The staff and the atmosphere are good, but the food is terrible. The pizza doesn’t seem fresh-cooked; it’s not hot; it’s salty, dry, and dull. Pizza in a random buffet is better than their pizza. The lasagna is like a mushy stew. If you don’t tell me it’s a lasagna, I would have thought it’s mash potatoes. A good lasagna should be savory, slightly tangy from the tomatoes, rich from the cheese. The layers of pizza in a lasagna should be soft, chewy, and cheesy.

I’m not here for pizza. My favorite dishes would be Italian Sausages and Milanesa. Favorite dessert is Amaretto cream.

Update 5 October 2024: this place is still AWESOME. Just had the phenomenal #116: fettuccine salmone. Great vibe, great food and great service from Joy. Update 4 August 2024: still the best food in Khon Kaen and a great 'Joy' to eat here. 😊 I have come here consistently over the past 10-15 years because it serves the best Italian food in Kohn Kaen, actually best in Issan. Maybe the best in Thailand, perhaps the best in Asia. No kidding, you read me correctly. The best Italian food in Asia.

The pizza was good and the prices reasonable. The staff is professional. The facilities are clean. It is a decent place to come for good Italian food.

Very delicious Italian food. My seafood black spaghetti was perfect. Service was great. Our waitress spoke excellent English. Will return when we come back to Khon Kaen again.

Not quite sure how this place has ranked quite as high as it has. I would regard the food as average. I had the lasagna and the spinach ravioli along with a side of garlic bread. The garlic was powerful and the sauce was a very sweet sauce. If you prefer sweet sauce, then you will probably like this place. Service was stellar though. Very fast and very friendly. Prices were reasonable for this type of food in this part of the country.

I hadn't realised that the restaurant was actually inside the Avani hotel until a member of staff informed me of the fact. It is a really beautiful restaurant with high vaulted ceilings and a chilled atmosphere. There were no other diners there when we arrived and about 3 staff members, which included the chef. The menu we were given didn't have a great deal of choice but there were a few that I was willing to try. I ordered the chicken with mango salad with criss cross fries (waffle fries). 5 minutes later I was told that there was no chicken. This was just after noon on a Thursday. We both ordered the fried rice, one pork the other prawn and some chicken thighs. I did not enjoy my pork fried rice as it tasted very mushy (soft), as did the prawn fried rice. The staff that were there were friendly and very helpful.

Everything was super tasty! Good quality, big portions, and the price is totally worth it. The staff are really nice too. I’ve been here a few times already and I’ll definitely be back again!

I ordered the krapao over rice on top with an egg and Somtam Thai (papaya salad), the food is tasty, a bit spicy but enjoyable. Good services and nice decorated food plate.

Amazing breakfast. They have a live-cooking for omelet and fired egg. Strongly recommend to try any bakery, you will not disappoint! Very rish in butter 🤤

An old place that is famous in Khonkaen. Next generation tried to start it again but nope nope nope. What a let down. This have a lot of potential but crashing down on all aspect of restaurant starting from the service. They are short staffed (or their staff is just lazy I don't know) but from the start we had to walk in to theur huge space with empty table and chairs to their deepest dining zone. Even when there's staffing booth before the zone no one come to greeted us. I have to walk to them to get their attention. They saw us from the front but I don't know why they don't walk to us to show us their available zone. After I told them I reserved some table already they seemed surprised and walked us to the table. Guess what, the table that they put it together to accommodate us but another party already sat down in them. What the heck is going on about reservation. Am I mistaken about the dedinition or what? Anyway the staff seemed upset that she had to make new connecting table. Anyway, their seats are old and uncomfortable. The food is okay and some of them tasted good but mostly just normal Chinese cuisine. A lot of potential. Could be the new landmark if they really renovate all of them and have good system amd staffing. They haven't even repainted the old restaurant sign

Food was average and overpriced compare to other area in Khon kaen. Only 3 tables was occupied when I was there. Lots of mosquitoes while eating my dinner. However the atmosphere was quiet and nice lake view. Parking place was huge.

Beautifully situated restaurant built on stilts above the water. It's a nice place to sit while the food was a bit hit and miss. They served a delicious Aubergine - Seafood salad, the lemon chicken, however, was a bit bland.

Nice location with a great view (especially at night) of the surrounding Kae Nahkon lake. Food used to be better before. On my last visit in July 2013, food was just mediocre.

A dim sum place in Avani hotel. I went there for the dim sum buffet at dinner service and you could tell that it is understaffed and that they even need to call for more help from the other section of the hotel. A guy from London inn had to come in to help serving, haha. The place is well decorated but for the normal table and chair it would be more preferable if they seitched out the usual chair into a more heavy wooden chair. It would be more luxurious. The table scratches is also noticable by glance. The food is fast and hot. However, some is delicious that you should try like ha-kao and some you could skip it because it isn't any better than any other places like their fried rice and rard nar. The booze chicken isn't soft like it should. Their dim sum and fried things is excellent. Piping hot amd delicious. You have to try it when they just serve. Their mian bao is okay but the bread texture could be improve. It just felt a bit cheap to be hotel food in Chinese specialty section. Also the portion of the food is changing for some food. Like the fried spring roll. At first we got 5 pieces but the second time we got 4. The sizer and arrangement is different too so yeah....overall it is a decent place and the service is good if you don't mind all the little things I listed above. Their buffet time wasn't limited too so that's one of the good things. oh right their kana so bitter when I went there.

I highly recommend Ju Fang Restaurant at Avani Khon Kaen. The cuisine was exquisite, prepared with remarkable skill and finesse, and the service was exceptionally warm and attentive. Every member of the staff displayed genuine kindness, with Auy in particular standing out for her graciousness and charm. The chefs’ artistry was outstanding, and the ambiance created a truly memorable dining experience. The surrounding environment further enhanced the sense of relaxation, making it an ideal place to enjoy both fine food and refined hospitality.

We had the dim sum buffet and it was amazing. Although there are limited options, everything tasted so fresh and well-seasoned. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. It takes quite some time for the food to be served so order a lot at once because it’s made fresh as you order. The atmosphere is great, overlooking the street.

Amazing Peking duck. The restaurant was able to accommodate us immediately. Black peppered duck was perfectly balanced and flavored. Sangria was decent but could use work on the fruit additions and flavor. Service was a bit slow on drinks, but overall very efficient and prompt. Room decor felt basic.

Had a dim sum lunch buffet with a family of 4. Steamed dim sum order took close to an hour to be released to customers. The flavor is decent with price but please do not come if you are hungry. Only recommended if you have no other choices.

The food is delicious, but when it came time to pay the bill, I specifically instructed the waitress to use THB instead of USD for the credit card transaction. When I got the bill to sign, it was charged in USD hence I got an unfavorable exchange rate and an additional 3 percent charge (I basically paid 300 baht more). My friend asked the cashier about this but they said their system cannot process foreign credit cards in thai currency which seems ridiculous to me especially at a nice hotel. I've actually never experienced this issue in my life in Thailand or the many countries I've traveled to.

Visitors must give this restaurant a try. I like its babeque chicken, papaya salad, and Thai black coffee. All authentic issan food.

For years this place has had the reputation of making the best gai yang (North Eastern style barbecue chicken). I've certainly never tasted better but there might be one or two places that are nearly equal. Gai yang can run out at lunch time. Their other Isan food - somtam, laab (including duck), sausage and sticky rice are just as good so you won't be disappointed if you have missed the chicken that day. The chicken is a Thai breed skinny bird. The Roadrunner, not Foghorn Leghorn 😂 It's the usual sitting on stools, open walls, drink water, low prices type place but with all food I've tried being memorably delicious. I come here every time I visit Khon Kaen and I suggest you do too.

Very tasty roasted chicken. We ordered one plate and couldn't get enough of it. Ended up ordering another plate. Charred on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. Price as of May 2018 is 160 baht per plate. There are washing basins in the shop.

I had a pleasant experience at Vacca Italian restaurant. The nice ambience and good-tasting food, paired with nice coffee, make it a great spot to enjoy a meal before catching a flight. The fast service is a plus, especially with the convenience of being just five minutes away from the airport. It seems like a perfect pre-flight dining choice!

Good food With great price. Not fully appreciate the service tho but overall is great. Love the red wine it goes very well with cold cuts. Fettuccini is the best. Ribeye well cook. Not much to complain about the food.

So close to the airport I didn't even thought possible to have a restaurant of that level. Decoration is already welcoming you. Good taste all over. Even if prices are high for Thailand I think it is worth to go there for lunch or dinner. Well prepared meals good presentation and so delicious. Worth to spend a couple of hours there before your trip.

I have been to Vacca's restaurant about 5 times in the last few months and have had a steak on each visit (always takeaway). It is by far the best steak I have tasted in Khonkaen, and when I think about it the best I have had in Thailand. That last bit was said with the caveat that I have only had steak about 7-8 times in the 11 years I have been in Thailand and that is because of the disappointing steaks I have tried I have also tried the pizza and a few of the pasta dishes, simple but delicious. The staff are really friendly and helpful, however a glass of water would be appreciated while I wait for my takeaway. Vacca's isn't cheap but is well worth a visit.

Was here for the first time and was an nice experience food was ok pizza was with 4 kind of cheese and a pasta dish and it was well cooked. Service was spot on and restaurant it selv was very clean and inviting.

Nice place, good selection on the ala carte menu. We had to wait a bit after ordering until the food was served. The food itself was tasty but needed some seasoning. Unfortunately my spaghetti (cream with ham and mushrooms) was virtually tasteless. The other plates was OK, the burger tested very well.

A quiet place to hang out, the greeneries and wide lawn make it more relaxing. The interior is comfy and spacious. The price is little bit expensive, but food is yummy so it's worth it. Coffee is okay, the pastries are quite delicious .

The restaurant looks nice. The food also looks nice. However the foods were not good. The meat was so hard. Had pork chop. Duck breast with foiegras and lamb. All of them tasted bad. Not recommended.

I regularly eat at (mostly take away) the Greenleaf. For the most part everything that my wife or I have eaten there has been really good. Every now and the then there is a slight dip in quality on some of the items such as the chicken dippers or the steak in the steak sandwich. Overall though it has been my go to place when I want to treat myself. The country burger and chicken wraps are really good. I highly recommend it. The staff are super polite and attentive too. Wi-fi seldom works , not a deal breaker, just annoying that it is a known problem that has never been fixed. Update on the WiFi front...they have stopped giving free WiFi....hmmm. Update... I hadn't been to Greenleaf for a while and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had done some refurbishment, both inside and outside, unfortunately the same can't be said of their menu. I was hoping that there would be some new options, sadly no. They have started selling scones and jam which I found to be a bit doughy..almost undercooked... That's my personal impression only.

Don't hesitate to place an order Nam-Nuang even if you don't know how to eat'em. A friednly staff is ready to help you with any needs they might have.

I first had lunch here 25 years ago and can onlu recommend this place for its excellent Vietnamese cuisine. Naem Nueng, Vietnamese sausage and springrolls are all excellent there.

So I arrived and the band was playing their last song to finish off their set for the evening . Well greeted, parking lot attendant , nice drink and conversation with Der la Jazz host and manager Mr. Man. I will come back ! People make a difference and the attention I was given by Mr. Man has influenced my decision to return . He is the Impressario that builds a loyal following and repeat clients !

Fantastic place for urban people, good food drinks outside with live music. Daytime coffee filled with notebooks . Wet gallery nearby. All together a very welcome alternative to all the perfumed babe-bars and heavy drinking-places a bit further up.

This place is a cafe during the day and a Thai/Isan fusion food restaurant during the night with jazz band. Highly recommend we love this place.

A pleasant restaurant with live music, and as the name indicates, jazz music. There have been a few visits here, for food and drink. The service follows up and makes sure that everything is as it should be, and together with good music, it creates a good atmosphere. Mainly Thai dishes on the menu, and they have some beer on tap for those who like it. Parking is done outside with the good help of employees who keep the vehicles in order.

This restaurant is not to be missed. You will find a lot of delicious E-San food here which is hard to find anywhere else. My favorite is the bbq fish paste in banana leaf and the signature stir-fried chicken with chilli jam. The overall flavor has toned down to not very spicy so I can enjoy most of the dishes.

Praprai Khon Kaen is a north eastern food restaurant . The location is near Khon Kaen airport. I recommend Pla Som Tod ( Pickled fish deep fried) and Pad Cha Pla Beuk ( Stir fried spicy with Giant fish) served with hot sticky rice.It was very delicious. SomTum( Papaya salad) was indifferent.

Leave plenty of time to enjoy this restaurant before your flight. We enjoyed a number of courses this afternoon each one as delicious as the other. Service great. Parking on the street outside. We'll be back to try again, next time we're in Khon Kaen. 👍

The best Isaan food restaurant.

I usually order via grab. I recommend meatloaf and fried chicken.

First impression was from a Facebook group post - the food shown in the post literally made me hungry enough to water at the mouth. Second impression was, wow, great location - centrally located in Khon Kaen City, Thailand. Then I went inside. I'll try to keep this brief. I had good first impressions before I entered the restaurant, and was even more impressed when I went inside. It is a relatively new location for King Kong Restaurant Khon Kaen, and it has been beautifully renovated and furnished. Very comfortable, family style restaurant offering both Thai and "foreign" food - i.e. burgers, lasagna, enchiladas... an impressive menu available here on Google Maps or on Facebook. Then I was greeted by the proprietor, Mr. Jim Kong. A very friendly, cheerful guy. He made me feel welcome. I have no complaints whatsoever as to the place itself, the friendly staff, or the service. To me, good service has always been equally important, if not more important, than the taste of the food itself and the portion size. From this my first experience of the restaurant, I have NO complaints. The food was delicious. The portions were sufficient to fill me up and satisfy my craving for a REAL burger. If I could give this restaurant a 6th star, I would. As I said to Jim as I was leaving, 2 thumbs up, 5 stars, no question. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Happy service and good food. Although we visited close to closing time, there was no hesitation or reluctance in serving us. Although people have personally commented that the pricing seems to o be on the high side, we were presented with good sized portions and in my estimation worthy of a visit.

Hands down the best place in Khon Kaen for western food. The owners are so obliging and I was amazed that they offered a service where if you didn't fancy eating from the menu (it's all great but if you fancied something you missed from home) you can actually give them a few days notice and if they can source the ingredients they will try to cook it for you at no extra charge. Just a fair agreed price and you're good to go. Brilliant brilliant idea. I ate their three times. Ate off menu twice and asked if they could cook me curried Meatballs with creamy mashed potatoes the third time. They did and it was yummy. Fresh ingredients and cooked just for me. They have a great setup for their opening hours too. They open officialy for dine in on Sundays only but offer take out or delivery nearly every day but if you fancy dining in any day just drop them a message or call them and if they are available they will open up for you to have the whole place to yourself. How's that for service. I even got to choose my own music while we chiller out with a few cold beers and our food.

Overall taste were mild with only spiciness, yet the beef was so overly cooked. The tongue was unreasonably overpriced. The restaurant was filled with smoke and smell, you will have the odor with you for a whole day if you come to eat here.

Khon Kaen beef restaurant been my list for years. Restaurant took orders 30min before opening and it was already full 0930 at morning. We ordered several dishes and all were very delicious. Reputation and Michelin recommendations well reserved. It is authentic Isaan lunch restaurant. Do not expect romantic atmosphere or cultural decorations. Just enjoy the food.

Recommended by many locals, Prasit Pochana is famous of their meat dishes. And it’s highly recommended by me now! The don’t have anything else but meat (and some rice). However, you can order somtum from the neighboring shop. If you’ve got a chance to visit here, order grilled beef (เสือร้องไห้), sun dried beef (เนื้อแดดเดียว) and minced pork larb — so so good! This shop has been around for a very long time, recently seems like they have updated with some newly chic menu. You can give it a try 😋

That beef tongue is the best I've had.. tender with a hint of crisp on the surface from the roast, paired with a soy onsen egg yolk and some chilli.. so good!

The Thai E-san restaurant famous crusine. The restaurant was promoted by michelin guide 2023. The price is averages 90 bath per menu. The location is in the CBD (central business district zone) that inconvenient for parking.

Traditional homey E-san food, good for family time. We tried the famous deep-fried fermented fish. Deep fried yom-fish. Mushroom soup. And stir-fried local veggies. All is good - tasty and fresh.

Wonderful delicious Isaan food, reasonably priced. Absolutely liked my relaxing lunch time there. Also excellent attitude towards food allergies. Loved it. Most definitely will come here again and again. Cane again. Unfortunately, this time the duck was seriously overcooked.

The spaghetti beef stroganoff is excellent. The spaghetti alio is very flavorful. The garlic bread tastes great as well. All in all the dining experience was good.

Overall, Foods here are tasty. Prawns are so fresh and Homemade Fettuccines are outrageous. Definitely will be back here again.

Really you call that a césar salad delivery..? ... Low quality ingredients high price, not even good parmesan.... I am European and this is a shame to call that ceasar salad. Hope you do better in your restaurant than delivery....

Great food, friendly staff. The staff member working that day spoke English. Like many restaurants, you have to seek them out because they are in random places. I hope this review can help some people find a quality place to eat. I had the duck confit which was quite unusual and creative. It was very good, tasty and well presented.

Driving around in Khon Kaen looking for another Lobster place only to find out that it had shut down so driving around we ended up here. The food was delicious, there weren't many people as we got there late, basically as soon as we finished the kitchen closed. Worth giving it a try.

A restaurant next to a lake with nice ambience. Perfect for groups and families as it’s rather large. However, the food was a little disappointing as it came out quite cold. Spicy bone soup was kinda weird, the soup was ok but the meat tasted as if it’s gonna go bad anyway time. Considering the price and the amount served, higher quality is expected.

The ribs were amazing with cool views and great staff, if your from the west and fancy some home cooked food this is the place to come 😋

Fantastic Cafe experience highly reccomend this establishment 1st class! Brought our guests after our wedding ceremony at temple for desert and cafe outstanding treats I especially was fond of the blueberry excellent. Wife ordered Americano was best I think I have ever had anywhere, I had Thai Iced tea also good but Americano way better. The gardens and water features incredible as well so relaxing and beautiful.

Wow! You won't believe it until you try it. This Thai café is a hidden gem that offers a wide range of delights, such as coffee, smoothies, Thai cuisine, pizza, dessert, and so much more. The vibes here are amazing, with lush greenery everywhere. I took my mom here, and she had a great time taking photos of all the beautiful artificial waterfalls and greenery. Everything is not overpriced, and there is plenty of parking!!!

We have driven past and never noticed this gem of a cafe and garden with waterfalls and greenery. The menu is the size of "Lord of the Rings", lots of options and photographs, I always find this a suspicious sign that chef Mike ( microwave) is back there in the kitchen. The seating is plush and casual, clean and abundantly decorated. It was a good choice for a happy weekend and we would return again, despite the limited choice for vegetarians. The mossy tropical garden is a neat idea, not so sure about dry ice for atmosphere. Ecologically moss and ferns need some tree canopy cover and lots of shade, to survive. That is a tall order, in a location, next to the ring road and with daytime temperatures, and we wish this original and unique venue 5 stars for originality.

It's the coffeehouse (please read all) with the most relaxing surroundings and the most beautiful atmosphere for miles around. A magnificent menu from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to dessert. Excellent service until a year and a half ago. It seems as if the menu is oversized or the purchasing department is no longer working. First, I didn't get anything from the breakfast menu at 10:45, with the warning that it was only served until 11:00 (no note on the menu). Three weeks later, no breakfast at 10:00. Another attempt: "too many guests," etc. Further examples follow with friends: we place orders and 10-15 minutes later, we're told "no have" What good is the most beautiful surroundings if I constantly embarrass myself in front of my friends? The service staff isn't to blame for this striking deterioration in service. I was there again this week for the first time in a long time and had to order twice again, first order „no have“.

This coffee shop has a fantastic atmosphere, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The view of the lake out front adds a peaceful touch. The coffee is expertly made, and the desserts are both fresh and delicious. A great spot all around.

TLDR; any coffee enthusiast should visit this shop. Atmosphere is Christmas ready. Th location is right by a pond really chill inside the shop and out. Great spots for photos at the front of the store. Now, onto the coffee. I had 2 iced americanos. One was dark roast (very smooth, non acidic as expected). Second was medium roast which was my personal favorite as I like lighter roast coffees. They have a 3 head Victoria arduino machine, so they mean business. I bought some beans they roast in house for pour over, but not cheap. Overall great experience.

My Ethiopian espresso was great, and the classic carrot cake was rich and aromatic. The staff were very friendly. The music was well played by a professional pianist. I absolutely enjoyed everything. It is literally a coffee place where you will come again and again.😄

...we brought family and friends for dinner. The atmosphere was great. They had live music that evening. You felt like you were sitting in a jungle somewhere in Thailand. The wait staff was okay, except they didn't bring the drinks until we had to remind them. Otherwise service was very prompt and friendly. Quite a bit menu with lots of variety. The food was exceptional and delivered fairly quick as it wasn't too busy of an evening for them. We definitely would pay a return visit here with other family and friends. Worth the trip!

This fantastic restaurant is a great addition to the Khon Kaen culinary landscape. It presents authentic Isan cuisine in an upscale and chic setting while preserving flavours and adding a great service standard. The fact that you can get a real somtum Lao style while enjoying sitting in air-conditioned spaces is by itself rewarding. Food is tasty and not overpriced. The location just close to the airport makes it perfect for a preflight meal.

The service and atmosphere were excellent, the food was average at best. The ham and cheese plate was nice, bread very good. My lobster was a Boston lobster, but eas served less claws, but was very tasty. I had a braised lamb shank, but was shocked that it was very dry. Calling it Arid would be generous. The lamb shank presentation was sadly very boring, it had no garnish or any sort of pop or style.

A new Italian restaurant in town. Beautiful place and good vibes. Sadly today they ran out of porkchops. So instead we got lobster bisque soup, rocket salad, wagyu picanha, pizza, penne carbonara. Absolutely fantastic, the meat is lerfectly cooked. Pizza is great with hearty amount of cheese with reasonable price. Pasta is perfect. Couldn't get our hand on the tiramisu because they just started a new batch today evening so it isn't ready yet. Got the chocolate lava cake and gelato instead. The dessert is good. Their chocolate lava is rich in taste. But the portion is a bit too small and that they overcooked the chocolate lava and turned it to chocolate cake with no hint of liquid in the center at all. The service is good but there's still some training needed to be given to some of the staff. Can't wait to try this place again soon! Still a lot I haven't ordered

A beautiful little spot off the beaten track with surprisingly good food. Add to that warm service and attractive environment and you have a great dining spot. The woman who runs the restaurant has years of experience in Bangkok and that shows in the quality of the food, the warm welcome and her proficiency in English. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Local style breakfast in the middle of the downtown. I love their "Khai Krata" which is a sunny-side fried eggs served in a little pan with chinese sausage and local style sausage. Sprinkle a pinch of pepper and soy sauce makes it taste perfect (to me personally)!! Locals may say there're other choices for breakfast, but this one is my cup of tea where I try to have breakfast everytime ai visit Khon Kaen.

Wanted to visit this place for a long time but quite disappointed when had breakfast here for the first time. The vietnamese noodle was ok but not great in anyways. The steamed noodle rolls are ready-made and not even hot.

Today, I ordered the kai krata (Thai-style pan-fried eggs), which tasted great. Another dish I tried was the claypot rice with Chinese sausage, but I found the taste less enjoyable. The sauce mixed with the rice had a strange smell, combined with a subtle hint of ginger that didn’t blend well. I didn’t try the rice porridge, so I can’t comment on that. Overall, it’s a decent place to grab a filling breakfast, though the prices are relatively high compared to the ingredients and portion sizes. On the other side of the shop, there’s a souvenir section offering a variety of items, including Chinese sausages, moo yor (Vietnamese-style pork sausage), sai krok Isan (Isan sausages), and other pork products. Some are homemade by the shop, while others are sourced from external suppliers. Personally, I found the souvenir section more enjoyable than the breakfast area. For parking, customers can use the roadside spots if available, or park at the nearby church, where the shop has put up a sign stating that parking is free for 2 hours.

It was wonderful to have a breakfast liked this. The atmosphere was nice and I was familiar this feeling from my childhood. The porridge was very good. The bread with shredded pork and butter was delicious. I liked Ovaltine. A bit crowded in the morning but the line ran so fast.

They didn’t have many menu items to choose from. The meat tasted pretty much the same in each dishes. Dipping tasted pretty much the same. Toilet was clean and equipped with air conditioner. I like their mini bites sold at the store front (especially banana crisps and biscuits). When you leave the restaurant you smell like garlic.

Prices are reasonable; 3 entrees and water 465 THB. One thing to note is that only cold noodles are available. No Pho! Regardless, the sausage entree and stuffed pork, spring rolls, were excellent and delicious! I almost felt as though I should have placed an order for my two uninvited guests. Aside from the flies, the restaurant is spacious with a nice layout, nicely decorated. Tables are distanced from one another appropriately and allow for easy conversation during meal time.

I recently visited KaenKaew Live House, the rooftop bar at the Ad Lib Hotel in Khon Kaen, Thailand, and had such an amazing time! The view from up there is incredible, and it sets the perfect mood for a night out. The live music was awesome and really added to the romantic atmosphere. You can tell they put a lot of effort into how everything looks and tastes. I ordered a Cosmopolitan, and it was not only super pretty but also strong and delicious. The staff were really professional and attentive, which made the experience even better. Plus, the complimentary snack crackers were a nice little touch. Overall, KaenKaew Live House is a fantastic spot with great music, stunning views, and amazing drinks. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a memorable evening in Khon Kaen!

I stayed in Khon Kaen for 2 nights, came twice in the evening (7PM for example), but this shop is closed, twice. The second time I finally got a chance to talk to the staffs (non English speakers), saying that it was all sold out for the day. In addition to that, they are closed on Saturdays as well. I’d really love to taste their food but unfortunately couldn’t. The reason why I choose to leave a 3-star review, not about the food, but the inconvenience.

Taste is good for the price, sometimes superbly done, especially on-the-rice menus. Humomgous amount of food for a plate, easily one dish belly fill-up. Free side veggie for everyone. Overall a great joint for E-Sarn style food.

This place features live music at night and is open until 2AM. That said you can also have lunch here. The Laab is very flavorful as are the Isan salads and beef stir fry. It's definitely a place with yummy food I can recommend.

Everything brought to our table was very near, if not, perfect. Flavors, aroma, textures, temperatures, and plating included. Gracious Hostess and attentive wait-staff. Make sure to get a reservation if you want a table as I went on a Monday night and it was full from 6:30pm - 10:00 pm when we left, and I think a must have to get a window table overlooking the Downtown and out East to the Suburbs with all the Beautiful lights. I had made a restaurant reservation at the time of booking the room (2 days previous to arrival) the restaurant called me in the morning to confirm my reservation, check if it was a special occasion, a very nice touch. I pointed out that I had reserved outside 2 days ago and this was confirm by a call from the reservations manager that very morning. We were walked back to the restaurant check in desk, little searching later and it turns out 2 people with the same name had reserved so we were shown to a table outside with very limit views. After choosing a wine, we were moved to a table with a very good view, however the wine I chose was not available. I choose a new wine and we ordered food. Shared starter of smoked salmon, fish and chips, roast beef. The started was fine, with a horseradish cream, some shredded radishes, capers, potatoe salad, green bean salad. The mains arrived, fish and chips seemed fine although the fish inside the batter was a bit mushy, either stale or overcooked. The big problem was the roast beef, which looked very nice and perfectly roasted, but was cold as was the mushroom sauce. I mean refrigerator cold, maybe 3°c. The vegetables were not much hotter but at least some effort had been made to heat them. We called the waitor, who offered to cook a new one. We waited over 15-20 minutes and I decided to walk in to the restaurant with open plan kitchen, I could see the food had been scraped off the plate on to a metal baking sheet. This was sitting on the kitchen work top. The vegetables had been put back in to a microwave. I said to the chef you can't reheat the food like that, it's been roasted, cooled, (maybe heated), served, returned, allowed to stand at room temperature, to then re-heat in the pizza oven and serve again was dangerous! I asked if he understood food hygiene. The chef was just dismissive and wout not engage in any meaningful conversation. But his attitude was certain that he was right and he was not going to listen to a customers view of his working practices. I told the chef that he should throw that scraped off the plate portion away, again I was ignored and he just turned his back on me. A waitress approached as she could see a situation developing, she said I would need to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor was in the kitchen area with a few other waiting staff I called her over. She started making notes, about how often I thought it was safe to reheat food??? What? I am not here to give you food hygiene training, I'm pointing out that food that has been cooked and correctly cooled can be safley reheat once! I said we would cancel the beef please bring me the bill. I went back to my table, I drank another ½ glass of wine and the beef turned up again, clearly the exact same portion that I had asked the chef to throw away! I signed the bill to the room after noting the beef was cold and should not be charged, easier at this point to sort it out with the hotel manager later. We left, having had a nice evening ruined, and not feeling comfortable enough to finish our bottle of wine. About an hour after eating I started to get stomach pains and cramp, this turned in to dioreha which lasted well in to the next morning and needed treating with antibiotics. I raised the issue at check out and said I was not going to pay for the beef that I did not get, although I had eaten 2 mouthfuls. They agree, but in reality any serious hotel would have cancelled the food bill as an apology. Its just not worth staying here.

I have been to Yokotai one other time prior to the pandemic and had a great time. Met some nice people and generally enjoyed my evening on the main " farang " strip in Khon Kaen. The restaurant / bar is under new ownership and management however for those that know this place, it retains all the little charms, perks an atmosphere that made it dear to the heart of many expats living in the area. Yes, there has been some minor changes and a few upgrades ( like the new classic bar set up they have invested in directly next door) that has expanded and transformed the location into a place worth visiting. The food is well priced, and what I enjoyed there...delicious. Had another wonderful time this evening, (albeit 3 years after my first visit due to Covid) and highly recommend it as a nice friendly place to hang out without being smothered by bar girls. Yes the place has lovely servers, happy to share some stories and a few laughs in the perfect way so you don't feel like you are being targeted by street smart bar ladies. What the restaurant and bar lacks in flashing neon and black lights and loud music it more than makes up as a great place to chill, meet some people and enjoy some food. This place remains a top spot for me when the wife and I visit Khon Kaen.

Visited December 2021, located close to Pullman Hotel. Staff friendly, service good, food delicious. Not care too much regarding Corona rules, as wearing masks 🥲

It was hot at the restaurant. Fan didn't help much with flies. Food was just so so. The vegetarian burger had no patties just mashed potatoes. But you can request like vegetarian phad Thai etc.

The is the worst bar I’ve ever been in my life. The couple that run it are scammers. I beat them at Pool and because they lost so much money betting with me (they put 2:1 odds meaning if I lose I have to pay them double) the wife got so frustrated and angry she punched me in the face. I told them I’d call the police and they backed off. The husband is a token European guy in his 70s and tries to defend his horrible wife. The husband puts me in a head lock I don’t fight back. I’m the end he finds out that he’s not going to win. Literally a total scam this bar…. The worst couple ever even they were constantly arguing

No idea about their food but watching the rats running around in the kitchen was enough for me. 100baht for a small chang. Avoid at all cost

Asked for egg benedic as per the menu. Waiting half an hour to received 2 pieces of bread not toasted (menu it's muffins) No benedic sauce??? ( Menu it's with it) No asparagus ( Menu it's with it) and all that for 200 bahts. If you went to do Pullman price, just make sure you do also the quality and serve what is on the menu. NEVER AGAIN.

This was my first visit to this restaurant, for breakfast one morning, so I can't say much about the place. Have passed by in the evening on several occasions, and there have always been customers to see in the premises and that is probably a good reference. The breakfast was decent and the staff pleasant, so maybe take a trip in the evening sometime on a later occasion. The place is located in a busy street, with parking outside and elsewhere in the area. Several hotels are nearby, so most guests probably park there or drive easily parked motorcycles.

Excellent cafe, with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Crispy pork with chili's was great. Wife's tom yum with shrimp was excellent as well. Mocha iced very good as well. Great casual atmosphere coupled with a beautiful view of the lake. We'll be back the next time we're transiting through Khon Kaen.

The food is incredible in this place. Traditional Thai food! Staff are very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is excellent and the view is stunning! That was second time we were here and most definitely come back again next time!

Very good restaurant where locating beside of Tungsang swam. The restaurant include with outdoor and private room. The recommended menu is BBQ pork grilled by smile style. The price is around 1xx-2xx bath per menu.

I recommended you for this restaurant. Foods were very delicious. Spare ribs was perfect, soft and juicy. Green curry with beef was very good and the taste was real Thai authentic. I also liked steamed cabbage with fish sauce. The location was great and closed to water pond. You could select for both outdoor and indoor tables. I will visit again when I go to Khon Kaen.
