Restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque coastal town of Broughty Ferry, The Tayberry Restaurant is a culinary gem that opened its doors in November 2015, thanks to Chef Proprietor Adam Newth's passion for food and his mission to elevate Tayside's gastronomic reputation. This contemporary dining establishment boasts a relaxed atmosphere spread across two levels, adorned with neutral decor accented by soft purple tones—a nod to the tayberry fruit that originated nearby.
Second time visiting here and can honestly say that is my favourite place in Dundee to eat. The food was incredible - fresh, delicious and a feast for the eye. Good selection of wines and champagne and allowed us to taste some before making our choice. The service was top notch, staff were incredible attentive and friendly and completed the whole experience wonderfully. Highly recommend eating here - a real jewel in Dundee’s crown. Thank you and look forward to eating here real soon.

Visited on Valentine’s Day for their four course meal. Service was great but then the courses started getting slower to be served. The food was honestly quite average, well presented but the taste was not amazing. My main dish had an issue they did offer to replace it but by the fourth course I was stuffed so declined it. The ambiance was a more dark and cozy vibe but the seating was way too close for comfort.

We used our Christmas voucher for a 6 course tasting menu tonight. Food was excellent, hot salmon starter, pork belly next, the scallops, main was haggis, needs & tatties with Grouse breast, the cheese course and last but not least, hazelnut creme brulee which was amazing.

Awesome food and lovely staff. We didnt get one of the best tables, everything else was spot on. Woukd recommended to anyone wanting some top end food. We got it on an itson voucher so even better value 👌

Went by car from Perth, plenty of parking in the street and round the corner. Got a space right in front. 6 course taster menu. We had a voucher so we each dropped a different dessert so we could try them all. Given bread and a crab paste to eat while our food was prepared. We ordered drinks of tayberry purée and rose lemonade. Enjoyed it so much had another. The food was varied and well presented, enjoyed them all, even the pheasant with snails. Favourite was the pollock on squash soup. Very comfortable evening. Couldn’t eat any more.
Joseph K — Google review
We were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table, which was by the window. We both had 3 courses and a bottle of wine. I had steak tartare, pork belly and chocolate device. My friend had the valoute, the fish and lime leaf set custard. There was also bread to begin, which was served with saracha butter. It was all amazing. Wonderful food, all so different and innovative. Will be back.
Vanessa A — Google review
A warm welcome & polite service throughout our meal. We were served our food at a reasonable timing, however when it started to get a bit busier we were waiting considerably longer. The food was nice & we were asked about allergies/ dislikes to avoid being served them and also offered the vegetarian option. I felt quite cramped in the corner once it started getting busier and didn’t want to get up to use the restroom as people would’ve had to pull their chairs in. Food is tasty and it was a new experience for us.

Reasonable place to stop for a meal. Just off the A90 next to Premier Inn. Will seat you in the bar if it’s very busy. Food is standard fare but quite acceptable. Enjoyed the steak.

Great food, steak ,mushroom, corn on the cob and onion rings, followed by black forest gateau. Magic.

Had dinner and breakfast with my wife. We both enjoyed the food immensely and the staff were super nice, polite, efficient and friendly. They could go with a bit more help as they were run off their feet. They coped really well with the volume of customers.

Our third Premier Inn overnight stay in two weeks. We had a Premier+ room. Comfortable, quiet, great facilities even a heated mirror in the bathroom. Room was spacious with a table and two armchairs. Staff were exceptionally friendly. My only complaint is the food quality and choice. Healthy eaters would not like the choices . We had burgers for our evening meal, very greasy, didn’t enjoy. Breakfast has a good choice of cereal, continental and full breakfast. Again, everything greasy, left most of mine. So, location and accommodation 10/10 Food 5/10.
Anthony H — Google review
I had the continental breakfast, croissants tasted like they were half cooked, pancakes tasted like they've been left out, fruit was nice. My partner had the cooked breakfast, said it was ok but the black pudding was deep fried and soaking in grease. Staff were pleasant enough
Behrnice M — Google review
Came in as we had a voucher, staff member who greeted us was cheery which set a good mood. Seating could’ve been nicer as most the chairs were ripped/pealing. The server on bar at the time had to use phone calculator to charge us for the meal (This was not the clearly new bartender). We weren’t initially given a bill so was confused by the price on card machine but partner paid it. The receipt given did not have a price breakdown but when asked for it we found that we had been given a starter rather than a side which was more expensive. Wasn’t a real issue as we went back up to the bar to order a desert and to raise the mistake. We were kindly accommodated by Daniel who listened and fixed the issue efficiently and with a smile. Thank you Daniel!

The bacon at breakfast was brilliant. Extra flavour as they cook it on a grill and cooked fresh. Poached eggs are perfect. Sirloin steak the evening before was tender.

Awful experience tonight. The place was cold, dark and nearly empty on a Saturday night. The starters arrived and one of them was cold. The kids meal arrived and the fries looked like they had been cracked black peppered. Strange for a kids meal but never mind. Then the mains arrived for the adults and all meals had these black speckled fries. Asked the waiter what it was and he said oh it’s just from the fryers. Think a good scrape and scrub of them is required along with an immediate oil change. I ordered 2 fish and chips, only one arrived as only one had been put through. These things can happen I understand that but one person left with no food at a party of 8 isn’t ideal. They did resolve this fairly quickly free of charge. The fish still had skin on it underneath the batter which was odd in my opinion as I feel this is an acquired taste. As a result the 3 people who ordered it left most of their meal as they were put off. You pay upfront at these type of places so it’s not as if we’ve went ordered food and then ripped everything to bits in hope of a discount or freebie. We just got up and left after this didn’t bother waiting for the kids dessert we paid for. It’s a shame that this is the level (or lack of) care that is taken in delivering the product. Hospitality venues are closing daily so I suspect this one won’t be far off if customer numbers are dwindling. We were at table 16/17 around 8pm.

I visited today from Blackpool with family The pub was reasonably busy and understaffed for a pub if the size The new shift leader was polite friendly and helpful Ross was bubbly and bought a nice atmosphere to the pub a good asset working both bar and floor Same as zoe a quite but polite member of staff Brewer's fayre are lucky to have such assets covering a massive floor space with minimal staff and still being able to stay friendly polite and professional I will state the food is a wasn't as impressive as the customer service I received Served mildly warm again this could be due to short staff so food may of been stood under a hotplate So as honest as this review is please be conscious that the staff work hard and in this industry its hard to spend the correct amount of time with customers and trying to get a service done when you are acting as a all rounder So if you meet the same issue as me please be respectful to the staff and they will be just as respectful with you Happy dining all

We went there on Saturday and place wasn't too busy. After we refused to sit right next to exit and entrance door, we got seated at very nice table at the window. And it was very quiet..so we couldn't really understand why waiter wanted us to sit right at the door where people are walking in and out and queuing. Anyway food arrived very quickly and was tasty. Only thing my friend got unlucky with coffee..one was very wattery and second one was cold. But overall we were happy and staff was friendly.

We booked our sons second birthday party here. The staff were absolutely fantastic, Ross in particular. They couldn't have made it smoother if they tried. Everyone was so friendly, outgoing and accommodating. Food was delicious, they supply invitations, party bags, everything! I barely had to lift a finger. My son was absolutely delighted with his party and so was I. I'm still getting messages from friends telling me how impressed they were with the venue. Absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much for having us.

We came on a Sunday which was a bit quiet but that's all right nice family dinner took our orders at the bar the carvery wasn't full swing food was delicious had a nice time staff were very polite and courteous

Left without ordering. No service. Staff more interested in asking about medical conditions than welcoming patrons. Asked the same question twice by two staff. Felt more like airport security than a restaurant.

The Bach is a trendy and laid-back bar bistro that pays homage to New Zealand, offering a global influence on its cafe fare. The name "Bach" reflects its Kiwi roots, meaning a holiday getaway home. Run by Kiwi owners, it offers an easygoing atmosphere with no-fuss mentality. The menu features craft coffee, rock star flavors, and diverse brunch options such as Eggs Benedict, kedgeree, corn fritters, and coconut-lime waffles.
Big up to Jonty for making our lunch date enjoyable. He provided great recommendations and the food was spectacular. The beer with the mango essence was a killer as well. Will come back again :)
Vignesh R — Google review
The Bach is located in the city centre, but parking is a bit far—so be ready for a short walk. The interior is well-designed and inviting, with a dog-friendly setup and seating options that work for everyone. I tried one of their smoothies, which was really good. However, for an Indian palate, I found the food a bit bland. Also, if you ask for a dip or sauce, they charge an extra pound, which felt a bit much. That said, the overall experience was positive—especially for first-timers who enjoy exploring new cuisines. Portion sizes were decent too
Abby S — Google review
I visited this spot on 3rd September and I have to say, I was really impressed. The vibe of the place is so chill and cozy. It’s the kind of atmosphere where you can just relax and enjoy your meal. The interior is also really well done, giving it an inviting feel. If you're ever looking for a place to unwind, this is definitely one to check out. I decided to try their Fried Vegan Breakfast and wow, the spread was amazing. Every element was fresh, flavorful, and really hit the spot. Just a heads-up, though, they do charge a little extra if you want bread with your breakfast, which was a bit of a surprise, but still worth it for the quality. Their menu is pretty extensive, offering something for everyone, but keep in mind the prices are a bit on the steeper side. Still, if you’re into exploring different cuisines and appreciate a cozy dining experience, it’s totally worth it. Overall, it was a really good experience and I will definitely be back to try more of their offerings. If you love discovering new places and enjoy tasty, well-prepared meals, this one’s a gem!
Ritz L — Google review
Came here for lunch, we were advised it would take about 30 minutes to get our food as it was pretty much full. We ordered the Cabbie burger and the French Toast, we also recieved a complimentary taster from the dinner menu that was pork (forgot the actual name but the man who served us it was very lovely and did fully explain the dish). All the food was delicious, no notes. We also had an iced chai latte and an iced mocha, also delicious and also no notes. The Bach is the best place in town in regards to having a variety of food for brunch, it is incredibly busy often for a reason!
Hannah B — Google review
Full disclosure before I start - I'm a Kiwi, so I'm a little biased about this wonderful gem. Dundee, you are so lucky to have this cafe. The menu was so varied that it was hard to decide. They take brunch seriously here, and that's reflected in their offerings. My korean fried chicken was delicious and served on a light cornmeal waffle. I loved the touch of pickled veges. Coffee's were great. On top of that, they've got a range of Kiwi treats on offer as well. The Bach ppl - if you're reading this, please know you're awesome. If there was one thing that jarred, it was the music choice. Nirvana at 10am on a Thursday wasn't quite the vibe we were expecting. Bring on Fat Freddys and crowded house (or, you know, a little more chill). ❤️
Anna A — Google review
Beware, the menu changes late afternoon. I came with a menu item in mind only to have missed the option by 20 minutes! The evening menu provides a good range of choices. So my Morrocan Carrots and Sweet Potato Fries substituted to provide an interesting range of tastes. The Spirulina cold drink went well with the food. The capuccino is the best I've tried in Dundee... so far!
Steve M — Google review
Giggling because google didn’t suggest this place. Now seeing the reviews, we are the ignorant and can confirm well worth a visit. We stumbled in tonight (Friday) and were so pleasantly surprised with the quality across the board. Kiwis did it right. Tomahawk was the star, everything else also delish. Atmosphere is a bit odd but you can actually hear each other and it all works. Very much enjoyed!!!

Worst experience. I was recommended to come here and I was extremely disappointed. We ordered two breakfasts. As vegetarians and that was made clear. I was given bacon on my plate. They took the bacon off and gave the plate back. It was unprofessional of them as they should have made a fresh plate. Got my food back and the eggs were so undercooked so changed my order. Partner didn’t eat his as the his eggs were extremely undercooked. Charged full price which was £41 even with a pathetic £4 taken off. We shouldn’t have been charged for at least one of the meals. Disappointed and do not recommend!
Kirsty S — Google review
Went for brunch as many recommended. Pastrami toastie had a tiny slither of pastrami. Poor value. Partner left feeling hungry. Haevos pacamara was bland. Coffee was alright. No seats inside. So happy to sit outside. Very wobbly bench & table. Better value tastier brunch options elsewhere.

Amazing place. We went there for breakfast on a Sunday. It was quite busy already. Unfortunately they only accept walk-ins. We were lucky that there were a few tables available. We had the waffles and brioche French toast. Delicious. Coffee was very good as well. Their cake selection looked great and we're yet to try them. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We're looking forward to going back.

Small interesting cafe by Perth road. Tried 2 dishes. Korean buttermilk fried chicken with Gochujang chili sauce. The waffles was made well with a certain crisp to it and wasn’t burnt. The sweetness of the honey waffles went well with the sweetness and spicyness of the fried chicken. Recommended to try! Whereas for the Beef burger. The beef patty was slightly over cooked but everything came well together. However, the rusted fries was however something you should get , it was fried perfectly and well seasoned!

The Flame Tree Cafe is a popular and bustling eatery located in the heart of Dundee, offering a variety of breakfast and lunch options such as sandwiches, sweet treats, and coffee. While not entirely vegan, the cafe has responded to customer demand by gradually increasing its selection of vegan menu items over time.
We were early for an afternoon music event at Caird Hall and found this little cafe which we chose because it was close and had excellent reviews. The menu has plenty of great choices and the prices very reasonable. It was early afternoon, the place was busy but we were able to get a table by the window. My wife declared that her smashed avocado toasty was the best she’d had anywhere and my tuna mayo sandwich was excellent. The bread tasty and very fresh. The coffee was really good too. Bear in mind it closes at 3pm. Highly recommended and we’ll be back next time we are in Dundee.

Really great coffee ☕️ however expected more of the bagel. Ordered a chicken mayo bagel 🥯 which I generally know as a hot meal however it came and the chicken mayo was ice cold which I really didn't enjoy or expect.

I took an impromptu trip to Dundee from Glasgow during the bank holiday and had a lovely day. This lovely day was made by sampling the infamous rainbow bagel! I had zero expectations, but the staff were lovely, my order was prompt and the bacon & cream cheese on the rainbow bagel was delicious :) recommend dropping in on your travels

Brilliant range for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options! Options for alternative milks for a multitude of different drinks (milkshakes, coffees etc etc) Most of the sandwiches can be done with gluten free bread and there's an entire section of the menu dedicated to vegan options. Today I stopped by with my mother and got a beetroot ginger latte with soy milk which was LOVELY ! I also got a falafel, hummus, rocket and tomato sandwich on gluten free bread, and a side of the soup of the day (pea and mint). Genuinely a super tasty sandwich and my mother enjoyed her vegan cheese toastie (gf bread). There are also multiple options for vegan/gf baking at the front counter. The waiters are very nice also!

SCOTTISH CAFE / AUSSIE ROOTS! Stopped by today for a spot of lunch, been meaning to try & review this one for while! Light, airy & fresh decor, it’s very easy on the eye on arrival. Greeted quickly & sat by the window, once decided orders taken at the counter. I had the Coronation chicken ciabatta which was without doubt the best I have tasted & no sultanas as it should be! The wife had Spicy Chorizo Ciabatta & some Hash Brown Nuggets, all to the same very high standard. Finished off with a flat white & double macchiato, again top barista skills there, they were devine! Highly recommend giving them a try 😃

First visit and the food was unbelievable! Very yummy and reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow, albeit friendly but the food more than made up for it. No options for food intolerant folks which is a bit disappointing. We always plan for somewhere not catering for our daughter as she has a very severe dairy and gluten allergy (if it's delicious, she's probably allergic- poor gal) even a vegan option of a pancake would have been good as there was a vegan breakfast but no pancake option unfortunately. Just a small suggestion 😊 Will be back, really enjoyed the first visit!

Food was excellent. Service was a bit slow, but it was a busy Friday lunchtime. I had the sriracha chicken stacker, which was fantastic. Maple sriracha sauce was delicious, great balance of heat and sweet. Only criticism was I’d like more bacon. Certainly add more if you enjoy bacon. I have been here quite a a few times now but I went yesterday with my brother and as usual the food was fabulous. I was also really impressed with the service, the waitress was very cheery and friendly which. really adds to the experience and makes a difference. Will definitely be back again.

Lovely little place and the food was delicious. I was however disappointed to be charged and extra 50p to have oat milk in my coffee rather than cows.

I had the banofee stack pancakes and it was delicious the place was empty but that was probably due to the time and day I visited. It was when a storm was happening. The cafe is clean tidy, well spaced out with booths to have your privacy and also warm. The staff were very pleasant and joy to talk to which is rare, certainly in my opinion. The pancakes we delicious and there was ample toffee sauce to go with the pancakes. I really, really enjoyed them! I also didn't feel rushed to pay and leave; I was left alone to warm myself next to the radiator as I was frozen, maybe thats because Im from the south. Price was very good under £10. Would definitely return for something different with a partner in crime in tow.

Its OK, good pancake and quick service. Chips undercooked, lots of staff but they dont fully clean table areas before passing onto guests - debris under table from kids, staff covering multiple stations so had multiple staff asking same questions. Stick to the pancakes.
Foodie E — Google review
The blueberry milkshake is good, but tastes kind of artificial. The glass in which the milkshake was served was a bit dirty. The spoon sized pancakes with chocolate sauce were good, even though the toffee version is even better, great value for the amount you get! The English breakfast with Haggis was great:)

Amazing food & drink, attentive staff topped off with a lovely atmosphere. This wee gem of a cafe come restaurant is a must visit if you are staying in Dundee. 😍 Booking highly recommended as there were a few turned away while we were there. We were staying at the Central Travelodge and looking for breakfast. It is a little expensive but very much worth every penny. We had two breakfasts with drinks (see pics 😋) and it cost £26.40. If we stayed in Dundee we would definitely return. Thank you West House for a lovely experience. 😎

Went here on a deal with Itison so had a look at the reviews beforehand. Externally it doesn't look great and under normal circumstances would pass it by however we were surprised. Food was freshly prepared and tasty. Service was excellent and the young man and woman organising our food couldn't have been more helpful. Toilets were nice and clean. An enjoyable experience

Friendly service, it was really busy so that's always a good sign. Plenty of GF options. Really good pizza. 😋. I had goats cheese which was delicious. I would recommend this place for lunch or brunch.

I’ve visited West House a couple of times recently and it’s quickly becoming a favourite spot. The Ragu pasta was absolutely delicious, rich, hearty and full of flavour. I also came by for brunch with my dance society and had the chicken and bacon sandwich, which was really tasty and felt great value for money. The place itself has such a lovely, chilled vibe. The interior is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax with friends. On top of that, they have a really good selection of drinks at the bar. Overall, West House is a gem in Dundee with great food, great atmosphere and definitely worth a visit.

Stumbled across this wonderful cafe serving gf pizza and pasta using the find me gluten free app. It was very busy so we had a wee wait but it was well worth it for the absolutely delicious gluten free and dairy free half pizza I enjoyed with a small bowl of sweet potato, carrot and butternut squash soup. Only £10.75. It's the best gluten free pizza I've had in the ten years I've not been able to eat gluten. Staff are very friendly. Music was very loud and difficult to have a conversation when we first arrived as people were speaking loudly to be heard but by the end of the meal some people had left and the music was quieter so it was a lovely relaxing ambience and able to have a conversation.

Pizzas fuel photoshoots! Our team met for lunch ahead of a project in Dundee, sharing some very tasty pizzas and potato wedges. The ‘little hottie’ is a favourite! The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere relaxing and easy to chat. Highly recommend a visit, whether you’re on a photoshoot or not!

Not much is open at 8am which posed a challenge as we were due to an event at 9am at the University. After our first option fizzled out, we happened across The West House. I had a great coffee and we really enjoyed the meal. The atmostphere was great and we really enjoyed the music (despite not knowing most of it). The staff were very pleasant and aware of why we were visiting so thoughtful in how they engaged us. We were able to eat quickly and make it out on schedule. Overall this was a great start to the day and I'll return again.

Had a fantastic meal for my daughter's 21st. Clean, smart modern surroundings, the food was fabulous. Service wasn't the fastest, but that made for a relaxing meal. It's a wine bar later in the evening so i recommend eating early as it livens up after 9pm.

Enjoyed a very tasty brunch that was really nicely presented & freshly prepared. Coffee ☕️ was also extremely good, the best flat white I've had, great blend of strength & flavour. The menu covers breakfast, brunch & lunch with a wide variety of tasty dishes with Vegan options. Plenty of cakes to choose from. Pleasant inside seating area & there are outside tables plus the cosy huts. Highly recommended 👍😁

The place was quite nice overall — definitely a good experience. I would recommend making a reservation, especially if you’d like to sit outside or book one of the pods, as it really adds to the atmosphere and enhances the overall satisfaction. The food was delicious with plenty of options to choose from, and the service was quick and efficient. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu! We’re also looking forward to trying the afternoon tea next time — it seems like a great option as well

I know this has a lot of reviews, but I wanted to add to it. We lived in a very nice neighborhood in Paris for a number of years and the Post House Coffee Co. cafe was every bit as good as any cafe in our Paris neighborhood. The service was pleasant and the coffee and breakfast was fantastic. I am thinking about moving in next door simply to come for breakfast in the mornings. We were traveling north and took the time to get off the main road to stop here for breakfast and we were so glad we did.

We had a good brunch. Food is fresh and service was good. I liked that they serve whipped cream with the scones which is not often here in the UK. I don’t like it when it’s served with clotted cream or butter, heavy. I’ll visit again for the afternoon tea.

I genuinely love this place! Chain coffee shops have no personal touch, many family run coffee shops in Dundee are poorly run - this place beats the competition in my opinion and is an excellent example of an owner who truly cares. Completely spotless, lovely atmosphere inside, lovely music choice - kind of feels like you’re in someone’s living room in the best way. You can tell many of the cakes and bakes are made in house as well as the soup. They remind me of my childhood and the warm hug you’d feel eating your grandparents baking. The coffee is delicious, the syrup selection is perfect and the staff genuinely make this place. They are so friendly, you can build a rapport with them and they remember your face. Until I changed my regular order they knew as soon as I walked in the door what to start brewing! The responsiveness to all reviews by the owner is the cherry on top of the cake! Seriously could not praise this place more.

Due to starting college in the City, I found this delightful coffee shop in the city centre. From the great service from Emily, other staff and the lovely atmosphere, I highly recommend this place. Such a cosy and clean place. Nice to see customers all speaking to one another in the passing also, which showed me that they clearly have a loyal customer base. Parlour is a renowned restaurant in Dundee, established in 2013 and known for its changing seasonal menu. The restaurant offers traditional and experimental dishes with an extensive wine list. Head chef Alan Murchison brings classic French cuisine to the table, featuring dishes like snails with garlic butter and tarragon toast. Additionally, Parlour's sister restaurant, Kitchen 1877, is located nearby. This neighborhood cafe serves modern breakfast and lunch options along with occasional pop-up evening events.
Wonderful wee place! Staff are super friendly and accommodating, had a lovely chat with one of the waitresses when my food was served. I had the biscoff bun (which was scrumptious) and a pot of tea. So many good cakes to choose from, and all a generous size! My friend had the falafel wrap, again a generous portion size and she said it was delicious. A great variety of wraps, sausage rolls, tortillas, soups, cakes and pastries to choose from. One of my new favourite places! It can be quite busy here so try and time your arrival right, but you shouldn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for a table.
Isabella M — Google review
Ive just had one of the most confusing cafe trips of my life. As soon as we arrived, with a pram, another door had to be opened, for some reason this involved a 5ft 3 staff member, on a stepladder with a Butter knife. We ordered banana bread and some bacon bagels (apparently they had no rolls.) I know the banana bread is fresh and, given how long it took to arrive, I can only assume they started baking it the moment we asked for it. As for the rest of it, the bacon was so raw, I wouldn't be surprised if the pig's family were still in mourning, it was paired with a bagel so raw and untoasted, it may well have been used as a blunt weapon to finish off the pig. All in all, wouldn't recommend.

Went in for breakfast with my partner and baby and had an awful experience. The cafe was visibly dirty and when my coffee came out had a lipstick stain on the cup. When our banana bread came eventually came out (and resembled the texture of builders sand) we were given it on one plate with the explanation 'we don't have that many plates so you have to share'... our bacon bagels came 20 mins later and weren't even toasted and the bacon was raw! Don't go!

Visit here frequently and food is very good, lovely staff and place . Great ambience too . Was extremely disappointed however 😞 with the Christmas Dinner on Friday night which consisted mainy of roast parsnips, the tiniest slice of turkey and hard sprouts and search for a bit of a potato. Nice and beautiful decorated place. Food is not spectacular but cocktails and atmosphere are outstanding. It has a little car parking with an accessible entrance from the back. Tonight I watched bouncers from this venue stand over a girl having multiple seizures. They continued to blame her for 'being to drunk or taking something'. Which even if she had is a disgraceful lack of care. They phoned an ambulance to say she was drunk, i needed to call 999 and tell them she had multiple seizures for any help to arrive. When I left the management came to tell me 'thanks for helping but this happens alot and she was not having a seizure she was drunk'. Absolutely disgusting. Please do not go here if you are at any risk of needing any medical help, they will not call for help and blame you. Pictures attached are of the bouncers standing talking about how 'drunk' this pregnant woman who has epilepsy is.

Me and Girlfriend ordered about £70 worth of food for kids and ourselves, only about 3 things turned up that we actually ordered. Everything else was replaced by something we had not ordered with no communication, wouldn't have been that bothered if the food wasn't cold, dry and just straight up stale and inedible. Tried to phone, but turned off phone then stopped taking orders off Just Eat. Straight waste of money and shocking service.

Amazing freshly cooked food for an incredible price - you definitely get a lot on your plate. In the best way possible of course! First time I've been despite eyeing it up for a while and regret not going sooner. I had the Banaberry Pancakes (banana, all the berries, strawberry ice cream, squirty cream and syrup) and easy amazed at the amount of pancakes and toppings you get in the stack! My friend had the Chocoberry Indulgence Crepes (nutella, strawberry, chocolate sauce, choc drops, squirty cream, ½ chocolate ½ strawberry ice cream). She really enjoyed it too. Will return soon to try more!

This was a lucky find on our 3-day trip to Dundee. The moza sticks are super chunky. The burgers have something magical going on! Friendly staff, have had better burgers elsewhere to be honest hence only 3 stars. Chicken starter was really nice (think was called salt n pepper). Approx £20 / person sharing a starter & soft drink. The tables don't give much privacy - if you are looking for a romantic date go elsewhere, if you are looking for a meal with a non-romantic friend is OK.

We ordered the own my planet vegan platter which was £19. The tofu was very dry and bland, everything tasted the same with little to no flavour and all just very deeply fried and very dry. The chips were quite soggy too and didn’t appear to have any salt on them. Also really flavourless. Overall just super disappointed, the platter didn’t look appetising at all, and this meal is completely not worth £19 and I’m surprised you are able to charge this much for it, considering it is mainly veg. I have to say though, the staff were really lovely and attentive. Couldn’t fault them at all but extremely disappointed with the food, definitely a waste of money and had to go home to cook dinner. Not planning to return!

Vandal & Co is a must visit in Dundee. Its newer to the area but has made quite the statement with its different but delicious menu. The menu is regularly updated and changed with quirky and comical item names. You'll never go hungry when visiting as their portions are large and keep you wanting more. I've visited over 6 times now and get something different each time and I'm never disappointed. One of my favourites from the menu so far is the salt and pepper chicken starter which is mouth watering. They have plenty of incentives to visit on different says whether is £5 cocktails to a % off of your bill at the end. They make you want to come back and it's a great place to visit with friends and enjoy a meal together. In December I also visited during the Xmas period and they had a special Xmas menu which I booked and attended with friends which was unique and nice on the mouth. They even gave out Christmas crackers for the party. Would definitely recommend visiting, you won't leave hungry 😋

Really tasty food for a reasonable price. The plates looked a bit small when they were initially brought out, however, you do get a lot of food on them! There was 6 of us in our group (only 2 meals shown) and we were all catered for well. I had the Royale Toast which had perfectly soft poached eggs and a generous serving of smoked salmon. Absolutely delicious! Others in my group had the Steak & Eggs, Getting Smashed Toast, and the Naughty Waffles.

Words can't describe how good this place is. My friend and I had dinner here on a Wednesday night. It was busy so I'd definitely recommend booking a table in advance. The food was beyond delicious. I had the satay stir fry with chicken and my friend had the drunken noods also with chicken. Both delicious. However, our desserts stole the show big time. We shared the churro waffle and Vandal brownie. Amazing. Words can't describe it. Just go and try them. The staff were fantastic. Very friendly, attentive and polite. No doubt we'll definitely be back.

We choose this place for lunch after a long and exhausted trip, but the food is REALLY DISAPPOINTING!!! We ordered three crispy pork ramens and all of them taste like the chef is just beginning to learn cook:( The crispy pork is overcooked, it’s totally tasteless except bitter….. And the ramen is undercooke, lots of them stuck together. TOTALLY DISASTER!!! I’ll never recommend my friends to come to this restaurant. The chef really need to learn how to cook ramen plz:) ALSO each ramen is 14 pounds, it’s absolutely not worth this price!!!! Also, I’m very disappointed with the reply and attitudes of the restaurant. We were just making an honest comment about our food experience. The manager said they have come to ask about our feelings during the meal. The truth is no one came to our table to ask that, not even when the waiter took the plates away and after checkout. If this restaurant have time, they should pay more time on figuring out how to make a good ramen instead of arguing with their customers in the comments.

came here for our anniversary lunch, it’s a lovely little place, which we normally wouldn’t visit but wanted to try something new. This place does amazing pancakes, that are great portions and a range of toppings. The staff were lovely and the prices were reasonable too. cannot complain about any of it. will definitely be back for a sugar rush!! Went here for brunch as it had good reviews online, we had 2 drinks, one avocado and toast and a soup and toastie which came to just under £30. The tuna melt toastie was falling apart due to it being soggy (leading us to believe it was perhaps frozen) and when mentioned at the till, the waitress simply brushed it off and handed me the card machine. I will say the peach ice tea was very nice but all round a pretty disappointing experience for the cost.

Stopped in here for lunch recently and decided to go for the bacon pancakes. Service was relatively fast and fairly friendly. The food was nice enough, but felt like there was something missing (although can’t pinpoint what - possibly some more bacon!). Would definitely stop by and give another go, lots of nice looking things on the menu.
S W — Google review
The food in the Canon was ok but just a couple of niggles. I had the Canon eggs; poached eggs were a bit over-done and not hot enough and the mushrooms weren't sufficiently cooked. The rest of the plate was good. Service was fine. The main issue was I was sat next to the door and got blasted with cold air every time the door was opened. A small screen would probably fix this.
Mark Y — Google review
We had great expectations from The Cannon but we were disappointed. The food was not bad during the first couple of bites but after that my partner and I started feeling our stomachs heavy. We both ended up having a strong discomfort after some time. I cannot pinpoint what exactly was wrong but 2 people having discomfort at the same time is not coincidental.

Shocking service. My husband and I wanted a quick takeaway order, asked for a bagel, can of juice and a smoothie. The order was taken and paid for, then 5 minutes later, we were told that the smoothie couldn't be made as they were short staffed - there were only 2 other tables at the time and I could see 4 members of staff, not one of them could turn a blender on?? The smoothie was refunded and we waited for the bagel... 10 minutes later and another member of staff sees us waiting and asks if we're waiting for an order?! At this point we were now running late, not one item in our original order had been properly seen to - even the can of juice was the wrong flavour! Absolutely appalling service, if the place was actually busy I would have understood, but this was an absolute joke.
Olivia P — Google review
I only had a coffee since I was on a short break. The coffee was fine (not a coffee expert) however the atmosphere was strange…? They give you a menu but I couldn’t tell if you had to go up and order or if a waiter came over to take an order. Seating wasn’t the comfiest either. Could do with some improvements such as seating arrangements for a smaller cafe, better ordering system and comfortable chairs.

food was alright. atmosphere was very strange. took over 20 minutes for us to be served and seemed as though staff didn’t care. no mayo in bagel eventhough it states it on the menu. tables weren’t cleared in time and so they refused entry to a number of customers even though staff were visibly stood watching the entire time.

Crave in Dundee is a takeout restaurant that offers a variety of hot and cold food options, but their dessert menus are the real highlight. In addition to pancakes, they also serve crepes and waffles with a wide range of 13 toppings. While they have traditional choices like maple syrup and banoffee, they also offer more unique options like unicorn smarties with bubblegum and raspberry sauce, hundreds & thousands, marshmallows, and whipped cream.
Best cookie dough I've had, was still very warm on arrival, and milkshakes are delicious! Plenty choice to personalise your order online. Ordered for a specific time and it arrived on time. Good value for money. My go to for a sweet night in! Would highly recommend!

Waiting over 2 hours for the food. When it got here food was freezing cold. Ice cream and smoothies were missing. Guy on the phone (when they finally answered) was no help at all. I was £33.35 for a wrap and chips, And waffle bites that I can’t even eat!! I will never order from here again

Ordered online food was an hour late cold and missing items!! Contacted the restaurant after half an hour of the stated delivery time and was told 5 minutes and then contacted them 20 minutes after that to be told it’s on its way to then wait another 10 minutes before it was delivered missing 2 shakes and ice cream!! To top it off the wrap, chips and waffle were freezing cold!!
