Amazing food with a view. The fish and chips is amazing, huge portions, the tartar sauce and the mushy mint peas very delicious. The staff very friendly and the price is low for the quality you get. The view of the harbour is absolutely amazing even though it was low tide when we were there. Definitely will go again when in the area.

Lunch yesterday was (as usual) absolutely faultless! Food is a gastronomic delight - fish so fresh, it almost swims onto your plate and all served by friendly, polished and attentive staff. Warm and lively atmosphere and the setting is, even on a dull afternoon, breathtaking. Special mention to Lazlo, one of the restaurant managers, whose friendly and professional manner wouldn't be out of place in a London 5* restaurant. Thank you for making our day!

My family used to live in Folkestone about 8 years ago, and my parents went to Rocksalt a couple of times back then and found the service slow and unhelpful, and the food of mediocre quality. Returning last week, we found that not much had changed. We were greeted by a young server who showed us to our table and took our drinks order - she was pleasant, but did not know much about the drinks options (we later saw others with cocktails, though this was not an option given to us; she also wasn't aware of the spirits options). I don't blame her as she was clearly young and inexperienced, but her lack of training and knowledge reflects very badly on the restaurant, especially as she was the first face we saw. We were also placed at a table right next to the door, where a chilly breeze was blowing in, and despite the restaurant being half empty our request to be moved was denied (several tables remained empty until we left a couple hours later). This was baffling and did not set a great tone for the night. The presentation of the food was very prettily done, and the fish was very fresh, but for the prices, the dishes themselves are very average - nice enough, but nothing special or exciting. We had come to Rocksalt for my sister's birthday, but other than a "happy birthday" at the door, no effort was made to make the night feel special - no rapport with the staff, no recommendations of dishes. When the meal finally ended, they brought out a plate with "happy birthday" written in chocolate sauce and a single, tiny scoop of raspberry sorbet. They hadn't even bothered to add her name (or even ask for it), nor inquire at any point what sort of flavours she might like (she doesn't like raspberry and would've honestly preferred a simpler flavour like vanilla or chocolate). A very poor performance, considering the supposed calibre of the restaurant. Overall, disappointing but not surprising. I'm honestly astounded at how many good reviews this place has, considering that amongst Folkestone natives and locals it is regularly avoided.

My husband & I had a Sunday roast. I had belly of pork cooked to perfection my husband had beef. Everything was delicious. The service was efficient, professional and polite. We throughly enjoyed our visit and food would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately food was very bland and cold, very expensive, and we waited 1.5 hours for the food to be brought out. No one asked us how the food was, otherwise we would have told them, but started eating as we were so hungry. Beautiful view and good location though. Overall, massive disappointment - should have checked the review before hand, as recently they have received many reviews similar to mine. Advice, go somewhere else - you'll get much better food at a fraction of the price.

Location is beautiful - such amazing views across the Channel. The food was delicious - we had the scallops and prawns to start, the lemon sole and the skate and then the fondant for dessert - I’d highly recommend them all. The atmosphere is perfect which a luxurious yet relaxed dining experience. Personally, I loved how accommodating they were to our toddler. An amazing child’s menu but the staff were also just so helpful - Emma was absolutely wonderful. Thank you for such a lovely evening; we can’t wait to come back!

We had booked a big important birthday family celebration for 10. Having been to the restaurant before, we were looking forward to the a la carte dining in front of the panoramic windows with top notch food and service, as always, at a seafood restaurant. I called the restaurant to book, confirmed my credit card for the reservation. When we arrived, we were seated outside the main restaurant in ‘the garden’ which offered us drinks in paper cups and a limited bbq menu. A completely different vibe to what we expected and had hoped for. I spoke to the staff and explained this and asked for their help to elevate the experience. There was no space indoors in the main restaurant. We had agreed that they would swap out paper cups for proper glass and that we would be able to order from the a la carte desert menu at the end of the meal. Not perfect, but a possible solution. Here are some of the issues which occurred after this: - the cups (which were also flying everywhere in the wind) were not swapped out till I spoke to the staff again 40 mins later - the cutlery was placed on the table in a chewed up Tupperware box and stayed there through the meal - the food which we largely enjoyed, came out at completely different times which we weren’t warned about - the kids’ cheeseburger didn’t have any cheese - most people had finished their mains when the kids’ hot dog and sides finally arrived - from an order of three drinks (wine and two beers) only two arrived - the table next to us had ordered from the a la carte menu despite us being told that we could only have bbq mains - the waitress/manager came up to apologise and offer us drinks, but did it very loudly and to the whole table. I had tried to address all issues with the staff away from the table not to break up some sense of celebration and wished she had offered us the same courtesy I can see the staff were trying, but the bbq kitchen could clearly not come with a large table. The staff were pleasant but not completely experienced. We did get a bottle of wine and a couple of beers on the house as a gesture, but sadly it didn’t give us back any semblance of the experience we were expecting and had the pleasure of having in the past.

The shop is a treasure trove of wonderful(and ethical) books, clothes and toys, with some really quirky and unusual things that are so lovely I'd consider having another child to lavish them on. It's a super friendly, child-welcoming space with lots of toys to try and a fabulous chill out nook for when it all gets a bit too much for the smaller shopper. We love it!

I love this shop, the owner Charlotte and everyone who works in there are so friendly and lovely, there's so much gorgeous stuff in there, I love the books and the fact that even when they couldn't open the store properly, Nav, brought out so many different books to show through the plastic divider to my smallest who couldn't tell us what book it was she wanted until we finally found out and there wasn't a hint of being annoyed by it, they get that kids are kids. Everything is such great quality too, I really look forward to our visits when we get to Folkestone. Best shop around 😊.

Absolutely one of a kind shop in Folkestone. Beautiful books, toys and clothes. Owned and run by the loveliest, most genuinely kind people. Highly recommend this store for eco friendly, unique gifts that won’t be found anywhere else on the high street. Being able to browse while the children play is a huge bonus. The dining experience was very nice featuring excellent food and significantly improved service. It’s an ideal spot for enjoying a small bite to eat along with a glass of wine as you head out to a gathering or celebration. This place truly enhances the journey to any party!

We had an amazing couple of visits here recently on a holiday to Folkestone. Extremely friendly staff and an excellent set of dishes and drink options. They were amazing at helping when I experienced a diabetic hypo and also in amending the specials so that I could have them with my vegan diet (and there were a lot of choices on the menu for vegan diets!). My mother is gluten free and had plenty of options on the menu. We visited for a dinner and also at lunch time. There’s an excellent atmosphere and it’s located in a vibrant and safe environment. What made our trip special was the staff - they were beyond amazing and I can’t wait to go back next visit.

Went for dinner here mid week and hadn't been for a while. The tapas food is still delicious 😋 really good quality ingredients, fresh and cooked perfectly. The service is efficient and the atmosphere is great too. It's a great little spot halfway up yhe high street and it's not too busy. We had various dishes including the chicken skewers, sizzling king prawns in garlic and chilli (yum!), peppers, patatas bravas and a few others too. Great price, lovely wine selection and would recommend!

Very awful experience and those who are against racism please avoid these place as they serve food by seeing your skin colour and not by their hotel reservations. The guy (middle aged wears specs) as he desperately didn’t allow me to have food in this place. This was my story as I walked into the restaurant on Saturday afternoon around 1pm and the place wasn’t too busy as I can see empty tables around and the guy who was standing near the till told me that they can’t serve me and said that it’s fully booked for the day and I asked him if I can have takeaway and he still refused saying that they don’t have license to serve takeaway food. He was trying to make me leave the place as I was just asking when is the best time to book for reservations and he said that he is not sure and ignored me. As I can see empty tables there I came out of the restaurant and called the restaurant number from google and asked them if I can bookings for two persons and the lady staff said yes and offered me a table within half an hour. This was my experience and I was really offended by the guy’s behaviour

The best tapas I’ve had and I’ve had a lot !! Great food, great service & overall great everything!! The Espresso martini is a must have. Staff are so welcoming, looks like they have a very close knit happy team which says a lot about how great this restaurant is. The food comes out steaming hot. They could charge double on each dish and it would still be worth the money. I can’t say enough good things about this place I would travel to Folkestone just to come back!!

Today my husband and I had a lovely celebration lunch here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Food was very delicious with outstanding flavours and freshly prepared. Ambience sitting in the little court yard garden was peaceful and relaxing. Staff and service was super friendly and helpful. They had even paid special attention yhat it was our anniversary and offered a desert to share on the house. This was a lovely gesture and a nice touch. Lovely little gem of a resturant.

Small collection of clothes, coffee, technology and sport stores. A barbers, asda and fruit market are also located here. And subway and burger king are all a 3 minuite walk.

It doesn't have all the high street stores, but it has all the popular ones. It is clean and tidy and there are no undesirables in this area

Bouverie Place Shopping Centre is a convenient and well-located spot for getting your shopping done in the heart of Folkestone. One of the biggest pluses is its accessibility – just a short walk from the train station and near the bus routes, with parking available nearby as well. It’s not a massive mall, but it does a great job of serving the community with the essentials and provides a reliable, no-fuss shopping experience. Great for a quick visit or to pick up everyday items without having to travel far.

Plenty of parking. Reasonable parking tariffs. Good shops, easy access

Small shopping centre. It has Asda. Good location in the town centre. The car park is a joke. Terrible paying machines. Most off them are broken. You can't pay with a card on every ticket machine. Paying by card takes ages and although it has contactless it never works. They don't all take cash either. This car park is the main reason why we don't shop in Asda.

Looks new and clean. Car park is confusing tho is it's pay and display it didn't see any signs so assumed it was pay before leaving.

I bought a jacket there and very soon the writing started to wear iff and make the jacket look dreadful I would have contacted directly but there was no email address or contact info on the web. Very sad the jacket was so badly made

Great experience in this shop today. Person behind the counter was friendly, helpful,warm and engaging. Dog friendly which was a bonus and was even offered an expresso during our shopping experience. Gave us time to shop and was good crack. Clothes really quality would recommend!

If you do vintage, then you must visit Bounce! All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. They will help you find that certain something that you are looking for! And you may even get a little espresso whilst you're looking. All of their products are retro and groovy man . . . From chunky sheepskin coats, denim jackets , dungerees, bandanas, shirts and tees. There is something for everyone, so get yourself down there, you will not be disappointed!

Rude! There’s a nice way and nasty way . Won’t be going in again. I went past shop yesterday, saw something in window i quite fancied but the door had a closed sign, I was about to walk on when my daughter pointed out customers in the shop. I tried the door and when it opened I spoke from there to the lady behind the counter. “Oh you’re open, would you like me to turn the sign over to open? “ “Are you going to buy something if you come in?” Was the reply. So I said “Well I don’t know till I’ve looked at it.” “Then no, you can’t come in.” I swear the other customers smirked with her. Why do I always think of the right thing to say on the other side of the door? So I’m saying it now. We are locals - we live in Hythe. (Inspiring Interiors- about 8 shops down- did the entire fit out for us amazingly) I’ve bought presents from this shop before. I won’t be again and am aiming to pass this message on locally.

Steve was a great help in me purchasing a vinyl from his store. I saw a vinyl on his instagram page and communicated to Steve via instagram. He was always very quick at communicating to me. I messaged online to check they had a specific album coming in on the day of release and they got back to me really quickly. My husband picked it up later on and at the end of the day we were both telling each other how lovely and friendly the guy is. He also chucked in a free poster as it was a gift too. Husband now has a loyalty card and I'm expecting more vinyl to start showing up in our flat! 🤣

Visited this lovely shop in September 2020 in between lockdowns. Selling fine wines, secondhand & new vinyl, Pro-Ject turntables etc. is pretty eclectic, even by Folkestone standards! Just browsing at the time but the sound of ‘Harvest Moon’ (Neil Young) through the store system (Pro-Ject RPM1 deck, Pro-Ject MAia Amplifier and Pro-Ject speakers) made me buy it. Great chat and ongoing communication with Alison. Online purchases are still an option during lockdowns and I’ve just taken delivery of my own Pro-Ject RPM1. Thanks, Alison.

Ordered a piece from Shane for my father’s 60th birthday back in March. I cannot fault the piece itself, I have always admired the art - which is objectively, wonderful. However - the customer service leaves a lot to be desired: I chose to pick up this piece from the studio itself, driving down from London to Folkestone to collect in person. However, on attending the shop (some 2 hours into my commute) I found that it had been printed on canvas in error - and not as I had ordered it. Shane did offer to reprint the piece, which I accepted this at the time - despite my frustration at the travel time, and disappointment that the art would now not be ready for its destined occasion. Due to various “printing errors”, its delivery was then further delayed - making this present nearly 3 weeks late. I wouldn’t have minded, however I felt that I had to constantly chase for updates and that Shane was not transparent or forthcoming about the issues unless prompted. I also wonder whether there were indeed issues, as it seemed to me, that perhaps Shane had simply forgot to re-order it? At all times, I have been pleasant. We are human and I accept that mistakes can be made due to all sorts of reasons. This is not the reason for my low review. Instead, I sadly found Shane to be rather curt to any questions, dismissive of these mistakes and unapologetic for the repercussions overall. He offered no discount (or anything as a gesture of goodwill) to compensate for the mixup, which meant that a special birthday present was delivered some 3 weeks post the date itself. I had to ask for the art to be posted direct to the address, and even then, there was no confirmation to say he had even sent it, which meant that no one was at home to receive it on first delivery. I regularly purchase art for customers and whilst I do love Shane’s collection, I feel disappointed with the experience and lacking reassurance in future purchases. Should you buy with Shane for a special purchase, I would double check in advance to ensure smooth sailing!

Today, I visited Shane’s shop to look at a potential print for my wife. Shane was mid painting and took the time to help me explore my thoughts based around what I think my wife would like. Shane was polite and didn’t overwhelm. He helped me consider the pieces and help narrow my decision making. In the end I think I now have what I hope will be the perfect gift which expresses Folkestone. Thank you Shane for taking the time with me today. Stunning art, dreadful customer service! Being local to Folkestone, it is great to see the town being portrayed so well. A true celebration of what the local area has to offer and of the place I call home. However, on more than one occasion, while making enquiries with a view to purchasing a piece or vouchers as gifts, I have found the owner to be ill-mannered and very prickly to deal with - almost irritated when asked legitimate questions - forgive me but I like to know the price of something before I buy it. Today was a prime example of this and was my motivation for writing this review. While loading images on his laptop for another customer to view, I politely asked the price of a particular size print only to given a very condescending and ambiguous answer which left me feeling very irritated. The owner then went a step further and proceeded to blame me losing the other customer as they had advised him that they would pop back once he had loaded the images. Hello! I’m also a customer. This left me feeling flabbergasted and very disappointed. Hey presto, he’s lost another customer. Since I’m a reasonable person and do not wish to be accused of such a thing, I left the shop and approached the other customer to make them aware that I did not intend to take up any of his time advised that the owner had the images ready to view. To which the customer thanked me and would return to the shop. What the owner didn’t realise, I was enquiring with the intention of purchasing a minimum of 3 prints. Never mind. Tread with care would be my advice. Response to owner explanation: I respect you for having the courtesy to respond. Given that you were plugging the laptop in and waiting for it to load, I saw it as an opportunity to ask what I assumed would be a quick and straightforward question. Had you been up front with me about the complexity of providing a ball park figure, I would have been happy to wait until you’d finished with the other customer. It was the way you went about it and your attitude when you suggested I had cost you a sale I didn’t take to. It’s rude and is poor business sense to treat customers like that. Especially, existing customers, who appreciate what you do.

Excellent artist and lovely chap. A trip to the shop/studio is always rewarding. We have an original (one-off, commissioned as our wedding present), and a good few prints with more to come. Visit. Chat. Buy. Go on, you know you want to.

Popped into the shop for some bits. What a lovely little shop, packed full of beautiful material. So much to choose from. I'm new to sewing, up to now it's mainly been fixing the odd seam or sewing buttons back on, so asked advice on a few bits, Miss Ginger was very friendly and helpful, I will definitely go back. They also have a website. Just check the opening times before you visit as they are not open everyday.

ARRRRRGHHH!! I used to think this place was good. Unfortunately the owner doesn't want to do business. Please don't waste your time trying to contact on the phone, It NEVER gets answered. The t-shirts used to be a fair price, now they're priced for greed. Since covid and inflation the owner has taken every opportunity to increase his prices. Offering no incentives to customers to come back. I would purchase more and continue to be a customer, if he understood how to treat customers. Seems to care more about cos playing Captain Jack Sparrow than running a good business.

My favourite shop to go to in Folkestone and have a mooch and a chat! Collin is such a lovely and kind soul. All of my tops are mainly quartermasters and they’re still in tip top condition 100% good quality clothes. I adore Collins instagram stories he posts and never fails to make me laugh and make my day.

I cannot recommend this shop enough! The clothing and accessories are much higher quality than you'll get from the chain stores and the prints are local, funny and eye catching. You can customise your orders but above all else the service from Colin is absolutely fantastic. Go and buy one thing from this place and I guarantee you will be back time and time again.

The cards in this shop are just brilliant. Thankfully not all overly PC, so you can actually send funny cards and insult that person who won't take offence but will laugh in the spirit that it's given. They sell lots of other extras too, like cups, coasters, fridge magnets etc, with the same type of humour. Also, when you look at card prices on the high street, this cool independent trader compares very favourably...and has a far better selection, for me at least.

Visited this shop today, it was my first visit to Folkestone. We ventured to the Creative Quarter and found this gold mine, it was fabulous. The way the shop was set up was exotic and beautiful. Truly in love with this shop, I can see myself returning just to visit this shop for my home when it's ready. Super excited to return.

A beautiful treasure trove of all that is interesting! This shop is an independent business, where the proprietor has lovinly selected all sorts of amazing jewellery, trinkets, gifts and so much more! The entire shop oozes opulence, with ornate hot air balloons hanging from the extremely high ceilings and guilding cornices. It is a firm favourite for the thoughtful present... I have bought and I have received. Great, personal service from someone passionate about what he stocks.

There are not many Home & Gift shops like this Gem of a store. It feels kike you walk into a magical world as soon as you enter, meandering between shelves and units and then winding down the staircase into the lower treasure chest of interesting items. Surley one of the Uks most colourful and charming gift shops.

Love this shop! Have shopped here for a few years. Often pop in on my lunch break for bits, order online or through Kent Food Hub. Sorted us right out during lockdowns 1, 2 and 3! 🥰 Huge veggie and vegan selection!

This is a lovely shop with a great range of goods. I particularly liked the the breads. The lady who assisted me was very helpful and friendly. I look forward to further visits.

Unwelcoming to visitors. A comment was made by a worker about one of my friend’s face, saying she didn’t look happy (“ well you don’t look too happy”) when ordering. She is very unwell, and we did not appreciate this. Waited around 25 minutes for the delizia breakfast, and was around the size of my hand. £12. Toast came at least 5 minutes after the breakfasts. Two of us waited over 30 minutes for an egg royale and a jacket potato. Would not recommend. £2.75 water. £2.75 apple juice.

The waitress who served us was lovely. However, we were very disappointed with what we received. You’d think a coffee shop would know what a flat white is, but got given the wrong drink twice and poured into a different cup, so didn’t end up having it at all. My burger came out with a hair on the chips, which they did take back and change, but the burger tasted like rubber. Also, the other lady behind the counter seemed quite rude.

This is the second time I've been here although I didn't make the order last time. The staff here are excellent and actually make you feel welcome, unlike the nearby Starbucks, which I had just left in disgust at the bad attitude of the staff. I was greeted with a smile in Delizia and the coffee was fabulous and a great deal cheaper than it would have been at the nearby chain. It's a no-brainer for me now. Starbucks is OUT and caffé la delizia is IN. ❤️

Stop by for a quick coffee break and sadly was not a nice one. The atmosphere was not nice, there was no music playing for a long time, until someone decided to turn on. The space felt very depressive. The staff was not very welcoming or that nice. And the coffee was not good either.

We coming from London to spend some nice peaceful time with my family and friend in the city of Folkestone one of the morning we found this coffee shop as our intention was to support the local business, the man who took the order in the shop was so nasty and rude to us, we fell so very much disappointed with the way he have spoken to us, even with my 11 year old daughter he was so rude. To avoid any stress when you come to Folkestone don’t come to this shop I took place to do this review based on the trust that here we can be heard and share with other the bad and good experiences for knowledge of us all Thank you

Horrible service yesterday evening. Spoken to like children by a 'manager' who seemed irritated by our very presence. Stale crumbling bun on the chicken royale. Only the fries were nice and fresh really. Claim they don't participate in redeeming points and special offers via the app. Won't be returning. Go to the Dover one if you want better service. I don't go out to be made to feel humiliated like I was in this restaurant.

The screens are filthy, the floor and tables are filthy…. It took three times to order the food. The food was lovely. There was a young man with mousy brown hair, tied back, he was very accommodating.

Would highly not recommend. Your staff needs better diversity training. What is the point of having security if you will have staff standing over people of color as they shop and check out. As if we have time to steal from there.

As l was paying for my shopping a member of staff was really crying as she was helping me check-out. It turned out that a customer had been incredibly cruel, rude and insulting to her. I felt so sorry for her as she was absolutely inconsolable. Just remember they probably work on minimum wage, and are not there to be verbally abused by customers. Show shop worker's some respect and appreciation, it's a really easy thing to do and doesn't cost anything.

I bought two basic blouses and since I felt a little sweaty I decided to change in the restroom of Asda. When I changed and left I noticed a security guard lady watching me but I didn't find it strange. I wanted to go to Asda Cafe to have something to drink and rest and at that moment the security guard lady stopped me and asked for the receipt of the hangers I had in my hand. This was extremely humiliating and rude. Of course I showed my receipt. The woman told me that someone had complained about me. I think this is completely racist. Asda you disappointed me. From now on I will go to Morrisson even if it is a little farther away and I will not shop from you!

Love the staff here! Going every week we have got to know Many. Always happy to see them, super friendly and helpful . Shelves are generally well stocked. Store is clean. Love ASDA own brands and the reward system. The scan and go is really useful. Only down side is the toilets, could deffinatly do with a refurb and being open more often.

Delivery driver deicided that the steps up to our flat were to complicated to figure, as a result he chose to not deliver our shopping. The driver claimed that he tried to ring us but got no answer, this is not true, we had no calls from anyone this morning. Told but customer services that he couldn't find our address, customer service rep then said the driver knows where address is, how does that work? Have since been told that they can't reschedule delivery and a refund is going to take a week. Absolutely atrocious, made worse by the fact that the customer service rep was just as inept as the delivery driver.

The cafe is a great little place if you have small kids, you can get them food for £1, which in this financial climate has to be a help. The lady who works there is lovely. I like that it’s hidden away and less expensive than the other chain cafes.

Very clean and modern store but few of the staff should be more pleasant for customers. But I like it.

So just ordered a foot long with fillings meatballs lettuce onion jalapeños and pickles, where is the lettuce?? 3 pieces upon ringing the store the person then put the phone on the side after being very rude this is disgusting service and the store wants looking into by head office they are rude and not helpful one bit.

I've been using this Subway for years and enjoyed the food and atmosphere...it is fast food and facing a bus station. However, I have to say that the service,manners, and politeness seem to have disappeared. It's not as if the counter assistant was rushed of his feet with customers. It was seemingly all too much trouble for the staff. Additionally, sitting eating whilst listening to the assistant cough up phlegm is not conducive to a pleasant eating atmosphere. It'll be a while till I visit again.

This a ideal location for many reasons. They is an Asda close, additionally it’s attached to the shopping mall as the American would say. There is a variety on offer for everyone, there is also a bus station a stones throw away from the entrance. They way it’s designed is very funky and welcoming in order to spend your money. Reasonable prices and service is of high quality, no confusion of this cheaper than this when you buy this and that. The food was really good and warm, unlike some places where they have it cold.

Did a uber order and literally EVERYTHING was wrong. One sandwich just had salad no filling and even the salad was the not the salad i asked for??? All sandwiches were dry and cold and had the wrong salad items, even the crisps and drinks were wrong

Can’t give 0 on service and food !!! Subway is one of my Favourite but this outlet disappointed big time I asked vegetarian, didn’t changed gloves !!! Asked black olives , around 6 half olives and they all dumbed on one side , asked then are these olive enough for foot long ? Will i have olive on my every bite, Never ever recommend this outlet !!!

Do you want to learn what discrimination is? Visit Primark. They decided to get rid of fitting rooms for men. Women still have theirs, but men were swept under "all genders" carpet. I find it revolting. I hate how men are now belittled to the point we can't even have our own fitting room. Does it mean that if a woman walks into all genders room she cannot feel offended by a sight of a half naked man? And what is all genders anyway? Gross.

I disagree with buying fast fashion so I can't give 5 stars. The staff is friendly and helpful, I went there on Sunday afternoon and the place looked neat and I bet they had a hurricane of people going through the shop. I bought a nice looking jumper but unfortunately the quality is matching the price. I read some time ago that they are investing to become more sustainable. Well, I think they still have a long way to go!

What can I say it's ok as a clothes shop goes. Used to be known for being cheap but as it has increased in popularity so have the prices. Boys section age 8+ had minimal selection to choose from. It jumps from little boys age 6-7 in 1 section and then the junior section seemed to only have from 9-10, so 8-9 there was next to nothing. Girls shoe section again didn't have much to choose from at all, very disappointed 😕

Absolutely huge store. Leave plenty of time to look around (probably an hour). The queues for the cashier are snaking around the store, despite them having plenty of tills. As always, there are some great value items which are usually on trend.

The customer experience I had in the changing rooms yesterday was just awful, with the completely helpless staff member ignoring all easy solutions and making my day far more difficult, followed by a condescending manager who was both uninformed and rude. Content : I was shopping for an outfit in the changing rooms, I wanted to wear it to the checkouts and out of the store but was not allowed, so I went back to change out of the items and bring them out. However I lost my tag for the changing rooms along the way. However, despite the staff member knowing I was in a massive rush to leave and having given back all items of clothing I had hoped to buy, I was told I could not leave the shop before I searched for my misplaced cloackroom tag in the now occupied changing rooms. This was just ridiculous and the situation could have been averted by the staff member on multiple occasions but instead of solving this minor issue herself she chose to call her manager over who then accused me of trying to leave with 'company property', aka the lost tag for the changing rooms which I obviously did not have. To be accused of stealing a security tag is laughable. I left the store without my items but simply feeling worse than when I came in, that's not the affect a shop should have on you.

Very good store although sometimes you cannot find what you are looking for. In my experience the staff were polite and there was a range of different things to pillows ,shoes , covers and plant pots. The reason I didn't give this 5 stars is sometimes as I have mentioned the stock is not always there and the sizes are limited. Overall excellent store

Surprisingly quiet, especially for the time of day and so close after Christmas. Only 1 cashier on each floor open, but that was enough to still offer a speedy exit. Big store with lots of choice and many items marked down at half price. The staff were very helpful on the check out,

This place needs to hire more staff or find a better system to keep potential customers from walking out/away. I came in the store for a simple phone inquiry and waited for about 20 mins before someone said something to me. No acknowledgement when I entered the store. There were about 4 customers there waiting prior to me entering and 3 of them ended up leaving because of the wait time. Only 2 advisors were working and not once did they say anything to any of us who were standing around in the store.

I had an issue with my three app this morning then tried to call Three and got very frustrated as I kept pressing the phone keys to speak to someone, even pressed the key to cancel my account in the hope that I could speak to someone but no, they just cut me off. Just visited Three in Folkstone with my elderly parents to top up their internet as they stay in a holiday park for the duration of their trip. I just wanted to mention that we had amazing service from Ethan. He was very kind and helpful explaining what he was doing and why. It’s was the second time in a month. Awesome little vintage clothes shop! Stumbled upon this whilst walking down to the harbour, although brand new the shop is awesome! The shop is crammed with vintage clothing; tops, bottoms, jackets, hats, accessories, for a good price aswell! Super friendly owner and staff, pop in even just to have a chat! Would recommend, not many shops in the area that sell vintage clothes, in a dedicated shop. Amazing shop!

Went in for my daughter as she isn't a plus size like me. There is plenty to choose from, accessible for wheelchairs and the rails are wide enough for navigating. The store has a pleasant atmosphere and very clean.

Unfortunately never want to buy anything in here. Stock seems frumpy or old fashioned. Not sure if this is what all New looks are like now or just this one but seriously uninspiring and tired looking. Worth saying there is not a maternity section here - description says some stores have this - this one does not.

Stock very spread out and an odd selection of clothes. After being closed for so long I expected to be wowed and was disappointed. Prices have also gone up. Store was quiet whereas Primarni was heaving. Polite staff.

Went in today, and was amazed at the variety of items available, maybe a bit cluttered though. Was approached by a lovely young lady Aimey, who explained the layout and was very helpfull and so polite, we all need staff like her.

All McDonald's seem the same to me. This is usually very busy but they do serve you quickly.

Horrible service. Very condescending staff members who are just really rude to you unless you're spending money. Handed them 2 rolls of film to develop and was quoted "around a week" to have them both developed. After just over a week I rang them up just to see how long it might take, as I was quoted around a week, and the lady on the phone aggressively replied "we never quote a week" and "a member of our team has called in sick so it's going to take a couple more days". Apparently they said the same thing to a friend of mine when he used their services, so I have a feeling they're just lying about this "team member" calling in sick. I eventually get the photos after over a week, so over 2 weeks in total, and they've only developed 1 roll of film. They claimed the 2nd roll of film was "empty" but I know for a fact they weren't because I took those photos in Japan and I had stored them carefully afterwards so I would not lose them. My only guess is that they lost my second roll of film and thought it was easier just to say that it was blank. Either way, I will not be coming back and have told everyone I know in the area to avoid this place.

I have ordered film and a few various other pieces from Nik & Tricks. The orders always arrive quickly, well packed and always has a Do No Fly label when I ask for it (in Shetland a lot of our mail comes by air.) After I opened up a C41 Bellini Developing kit as a present from my wife, she was raving about how good the service was as she didn't have a clue what she was looking for other than something to develop colour film. She also requested discreet packaging so I wouldn't see it when it arrived. I think I might be getting more presents ordered from Nik & Trick in the future as a result. big thanks Nik & Trick

Very kind and even supportive with variety of information! I sent an email asking for a recommendation for a developer as I recently got into B&W film development as I wanted to try something else rather than Rodinal and Nikki gave me a list of developers that I searched under specific criteria! While my order was delayed for few days and I sent an email out to find out what’s happening as no one answered the phone, Nikki reassured me that it will be sent out on Friday due to some issues at the store which is very understandable! I’m unsure why some people give such negative reviews about their support and customer service… If you act with kindness you receive kindness I guess, and I have nothing to complain about my interactions with them! - Krystian

Guy behind the counter could do with a few classes on customer service. I walked in, politely said hello with a smile and ask if they process film to which he sarcastically replied “only for (however many years)” and continued to be sarcastic until I agreed to pay £50 for him to process two rolls. (He was lovely and pleasant after that) Oh and it’ll take 2-3 weeks! Giving them 3 stars on the good faith they’ll do a good job with the prints. Otherwise this review will go down to 1 star.

The best place for anything to do with photography. I brought my first black & white developing (starter) Kit by Nik & Trick. They were also very helpful with helping me choose a developer. I also bought a Pentax Program A - which is beautiful to take pictures with.

Very happy with the results from some expired TMAX 100 and Fomapan 400. The scans on the standard service are crisp and a good resolution, more than enough for web sharing. After some very disappointing results from a high street chain (simple case of being impatient) I'm glad I tried a photo lab and supplier with a good track record, it also confirmed my Minolta SLR was working correctly. Keep up the excellent service all!

Very knowledgeable and helpful, and a great experience coming in to pick up an online order and get a few extra bits and pieces. And they have a lot of exciting camera kit about the place too! They're also one of the few people in the UK that supply ECN2 chemistry in reasonable quantities!

We love this little shop, such a wide range of products that our grain free dog can have! And plenty of toys for our destructive pair. Customer service is second to none, always welcomed with a smile and given any advice weve asked for! Will be back again.

My go to dog shop! My Shiba Inu puppy loves The chicken bites — perfect for training sessions and teaching new tricks. The toys are excellent as well extremely durable! Such a great shop, with such a brilliant ethos. Inclusive, fun but also felt really cool. You could just tell immediately how much the shop owner Dan was excited about skateboarding and wanted to share it with everybody but also he wasn’t making it cutesy for kids. It’s a shop that clearly caters for skaters of all levels. Dan sorted us out with protective kit and clothes for the kids (at a really good price) and a new board for a friend. He seemed really honest about what was best for us ( didn’t push us into the most expensive options!). Can’t sing it’s praises enough!

This lovely shop was closed today when I visited Folkestone. They left a note on the front door that they have had a bereavement. So, sad, I hope they can continue the life of this shop. I met the owner several times with my girlfriend, who was lovely. Very sad they are going through this tough time.

This is such a special shop and there is such a variety of goods available. The goods are all from Kent and they are so delicious. There is a good selection of beers, winesvand spirits.I particularly like the jams, fudge and pickles. I find it special because one can just pop in for a pint of milk! One can purchase fresh vegetables. There are also gift items such as tea towels and fridge magnets.The staff are always friendly and helpful. Everything is beautifully displayed and the front of store is inviting!

I bought some lovely Spice Mead and some local Elderflower cider in this lovely little shop in the creative quarter. Very friendly helpful man working in there. All the produces were made locally. I would recommend having a look in this shop and trying out lovely Kentish food and drinks.

Bought some cheese and cider in here. Neither were cheap. Got home to find the cider was sour and undrinkable and the cheese was ‘sweaty’ and not a great taste. For the price I paid this was disappointing. Friendly chap behind the counter but if they’re going to charge top prices they need to make sure that their products are top quality.

I love this little shop, no matter the time of year. They sell lovely local produce, from Gins to Jams and bread to pies. Always helpful service too.

Sorry but wasn’t that busy but I/2 the tables were dirty with items still on and crap over the floor. Needs to be managed a lot better in a food place. Why are these big chains nearly always dirty and uncleaned

If I could give 0 stars I would. The clock strikes 4pm on a Sunday and we were shouted at across the cafe by a red haired employee “WE ARE CLOSED” this is a completely unacceptable way to speak way to speak to customers and not polite in the slightest. We understand that you close at 4pm, as we could see by all the closed lights and everyone else leaving but we are customers and not dogs. My cousin and I were completely startled and felt very disturbed as we were leaving as we’ve never experienced anything like this before. I am disappointed in Starbucks for employing individuals who do not have basic customer service skills. I don’t think I will be returning.

Awful customer service, I will not be returning. I’m appalled by the attitude of the red head barista who had the nerve to shout across the cafe at 15:59 exclaiming the shop was shut. I was startled, shocked and physically jumped. I’m in disbelief that a worker thinks it’s appropriate to bark at customers, making me and my cousin feel unwanted by such poor treatment, and in orderly fashion should have politely walked over and let us know it was time to leave. Sainsbury’s store lights were already closing and we were about to leave so it was incredibly unnecessary to rush us out like that. The nerve to shout at customers is disgraceful and beyond appalling.

I've become a bit of a frequent customer in the first couple of weeks of this branch being open. In this time the staff have been very lovely, energetic and knowledgeable. Such great vibes. Amerigo is a particular asset: he offers fantastic service brings total passion and creativity to what he does (full of ideas for tasty hacks!) Always greeting customers with a smile and seems like a fantastic ambassador for the Starbucks brand. Thank you Amerigo and your lovely team!

Michael carried out a thorough guitar set up for me and offered great advice on how to look after my guitar. I thought it very worthwhile to make the trip down from London, not only for the value for money that Plectrum Guitars give, but for the more personal service and expertise on offer. I will now be making more frequent visits to this gem of a shop!

I went to buy my first guitar, the gentleman was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, not to mention an extremely talented musician! He demonstrated the guitars I wanted to try (I also had a go), he was so encouraging and really made it a special experience! I recommend this shop 100%! Also very covid safe, especially for an independent shop..

I took my electric guitar in for Michael to set up and he’s done an amazing job. It’s now a delight to play. Can genuinely recommend his services, and at a very reasonable prices.

Son bought a started kit last year and staff were really helpful and took a lot of time and care with my son very happy and would recommend.

Fitted a stud to the bottom of my Ukulele. Difficult as it's a lacquered varnish so possibility of cracking but he did a top notch job and at a bargain price. Will be back for all my Ukulele needs

I recently commissioned a painting from Phil at Custard HQ for a birthday gift. We were blown away by the end result, it has pride of place in our home and puts a smile on our faces every day! Phil's attention to detail and craftmanship are superb. He really went the extra mile to accommodate some last minute detail changes too! The lovely Jo kept us informed of the paintings progress all the way through aswell. Would highly recommend Custard HQ!

We missed that Painting by 30 minutes but Phil promised to paint a new for us before we are back. He delivered and it looks marvellous. I wish I had more walls for the paintings. So creative and fun - not just the paintings but also the whole place! Really lovin it!

Purchased a 1 to 1 beginner’s painting tuition for my wife’s birthday. She spent an enjoyable 3 hours with Phil getting to grips with the techniques and basics for watercolour painting. Thoroughly recommend this as a perfect gift for the budding artist!

I enjoyed my visit to Custard HQ and it was a pleasure to meet Jo and Phillip. They were so friendly and helpful. The shop is filled with so many wonderful paintings, books, cards and other gift items. They are both very talented people and the paintings are awesome. I was particularly pleased to purchase one of Jo's books, 'Standing on Custard', for my grandchildren. I can hardly wait to read it myself. It is a must place to visit on the Old High Street. I certainly will visit it again soon.

Very friendly welcoming people who are fantastic artists. Our beautiful and cheeky seagulls have the essence of this amazing bird. Plucky and optimistic, brave enough to steal a chip and rightfully part of the seaside which was their home long before ours. Whatever angle you look from they are looking at you back, something that takes real skill to deliver. Hopefully there will be a fluffy chick next year to add to the line-up! Very happy to have bought this work and I like everything else they do.

What a wonderful little shop! Creatively written books by the gorgeous Jo, beautifully illustrated by super talented Phil. They have mugs and drinks bottles with the same characters on that are in the books. Phil also paints amazing canvases in the shop, so you can watch before you shop!

Brought new pair of curtains, needed advice. Phoned this morning Inspiring Interiors and the assistant, who abruptly advice me to continue placing the eyes through the single thread and then pull the thread at the end by tying a knot. Fortunately I didn't and Dawn from Stich In time simply pointed out I was placing the eyes through the wrong part of the thread, and kindly in professional polite manner gave me directions and solved my query. Therefore for any future alterations I will be choosing Stich In Time.

Jules and ask the staff were very helpful and friendly. I had a sentimental chair reupholstered with amazing results.

I ordered Little Greene paint from them. They were so very helpful, the shipping was quick, and their prices great.

Local business that provides an excellent service, have had curtains made and fitted for bedroom and living room and I am very happy with the end end result so a big thanks to the proprietors for an excellent job done.

My husband and I had a bangle making course today. Thoroughly recommended. We learnt a lot about working with silver, and came away with two great silver bangles. Leah’s work is beautiful, made with a great deal of care and skill - I am hoping to work with her to produce a new ring from my mum’s engagement ring, and I have every confidence I will love what we make together. Her shop is a little den of artistic temptations - I could not resist.

My elderly Mother and I had a fantastic time at a workshop with Leah. We learnt a huge amount - she knows so very much and is a calm, patient and helpful tutor. We would happily have stayed all day as our session was over all too soon. We would both highly recommend a workshop with her.

Attended an introduction to silversmithing workshop and had a great day. Leah has a passion for what she does and it's very knowledgeable, helpful throughout the process and friendly. I'd definitely like to attend some more workshops and would strongly consider a custom jewellery piece from Leah in the future.

Gift from my daughter for my birthday. A great day of learning and guidance from Leah, the silver smith...resulting in the making of unique, beautiful pieces of jewellery. Surprising how much work goes in to producing such lovely pieces. Great group of people, with many giggles and chatting.

We were gifted a gift voucher at our engagement party and so my partner and I popped down to do some pottery painting! We messaged on FB and the team were so lovely to deal with and very quick to reply, booking was very easy! We had a fantastic time at Mudpie, the team were very knowledgable and very helpful. We enjoyed a lovely hot chocolate and there were also a wide range of cakes and drinks available. We are keen to come again and highly recommend for all ages! There was a hen party next to us who were having a fab time and loved that as a hen activity!

Had a great experience here recently when doing a paint at home. We originally were going to come into the studio to paint but after plans changed I asked if we could take our plates home to paint. The man who helped me couldn’t have been more accommodating, he let me borrow a whole selection of paint and a handy paint guide showing the colours when dry. He was more than helpful and went out of his way to ensure we had a good time and had all we needed. A welcoming friendly local business, with reasonable prices and beautiful pieces to paint. Lovely afternoon pottery painting. Lots of products to choose from and lots of paint colours. The gentlemen explained what to do very clearly and had a great sense of humour. Very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Love the finished product! Definitely worth the money.

Took my 3 year old boy to paint some pottery for birthday presents and we were warmly greeted and seated to a table. Lovely choice of pottery and very relaxed atmosphere. Great coffee and selection of cakes on the side too. Plus, while you wait for the paint to dry between the stages there is a little shop play corner for the kids. Highly recommend especially leading up to Christmas.

Was absolutely fantastic...thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Loads of support and an amazing selection...can't wait to see them finished. Staff were lovely and attentive...sadly live in Scotland but would love to go again when we are back in the area 😀❤

It was my first time visiting here to do pottery painting, the man who works there (or maybe owner) was very helpful and told us how it all worked and gave us painting tips. There are lots of different things you can choose to paint and lots of paints available. We easily spent a few hours here, I really enjoyed it. The music they played was good too! I will definitely visit again.

Sadly not a great experience here. Our group of 9 found it overpriced, not a nice stmosphere and very rude staff - owners & staff alike. It also took absolutely ages to get a milkshake for the kids too. Also, shelves of soft toys in the kiddies play area but with a sign saying they were not to be touched. We found that odd. We sadly hoped for something much better. Cannot fault on decor, beautiful inside.

Great store with a wide variety of homeware at a range of prices to suit all comers. This part of the store is closing soon so has done discounted items. There is another part to the store about three doors away. We've had s number if items that have worn well & kept over time. Would recommend this family owned/run local shop. Only downfall is they are rather cluttered & do not easily accessible for buggy/wheelchair users

So I walked in to look for a gift for my mum and the staff member behind the till decided to fart. I can understand that's a normal human bodily function but no apology at all. She just looked at me and said "better out than in". I left in disgust. She had black or brown hair with glasses. Not even an apology. Would NEVER go back

Ive been a regular customer with this lovely and quaint little shop, (particular if your looking for something a bit differant), since the shop opened. The couple who run the shop are lovely, pleasant and friendly. I always come out with more then I intended to buy but thats fine cos it is a magical little shop of things that you would just love. we also have a good old natter as well.

I'm disabled and use a mobility scooter each time I've been in here ( not as often as i would like ) the staff have been so helpful there isn't a lot of space but the staff have moved things so i can get around corners they have got things down for me that i have wanted to look at it's almost like having a personal shopper the staff are GREAT !! And the prices are fantastic. If you have mobility problems please don't be put off.

I'm always popping in here to see the new stock, I'm a massive fan of Harry Potter so this place is like heaven. It's great for gifts from Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, Disney vased items as well as many others, to an array of candles in different scents and styles, soaps, incense sticks and cones, wax melts as well as the burners you melt or burn them in, the down stairs part of the shop also holds ornaments and figurines as well as jewlery. There is something for everyone in this shop. All products are great quality for a great price. The staff are so friendly, welcoming, helpful and they really know their products. It truly is a hidden gem of Folkestone.

Massive selection of a massive variety of goods, some you won't find anywhere else! Great prices too and the staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. Great to see there are still gems like this on the high street these days.

Lovely little shop for someone that is Harry Potter mad or anything really have some really beautiful decorations and Ornaments, candles and bath bombs too! A lovely place to visit for a gift for someone.

Lovely store and workshop. Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and exhibit a wonderful pride in their artisan products. The assortment is sufficient that you will find a perfume, candle, soap that you like. I tried all and then returned at the end of the day having experienced a sample over a few hours. You pay for quality. Good for gifts and self love.

I bought the selection pack to identify my favourite and find a new ‘forever’ fragrance. All are great - you can tell they have been blended with care from quality ingredients. I will return to make more purchases.

We came across this shop while looking for wedding perfumes, and I'm so glad we did! We were shown every fragrance and talked through each one. We loved that some of the perfumes were inspired by local areas. The shop attendant was so passionate about his products and not at all pushy. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a totally unique scent!

An amazing sensory experience where the scents on offer were so original and locally inspired. The staff member was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome, taking us through each scent until we could make our own final decision. Highly recommended!
