Dunes Village Resort is a top-rated oceanfront luxury hotel located on the quieter north end of Myrtle Beach. It offers various accommodation options, including condos with ocean-view balconies. The resort features a large indoor and outdoor waterpark, on-site dining, a fitness center, poolside cabanas, and a spa offering massage options.
I was pleasantly surprised. We booked this place on a whim. Nice hotel room. Spacious. Great beach access. All the pools, hot tubs, and watersides were clean and well taken care of. I was honestly shocked how clean and not chaotic everything was given that there aren't really life guards or anyone truly monitoring the water areas. I would definitely visit again.
Lauren A — Google review
The water park is great! The rooms aren't perfectly clean but they have a washer dryer so that is great. The beach access is kind of convoluted, you can't go out back from the lobby so that is also a little weird. The elevators and access are all outside ...so if this weren't a safe area it would be a concern since anybody can go right up without much notice. I wish this place had more choices for food and drinks; cant really get anything on-site past 10pm. We did have fun and we did get a good deal, but not really worth the full price.

We had a great stay very family friendly! There were many pools and easy access to the beach which is great for families! It is a beach front hotel that you can tell has been here for sometime. My 9 year old cried when we got here so happy and said the room was beautiful! We had a beach view and it was great hang out on the balcony and watch the sunrise and sunset There is not any food options within walking distance so you’ll have to drive but it’s nice getting out.
Jasmine R — Google review
Everything was great... they were in the middle of a remodel, otherwise I'm hoping the rooms are better next time, too. It was a large family trip so miltiple rooms to celebrate, and some rooms were old and rickety, each had quirks... lol Outside of that, we have been going there over 15 years+ and love it. The breakfast buffet was a little bogus in pricing, nice folks, but lacked a lot for 2 adults and a child it was over 60 with tip... insane! Had I known that we definitely would not have went there, I just couldn't have imagined!

We wrapped up our summer with a mini vacation at Dunes Village in Myrtle Beach. It was a fun family getaway, and the kids especially loved the indoor water park — they could’ve spent all day on the slides and lazy river! Having so many activities right on site made it easy to keep everyone entertained. The rooms were comfortable, though a little worn and could use some updating. Still, we had everything we needed and enjoyed the ocean view. Overall, it was a nice way to end the summer — plenty of fun for the kids, easy beach access, and a laid-back atmosphere. We’d consider coming back again.

We went for our honeymoon and had a great time. If you're really picky, yes the place has small flaws such as paint spots, I saw another review complain about peeling carpet on the balcony. We didn't even pay attention to any of that. Our room was clean and, the view was amazing and it had everything we needed. The staff was friendly. My only complaints were the beds and pillows were a bit uncomfortable, and the TV in the bedroom wasn't connected to wifi like the living room TV and the bedroom TV froze on me once. It's a good location not far from the boardwalk (not walking distance but a very quick drive). Aside from the few flaws, they have a lot of amenities, and are very family friendly. We definitely plan on returning.

I will start by saying the staff here are amazing. However, this place has really gone down hill. We have been going here a few years now but honestly do not plan to return. The rooms are subpar and not cleaned like they use to be. They had roaches and were fumigating in rooms with people staying in them. The only notice about the fumigation was a posted paper in the elevator. They put us in a room where their paint crew was working every morning at 7:30am. My family was woken every morning as soon as the loud machines start for the paint crew. We informed the front desk but they just told us the painting should not start until 9am. We informed them this was not the case and nothing was done. We were woken one morning a little after 3am to a fire alarm and had to evacuate the building for about an hour. Even after being cleared to reenter the alarm continue to go on and off several times. We were later unformed this was due to their sprinkler system. Nothing was done to compensate the guest. There are plenty of ocean front hotels with waterslides.

Right on the beach! Our room was basically a small apartment! It has a kitchen, washer and dryer. Two bedrooms with two full size beds. I believe the couch pulls out also. Didn't really interact with the staff much, my family took care of all of that. I am ready to go back!!!!

The Ocean Reef Resort is a beachfront gem located on the quieter northern end of Myrtle Beach. The resort offers a range of accommodation options, from relaxed rooms to condo units with one to four bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a variety of amenities including two pools, a water park with pirate-themed features, indoor and outdoor pools, a lazy river, and an on-site fitness center. The Shipwreck Water Park is a highlight for families with its water slides and tropical atmosphere.
We have been coming to Myrtle Beach every year for decades and this is by far the BEST accommodations we have ever had! The staff makes you feel at home but pampered. The rooms are modern and immaculately clean. The resort is filled with all the amenities you could ask for. Finally the location is PERFECT, close enough to reach everything without being in crowds. CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR'S STAY!

I stayed in an oceanfront efficiency. It was very clean & the beds were comfortable. The service staff was very pleasant. The pools were fantastic!!!! Access to the pools & ocean was easy and inviting. I liked the laminated wood floors throughout the unit. The kitchen sink was so small that a small sauce pan couldn't fit in it and there wasn't a dishwasher in the unit either. Cleaning the kitchenette with such a tiny sink & no dishwasher was a bit challenging, but we managed. If it was for the small sink & no dishwasher, I would have given it a 5 star rating all across the spectrum!

My wife and I stayed from Sept 20 thru the 25th. We had a most pleasant stay at the Ocean Reef Resort. We both had to get acquainted with just one bathroom but we managed. The ocean view was spectacular. The individuals working there were hospitable, kind and helpful in many ways. Our room was fully sufficient for us. I must say though that you must bring your own hand soap, paper towels, better toilet paper and some untensils for eating your leftovers. We enjoyed the beach and the adult pool. It wasnt overcrowded and the crowds were even lighter during the weekdays. The resort was in an ideal location for travel whether its a restaurant, gas station, grocery store, malls or all the fun places we visited. We enjoyed the nights, it was quiet on our floor and the the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great every day and there were so many options to have a different breakfast every day. The resort has been fully remodeled so there was no construction taking place. We did have to park our car in the garage across the street but that didnt bother us at all. We saved a little bit of money with the brittain rewards when we scanned the codes with our phone and received buy one get one free tickets to events. Overall it was a real peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable stay and I definitely would return.

We stayed in a renovated junior suite (1610) and it was the nicest one we have stayed in, a vast improvement over our previous units. This was our third stay at Ocean Reef. Main negative point: The first day we got there I noticed the bedroom bath vanity had the stopper closed. So opened it and started using it. It started holding water but would drain by end of day. The second bathroom off the kitchen had the bathtub also holding water. I called desk to have someone fix it. We waited but no one showed up. I called again Thursday and the girl said I will call you right back, Never heard anything from her. .When we left Saturday neither were fixed. I'm giving a zero for customer service at this place. Other notes: This facility has had a lot of upgrades and is very nice for its age. Our unit had large screen TVs in living and bed room, basic cable, no smart functions or ext. inputs. Several elevators, fast and usually no waiting. Great fitness room and game room with lots of equipment in both. Pool and water park areas are very nice. Breakfast buffet is great with very good service.

Enjoyed our stay although it started out a little rocky. Check-In was supposed to be 4pm but we had to wait until 5 30 p. Staff working desk was not very nice at first. Then Sabrina started taking care of us and , was wonderful. Her smile and effort made all the difference. The room was great, Ocean King Suite room 415. One long balcony with 2 separate door off livingroom and bedroom. Corner unit so another side balcony off bedroom overlooking pool and down beach. Breakfast was great, omelets to order, variety, and Miss Maggie made our day. Parking limited at times , but we usually went out early so helped in finding a spot. Will go back, it was a great one. We didn't realize River City Cafe was so close until our last day. Great place to eat, about 5 min walk.
Janice M — Google review
Very enjoyable. Our room was nice and suited our needs quite well. Parking is abundant. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was an efficiency and had what one would need to prepare meals although the lack of a dishwasher would be an issue if one planned on actually cooking much. Elevators were fast. The lack of a restaurant other than the bar at night is a drawback in my opinion, but there are restaurants nearby. The television which we didn't really watch too much was way undersized for the room. Sounds like were disappointed with our stay. Far from it, just mentioning some thing that others might want to know. We are likely to return next year.

Been coming to Ocean Reef for years. This was 1st time Ive ever had discrepancies. Sliding doors seperating rooms had a broken track, keeping them from moving. Was offered change if room ir discount. Was only there a weekend and discount for broken doors was $25 a night. Rooms were 260 a night. Felt like $50 a night would be better but had i stayed longer than 2 days I would've pushed harder. Found a pair of panties upon arrival in the room. Ice maker on 17th floor had pink mold, told maintenance and front desk nothing happened. Aside from that I love Ocean Reef. Great views, spacious rooms, usually very clean, and the water park is nice. Had a jacuzzi in my room I enjoyed that a lot. Good location and i pay for parking which is only $15 a day. Aside from those issues I had a pretty good time as usual. CLEAN THE ICE MACHINE THOUGH. Had a whole iceless weekend.

We have been to ocean reef for over 10 years with another couple staying over 20 years. This place has gone down hill. It started with the front desk when we went to check in telling us we owed $300 dollars when we paid upfront all expenses. The clerk could not tell us what the $300 was and said she was going to have to get the managers approval before waiving the $300. She did let us check in. The next morning we went back down to the front desk and the person did not understand while she was stating we owed $300. We also requested a newly renovated room which we were not given.. after that incident we were in our room and all of a sudden someone tried opening the door. Once we opened the door apparently the same clerk give another couple a key to our room saying it was unoccupied and they could check it out. If we hadn’t been in our room then they could have easily helped their self to any of our stuff. Or who is to say they could let have tried something else. When we confronted the clerk about this incident she said oops sorry. WTH! The same clerk told us she was the manager when we asked to speak to one, only to find out the next day she wasn’t the manager. We spoke with the manager but needless to say not much was done so Ocean Reef had lost long time customers. I will say, the staff at the breakfast buffet is great.

Compass Cove Myrtle Beach Resort offers a range of beachy accommodations including rooms, suites, and condos with private balconies. The resort boasts 22 pool features, dining options, and a gym. Conveniently located just five minutes from Myrtle Beach International Airport and the Whispering Pines golf course, it is an ideal venue for business conferences and team building seminars.
Experience at the place was great, staff was very nice. There was a happy, energetic feel to the place and everyone--staff and guests--were cheerful and polite and just having fun and being friendly with each other. Very special kind of vibe at this place. Room was newly renovated, modern and totally clean. The air conditioner drained from a short hose onto the outdoor carpet on our balcony, which seemed a strange decision on the hotel's part, and it discouraged us from using the balcony. I guess they haven't figured out a better solution yet. But overall they get much goodwill and benefit of the doubt from us. We had a lovely time. Thanks CC!

I've been coming here with my family for over 18 years, and this was my first year staying in my own room. I have to say, the recent renovations have really improved the look and feel of the rooms—they’re much nicer now. That said, I do wish room service was a bit more responsive. For example, our toilet paper holder broke and it took two days to get it fixed. We always stay in the Schooner building—definitely the best one, right next to the pool. I absolutely love it here. Over the years, we’ve met so many wonderful families, and it's amazing to see the same people return year after year. It's a truly special experience shared with friends and family, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I arranged this trip for our family to share some time in MB with my 90 yr old dad. It was a nightmare checking in. We stood in line for over 1.5 hours!! The room was still not ready for us to get into another 30 minutes. I was 64 (at the time) a post-menopausal woman & a USAF veteran with 80% disability due to foot/knee/hip/back pain+. I had my dad who was 90 & it was too hot & too much standing for him, & one of our sons was having physical issues with difficulty walking/standing! The wait was ridiculous & I did notice that none of the surrounding hotels seemed to have ridiculous long lines of people waiting to check in. The room was adequate & pleasantly cool. We had to take 2 keys back down to get re-keyed. The next morning I had planned to make us breakfast but there was no frying pan. I asked for one & they said they'd send, but never did. They ended up charging me a lot more than they originally quoted & wanted a partial refund or at the very least a comped weekend for a future stay. I was told we could talk to the manager named Benjamin, but he was not available. I did try to call him when we got home, but was never able to speak to him. There were a lot of other people who were very dissatisfied with the customer service on this particular weekend.

Compass Cove is an uncut gem. For the price it is amazing (we stayed in a 3 bedroom penthouse in October for 10 days and it was around $2k with free breakfast buffet). We’ve been coming for 15+ years now and I still look forward to it every year. However, the rooms are a bit dated and rough. It seems like ours sustained some damage from spring breakers punching the walls, stomping on the floorboards, and hanging off the doors that never got addressed. Some rooms are fantastic and modernized and some are yet to be, it seems like luck of the draw. Ultimately, fantastic for the price! The location is decent but not as nice as north Myrtle. The service is always great with a genuinely good breakfast buffet. Amenities are solid. And you just can’t beat the pools, hot tubs, and lazy rivers offered. Great place for families and snow birds!
Colin E — Google review
Check in is at 4, so we were there at 4. They stated that they were cleaning the room still and would call shortly when it was ready. It took an hour for the room to be ready. Get to the room, spent 30 minutes trying to get in and maintenance never showed. It was a literal fight to get in the door every single time we would come back. There were exposed live wires in the room, one of the tvs half worked, and we lost a lot of daylight before we could do anything. This was for our oldest daughter's birthday and she missed out on stuff because there was not a lot of time. Check out is at 11, and the pools don't open until 9, so she couldn't do much at all. The people were friendly, but we feel like we wasted money because we couldn't make the most of our trip. Our special needs daughter was with us and needed to be changed, but the only place this was possible was in the room, so she was soaked before we could get in. It felt like there was no urgency whatsoever to help us, to get the room to us that we paid for(and it wasn't cheap), and we are super disappointed. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, but the star of the show the stay was the girl at the Compass Joe. Her customer service was top notch and she wrote on the container to my daughter's cinnamon bun to wish her a happy birthday. It was such a sweet gesture and her drink making skills are wonderful! The hotel itself is not bad, but it was just the lack of urgency to have the room ready for the customer, no one showing to help us get in, that just made us feel like they didn't care about our stay, just about getting the money for the stay. It wasn't cheap, and we are not independently wealthy. This was something we had to plan for in advance and are so disappointed.

The resort started that it had been renovated, but my room was just painted over and made 'good enough' I got a ocean front king efficiency room. The bed was good, furnishings looked like the came from a thrift store and the kitchen was meh (broken nobs) The staff was absolutely amazing and super friendly. The pools, hot tubs, and lazy rivers were clean and not crowded. Restaurants were nice, overall the resort is nice.

Before arrival and when I first booked, I asked for the highest floor. When I arrived, they told me there was no room available but on the second floor, ok fine. I get in the room, dead flies, flies still alive swarming around I’m like okay no, no way I’m staying here. Room had a smell & irry feeling. Go back to the lobby to change my room, they give me a room in the other building bigger room and couple floors higher, but it still had that horrible stench smell. Can’t explain it but it’s like an old smell that you can’t get rid of. The guy did explain that the room wouldn’t be renovated like the other one was before switching but how do both rooms have the same smell & basically the same furniture? Only thing different was the refrigerator. Also the room had no mirror the only mirror was in the bathroom which was unfortunate. In the first room they gave me it had a mirror but it was on the side of the bed like how am I able to get a good view of my outfit lol? But I stayed for more than 4 days & the smell still was unbearable & would not leave. The floors were dirty (where I think the smell could be from not using good cleaning products). But it was somewhere to lay. I do feel like the actual quality of the room is not worth the overall price for the stay. Yes their outside area is nice, but there’s plenty of other hotels nearby with the same thing. Probably for a less price & same exact views.

Our family loves this resort! We have been the past few years. The location is perfect. Right on the sand with the ocean at our door. The amenities are perfect for a family. For adults and kids there are so many pools, hot tubs and kid pools to enjoy (heated pools during fall winter) or just head down the elevator and walk on the beach. Has to be one of the best values for all thats offered. We typically get a 3b 2ba (sleeps 10) condo for 5 days and the price is around $1100 (1st/2nd week of Oct.) on the upper floor with ocean front view. They have a breakfast buffet that is fantastic. You recieve vouchers when you get a room or you can pay around $15/person. Highly reccomend Compass Cove to any visiting Myrtle Beach.

Crown Reef Beach Resort and Waterpark in Myrtle Beach is a family-friendly destination with modest rooms offering balconies and ocean views. The resort boasts a year-round waterpark featuring thrilling slides for all ages, multiple swimming pools, a lazy river, and a children's play area. With over 500 refreshed guest rooms and suites, the beachside resort provides free admission to the onsite water park for all guests.
Great location near the pier and the state park. Clean rooms, lots of great pools, hot tubs, and that amazing lazy river! Grounds are well maintained, many amenities too. The staff was exceptionally nice & very helpful and also very present in most areas of the hotel. That lends a feeling of safety if you're out alone and that's nice. The beach access is great and views from the hotel were just wonderful! This is our second visit to Crown Reef and I know we will stay here again.

The rooms were awsome. The kitchenette we rented had just about every utensil you could need. Beds were comfy. Staff was awsome. Arcade area was cool. Great view. Not alot around the resort but if you got a car there's alot close by. All and all me and my wife loved it.

I would have given it 1 star but I have them an extra star due to a previous stay. I recommended this place to a friend who was getting married at the beach and they had an entire wedding party staying there. I regret it. The room was cramped with 2 beds and you couldn't get to the closet. We had roaches in our room. ROACHES! PLURAL!! More than 1!! It was disgusting. I felt bad knowing that I recommended this place for someone's special occasion and the rooms totally disappointed.

We really enjoyed our time here. Glad the rain held off until our last day. Although they do have an indoor pool, water slides, and a couple hot tubs. The parking garage kinda floods when it rains which can't be helped. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was attentive.

I gave this resort a 5 star for what it is. Is it a brand new resort? No. Is it high tech? No. Is it in the hip, high traffic area of MB? Also no. Is it very clean? Yes. Is the staff accommodating and friendly? Yes. Does it have everything you need for an oceanfront hotel? Yes. There are multiple pools, hot tubs, and wading pools. There are multiple water slides and a lazy river. There was always staff cleaning, and everything was clean. We stayed 4 days and it was so easy to exchange our linens so we could leave our do not disturb sign up. Would i have given it the same review had we not paid a discounted rate? Maybe not. But I have zero complaints.
Brooke H — Google review
My kids loved the easy accessibility to the beach. It was close enough that I felt comfortable letting my teen go to alone and close enough that my toddler didn’t get worn out from the walk before we even got there. Other reviews mention rooms being dirty - Our room was pretty clean, no sign of bugs. Make sure you look over details surrounding parking. We booked through a 3rd party and didn’t realize we couldn’t park a trailer. Ask for Aladin (District manager) if you have any issues. He’s extremely helpful and wants you to enjoy your stay at Crown Reef.

I see why this hotel has a low rating. I should have taken note of that and not booked. They are awful. I had a trip planned. Paid for trip protection. Found out a storm would be at the beach when I was supposed to go. So, tell me who wants to take a trip just to be stuck in a hotel room? It is hurricane season. They are refusing to refund my money. Highly recommend going elsewhere!!!! This hotel is not it and I definitely would never book here again. Im certain there are plenty accommodating hotels on the strip.

This place is the "FUN" place to stay. Stay here a while back and it is so remarkable. There are so any good things to say about this place. The rooms are some of the best I've ever stayed in,especially the ones on the beach side. Then... you've got the lazy river, the pool and the heated pool. The area that the hotel is in, is a nice area of Myrtle Beach. It's in an area that you can walk to restaurants, shops, and the best.... The Beach. All I can say is that this place will cover everything you need for a short weekend stay, or if you want a nice relaxed week of vacation. There is so much good here all I can tell you is, go try it yourself.

Sea Crest Oceanfront Resort in Myrtle Beach offers cozy accommodations, some with balconies and ocean views. The hotel features a water park, dining options, and is conveniently located on the beach. Guests can enjoy indoor swimming pools, spa tubs, and complimentary access to the water park. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, concierge services, and gift shops.
This is a great place to stay if you want to forget you have children and get bombed at the bar while your children do whatever they want. Ok well that’s the way it felt. We love the amenities however it feels like no one is watching their children. Also we had like no housekeeping until the day before we left and we had to go fetch our towels ourselves. I did like the live entertainment and it was overall fun but I wouldn’t stay here again. You can do better in Myrtle beach for the price.

We stayed for three nights in a king suite, and I’ll start with the positives. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff was very kind. The suite itself was large, clean, and comfortable. Beach access was great, though a ramp instead of steps from the pools to the dunes would have made it easier. The pools were wonderful, especially for our 3-year-old, who loved them. There were some areas that could be improved. We were not told about the $25 credit available for the poolside bar, food, or the small store on property, and we only discovered the store on our last day. The guest laundry was another nice feature, but again, we didn’t know about it until later in the stay. While I appreciate their eco-friendly policy of not changing linens until the fourth night, (which we did not stay long enough), towels were not refreshed, and we had to go to the linen room ourselves to exchange them. Unfortunately, our experience ended on a very negative note. On the last day, we found a large cockroach in the room, which made us leave in a hurry and abandon all of our food, even unopened items. When I mentioned this at checkout, the receptionist simply said, “Well, I will have to have the room sprayed,” in a matter-of-fact tone that made me feel this was not unusual. Because of that, I don’t think I could stay here again and feel comfortable, despite the good location and amenities.

(—)German Roaches (the little ones that are a problem) in first oceanfront room 725. Reassigned to another room with a lot of pet hair 733. Housekeeping switched the bedding, but put the decorative pillows with hair on it right back on the bed. 😩 Thankfully I was able to let them know I didn’t want the bed runner in time. My husband sat on the sofa and his clothes had hair all over it. We put the Murphy bed sheet over the sofa so it was usable but the smell of dog really got into the air. I didn’t want to risk getting a room with roaches so I stayed in the pet one. 733’s air conditioner doesn’t seem to maintain its temperature setting. Based on another reviewer’s recommendation, I unplugged and replugged it in daily in order for it to kick back on. I needed to be in town for longer than expected but there was miscommunication about applying the room change credit to the extended stay. Between that and the roaches and pet hair I decided to get another hotel altogether despite the inconvenience. Even though it was off-season, there were no pool towels for use. There’s no date on the sandwiches in their convenience store. Room towels are pretty scratchy. No conditioner (only shampoo) which is a first for me. Housekeeping every other day. Elevator issues: sometimes it just wouldn’t respond to the buttons. The light would come on to notify that you need an elevator to your floor, then it would just turn off and not come. (+)text to communicate with staff was really convenient; responsive 2nd shift management; they have a convenience store on-site with snacks, beach accessories; water @ convenience store is $2; can get $10 credit toward on-site services if you book directly with them; breakfast croissant sandwich is decent; yogurt parfait was great with blueberry season; large refrigerators; you can exchange your towels between 9-4 if you bring your used towels to the laundry room. Pool variety: just great to have different places you can swim or relax (spa/jacuzzi). Easy beach access. Easy check out (just leave keys in room & text them). Overall: Although there are a lot of amenities and the 2nd shift mgmt was great, I was working so I really needed a clean space. Unfortunately, the rooms just did not meet expectations.

Went for just a night trip ended up staying longer. The people at the front desk are exceptional!!! Extremely friendly and accommodating! So rare to have great customer service these days! The rooms had everything you needed and the view was amazing. The kiddie pools to the lazy river and direct access to the beach is phenomenal! And the cute tiki bar ever better! Lol The only thing I would say was inconvenient was the elevators and not having enough pool towels readily available. Other than that get your things and go!

Beware!! Carefully read the reviews! I usually don't read into the reviews that much because so many people are just so picky. But, this was one experience that I learned from. What was supposed to be a 2 night stay, turned into a 1 night. Roaches!!!!! The small ones, German Roaches. And I'm not just talking about 1,2,3 or 4. Husband and I couldn't sleep. Took pictures and videos. Early next morning told front desk I wanted a refund for 2nd night because checking out early. Explained issue and she said she would have pest control to come. I did received a refund. Also, have to park across the street unless you're handicapped. Long way to carry luggage and etc. Recommend to drop a person off with luggage then go park. This is one couple that will never stay at the Sea Crest Resort again!!

Our stay at Sea Crest Resort began on a promising note but quickly deteriorated into an unacceptable and deeply disappointing experience. We were warmly welcomed by a front desk associate who was courteous, efficient, and professional. However, this initial impression was short-lived. Upon entering our room, we were immediately met with a strong, chemical odor of bug spray. This was the first indication that there might be underlying issues with the property. The room appeared clean and more spacious than expected; however, the overpowering smell was concerning enough that we opened the patio door to air out the room. Within thirty minutes of being in the room, a fly appeared on the floor, which we initially dismissed as an isolated incident. The following morning, however, confirmed our concerns. After returning from breakfast, we discovered a large roach crawling from beneath the stove and across the kitchen area, heading toward the bathroom. This was an alarming and unacceptable sight—especially at a property charging the exorbitant amount per night. The roach was immediately captured and sealed in a trash bag, and we began inspecting our belongings for further infestation. Feeling uncomfortable and unsafe remaining in the room prompted us to pack our belongings and proceed to check out—well ahead of our scheduled departure—fully aware this might jeopardize our ability to obtain a refund. At the front desk, we explained the situation and presented photo evidence of the infestation. It was at this point that we encountered what can only be described as a complete failure in customer service. We were met by Chanel, who identified herself as the manager. When we inquired about her supervisor, she stated she did not have one. When asked to spell her name, she dismissively replied that it was “spelled like it sounds.” Throughout the conversation, she demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, or accountability. She interrupted our conversation, answered another phone call, and responded to our concerns with a condescending and dismissive attitude. At no point did she apologize or show any concern for the conditions we experienced, nor did she acknowledge the inconvenience of our long travel or the gravity of the health and safety concerns we raised. Other staff members stood by without intervening, despite witnessing her conduct. Front-line employees shape the guest experience and reflect the company brand. If the conduct we experienced is representative of your standard, customer loss and revenue decline are inevitable. This experience aligns with the numerous negative reviews we had hoped were isolated incidents. Regrettably, they appear to be accurate. Location: is great. It is directly on the beach, lots of pools & activities for the family—elevators slow. Service: check-in was superior & check-out was awful—rude customer service Rooms: The room was clean and neat; however, it smelled strongly of bug spray, and there were bugs—the reason for us checking out early.

We stayed from a friday to wednesday. We had no problems. Rooms are a little dated. But no bugs. Great amenities for children with several pools and the Waterpark. There's a little Mini Mart on the side that had virtually anything you may have forgotten to pack (even batteries). We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Very happy with our stay so far. Oceanfront efficiency king room just as ordered. It is clean and quiet. The only outside noise we hear is the waves crashing the shore, beautiful sound to sleep and wake up to. Great location as shopping , restaurants and activities are all close by.

Sand Dunes Resort is a casual beachfront property in Myrtle Beach, offering free Wi-Fi and a range of amenities. The resort is conveniently located near popular attractions such as the Carolina Opry and Broadway at the Beach. Families can enjoy various water activities including oceanfront and indoor pools, a lazy river, and a kids' water park. With six on-site restaurants, guests can indulge in different dining experiences throughout their stay.
We are staying in a private air bnb here, and it’s stunning. The property is really nice. The pools and whirlpools are perfect. But, the Convenience Store was our go to. It has everything and is open until 10pm. The beach access and outdoor areas are easily accessible.

There is a restaurant in the hotel which was nice, even though it was a bit overpriced. The staff are rude. And clearly they don’t care about serving their guests properly. They accidentally gave my room to another couple and they walked in while we were sleeping! Then they had the nerve to get annoyed with them because they had not chosen to go to their room sooner! They acted like it was no big deal that this had happened and made me feel unsafe for the remainder of the trip. I sent an email to Crystal at Guest Relations about the incident and have yet to hear anything back. My room was clean though… and the location is great. But if you want friendly hotel staff that care about you and your family’s safety and privacy- I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE.
Coral L — Google review
The stay was about as expected for the price. We’ve been coming to Myrtle for several years now and the location of this resort is great. The amenities on site are also great, though a bit pricey compared to others we’ve stayed. The room was clean upon arrival, though no housekeeping was offered throughout the week we stayed. Not a huge deal for us. The stove took about 30-40 minutes to boil water so we didn’t do much cooking in the unit because of this. The view was wonderful and everyone in our party spent tons of time on the balcony. That is, when majority of our neighbors weren’t smoking the devils lettuce above and below us. That was probably the worst part about the stay. The kids couldn’t stand it and I don’t blame them. The kids also trapped a 4” roach in the arcade. Thankfully that was the only one we witnessed. Lastly, the parking was hit or miss. Some days we could park in the provided garage, and other days we had to pay $20+ to park outside the garage and walk because the garage was full. I would suggest this place if you’re on a tighter budget and want an oceanfront room with tons of amenities on site. However, there are a lot of nicer places to stay at if your willing to spend more money.

In our brief experience here, I’d never recommend wasting your money on this place. We had a room of 10+ people staying next to us. Banging on walls, screaming and even making some sort of drilling sound until 4:30 am the first night, and 1:00am the second night. During supposed “quiet time”. When we made a complaint in the morning, it never went through to security. The following night, we went directly down to the lobby around 12:30am and we were blamed for everything by the rude employee, I believe her name was “Dadree”. She said it was our fault for waiting until the following morning the night before to report it. She refused to speak to us after roughly 2 minutes of respectful conversation (all I wanted was to know why we were being blamed, and why she was instantly so rude). Meanwhile, we were also told there was no number for the lobby we could contact during the night either. She also lied about not having a card for a manager for us to speak to. I want to note the disturbance was so bad that security (who I had to speak to myself directly) contacted the police. The following morning a very nice manager named Steve gave us a number to contact. At which point I’ve yet to hear back from. I think it should be known also that I clarified multiple times that I had no interest in being compensated. I just felt the employee should be reported and trained by management to do better. 1/10 customer service if I could rank it. With the exception of Steve.

Rooms are dated and dirty. Coffee machine was up on a shelf. Had to move it to where I could plug it in and use it. No ice bucket. TV screen had strong blue tint that couldn’t be fixed. We did pass another room on the same floor a few doors down that looked 10 times better

Condo rooms were nice. Showers looked new but made for people 5.5 and below. Views were incredible. Great beach front as well as outdoor pool with lazy river. Management needs to do a better job instructing new renters on where to go. It was confusing. People coming up the parking garage are fighting with people coming down. Very tight turns.

I’m genuinely shocked at how bad our experience is going at Sand Dunes Resort (July 26-Aug 2), cannot wait to leave this dirty place. What was supposed to be a relaxing getaway turned into a frustrating nightmare from the start. Check-in was incredibly slow, and the front desk staff were anything but friendly. When we finally got to the room, it was filthy – sticky floors, roaches, old as heck furniture and stained sheets. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. We called housekeeping, it has been days and still no one showed up , after several reminders. I keep getting a response "Oh we forgot to put in a request" The amenities were no better. The pool was overcrowded, Staff seemed uninterested in helping with anything – from getting clean towels to answering basic questions about the area. They keep saying "Don't expect fitness center to be any good" seems like all employees are sick and tired of their job. Honestly, the only thing this resort has going for it is the beach nearby – but even that couldn’t make up for the horrible service and poorly maintained facilities. I wouldn’t stay here again if it were free. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. I can even share pics, I'm truly disgusted!

Was totally disappointed in the rooms. We got two rooms and both needed renovations. Closet door rusty and seem like they will fall. Coffee table seem like it would brake easily if you touched it. Rooms smelled old. Had to get air freshener. Not the best clean room. Wore my sandals the whole time. Towels given super thin. Pools were great and Avas pizzeria was good as well. Not a fan of their parking garage. Will not stay there again.

The Caribbean Resort and Villas in Myrtle Beach has been a beloved destination for over 40 years. The property offers a variety of accommodations, including oceanfront rooms, condos, and private Chelsea Villas. Guests can enjoy an array of amenities such as a spa, game room, on-site restaurant, tiki bar, Starbucks, and Ben and Jerry's.
We stayed here 9/20/25 - 9/28/25 celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We can say enough. We arrived 2 hours early. Alex at registration was more then accommodating. He not only checked us in but informed us if we were willing we could be given a room on a higher flood. Of course we took the "upgrade". We ending up with a corner room on a higher flood. The room was very clean and spacious. Housekeeping came every other day to give clean towels, collect the used towels and trash. The concierge service was great. Nicole recommended Wicked Tuna(not officiated with the TV show). It's a fresh sea food restaurant and it was fabulous. We also had dinner at Rizo, which we also highly recommend. Thank up so much to the SUPER staff at Carribean Resort and Villas for such a great experience. Looking for to seeing you next year

We recently stayed at the Caribbean Resort in Myrtle Beach, and overall, it’s a lovely place. The hotel itself is very nice — clean, modern, and beautifully updated. The furniture and rooms felt fresh and comfortable, and we especially appreciated the large TVs with all the streaming apps we like to use. It really made our stay feel up to date and enjoyable. However, there were a few issues that made our experience less than perfect. Even though we had a full kitchen in our room, it wasn’t stocked well enough to actually cook meals. There weren’t enough dishes, and basic items like a skillet and a can opener were missing. For a resort that offers full kitchens, I feel like these essentials should definitely be included to make guests’ stays more convenient. Another issue was with the indoor pools. While we loved that they had them open during the winter, they were freezing cold. The pools didn’t seem to be heated, and there was a door left open that let cold air in the entire time. It made it hard to enjoy the amenities. If the pools are going to be open year-round, heating them should really be mandatory. We also had a frustrating experience trying to get pool towels. We had to go to the front desk for towel cards, which we never actually received. Then we were told we’d need to return towels to get the cards back, but the process was confusing and inconsistent depending on who was at the desk. It would be much easier if towels were simply available by the pool for guests to grab as needed. Lastly, the dryer in our room didn’t work properly. We tried several loads of laundry, but nothing dried. When maintenance came, we were told to do smaller loads, but we had already been doing that. Unfortunately, it never worked right. Overall, the Caribbean Resort is a beautiful property in a great location with modern, comfortable rooms. But a few improvements — like better kitchen supplies, heated indoor pools, easier access to towels, and working laundry appliances — would make a huge difference in the guest experience.

The check-in process was smooth and easy. The front desk staff were wonderful, and I really appreciated being able to check in early. I stayed in the Dominican Tower on the 15th floor the room was nicely renovated, and the ocean view was absolutely beautiful. However, there were a few issues during my stay. The pull-out couch mattress was soiled and should be replaced. The front door of the room faced the main strip, making it quite noisy at night, and the AC unit was loud and didn’t cool the room properly. I typically inspect the bedding upon arrival, but this time I didn’t. Before checking out, I stripped the bed and noticed a large yellow stain on the mattress cover, which was disappointing. Overall, my stay was pleasant, but I do hope these concerns are addressed to improve future guest experiences.

We highly recommend this Beautiful hotel. I only wish I could give it a higher rating. It is Beautiful on the outside and Beautiful on the inside. Beautiful pools inside and out, lazy pools so many.We are on the nineth floor ,our view is Breathtaking . When we arrived here the two receptionist were so helpful and kind they are definitely a keeper to this Beautiful hotel. wonderful atmosphere!!! I ask there names,Yasmeen and Shannon. I probably would’ve given this place 4.5 stars, but my experience made me lower the rating. I would stay here again, beaucse my daugher had the time of her life, but I wouldn’t stay in the Jamacian. It was more of the older site. So now I know to book the Deluxe rooms for the updated version. Cons: I didn’t have AC the first night and for half of the next day. I called the front desk, and maintenance came to fix it, but when it finally started running, it gave off a bad smell, clearly from sitting unused for hours. I ended up turning it off and relying on the smaller unit in the back. There were large staples on the floor, which could’ve easily hurt my daughter. I just picked them up myself, but there were a lot. But the beds, tv's etc. I checked out a night early because of a disturbing incident at the pool. A man who was clearly high kept touching me and some of the younger girls playing with my daughter. He even followed us onto the elevator. I reported it to the front desk when checking out, but the young man working just said, “Have a safe trip home,” and didn’t seem concerned. Several amenities weren’t available, but you don’t realize that until you try to use them—like when we went to the slide area and found it closed. Someone defecated in the indoor pool, which caused it to close (understandable), but it made the outdoor pool extremely crowded. Pros: The location is perfect, less than 10 minutes from Broadway. The gift shop was great. The front desk staff at check-in were very polite and welcoming (even though there was later confusion about the deposit charges). There are restaurants and a bar on-site, so you don’t really need to leave the resort for meals. There’s a Starbucks and Ben & Jerry’s conveniently located nearby. The DJ and entertainment at the outdoor pool were fantastic and made for a fun atmosphere. The Beach is also located very close to the resort.

Wonderful time! We stayed in a two bedroom renovated oceanview unit that was gorgeous! Loved the beautiful coastline view. Great location, awesome wide oceanfront pool deck with great amenities, and friendly customer service. Convenient to walk over to Sea Captain’s for lunch or enjoy a drink from the Tiki bar while floating in the lazy river! Highly recommend!

Don't go here!!!!!! Worst experience ever for a "resort stay". I was VERY disappointed and mad 😡 even now because even after complaining to the manager and told we would receive a call back that day. That never happened! And two days later, still no call from management to resolve our issues. Front line staff are nice but the management are horrible!!! I just can't believe they don't care about anyone's satisfaction. Here were all our issues: 1.) We entered our hotel room which was very dark. Only one light/lamp in the room (although photo advertised showed two). The lamp had two bulbs but only one was working. The other was out. The shade was loose and wobbly. Maintenance got us a lightbulb but a manager promised a tall lamp that never showed up. 2.) The telephone in the room wasn't working. Maintenance was called and they tried to fix it; said that a phone company would need to fix this. Never worked our two days later stay so we were without a phone. 3.) we thought we would take a shower. No hot water. And VERY LITTLE water pressure. You had to stand directly under it to get a shower. Maintenance got us hot water finally but water pressure still low. 4.) managers heard our complaint but never gave us any refund. Not even a partial (one night refund) like promised. Never returned our call, and we had to repeat our story to multiple managers there. I believe that they just didn't care and used any stall method to appease us as if they cared; once we left we weren't their problem anymore. Dirty and definitely not worth the money. Go elsewhere!!!!

Check in says 4pm but we arrived at 3pm and didn't get room until 6pm. After that all went great. Room as listed, super comfy and clean. Maids took trash, brought clean towels daily. Employees friendly, sea captain next door has good breakfast buffet. Happy we tried a different condo. Good location. Will go back

The Landmark Resort is a beachfront hotel offering a range of accommodations such as rooms, efficiencies, suites, and penthouses. The resort boasts various dining options including a breakfast buffet, bar and grill, ice cream shop, pizzeria, pool bar, and Starbucks coffee bar. Guests can enjoy the newly renovated 9,800 square feet water park with three tall waterslides and a kids' play area.
Overall a nice place. The rooms need a little updating in some of the rooms, it looks as if they are trying. Our bathroom in room 1427 could have been a little cleaner, and the counter in the kitchenette was sticky. In room 1428 the shower head leaks and sprays the wall and gets the floor soaked. Be careful not to slip. The room door doesn't shut unless you slam it. The water takes forever to get warm if you ever get hot water, but we were on the 14th floor so we may be far from the hot water tank, our water pressure wasnt all that but we managed. The property itself has nice amenities and meeting rooms. The front desk associates were all very nice. Security was friendly. The breakfast buffet was cold and not worth $20 per person. Order from the menu it's better. We would stay again.

Great experience!!! We came in the off season, so housekeeping was readily available. Great room!!! Very clean. Only complaint was the shower. It took 10 minutes to get hot water to the shower and the shower head had no pressure. Other than that, it was a great place to stay on the beach!!

I was skeptical of staying at the Landmark after reading the reviews online and honestly had a back up plan in the event it did not measure up. However, after arriving we were pleasantly surprised. The front desk check in associates were so friendly, professional, and efficient. The rooms were just as advertised online. No hidden fees we paid exactly what was quoted. Our check in amount already had the $12 per day parking included. When we needed fresh towels and bedding the front desk attendant Sherri or Sharon was so kind and had them immediately sent to our room. The only negative feedback that I could honestly give would be the floors in the rooms seemed to not have been cleaned prior to arrival. I have two toddlers and their socks and clothes were filthy after crawling around and at the pool area the baby swimming pool and hot tubs looked like they had a build up of grime mildew or mold on the steps and bottoms. This is why I gave a 4 star rating as opposed to a 5 star rating. Overall I would highly recommend this resort and look forward to returning in the future.

Really enjoyed staying at the Landmark Resort. My children are all different ages and there was something for everyone, without a doubt. My two boys absolutely loved the waterslides and my daughter went wild over the animal slide! 😂 We had a small issue when we arrived but it was handled very quickly and we couldn't have been more pleased and accommodated! The small restaurant/bar inside has nice vibes and good food. The pool bar had some delicious drinks, too. The view is great and it's a very short walk to the sand. Easy parking. Could definitely use some more seating in the Lobby area, especially for those who are disabled. 🙏🏼

Great place for families on a tight budget. The kids will absolutely have a fun time here. For adults though? ...yeah not the best. People getting stuck on elevators, guests leaving trash in the hallway untill the whole floor smells rancid, or even rumors of bedbugs. This place is clearly on the downtrend. With that said, it is incredibly affordable so, for the price we paid, im surprised we even received as much as we did. We also didnt have any issues with our room/bed, and if anything id say this was the best hotel experience we've had at this price point. I hope management increases the prices slightly and puts the added revenue back into the facilities. Otherwise, I dont know how long being the "family affordability" poster child is gonna work out for them.
Jordan S — Google review
Service is great in every way. The breakfast was made to order and good. The room was a bit disappointing. No safe in the room as listed in the documentation, the mattress was not very good. The half the lights were out in the indoor pool so the interior side was very dark and looked a bit rundown. The hot tub is not hot. The kitchen in the room was well stocked with any pot, pan, or utensil you need. They are not the hotel they were in the past and could use some updating but its not terrible. I hope they return to the hotel I remember.

Family and I have stayed here for many years. Rooms are relatively clean and comfortable. They have unfortunately used covid to eliminate housekeeping staff, like most other hotels in the area, and I do not appreciate it. A complete lack of housekeeping, trash pickup, towels, and other small things takes this place from a solid 4 star review to a low 3 for me. The only saving grace is the access to their pools and the beachfront location.
Alex P — Google review
I would give this place negative stars if I could. I stayed at the hotel 9/26-9/28. I’m not a person that complains. I try to give people and places a chance. On day one after checking in and going to my room I discovered it was extremely dirty. The bathtub floor was black, brown stuff smeared on the lamp shade, spots on the beds. The staff moved me to another room. The second room one of the beds was broke, the hot water took forever to get warm, and it wasn’t as dirty as the first but still unclean and smelt awful. I didn’t even use the oceanfront balcony I paid for cause of how nasty it was. But I thought hey maybe the water amenities would make up for the rooms. Wrong. Everyday there was something nasty floating around in the pools and hot tubs. On the third day the lazy river was closed because there was poop all in the bottom and instead of someone out there cleaning it the staff just put up a closed sign. Also there were cockroaches floating in the pool and crawling everywhere. Then there were the elevators. On a few occasions it skipped our floor and we had to stop on a different floor and use the stairs to walk the rest of the way. But on the last night my young daughter and I were trapped on an elevator. The door closed but none of the floor buttons would work. Then the doors wouldn’t open back up and let us out. I had to keep pressing the alarm button for help. All of a sudden the elevator started to shoot upwards. My young daughter was terrified. The elevator stopped at the 4th floor. A gentleman had called for the elevator. If he hadn’t there’s no telling how long we would have been stuck. The whole experience was horrible. I have tried to reach out to management and haven’t gotten any type of response yet. I will continue to try until I get a full refund.

Captain's Quarters Resort is a modern beachfront lodging in Myrtle Beach, SC that caters to families with its array of kid-friendly amenities. The resort boasts 15 water activities and rides, including kiddie pools, lazy rivers, and Shipwreck Lagoon water park. On rainy days, guests can enjoy the 20-lane bowling alley or indoor water features.
There is construction to remodel the building after a fire about a year ago but the staff is amazing. The rooms are some of the nicest I have stayed in at Myrtle Beach with several sizes and options. Multiple pools and hot tubs avaliable so you are not stacked in with 30 or 40 people trying to share. They have 2 lazy rivers on for toddlers and one for everyone else both indoors, a large children's splash area, and an arcade.

The real winner here is the location. Property is on the beach, close to food and within walking distance of a lot of good spots. The hotel however is very lacking. 30 seconds into our stay we found a bed bug. It was just a single bug, and the staff moved us right away, but something to note. In our second room, the shower handle was broken and took a while to figure out. Overall, the room was very dated. The whole property is under construction and stuff is everywhere. Check in is at a restaurant across the street but seemed to go quick enough. The staff was nice whenever we needed anything. The pools were decent enough. A little run down/dirty in areas, but the here’s a ton of people running around so I expected it.

This resort is nice for families for sure! We had a great time! The guards and maintenance staff were informative and nice! The check-in process was accurate and quick! However, it was hard to get an answer from the front desk at sundown when we tried to call! Our flooring inside the rooms were very moist and slippery; Very humid in there! The fridge could have been cleaned properly as well as one the beds! It wasn’t bad though! 8.5 out of 10 experience … The view and amenities by itself is a 10/10!

We were just recently there for our 2 year wedding anniversary and it started out great but as the time went on it got worse we had people smoking pot on the balcony below us which made it hard to enjoy the ocean because we had to keep the balcony door closed. The next day the cops were next door at the Polynesian making my wife and myself feel unsafe because we didn't know what was going on and the security was terrible the only security guards that were good were the two white women I don't know their names but all the other security guards were just worried about phone chargers or sitting down being on their phone. The very same day somebody pulled the fire alarm on the 9th floor ruining the peace and quiet nobody was working the arcade and on top of that the room phone didn't work. The day before we left we're packing up and I noticed that the air unit was plugged up into a box and just left out the power strip cord was frayed and showed wires and the outlet we plugged our fan into didn't have a faceplate that was a terrible experience with them this year and we will not be returning

Disappointed by Declining Service Despite Decent Amenities I’ve stayed at Captain’s Quarters several times over the years, but unfortunately, it has gone downhill—and fast. While the room itself was comfortable and the amenities like the pools and beach access remain a strong point, the service has become nearly unbearable, especially considering the ever-increasing prices. Each day, we had to call just to get fresh towels because housekeeping never restocked them on their own. Even worse, no one ever came to collect the used ones or empty the trash. We were left to pile them up ourselves. The staff we encountered were often dismissive or flat-out rude, making what should be a relaxing vacation feel more like an inconvenience. To make matters worse, the phone in our room never worked—not once. We reported it multiple times, but nothing was ever done to fix it. For what they’re charging now, you’d expect much better service. Sadly, Captain’s Quarters seems more focused on hiking rates than providing a decent guest experience. We won’t be back until they turn things around. Also get ready to either have to pay a $40 (non-reimbursent fee for potential room damage) or have a $250 hold fee on your card ( to be reimbursed “sometime” after departure if no room damage)!

I really wouldn’t recommend staying here. When we first arrived, we couldn’t find any luggage carts, and the only one we did see had a locked-up wheel. I had to go searching the property for a new one. After having to go next door to the restaurant to check in as they are doing major construction on the front of the building. Our first room was a disaster—there was a puddle in the living area from a leak in the room next door, mold on the wall, and tons of tiny bugs running up and down. The room phone didn’t even work, so I had to call the front desk on my cell. The first thing they asked was, “Did you just check in?” which didn’t give me much confidence. The evening manager who switched our room was nice, but everyone else was not very friendly. They moved us to a different room, which was better, but the cable didn’t work. The bathroom drywall was bowed and water-damaged. The sink in the bathroom was an under mounted sink and was separating from the counter. On top of that, we had to call every single day to get towels, which was a hassle with five people. The kitchen was not stocked with all the basic necessities like stated which made it hard for cooking. Almost every night from around 9:40 PM to 4 AM, the people in both rooms next to us were screaming, slamming doors, and carrying on. I tried calling the front desk multiple times, but no one ever answered. The hallways constantly reeked of weed and it would come in our room through the AC unit, and yes—those reviews about bed bugs are 100% true. Overall, the place was disgusting, and I wouldn’t stay here again. It just needs to be completely shut down and redone.

I was really concerned about booking here after reading reviews about bed bugs, but it was the only place available through RCI partnership so we took a chance. The place, in summer of 2025, is under massive construction so it's incredibly ugly from the front. The noise didn't wake us up at all - I specifically asked to be above the floors they'd be working on though, and the a/c running constantly makes a great white noise machine. The check in is across the street at the Loco Gecko restaurant, which went pretty smoothly until she gave us a room that hadn't been cleaned by housekeeping. We had frozen foods melting in the car and when I finally found my way out of the multi-elevator maze and multi-floor parking garage, I was annoyed. So I negotiated an upgraded room to the junior two bedroom suite for a steep discount. She haggled me a bit but we found our way and the kids were happy to have real beds and not a Murphy bed and pull out couch. The negative part is those suites face the street and you only get a partial ocean view, but we got two balconies so it was totally fine with me. I could still sit on the balcony and drink my coffee each day and see enough ocean 🌊 to take in its beauty and wonder. As far as the bugs, this is NOT TRUE. I even spoke with a local lady who works and lives here year round who used to work for the health Dept. She said when folks 'get kicked out of hotels for not obeying their rules, the first thing they do is go on Google and write bed bugs in a review because they know it will hurt their business.' So folks are focused on revenge for their own bad behavior. She told me this hotel is "immaculate" and other than their system screw up with hospitality, the new room was beautiful and spacious, including prompt towel service and a full kitchen. My biggest complaint is the SAND EVERYWHERE. But they give you tiled floors and a broom so you can sweep daily if you like. The pools are ok - not the most crystal clear but were being cleaned while we were in them. I do have a huge complaint about the $40/night resort fee to cover the cost of those pools. That was an extra fee I wasn't expecting and at the same price as Great Wolf Lodge, you would expect a much more pristine water experience. But no lifeguards, just a few small pools and hot tubs. The beach access directly from the hotel is amazing. No more walking miles with all that heavy beach stuff. Last thing is the parking garage is free!! I was afraid I would get charged but it's included.
Melody L — Google review
This is our second time here with our grandchildren and this time we were very disappointed. Same “Coming Soon 2025” signs without seeing not one change except for more blocked off areas for construction or not safe and roped off area, or not available at this time signs. If they are going to continue to advertise the amenities then they need to have them available. The rooms need a definite upgrade and repair. The parking garage looks like it may crumble on the second floor. The Loco Geko restaurant they recommend (attached to the hotel) is now the check in and front desk in the middle of people trying to eat in a much too cramped and way overpriced environment. Crazy in every direction! Our grandchildren still had a great time but for the money we’re paying and what we’re paying for we were not pleased. The only plus I can give this establishment was the staff. They were pleasant and helpful. We will not be returning to Captain’s Quarters and I will not recommend that anyone spend their money or vacation here.

Breakers Myrtle Beach Resort is a family-friendly oceanfront property with seven accommodation towers and 700 feet of pristine shoreline. The resort offers a variety of bright and spacious suites, ranging from one to three-bedroom condos, as well as entertainment options such as a water park, kids' club, and dining choices. Guests can unwind at the pools, lazy river, and hot tubs before enjoying meals at the full-service restaurant or treats from Ben & Jerry's and Starbucks.
We return every fall for a getaway week at the Breakers in Myrtle Beach. Fall prices for beachfront suites are unbeatable. In the Paradise a full sized fridge and stove make it easy to have meals there, tho we usually dine out. Lazy river and pools are well kept, and close enough to walk to several restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend!

the first time we booked was in July and we stayed in the Dunes building. This building is across the street from the other buildings and is very old and dirty. The AC is very loud and the beds and pillows are not comfortable at all. This building is also right on the corner so the street noise is unbearable. The only thing that drowned out the street noise was the AC unit that is so loud. We stayed a week and housekeeping did not come one time to clean. We had to call for clean towels and take our own trash out. I would give the Dunes building a 1 star review Then my husband and I came in September for a long weekend and stayed in the Palms building which is ocean side. This building is much better. The fridge was not working but was fixed as soon as we brought it to their attention. The beds are still very uncomfortable. Housekeeping did come in every day and bring fresh towels and take out the trash. Not sure why this was not done in the Dunes building. I feel like the Dunes building is very disconnected from the rest of the buildings. Also there were 2 nights that we had to listen to blaring music. Not sure where it was coming from but I brought it to an employees attention and I was basically dismissed. This building is also on the busy street and the street noise is very loud Suggestions: promote the bar in the Palms building. My husband and I went there a few nights for a drink but were disappointed when we wanted to go in and have a drink and watch Monday night football and it was closed. Maybe offer 1 free drink with your stay On a positive note the staff was very friendly and check in was very easy

Spent my 65th birthday with the Breakers Resort! Had the most amazing time! The staff and accommodations were great! The location makes it the best and most versatile resort on the beach along with its other locations to enjoy and a complimentary shuttle to get you there, ny new bestie!

Front desk was average and not overly friendly. Room service was fast and kind. Location is excellent for activities and restaurants, as well as all pools and water activities. The room kitchen was poorly stocked and the shower leaked tons of water onto the whole bathroom floor, requiring us to lay almost all our towels to soak up the water and prevent falls. And the Wyndam time share desk that the check in person tells you "You HAVE to stop at", should be avoided at all costs. We felt very degraded by the two ladies there ... who also kept changing their offers faster and more confusing than the best of quick change artists. Oh, and I can't imagine how bad parking is during peak season because when we were there in October, it was HORRIFIC!

The front desk was busy at check in but the staff were friendly and efficient. We were assigned to the Dunes building which is across the street from the ocean. This building shows its age. The elevator had issues-the button to take us down to the 1st floor didn’t work. We had to go to the 2nd floor and walk down the stairs to get to the ground floor. Since we were in town for a sports tournament and it was late October, we didn’t use any of the amenities on property.

Booke an ocean side view suite for our honeymoon. It was super clean, roomy and affordable this time of year (September). The staff was friendly and we want to come back to this place again. The only two things I'd note is the hot tub looked very dirty but everything else was clean and they can't help it but the hotel next door has a very bright light that kind of obstructed the view of the beach at night. Otherwise it was an absolutely perfect place that provides an absolute perfect vacation.

Great location, family friendly hotel. Rooms are clean and kitchenette always a plus. Beautiful oceanfront spot. Nice to have bigger balcony but overall no complaints. 3 things: 1. Seek out Tish, hotel/front desk manager, and Michael ( bell hop) they are amazing and will do whatever it takes to ensure u have an awesome vacation. 2. Breakfast at Pappas (a must) and if u don’t have little ones with u I recommend 3001 night club at (you can do country line dancing, or Latin salsa or R&B - 3 different clubs in one. 3. 5in walk from Breakers are 2 amazing restaurants - SoHo and Oyster Bar. Both have amazing menus and all the fresh food is delicious .

Still one of the small few that have survived all of the changes of this crazy world where you can trust your location, your room cleanliness, and pool area looking like brand new EVERY MORNING. All of their staff treat you like you are their only customer. Don't waste your time... go ahead and book your room now. You will not regret it.

The Grande Cayman Resort, previously known as the Long Bay Resort, is a fantastic oceanfront destination in Myrtle Beach. It boasts the Silly Sub Water Park with a yellow submarine and three stories of thrilling waterslides. The resort offers various attractions for kids, including kiddie pools, waterslides, and a 250-foot lazy river. Additionally, guests can enjoy amenities such as a gym, restaurant, bars, shuffleboard, ping pong, and giant chess boards.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was very good & the staff was very friendly. The rooms in the Savoy are old & run down, could use some updating. The only complaint I have is the Concierge. No one wants to feel pressured to stop by her station & listen to her pitch. We were tired from the drive & just wanted to go to our room. We were not interested in any of the activities she was offering. She called our room numerous times. I don't want to deal with that when I'm on vacation. I make my own plans.

Our stay was disappointing due to multiple issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and service. The room had a strong musty, damp smell. The couch and chair were stained, and the bathroom floor was dirty with hair present upon arrival. We found dead bugs in the cabinet under the sink, and the dresser in the bedroom had an overwhelming musty odor. The ice machines never had ice, and the one on our floor was out of order for our entire stay. Laundry facilities were also poor. Two of the three dryers were broken, and the one working dryer couldn’t dry a full load in one cycle. There was no change machine in the laundry room or elsewhere in the facility, making it difficult to use the machines at all. The pools and hot tubs looked cloudy and discolored, which made us question the water quality. The putt-putt area was in disrepair and not usable. Trash in our room wasn’t emptied daily, and we were not provided with extra pillows for the Murphy bed or pullout couch. Customer service was hit or miss. The Tiki Bar staff were rude and unprofessional. At the restaurant, the hostess couldn’t answer a question about Happy Hour because she “only works breakfast,” and made no effort to find someone who could. The stairwells were poorly marked, and there were no maps posted on each floor showing what amenities were available. We were also given no information about beach umbrella rentals. Positives: The parking garage was convenient and free. There was easy beach access. Our King Suite had a full-size fridge, and the air conditioning worked well. We enjoyed the afternoon poolside games, and housekeeping staff were friendly, despite the service gaps.

Rooms were clean and good size. I stayed on a slower week night and was given a corner room with view of neighboring parking lot. I even asked about a good view and they said it doesn't matter. I would have even paid a little more for a better view, but since a slow night I should have been given a better view by default. The restaurant and bars only had one bar tender to watch bar, seat people and take orders. She did fine but I think the outside Tiki Bar should have been open at night but it wasn't. I planned to relax and get a few drinks in the evening. I am not a day drinker. The rooms were nice in appearance, cleanliness and size however the hallways and outdoor pool area were in need of maintenance and renovations. Overall, it was a good experience. The hotel was in a good location on the beach. I wish I could have enjoyed it from my room.
Tom P — Google review
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were as pictured. Housekeeping was on point and handled any requests quickly. I enjoyed being able to communicate with staff via text. Check in was quick and easy. Ate at Due South for breakfast which was your typical breakfast buffet. Only issues I encountered were one of the hot tubs not being hot which they had atleast 4 from what I was able to see. It would've been cool /a plus if they had life jackets for the children. Lastly, I was told to come back after 4 to receive my welcome gift that I was expecting since booking. When i did go to concierge I was told to come back later which I was confused about and received no explanation. I ended up coming back the next day as I was tired from my out of state drive and was told I was too late to receive my welcome gift and could only get it the 1st night then was handed a 2nd coupon(same book that I was given the 1st night). I did make a complaint to the front desk in which after "some time" I was called downstairs and was given an envelope full of more of the typical tourist coupons. Other then that everything was great and I would definitely return in the future. I honestly feel the resort shouldn't have less then 4 stars. But that's my 2 cents.
Sah'lihn D — Google review
My only complaint is the hot tubs could have been a little cleaner. Other than that everything was great, friendly staff, fast response time to asking for extra blankets and toiletries. Room was very clean. We did bring our own pots to cook with since we had a group of 10 people in a room and cooked most of the week. This was our second year staying. Love everything there is for the kids to do on site.

I stayed in a 3-bedroom condo on a high floor and we had a good ocenview (note that if you stay on 8 or below, you may be looking at a building, view is not unobstructed on those floors). The reason for my rating is the check-in process and missing room anemities. First, we arrived at 3:45 pm and the website advertises check-in is at 4:00 pm. Istead of being honest that the room would take longer to clean, we were told it was being inspected and had to wait over an hour to check-in. I am not a fan of the carpet on the walkway to the room and balcony because it is slippery and dirty (wear shoes on the balcony). The room was decent but the master shower was poorly designed (no space to put shampoo and body wash). The condo didn't have a blender or a corkscrew. We called the front desk for a corkscrew and was told we would have to bring the bottle to the bar. We went to borrow one from the bar, but they claimed they only had one corkscrew! The "indoor" pool was covered and not completely indoor, as it is exposed to the outside. The indoor hot tub was not hot, more like luke-warm. The best thing about the stay was spending time with family, the view, Starbucks (excellent service), and housekeeping came daily and was very accommodating and friendly! I would not recommend this hotel to my friends and family and I don't plan to stay here again.
Thomise B — Google review
Rooms are good but nothing really to cook with, Ac went out a couple times was fixed fast, didn't care that you had to call for trash pickup was fast a couple times but not the others called for a room clean up and new sheets but never showed, the pool and hot tub was good didn't care for the guy pouring chemicals in the hot tub with kids in it and cleaning with spray near the tables. Called before coming was told everything was open and operational as normal got there everything was closed most of our trip they completely removed the mini golf. The restaurant has awesome pizza and good Philly, some of the staff was setting in the waiting chairs talking sexual to the waitress in front of kids not good. its not bad but definitely not for us.
Motorsports 2 — Google review
The onsite restaurants were great and the servers were genuinely sweet. The pools were a lot of fun and the kids had a blast. Overall, the resort has a lot to offer for families. On the downside, the rooms could use some TLC. The front concierge told us show tickets were sold out, but we bought them online right after with no problem. The biggest issue is the noise from the pool, which is open until 11 p.m. The sound carries up to every floor, and management doesn’t seem concerned. If you have kids or light sleepers, keep that in mind.

Family Kingdom Amusement Park is a beachfront attraction in Myrtle Beach, offering a variety of rides, games, and a Ferris wheel. The park features 38 rides suitable for kids, families, and thrill-seekers alike. From classic wooden rollercoasters to modern swings and slingshots, there's something for everyone. Visitors can opt for unlimited ride wristbands or single ride tickets. With onsite parking available, the park provides a festive carnival atmosphere perfect for families and couples.
Got the early bird pricing, $30 wrist bands. Went on a Wednesday, first week of June. Had hardly any wait for rides, the park was clean and considering some of our local fairs are $25-30 per wrist band, I felt this was a good deal. Small enough to get through in a couple hours, big enough to have thrills for the older kids, plenty of rides for younger kids as well.

We had such a great time at Family Kingdom Amusement Park! The park opens at 5 PM, which is perfect since the weather is cooler in the evening. Parking was easy with plenty of spots available on the street. The unlimited wristbands are a fantastic deal—kids can enjoy riding as much as they want, and parents or guardians don’t have to buy tickets just to enter the park. There’s a really nice variety of rides, from exciting thrill rides to plenty of kid-friendly options, so it’s fun for all ages. The lines were short and easy to manage, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a wonderful way to spend time together as a family, and we highly recommend it!

We had a fun afternoon out during our first visit to Family Kingdom this past Sunday. I am so happy that the gloomy weather that day cleared out and made way for a beautiful sunny day. So our first visit went on without a glitch. I definitely love the wide variety of thrill rides, family rides, games, concessions,. The atmosphere was fun and casual, the employees were friendly, and this place definitely attracts a wide variety of people of all ages. I very much enjoyed my three rides on the historic swamp fox coaster. I look forward to coming again in the future.

I took my two kids (age 2&7) and they both absolutely loved it! There were things for both of them to do & enjoy which is hard to find at amusement parks! Food was also very good! Rating 4 instead of 5 bc there were rides that other kids who were smaller than mine were able to do but mine weren’t allowed—so basically it’s up to the discretion of the ride operator but my kids didn’t understand that. Other than that though it was a very nice little amusement park!

The best place for fun for people who like adrenaline and excitement, great for sharing with the family. There are mechanical attractions for children of all ages. The bracelet includes all the attractions and as many times as you want to do them, which makes it cheaper than paying for each one. The only downside is that it doesn't include parking, but it's affordable to be there from the time they open until they close, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. ($20).

Great park. Kids loved it and I did some slides too. If you want a cabana purchase in advance. We got one of the last ones the night before. They were sold out when we got to the park. With the heat index today 100+ it was extremely helpful to have.

Great little water park. Complementary entrance from HGV for owners makes it even better. Nice rides, small crowds and nice people working here. Gave it four stars because it took too long to get our food orders every time we went to buy something. They need better management in the food establishments. Other than that, would highly recommend it for the kids!

Had a lot of fun here! Definitely spring for the cabana so you get a break from the sun!! Plus if you get a cabana you get 15% percent off of food and drinks- minus ice cream and alcoholic drinks. Came here on June. 24, 2025. We live here and we have the season passes, we just started coming after we get off work to bring our children in the afternoons. Usually when we come the lifeguards don’t really say much, if you ask them a question they can be rude or act like it’s an inconvenience. Most of them look like teenagers. So as a mother of five children ages 20,18,15,11,and 9. I totally get that’s just how kids are nowadays. It’s the new generation. BUT today on 06/24/2025 I came across a lovely lifeguard at the lazy river by the name of Morgan!! This young lady was absolutely sweet and respectful to each and every person she talked too! She engaged with every guest, she made sure everyone had tubes or knew that they could float around the lazy river until one came available. She helped people of all ages, and races. It was also this young lady’s birthday !!! We over heard life guards telling her happy birthday. Sooo after floating around the lazy river and meeting a bunch of other people we all made a 35 person train as we floated around. We stopped everyone and told them it was her birthday and we all needed to say it as we went by!!! And to my surprise all these strangers that we never have seen before all came together to tell her happy birthday and sing a quick song for her!!! She actually teared up and was so thankful!! What a beautiful young lady she is!!! So before I left yesterday I wanted to let a manager know about my experience with her. Because as a business owner here myself in Myrtle Beach, it’s rare to get compliments, usually it’s the bad stuff you here. So I wanted to make sure they know what a wonderful asset she is !!! And I wanted to get in here in hopes that people will see this and even maybe Morgan herself or maybe her parents!!! Because as a business owner, mother of five children and as a guest in the water park…. She made us feel like she had knew us our whole lives!! She was like this towards everyone!!! The world needs more people like her!!! So to Morgan’s parents, you did an amazing job raising this young lady!! Morgan, keep up with that wonderful attitude and grace !!! And Myrtle waves, please recognize this young lady for doing her job and doing it with happiness, grace, respect and dignity!!! And on the last note, this water park is soooo fun!!! We love it here!!!

Each room offers a private balcony and bathroom, ensuring comfort during your stay. Guests rave about the warm hospitality provided by the staff, who go above and beyond to make your experience memorable.
The lady at the front desk and the man helped us check in and gave us fantastic service. They helped us navigate the layout of Myrtle Beach. We came here on a quick bday celebration for y husband and it was a great experience for the 2 nights we stayed. You aren't paying for the new paint job you're paying an appropriate price for a beach front hotel. Everyone was really nice. the rooms could definitely be fixed but its a great deal.

Disgusting place. Definitely not family friendly. The owner did attempt to make it right by putting us in a different room but honestly this place needs to be condemned. Roaches and drugs infest this place. My CHILD found drugs in one of the drawers. Most of the doors don’t lock. It’s just a hazard all around and I am SHOCKED code enforcement has not shut this place down. It’s quite literally like the Wild West, getting a towels, toilet paper, rags are a no go here.
Heather B — Google review
Went on the 5th of July, the room was about 215. I knew it wasn’t going to be a nice hotel room per se but I was shocked when I saw the state of the room. Dirt and hair all over the floor like they hadn’t swept in months, the bathroom was even worse—hair in the tub, no towels. The furniture was out of place when we got there and we had to move it back. Funniest part was the leak in the ceiling, it leaked the entire time it rained. I don’t even think they wash the sheets here to be honest, considering there was a hair in my bed. Had to call to ask for a towel and it took 20 minutes for them to bring them. Pool has max 6 chairs out there, but it’s still usable. Walk to the beach is the only benefit. Save your money and spend a little more on la Quinta or something.

Absolutely terrible. Don’t waste your money here for vacation. Me and my family arrived at the hotel, got checked into our room just to find it and the residence itself in bad conditions. The room we were given had no basic necessities, smelled like tobacco, the beds and couch were dirty, no lights and the tv worked, the door would not close after entering, and there were a good amount of people on the first floor smoking, some possibly even living there but leaving their stuff scattered everywhere. The top lock installed wasn’t even there, leaving us with no security at all. We had to leave and make another hotel reservation but the customer service we had was also horrible. The front desk lady had an attitude and acted unwilling to try and help with approving our cancellation once our booking site handled everything.

Worst place I have EVER stayed!!! Please, please don't waste your money. Junkies EVERYWHERE!!! Even the ones who work there. Room was filthy!!! Not to mention how terrible the owner is!!! He purposely invaded my privacy. Tried to come into the room to demand $300 more when I was not properly dressed 3 days into my paid for week!!!

I wish I could give a 0 star review to the hotel itself. I should have listened to the reviews and gone somewhere else. It was completely disgusting, there were a pair of men’s underwear in the night stand drawer and when I told her manager he said “must have not been clean from the previous guest” and seemed unfazed and did not do anything about it. There were cockroaches crawling every where, holes all over the walls, and unrecognizable stains in everything. 0/10, would not recommend
Emma T — Google review
This place is not why you see online, it’s the totally opposite. When I open the door of the room, there was more than 20 cockroaches scattering around, the bathtub was filthy. Had a ring a grease all the way around it, it was nasty, the bed bedsheets were torn. The room smelled like Clorox and cigarettes. The worst experience I’ve ever had. The online pictures that they advertise, Do not look nothing like the hotel it’s not the reality, what they advertise online is not what you get when you get to the hotel. this place should be shut down.
Santos A — Google review
Very bad service the dirty rooms, there was cigar ash on the floor, they had a bad smell, the stairs dirty with cigarette butts everywhere, we wanted to use the elevator and oh! For God's sape, you couldn't even breathe the ugly smell that there was.. the price is good because of the hubicacion where the hotel is, but the service is terrible. It's as if I had stayed to sleep on the street.. I wish the owners paid a little more attention to their service, especially the cleaning...

Nestled in a prime North Myrtle Beach oceanfront location, the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort offers understated accommodations with contemporary furnishings and fantastic views. The resort underwent a $20 million renovation in 2020, resulting in shiny, new upgraded facilities. Families are drawn to the multiple pools and Splash! Waterpark, while the spa and fitness facility at Spa33 and 78Fitness offer relaxation and wellness options.
This was a last minute stay for us and it was perfect. Resort staff were friendly and check in/out was easy. We opted for the $25 valet over the $20 park yourself and was also easy in/out. We were on the 7th floor and had the best view of the water. Coffee in the morning was additional and tasty! I considered a second. Grounds are beautiful and clean. Would love to plan a trip to stay for a few day to really enjoy the property.

It’s old. My AC needed to be reset 3 times in 3 days. The batteries on my door lock died. After going down twice to get my keys activated it was co clouded it’s not the keys. The service repair dept is very nice and attentive. The daily cleaning was not thorough, they do not wipe the bathroom down at all just replace towels. The view was nice and all their rooms have ocean views. We were there for a convention and there was a storm passing for a few days. So no outdoors.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a seamless check-in process. The staff was courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist, setting the tone for a truly delightful stay. I had booked a two queen bedroom, and I was thoroughly impressed with the accommodations. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed to provide maximum comfort. The beds were incredibly cozy, ensuring restful nights after long days of exploring the beach and surrounding areas. The amenities provided in the room added to the overall convenience, making it feel like a home away from home. One of the standout features of my stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking view. Waking up to the sight of the sun rising over the sparkling ocean was a magical experience. The balcony provided the perfect spot to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning or unwind with a cool drink in the evening, soaking in the serene beauty of Myrtle Beach. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with a range of facilities that cater to both relaxation and recreation. The pool area was pristine, offering a refreshing escape from the summer heat. The on-site dining options were excellent, providing delicious meals and a diverse menu that satisfied all our cravings without having to leave the comfort of the resort. Overall, my stay at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort was outstanding, and I wholeheartedly give it a five-star rating. The combination of fantastic service, comfortable accommodations, and stunning views made for an unforgettable vacation. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway at Myrtle Beach. I can’t wait to return for another incredible experience!

Spent 2 days and one night. The facility was excellent. Everyone was extremely helpful. We had a great time! Only thing we had an issue with was there was a nasal strip stuck on the head board... It wasn't one of those hidden things it was behind the pillow about 18" above the mattress. I moved the pillow and there it was!!! The front desk folks were great everyone we had contact with were great. I just can't give 5 stars with something that obvious.
Butch D — Google review
Pretty nice place to stay. If you have an outside room you may very well get some gnats even though the room is clean prior to your arrival. Bellmen and front desk staff were great and friendly. Shuttle service is nice to have but a breakdown in communication had us waiting 45 minutes for a ride back to the hotel. Valet is offered at $25 a night which is great if you don’t want to walk. Parking garage is close by so if you want to get some steps in that’ll work just fine. Breakfast is offered but not included in your room price. I can see myself staying here again if we go on a vacation.

This was such a beautiful resort with many amenities and the walk to the beach from the pool deck was a plus! It was very clean, smelled good, staff extremely attentive and responded quickly to any requests or questions. Two pools on site and others available via shuttle. They all had warm towels readily available with live DJ and entertainment. Food was delicious. Drinks were delishhh. Vibes were always good.

I came here for a work conference and truly enjoyed my time. While the hotel is a little run down and out dated, it was clean and in a spectacular location with beautiful ocean front views. The staff were super kind and helpful and overall I had a relaxing stay. I would stay here again.
Falisha R — Google review
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with how this entire situation has been handled. On our recent stay, the shuttle driver failed to properly secure my dad’s wheelchair before driving — and then drove like a maniac. This caused my dad to slide across the back of the bus, nearly tipping over, and his wheelchair wheel broke as a result. To make matters worse, the resort had no replacement wheelchairs available — one was “broken” and the other was reportedly “stolen.” So, on our very first night, we had no way to get my dad around for the rest of our vacation. I had to locate and purchase a wheelchair from CVS and have it delivered via DoorDash at 10:30pm just to salvage the trip. The staff treated the whole incident as if it was nothing. My Hilton Sales Executive (who booked our stay) was furious and assured me that Hilton would take care of this. When checking out, I spoke to the manager, who said the issue would be referred to Kingston Resorts’ Safety Director, Leanne. They took my name and number and said she’d call me Tuesday. She never called. I called Wednesday and left a voicemail — no response. I’ve now called three more times today and have been transferred to three different voicemails. Still no progress. This entire experience has been beyond aggravating, and the complete lack of follow-up or accountability from the resort is unacceptable. I expected far better from a Hilton property. We will definitely not be returning to this location again.

North Shore Oceanfront Resort & Conference Center is a laid-back hotel with two pools, three restaurants, and complimentary access to a waterpark. The resort offers an array of activities for kids, including an onsite water park, Family Funzone Arcade, and indoor mini-golf course. Guests can unwind in comfortable rooms with private balconies overlooking the ocean. The outdoor waterpark is one of the largest in Myrtle Beach, featuring numerous slides, pools, a lazy river, and more.
My only complaints were our floors were not clean and had toenail clippings in the bathroom and around the bed. The floors also needed to be mopped there was a broom in our room so that was helpful and some towels were also not clean. The front desk staff was extremely nice and did offer to move us to another room, but we had already unpacked so we decided just to stay where we were definitely a reasonably price hotel. Mini golf and arcade was very nice. Our room was an ocean front room wonderful view. We will be staying here again in the future.

There is a 24/7 self checkout snack bar near registration. Super convenient, I really didn’t enjoy the cleanliness of this hotel. My floors in my room were dirty from the moment I walked in until I left. There was a broom and dust pan in my room. I couldn’t stand it and swept the floors because all I did was keep wiping dirt and grime off my feet from just the floor within the first hour of being in my room. The indoor pool closest to the registration was disgusting and dirty, the water was dark and murky looking. The upstairs pool in the building with the beachfront restaurant where we had breakfast was clean and tolerable. I would go again if I had to for the price and access to the beach we had and the kid friendly outside swimming but due to the cleanliness I would expect better. The staff were friendly and very informative and helpful. The beachfront restaurant was good. Breakfast Buffet was delicious the first day the owner and female waitresses are very nice and attentive. They do have a young guy who served us our last day there and he made us super uncomfortable standing at the desk watching us eat and handed us our bill before we even sat to eat out breakfast. Eggs were cold and gross the second day. I’m not sure if they were cooked wrong or not long enough or whatever the case may be but we were not impressed our last day there.

Stayed for 3 days, it was out first time staying here, location is beautiful and front desk staff was pleasant!! The amenities that the hotel offers is amazing and lots of fun, especially for families with kids! My 9 year old really enjoyed having the options to go to the different pools (outdoor, indoor, or water park). Salt & Like restaurant was really good. I will say, rooms are comfortable for the night. Yes, they are a little outdated and can use some upgrading (shower curtains are moldy, there is only hot water for shower, toilet needs a couple of minutes in between for flushing). You do have to pay extra due for any type of room service, however if you’re staying for a couple of nights it’s no biggie. Overall, i enjoyed my stay.

This is a great location with many things to do for kids on the property. Short drive to other attractions in the area. The pools were clean and the waterpark, arcades and putt putt were great! The staff was nice as well. My only complaint would be the cleanliness of the room. The restaurant salt and lime was the best!

I was a little nervous about our trip when we read the reviews. We just got back from our vacation and honestly I can say that it was excellent. We were supposed to have an ocean view room but upon arrival they moved us to oceanfront which overlooked the beach and the pool outside. The rooms were great, cool air and upgraded. The outside appearance was a little older but it wasn't bad at all. They allowed us to bring our 2 service dogs with no issues. TV did not work when we got there and they came quickly and resolved the problem. The pool area was great, they kept it very clean. They also have live music and games for the kids everyday from 1-3 which was wonderful. Felt like we were on a tropical island. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning. Great experience and great customer service!!!

I spent 2 days there. When checking in, the clerk was very rude. Didn't give any information. Handed us a map and a parking pass and room keys and walked away. The window in my room was dirty (room with a view). The pic is me hanging out window.. The next day, they did fix our room. Put us in a different room better view. But we felt very out of place every time we asked a question .. On day 3, I came down to book 2 more nights and quoted me double for what I had paid for the first 2 nights. We went on weekdays, not the weekend. We checked out and went down 50 blocks. Was much closer to the board walk and still at an equal resort. Customer service is very important to my family.
Rebbecca D — Google review
I am writing to express my disappointment with our stay at this hotel. We booked a room with an ocean view for an additional fee, based on the photos displayed on the website. However, upon arrival, we discovered that our room actually overlooks a road, not the ocean as we expected. We immediately brought this to the staff’s attention, but were told that, despite our dissatisfaction, we can still “see the ocean,” even though it’s just a small glimpse — and we were denied a room change. This level of service does not meet the standards we expected from a hotel of this category. Additionally, the photos shown on the website are quite misleading and do not accurately reflect the actual conditions, which added to our disappointment. We also indicated during the booking that there would be four guests staying in the room, but upon arrival, we found only two cups, two shampoos, two sugar packets, and everything else prepared for just two people. On top of that, the toilet in our room was not working properly. The website also mentioned that the hotel has plenty of parking, but this turned out to be inaccurate — parking is extremely limited, and in reality, there were barely any spots available. On a positive note, we appreciated the large number of pools and jacuzzis, both indoor and outdoor, as well as the variety of entertainment options and the convenient direct access to the beach. These features gave the place a true resort feel, and we are genuinely grateful for that.
Olesia A — Google review
The Resort was pretty old and dirty with cockroaches roaming about. The room we had was sparsely furnished. The beds were uncomfortable to the point of causing a sciatica episode that worsened with every night. The bathroom reeked of sewage. The staff was pleasant enough to deal with but simply would not accommodate even minor request. Once we received our room is the first time I noticed a small note stapled to our room key packet that stated "This is a limited service facility. No One will enter your room during your stay. If you require supplies then call the front desk and request and it will be sent to you. If it is after hours then you must go to the front desk to receive supplies." During our stay (one week) I called the front desk five times to request supplies. Only one of those times did anyone comply with the request. The other four times I had to go to the front desk myself to retrieve these supplies even during normal business hours. The one plus I will give this facility is that the amenities are pretty good for children. My kids had a lot of fun at their water park and arcade with mini golf. Also, it wasn't a bad value for the money. But my family will not return here. Oh, and Marijuana smoke filled the air at all hours of the day and night. I don't mind it so much myself but I don't want my kids exposed to it.

They wouldn't give us late checkout and I wondered because parking decks were empty? Also room was great but the breakfast , free at least, out of 4 days, all but 1, was mediocre at best. I believe they could have tried better to do some simple things to improve it. I wondered why the best breakfast was on a Monday rather than Saturday or Sunday.

Wow, I just had the best time at a place with amazing outdoor seating right by the ocean in Myrtle Beach! The views were absolutely stunning, and I could have stayed there all night. Plus, the service was incredible, with the sweetest server named Shanaiya. She was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed – such a wonderful person. Home run! Lunch on a weekday with a great ocean view! Fast, friendly service. Cute atmosphere. The food though....phenomenal. the lobster rolls were wonderful and the fish and chips was the best I've had and I'm from New England. Just crispy outside and flaky inside with a perfect seasoning. Highly recommend these dishes.

RipTydz in Myrtle Beach has a nice oceanfront location right on the boardwalk, with great views from its large multi-level setup. The place is spacious, but if you’re going with a big group, be prepared for a long wait—reservations are highly recommended. They have a good seafood-focused menu; I enjoyed the fried calamari and lobster rolls. Prices are average for a beachfront spot. However, the restaurant was very hot during our visit—only the second floor has air conditioning, and the fans on the other levels just aren’t enough. Service also fell short—one of our group’s meals was forgotten, and they had to wait an extra 15 minutes with no apology or acknowledgment from the staff. Overall, just an average experience despite the great setting.

We went because Google said it was a good place to watch the sunset. Wrong! Do not go here expecting to see any sort of views of the sunset. The food was OK and service was good but they take your card as soon as you are seated before brining you anything. Then they automatically add 15% service fee (tip) on all tabs. It's crazy windy on the roof, do not go looking cute with your hair down. Put your hair up if you plan on eating food without your hair blowing in your face. And you won't be able to see what you're eating anyway. They have string lights but you'll want to use your flashlight to see the menu or what's on your plate. Do not order Mega Mason drinks, they are so big that there is no alcohol at all. You'll also be charged extra to have your photo taken or get a balloon animal. Steamers are plenty of food for 2 people. But they won't tell you that. We had a good time but won't go back. $250 dinner for 2 is NOT worth it!

Excellent place to eat! My husband and I sat in the covered patio where we got to enjoy the beautiful view. Our server was AMAZING! 1st time eating there and definitely had a good time. We got the out table but it was a little cool outside so we went back in. Everyone was very helpful and polite. Nice view for the time we did spend outside. I got the frozen pineapple pina colada, it leaked a little but if i drank too fast I'd have a brain freeze. Still good though. The chicken eggrolls were amazing. The pub chips were ok. My family really like the wonton. The bacon mac n cheese was ok. The fried chicken tasted good. Fries were on point. Cool place to eat and enjoy view. Food was alright.

We love the Dayton House. This was our fourth time staying at the resort. Check-in was easy, and the staff was friendly. Our room wasn't quite ready upon arrival (we got in around 1:00), but it didn't take long for them to send us a message to let us know they had it ready. The room was clean, stocked, and smelled good. The shower had good pressure, and the beds/pillows were comfortable. The efficiency kitchen had essential supplies to cook meals. We did use the stove top but not the oven. We spent most of our time at the pool. They were plenty of places to set up next to the pool and even outside on the grassy area with the yellow umbrellas. We did bring most of our own food and drinks, but the couple times we got drinks and food at the bar, we thought it was reasonably priced with decent portions. Overall, we love the Dayton House because of the variety of room types you can get, the walk-in pool, grassy sitting area, and proximity to the ocean. We will definitely be back!

A Very Pleasant Stay at the Dayton Hotel! My recent stay at the Dayton Hotel was largely a fantastic experience, and I'd happily recommend it. The front desk staff were genuinely nice, which set a positive tone for our arrival. My only minor suggestion for improvement would be a more thorough explanation of the amenities and clearer directions to our building during check-in. However, I did notice other staff members providing this detailed information to other guests, so I know it's something that typically gets done. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the staff in the breakfast room were truly fabulous – they really went above and beyond! A special shout-out to Steve and the manager, who were our absolute favorites throughout our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. While a fresh coat of paint might brighten things up a bit, if that's the worst issue, I'll gladly take it! The bartenders were also incredibly sweet, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed the great pools, and it was a huge plus to have the beach so close. The availability of public rentals for umbrellas and chairs right there was very convenient. The only minor downside was that the AC in our room could have worked a little bit better. Overall, the positives far outweighed any minor issues. The wonderful staff, delicious breakfast, great amenities, and convenient location made for a very pleasant and memorable stay. We look forward to returning!

I loved staying in the Dayton House, with it's characteristic yellow umbrellas and walk up pool and lazy river. The fitness room is well stocked and the free breakfast hits the spot (very solid coffee ☕). It's a short walk to everything and not loudly in the thick of it all either. The beach is perfect, the waves gently foam and luxuriate you on your feet as the sand is soft and firm. The rooms are nice, comfortable, and stocked with many amenities for a nice stay at the beach

The room was nothing fancy but it was clean and you have access to all the buildings and pools. There is a separate building for breakfast and it is a buffet that is served to you it offered fruit pancakes yogurt fresh fruit bacon juice coffee and you can make your own waffle. It was fine nothing to brag about however the service was great everyone was so friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Unfortunately there's not much good l can say about it. Outdated building with the cheap basic rooms, many with the bedroom window to the walkway from the elevator. Our corner suite had only outside windows. Cheap bathroom, good Queen bed, flat TV we never used, full kitchen. Outside parking across the street. Closed road for construction between our building and office and other buildings. Service consist of replacing dirty towels only. Hotel was quiet because most of the rooms were empty. Free hot delicious breakfast also across the street 300 ' - soo limited and not tasty at all, except for the coffee and juice. I had better breakfast in some motels. Plenty of lounges and chairs. Short walk to the beach. Pool, lazy river and jacuzzi downstairs. But no showers and restrooms by the our pool. We choose this place because our friends we want to meet are staying there. Definitely would not recommend it for a stay.

Great place to stay, read a lot of reviews that made me nervous before staying here. Only downside is the DJ playing loud music at times during the day, but it didn't really bother us. Good ocean view in the middle building, directly above the pool though so we didn't spend much time on the balcony. Bit of a walk from the popular bars, but it's still a great value.

Sands Ocean Club Resort is a laid-back oceanfront hotel located in the desirable Shore Drive section of Myrtle Beach. It features the popular Ocean Annies Oceanfront Bar, offering live entertainment and refreshing drinks. The resort provides free or discounted tickets to local attractions and complimentary golf at Diamondback Golf Course.
Loved the peace and serenity at this place. The staff was very friendly. Service to rooms could be some better. Phone did not work in room. Called for service that was not given. The ocean view was awesome. All in all, everything was satisfactory. I will stay here again.

Not clean at all very dirty!! The room smelled so bad like mold and swamp and filth that I could hardly sleep at night from the harsh penetrating smell I will never forget. Plus the humidity made it way worse. There was blood smeared on the bathroom garbage bin. The sofa chair and table chairs were so filthy and stained I didn’t dare sit on them. The carpet was disgusting I had to use shoes anytime walking around only one outlet worked in the whole room the light switch right next to the entry door didn’t work so I had to walk to the other end of the room in the dark to turn on another switch. The room was just a dump and the filthiest place I’ve ever stayed in. I went out and bought Clorox wipes and Lysol to disinfect the main appliances I would dare use. I hated being in the room at all so I would stay out as much as possible before walking in the room and getting slapped in the face with the moldy musty smell. The bathroom smelled like urine. Everything is outdated the table chairs are so unstable and wobbly that I couldn’t sit on them even if I wanted to. The elevator is a total nuisance 25+ minutes wait each time elevators with no A/C Everybody uses the same elevators guests, maintenance, cleaning people, concierge helping people with the large luggage carts etc… One out of 3 elevators was broken during my entire stay. The elevators are jammed packed when you can finally get in one. I booked for ocean front upon arrival and check-in time of 4 I was told my room was unavailable it took 30 minutes to find me another room which then was down graded to a partial ocean view with no charge adjustment or refund. Parking is also a nightmare and the parking garage elevator is useless it never comes. The stairs smell like urine and everything about the garage felt very unsafe. The staff was friendly throughout the visit except for a bartender at the ocean Annie’s bar who was very rude, unhelpful and dismissive when I asked if he had any mixed drinks with just tequila he very rudely and condescending said “no do you want a tequila shot” and laughed as he looked aggravated. I then went with another bartender instead an older gentleman and asked him for a margarita (which only has tequila by the way) he was kind and delivered good service. Overall I wouldn’t suggest this resort at all and would suggest looking at reviews and booking accordingly.

Location is great most of the staff is nice but they have ROACHES not just one or two but the whole damn family and the in-laws ... when we complained they gave us a can of spray and said they were booked we could leave or they would comp us for the night and move us the next day. Next day we were told to either deal with it or leave basically cause they were booked rest of weekend or we could get a refund. They did send maintenance up who sprayed which caused me to get sick ... we bought food to cook asked them about breakfast said would give 2 free meal passes even though we had 4 in our room. Just avoid staying there unless you want extra roommates. Otherwise the room was nice .

Rooms weren't real clean. Asked for a broom & never got one. Staff was friendly & helpful. Outside pool & bar area were great. Restaurants were good as well. Rooms needed repairs & updates & cleaning. First time we ever had to put linens on bed upon arrival. Would stay again just for location.
Debbie V — Google review
Dirty, falling apart, won’t dare take a bath in the tub ( tried to clean out a bunch of gunk and hair and gave up ), floors are filthy ( we ate throwing our socks away ), walls and doors are marked up, not comfortable enough to trust the cleanliness of the couch, the floors and closets and tubs weren’t even cleaned, I cut my foot on the steel raised piece going to balcony ( no warning), missing key items in kitchen, room is supposed to be non smoking and it reeked of smoke-when we asked about it they sent someone up that “sprayed”- seriously??? Also, I am allergic to smoke. The last time we stayed our room had mold at vents and they did nothing about it. The time before that we stayed we asked to change rooms because there were roaches in our room. They did give us another room but acted like the roaches were no big deal. Our mattresses are touching the floor. The two phones in our room are caked with crud that I wouldn’t dare put up to my ear. Ridiculous. So much more that is gross and not acceptable for a hotel/resort. Even if they were cheap it wouldn’t be acceptable. One of the servers at ocean Annie’s is consistently rude and nasty- like we are bothering her. The table rental system is a complete joke. Most of the other staff there are kind and courteous- enjoy them. That said—- the guys that clean the pool and deck of ocean Annie’s do a great job! They work hard all hours and should be commended.
Julie M — Google review
Way outdated the bathrooms on the main level smell like urine the carpet runners are torn and worn pretty badly. The deck around the outside should have been replaced 10 yrs ago. This must have been the place to be in the 90's however time to update folks. I dont understand why its so hard to get into this place. Much nicer places available in a better neighborhood. Take your time and look around
John E — Google review
Start off by saying the guys at the front were very nice opening doors and directing us to our room. The location was good having easy beach access but that’s where it stops with anything good Parking was a pain going in circles in the parking deck to just to have exit and start over again because there was no availability. Now to the room itself. AWFUL the room was filthy it has mold on the bed liner. The bathrooms had hair in the toilet that took 3 flushes for it to go down the drain. The sink in the bathroom also had hair in it. Dirt and grime behind the bathroom door where it hasn’t been clean in who knows how long. The trash can has some kind of brown/black stains on the side and splashed all down the wall behind it. After taking the trash out the bottom of the trash can has a smelly black fungus in the bottom. The main floors in the room were very gritty from the sand not being swept up before we arrived. Will not be staying here again or recommended anyone to stay. Very bad experience.

What an amazing 4 days I had the room was beautiful the view spectacular. Thee was three very special women I want to say thanks for treating me so special. Laura who checked me in and I left my keys in the room the first night, her professionalism and nurturing can do spirit was everything. Terry $ Jenna who were there when I checked out, and was I instrumental in getting my cosmetic bag with all my medications was the best experience. They made sure I got it back. I’m looking forward to our girls trip soon. I live this spot. I’m looking forward to coming back.

Pros: The location was great because it was right by the beach. That's the reason for the 3-stars or it would be lower. It was also walking distance to attractions and restaurants. The pools were nice and it was a family friendly environment. Some of the staff were friendly, and it has a kitchenette with standard sized fridge and stove. 2 stars for service because some of the staff were friendly and the room was equipped with cooking supplies and dishes to use even though we didn't use them. Cons: The hotel room and the balcony were dirty, the furniture was broken, and some of the lights in the room were not working. It took the maintenance man hours to fix it (which never ended up working out), impeding on our time, and the hotel did not make it up to us in any way. Again, we lost precious time during our vacation. We couldn't snuggle in bed or do anything else we wanted to do that evening. In addition, there was no housekeeping. You can only have towels or other supplies brought to you within certain hours because the office closes at a certain time so if you need anything after they close or if there is an emergency, you're on your own. (I mostly took videos. The attached picture was after I cleaned some of the dirt off of the side of the fridge. The picture does not do justice to showing how dirty it was.)

The room was great along with the location. We booked through Vacasa and to say their service was bad would be an understatement. There was an issue with every device that was using batteries. No fresh towels, no pool towels , you had to take out your own trash, you had to change your own sheets for a weeks stay and they wanted you to do your own laundry. Do you call that good service or a good vacation ?
Raymond S — Google review
Very nice place but the parking garage is way too tight. Only negative thing I could say is they were not truthful in their explanation of the deposit. They stated it would be held on pending and at checkout would be released. However, it is definitely deducted and you have to keep track of if it’s deposited back to your account. In most cases I think it takes 5-10 days. I hate having to keep up with that and they told me it would automatically be released and it wasn’t. One other thing is that the vending machine charges $5 per transaction. It says $2. They told me it would “even out” through my bank but it never did! $5 for a snack is too much! And I don’t like being blatantly lied to either. Or maybe it’s just me. Otherwise it was a nice place with pretty decent amenities.
Virginia M — Google review
ROOM 205 ...The king mattress has seen better days...highly recommend a new one! The rugs in the bedrooms are in need of a upgrade. Lots of TLC needed and a fresh coat of paint. Pools are nice, however recommend wearing water shoes. The location is perfect, right near lots of attractions within walking distance. We truly enjoyed our vacation.
Donna R — Google review
The staff were friendly and listened to our complaints and the hotel was in a very convenient location. However the room was in pretty rough condition. The plumbing fixtures were loose and not sealed to the walls. The carpet was torn up and stained, all the mattresses had significant stains, as well as the couch and chair cushions. The kitchen tiles were broken and there were several holes in the drywall. That’s just the worst of it, overall it’s not the worst hotel we have used, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and won’t be using it again.
Donald O — Google review
Love that it was by the ocean. And the fact that the rooms and the car garage was attached to the hotel, so the car stayed right outside of your room no matter what floor you are on. But the room was lacking in a lot of ways. From giving us a double bed instead of a more romantic single, to no light bulbs in the fixtures , to the remotes had no batteries & when we got batteries they didn't even work the TV! To the lack of dishes in the "fully furnished" kitchen to the leaking bathroom sink. But that view was breathtaking. Not to mention they had 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, a kiddie pool and a lazy river. It was neat, just could use better upkeep.
BRANDI — Google review
Bed was very comfortable. It had a perfect view of the ocean. Room smelled. Hideous furniture. The couch looked like they got it off the street. Mold in the bathroom. They also didn’t have beach towels or chairs. They try to nickel and dime you. Check out is crazy early at 10am. The charge extra if you check out 30 minutes after 10. A hotel would have been better.

Nestled in Myrtle Beach, Island Vista Resort stands out as the sole oceanfront hotel for nearly a mile in each direction, offering a rare sense of seclusion. The resort boasts 171 rooms with spacious suites ranging from one to four bedrooms, all adorned with a soothing Tropical British West Indies style. Guests can indulge in various spa services at the Oceanfront Cabana and unwind in the lazy river before retiring to their quarters.
We love Island Vista Resort! We found them last year from a friend’s referral and have been delighted with all aspects of our stay. We loved our short stay here last year so much that we booked a larger one bedroom suite this year for double the time. The staff is personable, helpful, and very professional. Our room was immaculate both times and the property is unbelievably gorgeous. Pools are kept impeccable and the ambience is better than any other hotel on this strand. We will keep coming out here every year because the experience is five stars from start to finish.

Rooms are personalized as they are privately owned. The ones we have stayed in have been very nice and they have been clean. The pool area is good for families as well as adults. The restaurant is good and has great pizza. This is a great place to stay especially if you don’t want to have to go off-property to eat.

Had a wonderful time at Island Vista. Rooms were large, clean, well equipped (stayed in a 4 bedroom suite), and serviced timely each day. All pool areas were well maintained with a lot of visible security and staff. The pools were very busy but never felt overcrowded. Easy access to the beach which was also well maintained and pretty quiet overall, never too crowded. You are no more than 15 minutes from all the main tourist traps. All staff was friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay if you're headed to Myrtle Beach and has something for all ages. Highly recommend!

This is a great Location and the staff was very friendly and helpful when we had a question or needed assistance. We really love staying here, it's so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the patio eating breakfast every morning and looking at & listening to the ocean. The back of this resort is so pretty and inviting. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The bathrooms are spacious & u have room to move around in the bathrooms. Lol This is a really nice place.

If I could give more stars for this review, I would! This was by far the best resort I have stayed at in all of MB! Super clean room and resort in general, and all the staff were so nice and friendly. They made it so much more difficult to leave. The staff at the Cypress Room all made us feel like family. This was such a pleasant experience for us. We WILL be returning next summer!

We really enjoyed our off-season stay at Island Vista. The kids loved the indoor pools and lazy river. The Cypress Room was great for breakfast and felt fancy without being stuffy, with decent prices for the early breakfast (before 8:30). Would love to stay here again!

On my way to a wedding, I decided to stay beachside in North Myrtle- beautiful setting, horrible rainy weather, oh well! After a not- so -great interaction with the parking lot attendant ( I inquired if there was valet parking available, he growled a reply of you need to park your own car- Ok!) , the front desk staff were welcoming, the room was clean while the bathrooms could use an update, the view was spectacular. I dined at the restaurant in the hotel - gorgeous setting on the beach, friendly and attentive staff and well- prepared food.

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade is a lively mile-long wooden walkway that runs along the waterfront, offering visitors a plethora of attractions. From seafood restaurants to amusement park rides, this oceanfront destination has something for everyone. You can take a ride on the SkyWheel, one of the largest Ferris wheels on the East Coast, or enjoy dining with a view at beachfront restaurants like Jimmy Buffett's LandShark.
Loved it! There's food, drinks/ adult beverage spots, entertainment, candy and sweet frozen treats, stores, restraunts, art, arcades, Ripley's Believe It Or Not!... etc. Beautiful views, couldn't get enough so I posted everything I captured during my visit on this first layover in MYR. Can't wait for my next trip back, hopefully sooner than later 🙏🏽

Pretty underwhelming to be honest. Very small boardwalk strip with shops/restaraunts/bars (2 blocks x 2 blocks). Ferris wheel looked cool but also $20 per ride - not worth it. The pier was cool and had good views. It’s fine, but just don’t get your hopes up too much.

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is a fantastic place to spend time, offering a lively and fun atmosphere for all ages. Stretching along the oceanfront, it’s filled with plenty of shops and restaurants, making it easy to enjoy good food, find souvenirs, and explore local treats. The vibe is energetic yet relaxed, perfect for a casual stroll by the beach. One of the highlights is the many photo booths along the way, which add a fun touch for capturing memories with family and friends. Whether day or night, the Boardwalk is a must-visit spot to truly enjoy Myrtle Beach.

Tons of stuff to do. Lots of restaurants and bars, some with outdoor seating. The boardwalk is nice as well. People around here are very friendly. Nice place to take a stroll. Sky wheel was very cool. A little over priced but it’s a beach side attraction so to be expected.

The kids loved it, nice kiddie pool area and lazy river for the little ones. They could add a few more activites for the smaller children, but over all A+, nice and clean.

Laura B — Google review
My son had a fantastic time here! We also brought our nephew who is a little younger here as well... he didn't have as much fun. He's only two and I think having to do so much walking to get from one attraction to the next just wore him out and wasn't entertaining for him. But my four-year-old had a ball so I guess the cup is only half empty. I would come back with my son and maybe some of my older nieces and nephews.
Soraya R — Google review
Prices were horrible. No child discounts so my 3 year old was 20.00 full price just like the adults. Only 3 different types of slides for older kids. No pool. No snack bar area to sit. Not enough shade at all. 2 umbrellas in the entire park. Very small waterpark for the price. The kiddie areas were nice and clean with little slides that were fun for them. There was a tiny lazy River. Lifeguards are everywhere!!! They all have Russian accents... Just like all the seafood restaurants. Save your time and go to Myrtle Waves if you want a bigger park. I would consider returning to this one in the future since it was clean.
J M — Google review
We went on a Monday. My wife and I had an amazing time, there was no lines this particular day and we were able to ride the slides nonstop all day! They were fast and the 'blackout' slide was actually dark and was alot of fun!
Miles H — Google review
We only paid $9.95 since we added it to the amusement park price so it wasn’t too bad. Slides were fun, selection of rides was good for the size of the park. Nice view next to the ocean. It was a fun afternoon.
Em K — Google review
Would be good with kids - there are not 3 pools as advertised. The “pools” are 1 ft deep kiddie pools. Staff is not friendly. Lifeguards were playing on their phones at top of waterslides paying no attention.
Brent K — Google review
This just as the "amusement park" is over priced! Really need to add a wave🏄🏽‍♀️🏊🏽‍♀️🤽🏽‍♀️ pool & others slides for an older crowd. Nothing really for teens-adults to do besides 2 slides. Little ones 5 & under will definitely have a blast. Arcade needs to have an attendant my son put a dollar worth in a machine & still couldn't play then we was told go to the office & nobody there could help!🤦🏽‍♀️ Steps need to have a railing pretty slippery!

Wahoo Water Park, located at Sea Mist Myrtle Beach Resorts, offers a fun-filled experience for both hotel guests and daily visitors. The park features a large lazy river, great music playing through speakers, and various attractions such as a wading pool with a tube slide and rain tree. Visitors can enjoy the 3-story high tubular slide and spend quality time in the water.
The water park was clean and close to our hotel room. We walked to it every day. We enjoyed the waterslides and lazy river. Only negative thing was the concrete was so hot we had to walk fast. They need to have longer hours open. They close at 6pm. It would've been great if they had adult only evenings open. We are looking forward to returning in May 2022.
Crystal E — Google review
Positives : girl at front desk was pleasant. The water slide is ok but only when they don't have it shut down for 2 1/2 hours for "lunch". Negatives : the sides of the pool/river was dirty and there was trash floating in the water and when we asked about it they said their skimmer was broken. Lazy river was sadly underrated, nothing was really pushing the water around, and there was nothing giving a refreshing spray or waterfall. The whole park is only open from 10 to 545. The drink bar that wahoo radio says is the best around is no longer open. We had to pay 5 dollars for a locker. This place is really sad and you will be disappointed. I can only give it 1 star since they don't have negative numbers on this scale. We stayed at this resort for 4 days and the rest of my review will be on the sea mist Resort. I cannot recommend any of it.
Wesley C — Google review
Excellent water park. Huge Lazy River. Great music with speakers located throughout. The entrance to this water park is on the corner of 13th Avenue South and Ocean Boulevard. The park covers almost an entire Myrtle Beach city block of the Boulevard. It is right next to the Sea Mist 5-level parking deck. Wading Pool for kids with a tube slide and rain tree and swing. 3-story high toubular Slide. There is a minimal admission charge of $3.00 per person per day those who did not Book Directly with Sea Mist.
Daniel Q — Google review
This place used to be nice. Now just like sea mist it is sad and disgusting. The kids slide hasn’t been open for years. They say they don’t have the staff but all the life guards do are sit on their phones or talk to each other. I sure wouldn’t leave my child unattended there. False advertisement also since half the stuff in the photos has been tore down or not open.

Nestled along the stunning coastline of Myrtle Beach, the Caravelle Resort stands out as a premier oceanfront destination just moments from the lively Boardwalk. This beautifully renovated resort features nine well-designed buildings, offering guests a variety of accommodations that include cozy beds, flat-screen TVs, and fully equipped kitchens. Some suites even boast separate living areas with sleeper sofas and private balconies for added comfort.
One of the nicest places there is to stay at in Myrtle Beach great people great works awesome amnemities.Greatest breakfast buffet in Myrtle Omelettes are unbelievably awesome

Pros: Great amount of things to do for families if you stay in the main building. Plenty of pools and hot tubs to go around. Then there are extras like hammocks over looking the ocean from the 7th floor, game room and beach access. Loved the breakfast choices but would suggest maybe alternating options at least 2x a week to include different options. Great value for all we had access to. Cons: Biggest con was there was a live mouse/rat under the sink and others in the ceiling of our unit on the 1st floor. We heard them in the wee hrs of the morning and thought nothing of it until later that evening my 3yr went to throw away something and returned fearful saying there was a mouse in the cabinet. She was right. Matinence was called it was handle and we were upgraded to a 12th floor suite which was great. I will say it wasnt like I expected this or felt like this is a problem this resort has on a regular basis so I still gave it a 4 (3.5 not an option). Due to the construction and hurricane florence I was told by a local that it has been a newer issue alot of home owners and businesses have experienced. The rooms are very nice clean and beds are comfortable otherwise. The halls and common areas especially the gym and elevators(🐌) could use some updating for sure but over all decent. The only other thing is their staffing is terrible. My biggest issue everything took forever from check in to waiting for someone to answer the phones to getting my new keys delivered during our incident right down to breakfast. It took litterally 30min in the waffle and omlette line because the lady had no one to help her and she had to leave a line of about 15 ppl for about 12min to make waffle batter. I had to tell the person stocking the buffet that he was missing scrambled eggs and he diddnt even know that it was supposed to be there. One waitress and one cashier/host so it took forever to get seated. Really need to work on that in my opinion. I would stay again my kids really enjoyed it but definently not off season(maybe more staff during peak season) and definently not below the 4th floor.

If you are considering this accommodation be sure to stay in the main building only, unless you are fully committed to YOLO. Also HUGE note, the reception area is SEPARATE, across the street, from the actual “main building”. It’s a cumbersome design at best. The first room we were given was in dire need of updates. The bathroom was dated. Carpet in the rooms was buckling and felt gross. The furniture looked like it had been in a bar fight. The stove was outdated, as was the rest of the kitchenette area. The second room was more of the same. The sliding door on this room was broken. Definite bonus with vinyl flooring/tile vs the carpet (who puts in carpet near the ocean?). On the second day our door key stopped working randomly, and in an attempt to see about getting another one (4 kids in tow, walking across the busy road really wasn’t the best option), we were NEVER able to get anyone on the phone. My husband eventually left me sitting in the hallway with our children and he walked across the road by himself. To put the cherry on top, when I went to use the washer and dryer, they didn’t have a change machine in the St. Clements building...but they have a sign directing you to the main building or to the front desk. When we went to the front desk we were told sorry, they have no change. Bonus: I won’t be doing laundry, but it was definitely the final nail in this coffin. Other important notes: parking is virtually impossible at the St. Clements building. The way the structure is designed prevents most parking spaces from being utilized. EVERY ROOM IS DIFFERENT—so again, YOLO. You might get a decent one, or it might be like our first one. I now understand why this location had vacancies when none of the other hotels/resorts did. This is basically an ocean front motel, and for that it’s decent. Just don’t let the word “resort” fool you. It’s not even close to that. 2 starts because the front desk staff (when we could finally get them via phone) were accommodating and pleasant to deal with. So there’s that.

Are you sick of all of the creature comforts of home, like uninterruptible cable, plumbing that drains, lights, and pleasant smells? Then the Caravelle is your kind of resort! If you want that nostalgic, not updated feel, the Caravelle is your 1990’s dream vacation.

The smell by the elevators is just putrid, the showers seem to never have been cleaned due to clogged drains in both the shower and sink.Don’t even bother with the TVs because none of the channels will work.Overall experience is just terrible not family friendly at all. You’re better off staying somewhere else.

Terrible. Extremely dated and very run down. Basically a college spring break party place. Our balcony door would not close at all. There were bricks holding up the ac unit. Etc. can never get anyone on the phone when I called before and after the stay.
Terry L — Google review
My room was horrible. A patch of carpet was missing from my first room and the second was to infested with roaches. Google wouldn’t let me upload the videos with this post.
