i see that people only come for jumma prayer Like jumma prayer all 5 salah is obligatory So being a muslim we must do some effort and do some sacrifice to give dawah to people tell them about the benefit of salah so the people start coming mosque all 5 time May Allah give taufeeq to all muslims .... And if we cannot take out time We can make dua for all muslims ....

Durrës Beach, a gem along Albania's Adriatic coast, is celebrated for its expansive stretch of golden sands and vibrant atmosphere. This popular destination attracts both locals and visitors alike, thanks to its array of bars, restaurants, and water sports options. Just a short stroll from the city center, it offers an ideal setting for relaxation or adventure.
Durres beach is very nice and you will really enjoy it. At daytime find a good spot at the beach and choose a good spot to get your beach on! In the evening its also alive and you can enjoy a lot of stuff. From eating good food or lounge with live music to live street entertainment or a beautiful red moon. Love to come back again!

I was visiting the beach at the beginning of April and during a somewhat colder week. The beach looked nice but the sand was rather hard. I can imagine it's much better during summer months as not many shops and restaurants were open at this time. Great walkway though.
Marcin W — Google review
This is one of the gems of the world that no one talks about. Beautiful beaches. Lots of hotels, restaurants and other things that you would expect on a busy beach of the world... But at half the price or less.. the beaches are amazing. Albania has done so much to try and get tourism that it is so affordable. People here do speak English since it is a universal language. Most businesses take credit cards, but you can also pay in euros as well as local currency... It is an enjoyable getaway..... Every sunset has been magical.
Jeff B — Google review
It is a very long sandy beach with free access, featuring a long promenade along the entire shore. When I visited, the weather was cold, so it wasn't possible to go into the sea, but the water appeared to be clean. The promenade is quite busy, but it seems the area as a whole would benefit from revitalization, more cleaning, and better maintenance of the infrastructure to live up to its tourist potential.
Luana B — Google review
Went to Durres Beach at Friday 20th June 2025 during my last day in Tirana. Lots of people came during this extremely hot day. When you even go into the salt-water to go really far for a couple of times (which is what I did) you feel an indefinite amount of scratching which feels like it never goes away and you definitely need a towel and spare changing clothes. You can take nice photos with amazing views from here though.

Durrës is a fantastic place that perfectly combines rich history, stunning coastal views, and a lively atmosphere. Overlooking the Adriatic Sea, the city offers breathtaking scenery, especially during sunset when the sky turns shades of orange and pink above the calm blue waters. The Durrës Beach is wide, sandy, and ideal for a relaxing walk or a swim on a warm day. Along the promenade, palm trees and seaside cafés create a vibrant yet peaceful setting for visitors. Beyond its beautiful coastline, Durrës also holds deep historical significance. The ancient amphitheater, one of the largest in the Balkans, gives a glimpse into the city’s Roman past. Nearby, the archaeological museum showcases fascinating artifacts that tell the story of Durrës through the centuries. The city center is full of charm, with narrow streets, friendly locals, and great restaurants serving delicious Albanian seafood dishes

November is nice and quiet time on the beach. The water was 20°c and the sun was strong. Lots of various shops, restaurants and places to lounge up and down the beach. We did even see a pop up market where we got an adorable wool parka. It's quite the long beach but exploring it 😊 makes the day 🍻

Durrës Beach: Sandy Shores, Family Fun, and a Jellyfish Warning! 🏖️ 🪼 We spent a few days here in early July. It's a wide, sandy beach that wasn't crowded at all during this period, which was a pleasant surprise. Personally, I prefer the more intimate, pebbly coves of the Riviera, but the beach in Durrës is clean and offers a classic seaside holiday experience. It's worth knowing that due to the sandy bottom, the water isn't as crystal-clear as it is in the south. An important heads-up for visitors in early July: there were quite a lot of jellyfish in the water. Their stings were light but unpleasant, so it's something to be aware of, especially when traveling with children. The long promenade is a great feature. There are plenty of sections with paid sunbeds and umbrellas; we found it very convenient to use the ones provided by our hotel, Hotel Adriatik 2. Where to Eat Near the Beach and our hotel? There are many good restaurants in the area. We can recommend two: * For a Great-Value Family Meal: Arberia Restaurant. The grilled calamari and octopus were delicious, and the kids' pizza was a hit. * For a More High-End Seafood Dinner: Zen Seaside Restaurant. The food was fantastic (we recommend the octopus and the salmon tartare), and beautifully presented. (Our stay in Durrës was our base for exploring central Albania during our 2025 road trip. For the full itinerary, find my summary review of Skanderbeg Square in Tirana!)

Sfinksi is a trendy and laid-back spot in Tirana that offers a delightful experience for visitors. Whether you're there for brunch, lunch, or a late-night hangout, the food is seriously delicious with mouthwatering burgers and drool-worthy pasta dishes. The cocktails are heavenly too. In Durres, Sfinksi provides a picturesque concrete platform on the shore where visitors can enjoy stunning sea views and breathtaking sunsets.
Sfinksi is a very atmospheric place in Durres that immediately attracts attention with its unusual appearance. It is located right on the waterfront, and it offers a magnificent view of the sea. It is especially beautiful here in the evening when the sun goes below the horizon, painting the sky in bright colors. The place has an interesting architecture - massive stone structures resemble ancient ruins, which adds a special charm. A lot of people often gather here: some just walk, some sit in a nearby cafe, and others listen to music or take pictures. The atmosphere here is very lively, especially in summer. The only drawback is that sometimes there are too many tourists here, especially in season, so if you want a quiet walk, it's better to come early. Also, sometimes the service in local cafes may not be very fast, but in general it does not spoil the impression. If you're in Durres, I recommend coming here for at least a short walk. It's a nice place to relax, take nice photos, and just enjoy the sea view 🙂

The Vollga Promenade in Durres is a must-visit destination that beautifully captures the essence of this vibrant city. Stretching an impressive 17,744 meters along the Adriatic Sea, it offers a delightful walking experience, especially enchanting after sunset when the area buzzes with life. Stalls and rides line the promenade, attracting visitors of all ages who gather to enjoy leisurely evening strolls known as "xhiro.
an incredibly beautiful embankment on one of the shores of the Adriatic Sea. Walking in such a place is a real pleasure! How good it is to simply enjoy this beauty, created by the «hands of the Creator». How interesting it is to watch the crowds of tourists, all so different, from different parts of the world. Dining with a view of the magnificent sea is just a fairy tale! Thank you, Durres!❤️

Nice waterfront and concrete park that will be even more expanded by concrete, but it looks good and has some interesting artworks to take photos of on a sunset. Just doesn't seem natural somehow. One of the three things I kinda-liked about Durras/Dracu/Drach
Marin K — Google review
Long wide promenade good for walking. There are a few sculptures/art works along the route and several basketball courts & play area. Restaurants next to the promenade and on the piers at the far end. The concrete pathway is bounded by the beach on one side and green area on the other but it would be nice to have a bit more shade and benches where you could sit.

Such a great place to enjoy with friends and family. Long pedestrian street, filled with souvenirs, cafes, bars, restaurants, locals and to. The end of this street leads to the shore where another great experience may start.

Lovely walk along Vollga promenade in the sunshine as the sun set ..enjoyed a delicious soup and pizza ..lots of atmosphere many people enjoying the park and cafes ..worth a visit when in Durres

It would be great if it wouldn't be devastated by the locals. The children's parks only have broken parts and it's very dirty. Other than that, the view is nice, the palm trees are beautiful and the beach is small.
Mihai G — Google review
Very nice to walk, go to beack or shop. You have a nice view and doesn't matter if you go during night or day because it spreads a wonderful vacation feeling. If you visit Durres then is a must but there is not otherwise because all the streets lead you hat way.

I booked the apartment for three people, but one of my friends could not come due to a different schedule, so only two of us stayed in the apartment. It was absolutely ridiculous that while I was taking a nap, I received a missed call and then a message from the host saying that a neighbor complained I had allowed strangers into the apartment, and he threatened me to leave without even verifying or asking me whether it was true. Of course, there was no evidence, because that simply never happened. We are two foreign girls visiting Albania for the first time—how could we possibly know anyone here to bring them into the apartment? Does he even think about that? I am certain he mistook me for someone else, but it is completely unacceptable that he did not verify with me as a guest, relied only on hearsay without proof, and then threatened me. Until now, I have still not received an apology or clarification from him. The apartment I rented has two bedrooms, but neither of them has a fan or air conditioning. Most of the doors are damaged, which makes us, as two girls, feel unsafe when sleeping. The house is very old and smells unpleasant. The bathroom is dirty and smelly, and the water system is outdated and extremely noisy. Overall, I had a terrible experience here—both in terms of service and the poor, run-down condition of the apartment.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing evening or a delightful meal, this bistro promises an unforgettable experience with its diverse menu and inviting atmosphere.
Maby the best restaurant in Durres. The food here was amazing (specially the creamy truffle saus to the beef). Relaxing music, and a nice area both inside and outside. It can be quite busy at times, so you might want to reserve a table. Very low prices compared to the quality of the food and place, witch is Five stars easily.

Everything was fantastic, until the cheesecake. It had an artificial berry flavor that didn’t resemble a real cheesecake at all. Such a disappointment, especially since the rest of the food was excellent. We were hoping to end on a high note, but the dessert unfortunately let us down.
Lea S — Google review
Portiku is nice if you want to have a non-other culinary experience. And when this is combined with a nice decor, where the ancient meets the present, it becomes a marvellous combination. 5/5

Amazing! The service and the food was excellent. We got to pick from a selection of fresh sea food, and they prepared and decorated it deliciously! We also got recommended a great local wine to go with it🥰 Definitely recommend!
Marte A — Google review
Exceptional service, food and wine. We decided on Portiku for our Friday lazy lunch and it exceeded our expectations. If you are a meat lover this is the place for you. From the excellent wine list, warm and friendly service to the mouthwatering food, we chose this restaurant for the steak (and of course the wine) and it was incredible. We felt at home and we received more Albanian generosity and kindness, we definitely enjoyed our lazy lunch!! We kicked off with some delicious champagne, as we ordered steak we were happy to see they also had a selection of half bottles, so we enjoyed a delicious red wine. The restaurant is surrounded by the original city wall, it runs straight through the restaurant. you even have glass-covered floors to enjoy the historical digs. Highly recommend dining at Portiku, a very special place in Durres and the food was a culinary journey.

Service was okay, not excellent. Bossy employee argued with colleagues. The owner of the place should manage her. She’s is a problem on the work floor. Not nice to eat while arguing Ordered 3 of fish as starter only 2 on the plate without notice. Ordered steak with truffle. Truffle seems to be out of stock. It’s high end price but average service and food With 1 star I am being gently

What a disaster. The service was the worst, I ever had. Unacceptable waiting times for everything. The meals were okay, not more. The third wine bottle were acceptable. The bill was wrong. We would never recommend other guests to join that restaurant. Sorry for the clear announcement…

Wonderful night out in Durres! Extensive wine list and I highly recommend trying Albanian wines. Great atmosphere with what maybe an old Venetian wall within the building and occasionally has live music. The starter was superb with creamy goat cheese almond cakes spread on top of toast with tart wild berry jam. Wild venison with potatoes croquettes was perfectly cooked and tasty. Grilled vegetable were plentiful and the chocolate soufflé was just right to finish off the night. English speaking staff available.

A place to celebrate milestones♥️🎉 We came to Durrës from the Netherlands and were recommended to try Meison—and what a wonderful suggestion it was! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine smiles. The portions were generous, the food was incredibly fresh and delicious (especially the fish!), but what truly stood out was the atmosphere and the people. It was our first night in Durrës and also a very special occasion—my birthday. Without me knowing, my daughter had arranged a surprise cake. The team celebrated with music and joyful energy, making it one of the most memorable birthdays I’ve ever had. A special thank you to Alisa, whose kindness and energy added so much joy to our evening. She truly made us feel like family. We left Meison with full hearts and big smiles. Every time I passed by during our stay, I felt that same warmth again. Thank you for making our night so special. Highly, highly recommended—not just for the amazing food, but for the unforgettable hospitality. Thank you Meison, Thank you Alisa✨🌺

Here’s your review in English: ⸻ We visited this restaurant twice in just 10 days – and that really says it all! From appetizers to dessert, every single dish was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding – friendly, attentive, and warm. We felt completely comfortable and welcome. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place!

The decor inside is comfortable, modern, and clean. We started with a Village Salad that was generous for two people and a great blend of colorful tomato, peppers, red onions, cheese, and black olives. We shared an order of fried squid and vegetable and shrimp linguine - plenty for two. It was freshly prepared and delicious. We were surprised that Tiramisu was added to the menu and so we tried it - lovely choice, especially if you like pistachio as the star. We would come back for sure!

I had a truly wonderful experience at this restaurant. The place is beautiful and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They specialize in seafood, and what makes it outstanding is that the owner has his own fishing boat – so everything served here is incredibly fresh. Alicia, who assisted me, was extremely polite and professional. She helped me choose the perfect dishes with great knowledge and attention to detail. I tried the Albanian-style seafood salad and a traditional seafood platter, both of which were absolutely delicious and prepared to perfection. If you love seafood, I highly recommend this place. Fresh fish, authentic flavors, and excellent service – it really delivers an unforgettable dining experience. Definitely one of the best seafood experiences I’ve had in Albania!

Nestled along the stunning coastline of Durres, King Zog Villa stands as a poignant reminder of Albania's royal past. Once the summer retreat for King Zog and his family, this villa is steeped in early 20th-century history. Although it currently shows signs of neglect, its grand architecture and expansive views over the beach are captivating. Visitors can explore its exterior and surrounding park, which offer a glimpse into its former glory.
Though the walk up the mountain was tiring, it was well worth it for the spectacular views at the top in front of the villa. It cost €3 to go in, and while the villa itself isn’t in great condition inside, it doesn’t take much imagination to see it must have been an amazing residence. There are multiple balconies, each with beautiful views of the Adriatic. I hope that it does get restored soon, as it would be such an amazing piece of history to be able to see what it would have been like when in use.
Laura B — Google review
Sad to see what would have once been a beautiful villa in such decay. Not really anything to see in the abandoned rooms but I believe this place will be restored to it's former glory in the years ahead. Good views from the villa balcony down towards the town.
Miles M — Google review
It’s hard to find words for the state of King Zog’s former villa. Once a proud landmark, it now stands abandoned and crumbling on one of Durrës’ most beautiful hilltops. The view is stunning, but the villa itself is in a heartbreaking state of decay. From what I’ve heard, unclear ownership has left it without care or purpose. Entry is €3, but there’s no real ticketing system and it’s unclear where the money goes. Worth a visit only if you’re curious about faded grandeur – just don’t expect much beyond the view and a sense of loss.

.....best historical place you can visit when in Durrës. Read something regarding its history first. You can enjoy fantastic view also....

Rush and go see this piece of history before it is gone...in the early 1900s this was a beautiful villa. After the fall of Communism, rioter stripped it. It has no doors or windows and open to elements. It is rotting and may not be here in a few years. It is Amazing... And the view is stunning....
Jeff B — Google review
One of the best places I’ve ever visited!!! Love the dilapidated state the building is in, no fake restaurations, just original total wear and tear. As we there were less than 10 visitors in total, we had all the time in the world to explore. Definitely worth the visit, totally recommend!! Well worth the walk uphill, approx 20 mins. Great views from the balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floor👍🏻🤩
Leen W — Google review
Unfortunately, the palace is not officially open. Although , it could become a wonderful museum for visitors. There is potential for development.
Maryna B — Google review
The history of the Villa is insanely cool and the views are the best, however the villa isn’t kept after at all. Yes it’s an abandoned villa but even for being abandoned it could use more safety, for example it’s a 4 story or so building but the old elevator shaft is completely wide open. If you have any animals or young kids they could easily fall if they aren’t being careful.

It is not really worth the visit. Tasting was really quick, we did not had a chance to taste it all. Drinking water Run out on tasting and was not filled up. Very disorganized. Historical landmark
The City Wall of Durrës, with its well-preserved segments, provides a fascinating insight into the city's rich history. From its origins in Roman times to the Byzantine and Medieval periods, these walls have endured through various historical eras. Despite facing challenges such as vehicular traffic and litter in some areas, the ancient structure remains an important testament to Durrës' past.
(Translated by Google) The city of Durrës has very long sections of well-preserved city walls dating back to Byzantine times. Unfortunately, numerous armed conflicts and earthquakes contributed to their extensive damage and destruction. During the Ottoman and Venetian times, the walls were strengthened and partially expanded. Currently, they are a tourist attraction, being an important element of the city's history. Consider 2 options, which are, you have some interest in 5th century walls or you're on your way home after an, ever so slightly heavy night out. Either way, these Byzantine walls will hold some interest for you if you're passing. Doing my historical guide bit...the walls were built by a Durres local, back in 400AD something making Durres one of the most fortified cities on the Adriatic at the time. They were originally 12 metres high and wide enough to ride 4 horses side by side over the top of. Question is, how do you get the horses up there and why would you want to...unless you're the four horsemen of the apocalypse...but then that would be a peculiar sight, I guess. Anyway, thanks to the odd earthquake, Roman siege engine, Bulgarians, Normans, Angevins and Venetians, the things are now a mere shadow of themselves but they're hanging on in there. I could go on but I appreciate people have a short attention span these days....the pin number to my bank card is 4352. Anyway, it is history, which is marvellous but it's no Stonehenge, ie it wasn't a pile of rocks lying on the ground and rebuilt in the 1950s, to how it was thought to look...in the olden days. Honestly, look it up.

Nice restaurant where you can try some Asian dishes. I had salmon nigiri with tempura. Sushi could be a bit more tastier and a bit bigger but at the end you can't find in Durres a lot of these dishes. Tempura was nice and crispy. I would recommend everyone to come and to give it a try. And for the end some music would be nice just to have a feeling that you are in a restaurant

My experience at this restaurant left me with mixed feelings. While the service was excellent and the atmosphere was enjoyable, the food fell short of expectations. The seafood salad was below average, with preserved seafood that was difficult to chew, paired with an overly acidic sauce. The tom yam soup contained only two shrimps. The seafood pizza was just about edible. Despite these disappointments, I appreciated the nice atmosphere and enjoyed sitting outside. Overall, I would rate the restaurant three stars primarily for the service and atmosphere, but it would have been two stars if not for those aspects.

Beautiful location and the dishes are nice — overall okay. Prices are good too. But the service is super slow, not very clean, and a bit unfriendly. Every time I went, I had to wait around 20 minutes for the next step or just to be noticed at all. Even paying the bill takes ages. Meanwhile, the staff prefers to stand in the corner and chat, even when the restaurant is empty. They even forget orders completely. But then charging extra service fees really topped it off. Sorry, that’s just not nice.

Restaurant has an amazing view and fantastic food. Abundant choice of seafood dishes. Everything was super fresh. Don’t worry about dish sizes. Best choice for sunset. Service is friendly, even though their english is limited, but as anywhere else its easy to find common points of interaction. We received a soft refreshing drink compliment. Found this place on Google whilst searching for a place to dine on our last day in Albania, Durres for a good spot for sunset views. Since we visited in May during the low season, we were the only table in the restaurant and 1 other table in a huge restaurant.. the sunset was beautiful. Unfortunately, it was a little cloudy that day so not so much of a clear view but good enough across the wide glass windows. There was no drinks menu which was a little strange so no cocktails. We had to ask what wines there were available and got a bottle. Food was nice. However, not great service as there was staff but no one was around to serve us or check up on us. We poured our own wines, when we wanted to order more drinks or food, we had to look and call for someone. Would have been nice to check on us once or twice and the plates and dishes we finished eating were still sitting on the table, so when they brought out more dishes, they had to place them on an empty table next to us first, move our dishes and bring over the new dishes. Overall, we weren't fussy but it would have been nice.

Hands down one of the best restaurants if not the best restaurant I have been to in Albania. The food is very fresh and deliciously prepared, accompanied by amazing service and a tremendous sea view. The prices are also great for the quality of this restaurant. I have already visited it twice in my last two visits to Durres and I wasn't disappointed. Highly, highly recommend.
Gásten S — Google review
It looked ok when we just came, but two things have completely destroyed the experience that could be good: 1) seafood was served as is and without any tools to eat lobsters and crabs — so it was an awful experience because mainly you can eat only shrimps 2) the waiter seemed professional at first, no small talks or something special, just was doing it work. Then, a British couple has sat the table nearby, and the whole focus was switched to them: asking where they are from, taking pictures of them, and “pure interest”, very lovely. Another waiter started serving us instead, but it was hilarious to look how the person has changed his approach after indicating more wealthy London people ;D The conclusion is probably you will be satisfied if you show that you can give a nice tip. The food is average, and we just couldn’t enjoy it due to no proper cutlery.

Nice restaurant with a view in Durrës. We tried Pasta, Risotto, fish and pizza as well as dessert. Everything was tasty and fresh. I like their open kitchen. Service was fast and professional. Prices are allright as well.

Food delicious, view outstanding. But I hate when sb tries to trick me putting things I did not order to the bill. The amount of money wasn't enormous, we would have left the money as a tip anyway, but ... We didn't hear any apologies for the situation or anything else, the waiter was mute giving the change. The management should train the staff better. Sorry. Otherwise I would recommend the place full heartedly!

Only if someone visits the Arthur restaurant can you understand the taste pleasure of the dishes. An explosion on the palate, each dish is worth every pleasure. The service was excellent in every way, polite and wonderful attire. The atmosphere was very warm and wonderful decorations, the place was very clean, which is important, white and gold details that made the difference. In short, the Arthur restaurant was amazing. Many congratulations to the chef of the kitchen for his excellent dishes. And many congratulations to the owners of the restaurant. Thank you very much

Stopped in for lunch at this elegant seaside restaurant with a great view. They had a beautiful selection of fresh seafood on display, which set the tone nicely. The raw seafood platter was excellent, the salt-baked fish full of flavor, and the fried red mullet was simply outstanding. Add to that a solid wine list, attentive service, and even a perfectly ripe fruit plate to finish—it all made for a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Wonderful experience, highly recommended. Our waiter didn’t speak English but we managed to communicate in our basic Italian. Decor was beautiful, menu was interesting. Everything we ordered was tasty. Views were nice. Prices acceptable. Service good

Great spot with lovely views! We had a really nice time at Artur Restaurant. The views were nice and the restaurant + bathroom were clean. We ordered the sea bream, salmon tartar, fried squid, oysters, and mussels. A few of the items on the menu weren’t available (like the haddock and tuna tartar but they did have a salmon tartar instead). The salmon tartar wasn’t my favorite, but everything else more than made up for it. The oysters were delicious, the squid was perfectly fried, and the mussels were full of flavor—definitely the highlights of the meal. The service was also really nice and delightful:)

Really good meal, highly recommend. Prices were incredible. Service was incredible. Lovely decor. The toast was tasty with the cheese, we liked it a lot. Octopus, salad and fried fish were nice, as were the desserts. We never had chance to try more things from the menu, wish we had

The view of the boardwalk is superb! The atmosphere is inviting and... The food is delicious. If you're a tourist, note this is a fish-first restaurant that serves fish, with pasta, you won't find many of your "regular" pasta dishes here, but there are some. If you like seafood pasta, this is your spot! 🐟 🥧 The pasta is just the right level of al dente. The sauce was a great consistency and taste! The fish was super fresh. The servers were great. Everyone who came to our table knew at least some English and was very kind answering questions, explaining dishes we hadn't tried before. Two small concerns we had: Food came out at different times for different table members (starters / mains). We'd planned on sharing some dishes to try so this made it a bit awkward. Communicating allergies - they did great, no epi pen required, but it took some work to get there. But for an overall experience, we'd highly recommend it.

Even though we arrived before the official opening time (which, by the way, is different on Google than in reality), we were warmly welcomed and seated at probably the best table in the place – with a beautiful view of the sea. We were immediately served water and a small appetizer, and within minutes came the fried seafood – possibly the best I’ve ever had in my life. Truly fantastic flavor, freshness, and preparation. The other two dishes – risotto and black tagliatelle – were also excellent, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. We’re sending 5 stars to the restaurant and thank the team for a truly pleasant experience. Amazing food, lovely setting, and kind staff – highly recommended!

An unforgettable dining experience at Pastarella! We had dinner here tonight and it was truly amazing. The food was top-notch—especially the grilled squid, which was fresh, tender, and flavorful. It was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented—easily one of the best seafood dishes I’ve ever had. A big thank you to our waiter, Clyde, who was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. He took the time to explain the menu, make great recommendations, and make sure we had everything we needed with a smile. His service made the experience even better. I highly recommend this place if you’re in Durrës—come for the food, stay for the view, and leave impressed by the service. We’ll definitely be back!

Great restaurant on 3rd floor with private elevator from the street. Delicious house red wine, pasta, salad, etc. The view is the best part - open breezy windows to look out at the promenade and sea - reserve for sunset to see pink clouds ☁️ and be sure to dress up a bit!

I went to Durres for day trip. Being an Adriatic sea city, I definitely must have seafood. This restaurant is named fish restaurant, so I supposed is professional. Indeed it's good quality fresh fish & well cooked. I had the recommended best & most expensive fish, wild Gilt head, Lek7500/kg. The restaurant is 5-star atmosphere, service is standard.

Restaurant
Restorant Rifat Peshkatari is a simple and welcoming seafood restaurant located on the seaside promenade near the Dajlani Bridge. It offers a great balance between quality and price, with delicious individual seafood dishes such as mussels and shrimps being highly recommended. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Customers have praised the chef's specialty of oven-baked seafood cooked under a crust, as well as the amazing casseroles.
This might be an hidden gem. It's between the main road and the seaside. The decor is boat themed. Think fishnets hanging from the ceiling with seashells and fishshaped hangers, lots of wooden things and some posters depicting the adriatic fish types. The food is excellent, we accompanied it with a lovely house white wine, cold and crisp. We tried a selection of the raw seafood, it was amazing. Everything was tasty and fresh. We followed up with both the grilled fish platter and the fried fish platter bothe were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking to taste some amazingly fresh seafood I did not manage to take many pics as we all digged into the food I should also add that the place was packed, we arrived around 8.30pm on a Friday evening and the staff informed us that a table would be available after 30 minutes. We went for a walk and after that time out table was ready. The service was also really nice
Melany G — Google review
The grilled fish was decent, and the fried scallop and prawn were quite nice. However, the fried octopus lacked flavour. I requested grilled swordfish and lobster, but unfortunately, they weren’t available at the time.
Abdul K — Google review
I’m genuinely disappointed to say this was one of the worst seafood experiences my family and I have ever had. The soup was a disaster — bland, watery, and completely unappetizing. Honestly, I wouldn’t even classify it as food. The seafood spaghetti was no better. The mussels had a strange, off-putting taste, and the seafood overall was clearly of the lowest quality. It didn’t taste fresh at all — just rubbery and flavorless. For a restaurant that’s supposed to specialize in seafood, this was unacceptable. It’s sad to see how much this place has declined. We expected a decent meal, but left disappointed and frustrated. I truly hope they take this feedback seriously and make real changes.

Great place to eat. There is a chef's local, specialty there of oven baked seafood cooked under a crust, its the best dish i ve had in albania. The "casseroles" are amazing. Prices are affordable and owner is really nice. There is also a terrace with huge parasols that make this place really comfortable... And its 2 min walking distance from the sea, at the very begining of the beach!

We wanted to try tave from menu we found here at Google. The waiter gave us only 2 menu - for 4 person and wasn't to kind from the begging. I've asked about tave - we wanted to try this dish - because it wasnt in English menu. The man said that this dish is in albanian menu - I think it's weird that they have different menu for locals and for tourists. When we get response that there is no meat in menu our friends left, but me and my sister stayed and wanted to order. Four waiters was standing at the bar and none of them came to take an order. When I thought that it will finnaly happen the guy turn back, get cigarrets and go out of the restaurant. That was to much, the locals was almost empty, no one treat us seriously so we left. Wish you luck with this kind of behavour. I can't rate the food because we didn't try it, but the decoration was nice.

New statue! Gorgeous views inside and out. Went for breakfast with friends, good petulla. Spectacular pricing for this type of establishment. Very nice place, risotto was excellent, good music. The service was fast at the beginning but after we finished the main courses it was very difficult to get the attention back of the waitress. We have waited a lot to ask for the desserts.

In the menu 3 items were out of stock. They served the ordered wine without degustation. I was served squids and shrimps dish with three shrimps fried head. I claimed about it and the manager came saying that I probably ate them and I was cheating him.... The music was so loud and so on terrible and expensive dinner.

Aqua is one of those places that instantly makes you feel like you’re treating yourself. The cocktails were fresh, colorful, and perfectly balanced not too sweet, not too strong, just right for sipping slowly while enjoying the atmosphere. The food was just as impressive. The salad came packed with fresh greens, citrus slices, and a touch of sweetness from fruit, making it light but full of flavor. The cold appetiser was the highlight beautifully presented with prawns, citrus, strawberries, and a drizzle of olive oil that tied everything together. It tasted as good as it looked: fresh, vibrant, and perfect with a glass of chilled white wine. Friendly staff, stylish setting, and a menu that actually delivers.

This is Tiranas Dangelo but with a different location. I had a combination of a Chicken Crepe topped with Nutella, although it wasn't the authentic Nutella, it still tasted good. I did not order both Lidia and Chicken crepes, just the Chicken one with Nutella on top (which may sound strange). Interestingly, the waiter and two chefs seemed surprised and had to confirm my order three times even though I had already given it to them.

This is Tirana’s D’angelo but with a different setting. I had a mix of a Chicken Crepe with Nutella on Top. It wasn’t the best as it wasn’t actual Nutella but it was good. And NO I didn’t order a Lidia and a Chicken. Just a Chicken with Nutella on top 😅 (weird?) 😂 Funny thing: the waiter and 2 chefs had to come and ask for my order 3 times after I had given it to them already as they couldn’t believe it 😅. The decor and ambience is good, and the coffee was good. I ordered the crepes and it was ok and it was thick and tasted more like pancakes. The wafflw and fruits were not good and some of the fruit was still frozen, and the syrup was definitely not Nutella or any hazelnut spread for that matter.

Historical landmark
The Concrete Bunkers of Albania are a unique and intriguing sight to behold, with around 750,000 of these structures scattered throughout the country. Initially built as defensive hideouts during Hoxha's regime, they now serve as a reminder of Albania's past under severe dictatorship. Despite their historical significance, these bunkers have become an unexpected tourist attraction, offering visitors the opportunity to explore and photograph them.
CONCRETE BUNKERS OF ALBANIA= Before a war defensive hideout-lookout now a tourist attraction. These bunkers are easily recognizable upon entering the boundary of Albania. There are eventually 175- 750 thousands of them . They look like Wild Mushrooms sprouting out from all over the grounds. Although these remind them of the past severe dictatorship and tragedies experienced by the people but presently these Bunkers became a part of their history. Some were removed because it destroys the natural landscapes but some were used as shelter, Cafe, souvenir store, pizza house, stock rooms or even lovers hide away.
Kharmencita B — Google review
A fabulous area for a mini hike and great city and ocean views. Better than the officially designated balcony in my opinion.

Beach
Ohana Beach, located just 15 km north of Durres, offers a serene escape from the bustling crowds typically found at more popular beaches. This charming spot is characterized by its golden sands and tranquil waters, making it perfect for those seeking relaxation. With only a few umbrellas and sunbeds available for rent, visitors can enjoy a peaceful day soaking up the sun without feeling overwhelmed by large crowds. The beach's rocky areas provide unique opportunities to discover interesting shells and stones along the shore.

Very cool place, not crowded at all, almost no one is there. It is a rocky beach. Unfortunately it is messy after abandoned buildings, but if you won't go too far, you can stay close to the beach restaurant where there are lounge chairs and that part is clean but not so private. Also, you can find some cool shells and rocks. /Pictures are a few metres in front of the beach (in direction from Durres), because we didn't have a phone on the beach with us. You have to cross those wave stoppers and a fence to get to the beach I'm talking about/.
Viktória Z — Google review
Looks like a nice place, but it was closed. The way to the beach is through an oil refinery and so the view isn't very nice. The road to the beach is sometimes very bumpy and from durres you'll need 45min which is not worth it.
Andi — Google review
It's closed. Too bad, those pine trees are perfect on a hot day

The sunbed is 500 lek. The beach is clean and sandy. The sea inside is clayey. The water here deepened faster and was colder than elsewhere. There is little wood, the environment is industrial. The part outside the beach is very trashy.

Abaia Winery and Vineyard, nestled in the heart of Durres, offers a unique dining experience with its exquisite selection of wines and gourmet dishes. The winery provides a sophisticated atmosphere for wine enthusiasts to savor their meals paired with exceptional wines. Visitors can also enjoy guided tours through the vineyard and distillery bunkers, complemented by delicious homemade or locally sourced food.
This place was so pretty & charming. We loved our visit. Dinner & service were both good. The next time we're visiting we will definitely need to try one of the tours. The kids enjoyed the farm animals & the play area. Our visit to the vineyard made our trip to Albania even more special. Thank you!

Amazing experience. Erisa is an absolute gem and makes the tour and tasting extra enjoyable. The wine is delicious, as is the food. The perfect spot for a little learning and a lot of relaxation and enjoyment. We left full, buzzed, and happy 😊
Amanda H — Google review
Our evening at Abaia Winery was by far the best experience we had during our trip to Albania. It started with a little tour to the bunkers, where the actual wine making is happening. The process was explained to us and after around 20 minutes we were free to choose a table, where we had dinner and the wine tasting. We didn‘t want to drink Raki so we opted for only the wine tasting (which were three types of wines) and a la carte dinner. The staff was extremely accomodating and attentive. Even when I asked, if they could surprise my boyfriend for his birthday, they made that possible. Our food (marinara focaccia, beef carpaccio, tagliata & red wine risotto with scamorza) was high quality and tasted exceptional. The last aspect to note is the scenery. Our table was right next to the vines and the ambiance was very special. Overall, the vibe is very farm-to-table with little chickens and not so little turkeys running around (among other animals). Thank you to the @Abaia-Winery Team for an evening to remember!
Aurelia — Google review
One of the best experience I’ve had whilst abroad. The venue was INCREDIBLE. The staff were so lovely and shared so much knowledge of the wine and the history of Albania. We did a wine pairing with 3 courses and 3 wines. The pairings were excellent and the food was so good! Mario then drove us into duress city centre and had great music and drinks flowing in the car. 10/10 experience ⭐️

Abaia Winery was a stunning venue! Our gorgeous tour host Elena, was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines and the history of the area. Unlike other experiences, Elena made this one memorable through her intentionality and skill. The staff were very polite and attentive. We selected the 3 course meal with wine pairings which I am still recounting 😍. The food was fresh, abundant and great quality. The wines were unique and delicious. The desert and spirits were a lovely finish to a hearty meal. I would highly highly recommend.

Amazing wine, food and chill setting minutes from Durres. Eleanor was our hostess and curated an amazing tour of the space (bonus, the winery is in a bunker so it’s kinda 2-4-1 on Albanian history). Highly recommend. I want to make this part of my monthly bingo card. We left with nothing but smiles. 2nd shout out to the team but particularly Eleanor!

I enjoyed my visit from the moment I arrived. This winery is beautiful, gives an amazing sophisticated vibe and the staff are unmatched. They have such a calming and positive vibe, all the staff were amazing and I especially enjoyed Elena who shared great knowledge about the wine we tasted and how it is made. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering a winery and I will be visiting again if I ever get the chance!

Spent the later morning and lunch. Did a tour of the vineyard- lovely to hear about the history, process and meet the staff. Then had lunch, 3 option 4 wine and meat/cheese €22, 4 wine and starter and main €36 or 6 wines, appetiser, starter and steak €50. Was a great experience and we came away with a bottle from the gift shop. Everyone friendly, still a young business and team- but they are doing a great job.

We did the Wine Lover Pack at Duka Winery & Vineyard and really enjoyed the overall experience! Before the boat tour, we learned a bit about the winemaking process, which was informative. Our boat experience with the guide Tosi was definitely the highlight , he was very professional, friendly, and made the trip fun and relaxing. We had a great time on the water! The only downside was that the waiter during the wine tasting didn’t seem very friendly, which affected that part of the experience a bit. Overall, the visit was okay , especially the boat tour, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and unique way to experience the vineyard.

Incredible experience all around. Can recommend the wine tasting for 22€ and the boat ride. Honestly this place is a gem and one of the highlights of Albania for us. Special thanks to Tosi, Aldo and Juergen for serving us and making our time memorable and fun! Sunset views were stunning and the wine delicious.

What a fantastic experience! We were guided by Tosi and Klejdi, who were both exceptional and made the tour genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. Beyond the great tour, the staff deserves a special mention for being so incredibly friendly and accommodating. And let's not forget the food, it was truly delightful!

Me and my girls had such an amazing experience at this winery. Our guide Kesi really explained everything and now we know how wine is produced, what contributes to the taste as well. She was so friendly and patient with us as we took our photos. The service in the restaurant and boat ride was the icing on top. We'll be back for more, thank you 😊

We had such an amazing experience on the wine tasting tour at the Duka Winery and vineyard. Our guide, Kasie, was absolutely wonderful, she explained everything about the history of the wines and the vineyard in such a clear and engaging way. After the tour, Reni took over and served us during the tasting session. Reni took his time to explain each wine we tried. I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn more about wine in a fun, welcoming atmosphere.

I loved my time at the winery Tosi really welcomed us and we instantly fell at home then he took us on a boat cruise giving us all the information regarding the lake. Kesi took us around the winery and explain the process of winemaking to clearly. Reni was out such a cheerful waiter ever smiling. We really enjoyed our time here

I visited Durres Town in October, and it was incredible! The weather was perfect, and the sights were stunning. There are so many beautiful souvenirs to pick up, plus tons of awesome restaurants to try. Just a heads up, if you’re staying at Durres Beach, you’ll need to take a cab to get to the town. Seriously, don’t leave Albania without checking out Durres—it’s a must!

Durrës in One Day with Kian Balkan Tour Durrës is a historic coastal city over 2,700 years old, where ancient heritage meets the Adriatic Sea. Begin your journey at the impressive Amphitheatre of Durrës, then explore the Archaeological Museum, Durrës Castle, and the Venetian Tower along the old City Walls. Stroll down Epidamn Boulevard to the Byzantine Forum (Rotonda) with its elegant Corinthian columns, and visit the Great Mosque near Freedom Square, where the statue of Queen Teuta proudly stands. Discover traces of the Royal Villa of King Zogu, and step into history at the Hamam. End your day with a relaxing walk along the Vollga Promenade, enjoying sea views, cafés, and the golden sunset over Albania’s ancient port city.

Now this is a beautiful town square. All in white, with fountains, benches and palm trees. The mosque is very beautiful, people are very kind.
Dijana Ć — Google review
Amazing town square. The floors reflect the amazing sun and everything is mostly clean. They certainly setup this square for celebrations. My only issue was with the fountains, that weren't cleaned and you can see the mildew and water being brown. Adding some chlorine would fix it. Otherwise, this was an amazing town square. It faces the mosque in central Durres.

The Sculpture Rodon Monument in Durrës is a striking and artistic testament to the city's maritime heritage and cultural vibrancy. This captivating sculpture, which adorns the city's waterfront, depicts a dynamic and modern interpretation of a sailing ship. Its elegant design and prominent location near the sea evoke a sense of movement and energy. The Rodon Monument not only adds to Durrës' visual appeal but also serves as a symbol of the city's enduring connection to the sea, making it a noteworthy and aesthetically pleasing attraction along the Durrës coastline.

The ROTONDA, BYZANTINE FORUM is an impressive archaeological site that unfortunately lacks proper maintenance. A PVC water pipe runs across the site, highlighting the need for greater attention from the government. This historical landmark is conveniently located a short walk away from the amphitheater in Durres. Visitors can witness scientists conducting research and exploration activities during their visit. If you have an interest in ruins and ancient history, this place is definitely worth a visit.
Very neat definitely want to see when you’re in Durres. Short walk from the amphitheater. During my visit I saw the scientists during some work.
