The Alcazar of the Christian Monarchs, also known as Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, is a medieval palace-fortress in Cordoba, Spain. Built in the 1300s on the site of an old Muslim Caliphate palace, it features Mudéjar-style architecture, terraced gardens, Roman mosaics, and Gothic towers offering panoramic views.
Visited yesterday and found out entry is free on Thursdays after 6PM — such a win! ✨ We were so happy to catch that. Despite reading some mixed reviews about the renovation, it’s 100% worth visiting. It was our second time, and the place still has that unique energy — calm, historic, and full of life. The gardens are next-level beautiful 🌸 — especially in spring. Colors are glowing, everything feels alive, and you just leave feeling refreshed and optimistic. A perfect mix of history, culture, and nature. Definitely a spot to slow down and soak it all in. 🌿

Fabulous Alcazar Delightful visit for the family, we enjoyed wandering around these beautiful historical gardens. The gardens & fountains are absolutely beautiful and look very grand. We also like seeing the ruins and the inside of the building. This is certainly one of the must see places in Cordoba.
Paul V — Google review
The Alcázar is a fortress-palace that reflects the layers of Córdoba’s history—from Roman and Visigothic to Islamic and Christian times. The current structure was extensively rebuilt in the 14th century under Alfonso XI, later serving as a residence of the Catholic Monarchs, and even as the seat of the Inquisition and a city prison. Four towers mark its corners, giving the fortress its distinctive silhouette. Inside, the Mudéjar-style Patio de Crucero features geometric water channels, fountains, and ancient remains. The gardens, lined with palms, cypresses, and orange trees, with long pools and fountains, offer one of Córdoba’s most beautiful walks. ※ Included in the Bono conjunto monumentos Córdoba
Seokjin H — Google review
It is a very amazing and beautiful place. You are able to explore the ruins of the alcazar where you are able to climb the tower and get a gorgeous view of the gardens and the city. Speaking of the gardens, they are magnificent and gorgeous. They are a must-see if you are passing by or just enjoy a gorgeous garden. It normally isn’t too crowded so it’s a perfect place to visit when you have free time.
KValC — Google review
Amazing garden, many different trees, seating places with shadow from hot 🌞 sun. Very relaxing and quite place to escape from croudly tourist streets. Unfortunately castle is closed... but was nice to walk around.
Kristi M — Google review
Very cool place. We got there early and were able to have the tower and most of the gardens to ourselves (for all intents and purposes). Seemed like a significant portion was closed due to construction, but what we saw was very interesting and beautiful.
Don B — Google review
Now unfortunately it is under renovations so we just admired it from outside and it looks amazing anyway! Very beautiful and its garden is well maintained! I'll come back to get in and enjoy
Francesca P — Google review
The castle (AND several fountains) are under maintenance. Entry to the gardens is free. Some areas are accessible for wheelchair users but they are not indicated. There's no map with wheelchair accessible routes available either

Casa Pepe de La Judería is a century-old restaurant in Cordoba, known for its oxtail stew and breaded pork rolls. It has a rooftop terrace offering views of the mosque. Included in the Michelin Guide 2020, it promises unique dishes, excellent service, and a traditional family atmosphere. Located near the Mezquita de Cordoba, it's perfect for refueling while exploring the city.
The highlight of my dining while in Spain. Excellent, attentive service throughout. I had the Iberian ham, beef sweetbreads, and the cheesecake with raspberry sorbet. All were uniformly excellent, but the cheesecake was the crowning glory. As a coeliac they provide a separate menu, and GF bread on the side with some fine Spanish olive oil.
Michael W — Google review
We visited Cordoba and a friend made a reservation here. Honestly, nothing special. There are plenty of places that offer the same type of dishes in the area for a fraction of the price. The waiter offered bread as he handed us the menus, me being used to this agreed, unbeknownst to me this came with a tag of 3eur per person, for bread. The waiter then put a small amount of olive oil in our plates with no chance to get more for our expensive bread service. We had the oxtail as it is supposed to be the specialty. It was cooked properly but that’s it, nothing memorable. We went for the full portion since the half portion was 23eur and the full one at 30. It felt very little anyways. We also had the Rice broth (arroz meloso) with jamon and artichoke, this one was the best dish. I honestly would have sticked to this one only. We had a portion of croquettes, again very average, seemed like typical bar snack. Forgettable. We were never offered a drinks menu, the waiter forgot that we asked for water, there seemed to be no options for non alcoholic drinks. The tinto de verano was from a premade bottle? Like c’mon cheaper places make their own. At the end I learn this place has a michelin guide mention. I don’t know why honestly. It makes me wonder if michelin critics were drunk when they visited the place.
Armando R — Google review
Recommended by our trip organizer. Superior meal. We start with liver pate (over the top) followed by and artichoke dish and finished with a pork risotto (too good to not eat it all. Outstanding service. Try it!

This is by far my favorite restaurant of all time in Cordoba. I can't believe how good the food is here and honestly I will always come back here as long as these guys exist. The wine is excellent. The food is excellent. The service is excellent and I cannot honestly complain about a single thing. Don't ever skip this place because you are missing out big time.
Jordan S — Google review
What a place! Not only is the restaurant beautiful, the food is good and the staff nice. We went on a whim and they happened to have a table available but I think booking is better. Jose Luis was our waiter and you can just see how much he enjoys his job. Can highly recommend the salmorejo and dessert. Everything was very good though.
Kaylee W — Google review
Well, first experience about Cordoba kitchen but probably the best. Compared to other places little high price but quality of the food and service deserves. I started with Salmorejo and Berenjenas, very tipical Cordobese kitchen. But because I’m not very into fried food, it was tasty but even half portion was too much, but very authentic and tasty. As main course I had Flamenquin, which I had doubts because it seemed like some fried dish as well but omg. The meat inside 1er quality, very soft and tasty. Little note; If you like wine-food pairing and you want to try some Cordoba wine, 6 PB is a good starter(red wine) with starters(if you’ll have meat or veggie based starters) and for main course 12 PB is perfect match(of course if you’re going to have meat main course. Service is great, very welcoming staff starting from entrance but special thanks to Sari, she has been very patient about my indecision 🤭

Best restaurant we ate at in Cordoba. Had to wait for our table since we didn't have reservations (stupid tourists). Debated going elsewhere and am so glad we didn't! Ultra friendly service with a waiter that didn't speak English but sure had some moves. Had anchovies on sheep's milk cheese and toast (order this, it was hands down to die for), a fabulous potato salad and leeks with burrata. Divine dry white wine and a sweet porto (?) digestif to finish off lunch. Will be reliving this dining experience for years to come.
Elizabeth — Google review
Can really taste the quality in the ingredients, not to mention fantastic service. Probably the best food we've had on this holiday. Massive portions - we ordered way too much but ate everything nonetheless. The salmorejo (cold tomato soup) was just amazing - it's almost like drinking a cool pasta sauce but in a good way - perfect with the bread provided. Berenjenas con miel (fried eggplant with syrup) were super tasty like fried plantains. Flamenquín (fried pork with really nice flavorful ham) was huge and could probably serve 4 people. Lovely corquetas too. The giant cheesecake slice with raspberry sorbet perfecly rounded off this meal - not too sweet at all! Such a big meal we skipped dinner and breakfast the next day - could probably do without 2 of the dishes and no dessert. Was told the rooftop terrace is only open for dinner so best to make a reservation if that's what you're after.

Palacio de Viana is a Renaissance palace in Cordoba, known for its tranquil courtyards and formal gardens. It houses an impressive collection of art, jewelry, and antiques. The palace, also called Museo de los Patios, features 12 distinct patios with unique decorations.
Lovely palace with beautiful gardens. The palace itself is worth touring just to see the excellent collections of tapestries, books, guns, furniture and so much more. The only disappointment was the lack of English. The tour is given in Spanish and if you need a translation you read the pamphlet. During the tour, there were lengthy explanations of the exhibits but maybe 3 or 4 sentences in the corresponding brochure. Despite that minor issue, I recommend seeing the palace and taking the tour.
Mary P — Google review
I was going to skip it but glad we didn't. We only visited the gardens and they were stunning. It's very peaceful and well designed and maintained, you just want to keep wandering there for a long time.
Wissal — Google review
Gorgeous and inspiring palace! Gardens are amazing !!! Lots of art, furnishings, tapestries, books, even antique guns. When booking the tour a guide will bring you upstairs to visit the private quarters, including the kitchen and explain the origin (different countries) of most of the items. Our tour was in Spanish, but we had a pamphlet in English.
Maria D — Google review
You can also visit the house itself with a guided tour, but we only did the walk through the patios of the mansion. Beautiful to look at and very serene and peaceful. Also a lot cooler than the streets in the summer heat.
Alexander T — Google review
Very cute palace with something like 12 gardens! We didn't do the whole tour of the palace but paid only for the gardens. Nonetheless you get a glimpse of what's inside in msny occasions. Worth a visit!

If you love the Spanish gardens, definitely come here. Lots of beautiful courtyards you can walk through with lots of beautiful flowers and plants. Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful, must see in Cordoba. Gorgeous patios, we did interior tour as well, extremely nice & knowledge guide

Refreshing step in the dozens of patios of the Palacio de Viana. Entry is 8.50€ p.p and definitely worth it if you have some free time. The best season to visit this place is surely Spring, where many walls are covered with blooming wisteria! 💜

Tapas bar
Bar
Bar Santos is a cozy and popular spot known for its delicious tapas, tortillas, and beers. Despite its small size and lack of seating, the bar exudes a charmingly authentic Spanish vibe with its decor featuring photos of matadors and flamenco dancers. The prices are reasonable, adding to the appeal of this quintessentially Spanish establishment. The menu offers excellent quality tapas such as albondigas en salsa de almendras and bocadillos at great value.
So many good things to say about Bar Santos. It's a great old school bar and tapas place. Yes tourists know about it, but locals do too. The food is great and affordably priced. The tortilla is famous, but branch out and try more. The staff is great and really efficient.
Steve Y — Google review
Very very affordable price and good hospitality (which is so so rare in Spain for our 2-week vacation). The signature potato cake is really amazing. We even went there 2 times for that haha. It does not come with beautiful plates, but trust me, you won’t be regret waiting in the line after you taste it.
Jessica Y — Google review
So this is "THE" place apparently to have spanish omlette/tortilla de patatas in Cordoba. Or so my friend ChatGPT told me 😄😄 First things first , the first thing you would notice about their spanish omlette is I would much rather call it a spanish cake. I think each one weighs 5 kgs or something like that. The visual of these spanish cakes is stunning, but when it's served to you, they basically serve you a slice. We took a slice to try. It was quite good, but personally as someone who is firmly "pro-cebolla/onion" in the tortilla debate, I wish they had put some in ,🤪 also there was a hair in the tortilla, so that kinda sucked. We also got a patatas bravas which was also good. Service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Finding a table apparently can be very hard but most folks including us just took the food to go and ate outside by the facade of the mosque cathedral. Having a hair in your food can be harrowing, so since I'm giving 3 stars it means the food was good 😅😅 but personally I think I had better tortillas elsewhere and make better tortillas at home myself too LOL, so while I would recommend a quick pitstop, I'd also ask you to set your expectations accordingly
Tushar P — Google review
Perfect authentic bar, quick self service, with traditional dishes and beer. You can take your food and sit across out of the Mesquita to eat. In the evening, there’s usually a guy playing music on the street and many people dance. Everything is just perfect!! Famous for the tortilla but everything we tried was yummy
Angelique V — Google review
Their signature tortilla is just excellent - large, flavorful, and just the thing to eat before your Córdoba stroll! The bar is unique in atmosphere, it was one of the most tapas bar of the tapas bars we visited in Spain!
Matija M — Google review
Great tapas bar, super friendly , efficient & affordable. The tapas are delicious, our favourites were the salmorejo (which was incredible) and the pisto con bacalao! Love that it’s take away and you sit on the wall and eat your tapas, great vibe & very local.
Teresa R — Google review
Very pleasant staff serving the best, and most likely the biggest, tortillas of Cordoba. Besides that, you may also enjoy the Victoria draft beer. Do as the locals and enjoy your meal across on the steps 😉
Pj ( — Google review
The ultimate Spanish tortilla, a huge thin slice served hot on a plate with a breadstick, other dishes available also drinks and draft beer, some standing room inside, but best to sit on the wall opposite, easy to find on the East side of the mosque.

Restaurante El Churrasco in Córdoba is a traditional Spanish restaurant located in the heart of the Juderia. The restaurant offers a variety of local specialties, including grilled meats and fresh seafood. With more than 50 years of history, it has expanded to include themed dining rooms and a bespoke bodega for tastings. Guests can enjoy alfresco dining on the inner patio or upper-floor terrace during warm weather.
El Churrasco in Córdoba is an absolute gem! For me, it’s hands down the best steak I’ve ever tasted perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. The restaurant has a cozy yet refined atmosphere that brings a special touch to the dining experience, and the service is friendly and attentive. Beyond the steak, their selection of traditional Spanish dishes is incredible, and the wine list is impressive. If you’re in Córdoba, this is a must visit spot for a memorable meal.
Magno S — Google review
Visited Restaurante El Churrasco for lunch. They’re open from 2:00PM-4:00PM for lunch hours, and 8:00PM-11:00PM for dinner hours. We were ten minutes early, and they let us in right when the clock hit 2:00. Punctuality is priority! Bread was placed on the side plates and water was brought to us after we climbed up the stairs to the third floor. There are multiple rooms to this restaurant, FYI. Ordered quite a bit a food, and it all came in a fair amount of time. Although that could be because we were a few of the only customers. The food; amazing. I got Stew Broth with Mint, and I cannot explain the unique flavor. Also ordered a mini wagyu burger for myself, wanting to see how the meat tasted. It was delicious. We ordered a bunch of other stuff, and it was great.
Miyabi — Google review
They have a selection of dishes that cover veggies/meat/sea food. We shared some fried squids, then had main courses of octopus and cod fish, tender and flavourful. Although a reservation is recommended, we arrived there right after they opened for dinner and got lucky to get a table at the second floor. They had pages of reservations for the evening and the place got full in no time. Staff is focused and attentive and they manage their tasks efficiently.
Alexandra S — Google review
I had an amazing dinner at El Churrasco. I did queue, and the place opened at 20:30 sharp. There were a lot of people in line, but still, I’d say you might find a spot even if you arrive at 21:00 - provided you’re not a huge group. Staff was friendly and I appreciated being placed in a room that was quieter, as I had my book with me. I wanted to try their churrasco and the taste of “brasa” was so present but in a good way. Meat was melting like butter - so tasty. My small salad was big and tasty too. I tried the cordovan cake and the portion was huge despite being the small one. I also had the amaretto and chocolate crocant, which was disappointing because there wasn’t no amaretto and the chocolate was an artificial syrup (a place like this could afford better chocolate). My wine was truly good. So, desserts are not the big spot, and I do recommend you get the restaurant forte, that is meat!
FoodBasics - — Google review
Nice place with delicious local Cordobes food!!! Delicious chorizo and steak!!!! Love the restaurant atmosphere
Maria J — Google review
We were recommended here as a great restaurant but were very disappointed. Service was very slow, with no warmth and every course was disappointing. My €38 t-bone was chewy and bland, served with just a few soggy saute potatoes. My wife's Hake with prawns and mussels was not outstanding in any way. Overall the food seemed more like catering than a quality restaurant and was very poor value for money. We had many better meals in Cordoba.
Jeremy B — Google review
The food was REALLY GOOD! We had steak, burger, salad (stunning) and two desserts- cheesecake (lifted by the coulis and sorbet) and cheese. However, we were made to wait outside and the waiters were... let's say a little cool. As my mum would say, "they have a bob on themselves!"
Chris B — Google review
Everything was perfect. Staff are all friendly and professional. The food was authentic and very good quality. The price was fair! We're coming back for sure.

Fusion restaurant
Garum 2.1 Bistró is a trendy gastrobar located at the end of Calle San Fernando, in Cordoba's old town. It offers a fusion of traditional Spanish dishes like tortilla and salmorejo with modern and innovative twists, earning it a reputation for serving some of the best versions of these classics in the city.
There are so many wonderful restaurant options in Cordoba, we were lucky to try a few. We had the very best dining experience here of our 3 week Andalusia trip. The atmosphere & service is so excellent. The restaurant is run by a family & you can feel the love in the way it’s run. The menu has some really interesting items. The son speaks perfect English & he helped us choose our food & selected some great wines by our the glass for us to try. Do book as it’s quite small & do go, it’s amazing 🤩
Debbie G — Google review
If you are reading this, go ahead and make a reservation at Garum. It was one of the best dinning experiences we’ve ever had. This was definitely more of a fine dining experience. The food was creative and delicious. We tried various other salmorejo and did not like them. This one was one of the best bites of our entire trip. Everything was excellent including our waiter and the rest of the staff.
Lazaro M — Google review
If you are looking for creative and upscale versions of Spanish classics in Cordoba, do not miss an opportunity to dine at Garum 2.1. They have a small upscale (but not stuffy) dining room. Everything from the service to the wine recommendations and food were top notch. A little more pricey than your average restaurant in town, but not exorbitant and worth it.
Karen R — Google review
The best meal I've had in Spain. Garum 2.1 showcases regional cuisine in an elevated and delicious way. The menu was a la carte, but I encourage you to order several courses to taste through the menu. The small bites of morcilla and separately the chicharron were unusual and delicious. The salmorejo is a signature dish. And I recommend anything with the oxtail. The wine list was lengthy, but trust Carlos, he will guide you through with perfect pairings. The restaurant setting was a quiet oasis that was not easily apparent from the street view. The chef has been accruing professional accolades for over a decade. This is a true family-run restaurant offering amazing food and service.
Heather S — Google review
Fantastic experience. The attention to detail is second to none, Carlos (waiter) was knowledgeable, capable and friendly. Salmorejos are highly recommended but the lechon is the best I have had in my life, hands down must try
Jose B — Google review
What a perfect place. As if Cordoba did not already have enough to offer, this little haven of goodness just adds to the magic. It is more than food, it is an experience and a wonderful and pleasant one at that. This is not feeding, this is a journey for your tastebuds, intricate layers of meticulous flavour that can only come from a dedicated family who give their all to please. Full Marks, well done. We will be back, again and again.
Willo ( — Google review
The serves are RIDICULOUSLY small. We ordered an pinxos size serve of pigs ear and 2 main meals from the menu. Although it was all delicious the serves of the main meals were 1-2 tablespoons of food on a large plate. Just ridiculous!!! The deserts were delicious and the largest portion size of our meal. We went to 2 Michelin restaurants in Jerez which far exceeded this restaurant. Disappointing.
Laj S — Google review
Food was very salty, every single dish, except their complimentary tortillas (which was delicious). We had starters of aubergine, lasagna, fried mackerel and main dish of pork with chickpeas and red prawn. Service - we appeared without reservation and guy at the door said to wait to see if tables are available. Then lady came and asked us to come with her, when we started to walk after her the guy screamed at us to stop and wait. As you understand we were very "pleased" buy this "warm" welcome. Then another lady appeared and asked us to follow her, on which we were apprehensive and looked at that guy, but he acted as if he is not telling to go or no, probably because the lady is his manager, so he just kept silent, we waited, another client who was walking out started to laugh at all this situation, we laughed as well. What a mess, that was definitely a sign for us to leave. We were seated on the second floor, I dont know what the ambience is there for dinner, but for lunch none at all - very loud american pop music. As I said everything we ordered had same taste of salt. For desert we had tiramisu, with was not tiramisu at all but chocolate mousse with beets and salt. Ah, and bread, not delicious at all. Even my son who eats bread everywhere and as much as he is able to left his piece. This was the worst fine dining experience not only in Spain, but so far at all. Those two stars were for food presentation, which was good.

Restaurante Regadera is a charming eatery located in Cordoba, offering an elevated Spanish cuisine with global influences. The restaurant's rustic-chic dining room provides a beautiful setting for enjoying the culinary creations of local chef Adrian Caballero. The menu features a blend of traditional and modern dishes, such as suckling pig, beef tartare, cod, and sea bass ceviche, all prepared with innovative twists and meticulous attention to quality.
We were delightfully amazed by the food at Regadera. Good service and friendly staff. Food was very delicious (see pictures). We could had gone back for more next day, but unfortunately we had to continue with our road trip.

One of the best meals we had while visiting Spain. We made a same-day reservation using their website, and I’m glad we did because we saw people without reservations being turned away since the restaurant was full. Everything we tried was top notch. And the salmorejo - the best we tried in Spain, bar none! You could see the chefs while they worked, and they had an herb garden right in the middle of the restaurant which was really neat. Not sure if they had some ventilation problems while we were there, as some smoke from the kitchen filled the restaurant, but it wasn’t enough to take away from our night. Took about 2 hours from start to finish. Thank you for an amazing meal!

We had a wonderful dinner for two with the tasting menu. Everything was just perfect from start to finish. We chose two degustation menus, and each dish was creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was romantic and welcoming, and the service was attentive and friendly. A truly memorable experience, highly recommended for a special evening!

Excellent dishes in a clean, relaxed atmosphere. I know that I really love the dish when i start dancing in my seat at the first bite. That happened a couple of times during our visit last night. We ordered the ceviche, the butterfish, the tartar and the lemon dessert. All of the dishes were very tasty, beautiful to look at and arrived very quickly. The food is not too heavy and there are lots of veggie dishes as well, that is a welcome change during our travels. The ceviche was the star of the evening for me. Usually when restaurants try to re-invent ceviche, it misses a lot of things that make the dish so good. Regardera manages to keep the spirit of the dish while making it their own with some subtle andalusian flavours. Changing the leche de tigre for a sublime carrot gazpacho was really amazing. You still have the acidity of the leche de tigre but with some sweetness of the carrot that reminds you of the sweet potatoes often served with ceviche. The addition of crunchy apple cubes works really well. I could eat that dish for a week straight. Thank you for having us!!

Right by the cozy river walk, this restaurant is a gem worth visiting. The salmorejo was a delightful start—rich, flavorful, and packed with depth. We also tried the croquettes, which were surprisingly light, with the seasonal herbs adding a fresh and unique twist. The standout, however, was the lamb dish—perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and bursting with flavor. The sheep panna cotta that followed was just as impressive, delivering on every promise with its creamy, subtly savory finish. Beyond the food, what really elevates the experience is the warm, inviting atmosphere and genuinely welcoming staff. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Everything I tried was good, and most of it was excellent. Beautiful presentation, great depth of flavors, nice texture contrast, too. Air conditioning made it comfortable. Friendly service made it welcoming.

After 2 weeks between Spain, Portugal, and Paris, this was one of our top three meals the whole time. We absolutely loved the experience here. Standout dishes were the white soup which was excellent and the black sesame dessert.
Andy A — Google review
Exceptional food! Everything full of flavor and delightful to the eyes. We started with the salmorejo, a tomato based soup with pieces of ham and egg, them had the exquisite guacamole. I've never used that term before for avocado and chips, but the flavor was it if this works and made very interesting by the cilantro ice cream. Then tempura Hake with green curry-wow! For comfort food like you would have at home you can't beat the puntalette with shredded duck confit, like heaven in my mouth, so creamy and cheesy, but without cheese. Service was very good, but one woman was, let's say, less pleasant than the others. Bathrooms were clean, prices reasonable considering the food quality.

Córdoba Synagogue is a well-preserved medieval Jewish place of worship located in the heart of the city's Jewish Quarter. It is one of the prime examples of Cordoba's rich history, reflecting the coexistence of Christian, Islamic, and Jewish cultures. The synagogue, built in the 14th century, showcases exquisite Mudejar architecture and features a courtyard, stuccoed hall, and women's balcony.
I have never seen anything like it in my life. The architecture is amazing, an extraordinary combination of styles and cultures. Incredible atmosphere, definitely worth a visit

This is the only remaining synagogue in Andalusia and one of just three preserved in all of Spain. Built in 1315 by Isaq Moheb in the Mudéjar style, it is small in size but renowned for its intricate decoration. After the expulsion of the Jews in 1492, it was used as a church, hospital, and school before being restored and preserved as a historic monument and cultural site.

All the info about the synagogue you can find online - one of the three best preserved Medieval synagogues in the whole of Spain. Synagogue was build in 1315, and I visited it on Passover eve, day when back in history, more than 880 years ago was born here in Cordoba Maimonides (Rambam), Sephardic Rabbi and philosopher - the most important Torah scholar of the Middle Ages. Very special place in time. Synagogue is a square room with high walls covered with decorative plaster Mudejar-style plant motifs and Hebrew verses mostly from the Psalms, most of them were deciphered. On the right side of the The hekhal (ark), where the Torah scrolls were kept, is a Hebrew inscription that states that this place has been refurbished by Yitzhak Mahab son of the wealthy Ephraim in the Hebrew year 5075 (1315 C.E.). Piece of Jewish history in Cordoba - definitely worth to visit, even if you are not Jewish

The only synagogue that survived the expulsion and Inquisition in Andalucía. Built during the Jewish Golden Age under the Umayyad caliphate, some say this could have been a private synagogue due to its small size. It is accessible to wheelchair users. Entrance is free
Andrés B — Google review
It's a small synagogue in the Jewish quarter. It doesn't have any services now as it's a sort of museum. People can imagine how it was centuries back. One of the most preserved synagogues in Spain, second to that of Toledo, it shows the altar and the place where women congregate separate from men.

One of the most amazing sights in Spain. The Mezquita as it is known as is a classic example master that knew how to build a ppace of worship. The mosque-cathedral is truly beautiful and pictires almost wont do it justice. The arches and whole complex is one amazing plave that takes you back hundreds of years ago and once inside you can truly experience and appreciate the history. The ground was vroken more than 1000 years ago and in its current form, more than 400 years old. Its been a unesco world heritage site since the 80's

Choco Restaurante is a renowned dining spot in the city, boasting a Michelin star annually since 2012. The restaurant is led by esteemed chef Kisko Garcia, known for his innovative dishes based on his 10 Commandments of good cooking. The minimalist ambiance with charcoal-colored walls and glossy parquet floors sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience. Guests can start their evening in the entrance lounge before moving to their table, or even watch a dish being prepared in the kitchen.
Delightful experience with many surprising dishes. Exceeded my expectations and better than many other one star establishments in Andalucia. High level on taste, creativity, presentation and service. Most memorable dishes for me was the mushroom appetizer, wild grilled and smoked rabbit, carabinero, cuttlefish(!). All of them unique and delicious. Recommend.

I regret to say that my experience at El Choco was disastrous. Shortly after eating there, my partner and I both started feeling violently ill, with symptoms of throwing up and diarrhea. The onset was rapid—by the time we finished our meal at around 5:30 pm, we were already suffering from food poisoning. In fact, I had to rush to the bathroom to throw up before leaving the restaurant, which was a first for me and, hopefully, the last. We contacted the restaurant to inform them of the issue, and it took them five days to respond. They claimed they were having problems with their email (which is a Gmail account), and dismissed our experience, stating that no other customers had reported issues. However, I find this hard to believe, especially given that the only food we had prior to our visit was a pizza 20 hours earlier and breakfast (quite simple and with different items for the two of us). Both my partner and I ate the same things, and we were affected in exactly the same way, making it hard to ignore the possibility of foodborne illness from this specific meal. After consulting with doctors, it was confirmed that the symptoms we experienced were consistent with a bacterial foodborne illness. The doctors specifically inquired about raw or undercooked seafood or fish, which we did consume at El Choco. Despite the food poisoning incident, I must acknowledge that the service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and attentive. However, the atmosphere was minimalist and simple, which I appreciate) but somewhat dull, and while the food was interesting, it was heavy and, unfortunately, led to our sickness. I truly wish I could recommend this restaurant, but based on our experience, I cannot. Food safety should be a priority, and it’s concerning that the restaurant seemed indifferent to the issue. I hope they take the necessary steps to ensure that this doesn’t happen to others.

Very special experience. Food was amazing, with huge local roots and spins on Cordoban classics. But also a lot of time and care put into the experience of the diner - with different aromas, seating locations, and the very attentive staff. Loved it, would 100% recommend. One of my favourite restaurants and as a Londoner, that is saying something! Only thing is it is expensive, and there is no lunch menu. Price is fair for dinner given how expansive and in detail the full menu is, but I would expect a shortened lunch version.
Jordan B — Google review
We had the full tasting menu - 17 courses, I think?! - with wine pairing and it was a delight. We spent several hours being led on a gastronomic tour of historical Cordoba and Andalucia by our knowledgeable and enthusiastic waiter (who happily for me spoke English). The courses were served in three locations, one of which being the kitchen so we could watch the cooking and prep as we ate (one course here was smoked in lavender in front of us, as we were sprayed with local wine which was apparently once a sign of a gentleman's affluence - I love learning while I eat!). All beautifully presented, as one would expect for a Michelin starred restaurant, but not *too* gimmicky, and I didn't find it pretentious (although the final petit fours were served in a spinning box of jewellery, which I didn't fully understand). Some of the dishes were truly exceptional, with the 'choco' (the restaurant's signature dish) being my favourite: finely sliced cuttlefish with a sublime silky texture. It was the sort of mouthfull which makes you roll your eyes back and sink down into your chair. The pork dish was also remarkable - it had an ultra thin layer of glazed, perfectly crispy skin and I cannot comprehend how it was achieved. The meat itself was so soft I wanted to cry with joy a little. Rosemary baked bread was served with goat milk butter topped with a little caviar, and that was delicious (plus they could accommodate gluten-free folk). Worth noting too that we were served a fried prawn head and legs. I'm an adventurous eater but I balked a little at that one - looked too much like a spider. However, I sucked it up - literally! - and can confirm it was like a very light pork scratching. It wasn't an inexpensive afternoon (€450/€500 ish for 2, with the extended tasting menu, wine pairing, and a couple of extra drinks before and after), but sometimes you get what you pay for.

Nice Michelin Star restaurante in Córdoba. Nice creative cuisine , I like the set menu. Before I go, I guess the master chef will use the snail to cook. After all, Andalusia is affected by Arab culture. For example, the fishbone dish is really creative. In this ancient city, it is good to eat this kind of food. Just the location of the restaurant is a bit remote.

You will see the beautiful alleys on your way with beautiful shops and restaurants. Just be careful. There are some ladies standing on the street with some plants in their hands. Historical landmark
The Mosque-Cathedral Monumental Site of Córdoba is a stunning blend of Moorish, Christian, and Arab architectural styles. This historic building showcases the city's rich cultural and religious heritage. It was originally an Islamic mosque dating back to 780 AD before being converted into a Catholic cathedral in the 1230s. The site attracts over 1.5 million visitors annually who are captivated by its ornate hall of arched pillars and basilica adorned with frescos.
Visiting the Mosque / Cathedral of Córdoba was one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave. From the outside it looks impressive, but the real magic happens the moment you step inside. The vast hall of red-and-white arches feels endless, almost like walking into another world. It’s both majestic and strangely intimate at the same time. What struck me most was the fusion of cultures and faiths. You can clearly see and feel the Islamic artistry in the columns, arches, and delicate carvings, yet right in the middle rises the later Christian cathedral, full of grandeur and contrast. Instead of clashing, the two somehow coexist, creating a building that tells a story of Córdoba’s rich and complicated history. I found myself slowing down, just wandering among the arches and soaking in the atmosphere. Even with other visitors around, there were moments of stillness where the space felt almost sacred, regardless of religion. The play of light, the craftsmanship, and the sheer scale make it unlike anywhere else I’ve been. If you ever get the chance to come to Córdoba, the Mezquita isn’t just a place to see, it’s a place to feel.
Chris H — Google review
An incredible historical site—unlike anything I’ve seen before. The architecture, history, and atmosphere are absolutely stunning. It’s definitely a must-visit if you’re in Córdoba. That said, be prepared for large crowds, and it can get quite hot and humid inside. One thing to be aware of: there’s a small chapel inside that’s reserved strictly for prayer. While I respect the purpose, it felt a bit disappointing that this space isn't accessible to all visitors, especially since it’s within a paid-entry area. Many similar sites in Europe offer dedicated prayer areas in freely accessible zones, which feels more inclusive. Still, despite this, the site itself is powerful and well worth a visit.

930am... Bought tickets from the automated machine REALLY easy to use saved waiting for the ticket office to open at 10am. Then queued. An amazing place to visit, quite overwhelming at some parts of the visit. We decided to view everything in reverse order as less people and more chance to take photos or videos. I'm not a religious person in general but this was really emotional and impressive. Would definitely want to visit again.

Amazing attraction in this historic town... We were a part of a day trip from Seville. This place has a history that goes back to Romans from early first millennium through to Islamic influence from 8th century finally culminating in Christian influence reflected on the Gothic style from the 16th century. The hugely experienced local guide, Fernando took us through the finer details of each architectural style, which is still preserved in this wonderful structure, which is still a functioning cathedral. The evolution of this building is a reflection of the history of southern Spain, including Seville & Granada, especially Cordoba. The whole area outside the cathedral has so many different pieces of history attached to it. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

Truly magnificent, not to be missed. Covers a lot of area and it is hard to leave once you’re inside - there is just so much to see. Of all the cathedrals and mosques I’ve visited in Southern Spain France and Turkey, this is the stand out in my humble opinion.

We did 3 tours here, firstly the night one which was excellent but didn’t allow any photos and also didn’t go to every part of the building, so we went back a few days later during the day which helped get the full scale of the building as you could see it all as opposed to parts being lit up. The third was the tower which was well worth it as well.

The Roman Bridge of Córdoba, also known as Puente Romano, is a historic structure dating back to the 1st century BC. Spanning the Guadalquivir River with its 17 stone arches, this bridge offers stunning views of Cordoba and its surrounding countryside. Originally built during Roman rule, it has undergone multiple renovations over the centuries. Today, it remains a beloved local landmark and an integral part of city life in Córdoba.

As evening approached, the bridge transformed, glowing with a magical atmosphere as it became beautifully lit at night. I do not recall being able to walk on a bridge dating back from the roman period that is so well preserved anywhere else in Europe. This is obviously renovated a few times, but still the structure itself remain from the Romans times. This is a beautiful and fantastic experience, it is a historic bridge with fabulous & stunning views of the Mezquita and the river. Absolute must do!

The Roman bridge is really great. You get a really good view of the walled city of Cordoba. Nice views. The Guadalquivir River passed under the bridge. This river was named by the Moors and it is Wadi Al Quivir which means the great river. It was the longest navigable river in Spain through history and was navegable all the way to Cordoba. Since it has been dammed at a few places and many cities and communities take water from the river. It is still navegable from Seville to Cadiz, but not upriver from Seville.

Crossing the Roman Bridge of Cordoba is a really cool experience! The bridge offers some of the best views in Córdoba. On one side you can see the majestic Mezquita–Cathedral; on the other, the Calahorra Tower. The bridge is built to walk over the Guadalquivir river and has been restored many times. Now it is part of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage designation. As a big fan of Game of Thrones, I was really excited to learn it was used as the filming location for the Long Bridge of Volantis in Season 5. It doesn't take long to walk over and its pretty smooth and safe walking. Its important to stay alert for pickpockets though. People move fast and can get close on the bride. Whether you come for the architecture, the river views, or as a Game of Thrones fan, this landmark is a must-see in Córdoba!

The venue features chic dining rooms and courtyard tables, providing a charming setting for patrons. With its origins dating back to 1908 as a wine aging and selling location, it has evolved into a multifaceted space including a hotel, restaurant, tavern, and catering company.
Beautiful restaurant in an exquisite setting. Attention paid to the details; lighting, linen tablecloths, napkins, table silencer pads (rarity these days), young but capable staff. Excellent wine list which includes a selection of local fortified sherry styles wines (Oloroso pairing with the local jambon is incredible!). We had the Rabo de Toro rice with shitake mushrooms and asparagus (nice for spring)-creamy mouthfeel; dark, rich with red wine and gelatinous from the tail marrow -an indulgence to be sure! Paired with a bold Roja this Cordoba dish was everything we’d been hoping for!

We didn’t have a reservation, but they recommended we come right at 8:00 when they opened to get a table in the bar area, which was perfect (and not too noisy/boisterous). Excellent, fresh food and a greater variety compared to most other places we ate during our week in Andalusia.

Cosy restaurant, beautiful interior, excellent food and wine, attentive service. Reservation is advisable. I was there on Wednesday night without booking, I was lucky 😊

The most delicious oxtail I’ve ever tasted. Friendly staff and good service. Orange sorbet with olive oil is amazing. Highly recommend eating here.

Our tour guide recommended this restaurant, just off the main tourist places. The food was good, the service excellent. We enjoyed mazamorra, salmorejo (cold soups, pictured) jamón de bellota, rabo de toro and out-of-this-world desserts.

Restaurante El Rincon De Carmen is a charming rural house located on a beautiful hill in the outskirts of Rute, offering a serene escape amidst stunning natural landscapes. The establishment features a spa with a hot tub, solarium, massage services, and yoga classes. Situated in Cordoba's Old Quarter within the Juderia neighborhood, this restaurant offers an authentic Andalucian dining experience with classic local dishes.
Stumbled upon one of the best restaurants I’ve tried in Andalucía — not a tourist trap at all. An intimate courtyard 🌿, refined menu blending traditional dishes with a fine dining twist 🍽️. Everything was delicious: fresh bread with olive oil 🫒, salmorejo 🍅, aubergines 🍆, patatas bravas 🥔, creamy mushroom risotto 🍄, and an incredible flamenquín. Top-quality ingredients and great attention to detail. The sangría is a must 🍷 — fresh, full of fruit, so good we had two! Service was super friendly and gave great recommendations ✨. Highly recommended. A true gem in Córdoba!

Food was good but portion size was slightly less than we had gotten use to in Spain. We have had the egg plant and honey tapas in a number of places, didn't like as much here as it had a batter that took away the taste.

Delicious, reasonably priced, and authentic. Many options for me, who is gluten free, and the staff was very well informed and offered me a gluten free dessert too (it was delicious). Their patio is beautiful and a great place to sit. Highly recommend!

Restaurante El Rincón de Carmen is a true culinary treasure tucked away in one of Córdoba’s charming corners. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, with a lovely patio that adds to the traditional Andalusian experience. The highlight of my visit was the fried calamari served in dark bread — absolutely outstanding! Crispy, tender, and full of flavor, it was unlike anything I’ve had before. A perfect blend of texture and taste. The service was warm and welcoming, and the entire menu reflects the rich culinary traditions of the region. If you’re in Córdoba and want to experience true Andalusian flavors in a relaxed setting, this place is a must!

The place is very popular so a reservation is needed for lunch and dinner if you don’t want to wait. It has a pleasant courtyard but the day we were there it was too crowded and they didn’t have enough help. It took awhile to place an order. We got our Aperol spritz and goat cheese salad in a reasonable amount of time but we waited another 30 minutes for our burger that was overcooked and fairly tasteless.

This restaurant was recommended by our apartment and we are eternally grateful. The food (Spanish fusion) is superb. I had the best stake I have eaten in many a year here. Medium rare beautifully cooked and served on a hot clay plate. The service is very good. If you want to take your time it’s fine. If you need it quickly that’s fine too. To make things even better it is very reasonably priced. A very good restaurant.

Really cozy spot with excellent food. This was by far the best restaurant we have been to during our vacation. Strongly recommended!

We had a cheese plate which was nice. The anchovies and beet salad was disappointing, they were really cheap with the anchovies and it was mainly lettuce of some kind and beet. We also had some grilled fish and a risotto which were nice.

Delicious food, great service and unbeatable atmosphere made for a very enjoyable evening in Córdoba. I’m giving food 4 stars only because deserts might benefit from some sparking up, the rest was excellent. I also appreciated many gluten free options. To go place for Mexican food in Córdoba.

Me and my Girlfriend were visiting Cordoba on our travels around Spain. In the 3 weeks we have been here and eaten in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Toledo. I can say with absolute confidence that this was by far the best meal we have had here. It's was extremely fresh and light which is not how I placed mexican food before I ate here. They freshly make their nachos daily and they taste NOTHING like you'd expect. The marriage of flavours here is literally like a party in your mouth. They are also very accomodating, our waiter was very keen for us to ask questions and was very helpful describing food. I think it is a family place, as the staff seem to really care about their product, and seem very happy when we told them how much we'd enjoyed our visit. If you only eat at one place in Cordoba make sure you eat here!

Plusses: Good service, fun decor, excellent fajitas tacos. Minuses: Disappointing enchiladas with mole, terrible sangria. We lived in the American southwest for many years. We know good Mexican food and bad Mexican food. This restaurant featured both. The side of pinto beans with the dried out enchilada was absolutely flavorless. A little salt would have helped. Garlic and onion? Nothing. The sangria was sickly sweet. It's highly doubtful it was made with any wine at all, let alone brandy. For all this, a very overpriced meal. We'll move on to find a more authentic Mexican experience in Córdoba.

Fine dining restaurant
Noor, a modern upscale eatery in Cordoba, boasts stylish Moorish design elements and specializes in refined Andalusian cuisine. Led by acclaimed chef Paco Morales, Noor has gained recognition as a culinary destination for lovers of high-end dining in the city. This Michelin-starred restaurant excels at reimagining Al-Andalus fare with locally sourced ingredients, showcasing a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation.
The most memorable part was actually the presentations of the dishes, just mesmerizing. Special mention: Tuna belly. Wagyu & roasted lamb. Oyster & spinach. Can recommend. It’s a unique experience and at an affordable level (given it’s three stars).
Magnus — Google review
This was easily the best fine dining I have had. It was a true experience from start to finish. The staff is professional and polished without being stiff or cold. There is a clear vision and it’s executed flawlessly. The wine pairing is excellent and worth the add-on. I’ll be thinking about the soup dish and the wagyu for a very long time.
Jillian K — Google review
We visited Noor a couple of years back and thought it was great, but not quite amazing. This time around, it was a whole different story—truly outstanding! We absolutely loved the fabulous Kawn menu with wine pairings. Every course was a delight to taste. The ingredients are fresh, beautifully presented, and carefully chosen, and you can really taste the care and skill in every bite. Plus, watching the chefs work in the open kitchen adds an extra layer to the culinary experience, letting you feel like you’re part of the creative process. The energy in the room is lively but never too much, striking that perfect balance between special-occasion dining and a place you want to hang out in. It’s the kind of restaurant where you lose track of time, savoring every moment. Perfect for a romantic night out or just treating yourself to something truly special. We had such a wonderful time! Highly recommended.
Eva — Google review
We were surprised by the small restaurant and having to wait outside while other customers were entering. However, the food was impressive and amazingly presented. One of the best tasting menus that I have tried. We chose the longest menu and it is probably an excessive amount of food. We were really full. I would probably recommend the other 2 options. The experience was great. I would probably have preferred the waiters to remove the empty glasses, as by the end of the tasting menu and pairing, the table was full of glasses. Overall, the experience was great, mostly because of the amazing dishes.
Alvaro C — Google review
Exceptional experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend the wine pairing, as they offer some very unique wines. The meal was presented well, it tasted fantastic, and the service was perfect. Paco clearly has an obsession for his customers and cares deeply about the experience. Would recommend anyone coming to the restaurant to watch the 40-minute episode on Noor, to gain a better understanding of the restaurant’s theme.
Dominic M — Google review
Wonderful experience, with great service and very good wine pairing. I loved the arabic notes in the food which is a nice change to the standard tastes in many michelin restaurants. My stars of the evening were the oysters with spinach, the sesame karim and the aubergine with goat cheese and caviar. I also think the petit four could have been the best i have ever had.
Omar A — Google review
Fantastic - this is worth a day trip to cordoba for. Prices are incredibly reasonable (do the pairing!). Slight note for mgmt: doors didn’t open until exactly time of the reservation. This led to the creation of a line of customers to be seated which is a mild frustration.
Jay P — Google review
I will take the blame for not giving 5 stars, as after I showed up I started being congested and my sense of smell and taste was worse than usual. Still, my wife said that she agreed that the flavors were muted. Presentation was top-notch with beautiful plates and perfect service. I was intrigued by the decision to leave all wine glasses on the table until the end. Ingredients were all high end and perfectly prepared, but again, several dishes just didn't have the expected flavor intensity. The wines were similar, with my wife raving about the bouquet of several that were not followed up by the flavor. The ambience is basic, leaving you room to focus on dinner, but there was a stretch where the ice cream machine noise was over powering. I'm glad we went, but probably wouldn't again. We have had better at restaurants with fewer stars. Pro tip: if you want to ensure that you don't leave hungry, finish your bread and they will bring more to have something on your empty plate. We ordered the middle number of courses which left my wife stuffed, but I was ok only because I got refills on the delicious square flaky bread, similar to a croissant. No food pictures were taken so as not to be a distraction.

A lovely cozy spot for delicious wine! The owner was incredibly kind and knowledgable, suggesting wines we would like based on our mood. Reasonable prices for excellent quality drinks. Lovely chilled atmosphere, could easily spend the evening there and we would definitely have gone back if we had time! Wine is sold by the bottle but you can take home what you don’t finish. You can just buy a bottle or drink them there for a €7 corkage charge. Also had ham and cheese available to eat alongside.

We went here for the longer tasting, and found it to be both delicious (the food and wines) and informative (things we didn’t know about the wine). Hammam Al Andalus is a traditional Arabian-style bath complex located in the heart of the Barrio de Santa Cruz, Seville's UNESCO-protected old quarter. Housed in a stunning 16th-century palace, it offers a variety of massage and beauty treatments. The baths provide an authentic Arab hammam experience with salt water baths, steam rooms, and large bathing areas. After the rejuvenating experience, visitors can relax in a plant-filled patio while enjoying tea and Moroccan-style sweets.
We had a really lovely experience at the hammam in Córdoba. The space is beautifully designed and has a calming, serene atmosphere. The interior staff were kind and very welcoming. The receptionist at the entrance wasn’t particularly friendly, but the rest of the visit made up for it. The decor is unique and adds to the peaceful vibe. Everything was clean and well cared for. I had a 30-minute massage with Iñaki, amazing massage, I really enjoyed it, he was professional and very skilled, I actually wish I had booked the full hour. My husband got a massage with Angela and had a great experience too. If you have time while in Córdoba, it’s definitely worth checking out.
Mayi B — Google review
Here’s why it’s 3 stars. My husband and I booked a 60 minute deep massage on our honeymoon at 10pm on a Wednesday. Positive: The baths were pleasant and Antonio was helpful and pleasant in showing us around and recommending the sequence of using the different hot and cold baths. We also liked choosing our aromas for the massage. Disappointment and Frustration: The massage was neither deep nor properly planned. We both felt like they didn’t know what they were doing and were just trying to pass the 60 minute time we booked. They spent too long on our back and didn’t do any proper massaging of the legs, nor any front body massage nor arms. The facial and head massage portion felt like they were just touching our faces in random places. It didn’t feel informed nor working on specific muscles, and it was all too soft. They could’ve divided the massage time 15 minutes back, 15 minutes legs, 15 minutes upper front, 15 minutes front legs - but they were repeating hand movements on the same areas and not doing a deep tissue massage for any muscles. The massage was really a waste of money. I would only recommend going to the Hammam for a relaxed evening/night. The girls bathroom/changing room was alright, the men’s very small showers.
Maria D — Google review
All I can say is INCREDIBLE. We had the absolute best day in Cordoba and this was the cherry on top of it. The staff were all so kind and welcoming, and spoke a bit of English as well. They guided you through the whole process and explained everything to you. We were never rushed at all and we got to take our time pampering ourselves. We got the Jazzar package which was so insanely relaxing. We loved our experience here so much, we are going to the Granada location tomorrow. Anna and Sergio were the people doing our Jazzar package and they were so friendly.
Sara S — Google review
Very clean, a majority of the staff was super kind. There’s a limited number of baths, one large warm one, 2 small hot ones, 1 even smaller cold one and a steam room. The tea was delicious. I had the stretching and massage by Cristina and left feeling very relaxed after an almost 2 hour session.
Cicely W — Google review
My Hamam experience in Córdoba was simply breathtaking! I discovered Hamam Al Andalus and immediately booked three packages: Bayyah, Mimma, and Jazzar. The manager, Selma, was very kind and organized everything smoothly. From the outside, the Hamam looked very traditional and mystical, and I was curious about what awaited me. At the reception, I was greeted by Antonio and guided me to the waiting area, where I was welcomed with tea and friendly staff. The Hamam itself was modern, very clean, and well-maintained, with a beautiful pool area that was traditional and breathtaking. Antonio guided me through the Hamam and explained everything. I first enjoyed the bath in the Hamam, alternating between warmth and cold, followed by a stay in the steam room with a breathtaking infusion essence. Afterwards, my body was stretched and relaxed in a separate, calming room - a perfect balance after my journey through Andalusia. I then continued to relax in the Hamam, surrounded by heavenly tea varieties, until I was picked up for my next ritual. My cleansing ceremony continued with a Black Soap Body Scrub for the whole body, a facial care routine, and a facial massage, followed by a scalp massage and a final hair washing ritual - all with El Jardins natural, wonderful products. The highlight was a relaxing massage, where I could choose from various wonderful massage oils. These products were also available in the changing room and shower area to perfectly round off my experience. The Hamam experience was an absolute highlight of my Andalusia trip, which was made even more beautiful by a heartfelt farewell gift from Hamam Al Andalus. I received a body oil with amber essence and a facial cream with roses - a perfect memento of this unforgettable day. I felt like a Sultan in the Hamam, cared for down to the smallest detail. This experience was simply perfect, and I would love to travel to Córdoba again to share it with friends and family. "The most positive aspect of my Hamam experience was the perfect combination of tradition and modernity. The building itself is a true jewel of Andalusian architecture, while the facilities and services are of the highest level. The cleanliness and attention to detail are simply exemplary. What motivates me to recommend Hamam Al Andalus is the unique atmosphere you experience there. You really feel like a Sultan in the Hamam, surrounded by luxury and relaxation. The journey through the history of Andalusia that you experience there is simply unforgettable. Anyone visiting Córdoba should not miss this experience!"

I had such an amazing time here. I couldn't go in Granada so after a day of walking around and visiting the cathedral, I booked a stretching massage followed by a 15 minutes relaxing massage. I booked for 9pm and the lady at the front suggested I show up at 8 to enjoy the baths beforehand. I probably had all baths to myself for a good 20 minutes out of the entire hour, and even when there were people, there were just a few. It was never crowded. The massage was amazing!!! The massage oil smelled so good that I bought a bottle. I wanted the body mist but they had no more, but the woman at the front desk gifted me a sample bottle. Overall this was an incredible experience and I highly recommend it! It was definitely one of the top things I did during my vacation.

I had a wonderful time at the Hammam in Cordoba. It was the perfect way to round off a hot and sweaty day of sightseeing in August! The staff were so welcoming and kind, guiding me through everything from how to use the lockers, where to hang my towel and where to go next. I was impressed with how the staff seemed to seamlessly keep track of which visitor was who and which service they had paid for, guiding individuals around different parts of the Hammam without intruding or making them feel rushed. English was spoken willingly. The website was very easy to use and I appreciated the thorough description of what each package included. I recommend the Bayyah stretching ritual. The changing rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped. The only problem was having to put my sweaty clothes back on after such a tranquil experience!!! I wish my local town had a Hammam such as this. Thank you to all the staff and especially to my masseuse whose name I forgot but she wore glasses and was excellent.

Awesome live music 🎶 and atmosphere inside. The barmaids are attentive and friendly.

Objectively it is a small place with rock playback and people drinking beer and dancing. Personally though, not sure if it was because I went in March but the crowd was in their 50-60s. So my rate may be just because I am not the target audience for this time of the year.

Calleja de las Flores is a narrow and winding white-washed alley in Cordoba, known for its balconies adorned with vibrant flowers. This charming street showcases the traditional patios of Cordoba's architecture, reflecting the Moorish influence with sturdy white walls to provide sanctuary from the intense summer sun. During the annual Patio Festival in May, private patios are opened to the public and adorned with beautiful flowers for a municipal competition.
My 🌞 summer visit to this place in Cordoba was a vivid tapestry of colours and a delightful assault of senses. While the scorching summer heat was undeniable ( at least it was not humid) it could not overshadow the sheer beauty and charm of this place. The vibrant flowers that adorned every nook and cranny of Calleja Des las Flores were nothing short of breathtaking. The vivid reds , pinks, and yellows against a backdrop of whitewashed walls created a mesmerizing visual contrast. Strolling through this picturesque alley felt like walking through a living , breathing canvas. I highly recommend this place.

overrated! its not hidden gem, its a tourist trap. Place is a small lane with flower pots on the wall, not very wide even to contain all the mass of tourist hoping to take a photo of empty tranquil lane with flower. Again, its definitely not that
Tomi V — Google review
beautiful view of the tower between the narrow alley decorated with hanging flower pots, however, it is also simply a snap-a-pic kinda place, a little too crowded for the cramped walkway given the huge amount of tourists trying to swarm into the area

Beautiful place and concept but lots and lots of tourists, especially if coming from a tour. It was very hard to see and appreciate this narrow alley with blue pots hanging from the walls. A bit overrated and if you don’t like crowds, avoid this place or look at it from the entrance.

Throughout the region of Andalusia there are quite a few houses with hanging flower pots. I think this is the most special place. In the evening there are also musicians who come and dance in the area. And especially in the vestibule from which the clock tower of the cathedral can be seen, very special

When visiting Córdoba, one cannot miss the enchanting experience of Tablao Flamenco El Cardenal, nestled within a stunning 17th-century palace. This venue beautifully showcases traditional flamenco music and dance, immersing guests in the rich cultural heritage of Andalusia. After enjoying an exhilarating performance, take time to explore the local culinary scene by indulging in tapas at nearby historic quarters or charming neighborhoods like San Lorenzo and Santa Marina.
“Absolutely amazing! My very first Flamenco experience and it truly blew me away. A wholesome and unforgettable evening – 5/5, would gladly come again. Particularly enjoyed the virtuoso guitarist and the mother-daughter dancers – such powerful and captivating performances!

This spot is truly something special. From the moment you arrive, the beautiful courtyard sets the tone—peaceful, charming, and the perfect place to relax before the show. There’s also a small gift shop with unique items, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier—welcoming and warm all around. What really makes this experience stand out is the performance itself. The artists clearly care deeply about their craft—you can feel the love, soul, and passion in every moment. It’s intimate, moving, and unforgettable. If you’re in the area and want a meaningful, authentic cultural experience, this is a must. Absolutely loved it!

Very fun and unique experience. Their tapas aren't very extensive, I was hoping for dinner but the ham and cheese plate held me over until I could eat after. Great performances and atmosphere. Anyone who thinks it's in any way "ramshackle" is clearly very pompous and heard to please.

Absolutely stunning! I had booked a different show but the booking company told me the group had gone on holiday. They offered me El Cardenal and I accepted. You get to the location along winding streets away from the main part of the old town. The entrance is though an unassuming arch. But then you are in an intriguing leafy courtyard, which really feels special. There is seating for probably maximum 50 people and you are right next to the stage. The group are obviously very experienced. But their passion and commitment still burns strong. So powerful and elegant. An experience to treasure for a lifetime.

Tablao Flamenco El Cardenal in Córdoba was an unforgettable experience. The cantaora’s voice was full of passion, and the guitarist was a true artist! the two male dancers brought incredible strength, and the lead bailaora was pure elegance. The other two female dancers added beauty and depth to the performance. The venue itself is clean, spacious, and much more comfortable than many other tablaos in Andalusia. Every moment felt authentic and precious — highly recommended

The Mezquita de los Andaluces is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the oldest neighborhoods of Cordoba, Spain. It's within walking distance from the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba.
It is not open 24 hours , only open between Dohr and Asr pray and between Magreb and Isha. It is very small mosque. Something sad that cordoba that was the capital of islamic country before now allow pray un this only small mosque. In Egypt almost all anxuent churches beire the entry of Islam are still present and christian pray in it 24 hours open . This is the beauty of islam in which all cultures are kept

I attempted to visit the mosque several times. Unfortunately, I found it closed on multiple occasions. I wanted to perform a prayer there, so I kept trying and eventually found it open after about ten attempts. The mosque only opens during prayer times, five minutes before the prayer and closes five minutes after. The prayer times of the mosque are unclear because there is a piece of paper outside listing the prayer times, but it is either incorrect or not adhered to. Additionally, it is a very small mosque, located near the large mosque of Córdoba.

A beautiful and peaceful little mosque—we were truly grateful to find a place to pray on time during our city tour. However, it was saddening to see that there were just one or two man praying at most. Also, the mosque had a strong unpleasant smell. It’s a wonderful place that deserves more care and presence.

It's a small cozy & beautiful mosque. Located just a street behind the Grand Cordoba Mosque. There's a tap for ablutions (Wuzu) but there is no toilet. Women's prayer area is available and a separate tap for them. People have wrongly tagged Grand mosque pictures here.

One word. WOW!! You have to eat here! The food was phenomenal! I had the tapas portion of Shrimp fritter and cod with peppers -both are a must have! They were salty in the best way, delicious and perfectly cooked. I had the oxtail risotto for my main and I’m actually still thinking about how delicious it was!!! I also had the summer cordoba wine - it was fresh and light, and the wine was lovely! Best food I’ve had in Spain thus far! Cristian was our server and he did not disappoint! He was attentive and kind, he had a great smile and he was fast and courteous! The restaurant was busy(make a reservation online!!), but you couldn’t tell by the staff. They all seemed to be enjoying themselves, laughing and smiling with guests and they all seemed to genuinely love it there! We left very happy! 10/10 no notes! Thank you Cristian!!

This restaurant was very charming! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive—especially Curro, who was absolutely wonderful. I do wish there had been a patio, but the cozy interior still offered a lovely atmosphere. We tried the chicken tagine, chicken and soup, and the tuna–octopus salad. Everything was decent—not particularly memorable, but still enjoyable overall.

Our experience with the food wasn't what we expected from this restaurant, the tuna octupus salad it was very bad we feel like we bought the tuna salad from the supermarket. The one we like it was the Andalusian chicken tagine with basmati rice, pumpkin and raisins. The crispy chicken salad it was good expect the chicken. Our waiter was Campilo he was very helpful and kind. The other plate their was okay.

Restaurante Casa Rubio is a charming 1920s establishment located in Cordoba's Juderia, offering typical Andalusian dishes and tapas. It comes highly recommended by locals and travelers alike, also being listed in the Michelin guide. The restaurant boasts an elegant roof terrace and a menu that highlights local produce and tradition. Some of their standout tapas include coquinas, prawns, salad, croquettes, flamenquines, and salmorejo.
We LOVED Casa Rubio so much that we could not wait to post this review partway into our anniversary trip through Spain. So far it has been our favorite restaurant in this beautiful country, and they have set a really high bar to beat! The waitstaff were highly attentive and professional. We were able to enjoy our meal without being rushed, yet the staff was always quickly available whenever we wanted to order more or had other requests - like for bread to accompany the spectacular cod dish! The top-notch food and service combined made this an incredible experience for us. We would not hesitate to return.

Lovely decoration and warm vibe inside the restaurant. The food was excellent. It’s too late that we visited the night before we left Cordoba. Otherwise, we would visit one more time. We had cold tomato soup, fried eggplant, oxtail stew, ibérico pluma and cheese cake. Love it!
YA L — Google review
This was an amazing restaurant that offers very good quality and good customer service. It's a little bit off to the side which makes it for me a bit more enjoyable. I had the gazpacho, several other tapas, olives, homemade bread, the beef meatballs, the lightly battered calamari. All were delicious. This was the best meal we had during this trip in Spain.
Henry — Google review
The service was bad, as was the price to quality ratio of the food. Not only do you pay for things that are generally complimentary (water, bread, olive oil) but those things are also low quality. We got bread (just bread, no olive oil) which was untoasted and tasted like wonder bread. When I asked for some olive oil she came back and poured us a plate. The waitress then points out that there’s a fly in our oil and… walks off - we wait a few minutes assuming she’s getting us some new oil. But I had to flag her down to get some new olive oil… why would she think we were okay with a fly in our food. That was mind blowing and compels me to leave this review. That, coupled with the fact we saw many more restaurants with better prices for tapas and better atmospheres.
Haroon Q — Google review
We absolutely loved this spot! The place looked incredibly busy when we first walked in, and I thought for sure we wouldn't get a table, but I decided to ask the staff anyway. To my surprise, they were super accommodating and managed to seat us quickly! That service was truly impressive! I ordered the pork dish, and it was fantastic—so tender and flavorful. I was so excited to eat that I completely forgot to take a picture before finishing it (apologies for the empty plate in the photo! 😅). Great food and a wonderful team. Highly recommend making a stop here!

Taberna Salinas is a charming restaurant that has been a favorite among locals since it opened in 1879. The interior boasts a beautiful courtyard adorned with Cordoban-style ceramics and colorful plants, creating a lovely atmosphere. The menu features generous portions of Andalusian classics, including the highly praised salmorejo and stewed bull's tail. The decor exudes classical elegance with earthenware jugs and pots adorning the walls. Guests can enjoy delicious regional specialties in this delightful setting.
If you don't have a reservation you may have to wait for a table. Wait. It's well worth it. The food is excellent. A restaurant established in 1879 is definitely doing something right. We started with the Fried Eggplant with a sugar cane syrup, you can also have it without the syrup. Wow. Sliced paper thin and deep fried to perfection. Not greasy yet super crunchy. Then, we had the Braised Oxtail Stew served with fries. You MUST order this. It was fall apart tender with a thick tomato based sauce. Two dishes were more that enough to share for a quick lunch. Don't forget we also ordered beer and wine. It was a very relaxing experience. We were not rushed or pushed to order more.

Very delicious food! One of the few places in town with good vegetarian/vegan options. The grilled mushrooms and the fried eggplants were amazing! We tipped over a glass of wine and the waiters were quick to fix the situation, and they even poured us a new glass free of charge! 4 plates were plenty for 2 people. Great prices and great atmosphere, it’s even in the Michelin guide😎
Caroline J — Google review
I went to the restaurant with my family and left with the impression that it's more highly rated than it should be. It's not that it's a bad place, but based on the reviews I read online and in printed travel guides, I expected to be surprised by the flavors—and that didn’t happen. I'll start with the flamenquín I ordered. Absolutely nothing interesting about it. Just a deep-fried breaded sausage with no flavor beyond that of the frying oil. Then I had a broth with meatballs, which was watery, lacked seasoning, and the meatballs had more flour and bread than actual meat. In fact, the meat was so indistinct I couldn’t even identify the protein. Also, I didn’t think the service was great either. The waiters were quick to take our order but slow to explain the dishes or to bring out the food. My wife ordered the meatball soup, and we only realized the waiter hadn’t put in the order after I had already finished my flamenquín and my son his fries. Finally, I found the price to be quite steep—in other words, expensive for what it delivers. On a positive note, I’ll say that the rustic decor and traditional style of the place are fitting for a classic tavern.
Guilherme C — Google review
Entering the century old restaurant felt like stepping back in time, with its nostalgic, old-school ambiance. The oxtail in gravy was delicious, but the fried prawns and fried cod fish were fairly average. The staff, however, were attentive and friendly.

This is a nice quaint and quiet restaurant. I was nice to eat in a place that wasn’t ridiculously loud. The food for us was a bit of a mixed bag. The sangria was awesome, the mushrooms were amazing, the pork roll was just ok, the tripe was good, but meat was cut differently than were are acustomed. The flan was god, but not the best ever had. Geoff S — Google review
I love this place so much!! The flavors are so good, and the ingredients are so high quality, I would sometimes come here twice a day for lunch, then dinner during my week-long stay in Córdoba. The kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing. The restaurant gets very busy for dinner so don’t expect the service staff to constantly be around, however you eventually get food that’s so good it absolutely makes up for any long wait. I especially recommend the Salmorejo, the Brioche de Rabo de Toro, the Canelón Ibérico, and the cheesecake, torched with sugar crème brûlée-style right at the table. However I have tried at least half of the menu, and 3 dishes off their alternating menu written on the wall inside the dining room, and I have to say, everything was just perfect. There are cheaper restaurants in the area, but you will not get nearly as good of an experience because La Taberna del Rio really focuses on high quality ingredients and the chefs are highly skilled. Definitely don’t miss out and give this place a visit. Then go to the bar to pay, so you don’t have to sit an extra half hour waiting for the bill. Definitely go inside and check out the specials menu written on the blackboard, their paper menu is just the regular menu, though everything is worth a try here. I recommend absolutely everything! Come multiple times. That was over many days of coming again and again because the food was just too good to miss out on! Portions aren’t small, don’t expect to try everything in one visit. But you should definitely go more than once!!! 9.8/10

Amazing we didn’t have time to do the guided tour but still had a look around as couldn’t wait for it to re open in the heat. This is by far well worth it and one of my favourite historical places in Cordoba. The exhibits were so amazing 🤩

We visited the Torre de la Calahorra at night and even though we couldn’t go inside, it was absolutely beautiful. The tower is lit up after dark, and the way it reflects over the Guadalquivir River next to the Roman Bridge makes for an unforgettable view. Not only was a great way to cool down from the midday heat, but we found it also to be really fun and quirky. The miniatures have a lot of charm and humor, the stories are interesting, and the music fitting. Put on top of that the best view of Cordoba that you can get, from the top of the tower.

Very low price for such quality of experience. The cashier girl and the girl who met us at the entrance and the man who gave us the audio guide were incredibly friendly and helped me a lot, this is the first time in all my travels throughout Andalusia!!! And I have traveled a lot in this region. What struck me most was how spacious the tower is inside! The exhibition is very interesting in my opinion and each room is decorated interestingly. Even the stairs to the toilet are part of the interesting thing in the tower for me. Everything inside is air-conditioned. The price includes an audio guide, maybe it was someone's perfume, but everything inside smelled of a pleasant fragrance. The stairs at the end lead to the roof where a view of the mesquite opens up.

The whitewashed Córdoban décor and central courtyard create a pleasant dining space with a charming atmosphere. The menu features excellent Cordobes home cooking, including dishes like venison with sauce and honey-glazed eggplant.
The best Rabo De Toro and Salmorejo we had during our Andalusia trip. Very good atmosphere and feels we are back home in Philippines.

I was disappointed in this highly recommended restaurant. As a solo traveller I was pushed into a corner table next to the guitarist and basically rushed through the dining experience of ox tail. The ox tail was over salted and almost inedible due to the salt overpowering the dish as a whole. The two waiting staff were rude and ignored me most of the time. Others dining there were treated with respect and I not rushed through as i was. I was given the bill as I was finishing my meal. Wouldn’t recommend as a solo female traveller.

Rarely feel impelled to slate a place. Went on the recommendation and high score.plus points. Atmosphere. Service. The food an absolute disaster and worse still guessing not the Chefs fault I feel more likely the Groupo Rosales accountant. Almost everything you might want is off the non printed QR menu. Photo is the posted menu note the deleted items. Picked 2 Andulusian dishes starter a mish mash of fried breadcumbs. Pointless dry unappetising cheap stuffing, think cheap supermarket leftovers at 5 pm Christmas Eve. Worse to come, ordered Pork Shank as the main and the helpful waiter at least brought a plate for the bones. Removed the fat and bones absolutely nothing left, not a morsel. The potato slices underneath were tasty and the sauce good so the chef is competent. Pointed out this to the waiter who returned with another shank exactly the same. My humble recommendation is have a local sherry or coffee enjoy the courtyard and don't touch the menu. In retrospect looking critically at the good reviews, they look bought to me, from long distance reviewers. Suggest the accountant spends more on indegredients and less subcontinental reviews. Feel totally ripped off at €26 for nothing and heading to eat elsewhere.

Typical setting reminding of the Andaluz’ horse culture. Good food at reasonable price. We appreciated the Berenjenas Fritas with Salmorejo and the Chanquetes con huevo. The Revuelto de morcilla (too dry) was not our favourite as we prefer the Burgos or Basque versions of the morcilla 😉.

This had been recommended by a few people. It was very quiet when we went so a little lackong in atmosphere, we were there 20.30 to about 22.00 but as thats Spanish dinner time would have thought it would have filled up but didnt. Food wasnt bad had the Conejo stew which tasted nice. Other half had Bacalao Confitado which wasnt to their taste more because of the texture than anything. Waitor was a little disrracted though talking a lot with other staff and missing people in the waiting area and having cigarettes outside. Wasnt bad but not as gokd as other places we went during our stay.

The venue undoubtedly boasts a delightful atmosphere. During my visit, I ordered venison with sauce, honey-glazed eggplant, artichoke, and a glass of white wine. The live flamenco music played by a guitarist added to the charm, creating a perfect setting for a lovely lunch experience. The bill for two came to €50, which I found quite reasonable given the ambiance and quality of the offerings. However, there were a few minor hiccups. Initially, they forgot to bring the venison, and I had to remind the waiter. Once it arrived, while the wine was delightful, the sauce on the venison overpowered the meat’s natural flavor, which I found a bit excessive. The eggplant was decent, though considering the venue's overall quality, it could have been better. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was positive. The combination of live music, charming atmosphere, and reasonably priced menu makes this place a standout. If you're in the area, I believe this venue offers a more affordable and atmospheric dining experience compared to its alternatives. I highly recommend giving it a try, especially if you appreciate a lively and authentic setting.

Awful food, awful service Cheap canteen food at restaurant prices. This place is designed for a large influx of tourists. You won't find quality food or good service here. We ordered mixed salad and few other dishes Mixed salad. The only dressing on the salad was vinegar. The salad was simply swimming in vinegar, making it edible. We also ordered several other dishes from the menu. The chef came to us and told us that half of them were unavailable. We asked for replacements, but they were also unavailable. In the end, we ordered what the chef suggested. They added bread to our bill that wasn't even on our table. After we complained, they removed it from the bill. But the location is convenient and the atmosphere is cozy. Two stars for that.

The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and authentic, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing! I especially loved the traditional Andalusian menu I ordered salmorejo and rabo de toro and was truly impressed by the flavor and the way they were prepared.

Taberna La Viuda is a charming restaurant located in the heart of Cordoba, offering an authentic dining experience with traditional Cordobes cuisine. The decor is beautifully traditional, featuring wooden chairs and the characteristic blue and white tile work of southern Spain. The menu includes classic dishes such as salmorejo, flamenquin, and oxtail, as well as creative options like tuna marinated in ginger.
We wished we had eaten here every night in Cordoba Unfortunately we discovered it on our last night of a wonderful few days. It’s charmingly decorated and the camareros were friendly and clearly love their work so the ambience is also easy. The White Gazpacho was a real treat and unlike anything we had eaten before. It was served in a pitcher which was a nice surprise. The pomfret was a great follow-up.

Nice spot outside the main town center for an authentic Spanish meal. We ate here as part of a tour group, so I don't know if what we had is on their regular menu, but what we ate was fantastic. We had a pork dish of small bites with fries, and a fish with a great tomato sauce. Both were packed full of flavor. We would have definitely come back for dinner had we been in Cordoba another night.

Without a doubt, this was the best restaurant I’ve eaten at during my entire trip to Spain. The service from Antonia and Valerio was incredibly genuine—they were both so kind, sincere, and patient throughout our meal. The food felt like a true home-cooked, traditional Spanish experience. We started with the Picadillo de tomate con mango de Torrox, a refreshing salad made with high-quality tomatoes, sweet mangos, and onions—simple but packed with flavor. For my main, I had the Flamenquín Cordobés, and it was fantastic—crispy on the outside and full of flavor inside. My family ordered the Churrasco de bellota Pata Negra, a selection of grilled meats that were unbelievably tender. For dessert, we tried both the Pastel de las abuelas (Grandmother’s cake) and the Pastel de las viudas (Widow’s cake). Both were incredible, but personally, the Widow’s cake was my favorite—though it’s not quite what you’d expect from a typical cake!

I LOVE La Viuda!!! The food is excellent, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is cozy and intimate. I've been here many time and I am always impressed. Today I had gazpacho to start (perfect on a summer day), Presa Iberica, pork shoulder, for the main dish, and coffee for dessert. Every bite was delicious!!! I will always return to Taberna La Viuda whenever I am in Córdoba!!!

An unbelievably good restaurant we found by accident, thought it looked nice and were so happy with it we came back on our last day. A genuinely special place. Every dish is delicious and done with real care. Simple ingredients are elevated and refined, but retain their honesty and natural flavours. Couldn't ask for a better experience of the more delicate end of Spanish cuisine. Try the tomatoes with mango (yes it works) the house stew, the scrambled eggs with courgette, and grandma's cake! Service is excellent and atmosphere delightful. We took home a huge jar of their marinated olives because we've never had better. I will miss coming here!

Patio de los Naranjos, located within the Mosque-Cathedral, is a historic courtyard adorned with cypress and orange trees. This tranquil oasis has been a feature for centuries, offering shade and fragrance during Cordoba's hot summers. The courtyard also hosts evening entrances with light shows and theatrical performances that unveil the essence of Cordoba. Surrounding the Patio de los Naranjos are cloisters made of various marbles, leading to a sanctuary supported by numerous pillars and arches.
Loved this place, tranquillity in the middle of chaos, and when the bells ring, it's even more fun. When the sun is out, and it was the 1st day it came out to play, we smiled.

Patio of Oranges as its translates is a garden adjacent to the main complex of the Mosque-Cathedral. Could be entered through at least 4 gates . Its a free entrance here. Place where people gather to observe processions entering the Cathedral, specially on Holy week (Semana Santa). Smell of orange blossom here is mind-blowing.

Let’s leave the photos speak ! Where to start ?! The walk ways to it, the mosque ? The tower ? Not sure how to explain beauty
Yassar R — Google review
Beautiful and historic, and most of all free to enter and wonder around. Sure it doesn't really hold a candle to the interior of the Mosque cathedral, but it is shady and picturesque. IN May, when I was there it was pretty busy.
Bobby C — Google review

We visited in October and it was not busy at all. The park is very nice and the weather was great with 27 degrees. There are so many orange trees and the scent is just magnificent. It is definitely a must visit when in Córdoba. We also thought that October is a great month to visit everything as it is still very pleasant (sometimes even hot with 30 degrees) and it is never crowded. We can only recommend it!

Taberna Góngora is a renowned restaurant in Cordoba, known for its traditional and affordable cuisine. The menu offers generous portions of local favorites such as croquettes, salmorejo, eggplant dishes, and bull's tail. Despite not being one of the oldest taverns in the city, it has gained popularity for its traditional ambiance and friendly service. A must-try is their specialty dish - boquerones al limon.
Amazing local food. Super good quality, with big tapa portions too and value for money! We were lucky to find a table, although you might need to wait. Don’t miss on the fifty-fifty wine!
Katerina A — Google review
It’s way overrated! This is RED flag if you see this Google map positive rating with over 3.7K reviews and decide to go to this restaurant. Maybe, beginning was better? And getting worse once they become popular? The food was below average. As photo can tell, they even didn’t trim the shrimp shit. The taste was bitter and fishy with a sandy texture. Octopus tastes off like something is missing. White wine by the glass is also off. NEVER come back here.
Yuya S — Google review
Disappointing. Not sure why it has such a fame. The croquetas de rabo de toro did not have enough flavour and they seemed to had been fried for hours. The gambas al ajillo did not taste of garlic. The tomate aliñado was mushy and without flavour. The flamenquín was ok. We decided not to order dessert to avoid further frustrations. It’s not a good sign when the menu has so many options. Price was low but understandable given the quality. The service was ok but I would not go back again unfortunately

If you want the real deal Andalucian food in a place with no English spoken, you can't do better than this. The anchovies with lemon were amazing

This establishment had a rustic and casual ambiance, with hunting-themed decorations adorning the walls. The culinary offerings were quite impressive, particularly the Pisto Cordobes, which showcased authentic home-style cooking. We also enjoyed the Atun Ecebollado. However, the service left much to be desired. Two of the items we ordered were forgotten, and when we brought this to their attention upon receiving the check, instead of apologizing for the oversight, they displayed an unprofessional attitude, implying that we were attempting to cancel the forgotten items.
William S — Google review
Quite dissapoing, overrated .We were waiting for the table over 1h, then 40min for just salmorejo to arrive. Gambones en ajillo seemed to be off, had strange taste, too much chilli, not expected it to be so spicy. I hope not to get food poisoning afterwards. Flamenquín very oily, thick layer of breadcrumbs. Added patatas also very greasy, cold, not salted. Berenjenas the same. Instead of nice, local music, annoying beeping sound for over an hour, not sure of the source. Experience not to be repeated.

The establishment is divided into two parts: La Boca and El Perro Andaluz, each offering a different dining experience. The restaurant's location near the Mosque-Cathedral makes it convenient for visitors to combine sightseeing with dining.
A traditional Spanish restaurant with a flash of Asian and Peruvian touch for variety. The atmosphere was delightful and ambiance inviting. The service is 5 stars —the waiters explained the menu items and described how they cooked the food. A delicious tomato and arugula salad. Food: my wife had the lubina fish served whole. It was cooked perfectly and with hint of Asian flavors. I had the lomo saltado which is beef served with a combination of tomatoes, corn, and French fries and presented next to bone marrow. The meat was tender and flavorful. Dessert was tarta de calabaza and coffee. White wine.

Great food, the beef was particularly good with nice pasta, while others in my group enjoyed their salads and pate. Desserts were very tasty as well. We were seated in the more traditional part of the restaurant at the rear, it was nice and quiet while a procession passed.

Nestled in the heart of Cordoba, the Templo Romano stands as a captivating testament to the city’s rich Roman heritage. Dating back to the 1st century AD and initiated during Emperor Claudius's reign, these impressive ruins were only discovered in the 1950s. Today, visitors can marvel at six magnificent Corinthian columns that rise majestically against a backdrop of modern architecture.
The Roman Tample ruins are in the middle of the charming squere where You can sit, relax and drink or eat. Everything is visible from the outside so we don't even bothered to go inside. Very good place for a quick break when visiting Cordoba.

Magnificent remains of Roman influence in Córdoba. It was built in the 1st century B. C. It can be visited now inside after renovating and putting a platform for people to see them up close.
Joe M — Google review
This is a Corinthian-style temple built of white marble and believed to date from the reign of Emperor Claudius, between 41 and 54. It once stood at the heart of the ancient forum of Colonia Patricia, symbolizing the city’s religious and political importance during its Roman prosperity. Rediscovered in the 1950s during the construction of the City Hall, it remains one of Córdoba’s most significant archaeological sites.
Seokjin H — Google review
Very nice temple in the downtown area of Cordova. Only a few pillars remain, but the area is nicely cordoned off and you can see the total space easily. Take pictures during midday because the light will beautifully highlight the white columns. I wish more of the Roman areas in the city were well preserved, as they were in Zaragoza, but it's still nice. The temple is outdoors so it's free. Also, take pictures of the wild cats that make this place their home.
Lukasz Z — Google review
As far as Roman temples go this one is pretty disappointing. One row of clearly reconstructed columns mounted on rebuilt brick pediments, and that's it. It really should be called "8 Roman Columns" instead of Roman Temple, because the temple is missing. Entirely. No access to tourists was visible, and I did walk around the so called "ruins." The streets that surround the temple do have a few tapas bars which is some kind of consolation for the disappointment of the temple.

Puerta del Puente is a historic gate located near a Roman bridge in Cordoba, Spain. Despite its Roman-style architecture, it was actually built in the 16th century to commemorate a royal visit. Over the centuries, it has been rebuilt and expanded, serving as a grand entrance to the city. The gate features history exhibits and offers a viewpoint of the surrounding area. It holds significance as it replaced original Roman gates into the city and has undergone various modifications over time.
The Puerta del Puente is a striking gateway right by the Roman Bridge and the Mosque-Cathedral. Standing here feels like stepping back in time, surrounded by incredible history and architecture 🏛️🌉. It’s a fantastic spot for photos and a great starting point to explore Córdoba’s old town. A quick stop, but one that really captures the essence of the city!

The Puerta del Puente in Córdoba, Spain, is an iconic monumental gate built in the 16th century, marking the entrance to the Roman Bridge. It combines Renaissance and Baroque architectural styles, featuring impressive sculptures and detailed carvings. The gate was historically part of the city’s fortifications and served as a symbolic gateway into Córdoba. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction, offering stunning views of the bridge and the surrounding area, and is a great spot for photos.

Deeply upsetting, these animals deserve better! I visited this site in Córdoba and was really saddened by the sight of the horses pulling tourist carriages. It was around 8:00 PM, the sun had already set, but it was still 33°C. One horse stood completely still in the harness, but was frantically tossing its head up and down, clearly distressed. Now imagine: if this is how they behave at the end of the day, after hours of heat, noise, and work… how must they feel after standing there all day long? This isn’t just part of the cultural experience but it’s silent suffering. Please think twice before supporting this kind of tourism. There are many ways to enjoy the beauty of the city without contributing to animal exploitation.
Eef S — Google review
You can't avoid it, so there's no need to make time for it as you'll pass by it on your way from or to the Roman Bridge. It is beautiful at night, and such are its surroundings and the walls of the Mesquita.

Majestic and imposing, although it clearly looks like a reconstruction of the original gate. You can certainly imagine the impression it would have made to any visitor back during medieval times as they approached the city.

Puerta del Puente The entrance gate to the old city This is not the gate built by the Romans but a gate built in the 16th century in honor of King Philip II. From here cross the Guadalquivir river and overlook the old city. It is highly recommended to come here at night, the views from the bridge and on the other side of the river are amazing.

Restaurante La Cuchara de San Lorenzo is a top recommendation from local chef Adrian at La Regadera in Cordoba. Located in the San Lorenzo neighborhood, it offers a unique dining experience away from the main tourist areas. Originally a simple bar run by two brothers, it has evolved into a renowned dining destination through word of mouth and exceptional cuisine.
This cozy restaurant offers traditional Spanish specialties with a modern twist where fresh seasonal ingredients offer original and tasty gastro experiences. We tried the Cod Brioche, The Salmorejo and a wonderful Leek with Ibérico Ham and Sea Scallops which was magnificent. Make sure you leave space for the amazing Creme Brûlée. The waitstaff were professional and helpful. Highly recommended!

Lovely decorated place with modern takes on Spanish classics. Any place can have a bad day. Our visit was somewhat dampened by our main waitress who tolerated my faulty Spanish which seemed to have made her day worse indeed. I would recommend that the restaurant gives its dishes corresponding numbers for the staff to navigate between the Spanish and the English version of the menu as we ended up with not just 1 of 4 starters wrong but 2 of 4 main courses wrong. Clearly futile to make an issue, so we didn't and the dishes themselves were ok. She left the table without checking if we wanted to order wine or additional water which is not what I would consider hospitable. The guy who was serving the wine was genuinely friendly and the waitress with glasses was helpful as well which was much appreciated.

We were recommended this place after our first choice was closed. We didn’t have reservations but luckily got seated right when they opened! We totally lucked out. One of the best meals I have had in Spain! The steak was amazing. So perfectly rare with the large salt flakes on top! We still talk about how delicious the dishes were!!

We just had a dinner at La Cuchara and it was exceptional! The food is excellent! Everything we ordered was very tasty: Anchovy toast, Garlic shrimp, Glazed lamb shank, Steak tartar and Brioche with mushrooms (not in the menu). The portions are not big, which I would consider as a plus in such a place, so you can try multiple dishes, but also not too small, so we didn’t have space for dessert which I really wanted to try (we are not used to eating a lot per meal). If I ever visit Cordoba, I would certainly have a dinner here. Prices are also very reasonable for the quality. The restaurant is more on a casual side and this is exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend!

Unearthed in 1903 and later excavated between 1961 and 1964, these baths, known as hammam, were part of the Omeyan Castle and one of the largest of their kind in Cordoba. Left in ruins for centuries, they have been partially reconstructed and are now open to visitors as a museum.
This place is worth a visit especially if you talk with the person you buy the ticket from; he knows loads! I had an amazing chat with him. He goes above and beyond to give accurate information about everything he talks about, all with a lovely smile. He is a real treasure for this place. I learned a lot of history from him about the bath, and beyond. I was lucky to be the first person in morning (they open at 8:15 in the summer, and close at 14:45 because of the heat). Thank you, I very much enjoyed the visit!
Nadia H — Google review
The museum is well laid out with good descriptions in English. There is very little of the original baths still visible other than the bare brick walls. It is highly debatable whether the experience is worth the entrance fee.
Steve T — Google review
Fantastic Experience Visit The banos are really nice to see. Not sure either that it would be worth it on its own. But most probably you will visit the Gardens next door in the Alcazar and this literally opposite. It is a abulous museum that as an immersive experience, the design of it brings the ruins to life somehow. The visit itself will not take you more than 30 minutes, still worth it in my opinion.
Paul V — Google review
A fantastic museum with an immersive design that brings the ruins to life! The gentleman who was on duty when I visited yesterday morning was very kind, he clearly loves to show the baths to visitors! The visit takes around 30 minutes, and is well worth it.
Nadine — Google review
Great value - for 3 euros you can visit this small museum, which is pretty short, you'll be done in 30 minutes. Nothing absolutely impressive, but interesting historical info, and the staff was very nice and answered our questions.
Jean G — Google review
These are 10th-century Moorish bathhouses built during the reign of Al-Hakam II, when Córdoba was the capital of the Umayyad Caliphate. Originally part of the Caliphal Palace complex, they were rediscovered and excavated in the mid-20th century and now function as a museum. The site features arched ceilings pierced with star-shaped skylights, as well as an ingenious system of water storage and heating. ※ Included in the Bono conjunto monumentos Córdoba
Seokjin H — Google review
Interesting place. They give you the history of the baths the Moors built.
Hayes W — Google review
I can’t have the experience to visit it because it’s closed even if google and their website said was open but I bet it will be nice for the experience from others and the town is keeping the monuments in good condition

Modern European restaurant
Restaurante Celia Jiménez is a must-visit for those seeking the true flavors of Andalusian cuisine in Cordoba. The chef's strong attachment to her city is evident in dishes like mazamorra, Iberian pork from Los Pedroches, and partridge prepared with traditional escabeche. The restaurant offers high-quality food and excellent service at a reasonable price, with menus featuring a choice of three starters, three main courses, and desserts for 15 euros.
Incredible innovative food. We had the tasting menu with 10 dishes along with wine pairings, and each item as well as the wine was exceptional. The service was also exemplary. Will happily return.
Soham D — Google review
Nice combination of traditional and modern cuisine. Great mollejas. The fish dishes were not as good as the meat based dishes. The place itself and the service is not at the same level than the food though.
Guillermo C — Google review
Fantastic and consistently excellent each dish of the degustación menu. Fine wines to go with. Value for money too. I will come back no doubt
TorPedro — Google review
Overall good food but service is so bad I would not come back there for that. They do not want you there and does not matter if you ask the waiter to come, he does not reply and takes 30m to show up at the 3rd time you ask. Unbeliavable.
Luca C — Google review
Good food but horrible service. Very rude waiter makes it seem like he does not want to serve you and is every else than friendly…

Excellent food, nice location, parking lot

(Translated by Google) We have celebrated my son's communion and without a doubt everything was spectacular, from the attention on the part of Celia, the menu and the place. If you want your celebration to be a success, don't really hesitate. Celia is truly a helpful person and a piece of professional and so is her team. A 10 from heart. (Original) Hemos celebrado la comunión de mi hijo y sin duda alguna espectacular todo desde la atención por parte de Celia, el menú y el lugar. Botanical garden
The Real Jardín Botánico de Córdoba is a manicured green space that houses endangered species, boasts beautiful greenhouses, and features an arboretum. It is highly recommended for families visiting Cordoba, especially those with children who will enjoy exploring its gardens. Located near the city center, this botanical garden offers a peaceful escape into nature with its abundant vegetation, open squares, and decorative fountains.
Well I have to say that contrary to some other reviews we absolutely loved it. So much flora and fauna to see and all very interesting from the amazing collection of fruit trees to the exotic rainforest and cactus. All very well described with informative signs. Some areas such as abandoned cafeteria probably due to Covid times and lack of funding perhaps. We spent 2 hours here and could easily have stayed longer as so much to see and absorb. Cost hardly anything to get in,I think they should charge more! Sad to see not that many people there but may have been due to the heat. You absolutely should visit when in the gorgeous city of Cordoba.
Rosemarie H — Google review
Well worth a visit, there's a lot more to see than you might expect. It's a bit of a walk from the centre but the zoo is directly opposite so you can easily do both in a day. Super cheap to enter and plenty of beautiful plants to enjoy.
Michael L — Google review
Looking very dry & in need of maintenance,- particularly the greenhouses. Very few visitors= very little income & huge overheads to cover. No cafe, only a coffee machine.
Dawne D — Google review
Only 3 Euro to visit but I'd say it's not worth it to come here. Botanical gardens are supposed to display plants in their prime. This garden is dry, the plants look sick and not well groomed and cared for at all. The pathways are dirty and uneven, I nearly fell 3 times and even the water fountain doesn't work. The cafeteria is closed, and the toilets are dirty too. I saw a couple of staff goofing around and having their bocadillos but I would say this garden needs a lot more staff attending and maintaining a potentially beautiful garden. The conservatories are very untidy too inside and out. Don't waste your time.
Canyoudoitagain — Google review
Visited in late August. The gardens are poorly maintained, with many areas in desperate need of attention. Many dead plants and blank areas. Very sad. No gardening staff tending to gardens when there. Facilities run down. Thankfully just 3€ entry meant that I didn't feel too robbed.
John R — Google review
Pretty place. I just have seen better botanical gardens. That one is not too big but wasy to walk and don’t get lost. Cheap entrance, on Sundays for 1€ (but when I went there was some special day and it was even for free). Cool to come and see but as a turist for me almost as interesting and just watch plants around me on a street.
Patrycja M — Google review
Very nice botanical garden with a tranquil atmosphere. It's free to enter and has enough different spots to keep visitors interested for an hour or so. As it's next to the Guadalquivir river, there's also a possibility to walk around the garden to see the riverside nature.
Maria E — Google review
A bit rundown in some areas but nice for a mini escape of the city. We have an active toddler so she was in heaven running around. The garden cats are so sweet. Some areas were closed due to corona.

Jardines de la Merced is a charming public park located north of Cordoba's historic center. It features a romantic-style 19th-century fountain at its heart and is adorned with numerous rose bushes, palm trees, and other greenery. The park also houses the Morabito Mosque, adding to its cultural allure. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls along tree-shaded paths or simply relax on the benches while taking in the serene surroundings.
Lovely place to walk around, read a book, or even have a picnic. There are plenty of art deco benches to sit on. Relax and people watch.
SARAH B — Google review
Well curated park in between downtown and the railway station. Some of the metal benches are covered in dove poo, others are clean and invite for a siesta. I tried to sleep but was woken by a police car in full siren mode racing through the (car free) park. There's also a small moorish building that looks like a private mosque.
Thomas I — Google review
This park looks nice, and kids were playing football everywhere. But it smells like a place where many people walk their dogs.
Dan P — Google review
Beautiful city park to sit under trees, look at and listen to fountain. Water fountains available for drinking as well.
D R — Google review
Nice but tiny park. There are benches and fountains. During summer time it must be very nice to hide from the heat
Ania W — Google review
It is a very beautiful place to scape from the city just on the middle of the city of Cordoba. Specially nice if you have time to sit for a bit and enjoy nature and yourself. Spring is always the best time to stop by. Get some ice cream or a drink or even some snails when it is the season and take a break.

Nestled in the heart of Córdoba, Caballerizas Reales is a stunning example of 16th-century architecture that once served as royal stables. This historic site not only showcases impressive equestrian events but also offers visitors a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the city. While exploring, don't miss other nearby attractions like the Jewish quarter and Calahorra tower. For an immersive experience, consider joining a guided tour or following themed routes that highlight Córdoba's Roman past and medieval churches.
What a wonderful experience. The elegance of the horses and the bond the riders are beautiful. We had premiun seats and great views of the show. Its a marvelous experience in Córdoba, helping to imagine the splendor of the past ages
Ruth O — Google review
Incredible show! Definitely worth coming here if you're visiting Cordoba and see the beauty and skill of Andalusian horses and trainers! Please note that taking photos and videos is not allowed during the show.
Jelly M — Google review
We came for the show and it was really enjoyable. We had some time before the show to see and spend time with the horses and exploring the place before the show started (for premium tickets you can come 30min before ) The organisation was smooth. I was expecting to see more acts combining the flamenco dancers and the horses, it was only two acts over around ten total. The premium tickets were not expensive and allowed us to have seats right in the center so I recommend it. Fir info, the regular sears don't seem comfortable because majority don't have back support.
Wissal — Google review
Really nice equestrian show with Andaluz horses and their rider's. You can't film or take pictures during the show so I at least have posted some pictures from before the show and some warm up and training before the show. You should buy your ticket before as it can fill up. You can pay about 23€ and get in 1/2 hour before show starts and see the horses and get up close to them and take pictures. I think it is worth it for the good seats and early admission. You can buy tickets at several places. We bought tickets at the Conference and meeting center next to the Mosque/Cathedral in the old part of the city.
Hayes W — Google review
One of our biggest highlights of visiting Cordoba was the Royal stables and the show! My family and I had wonderful seats and really enjoyed the precision exquisite equestrian event. The elegant Flamenco performers combined with the precision and grace of the riders with their horses was incredible. Definitely a must-see if you come to Cordoba!
William A — Google review
The beauty of the Andalusian horse is on full display at the nightly show in Cordoba. You get to learn about the history of this stunning breed. Experience the incredible 5-7 years of training that the horses go through. See the gentle hands that guide these beauties through their paces. Enjoy a bit of the pride that the Spanish take in this incredible breed. Buy tickets in advance online. Splurge the extra €5 to get VIP tickets for early entry and see the horses up close before the show. Plus all proceeds go to the riding school, so you are supporting local culture.
Shana A — Google review
Amazing evening experiencing this magnificent horse show Caballerizas Reales de Córdoba. The horses are beautiful, the riders awesome, and the dancer was lovely. Everyone worked together in perfect magical harmony. We loved every second!
Karen W — Google review
The horses are so well trained, they are the only horses that can walk sideways. They did jumps for the audience and stood on their hind legs. The flamenco dancer was excellent. A really great hours entertainment.

Nestled in the historical center of Cordoba, Hotel Soho Boutique Capuchinos & Spa is a refined 4-star property offering a serene retreat. Just a short stroll from Plaza de las Tendillas and within easy reach of Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba, this elegant hotel provides polished rooms and suites with modern amenities.
We stayed at Soho Boutique Capuchinos & Spa for 3 nights and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Since the moment we checked in we immediately felt at home. Everyone was super friendly and always ready to help with anything we might need. The room was super spacious and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. We also had the opportunity to enjoy the daily breakfast at the property which was diverse and very tasty. We had a wonderful stay and we will return one day for sure!

Loved this hotel! Such a great place to stay in Córdoba — stylish, clean, and really special. The rooftop pool is amazing with beautiful views, and they also have an indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and massage services (I tried the massage and it was excellent!). The location is perfect — super close to everything. And the staff? Absolutely lovely! So kind, helpful, and respectful. Big thanks to the whole team. Highly recommend this hotel — I’d definitely come back!
Nibras K — Google review
Hotel was clean & decorated nicely. Had all the amenities we required. We used the spa which was small but pleasant, clean & reasonably priced. Short walk to the centre, we done it everyday with no issues, also not too far of a walk from the train station. They have a rooftop pool (if you call reception they will deliver your drinks up here). Not the best view from the rooftop but still nice to sit up there.
Vikki A — Google review
All I can say is THANK YOU to the staff at Hotel Capuchinos!! My husband and I decided to use this hotel for our wedding guests to stay at. We received the best, most personalized attention here and were always met with lovely staff at reception or in different areas of the hotel. They were always very helpful and accommodating. I must give a special mention to Marta in the cafe, who always made sure I had gluten-free options with my breakfast. Another special mention to Sonia in the spa who treated me wonderfully, and even came by my room as I was getting ready for my wedding to provide kind wishes and made sure I had everything I needed. We definitely enjoyed the pool and rooftop terraza area in the evenings as well. The hotel was beautiful and in such a great location to get to many beautiful parts of Córdoba. Without a doubt would stay here again!

Fantastic hotel, great location for all facilities of the City. A bus tour us a must but do not leave this fabulous without seeing the Cathedral
Christine R — Google review
Very clean, fresh, super modern amazing shower but no heart, it felt like a clean hospital we asked for a parking spot but in the beginning no one helped us we had to figure out what to do. Finaly they parked our car in their parkingplace costs € 20 a day. They smile a lot but fo not help eaily. Except the man who helped us with the luggage and returning the car he was very friendly. Its close to the centre and has a small swimming pool on the roof. Breakfast is in a very closed space underground. This place has hardly any windows we felt locked up so we left all the time.
Gwendolina L — Google review
Staff at hotel check in and housekeeping so friendly and welcoming. Great location. Nice hotel. Sadly we found the cafe/bar server rude and unwelcoming.
