Great to dive in for a few bottles before the tunnel but a bit massive and overwhelming. No doubt though to shopping enthusiasts it is heaven! Plenty of parking and the dodgy wandering pairs of would be migrants common a couple of years ago seem to have been discouraged.

Plenty of shops and eateries. Good bargains but you do tend to spend more overall. 20% tax refund on certain items if you're returning to UK within 30 days (I think). Shop staff should be able to tell you.

A fantastic huge shopping mall, filled with lots of interesting shops, and free parking, shopping trolleys are available in the carpark just like in the supermarket at home, but don't indicate what coin is required, however a 2 euro coin worked well enough though.

To be honest, for me it's one of the nicest and cleanest mall in France. It's a large one with a wide variety of shops to have a great shopping experience 🛍️ ☺️. I would say the most common international brands have a store in this Mall. From Zara to Primark. I really enjoyed my experience there with so many choices. The parking is easy to access and park. it's a nice place to have dinner or lunch 🍽️ with different type of restaurants. Nice job!! U would highly recommend this mall.

I will not be going back to Flunch! Other shops are nice, mostly the same chains as everywhere else in France, except for the Artisan shop, an unexpected gem in the middle of the dross: real unique handcrafted pieces by local artists, some truly brilliant, such as the stunning chess set made of recycled industrial and mechanical parts. But we made the mistake of trying lunch at Flunch, for a French experience, and that was a bit of a culture shock: the service was mostly poor (not enough staff), the starters included watermelon served with cheese (yuk), and the water looked dirty. However, the steak was actually good quality and tasty, to be fair.

Large shopping spaces and seating areas, toilets are clean and tastefully designed with lots of space. Great food court and lots of variety. And the kids can stay all day, entertainment are endless and fun. Ample parking two levels for you to choose, great mall...

We thought it was an excellent shopping centre. Looked smart, easy to navigate through, good varieties of shops available, massive car park, and the design of the outside of the shopping centre looks apart too. Be aware to take the correct exit on the motorway otherwise you risk to end up in the lorry bit for boarding euro tunnel like we did but if you do don't panic there is a roundabout just before customs :)

The staffs were helpful. Despite being one of the smallest Auchan i have visited, they had a lot of stuffs. Located about 10 minutes or less drive to the ferry port. Handy for last minute shopping before getting on the ferry.

Huge supermarket; with a substantial non-food as well as grocery sections. Easy to find, good parking. Some interesting offers. Petrol station available.

Its a neighbourhood supermarket, what more is there to say. However I used it to collect my wine, of which they have a reasonable selection, before returning home.

Fantastic selection of good wines and a huge variety of cheeses. The owner is very knowledgeable about all the stock and generous with her time, even adding a gift as she wasn't disappointed to have too little of stock of one item.

Fabulous shop! The manageress was very helpful in steering us to the best cheeses. If available the red "tome berry" cheese is sensational.

What a superb range of cheese very fair prices got my smelly French cheese fix munster, roublichon, brie be Meaux, epoisse. Mrs will go mad it'll pong the fridge out. By the way the aroma as you enter is quite surreal.

This is the second time I have busted this restaurant and again it was excellent. I didn’t review it the first time. This is an excellent bin gourmand establishment with an excellent set menu in the evening. I had the duck followed by the pork and the chocolate coffee cup, served with a half bottle of excellent house red, but a very good for the price. The service was excellent even though all the covers were full. The only observation was that my glass was dry for the the later part of the main course. A no no really but most forgivable. A very nicely decorated dining room. Highly recommend, but do book.

Come to try their new summer menu. Excellently presented and top quality food, well portioned and superb value for a three course lunch. Service from staff was hit and miss but adequate. Definitely recommended if you're in Calais wanting to try decent French cuisine

We ate here for my father’s 80th birthday and the staff were wonderful. Our crossing was delayed, but they agreed to stay open for us and provided a wonderful celebratory dessert. The quality of the food (having eaten here a few times) is consistently excellent, the service friendly and the atmosphere extremely pleasant. It’s one of our favourite places in Calais.

Lovely 3 course set menu meal. We visited on a Thursday lunchtime before the ferry back to Dover. The restaurant is traditional French bistro style, very comfortable and relaxed. The service is attentive but discrete which allowed us to enjoy the experience. Will definitely return in 2026. We chose the Foie gras and the salmon plates to start, steaks as the main and the Tarte Tatan for deserts, which were all presented perfectly and cooked to perfection.

As French as it gets (though I expected an establishment this size and this close to the channel to at least understand and speak a bit of English) Food was perfect, service perfect - and wine list very reasonable. It's definitely a place to revisit if in Calais another time. Loved the 1920's decor - very elegant and stylish. And it's a huge place...we reserved a table one day in advance, but seems like walk-in is often doable

What an amazing restaurant! We stopped in Calais for just one night and found this gem. Pros: The food was amazing! The salmon was so good! Very reasonably priced! Good wine selection The staff were were very friendly and very attentive. Very very very clean. I watched them sanitize each menu, seats, tables, and even the pen people used to sign their receipt. Cons: Absolutely nothing. You can’t go wrong with this place.

We took the Bib Gourmand menu, and that was really good. I took the salmon tartar as a starter, then the steak and as a desert the mi-cuits. All dishes were perfect 👍.

This is the third time we have tried to eat here after two epic fails, the first time we had booked to coincide with our ferry arrival time from England in 2018, but there were customs strikes and other delays. I could only email to apologise for our "no-show", but they were so nice about it I vowed to return one day. Glad we did, this time we walked in without a booking and they welcomed us no problem. The menu was imaginative and good value, the presentation superb and the service very responsive e.g. we had a ferry to catch this time too and, without rushing, the dishes came promptly. We will return for a tasting menu. You could tell that this restaurant is very popular with the French. Easy to park nearby.

I don't understand the reviews. The menus are not expensive, but they are not good either. There are too many different things on the plate. Many do not fit together. The quality is just ok. It's all supposed to look very artistic, but it's not culinary art. There is a lack of knowledge and skills. The service is friendly, but not attentive and experienced. Little passion for the dishes. The winter garden is quickly cold and equipped with chalky white LEDs. The tables are cleaned occasionally with a cordless vacuum cleaner. You can either brush it or use a damp cloth. But then the dirt probably collects in the metal edge of the table. It's all somehow intentional, but not skillful. Too bad and absolutely no recommendation.

A truly delightful experience at Le Grand Bleu, from the moment that we walked through the door we were taken great care of. We ate in the covered terrace area with a view of the sea, an extremely clean, light, airy and tastefully decorated room. The staff were very attentive, discrete in their work and gave concise answers to my many questions! The table presentation, crockery and glasses were of high quality and I particularly liked the mini hoover that was used to eliminated bread crumbs. *The meal was amazing! I had the 30€ menu, a delicate taster dish, followed by the haddock, prawn and pickles, followed by the mouth watering crispy braised beef cheek and dessert mille feuille chocolate and salted caramel mousse with caramelised peanuts. The 3 courses were absolutely delicious, ample portions and beautifully creative presentation and outstanding value for money. A fresh glass of champagne when I arrived and a glass of rose during my meal. Our little westie was also welcomed and given a small bowl of water. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant and hope to be able to return in the future to relax and taste the Chefs unique cuisine. Congratulations!

Very clean, easy to park, just needed more shops... The ones that are there are very good!

Cheaper in the UK, only worth it if you spend more than £100 and claim back the tax. Not worth it really.

Unfortunately half of the building is empty with shops such as Nike no longer there.. It's also not really an outlet, for some shops they have mostly normal collection with a few outlet deals. Don't expect large discounts either. Probably will go back to trying the Ashford outlet after crossing with Eurotunnel, as this was not worth our time anymore.

Great selection of outlet stores, a good quick alternative to going all the way into Cite Europe. Brilliant activities set out for kids to enjoy as well

They put the wrong information on their website. I bought 2 bottles of springbank 12yo cask strength. On their website they said it was a bottling from 2020 (= batch 20). I paid for this bottles. Instead they send me 2 bottles that were bottled in 2024 (= batch 26). I immediately send a mail to search for a solution (maybe a discount because i paid to much for a 2024 bottling). After a week i send a reminder because i didn't got any answer. Another week later i send another reminder. Now we are 3 weeks after my purchase and still they don't react. The customer service is worthless. Don't buyt at this shop. I will do my best to let this know to all my whisky friends (and believe me there are a lot and in many different countries) to not buy at this shop!!

Wow! A very creative fixed price menu which included foie gras on macarons and snail ravioli! It was all delicious and service was excellent. Great value for the quality of the beautifully prepared dishes. Will definitely come here to eat if we are passing through Calais again. Highly recommend.

Food is pretty good here but if you're not a seafood fan then there aren't loads of options. Very large range of mussel dishes. Went here for a birthday meal back in 2022 and now in 2025 and was great both times.

Fantastic food. Had the muscles and a shell fish platter and couldn't complain about a thing. We arrived early and atmosphere was very quiet so made us dubious but picked up and filled out as the food quality would expect

We were here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Wanted to have mussels and the waitress suggested the cream and garlic one. I love mussels the French style. Also the spicy version from back home. But this one, dint have much garlic flavour as I would have liked it. Would have liked the one with white wine I felt. Haddock fillet with rice and salad was really yumm. Desserts on my boy’s insistence had to choose the three flavoured icecream. Was a disappointment. But they did have crème brûlée and Panacotta on the menu and I’m sure they would have been nicer. We sat in the closed terrace. Was clean and busy. The waitresses dint really speak much English, but was able to communicate. There was some waiting time after order and also to order dessert. Don’t expect the fine dining experience and the waiters checking on you. You have to wait and call them to get attention.

When we visit Calais, we usually dine at Oh Mouettes and have never been disappointed. However they are closed on Wednesday. We had a walk and looked at the menu of the Brasserie de la Mer which seemed inviting. We were seated promptly, it was early evening and not many tables occupied. Waitress took drinks and menu order in a reasonable timeframe. My wife had the menu Capitaine, I just had the steak bavette with roquefort sauce. My wife's fish soup arrived quite promptly and she was very pleased with it. The main courses however took a long time to arrive even though there seemed to be plenty of staff and the restaurant was quiet. both my wife's Dos fish was dry and my steak which I ordered cooked medium rare was well overdone and dry. Both dishes were below average and any chain steakhouse could done better with my steak. The fries accompanying though were very good as was my wife's dessert. Unfortunately, 3 waiting staff seemed too busy chatting to each other around the desk to clear our main course plates so I had to request that they did so after waiting for twenty minutes. All in all underwhelming and not exactly cheap.

If you want to mark your arrival in France, or are just about to leave, this is the perfect place to do it. There's more to Calais than a ferry port! I had the classic moules-frites, but I saw others having wonderful seafood platters. I'd recommend the Jet menu, which includes mussels, a delicious selection of desserts and coffee.

Enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal from the good value Menu Plaisir plus a complimentary additional entree, all accompanied by the Vin de Maison Blanc (2 bottles between three of us). Service was courteous and friendly with language (we're English) not too much of a barrier.

We found this place on a Monday evening, most restaurants in the area were closed. So we gave it a try. And we liked what we ordered. We ordered steak salmon, that was good but nothing special. The pasta and veggies were bland. We tried Scallops kebab too, it was super delicious, better than the salmon. The price is cheaper than in Belgium, but I guess it's just normal price for that area. The staff are friendly and can speak a bit English. The menu is available in English too.

Truly an exceptional experience. Food was delicious, well-portioned and professionally prepared. My partner went for salmon and chocolate mousse with pistachio and I went for Flemish beef stew and a crème brulé - all 4 items highly recommended! Got a free little appetizer, very classy. Special mention for the warmth of the owner: my partner's French wasn't perfect and he kindly offered an English menu. Moreover: a cycling club arrived and asked if there was place for them, which he graciously accepted and even offered to store their bikes in a side/back room of the restaurant. True hospitality you rarely encounter anymore.

This is a great museum that teaches you about lace, how lace was made and is still made today and showcases lace throughout the years. There is a demonstration of the traditional lace machine in action. The temporary exhibit currently there is really an awesome play between lace and art.

A story of lace, from children who made lace in orphanages to machine made pieces. We saw an exhibition of pieces by a Sino French artiste Yinqin Yin. Lots of display pieces to see, a little shop, and café. It's accessible for all, handicapped, elderly, ( my parents 87 and 83 were enchanted )and children. Plenty of places to sit. Maybe a guided visit would be a good idea?

Very interesting museum. Some beautiful lace and machinery exposed. Do not miss the lace making show where they demonstrate how the machine operates. The garments showcased are kept in perfect condition. The gift shop is also a very nice visit in itself since they sell many products made with Calais lace coming from local factories and from the museum lace machines. -M

The staff were very miserable! The two ladies that were serving us looked like they do not want to be there, it made us very uncomfortable. The food was ok and the portions were good. As a restaurant right across Ferry, I would have assumed they would try and communicate in English.

Great little place. Fabulous food and great prices. Very impressed with the Cote du Rhone wine. Short walk from our hotel and got a table without a reservation (Thursday night). If in the area would definitely visit again.

Friendly place with a menu that's full of beef options, with chips. Not completely French, but it has a great beer selection, the food is tasty and the staff are friendly. To be honest there isn't a massive choice in Calais and this was a good option. I had the Steak Tartare and a Brun Leffe - see pic below.

Absolutey must go if in the area. One of the best meals I've had in a long time! It is only a small place but the food is exceptional, you can tell the owner/chef takes real pride in their food and flavours. Very welcoming and accomodating too! Food was absolutely delicious, the chef was friendly and hospitable and provided vegan options for set meals at a moment's notice. We felt very welcomed, as if we were in his own home. A lovely place to eat.

The food was okay, nothing extraordinary for us. Gratefull that they let us without booking but the service was very poor. Appetizers came quick then we waited 50 minutes for our mains. Not ideal if you have an impatient toddler dining with you. Then you have to spend atleast 15 minutes trying to call the waiter, he serves ALL the tables which were all full. Overall, we've been to better restaurants with better food.

Had a recommendation from our good friends at Majestic Wine Coquelles to try the set menu for lunch - we had a lovely 2 course meal with very pleasant and efficient service. Great value and we will definitely return the next time we pop over the Channel from the UK to replenish our wine stocks. Don’t be put off it’s next to a roundabout and parking is allowed on the Pharmacy car Park just the other side of the roundabout. I had scallops in a cheese sauce to start , the main was fillet of pork served with a medoly of fresh vegetables and hand cut french chips (not frozen chips which are the norm in France these days ) desert was an excellent creme brule with an apperitve Ricard , 250 ml caraf of wine finished with a coffee all for less than £30. What a brilliant place for dinner in this canteen style restaurant/cafe. I went with my nephew who is ten, a fussy eater and vegetarian. He loved the pasta with olive and tomato and went crazy for the crepes which are made in front of you. Its a perfect place for the whole family and very easy to access if you are in Calais or passing through as it's in the supermarket so easy parking. I didn't know about Flunch and I will definitely come back. Staff and security were really helpful and the food was tasty. It got busy with lots of different people having their dinner once it got to 6.30pm. id definitely recommend if you are with kids or just want an easy, relaxing place to eat with a lot of choice. Best coffee, drink and meal place I have been to in Calais market area by Notre Dame church. Definitely a local hang out and crazy busy, excellent staff. Very accommodating.

An excellent day out, these guys are open late on Sunday when the hypermarches are not, are extremely competitively priced, kind, friendly and courteous. Excellent customer service and with top notch knowledge of their products and services highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Very good experience. If you purchase more than €100 you will get tax refund. The staff are very helpful, the young lady helped us registered skip tax apps. Wine and prosecco are good price, definitely much cheaper than the UK.

Excellent selection of wines- lots of which you can taste in the sample room for free. The staff were incredibly helpful- I knew nothing about 'skip tax' and they helped download the app and guide me through all the setup, then explained exactly what I needed to do at the shuttle terminal. Absolutely solid level of service and this is the second year doing it. Order must be made ideally in advance and they will have it on a trolley ready for you for easy loading to car. The staff speak perfect English, give you clear instructions on how to claim tax back at the port, and also make sure you don’t breach your allowance so there are no nasty surprises at customs. My parting words are always “see you next year guys”

Still a really good stopoff before you head to the Calais ports. Great quality wines at very cheap prices compared to UK supermarkets. Most seem to be bought direct from the vineyards. The best wine bargains are of course from France but there are good offers on wines from all over the world too.

Nice site but, surprisingly, the personnel doesn't speak English. Being so close to Calais, the shop receives lots of English-speaking people, and is not understandable that the personnel only speaks French.

A clean store with quite a lot of variety in the items exposed. The best part: one can test many of the items, including bikes and skateboards, on the premises. Another plus: the noise is rather low for a shop this size and the announcements are kept to a minimum. On the down side: some of the areas were empty with just a few signs about preparing the isles for Winter.

Avoid if you want anything done on your bike (mine was made worse) or you don’t want to spend lots of money. Although if you know what you want and can stick to it, it’s a great shop.

Good Decathlon as they go. Usual sporting goodies. Self scan not very good. Didn't realise Decathlon products have so many barcodes. Which one do you scan? And they have RFID, so you don't actually need to scan anything anyway. Store works best if you have the patience to actually interact with a member of staff to check out, as opposed to self scan where you'll interact with the security guard who views you suspiciously when you try and scan stuff yourself.

Decathlon's are more either less the same all over the Europe and probably in the whole entire world. Perhaps i notified that in this Decathlon despite all the goods and price similarities with let's say Decathlon in Sankt Petersburg(russian federation) - goods selection is wider and discounts are better.

Great range of good wines. Not all cheap plonk. Staff were English speaking and very helpful with choosing wines. Tell them what you like and they will direct you to similar products which you can then taste. What's not to like. Only reason for 4 stars is that there were a couple of immigrants hanging around outside. Bit off putting.

We enjoyed our visit here. We found Felicity very helpful, knowledgeable and a good sales person. Not pushy, but as she knew her wines, was able to point us to similar and nicer wines. We bought more than intended, but are happier with what we bought, so a definite plus. Well done Majestic and Felicity!

My husband & I have been using this company in Calais for more than 10years, the quality & variety of wines never let us down. All members of the staff continue to be friendly & helpful. The prices are at least £2 less than U.K. as they state.

While looking around the shop, I decided to look up the various wines to check the reviews on the Majestic UK website. I was surprised to find that, in many cases, the "save £x" claims were grossly exaggerated. I'm not too sure how it's allowed, to be honest. I did eventually manage to find some genuinely good deals for really highly rated wines, but I'm not sure that customers should have to validate the claimed savings...

Very helpful English speaking staff here. Good selection of wines, some of which you can sample at your leisure. They also offer a modest selection of spirits and beers. Tip, use the click and collect service on their website if you want to save time.

The wine choice is good as are the prices. I took a deal which paid for my Eurotunnel fares going out one day and coming back the next. The attitude of staff is not so good though, they forget that the customer is their reason for being there in the first place. Rating is based on staff helpfulness. The word service in service industry is there for a purpose.

Good valued discount on some wines. But range is rather limited. Some delightful French chaps in there that really know their stuff but also English staff too. Clearly very matured training as every asks you the same unoriginal 'sales' questions.

What a find! We really loved our stay at this stylish B&B, after a long day of travelling, a comfy bed was just what we needed. The bathroom was stunning with a huge elevated bath set in the floor. The continental breakfast was delicious with home made preserves. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay! Stephanie was wonderful, so kind and helpful to us. She gave us great restaurant recommendations, called cabs for us because we don't speak French and provided a delicious breakfast every morning! Cute little bathroom & view from our room (pictures)

Our rooms were not as described with the smaller room and facilities not very good. We were charged extra for our dog even though this was discussed before booking and agreeing the price. The owners attitude when asked about this later was not good and there were no apologies.

What a wonderful place! Hidden down a little side street, the doors open up into a wonderfully quirky space. High ceilings, large, airy rooms and effortless style made this a very memorable little stay and we'll certainly be visiting again.

We got charged double for a glass of red wine from what we had been charged elsewhere in Calais. The wine served here was actually inferior in taste quality as well. While we were there an elderly Englishman was forcibly ejected by staff when he questioned his bill. It was very unpleasant. A group of local youths who were friends/ family of the staff found it amusing. Myself and my friend then saw the wine list hidden on a wall, surprisingly nothing on it matched what we had been charged. When we questioned this all we got was a shrug! Maybe the Union Jack stuck on the wall should have prepared us for this experience. Calais is a great town to visit and it should be applauded for its efforts to attract tourists. The bars on Bld. Jacquard are friendly and very reasonably priced. These are the places that I would recommend. The Visitor Centre is also very good.

Biggest cheese store in Calais, next to a huge wine store. Good to grab some local cheese if you want to have wine pairing with this. But sadly, the signs are mostly in French and it’s bit hard to understand by foreigners. .

Best cheese i have ever tried, never was a cheese guy, this almost singlehandedly changed my mind. Their cheeses, although on the pricier side was delicious. Their salted butter was heavenly, i loved it. I put it on some fresh bread and it was perfect. This has been one of the most memorable breakfasts i have had, ever, thanks to that butter.
