The Zoo is a nice size zoo that has great exhibits. A few of them actually allow you to walk within the exhibit as long as you stay on the path. Well laid out paths. Plenty of parking in a grass lot just past the zoo entrance. Buy your tickets online prior to your arrival and save a little money!

Great zoo experience with something for all ages. From dinosaurpark to pettingzoo, inovative varied information and some very friendly staff who are also very invested in telling about the different animals and their stories. Their food could do with some more quality vs pricelevel though.

Aalborg Zoo is a fantastic family-friendly destination! We had a wonderful time exploring the zoo with our kids. They were thrilled to see the impressive dinosaur exhibit, which sparked their imagination. The highlight for them was definitely the big cats – the tigers and lions were magnificent. We also enjoyed watching the zebras and giraffes, and the penguins were absolutely adorable. The lemurs added a playful touch to our visit. The zoo offers a great variety of animals and plenty of interactive experiences for children. Highly recommended for a fun-filled family day out!

A truly fantastic experience! I loved the focus on rare and endangered species like the magnificent Asian lions and Bornean orangutans. The zoo balances serious conservation with family fun; the Dinosaur Land exhibit, with its life-size characters, was an absolute highlight that the children loved. A must-visit attraction for anyone in the region!

2025-10-15 - Far from being the best zoo we have visited (family of 5 persons). It wasn’t a bad experience, but not really good either. We spend 4 hours here and was asked several times by our kids when should leave (age 10, 7 and 4). There was a Halloween theme, which was made quite well, but sadly it wasn’t enough to change our experience. Also parking the car was a mess as there wasn’t enough parking spots.

Really had a good time at this place . They have quite a good range of animals . You can easily spend upto 3 hours. A lot of eating place and kids play area . The place is kept quite clean and organized . And jot far from the city center.

Really good experience to visit as a family, we had a good time. Especially exciting to learn about uproar in Northern Jutland over centuries, a special exhibit. We were also captured by the story of the Churchill group and the story of the boys and young men during WW2, what they did in Aalborg to resist against the occupation 💪🏽💯 Very reasonable coffee/tea/hot chocolate 👍🏽

A great museum. It's filled with the history of Aalborg, since the first human occupations until recent periods. There are guides who speak both English and Danish. The signs on the walls that explain the exhibition's pieces are all in Danish, but there are panflets in English that have the translations. The collections are amazing. There are ancient instruments of torture, of housing, of common daily objects, of a classroom, of clothes. There's a part of the museum that is entirely dedicated to the German occupation during World War II that is really interesting, and the guide had many outstanding comments on how people lived through this period.

Quite hectic and boring museum if you are not extremely into random facts about Aalborg. Would be nice if the exhibition would be more organized

The museum has done a good job with the English translations since earlier comments, so I recommend visiting them. It stood out to me how they tried to depict their subjects as human beings, be it a medieval folk hero, an executioner or a 14-year-old bride.

Well worth it

Beautiful museum showcasing the life and works of the famous Danish architect who conceptualised the Sydney Opera House and various other beautiful buildings. The museum hallways talk about the life and works of the architect while there are separate rooms for some of his most important works. These give a good insight into the mind of the great man! There is also a section to get hands on and build structures with LEGO bricks or get on a computer and build some models. There is a robotics lab for use by the local university and a nice little courtyard. Such useful places! Finally there is a restaurant too but I didn’t try this one.

A charming little museum, a definite hidden gem of Aalborg! You can see models of Utzon's projects (realised and not), there are several rooms with changing exposition and workshops (currently occupied by the University of Aalborg). The adjacent restaurant is also lovely

At the Luton centre you can find out more about Jørn Utzon and the Opera house in Sydney. It is really interesting. In addition to this, the Utzon center has an exhibition of sustainable construction. I would say that was my favourite part of the Utzon center. Here you can see that Danish architects have great inspiration for a sustainable future. The exhibition displays models of furnitures, prototypes, building elements and much more. The exhibition for sustainable construction is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend to everyone to visit the Utzon Center.

Fantastic museum with very innovative and techdesigned experiences. Lego building Utzon architecture in an enviroment where your design can be scanned into a minecraft 3d universe that you can experience with VR. Brilliantly done. The rest of the museum offers some fine examples of how you as a guest can interact with the theme of a museum when it's well designed. You can build with different materials in workshops or walk around and view Utzons designs from different angles.

This ist a wonderful exhibition, great staff, intelligent concept, creative and inspiring. It depicts the spirit of arcitecture and connects it with the people. It has some well-selected pieces and is beautifully situated.

A museum about Danish architecture, especially the architect of the iconic opera in Sidney. The museum is not that big and the price might seem a little steep, but in my opinion it is worth it. You will find interesting exhibits and workshops also can participate in some activities like building with lego block or create collapsible structures folding paper. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

The building itself is worth a visit! I found the sommerhouse-exhibition very entertaining. It’s not a big building so you can get through within 1-2 hours. Stuff to do for older kids as well!

Walked to the art museum from the old town, entry is VERY expensive for us 3rd world visitors! Reception was friendly and the art was interesting. Even a couple of pieces by Picasso! Very interesting architecture and museum is well laid out and spacious. Also the garden has some fun sculpture and an entertaining water fountain. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Also, the tower for viewing the city is a short walk up the hill..combine the 2 in an outing.

Great museum designed by Alvar Aalto. You will also find many of his furniture and luminaries inside and outside. There is easy access and ample parking nearby. We visited between exhibitions, so we were only allowed into part of the museum. The shop is well worth visiting if you like Danish design.

I pulled up in my campervan for the night and walked the cemetery with the sun setting. Really magical place with good energy… a must if a visit.

Beautiful historical landmark with lots of history and informative sites, would recommend. There were informations at each of the little stations in the outside park, but some of the information was only written in danish. Nonetheless I was able to learn a lot without having to buy an entry ticket into the museum, but I’m sure that would’ve been worth the money too!!

A really nice park to just relax and enjoy your day on the outside. The whole idea of the singing trees is just amazing! It's wonderful to go on the park of music pressing the buttons and getting to hear a little bit of each artist that has visited the city and planted a tree (musical and ecological experience).

Super cool place to visit. Interesting reading about the danish maritime history. The submarine was nice step into history. I went during mid-summer weekend and it wasn’t busy. I can recommend visiting if you are in the area.

As a former Royal Navy Submariner, I was particularly eager to explore the HDMS Springeren. The museum was quite peaceful during my visit, allowing me to take my time on board without feeling rushed. The rest of the museum features fascinating artifacts and impressive model ships. If you have any interest in maritime history and find yourself in the area, it's definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful museum with lots of fantastic models and information! It's a must if you like the sea and/or want to get into a submarine. It's also a great place for kids as it has a playground and it's possible to celebrate birthday parties on site. A very human and pet-friendly place, you're allowed to bring your food and eat there, while dogs are allowed on leash. Come to see -among other interesting items- a model of the Royal Ship Dannebrog and learn some new things!

AMAZING maritime museum, in my eyes a world class museum with a near endless exhibits. I could sense the work, effort and passion that went into this museum and its displays. Must have been several hundred models of just about every type of ship you could think of. These aren't basic models these are INTRICATE and DETAILED pieces of art, that took months to create by real artisans. THEN there is the submarine!! I can't imagine a more intact submarine on display anywhere else. This one looks like the crew was in there a few days doing their work. Dials, switches and valves all worked, could even use and focus the periscope!!! In America a display like this would have been striped to the hull before opening it to the public.

A great maritime experience for adults and children. A huge submarine(Springer) is displayed outdoor which allows you to enter and explore the inner workings as well. An area is dedicated to explain the history of ancient houses of Aalborg with cute little models. The Shipyard hall contains wide variety of exhibits that takes us back in history. The information regarding each exhibit is explained in english too!!! I would recommend to keep enough time in hand to explore all the exhibits.

Good collection of the war supplies as weapons protection and vehicles. The good thing here is many equipment you can touch and play with. Even the big tanks you can get in and take a look. Kids had a lot of fun. Good for the weekend

One of the best military museums I’ve been to outside the greats - imperial war museum etc… friendly staff -really interesting exhibits of Danish military history. I’d go out of my way to come here.

A LOT of military vehicles and gear. The museum feels kinda crowded, there's really a lot of things being shown in a relatively small space. Descriptions on items are lacking in many places, and some exhibits don't have English descriptions.

Great spot for a great price. There's two huge hangers, an outside parking and an underground bunker all filled with military equipment on display. The main hanger also features side rooms with extra collections like medals or WW2 resistance displays. We spent a couple hours there, and for 80 DKK it's well worth the price. There is free parking nearby.

A great place to be, especially during summer time. There is room for outdoor swimming, in a "fenced" area or you can decide to swim in the fjord. During summertime, there are many people swimming around, buying ice cream, playing beach volley, playing basketball, rollerblading, skateboarding or having a go on the outdoor gym. There are a few free parking spots, behind the park that are available, but otherwise it isn't that far from the town centre. It is also close to Aalborg streetfood, which I highly recommend! Open all year round, although, there are only lifeguards during summertime.

If you want to go hang out in the summer and go swimming this is probably one of the best places in Denmark. Great place for people watching too.

The place is nice. It has several swimming pools as well as grass area. The water is very shallow, an artificial beach, so it is a great place for kids to play in the water. Toilets are available on site, as well as a little kiosk. Some irritating things about the place are that the water are not always clean (some white foaming in the water). The showers have been turned off. The pools are being cleaned during the year, however, the caretakers don't always bother to inform the public that the pools are being emptied :-( Free parking is available. Aalborg Street food is just 10-15 minutes walking. Have fun. ;-)

A small cafe shop. Also hosts a private sauna club, diving club, canoeing club. Places to play wallyball in sand, football on grass and 1 half a basketball on pavement. A ground for bodyweight exercises / parkour training. And some open air trampolines to jump on. Good free parking too.

To reach Egholm you get on a tiny Ferry. The ride is about 5 min. A two way ticket was kr 28 for adults and free for children. On the Island is a good walk on gravel roads and marked trails. numerous benches along the way. The main attraction for kids is the troll in the forest. About halfway to the troll you'll find a self service shop selling Coffee, tea icecream and snacks. Expect to spend a good two to three hours here.

A pleasant walk through the forest from the kunst museum, the tower sits on top of a hill. Costs DK 50 per person for a lift to the top and the viewing deck, which is also a restaurant, does give some good views and perspective of the city layout. Generally a bit expensive for what you get, but probably has to be done if you're a tourist around here.

Cool place for tourist to lose their money for nothing. Just closed one steel elevator that costs 60 DKK for person. You lift up there to see that there no place, and go down in 2 minutes because there too many people and every window is closed, there no air conditioner and there is too hot. And if you’ll try to get out of there, you’ll be immediately stopped by personal of the tower that will stand in front of the elevator and prevent you to go out without paying. It’s like a jail) It’s the most expensive elevator I have paid for EVER! Not recommend to anyone. There’s Salling viewing tower and restaurant there, and, oh surprise, it’s FREE to elevate up there.

You get quite a good view from the top. There is a restaurant at the top which I wasn't aware . But it's not mandatory to eat there .. you can just pay to go to top, view and get back for a minimal charge . The restaurant has few options only . I just had a beer and salad .

Nice view for Aalborg and surroundings. Its a bit too expensive just to ride the elevator up and go down aftet a while. Especially that majority of the space inside the galley is just a coffee bar and few tables.

Great place to get a complete view over Aalborg. It's small but there's a restaurant and you can sit down and have lunch with spectacular views. Prices are as expected from tourist attractions. When the wind blows you can feel a little bit of movement, so consider this if you're afraid of heights.

It's a beautiful park but all the grafitti is a shame. It doesn't look "artistic", instead it looks dirty and with poor maintenance. I hope it can get cleaned up because the place is really nice and it's easy to get there.

My son thinks it's excellent! I would say it's good, well it's an old amusement park (without the amusement ;-)). A lot of Graffiti/legal walls, grass for chilling, a beach volleyball area, a soccer and basketball area, a playground with sand and 3 big slides, a skateboard area, a Petanque/Boule area, Friday concerts in summer, city garden area, other events through the year, Platform 4 offers events and friday coffee (I think)...

Beautiful place, perfect acoustic, ok seats for a 2hour event, good view from the balcony.

My partner and I went to a concert for an organist we have seen on TikTok, and the concert itself was amazing. We loved the performer's enthusiasm. We also thought it was cool that she mentioned that the lighting was going to change to reflect the music before the show - she had apparently worked with the lighting tech during rehearsals, and some of the lighting choices were really amazing and they enhanced our experience a lot.

Was taken completely back to the early '90 in the beautiful Musikkens Hus in Aalborg by Michael Learn to Rock (MLTR). This band is not only great live outdoors but also does amazing work in a elegant concert hall with a seated audience.

Went to a Harry Potter movie-concert, it was amazing!! I can recommend it to anyone - they also have other movies like LOTR from time to time with a live orchestra. Beautiful place, and there is parking right next to it.

Concert hall in a shape you might not seen before. From outside it might look very strange, but inside it has a shapes that you would never know what building it is. You can access and walk around inside and also other floors for free, so you should have a look, especially second floor, balcony, view to the canal.

We stumbled upon a wonderful open space during our holiday in Aalburg, and it turned out to be a hidden gem. The area features a fantastic playground meticulously designed for children, complete with swings, slides, and climbing structures that kept them entertained for hours. The park was surprisingly empty when we visited, giving us the feeling that we had the entire place to ourselves. The spacious layout allowed the kids to run freely and explore, while we enjoyed the serene surroundings and took in the beautiful scenery. It was a delightful experience that added a special touch to our vacation.

Lovely and enormous park, full of beautiful areas and pretty flowers. It's wonderful to go to on sunny days, to relax, to think, to take deep breaths, to have picnics, to talk, to reconnect with yourself. There's an area for children to play and have fun.

Awesome huge park! There different sections good for chilling out, family, barbecue, jogging and many more. I went there for photo shooting it was just the perfect location for nature shooting.

Open areas to walk and enjoy free time around Aalborg. With possibilities for running. Kiting or just walking. A good run around can be 3.2 km. Horses in one side, and very cool parks in the area.

The baby loves it here. It's great and can be played for a long time.😃

The place itself is decent. Seen better, seen worse. But I will never come back nor understand the idea of forcing people to only buy their overpriced bad food, and offering to go out to the lockers room if you brought any. This is in my books called "treating people like garbage".

The place is amazing for motorical skill development for kids, and there are a lot of equipment for enjoyment. Do not get me wrong the place is really cool. In 2019 a yearly entrance with discount costed 990DKK, the discounted entrance for 2020 is 1490DKK, so the entrance price has increased significantly. Sadly maintenance and cleanliness have been neglected severly. Dust everywhere, not functioning equipment, dirty carpet. I have higlighted to the staff the malfunctioning equipment, but there isn't much they have done. Staff is really nice and well prepared for the job. Some recent photos as of yesterday. (All pictures i have posted are of equipment that has not been fumctioning more than 2 month)

Great experience for kids. We didn't know that tickets could not be purchased upon entry, but had to be bought online.. besides that, everything else seemed great, well maintained and relatively clean. Adults were free to enter and kids were around dkk 200 per person, for a 3 hour ticket.

We are very unsatisfied with the cleanliness lately. It's the second year we buy the yearly entrance because our son loves it here - it's one of the best opportunities for indoor fun for kids. But there was apparently no maintenance nor cleaning in over a year...

This is absolutely fantastic for small kids. The price is reasonable and it is always as clean as can be expected. There are healthy food options. They also offer to host kids birthday parties and those are great. My kids can easily spend an entire day here, and while it is possible (and fun) for adults to participate there are also places where adults can sit down and relax while still keeping an eye on the kids. It is very noisy so be prepared for that.

Well, very big a And varied playground very fun we spend easily 4 hours here daily admission is 70 for toddlers and 160 over 2 years, adults are free, the place is clean and the food is good but the annual card is very expensive and not reasonable at all .. 2000 for each kid too much for a family with multiple kids ..

There is a guy walking after girls "pulling on the jack" behind them. Black hair, about 180 tall, Eastern European looking. My girlfriend got scared about that dude on a couple occasions, and i have also seen him going around. Girls watch out! The police has been informed.

A great park to do whatever you want. A lot of people go there when it's sunny and warm. The view of the lakes with ducks and swans is amazing, there is a football/soccer field and a volleyball court. There are lots of places to sunbathe and relax. All around the park you can find benches to sit on if you don't like sitting on the grass.

A very cozy park, a decent sized lake surrounded by walking paths. Spreas along the paths are various benches and two parts of the park contain small gardens with flowers and a few ornaments. More 6 person benches can be found here making it ideal for a small picnic when the nordic weather permits.

Had a fun evening on a company outing, we ate at the buffet and bowled for two hours. Only complaints were that the bowling alley machine was a bit slow on our lane, and drinks were pricey.

Great place for fun day outing with friends, colleagues or families. They also have options to buy food, snacks or drinks. Enough parking place available.

Has some cool escape rooms and other fun stuff to do. The grill is pretty alright, but also quite overpriced with beer costing 80kr. The escape room also quite expensive but also a bit more high tech than other escape rooms. Though not kept very well.. many things are broken inside the escape rooms, at least the abandoned reactor was in quite rough shape, especially for the price point. Also our guide over explained in the beginning.. he might have been trying to be nice, but he spoiled 2-3 puzzles, before we were even inside the room.

The place where they are sitting to tell lie and steal money. I have made a remote control key for a Citroen C3 2010 for 1495 kr on 2nd August. I didn’t check if the key itself open the door or not. I just checked the remote is working. After around two weeks, on 12 August, i was trying to open the Diesel door to refuel gas, and the key was not working. So next morning I called them, they told me to visit their shop. So on 13th August, I visited their shop, they spent 1/1.5 hour and said that it is not working. They have to order some parts to fix it. I clearly asked the guy, Anders, who is gonna pay for it. And he clearly replied me “It is on me. You don’t have to pay anything” (Such a liar). So they told me to visit again on 19 August, today. I went today morning at 7:30 and gave the car, the old key (which was working perfectly and i showed them that it’s working) and the new remote control key( which they made and was faulty). Anders told me to keep the car with them. They will fix and call me. At 13:05, he called me and said i need to change the whole lock system and i have to pay 2439 kr for it. And it is a discounted price for me. I asked them, I am not interested to fix it. I will just take the car as it is. And then Anders told me that none of the key is working now. I was like WTH !!! I asked, how does it make sense. In the morning it was working, now it’s not. Who broke it?!!! He replied, it’s an old car, so it’s broken. And they are not gonna take any responsibility. If I want my car, I have to pay. They put me in a trap, where i was really helpless and didn’t know what to do. I was just wanted my car back. So i paid them and took my car. Of course they fix the issue. But not with honesty, with scamming!!! Be careful with these scammers and liars !!!
