Nestled in the charming town of Ironbridge, the White Hart offers a delightful blend of modern comfort and traditional pub atmosphere. Guests can unwind in stylish rooms equipped with free Wi-Fi, private bathrooms, and air conditioning. The inn features a bistro dining experience that showcases an array of delectable meals while providing stunning river views from its courtyard.
Stumbled upon this pub whilst in Ironbridge with my parents and we were all really impressed. The food exceeded expectations and was worth the price. Pictured is the chicken, bacon, and leek pie and the salmon fish cake - both of which were yum! My dad can also vouch for the risotto too 🤌🏼 the staff were lovely also.

I booked this charming old authentic hotel-pub with a few rooms for my husband’s birthday and had mentioned in advance that a small gesture like maybe a card to mark the occasion would be appreciated. I was told something might be arranged, but in the end, nothing was done — a small disappointment, though not enough to spoil the stay. Our room was very clean and recently renovated, with a spacious bathroom. However, although I’d booked a yard-facing room to avoid noise, it still turned out to be quite loud. The hotel faces both the River Severn and a busy road, and at 2 a.m. we could even hear cars racing — not exactly relaxing! If you’re sensitive to noise, this may not be the ideal choice. The listing mentions parking, but in reality there is none. The full English breakfast was generous in portion, but fairly standard. There were no hot alternatives, just a selection of cereals with milk and yogurt. Overall, service was good, and with just a few tweaks this could have been an even more special experience.
Maryna R — Google review
Had a lovely overnight stay at the White Hart. We were taken to our room which was a nice touch and told about local services if we needed them. Our room overlooked the courtyard, really good size and we had a bathroom with own shower. Nice touch with the free toiletries and we had a fan in our room which was a good addition! You get left with a key to the fire door if you're back late which again is great and don't feel you are restricted to a curfew. They don't have parking but we parked on the museum and just extended. Tip: take a photo of the QR code so you can extend without walking back to the car. We had a drink in the courtyard after check in which was such a sun trap and we really felt relaxed there. Good choice of drinks available. Slept really well in the room and the pub is on the whole quiet after closing times. In the morning we were welcomed to our table and we could help ourselves to cereal and yoghurt. The orange juice was a nice touch. I know there was water available but maybe a suggestion to put these next to the yogurts if people need it. There's no breakfast menu and it sounded the only choice was a full English. I'm sure you could ask for anything and they would have made it as the server was so attentive but maybe offering a menu or a choice as some people don't like to ask in case they feel awkward. The breakfast was delicious. Generous portion and you could have extra tea/coffee and toast if needed. We were asked if we wanted marmalade or sauces which is taken from the kitchen. Probably a good idea to put this on a table so people can help themselves? Wasn't a massive issue though. On the whole we had a lovely stay and we would stay again!

When our main Food arrived it was cold. I had fish n chips the fish was soggy had been sat there for a while. The waitress offered to blast it to make it warm. Food came back a bit warmer. Chips were soggy my dad's food came fresh burning hot im not happy with my meal and would not recommend and will not be coming back.😑

We visited this place in Ironbridge hoping for a pleasant meal (Sunday roasts), but left with mixed feelings. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and polite, but they seemed quite absent-minded and distracted. When placing our order (for three people), we requested an additional side option around £5 per person which was listed on the menu, though not described in much detail. We just wanted something extra to round out the meal for all of us. However, we only received a small salad. When we asked about the missing items, it turned out the waiter hadn’t placed that part of the order at all. Eventually, we were brought a portion of chips, salad, and potato wedges but only for one person instead of three. When we followed up again, the waiter insisted we hadn’t ordered them in the first place. We wouldn’t have minded paying extra if it had simply been missed mistakes happen but everything took so long, and the way it was handled left a poor impression. Since we were nearly done eating by that point, we just asked them not to bring anything else. The place wasn’t particularly busy, so it felt like the staff were just a bit absent-minded. As for the food, it was below average. Some parts were better than others. The roast vegetables (leek and sautéed cabbage, I believe) and the potatoes were quite tasty, while the meat (both pork and beef) was just not so great. The wedges were crispy and tasty. The salad was overly salty, but still decent. Unfortunately, the chips had a strange, freezer-like taste a definite letdown. Overall, the mains were underwhelming. Considering the price, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations you can easily find better value elsewhere. That said, the setting and atmosphere were lovely. The garden area is especially nice, and it’s a pleasant spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Despite the confusion, the staff remained kind and welcoming throughout. In summary: a lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink, but not somewhere I’d recommend for a proper meal. I might come back for a beer, but for dinner, I’d look elsewhere.

Another lovely stay at the white hart. Staff are amazing, special shout out to the breakfast lady on a Saturday and Sunday . Food is delicious (apart from the hard poached eggs) a little gem x
Sharen C — Google review
I stopped at The White Hart for a refreshment stop while out walking my dog. I asked for half a pint of lager shandy. After it was poured the bars person said '£4.60 please'. I queried this and after the bars person checked with their manager, I was informed that they charge for half a pint of lager and half a pint of lemonade as they cannot charge for half pint of lager shandy through the till. So technically I was charged for a pint. My advice, if you want half a lager shandy go to the pub down the road who charged me half the price!

Enginuity is a hands-on science museum located in the former ironworks buildings, offering interactive exhibits designed for kids to learn about science and engineering. The museum features activities such as creating power with dams at the water table, operating an interactive blast furnace, and exploring wind power stations. Visitors can also engage in experiments covering electricity, water, and wind through games and fun facts. Additionally, there are sensory rooms for younger children to relax and play while learning about scientists and engineers in the book corner.
Great place for kids with lots of hands on exhibits. 3hrs is enough for a visit. There are toilets inside. There is no cafe here but within walking distance there is one at another attraction. If your kids have a blue peter badge it's free to enter.
Kuldip S — Google review
It was a fun place to visit, children would love it. Very interesting things to play with. Perfect for a rainy day
Scott L — Google review
Visited with kids ranging 3-7 in age. Lots of hands on experiences for everyone. My personal favourite was moving a steam locomotive by hand. The only criticism - it was absolutely boiling inside on a failry cool October day, especially on the raised walkway. Which makes me think its the lighting that generates the heat. If anyone from the museum is reading this you should switch to LEDs and save a ton of energy costs.
Serge B — Google review
Had way too much fun here. Definitely worth a visit if you get a pass plus for the locations covered in Iron Bridge. Lots of hands on STEM things to get the kids thinking!
Kate C — Google review
What a great day out. We used our pass plus and spent 3.5 happy hours here. So much to do, a place for picnics and it was amazing to see a sensory room for neurodivergent children. My favourite was trying on all the costumes and playing the video games in the visiting exhibition. We also did the toy workshop which was great
Sophie B — Google review
Really good experience for young inquisitive minds who enjoy interactive exhibits. My 5 year old son loved it. Only took us 1.5 hrs so the price is a bit steep (£12 me, £7 him). Ample parking. Toilets on site .
Sarah M — Google review
Not that large, but good fun - reminds me of 'Launchpad' at The Science Museum. Lots of interactive exhibits that kids will enjoy playing with - as always seems to be the way with these things, though, not everything works properly. The 'water cycle' exhibit was a firm favourite with #2 son, whereas the live topographic projection onto a sandpit was a winner with his older sibling. Definitely worth a visit.
Tom W — Google review
I was here 20 years ago and always longed to come back. I was not disappointed. Ingenious models demonstrating mechanical advantage. I even pulled a steam locomotive a few feet! Many museums in the area and one can get a deal on multiple visits. Just go and take the kids!

Nestled within the historic Ironbridge Gorge, Jackfield Tile Museum is a captivating destination that showcases the rich heritage of tile-making in Britain. Housed in a former ceramics factory still actively producing tiles, this museum offers visitors an engaging glimpse into traditional craftsmanship through live demonstrations of tile-pressing, decorating, and firing processes.
This museum is amazing, this was the first time I have visited , the tiles are amazing such an incredible variety . There is even an interactive room where you can design a tile or do puzzles etc the children would love it as would adults . It wasn't very busy which is a shame as it really is a lovely place to visit .tucked away at the back of Ironbridge. Lovely staff brilliant place Ironbridge is just fascinating
Ann P — Google review
Interesting museum if you like that sort of thing, I thought it was very enjoyable. The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially in the cafe.
Scott L — Google review
Wonderful museum about tile making in the region, the owners and how they came to be in the area, how tiles are made, different tile styles, and more. There are examples of many tiles, including mini recreations of pubs, lounges, bathrooms and more to show how tiles were used. We spent about an hour but could’ve lingered a little longer. Small cafe, shop, and toilets onsite. Parking included with Plus Pass or approx. £1.50 per hour.
Becky T — Google review
One of many museums in the historic Ironbridge area. Extensive, colourful and varied selection of ceramic tiles. So much to absorb. Excellent cafe and friendly staff. All set in a beautiful location running parallel to the river Severn. Always plenty of craft activities for children, especially throughout holiday times. Plenty of parking and much more, all within walking distance of the museum.
Tony S — Google review
A fabulous collection of beautiful tiles. The museum is calm and peaceful. The displays are an absolute joy and the whole place was both an education and a delightful experience.
Joules — Google review
The museum displays stunning tiles from the Victorian to Art Deco eras, including those that once adorned churches, railway stations, and public buildings. It also features reconstructed workshops showing the artistry and craftsmanship behind these beautiful designs.
Walaya L — Google review
We didn't really know what to expect from a 'tile' museum, but was pleasantly surprised. Our little children (1 & 4) loved the children's activities (baskets of coloured blocks and tiles to build with and make pictures) and our teenager really enjoyed finding the matching tiles in the activity pack. The museum was clean and very well set out and the tiles were beautiful. The cafe and shop were also very nice.

This new restaurant by celebrity chef Marcus Bean is a perfect place to enjoy delicious food and excellent service. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with great decor and attentive staff. The menu offers plenty of options for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike, and the food is full of flavour. Parking is free outside the door, making it easy to get around.
Delicious breakfast and coffees. Nice airy space, right next to the museum with free parking when spending £25. The cafe supports the museum, and is walking distance to iron-bridge. The breakfast was all cooked well, the menu had many options including blueberry pancakes.

A pretty cafe/restaurant. Indoor and outside seating. Appeared quite pricey. Hot chocolate £3.95 or a special £4.95 Drinking water freely available. You order your drinks and they are bought to your table, there was a wait. Hot meals, snacks and cakes available. Toilets available including a disabled one. Nice soap and hand cream. All on the ground floor, step free access. Paid Car park, spend over £25 for free parking.
Nicki S — Google review
Food is a little on the pricey side but it is very good. Not a huge selection but plenty to cater for most people’s taste. The staff are super friendly and do a great job of getting on with what needs doing while being smiley and pleasant
John D — Google review
Great selection of products, quality of products and friendly staff. This, combined with a well designed venue, creates a really relaxed environment for a drink and bite to eat. Easy access to the museums nearby and then Ironbridge down the road. Definitely recommended if in the area.
Matt T — Google review
The Furnace Kitchen is pretty much on my doorstep. It's tucked away by The Museum of Iron. We walked into a bright, airy and cool industrial café. The furniture is funky and comfy. My son and I chose a table. We were directed to where we could get water and menus. I chose the croque Monsieur which came with salad and skin on yummy fries. Not really a traditional croque but still very tasty. My son had the pulled teriyaki beef flatbread with chips, he said it was really good. Great selection of teas, coffees and cold drinks. Well priced, cool on a hot summer's day but I can see that it would be a lovely place to come when it's cold outside.
Candida B — Google review
This is a well lit roomy restaurant. The food was great, and there were gluten-free free cakes, too. They have good tea options. The coffee has milk alternatives, and I chose oat milk for my latte. Staff were really nice, and the lady who served me was really happy to help, and that added yo the experience. They do hot food, and the piźa looked amazing. It's not cheap, but I'd say the price reflects the quality. Great way to make the experience at the museum more enjoyable
Roberto H — Google review
A cafe, in what used to be the 'Hands On' building of the museum, with very few changes to the interior. So the large room has a high ceiling, paved floors and no soft furnishings which makes for an extremely noisy experience, voices and scraping chairs echoing round, not comfortable at all. Food is a 'modern menu' so does not include traditional breakfast items and it is very expensive, however service was quick. The entrance is accessible and there is plenty of room inside for wheelchair users. As other reviewers have pointed out, the car park is a pay car park, and again not cheap. I can understand this for visitors to the museum, or for walkers but the cafe should be exempt as in other restaurants and cafes round the country. The fees provide for upkeep of the museum but if the fee is compulsory then it is not a voluntary donation. Altogether disappointing.

The Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron is a part of the Old Furnaces complex and offers a glimpse into the early iron industry. Adjacent to it is Enginuity, a hands-on science museum for children, housed in former ironworks buildings. Visitors can also explore period-dressed houses once occupied by the Darby family and the nearby Quaker Burial Ground. The museum celebrates the area's industrial heritage, while the Museum of The Gorge provides further insights into its significance.
Very very nice place to visit, loads of interesting facts and it is right across the road from Enginuity, so you can visit both at the same time. It even has a scale model of the actual Iron Bridge that is very detailed, some fossils and all kids of information and facts about the start of the industrial revolution. There are also some old age war memorabilia such as an old musket and some old daggers, very nice visit and the kids also enjoyed it.
Frans C — Google review
An interesting museum showing the history of iron in the area and how this small town became the centre of the industrial revolution. There are two floors of exhibits and lots of information panels explaining how important Coalbrookdale was at the start of the Industrial Revolution.
Annette K — Google review
A fabulous and very interesting museum. Love the iron work and history. The tour was free and in depth, however it was very slow so ideal for those taking their time or with mobility issues. The kitchen was not great but think it was just an oversight.
Jonathan E — Google review
Fascinating and very well explained. Worth a half day visit - and the cafe serves good food too!
Andrew C — Google review
Very nice museum, lots of information about the area, technology and the people involved. Maybe even too much information, there is quite a bit to read. Maybe a few more interactive things would have been nice. Don't forget to visit the old furnaces outside.
Tijn B — Google review
A fantastic morning spent at the museum. Really informative, great staff and excellent displays. I got the multi pass for the area museums and it's money well spent. Im sure I will be back.

A fascinating backdrop to the Industrial revolution encompassing paid and free places to visit, the free furnace, the free art and gallery and paid exhibitions. All to be topped off at the excellent cafe restaurant.

Pub
Nestled along the scenic banks of the River Severn, The Woodbridge Inn in Coalport is a charming and quirky retreat that perfectly blends comfort with culinary delights. This delightful inn features both an inviting indoor dining area and a picturesque outdoor terrace, where guests can soak up stunning river views while enjoying their meals. Known for its smart gastropub dishes and hearty roasts, The Woodbridge Inn caters to various tastes, although vegetarian options may be somewhat limited.
Great traditional food at reasonable prices. Good stock of beers and gins through other spirits are available. Plenty of spaces for parking and nice views of the river Severn if seated in the right place. Plenty of seats outside to eat too whenever the weather picks up. Like to add I had the steak pie and was great with plenty of meat which I tend to find at other places usually lacking!!!
David B — Google review
Absolutely beautiful pub in an amazing location. Plenty of parking too. Really delicious Roast Beef and trimmings. Very friendly Staff, Grace was our Server and she was great! There's a lot of tables but its very well organised, we were served very professionally and efficiently. If you want a table with a view (of the gorgeous bridge and river) then you will definitely have to book. Dog friendly with a great doggy water station outside. Toilets very clean. Only loses a slight point due to the Roast Chicken being a tad bland but apart from that, everything was great!
Sarah — Google review
Beautiful location overlooking the river. We went for Easter Sunday lunch and it did not disappoint. The food and service was spot on and the service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only reason I did not give this a five star is because of the toilet facilities. They need to be improved.
Valerie B — Google review
Wonderful food, well done to the chef, perfect views, and all of the staff were so polite and friendly. I highly recommend the smoked salmon sandwich and chocolate brownie pudding! This place is also dog friendly.
Claire B — Google review
Although a very beautiful place, we were disappointed with the food and service. We had to place our drinks order at the bar each time as the waitress who looked after us was never there. When she came to take a drinks order, we had done it a while ago at the bar. I ordered a steak that was average. Would not recommend it. Very slow service. As I said, it's a stunning place, and I am sure you would enjoy a drink or two.
Martyna W — Google review
I want to go back when it’s not summer to see if I have a better experience but my day there was honestly unbearable due to the amount wasps and hornets landing on us which was slightly terrifying (mainly when the hornets appeared) this isn’t really the pubs fault but something people need to be prepared for if they’re dining outside. There aren’t any humane kind of wasps and hornet traps, we ended up leaving after less than an hour of being there and not finishing our meal because of it. The staff are amazing, service was great, the place is absolutely beautiful. Vegetarian roast was pretty terrible (extremely dry) but my partners pork and beef roast was really nice. I’d happily go and eat inside and try the weekday menu though.
Sian G — Google review
We really enjoyed our leisurely lunch at the Woodbridge Inn today. Nestled right by the river, offering spectacular views. A good, varied menu, I highly recommend the steak, ale and potato pie. The servers were friendly and attentive. A lovely experience.

Beautiful country pub with a gorgeous setting. Just annoyed that we have only just found it having lived in the area for 3 years. Staff were friendly, very helpful and the food was brilliant. We had been for a walk down the Severn and popped in for some lite bites.....we will be back....most likely again and again.

The Iron Bridge Tollhouse is a significant landmark in Ironbridge, known as the first cast-iron bridge in the world. Built in 1779 over the River Severn, it symbolizes the beginning of the Industrial Revolution and attracts tourists from around the world. Although currently undergoing restoration by English Heritage, visitors can still explore the Tollhouse and walk across the bridge to enjoy its historical significance and picturesque views.
Informative exhibition on the background and history of the bridge, absolutely lovely, and free, although neat souvenir shop with some Ironbridge merch allowed us to shed some £ to show our appreciation for the enthusiast team of volunteers

A nice little museum, it only took 15 minutes to walk around and read all the information boards. It was worth visiting to find a little history out on the Ironbridge. There was a shop too. You can walk over Ironbridge and see the river and take in the lovely scenery. Then you have the shops, cafés, etc. Ironbridge is a great place to visit.

The Toll House sits opposite the the village at the end of the Ironbridge that spans the river Severn. The ironbridge was the world's 1st iron bridge built in 1779 and is a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Set in this beautiful village that has attracted visitors from around the world for many years. Today crossing the bridge is free. So you can marvel at this amazing structure from on top or the path below besides the river Severn. Loads of gift shops and a few cafes are available close to the bridge. We'll worth the visit and the only cost was the car parking. At this time of year its great as the village and bridge arnt packed with loads of visitors. Would definitely recommend for all the family.

Marvellous little free museum at the end of the famed Iron Bridge. Used to be the Toll House for the bridge and it has an interesting history. I liked the highlighted fact that ferry operators who had been put out of business by the bridge were exempt from the Tolls. Anyway being a Toll House it is very small but it is full of interesting information boards about the bridge and surrounding area. It has a two floors and is well kept and immaculate. Lovely friendly helpful staff too, namely Laura and Mell (see I did remember). It has a small shop as well. Well worth a visit!
David H — Google review
We popped in here yesterday (15/6/25) very interesting exhibition. The chap that was staffing the place chatted to us for ages, he was so interesting and informative about the bridge and the local area, he was brilliant. A man perfectly fitting his job.

Great little free museum on the history of the Ironbridge & of course, being the toll house for the bridge, it is conveniently situated right next to it!

Free small museum about the Ironbridge’s history set in the original tollhouse, which was in use from 1779-1950, and still displays the original tolls on the exterior. It’s across two small floors, and worth 15-20 minute stop to learn more about bridge’s history - including how it came to be built and restoration work over the years. Also a small shop for souvenirs.

Had a wonderful meal at Bella. The food was wonderful, well presented and came in a decent amount of time. Our server Liam was a lovely man, professional, charming and diligent with a very friendly, warm approach. Nothing was too much trouble and will definitely be returning very soon. Only criticism, not for us but for Bella was our server didn't know how to take a tip via his tablet, so we were unable to leave a tip as we had no cash on us.

Nestled in the heart of Telford, The Wrekin Giant is a charming pub that embodies community spirit and warmth. This inviting establishment offers a delightful selection of hearty meals and an extensive drinks menu, making it perfect for family gatherings or casual outings with friends. With its picturesque outdoor seating overlooking serene waters, guests can unwind while enjoying stunning views of Telford Town Park.
We recently visited The Wrekin Giant as a group of seven and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The restaurant's menu had an impressive variety of dishes, catering to all tastes and preferences in our group. Each dish we ordered was cooked to perfection, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From hearty classics to lighter options, everything was spot on. The drinks menu also impressed us with a great selection of beverages, including some creative cocktails and refreshing soft drink options. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into ensuring there was something for everyone. What stood out the most was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. Despite being a larger group, they ensured all our needs were met without any delays or mix-ups. They were quick to respond to any requests and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The atmosphere at The Wrekin Giant was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect setting for our gathering. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you're looking for a family-friendly venue with great food, drinks, and outstanding service, we highly recommend The Wrekin Giant. We'll definitely be back soon!

The worst hungry horse I've ever been in, it's dusty, dirty and in need of some TLC , carpets are thread bare, tables need to be refurbished , lamp shades etc dusty, knifes and forks dirty and there for all to grab , hopefully people wash there hands, table was also dirty and sticky. music really loud and more like a late night pub with large groups out on the party bus using bad language necking shots etc rather then the useal famiely feel. Food luke warm but we where so hungry and waited about 25mins we just ate it pretty basic bacon dry , not a lot of cheese and sauce wasn't it's best, no-one asked if everything ok and only 2 staff visable at bar but busy doing drink orders. Kids machines also dirty couldn't get photo as other children about. Out the front was a little run down too post sign door flapping about and glass windows and door filthy. Won't return here
Daniel L — Google review
It was ok but food wasn't lackluster I'd say stick to the basics really, don't order anything exotic . It could have been better and the tables need get some work done on them. There's a bit of room for improvement

Lovely welcome on arrival, clean and tidy. A fantastic menu with a great array of choices of food, with plenty of excellent deals. A very good drinks menu, with lovely choices of cocktails and much more. The food was superb, excellent value for money. Kelly was so helpful with the food order, incredibly polite and friendly ;-) Excellent Service. Child friendly, great children’s menu. There are booths with Children’s TV’s programmes on. Happy families! Wheelchair friendly. Situated next to Telford Park, with fantastic facilities for families. We visited again, the service was excellent and attentive. Food was delicious, The Ultimate Big Candymania. My two tackled this, spoons at the ready and failed! This pudding would feed three little ones or two adults easily. Heaps of ice cream and cream and sprinkles…delicious! The Strawberry Dream Chocolate Frappe was thoroughly enjoyed by my daughter. It is a hot chocolate with ice, very tasty and fantastic price at £2.99. Once again a lovely and delightful evening. Thank you ;-)

We visited The Wrekin Giant for the first time this evening, and fairly enjoyed our visit. It was fairly nice, clean and tidy, but the only couple of downsides there were, was a couple of the forks weren't as clean as they should be. Also, even though there was a good variety of food on the menu, I only ended up with a bowl of chips, as there wasn't really any food of my interest on the menu. If only Banger's and Mash for both Adults and kids was on the menu, I would've gone for that. I had a lovely Apple and Berry Crumble for dessert, which was really nice. Don't get me wrong, the Dessert Menu was lovely! It's just ashame the Main Menu itself didn't have more interesting food listed on it. Apart from those couple of downsides, we had a good evening. The staff seemed Friendly, helpful and a little rushed off their feet due to busy times, but they did everything they could well. I'm sure we'll be returning again sometime in the future. Overall, I give The Wrekin Giant a 4/5 Star Rating. 😀
Jamie B — Google review
Food and service were excellent. Busy lunchtime but James and the team did a great job. Polite and helpful. Very efficient. The pub is clean and tidy and very well run. Good choice of meals and drinks. A very inclusive place with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Brian D — Google review
It's okay. The food is alright, you won't catch any illnesses which is a positive? But it was barely warm. Somehow it was burnt and cold at the same time. It was a Beyond Burger with a small handful of chips. But when the Mrs and I ordered food, she got a main and I only wanted a dessert, there was no option for it to all be brought out at once. The server came past once whilst we both had our mouths full of food / drinks, not giving a chance to ask her to bring out the dessert at the same time as the main, and that was the only time we saw her for the night. She was polite though, so that's something? When the drinks had arrived, the glasses were coated in lipstick still, blatantly obvious, and not just a small speck that could've been missed. The barstaff still thought it was okay to serve drinks in this instead of just wiping it quickly. The 330ml Coke Zero is £3.40 which is a bit steep for a can of coke. Probably won't be returning as the place had slowly begun to go downhill and hasn't had any signs of improvement in the last few months, but what else would you expect from Telford?

If you're in Telford and you're looking for a great restaurant with excellent service, then Wildwood is the place to go. The food is top-notch and the atmosphere is stylish and modern. There's even a kids' menu, so everyone can find something to eat (or drink!). And if you're feeling energetic after your meal, don't forget about the complimentary high-speed internet!
Fantastic experience. To anyone who has coeliac disease like me, this restaurant will accommodate your needs perfectly. They made a gluten free pizza (a fresh base and everything). Highly recommend. Carolina was the friendly waitress I've ever met and went far above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable.
Emma C — Google review
I recently dined at Wildwood with a group of friends on a particularly busy evening. The place was buzzing with energy, and it was clear that it was a popular spot that night. Despite the crowd, we were seated relatively quickly and started off with drinks, which arrived promptly. However, the food service did not follow suit. After placing our orders, we found ourselves waiting much longer than expected - about 45 minutes. Given how busy it was, we tried to be understanding, but the wait became increasingly noticeable as time went on. When the food finally arrived, my Chicken Cobb Salad was a mixed experience. The grilled chicken breast was done well, with a nice char and good flavor. Unfortunately, the rest of the salad didn't live up to the same standard. The dressing was watery, which didn't do much to enhance the dish, and the lettuce was bitter, making for a less than pleasant bite. Overall, the salad was just average, lacking the freshness and taste I was hoping for. Considering the price point, it didn't feel like good value for money. While the restaurant had a vibrant atmosphere and efficient drink service, the slow food service and the quality of the salad left me feeling that the experience was only just okay. I hope that on a less busy day, the kitchen can deliver on the promise of their menu.
Kamila G — Google review
I ate here on the 02/04/2025 and whilst the service was fine as were the starters, the seafood risotto that was served was lukewarm but served at the same time as the other main meals so was presumed that it was cool due to waiting for everything to be served at the same time. Clearly this was not the case as I now have the effects of eating seafood that wasn’t cooked or re-heated correctly!! The waitress did take the cost of the risotto off the bill but that doesn’t excuse serving food that has now caused me so much discomfort..! I’ll not be rushing back and would question the food hygiene standards..!
Steve P — Google review
Nice restaurant with a good selection of food and friendly service. The garden salad was delicious. Just one criticism on the insistence that all people at a table must have the same lunch deal so my OAP mum couldn't benefit from the seniors lunch deal - a shame as we'd be much more likely to come back soon.

William our server was fantastic. Made us feel at home and ensure a tip top service. The food was brilliant and timely service. I am a regular here and will continue to come as long as were welcome! Thank you to William and the team!
Mark H — Google review
Calamari had no flavour and risotto seemed microwaved, pizza is dusted with something that goes everywhere and pudding was nuked to much and burnt my mouth. Atmosphere was cold and felt like there was no love. Tables were dirty and never wiped from all the drink stains I can see. Did not appreciate the forced 10% tip and you must be the only restaurant to do this. Didnt leave feeling anything but know I won't be back sadly.

The lady Ellie who greeted us at the door wow she was amazing what a credit to the company!! I have really bad anxiety when out if its busy and I asked to sit outside. She explained there was no food being taken outside today and we had to eat in. I explained about my anxiety and she put us the other end of the restaurant at a table with no one around. what an absolute angel we never have that treatment ever!! Ellie your a star and we will return. Hats off to the chef the food was absolutely wonderful.

First time here and the Food was good, I had a Lasagna and my Wife had a Calzone. The Lasagna tasted really good, the Calzone was good also but it was so large lol. Me and my wife could have shared it! Great service by Elle, she was really helpful 😊. We would recommend this place to anyone, it has a good atmosphere, really chilled on a Sunday afternoon/evening, compliments to the Chef.

The pub's riverside location provides a beautiful setting to savor the delectable food while enjoying the nostalgic interior or dining in the beer garden.
Stopped in this cozy pub on a walk down from Ironbridge. Enjoyed a lovely lunch including broccoli soup and their Cajun chicken salad. Service was prompt and courteous. Kid and dog friendly.

We visited whilst walking in the area. The pub has direct access to a path which links Jackfield and Ironbridge. The outside seating is lovely, with great views of the river. The food options are varied and there is a dedicated menu to cater for vegetarian and vegan options. We had food which was delicious and well priced, especially considering it is a Bank Holiday today. Overall great experience and very dog friendly. Will visit again.

A great pub in a quieter part of a touristy area. Food was top notch chips were especially lovely. My burger was tasty and well proportioned. Ate here as a family while we were staying locally as the pub was just a stroll along the railway path from our Ironbridge holiday accommodation. Beer and food were excellent and all staff very friendly. Mixture of 'diners' and locals in for a drink. We sat inside but noted the nice seating area across the road... one for a warmer evening! We were really happy with our visit.

Felt sorry for the girl behind the information desk when an elderly gentleman asked for some information on something out of the area. She didn't know the answer, so she offered to google it for him, for which he said, "I could have done that myself", why didn't he? Poor girl. There's not much to see here. it looks like a half-hearted job. More entertaining in the car park.

It’s free & it could be interesting, to a degree. The fact that it gets flooded frequently probably presents challenges insofar as what to do with the place & the space going forwards. It seems under-utilised, rooms are half empty. Why fill them extensively if the next flood isn’t far off though?

Interesting use of the old building . With a collection of the Merrythought bears & soft toys. The late Sunday effluent release into the river was a spoiler to a great day

Lovely old building and quite a bit on the Merrythought Bear factory and local flooding, which was interesting, but not many actual exhibits...possibly due to the risk of flooding? Worth a look all the same.

The inn also features a restaurant area where visitors can indulge in delicious meals.
We spent 3 nights at the Shakespeare Inn at the start of March and had a lovely time. The Inn is ideally located to visit all of the local industrial history museums and the iron bridge. There are also lots of signposted walking trails that pass the Inn. The weather was kind to us, so we walked to the Iron Bridge along the riverbank. We had a couple of good meals at the Inn - the meals are huge and very tasty - I can recommend the Sizzling Sweet & Sour Chicken!

Very generous portions at good prices, considering the location. Staff were kind and the pub is dog friendly in certain areas. Plenty of parking and lots of walking routes nearby.
Oliwia — Google review
Waited more than 30 minutes for our food which was overcooked, overpriced and underflavoured . The burger was of poor quality and came on a tiny plate we had to get changed to a grown up size. The duck sizzler was mostly green peppers, not much meat, no garlic or authentic ingredients. We won't be returning, for the price charged the meals should be top quality and made from the very best local ingredients. Plenty of other places to eat locally with better value.

A little gem, a lovely house that shows how the family would have lived. If you read all the information and look about, it will take about one hour to get round. The staff was very helpful. Food here was outstanding, lovely little restaurant, friendly and chatty staff. Nicely decorated, calm and relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious, freshly made, the spice was flavoursome, a little heat but not overpowering. Plenty of meat in both of our dishes.

Lovely cozy place, it’s my second time at it and will definitely return. Starters were good, but completely overshadowed by both the monkfish green curry and the pan fried sea bass. Those dishes had it all, flavour, fragrant and complexity, but also fresh. For desserts the cheesecake was a massive surprise. Will definitely be back.

Sensational. Every element has been perfectly parcelled together; the flavour, aroma and texture were unbelievable. Honestly not had a meal like this. Wow. You can taste the passion gone into making these plates. The team serving could not do enough to accommodate you and did a wonderful job looking after everyone, everywhere at the same time. The quality and efficiency with personable nature is what will keep people coming back again and again, who wouldn't want to be looked after by such lovely people? The atmosphere was magical. The smell of whats cooking, watching plates be delivered to surrounding tables and feeling temptation by every offering on the menu. There was a real charm with the decor, a nod to authenticity and this warmth as though you were being looked after with aunty's home cooking but with the delivery of Michelin star quality. Visiting Again? 😋 Yes Please

What an absolute gem of a place! We arrived without having booked (silly us - definitely recommend booking a table!) but we were told they could fit us in, and I'm so glad they could. The staff are wonderful, the place is lovely and clean (hygiene rating of 5) and it felt very comfortable. We had the prawn toast and pork balls to start, which were delicious. The prawn toast was unlike any I've ever had. Super crispy, fresh and moist. For our mains we had the beef pad krapow (off the specials board) and the prawn pad thai. The beef was stunning, beautiful flavours with tender beef and a touch of heat - perfect! To end we had the fried ice cream (had to give it a go) and the lemon and lime cheesecake. The cheesecake was so creamy. We will definitely book a table next time we come ❤️ Thank you so much for such a wonderful dining experience 💕

Reasonable restaurant. Starter : chicken liver parfait was disappointing. No chicken no liver no fat no taste and even no salt. Quick forget. New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc from Southern Rivers is a shadow from the kiwi ones I had before. Boeuff bourginon as main dish was well prepared with all the things from original recipe. Chosen wine Solandia primitivo from of course Puglia Italy was good but fully flavoured and missed the vanilla. Olive tree you can do better!!

Pretty standard menu, choice not brilliant and the food is average. Prices are OK for a hotel but there are better eateries nearby in walking distance.

Embers Cafe is a charming dining spot located in the tranquil woodlands of Coalbrookdale, near the renowned Ironbridge Gorge. Just a short walk from Ironbridge high street, this eatery offers a unique and immersive culinary experience. While it may not be considered upscale fine dining, Embers Cafe prides itself on serving up delectable meals at reasonable prices. The positive vibes, great food, and friendly staff create the perfect setting for a delightful meal with friends or a romantic date.
Stopped for lunch. Really great concept. Food cooked outside on a variety of smokers and barbecues. Only a few tables inside. So book if the weather isn't good. Lots of outside tables. Rustic. Rated 5 for food - it's not fine dining - given a 5 because what they do - they do really well.

We traveled from Birmingham to experience this unique restaurant. Will be back to try again! My partner is a meat eater and wanted to try the roast cooked on the fire (ovens shown outside in photos). It was a bigger portion than it looked! Super yummy and you can really taste the fire in the food. I myself am a vegetarian so had the mushroom lasagna special that week which was also a decent portion and delicious! The owner could be seen outside preparing food and took the time to welcome us to his restaurant as we passed on our way in and also check on our experience on our way out. Only bad note was the long wait for food and it being a little cold. Although appreciate we went at the end of lunch service at 15:00 so maybe earlier would have been better in this respect. The restaurant has a very warm and laid back atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and very welcoming! The car park is a little small so you may have to use the public one around the corner at busy times.

Wow, the food here was amazing. We had a lamb special which was filling and tasted great. I had to finish all the roast potatoes despite being so full they were that tasty. Friendly service and look forward to coming back again. 👌

Let me preface this review that Embers is a 367 mile round trip for me, and having waited until I was in this neck of the woods to try it (still drove an hour specifically to eat here), I would be game for an all day trip out here again, simply to eat here another time. I eat in some fancy and famous restaurants in an around the capital, but what Embers has done here outclasses many of them. I was aware of the terrific reputation of this place before going, but I wasn’t prepared for just how good it was. You know when you hear places are good so many times, and when you go there they rarely live up to the image in your head you’ve built up? That’s not Embers I’m pleased to say. Everything is cooked over flame, and made from scratch, and it shows. We had the beefy lad, the Mexican torta and some sides of mac n cheese, smoked potatoes and chicken wings. The burger was firm but juicy, the potatoes crisp on the outside, buttery in the middle, the chicken wings had light crispy skins and soft juicy meat, and the rump steak sandwich has persuaded my fussy wife that rump when cooked well can be every bit as tender and juicy as a bit of rib eye. Wizardry I tell you! The staff are all friendly and active, buzzing around keeping the place clean, making sure we were well attended and happy a couple of times during our meal, but never over bearing. I heard the boss was away at the time of my visit, so seeing the staff engaged the way they were was very reassuring that they all had pride in what they were doing and clearly the backbone of the business. You’d usually see employees sitting back a bit while the boss is away, but not here. World class stuff. The owners should be proud. I hope they expand down south soon 🤣

Sunday lunch 40th birthday 🎂 🥳 What an amazing quirky place, the smell as you enter the building was amazing, the rustic outdoor vibe really goes with the cooking style. We had the most amazing Afternoon Tea! Would definitely recommend!! Gorgeous cakes & the scones were amazing! Great selection of sandwiches and a choice of drinks including tea & coffee. But nothing is too much trouble here, so accommodating. Friendly service. I love Truffles, when in ironbridge a must visit! (Their milkshakes are amazing too!)

Stopped off here for a cake and coffee whilst visiting Ironbridge. So good we returned for a late lunch a few hours later. Delicious food at a reasonable price. The cakes are amazing. So good, I forgot to take a photo before we ate them. Highly recommend the club sandwich...which I did take a photo of.

First time in Ironbridge and looking for a place to stop for lunch. In popular tourist destinations this is something I always find difficult as often end up disappointed. Having wandered up and down the high street and checking reviews though I have to say I pulled a blinder with this selection. I chose a cheese and sausage toasted sandwich, very generously portioned, tasty and moreish, and a side bowl of chunky chips, adding a refreshing cold drink the bill came in at a very reasonable price. The cafe had good ambience, if a little quiet, although that could have been due to the time of the year, I did find the decor a little confusing, maybe though it is this quirkiness that makes this cafe special, and it probably fits the nature of the town. Big bonuses here for the friendliness of the staff, the view, and the fact that it was very dog friendly with special little treats issued to your furry pals.

Umami World Kitchen Buffet Restaurant in Telford offers a luxurious dining experience with a diverse buffet featuring over 100 cross-cultural cuisines. The restaurant impresses with its exceptional variety of thoughtfully prepared dishes from around the globe, making it suitable for casual dining or special occasions. Despite some minor issues with reservations and dish labeling, the reasonable pricing and delicious offerings make Umami World Kitchen a great choice for those who appreciate Asian cuisine and delectable ice cream.
Excellent restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and attentive at all times but never in your face or pushy. The food choice was excellent and catered for our groups various tastes and allergies. Such a wide variety of tasty foods and puddings that appeared to be being topped up and replaced constantly. The restaurant wasn't full when we visited ( 1845 to 2015 ) but it certainly wasn't empty and yet the ambience was excellent allowing for easy conversation round the table and virtually no queues for any food dishes We will certainly be visiting again.

I recently visited Umami Buffet in Telford and came away with mixed feelings. There’s no denying they offer a solid selection of East Asian dishes, which for me was the highlight of the experience. The sushi was fresh and nicely presented, and I was happy to find vegetarian-friendly options like custard buns — a rare but welcome treat. These dishes showed thought and care, and it’s clear this is where the kitchen shines. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the other cuisines on offer. The Indian section felt like an afterthought — the only vegetarian curry available was overly sweet, and the Bombay potatoes had an oddly sickly flavour that didn’t sit right. Similarly, the carvery section was uninspiring, with the macaroni and cheese essentially just pasta in a bland white sauce — no actual cheesy taste to speak of. It feels like Umami is trying to do too much, which dilutes the overall quality. I honestly think they’d be better off leaning into what they clearly do best: East Asian cuisine. Focusing solely on this and expanding the range and quality would make the experience far more consistent and enjoyable. As for the dessert station — not bad, but not amazing either. It covered the basics well enough, but the fruit selection was disappointing. There were only a few old bananas out, some of which had already split open. A bit more care here would go a long way in rounding out the meal. Overall, Umami has potential, but it would benefit greatly from narrowing its focus and doing fewer things better.
Kungfu-pigeon — Google review
The decor is modern and minimalistic. The floor staff are welcoming and tentative but it can be a bit slow considering the amount of staff was working there. The chefs on the roast station was slow coming out, speaking the own language whilst serving us and service with a smile goes a long way. Good selection of Chinese and Indian cuisine, with some range of sushi, pizzas and roast meat. Good selection of dessert. Food was average, not sure if it's been sat there for too long underneath the hot lights but some of the food was overcooked and hard. Or the chefs were having a bad day? Personally would recommend the sweet and sour, char sui, sushi, salt and pepper chicken poppers and prawns. Don't recommend crab claws or butter chicken. Might give it another try another time to see if it's better.

If you’re planning a meal out as a group and need somewhere that caters to all tastes, @umamitelford is a solid choice. With a huge variety of dishes on offer, it’s the perfect spot for both adventurous eaters and those who like to stick to their favorites. The best part? You get 90 minutes to indulge in as much as you like, making it great for those who enjoy a bit of everything, while also allowing pickier eaters to grab exactly what suits them. Dishes included curries, crispy duck pancakes, and the BBQ section, which is a treat for meat eaters with the Char Siu pork and short rib. The food is regularly replenished, ensuring everything stays fresh, and the place is kept clean and well-maintained. The service is casual, friendly, and exactly what you’d want from a relaxed group dining experience. At £20–£22 per person (depending on the day you visit), it might seem a little pricier at first, but considering you’d spend about the same on a three-course meal elsewhere, it’s a fair price. There’s also a great kids’ deal at £10.99, and with a massive dessert section complete with ice cream cones, chocolate fountain, and pick-and-mix sweets making it an ideal spot for parties too. We visited with family, and everyone had a nice time. Plenty of options, good service, and a laid-back atmosphere. If buffet style dining is for you, umami is worth a visit.

I was a bit disappointed with the selection of the food, quite alot of stuff I picked up had chilli on so I couldn't eat it, didn't say there was chilli on the information that I saw. The salt and pepper prawns were in shells and weren't deveined if I'd have noticed before I wouldn't have picked them up! Run out of duck, corn on the cob and jelly. Chinese section was 3 lots of rice 2 lots of noodles and then only a few main dishes was quite underwhelming. When they say crab they mean those cheap crab sticks. Mint sauce for poppadoms was disgusting. Popadoms had gone stale. The salad and sushi is on the same line as the puddings so that was confusing. Good selection of cake. Fruit was orange or very green banana. Ice cream was out of order.

Me and my fiancé went for my birthday meal and the food was amazing overall, especially the Salt & Pepper Prawns and Sweet & Sour chicken. It was cosy with beautiful decor, like the leaves across the ceiling and cherry blossoms at the entrance. The service was great and the seating was comfortable. Very glad to see they've added refillable soft drinks since our last visit! Only downsides were that the broccoli and cauliflower were a bit too hard for my liking and I'd love to see boneless Salt & Pepper chicken, but I’ll definitely be back!

Historical landmark
The Iron Bridge, constructed in 1779, stands as a remarkable symbol of Britain's industrial heritage. The project involved various stakeholders and partners, including Historic England and the local authority. Funding was provided by English Heritage and donors like the Hermann Reemtsma Foundation from Germany. This iconic bridge, located in Severn Gorge, revolutionized bridge construction with its single cast iron arch spanning 100 feet across the gorge.
See other review (Robin Hood pub), which covers this beautiful town in much more detail. I will travel back here one day and spend more time. Unfortunately, I was on my way home, having finished a week away, so I ran out of time. Beautiful place with beautiful people what's more to say. Go visit. I'm sure you'll fall in love with the place, I did.

The Iron Bridge is seriously impressive, especially when you see it in person. It’s such an important landmark—the first of its kind—and you can really appreciate the engineering and history behind it. Walking across the bridge with the river below and the surrounding old industrial buildings gives you a real sense of stepping back in time. Plus, the nearby museums and trails make it a great spot to explore for a few hours. Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful bridge with lovely views over the River Severn - free to see and walk across, and a prime spot in town. Built in 1779, it was the world’s first bridge made of cast iron and became a symbol of the Industrial Revolution. Be sure to pop into the small Tollhouse museum beside it for more insight into its fascinating history.

Ironbridge is an absolutely beautiful place with the world's first iron bridge. We planned to stay here for two days, but we're going to stay for another, because there is so much to see and do. We bought a ticket to all of the Ironbridge museums. It's well worth the money, and the various museums give a wonderful insight into the industrial heritage of the area. If you don't want to pay for the museums, there are enough free museums and lovely shops and walks along the river, in woodlands and in the valleys and gorges.

Nestled in the picturesque World Heritage site of Ironbridge, the Best Western Valley Hotel is a charming retreat housed in a classic redbrick Georgian building. Just four miles from Telford, this delightful hotel boasts stunning views of the River Severn and is surrounded by lush parkland. With 44 uniquely designed ensuite bedrooms, it caters to both leisure and business travelers with its comprehensive conference and banqueting facilities.
Just back from a Dinner, B&B special at the Valley with my wife. We'd previously stayed over for a friend's birthday a year ago. Great location in beautiful Ironbridge with ample parking and nice garden views from the terrace. The restaurant is excellent, dinner was a great experience, lovely staff, great food and choice with both modern and traditional dishes. If I'm being picky some of the tables are a bit close together so next time I'll specify where I want to sit when booking. Breakfast is buffet style and once again the quality doesn't disappoint. Bacon and Sausages clearly sourced from a good butcher, plus the fried eggs had a runny yolk! Rooms are clean but a bit old, so if you're looking for a 5* room the Valley isn't for you. But if you want great value, a nice bar and hidden gem of a restaurant, it's highly recommended.

Great value, staff helpful. Our room must have been the smallest - I’m sure others must have been bigger with better views, ours could have done with a little decorating here and there, but was clean and everything worked. Great choice for breakfast, evening meal was good. Lovely setting in a quiet road, backing onto a park and then the river.

2 night stay early July in a standard double room on a dinner b and b basis. Plus points: Great, friendly staff. Building/rooms very clean and in good order. Amazing food with an excellent selection (dinner and breakfast). No air con in the room but there was a fan. Perfect location. Short stroll along the river bank into Ironbridge Negative points: The mattress was well past its best and needed replacing I would definitely stay again. Excellent value for money.

Deep breath time. Firstly the staff are absolutely superb, nothing is too much trouble for them and they go above and beyond to help. The rooms however are pretty basic for the price, double bed, built in wardrobe and ensuite. Our room ( 5 ) was very small but double aspect, unfortunately looking over a flat roof from both windows. Due to the age and design of the building, there are no lifts to the upper floors. Our room didn't have air-conditioning, just a fan. Now, the negatives. Only 1 bottle of water is provided in the room, not much coffee or milk either. None of this is replaced when the room is made up, so you have to contact reception for extra. This is NOT acceptable in this day and age, and gives the impression of cost-cutting. It should be part and parcel of servicing a room.
David S — Google review
Beautiful Georgian house/hotel set in lovely grounds in superb location. Ideal for a walking/exploring weekend or a romantic getaway. Lovely staff. Nothing was too much bother. Delicious buffet breakfast, but let down with weak tea and very strong coffee, not to our taste. Room was nipping clean; a little bit dated and tired. But wow what a superb super king size bed!!! Can't wait to go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Comfortable room, very clean, quiet. The evening meal was exceptional. Every course was delicious and a good range on the menu to choose from. The wine was really good and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and polite. Would highly recommend a stay in a beautiful location.

We didn't use the hotel but they offer overnight parking spots for motorhomes, which is what we took advantage of. It costs £10, but you get £10 off if you eat in the restaurant, including breakfast the following day. We'd definitely recommend staying as Ironbridge is a beautiful place to visit.
Sue P — Google review
This was my first stay at a Best Western hotel, and I’m not sure I’d be in a hurry to return. Check-in was smooth, though most of it was completed online beforehand. On arrival, the room felt underwhelming. The tea and coffee tray was fine, but there was only one bottle of water provided for two guests. Something as simple as one per person would have met expectations. The décor in places could do with touching up, and cables had been crudely tacked along the wall. The bed initially seemed comfortable, but more on that later. We had dinner in the restaurant and couldn’t fault the food or service. Breakfast was also tasty and well presented, with friendly staff. Unfortunately, the experience was disrupted when the fire alarm went off. Guests were directed outside, but no headcount was done at the assembly point, and upon returning I noticed that no staff had directed anyone to the nearest emergency exit. This felt concerning from a safety perspective. The lack of soundproofing was a real issue. We could hear absolutely everything from the neighbouring room, from light switches and the toilet seat to conversations and even the bathroom fan that ran constantly. Once in bed, the pillows proved very poor, offering no support and resulting in a restless night. The information pack stated extra pillows were available in the wardrobe, but this wasn’t the case, so we had to call reception for more. Unfortunately they were just as uncomfortable. The bathroom was also disappointing. The shower was awkwardly positioned under a sloping ceiling, meaning I kept hitting my head. The complimentary toiletries were basic and felt cheap. There are no lifts in the hotel, so be prepared for stairs. Around the property, at the bar, reception, and even on the back of the room door, there were QR codes and tap-to-pay devices for staff tips. While I appreciate staff recognition, the presentation felt overbearing and somewhat off-putting. Overall, the food and service in the restaurant were excellent, but the room, noise issues, poor sleep quality, and safety concerns significantly let the experience down. Unfortunately, a comfortable night’s rest is the main reason we stayed, and on that front the hotel failed to deliver.

Exotic Zoo Wildlife Park, located in Telford, is a community-driven and family-led zoo that prioritizes sustainability, education, and conservation. Despite being smaller than commercialized zoos, it offers a unique experience where visitors can get up close to the animals. The park features various zones such as Desert Zone, Rainforest Zone, Nocturnal Area, and a petting farm.
Our first time visiting the Exotic Zoo, and it was wonderful! It was nice and quiet during the week, and we were able to see everything the zoo has to offer. We had pre-booked an Armadillo Experience, and staff member Simon was such a lovely and knowledgeable host for us - thank you! We also had lunch at the Jungle Cafe with great customer service. We would definitely visit again! 🐾

Such a lovely hidden gem of a zoo! We came here as I booked an armadillo encounter for my boyfriend’s birthday a couple months ago, and it didn’t disappoint. With purchase of the encounter, you also get entry to the zoo. They had loads of animals, and some I haven’t seen at any other UK zoos before like skunks and maras. As soon as you enter you have a capybara and call duck exhibit and a sea otter exhibit. The sea otters were adorable, I’m a bit biased though as they’re one of my favourite animals! They were very vocal with loads of little squeaks. We looked around for about an hour, and even got to go into the rabbit enclosure and feed them some veggies while getting strokes in. You can also buy some farmyard food at entry to feed the wallabies, maras, goats and horses, which was so worth it to feed the adorable horse they have! We had our armadillo encounter with Kennedy and she was absolutely amazing. She was so knowledgable on the little “armoured dogs” hehe and she was so kind and friendly. We held one of the two 3 banded armadillos while he curled up, these were housed with some marmosets which loved playing with my phone and perching on our shoulders! We then fed and stroked/gave back scratches to the two girl 6 banded armadillos. Kennedy told us we got lucky as usually they were tired after they’d eaten and they would lie under their heat lamp, but they loved exploring around our feet and standing up on their hind legs to get a better view of us! Our experience was about 30 minutes and it was perfect, I couldn’t recommend it more! I already want to go back for their otter experience haha. Thank you Kennedy and the other lovely staff at the zoo, it was a memory my boyfriend and I won’t forget!

Me and my girlfriend visited Exotic Zoo after purchasing a voucher for an armadillo experience. It was a lovely zoo with very welcoming staff including a lovely girl called kennedy who did our armadillo experience, she was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and made sure we had a great experience. It was well worth the money for both the experience and the zoo itself. I would urge anyone to visit the zoo as it is a lovely experience and worth the very fair price that it costs.

We loved our ‘Armadillo Experience for Two’ and meeting and learning all about the armadillos - both the three-banded and the six-banded! Melon, the three-banded one, is able to curl herself up into a ball and be held, and she looks so funny when she scurries across the floor on her tiptoes! The six-banded one was lovely and more than happy to be fed live mealworms by us. It was great seeing them up close and being given so much information about them - Kennedy really knows her stuff and exudes genuine enthusiasm and care for the creatures!

Again, great value for money, the meerkats were practically sitting on our hands 🥹. Kennedy (I hope I spelt her name right!!) was our keeper and she was SO lovely, she answered all our questions and told us so much about the meerkats, she was super down to earth too. Came for a few day drinks with the mother, guys at the bar were great with their service and very prompt, very chatty and friendly, drinks were fab and prices were good. Music to make a comfortable atmosphere and the place was very clean. Would recommend.

A lovely relaxing atmosphere with very attentive staff. They have an amazing twist on traditional cocktails. The 'Lemon Meringue Pie' was absolutley out of this world, never had anything like it, just wow! I will 100% be back when I next have my business trip!

Amazing experience! I booked here for my hen do and we had such an amazing time. The two guys that took the class were fantastic and I could not recommend them enough. They absolutely made the experience and were highly entertaining. Thankyou for a great night.

In the city for a congress and popped in after having some food else where. Hospitality was amazing from the start with Beast! Such a friendly and lovely man. He did everything to make my friend and I feel safe in the establishment. Inside drinks and service were also great. (We ordered 'spectrum', 'charred caramel' and 'rainbow ice teas' - and all were very tasy and visually pleasing). I wish I lived closer so I could visit again and try the whole menu!

I really like the Liquor Lab. Very modern inside with a friendly and trendy vibe. When you are inside it doesn't feel like you are in Telford but in the middle of the city like Birmingham or London. They have 241 offers and the cocktails taste great. This place is usually busy in the evenings and the comfy chairs tend to be taken, But we usually come here for a few drinks before going for a meal.

Friendly staff who are attentive and take allergies very seriously, tasty cocktails and nice environment. Highly recommended.

The Coracle Micropub is a must-visit spot for craft beer enthusiasts in the UK. It offers a diverse selection of beers and ales, including IPAs, pale ales, stouts, and sour beers. As Telford's first real ale micro pub, it features an ever-changing variety of cask and keg ales from top makers. The cozy atmosphere and knowledgeable staff make it an ideal place to sample different brews.
A great pub for the beer drinking enthusiast! Something different from the chain pubs in Ironbridge. Always a great selection of different ales and lagers and a buzzing atmosphere. An absolute don’t miss if you fancy a quality beverage in Ironbridge or even anywhere near Telford, for that matter!!

Decent selection of cask and keg small brewery ales. Conveniently in centre of Ironbridge, close to the bridge. It is quite small, but it is a micropub

Cracking micro pub with a great selection of beers! Only a strong imp stout missing! This would be my local if I lived here!

Fantastic place to try different ales. The locals are helpful with beer choices if you are not sure what to try. The beer flight is a brilliant way to try 3 different beers. They are also able to put a beer you like into a can whilst you wait, that's right, they can a beer while waiting. What a fantastic idea. We will definitely be going back to try some more beer. A highly recommended Micropub.

Some amazing beers available here. They also have a good range of spirits. I tried the IPA and the chairman’s reserve spiced rum and they were both amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful

Cozy friendly little micro pub. A great selection of specialist beers

A great pub, wide selection of beers & ales. The barman couldn't offer food but they did do a complementary cheese board. Definitely worth another visit.

Great micro pub with expansive range of cask beer. Boardgames to play. Friendly atmosphere. Views of the Ironbridge from back window. Would recommend!
