Raw chicken inside all meat meals. Plain fries instead of cheese fries. An order for over £20 went to the bin. I remember that a few years ago the food was amazing despite the small portions. This should be audited and closed by the FSA

I am very disappointed with the food and service we received during our visit today. My wife and I ordered two Doner rice bowls, but unfortunately, the food was not up to standard. The rice and meat were both cold — the rice was hard, and the meat was dry and difficult to eat. The salad was also not fresh, which was very concerning. What added to the disappointment was the service. The staff at the counter did not seem attentive, and overall hygiene and presentation were below expectations. This was surprising and disheartening because I remember when this place used to be clean, welcoming, and served delicious, fresh food. Sadly, it seems the quality has declined over time instead of improving. I have been a loyal customer for years, always hoping the standards would return to what they once were, but after today’s experience, I don’t think I will be coming back. With so many other halal food options available, it’s hard to justify paying high prices for food and service of such low quality. I truly wish I could give half a star for this experience, as even one star feels generous.

Before writing this review I had spoken to the manager on a phone call the day of incident… I placed an order online last week, when my food arrived the bread was burnt and the food just had an ash taste given how burnt the bread was, the fries was spicy fries not the cheesy fries I had ordered, I spoke to the manager the same day after receiving my order and throwing the majority in the bin because it was inedible. He advised that I could get a replacement meal if I ordered again next time online and to call prior to doing so. I called yesterday a number of times and I have called today a number of times and no one is now answering the phone at all! He fobbed me off with lies, even stated the bread batch he got was faulty and had been replaced but yet surely the person serving could see the bread was burnt and still sent it off to me for delivery and what I’m most furious about is the fact the manager did not keep to his word, I was questioning this “call before you order next time and we will send a replacement out” bs on the phone the day of the order and I was right too because nobody is ever going to answer the phone now. That’s why he was so confident in offering that to me on the phone. I’m fuming at the lack of care and lack of service and to top it all off the straight up blatant LIE about sorting it out! Iv never been this angry at a food establishment ever! More so about being played off with a bs excuse and lie about “call next time” I knew I should haven’t accepted that bs but I gave them the benefit and I should never have! Avoid this place at all cost if manager can’t be a decent human being you have to wonder what else goes on behind the scenes.

We were served by Milon today - we received excellent service from a very chirpy and friendly approachable gentleman. He took our order and even suggested some various options that could be nice, To which we obliged and immensely delighted with our order - star guy! Amazing establishment with great options - Will certainly be visiting again.

Food is always delicious and top notch. Doner meat is fresh and juicy. Always come here with family. Staff is very welcoming and friendly they guide very well according to cravings.

Very disappointed with the food quality and taste. Ordered the doner rice, and spicy sauce in a box. The food was very bland and there was no sauce on the salad or rice ,it was quite dry. The Doner and sauce quantity was not enough to mix with rice and salad, to bring out any taste. I ended up reaching out to the person on till, where they kindly offered and gave 2 pots of spicy sauces. unfortunately, the food was still bland and I bought some spicy fries from taco bell to push the food in. Overall not a great experience and would AVOID this place in future.

Really tasty food and friendly staff but very overpriced. You have to really be tactical about buying your food otherwise you'll be paying a load extra unknowingly. Recommend but only if you want a coffee, panini or know ahead of time what to buy.

Very rude lady at the counter called “Marta”. She overcharged me £4 and instead of refunding, they rudely told me to go and sit down in front of customers. They have a real issue with serving customers here and there is no excuse for being rude especially if you have overcharged someone. Totally ruined me and wife’s lunch. Also the “Marta” couldn’t count £5 worth of change and had to get help to realise it was £5 to give me my note back.

Very ordinary and average food at premium price , Rude staff , Well over priced and Plz check you Bill. I have been charged for items which I didn't even ordered . Menu shows items as meal but charged saperately. Better walk away.

Whilst this has a prominent location and looking promising, our experience today was very mediocre. The Chicken Escalope Pannini was disapointing, there was no seasoning, the escalope was not crispy as expected, and whilst this was meant to have bacon, none could be tasted - overall overpriced for what it was at almost £10 with no sides. The coffee was also a disapointment, the taste was a little bitter, and the flat whites were oversized so the ratio of coffee to milk was not right. The service was pleasant, and staff are quick, but what we had today overall did not impress, so we would unlikely return, sorry.

This place is hardly busy! That’s the best thing, away from the busy food court and shoppers, it’s located in middle of shopping centre with lots of seating. Quality of food great and if you fancy something different from the usual shopping centre food shops, give them a try… Also they do a breakfast deal with a hot drink for £7.95

The waiting time to place an order was like 20 minutes, thought there wasn't busy. All kind off milks were mixed in the same mug. The same gloves to put butter on clients bread and to touch rubbish... Waiting time for order was like 30 minutes.. ohh if you are hungry i advise you do not come here. Myself and partner ate here the other day we went in to McDonald's and order on the self service as a takeaway. Food was placed and ordered then we got the food. I asked for sauces that you get when you go throw the drive thru. A lady said i had to pay £0.15p each for a condiment. So i didn't get any sauce. So i sat in McDonald's in lakeside and witnessed a staff member pouring in cold oil into a hot fryer in mid service. When i witnessed that i was so shocked and surprised and left the place. I took photos of how dead it was and the lack of taking care of service and the order screen was packed but not cleared of orders. Also as the staff member tried to charge me £0.15p for a sauce condiment i left restaurant and got in car and did a order thru the drive thru and i didnt get charged for the sauce condiments. It cant be 1 rule and another rule if you use the drive-thru way.

Absolute joke! Second time I ordered a regular meal and they have come with NO sauce on the burger. How is it so hard to put some sauce in a burger. The restaurant has been filthy the last two occasions that I have visited, the staff don’t care unless it’s a delivery order. The completely dry burger is a joke… TWICE!

Fries are absolutely blank & tasteless (McDonald's Flavour is Dead) no Salt just fries as you make them at home. Prices are High and Quality & Size are Rubbish. Nice staff and never had any problems with food but please sort your toilets out! Especially the mens last time the floor was flooded in pee, they knew that coz they propped the door ajar to vent the smell. This time again, no toilet paper in sight, urinals got pee sitting in them, no soap in the sinks & they just absolutely stink

Went here after a night shift only to be told we can't place an order as their system is updating and it would be 20 minutes. We were hungry and had some paperwork to finish off and decided to wait. 30 minutes later we went back, only to be told from a snappy employee that "we can't place an order as their system is updating" and yes it would take 20 minutes. Total joke. The bloke speaking to us through the speaker clearly couldn't be bothered being there and it showed in his attitude. I'd avoid this place if you work nights, they don't deserve any of our money

In retaliation to all the one star reviews… This McDonald’s has gone rouge and is fighting back by - getting the orders wrong - giving you cold food - not able to serve you due to the system - tables covered in Rubbish so you have to tidy them yourself, to use them. Other than these points alls fine… Not recommended.

The staff in Grays Wimpy have always been really lovely over the years and the food hasn't dropped in standard either. Cheeseburger and chips was beautiful. Can never beat a good old Wimpy!

This place is honestly the most best to grub and enjoy, I got the bacon and cheese burger and it was delicious, the tender, the juicyness was just way out of this world, this is highly recommended and definitely a good area to eat and enjoy

Very poor customer service at Grays Shopping Centre. I wanted to feed my 7 week old baby and one of the waitresses offered me seat then gave menu. I didn’t order anything as only wanted to feed and then think about ordering something if I feel like. Another waitress came to me and told me that this area is only for customers. I’ll never go there again.

(Visited 20.8.2021). We ordered Classic Fried Chicken Burger, tenders, fries and vanilla shake. The food is prepared to order, so there was a little wait (under 10 minutes). The guy serving was polite and checked every order was correct before handing it over. Nice touch. Food very tasty and filling. Definitely better than other fast food chicken outlets.

The burgers consist of tenders, not an issue as the tenders are chunky and a decent size. An extra pound on your meal to upgrade to a shake. Was looking forward to my banoffee but it was (looked and tasted like) a vanilla shake. Not sure if they ran out of ingredients but I didnt bother to go back. Also for the price paid, they should include dips (extra 40p with meals). Also no trays provided, they just bung it all in a paper bag even if you eat in. Overall decent, but I expect a little more for the price paid.

Chiktopia is a good place to sit in, fresh decor, bench style tables.I enjoyed the vanilla milkshake compared to other places. The skinny fries tasted full of flavour and not bland. The chicken burger was actually delicious as well! There are also self-service machines where you can order your food items for dine-in and or takeaway. Scan the table placard and put it on your table. Service was pretty quick, polite staff. Good job for your first opening at Lakeside!

First time having Chiktopia and can definitely say will be the last, ordered a deluxe chicken burger meal and as you can see in the pics, its made out of 2 measly chicken tenders and the burger was cold, I took it back and was given another cold burger, my wife ordered a wrap and it was same with hers.

I love this place! The burgers are amazing and you have an option of rice instead of chips. All the meals are a good price as well.

I’ve visited this particular KFC branch a few times and I must say that the staff are very efficient and polite. The food was served quickly and arrived warm. The toilets are well kept and are always clean. Overall the experience is good and I would recommend this branch.

Shocking service, server didn’t bother to put the drinks in a cup holder expecting me to struggle with a bag of food and drinks. Mixed up order firstly then continued to talk to his coworkers in their own language while I waited for the correct order.

Parking was awful as there was a long queue for the drive through obstructing access to the car park. Took a good 20mins to get our food after ordering. Young children of around 8-12 years on the next table swearing and cursing loudly and making a mess. Staff did nothing to calm them. Food was ok. Fries were better than our regular local outlet. Glad to leave to be honest.

Ordered through the app, all bags were sealed but multiple items missing. Called the branch who blamed the driver even though I told them none of the bags had been tampered with. The fact I had to explain/simplify the word tampered sums up the quality of the staff working there. Although it appears they're well rehearsed in scamming orders to increase their profits. Definitely avoid this branch at all cost

Cheeseburgers were very dry. The Big Mac was the exact opposite and fell apart when you were eating it. The French fries were soggy. The car park is manic, with cars entering at stupid speeds and when I was there teenagers were using it like a cycle park, especially the one on an electric one! The service on the Drive Thru was excellent, and the staff were very friendly.

I’d give it more stars if they EVER got an order right For people that work daily in the same place you’d think they’d be competent enough to read an order correctly and give you the right items ordered or not miss anything off the order!

Rang tonight and was put on hold for 16 mins without them saying nothing, I could hear all the conversations in the back ground very unprofessional and then she hung the phone up. I rang back and said I was on hold for 16 mins she said yeh yeh spoke in Chinese and hung up on me. I wasn't rude and she was rude and unprofessional. I would never use these again

Walked in ordered pork balls, chips, and curry sauce. Rude woman barked £10:50 at me! Asked if they took card payment only to be shouted at "NO, CASH ONLY." Then, I had to wait 20 minutes for it. Chips were dire, cold, and hard . Obviously frozen and had been sitting around for ages, not the big chunky in-house, prepared chips you'd expect from a Chinese. Pork balls were cold and soggy and tasteless. Curry sauce was bland. Never going there again 🙄

Happy garden? There’s nothing happy about this place. The customer service is shocking, the lady is so rude not just to us but everyone in the shop I don’t know why customers put up with it and give them any custom. Had ordered chruchwrap with chicken chicken. Did receive with few salad inside chicken few micro peases every single time gets smaller and you can find other things what is normal should be inside recipe. Will not recommend total rip off. Food came late, staff not friendly at all but 30 min after having a chicken quesadillas I had a terrible stomach pain. 2 hours later I had to trow out. I love their food but sadly this one branch needs better managemnt.

Im writing g this review as yesterday (28 march) ordered food from them.from just eat and was waiting 2hrs for the food! Called the restaurant and they wouldn't pick up luckily just eat gave me refund d on the order. Today went through the drive through as thought would be easier and nothing g could go wrong but noooo. Got home with the food a.d had items missing even How bloody hard is it to read amd order and check everything is there before they seal.the bag to give to you. If they spent the same amount of time on drive through orders as they do on deliveries they wouldn't have these issue but saying that after yesterday they can't even bloody deliver an order and I only ordered a big mac meal amd 9 nugget meal. I seriously wouldn't recommend this place to anyone as they can't seem to get it right they're a joke

Two items missing from my delivery. Phoned the store 3 times, no one answered. Drove down to the store, staff were absolutely useless and refused to give me the food that was missing and said it's Ubers problem to who gave me a pathetic £2 refund which didn't even cover a quarter of what my missing food cost.

Don't order online, our delivery has ended on hung on a fence somewhere, McDonald's don't take any responsibility and their delivery company is a waste of time, the restaurant phone number is listed but they don't answer either! I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding a recent order I received from your tilbury store on delivery service on 12/03/2025. The food arrived cold and was not fit for consumption. When I called to address the issue, I spoke with a staff member named Olaf, who was not only rude but also refused to provide a refund and then hung up on me. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers have the legal right to receive goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. In this case, receiving cold food fails to meet this standard. Furthermore, under Section 20 of the Consumer Rights Act, I am entitled to a full refund when the product is not as promised. The refusal to provide a refund directly violates my legal rights. Additionally, the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 prohibits unfair commercial practices, including poor customer service and failing to address legitimate complaints. The way my complaint was handled—being dismissed, refused a refund, and having the phone call abruptly ended—falls under unfair business practices and unacceptable customer service. I expect an immediate response regarding this issue, including: 1. A full refund for the unsatisfactory order. 2. An internal review of staff training on customer service and consumer rights. 3. A formal apology for the unacceptable treatment I received. If I do not receive an appropriate resolution, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further to Trading Standards and consider reporting it to the Consumer Ombudsman. I hope to resolve this matter amicably and look forward to your prompt response.

double checked on mcdonald’s app, google and apple maps, everywhere said this was open until 12am just to drive 15 minutes away and it shut early with no signage out front and food still available to order on mcdonald’s app.

Only 2 orders per car allowed even with no one behind me, policy it's nowhere to be seen or found online, had to go around twice to get 3 orders, waste of fuel, waste of time, horrible service.

This place has gone down hill and wouldn’t recommend to anyone eating here. We waited 20 minutes for drinks and food. The Pepsi was flat, the kids chicken nugget meal you only get 3 nuggets and a small portion of chips. Wasn’t aloud to order the big brekki and could only order the all day breakfast. The food was awful and refused to pay for it and sent it back. Will never eat here again. And is well over priced for food that isn’t even enjoyable! The rating for this place should be 0

I had a great time at Wimpy. All the staff were lovely, very attentive asking us if the food was good. They was happy to remake my hot chocolate, no fuss. Very polite girl Jess at the till. Overall had a lovely time, definitely will be coming back

Food was delicious as always however, on arrival no-one informed us that we needed to go to the till to order today. So we sat there for a while waiting to be served. I ordered a thick strawberry milk shake but received a vanilla milkshake instead that was very thin; it was still tasty though. Service and atmosphere are better at the Wimpy in Loughton.

Let me start by saying the food was actually pretty decent (although ridiculously expensive for what it was), the restaurant itself is old and tatty, the seats were all ripped and it really smelt like used cat litter, wasn’t a particularly pleasant experience. Toilets were also out of action which was rather inconvenient.

Popped into Wimpy today and Dasola was amazing. Super friendly and made the whole visit feel easy and warm. The food was decent.

It's been a while since I've been to Wimpy, about 2 years. First time at this particular location though. It's amazing how the burgers still have that classic taste from my childhood from about 20 years ago. For this location I had a cheeseburger and with chips (chips cost extra). Clean restaurant, the condiments are all on the table and they ask if you need any others, I think my friend asked for BBQ sauce or something else and the polite and helpful staff had that. Food consistency and quantity is nice for the price and I had a strawberry milkshake which is by far one of my most favourites out of most other different restaurants. Quick service. Decent space with enough seats for the location. The only downside as to why this place hasn't got full stars is that Table no. 3 was badly wobbly, couldn't put any pressure on it while trying to cut food or lean on it.

Ordered a jacket potato with beans cheese and coleslaw. They didn't have any coleslaw so changed it to bacon. This sad looking potato arrived it was ice cold. Sent it back, heard it getting microwaved out back. Returned to me...tasted disgusting. Refused to pay for it.

Unhelpful/unprofessional staff- I wanted to use my coupon which i had on the subway app. I saw that this particular subway was participating to redeem this coupon but at the till the staff mentioned that this was online only possible at this particular location. I was asked to order online for which I had to pay the extra tax. Under any circumstances there was no mention of such a rule of this kind. Other issue, Improperly made the sub, everything fell out of the sub just after a bite.

The employees are really impolite. He started serving me a non-vegetarian sandwich before I asked him to change, so I told him to do so. He then made another non-vegetarian sandwich and came to my flat, failing to change his gloves again. I requested him to change, and he just stared angrily at me while arguing. I'm not sure why he behaved in this manner; their closing hour is 8:00 p.m., but even so, I felt really offended.

Grabbed a footlong tuna melt with nachos and a drink. Food was fine and prepared well. Obviously not fresh, but a decent go-to fast food place in the retail park. Service was prompt and friendly.

I have ordered from here a fair few times and I've had no issues in the past. Tonight I ordered 2 chicken and mushroom pies for myself and a kebab for the other half. Anyway, I unwrapped the pies which were smothered in salt, that weren't so much the issue as they are individually wrapped. Fast forward, I cracked the top off 1 pie, a tad hard to crack but ok, anyway, I ate it, tasted a little weird but I ate it. Unwrapped the 2nd pie, cracked the top, and I got this almighty sour smell.. I move the filling over to then was like jelly snot and the base was rock solid my fork couldn't crack it, it was brown and looked like hard caramel. I realised the other pie I had eaten was the exact same. My fiancée checked the packets for dates and neither had dates on them. I physically feel sick and disgusted and with it being chicken I'm expecting to get food poisoning. I gave a 3 star for the pure fact my fiancée liked his kebab.

Used this place for a few years and it's always been good,until last night. The combination Lamb donner and Chicken shish was disgusting and I had several bits of bone in the donner meat. Chicken was over cooked and very dry and didn't taste right. Also had a 1/4 pounder with Cheese which you could have snapped in half as the bun was so burnt and dry. Not sure what's happened but very disappointed with the food.

The absolute best chicken shish kebabs! Would not order from anywhere else, lovely staff and delivery drivers. Always really quick and food is always on point. 10/10 ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨

Ordered a chef special kebab as I have done for the past 3 years. Opened the bag looking forward to my meal. As we do took a bit from box to eat as I put on the plates. Was struck with the strange taste and smell started to heave and ended up being sick, (bad lamb shish). Phoned and they offered to bring another, told them not shish it’s bad, just both doners pls. now past the thought of eating anything. My kebab arrived all £16.50 please see the photo a complete joke. Phoned back to be shouted at and told I was wasting their food, do me a favour you sold me the bad meat to start with. Poor delivery driver had to make 3 visits the last to bring back my money but if he looks on the bright side he will never ever have to come here again. Whatever happened to customer service it was your bad service and you shout at me. I have to say always liked your kebabs but never again

I’ve never imagined returning a Burger King order but the chips were raw, the milk shake had no taste and the cheese burger limp and disappointing. How can they get it so wrong? The only good thing was that I got a full refund.

Absolute scam!! STAY AWAY. The reviews are so genuine that the food here at Burger King is a scam!! Everything is overpriced and the advert photo on the kiosk machine is just a scam. They advertise a photo of a burger apparently large (No size mentioned) for £6 but will give you the same McDonald's £2.65 worth cheeseburger. Absolute scam!! STAY AWAY.

I am a regular chip eater and can say with certainty that these are really decent chips! The large portion is a very generous size and they're really tasty. They're not super dark in colour (which I know some people prefer) but they have a delicious potato flavour.

We have had a few orders from The Brother Fish Bar (Roast Chicken, Chips, Picked Onions, Vinegar). Really impressed with the ease of ordering from their website, the delivery and the quality of the food. All excellent. Will continue to use these guys for out takeaway Chip night.

I have to say it was probably one the best fish and chips I've had in ages, it was fresh and crispy. We ordered a medium fish and it was massive piece. Above all the service was top notch, especially the lady at the counter who was very friendly. Fairly good price aswell. 👌

Very friendly, polite and professional staff working here. The place was refreshed and looks nice, fresh and clean. The only distribution is beeping sound from checkouts but it's a shop caffe. They offer wide selection of English Breakfast which is freshly prepared on order and tea/coffe - even flavored ones. You can also use parking refund ticket here if you pay over £5.

Waited 15 mins at the till to order, no staff around, I enquired with the checkout staff who said that there is only one staff member and she is over at the coffee section of the store. Very poor service! I didn’t wish to wait any longer, no doubt she is also the chef. Poor woman, sort your staffing issues out Morrison’s!

Compared to other local cafés, the food is better, even if the portions might be smaller. They do a 'create your own breakfast' which means if you are on a low carb diet you don't pay for items you can't eat. They also do good deals for kids/families.

Clean and tidy.. only one staff member cleaning, serving meals and taking money...so....she did a fab job. Food wasn't very hot.. think they plated the chips first and waited for the rest to finish cooking.. prices very good x

Food was absolutely lovely! We ordered four kebabs (one chicken, one dinner kebab, one chicken and halloumi and one chicken and lamb combo) along with a pizza, chips and halloumi sticks. None of it was greasy, freshly cooked and piping hot when I collected it! The kebabs are deconstructed (salad and pitta come separate) which I personally prefer! Food was lovely as well as hot, would definitely recommend and personally think it's worth well the money.

Avoid! Ordered 2 kebabs with salad chilli sauce. Salad came separately and zero chilli sauce and pitta separately too had to put own kebab together and cold meat 32 quid wasted!

Just had a delivery via deliveroo and it was great. Food was fresh, the lamb and chicken shish both really tasty. Large portion of cheesey chips with plenty of cheese. Plenty of dips which were separate and was salad nice and fresh. Great portion sizes and delivery was pretty quick. Can't fault it really, will order again. The only minor was on the deliveroo page you don't know if you are getting lamb or chicken shish when ordering a combination, if that could be clearer then perfect!

Ordered 2 meals and they couldn't even get that right! Chips didn't have cheese on them and didn't get our chilli sauce as ordered. Called them and waited for our chips and sauce as we were told they would deliver them. 25mins later, still didn't turn up. Called them back and spoke to the owner Ali. His response was that it's very busy and they won't be delivering! So, had a cold meal and didn't even get our chips or sauce! Disgusting service. Will not be ordering there again! Many people have said how when they get their order wrong, they don't correct it! Not to mention we had paid for these items that we didn't receive. Quick to take their customer's money, not so quick to look after them.

Ordered via Uber Eats. No option to add sauce or salad on the shish and shish wrap. When the food arrived it was literally lamb shish in a wrap and some overcooked chicken shish stuck in a pitta. Nothing else provided at all. Really gone down hill. We always used to get chillu sauce and garlic sauce and they chucked in some bread. Really poor this time. Won't order again. Very expensive for what we got

Awful. I had asked for a burrito with rice 1/2 chicken and beef with lettuce cheese and sour cream. Was pricey just for it not to taste good. The beef was chunky and it was full of joins and the workers are horrible. The beef doesn’t even look like real meat either. Not returning. Rice tasted off and expired. I’d expect a refund because this is disgusting

Had a wonderful visit at Tortilla in lakeside. Went and was not sure about what I wanted, when we went up to the counter we saw our server Costantino, who showed us all the different options with the sizes, extras and everything else we needed to know. Now you really don’t get great service like that anymore and I wanted to take the time to say, thank you Costantino, you not only made us purchase our food because of your time and dedication to your company, you also made our visit very special.

Absolutely loved my visit to Tortilla! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly—just the way I like it. The burritos were packed with delicious fillings, and the portion sizes were generous. I have eaten at Mexican Grill Tortilla many times, and every single time, they have exceeded my expectations! We were served by a very rude & blunt member of the team called ‘Costa’. Came Saturday lunchtime and were given stingy portions of the food that we always normally enjoy. He very aggressively said ‘this costs extra’ when requesting toppings , then proceeded to pick up the tiniest portion of them as if it was hurting him to serve us! Completely unacceptable and we won’t be visiting again! No smile or attitude to serve customers which you are getting paid to do is very concerning ..

Visited Subway in Grays. Located nicely in town center. Lots of seating space, customer toilet, nice decoration, well maintained. Blown away by smell of freshly made bread, good customer service, maybe not 5 star but definitely more than 4 star.

I’m very upset as I went here on Saturday 28th of September 2024 and ordered a six inch sub with chicken lettuce mayo cucumber bell peppers and sweetcorn and that same night threw up and the next day I had sickness and diarrhoea which is a shame as this is my only local subway I’m very disappointed as it was my weekend takeaway and costed £6.25 just for some stomach bug 0/10 wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Ordered on Uber eats where it doesn’t give me the option to change the salad in the sandwiches, so, like any normal person I called the restaurant and asked if it was ok if I just let them know as there is not an option to do it via the app. I was told ‘no can’t do that, call Uber support’. (I worked very recently in subway and am personally friends with one of the franchisees, this has never been an issue as we don’t charge for salad on sandwiches so clearly he just didn’t want the extra hassle to write down three things, but ok) after calling Uber support the lady assured me the restaurant now knows to put in onions, gherkins and peppers with sweet chili sauce in the sandwich. Surprise surprise when receiving the order they decided to be petty and I got every salad option they have and a spicy sauce. My crinkle wedges and meatball pot wasn’t even heated up, served me some raw potatoes. At least they got the drink and cookie right, well done

The quality of food and the quantity of it was excellent ! Really loved the food ! Got the deal of 14 quids including 13" pizza, 6 wings, 1 garlic bread, and a 1.5 liter cola. Absolutely recommended for delivery and takeaway ! (They don't have any space to eat in). Staff is also quite lovely and polite. 9/10 (would be 10 if there was space for eat in).

Ordered chicken with chips and it was ok...the presentation of the food isnt great and rhe chicken is buried under the mountain of chips which are a bit soggy by the time you get them home....I added coleslaw and onion rings. The coleslaw was awful, tastless and blended rather than chopped and look anaemic..the onion rings were over cooked...the chicken was a bit watery to taste but it was okay....nothing to shout about......

Been going here for years and have only had two issues when I comes to food. But today was something else. I paid for stuffed crust and they didn’t put it in. But service has never been good, lazy when it comes to allergies, never bringing change when we tell them we are paying cash. Today he tried to take £10 extra from me, then asked to come into the house so he could get to his car, then wanted me to come right up to his car to get the money. As a women who was alone at this point I was not getting close to the car and stood a reasonable distance away which seemed to annoy him more

Food served in is different from the food delivered. Recently ordered chicken nuggets for delivery, and they were at least twice fried, actually deep-fried, crunchy to the core! If you don't face the customer, should you serve him leftovers?

Was in there Friday (10.01.25) and saw one member of staff rushing about doing everything at once. trying to serve customers and delivery drivers all at the same time. I also only saw one person making burgers at the back. While this was happening I could see who I think was the manager at the very back sat down on his phone.

I particularly like the click and collect. Just stay in the car park and your order will be delivered to you right there.

I was in a hurry so chanced a visit to the town centre. The doorway was blocked by some wannabe gangster types who it seems had just been inside making everyone working there glad they hadn't phoned in sick. Once past them..the food was nice, the staff were surprisingly chipper all things considered and everything I ordered was available. It was clean but felt very dated.

Today, I walked in and then straight out! Why? Lots of kids sitting there on the tables! smoking/vaping looking threatening to other customers. They were not even eating there. I don't understand why they were allowed to be there. Not a nice atmosphere.

Generally good but driver today was rude and shouted at me due to the fact he couldn’t find the flat number buzzer. I kept calm and explained to him and when he found it, he was sarcastic saying “well that was complicated, you’re welcome”. Tbh I won’t order from here again as he only shouted as I was a young woman, if I was a man his size he would act professionally. Don’t bully customers because you’re lazy. The rest of the staff are generally friendly. So now at 22:19 the driver calls me back and instead of apologising, he asks me to give him money even though I paid through the foodhub app. I have blocked him as I will not be bullied by this guy. I have been buying from them for a while now and not noticed him, so in my opinion it’s best to fire him

After a hard day of work no better place! Great speaking with some of the staff, adds on to the great service they provide, the food absolutely amazing some days I do like my doner cooked more than others and they have no issue with that as long as I tell them, delivery is very quick too never had issues apart from the food still being hot when it comes. Overall great place. 👍

Horrible place .food is ok services is disgusting and what I expect from THEM . Absolute disgrace of a place I know everyone has there days but I will never order from here again and would also advise many not to support a business that thinks it can turn up make better money then it could elsewhere but treat its customers scrupulously its not how we conduct business . Children answering the business voice and being used to deal with things and I'm asking for a manger and they refuse to speak over the order they messed up . Terrible experience at this restaurant! I order a burger along with a large pizza the stuff was awful to taste it was unhygienic and dry! The staff there are such racist people they treat you with no respect and they got zero discipline! The burger they packed for me contain a patty with no sauce or salad! There services are so damn slow I literally have to wait 40 minutes to get my pizza only for it taste disgusting! When I ask for the damn sauce they didn't even acknowledge it and put it in their ugly shelf! They don't even have the curtesy to say thankyou or be kind! Won't recommend even to my enemy! If you want to waste your money go for it!

Ordered a vegan garden party and this has to be the worse one I've ever had. Haven't had papa John's in some time, but their pizza was never this bad at ń the past. When I called to complain The worker claimed the pizza was cooked at a certain degrees, but it certainly didn't taste like that. Wasn't willing to help or do anything either smh. This was literally bread and tomato

Waited 25 minutes after arriving and notifing staff who I was and that I was collecting. The pizza was on the shelf for 35 minutes after ordering. Pizza not even cooked and tasted awful

If you like your pizza completely drowned in BBQ sauce then Papa J's is the place for you! What the menu said would be a "light drizzle", should have been described as "A total deluge" because it was swimming in the stuff! Inedible.

The pizza had too much sauce that it tastes like eating only tomatoes. The pizza had barely any cheese even though I ordered double. Mr Seby said on the phone that he can not take the pizza back and that the premium cheese blend is always very little compared to regular and therefore also making the sauce appear more than usual. This pizza was all sauce and no cheese. This is not a papa john's pizza by any measure. Returning customer several months after a poor experience but no more. It's even worse than before

Twice we have ordered from here and both times ordered their special garlic dips at extra cost. Both times they have not arrived with our order, first time was told it was with the order (it wasn’t) and this time they admitted it wasn’t sent and that they’d get something be out with the dips. I told them I was happy to wait for them before I ate my pizza and they said they’d send them. Another 1/2 hour later no sign so I called again to check they were still coming which they confirmed they were on route and would be with me soon. Another 1/2 hour on and they still aren’t here, so not too have cold pizza and still no dips. At this point I’m more annoyed about being lied to by the guy in the phone, knowing I wasn’t eating my pizza because I was waiting for them. I only live 10 mins away from the store so there’s no excuse for not sending them out considering we’ve paid for them both times. Very poor show regarding customer service. Pizzas are amazing though. Dips eventually arrived after an hour of waiting.

Awful delivery, order was cold, missing parts, given wrong order. Tried to contact the store and was just met with a busy tone, delivery driver then came back to collect the wrong items but didn't have the right orders with him. Refused to take the pizzas back to store, tried to tell me the pizzas were cold because it had been 10 minutes since delivery even thoigh they were cold on arrival, then tried to say they were small and not round because they were handmade, one pizza was burnt and he still refused to take it back to the store until I took a picture of one, then snatched them and tried to throw them in my bin. Asked him to take them back to the store to call me as I couldn't get through, never returned a call to me. Awful service, awful quality control.

AVOID Absolutely disgusting service, got a chicken and lamb kebab This is what I paid £14.50 for and my husband got a kebab!! Complained about the lack of food, for them to hang up on me, If you want good quality food I seriously advice you to go elsewhere.

It is the worst ever kebab...It is not actually kebab what I received, it's a disgrace for the Turkish kitchen, I received meat and rice instead of Large shish kebab, I received a small special chicken shish kebab with one piece of meat instead of a medium one They didn't even bother to put the 3rd one, chicken donner kebab, and had to call in and wait for another 30 mins, to get the whole order. The chips were cold, I ordered 2 cheese and chips, which only had a bit of cheese on top, and were cold chips by the time they arrived, while the delivery was just less than 1.5 miles away You can see in photos.

Returned for another try and happy with done this time.

Very tasty, very nice delivery people, owner asked me twice when delivered food about my opinion with web page for ordering food. I am very satisfied. Only one thing, sometimes fries are not fresh, but like from previous day.

Picture this You ring up the store and place your order. Staff quote 15-20min wait time. You arrive at store and see your food isn't ready. That's fine, I can wait. After waiting for 10min. Clerk asks what your orders were. They then start prepping said order. Annoyed, but say nothing. After 5 minutes they hand you your food. Look inside. Few orders missing. Ask staff but they responds to you in dismissive tone. The absolute nerve. Fuming now. Don't want to throw a fit or come across rude. Don't want them to temper with my food out of spite. Later, they reluctantly admit their mistake. Hands over my missing items. Leave store. Breathe a sigh of relief. Now at home. Take a bite out of the chicken. Its cold and dry. Livid.

Walked into the takeaway and Riaz met us with a smile and the most welcoming presence. We ordered a 6 piece wing meal after he suggested what we might like as we mentioned we were after wings and he told us about the savings and what comes with a drink or without. He went above and beyond to give us good customer service even in this heat and more heat in their restaurant. He stayed pleasant throughout we wanted sauces after paying he mentioned they came with the meal already. I would commend everyone who fancies some fried chicken with good service to visit this branch in Grays. Ask for Riaz he will definitely make you feel welcome and happy to spend your money and would make you come back. Keep up the good service and Riaz should be highly valued for his energy and personalised efficient service his definitely a valuable asset to the company without a doubt

Ordered a scheduled delivery for half past 6 for it to turn up half an hour later at 4:45 when I was not in and a family member had to pay, rang the shop to be told I’ll call the driver and call you back which they never down so had to order more food when home as it was obviously cold and horrible , me and my family have been regular customers for a few years now.

I have been using munchies for the last 2 years and for the most part they have been great. Unfortunately in the last few occasions the food quality has been lower and worst of all I found hair in my food twice. The first time I gave it the benefit of the doubt but this time I found three hairs in the food. Absolutely disgusting and very off putting. I will not be using munchies anymore so I’m sorry to say you have lost a regular customer through lack of clean practices and quality control !

I'm fast becoming a regular of munchies. The pizza is affordable and tastes amazing everytime I get it. The service is fast and my pizza is always hot.

Food is ok, but this evening ordered doner wrap for £6.50, gave £11.50 (to receive £5 note back instead change)and they tried to snich that £5. And only on request thay gave it back. Sooo unprofesional. Remember, last time I am ordering from you. Disgraceful service.

So the food arrived or so we had thought, completely wrong order and it had been sent somewhere else to another house hold. With the current pandemic going on the food should not only have been binned but it should have been recook due to contamination and on basic hygiene itself. When my order finally got here I was missing a 13" pizza.. even after getting a wrong order.. still a whole pizza missing.. how can you miss a pizza box.. the main part of the order. Finally had to have the driver come back a third time to bring my BBQ MEAT PIZZA.. bbq.. there wasnt any sauce on there what so ever, like none.. the meat was bland cold a frost bitten it just tasted stale and off. The burger tasted burnt and like it had been covered in bbq and it was suppose to have ketchup up init. Burger was also covered in red onion and lettuce of which we didnt ask for.. bottom of the burger had one tiny slither of normal lettuce. This has to be the worst service from any take away ive ever had. Even in this pandemic I would not recommend at all waste of an hour and half wait time and the £20 it cost.. dont waste your money I wouldn't even feed this to my dog.

My pregnant sister had terrible food poisoning after ordering a burger and chips, she is still recovering after being rushed to hospital. It has been very distressing and this should not be happening. Explanation please?

Choose Harper's this afternoon for Fish & Chips, very disappointed, on previous visits the quality of the food has been excellent - until today, seems that due to the low turn over the food was kept under hot lights for a considerable time, chips were mushy and inedible , cod was dry and tasteless and the mushy peas were a congealed lump. Definitely one to miss.

Wanted breakfast... my wife had beans on toast I wanted egg and sausage roll... they use the cheapest ingredients... my roll was like a warm bath sponge cheap and nasty.. my wife's beans was on the cheapest bread total waste of money ended up tossing the lot... the coffee was ok so just had that

Friendly staff wife had meat pie with veg trims which she enjoyed I had fish n chips not the greatest but value for money no complaints would go again

Super friendly staff. Really clean and quick service. Ordered twice from here now as new to area, once walk in, once delivered and both time great food. Fresh and tasty. Well Spoken and excellent quality of service which is hard to find in a takeout. 10/10. Definitely eat from here again.

Ordered a meal at 11 00 I believe closing time for a takeaway I can honestly say was the best I've ever had food was hot and tasty fast delivery and a bonus was xtra chips and more than enough extra chicken x

Brilliant chicken shop, small joint with quick service.

Make sure you check your bag before leaving this place cos they charge you for a meal but forget the chips. There are four of them there and couldn't serve to customers in 15 minutes. By the time you are back foe your paid chips your kebab is cold. Also make sure you ask for a fork and tissues cos that's not gonna be also in your takeaway bag. You are supposed to eat salad and kebab & sauces with your fingers but no tissues lol. They're saving on tissues and plastic forks but wasting your time is ok. The older lad is very cocky and has a big mouth for someone in the wrong. The Doner and chips was cold but ok however the service lack of professionalism..! First time and last time here.

Ordered food from here large chicken kebab was more like a small and the chips tasted like they was reheaded not good at all we have nothing but issues when we order from here definitely no buying from here again it's dreadful

Bought a Chicken kebab and was not away from the toilet for 3 days. Today is the first day I've been able to risk venturing away from my caravan. Avoid if you value your bowels.

One of the worst food service we ever had, sent us pizza with wrong toppings

Over an hour to deliver food which was cold, excessively greasy and not very nice. I would not order from here again. This was our first time ordering. When I called to ask where the food was I got told it is out for delivery turned18 minutes later. The bill said delivery by1842-delivered at 1917 poor at best food tasted awful as well

A quick summary.. great tasting food…reasonable price and on time delivery. Not sure what the bad reviewers were on about. Went passed this kebab shop on a mid-week day about 3:30pm and the shop was busy…..a good sign. Decided a couple days later to place a delivery order. The order was booked for 4:20pm and arrived 5 minutes early. The food was still hot. I suggest you order the Tower Burger if you are really hungry as it’s HUGE….and for just £5!! The chicken shish wrap was awesome, very tasty and had the extra chillis as ordered. The prices are very reasonable. I normally order from my local kebab in Chadwell but will switching my favourite to Montreal. Far better flavour, service and price. Those bad reviews do not reflect the quality of food and service I received from Montreal Kebab.

Everytime I order from here they rather leave something out of my order or give me a completely wrong order and when I call up about it I get abuse from the manager down the phone. The description on the website e.g the drinks when you ask for orange tango they give you orange Fanta and say it taste the same and I also get told to never order from there again from the manager. So I don't really recommend ordering from this place..

It's ok for a quick bite. Pizzas are not good and have been left doughy and undercooked in the middle. Stick to the kebabs

Since change of ownership in 2018 I've given this outlet three chances against my better judgement and now wish I hadn't as each have resulted in disappointment and a waste of money. They've greatly overinflated their costs and vastly decreased portion sizes. The food quality has taken a sharp plummet compared to where it was under the former owners and if they ever get a single order correct I'd be amazed. Avoid like the plague. Really isn't worth the agg.

Chicken was off, smelled and tasted off, called up to complain and was shouted at. Never ordered from here if you value your health and wellbeing.

Awful service Ordered through just eat, called them when they were 10 minutes late, they said he’s just around the corner. Another 20 minutes until he finally arrived, I refused the food as it was 30 minutes late. Called restaurant said they would refund but I needed to call just eat. More to this, when he arrived late, I said I don’t want it, he left came back and left it at my front door! I don’t want your late, cold food. I called just eat they said restaurant refused to refund (back stabbing or what, going back on their word), they gave me a voucher and apologised and told me to give a bad review, they will also be investigating their relationship with King Pizza & Grill as this keeps happening. Avoid them like the plague!

My partner ordered through Just Eat, we ordered 2 burgers, 2 chips. One portion of chips were missing, the other was cold and there was no salad in one burger (He had selected the salad option). We called to let them know and they said they would call back. 10 minutes later still no call and now rest of food getting colder, we called back and they said we would have to come collect the food. We said we don't drive and that's why we'd ordered a delivery, but willing to wait for food. So they said nothing they can do. My partner politely asked for some money back then just for the food that wasn't delivered, they refused. When my partner said that wasn't fair he was just told "Don't call here next time then". Quite disappointed as the other food we did receive was okay :(

Ordered a pizza and a MEDIUM chicken shish, the kebab had 3 pieces of chicken in the pitta. I rung to tell the shop who insisted it had 5 pieces, I assured him that it never and I would send him a picture. They called me a liar and told me not to call them again. MEDIUM kebab has 5 pieces how many would a small have...... I recommend people say away from this takeaway at all costs

Literally took over a hour and a half and live in tilbury. Inedable Soggy chips Scampi was cold Drink was warm And no apology from the driver Had this issue a few thimes but always gave benefit of the doubt. Not anymore

Such good kebabs and reasonable prices. Much better than any other kebab shop around and the guys are really friendly. Everything is cooked fresh and is very tasty. Definitely recommend a quick takeaway from here! (Best lamb shish I've ever had too!)

Wife ordered me food from here. Paid £15 for a special shish food arrived it was supposed to have mushrooms and peppers with it everything was burnt the only positive was that the chicken portion was big but it actually had zero seasoning. Totally disappointing and I didn’t even pay for it and I feel that I have been robbed that says alot.

Tried this place for the 1st time tonight,ordered a large donner as that's the benchmark for any kebab place,they nailed it,finally I haven't got to drive to east london if I want a edible donner,well done grays charcoal grill,you are by a mile the best kebab in South Essex as I've tried them all.
