This is a very fine art museum. Not big in any size but just about right if you're looking for temporary art exhibitions on special themes and occasions. I like it also because the standing exhibition on the 'Halmstad Group' is not only an idea but presented a standing exposition. Very nice and small art shop at the entrance as well as a small, but refreshing café. Very friendly museum staff! It's definitely worth any visit to come here...

Fine sand beach with a beautiful view. Perfect beach for family with kids which means it can get really crowded on a warm summer day. There are restaurants close by and public toilets too.

Oooo, how I love this. The architectural design is so good I love it. You get your own library card as well, that's very nice. Food is delicious and I would totally eat here again. I go there to relax and read.

I really enjoy to spend time in libraries, losing myself reading books and Halmstad City Library is a wonderful place, the library is big and there is even a space for kids so they can play there while you are reading or studying. The variety of book is also very good so I highly recommend this place. There is also a coffee so you can grab a drink or food.

Visited this place to use the swimming pools with my two kids. Nice facilities and very friendly staff. Good entry fee, not too expensive. Three big swimming pools and one jacuzzi. Both kids pool and baby pool are heated. A cafe serves ice cream, snacks, soda and coffee all allowed to be consumed in the swimming area.

Date of visit: 29th August 2025 I visited Halmstad Slott on a Friday at 4 pm. We didn’t go inside the castle as it is not open for public, just admired the castle’s exterior and spent time in the charming square courtyard. The area by the Nissan River was peaceful and beautifully tranquil. An old-style ship was moored nearby, which added a lovely touch and made for some great photos. A note for future visitors: the interior is generally not open to the public, except for select guided tours on certain occasions.

Loved the concept of having a well maintained, well constructed swimming pool available for public access. This must be extremely popular among resident of Halmstad, especially kids. Super thumbs up!!!

Big full length pool (50m) and 2 large children pools for different age groups, clean and tidy and amazingly it’s completely free to enter. A tip is to come in the early morning (07:00 or when they open) during the summer when it’s calm, beautiful and fresh. Join some of the Halmstad pensioners for a morning swim (many into their 80s and even 90s!) who have had this tradition for decades. During the day it can get a bit busy with families but always worth a visit!

Nice place for a swim when the sea is still cold. There are 3 pools, in varying depths. There are changing rooms, bathrooms and an ice-cream kiosk. There's even basic but fun waterslide. Although the area around the pool is mostly dull concrete the rest of the area is nice and green with large open lawns.

Generally a nice place for a picnic, however, there are just too many people on the warm days. There should definitely be a entry fee where you can use changing rooms as well since it actually costs to use them right now. I genuinely think that it would be for the better.

A lovely visit here to museum is what everyone should check that one rainy day when your doing the laundry and have an extra hour to kill. This is the place to visit if the previous mentioned things fits you and your life style. Heck even if it's not raining check it.Ps: they have done some rebuilding. So it's bigger better then it was before. 👍

Service is non-existing by design, you order in an app, you pick up the food yourself and you pay in the app. On this Sunday evening it was quite slow and about 1/4 of the tables was occupied. Still, almost everybody was placed in the center of the restaurant. We had 4 other tables occupied within 2 meters of our tabel while the rest of the tables was almost empty. The weather was fantastic considering it's in Sweden. The bathrooms and the showers where clean and there where great camping grounds. But most of the showers had some sort of problem, either the temperature was not changeable or it was not possible to use the overhead shower. The placement wasn't very great either since they placed my family and possibly others at the youngsters area. There was a lot of noice and music at both day and night. But overall I'm happy with my experience.

It is super loud! Third time we have been there. Beautiful place but seems like there is a place for youngsters liking parties. There are plenty othe places to go where you can sleep nicely over night. I'm not going there any more.

Nice place, not to long walk to the beach, about 6-7 min. We have been here every year the last 5 years and still going so have to mean something. Always had to bring our own barbecue, but now that's available as well.

Good location, but bad infrastructure. The beach is very nice, but unfortunately that is the only positive I can say about this camping. The toilets and showers were dirty and shabby. Always at least one toilet broken or without toilet paper. And even if they all worked, there are not enough toilets and showers for the camping size. Also at least 1 laundry machine is broken. But the adult men behaving like teenagers and playing music loudly all day and shouting all night is what really makes this camping a hell. And the camping staff and/or night watch hardly does anything to guarantee the quiet hours. When confronted with the situation they avoid their reponsability by saying that that will look into it, but nothing happens. Based on the numerous similar bad reviews, this is a yearly recurring problem that they should be aware of by now and should have plenty of time to resolve. If you are a family traveling with children by tent, like us, do not stay in this camping unless you are a fan of waiting a long time for a dirty toilet or shower and do not care about sleeping at night.

One of the most beautiful seaside of Sweden is in front on the camping place - Tylosand beach. The campsite is quite big and we'll organised, but the shop is too small, the selection of bread in the morning even smaller. The sanitary buildings are not cleaned, two days later you can still find the same dirt I'm the shower.

Contrary to all other accomodations this provider doesn't accept either free cancellation or a voucher for 2021. We are from Germany and can't travel to Sweden by governmental restrictions. They are not willing to find a customer friendly solution.

Don't come here because when we came here we put our shoes on the bench like the other people then we went inside to play then we finished playing and I was looking for my shoe and some one stole it ,so we spoke to the manager and she said its not there problem its our problem and we said check the camera and they said they don't have any cameras and then they and we said there are cameras then they said they don't work so there lying and the managers behavior was terrible and my shoe was red and black jordans and it costed 124£ so don't come here they are stupid idiots .

Nice, and fresh, but hardly unique. The large building is full of fast slides and activity areas. There are sports areas, ball pools, a pirate ship and a very decently sized & separated area for little tots. Nice touch that the Airhockey tables are free. But then with a 159kr entrance fee its hardly cheap.

Lot's of fun for kids. Different attractions for kids in various age. I would say everyone can find something to do there. There is not much of a choice in food overall. You can not bring in your own food, which is bad in case your kid is on a special diet (gluten - free, etc).

Very nice playground for kids. My personal favorite for adults. Lots of seating placed. If you want your kid to jump and fool around for a couple of hours you must visit it. My only remark is it that it is a bit pricey

I had an annual card before pandemi and in that time it was good just for playing. Today I had a birthday party in Leo but the service was not good at all. We book a room for party and paid 264 SEK per person and they should serve us the following items Entrance to the playground Private party room (60 minutes) Party hostess Popcorn Leo's jungle juice Ice cream bomb with meringues, chocolate sauce and sprinkles Leo's candy bag for all children Gift for the party child Coffee for two adults Pancakes for all children But they serve everything late and all children waiting in the room. We did most of party hostess. Ice cream was melted. They didn't know their job. When I told them that I am not satisfied the manager apologied and gave a gift card but it doesn't compensate bad service. I don't recommend this place for birthday party.

Clean and well kept

Nice, open place to enjoy the sun. Best thing is you can enjoy the sun and the wind from the river. So you not gonna feel so hot. It is located in the centre of the city. So almost once a week go there and enjoy after finishing shopping, eating, medical etc. There are loads of flowers and trees. Different kinds of sitting arrangements. There are arrangements for kayak as well. I'm not sure where.

A nice, small, lovely park opposite of Halmstad castle. A set of artistry adds a picturesque touch to this area. Seating benches invite to relax on a summer's day.

Great way to spend an afternoon with some friends or family. It's a little costly, but it's completely worth it concidering the endless amounts of fun one will have

Very big fun place for kids. I always use it as break on a way down the coast to let daughter run and get tired, quite good food, but was very long wait time after ordering the meal, almost an hour and there was not that many people.
