What a great restaurant tucked away from the craziness of the high street in Ubud! High quality food and drinks, served with great attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. We sat at the bar which was great and the bartenders really looked after us 🍸 Don’t skip the lobster dumplings. Probably one of the best I ever had, really appreciated the generous ratio of lobster 🦞 The beef rendang was 🤌🏼 and I really enjoyed my grilled baby chicken. An explosion of flavour in all dishes, without being too spicy.

We had an outstanding experience at Hujan Locale. The local cuisine was exquisite, with fresh ingredients and every dish bursting with flavour, elevated by a touch of sophistication. It’s certainly not the cheapest restaurant in Ubud, but absolutely worth it. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and warm. The setting is charming, a typical local-style restaurant, yet with exceptional attention to detail and a beautifully maintained atmosphere. We tried the crispy chicken and pork batagor dumpling, the slow-cooked beef rendang, and the Acehnese chicken korma, all of which were utterly delicious. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!

I really wanted to like Hujan Locale, but honestly, it just didn’t live up to the hype. Or the price tag. For 330k, I was expecting something exceptional, something that justifies the upscale branding. Instead, what I got felt no different from what you’d find in a good local warung—except here, you’re paying triple for the same experience. The beef rendang, which should’ve been the highlight, was average at best. Flavor was fine, but not memorable. I’ve had rendang from tiny family-run spots that easily outshine this one in both taste and soul. Even the presentation lacked finesse. The ambiance was pleasant enough, but the service crossed into overbearing. The staff seemed to lose their minds over the fact that I had a bottle of energy drink with me—even though I wasn’t drinking it. The way they reacted was unnecessary and frankly insulting. For a restaurant that tries to present itself as refined, that kind of attitude felt petty and off-putting. Overall, Hujan Locale feels like a place coasting on reputation and aesthetics rather than substance. The food is decent, but if you actually care about flavor and value, you’ll find better—and more authentic—meals in the warungs down the street.

Hujan Locale is amazing. The venue is gorgeous and stepping in feels like you’re stepping into another era. The staff are professional and nice - delivering service with a smile. The food is fantastic - each meal providing a different range of flavours and textures. Each dish tastier than the next. Overall we have a GREAT experience and will return. It was on the pricier end of the spectrum but worth every cent - a nice treat!

We were recommended this place and it certainly did not disappoint! We came without a booking but were able to sit downstairs in the bar area and order all the food. The cocktails were great and the food was amazing. Some really interesting and unique flavours all round with too many dishes to recommend! Wish we had come another night to try some more.

We really enjoyed our time at Hujan. We chose the menu proposed and were absolutely not disappointed! Food was very tasty, some of classic Indonesian food but twisted in a very original way. Would definitely recommend it !

In our 2 stay last year and this year, this was the best restaurant we've found in Ubud and Bali in general. Welcoming staff. 🙏 Can be a bit pricey but not overpriced like other places where the food isn't good by the way. Here you'll have great food (at least if you try our recommandations).. 👍 Special mention for the beef rendang, the scallop (starter) and the dessert mango 🥭- coco 🥥 in granite style. Disappointed by the tuna (starter) though, which was lacking a bit of taste and some 'peps' . wish the tuna had come with a sauce similar to the one that came with the scallop... Also, people complaining in the comments are just people without any taste who enjoy Coca, Fries 🍟, and Burgers 🍔/ pizza 🍕 🤦

One of the best bar kitchen in town. They serve a lot varieties of excellent cocktails. We had a couple visited in September, we had felt enjoyed spent our time to had dinner here. Pay attention staff and better make a reservation in advance.

Ibu Susu in Ubud is an absolute must-visit! The food here is just incredible, bursting with flavour and beautifully presented—every dish we tried left us wanting more. Their cocktails are honestly the best in town (you have to try them all!), and the bar team really knows how to impress. The staff make every meal a delight with their next-level friendliness and warm hospitality. On both of my trips to Ubud, I found myself coming back to Ibu Susu at least four times each visit—that’s how good it is! I’m already looking forward to my next trip back. My absolute favourite is the Snapper Ceviche, which I still crave every day. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!

This is by far one of my favourite places in Ubud! If you're looking for delicious food, the perfect hand crafted cocktails, great atmosphere, topped off with fantastic service, look no further! I am still working my way through their menu, but so far have absolutely loved the chicken wings, steamed buns and dim sum, the red snapper carpaccio is unreal! We had the duck pancakes and the beef randang which were so yummy!!! The pandan crepe and chocolate brulé are the perfect desserts! Ketut and his super team of bartenders and mixologists bring out new flavour combinations with their monthly cocktail specials, plus a great happy hour makes it so easy to keep coming back!! Highly highly recommend!!

While the food and cocktails at IBU SUSU are phenomenal (bartender Agung made me personalized drinks I'm still craving!), it's the staff that truly makes this place exceptional. Indra was our guardian angel for the evening. He greeted us, helped with parking, and provided impeccable, warm service all night. Sambo and Srik were also wonderful. We were amazed that every single team member, from the waiters to the bartenders, had complete and total knowledge of the entire menu. Their expertise is astounding. A final note on the owner, Ketut—he was so involved we didn't even realize he was the owner until the end! That hands-on approach reflects in the incredible service culture here.

I love Ibu Susu. Laid back, great decor and lovely food. You won’t find a better selection of cocktails in Ubud. And I genuinely think the chocolate crème brûlée is one of the best desserts I’ve had - ever (and I’ve eaten in lots of great places around the world!). The staff are very attentive and the food is really tasty. Clearly a place that has had a lot of thought and love poured into it. As Ubud becomes increasingly commercialised, its lovely to see a place that still has an indie vibe!

The bacon was perfectly crispy and the garlic mushrooms were absolutely amazing on the Benny brunch. Merta was super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything we needed was taken care of. Couldn’t have asked for better service!

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The cocktails were perfectly crafted (🔝), the dinner dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented, and the dessert was a delightful finish. The staff were not only professional but also incredibly accommodating — they kindly customized a dish to make it fully vegan for me, and it turned out to be delicious!

The barramundi fish burger and super food bowl are definitely recommended😍. Salmon on the Rye ingredients could have been more. It's a nice place in central location. The staff is attentive and the service is fast. Definitely recommended🫶🏻✨.

A charming place for any time of the day. The food is very good, especially the breakfasts - there are many options and all delicious. They also offer a wide variety of dishes for lunch and dinner, and the truth is that everything is great. The attention is another strong point: the waiters are very friendly and attentive, always with a smile. Especially Ririn, one of the waitresses, who makes the experience even more pleasant with her sympathy and excellent treatment. Without a doubt, a place where it is nice to return again and again. Watercress Ubud is the place to be on a Saturday night! The live music creates such a great vibe, lively but not overpowering, perfect for a relaxed evening. The waiters here are a rare gem: super attentive, genuinely friendly, and they actually know the menu. Their recommendations were spot on, making it easy to try dishes we might have otherwise missed. We kicked off the night with a refreshing cocktail (highly recommend doing the same!), and everything that followed was just as impressive. Bonus points for their kids’ drawing menu, such a thoughtful touch that kept our little one entertained while we enjoyed our meal. If you’re in Ubud and want a place with great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere for both adults and kids, Watercress is an easy choice. Can’t wait to come back!

Donna was truly an amazing dining experience for us. The dishes were delectable, cocktails & coffee were palatable and hospitality was incredible. We were warmly welcomed and treated by the staff. I believe the manager on duty (her name slipped my mind but we managed to take a picture together) attentively checked up on us. She even introduced us to Donna’s sister company, Ivy Cafe (which didn’t fail to impress us as well). Heads up, make a reservation at least one day before

My wife has a severe peanut allergy and this is the first place in Bali that catered for it and cared. The food was also absolutely phenomenal. I’m not even joking. Each dish was instagrammable and the taste was second to none. The service is worthy of Michelin star. Well done to all the staff that work there. It’s an amazing place and I can’t wait to come back before we leave. The drinks were sensational too. Honestly I can’t rate this place highly enough. Thank you once again for an amazing meal. My wife will talk about this his for decades, and so will I. If you’re in Ubud you MUST have a meal here.

Excellent tasting and well presented food at a reasonable price. I would personally recommend the Tasmanian Salmon and definitely the Donna dessert. Table next to us were celebrating a birthday and the other side came to celebrate their last night in Bali. It is a special venue. Be sure to book in advance as it os very popular and we could not get a table when we tried to book the first time.

Had good dinner but the weather was so hot and humitted so hard to forcus on food. I had vegetarian menu and it was very nice but for me, it was little bit oily( grilled vegetables ). When you are bit tired of Balinese food, here is good to try. in Bali it is so hard to find the place under the air conditioner, and need to worry about mosquitoes all the time can not pay attention to food :(

Full of flavor but so well balanced flavors. We finished with the cream brûlée and tiramisu. We were in heaven! Later on we went upstairs for some Shisha. Bold flavors with light clouds of smoke. The place has a beautiful vibe. The atmosphere, the music and the attentiveness of the staff. Thank you and we will definitely revisit.

TLDR: Good service, comfortable atmosphere, great drinks, food was okay for meat eaters, but disappointing if you are veggie/gf We came here for dinner tonight and had a mixed experience. I’ll start with the positive, the service: as you’d expect in Bali it was warm, friendly and very attentive. The space itself was clean, comfortable and well looked after too. The drinks we had were excellent as well, and the 2-4-1 happy hour is great value. The food was a mixed bag and didn’t blow us away. My partner is vegetarian and gluten free, and she ordered the roasted beetroot for her main. When the plate arrived it was quite bare - 90% beetroot with a few greens and cubes of cheese doused in vinegar. There wasn’t anything else to it like a filling base of mash/rice/greens to justify listing this as a “main” in the menu - maybe this one’s on us for not looking at the menu detailedly enough, but if something is listed as a main I expect it to be more filling. As a side or starter, it would’ve been okay. I had the ribs which were very flavourful, but laid on top of a papaya salad which had too much vinegar for my liking. The tres leches for dessert was good. Again, top stars to the staff for noticing my partner wasn’t wild on the beetroot and offering to remove it from the bill. The surprise amouse bouches were great too. I would come back if they expanded their gluten free offerings!

Everything about Copper was truly outstanding. We had the pumpkin soup, pork ribs, and duck — each dish was exceptional. The pumpkin soup, in particular, was soulful and comforting, perfect for a cool, rainy evening. The focaccia they served was absolutely divine. Every dish was a five-star experience, made even better by the warm and genuine hospitality of the staff. Amazing from every angle.

The restaurant is beautifully designed, and the staff is very professional and friendly. However, we had much higher expectations for the food. We started with welcome cocktails and a small bite, which was a very nice touch and tasted good. Our mocktails were also enjoyable. For a starter, we ordered the jumbo shrimp – it looked great on the plate, but serving just one shrimp (where 70% of it is shell and head) was definitely not a good idea- anyway the sauces used in this dish were excellent and gave it an amazing flavor. Next came the chicken breast sous vide – it was simply fine. The portion was small (as expected for this type of restaurant), but the grey sauce was not good, while the vegetables were perfectly julienned and delicious – though again, there was very little of them. The ribs were just average, and unfortunately, they didn’t fall off the bone as they should have. The vegetables they were served on were far too vinegary. The potato purée, on the other hand, was tasty and served in a generous portion. The salad we ordered to go with the starter was also just okay Overall, a pleasant experience with excellent service and a few dishes that really stood out, though there is still room for improvement when it comes to balance and portions.

My wife and I visited for the special romantic dinner during our honeymoon. We were given a table surrounded by flowers in the shape of a heart, in a secluded offshoot of the main restaurant which we had all to ourselves. We were treated like total VIPs as we were served a multi-course set meal (with much flexibility for substitutions) and wine pairing. The main restaurant is already beautiful, but we were treated in such a way that the other patrons must have been wondering who we were. The food was delicious. The presentation beautiful. Atmosphere out of this world. The staff take a lot of pride in their work here, and it is a very special place. I'm told that they grow all of their own vegetables on-site, and prepare basically all food and components from scratch. It really shows. Ria in particular was a joy to talk to and took super great care of us. My only regret is that we did not reserve a room here when we were setting up our honeymoon, but we certainly will if we're ever back in town. The VIP romantic dinner (here in particular) is a once in a lifetime experience. Don't pass it up.

This was the best meal we’ve had in Bali. We walked over two miles to get to this pace and it was well worth it. We got the prawns, tofu, wagyu and the ribs. All were 12/10. The cocktails were delicious as well and they give you a nice hold towel when you come in to cool you off they also gave us a couple lemongrass shots and bread with pumpkin spread. Very nice servers, would happily go back!

We came in and tried their new dinner menu. The gili curry clams and sticky pork ribs were absolutely delicious! A must try As a vegetarian, I must say the cauliflower steak had this creamy cajuny sauce that was really tasty. Our group also ordered a risotto to mix it up and it was also very savory and delightful.

Beautiful rooftop and great service! Meal began with focaccia, lemon sipping drink and veggie skewer. We enjoyed the food with both Indonesian dishes and other cuisines. Recommend eggplant appetizer, lobster fried rice, rendang, and pork ribs. Very tasty cocktails as well!

A nice change from the traditional Balinese food. We had yummy ceviche consisting of fish and seafood. My husband and I both had fish dishes to follow which were both delicious. The gnocchi was pillowy and so good! We had beer and wine and I also had one of their passion fruit juices which was delicious. Overall a great experience

Incredibly delicious and nicely presented food. Prepared on the level of fine dining without the frills. I had the lamb skewers, broccoli, and mash. All of them were 10/10. Finished with chocolate cake which was good as well. Great attentive service as well. Highly recommend this place. I'm excited to come back and try more of the menu.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Pica. The service was lovely and incredibly quick, making us feel well taken care of. The food was simply amazing, every dish was bursting with flavor. Really enjoyed dinner at PICA in Ubud. The place is small and cozy, service was friendly, and the food was fresh and flavorful. We had 7 dishes degustation dinner, it was amazing ! The ceviche and faut cheese soufle were highlights, and the passion fruit juice were spot on. Worth it for the quality and atmosphere.

We love peruvian food and Pica is now on the top of our list. We love the Japanese Sakashi oyster (so fresh and tasty), their ceviche, the cerso confitado (one of the best pork belly we ever had). The final touch is the peruvian dessert, tres leche (to die for, we literally lick the bol!). The service is also very efficient and nice staff. Thank you!

This restaurant was so delicious we went two nights in a row! The staff were very attentive and kind, and the food was amazing!! I got the steak frites, and that was the best steak I’ve ever had. Great place right off a quiet street. Nice dining at the back in the garden facing the hotel. The nasi goreng was very local and delicious. The tuna bowl was refreshing and delicious. And the fruit bowl was fresh and sweet.

Seriously the best restaurant I ate at in Bali. We stayed at Dinara Hotel and they included breakfast from Melali. You can order a healthy and delicious breakfast with choice of coffee or tea and fruit juices. Everything was fresh and rivals the best brunches I have had in L.A.

Milk & Madu is such a lovely spot for breakfast in Ubud! We ordered the Eggs Brekky, Orchard Bowl, and Madu Pancakes all three dishes were absolutely top-notch, fresh, and full of flavor. The staff were welcoming and courteous, which made the experience even better. The place does get quite busy in the mornings, but the lively atmosphere and cozy ambience make it worth it. Definitely a must-visit in Ubud, and I’d love to come back again!

Absolutely loved our lunch at Milk and Madhu! The service was top-notch – we’re super picky vegetarians (no egg, no fish oil) and Captain Puspa and Novi were amazing, guiding us through the menu without batting an eye. She suggested the Summer Slice Pizza and OH MY GOD – best pizza EVER. I seriously still can’t get over how good it was. Big shoutout to the team for making a Milo Shake for us, even though it’s supposed to be just for kids. That was such a nice touch! We had an awesome lunch and can’t wait to come back soon. I came here on a Sunday to try their special brunch, and it was such a great way to start the day! I had the cheeseburger with a beer — absolutely delicious and satisfying. Then I couldn’t resist trying the dessert: an apple crumble pie with ice cream. It was simply amazing! I left with such positive vibes and a big smile. The atmosphere here is wonderful- friendly people, great music, and an overall lovely energy. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to:)

We came here based on reviews and had breakfast and dinner. Everything was great. They had breakfast promotions, and it was incredibly crowded. A line formed after we sat down, but it wasn't as crowded that evening, so we enjoyed our meal comfortably. Since we don't eat pork, they offered to swap our menu items for other items, which was very nice. We enjoyed the lasagna for dinner. The ice cream is safe, and the food is delicious. We recommend it.

Nice atmosphere in the morning and in the evening because inside gets too hot at noon (due to big glass windows). You can enjoy great cocktails (you pay one get two during the happy hour). I ordered grilled fish and salad -the portion was a bit small- but it was really delicious. Prices are a bit above average. Service was very fast.

The food here is soo good!! The smash burger was so juicy and flavoursome, and the fries were nice and crispy! My boyfriend got the chicken Parma which was one a deal for 99k, and he thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff were super friendly and even let me do some colouring haha they also offer seltzers on the drink menu which was fun to try! I would definitely recommend to eat and drink at Milk & Madu!!

The atmosphere is warm, bright, and relaxed, perfect for slow mornings or a casual meet-up with friends. The food was fresh, colorful, and perfectly balanced. The chia pudding with dragon fruit, strawberries, and granola was refreshing and not overly sweet, while the poke bowl was packed with flavor and generous portions of tuna, avocado, edamame, and seaweed. You can tell everything is made with care and great ingredients. Coffee was excellent as always — smooth, aromatic, and beautifully served. The staff were friendly and efficient, adding to the laid-back, welcoming energy. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious, healthy, and beautiful breakfast spot in Ubud. 5/5.

Was having the best morning here, having my proper breakfast after arriving in Ubud recently. It was the vibe that I enjoyed the most. Felt so nourished and charged being there for 2,5hr. The team there is a group of attentive people and they served genuinely from the heart. Especially Nana. She was such a sweet lady offering me a loyalty card right away. Happy to connect with her. I’d definitely come back and recommend this cafe🫶

I loved my breakfast it was called the chilli bae and it wasn’t very spicy at all. I then got the carrot cake was unreal it tasted fresh, fluffy and homemade, I highly recommend it! Great service by Febri she was wonderful! Thank you!

I tried the lean bowl and dragon punch, and they were delicious. Food portion could have been larger.The upstairs is also ideal for working. The food and service are good.

We had a yummy breakfast here! There was no line to wait and we got seated immediately. We ordered the green smoothie, breakfast smoothie, two sides of scrambled eggs, the classic pancakes, and the berry pancakes. They were all so yummy! The eggs were perfect and the smoothies were refreshing. I think our favorite was the green smoothie. It was yummy!

It’s a small, very nicely appointed, two level dining room, right on MFR. We sat upstairs, which was a little quieter. We grazed on oysters, king prawns, octopus carpaccio, burrata cheese and barramundi. The highlights were the octopus and the king prawns, the least interesting were the oysters. The romesco sauce was a little overpowering. We had a bottle of wine which they kept chilled in a wine bucket, so didn’t try any of their cocktails. Service was very attentive and friendly, and I would consider the value as excellent.

Delicious food at PASIR last night, came here after seeing the menu that reminded me of great food I’d eaten in Israel, hoping for the same kind of tastes and quality and I was not disappointed! Two of us had two small plates, two from the garden plates and one pain and it was a huge amount of food! Each dish was delicious but I especially liked the hummus with crispy chickpeas, and the roast baby potato dish. Cocktails were equally yummy. Only slight downside was that we were taken upstairs as we had booked and there was no one else up there! So atmosphere a bit lacking, would have been better to sit downstairs where it was busier

INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE ON EVERY ASPECT! After a couple days of Asian food, some Mediterranean/European cuisine was much needed and we couldn’t hit it better… Everything was delicious and bargain-priced. One of the best dinners in Bali, if not the one.

FOOD: The menu, while concise, hints at a Mediterranean influence with a notable emphasis on seafood. It's divided neatly into sections featuring appetizers, main courses, and delectable desserts. Eager to sample a variety of offerings, we opted to focus on the appetizer selection. We began with the pasta, featuring prawns and a bisque. The pasta itself possessed a pleasingly smooth and delicate texture, cooked to the very edge of being overdone - although I confess, I generally prefer a more pronounced "al dente" bite. The sauce, however, was a triumph. A rich and intense prawn and seafood flavor permeated every strand, leaning towards a subtle creaminess rather than a dominant tomato base, and demonstrating a masterful balance of flavors. Next came the baked oysters, presented with a duo of intriguing sauces. We were particularly impressed by the consistency and structure of this dish. The oysters were tender, thoroughly infused with the flavors of the sauce, and blessedly free of any excess moisture - a true testament to the chef's expertise. Sadly, the white fish ceviche proved to be less successful. The fish possessed a somewhat peculiar texture and a disconcerting tendency to fall apart. It appeared the fish fibers had been damaged, possibly due to improper thawing techniques. Furthermore, the dish lacked any discernible acidity, resulting in a flavor profile that was decidedly bland. For dessert, we indulged in the coconut crème brûlée. While enjoyable, I confess I yearned for a more robustly caramelized crust of burnt sugar, echoing the iconic crispness of the original crème brûlée. The custard itself was smooth, creamy, and free of any unwelcome graininess. SERVICE: The service was both attentive and efficient. Our order was taken promptly, and the staff demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills. When we expressed our disappointment with the white fish ceviche, we were graciously offered a complimentary dessert, a gesture greatly appreciated and reflective of a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. VERDICT: Overall, we were thoroughly charmed by the cuisine and ambiance at Pasir Ubud. Almost every dish we sampled was delicious and brimming with its own unique personality. If you find yourself in Ubud, I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this delightful restaurant.

Service was impeccable as always - each dish was explained carefully to us. However 4/5 dishes we ordered were disappointing despite so many raving reviews! We were looking forward to this meal but it was definitely a let down - of no fault to the servers so we told them it was great regardless. The only dish we enjoyed were the Lombok Scallops. Grilled Octopus was overcooked and chewy and very bland. Lacked any sort of flavor whatsoever and the same with the Beef Cheek.. Octopus Carpaccio wasn’t horrible but wasn’t anything special either and the same with the Prawn Bisque Tagliatelle. Didn’t live up to the hype for us unfortunately.

Try to get a reservation to secure your spot. I came previous night but it was booked out. Looked good, so had to try. The feta dip with flatbread was really good. Asparagus was well flavoured. Spaghetti surprisingly good and grilled octopus was tender and had good sauce. Coconut panna cotta could have done with more sugar caramelisation at top though. Overall- worth it

Everything we ordered was delicious. We didn’t expect much at first, but it really impressed us! The shrimp was fresh and springy, the spaghetti was great, and the cheese was rich and tasty. The service was excellent as well, , and they also have parking.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with live jazz music providing pleasant accompaniment to the meal. The staff are very attentive. The caprese salad is enhanced by the addition of lettuce and capers with an excellent dressing. The white pizza is disappointing, with a bland taste and sparse toppings, even though the dough is well made. The dessert is uninteresting, with the yoghurt cheese accompanying the torta caprese having an overly strong taste. The Australian Pinot Noir, served at the right temperature, went well with the meal.

Excellent Italian food, faithful to native Italian flavor profiles. As you might expect, coming from COMO, a luxury boutique hotel chain. Highlights: arancini and burrata.

A beautiful setting with incredible food. We had a lovely meal here during our stay in Ubud. The burrata and arancini starters were particular favourites. The restaurant was clean, food well presented and staff very attentive.

Low light. Good live music. It has such an atmosphere. The food was incredible in taste, presentation, and appearance. I had a a very romantic dinner here with my wife during our honeymoon. Santi was a wonderful waitress and helped make our evening extra special.

Sunday brunch was incredible. We had Dewa (I think is his name) serving us and he was so friendly. You can choose whatever you want from the brunch menu (we got A LOT more than what is in the photos) and it was all very high quality, presented beautifully. The pasta was the highlight for me. We were too full to try everything though, so maybe next time. Really nice atmosphere as well.

THE BEST. The service here was the best service I’ve ever had. The guy who served our table was a true gentleman, this man deserves a pay rise explaining all the different types of meat, and letting us try the wine before we got the bottle. The food itself was to die for. Steak cooked to absolute perfection, veggies incredible and chips so crunchy and tasty. The wine was perfectly chilled and tasted delicious. Honestly if you’re in UBUD and want to go to a fancy restaurant with fantastic service and tasty food this is your place.

I had dinner at Batubara Wood Fire and was pleasantly surprised! At first glance, the place looks like a regular Balinese restaurant, nothing too flashy, but once inside it really gives off a great vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and approachable, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding — full of flavor and beautifully cooked. They specialize in steaks, and I loved that they actually bring the cuts to your table so you can choose exactly what you want before it’s prepared. Such a nice touch! While it’s not the cheapest option in town, the quality of the food and service makes it absolutely worth it. I left completely satisfied and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Bali.

The food was generally good. The steak and wild salmon were excellent cuts of protein. The deep fried eggplant with feta was delicious. The calamari was so so and the grilled vegetables were heavy in oil. The creme brûlée wasn’t good at all. The service wasn’t great because they forgot to punch in our order. We were the second table of the night but recieved our food after the 8th table. However, they did give us the dessert for free. As for the atmosphere. A bit dingy for my liking given the price range.

We found this restaurant to be overrated. We arrived at 5:30pm and were only the second table seated. The staff introduced the specials and steaks, and we placed our order shortly after. However, we ended up waiting a long time for our starter — and even longer for our main course. To our frustration, guests who arrived after us were served before us. We flagged the issue to the staff, but no immediate action was taken. When our main courses finally arrived, one of the staff explained that our order wasn’t printed due to a “printer issue” — a frustrating excuse considering we were among the first customers and there were staff standing around chatting. To be fair, the steak and salmon were cooked beautifully. But the side dishes were underwhelming, and the dessert was just average. Prices were also on the higher side. While they did offer a complimentary dessert as part of service recovery, it didn’t quite make up for the unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, we left disappointed and wouldn’t rush to return.

One of the best steaks I've had! The service was also impeccable 😊 The staff were attentive and constantly checked in on us. Truly a gem! Appetizers: 1. Pulpo A La Brasa; Grilled Octopus with mashed potato & Spanish paprika powder (9/10) - Tender and had a slight char to it. The mashed potato had some truffle in it which elevated the dish so much. Texture of the mash was more on the fluid side which also went well with the dish 2. Seafood Canelon with Parmesan Cheese (7/10) - think lasagna sheet wrapped with seafood and cheesy sauce. It was good but nothing impressive. Mains (amazing/10): We Got The Tenderloin Wagyu MB6 (medium rare) and Picanha Wagyu MB7 (medium). Both cuts were wonderful! Personally prefer the Picanha as it was less lean than the Tenderloin and easier to eat. Sides: 1. Papas Fritas; Handcut French fries with skin on (7/10) - Nothing impressive, exactly what you expect 2. Setas A Plancha; Grilled mushroom with parsley & garlic (6/10) - found this dish to be heavy and a tad too oily, which made the meal quite an overkill. 3. Pimiento Rojos Asados; Roasted (sweet) red peppers (7/10) - exactly what you would expect it to taste. As a whole, steaks were amazing, truffle mash was good and octopus was tender and worth a try (these are probably the few dishes that makes me want to revisit this restaurant!)

Everything from start to end was splendid. Puspita attended to us. She was very pleasant, sweet,attentive and I enjoyed the vibes here. loved their Gambas the olive oil was infused with prawn essence we wiped it clean! We had black Angus and Picanha steak and it was delectable

The food and the athmosphere was absolutly amazing. we came just wanting some good steaks and had no idea we got a whole experience with it and fine dining. They cook your meat at the table, take care of you so well, and even started singing for my boyfriends birthday. Yani was our server and she was absolutly great and so friendly. What a great (re) addition to the Ubud dining scene. Chef Blake is an artist and creates innovative but approachable dishes that are perfect for sharing. Not an arak fan but the arak cocktails were also beautifully crafted and the ambiance with the doors all open to the road below (and the heavy rain outside) was magical! Do not miss the pork slider!

I have to say that when we arrived at Spice by Blake and saw an employee outside trying to bring in customers, we were very apprehensive (this was a recommendation by our hotel). In most places in the world this would be an immediate red flag. I am pleasantly surprised and happy to say that we were completely wrong to assume. Everything, from the service, to the food, to the cocktails and the atmosphere was above and beyond our expectations. Most definitely our best meal in Bali, and we visited many restaurants that were twice the price and not even close to the quality that Spice offered. We even went out of our way to congratulate the owner, something i have done maybe once in a lifetime of pigging out at nice restaurants. Can’t recommend the place enough. Just try it, you will not be disappointed.

A Culinary Masterpiece in Ubud , Spice by Chris Salans (Blake) It’s rare these days to find a restaurant where every bite stops you in your tracks, but that’s exactly what we experienced at Spice by Blake in Bali. We ordered the beef tenderloin and the charred king prawns, and both dishes were, quite simply, extraordinary. The beef tenderloin was cooked to absolute perfection, tender, flavorful, and balanced in every way. It didn’t just melt in your mouth; it lingered, in the best way possible. The charred prawns were equally remarkable: smoky, succulent, and kissed with just the right amount of heat and acidity to keep each bite exciting. Chef Johannes Bouwer, with his refined culinary palate, was genuinely impressed. He noted that it’s been a long time since he’s had a dish that wasn’t just well-prepared but truly exceptional. Every element on the plate felt intentional, soulful, and masterfully executed. This meal was not just satisfying, it was unforgettable. Spice by Blake is a reminder of what great dining should be. We’ll absolutely be back. Thank you to the staff and Ms Indah!

I had such a satisfying experience at Warung Bintang Bali, which is located on Jalan Tirtatawar, Ubud. The service was excellent and the food was just PERFECT. REALLY delicious and worth every penny. I ordered the barbecue pork ribs, spring rolls, corn fritters, and everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The homemade chips were also amazing, served hot and really tasty. Great portions, great flavor, and truly good value for money. Their salad is also outstanding !!! Super fresh and flavorful! The arugula, basil, kemangi ( the local Indonesian basil is so fresh ), coriander, beetroot, and the dragon fruit mayonnaise dressing were just perfect. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The staff are really well trained and very professional. They maintain the business very professionally, and the whole experience is honestly a 100000 out of 10. I’m commenting as a chef, restaurant business owner, and food critic, and I highly recommend Warung Bintang Bali if you’re looking for delicious food and excellent service in Ubud ❤️❤️💯

Arcadia is a stunning riverside restaurant in Ubud, perfect for a romantic evening. The ambiance is serene, with the sound of the river creating such a relaxing atmosphere. We were welcomed with complimentary snacks, which was a lovely touch. The dishes were impressive, the burrata & prosciutto was fresh and delicate, the seared foie gras rich yet beautifully balanced, and the 12-day dry-aged duck had incredible depth of flavor. The herb-crusted lamb was tender and aromatic, while the dark chocolate lava cake made the perfect indulgent finale. Service was excellent, warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Overall, Arcadia offers not just delicious food, but a truly memorable dining experience by the river. Highly recommended.

Amazing restaurant. Very cool dark atmosphere and delicious food. We had the Pasture set menu with wine and cocktail pairing. Not cheap but worth it for a great experience. There was an amuse bouche between each of the five courses plus bread at the start so we ended up with 11 different courses in a way! Staff were all super friendly. Food and drink were delicious. Four different set menus to choose from including meat, pescatarian, vege, and vegan so something for everyone. Only thing that slightly brings it down is that the toilets don’t match the standard of the rest of the place. If they were brought up to match the restaurant it would be perfect.

Absolutely wonderful experience here. I used to come when the restaurant was called Bridges and the food and view and interiors are just as stunning if not even better now. The staff are super kind pleasant and welcoming. They gave us free amuse bouche and palate cleansers between courses which was nice. Everything tasted amazing the cocktails were top notch too. One of the best fine dining experiences in Ubud! Excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, and outstanding food and drinks. The restaurant is located under the Ubud bridge, offering a serene river view and calming vibes that make the experience even more special. The dishes may come in small portions, but every bite is flavorful and satisfying, definitely fills you up in the best way. Special thanks to Kak Mely and Kak Febry, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. They helped us prepare a surprise birthday celebration and were extremely kind and helpful throughout the evening. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a romantic or special dining experience in Ubud.

Excellent ~ Beautiful culinary creations, reasonably priced for an upper scale experience. I got the 5 course sea based selection with the cocktail pairings. Most notable was the desert ~ an absolute work of art. The salmon was notable as well - cooked to perfection with crisp skin atop a tangy creamy sauce. Suggestion for the sets - I’d love a mocktail option! Wine and cocktails are great, but many people nowadays, myself included, would prefer to have well crafted drink concoctions along with our meal without the liquor :)

Excellent restaurant. They have 4 différent menus in addition to the a la carte - meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan. We both took the fish and the food was really good and gourmet ! With amuse bouches between the different meals to prepare you for the next dish. Cocktails were really tasty as well The location is next to the river and the service was very attentive. This place was a pleasant surprise! I was one of the first to enter around 12:00pm. The weather wasn’t great but that didn’t stop the amazing service that I received. Staff was 10/10. Sun lounger was 150,000 rupiahs. It came with pool towel and welcome drink. This place is truly a hidden gem located in a busy area near the Monkey Forest. If you want time to relax at the pool this is the place to be. I really liked that they had a swim up bar. Also on the other side of the pool near the sun loungers they had stools & tables in the pool. I spent most of my time on the pool float. Every day club needs one of these! Highly recommend this place!

My 12yo and I were spending a day in Ubud, so I Googled places to swim and found Folk. For $5 you get a towel and access to the pool. This is a special venue. The food is cheap and so fresh - it’s a blessing to be able to swim, grab a cheap and tasty meal, and beer in a beautiful garden. (There is no need to pay for a pergola, the seating is comfortable and naturally shaded).

An amazing place, seemingly out of a dream. We stumbled on it by chance and felt immediately welcome by Made (the manager). The food and drinks were all delicious, and the service was both extremely nice and impressively professional (shoutout to Nadya!). We didn't have our swim suits so we came back the night after and had another great time at the swim up pool bar, entertained by the barman Suar (aka "The Machine"). We wish we could bring the whole place back home! Definitely a must-go.

This restaurant comes with a pool and served outdoor cinema in the night without minimum payment. Outdoor cinema is not always there every night, you need to check their instagram or website for the schedule. Unfortunately, there's a live music bar located in front of this restaurant which music is disturbing the movie. But i guess there's nothing they can do about that. Hope they can have more seating with better chair in front of the screen.

We loved this place so much we went back numerous times during our stay. And I tend to be picky. I imagine though if it was busy, it might be a different experience. Folk is an awesome oasis in the middle of Ubud. This was my experience. It has really good, interesting food, very attentive and friendly service and a lovely pool area with much more interesting cabanas than most of the beach clubs elsewhere. The ONLY downside is the cocktails. They're a bit too uniform, they need some layering of the elements to give them a little more interest. The bar has a few seats in the pool so you can swim up to the bar and sit in the pool. The small tapas that you get free when you pay for entry is really very delicious. All the food was delicious... And interesting. We were consistently impressed with everything we tried.

We did the private cookery class which started with a tour of the local market and restaurant garden to see the spices and vegetables we would be using in our cooking. After a delicious breakfast and coffee (with fantastic coffee art!) we set to work chopping and preparing a fabulous three course meal which we were able to enjoy in the peaceful garden of the restaurant. We learnt a lot about common ingredients and cooking methods used in Balinese cooking and prepared a feast. Our guide and chef were so friendly and nice and guided us through the preparation well. All the ingredients were so fresh and the whole thing was a lot of fun. We highly recommend this experience and we will leave with full stomachs and lots of inspiration for cooking when we return home. Don’t hesitate, give it a go!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Went to the morning market with our lovely guide, then came back to the hotel and cooked a 3 course lunch! The chef and the local guide were warm, friendly, helpful, and made our experience very enjoyable. Would recommend for all ages! Wonderful Balinese food, with wonderful Balinese people :)

We did the private cooking class experience Ayuk and Sumitri. It was great! We started out at the market where we learned about all the local fruits and vegetables. Then we came back, relaxed with coffee and fruits, and then began our cooking class. We prepared three delicious courses and had an overall wonderful experience. They were also able to easily accommodate me being gluten free which was appreciated.

We stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant and bar, as it was a close walk from our hotel. They were offering happy hour - buy two cocktails, get the third free. This is what initially brought us in. However, the friendly staff- especially our server, Arik made us feel right at home and we decided to stay for dinner! Dinner was outstanding and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend this place for food and drinks! Reasonable priced and the view cannot be beat!!

Oh my! The matchacolada is the dreamiest cocktail ever. Unsure how they do what they do but it was a party in my mouth. We came for pre dinner cocktails and loved the view out over the property and beyond. A stunning building full of charm and well managed. It’s got it all from fragrances in the bathrooms, to climate controlled wine cellar, home vegetables for cooking classes and farm to table. Awesome friendly staff. Very talented. We loved our cocktails and will recommend to anyone. If we didn’t run out of time we would be back for dinner.

We really enjoyed our private cooking class with Arik and Putnam… we had an opportunity to visit the morning market and then cook a 3-course meal in an open air kitchen. We enjoyed our lunch in the organic garden. Perfect day!

This place deserve a 6 stars! Many reasons, starting with the staff, they are doing their best to deliver a nice and quick excellent food to customers! That evening?m, the restaurant was full of peeps, and they managed to make everyone happy! The juices were just amazing and I tried the tamarin, felt in love. We also had the vegan or vegetarian sushi as well as the dumplings, just amazing, really! I can feel the taste again while writing this review! Overall it was very cheap for this quality of food. Thanks again for this as I am not vegan or vegetarian myself but I would come back everyday if I was living in Ubud.

I'm probably a bit biased as I'm not a dedicated vegetarian so it wasn't my favourite meal in Ubud. However the price and portion size is excellent. My BF had their Nasi Campur which he gave 10/10.

Just make your way here. No regrets. Vegetarian and vegan mixed rice (Nasi Campur) where you have the flexibility to pick and choose what goes on your plate. A good range of fruit juices and desserts.

Great service, free Wi-Fi, cozy place, reasonable price, great desserts, the miso soup was tasty and warm, the sushi rolls could use more veggie filling, they taste like eating lots of rice. Loved the vegan lime pie and mango coconut pie. Light and cheap and healthy and tasty.

The nasi campur here is awesome! So much taste, and almost all of the options are vegan. The chocolate coconut cake is also very good.

Good spot! Food was good, we recommend the Penang Curry. The chicken burger was lovely but the portion was slightly small. The service was slightly poor, with them forgetting drinks and then bringing them all out at once when the food came rather than the beer and cocktail first. Followed by the wine pairings, if that makes sense. (We did ask for this). The bill was incorrect a few times too, but I’m sure this was just an off night. We would recommend the curry and the wine pairing aspect was a pretty cool addition.

Cute, intimate place. Servers very friendly and food came out super fast. For appetizers, we felt they were good but not great. The "spicy chicken and coconut cream" was not spicy. The "Chicken curry cashew nut" tasted more like a deconstructed satay but lacked acidity. The twist burger was great, as were the pork ribs. The room can get quite loud, especially if there are big tables around, so keep that in mind if noise is a nuisance. Be aware that they add 10% tax + 5% service + 2% for using a credit card...

One of the best meals. Arrived very hungry and tired after a day of commuting. Thankfully service was quick and we were seated promptly without a reservation. Highly recommend the pork ribs.

The snacks were a delightful tease - curry tuna on rice crackers, tuna with nori, curry chicken meatballs. The mains were just awesomely delicious and well-executed by the chef and his team. We had the caramelised pork, spicy pork ribs, green curry with chicken and yellow curry with tuna. We wished we had more days in Ubud to try out every item in the menu (which is full of humorous remarks about their signatures).

I was lucky that TWIST is located directly across from my hotel, so we visited twice during our two-night stay in Ubud. The dishes here are outstanding, especially the pork ribs with sauce, which really impressed me. The green curry is excellent as well. TWIST’s menu offers vegetarian and non-vegetarian options that suit my family’s tastes, and they open early in the morning. Delicious pork ribs that melts in the mouth. One of the best meals I had in Bali. Inside can get a bit dark and gloomy, but the quality and taste of the food is compensating for it. The prices are reasonable and staff are attentive and nice.

However it’s a 30 degree day and air con was not on before we went in and it did not really cool down the indoor temp the whole dinning time. Have to leave the hot inside as soon as we finish the food. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

This place has an awesome vibe. The people working there are really friendly and welcome you right when you arrive. The food tastes amazing and there’s so much variety on the menu that anyone can find something they’ll enjoy. I ordered the skewers plus their fermented drink sampler and everything was fantastic. This restaurant is truly special! I didn’t just love the food… I loved the whole concept. Everything is focused on health and healing. Each dish and drink has its own page in the menu, showing all the ingredients and explaining what they do for your body. It’s so thoughtful and inspiring. They even ferment their own drinks, which is amazing! You can really taste the care and knowledge behind everything they serve. The atmosphere is super peaceful. I went there every day to escape the busy streets of Ubud. Soft, relaxing music plays in the background… The staff are very friendly and kind. One day I sat near the kitchen and saw how well they work together. There was no stress… just good vibes and teamwork. You can feel that the food is made with love and positive energy. I highly recommend the Jackfruit Rendang and the Vegan Wild Forest Cake. Both are absolutely delicious and full of flavor! If you’re looking for a place that feeds your body and soul, this is the one.

I had a wonderful experience at Wild Vegan. Today is my birthday and they made it unforgettable: they prepared a lovely handwritten card with their wishes and served me two slices of cake. I kindly asked for a candle, without really expecting it, and they surprised me by adding it together with the card. The cake itself was simply amazing, one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Wonderful little restaurant right next to and this with a wonderful view on the next door temple with exceptional food. We went there because of the reviews and can only confirm the excellent ratings. Leave room for the desert, the cakes offered are just delightful.

Only came here once but I really enjoyed it. The lentil bolognese was the best one I think I've ever had and their selection of kombucha is crazy! If you're a kombucha lover like myself, you definitely need to come here.

It’s such a cute place with a nice interior design. You feel right at home. The summer rolls and tahini sauce were delicious. I had a delicious turmeric and papaya smoothie. I’ll be back to try the other dishes.

Muse Cafe is a hidden gem indeed. The restaurant is located just a few minutes out of the busy city center of Ubud, making it less noisy and you won’t have to worry about breathing in car exhaust while you eat your breaky which is a huge plus. It is a second story, open air restaurant with beautiful views overlooking lovely palm trees. Plenty of sun all day long. They play calming instrumental music and the entire atmosphere of those place is very calming and serene. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. I recommend the quinoa porridge with fresh dragonfruit, I had it multiple mornings during my stay in Ubud!

A surprisingly fantastic meal! We were drawn in after walking uphill in the heat for a while, and the smell of the sate and grilled fish was tempting. The sate lilit was delicious, alongside the fish. Drinks were also generous and the service was great. We will be back!

We enjoyed a delicious meal here with interesting takes on Indonesian flavours. We ordered the tuna ceviche, Tempe green bean salad, smokey cauliflower with eggplant hummus and Tempe crumb, smoked duck with cucumber salad and another delicious salad. This was a lot for two people and we left very full especially with the kitchen creating a free bite and welcome drink at the start. Walk in through the big open wall facing the street, and boom - smoky aromas, chill vibes, top service, and food that slaps, all wrapped in the buzz and heartbeat of Ubud. Get the beef rendang minang - slow-cooked, spice-loaded, basically a hug on a plate paired with ridiculously fragrant coconut rice. Oooh and the coconut tart with mango sorbet is straight-up dessert sorcery. Already planning my return for the smoked octopus rujak - saw it, wanted it, questioned all my life choices, still not over it. Cocktails are fire too - start with the Bisma Gardens (gin + herbs = 💯). BONUS: It’s part of Bisma Eight, so sneak over to the hotel in the back which is an absolute vibe - think bougie poolside bar, cozy cabanas, and all the laid-back luxe you didn’t know you needed. And definitely don’t skip No Más bar upstairs above Liap Liap restaurant — live music, neon glow, post-dinner party energy, good chaos. Trusttt — you need this in your life. Just book ahead!

Came here twice in three days the food is THAT good!! 🩷 The Smokey flavour from the fire is delicious, I got a seafood platter to myself both times and it’s a great amount if you’re hungry. Came here for a simple lunch and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Chicken Banyuwangi—it really stood out with its spicy, tangy, and savory sauce. The 360° view from every seat is absolutely serene, making it easy to relax, even under the midday Ubud sun. Will definitely come back!

We ordered salted egg cassava, but it came as plain cassava. We double-checked with the server, and she said the salted egg was mixed inside. When we asked for extra salted egg sauce on the side, that’s when she apologized, admitting that the chef had forgotten to coat it with salted egg. Overall, the meal tasted good. The pork is highly recommended, but the Tom Yum had a slightly different taste—it was a bit sweet. Still, it’s acceptable since this isn’t a Thai restaurant.

A lot of tourists come here, and the food is worth it—especially the mantau, the fried mantau is quite delicious. The place also has a nice view, perfect for taking pretty photos. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait, which is understandable since it’s in Ubud, Bali.

Sure, you can visit the multitude of westernised, sanitised and culturally disconnected restaurants and bars in Ubud.... But why would you come to indonesia/Bali and ignore the cultural depth this country has to offer? Do yourself a favour and eat and experience Cerita Manisan at night. A depth of culture celebrated. Perfectly executed. The best restaurant I've ever been to. Anywhere.

The Savoy Cabbage and Crayfish was incredible — so flavorful yet light, and the Tomato starter honestly surprised me with how sweet and fresh it tasted. Half-day well spent at Syrcobase, Ubud. Joined their cocktail workshop, such a fun and unique experience. We got to walk around the regenerative garden, harvest our own ingredients, and use them to craft cocktails later at the bar. The team guided us through the basics of mixology and bar tools, and we each made three drinks. one featuring the ingredients we picked ourselves. Dinner afterward was another highlight. Their Pure Base set menu was beautifully presented, from appetizer to dessert, with creative 0% pairings to match each course. Every staff member was genuinely warm and knowledgeable, which made the whole experience even more memorable.

This place is definitely Michelin material. Upon entering the premises we are so warmly welcome by the security and front desk. We were given a nice little tour, learning about their ethics and the source of ingredients we are about to eat. I genuinely love how they give the credit to their suppliers and farmers with a sweet wall of fame, I think it speak volume of the chef and the people behind the restaurant. The venue is absolutely stunning, the seating is strategically positioned so the guests will have their privacy while still enjoying the surroundings. There is no such thing as “best seat” here as it is all is the best seat. They recently launched a more compact set menu (which we had for the night) that is slightly affordable and makes fine dining more accessible and I have to say quality is not compromised. I personally enjoy the Savoy Cabbage. Duck Betutu got my eyes roll back in delight for a quick minute. Their mains Sepia, nasi ulam was absolutely beautiful! We took the supplement of Wagyu Tokkusen MB5 and it is nicely prepared. Absolutely delicious. I highly recommend their wine pairing. It is well selected and a wonderful addition to the experience. Brace yourself for their desserts, it is so easy in the eyes and i finished it in less than 5 minutes. Compliment to Chef Sycro and shoutout to Charlotte for her impeccable hospitality. Definitely recommend this place in your bucket list when you are in Ubud.

My main skewed sweet, which some will love, and the rice was softer than I’m used to, but everything was clearly made with care. Price felt fair for the quality. Can’t wait to return!

Beautiful place and good food! Busy place next to the street, not cheap but the execution of the food, presentation and taste were outstanding. Highly recommended when in Ubud! Make sure you have reservation so there will be no wait. My favorite was the rib eye steak, medium rare and it was extremely juicy and delicious! A must try 😊 although they have to work on their fish dishes as some were overcooked. Too much cumin with some of their appetizers.service was excellent though.

Honey & Smoke in Ubud is a must-visit! The vibe is trendy and upscale, with amazing food and great service. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but the flavors, presentation, and execution are absolutely worth it. We ordered four small dishes and one entrée to share, and it was the perfect amount for two people. Every bite was full of incredible flavor. I highly recommend making a reservation since it gets busy, and you definitely don’t want to wait. Highly recommended when in Ubud — I absolutely loved it!

Incredible grill - the best meal we’ve had in Ubud. We did the ‘Feed Me’ menu and they let us swap one of the dishes on there. All the dishes were so well thought out, really sophisticated and amazingly balanced. 5 ⭐ experience all around

We stopped by here after not being able to get a table at Donna or Pasir (which I’d recommend trying). The restaurant itself looks really nice—stylish and inviting—so we decided to sit down for some small plates and cocktails. Unfortunately, both the food and drinks were disappointing. The only dishes I genuinely enjoyed were the romesco and scallops. The vine leaves were just okay, while the tuna crudo was oddly prepared and not something I’d order again. The two cocktails we tried were also pretty average. What made the experience worse was the service—our server came across as condescending and hovered over the table, which made the whole meal feel uncomfortable. Overall, a letdown despite the lovely setting.

Cocktails and food were exquisite with generous portions. The lamb shank was cooked to perfection. Service was very attentive. We preferred sitting upstairs as the seating area downstairs is off the busy road.

My friends had the fish skewers, and fried chicken and strawberry pavlova, which they said were all very tasty. The staff were very nice and helpful. The seating was a bit uncomfortable but otherwise the vibe of the restaurant is nice. The food also has a lot of garlic in, which I could taste for hours afterwards, but in future I would just ask for this to be reduced. Overall, still the best meal I had in Ubud.

The food was delish! we got the dips (the herbed was divine), halloumi (kinda basic but still nice) and the eggplant (soooo good) They have great wines as well which is kinda harder in Bali. There is no flaw in Bacari. Undeniably the most cool & chic place in Ubud. Exceptional wines and especially unique cocktails, that make you question the pop beverages that you so much enjoy on a regular. Out of small plates, chicken liver pate is my most favorite, sourdough and buratta thingy is as well great. The whole menu is well thought of and there are options for any preference. Ambiance is sexy, dimmed and the music fits the venue perfectly. No cringy tracks. Great for those who are looking for a spot for a first date or a stylish girl get–together. The most important thing about this place, is from the moment you enter it, you know it was created by someone with deep knowledge and passion. Almost.. obsession ? P.S. Great painting, would steal.

We absolutely LOVE Galle, it has become our go to for a consistently delicious meal. The space itself is gorgeous, really nice ambience and the staff are so kind and attentive. Our favourites are the halloumi, the pumpkin, chicken curry and yellow rice ~ though it’s very hard to narrow down and I don’t doubt everything else would be equally delicious! A must try if you’re in Ubud.

We were looking for an Indian restaurant while on a visit to Ubud and Galle Club stood out in our search. Our only regret is we did not try it earlier as we would have come again! The service is warm and place took us back to Galle in Sri Lanka. We tried the Lamb curry and it was very good even though we wished it could be more spicy. The prawn appetiser was not what i expected but it was so good we ordered another one. We came a bit early but I only wish the lighting was a bit brighter but i think they are going for a more intimate aesthetic. Good job to Gusde and team for looking after us.

Did a little research before arriving in ubud and stumbled across this place online. I instantly knew I had to visit as I really loved travelling Sri Lanka, especially Galle. I went for lunch today and loved the design and details of the place, the food was great and the berry smash drink was a taste explosion! The owner was very friendly, we had a lovely chat about Sri Lanka and he told me the secret to making the berry smash drink as well as giving a complimentary iced coffee. Hope to go for dinner next time I’m in ubud. 🥰

We were brought here for cocktails by a couple we met by chance. Walking in felt like we'd walked through a secret door. The interior was cozy and slightly dark. We sat at the bar. Their cocktail menu is quite eye-catching; each cocktail has a story. We were blown away! We tried a passion fruit cocktail and loved it! The ice cubes were safe. Unfortunately, we only had the chance to visit once, but it was a flavor that stayed with us and our palate in Bali.

I love the atmosphere at Moon Sipper. It's cozy and the mood is incredibly welcoming. They have an impressive variety of cocktails, and my personal preference is their Banofee. They also have tasty small snacks, and I'll always remember the mouthwatering flavor of their chicken wings. Come there on Friday night as they will surprise you with special cocktails and interesting activities.

The people at this bar really know what they’re doing. Very good cocktails and nice ambience. Everyone’s so friendly and welcoming. I had a really good time and will def come back when I visit Ubud again!

Finally a proper casual bar in Ubud!! It is a perfect place to have after hour drinks with friends or even alone. The place is soo chill, and God damn the cocktails are *chef's kiss*. Great playlist and the music is not loud so you can still talk. Great option if you just want a drink (decent cocktails) without super loud live music. The place is small which gives out intimacy vibes, so maybe it will be a good idea to reserve a place before pulling up.

Order food from them on grab. First arrived 80 minutes after I ordered. I received the food cold as ice. As I was about to throw the food out I noticed a long black hair in the rice. Avoiding foreign objects in food should be an absolute priority for a business so I reported them on grab as it is a health hazard. Absolute disgusting.

Best Ayam Bakar I’ve had in my entire life. Friendly staff too! Never missed to eat it every week.

The food was so tasty and delicious. However the staff were so noisy. They invitied their friend from outside which is she’s not the staff. They talked so loud. It is really uncomfortable. It created a bad environment.
