Love this place anyway but the new decor makes it even better. A little gem for Whitley Bay. Whoever is running it knows what they are doing and I only hope people support it; use it or loose it!!! It would even just be a lovely venue for a drink tbh. The staff are so nice, the bar well stocked and very nice indeed and even I didn't wince at the prices!

Fantastic cinema. Very warm and inviting. Excellent staff. Great choice of drinks and snacks. The screens only sit about 30 people which I find perfect for the cinematic experience. The picture quality and sound quality is excellent.

Lovely little cinema. Friendly staff and really reasonable prices for snacks and drinks! Has a lift for those that struggle with stairs which is lovely then the rest of the place is on one floor so nice and accessible. Love the tiered ticket system to allow donations for those that may struggle to see things in cinema usually. Can't wait to bring my family to watch something here next time they visit. Would highly recommend

If you live in Whitley bay and like watching movies and you have not been here you should be ashamed of yourself. This is a great little place. It shows all the latest movies, has a relaxed atmosphere and fair prices snacks. Most of all though the cinematic experience is really, really good. So next time you want to go to the cinema, instead of going to the major chain places try this and I bet you have a good time.

Fabulous, quirky, loved it. Got sofa seat at the front and was so comfy....first time ever 2hr30min film didn't feel long at all... so much leg room. If disabled, lift up to first floor, seat at front. Staff were so friendly and helpful

Absolutely gorgeous building inside... first time I'd been and was blown away!! Fish and chips (large cod) was delicious and fairly priced for the surroundings... staff were extremely tentative and polite... place was spotless Highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👌👌

Beautiful white dome building was stunning from outside and inside it was amazing with the arches and expansive seating area and views. Had the tope ten fish n chips and the platter and some more.. all delicious. Should come back again. Bank Holiday weekend was very popular it seems, as there was a marquee...and lots of singing n dancing. This was in front of the Spanish city and the beach outside. The food was so good that we forgot to take pics...

My wife and I were celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary there today. The whole venue is spotless and even better presented. We had talked about what we expected it to be like as a child I'd play in the Spanish City during my holidays. We ate to a moderate sound, and I would say a great experience in doing so. It was quiet and pleasant. The food was fresh and very tasty. The menu wasn't difficult to navigate. For the venue being as I remembered it to be, I was able to take in the newer version although it's not new to some 10+ years since Whitley Bay's landmark icon has been cleaned up. I recommend the seafood platter, especially the salmon. The cod bites with the white bait and King Prawns were so good to want to go back to again soon. As I'm writing this, I would with no hesitation call to pick up another order from them. The venue has lots of goodness and gave us no negative surprises. The staff were amazing, I mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and they really pushed the boats out for us. These are staff that thrive on functions. They put the clients first and the function is given the best care and diligence by them. The way the staff waited on us and let us know who they are was fabulous. Lovely food, good portions of fish and chips, sausage, and chips plus sauces. Clean and bright, staff were very friendly and helpful. Great spot after a long walk on promenade.

There was a little wait to get your stamp to get in the price wasn't too bad. There was too many people when we were there we felt rushed around. At the seal show there was no point going as the small deck area was full, but you could sit on the grass in front of it but it was hard for me to see let alone a toddler, and the sound wasnt very good so we went to the small play area, stayed there for a bit and as we went to see more of the fishes the seal show ended, we sort of got ushered through the tunnel to the end. The good bit is that you could go through it all again which we did but it was boring so we left and went to the beach

A great little marine-lover's excursion. They have a fantastic array of sea-life to observe, from a gorgeously inquisitive octopus, an immersive reef-tip shark tunnel, educational seal performances and beautiful sea horses and cute axolotl. You can spend a over an hour looking around and it is worth looking up the feeding times to really see the animals in action. The ticket is a little pricey, but the money does go towards care for the animals, and they have a seal hospital on site.

Great day out with my grandson. We both really enjoyed it and will no doubt be visiting again. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the animals.

A lovely family day out by the sea! The aquarium has a good variety of marine life, from seahorses and clownfish to seals and tortoises. The building itself is a little dated and not huge, but the location on the seafront makes up for it. Perfect for a couple of hours with children, and the views outside are fantastic! Our one year old thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

Warm welcome when entering. Clear route to follow with a good selection of different fish and aquatic life to see. Lots of talks through the day which are informative. Car park next to the centre that has disabled bays and EV charging. It is a pay and display carpark - free for blue badge holders. Small play area outside for children on nice days. The only out door exhibit is the seal show, although you can see the seals underwater for an undercover area.

Genuinely a lovely experience. Very well thought out nice touches with the passport stamp etc but main thing would be is it a little overpriced?! Must say we went for the yearly pass as we live near this however for people visiting it seemed a little expensive as it doesn’t really last longer than 1-2 hours! Side note would be to have more staff on the floor guiding and making the experience a little more interactive for the children. It’s essentially a walkthrough maze with some staff input depending on the time you visit (for talks etc).

Its an aquarium and is an ok visit but woukd struggle to make it a full day out on its own. Can be quite expensive unless look for vouchers/discounts. It is quite run down and a lot of areas could do with some maintainence. The fish and displays all are clean and well kept.

Amazing food, lovely staff, the taste was out of this world on everything but if I could only eat one thing forever it would be this pizza and garlic bread - outstanding! Vanilla ice cream is completely worth the hype too

The ice-cream flavours never fail at Di Meo's. If they say it's a mini egg ice-cream, it's full of mini eggs. The pistachio sauce has also been a wonderful addition! Will happily recommend to anyone in the North East!

We have been lifelong fans of Di Meos ice cream and pizza, so when we got a date in the diary to get married the first port of call was asking them if they would come along to serve some of their fab ice cream for our guests!! It couldn't have been an easier process to book and we had contact with Rosa constantly along the way making sure we were happy with timings and flavours etc. - they even catered for our gluten free guests!! The ice cream cart they brought to the venue was fab and was equipped with not only the classic Di Meos wafer but 99 flakes too. The ice cream went down a treat with so many guests commenting on how great it was (I'm sure they'll have lots of new regulars!) No regrets, the best ice cream to go alongside the best day!

We visited first for ice cream, and then decided to go for a meal while we were holidaying in Whitley Bay. The service was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly and we were welcomed warmly, with everything explained clearly. We both had pizza, and it was so, so good. If we were local, I've no doubt we'd be regulars. Special shout out to our South African waiter who indulged me when I yapped on about my own pizza oven. This place gave us one of our favourite evenings of our trip.

We have always had delicious ice cream from here, and always smelled the pizza cooking. We decided to book tonight, and the pizza and pasta we had was very delicious! Perfect portions sizes. Will definitely be going back.

Been here loads of times and really love their pizzas and ice cream! This visit I got the creme egg ice cream special which was really good. My wife got the biscoff hot chocolate which she also really enjoyed. They allowed us to sit in which was very pleasant (we've only ever taken away previously) Amazing service, amazing ice cream and drinks and would highly recommend. Obviously will be back next time we're in Whitley bay!

The location is fantastic and the building is iconically of its period. It’s spacious and airy with great views. Unfortunately the food is horrendous - stuck in the 1970s synthetic junk era. The coffee, sold as lattes etc is nothing of the sort, just very watery and very weak with very little milk. Some members of staff are rude and aggressive and seem to resent being questioned about anything and having to serve anybody. I imagine that’s why the food and drinks are so inexcusably bad. It could be an amazing business and big attraction if it had trained willing staff and a small menu of real food, even easy items like chips and pies and sandwiches and cakes and teas and coffees if they were of edible quality. The tiny little art gallery cafe at the back of it doesn’t have the views but it contrasts hugely in a very small menu of excellent quality food and drinks and service. Whoever owns the Rendezvous needs to understand that the way it is being run defeats what could be an astounding business. Perhaps it’s just as well though, as if it was decent, in that location it would be inundated.

Sign asking 'Please wait to be seated', so we did. It took a member of staff behind the counter to get another staff member to come to see us and we were told ' Sit where you like'. Nice furniture with decent sized tables; room for plates and cups for 3 people. Cake was nice, plenty of butter for the cheese scone. However, the coffee was, frankly, disgusting. We had lattes and neither of us could drink more than a couple of mouthfuls. Shame really as the cafe itself is lovely.

I'm going to buck the trend and say that I enjoyed my experience at the rendezvous cafe. The staff were polite and attentive , they listened to my order and nothing was too much trouble. I had a pot of tea ,cappuccino a sausage butty and a biscuit to take away . Service was quick and the food was good the table went were given was spotlessly clean . In short it's a retro cafe that serves a half decent cuppa and a great butty that sets you up for a wonderful walk along the beach.

Nice place for quick bite,basic not fancy small menu very little choices. A bit pricey but ok. Used by plenty dog walkers as dogs welcome

It maybe "famous" place because its appearence in Vera, but the staff here is VERY rude and unhelpful. As for food and atmosphere, I've been to more atmospheric and better stocked places than this. It supposed to be nice Saturday walk with coffee and ice cream at the end ... but it turned out stressful and argumentative, thanks to the staff (person) who went out of her way not to help, but cause argument!!! I will definitely avoid this place in the future at all costs.

I just have to leave a review about the coffee in this cafe. I asked for a flat white which was nothing like a flat white, AND the coffee itself was incredibly BITTER and left the most horrendous taste in my mouth. Sad to say this but its the worst cup of coffee i have ever had. Not sure what kind of coffee they use, or was it just old but it was awful. I did mention it to the waitress to pass my comment on so i'm hoping she did. !!!

They sell just the best knickerbocker glory ( called Fantasia ) the staff are great and the place itself hasn't changed since the 1930's. And I am so glad for that. It's a place that is just filled with memories of my childhood. You will never get a better ice-cream anywhere else. Or a better Tuna/Mayo sarnie end of The lady owner is so nice and takes the time for a chat if you want to. Thanks to all the staff xx

My first visit in quite some time and I wasn't disappointed. It still looks as fresh and clean as when it reopened after it's refurb some time ago. The staff were slick coming in and quickly managed the queue. The sound was excellent in a comfortable auditorium with plenty of legroom. I've knocked a star off for programming only. Looking through the brochure it is virtually all tribute bands and the price is expensive for a bunch of pretenders. More 'proper' artists would have me rushing back.

Great venue for gigs, any where is a good seat as venue is small. Bar area not a great selection and my experience the beer was not cold birra moretti.

I love attending events at the Playhouse. Great venue, friendly staff, always a decent (non-restricted) view. The bar isn't badly stocked, and they also sell ice cream. Auditorium isn't small (638 seats), but the way it's laid out makes the events more intimate.

Visited the Playhouse last night to see Fleetwood Bac. They were excellent, but I have to say that some mindless individuals, and there were quite a few, spoilt it by talking and shouting really loudly. Its such a shame as its a great venue and I couldn't fault it otherwise..

Fantastic night from start to finish. Was made to feel welcomed from start of the night till the end, the show was really great. VIP room was nice, and view to stage was brilliant. Our party of 5 had a great night, thank you to both the Playhouse staff and the staff of the show. Will be returning for sure.

Cool venue, drinks are a little pricey at £7.50 a pint but it's a good sized venue for shows, sound is good n atmosphere was good too.

Great place for kids. Wheel chair and pushchair accessible!! Not too big either so their legs won’t get too tired. Free parking in car park. Tickets available on arrival, include access to the indoor museum and unlimited steam train rides. The journey is about 30 mins in total. There’s a small cafe too able to take your own food or buy hot drinks and cakes. Mini sit on train ride for extra cost too for the little ones.

We had a lovely stop off here for a heritage steam train journey up and down the line on a Sunday. It took about half an hour and we got to see the engine uncoupling and re-coupling at the end of the line. Staff were very friendly. There was live music for an event in the museum section so didn't really take a look round there as it was a bit loud for our kids. But they did enjoy the table with colouring pictures of trains and we also had a delicious strawberry and chocolate scone in the café. It was very reasonably priced though the cream tea had run out so I'd say if you want one of those, go early. There were toilets there too but didn't use them so can't comment on those. There was lots of parking with some parent and toddler spaces. There were some other spaces that would have been suitable for longer vehicles too. Overall we spent a lovely hour or so there and the kids enjoyed themselves.

Had a great time, rode on the train twice, got some great pictures, museum is small, but for the price it's a bargain, great for young and old. Cafe wasn't open when we visited. Definitely will go again.

Went for a visit to see the museum which is volunteer run. Some old steam and diesel engines in the shed. Train ride was highlight with old carriages and they are so much better than modern British trains. Track must be old and is short so slow journey around 40 minutes total.

Great experience. Loved seeing the old steam engines. Definitely worth a stop for the railroad fan in your home. Didnt get a chance to ride the rails but would do it again if I make my way back there....

A great little heritage railway, the volunteers onsite are brilliant in general. But during the festive events they really make it a fantastic place to visit

One of the best railway museums. It's much smaller than the ones at York and Shildon, but does a much better job of explaining the significance of each exhibit. The signs have a really good balance between explaining things for people who know nothing of the topic, without oversimplifying. The woodland area behind is also well worth a visit with everything from an abandoned railway cab, to a dead whale, lying around in the former Metro works which have been left to return to nature. It's just a shame that it's quite hard to get to - the walk from Percy Main station is long enough to be annoying - and that it's only open at weekends. Shout out also to the volunteers, who obviously really care but aren't as in'your-face as the volunteers at some exhibitions and museums.

Visited on a weekend (first mistake) with my 2 year old. No mention of the pirate ship being closed. After what can only be described hell on earth in the changing rooms as it was so overcrowded, and after battling to get some change to find you then need a token for a tiny locker, we made it to the pool. When we got in the water was so cold even for me nevermind my two year old who started shivering. The pirate ship was closed and the pool was so busy you couldn't move. We left immediately as it was unbearable. Normally after a swim you can smell chlorine in the shower but after this I couldn't. We won't be returning which is a shame as I live around the corner.

This is an edited to the original post below! The water was way cooler than when we last went, so much so our little one a 5 year old was shivering the whole time. Surely it can't be that difficult to regulate the water temperature! Original post below. The kids love it. The time you get in the pool is probably perfect, not to long and not short, just enough to tire the kids a little. The water felt warmer than normal on the 4th of Oct 2024 so I'm hoping it'll stay like that as it has been a little chilly in the past. Staff are great life guards are always looking sharp doing their jobs. Only gets a 4 star because there could be more family changing rooms but it is what it is with the space they have👍🏻

Disappointed with our visit to waves today. £25 for a family of 4 to swim! The pool was very cold, the slides were not open and the waves machine was broken. The changing room floors could also have been cleaner. I dont think it is anywhere near worth the amount we paid to get in.

Visited Waves, Whitely Bay for the first time last weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Due to the nice weather that weekend, the temperature of the water in the pool was fine, however if it had been cold outside that day, we wold have certainly preferred the pool water temperature to be slightly warmer. Apart from that, the pool itself is great, with slides and water features for kids. There are plenty of changing rooms and lockers (which you pay for a token for - one machine on the left hand side when you first walk in, and others in the changing rooms). They have a very nice coffee shop, serving very good coffee and they also sell bags of their coffee beans for home brewing, along with various food items. It appears to be quite a large leisure centre, with a gym upstairs overlooking the pool area. It cost about £12 for my son and I to go, which isn't cheap, but we thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely go again.

I went on a Thursday afternoon with my partner, left 10 minutes later. Slide was closed, the majority of the pool (including the lanes) were closed for children’s swimming lessons even though there was no signs in reception or online saying it would be closed. The waves weren’t on. the changing rooms were unclean and smelled strongly of urine. we were charged full price. don’t go here!! waste of time and money.

I went with my 2 oldest daughter’s & 10 grandchildren we had the best time staff were there all the time keeping everyone safe and secure & reception were very helpful the slides were great fun & the small pool for the little ones was good the water was okay and very clean no problems with the hot showers & changing rooms were fine thanks for a great day back soon

Attended a baby class today. Ample changing facilities. Very clean changing rooms. Standard locker, non returnable 20p. Pram locker, non returnable £1. Baby pool a little cooler than I expected. Staff were lovely at the desk and in the pool. Wave machine, slides, good waterfall type machine. Really happy.

Cullercoats is a lovely place for safe family swimming. The pier wall adds to the attraction, especially at high tide.

Beautiful little beach at Cullercoats Bay. The metro station is only a few meters from it and it was open for dogs until the end of March. Wonderful location for a short stroll. A must visit when in the area. It was super windy but made it even prettier to see the sea and sand dance with each other.

This bay is quite nice with easy walkable paths to the water. There are large caves you can walk through and there were a lot of people swimming in the water and playing on the beach.

Lovely beach area clean and safe for children lots of local eating places in easy reach from the beach I visit regularly all year round.

Our boys aged 5 and 7 had their first surfing lesson with Tynemouth Surf Co and they were outstanding. Friendly, encouraging and very knowledgable. Louis and Killian adapted to what each boy needed and gave them a wonderful first experience. We will absolutely be coming back

I went in to make some enquiries. The lady at the desk, Annie (I think), was perfectly pleasant and answered all my questions. Not overly pushy to make a sale which has put me off similar shops in the past, overall a surprisingly good experience

Aye aye fellow Googlers, today i start to fulfil another promise i made to myself back in March this year when i started this latest fight to get my mobility back, there are many promises i made back then like climb a mountain, get sea kayaking qualifications and learning to surf amongst others even more fanciful, the learning to surf one was almost like a joke as at the time i couldn't stand for long without using a walking cane. Well it is now 4 months later and I am 49 lbs lighter than i was in March and for the first time in over a decade i walked 3.5 mile yesterday without my cane, it took me 1hr 20 minutes according to my gps but to me that was like rocket speed, especially when all i had to do to alleviate the pain and discomfort caused to my underlying spine injury was 30 minutes of gentle yoga when i got home. So today I figured since i can stand and walk a bit it was time to start learning to surf, I had my first ever surfing lesson today and it is luckily with the professionals at Tynemouth Surf Co run by Louis Thomas-Hudson, former captain of team GB Junior surf team, i wore my gopro mounted on my wrist to capture the day for posterity, it was so much hard work but a lot of fun and worth the pain i am in right now. My session was run by Jordan and Sam and they were totally spot on, very encouraging and patient with the group of all beginners today and before long they had us all catching waves and having a great time, you'd think you'd be freezing in the North Sea but by the time we had done the warm up i was ready to get in the water just to cool off, I genuinely can't wait to go back, you might be able to tell from my pictures how much fun i had, you decide, personally i thought it was 30 quid well spent in my book (for the 2 hours beginner surf lessons and all the kit needed hired). Absolutely brilliant lesson today! Surf instructors Si and Jim were amazing! Me, my daughter (age 10), and my aunty thought it was the best thing ever. Never stopped smiling. We did it for my daughter’s birthday and she said this is the best birthday present ever!!! You guys did a brilliant job. Loved every minute! Will definitely be back!!! My daughter was amazing and stood up loads, I stood up a few times too! Thank you!!

Fantastically stocked surf shop situated above an incredible beach. A couple days ago coming to the end of a lush swell day, my van decided to throw a wobbly locking me, a post-surf icicle still suited an booted, out in the rapidly descending darkness. The amazing Angela leapt into action, helping me to work out a solution to the problem (and providing me with a place to drip out of the cold). I turned up in despair, and left with me heart full of kindness, thank you all so much, I'll be back!

Saw this amazing display of pastries through the window and couldn't resist! (If you like sourdough bread this is the place to come, but get there early as they will sell everything!) Got an almond croissant (amazing), lemon & cardamom pastry (really good) and a rhubarb & almond cake (looked good but bit like a thick plain cake with a bit of rhubarb/almond on top) I also got a latte which tasted good, but the cup was really really small, and I was charged £3.80 for it when the menu on the wall said £3.40. For the same price you can get better coffee in a larger size from many places in the area. Would definitely come back for some more pastries next time we're in the area.

The sourdough bread is an absolute must if you want delicious, home made, gorgeous tasting bread that is reasonably priced. The bread didn’t make it more than two days as we ate it so quickly. Making toasties and have just bread and butter it was absolute heaven on a plate and the pictures do not do it justice. Thanks so much!!!! A fantastic asset to Whitley Bay.

Stunningly delicious! I feel very lucky enough to live just around the corner from this awesome bakery! This morning, I tried their sausage roll and pastel de nata - both of which were delicious! The sausage roll is definitely better if you can catch it fresh straight out of the oven (but what isn't, right?). Everything I've had from PureKnead is beautiful - can absolutely recommend!

The Breakfast Bao’s and hash browns are an absolute winner! I didn’t think a breakfast bao would work…but trust me IT DOES! So delicious and the sauce is amazing! Would definitely go back for the food! Unfortunately though the coffee is a hard miss! We had iced lattes and landed up having to throw them away - think warm milk with a couple of ice blocks…that’s what it pretty much was! Not nearly enough coffee and not cold enough I’m afraid! Next time I’ll go for the food as that is what they specialize in and they absolutely nail that but I’d go somewhere that specializes in coffee for my brew!

Doesn’t need a massive review, but people know this has the best breakfast sandwich and best coffee in the area. Definitely give it a go….i go once a week.

10/10! Went with my husband on match day for a quick bite and I had the vegan bao. Absolutely banging. Iced coffees were great too!

Walking around the station we found this place open when all the other coffee shops were closed. There was a queue and we waited in the street. It was worth it, the baos were delicious, we really enjoyed it. The coffee was with alternative milk which we appreciated also. Very recommended as they did very well.

Fairly priced for what it is, tastes great. The hashbrowns are from another planet. Got there for about 9:30 on a Sunday and there was a bit of a queue. But from ordering to having the food maybe 10mins. Guy that served was friendly and certainly better than the monotone drones at McDonald's. Be back again and 100%recommend. Shame there was no dining in only down side.

I love this place. It's very friendly, the baos are absolutely beautiful and even the tea is good. On my week off I visited three times in six days, it makes a gorgeous breakfast or even lunch. I can't wait to go again.

This was our first time using Park Dean and we have had a lovely time. The park is very clean and the staff are really friendly. The caravan was nice and clean and had most stuff needed for basic cooking etc. My 4 year old especially loved the caravan and the location is perfect for our needs. So close to many nearby attractions and of course Whitley Bay beach. Will be back!

Had a lovely 4 nights at whitley bay park dean. The caravan was amazing, the staff helpfully removed a bed in the bedroom so we could fit our travel cot. Caravan was clean and had everything youd need! The park was small but perfect for our toddler. The pool was lovely and clean. Basic pool but staff were lovely and we enjoyed using the inflatables. The entertainment team were incredible. It was quiet due to being out of school holidays but they gave their all and our little girl love the star land disco. Whitley bay itself was great, and the park is close to lots of days out! Will definitely recommend and return!

Had the best weekend stay with my children. Lots to do for them. Entertainment was super good. Food in the restaurant was perfect. Caravan was absolutely spotless & had everything we needed. Reception staff were cheerful & very helpful.

We stayed for a week in September, the caravan exceeded expectations. Perfect location and so clean and tidy. Bus stop outside the entrance to lots of locations. We didn’t use the facilities this time but have booked again for next year and we will certainly use the pool and the club house.

Great resort for the holiday. There is plenty to do and a great location. Plenty of regular buses that take you into Newcastle and surrounding areas. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. Nice, clean and well maintained caravan and plenty of amenities. We had a pleasant 4 nights stays here.

I spent so long reading reviews and was Disappointed with this park. Venue was very small, so was unable to spend any time in the entertainment area also needs updating. Arcade area was small. Caravan was ok. Although I paid for a 2 bedroom one and ended up with a 3 bedroom. Main bedroom very small and didn’t need the 3rd room. Takeaway was only open on the 1st night which was a disappointment. I would have left the day after check in if it wasn’t for the lovely surrounding areas. Getting out and about off park was lovely and we made the most of it.

We are here at the moment (leave Monday), this is our second visit! Great park, always clean and fabulous location. Literally a stone throw from the beach. Only downfall i have is there isn't anything suitable in the bar for someone whos diabetic. No drinks are sugar free (soft drinks ofcourse).

Great venue! Plenty of activities to choose from, staff are so welcoming & helpful. Can’t wait to go back ☺️

I have been there one time with my friends , it was a Sunday night, I loved the atmosphere, and also it has inviting decoration. So ,prices was reasonable and there is a nice pub with nice beers. One Pint of beer is £4.50 and also you can play Biliyard for one our for £10. The Bowling 🎳 salon is nice and I loved it. We have payed £35 for a set , we were 4 people. In conclusion, this place is worth to spend your time over there.

We brought our daughter and her friend to the Play all and we did play all day. They skated, bowled, darts, played pool, sang karaoke then they started again. Kiera and all staff members were all friendly and very helpful through the day. We will definitely be back again and probably with more friends.

went this evening with my family, absolutely phenomenal experience!! Immediately greeted by the lovely Dom, who showed us the way to the reception desk and then being lead to our games area and tended to by servers such as Cameron and Cammy. all Smashed it and can’t wait to go back again!!!

Had a blast here with the mrs for date night. There had been an issue with the system that day and we had to wait a small amount of time more than normal, but as compensation we were offered free roller skating while we waited. The drinks were nice and well priced and the food wasn’t too bad either. Would recommend for a good date night or even just to take your kids.

Great place to visit with friends and family. Game of ten pin bowling take your fancy well this is the place, then have a go and rollerskating after. Then you can go on plenty of games in the arcade but be careful as some machines take your money/you use top up card but sometimes it doesn't let you go on, mentioned it to staff and they were like it happens nothing we can do, it happened to a few people on this visit, poor customer service from the staff on this matter. You can get food and even has a bar. Toilets were nice here. Busy service runs close by but it's good 10-15minute walk from either meadow well or percy main metro station. Although if your lucky to have a car it's easy to park up and to use free car park. Would recommend to family and friends and would return if only for a return match of air hockey with grandson who won me few times lol

Great first night here, Zara was lovely! Definitely need a seating area though or at least some seats dotted about as we couldn’t see any and would have probably stayed longer if there was a seated area

Ignore all the reviews saying this place is free to park because it's not, pay stations are in place and I've witnessed people getting tickets on many occasions. The carpark itself is pretty rough as it has many potholes and isn't really looked after by the council, however it is very close to the beach and promenade with views overlooking the sea.

It’s really nice beach. Lots of space for park with charging stations you can plug in for 3 hours which is good. You can rent bikes and a lot of different things as well you can see on the videos I shared.

Free nice car park. Dog friendly beach as you can see in the picture where dogs are allowed and on lead. No shops, no toilets around. The nearest shop is Spanish City with lots of entertainment, fish and chips, award winning Ice cream shop, co-op shop.

Lots of free parking space which makes a change from lots of other car parks. There was plenty of well marked out disabled parking bays and the views from here are fantastic. I can see why so many people come to this area, and with free car parking it encourages tourism to the area.

Excellent parking spot for the beach. Easy to get too. Free parking. The only downside is there are no toilets. There's usually an ice cream van that sell hot drinks too.

Unsafe. It's such a shame as I used to come regularly 3/4years ago. It was always spotless and the staff were great. It must be under new management. It was grubby, broken and dangerous. A lady next to me mentioned the step with exposed staples to a member of staff twice. The response was indifferent and they did nothing about it! There were screws on the side of the slide at hand level and the duct tape (I presume placed to cover the screws) was dangling down. The toys were broken and the role play area was broken and scattered. The staff looked overworked and fed up. They seemed to have had no training on health and safety which was worrying. They provided me with a refund and asked me to write on a scrap of paper what the matter was. I got the feeling nothing was going to be done.

It's a shame that this place has gone downhill, it used to be so lovely and clean under the previous ownership. We visited last week and everything was pretty grubby, despite not being terribly busy lots of the tables were littered with uncollected drinks and plates. Our kids socks were filthy within minutes of being in the soft play. Cleanliness is clearly not a priority. The toilet smelt disgusting, with the nappy bin overflowing with used nappies. Admittedly we visited towards the end of the day, but these things should be kept on top of. Disappointed that it closed at 3pm on a rainy half term weekend.

Lovely staff. Friendly and chatty. Nice coffee and tea cake and you can still stay as long as you like which is great. However, the place is looking a bit dusty with crumbs and hairs in between the soft play cushions. There was an area on the other side of the tunnel that is up in the soft play where the mat had come away and it was grim. The chairs around the colouring table were very grubby too, enough to be noticed by my 3 Yr old and the hard toys in the baby area need cleaning. The previous owners were constantly cleaning probably so it didn't become like that. There seemed enough staff to be cleaning and it would have been reassuring to see it and smell the cleaning going on.

Such a shame this soft play has been left to look the way it does now. It used to be immaculate and clean, my daughter was absolutely black after going through the soft play once, I went through and was disgusted by the dust and grime. Definitely not a hygienic place for little ones! Having seen the latest reviews and the response from the owner just tells me these reviews fall on deaf ears. The toilet is stinking, and the toys don't work despite 'being changed regularly'. I would hate to lift up the toddler area and see the grime underneath! Certainly won't be back 🤢🤢 I didn't order anything from the cafe area as I was disgusted with the state of it and left after 20mins!

Held my daughter's birthday party here, it was fantastic. The staff are great and all we needed to provide was the birthday cake, everything else was taken care of. We will definitely have more parties here, everyone said it was brilliant and their kids loved it. Thank you!

My first time taking my son here and he absolutely loved it. Staff are so friendly and lovely towards the children. Loads to do for the children my son also said the food was delicious. Will definitely bring him back again.

So lovely! They have everything; soft play, dressing up, ride on toys, a play pit for babies and let's pretend area with a play kitchen and shop. For the party as well as food there was a little did o with games at the end. The staff go the extra mile and wonderful with the kids. I just wish they were local to us.

Asked for ribeye steaks. It was busy and I couldn’t see the counter. Handed two steaks wrapped up and charged £26. I’m no butcher but these do not look like rib eyes to me. First time I’ve been here as my usual place was closed this weekend. In a quality butcher I’d expect to be asked how big I want the steaks and have them cut to order. Steak was better than supermarket (I’d hope so for that price!) but it wasn’t what I asked for and I wouldn’t go back for that reason. The rib eye price was much more than I usually pay for superb quality cut to size so I paid more money for less steak of a cut I didn’t ask for!

A friend recommended the hot pork sandwich so took my young son for lunch only to be informed only enough pork for one sandwich and no stuffing left. Decided to get the sandwich anyway with the crackling. As only one sandwich also got a scotch egg, sausage roll and steak pie. My son and I sat outside and shared it all. WHAT A FEAST. Pork was so juicy and delicious, the meat on the scotch egg was seasoned really well (only negative was I would have liked a runny yoke). Sausage roll was really nice with flakey pastry and the steak pie was probably the best I’ve ever tasted! No wasted space, the whole pie was loaded to the lid with the tastiest gravy and filled with big steak chunks. All in all a great meal that filled us both up, offered my son a cake on the way home but he refused as too full. Definitely going again!! Highly recommend, just get there early!

Amazing butcher's, great quality and good value. Highly recommended we visit family twice a year and I place a shipping order to take back South. Always fresh produce meter before disappointed. Then staff are friendly (Geordie's always are) wonderful and nothing is any trouble. Orders always ready and packed up safely for the journey. Thank you one and all 👍 see you again soon. Jim

Ordered from the barbecue brochure for an office BBQ for 30 people. Sarah was a great help with how much food to order. Hired the barbecue drum, equipment and ordered the charcoal/ lighter fluid, it was fantastic. Would highly recommend as it makes it easier for you. Everything was delivered when it was agreed so we could have it up and running for lunchtime. Could not fault the food. We will be ordering again. Tasty burgers, sausages, chicken kebabs (so good) also a few extra sides and we ordered veg options for none meat eaters. Thank you to Sarah and the team at Nicholson butchers. Had the £12.15 per Kg Cumberland sausage so don't make the same mistake. The bacon was thick cut but salty as Hell. C'mon guys. I hope I'm wrong but based on being MUGGED in clear daylight did someone stop Nicholson from making decisions. Who's your farmer as you need a reality check here. Seems like a bunch of uninspired kids have taken over the castle and haven't counted the sheep. I'm going to review your black pudding IF it's even YOURS? Don't believe the HYPE. When the passion has retired then just let go. £12.15 for 'sausage' labelled as Cumberland? Probably spent more time at Digital than Cumberland.

One of the best hot pork sandwiches I've ever had. Delicious and bursting with meat, stuffing, crackling and apple sauce. The selection of meats and deli offerings looked incredible, no wonder there was a queu down the street. The Christmas menu looks great too, although get your booking in quick, they've taken orders for 500 turkeys already! Very friendly staff and a very well laid out shop. Highly recommend a visit.

Absolutely brilliant place! Held a party for my son's 4th birthday. We booked a private booking so we had place to our selves. My son is autistic and honestly the staff were so attentive and took the party as it went to cater his needs. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely ladies who work year! Highly recommend this place! We will be back and dropping off a bigger tip as I hadn't much cash left on me. Thank you again!!

A fabulously friendly place for both children and adults. A very safe environment for all ages of children up to school age and beyond. Amazing staff who are very sociable and thoroughly professional. As grandparents of a 3 year old who loves coming here we tell all of our friends who child mind to visit this Whitley Bay gem.

We had my daughter’s 3rd birthday party here this weekend and it was the best experience from start to finish! I didn’t feel stressed at all in the run up to the party itself as everything was taken care of by Karen and her wonderful team. We went away saying we would absolutely do this again for future birthdays! Can’t recommend enough!

We had my daughter's 3rd birthday party here and I couldn't recommend The Treehouse enough. They took care of all the food and organisation leaving us to have fun and enjoy the occasion. The soft play is great and there's lots for little ones to do and explore. Thank you!

We’ve been coming to The Treehouse since my little boy was a baby, and it’s his definite favourite. He loves it so much we had his 2nd birthday party there, which was absolutely brilliant. The whole thing was so easy, and far less stressful than trying to organise something at home. The staff made everything run really smoothly and all I had to worry about was party bags (which I'm sure they do provide but I wanted to feel like I'd done something!!). The staff are always absolutely fantastic, they're friendly, helpful, and lovely with the kids. They made a real fuss of him on the day of his party, and the timing of everything was spot on, plenty of time for play before food, without anyone getting overtired or bored. The party food was great, and the bacon sandwiches from the café were a hit with the adults (as were the coffees and hot chocolates!). We’ve also been to the Halloween and Easter discos which are always really well organised and a lot of fun too. Having been to quite a few softplays now I have to say it's probably the cleanest soft play we’ve been to, it's always spotless, with none of the dustballs or grubby corners you sometimes see elsewhere.

Visted with my daughter for the first time today, I didnt know I had to book before going, but they checked and said there was enough space and I could come in (very thankful) I suffer with anxiety and this was the first time I took my daughter to a softplay, there was a party also on. I was in the under 5s bit with my 1 year old, there was a canny few kids in the play area. A worker came over told me about the babys bit which was much more quieter and my daughter could explore more. The lady kept coming over asking if we were okay and if we would like any drinks. She made me at ease and very comfortable on my mother and daughters first outing. I will defienelty be booking up for another visit.

My 2 young children and husband come to the treehouse most Wednesdays and have a great time. So much so, my daughter asked for her birthday to be here. We had her 4th birthday party at the treehouse on Sunday morning, she had a fantastic time. As a parent everything was taken care of and was stress free. Fantastic service

Great little place to take young kids. The three year old loved it. Two hour session cost 6 quid so could not complain. There's free parking nearby though not outside. Don't park there as you'll probably end up with a big fine. Lots to keep a child entertained for 2 hours especially with the themed play town. They have cakes coffee, toasties and soup to buy as well at fair prices as well. Great for a rainy day or even a cloudy one.

Sweet little place. Visited on a Sunday morning with our 20 month old daughter and she had an absolute ball. The setup is interesting and kept her engaged throughout the duration of our visit. They also have a private party area. We weren’t expecting much on the food front given our experience with soft plays etc, but were pleasantly by the taste and quality of food. The cheese savoury sandwich, scrambled eggs and mocha were all lovely. As with most places in Whitley bay, there is an element of racist people in the crowd, but the staff were warm and welcoming. Will surely be returning soon.

Littley bay is a fab play area for preschool age. Plenty of them to explore and play. Plenty toys and role play areas are fun. There is also a mini jam jar cinema with an area to watch films when they want a quick chill. Price is very reasonable and you get a good amount of time inside. There is always plenty seating and can see the play area from your seat. They have a cafe with food and drinks that we find well.priced and always has been nice. They do a nice platter for little ones that is always enjoyed! It is accessed via stairs but there is a lift I believe however I have not used this. Parking nearby on the playhouse car park is free but often full can also park nearby on the car parks for the sea front. This is one of our two year olds favourite places to visit and always has fun!

The kids love it. Really great concept and never over crowded due to the booking online policy. Wouldnt recommended the breakfast buns. One sausage and one slice of bacon and some crazy side salad. But in a hole its not about the food it's about the enjoyment the kids have and I can not fault that. For that it's a 5 star rating..if I included the food it would be 3-4 stars.

Beautiful play area for little people. Staff are lovely and place is well thought out. We had a lovely egg sandwich and a sausage bun and I would definitely recommend their coffee too. I always judge a place by their toilets (I wouldn't want to eat in a place that has sub standard loos, coz their kitchen might be the same low standard!). Littley Bay has nice, modern, clean, well stocked toilets. Great range of toys and our little one played happily and asked when she could return.

Our first visit to @littleybay yesterday. My 2yr old loves role-playing and she was living her best life. The areas were clean, spacious and had a lovely atmosphere. Staff were friendly and it was a nice touch to end with a story. The tea and cake were lovely too. Would definitely recommend.

A wonderful place! The staff are so warm and friendly, and for a place that has dozens of toddlers through its doors every day it is always a lovely surprise just how immaculately clean everything is. My 2 year old loves coming here, and I do too!

10k runner's running for themselfs and charities from the North East. 15th run and over 2200 fantastic people doing there best. Fired of by the Mayor and Council, sponsored by Bernicia and North Tyneside council. The good that these peolpe do ripples into our community's and the human effort is a sight to be hold. Well done all.

Great sports centre in North Shields. Lots of facilities, both indoor and outdoor courts, football pitches etc.

I attended a North Tyneside workforce development teamwork live event held in the hall. Plenty of parking and well signposted large reception area and the staff are very friendly polite and professional. The centre is very clean and has all the facilities you'd expect. I'd recommend this place.

Great sports centre, the classes are always fun, the instructors are all very friendly. The gym has all the equipment you will need. Even has a little soft play which is only £2 with an ease card.

Made very welcome by the indoor bowling club who have excellent accessible facilities. Good parking with overflow across the road. Modern facilities. Pity there isn't a functioning cafe.

THE best craft beer shop for miles around. Always a stunning choice of beers on tap in the fridges. It's Park View's sun trap on the nice days too!

An excellent bottle shop and a cosy tap room! They primarily focus on beer, the selection of which they carefully curate but wine is also available. The staff are very friendly and helpful and will immediately make you feel welcomed.

Lovely local bottle shop! Always a great range on tap (and usually a significantly percentaged DIPA to see you on your way!) plus a huge selection in the chill cabinets. Very simple but stylish interior, super hosts; the best place to stop for a beer in the Bay by miles.

Nice little bottle shop with a good selection of beer on tap. There is a nice area to sit outside which is quite quiet and caught the evening sun nicely. My only disappointment was that most of the beer on didn't seem to be that local. I was on holiday and keen to try a few local breweries.

Always vastly knowledgeable and welcoming. Great for a little sit in drink as well as they have beers on tap. If you want recommendations the guys are always happy to help and really do come up with some stellar beers. You just tell them what you want and what you like, even what meal you're having and they will find something great for you.

Really cute and airy bottle shop with a good selection of cans and bottles (including gluten free options) and a couple brews on tap. A cozy indoor seating section in the back and a large picnic table outside mean it's a solid four season place! Would not recommend for large groups though (max a group of four if saying in).

Went to Evan’s for the first time today with the family for Sunday Lunch. The menu had plenty of variety, great choices on the kids menu too. At £4.95 for a kids dinner, including pudding (ice cream) and a drink, we thought this represented very good value. Food was of a very good standard (we both had the chicken dinner) and the sticky toffee pudding and homemade honeycomb cheese cake were perfect as a cheeky pudding treat afterwards. Staff were lovely, very friendly and attentive. A really nice environment and overall a great place to eat with an excellent menu. We will be back!

Nice Sunday lunch at reasonable prices. 4 adults all had different meats and all were very nice, as were children's meals. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Samuel Smith's organic lager, very nice and reasonable price. Lastly, if you like lashings of g gravy on your Sunday roast, this is the place for you.

Brilliant atmosphere, fantastic food including gluten free pancakes that were perfect and fab staff. Well worth a visit. The menu is fantastic and caters to all dietary needs I can conceive. Well done to the people behind Evan's! Local gem.

You must try Evan's Bistro, it provides high quality food and service, very much value for money The food was high quality and tasted amazing, it was very much value for money. Evan's provides a wide range of menu options supported by a fantastic drinks menu. The service was first class and delivered with a smile. The atmosphere was spot on for meals with friends and family, it was also be suitable for dates. I have also booked the whole restaurant for an event and was again very impressed with the quality of service and food to cater for a group of 30+. I would highly recommend visiting Evan's Bistro which is a short walk from Whitley Bay metro and the sea front.

It's a pleasant short walk around a lake, has a few inclines and steps in places. Small car park was available. Signage could be better to show different routes, entrances and exists available.

Just a nice local place to walk a dog, paths are good, rarely any litter around, always looks best in the morning with dew on the grass.

Had the best time here yesterday. The owner was lovely, talkative and had two very sweet dogs. We had the wine flight which we loved and I would highly recommend. The food was also great - especially the patas bravas fries and the salt cod croquettes.

Great, friendly and knowledgeable spot. Great wine and charcuterie as well as a fantastic range of other items to buy. They have a fantastic small menu served from Friday to Sunday that is one of the very best in the area. Really worth a visit! I don't give ratings out often but this is worth it.

Lovely lunch with friends sharing tapas style food like delicious sardines on sourdough, duck rillettes on toasted sourdough, cheese board and charcuterie and of course wine. The shawn wss amazing helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back for more delicious food

Staff were very nice and helpful however there's a pricing problem. Not sure whether a corkage fee for wine bottles is appropriate given the theme of the shop but it being £7 per bottle is definitely not appropriate. The amount of cheese presented for £16 was disappointing, roughly 1 decent slice of four different cheeses. That said, the cheeses were delicious and help from staff was great.

Great selection of modern natural wines as well as salamis and cheese etc. wine available by the glass was good. Friendly service. Knowledgable too. Would love to go back

Great little wine bar and deli. Came here for dinner, two couples. Lovely atmosphere, wine was lovely and really delicious food. Would recommend the jersey royal bravas.

I love dropping in for a coffee, staff are so welcoming and the coffee is delicious. They have started doing small plate foods which I can't wait to try xx

Stopped here on my way back from the beach. Absolutely lovely! Everything on the shop is soo cute! I would've buy everything if I could. A lot of postcards and costers, some brilliant note planers and great pictures for framing. I especially loved the ones done with the tweed showing the light house. Awesome!

I adore this shop! The items are so pleasing and great quality. During lockdown I have placed two online orders. The brown paper packages tied up with string is a simple idea but makes all the difference. To receive a parcel prepared in such a personalised way is a joy! One of the best local businesses around the North East! The team are always friendly and super in helping you find what you're looking for. The products they stock are unique and are a great representation of the North! Always great quality. I have bought for myself and gifts for others and they have ways been loved. It's my favourite go to place for gifts.

If I could have left no stars I would. I ordered a Powder short Kimono to be wrapped & delivered for my friend's 50th birthday. Order was confirmed, AND delivery was confirmed in Shop app which I had to download. The gift did not arrive and I only found out by asking my friend on her birthday then had to revisit app to to told they had refunded me - no reason at all. Don't think I can recall such shoddy service in years. I have never before complained about an online retailer. But I have been left utterly disappointed - especially as they were so many other options to buy from but I chose this boutique as it wrapped the gift and promised timely delivery. I have visited this shop quite a few times now as it sells some quirky items and nice gifts. The only thing that puts me off is the lack of a welcome when you go in. I don't think I've ever had a hello and a smile and although I've tried to make conversation it isn't reciprocated. Makes me feel rather self conscious.

So lucky to have this fabulous boutique on my doorstep. So much choice in such a variety of things; clothes, jewellery, shoes and many accessories, not to forget the gorgeous fragrances in candles, diffusers, hand cream, sanitizer and lip gloss! Brilliant brand names makes it easy to add to my wardrobe anytime and always get great advice. It’s a gem of a place and highly recommended!

An absolutely fantastic independent boutique in Whitley Bay. Great clothes, even better shoes and some lovely gifts and treats too. My favourite is One Hundred Stars. Staff are lovely and helpful too - an all round great place to visit.

I love this shop! Ethically sourced, beautiful clothes which are true to size. It’s my first and my last stop shop…and it’s in my home town. And I know that there aren’t dozens in my size. A lovely shopping experience with knowledgeable and engaging staff. An absolute gem, all that is best about shopping locally.

Opening times are really frustrating, hard to find any time to study as it shuts early everyday and I finish college at 4. Would be helpful if it opened on sundays or even later on a saturday.

They can’t organise a piss-up in a brewery! More than 3. Weeks ago I paid £10 to have my old tv removed and they promised to come on June11th. Didn’t come. Rang them, promised they’d come on June 12th. Surprise surprise, no show. Rang them on Friday 13th June.after so long on hold they advised me it could be 5 weeks!!!! Talk about leave it for the thieves to take it! Do better to leave it on the Councils doorstep and see how they like it! Efficiency at its finest….NOT. Worthy winners of Zero stars.

Lovely small library with great views of St Mary's Island from the stairwell.

Amazing service and such a lovely place. Took my 3 year old son on his first visit to a library. The staff were so lovely and let him stamp his own books, it was super easy to sign up (actually signed up as him, so he has his own little library card) and there is a nice little kids section with Lego, soft toys and loads of books for all ages. They even have a lot of events on things to do with the kids during summer and hand out awards if they read a few books. And best of all… It’s all free! Absolutely amazing place! We now have a thing to do on Saturday mornings and he loves it!

Not happy with NTC parking policy. CEO 022 North Shields is a Joke. 54 seconds waited, no time to get a visitors parking pass. Customer Service OK got 2 stars.

Staff at Whitley Bay Library are the best. Library is always clean. Plenty medicated wipes at all tables. Toilets are clean. Library always has a new arrivals shelves upstairs. To conform to EEC regulations when the building opened in 2012 there were new innovative changes. Visited on a pre Stormy forecast day due to Storm Eunice due and Library was extremely quiet. Pre ordered The Remains of the Day, by a Japanese author. Staff very helpful. Have watched the film over the years but now ready to read the novel. Can't imagine that before WW2 Stately homes ever existed to cater for one single Lord.

Be aware of this… this is not free park for ALL DAY. Only for 2hrs limited. Just FYI. If you going to Wetherspoon, put alarm on your phone so you can get the car out of this park before 2hrs’ up.

Great B&B comfortable bed clean room good breakfast and really friendly host's Jerry and Margaret, Very close to sea front and town centre. I stayed on my own while visiting some mates i served with in the RN, and would certainly recommend this guest house to any one visiting the north east.

Most of the furniture we own is from Blueberry Square! The quality is amazing and such gorgeous products which are great value for money. The owners are very knowledgeable about their products and will happily help indecisive customers like myself to make an informed decision. Husband very impressed by how sturdy and well made it all is and he is very difficult to please. We've seen some lovely Christmas decorations on the website so we'll order again soon.

After 6 years all my furniture I purchased from this family owned/run store in the centre of Whitley Bay is showing no signs of any issues. When I bought the ex display sofa bed I was very impressed, that there is a top quality build with this sofa. They deal with a UK well known manufacturer. Park view is a rare treat of a street, and Blueberry Square is one of those wonderful shops - clearly family run, with a warm friendly atmosphere. I am often in there, and have them to thank for much of my furniture as well as always being on hand for gifts for all ages. Wonderful!

We LOVE Fun Little Foodies! The classes are fabulous. It’s a really welcoming environment where everyone succeeds at making something tasty and nutritious. They also accommodate my daughter’s dairy intolerance without a blink, nothing is a problem and there’s yet to be a recipe that she hasn’t been able to make. Can not recommend FLF enough for regular classes, holiday classes and parties - we love it so much we’ve done them all 🤣

My 3 year old grandson loves Foodies. He enjoys making and tasting a huge variety of food. Kirsten is brilliant with the kids and knows exactly how to make cooking fun! I would recommend these classes to anyone with kids!

Katie is great with the children and my son really enjoys coming to the class every week. The food is varied and he loves trying new things and learning how to cook! Would recommend

Such a fantastic place. Teaching children how to cook, measuring ingredients themselves. They count , chop, mix and use different coloured bowls and instruments. Once the food is in the oven the children have a themed story that links into what they’ve cooked and then they do a craft . Such great fun with our grandchildren that we’ve now taken all 4 of them

Great classes! My little one loves them and we also do the recipes at home. The crafts are always a hit and the recipes never disappoint. Totally recommend them!

Really recommend the preschool classes, my son gets really excited for 'cooking class' and it's been a game changer for getting him to try new foods (he rarely lets me share whatever he's made!).

Foodies is our favourite part of the week and has given my daughter an excellent attitude towards trying and enjoying new foods. I can't recommend it enough!

I arrived an hour before the show was due to start, there were plenty of parking spaces available. The car park is directly next to the playhouse, so is perfect for those visiting. The car park is free to stay (yey), and is just a couple of minutes walk from amusements, fish and chips, ice cream etc. I went for fish and chips before the show started, making it an even better night!

Amazing place, my daughter maisie started and was very shy Steph and Nathan have been brilliant with her she has flourished over the past year in dance and confidence I never dreamed she would be able to get up and compete in competitions due to her shyness however she did and now loves every class and competition and that’s thanks to her brilliant dance teachers.

It is a beautiful park and so well maintained. Love to see more activities taking place in this park. There is a corner for everyone.. benches, play area for children, duck pond, bike area, bowling, a cafe and lovely walks with our pooches. There is also a herb garden. Truly lovely

What a lovely park. We’ve driven past so many times but today was the day to explore. It’s beautifully maintained so many lovely plants and trees. Paths going off in all directions loads of benches to sit and relax and a cafe with toilets. What’s more to love?

This is a lovely and very well maintained park. It has a bandstand and a cafe as well as an old pet cemetery! Don't stick to the main path. Have a wonder up and down the sides. The bird song is amazing. This is a very quiet park. There is a good playground for the kids and a cycle track. Ignore the opening times on Google Maps. It's open every day til 7pm as far as I know

Lovely little park, ideal for taking the dog for a walk, also with a nice playground for kids. There is also a cafe with outside seating area and toilets.There is a small pond in the centre of the park and a bandstand. Plenty of seats and the park looks nice when all the flowers are in bloom.

Beautiful little park! Café bright, clean and reasonably priced. Indoor & outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Dog friendly - water bowls outside filled with fresh water. Lots of interesting facts scattered around the place from medieval leper hospital to trees planted from chestnuts brought back from France after WWI. There's an old pet cemetery with headstones to commemorate long gone beloved pets. One brought a tear to my eye especially - in memory of a dog rescued from the beaches in Normandy in 1944 & who lived a long life in North Shields. Wonder if anyone knows the full story? Well worth a visit!
