The view of the boardwalk is superb! The atmosphere is inviting and... The food is delicious. If you're a tourist, note this is a fish-first restaurant that serves fish, with pasta, you won't find many of your "regular" pasta dishes here, but there are some. If you like seafood pasta, this is your spot! 🐟 🥧 The pasta is just the right level of al dente. The sauce was a great consistency and taste! The fish was super fresh. The servers were great. Everyone who came to our table knew at least some English and was very kind answering questions, explaining dishes we hadn't tried before. Two small concerns we had: Food came out at different times for different table members (starters / mains). We'd planned on sharing some dishes to try so this made it a bit awkward. Communicating allergies - they did great, no epi pen required, but it took some work to get there. But for an overall experience, we'd highly recommend it.

Even though we arrived before the official opening time (which, by the way, is different on Google than in reality), we were warmly welcomed and seated at probably the best table in the place – with a beautiful view of the sea. We were immediately served water and a small appetizer, and within minutes came the fried seafood – possibly the best I’ve ever had in my life. Truly fantastic flavor, freshness, and preparation. The other two dishes – risotto and black tagliatelle – were also excellent, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. We’re sending 5 stars to the restaurant and thank the team for a truly pleasant experience. Amazing food, lovely setting, and kind staff – highly recommended!

An unforgettable dining experience at Pastarella! We had dinner here tonight and it was truly amazing. The food was top-notch—especially the grilled squid, which was fresh, tender, and flavorful. It was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented—easily one of the best seafood dishes I’ve ever had. A big thank you to our waiter, Clyde, who was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. He took the time to explain the menu, make great recommendations, and make sure we had everything we needed with a smile. His service made the experience even better. I highly recommend this place if you’re in Durrës—come for the food, stay for the view, and leave impressed by the service. We’ll definitely be back!

Great restaurant on 3rd floor with private elevator from the street. Delicious house red wine, pasta, salad, etc. The view is the best part - open breezy windows to look out at the promenade and sea - reserve for sunset to see pink clouds ☁️ and be sure to dress up a bit!

I went to Durres for day trip. Being an Adriatic sea city, I definitely must have seafood. This restaurant is named fish restaurant, so I supposed is professional. Indeed it's good quality fresh fish & well cooked. I had the recommended best & most expensive fish, wild Gilt head, Lek7500/kg. The restaurant is 5-star atmosphere, service is standard.

Very good service and such nice atmosphere. We had a pleasant evening. The food was also very good and tasty. Really enjoyed our dinner here and will probably come back again.

Warning - cash only after 11pm!! What a silly rule. Lucky I had some cash in my wallet. Menu was good and staff spoke English. Decor was nice and location is great. Salad was big size and boring. Lamb was a bit fatty and with bones, but tasty. Dessert looks like it was bought, not homemade, looks exactly like ones sold in a cafe nearby. Prices were acceptable. Stars would be higher if they took card payment. Also, I suggest you arrive early evening as I noticed that as you go past 10pm the staff eat meals themselves and they generally become less attentive - they are busy talking, eating and cleaning/ preparing for next day

We had a mostly great experience at Mema House. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. We started with the grilled prawns — they were a bit bland and unfortunately arrived slightly cold. However, the meat with potatoes was excellent, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. We also tried the cheese croquettes, which were a highlight — crispy and comforting. To finish, we ordered a chicken dish that was supposed to come with rice. Sadly, the rice had run out and it was served with potatoes instead, without any prior notice from the waiter. This left my wife quite upset, as she was specifically looking forward to the rice. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would consider returning, but a bit more communication would have made the experience much better.

Close to the city center, we found this charming spot offering truly authentic Albanian flavors. Locals recommended it as one of the best places in Durrës to try traditional dishes – and I wasn’t disappointed. Everything we tasted was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, and finally, a place where service worked smoothly and English was well understood. A genuinely good dining experience all around.

We had the most amazing traditional dinner at Mema! We ordered the shared mixed traditional platter and every single dish was perfect, rich, authentic, and full of flavour. As someone who is ethnically Albanian I can honestly say this is the best Albanian food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We flew all the way from New Zealand and now Mema has become our new favourite spot in Albania. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a true taste of tradition!

They sell delicious national cuisine here, as well as excellent mussels and mixed fish. The waiters are very polite and talkative. I was here almost every day of my vacation. One of the best places in Durres, in my opinion.

The food is decent and reasonably priced. The experience is somewhat spoiled by the tricks that they play to force you to pay in cash ("machine is broken", etc). If you stand firm, the machine may miraculously start working again;))

Drawn by the promise of a mesmerizing sunset and delicious food, my girlfriend and I visited Sunset Bar in Durrës. The venue certainly lived up to its name, offering a charming atmosphere perfectly in tune with the coastal setting. We were lucky enough to snag a table with a direct view of the sea, setting the stage for a memorable evening. To quench our thirst, I opted for a freshly squeezed orange juice, while my girlfriend chose an Aperol Spritz. To accompany our drinks, we ordered the "Mix" and "Mesëm/Medium Mix," a tempting platter featuring an assortment of fries, meats, breads, and dipping sauce. Intrigued by the burger selection, I chose the "VIP BOSS Burger," a towering creation boasting four beef patties, bacon, pickles, and caramelized onions. While the burger was decent, it didn't quite live up to its grand title. The patties were a tad dry, and the overall flavor profile lacked a certain wow factor. My girlfriend's "Italian Burger," featuring a beef patty, prosciutto crudo, mozzarella, and cherry tomatoes, fared slightly better, but still didn't quite hit the mark for us. One minor hiccup in our experience was the lack of cutlery. We had to request it from the waiter, who, to our surprise, only brought one set for the two of us. We managed to make do, but it was a slight inconvenience. Despite these minor shortcomings, we enjoyed our time at Sunset Bar. The ambiance was truly special, and the view of the sunset over the sea was nothing short of breathtaking. It's the perfect spot for a romantic evening or a special occasion, offering a unique blend of delicious drinks, tasty snacks, and a mesmerizing atmosphere.

Beautiful beach club restaurant with a botanic look. Live music from a DJ. You need to be patient for the service and to receive your food but our waiter also brought us his smile. Nice food and a lovely view at the sea! (Review from two woman from Amsterdam)

Very nice place, risotto was excellent, good music. The service was fast at the beginning but after we finished the main courses it was very difficult to get the attention back of the waitress. We have waited a lot to ask for the desserts.

In the menu 3 items were out of stock. They served the ordered wine without degustation. I was served squids and shrimps dish with three shrimps fried head. I claimed about it and the manager came saying that I probably ate them and I was cheating him.... The music was so loud and so on terrible and expensive dinner.

Aqua is one of those places that instantly makes you feel like you’re treating yourself. The cocktails were fresh, colorful, and perfectly balanced not too sweet, not too strong, just right for sipping slowly while enjoying the atmosphere. The food was just as impressive. The salad came packed with fresh greens, citrus slices, and a touch of sweetness from fruit, making it light but full of flavor. The cold appetiser was the highlight beautifully presented with prawns, citrus, strawberries, and a drizzle of olive oil that tied everything together. It tasted as good as it looked: fresh, vibrant, and perfect with a glass of chilled white wine. Friendly staff, stylish setting, and a menu that actually delivers.

It's a very great place, the staff is 10/10, they are very respectful and helpful. When we went, we bought cocktails and desserts. Tiramisu and Red Love (chef's secret). They were delicious. The place was very stylish and the prices were reasonable

Very nice bakery/coffee shop. The waiter was very friendly and the service was good. Prices are great. The croissant with dark chocolat was a bit dry, but it was alread, late afternoon, so maybe in the morning it would have been great. The taste was great anyway.

Nice staffs, good croissant. It was full of rich cream(we ordered pistachio and dark chocolate ones) in the croissant and very tasty. The croissant was around 1 euro per one. They tried to find the bathroom around the neighbors that I could use, since their bathroom was out of order that day. It was very nice of them and I really appreciated.

Good things first: the staff girls have been most of the times friendly and attentive. The other times I haven’t experienced the same good atmosphere as the manager/owner was shouting to kitchen staff as loud as he could. Another good thing is the variety of fresh baked goods. There is everything if you crave sweet or salty food. The last time after a long time of getting sandwiches there, I witnessed having literally dirt in tomatoes and mozzarella was sour which is not normal for a fresh product. Hopefully this was just an inconvenience and not an usual lack of hygiene as I haven’t noticed before, since I’m not known as a slow eater.

Croissants filled with pistachios are £1.10 sandwiches are £1.60 with exchange considered. Coffee is really nice, staff are friendly and speak English if you require. Cool spot

Best bakery in town! Perfect option for a delicious breakfast! Sandwiches are out of this world, especially focaccia! You have to try Red Velvet brioche & sfoliat me fruta we fell in love with it! It’s our 2nd time and we definitely go here each morning! Coffee as well is perfect also you can choose between oat, soy, or regular milk! Totally a 5 star place in Durres!

Dropped by this welcoming seaside café right in the heart of Durres beach for some coffee and drinks. The location is perfect—just off the promenade with a great view of the beach. Ideal place to relax, enjoy a refreshment, and watch the world go by.

Visited this cafe in the evening. Ordered some piece of chocolate cake and americano-coffee. Both were delicious, especially coffee, which was about the best you can get in Durres if you do not mind any specialities. Service polite and fast. However there is quite a lot of traffic in front of the cafe.

You can only pay in cash, but they accept euro. ❌ Not all staff speak English.

ALWAYS ask for a receipt every time, like a rule. We were there a few days ago, and they tried to overcharge us not for the first time. The waiter told us a total that was almost 1.5 times higher than it should’ve been. This isn’t the first or even the second time it’s happened. I always thought, well, maybe it was just a mistake. But now I see they’re simply being shameless. After asking for the receipt: “oh sorry my bad” If you’re a foreigner, double-check everything. And even if you’re local, don’t expect fair treatment by default. Just be careful. For the last week it has happened twice in 2 different spots…sad

Located at the Beach, Nice Pool and Restaurant with good food! Very friendly staff! Especially Romina - She was absolutely wonderful – very friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. She made me feel truly welcome and took great care of us throughout our visit. Excellent service!

The hotel is located between a highway and an industrial port, which makes the location to one of the worst in Durres. The rooms are clean but the wifi is so slow that it's impossible to watch anything from a streaming service. The staff is not very helpful. When I arrived I had to break a 5000 LEK bill to pay a taxi. Neither the reception or the bar could/would help. The pool area is very small and only has room for 5 sun beds.

Great hotel. Nice rooms, reasonable breakfast. The strongest suit is how amazing the staff are, from reception, to housekeeping to waiters and kitchen staff. Defo location is also important as it’s close to the main roads to the airport. However, there is a downside, which is the beach crew. They will try to rip you off and make you pay for the towel (10€) even though we were guests at the hotel. This lead to unpleasant conversations and nearly arguing in front of other beach goers., which was completely unnecessary. Still, I give it five starts because overall had a great stay. The hotel offers a beautiful view and is very clean – rooms are cleaned daily with regular towel and bed linen changes. The beach staff is extremely friendly, and the food is decent, although a bit repetitive. A big downside was the use of plastic cups in the restaurant, which doesn't match the overall hotel standard. We also had a small issue with check-in – we were given an already-occupied room twice. Fortunately, this was resolved the next day, and we were assigned the correct room according to our booking. Overall, a good stay with a few minor issues.

The stay was average. The best part was the balcony with a stunning sea view—it really added charm to the experience. However, there were several drawbacks: the comforter was torn, no coffee machine, tea, water kettle, or bathrobes were provided, and the Wi-Fi was very slow. With better in-room amenities and reliable internet, the stay could have been much more comfortable.

Regarding the cleanliness of the hotel, we have no complaints, but everything else was absolutely unacceptable. This hotel does not meet the requirements for a 4-star establishment at all. The food was terrible. No variety whatsoever, every day it was exactly the same and poorly prepared. The hotel’s beach was also appalling, with extremely dirty water. On top of that, people were eating and throwing their trash into the sea, spitting in the pool, and so on – we were truly disgusted. One of the days during our stay was rainy, so we decided to use the spa or gym, which the hotel claims to have, but neither of them actually existed. We would never visit again!!!

Hotel is new. Rooms are good, my one was with sea view. Good size, nice bathroom, good quality beds... Position is good, it's seafront. Nice and big enough beach. Perfect fo families with young kids. Onli one BIG minus is restoran and food. It's so basic and every day pretty much the same. They need to offer lot more different kind of food. For example, they are family hotel, but they do not offer kids no.1 food like pizza, fries, choco/vanilla puding, mus... For me food was really disappointing detail... Improve that and you will be TOP

My girlfriend and I recently visited Illyrian Garden in Durrës, drawn in by its reputation for stunning views and a vibrant atmosphere. The venue certainly lived up to its name – the decor was an absolute delight, with lush greenery, comfortable seating, and a design that seamlessly blended modern elegance with natural elements. It was truly an Instagram-worthy setting, perfect for capturing those picture-perfect moments. We arrived in the late afternoon, around 2 PM, hoping to enjoy a leisurely brunch and some refreshing drinks. Although we were under the impression that the kitchen was open at that moment, we were informed that it wouldn't be serving food until 4 PM. A bit disappointing, but we decided to make the most of it and focus on the drinks menu. I opted for a protein shake and the "Illyrian Sunset" mocktail. Unfortunately, the protein shake wasn't quite what I expected. It seemed to be mixed with water instead of milk, resulting in a thin and somewhat bland consistency. Luckily, I was primarily focused on the protein content and not overly concerned with the taste. The "Illyrian Sunset," however, was a revelation. A perfect blend of sweet and tart flavors, with a hint of tropical fruit that danced on my palate, it was incredibly refreshing. My girlfriend ordered an alcoholic cocktail (the name of which escapes me now) and she was equally impressed with her choice. One thing that struck us as odd was the inability to pay by card. In this day and age, it seemed unusual for a venue like this to not offer card payment options. Overall, Illyrian Garden is a beautiful spot with a fantastic ambiance and delicious drinks. It's definitely worth a visit for those Instagram-worthy photos and a refreshing cocktail. However, they could certainly improve their communication regarding kitchen hours and payment options to ensure a smoother experience for their guests.

My favorite spot to visit in the morning or evening during the summer. In the mornings, I’d work on my laptop while enjoying delicious banana chocolate crepes for breakfast, great coffee, and my absolute favorite, the detox smoothie. Once when I ordered the banana chocolate crepe they were out of bananas, but one of the staff ran to the store to get some..what an exceptional service! Most places would’ve just said “Sorry, we don’t have it.” The pizza looked tempting, though I didn’t try it when my friends ordered it. The staff speak fluent English and communicate effectively. Reservations aren’t needed, and the prices are very affordable. My only wish is that they offered an English breakfast and more menu variety. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, this is the perfect place to hang out, sip a glass of wine, and chat with friends or enjoy a date night.

Outstanding! I’ve had this place bookmarked for a while and wanted to dress all “fancy” for the setting. However, today I was passing after a bit of a hike up the mountains so decided to chance my luck. I needn’t have worried, this place was so relaxed and friendly and I only stayed for a coffee and to admire the beautiful view. Coffee was nothing short of excellent and reasonably priced considering how high-end the setting is. Don’t hesitate to pay this place a visit!

Amazing view of the city of Durrës on rooftop. It was a little hot during the day to sit outside. Indoor and outdoor seatings. A glass of wine 350 lek and other varieties of alcoholic drinks. Service is good. Loved it. Music is a bit loud indoor.

A charming boutique hotel — highly recommended! We stayed as a family of four and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout, with clean, comfortable rooms and cozy beds. Breakfast was excellent; despite being a small hotel, the selection was impressive, especially the pastries and desserts (the owner also runs a nearby café, which explains the quality!). The staff were warm and helpful, and the location couldn’t be better — right on the main road in the city center, close to tourist attractions, and just a short walk to the promenade. We weren’t flying until later in the day and the hotel owner kindly let us keep one of the rooms until 2:30pm which was very helpful! Thank you for a lovely stay! You won’t regret booking a stay here! 😊

Rooms are ok but small. Service is really bad. There is NO parking. There is a paid parking behind the hotel for 10€ per day. BUT: the Main Street closes every day from 7-11pm which means you cannot go to the hotel by car or leave the hotel with the car. We asked at the reception if we can park again and she said it is no problem. However when we came back we could NOT go to the hotel anymore. We had to park far away and walk with all our stuff. The receptionist was sorry but she told us that we can just get the car at 11 and park behind the hotel. However I don’t want to get up again and walk at night in the city just because the hotel forgot to tell us that the street is closed. There were no towels at our room. We asked for towels and she brought small one. We asked for normal towels and she brought a bathrobe. This is just bad service. Cannot recommend at all! Also the toilet was not clean at all and there were stains on the bedsheet.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Room furniture looked and smelled brand new. Couldn't hear any noise from other rooms. Breakfast was very good, many options to pick from. Staff was so friendly and kind. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very charming and elegant, as you can see in the photos. The hotel will open sometime in 2021. New, nothing damaged. Very beautiful facade, perfectly selected details. Everything fitted together. We regret that we only spent one night there.

Well decorated rooms and location could not be any better. Breakfast is simply amazing and comes with lot of sweet options too. Only downside is the room size, it is a bit compact and not recommended if you have babies/kids. Otherwise everything was great and well taken care of!

Very nice and elegantly finished hotel. Just few steps off the main street. So it is a quiet place. We had a room 201 - very spacious, with a balcony right above the entrance. The bathroom has walk-in shower with a big window. Very convenient solution. The bed is big and comfortable. The breakfast is rich. You can choose from meat to fruits and yoghurt. You never walk out with an empty stomach. The hours of breakfast is also convenient- from 7:30 to 11:00. And you can enjoy your meal inside the restaurant area or outside, at the terrace. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is also convenient. Everywhere is a walking distance. I’m giving five stars but I have couple of suggestions: - a small coffee table and chairs to enjoy drinks on the balcony. Or to catch some sun rays - ice machine on the corridor

Tried this coffee shop as it was too hot. Didn't know they make really good coffee! And the environment inside was really good to hangout as well. But there's only 1 toilet on the second floor so not good for accessibility.

The cabinet food looked quite unappealing for a chain café, which was disappointing. The coffee itself tasted great, but the milk wasn’t steamed with microfoam, so the texture of the latte was off. On a positive note, the place was very clean and the staff were friendly.

Very good and affordable prices. Ordered a strawberry milkshake and it turned out to have no milk and no strawberry taste and just ice. The desserts were bland and felt like its been out for too long. Atmosphere and the vibe were nice.

Me and my friend had a wonderful experience here! The seafood was fresh and delicious, and the drinks were perfectly made. We especially enjoyed the flavorful soups, as well as the pasta and risotto. The service was excellent—everything was brought out quickly and with a friendly attitude. On top of that, the restaurant has an incredible view, as it’s right on the waterfront, which makes the atmosphere even more special. Everything makes it worth the price. Awesome Lunch at Zanzi - Perfect for Pet Owners! Just had a fantastic lunch at Zanzi Restaurant in Durres and loved it! The seafood was absolutely delicious, fresh and perfectly cooked. The service was flawless – really friendly and efficient. What truly made our day, besides the great food and lovely sea view and family-friendly atmosphere, is that Zanzi is wonderfully pet-friendly! We were able to bring our dog along, which made our visit so much more enjoyable and stress-free. It's also great value for money. If you're in Durres and want a great meal where your furry friend is welcome, Zanzi is the place to go! Highly recommend!

One of the best restaurants in the area, we been there twice for lunch and dinner. The food was very good, the ambiance and the service very ok. Also the wine was good. Worth to try it.

I loved this place! The service was quick and welcoming, the atmosphere had such relaxing summer beach vibes, and don’t even get me started on the delicious food. I ended my meal with an iced coffee and enjoyed every single moment there. 10/10 highly recommend!

We’re so happy to have come to GlobArt Cafe! Marinella greeted us so warmly and made us the best toast and fries! She did her best despite the chef having just stepped away and she gave us the absolute greatest experience we could ask for :) The fries were the best we’ve had in town, and the orange juice was deliciously freshly squeezed.

The food was fine, nothing impressive. When orders arrived, they were missing advertised ingredients such as sauces and cherry tomatoes. The burger was okay, the fries were good. The service was poor. The waiters were not rude but they fundamentally missed with most if our orders. I ordered an ice cream coffee. Got an iced coffee. I sent it back, they brought it back again. Instead of a chicken sandwich we received a chicken burger and another burger that we ordered was not even being prepared although the cafe is empty.

Amazing service and friendly relaxed atmosphere, they welcomed us like family over the holiday and over 3 nights we went every night!!
