German restaurant
German Bakery is a popular spot among expats and travelers in Southeast Asia, offering a unique menu not commonly found in the region. The breakfast options are particularly noteworthy, featuring generous servings of eggs, sausage, and various accompaniments. For lunch, visitors can enjoy non-Thai specialties like ham sandwiches. The bakery also boasts delectable desserts that should not be missed.
We were searching for a German Breakfast and we definitely found it. Big Breakfast is to take seriously, Salami, smoked raw ham, Liver paste and a slice cheese with two dark grain Bread rolls and 1 whole Wheat Bread roll, 2 Eggs, Orange juice 185thb. Don't be irritated the picture shows the meat platter from 2 person but still a bug amount.
Heiko S — Google review
Very good German bread and cakes. Last visit bought a delicious stollen. And do try the cinnamon rolls
Chris S — Google review
The German baker is very friendly. His Thai wife is unfriendly (therefore one star is deducted). The large breakfast for 185 Baht was very good and filling.
Eberhard H — Google review
You have to taste the bread and the cheesecake... Delicious...
Manfred P — Google review
I have been here a few times, the baking is great, the people are great and the apple cake is worth stopping in for coffee for. Deli options, bread and sweets. I have never walked out disappointed!
Richard G — Google review
We love the German bakery! Our sons always want to go when we visit saying they have the best “bratwurst and pastries”. Rudi and his wife are always so kind and welcoming. We are eager to visit when they return from holiday.
Katelyn S — Google review
The best breakfast and cakes in town!!! Rudi is a professional baker from Germany and the bread is absolutely fantastic. He also does his own sausages. I was way too full from breakfast to try his cakes but they also look stunning! A must visit when you are in town. Not worth trying anything else!

Flea & Street Markets
Tha Sadet Market is a bustling covered market located on a riverside promenade, offering an array of street food carts, clothing, and local handicrafts. This popular spot attracts both Thai and foreign visitors with its vibrant atmosphere. The market occupies many streets in the center of town and is part of the pedestrian-only zone that includes the riverbank.
Travelled from UndonThani to Nong Khai approx (40 minutes) to see the market which wasvevery thing we expected. Got lots of bargains, plenty to choose from as the shops just go on and on. I had pizza and a iced coconut drink for lunch. There for about 2 hours. Nicebbeing beside the Meekong River.
Gary E — Google review
I love this marked areas it’s just has a different vibe to it and the shops are just PACKED with all things you could ever image and then a bit more. Easy to visit also on rainy days as there’s a roof covering all of the marked area. Very authentic and prices are among the cheapest you will find in Thailand in general. Go see this place. It’s most definitely a must visit place in Nong Khai
Kasper H — Google review
If you’re in Nong Khai, a visit to Tha Sadet Market is a must. Located along the scenic Mekong River, this market offers a blend of local charm and cross-border culture. The market is open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some stalls opening as early as 7:30 AM and staying open until late at night. As you stroll through the covered walkways, you’ll find a variety of goods, from local handicrafts and textiles to imported items from Laos, Vietnam, and China. It’s an ideal spot to pick up unique souvenirs and experience the local shopping scene. Food enthusiasts will appreciate the selection of street food available. From barbecued fish to papaya salad, there’s something to satisfy every palate. Tips for Visiting Tha Sadet Market: • Timing: Visit early in the day to avoid crowds and enjoy a more relaxed shopping experience. • Cash: Bring cash, as many vendors may not accept credit cards. • Bargaining: Bargaining is common, so feel free to negotiate prices. • Exploration: Take your time to explore; the best finds are often in the less crowded stalls. After shopping, consider taking a leisurely walk along the river promenade. On Saturday nights, you might catch street performances, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Tha Sadet Market offers a genuine glimpse into the local lifestyle and is a delightful addition to your Nong Khai itinerary.
Ask — Google review
Tha Sadet Market is one of the largest and most well-known markets in Nongkhai. It used to be very busy and packed with visitors, but nowadays it feels quieter. Still, it’s a great place to explore, especially for cheap souvenirs, snacks, and local products. You’ll find everything from dried goods to clothes and imported items. It may not have the same buzz as before, but it’s still worth a stroll if you’re in town.
Kitsada S — Google review
I visited during the week so maybe the vibe of the market was a bit flat and many stalls were opening later than expected. With it being quiet it was great to just walk around without feeling rushed but it was missing that buzz you would normally get from local markets. It’s worth a visit but nothing special. A weekend visit may feel a bit different.
Anita H — Google review
The food is okay but not amazing. Quite expensive but a lovely spot to sit and enjoy. The staff are very friendly.

Restaurant
Macky's Riverside Kitchen is a popular spot along the river walkway in Nong Khai. It offers a variety of ex-pat food including pies, burgers, Italian and European dishes, fish and chips, as well as authentic Thai cuisine. The restaurant provides great service and a pleasant setting with outdoor seating by the riverside where guests can enjoy sunset views and a nice breeze. The menu features an extensive selection of both Western and Thai dishes, including options for vegetarians.
I went to Macky's two times for dinner. I wouldn’t consider it cheap but the prices are reasonable and every dish I had (Isan/Thai food) was delicious and came in a good serving size even for western tourists. The staff was always attentive and polite. The second evening I got the chance to talk with the owner, who is a friendly lady with good English skills. Personally, I liked sitting outside with a nice view of the Mekong river. In the evenings it can get a little cold if it cools down and there is a little wind. You might want to bring something with long sleeves, especially if you’re sitting there for an extended period of time. Also, I would advise bringing some mosquito-repellent spray because, well… you’re next to water. When I was there, the shop next door always had someone sing to a questionable (regarding the pleasure of that musical experience) karaoke machine with their own guitar added to it. I’m sure they tried to the best of their ability. However, it was unfortunately too loud to just ignore it. It might be an added factor for your entertainment or something you might want to avoid. That’s up to you. Don’t let it keep you from going there yourself and miss out. I would visit Macky's again if I'm back in Nong Khai and recommend you have a taste yourself.
Martin — Google review
This place is a gem! The food was so Delicious and each plate was presented in such a beautiful way. The menu has a wonderful selection of local & American food with a wide variety of choices. We loved visiting with Macky, the owner, and Will for sure visit again. You will not be disappointed.
Ellen T — Google review
Great place along the Mekong walkway and near the market. Friendly staff. Choice of Thai and Western dishes, with many available in a vegetarian version. I liked the yoghurt with muesli and fruit for breakfast.
Marinus W — Google review
Great service, attentive and inviting, definitely the highlight of this place. Nice to be right beside the walking street. Food was good but nothing to be running back for. I think it's a good stop if you are not sure what to eat and want to eat something non-Thai.
Art — Google review
The Western food here is very good and fairly priced, especially given the prime location right beside the Mekong River. We particularly enjoyed the fish and chips, the mushroom and beef pie was also quite delicious. Note: the small Naga statue and Mekong signs are located about 100m east of Macky's restaurant
The T — Google review
Ate here a few times and at different times of the day and all of the food was of really good quality and tasted really good. And so were the drinks. We had Western, Thai and Isan dishes and all of them were very good. They put the tables right by the riverside in the evenings if the weather is good (except on Saturdays, due to the walking street market), so it is perfect for a sunset view and a nice breeze. There is also a nice view from the seats outside. But good anytime of day. One of the daytime staff had a bit of an odd attitude one day, but otherwise the service was good, friendly and as mentioned before, the food quality was good. If ordering eggs in a sandwich, you may want to mention soft fried eggs, if that's what you want, as they tend to cook them then through. See picture. Would be nice if they always brought you a glass of water without asking.
Angie — Google review
If you walk along the Nong Khai Riverside, you will see a few tables set out right next to the railing overlooking the river. You have found Macky's. The portions are generous, the lady friendly and some English spoken. A good place for couples.
Conrad S — Google review
Lovely location on the river, good ice chocolate and coffee. Green curry was super bland, though I'm assured it's normally good food, it was a Thai holiday so maybe different chefs. Western food is good.

Amazing and tasteful espresso like in Italy. Very good cakes. I recommend the coconut

Compared to other places - coffee is better, service smiley, and it's open!! Plus the AC and wifi helped a lot. No credit cards accepted.

Very modern and clean coffee shop with great selection of cakes to satisfy that western food craving.
Graeme K — Google review
A bit pricey but the coffee and desserts are good. Hot Americano is 45 THB, but good quality. Had Almond Coffee Cake (which is not coffee cake, in the American sense, but rather coffee-flavored cake). Also tried the Rocky Road brownie. Not the best desserts I've had, but better than most.

The Scandinavian Bakery, located in Vientiane, is a charming and cozy coffee shop that offers a variety of local delicacies alongside Western comfort food. This quaint cafe is known for its good pastries, small lunches, and strong cups of coffee at very reasonable prices. It's one of the oldest coffee shops in the area and provides an ideal setting to enjoy a relaxing meal or catch up on work with free WiFi in a smart air-conditioned atmosphere.
We’ve been there several times for lunch! The food was great and the service friendly. The Tuna salad is really big and costs 30.000 Kip.
Franziska H — Google review
Good, fresh food, pastries, cakes at reasonable prices. The "big chicken sandwich " is a long baguette - good to share! Cappuccino shake was disappointing- taste like made with flavours and not real coffee?
Vincent O — Google review
We had the blueberry cheesecake with an espresso and a tea. All were excellent. The cheesecake tasted like it was homebaked. As we were leaving we got a couple raisin muffins for later. They were also very good. Clean bathroom and surprisingly fast WiFi.

I ordered the hamburger and fries. I then started reviewing the reviews on Google & TripAdvisor. To late. The hamburger & fries arrived and we're plated decently. Opening the Burger it showed an extremely overcooked & dry patty. Had lettuce, tomato, onion & raw cucumber slices. No mayonnaise, ketchup or mustard. The fries looked good but we're overcooked.

Vietnamese restaurant
Restaurant
Daeng Namnuang Vietnamese Restaurant offers a picturesque outlook of the river and Laos, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The cuisine is both flavorful and fresh, with an exquisite blend of herbs, vegetables, and savory pork in their rolls. Their grilled pork wrapped with betal leaf is also highly recommended. They offer various sets to cater to different group sizes; however, it's essential to consider ordering just enough as their portions tend to be generous.
Great Thai style Vietnamese restaurant with the panoramic view of the Mekong river, overlooking the Laos neighbor on the other side. Taste is ok and price is affordable.
Ben W — Google review
I had lunch at this restaurant during my sightseeing visit to the Nong Khai area. The restaurant is located almost next to the Mekong River. You can enjoy the view of Mekong River and Laos border while having an authentic Vietnamese meal. The food was excellent, as was the service. The restaurant was very clean, and everything including the services were well organised.
Neil R — Google review
Nam Nueng served here is exceptionally delicious, with flavorful dipping sauce and a great selection of fresh side vegetables. The restaurant offers both air-conditioned indoor seating and open-air outdoor areas, creating a relaxed and comfortable dining environment to suit all preferences. One dish you absolutely must try is the Nam See Krong Moo Tod (deep-fried fermented pork spare ribs). It’s packed with flavor, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy authentic flavors, quality ingredients, and a laid-back atmosphere. Highly recommended for both casual meals and dining out with friends or family😍
Parava C — Google review
This is a restaurant that my family and I often go to. The service is good and the food tastes good. But recently, the day I went for lunch with my family during the day, the restaurant was very crowded. The area of the restaurant was under renovation. There was a loud noise from the wood saw and the building was being demolished. I felt that eating at noon in a restaurant full of customers was a very depressing experience. You should stop the renovation at that time because of the noise and dust. It was a very disappointing family outing.
S. R — Google review
It was in the evening so we chose to sit outside as the weather was pleasant. Definitely a popular restaurant but there is plenty of tables. The food was delicious. Some Vietnamese dishes I was expecting too see on the menu were not present but there's plenty of choices. After dinner we took a walk along the river. All in all a good experience.
M S — Google review
A famous Vietnamese restaurant in Nong Khai, located right along the Mekong and connected to the riverside walkway. The restaurant is beautiful decored, quite spacious with plenty of tables, suitable for both small and large groups. There’s an outdoor seating area with fans where you can enjoy the river view, and an indoor air-conditioned area. The staff are numerous and serve quickly; service can sometimes have small errors due to the high number of customers, but overall it’s efficient. Parking is a bit tight, but restrooms and hand-washing stations are available. The food tastes great and looks very clean 🥗. The nam nueng is fresh, with beautifully selected green vegetables, generous side dishes, and a delicious dipping sauce.
K T — Google review
What a great restaurant on the Mekong! Daeng Namnuang has a small menu of tasty Vietnamese food, and they serve it very quickly. They have a seating area right over the river, but it was closed when we went. It's next to a nice walkway, which adds to the experience. The food is delicious, but be careful with the spice! Highly recommended.
UEM — Google review
Excellent restraint by for anyone who enjoys well prepared pork dishes. The staff is attentive and the food is accompanied by massive bowls of fresh herbs on certain dishes. Try the shrimp on sugar cane, the roast pork slices, the sour pork sausage deep fried and of course the pork rolls that are served with rice noodles, 2 sauces, peanuts and a large herb/lettuce bowl. Their iced coffee is divine. Unfortunately there isn’t anything for a vegan or vegetarian but it is worth letting your meat eating friends enjoy this very special restaurant.

The For Rest cafe is a unique destination located in a lush forest setting, offering visitors an enchanting experience reminiscent of stepping into a fantasy world. The expansive area features abundant greenery, including gardens, waterfalls, mist, and lotus ponds. A recent addition to the picturesque landscape is the romantic couple sculptures placed in the midst of a pond with a wooden walkway providing a scenic path through the water.
A very beautiful green park/café. The coffee and food are excellent, and you can take a walk in the park, which has many water lotuses. The entrance fee is 50 Baht per person. Highly recommended!

Pros: 🌿 The place is beautifully decorated with a well-executed forest theme, creating a cool and relaxing atmosphere. 🌳 Spacious area with plenty of seating, soft background music, and clean, well-maintained restrooms. 📸 There are several nice photo spots and natural corners to walk around and enjoy. Cons: ⚙️ The food ordering system is not well manage. Resulting while there are many staff members present, most of them seem to have minimal assigned duties and often sit using their phones. 🥢 After placing your order, customers have to collect the food themselves, even if seated far away. 🧼 Tables are not cleaned – many had stains, bugs, leaves, or wet chairs. Overall: Still giving 5 stars because of the great atmosphere, tasty food, beautiful decor, and rich coffee. The staff seemed kind and service-minded. If the management system can be improved, this place would be perfect. Keep it up!

This place is highly recommended if anyone is around the area. Thank me later. One of the cafes with a well decorative forest feels as is named, the pond with water lily is best place to check in for pictures, got to pay for visit and offset it with an order. It was a beautiful and wonderful place. The president, who looked pure and comfortable like an English-speaking employee, welcomed us kindly. A lovely place for dinner, by the Mekong. Staff are great, very attentive and friendly. The food we chose, all fish-based, was of a high quality and plentiful. The restaurant offers a range of craft beers, available to try in advance. I was impressed by some of the IPAs on offer, as well as the "standard" lager.

On way back home to Udon Thani, we stopped a lovely restaurant on the banks of the mighty Meikong river. The setting was beautiful and pastoral, and the menu we chose fish cakes, boiled fish, fresh coconut water, tempura style morning glory, and Tom yum. All the dishes were prepared beautifully and with fresh ingredients. The staff was very polite and helpful. It was sunset, and the environment was the perfect to end our day.

Excellent Restaurant and Beer Bar!! This is exactly the kind of place you'd see in the US. Excellent selection of beer on tap plus lots of canned beer options. Food was amazing. Fish based menu with fresh catches from the Mekong River. Staff was super attentive. Ate in the AC room, then moved to the riverside patio for after drinks! Definitely worth a stop if you're in the Nong Khai area and want something a little different!

Nice looking expansive restaurant and craft beer property. Easy to social distance if you want to. 4 stars since I only have eaten there 1 time. Also right on the river for nice sunsets or scenic views in the days time.

Perfect location at the Mekong banks. Huge parking. Friendly and efficient staff. Cheap and really tasty food. Very good draft craft beer. The only issue with the beer price: at the desk written the price for half pint (180THB), and not the pint (which turned out to cost around 290THB). That’s ok but we’d prefer to know about it beforehand and not after receiving the bill )

This is absolutely one of the amazing evening in this year for me so far ‘Likhit Craft Beer’ ('Likhit' = Destiny) is located on the bank of Mekong River - Nong Khai Thailand side, we're sitting on the balcony, watching the sundown from 5PM until twilight with the IPA Thai craft beer in our hand. With a good company like this, nothing could go wrong at this point The sky was changing from clear blue, orange, red, grey until dark, the local’s boat commute along the river, the waves and sun ray reflected over Mekong River is ABSOLUTE BEST! I wish this moment could last forever

Nestled along the banks of the Mekong River, Roadhouse in Nong Khai is a delightful spot that captures the essence of this charming region. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and welcoming vibe, it serves as a perfect pit stop for travelers exploring local attractions like Sala Keoku and Phra That La Nong. The café offers a unique blend of flavors, making it an ideal place to unwind after visiting nearby temples or enjoying scenic views across the river to Laos.
While waiting for my bus to Bangkok, I came across Road House on google maps and thought it would be nice to have a coffee by the river while waiting for my bus. Upon arriving I ordered a Dirty Coffee and was taken aback that it would take 15mins for the coffee. But waaaah was it worth the wait... I thought it was just a gimmicky ice latte... But oh wow was it delicious....I was surprised at the layers of sweet, savoury and tartness just from an espresso poured over cold milk... The beans chosen for this drink were simply impeccable... I mean it could have been unintentional on the cafés part but they really made my day with the Christmas piano music in the background. Thanks guys!

A very contemporary elegant style coffee shop. This place is very clean with an awesome view of the Maekhong River. Being a date and relax in the air-conditioning if the weather is too hot. There is free Wi-Fi offered if you need. Roadhouse offers a small deck area to sit and soak up the sun. Open daily 7am-6pm

Stopped here this morning and had a fantastic Yoghurt smoothie. It was so good I came back in the afternoon to try one of the coconut with coffee foam drinks. Very nice but much prefer the smoothie. My friend had a mango smoothie, equally delicious. We also had a big chewy cookie and fudge brownie. Very nice. I also see that they have accommodation at very reasonable prices. We will be looking to stay here on our next trip to Nong Khai.

I have recently been here and, I like the atmosphere around, the decorations the aesthetic, the quality of service everything is quite nice. A must-not-miss-out place when you're in Nongkhai. In the daytime, you have a coffee cafe and after 5 pm it also offers happy hour drinks and a special menu of food too. I hope you will find this place a good choice in Nongkhai. 👌✨️🇹🇭❤️📚☕️📸 Ps. Vintage atmosphere. Coffee is super awesome. They used the leaf, I believed, to make a handle for taking away, which is very clever and environmental concerned. The shop has no car park but you can park on side road or the temple nearby.

This place is perfect! Lovely staff, relaxing music, very good espresso with options for soy milk and decaffeinated blends, and the Sweet Potato Cake was amazing! The decor and attention to detail is superb. A wonderful surprise to find in Nong Khai. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. I'll be back to try some of their wonderful looking shakes.

Dee Dee Pochana, located on Prajak Road in central Nong Khai, is a top dining spot offering a wide range of Thai and Chinese dishes to cater to various palates. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating in the typical open-air style of Thailand. Their menu is available in English, Thai, and Vietnamese. My wife and i decided to spend the weekend in Nong Khai, and upon checking in to the hotel, we immediately went out looking for something/somewhere to eat...and after a lot of walking, we found this restaurant. It's an "open-air" place (typical for Thailand) and has plenty of seating, both outdoor and indoors. The staff was quick and courteous and promptly brought us menus (they're actually in English, Thai, and Vietnamese). Our orders were taken, and in a few minutes, we were enjoying our food...which was very good! The bill wasn't expensive, and the bathrooms were clean (and they even have "western toilets!). We will definitely be visiting this restaurant before we leave!!!

Dee Dee Pochana is one of the most well-known restaurants in Nongkhai, popular among both Lao and Thai visitors. The service is friendly and efficient, and food comes out quickly, fresh from the kitchen. The menu is broad, offering everything from simple local favorites to high-quality seafood dishes. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion you get. It’s a great place to enjoy a delicious meal whether you’re with family, friends, or traveling solo. Definitely a must-try when in Nongkhai!

Market
Nong Khai Walking Street is a must-visit spot in Thailand, offering a vibrant and Instagram-worthy atmosphere. The market is held on Saturday nights and features a diverse range of goods including textiles, arts, crafts, food, and toys. Stretching for several kilometers, the street provides ample opportunities to shop while being entertained by local street performers. Despite its popularity, the market maintains a comfortable level of crowding even during special events.
I went to Nong Khai on my last trip to Thailand when I caught the bus from Vientiane Lao across the border into Thailand. Nong Khai is a very beautiful place but very Instagram at the same time with lots of arch ways like picture frames with a view behind them and lots of platforms purely just for photos. But it actually deserves to be as the views are absolutely stunning overlooking the Mekong River with Vientiane Lao across the other side of the river. I can see why this would be a popular tourist destination with all of the restaurants and bars along the river front but it's not over crowded. I love this place
Andrew M — Google review
Nong Khai Walking Street in Thailand is a charming and vibrant night market that captured my heart from the moment I set foot on its lively, bustling streets. This enchanting evening experience was a highlight of my visit to Nong Khai, and it's a must-visit for anyone in search of local culture, delicious food, and unique shopping finds. The atmosphere at Nong Khai Walking Street is nothing short of magical. As the sun sets, the street comes alive with an array of colorful stalls, street performers, and the cheerful chatter of both tourists and locals. The sight of lanterns and fairy lights strung overhead creates a whimsical ambiance that is perfect for a leisurely stroll. The street food at Nong Khai Walking Street is an absolute culinary delight. The sheer variety of dishes available is astounding, and you can savor local favorites like Som Tum (papaya salad), Pad Thai, and grilled skewers, to name just a few. The fragrant aromas wafting from the food stalls are irresistible, and I found myself indulging in one mouthwatering dish after another. It's a paradise for food enthusiasts, and you can experience the authentic flavors of Thai cuisine in its most delicious form. The handicrafts and souvenirs on offer are another highlight of the market. From handwoven textiles and intricate woodwork to unique jewelry and local artwork, there's a wide range of treasures to discover. The stalls are filled with beautifully crafted items that make for perfect keepsakes or gifts to take home. What sets Nong Khai Walking Street apart is its strong sense of community and warmth. The locals are friendly and welcoming, and their pride in their culture is evident in the way they engage with visitors. It's a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the local way of life and learn more about the traditions and customs of Nong Khai. As you explore the street, you'll come across live performances by local musicians and street artists. The music and entertainment add to the lively atmosphere and make for a memorable and entertaining evening. The location of Nong Khai Walking Street is ideal, situated along the Mekong River and providing breathtaking views of the river and the neighboring Laos. The sight of the sun setting over the river is a sight to behold, and the cool breeze from the river adds to the overall charm. In conclusion, Nong Khai Walking Street is a delightful experience that offers a taste of Thailand's vibrant culture and culinary delights. It's a place that engages all your senses, from the mouthwatering scents of the food to the visual and auditory delights of the performances. My visit was a delightful and memorable adventure, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to soak up the rich culture and flavors of Nong Khai. It's an evening stroll you won't soon forget.

Ivor O — Google review
It is only open on Saturday evenings - but you should definitely go there if you are in Nong Khai on a Saturday. There are so many different kinds of food, drinks and desserts, and all reasonably priced. There is a huge area with seats that anyone can sit at and eat their food. They also have local live music and dance on in that area. It's a great place to eat and relax by the riverside at sunset.
Angie — Google review
Nong Kahi Walking Street is a very good Saturday night market. Crowded, but not too crowded. Even on Children's Day 2024 with a live band and all the pageantry a proper Thai event has it wasn't so crowded one had to do the Chiang Mai Walking Street shuffle! There's a great savory food, desert, and drink selection, and all the craft and trinket vendors that you come to expect in S. E. Asia, or the world for that matter. Most tourist race through this small border city on the way to, or after leaving Vientiane Lao PDR. Many ex-pat and long stay travelers that don't have a Type O visa use the Friendship Bridge # 1 on visa runs. Over the years I've done it 5 times. It's worth spending a few days, or more, to check out what's on offer in this small city on the Mekong River. It's a nice break from the high tourist prices of the island and beach scene, and a quiet place to escape Bangkok's noise and hustle. The night train is a good way to get here from Bangkok, and points south and north.
Tom R — Google review
Wow, you should visit here. You will see many local foods, local products, and local music shows. Importantly, you will young music brands along the street. It takes around 15 minutes to walk through entire area of the night market. Beautiful girls are waiting for you here. Lol

Saturday nights in Nong Khai are made more special, by the fantastic walking street market in the evening. One can 'shop till you drop', as you choose from a wonderful variety of; textiles, arts, crafts, food, toys and general brick-aback. It is a several kilometres long walk, if you want to do the full loop and you are entertained along the way with various, talented, local street busker performers. If you are in Nong Khai on a Saturday night, then walkabout the night markets along the Mekong River, is pretty much a 'must-do', in my opinion. I look forward to returning to the waterfront again (see my Coffee Chill TV YouTube vlog), soon.

The Beer House - Smoke & Oak Cigar Lounge is a must-visit destination in Laos for beer enthusiasts and cigar aficionados. It offers an extensive selection of beers, including the famous Beer Lao and Namkhong, as well as imported classical craft beers. The ambiance is perfect for enjoying a cold beer or exploring their collection of bottled beers and glasses. Additionally, the lounge provides a refined haven for cigar lovers with its specialized Cuban cigars and a Chesterfield-inspired cigar bar atmosphere.
Cigar selection is a nice mix of Cuban favorites sourced primarily from Europe as identified from the warning labels on the full boxes. . I would stick to purchasing full boxes with all the barcodes and other Habanos authorized criteria in tact. Take a hard look at the singles without boxes before purchasing or if in doubt, ask the owner for support. I purchased a full c/p of R&J (Germany I think) with a 2021 date code and the majority of the full boxes carry 21 and 22 dates. They are smoking fantastic btw. Complete and extensive NW offerings as well. Prices are significantly less than Thailand. Had a few Belgian brews and some tasty apps. Vincent is the owner. Very approachable.

good place to have imported classical craft beers and chill. unfortunately there were no other guests during our 1-hour stay, despite the good ambience and tasty food. it's quite sure the main reasons are price settings, and a bit too luxurious surroundings. prefer more casual concept, maintaining good quality of beer and food. kasteel fruit beer is especially recommend - smooth, sweet, very aromatic. also, nice collection of bottled beers and glasses.

If you're looking for a refined haven to enjoy quality cigars, speicalized by Cubans, look no further than this Chesterfield-inspired cigar bar in the heart of Vientiane (Laos) and in a very quiet neighbourhood. Its warm and sophisticated atmosphere invites guests to relax in luxury. The private room adds an extra touch of exclusivity, perfect for intimate meetings or private celebrations. And let's not forget the impressive selection of whiskies, which perfectly complement the rich flavours of the hand-selected cigars. All in all, this establishment offers an unrivalled experience for aficionados and novices alike, promising unforgettable moments in an atmosphere reminiscent of the charm of yesteryear. Cigar lovers, come to the Beerhouse!

Many Chinese dishes! I ordered the dumplings and green beans, both were very nice 👍 also got some complimentary Chinese tea. Service was generally nice/ fine, however when I entered the restaurant the people looked at me a bit confused/ weirdly. Maybe because I came alone and it was before lunchtime. Anyways, didn't feel welcome at first but after that it was a nice experience with good Chinese food 👍

Cantonese style Chinese Restaurant operated by a Lao-Chinese since 1995. Tried their dimsum which is only available between 8am - 1pm every Sunday only. The dimsum are all freshly made before steaming and served on the table. Ordered 4 dishes. Rice-rilled with fresh Shrimp, Siew-Mai, Pork Intestines and Coriander Dumpling + 1 can of Pepsi. Total bill LAK 150k (USD 7.50). Don't compare with Hong Kong standard. Imagine if u work here for 2 years and start to miss Chinese food, this one can satisfy the dimsum crave because this is quite close to Chinese taste.

During my recent visit to MK Suki, I was greeted by a lovely ambiance that made for an enjoyable dining experience. Seated by the window, I relished the beautiful views while indulging in their buffet offerings. Priced at 299 THB, the selection was somewhat limited, prompting me to order additional items from the à la carte menu. While it was disappointing that desserts weren't part of the buffet deal, I appreciated the swift service and convenience of ordering via QR code.
Tried the MK buffet for the first time at 299 THB. Honestly, not many choices included in the buffet, so I ended up ordering a few more items a la carte. Desserts also not included, which was a bit of a letdown. However, the service was fast and convenient with online ordering through QR code. The place was clean, and the taste still matched MK’s usual yummy standard. Overall, a decent experience but the buffet alone didn’t quite satisfy me.

Nestled in a charming setting, The Forest Cafe & Restaurant offers a unique fusion dining experience that stands out for its inviting atmosphere and cleanliness. While the pasta is crafted from rice noodles rather than traditional durum wheat, it adds an interesting twist to the menu. Although some dishes may not reach the heights of specialty restaurants, many guests appreciate the overall vibe and quality of food. Smoothies could use a little improvement in texture, but they still complement the meal nicely.

(Translated by Google) The shop atmosphere is excellent. Good service staff But the food hasn't passed yet. Ordered the grilled pork neck. But the hard parts of the pork aren't served, making it a really bad meal.

(Translated by Google) The pasta appears to be made from rice noodles rather than durum wheat. The food is below average compared to specialty restaurants, but it's fusion-style, clean, and the atmosphere is great. I intend to visit again.

(Translated by Google) The atmosphere is good, clean, the food is good to eat, but I want to stay at the standard price of the cafe (the smoothie menu is a little dry, which makes it difficult to eat, I want to change this one more) (Original)
