Yoghurt House is a popular spot in Sagada known for its wide selection of homemade yogurt flavors, including strawberry, honey, banana, and granola. In addition to their delicious yogurts, the restaurant also offers hearty meals like spicy chicken curry, pan-fried beef, and open pork sandwiches. This cozy eatery has become a favorite among locals and tourists alike due to its warm ambiance with wooden interiors and charming decor.
We had a great meal and experience here. We ordered, Baked Chicken, Homemade hot chocolate drink, Bolognese, Yoghurt granola with fruits, Plain yoghurt, and Roasted Pork. The homemade how chocolate is a must try. Their food was not quite expensive. They have big servings. Their yoghurt was authentic among the other yoghurt we tried but not to my taste since it is sour.
DDA A — Google review
The restaurant is nicely located not far from the centre of Sagada and also has a balcony overlooking the main street, so a perfect location. I ordered the rosti dish and a strawberry yogurt drink. The rosti was disappointing, too dry and too oily, although the taste was fine. The yogurt drink was very thin and a bit sharper than I was expecting. Overall, I was a bit disappointed considering all the good reviews.

After hiking for 6 hrs, we came here super hungry and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Sautéed Beef, Spicy Chicken Curry, Aglio-Olio, Roasted Eggplant with Basil, and the Sweet & Spicy Lava Chicken with veg salad. Every dish was flavorful, the servings were generous, and it was exactly the meal we needed after a long day. The place has a cozy vibe. Definitely a must-visit in Sagada, we’ll be back for sure! ❤️
Revie R — Google review
Super tasty dishes, my family loved their pasta and baked chicken, very flavourful. I also loved their chicken curry, very creamy and the spice is just right.

Sagada Yogurt House is a great spot for a relaxing meal with a lovely ambiance, especially on the terrace. It's perfect for passing the time, particularly in the afternoon when many guests are around, yet it still feels cozy and welcoming. Their desserts, especially the yogurt, are a delightful treat after a good meal. This place is also ideal for dating couples looking for a peaceful and charming setting. I highly recommend visiting if you're in Sagada!
Brew S — Google review
We got mixed fruits with yogurt. The yogurt itself was delicious, but some fruits (especially the banana) seemed to have been chopped hours before and were a bit dry.
Allan D — Google review
Their food serving is very generous, and it tastes good. I recommend this place, worth the try.
Cess M — Google review
The food is okay. Nothing special on the yogurt. A bit of pricey for me. The atmosphere is quite nice.

Sagada Brew is a popular spot known for its freshly brewed coffee and delectable cakes. While the prices may be slightly higher than other places, they offer a unique experience with their vegetable sides and diverse breakfast menu. From toast and oatmeal to Filipino-style dishes like beef tapa and sweet pork sausage, there's something for everyone. It's a must-visit for those looking to savor quality coffee and delightful treats in Sagada.
so lucky cause people r so kind, da other customer paid for my bill. taste good and have nice serving too
Acosta Q — Google review
Love the experience here. I'm looking for a quiet relax chill place and this one hits the spot. Lave cake is good and the lemon chapple pie ALA mode is very good! Chit chat with I think the owner and she is very accommodating and friendly. Looking forward to coming back here again in the future
Gelo C — Google review
The coffee was underwhelming, and the lava cake was just okay—on the sweeter side for our preference. The staff were generally fine, though one seemed slightly put off when we presented a senior citizen card for the discount, even though she appeared to be a senior herself. A bit more courtesy would have gone a long way. We didn’t get to try the other food items, but we did overhear nearby guests mentioning that their meals lacked flavor. Hopefully, this is something that can be improved in the future. That said, the ambiance was really nice and made the experience more pleasant overall.
Mariel M — Google review
The place is a vibe, and the owner (I think she was the owner) explained their process of making coffee, which was nice. I ordered a hot americano, and they gave me an iced one. Nonetheless, I think the coffee’s good and refreshing—see the photos.
Kent C — Google review
We had brewed coffee, caramel machiatto, cappucino and lava cake overload. Brewed coffee was bland, caramel machiatto tastes milk only, too sweet. Cappucino tastes 3in1 coffee. Lava cake is good. Service is not so good. Server was confused with the orders of the customers. The middle aged girl on the cashier is not so approachable when we follow up on our to go order like was it our fault? Service could've been improved.
Heyitsme L — Google review
I dont know. This is somewhat “meh”. I was expecting more. The place is good, I love the ambiance. However, the service could still be improved. The cashier goes back to the kitchen from time to time (hence there is a long line). The waiting time is also long (I only saw one staff/waitress). For the food, we had lemon cake and french press and brewed coffee. For the lemon cake, it is okay. But it is not something that I will order again. My friend on the other hand said it was good but would have been better without the ice cream. For the coffee, it is okay, however, my friend told me (the one who order brewed) that the other brewed coffee we had in another nearby resto is better.
Byron G — Google review
It was our first time going in Sagada when we came here at Sagada Brew. Like literally after arriving and registering in Tourism Office, we headed here right away. The vibes is kinda off, because the owner was rude. Food is not worth it for its price. I ordered Vanilla Latte and Lemon Pie and it came very late. My friend's order arrived first which is just Tapsilog. Minutes later, my order wasn't served still. My friend followed up for it and guess what the owner said "Yes eto na pine-prepare na". And you can hear them chit-chatting in the kitchen and in the counter. I also heard the staff (female) saying to my friend, "Gutom yarn?" in an offending way after he asked for the follow-up on my food. It was a very bad experience as a first timer. We really regret dining here and we'd never come back again.
Alia V — Google review
Sagada Brew offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. Their melting moments dessert is a must-try—it's simply divine! However, the wait for our food was a bit longer than expected. While the interior is charming and the dessert is delicious, the food's price point is a bit steep compared to the taste. Despite the longer wait times, the overall ambiance makes it a decent place to visit.

Restaurant
Sagada Lemon Pie House is a must-visit spot in Sagada, known for its delectable lemon pie. Owned by Joseph and Katrina Daoas, the restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere with low tables for a casual dining experience. The original recipe from Joseph's mother adds to the authenticity of the pies, which are freshly baked and live up to their reputation. It's a popular choice among both locals and travelers, making it an essential part of any Sagada experience.
lemon pie is reeeaaally good! lemonade is also made from fresh lemon juice. went here for brunch and was not disappointed. food is good, again lemon pie is great, so far this is the only restaurant in town that I know that accepts Gcash as payment, and the owner is very hospitable and approachable despite the busyness of taking lots of pie orders.
Oli G — Google review
The lemon pie was decent but could use a better balance of tartness and sweetness. The crust was well-made, and we found the egg pie more enjoyable. Perhaps our expectations for the lemon pie were higher. The café had a cozy ambiance, and the staff were warm and welcoming.
Jeric B — Google review
I loved and enjoyed the vibes of the shop. The only comment would be the serving time as it could take slow if there are people on the line. The lemon pie is delicious. Will definitely come back.
Mico R — Google review
It was raining, so we stayed here to find solace through coffee and dessert. We ordered the lemon pie, egg pie, and brewed coffee. The egg pie was the relative standout. I personally liked that the lemons are locally sourced from Sagada itself. I liked it also that we were asked to take off our shoes before going in, and the woodware was incredible.
Kent C — Google review
Overall, didn’t really enjoy the food here Im so sorry. For the lemon pie, we got two slices but they both tasted different. One was zesty and the other had a weak lemon texture. Seems like a consistency issue. The crust was also so dry and hard and didn’t really make me want to finish the whole slice. The egg pie was better tho in terms of crust, texture, and flavor. There are three seating areas. Alfresco sitting, which is a vibe given the cold weather. One area is with short tables where you have to sit on the floor which is so not friendly for people with arthritis (they seat most people here since the restaurant was not full). Last seating area had table and chairs which honestly the most comfortable one with a better ambiance, (reminds you of your grandparents house) but we weren’t allowed to sit there.
Karlee C — Google review
The best lemon pie I've ever had! I absolutely love the place, the food, the coffee and the service.
Giovan A — Google review
Sagada Lemon Pie House offers more than just their signature lemon pies—it’s a place where you feel genuinely welcomed, even by their furry resident! I was greeted by their adorable pug dog who was roaming outside and, to my delight, literally asked me to open the door so he could come in. He’s incredibly friendly and absolutely loves belly rubs, adding a personal and heartwarming touch to the visit. As for the lemon pie, it was perfectly balanced between tart and sweet, with a flaky crust that complements the zesty filling beautifully. However, given that we were their first customers for the day when we visited in the morning, the pie wasn’t freshly baked—it was served cold, which slightly diminished the experience. Despite this, the flavors were still great. The rustic charm of the café, combined with the cozy ambiance and friendly staff (and pug!), makes this a must-visit spot in Sagada. Just a tip: it might be better to visit later in the day when the pies might be fresher.
Haniel C — Google review
This is a lemon house, but still the lemon pie is great, the lemonade is unlike those in the malls, really fresh lemons and the lemon tea is exceptional. We didn't have a full course meal, so i can't tell. But for what it's worth, their lemon products are really great. But why the 3 stars, for one they didn't have stocks because we really loved the lemon juice and we cannot take out. The way they desinged the place compliments their advertised product. But i can just only imagine how it goes if they run out of lemon supposing they don't have enough for take out. But if you're after a quick bite and longing for refreshments after a long hike in the caves and mountains, this is a must supposing they don't run out of lemons and their lemon drinks are just the same price that of a bottled water considering it's healthy lemon extract.

Salt N Pepper Diner is a cozy and underrated restaurant located in Sagada, Philippines. It offers a variety of local specialties such as Chicken Inutom, Etag Sisig, and Dinakiw rice meals at affordable prices. The menu also includes international dishes like ramen, quesadillas, and tortilla rolls. Additionally, the diner serves appetizers like nachos, buffalo wings, calamari, and more.
Perfect blend of great food warm service and an inviting atmosphere. I only try one of their standout dishes is the Canton which is generously portioned making it ideal for 2-4 people. At such a budget-friendly price it’s an absolute steal. The flavor is nothing short of amazing each bite is a delicious treat that keeps you coming back for more. Vibe of the place is another highlight. It’s chill cozy and perfect for unwinding. The crew adds to the charm they’re incredibly friendly approachable and always ready to make your experience memorable. For the best experience, I highly recommend visiting at night. The relaxed ambiance under the night sky truly elevates the charm of this wonderful spot.
Will — Google review
If you are exploring for food and want to support the locals, I would suggest to try this place. We ordered the etag sisig and ramen. The etag ramen was really nice for me because of its unique smoky flavor; although a bit salty but you know it’s “ETAG”. The sisig was just okay; the etag flavor is weak. But hey, try and try lang. The service was also welcoming.
Dudong ( — Google review
The Etag Pizza was delicious, a must have!! Ordered their Chopsuey too, the veggies were fresh and crunchy with chicken in mushroom sauce. So yummy.
Joseph G — Google review
Appreciate the food in all fairness. For a group of 9, we paid a total of around 5k. I would say the prices are as same as in Manila. A bit overpriced but food servings is above average. The vibe at night is so nice. Staff are welcoming. Pansit Canton is highly recommended. Tried the steak but was well done.
Karlo — Google review
One of the best. Highly recommend the cookie crumble yogurt (200php) - a taste of traditionally fermented yogurt with similar taste to a rice wine (bigger portion pls 😋). The fries overload (280php) was also worth the price given the portion.
Winsly D — Google review
Salt and Pepper in Sagada offers a memorable dining experience, but it can get quite busy, especially on weekends. The restaurant was packed when we visited, and we ended up waiting over 40 minutes for our food to be served. While the wait was long, the food did not disappoint. The ingredients used were fresh and the portions were generous. The ambiance is cozy, and the staff are friendly, but it’s clear that this place attracts a lot of visitors due to its popularity. If you’re in a rush or prefer a quieter dining experience, it might be best to visit during off-peak hours. Overall, the meal was worth the wait, but be prepared for a bit of a delay, especially on busy days.
HLC M — Google review
Their tantanmen tasted like a corn soup It overpowered the broth. The food quality wasn’t worth the price.
Melody P — Google review
Food was okay. We had Shoyu Ramen, cheese fries and etag pizza. We were so disappointed with the Ramen, as Ramen lover this ramen is the worst. It was bland, boiled egg taste different like it's spoiled, soup is not umami, noodles is so soggy. Etag pizza is just okay but not special. Thankful that the cheese fries is good, i love it. Staff are approachable. Service is good. Resto ambiance is good. It's just the food that's bit failing.

Nestled in Sagada, Gaia Cafe is a charming treehouse-inspired spot that offers stunning views of Ambassing Valley en route to Sumaguing Cave. This cozy community cafe gained fame after being featured in the 2014 Filipino romantic comedy 'That Thing Called Tadhana.' It has become a beloved dining spot for couples and tourists seeking to recreate moments from the film.
If you're not a vegetarian, you might find yourself missing the taste of meat in their sandwiches. The food and coffee are good, and the place exudes a calm, peaceful atmosphere, perfect for moments of quiet reflection. The customer service is alright, though perhaps it's influenced by the local culture, where people tend to be more reserved, and it shows in the demeanor of those who live here. This is truly a haven for introverts.
Janet A — Google review
Veggie options menu but worth the price! I have no issue switching being a meat lover. Adobo rice and veggie salad are okay. Prepare Php300-600 per person. Great for those with dm2. Geraldine will help you out with the place and menu. Go in early if you want to stay by the veranda and have some good time taking videos/pictures.
Ryan J — Google review
Pesto Pasta feels like home! The kind of rich flavor I would splurge again given the chance 😌 Gaia Sandwich is a must try! I paired it with Kamote Fries whose drizzles compliments the whole bite! 🥳 I tried Vegetarian Adobo during my first visit, it’s oozing with spices and rich flavor for an Adobo! 😋 Also, the only in season fruit is banana so Banana Shake was with me, too! 😅 They use organic ingredients and the place feels cozy. 🥹
Aileen O — Google review
The best food spot in Sagada that lives up to its promise… a vegetarian restaurant! I thought it was just another so-so food spot in the area. Their hot chocolate is THE BEST! (Better than baguio tsokolate batirol imo) Every thing i tasted in their menu tastes delicious: Pumpkin Soup, Adobong Tofu, and Gaia Sandwich (this one i ordered for take-out, then when i reheated it later it still tastes fresh and still flavorful. The view is breathtaking too. Definitely should not be missed when going to Sagada.
Anne R — Google review
It's a great place if you're looking for a good view. The food was nice, even though it could be better at some points, but you won't be disappointed!!! Pass by!
André F — Google review
The ambiance of this place is superb! Nestled on the mountainside with a great view of the rice terraces. The food is decent, but you'd more likely want to stay there for the vibe.
Aly M — Google review
The location takes a longer walking distance from the town proper, but I enjoyed walking in Sagada. The place is neat and cozy. I would want to stay there for long hours. The food is great, I had their pesto and mixed ice cream. The pesto taste is not overpowering, it just suffice to the large serving of noodles. The ice cream is not very sweet, I liked it. The view while eating is what made it better. It is a bit pricey though. For the service, not sure if they lack staff but there was only one handling the entire place except the kitchen. It took a while to get the order, took a while for the dish to arrive too. By the way, they also sell other products and merch. I'm interested to try other dishes when I get back to Sagada.

Located in Sagada, Log Cabin is a renowned restaurant that has been serving customers since 1991. The smokehouse and restaurant are famous for their Saturday and special occasion buffets prepared by French Chef Aklay. These buffets are highly sought after, especially now that travel restrictions have eased in the town. The restaurant offers a rustic and cozy dining experience within a genuine log cabin, providing an inviting atmosphere with a touch of nostalgia.
Our annual Sagada trip wouldn’t be complete without dining at Sagada Log Cabin—it’s become a tradition for us! We ordered everything in the photos I uploaded, and honestly, the long drive from Batangas to Sagada was so worth it. Every dish was flavorful, hearty, and satisfying. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. On our second visit that same week, they even remembered our baby, which made the experience even more special. We visited during a rainy evening, and they lit the bonfire—it added such a cozy and welcoming vibe to the whole restaurant. Price-wise, it’s reasonable considering the generous portions—definitely busog for a Filipino appetite. If you’re exploring Sagada and looking for a place to eat, I highly recommend Sagada Log Cabin. I’m already excited to come back!
Ynnah D — Google review
The wild-mushroom soup was good! I really liked it—but only that. The pizza wasn’t good, nor was the pork. Both were too salty. The staff weren’t accommodating either. They could have justified their pricing with better service, especially since the food wasn’t great anyway. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Overall, not worth it.
Jane B — Google review
Dishes are great tasting, we ordered their bolognese, paprika roastes chicken and ham and chees pizza. I think the pizza is too expensive for its size, compared to the other dishes, the taste and amount of serving is perfect. We parked just before the diversion in front of the municipal hall. There’s no parking in the restaurant.

I went to Sagada to spend my birthday and had a specific list of places I want to visit, including Log Cabin Sagada. Had my birthday dinner here to try their forrest ham and bacon etag, and it didnt disappoint! My partner and I had a very filling meal with the generous serving of their dishes. Although they didnt have cakes, they made do with what they and went an extra mile to help me celebrate by giving me an in-house serving of their yogurt with a birthday greeting. And our server, Warren, really did a great job in accommodating us. I will surely come back and dine again with you! ❤️❤️❤️

The restaurant is situated at the heart of Sagada. The food is sooo good. We ordered Menu II and Menu V and they did not disappoint. Plus the serving is so big. The drinks, too, are refreshing. We had the Mango Sprite mocktail and the Passion Fruit mocktail. Both are so good. It also has a wifi. We waited for our bus here in this resto and their host/server was so kind to offer us their egg tart, ON THE HOUSE. Best dessert for a sumptous meal. Sagada overall has the best people. Babalikan talaga, Sagada.

The food was amazing (and the drinks too!). As a non-coffee girlie, I fell in love with their fruit teas too — we tried new flavors with every meal and now I’m craving it again 😭 They only have 3 rooms (for couples and groups), which makes the place feel super exclusive and cozy. The cabin vibes are so nice — it really gives you that warm mountain experience.Definitely a must-visit when you go to Sagada! Special shoutout to Jhon who made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay despite the typhoon. Their in-room service was a lifesaver, and the constant check-ins (even from the admin on IG) made us feel so safe and at home 🫶 We’ll definitely come back — hopefully on a good weather next time! P.S. they offer unli bread & coffee during your stay! 🥖☕️

This meal is a great mix of comfort food and healthy elements. There’s variety, and each dish looks well-seasoned and thoughtfully prepared. If the flavors match the visuals, this would be a truly satisfying meal! The plating is well-arranged, with a good balance of protein, carbs, and vegetables. The heart-shaped sauce dishes add a nice touch of charm. The portions are generous, and everything looks freshly prepared.
Joanna C — Google review
I got the menu V with pork steak. That's a pretty simple dish, but very tasty. The vegetables were with a firm texture, which is how I prefer, and the pork was just a bit overcooked, but well seasoned. The staff is very friendly, and we met a talkative little girl, who seems to be the chef's daughter.

Misty Lodge and Cafe is a peaceful lodging house located in Sagada, Mountain Province. It is renowned for its reasonably priced and quality pizzas, burgers, steaks, breakfast meals, and yoghurt. The lodge's cafe offers a cozy and homey ambiance where guests can enjoy excellent food from breakfast to dinner. Misty Lodge is highly recommended for those who love places with a warm atmosphere.
If you’re in town, don’t miss breakfast at Misty Lodge Café. From a wide selection of delicious options to their rich and comforting hot chocolate (a definite favorite!), everything was spot on. The yogurt was fresh and flavorful, and the ambiance made it the perfect place to start the day. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a satisfying and relaxing breakfast experience.

The food was good and well-prepared. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but still okay for the quality. The room was decent, nothing too special but comfortable enough. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the overall ambience of the place was pleasant. Not a perfect experience, but still enjoyable.

We went to Sagada for 8 days to take a much-needed break from the stress at work. My co-workers and I were really looking forward to some peace and quiet, and Sagada definitely delivered on the calm, cool weather and beautiful views. For our 8 nights, we booked a stay at Misty Lodge. The location itself is serene and relaxing — perfect for unwinding. However, our experience with the staff, particularly at the reception, was disappointing. From the start, the reception wasn’t hospitable. Every time we made a request, we felt like we were bothering them. It gave us the impression that we were difficult guests, even though we were only asking for basic assistance. The cold Sagada weather is refreshing, but we wish the staff could “cool down” their attitudes and be more welcoming and respectful in how they treat guests. It was also disheartening to feel like only certain people — such as artists or famous personalities — were given proper attention and treatment. All guests deserve to be treated with the same level of hospitality, regardless of their status. Overall, we don’t recommend Misty Lodge. There are plenty of other places in Sagada that offer the same great views, with better service.
Guiller A — Google review
My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights. Definitely will come back for their yogurt and cozy place!! 💚 But will not recommend for those working remotely. We experienced intermittent internet connectivity in the main house, and we had no signal for Smart or Globe. I'm not sure if the same issues exist in the other rooms. Kudos to ate at the front desk!! Very accommodating and attentive. I observed that ate at the front desk is taking the order and also serving/preparing the food, which makes the service slower. The food is expensive; they should invest in more staff.
Angelou A — Google review
We stayed here for a week to fully experience Sagada and take some time to unwind. The view was absolutely breathtaking, complemented by the cool mountain breeze, which made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The food was decent, though slightly overpriced. Their yogurt, in particular, was delicious and worth trying. However, what significantly affected our overall experience was the customer service. Our first day went well. The owner “Misty” welcomed us warmly, which even encouraged us to extend our stay to eight days. Unfortunately, as the days went by, the service noticeably declined. The receptionist/staff began to treat us in a way that made us feel unwelcome, as though our presence was more of a burden than a valued guest. It was disheartening and disappointing, especially since hospitality plays such a crucial role in the overall guest experience. It’s worth noting that we weren’t the only ones who felt this way; we came across similar complaints from other guests. We sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to improve their customer service. A beautiful location and decent food can only go so far—genuine hospitality is what truly makes a stay memorable. Despite the unfortunate experience with the staff, Sagada’s natural beauty and the activities the area offers still made our trip worthwhile. But for future guests to fully enjoy their stay, we strongly urge the lodge to address these service issues.

located a good distance from the town proper in a wooded area. Rooms are spacious, well kept, clean, cozy, comfortable; CR in room. Food served is good, try their pizzas and burgers, yogurt. Wifi in house. Hosts are gracious and accommodating.

The place has a peaceful setting and lovely pets that make it feel cozy. However, the service from the reception staff was disappointing. We didn’t feel genuinely welcomed, and even basic assistance felt like too much to ask. Sagada is beautiful and worth visiting, but we’ll look for a different place to stay next time.

THE BEST CAFE I have gone so far in Sagada Mountains! So cozy, lovely and really good food there! Loved the music, maybe they should bring the music to the outside too, not just for the tables inside. Anyway, perfect! P.S.: I was there only for the Cafe

Nestled in the heart of Sagada, the Sagada Clay House Wine Bar offers a unique experience for wine enthusiasts. This Honesty Wine Bar and tasting room allows visitors to sample a variety of local fruit wines from Piitik Wines at an affordable price per glass. The selection includes Blueberry Wine, Bugnay, Tapuey, Persimmon, and Traditional Rice Wine.
It’s an HONESTY wine bar. They don’t serve foods there. I really their concept. Hopefully, people who will visit the place will adhere to it. They also have coffee station too. With drip coffee. Went to this place to buy more wine. Bought one for Mun too.

I enjoyed the Bugnay wine, but the best part was having the privilege to have a meaningful conversation with the winemakers along with the owner about their in-depth knowledge in producing local wines and a brief culture of Sagada.

An absolute hidden gem in Sagada! The wine was very good and reasonably priced. Also, the atmosphere and hosts were extremely pleasant. A MUST VISIT WHEN IN SAGADA!!

Bana's Coffee is a charming café located in the Mountain Province, known for its locally sourced and roasted coffee beans from the nearby mountains of Sagada. They offer a variety of coffee blends such as Arabica, Robusta, and Excelsa, along with espresso-based drinks. The café provides a pleasant environment to relax or work, with a bar area offering views of pine trees.
We ordered spanish latte hot and cold and another brewed coffee. We also had blueberry cheesecake. Cafe ambiance is great. View is great. Service is good. Staff are approachable. Coffee is soooo good here, from the couple of cafes we tried in Sagada this is so far has the best coffee. The best.
Heyitsme L — Google review
3rd time here. Bana's breakfast is such a hearty one. The red rice has deep flavor, saltiness of the sausage is just right, mango is huge, fresh and sweet, and my most fave of all, the vegetable salad 😍 every bite, you can taste the absolute freshness, as if my whole being and not just my guts is being cleansed 😭 Pastries we ordered are also decently good. As for the drinks, you can taste the fruity notes in their black coffee. Alamid one has stronger, bolder taste than black. Had to mellow it down through 2 teaspoons of brown sugar.
Maine S — Google review
Bana’s Coffee is a must-visit in Sagada! The coffee is rich, smooth, and freshly brewed, you can really taste the difference. The place has a cozy, laid back vibe, perfect for relaxing after exploring the town. Definitely one of the best spots to enjoy a good cup of coffee with mountain views. ☕️🌿
Stella J — Google review
They make good coffee — YES. But the owner or cashier lady (not sure which) wasn’t welcoming at all. I asked about their Banas Black Coffee (can’t quite remember the name), but she didn’t bother explaining what they offer. I asked a simple question and all I got was a sarcastic “Of course,” with attitude. Lol.

This place is highly recommended by the locals. This was the second coffee shop we visited on our first 3-hour visit here in Sagada. The place compliments on the coffee they served, very cozy and not congested. Every corner of their store really tells how enthusiastic they are about serving coffee since then. We also had a session with the local farmers here in Sagada, the name of Bana's coffee shop is highly saturated in local coffee culture in Sagada. As per the locals, they pioneered the coffee scene in this province. They King and Queen the caffeinated bloods of the Kankanai Igorots, a tribe of the local Sagada.

Excellent coffee and cake. The place smells great, too. They also sell whole and ground beans, though I thought they are somewhat pricey. There is free WiFi - the password is displayed at the counter.

Best place to relax since they also have sofas and overlooking view. The coffee are so great and must try the etag Carbonara so tasty.

I enjoy discovering hidden gems in various places. I consider this café, though relatively popular, a gem in Sagada. It was recently awarded (forgot the title, though). I love the homey vibe here. Everything feels raw, humble, and familiar. It's just that the prices are a bit steep, but I can overlook that. It's definitely a must-visit spot whenever you're in Sagada. Shoutout to the kind crew!

Sagada Strawberry Cafe offers a cozy ambiance with real trumpet vines adorning the entrance. The friendly staff provides great service, and the food is delicious without being too pricey. Their chicken tinola and magnificent coffee come highly recommended. This cafe also serves one of the best breakfasts in Sagada, featuring decent food and delectable strawberry yogurt. With outdoor seating surrounded by their own strawberry plants, it's a charming spot to enjoy a meal.
One of the best breakfasts that we experienced in Sagada. The food is very decent and they have one of the best strawberry yogurts too. The place has outdoor seating where you can eat beside their own strawberry plants. The price of the food is also just right.

Best yoghurt in town - really smooth and creamy. The fruit toppings & jam are sweet and tangy which makes it well-balanced. Para kang niyayakap in every bite! I also love the homey and cozy vibes of the place. Try to buy their strawberry jam (super delish!!) so you’ll have something to remember (or eat rather) when you miss Sagada!

I love the ambiance of this resto. Their real trumpet vines from the entrance towards the building is a great idea. I thought bits wasn't real at first but i was wrong , they're real. The staff are friendly amd warm and their services great ... Their food was also good and not that expensive...their chicken tinola was absolutely good. And their coffee? Magnificent. I do recommend this resto.

Their Strawberry Yogurt is superb!!! I really loved it! It's already worth it for its price since their strawberries are very fresh knowing that they are freshly picked from their own mini farm! ❤️
Crystal O — Google review
Food is super affordable with great portions, especially considering how touristy Sagada has become in recency (other restaurants nearby are comparatively pricey). Had two lunches here actually, but the place really seems better for breakfast. They grow their own strawberries for their food! Great wait staff and great view for sipping on Sagada brew or mountain tea as well. Oh, also they're particularly known for their yogurt. Fair warning, theirs is on the sweeter side.

Best yogurt... Tastes natural little bit sour tastes of yogurt and strawberries are perfect mix...

This was my regular place during my stay, and not only because I stayed next door. Service is prompt and I liked everything I tried. Chicken sandwich (80PHP), strawberry shake and yogurt (80 PHP each) and tomato onion omelette as take away (generous portion for 120PHP + 10PHP take out charge which got me a very nice container I'm still using). Staff not super smiley but I liked coming here. Outdoor seating too. They close early and a bit at different times though, so breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are your best bets.

Isang Wow Cafe by the Clouds offers a delightful breakfast experience with breathtaking views of the sea of clouds. The cafe provides an affordable menu and generous servings, making it a must-visit in Sagada. The picturesque setting and cozy ambiance make it perfect for meaningful conversations and relaxation. Additionally, visitors can explore unique pasalubong options at the souvenir area. While enjoying the extraordinary view, guests can savor delicious meals such as the Etag sandwich and hot coffee.
Breathtaking view. Great and affordable food. Would love to come back. Last visit: July 2022 ✅ very friendly owners and staff ✅ if you prefer less to no crowd, go in the late afternoon for coffee, food or sweets. Food get served hot.

Visited Isang Wow Cafe and although we missed the famous sunrise cloud viewing, the afternoon view was still breathtaking with the Cordilleran mountains stretching out in front of us. The food was okay; tried the rabbit meat, but it was a bit on the chewy side. Still, the view alone makes it worth the trip!
Hunyo — Google review
This place has one of the best views you can get from a restaurant. It's even better if you come early to catch the sunrise, really peaceful and beautiful. The food servings are big, so you won’t leave hungry. We really liked the etag pancit—it has a unique, smoky taste that’s different from the usual pancit canton. The hot chocolate was also really good, thick, creamy, and perfect for the cold weather. The sandwich and rice meal were okay, not amazing, but still good. If you're in this part of Sagada, it's definitely worth checking out—for both the view and the food.

a food pit offering a sensible serving sizes of silog/rice meals, etag-flavored sandwiches and pasta/noodles and few other things; the stunning and refreshing view of the Cordilleras combined with the cool mountain breeze just make your dine-in a complete experience; place is located along the Sagada-Bontoc road a bit separated from the downtown but local tricycles are available; for those with own cars parking will be on the road itself; “sea of clouds” thing can be experienced if came early in the morning; it also sells a variety of souvenir items including etag; too, we’re grateful to the staff for allowing us to hang on for quite a while as we do our online ‘ems’ with strong wireless data around; our only complain: hot brewed coffee is not good.

An amazing and unique experience! Had a fantastic weekend, completely disconnected from the rest of the world. The facilities are top notch, surrounded by the mountains & clouds ⛅️ a must place to visit wen you travel to Sagada. They also sell Souvenirs and we bought Etag that you can buy w/ the same price in the local market. Just need to improve the Food and Drinks. Taste less. Especially the pancakes we had on the breakfast. But overall the Local owners is very polite and kind 😇 definitely will be back again. 🥰

View is spectacular but do bring a light jacket for when the wind blows. It is a family run business with help from some students from neighboring communities especially the Kilong area. Did a brisk early morning walk from Amlangan Lodge in the south end of town going uphill to work up an appetite. Was rewarded in the end with this heavenly view and good food.

Opened in December 2022, Toast Ave. & Co. is a recently established café known for its pleasing aesthetics. It features a self-service Yogurt Bar with prices ranging from P90 to P125, depending on the choice of toppings. Additionally, it offers all-day breakfast at an affordable price of P220 and Egg Drop Sandwiches priced between P130 and P145.

Tried this cafe last November 2023. Hands down to the best modern cafe in Sagada. Food here's bang for the buck. We ate thrice during our stay - yes it is that good! Can't get enough of their pasta, egg drop and their beverages. All that we ordered taste really great. Def will recommend and hopefully will be able to visit again.

Everything I had was great and delicious especially their yogurt! In fact, I also bought egg drop sandwiches for take out so I can eat it during my trip going back to the metro. The aesthetic of the place is so dainty. There are also board games you can play with while waiting for your order. I had been here thrice during my 5 days stay in Sagada. Can’t wait to be back!

This was the BEST place we ate in Sagada. Top 5 we ate in the Philippines actually. The atmosphere is cozy, the service was friendly, and the food was incredible. Also, the prices are a breath of fresh air compared to nearby restaurants. My wife got the breaded pork, which was absolutely delicious. But the egg drop sandwich with cheese, bacon and ham was the crown jewel... probably the best egg/breakfast sandwich I've ever had. It was bursting with flavor, and it was unique (never seen egg drop on a sandwich). I'm telling you, eat here, order the egg drop sandwich!!! It was AMAZING! Do it, or I will come find you and make you.

Toast Ave. is the place you'd want to hang around forever and just chill. Aesthetically pleasing. Cozily inviting. Environmentally relaxing. These are the things we've felt when we set foot on this lone establishment after a long and arduous trek in Sagada. Could there be a more perfect way to conclude the day? A cup of coffee or hibiscus tea with honey in this haven of laid back environment is just perfect. The price too is spot on and wouldn't puncture your pockets like other touristy spots. The staff is friendly and very amicable that we shared some laughs. We love the place, the prices, the coffee, the tea, the staff - everything. Will definitely go back when in Sagada again. And, as Singaporeans say of a place when it is highly recommended - " DIE DIE MUST TRY! LAH!"
Maikeru — Google review
Sagada is a beautiful place but finding the right place to enjoy food is a hit or miss. If your looking for a specialty coffee of the well known Sagada Arabica Coffee, this is the best place for you. Not a coffee lover? Enjoy mixing your own choice of fruit or local tea at their tingi station. Looking for a small plate for sharing? They have it for you. Want a bigger meal? They have it too. Plus you'll definitely enjoy their ambiance of rustic-charm with elegance.

Beautiful place and excellent food Toast Ave Co may seem like your typical pretty cafe with expensive food and aesthetics up the wazoo, but this little hillside eatery backs up its great view and great indoor dining area with really great food From rice meals that both look great and are filling, to snack options that are a delight to the senses, and even sodas and drinks with popping pearls (always fun), this cafe is great for those mid day or afternoon snacks or meals in between the visits all over Sagada If you like the aesthetic, this place will make you feel great. If you like good food at a reasonable price, the food is definitely up to bar. Drop by the place if you're nearby. It's worth the visit.

I love the place! Good place to relax and absorb the pine trees' vibe while you enjoy your sausages and beer and the warmth from bonfire. The management are very kind and accomodating. They do offer overnight stays and dinners but for pre-booking only. Don't miss this when you visit Sagada!

Great ambiance for sunset happy hour. They have a limited menu but the kielbasa sausage with rice wine beer was so good! They have a guitar, bonfire, and slack line for people to use.
Pam T — Google review
A wonderful, special place. Great atmosphere for just hanging out & an actual reason to go back to Sagada. Because we came in the holiday season, we had to pay in advance for the dinner inside. (Ifugao buffet dinner - hearty, hefty & good.) But anyone can walk in when they open at 5pm for the bonfire, sausages & their own draft brews using locally significant ingredients (ex. black rice, sagada orange). Highly suggested: Hire a van service for the evening. It's a bit of a trek through an unlit path up a hill.

Sausage and Beer are the perfect combo! We enjoyed this place the most during our stay. The caretaker let us borrow a guitar so that we can sing some music during the bonfire. People can also bring marshmallows to grill here.

Tried local beers here.. The guava ale is recommended! Only tried the tapa and sausage that goes well with the beer. If you are looking for outdoor ambiance with bonfire, this is it. The location is a bit far if you don't have private transpo, but it is walkable. I will go back for their main meals.

My overall favourite place in Sagada. The craft beers, the staff, atmosphere, and food were all incredible. We were even given free food during our last night of stay here. There are also adorable dogs around the area that make the place more bubbly. Chill vibe, great food, bonfire to keep you warm, and accommodating staff and owner. Such a perfect place to unwind after a tiring tour in Sagada. I wish I could bring their beers, tapa, and Pancho (Papa P's pug) with me in Manila.

The grain bread. I'm not sure if they made those but I really enjoyed them and kept the leftovers until we left Sagada. Sunset View and Pizza Bar is a charming restaurant nestled in Sagada, Philippines, offering a stunning panoramic view of the mountains and valleys. Despite the challenging uphill trek from town, visitors are rewarded with delicious pizza and warm hospitality from Ate Aurora/Au. While foggy weather may obscure the sunset at times, guests can still enjoy the cozy ambiance by the bonfire.
Local baker family that sells delicious pizza you can eat during sunset. Nothing like Italian pizza, but the pizza has its own unique taste and we liked it very much! We loved the service! The only vegetarian option is the cheese pizza. We asked if we could have some vegetables on top (tomato and onion were available) and that was no problem. They even brought the pizza to the viewpoint. We saw a beautiful sunset! A bit of clouds, but the view was unreal. In January, it can get windy on top, so bring a hoodie of jacket to keep you warm. Or I guess you can ask if you they start the fire.

We tried walking to this place from town proper. It was a 1.5 hrs uphill walk. Not expecting that Lake Danum is open, hence we still proceeded just to try their pizza and of course the view. The hike was not a joke, would recommend a ride when you go here. It was all foggy and occasional drizzle of rain. But the ambiance is superb. Ate Aurora/Au was such a good host, giving us good coffee with free refill, and prepping the pizza. Definitely recommend this place.

Our experience at the cellar door was simply amazing. The floor manager made sure everyone was well taken care of. The wine was smooth and clean, while the sausage and sourdough paired perfectly. Lastly, the overall atmosphere made our visit even more enjoyable—cold weather, warm company, accommodating staff, and sumptuous beverages.

This place was a vibe!! We recommend the beers—especially the guava-flavored one. The food was great, although they were just starters and not dinner food. We stayed here for hours, just vibing, and when it got too cold, they had a bonfire. There’s a lot of people at around 5-6pm so I recommend you go there just as it opens at 4pm to get good seats. Food is moderately pricey, but the beer’s affordable. Serving is fast as well. I recently learned though that they are the most prominent place in Sagada that isn’t owned by a local. Egregious, despite the vibe.

This was one of the coolest places we have been to with the WORST service and TERRIBLE beer. The IPA tastes like a band-aid. Everything we asked for was "unavailable" and they would not light the fire. The place is full of mold too, which is probably hazardous to good health. Definitely will never return and I would suggest passing this place up. If there were a half-star, I still would hesitate to give that out...

Sagada Bistro is a charming spot that offers a variety of enticing dishes and excellent coffee options. The menu features lamb, beef, sautéed vegetables, and Shanghai rolls cooked with flavorful herbs like rosemary, ginger, and thyme. With most meals priced below P200, the portions are generous and satisfying. The American influence is evident in both the ambiance and the cuisine. Highlights include the pancit canton sagada which has a nice flavor despite being slightly salty.
We ordered Pinikpikan and Chicken Curry for our early dinner and it was so good! Their Spanish Latte is quite decent, too. I really enjoyed the vibes and love the music playing on the background. We'll surely come back here 💖 Sagada Bistro gave our Sagada trip a very nice experience. But it would be better if they always keep the door going to the CR closed, because mosquitoes are coming inside.

We have ordered their famous Etag Tomato Pasta, Homemade Beef Tapa with free hot coffee (we loved the beans!), and Iced Spanish Latte (which I super loved as well!), all I can say is that we have truly enjoyed the food. We'll be happy to visit this again! An indeed a must try!

Sagada Bistro has a nice dining place. We went there for lunch and they have a big place to accommodate at least 50 visitors. My issues here is their slow service. Visitors during our visit were just minimal but it took time for us to be serve from handling the menu to serving of food up to getting our bill. The food is good but mediocre - Something good enough to fill your hunger but forgettable. It made me think that they are undermanned and overrated in social media. My balcony lunch experience under the shade of outdoor vine plants is what I enjoy most here.

After an enjoyable trip to Sagada, we discovered this restaurant. While the prices were on the higher, the quality of the food made it worth it! The ambiance was warm and inviting, their cr were squeky clean, and the mesmerizing views added a touch of experience. The highlight of our visit was their hot chocolate—rich, comforting, and perfect for the cold weather. It's definitely a must-try if you're in the area!

This is one of the resto that we have planned to visit prior to our arrival in Sagada. We enjoyed the food because they were served fast and tasted good. Value for money. Will come back again :)

We had our dinner here together with my friends and it was disappointing. 😩 Pork roll was and pizza was not cooked well, and even the tinolang manok and fried chicken there was a strand of hair in both of them. And I didn't expect that they would put a service charged. Lol Staff is rude especially guy at the counter.

Coffee shop
The coffee shop Sagada Rust 'n Wood Cafe is located about a 25-30 minute walk away from the town. The journey there offers a pleasant view, although returning to town may present some challenges. To make the trip more convenient, it is recommended to rent a motor vehicle. Despite its small size, the cafe provides a comfortable atmosphere. The drinks served are of good quality and reasonably priced souvenirs and trinkets can be found here as well.
Rust n Wood in Sagada is on the pricier side for the food but It’s worth trying. However, their drinks are a highlight. Matcha is hard to find in Sagada, so I was really glad to discover it here. The matcha is authentic and has a rich, true flavor. And their coffee is good too! One area they could improve is the soup—it wasn’t quite up to par. Overall, it’s a good spot, but with some room for improvement. A good spot to try!

Beef tapa with mushroom that I ordered is just OK kinda sweet it taste odd for me. The Pasta is much better taste good. Servers here seems not happy or maybe it's a Sagada restaurant thing coz it's not only this restaurant but also the other restaurant that we have tried (check out my other sagada restaurant reviews) place looks and feels cozy it's just that the flies or langaw are all buzzing around trying to share with your food (maybe its langaw season kaya napakadami, you will notice fly papers around the area)

Rustwood is a restaurant around 10 mins drive away from the center. It offers a wide parking space, variety of food choices and a souvenir shop. It is well-lit, well-ventilated and focused for tourist looking at the price range. Chicken Teriyaki at 350php 1. Chicken - crispy and umami packed esp with the sauce (quite salty) 2. Rice topped with egg 3. Pinikpikan-Etag soup with chayote 4. Salad bowl (grated carrots, cucumber, tomato, and lettuce with sauce) Mango Graham at 200 php Creamy, fruity and one of the best I had. They also have a small garden for condiments and garnish: Basil, Coriander, rosemary, blue peas, onion leaks, fennel, thai basil, tomato, egg plant, garlic, chives, mint.

Conveniently located just off the main road, this restaurant offers ample parking and combines a modern design with a cosy atmosphere. Perched on the second floor, it provides great views of the mountains—during our visit, we were treated to a mesmerizing sea of clouds in the morning. Orders are placed on the ground floor, where there’s also a small souvenir shop offering local crafts, coffee, and other regional specialities. We ordered the spicy ramen and fried bangus. The ramen was served with kimchi, while the bangus came with rice, egg, salad, and soup. Each dish was well presented, served promptly, and tasted delicious. It's definitely a place worth visiting!

The food here is the best! The sisig etag and cheesy etag were some of the best I’ve had, perfectly flavorful and paired with a comforting sinigang soup that completes the meal. Definitely worth the price! Another highlight was the homemade yogurt, the combination of crispies and fresh fruits made it a perfect treat. I’m honestly surprised more people don’t dine here. It’s better than the food at the nearby restaurants (the overlooking view was just the advantage) lol. jk… but seriously, this place deserves more love!
Mac B — Google review
I recently tried the etag sisig in Sagada Rust n Wood Cafe, and it was worth to try! The smoky taste of etag blended well with the flavors of sisig, creating a unique and delicious dish. I also had the Sagada drip coffee, which had a rich and bold flavor that complemented the meal. A must-try experience if you’re in Sagada! This place is also great for buying souvenirs. I bought lemongrass tea, mint tea, and dried lemons, which can be used in cocktails or as flavorings in tea.
Brendalyn P — Google review
The place and vibes feel cozy but modern. The ground floor feels busy with their products not sure if you can dine there otherwise you have to climb up to second floor. The food is ok - i find it a bit pricey.
Anne R — Google review
Located near the Sumaguing cave entry/exit point. Overall we LOVED the food. The etag sisig was really good, the flavour of etag was not too strong. The sinigang has a different flavour profile but tasted good as well. Why am I rating this a ⭐️? Because there are too many stray cats bothering you while eating. The owner said it is not their cats. My wife got bitten by one of the cats when she accidentally stepped on the cat while getting up from her chair! She ended up getting anti-rabies shot. Be very very careful dining here.

Ganduyan Inatep Cafe, also known as Sagada, is a hidden gem offering traditional Filipino cuisine and a glimpse into the local culture. The cafe's name "Inatep" refers to the one-room houses with cogon grass roofs, which are traditional structures in the area. Visitors can enjoy native brew coffee and generous servings of Beef Tapa while taking in the picturesque garden views.
the place serves amazing “Inatep” meals (we tried their Inatep breakfast, Inatep chick-con, Inatep Beef, Inatep Chicken, and Inatep Pork and they were all amazing!!) the staff were all very friendly and accommodating and the place has a very nice, homey vibe. Definitely worth visiting if you’re ever in Sagada.
Alyssa M — Google review
This restau is managed by Lester Aben's wife and kids, who also oversee the nearby Ganduyan Museum. For those interested in delving deeper into Sagada's history, the Ganduyan Museum is conveniently located nearby. It houses a collection of artifacts that provide insight into the traditions and way of life of the local people. One of the standout dishes at Ganduyan Inatep Café is their Chicken Inatep. Another offering is the Etag Pork with Tomatoes. Etag, a traditional cured meat, is known for its robust flavor. However, some diners have found this dish to be on the fattier side and saltier than preferred. If you have a palate sensitive to strong flavors, you might want to consider this before ordering. Their dishes are also on the pricier side compared to that of other restaus. The café's ambiance reflects the rich cultural tapestry of Sagada, with décor and artifacts that tell stories of the region's past. Lester's passion for preserving and sharing Sagada's heritage is evident, making a visit to Ganduyan Inatep Café not just a meal, but a journey into the heart of the community.

Ganduyan inatep cafe served homemade sausage and etag omellete and pork tapa, clean and very cozy restaurant, not crowded. Authentic food and best brewed coffee. You feel the good vibes while you eating in this place.
Helen M — Google review
I ate breakfast, lunch & dinner at Ganduyan Inatep Cafe. It is one of my most favourite places to eat in Sagada. It was so good, that we ordered take out to eat on the way back to Manila. For breakfast, we had the Inatep Breakfast. Their longganisa was perfect. The smokiness of the etag in the etag omelette were complimentary to the dish and did not overwhelm. There was no lasting smokey aftertaste. For Lunch, we had the sinanglaw and the Pork Inatep. The pork inatep was amazing, the sauce was filled with flavour yet wasn't too overpowering. The quality of the pork tasted very fresh and had a really premium texture to it. With the sinanglaw, it would be an understatement to say it was good. We would definitely call it one of the best in the Philippines. Our family spent 3D3N in Sagada, and we had 2 lunches here in Ganduyan Inatep Cafe, both with the sinanglaw. It was worth returning to. It felt premium, the quality of meat was spectacular and the blend of the soup was nurtured and carefully made. Service was amazing, I believe it was a family-owned business. Cozy ambience in the restaurant, coupled with their brewed coffee (which is arguably better than some of the nearby cafe's brewed coffee), makes a perfect chill spot. There is also an old traditional Sagada house, a perfect quick attraction to visit while waiting for your food.

Happy House Restaurant offers authentic Filipino cuisine, including their famous signature dish, Pinipikan. One unique aspect of the restaurant is that customers can request specific dishes even if they are not on the menu, but it is advisable to give advance notice to ensure ingredient availability. Among the fancy restaurants in Sagada, Happy House stands out for its flavorful and affordable offerings. The staff are also known for their friendliness. Customers particularly enjoy their delicious sinigang and chicken fillet dishes.
Happy House is my go-to restaurant in Sagada. Everything here feels so easy, breezy, and just like home. The food is simple, familiar, and affordable, exactly the kind of comfort food you want while traveling. My favorites so far are their chopsuey and chicken mami, always hearty and satisfying. 🤩I haven’t tried their pinikpikan yet, but maybe someday! The staff are kind and very accommodating, which adds to the welcoming vibe. I especially love that they open very early in the morning, making it my favorite spot for breakfast. On top of that, the interior is just perfection 😍 cozy and inviting, perfect for starting or ending a day in Sagada. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to. 🤎

Happy house served affordable meals with reasonable prices and their location is very near our accommodation. Got to try their chicken mami for dinner and their ginger mountain tea. They are very accommodating however I feel like their are short staffed as their cashier also serves some of the meals and bus the tables. They also serves homemade ice cream though I didn't get to try it, my friends said that they like it. Another highly recommended place in Sagada.

The prices are above average, the taste is average, and the service time is quite long. We had no choice, as it was the only open restaurant in the area when we arrived at 8:15 PM.

This is one of my go to resto for comfort food - Filipino dishes. Just wish they add more dishes for fish like sinigang and paksiw (cravings haha). Liked the wooden interior, it helps to tone down the cold weather. They also accept Gcash.

Of all the fancy schmancy restos in Sagada, the Happy House Restaurant unexpectedly capsized me with the rich flavors of their pinikpikan. (and because they're the most worth it. The only resto I didn't dished out 500 pesos for a meal.) Staff are also friendly.

Restaurant
The Shire of Sagada is a charming lodging with rooms that offer picturesque garden and mountain views, featuring iconic round doors and named after beloved characters from literature and film. It's a popular choice for couples seeking a secluded and intimate retreat. The establishment provides an experience reminiscent of Hobbiton in New Zealand, perfect for fans of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. While internet reception may be slow, the peaceful ambiance and scenic balcony views make up for it.
Tucked away in the cool mountain air of Sagada, The Shire is the kind of place that feels like it was lifted straight out of a storybook—and quite fittingly, it gives off serious Bilbo Baggins’ cottage-in-the-shire vibes, but with the comfort and cleanliness of a boutique mountain lodge. Getting there does require a little effort—after parking, there’s a short 5-minute walk to the property. The cemented path is manageable for most, but do keep in mind that it’s narrow with a few uphill stretches, which might be a challenge for seniors or those with mobility concerns. That said, once you reach the place, you’ll know it’s worth the extra steps. Service here is nothing short of exceptional. The owners themselves man the reception, and it shows in the warmth and genuine hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. They were more than happy to accommodate special requests like pre-ordering breakfast—small gestures that really go a long way when you’re far from home. And speaking of breakfast—what a treat. It’s included with the room, and we were honestly impressed. The pancakes were soft, buttery, and paired with homemade fruit jam—a comforting start to chilly Sagada mornings. Their rice meals were equally satisfying; the tocino in particular had that “home-cooked by mom” flavor that just hits the spot. Rooms are thoughtfully designed and immaculately kept. From the fluffy pillows and fresh linens to the spotless shower area, everything feels brand new. There’s also a shared common area on the upper floors—a perfect spot for groups or families to relax, play board games, or simply enjoy the mountain breeze. Just a heads-up: there’s a 9 PM quiet time curfew, so it’s best to wind down early and enjoy the peaceful stillness Sagada is known for. All in all, The Shire of Sagada blends fairytale charm with heartfelt service and modern comfort. It’s the kind of stay that lingers in your memory long after the trip ends—and one I’d happily return to on our next mountain escape.

Tucked away in the highlands, The Shire of Sagada became more than just a place to stay—it was part of our story. We stayed in their Executive Suite, which truly felt like heaven for our family. The room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with amenities that rivaled a 5-star hotel. Every detail was taken care of, from the espresso machine to the first aid kit and generous drinking water refills. The large windows framed the trees like paintings, giving us a view so serene it felt almost magical. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. They allowed us early check-in and late check-out, answered all our questions with a smile, and made us feel right at home. The breakfast—included in the room rate—was a delicious bonus that made our mornings extra special. After long hikes, cold mountain air, and days filled with wonder, returning to The Shire felt like retreating into a cozy cocoon. Pure bliss. A place we’ll never forget and one we’ll definitely return to. Highly, highly recommended!

If you love Lord of the Rings, you will definitely love this place. I love the way the hotel was decorated and some of the extra like a weighing scale is each room. Love the atmosphere and the people who works there. I would definitely recommend this place. It is really hidden. Everything is great but if I can recommend to the owner that it would look more like the hobbit if there is some words or phrases from the movie.
Rene G — Google review
Was here August 2023. Charming Hobbit-inspired place. Bed is super comfy, the bathroom is well-stocked, the shower has adequate water pressure, Wi-Fi is ok, and there's Netflix on the TV should you need something to watch. Sadly those are the only things it has going for it. The complimentary breakfast was SOOO disappointing and the tocino (or whatever cured meat it was) even tasted expired that I had to suffer every bite of it. I had originally asked for their other breakfast item, which they said was available, but after a few minutes I was told it wasn't anymore, so I had to settle for that horrendous tocino. I mean for the rate they were charging, you would expect they'd at least get something as basic as breakfast right. Also, when we asked the receptionist regarding PWD discount, she said she'll have to ask her boss about it. They eventually gave the discount, but the whole confirming with the boss first just smacks of lack of training. We left The Shire soon afterwards and transferred to a different, albeit less deluxe and less expensive hotel, and what do you know, the breakfast they serve there WAS fantastic, you can really taste the difference. So yeah. Which is why I can confirm that the breakfast at The Shire is totally lame. Also, for some reason, the ambiance in The Shire was off. Like there was this air of cold formality when you go out of the lobby such that no noise, no merrymaking, no laughter is allowed. We weren't exactly prohibited, but something about the place demanded such uptight stillness.
Neoli M — Google review
The place is very clean and quiet. If you want to disappear for a bit, you can stay here. The food and drinks are ok. There is a small walk from the parking area to the location of this hotel and cafe.

We only visited the place to dine for breakfast. I am pleased with the food plating and its dining area is nice. I enjoyed my pancake 😋 If you don't stay here and want to check the place, I suggest you walk, good for exercise. We had the free breakfast that is included in the package. Spam & fried rice, egg omelet & fried rice, tocino & fried rice. All were of good quality and taste. The room is very clean. White towels, bed and beddings are clean. Bathroom and comfort rooms are clean. Staff are courteous.

Our stay at The Shire of Sagada from January 18 to 20 was nothing short of magical. The place is absolutely superb—truly a haven for those who seek a serene escape. The Hobbit and LOTR-inspired design is stunningly picture-worthy, making it a unique and enchanting destination on its own. The ambiance is peaceful and refreshing, perfect for unwinding and soaking in the beauty of Sagada. The food was top-notch, perfectly complementing the cold weather, and the beds were incredibly comfortable—I slept like a baby! Ms. Michelle and her staff were beyond hospitable, ensuring that every moment of our stay was special. Honestly, I didn’t want to leave. Despite the chilly weather, we were more than content just staying in the hotel, basking in its warmth and tranquility. The Shire of Sagada made our trip unforgettable, and I will definitely be coming back. This place is worth every penny and more!

Pinikpikan Haus is a must-visit for those wanting to try the controversial Pinikpikan dish, as it exclusively serves this specialty along with brown rice and beer. Additionally, traditional Filipino dishes are also available at the restaurant. It's recommended to place an order in advance if you plan on taking home some of their famous lemon pie.
Thank you, Nay for the free tea and extra rice. We will surely come back.
Andrea S — Google review
Place was easy to find. Pinikpikan was a bit salty probably because they added Egad which is smoked pork. Bacon and egad came with vegetables and lemon that balanced and cut through the fat.
Karlee C — Google review
The place was empty when we got there, so at first, we were quite sketchy if the food would be good, but when it was served—it really filled us up. Price is reasonable and relatively affordable. My favorite is that every dish has vegetables! Yes to healthy living! We recommend the pinikpikan (of course) and the bacon!

Staffs are fine. Maybe I just have a high expectation of Pinikpikan here, as it is known as a local cuisine. But it's too salty for us when we bought one here. Good price, affordable and the place is fine. Just a little difficult for elderly because of the stones stairs, as the store is lower in the basement.

Pinikpikan and Etag ni Nanay were sooooo good!!! Nothing beats a homely soup with smoked, cured meat in rainy, cold, and humid weather.
Harvey — Google review
Pinikpikan is a local delicacy where a live chicken is bruised to give its meat more flavour. It's a chicken soup dish served with local vegetables and sometimes a portion of etag which is smoked salty pork. This restaurant specializes in this dish. This place actually looks like a house that's been renovated to be a restaurant. It's a simple place with a little native decor. Prices are cheap and the portions are just right. The food is ok but nothing I'd go back for.

Authentic food. Try the "Etag", i could only describe it as 1 inch cut pork belly, crispy, grilled with a burnt after taste. But in a very very good way. They also sell it too, like in Vigan. Definitely an experience.

Sagada Public Market, located beside the tourism office, offers a variety of fresh produce and local handicrafts for personal use or as souvenirs. While the market isn't large and the selection may be limited, it provides most essentials. Visitors may not be able to negotiate prices but supporting local vendors is encouraged. Despite its size, the market boasts great produce and products while locals take pride in their hometown goods such as turmeric, mountain tea, and rice coffee.
A great option for affordable eats. I tried Kusina ni Mal-ig located on the basement level. The serving size of the pork giniling + rice combo (around 160 Php) was ok for the price. It's just that they used a different variety of pork that i'm not used to. Their salad (around 140?) is so good and the veggies were super fresh! I did not expect that it would be served with Japanese sesame dressing. What a pleasant surprise 😊

Nothing much to see but if you are a budgetarian this the place to be when it comes to food. Inside the building, you'll find few eateries/small resto's inside. Prices of viand ranges from 160 pesos above while a cup of rice is 30 pesos each. In my opinion, the viand is already good for two people. Personally, I tried kainan ni Mal-ig they have a generous serving of mixed pansit that is already good for 3 people for 210 pesos.

The market isn't that big, and even if many considered the place limited, Sagada's public market have great produce and products, and the people are very friendly and honest especially to tourists. Must visit when you go to Sagada, if only to experience and get to see how clean their public market is. It isn't big, and the selection, sparse, but you'll find most things you need. You probably won't be able to haggle and get a discount because they know right away that you're a tourist, but come on, if you can spend all that cash in a mall, why not in a market too, to support the locals.

Maggie's Lemon Pie is a hidden gem in Sagada, known for its light and crumbly pie with a gently sweet center. While not a restaurant, it's definitely worth seeking out for the whole pie at an affordable price. Visitors have raved about stumbling upon this delightful treat and even preferred it over other lemon pies in town.
We couldn’t stop eating when we first tasted this perfectly baked lemon pie. We had to buy two more before leaving Sagada! PS Don’t be scared of the canine welcome committee. They do get friendly eventually ;)

Very unique taste. Slightly sour, tasty crust, and the top is just like Brazo de Mercedes. The store is inconspicuous and you might miss it if you don't ask for directions. The store is very humble and looks very rural in a good way. I'm not sure if they sell per slice, but only whole pies were available when I went.

Maggie’s Lemon Pie. I’ve never had lemon pie before. It’s light, with a crumbly base and gently sweet center. Maggie’s shack is off the beaten path. A local had to help us find it. We were lucky that although we didn’t preorder, there was one pie available for us as walk-ins. +639099577600 to preorder. If you’re going to have lemon pie while in sagada, this must be it. The other reviews are true. It’s better than the more popular lemon pie in town. This place is a few steps away from the church. The seller is a nice lady and the pie is even nicer. The meringue’s sweetness and softness balance the lemon and crust underneath. They only sell by the pie (280 PHP). I hope they sell slices as well.

The menu boasts delightful options like veggie fried rice that has garnered rave reviews for its flavor and generous portions.
We stumbled across this when most other places were closed and it was a little gem of a find. I ordered the veggie fried rice and my partner ordered the veggie ramen. The fried rice was one of the best I have had so far and the ramen was chock full of veg and super tasty stock base. We stumbled on this place and it turns out that it was one of our best meal! Super tasty soups! We had the ramen and a fish soup with tomato and ginger. We were the only one there and made sure to tell the cook, and probably the owner, that we really enjoyed his food. Dont let the stairway leading down make you turn away!!

We found this place by coinsidence and were surprised how good(!) the veggie ramen was and the kimchi as well! It's too bad that this place is a little hidden and not as visible as the other restaurants on the main street. Definetely highly recommended.
