The Exiles Beach Club, also known as "Shack" by locals, is a trendy beach bar popular among both locals and expats. It offers a laid-back atmosphere where you can enjoy cold drinks while watching the sunset. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, live music acts draw in crowds. The beach itself is a sandy haven perfect for sunbathing, beach games, and swimming in the clear Mediterranean waters.
Lovely place directly by the sea. Recommended!
Orsolya K — Google review
The place is really enjoyable, nice view from the beach and music. The burger was not the best I’ve had in my life but it was still good and interesting, with beef Pattie, Brie cheese and mushrooms. The fries were amazing! 17 eur for the plate on the picture.
Caroline L — Google review
Amazing food! Had the risotto and bruschetta and both dishes were great. Also draft cisk and they even had coffee with soymilk 10/10 would recommend
Viktoria Z — Google review
For 12€ you get a sunbed and a parasol. You can also use the showers and toilets. Different accesses into the clear water. Lots of locals, very relaxed atmosphere.
Danae V — Google review
Nice beach restaurant. Good pizza of the house especially with cold beer.
Luka Č — Google review
It's OK. A little bit run down, could be so much better. Sun loungers look a bit old and tatty. They don't provide towels so bring your own. The water is beautiful and clear but the beach club it's self is a bit messy. No table service and toilets are a bit grim.
Stacey W — Google review
I really wanted a nice evening by the sea, but The Exiles only spoiled the mood. The service is extremely slow, the waiter forgot half of the order. The drinks were brought warm, and the food was very mediocre. The prices are like in a top restaurant. The only thing that saves the situation is the sea view, but for that kind of money it is better to just sit with a coffee on a bench and enjoy the sunset without disappointment.

Very nice pappardelle with pulled pork. Linguine with mussels and octopus not as much. Octopus was bouncy in texture

Sliema Promenade is a picturesque waterfront walkway that offers stunning views of the glittering lights and bustling seaport in the evening. The iconic skyline can be best appreciated from this promenade, with Tigne Point being a recommended spot for capturing memorable photos. The area gets busy during summer, attracting swimmers and visitors seeking to enjoy the warm weather.
Sliema at night is breathtaking! The illuminated cityscape reflecting on the water creates a magical atmosphere. A perfect mix of modern and historical sights, with plenty of cafes and bars to enjoy. The promenade is clean and well-maintained, making it ideal for a relaxing stroll. Highlights include the charming cat sculpture and the peaceful beach area.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Highly recommended for a nighttime walk or photography!

A great place to walk or jog and enjoy the stunning scenery. Wonderful views of Valletta and beyond. Many cruises to the islands of Gozo and Comino as well as the 3 cities and the large port depart from here. There is regular bus service as well as nearby stops. Also lots of benches to rest and lots of cafes.
Loukas K — Google review
Great place to hang around and stay. Boat transport is nearby to places like Gozo, the Blue Lagoon, and Valletta. There is a regular bus to and from the airport as well. There are nice restaurants nearby as well.

Amazing Place 😎 Beautiful waterfront! The Sliema Promenade is perfect for a leisurely walk, jog, or bike ride. Stunning views of Valletta and the harbor, plenty of cafes and restaurants, and a relaxed atmosphere. Great spot to watch the sunset or take a boat trip."

A nice and clean place. Quite peaceful, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, and shops. It’s very safe, without undocumented individuals posing as doctors or engineers like in Western Europe.

Very nice and long promenade along the bay. The view on Manoel island and Valletta is spectacular. Then the boats of all sizes waving on the blue water makes it even more special. There are also numerous benches located, facing the sea so a tired tourist can stop there and get rest while admiring the view and enjoying the warm rays of sun. Ideal for nice and long walk.

Beautiful Sliema a resort town not far from St. Julians, on the east coast of this Mediterranean island. The waterfront features a long promenade and the 18th-century Fort Tigné in the south. To the north, St. Julian’s Tower is a 17th-century watchtower and battery. The baroque-inspired Stella Maris Church dates from the 1850s. The sandstone, salt rock pools leading out to the sea 🌊 Roman baths also carved into the sea rock.

This is a long public promenade. During tourist season there are many bars, cafes & restaurants open for varying hours. If you enjoy a stroll, people watching, sitting looking at the view with a drink etc, this is one of those places.

Scenic spot
Tigné Point, located in Sliema, offers a picturesque escape from city life with its rocky shore and clear waters. Visitors can enjoy jumping into the sea from high cliffs while taking in stunning views of the Valletta skyline. However, some have noted that the area can be dirty due to litter. Access involves navigating stairs and there is limited shade available. Despite these drawbacks, Tigné Point provides a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle of urban areas.
Absolutely in love with this place!!! Windy or sunny, day/ night or sunset it’s so beautiful! You can walk on the yellow rocks and touch the sea! The view of the city was amazing!

A very beautiful spot with a view of Valletta and the sea, especially at sunset. You can take great photos on the shore — the evening light is magical. It’s a peaceful and romantic place to enjoy the view. There’s no beach or direct access to the sea though — you’re standing on the rocks.

Ferry service
Sliema Ferries Terminal is a bustling waterfront area where the ferry from Valletta arrives. The picturesque promenade is lined with various kiosks, eateries, and outlets that offer stunning views of Valletta across the water. It's a lively spot perfect for capturing memorable holiday photos.
Easy to find. Easy to accces and to buy ticket
Ana O — Google review
A good way to get from Sliema to Valletta effectively and relatively fast with great views. On the ferry you can sit on the top level (no shade provided though) or inside (there’s an A/C but no one is closing the doors). You can only pay in cash. One star off for the staff’s attitude.
Yana K — Google review
The private ticket office next to the ticket office was extremely rude. I asked what time the boat left, and the hatted ticket seller said, "The boat is leaving soon." I immediately bought four tickets, paying only in cash, with no receipts. The boat had already left as soon as I bought the tickets, and the next one was in half an hour. I asked for a refund, but was told that tickets sold were non-refundable. Missing the boat is your problem, not his! If he hadn't told me the boat was leaving soon, I wouldn't have bought the tickets. His implication was that any problems are always our fault, the consumers!
Jeffrey — Google review
A man working at the reception desk spent the entire time sitting in a chair with his feet up on another chair, barely answering any customer questions. His attitude was terrible. As soon as I took his photo, he finally moved from his chair and nudged me. He had a tattoo on his left arm, very short hair. This kind of person should not be working in the tourism industry. He is the type of person who is always bothered to give people information. I don't know why the cruise company is paying him. I won't post his photo, but for the betterment of tourism in Malta, this type of person should be removed from the tourism industry. The guy working around 11am on 31.07.2025.
Ken K — Google review
Simple and easy to use, €4.50 for a round-trip ticket which can be paid in cash or by card. In the summer the ferry runs every 30 minutes so you’ll never wait too long. If you’re British, be prepared for no sentiments of queuing on either side!
Katrina — Google review
Booked to go on ferry to Gozo. What a nightmare trying to register arrival. Had to obtain wrist bands to get us into Comino. So many people all trying to find out how to register arrival on mobile phones and collect bands. I would recommend arriving at least an hour before boarding. I wouldn't do it again.
Susan M — Google review
Fast, clean transportation of sliema. It takes less than 5mins to get valletta ! Def recommend, better than taxi or bus
Sylvia — Google review
So, if you are going to the Valetta from Sliema, DO NOT buy tickets back and forth from the boot next to the port. Buy them only on the boat as those tickets are not valid if you happen to loose some part of it. And it is pretty easy to do as there is no clear info about which part you should keep. We heard people trying to communicate this issue to the seller, not even trying to return money, just asking to put some proper info on the ticket. At that moment manager became rude and started to humiliate the girl that complained. Ticket back and forth on the board costs 5 euro, in the boot it is 4,80 per person. 20 cents does not cost this attitude

Cafe
Mint is a beloved waterfront cafe in Sliema, offering a relaxed atmosphere and seasonal cuisine made with locally sourced produce. The menu features a variety of dishes, including Thai fish cakes, Moroccan lamb tagine, Spanish tortilla, pies, and quiches. Run by New Zealanders, the cafe serves salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and delectable cakes. Additionally, Mint in Windsor Street is known for its healthy food options suitable for various dietary requirements and an ever-changing lineup.
If you are looking for a great breakfast spot, this is the one. Great selection of savoury and sweet dishes in the display case, that tasted as great as they looked - amazing. I had the mini breakfast cup with a lentil salad on the side and it was so good. My husband had the croque monsieur , and he said it was equally as good. This cafe is run by some super friendly Kiwis, and as an Aussie I was so happy to see they have flat whites on the menu. Also a great location by the beach with nice outdoor and indoor seating, if you are in Sliema, we highly recommend this for an awesome breakfast and good conversation.

Fantastic place for a breakfast, they have a large choice of savory and sweet dishes, from all types of sandwiches (with meat and vegetarian) to oats and cakes. When it comes to morning drinks, there is so much choice too: coffee, fresh juices and even beer. The staff is super friendly as well. For your first meal of the day, you will leave with your tummy full and with energy recharged.

Amazing food, amazing coffee, best choice for foodies in Malta, who like yummie salads, healthy food and amazing smoothies. This is - since years - one of my favorite places to go to in Malta - and I don’t know if I am just being nostalgic, but I love the variety of different offers and their Israeli Couscous which they have every now and then...

Pizza restaurant
Italian restaurant
San Paolo Naufrago is a charming pizzeria and wine bar located in the heart of Valletta, Malta. Since 1938, this family-run establishment has been serving up fresh parma pizzas, charcuterie platters, and an extensive selection of local and foreign wines. The cozy wine bar offers a warm and relaxed atmosphere where diners can enjoy live music while savoring their meals.
We decided to try the lasagna, which was recommended on the menu – and we were not disappointed. The dish was excellent, generously topped with cheese and served piping hot. Since all tables for the evening had already been reserved more than a week in advance, we went to the restaurant without a reservation around 4 p.m. After a short wait, we were able to get a table without any problems. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but absolutely reasonable given the quality, location, and ambience. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit – highly recommended. We will definitely be back!
Christian K — Google review
Beautiful place for dinner. The seats are distributed above the stairs, romantic fairy lights give the place a magical glow. You should have a table reservation or wait until a table is assigned. The waiting time is rewarded with an excellent meal. The pizza was outstanding, the lasagna highly recommended. We'd love to come back!
Dirk K — Google review
We had a lovely experience at San Paolo Naufrago in Valletta. The service was superb – friendly, attentive, and efficient – and the atmosphere was wonderful, with charming surroundings that make it a perfect spot to soak up the city’s vibe. It’s definitely worth booking in advance though; the queues were very long for walk-ins and quite a number of people were turned away , and we could see why! The only downside for us was the limited menu during our visit – pizza and lasagna were the only main courses available – but both were delicious and freshly made. A great place for a relaxed meal in the heart of Valletta. There is a minimum spend of €25 per person, which wasn’t an issue for us because we had starters, desserts and drinks as well. However, if you’re on a budget, you need to be aware of this.
Georgina T — Google review
Great atmosphere, beautiful place, good food. Delicious bruschetta, good lasagna, but for my taste, it could be a bit more intense and spicy. The pizza with burrata, mortadella, and pistachios was fantastic. A storm broke out during our meal, so the staff quickly gathered our belongings and moved us to the free balcony upstairs. Highly recommended. A mandatory 25€ per person minimum spend
Weronika S — Google review
One of the nicest, of the Italian street restaurants in Valletta. It's set at the top of the street running down to the waterfront in Valletta and actually is on both sides of the street. Small tables are arranged down the street's steps. It's a little precarious sitting on the metal seats on the narrow steps, but that's all part of the experience. They do have inside tables, but on a nice day, sitting outside is the place to be. Service is quick, friendly and professional. The wine list is excellent as are the beers and cocktails available. All of which is reasonably priced. Our pizzas were delicious. Great toppings and cooked to perfection. Homemade deserts looked fantastic, but we were too full to contemplate one! We went at lunchtime and we're lucky enough to get a table - you can guarantee they will be busy. If your in Valletta do try this lovely place. You won't be disappointed.
Paul B — Google review
It was one of the coziest and prettiest restaurants in Valleta. The prices aren’t the lowest, but reasonable. The food was extraordinary but still tasty. The best factor was the atmosphere🙂
Laura M — Google review
I tried pasta, pizza and bruschetta, the food is delicious, the cocktails are also fantastic. the food arrives quickly and the waiters are very friendly. definitely the most beautiful place for taking pictures in Valletta
Kristina N — Google review
Decided to visit the restaurant after a TikTok recommendation and decided to book for my birthday. We reserved online and we didn’t have any wait. The food was very good and the service was impeccable. They were so fast with the service and we got our food and drinks not long after ordering. I do have 2 things that I found to be a downfall as I did have high expectations. We decided to get dessert as it was my birthday and I got a tiramisu. I was very disappointed by it. They replaced the coffee with Bailey’s which for an Italian restaurant was not the best look. We told the server this as well he apologised but I know he couldn’t do much about it. Another disappointment was when booking it asked if we had a special occasion which I wrote down and unfortunately no acknowledgement was made. I’m sure they get this all the time so I’m not sure if they pick and choose or if they just don’t bother with it anymore. I did find my cocktail in a small bath tub very hilarious.

Grano, a charming eatery nestled in the heart of Valletta, Malta, is a must-visit for food enthusiasts. During the day, patrons can savor the delightful Ftira sandwiches served in generous portions with delectable fillings. The staff is efficient and ensures guests are comfortably seated. At night, Grano transforms into a vibrant hangout offering an array of cocktails and drinks at its bar.
Fresh, hearty sandwiches at Grano, packed with filling and flavor, whether it’s spicy chicken, pulled pork, burrata or tuna. Well worth the wait! The staff are friendly, and the view in Valletta adds to the experience. Definitely a must‑try.

Delicious sandwiches, there was a large choice of them and it was reasonably priced. I’ve removed 1 star because all cocktails are 10€+ and are not worth the price in my opinion, better get a soft drink while you’re there.

We visited this sandwich place and it honestly had some of the best sandwiches we’ve ever eaten – absolutely delicious! The atmosphere around the restaurant was also really nice. The setup was unique, with the kitchen on one side of the street and the bar on the other, which gave the place a special charm.

Grano is such a solid sandwich spot- great views, chill vibe, and awesome atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and the food came out fast and fresh. The sandwiches were delicious and super filling. I wish I could have lunch here every day and just relax on the streets of Malta. Highly recommend, even if there’s a wait- totally worth it!
T R — Google review
Good portion for the price and tasted good. Accessible location being near to a lot of shops and the centre of Valletta. Maybe one extra vegetarian choice would be good, or the option to take meat out, as there are only 2 options which are quite cheesy. Service was good, but the waiter kind of looked like he hated being there which ruined the vibe a little bit.
Lucy R — Google review
Delicious sandwiches - only thing is they are a bit pushy with tables, which I understand as they are limited, but we were seated and waiting for our sandwich (they either forgot or couldn’t find us), waiting >10mins, and once we had them we ate quickly as we were hungry. When we were almost done we asked about coffee (takeaway as we like to stroll and sip) but they made a point to say no we are waiting for your table (even though they don’t do coffee - they could just say that, no?) Tables can be managed a bit better as you are only allowed to sit once you’ve ordered (so we missed a table), then had to get takeaway although we were happy to sit, but after we ordered there was an available table so we sat, having to go up to the counter to let them know/remind them, but still had to sit and wait for our sandwiches (to reheat as they are premade), but then rushed even though we ate quickly - we spent longer waiting for the sandwich on a table than eating.
Jemima — Google review
Alright sandwich, though nothing amazing - the bread was a bit dry and crunchy, and the filling was cold in the middle. I felt that €8 was a bit overpriced for the quality. I suspect it's probably the location and view that keeps this place busy. The guy with the tattoos that brought my sandwich out was nice enough but the other guy that took my order at the counter was badly attempting to flirt, which as a solo woman just wanting some food and to sit down, it was a bit annoying.
Lisa M — Google review
Don’t let the crowds or pictures fool you. Lot of tourists don’t know better (myself included). The food is terrible. Old and dry chicken. Salty to the point of being near inedible. The people are nice enough. Opt away from fast food for better food ! To the management: please taste your food.

one star because of the "lady" that checked my stuff. she did my receipt and asked me how I want to pay. I payed with my card and then with 10 plus products I asked for a bag and she charged me 25 cents for it and it took me 3 minutes to find an euro to pay for it. She could assume I will need a bag for all those products.

If you're on the hunt for a quick and healthy treat while exploring Sliema, look no further than OAKBERRY AÇAÍ. This vibrant spot specializes in authentic Brazilian acai bowls, offering a delightful array of toppings and mix-ins that cater to every palate. Imagine savoring a refreshing bowl while gazing out at the sea—it's an experience that transports you straight to Brazil!
Staff member was SO friendly and helpful! My açai bowl was delicious, a great healthy option. There is some indoor, bar style seating but I chose to takeaway.
Katrina — Google review
Absolutely love Oakberry! Their açaí bowls are super fresh, delicious, and packed with healthy ingredients. I especially enjoyed the mix with chia pudding, granola, banana, and strawberries—so refreshing and satisfying! The portions are generous, and the quality is consistent every time. Perfect for a sunny day by the sea or a quick healthy treat with a friend. Highly recommended!
Gizem G — Google review
We visited Oakberry and tried their açaí bowl – and it was honestly the best açaí bowl we’ve ever had! The flavors were amazing and super fresh. However, the service was quite slow. (There was only one employee) There were only about four seats inside, and no seating available outside. Instead, there was a rolled-out green carpet outside that didn’t look very inviting. Despite these issues, the food itself was absolutely delicious. If we were rating just the açaí, it would be five stars – but overall, considering the service and atmosphere, it’s more like three stars.

I love oak berry and i love malta i will come back here, this store has really kind staff i recommend ❤️

Today I was assisted by Erika and the experience was excellent. She was very kind, attentive, and her smile made the visit even more enjoyable. The açaí was delicious, with an authentic taste of Brazil, and thanks to her recommendation I tried a combination I really loved. I’ll definitely be coming back

Wow this place must have fake reviews! Most disgusting acai bowl I’ve ever had! Had to be thrown in the bin! Everything was so stale! Unripe bitter fruit! Chia pudding seemed days old! Seriously in need of some quality control in here! Uk oakberry chains are decent, but this one absolutely hideous!!

Dive Systems Malta is a family-run diving business located in Sliema, Malta, with a history dating back to 1978. The team of instructors has been praised for their exceptional teaching skills and attention to detail. Visitors have described their experiences as unforgettable and commend the staff for making them feel at ease and excited about diving. The instructors are known for providing thorough explanations of equipment and procedures, instilling a sense of safety throughout the courses.
Just completed my sixth time diving with Dive Systems Malta, my go to Operator when visiting this wonderful country. This is a genuinely family run business, which makes you feel part of the family from day one. Simon and his experienced team cater for all levels of diver from novice to deep technical, one off try dives to full dive trip packages. Safety is paramount and the guides / instructors ensure clients are comfortable before, during and after each dive. The team are very helpful and equipment well maintained in probably the best dive centre in Malta. Our tec guide for the week, Stephen McElhone, provided informative briefings and was only too happy to share his extensive knowledge and experience of diving issues. On my experience, I am happy to recommend Dive Systems Malta to anyone thinking of diving in Malta.

Two amazing boat dives with Dive Systems today. We had a very experienced Dive Guide (Sebastian) who made us welcome from the word go. I would highly recommend diving with this team. All safety procedures were observed by both the boat Capt and the dive team before we set off which is nice to see.

Such a brilliant 1at dive experience for my two children (11yrs and 13yrs), they’d never tried any scuba diving before so we booked in for the trial dive. Sebastian and Jennifer really made it for us - they put my nervous daughter at ease instantly and helped my over excited son learn some skills in the water quickly! I’d 100% recommend this place for a really professional, fun and encouraging 1st dive experience. Thank you.

I am over the moon that we went with this dive centre for our first certified dive. I was extremely nervous as everyone seemed more competent than myself but Steven our guide was patient and understood that I needed a bit more of his time. We enjoyed a cave and a wreck Dive which is so much more than I thought possible. Thank you so much for this experience Simon and staff

Fundiving was really good. Instructors like Sebastian, Florian and Riccardo bring diving to life! A lot of senior instructors to do tec with here so explore that.. good logistics, equipment and very high safety standards.

great diving with Stephen and Nadine! Took an advanced wreck course with them. The course was intense, a lot of long dives, deep penetrations, laying lines and went into places I wouldn't otherwise be able to. Highly recommend instructor Stephen to anyone who wants to learn tech!

I did my open water course at Dive Systems and can not recommend it enough! Very good experience from the first phone call to Esteban to the actual course with Jules and Seba. Both very knowledgeable and kind instructors, they made the course easy and fun. It’s a very personalized course, we were only 2 students and this allows the instructor full focus on the individual. The gear is well maintained and in very good condition. The center is very well maintained and in the perfect location to go directly at sea. Thank you both for these 3 days that were very enjoyable!

I completed my Open Water referral with Dive Systems and would recommend it to absolutely everyone. Everyone greets you and is very friendly the minute you enter. The space is nice and big so there is plenty of space for all the equipments and changing and it's right on the beach. But most importantly because my instructor Joel was so so great. I had one to one instruction which was great plus he always gave really clear briefings, had great energy and social skills all the time, lots of patience with my questions and immediately put me at ease. I'm feeling very confident now and will recommend the centre to anyone. Thank you for The experience

2nd day ordering something from Dr Juice and I recommend highly! I got the Strawberry Energy juice, it was so delicious I went back again the next day to order it again! I also tried the mango chicken wrap which was really tasty and such an easy grab and go option! Staff were lovely too! Seems to be open most of the day so really handy if staying nearby.

The food is healthy and I really enjoyed it. I ordered a mango smoothie and the woman who served me charged me €8. However the next day when I returned to Dr. Juice I discovered that the price of the smoothie is actually €6. I'm sorry but that doesn't seem right to me. It's not just about the €2, it’s the dishonest thought behind it. If there are issues with your pay or salary please discuss them with your boss tourists shouldn't be responsible for solving your problems. Therefore I can only give you one star.

Escape room center
Scavenger Escape Malta is the first escape room on the island, offering brain-teasing team-building activities for friends, family, or colleagues. With three different rooms to choose from - Egyptian adventure (easy), Mozart's mystery (hard), and Secret surgery (medium) - there's something for everyone. The game keeps you thinking with various puzzles and locks to crack. While it may be a bit challenging for children, it's great fun for adults.
This is so much fun! I have done all the rooms and it’s a really good activity to do with work as a team building or with a group of friends, there are 3 different rooms to choose between and 3 levels! Egyptian adventure - easy ⚱️⚰️☀️ Mozart’s mystery - hard ⚖️📻🎼🎻 Secret surgery - medium 📋🔬📽 Great fun for everyone but may be a bit hard for children.. Defiantly recommending this to everyone that likes puzzle, mysteries and solving riddles 🔍
Elin A — Google review
First of all I would like to oblige everyone considering this escape room to know that at the time of my visiting there were barely any other people in the facility, so more personal customer service could have been given. The escape room in its self should be advertised against anyone above the age of 12, as their seemingly complex puzzles were just too simple and required no thought as half of them could have been completed by trial and error. On another note the staff presented themselves as friendly or so to say they were told to be as when my group and I thought we could have a bit of fun they were quick to respond with a hostile attitude. I don't usually write such reviews but the thought that someone else could waste their time and money in this childish environment brings annoyance to my self conscience. This activity is a good group idea however I would recommend the later option we have in Malta of such an escape room, 'Can You Escape?' located in Fgura. I hope this review was of help to you ..
Graham P — Google review
Has good escape rooms and also offers a special treasure hunt around the city of Valletta. Very kind and helpful staff. Only escape room facility on the island.
Mark I — Google review
We were a little concerned after reading some reviews about this escape room company but had a fantastic time! My partner and I completed the Mozart room with just 5 minutes to spare. We are experienced escape room players but needed a few hints to get through this game! It kept us thinking throughout with various puzzles to solve and locks to crack! We had a fabulous polite game master who was very attentive and great at giving hints when asked. I definitely recommend this room!
Kimberley S — Google review
Loved it. We did medium level. We did not finish in time. Sad times. But loads of fun. Staff were absolutely the best! Very friendly and gave us 15 extra minutes to finish :) There's 3 games. Easy medium hard. Enjoyed the game, loads to do to keep your mind engaged. Definitely worth a try if you're in Malta.
Rickesh C — Google review
We had an awful experience at this place. Go to Can You Escape instead at all costs, it was infinitely better. The woman who was there the night we went was incredibly rude. We asked if we could use the bathroom before the escape room and she said there was a problem with it that she needed to "manage" so that we could only go after we finished the room. When we said we needed to go before she said we could go in the middle of the room, and refused to pause the time we were allowed to allow this. She rolled her eyes at us constantly for our apparently audacious request. The room itself was very poorly thought out, with no structure, unclear clues and no way to tell what the clue was connected to. Upon finishing, the woman quickly pushed us out the door without even taking a photo of us with the sign like every other place I have been to does. I realised when I left that my ring had fallen off into the glove that was required to be used for one of the puzzles. As I was walking towards the door she already rolled her eyes aggressively at me which was very unpleasant. We payed a lot of money for this room, I would have expected better service and treatment. Absolute disgrace.
Molly D — Google review
Yesterday night I did the surgery room with my boyfriend. We escaped with 2 minutes left. I did plenty of rooms before this one in many different countries and I have to say this one was definitly the worst one yet, for this price you can find a better one. Some of the locks were very stiff, unlogical puzzles, and a lot of unnecessary/distracting stuff in the room. We arrived 20 minutes before we had to be there and when we finished the room we had to go away as quickly as possible. The women wasn't very friendly and even the picture was to much. Tuesday we'll be trying the other company. 'can you escape room'
Charlotte H — Google review
We did the scavenger hunt, it was a nice twist to the escape rooms we do a lot. The only issue with the scavenger hunt is that you have to pay for the ferry to Valetta while its part of the hunt. The costs per person are €2.80 back and forth. What can be better: tell the participants that you have to pay CASH for the ferry or give the participants money for the ferry since you get money for a treasure hunt you don't really have to do anything for after the first setup.

The National War Museum - Fort St Elmo, established in 1975, offers a restored space to delve into Malta's military history through its collection of artifacts and exhibits. The museum is located within the Valletta shopping scene, where visitors can explore various designer brand shops and luxurious retailers along Republic Street. The museum also holds historical significance as it played a crucial role in the defense strategy against Ottoman threats in 1565.
Great museum and place to discover history of Malta. I spent here around 3 hours before it is closed and really want to come back and see some more missed halls. Also there are great views to Sliema and other districts. Definitely worth the visit. Highly recommend 👍🏼

One of the best museums in Malta. You will want 3 hours here to take in the sites, view points and lean about the history. A good 500 years of history is covered. Air con inside, and most of the museum is indoors. One of the few wheel chair friendly museums in Malta.

Very impressed by this historic monument. A bastion full of history, so beautiful and so wonderfully preserved. The tour is well structured and allows you to see lots of interesting things about such a wide span of history. My favorite part is on the Great Siege. I highly recommend this must-see!

The fort and the history of Malta at war is very interesting. The stead of the National War Museum over different buildings makes it more appealing. Beautiful views all around!
YF F — Google review
What an excellent place to visit whilst in Valletta for the day! For just €10 you get access to the fort and war museum, plus some picturesque views across the bay. The museum itself was really well done, with a mix of written displays and video exhibits to really bring the stories to life. Each era is split across different buildings, so there is a fair bit of walking involved (including stairs) but it’s well worth it! Easy to spend 1-2 hours here.
Katrina — Google review
Very well laid out, excellent and informative displays. Told the story if this amazing island really well. Original George Cross medal on display. Loved it. Allow min 2 hours. Wonderful views too.
Brenda P — Google review
Brilliant. Spend half a day here, easily, and you'll come away with a comprehensive picture of this island nation's endurance through siege and war. Sensitive use of video to highlight key times is a real bonus, and the movement through the centuries is clear and well marked. The magnificent buildings are well kept and hugely impressive. Great views of the harbour are a real bonus.

The National Museum of Archaeology is located in the historic Auberge de Provence, a 16th-century building. It showcases a diverse collection of prehistoric artifacts, weapons, and sculptures found on the Maltese islands. The museum provides an extensive overview of Malta's prehistory, spanning from the Neolithic period to the Phoenician period. Visitors can marvel at early tools, pottery, and various depictions of animals and human figures dating back thousands of years.
I was sad the Neolithic section was closed for construction, (I wanted to see the Venus!) but the areas available were well presented and interesting. The displays of coinage and medals throughout the centuries was very interesting to this numismatist! And I'm pretty sure that's an alien's skull in the display... you'll have to see for yourself!
Traci N — Google review
Some museums win you over with their collections, others with their architecture. This one does both, which frankly feels a bit greedy. Housed in a building so beautiful you could happily wander it empty, the museum is a reminder that the Maltese don’t do “ordinary” when it comes to stonework. The exhibitions are superbly curated — thoughtful, detailed, and arranged with a clear sense of storytelling. You move from prehistoric figurines to intricate artifacts with the feeling that someone has actually thought about the journey you’re on, rather than just shoving things in glass cases and hoping for the best. And yet, in the middle of all this, there’s the numismatic collection. Perfectly fine if you’re a coin enthusiast, but otherwise it’s a bit like finding a box of receipts in the middle of a grand opera. Interesting in its way, but it does feel like it wandered in from another museum and decided to stay. Still, that’s a minor quibble. Between the building itself, the sheer depth of the collection, and the skill with which it’s presented, this is one of those rare museums where you leave feeling smarter — and only partly because you spent two hours reading captions in your “educational” voice. Five stars, and I’d come back just to walk through that building again, coins and all.
Arik — Google review
Bottom section currently closed not sure for how long but upper level was open. There was still a lot of cool and interesting stuff to check out from various periods. The history is incredible. I would say a must see.

An enjoyable audio visual tour of Malta and its history. The kids in particular enjoyed the 3D aspect of the tour. After showing the tickets at reception, you walk a short distance to pick up your 3D glasses and then you enter the auditorium and wait for the audio visual tour to start. Knocking one star off as it is probably slightly overpriced given the show lasts approx 20 mins.
