Good place. The service is fast and friendly. The meal I had was delicious and a decent portion for the price. The coffee was very good and they have several dairy alternatives. The menu is extensive with a wide selection of dishes and includes a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options. There's also a good selection of cakes and cookies. They are usually quite busy, but I've always been able to get a table.

Took my little one for breakfast today, had the chicken waffle, it was amazing. Really like the kids menu, some different & more healthy things from usual kids menus. Ordered scrambled egg, avocado & beans for my toddler. Nice to go somewhere & be able to eat something different

Had a lovely lunch here, definitely need to return for the afternoon tea one day which looks incredible!! Really nice place and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Great selection on the menu and would recommend a visit thank you :)

Wonderful place, that's what I needed. They have a lot of dairy free and gluten free products. When I asked about cakes from this category they had two left, but unfortunately they also contained products that I can't eat, like nuts and cocoa, the staff was very apologetic about not having a cake for me, it was very nice for me. I highly recommend this place🤩🥰

We had a fantastic Mother’s Day brunch at The Glass Strawberry. The service and servers were 5*; the staff are genuinely happy to be there and it made the whole experience so relaxed and you feel completely catered for. The food and drinks were great - special mention to the mimosa for being so fresh and the coffee for being so tasty 😋 This was our first visit and we will most definitely be coming back for one of your afternoon teas! My mum loved it so much. Thank you for helping us create an amazing core memory with my family 💕 See you soon!

As vegetarians we had a lovely experience. The food was hot and very tasty. Would love to come again. Veg lasagna fantastic.

Served the worst ploughman's I have ever had. All the salad/veg was dry. Tiniest pork pie I have ever seen. Single slice of poor quality ham. Bread roll barely baked and looked like it was from a supermarket. Cheese was very mild with no flavour. Very disappointed and will not be coming back.

This Tea Room was quite busy when I visited; it was a very warm day so there were lots of customers sitting outside enjoying the sunshine. I chose to sit inside. I enquired about gluten free options; the owner indicated to several cake/tray bakes however these were in with other cakes, not labelled gluten free and did not have separate serving utensils. I am not coeliac but avoid gluten. I ordered a tuna mayo jacket which was very tasty but looked ridiculous on an oversized plate with a small amount of salad. The pot of tea was good.

An exceptional little café in Cusworth. It wasn't too busy when we visited so the food didn't take too long to arrive. The salad and sausage sandwich were £8.50 each and tasted delicious, highly recommend!

We went to Cusworth Hall with our son, daughter-in-law yesterday (11/5/25) and had a lovely day. Went to Butlers Cafe and my husband and myself had a ham sandwich with homemade coleslaw salad and crisps which was absolutely delicious, I had a pot of tea and I got 2 cups out of it and there was enough left for a third cup but by then we were ready for moving on, the staff were really helpful and pleasant.

Quite a long wait to be served at the till and no scones of any kind, but the rarebit, cheese sandwich and jacket potato with cheese had beans were a good size and didn't take too long to come once the order actually went in. Polite staff. Separate toilets next to the other eatery is a bit awkward, but that's just how it is at Cusworth.

Miserable staff and food very bad. BLT served with overcooked bacon, Coleslaw no flavour, salad was shredded lettuce 2 cherry tomato halves no dressing. No salt and pepper on tables in dog friendly section which was filthy. Breakfast - 1 of each an absolute joke, cheap sausage, over cooked bacon, under cooked tomatoes, soggy cold mushrooms, egg was adequate and black pudding tasteless. If you are going to serve second rate food for a £10 charge at least have the decency to smile and be pleasant when you rip me off. Nearly £40 for 2 breakfasts and BLT with tea and coffee.

Can I just remind the staff here that your customers aren’t your enemy and infact are the reason why you make a living. Visited loads but this time was just the cherry on top of the pie.. waitress spilt hot tea on my dog causing it to bark rapidly which disturbed rest of customers. Tried to make conversation with the management staff and they just shrugged me off. the accessibility of the place is just a shambles, no wheelchair ramps or anything and the butlers tea rooms sign near the museum was in my way so couldn’t go past a certain point and was trying to wheel my way around it for half of the time . Thanks but no thanks. Shant be visiting again.

Service was personal and great, a brilliant cup of coffee and breakfast all at reasonable prices too! The homemade cakes were also excellent. I will definitely be coming back here.

The staff are extremely helpful, and a special thanks goes to Raya for her outstanding hospitality. She took the time to give me a little insight into her family's business, which was a wonderful touch. I will definitely be stopping by for their lovely food and cakes the next time I'm in the area.

I have visited quite a few times now. Staff pleasant and polite. Service can be slow but as most food cooked to order, it makes sense. Usually a good selection of cakes and scones, decent menu. All food I have had been of good quality. They also have a loyalty card where after 6 drinks you get one free.

The food was honestly sub par, the coffee was cold with a very bitter after taste. We waited in a long queue for coffee but then waited so long for breakfast it was almost time for my evening meal! Our table was sticky and the noise was next level. My first and last visit here.

Nice and tasty selection of foods and gluten free options during the day. GF cake options are kept separate and covered from the rest. Staff are knowledgeable about food allergens and do have an allergen book available upon request. Foods ordered to go are clearly labelled. Lovely atmosphere. Great variety of coffee and non-coffee based drinks. Love the selection of books and toys for kids to use.

I ordered cake for my daughter’s birthday . It was amazing and the taste was to die for , who ever tastes the cake said it was so good and yummy . They are very honest and make sure they do everything right for you! And i adore the coffee i get from them 😋😋 Thank a lot !!

Beautiful just beautiful. Took my friend for birthday lunch and she was having a really crappie day but staff brought her a free cake with a candle and sang happy birthday. Then our friend wasn't well at home and we had some ham leftover n Rachel the manager made her a massive sandwich at no cost. They do quiz on Friday night but you need to book. It's not a massive place but has a gorgeous courtyard. Can't rate this highly enough xx

Beautiful old building with lots of charm. Great staff, a strong selection of food and drinks. Very dog friendly. We often just sit outside either for breakfast on a morning or a few beers on a Friday night and we love it. Management are great and it’s great to see the place going from strength to strength

Bought myself a take away emotional support cake to cheer me up after a crappy day and this place did not disappoint! I got a Victoria sponge cake and it was huge! Great price too and tasted so good! Will definitely be back

Been looking forward to this for weeks....Table booked for 13:30 but asked to get there for 13:15 as they had a big party coming. The four of us arrived at 13:15 and were seated, well actually we seated ourselves as he took a while to come back to us. We all ordered afternoon tea, which took a bit of ordering because the waitress wasn't entirely sure about the fillings and had to go away and find out. You would think it would be fairly quick at coming out seeing as it's all cold, wrong, we still hadn't had a pot of tea on the table 45 minutes later 🤨 when the waiter brought the cups they were dirty with tea ring stains so had to be sent back, and the tea was tepid so had to ask for an actual hot pot of tea grrr. When the sandwiches and cake arrived they looked amazing 😍 shame the bread was turning stale, obviously left out, done enough complaining by this time so got stuck in regardless. Fillings were lovely and the cake was good too, massive slice! Afterwards we fancied cocktails but the coffee machine wasn't working so no martini espresso, at that point we called it a day and asked for the bill which obviously took another 20 minutes!! Felt a bit sorry for the lass who took payment and asked "was everything ok" 😂😂😂 NO!

The food was absolutely delicious! And the staff we're so friendly and attentive. I visited on a Thursday and it was 2 for 1 cocktails and acoustic night, the musician was really talented and funny, it was a great atmosphere. The cocktails we're freshly made and tasted amazing and a bargain with them being 2 for 1. I would definitely visit again!

I imagine this place gets missed by many as it's located in office space, and is probably busiest through the week. I highly recommend checking this place out! Friendly staff, excellent playlist, delicious food and it's dog friendly. I had the best porridge I've ever had. It's not far the Yorkshire Wildlife Park so I'm sure we'll be back again at some point!

Discovered this little gem today and it’s right on my doorstep! For some reason I was under the impression that it was like a work canteen for businesses in that area but it’s definitely open to the general public! The atmosphere is lovely, lots of seating at the time we went and dog friendly. The food selections were plentiful with lots of delicious choices. They have a breakfast serving and a lunch serving. We visited at lunch time and I opted for a jacket potato with beans and cheese and loved how it was presented allowing you to add the toppings how you wished. Also had a lovely hot chocolate which was also delicious. The staff here were very friendly and helpful, you are able to take a seat and place your order by scanning a QR code and the order is brought to your table. It was clean, tidy and presentable. There is also toilet facilities in the reception area. I totally recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again!

Brilliant place, lovely food (the chilli (jacket) wasn't spicy but that's because most people order spicy food and then complain that it's spicy) but it was delicious! And the coffee was lovely too! Staff were friendly and efficient and the music was good without being too intrusive.

Wonderful experience! I had the avocado on sourdough and added halloumi which was perfect. My partner had the bowl and the standouts were broccoli and the couscous but every ingredient was delicious. All three staff we chatted to were super lovely and the whole atmosphere of the cafe was so relaxed. If I lived here it would be my weekly outing!

Called in with our bulldog, after my mother in law had told us about this place. WOW loved it from the moment we walked in, we got a dog bed as we went to our seat, they also had doggie treats. We both had one of the nourish bowls, I had feta, my partner had chicken and the ingredients were super fresh and yummy. All the staff made a fuss of our dog, one even came and sat with her whilst we told him her story of how we rescued her. The atmosphere was so chilled and cool, we really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!!

Very impressed with the service and food here - delicious veggie breakfast, especially the spicy chickpea and spinach bake and you can swap items which is always nice. Very dog friendly.

Visited Highfield Coffee Social for the first time and sadly left disappointed. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive, which wasn’t the end of the world, but when it finally came it wasn’t right. The hash browns were missing from the order and the poached eggs on the avocado and toast were completely overcooked, more like hard boiled. For the price and wait, I expected better. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

Fantastic produce in the shop at great prices and friendly helpful staff ⭐⭐⭐⭐ However, we were a little disappointed by the cafe. Not a great ambience and whilst we were there, despite being quiet they couldn't get our order correct. They asked how we would like our eggs and I chose runny yokes and my wife requested hers hard yolk and flipped......mine came overcooked and my wife's was runny and not flipped. A minor hitch but what is the point of asking a customers preference if you can't delive. I did mention this to a member of staff but nothing was actually done. The other issue is the tea. I ordered Earl Grey but was given Darjeeling Earl Grey mix. Not the same at all. Smallish issues but the cafe is just not good enough to make us want to return.

Access is interesting as you have to drive down a long single track road to get there. Car park is way too small for the amount of visitors. If you want to eat in the cafe you need to book first thing in the morning. The main farm shop has a very comprehensive butchery department but I thought the prices were way over the top. I can not fault the baked goods stall. Home made pasties, sausage rolls, pies and quiche etc are all excellent. There is also a rather good fresh veg stand but it's tucked away in a remote corner out of site. I got the impression that this is very much a local shop for local people if you know what I mean. Very friendly staff. I will definitely be returning if only for baked goods. Lamb and mint pie was fantastic. Prices were good for baked produce.

Been meaning to come here a while now, but just couldn't find the time until today. Farm shop looked great, prices not too expensive as a farm shop. Great friendly service and clean Cafe... Again friendly service and the food, wow. You can certainly taste the quality of the produce which makes it even more exciting when I get home as we bought quite a few things Highly recommend

I like the tearoom, and like to buy meat from the butcher. Gave 3 stars because of the lack of hygene in the butcher. I couldn't believe that he shoved his bare hands (black finger nails disgusted me) in the minced meat to weigh it. Where are the gloves?! The owners should be aware and do something about it. It is against the public health rules!

Had a nice cup of "Tea Pigs" everyday tea and a substantial toasted teacakes in the cafe. Also went to the farm shop, great selection of sausages and meats. Bought a good sized Rib eye 🥩, not cheap, but what is these days.

Delicious afternoon tea here with my Daughter them checked out the farm shop. Very nice, fresh produce at reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back.

I have visited this Costa a few times now and every time it just doesn't have a nice feel to it...it's a fairly decent size so we can get a table...but each time our tables have been dirty. I dont find thw staff to be very friendly either, they have 'banter' between themselves fairly loudly...but no interaction really with customers. The toilet isn't very nice....water all over. I had to try roll my trouser legs over my knees while also trying to pull them down so my trousers weren't sat in all the water on the floor. It's definitely not a costa I would choose if I had other options.

Was quite busy when we visited there was a bit of a queue but it was dinner time and it was chucking it down so that didn't help. Got a table ok and the staff were doing their best to keep the queue moving. The hot chocolate was tasty and hot and of a good size. Hubby has a card for here so when he's got enough points he'll get a free cuppa

Costa is not dog friendly 😒 but some mangers go against company policy . I won't be coming in here again . If I want smelly dogs 🐕 next to me when I'm eating , I will go to the kennels . Get your act together Costa Doncaster .

Costa a-lotta! 🤣 Gone from 3 times a day to a treat once every month or so. Just not worth it but enjoy it when I do and will normally always grab a mocha. Tastes great, especially as it's not bought 3 times a day anymore lol From nearly £20 a day to upto £10 every 2 months! Think about it, 6days a week that's £120! £500 per month roughly! Plus sides, Wait times are generally quite good anytime I go, if there is a queue, the staff just work like clockwork and just steam through and still look professional. Bariasta's are always great, they do a great job and deserve better pay for what's being charged per drink. In fact, Costa staff make me want to get a coffee and sit in, very hospitable and try to connect with every single customer. Watch this anytime I drank my coffee and sat in, just great people. Pay them more!🙌🏽❤️

Try to put some ashtrays on the tables outside. Smokers pay huge taxes!! They deserve to be treated with the same respect like the non-smokers. Thank you!

Staff are very welcoming, it's only a small place but has so much character. Chilled environment, does get busy at times which is good seeing everyone either just relaxing or socialising with group gatherings. Food is very nice, we have eaten from the lunch menu and had a gracing/cheese board on an evening and its always been good quality food.

Absolutely love this place, whilst working on the road its rough to find nice spots but this place ticks all the boxes. Nice location, gorgeous food, cute interiors (very insta worthy) and THE BEST iced latte's I have ever had. Really recommend Fika to anyone in or out of the area!

A gem of a place, my partner & myself pass this place on our lengthy walks from rossington to bessacar & beyond. The staff are ace, the cakes awesome, theres a great variety of hot, cold & alcoholic beverages plus plenty of room inside + outdoor seating also. Well worth a visit, will remember to take photos next time.

Arrived too early to attend local church fete so called in for cup of tea. Had a great brew served by a friendly assistant. Yorkshire tea in a Yorkshire mug served by a Yorkshire lady. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will come to this cafe again.

Fast becoming a go to for a light lunch treat when out shopping. This is tucked away up the street so can be difficult to find unless you know where you are going. Beautiful food and well presented from a small menu which is all cooked up from scratch. Tea comes with a biscuit which is lovely. I got a slice of homemade apple pie to take take out which was beautiful, will do again. The inside is quirky in design which I love and very cosy. The staff are great too, approachable and friendly. Prices are really reasonable- not many places you can get this quality of lunch for approximately £7.

We came across this place by accident but what a find. Lovely little coffee shop with great coffee and a nice small selection of cakes. The service was efficient and friendly and the place has a relaxing atmosphere with quirky tables, comfy chairs and gentle background music. There's a couple of tables outside for when the weather is good. This may have just become our new favourite coffee shop in Doncaster.

Lovely little place with great staff and lovely food

Brimming with atmosphere and good food and drink. Had a salmon and cream cheese bagel which was presented with coleslaw and a light side salad and it was just perfect for a lunch time treat. The summer pineapple drink I had was delicious and presented really well. The atmosphere and music in the back in time cafe is amazing also, a gentle and soothing bosa nova album was playing and the cafés decor feels like a you truly have gone back to a simpler time. You'll find yourself taking time out of the day to just enjoy the ambience, not look at your phone and relax as you enjoy your lunch. Thanks again guys really glad I found this place

Recommended by a friend at work who has always had a pleasant experience visiting so I took the opportunity to see for myself. This cafe is a real gem with lovely coffee and home made cakes, service was spot on and lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be recommending this cafe to friends and relatives and look forward to returning again soon

Lovely quiet place in town centre. Loved the whole vintage vibe it gives you. Foodwise, everything we tried was delicious and freshly baked. Absolutely tasty, we'll definitely visit again.

I love your matchas and pistachio crossaunts but this has been the second time I ordered from uber eats and my orders were not complete! you only gave me a card, instead of refunding me or if the food was not available you could of taken it off on the list! very disappointed!

Lovely little cafe with great service. Used my free drink with octoplus and got my son a gingerbreadman, which he loved and ate the whole lot in less than 5 minutes. Free wifi is a bonus just for this little pit stop to feed my babies before an appointment. Will be back

Great staff but very tired place, needs a complete overhaul. Such a shame for a large brand to let their stores go like this. Feels like a drop in centre!

Always great service from the staff. They work quick and efficiently. The place doesn't have a great layout. There's only a few 'comfy' chairs. The bottom area is better than the back area. The back is more like an old working man's club with the padded seats around the walls and a mish mash of unmatching furniture. The toilets need updating asap as they are also very dated and more suited to a grotty pub. Shame as it could be really nice and it's location is smack in the centre of Doncaster.

Blue light 10% discount. Nice welcoming atmosphere in the cafe. Nice and clean. Staff helpful and polite. Food not too bad, nothing out of this world but fill a hole. The toasties don’t need a gherkin on top of them. Consider having a fixed table number system to allow servers to locate tables quicker rather than them looking for random numbers around the cafe.

Mmm... £8.70 for a slice of white bread with processed avocado (judging by the perfect mush and bright green it's not fresh), feta and literally a vine of whole tomatoes. Not even enough to fill the small plate 🤔 Coffee is bitter. Unpleasant to sit inside unless you're deaf due to the constant loud banging of the metal portafilter being bashed on the metal knock box. Maybe add a bit of rubber like other cafes do? Such a shame as it's really well situated and has a good atmosphere.

It was very busy, staff are welcoming and efficient. Really nice coffee and scones. I Like that you order at the counter and your drinks etc are brought to your table.

Couldn't decide so we took almond croissant and cannoli. Really delicious. Oh and that earl grey with soy milk was so delightful! Changed my mind about tea with milk then. I thought i saw that girl behind the counter back in time, or maybe it was just an impression because she was nice like my grandma :)

A nice modern cafe pleasant if busy staff. A little expensive. Yet another cafe filled with retirees. Without them there would be no business. I hope the company thinks to do a pensioner special menu.

Really lovely food, very busy but it was a Saturday morning. They allow dogs which can result in it being a bit stressful with dogs barking but good other than that will definitely return at quieter times.

Probably the best thing about Bentley! The food is gorgeous and good value for money. They do specials all the time, which aren't your norm and certinaly different from anything else you can get in the area. The staff are so lovely and friendly. The little children's play area is a hit for my daughter who loves the little kitchen and big sloth teddy! I've only been for breakfast a few times, but it's great to go there for a relaxed bite to eat and coffee, then head into the park for a walk and my daughter to play in the playground. They do lots of community work and themed food nights and quizzes. My dad has been to the quiz and really enjoyed it. I definitely want to try the quiz and a themed evening myself! Hope they keep being successful as they really make the park something special.

One of the best English breakfasts I’ve ever had. Bacon was cooked to perfection which I’m very fussy about because I won’t eat any fat. Great presentation too. Only feedback is the smell inside the cafe. Could do with some air vents so customers don’t go home smelling of their food.

Horrible expensive food... 1st visit i had a breakfast. Eggs were not cooked and was still gooey. Wife can also only eat small portions and was frowned upon for having a childs meal. And was brought out on a plastic plate. Clearly could see we had no children with us. Recently my son had cheesy chips... £4.50 for 10 chunky chips. Was also barely warm... yes my review was harsh and very little words. So I've gone into more detail here.

Great location and nice cafe with a good atmosphere. Breakfast is served till 1pm and lunch items available from 11am. We had avo eggs, a fry up and eggs & bacon which were all yummy and plus a pot of tea and iced latte came to £21.

Best coffee all week! Amazing food, friendly staff who made room for my mums wheelchair without any notice. Price is fair, £30.90 for 3 breakfasts with lattes. Will be back. Might be my new favourite. Thanks for being here guys!

I've been holding off doing a review for this place because I don't really want to say anything negative. I've been a couple of times previously for breakfast, and it was very nice, I just never got round to doing the review. Unfortunately, on this visit, things were a little different. Two of us had mouldy toast, and I also had shell in my fried egg (but it didn't stop us from eating the rest). I do like this place and didn't want to kick off about it, so I had a quiet word with the guy behind the counter. He couldn't apologise enough and offered me a refund, which I refused, and then he came to our table and offered us some free food, which we also refused. I only informed him because I didn't want anyone else to have the same experience. The people working there are really nice and the food has been great on previous occasions. Maybe we were just unlucky this time. I'm not sure if we will be returning though. It is a shame because, as I said, I did like this place, jury's out for now.

Popped in today for the first time and we'll definitely return. Really pleased with the food and the service and everything was very clean and tidy. Staff very pleasant. Price-wise on a parr with other places but here was much a more pleasurable experience.

When we visit Doncaster, which honestly is not often, this is the place we visit to eat. Clean, very pleasant staff, reasonable prices, with generous portions. Well worth a visit

Update 2 years later: £9.50 for a jacket potato and a coffee! Outrageous. The skin on the potato wasn’t edible and they didn’t seem to understand what beans & coleslaw means (see pic) My Step-Mum’s bacon roll was a huge roll with 2 tiny bits of bacon. Won’t be going back as it’s just over-priced nowadays. 2018: Lovely café, always go here when I’m in Donny. Since the renovation it’s huge and looks really nice. The menu is very very long, could say too much choice even! Prices are fair and the staff is friendly. Good grub indeed !

Stopped off through Doncaster for some lunch. Was looking for vegan options alongside meat options for my partner. I had the vegan lasagna which was so good! Came with a lovely fresh salad and fries.

Nice little discovery, I need to be in Doncaster for a couple of weeks and I will be sure to pop back for lunch a few times to try other items of the extensive menu... I had the chicken tikka on baguette with side salad. Very tasty with everything appearing home prepared and definitely fresh. Reasonably priced and a very clean, well presented cafe with attentative staff. Well worth a visit!

Nice cup of Bali beaned pour over. Friendly staff and food coffee. Think the bathroom could do with some attention though as there were no towels etc in there.

I walked in with a parent of mine and I was instantly blown away by the beautiful atmosphere. The customer service was really good too and the prices are fair as well. There was a great amount of coffee choices but not too overwhelming. Even waiting for my coffee was a passionate experience. The waiting time is good too and when I got my coffee, it was a honey bee late I ordered, the taste was unlike any other. I was impressed by my first sip. The cake was also a delight as well. Beautifully designed and thus, I recommend to anyone near the area.

A lovely little coffee shop in the heart of the city. Wide selection of drinks and snacks. Only downside is no WiFi so working isn’t great. More of a meeting space than a space I could do serious work due to the layout but it if I wanted a catch up meeting to discuss things this would be the venue

Choice of food a bit limited but what they have is good. Coffee goodish but could have been stronger. Good service. Atmosphere a bit quiet but Doncaster as a whole was quiet on the day (Friday 10.30am) I visited. High streets dying very sadly.

Stopped in by chance whilst walking to the train station. Their coffee was absolutely excellent and the cinnamon swirl I ordered was bigger than my hand. Chargers by the seats are handy, and include a USB option for people travelling light. Staff were tremendously friendly, I’ll be back.

Ordered a crème brûlée iced brown sugar oat shaken espresso and received a half empty cup with a pure water and espresso flavour. Tried to add my own milk into it but unfortunately I couldn’t save the drink as it was insanely diluted and bitter. As attached in my photos, I’ve never seen this drink look this way before.

Don’t typically use the drive thrus at coffee shops, prefer to sit in. However this Starbucks drive thru was fast, efficient, and easy to use. My drink was hot, quickly made and tasted great. Even having Shannon on the other side of the drive thru screen, she was bubbly and energetic as always. Keep it up! Great service!

I ordered via deliveroo, I have a dairy allergy and I ordered a dairy free drink with vegan whip and caramel syrup, I received a semi skimmed ice latte with no cream or syrup ( that I paid £7 for). This is ridiculous and very dangerous with no consideration for the wellbeing of the customer. There is no contact number for the Starbucks so I am out of pocket and without my order.

Very awkward place. They are advertising as evri drop off point but they refuse to accept parcels for some silly reasons. Its always " to early in the morning" "to late in the evening" "we not taking car parts" etc. Dont take your parcels there

Working on a bank holiday is never a pleasure but having great friends is a blessing. A couple a close friends pulled me out for a coffee and cake. A time to relax and rescue an hour of my day ha. A short walk up the high street and onto silver street which is so different during the day. The £2m improvements have transformed the street and I was already feeling the calm as we headed down towards Bone Idle Lounge We have travelled far and wide together and bone idle perfectly imitates a European coffee shop bar lounge. Sitting there I could have been sat in Utrecht. Krakow. Brugge many many places. I chose a black Americano and a Blonde brownie with chocolate chip. One friend chose a coke and a chocolate Chunk brownie, while the other had a rum and coke. My coffee was rich and flavoursome and complimented the sweetness of the blonde chocolate chip brownie. The brownie was moist and chewy but still quite light and not heavy. It was a descent size and for me there was just enough. Coffee Enjoyed thoroughly till the last sip ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Blonde chocolate chip brownie was soft chewy and full of flavour without being too heavy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service was excellent. The owner has a lovely mild mannered persona and speaks with a confident soft voice. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This place was like transporting away for those moments. Great for relaxing and chatting. Music plays softly in the background and ranges across various genres. Li fi jazz. Indie. Country. Blues. Naming a few. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The location is great. The short walk moves you away from the bustle of town and you are calm and ready to chill. Day time very close to the Corn exchange and the newly developed Wool market. Night time it is positioned in the heart of Doncasters hospitality industry with the Wool market and the European restaurants and takeaways one way and bars, Clubs and restaurants the other. Cannot wait to meet and relax with friends here on a night and soak up more of the atmosphere

In the chaos that is an evening on silver street, Bone idle is a wonderful safe haven. A cosy and beautiful aesthetic welcomes You as You enter, with further warmth coming from being greeted by the staff. The cocktail menu is perfectly curated with changing seasonal and themed additions. The options available for dairy free drinks are fantastic with lots off extras like syrups and liqueur available. I also love that many of canned drinks such as ale and soft drinks are sourced from smaller companies. This is the perfect place for those wanting to enjoy drinks with friends in an environment where the music is loud enough to create ambience but quiet enough that a conversation can easily be had. Perfect for resting your feet after shopping during the day and for cocktail treats in the evening, definitely a place to visit!

I've been meaning to go in her for a long time but never had the chance and I'm a creature of habit so usually stick to places I know. This place came highly recommended from many people so today I decided to pop in and get a coffee. From the moment I walked in it was welcoming. Staff member is super lovely and got on very well with. All the customers that all seem like regulars were really nice too. The vibe was great and as a self proclaimed coffee snob, the coffee was so so nice. Best I've had in a very long time. Usually I need loads of sugar at other places but I only needed one in this place as the coffee was so nice and it didn't upset my stomach like some other places do. I loved coming here. Great drinks and prices. Great atmosphere. Great staff and customers. And it looks great and is welcoming. I highly recommend. I can see why it comes so highly recommend by alot of people I know.

Popped in to see if I could get a quick oat milk latte and not only was it an option, it was the default! (Dairy is available if you pay extra... but why would you? Try oat milk in your coffee, you won't go back!) Super-friendly service, would definitely go back. (Bonus points for vegan croissants next time though! 😆)

Absolutely love this little gem of a place!💕 Staff are so lovely, vibes are always immaculate & it's never a bad time to visit. Love popping in early for a takeaway coffee on the way back from a trip to the market or meeting friends for a couple of drinks & some board games in the evening. Fab little coffee shop. Stopped in after our visit to Go Outdoors for a pulled pork sandwich and a hot chocolate, it was yummy. Service was great and the staff were so friendly. Gorgeous cheesecake too. The kids loved exploring the tents while we sat for a drink and bite to eat. Little gem this place.

We called in last bank holiday weekend but despite being very busy the hosts gave us a lovely warm welcome ! We all ordered pulled pork stuffing and apple sauce sandwiches and paninis mmmm Blooming lovely !! Will be back and might treat ourselves to some of that stunning looking desert menu x

£10.50 for a large piece of carrot cake, Americano coffee & a flat white. Coffee was 10/10, nice staff. Very clean & tidy prep area. Prices ok. Very friendly and well turned out staff. Only points for improvement was a large spill on table before we sat down, I pointed this out but staff member didn't seem to understand, and no prices on drinks board. Otherwise v good and we will go back.

First visit today. We had the ploughman's sharing platter which was plenty for a hungry 2 but would feed more. The people serving were very welcoming and friendly. Inside looked nice and cosy with plenty of space between tables. We sat outside which was clean and tidy and lovely in the sun. From today's visit I would recommend and will be back.

Cake... Flavour was good but it was hard, felt like the cake has been sat out too long making the sponge hard. Ploughman's lunch, ok... Nothing special Cheese and Ham toastie...ok

Unfortunately did not have a good experience here. We waited 20/25 minutes for two cold dishes and one toastie - our tea water had gone lukewarm by this point so we was charged £1 for a new pot of hot water. The sandwich and toastie I was told were acceptable, and came with a nice fresh side salad and so did the quiche. However, I’m really sorry to say the the quiche was the worst I have ever had. It had a soggy bottom, no flavour and the texture was just off - almost grainy. For the time we had to wait for what was served, I was very disappointed. It may have just been that one particular experience that was a bad one, and looking at other reviews others seem happy. I won’t be visiting here again though to find out. I have separately rated the service as 5 stars however, as the staff were cheerful and friendly - no complaints there.

I walked down with a dog so had an outside seat but the service was still amazing and the weather was brilliant for us, I had the tuna mayo salad and a banana milkshake which was delicious!! I didn't have a chance to check out the inside or the toilets that much but I'd still recommend it!

Visited today with my elderly mum, daughter and granddaughter. We had such a lovely time. The menu is huge and offers everything from tea and toast to full meals, the portions are generous and the atmosphere was lovely. I also have to say our waitress was exceptional not just to us but everyone in the cafe. She was attentive, efficient and such a lovely young lady with a lovely smile. Thank you x

We've been regulars here for years. It's very popular and can get very busy, particularly on the weekend, but now we're retired we're fortunate to be able to visit when we know it'll be a bit quieter. The food is generally excellent (nothing we've had has ever been less than "good"), and it's reasonably priced. The staff have always been been friendly and welcoming, even when it's busy and they're rushed off their feet. There are a couple of areas for improvement. Better ventilation (it can get stuffy when it's full and the weather isn't suitable for opening the doors or windows), and more outside seating would be great in the better weather. But I realise the expenditure required is probably outside the control of the cafe proprietors. Tip: if its cake you're after, get there early for the widest choice.

Lovely Cafe, with a great selection of cakes 🍰. I had a nice cappuccino ☕ and Smashed Avocado 🥑 and poached egg 🥚 on toast, it came to just over 10£, it was lovely. The service was great 🤩 and they made me feel very welcome. Plenty of seating available and very clean inside. Toilets 🚻 area just around the corner from the entrance. Was looking forward to a spot of lunch. Staff were lovely. We ordered...a Large breakfast bap and a BLT sandwich & 2 teas. The teas arrived promptly, two pots, 2 cups and a jug of milk, it filled the table. We had to juggle a few things to make room for our plates of food. But there were 2 small baps, the server joked that they had no large baps left so split the contents between two small ones. Didn't find it that funny. I would have preferred it if they had asked our preference, I would have rather had a plated breakfast than 2 tiny baps, if I'd had the option. It wasn't until I started the second sandwich that I realised the eggs were missing. Staff offered to bring the eggs over but I was almost done. We were offered no discount in price for issues that were not our fault.

Try to book in advance, it gets pretty busy. Lunch was wonderful, Great taste. Worth stopping in. We loved that each table had a call button to push when your ready to order, need anything, or ready to pay. That made it very convenient.

PLEASE don't be put off people!! but the fact it's it's in the grounds to an abbotoir..( nothing to see) but a lovely on site fresh eating facility..family run, .Its a country kitchen atmosphere..food is amazing ! Got to sample the sausage and bacon on the breakfast...Done especially by this family butchers next door, can allow you to purchase all the meats freshly prepped on the site. Wonderful!!

We had seen recommendations for the breakfast so we had to try it. The Alternative Breakfast is amazing - sourdough toast with mushrooms, eggs, avocado slices and rocket, balsamic dressing, is an experience and the Butchers Breakfast is top class. Best double espresso I have had outside Italy. Staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient, and it's definitely a lovely family business. Stylish tableware too. Not cheap but worth it. Best to book but they'll fit you in if necessary. Interesting decor and a great atmosphere. Top marks and we'll be back !! Thank you !!

A wonderful cafe with fantastic food! Went with my bf today who had been before so knew it was better to book ahead as it is a small cafe. Called up this morning and they had space for us. I ordered off the special menu which changes EVERY month! Both our mains and dessert were absolutely brilliant (see photos!). The staff were all lovely and service was very good. There is a WC and both inside and outside eating space. Parking mostly on the road. Road is used by farm traffic so be thoughtful when parking to leave space. Very good value for money. Will definitely be back. Food pictured: chicken flatbread with pesto, stake and ale pie, pavlova, sticky toffee pudding.

Just want to say a huge thank you to all staff! I was nervous about coming in with two children (personal anxiety) but what a wonderful experience! The spooky milkshakes are a MUST!!! Great place, lovely home made cakes. Cream tea was a bit quirky as the scone was a square chunk not the normal looking round scone but it came hot out of the oven served with 2 jams and clotted cream. Served very nicely. Well worth a visit. Nice traditional tea room. will definitely go back.

Arguably the finest tea rooms in Doncaster, I personally wouldn't go anywhere else. Been going for years, never had a bad meal - food is excellent and the staff are very attentive. Smoked haddock fish cakes are sublime

Great food,great atmosphere and the staff are always friendly and helpful and never rush you to leave your table even if they are busy. The main menu it good and the "special board" changes frequently and give a good selection of food which is cooked freshly. If you in Doncaster and want a great lunch, snack or afternoon tea an a reasonable rice then this is the place you need to come to. It does get busy but the waiting long so go visit, you won't be disappointed.😊

A lovely Yorkshire tea room, with no real views but a nice cosy atmosphere and an elderly crowd. The food menu was great for a tea room with a full range of meals, from snacks, meals of the day to full on meals. Definitely worth a visit if you need to recuperate after a hard morning's shopping!

The tea is really nice to drink and is fairly priced. I also ordered a full English breakfast which was slightly over priced. It takes over 20 minutes to arrive and the toast comes unbuttered you have to do it yourself and arrived slightly cold, The sausages were undercooked and there where no beans even though ordered. However the bacon, eggs and hash browns where perfect so still enjoyable. Nice setting to relax, room for improvement.

We organised a bottomless brunch for a hen do. There was 35 of us and from initial queries right up until the day all of the communication and service was fantastic!! We had the whole top room to ourselves and the staff allowed us to set up decorations etc before everyone arrived. The bottomless process was explained clearly to everyone at the start and our drinks were never empty!! The food kept coming and was all so delicious and would also like to give special thanks to Anne-Marie who had kept in contact before the day and was absolutely phenomenal on the day, making sure everyone was happy, fed and topped up with drinks for the afternoon!!! I just entered and I'm already greeted with a warm welcome and great prices. £3.95 is a great price for a coffee. The alternative milks were a great start and by the employees's enthusiasm and the atmosphere, I already knew the coffee would be amazing. And I'm right, upon sipping the wonderfully presented coffee with a side of a biscoff, it tasted sweet and bitter in the best of ways. The loyalty card is also the farest I've seen, only requiring 6 coffee orders as opposed to the usual 9 or 10. Therefore, I recommend this place to coffee lovers all over Doncaster if given the chance

Had a work’s ‘do’ here on 21st September. It was at short notice but, they went out of their way to accommodate us. Afternoon tea for 22 of us. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. There was a great selection of food and endless amounts of tea and coffee. It was also very reasonably priced. They really put on a good spread - the service was good too. I’d recommend. So headed in to Doncaster for a Breakfast and was heading for the strawberry however passed the establishment called the Jazz Cafe .I was blown away by the staffs attentiveness and noticed the full Scotish and I wasn't disappointed 5 stars right the way through and the portion size was amazing just to much for me to finish, highly recommend try it

A nice cafe tucked away in Doncaster. I enjoyed my sausage and onion chutney baguette. The sausage was lovely and spicy, full of flavour. The baguette was a little over done but forgivable. The chutney had plenty of flavour. My partner had lasagna which looked delicious. Very quick service. The only downside is that some tables downstairs were a little cramped and claustrophobic for my liking. We could hardly hear ourselves speak as a couple were on the table next to us (it was that close our tables were almost touching!) It felt quite intimidating eating that close to strangers as I have anxiety. The service could have been a little better as the waitress came and dropped my food all over the table and they had to send for another one. But overall very good! Good selection of food and friendly staff. I'll be going back there!

Keeley was an absolute star today! She made sure any questions about the menu were answered around dietary restrictions. She really couldn't have done enough to make sure we were all looked after and that we had what we wanted. Honestly deserves so much recognition, she was an absolute angel. The food was great, for vegan dishes to come out the same size and quality as non-vegan options really makes you feel at home and as though you're not a problem. The waffle portion was huge, the cheese and mushroom toasty full to busting and coffee options were great at well. Thank you so so much for making our first visit amazing!

Excellent cafe! Plenty of seating and easy street parking. I had a really nice ham and cheese toastie + latte. I would definitely go again. The bathroom is not accessible for folks with disabilities. There are 2 single occupant bathrooms. Missed opportunity to make them gender neutral, but otherwise private and clean. Beyond the toilets, the cafe is ground floor and has level access.

Nice place well worth a visit and friendly helpful staff but they don’t do coffee with whole milk which makes the coffee very bitter. Good artisan coffee shops all offer whole milk now. This would be an easy improvement to make to get five stars :)

Shakshuka - yes please!!! 🥨🥪🌯🌮 Lovely visit here on a busy Saturday lunchtime. We managed to get parked 🅿️ up on the street adjacent the cafe. On entering there wasn't a table free, good sign, and as there were four of us we had to wait for approximately 10-15 minutes. When we were taken to our table 🍽️ we were given a few minutes to decide what we wanted to drink ☕🍵🧋🫖, we placed the order and the drinks came promptly. The mango smoothie was very yummy 😋 and my Oat Flat White coffee ☕ was made perfectly 🤩 yum. For lunch we had the following, Shakshuka (two poached eggs) - just the right amount of spicy-ness ♨️😋 for me. The kids had pancakes 🥞 banana 🍌 and Nutella 🍫 - as we left we grabbed a piece of blackcurrant cake 🍰, which we later shared with a cuppa - the cake was yummy and moist 🤩 Dogs 🐕 are welcome also, that was nice to see. Access ♿ isn't to bad, but may be a struggle to get to the toilet. Staff are really friendly though and will certainly attempt to accommodate ❤️ Really friendly staff, and the cafe was clean and tidy. Tables were cleared quickly. Thanks for hosting us ❤️💫👏💪🤩

Breakfast is great here! Went for the first time the other weekend with my fiancé and were not disappointed. The breakfast and maple bacon waffles were amazing. Friendly, helpful staff made the experience even better. If you ever find yourself in Bawtry give them a try however I recommend calling beforehand and booking as sometimes they get very busy due to how popular they are. Overall a nice friendly atmosphere with superb food, what more can you ask for.

Excellent spot for breakfast. A good selection and a few unusual options that sound tasty. The bacon sandwich I got was nice, bacon cooked nicely and chilli jam a good addition. The eggs Benedict were a mixed bag with some perfectly cooked eggs and some a bit under done.

Ordered two salami sandwiches and a super food salad. Salami sandwiches arrived in raw baguettes. When I said I wanted sandwich bread. Tasted dry and disgusting. Super salad arrived with avocado which was covered black so basically off !! Ask for a replacement avocado. Finished my food didn’t arrive. Finally Caught a waitress and asked where my avocado was. She brought some more out and that was black too. Not as bad but still black. Overpriced and not worth the money.

Haven't been since pre lockdown and the layout change. A decent amount of seating although could do with more indoor seating when it's cold. Food was lovely if a little pricey and took rather a long time to arrive. But was very nice when it finally arrived. Suggest allowing free hot drink top ups if food will take half an hour to arrive. Need to go back and try more, the breakfast always used to be amazing.

Nothing special, and definitely overpriced, as expected for a zoo. The menu is lacklustre, luckily the “specials menu” saved it. This place used to do really nice pizza and other meals, but since seems to have new ownership and have scrapped that menu. Preferably bring your own food, otherwise food is edible.

My boss got me a Costa coffee latte (our milk had gone off during the 40c day). The latte was pretty good.

Absolutely shocking experience at this Costa! From the moment I walked in, the staff had the rudest, most disgusting attitude I’ve ever come across. No manners, no professionalism, just pure arrogance as if customers are an inconvenience to them. And then the coffee… I couldn’t believe it. They actually served me a drink made with spoiled, moldy milk. The taste was vile, and it’s downright dangerous to serve something like that to people. Do they not care about customers’ health? It’s disgusting, lazy, and shows they have zero standards. I left feeling sick to my stomach, furious that I even spent money in this dump. This branch is a complete embarrassment to the Costa brand, and honestly, it should be shut down if this is the level of “service” and “quality” they provide. If I could give this place -10 stars, I would. It doesn’t even deserve 1. Save your money, save your time, and go anywhere else but here. This is the worst Costa I’ve ever stepped foot in, and I’ll never be returning.

Very disappointing. The girl in there is so ignorant, rude and tacky. She couldn't understand what I wanted but acted like she would know how to make it. If you want a quick tacky person to make your drink I suggest coming to this Doncaster branch. I told her to make a medium maple hazelnut frappe extras thick with oat milk and vegan cream with a shot of coffee in it. She made my drink and when I checked my drink it was clunky with ice and no seasonal sprinkles on top and it tasted powerdery , so I went back and asked them to blend it because it's not smooth so the other blonde lady took it off me, dashed it in the blender, whilst the whole time the girl with box dyed black hair was staring at me giving me evils. I got my drink back just blender more with a bit of cream on top no sprinkles. The lady with blonde hair wasn't too bad but the girl with box dyed black hair young women was very rude, giving me evils and staring at me because she can't understand. This isn't the first time this has happened. I wouldnt recommend wasting any money in this PLACE as they employ tacky Donny girls to service the public in the town centre. Very disappointing as people come here to see this town and get treated like this. I will come in a speak with the manager as this is my local Costa.

The staff are friendly and there's an outside area to sit and watch the world go by. Sadly the coffee isn't always great but you expect that these days from costa - the attention to detail has gone since the purchase by coke. Sometimes the staff are too busy and talking too much between each other.

How Ridiculous this place is Its a big joke how you pay soo much for a mix grill meal and get a child's portion its horrible and them staffing forgetting to add my egg on the mix grill made me wait for over 10mins just to fry a simple egg as my food were getting cold. How on earth would sauce be taken back to kitchen when served? Its absolutely horrendous. If I could give a zero star but there is no option for that. I won't advise anyone having a meal there

Shocking 20 quid for 2 breakfasts without a drink then have the cheek to charge 10p for a sauce. It was scruffy inside pota left on tables breakfast came greasy cold fowl. Overpriced and understaffed it's shocking how this place has become so bad. Why can't the management look at the 1.8 star rating and sort it out ffs

Filthy tables loaded with used pots. No cups for the drinks, they're on the dirty tables. That should have put me off but it didn't, so I waited 40 minutes for a jacket spud, that never came, I swapped that for a dry sandwich. Never will I come back here again.

Its the only cafe i know that runs out of milk and sugar when its in a supermarket. We usually just have a drink last time we went they didn't have any chocolate so we didn't stop as thats all i drink . This time they didn't have any tea spoons. The place itself seemed clean but there were a few tables that hadn't been cleared. I wouldn't have anything to eat not after we waited 30mins for 2 slices of toast one time which were stone cold . I suspect they had been done but not brought out. Its ok for a drink when they have itl Returned the other day no hot chocolate, no cappuccino and no fish. I rest my case🙄

Very disappointed, went with my wife, daughter and very young granddaughter. Loads of empty table but all had dirty plates still on them. We had to clear and clean our own table. There was no cutlery, we it came it was dirty. The highchair was disgusting we cleaned it and then laid a blanket in the bottom. Food was okay and drinks but it's not clean and I'm no snob, needs more staff. Come on Morrisons get ya finger out.

Staff told me they were really busy the day before so didn’t have time to wash the cups properly. Absolutely disgusting that they would put customers health at risk. We were due to get a bite to eat but can only imagine what the kitchen is like!! Manager needs firing if this is the standard. Environmental health needs to shut them down.

There were not many recent reviews, so I thought to myself, "It can't be that bad". Walked in on Tuesday morning in February- it did not look busy but could be behind the scenes. We decided to have breakfast before shopping as we were pretty early and I was hungry. Ordered fish and chips as well as a chicken burger with sweet potato fries meals and waited. After half h, lady comes and says they are out of sweet potato fries -that's fine, normal can do. Then, after another 15 minutes they say that they cannot do them as their fryer is out. Asks if it's okay if battered fish can be steamed/boiled due to that. We decide to change both meals to chicken burgers with normal fries. Sorry cant do as the are out of chicken burgers- but that was not told it 15 minutes earlier even when one meals was with chicken burger. At this moment, we were there for over 40 minutes just hearing how stuff was out and just decided to cancel it all and buy a meal deal, as who knows what they had and how long it would take to cook it all. And fryer started working while we were cancelling order,they could do battered fish now but itll take some time to heat it up. Still no burger for me. It would be great if there was notice what they are out for the day either at counter/ordering screens as it would save us time.

Absolute gem of a place. Clean but not clinical looking - cosy and welcoming. My 4yo son said 'these are the best teacakes I've ever had'. We were meant to share ....we ended up ordering 2 portions.....he ate most of that one too! Lovely staff, very friendly. I'll be coming back for the amazing cakes. (Take cash!)

2 of us had home cooked quiche Lorraine, half a jacket potato & salad & it was absolutely delicious, as usual. The raspberry roulade & toffee crunch pie were to die for. Gorgeous little place with the friendliest owners & staff, we're so lucky to have it on our doorstep.

Brix is a stylish, modern spot with a welcoming vibe. The coffee is excellent – our cappuccino and latte were perfectly frothy, with decaf options available. The menu offers a great range of breakfast and brunch choices, plus an evening menu for special events. The pancakes – both Biscoff and maple & bacon – were incredible. Reasonably priced with outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!

First time visiting BRIX and it didn’t disappoint. Food was delicious, I had the eggs bene with smoked salmon on sour dough and it was delicious. Only criticism would be the sourdough was a bit difficult to cut but delicious non the less. Other family members had the baby BRIX breakfast which looked so good. Again only slight issue was the bacon was very well cooked so they were unable to cut through it. Couldn’t fault the atmosphere or staff as the service was amazing. It was very busy so obviously very popular. I will definitely go again :)

Popped in for my birthday breakfast. The staff gave us a warm welcome and took our drinks order one by one as soon as the guests had arrived and settled. I opted for an oak milk vanilla latte, it was divine. The atmosphere and aesthetics of the venue are very pleasing. As it was my birthday, I went all out and ordered the big breakfast, you can tell just by looking at the food that the products are of high-quality, and then there’s the taste. Simply stunning! It was the first time I had visited as I didn’t realise it existed and I can assure you it will not be the last.

Food was good but waited 45 to 50 minutes for our food to come out. Didn’t get any cutlery after waiting that long, while also sitting next to dog in the seat next to us. If we was warned about the wait time it would have been okay but I think that’s too long to wait for a normal breakfast.

First time visiting BRIX since under new management. Walked in staff didn't really acknowledge us for 5-10 mins until we asked where to sit. Sat us down on a table and we waited 15 minutes for menu’s. When menu’s was brought to use there was only 4 items available to order. Waited 1 hour 5 minutes for our food to arrive. When it arrived all 2 meals were missing items off the plate and one meal was incorrect (although the waiter checked our order twice when taking it). Took the meals back to correct some items, but food was stone cold when brought back and the meal which was incorrect wasn't amendable, a new one was offered, but already waited over an hour for the first one. Cold drinks were warm. Overall not had a bad experience in a cafe/restaurant in a long time. Thought it was worth leaving a review. They did give us 10% off our next bill, but wont be returning and don't feel like 10% justifies the cold and incorrect meals received. Walked out hungry and unsatisfied.

My first visit to Brix. We were greeting straight away and asked if we were sitting in. We sat down and was presented with the menu, the waiter told us which items were no longer available. We ordered coffee’s. These came within 5 minutes, we then ordered food. Which served within 15 minutes, it was fresh, hot and tasty. We had an around lovely experience. I would definitely use again.

The food is first class made by a real accomplished chef Mark Antony Gravel. best crispy belly pork lunch with extremely yummy thick cooked chips served with gravy stuffing & apple sauce. The pork was very tender & not fatty. Superb menus lunch & breakfast a must try for foodies

On a very rainy English day just before Halloween my family and I went out to have lunch here. Fortunately we got there just before the kitchen was closing for the day, but that didn't stop them from providing a brilliant service, fantastic food and a memorable visit to the village of Thorne. The roast pork sandwich was to die for, and my father had the steak. They do a breakfast menu 8:30-11:30 and serve lunch until 2pm. During some seasons they'll serve afternoon tea, and will also hold themed cuisine nights. I highly recommend.

We visited Sunday morning and it was very busy. Lot of bicycle visitors stopped for a brunch. Breakfast was really delicious, staff very welcome and nice and cosy environment.

Honestly this is by far my favourite coffee shop in Doncaster. I used to be a Starbucks girl, but the coffee here is so much better, plus the staff are so lovely, especially the morning team. Everytime I come in they’re always so friendly and helpful, honestly it really makes your morning. One of the staff who works there has even brought my order out to my car for me a few times because they saw I had young kids in the car 🩷🩷

Have been going quite often and casually visiting here for years and find it a nice place to relax and enjoy a nice drink and a donut. Atmosphere is nice, staff are kind, accommodating and great to talk to even when it can get a bit busier. Overall it's a great place.

My husband goes every morning to get our morning coffee. Always great service from all the staff especially Dom who always greats us with a friendly smile. when we are away and have to have coffee from other places it is never as good as dunkin. Came in to get donuts a bit ago and happen to have been 12 for 12 so instead if getting 2 like planned mel and elise had convinced me to get 13 as it was better in value and they had a lot of choice and quite a few vegan friendly donut. U was served so fast and they were so polite

Booked here for my baby shower. The cafe is cute and cosy and the food was delicious. Everything is homemade. I literally haven’t stopped thinking about the sausage rolls and quiche! Loose leaf tea 🫖 and any of the drinks on the menu included in afternoon tea. At £19.95pp for afternoon tea I think it’s amazing value and perfect for a party or just a little treat. I know most of the people at the party are keen to return! I will definitely be back. Thank you 🥰❤️

Me and the wife just called in, I had a bacon and tom sandwich with an Americano coffee and the wife had a sausage and tom sandwich with a decafe Cappuccino. Both coffees were delicious and the sandwichs were excellent. They had an excellent range of cakes. Would recommend this little coffee shop and we will be returning 👍❤️

We came for lunch on the recommendation of friends and it did not disappoint! It was a busy lunch service and we managed to get a table without booking. It has a lovely atmosphere and loved the decor. We made our choices and the teas/coffees came quickly. The teas were served in china cups! The food was delicious and fresh. We also had room for cakes/tarts!! Will definitely return for afternoon tea in the future!!

Tipsy Tea Rooms just opened recently .Great little place to enjoy a coffee, breakfast, pint ,bottle of wine or fabulous evening Meal or Sunday lunch. Staff are friendly and welcoming great atmosphere . Always got events on weekly.

Visited this place a few years back and was lovely. New owners ,just recently reopened so we gave it a go.Realitivley quite period only a few tables occupied . Ordered hot roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. The beef was like old boots !! Chewed and chewed, I told reception the meat was hard and tough and wasn't prepared to pay the full amount. To my surprise I was told ' well ive asked the other customers and they were happy !! So no sorry not obliged to do anything haha . Customer service is a joke never have i been anywhere and had a reply like this. Not a patch on the old cafe !

Lovely peaceful lunch, sat outside in the sunshine, felt like we were on holiday. The 3 cheese, broccoli and bacon soup was delicious as was the rainbow cake, all washed down with a lovely pot of Yorkshire tea. The staff are wonderful, they must walk miles serving everyone on a sunny day. Will definitely be visiting again - soon!

We had the most wonderful Mother’s Day experience at Tipsy Tea Rooms, and Amanda made it absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, she was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right. The tea selection was fantastic, the food was beautifully presented and delicious, and the atmosphere was so charming. Amanda’s friendly service and attention to detail truly made our celebration extra special. Thank you for such a memorable day—we will definitely be back!

When i first passed by this cafe I, wasn't sure about it. It took me a year to get around to trying it. I am so glad I did! For me it ticks all the boxes: A large English menu Good portions Hot Quick service Reasonable prices It's not the fanciest place but I can deal with that Lovely staff that work really hard. I have now been 3 times - I am working my way through the menu 🤣

August 2020 Covid review There's hand sanitiser on the way in but that was about it, not much in the way of social distancing measures. Service was friendly and the brunch breakfast was decent. No WiFi. I'd give this a 3.5 stars if I could. Nice big popular place. Lots of room inside and 6 tables out front. Loads of choice. I went for eggs bacon and sausage for 3.50. it was a bit greasy though. No WiFi. I'd give this a 3.5 stars if I could.

I went shoppin on tye complex . Looked online it said the place closed at 330pm .. it was 220pm-ish ..I walked in .. looked at the menu board , tried to order food .. the lady said we close in 15 mins so i couldnt order from the broad .. so i got a drink and a sandwich . Which wernt great .. sat down and stayed there for hlf hour .. think she was on a promise or sumat .. first impression was not great .. wouldnt advise to go .. it maybe its not alway like this .. dunno ... . But greggs next is way better valve for money

Delightful, rich and aroma filled coffee slightly let down by a tasty but a touch dry on the edge carrot cake. Definitely one of the better places to experience good coffee, albeit at smaller volumes and higher prices than the chains. However this is a case of you get what you pay for and its worth the premium. Tidy, stylish and quiet lunch time ambience adds to a lovely experience.

This place is clearly run with passion and it shows through the quality of the food and coffee on offer! Great, inclusive menu for those with special dietary requirements but plenty of local meat and cheese to go for too. I will be back soon!

Sandwiches were absolutely delicious, Welsh rarebit was very tasty and the sausage roll was simply scrumptious. The home made scones were delightful accompanied with some lovely strawberry jam and clotted cream. The brownie melted in the mouth and the apple crumble tasted divine. Most important, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The dining area was congenial to the excellent food offered. Definitely a lovely place to visit for an afternoon tea served by a team of happy, pleasant and helpful staff.

I would recommend Dreambakes to anybody if you’re from or visiting Doncaster. I am a part of The Growth House theatre company, and whenever we are in Doncaster, we start everyday at Dreambakes. The staff are kind, chatty and very professional. The food is gorgeous and the kitchen are so accommodating for all of our dietary requirement. Great for vegetarians as well as sweet treats. The prices are really competitive and the cafe is colourful, modern and spotless. Thankyou Dreambakes for being such a friendly and beautiful place for us to meet each morning and fuel up before a long day of rehearsals.

Recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. Good food, coffee and service. I had the breakfast hash with chorizo and my wife had the cloud eggs; both were excellent and the marmalade flapjack was amazing! This will definitely be our go to coffee shop in Doncaster from now on.

We had our sons first birthday/christening celebration at Beanscene over the weekend and it was a thoroughly enjoyable day thanks to Nicky and Gray who couldn't do enough for us. The food was great, the service was great and the setting perfect. All our guests commented and continue to do so on how nice the day was and how perfect the venue was. A lovely find, Bean Scene is a charming tea room, serving a daytime menu. Perfect for an after walk get together and lunch. The staff are very friendly and pleasant.

I cycled to Bean Scene from Mansfield, this morning, with friends. A very warm welcome from the owners and great value on a deal for breakfast butty, pot of tea and a slice of cake. All delicious! Very cycling friendly - lots of bike racks in an enclosed seating area outside which felt very safe for bikes while we were inside. The owners have keen cyclists in the family too, so we chatted about that with them too. Recommended!

Called in without booking and managed to get a table fortunately. Very small inside and had the weather been nicer we would definitely sat outside on the patio area. The food was lovely.

Wow..what an absolute gem of a place.Lovely couple,cakes were amazing and even got some homemade quiche to take home which I'm sure will be amazing.Played a game of crazy golf which was fun and not as easy as it looks.Great place to spend an afternoon in the sun.Would definitely go again and recommend anyone to give it a whirl 😊x

Great little farm shop. We come every week to buy our food. The potatoes are amazing for everything. Makes lovely, thick, creamy mash and amazing chips. The game burgers are great for the price of them. They come large and thick and come out of the air fryer the same size! The steak i got the other day... omg 🤤 best steak I've had! I can't eat them anymore but my family love the pies and sausage rolls and you even get a free small tub of gravy with each pie. Lovely, tasty gravy! And the cafe! £9.50 for a large breakfast and it is definitely large! Hubby can never finish it. I get 2 poached egg and tomatoes and the eggs are lovely and creamy Sorry this is a long review but we haven't had anything from here that isn't nice. Oh, the pheasant breast makes a beautiful stir-fry and is super fresh! Anyway, we will see you this Sunday as we are busy again on Monday 😂

Called in today before a days fishing. Really good farm shop, good selection of fresh goods, friendly staff. Decent cafe bacon sandwich and coffee on arrival. Good menu good prices.

We’ve been to McCallum’s Bank End Farm shop and Cafe for lunch. The farm shop is excellent, with a great choice of fresh produce so we stocked up on a few essentials like pork pie, cake and salad! We had lunch in the cafe, the guys had steak pie, chips and peas but I forgot to take a photo until they had almost finished eating 😞. The girls had home made lasagna, and quiche with salad. Everything was tasty and great value!

My husband and I walked yesterday and witnessed a young girl alittle rude whom was serving. She was short and a miserable face which didn’t make you feel like asking her for food and drinks. Not sure what’s happened but I’ve just finished my honeymoon and thought breakfast out would be nice but not sure why Mccallums service has deteriorated so badly now

Had a very nice full English breakfast in the cafe. Farm shop has a good range of veg and the butchers is very good.

Fantastic place for dog walkers and less able to walk as well, with the tractor team running every 30 mins. It was really busy so had to queue up for a while but guess it's down to business. Service was otherwise impeccable I would really like vegetarian and vegan options of food that is not prepared on same grill etc as meat stuff.. most vegans or Vegetarian would not eat it, which lead to disappointment.. but I can understand options are limited in small kitchen.. we loved the marshmallow on fire, but on nippy day would welcome option of more heating available.

A cute little spot to enjoy some food & drink during a nice walk. First off it was a bit confusing having to park so far away. I was following Google Maps which was trying to direct me to Annabel’s but then signage was contradicting that. You have to park at that barn and then walk. Again Google Maps was giving me several walking routes, none of which were the actual route and some were through private property. There was a sign next to the barn but no further signs after that until you were almost there. This could do with being made clearer as most people use their phone for navigation these days when unfamiliar with where to go. The walk was quite pleasant although terrain was a bit bumpy so not ideal for people with prams or wheelchairs. It took about 20 minutes. It’s a really nice and inviting place. Plenty of seating and a cosy atmosphere. Service was quick and efficient. There’s plenty to choose from on the menu for both food and drink and the place is very dog friendly with a few treats you can buy for them. There is both inside and outside seating although not a huge amount outside. The food was good but not amazing. It is more like burger van style rather than gourmet street food but I think the price is about right. It’s not somewhere I’d go especially for a really nice breakfast or lunch, instead I might just get a bite if I’m hungry. The kids enjoyed toasting marshmallows on the fire. There isn’t a huge amount to do there for older kids (7+). There’s some toy cars and that’s about it so they may get bored quickly. Facilities are good and clean. I’d come back but to be honest there’s not a lot to do there. If it was a really nice round walk then I’d definitely go more often. Instead the path has been fenced off which goes round the lake for some reason so for me it’s more a case of walking there and walking back.

Nice break on a mini family walk. It could be a belting hotspot but a few bits let it down for it to be a must visit. That being said, it is what it is, it’s coffee on a mini walk. The coffee wasn’t the best especially for the price. Open fire pit for melted marshmallows so the kids love that bit

Really nice place to visit. Approximately 30 minute walk each way from Loversall car park. The staff were really friendly and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back again.

Finally got around to visiting this lovely place. Enjoyed a very blustery walk, out by the lakes, and 'voila' there was Annabel's with a great welcome , hot drinks and a tasty full English served to us promptly. This place can be approached from various routes, so I would suggest looking them up on social media and choosing a route that best suits you. All in all it's definitely a place we will visit more often now that we've finally located it, (we're not the best at map reading). Only one small criticism for this eatery is it would be appreciated if the eating tables were given a wipe between customers. It's something that can be overlooked, especially when customers return their own plates after eating. Other than that I would Highly recommend Annabel's to all.

Lovely Cafe overlooking one of the Amazon Lakes, Grandkids love being taken here in the autumn and winter as they have an open fire table to roast marshmallows on. Definitely recommend and very popular, especially at the weekend

Me and my girlfriend have visited a couple of times now and we've really enjoyed each time we've been. The food is absolutely amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. It's always a treat to see Bella the dog!

Today we went for Afternoon Tea, first time we had visited and book it off a review that said the food was lovely. Well it was lovely you get your own stand with an assortment of sandwiches and sweets on it. We had to bring some of the sweets home with us as was so full. Staff and service lovely to. We stayed over 2 hours just chatting didn't realise the time the atmosphere is so nice. Beautiful little tearoom will definitely be visiting again.

Fantastic afternoon tea for five of us to celebrate a family birthday. The food was delicious and plentiful. All the staff were friendly and went that extra step, we will definitely be going back again

This is the best place to get Afternoon Tea in Doncaster! All cakes are baked on site. They even cater for Gluten Free diets. This is the freshest gluten free afternoon tea ive eaten with the most choice too. The Afternoon Teas even come with a prawn cocktail starter and a trifle! Absolutely fantastic!! The customer service is brilliant and the value for money is fantastic! Cannot recommend this place enough!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I had a terrible experience at Asda today. None of the tills were open, forcing everyone to use the self-checkouts, which are notoriously unreliable and frustrating to use. There was no staff presence near the tills to assist customers, and the one staff member at the self-checkouts had a rude and unhelpful attitude. The self-checkouts themselves were a nightmare, as usual. They frequently malfunctioned, creating unnecessary delays for everyone. Many of them didn’t accept cash, which is ridiculous. Cash is legal tender, and not being able to use it is unacceptable. The added surveillance cameras and mirrors at the self-checkouts are invasive and make customers feel uncomfortable and treated like criminals. After encountering issues with the machine only a few items into scanning, I tried to find someone to open a till, but I was told there was no one available. Even when I asked politely, I was met with blunt and unhelpful responses. I ended up leaving my basket behind and walking out empty-handed because it simply wasn’t worth the hassle. Asda’s reliance on self-checkouts with no backup tills or adequate staff is unacceptable and drives customers away. This experience has completely put me off shopping here again.

Struggle to buy products i like to buy such as free range chicken. It's important to promote the consideration of welfare for meat products we buy and in doing so may increase the volume of such products bought that could overtime have a positive impact on the price that could lead to more people being able to access better quality products. Also find the rewards appear to be not as rewarding as other supermarket schemes.

Good variety in a large store, everything you need, food toys clothes. There is a cafe as well. Different ways to shop self check out, scan and go or use a till. Be carefully of managers always stood around talking and blocking ailes.

I had a frustrating experience at the self-scan area at ASDA due to the unhelpful attitude of a staff member named Julia. I had purchased an 8-pack of Evian water and asked Julia if she could scan them for me, as I didn’t want to lift them out of the trolley due to the weight. She refused without offering any alternative or assistance, so I had to pull them out myself. After scanning, the self-checkout scale malfunctioned because the weight of the water was too much, and instead of helping resolve the issue, Julia came over and told me to remove them from the scale in a rude and dismissive manner. Her tone and lack of support made the situation worse. It’s disappointing to receive such poor customer service. A little understanding and help go a long way, especially when dealing with heavy items.

We like big Asda always a decent selection of products. George clothing is good value and looks nice in my opinion. Always plenty of parking. Staff are friendly and pleasant Cafe had a children eat for a pound when we popped in. Food was nice. Really well priced.

Just purchased couple off waters and requested multiple quantity to be entered as I didn't see the point off unloading all off the waters. This was something asda staff would allow but suddenly is no longer an option. Its such a shame when trying to get help, the staff would not listen and try to understand.

I shop at this asda because it's local to me, but I'm now going to shop elsewhere as the prices are getting ridiculous, I bought a pkt of asda own brand biscuits on Sunday for 77p on Monday they'd gone up to £1.26, so not just a few pence they're adding on to their products.

Great products. I have visited this cafe many times and every time has been a great visit. The atmosphere is lovely, staff are very friendly and are very supportive space for customers with disabilities. Both savoury and sweet food are brilliant. The choir hun was lotus biscoff and I highly recommend! If your in the area I would visit this hidden gem

Really cool little cafe with great sandwiches. The decor is awesome, the staff are great and the food is fantastic. Can't wait to come back and try some other things from the menu, the pies especially look incredible. We are local so we'll definitely be back!

What a hidden gem, found this place on google last night as needed a 915 start and usual venue opens later. Coffee was really really good and the couple? Running it were so friendly, like we’d known them years Between us we left with an array of sausage rolls, pork pie and 4 cakes Very interesting decor too. Highly recommended 👍👍

I'd love to share a photo of the breakfast I have nearly every Saturday but, unfortunately, I scoff it immediately every time. The food here is consistently an impressive 5 stars. The staff are beyond friendly, you're always welcomed with a warm smile and after only the second visit you feel like you're their star diner. The cafe is always busy but that doesn't delay your food by much, the team here are a well oiled machine!
