Dundee Science Centre is a modern and engaging hub that offers entertaining and educational multimedia experiences, live shows, and hands-on interactive exhibits. It is considered one of the best museums in Dundee, Scotland, with numerous exhibition halls showcasing unique scientific displays. Visitors can explore a wide collection of science and technology exhibits covering topics such as space, energy, the Earth, and the human body.
Amazing value for money! £12.50 for 1 adult, 1 child. We arrived at 9.45, and the centre was already open (opens at 10am) I was able to purchase tickets and wait for the exhibits to open. Toilets and shop. Cafe that is reasonably priced. All the exhibits are hands-on, and everyone was sharing pleasantly. All staff were friendly and helpful. By lunchtime, it was very busy, so I'd suggest going when it opens for the best experience.

A great day out. The kids love it, and there is more than enough to interest adults as well. They have all sorts of medical curiosities upstairs, including interactive digital games. There's a water feature and loads of physical games to play Downstairs. I highly recommend the free mini science shows they put on -- the one we saw had fire and electricity etc. and the crowd loved it. Staff are super friendly in general. There's so much to do that you can't do it all in the 2.5 hour block; you'll want to come back.
George R — Google review
Went to the Science Centre in Dundee as me and my girlfriend were looking for something to do and realised this was one of the places we haven’t been to yet. I’ve posted a couple of pictures from our visit but my recommendation is to check it out. You get allotted 2.5 hours time inside (which you think won’t be enough), however, there is plenty of stuff to interact with, read and learn. There is also a little show twice a day from what we gathered. There is 2 floors. Downstairs definitely more kid friendly. Upstairs is a bit more in depth and to do with medical. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Amazing visit.
Gareth M — Google review
Great visit while on vacation from Canada! Staff were attentive and we were treated like royalty as local kids were at school. We even got treated to a special 3D printed gift!! The science experiments were a must see! Katie was great! ⚡️

Dundee Science Centre offers an exceptionally engaging experience, enhanced by a welcoming atmosphere and a highly professional, helpful staff. The interactive exhibits provide a stimulating environment for visitors of all ages, making it a truly rewarding day out 😍
Karola K — Google review
The staff are fantastic – friendly, attentive, and really make the visit enjoyable. The exhibits are very well thought out, interactive, and genuinely spark children’s curiosity and imagination. It’s a place where kids can learn through play and discovery, and adults also find it engaging. The whole experience feels carefully crafted and inspiring. On top of that, the entry price is reasonable, making it excellent value for families.

Great fun for the young ones. Educational and fun. Focussed on STEM and really worth a trip

Great little museum with an awesome cafe. The kids wandered around for the entirety of our booking. Sand table with overhead projector was a particular favourite

Nestled within the expansive Camperdown Country Park in Dundee, Camperdown Wildlife Centre is a delightful zoological park offering a serene and natural environment to explore various animal and bird enclosures. Visitors can marvel at European brown bears, otters, birds of prey, lemurs, meerkats, wolves, tortoises, peacocks, and goats among other species. The center also features engaging educational programs for families and nature enthusiasts.
This is such a wee gem of a place! We went in the middle of winter and it was about -2°C and we still saw so many animals. It was so reasonably price. I’m not sure what normal prices are but for two adults, a child and a baby, we only paid £10! There was a great wee quiz you can do as you go round. The staff seemed lovely and the animals looked very well taken care of. I reckon that this place will be even better in the summer. We hope to go back. If you’re ever in Dundee, I’d highly recommend paying this place a visit!
Catriona A — Google review
Great day out for everyone, only £6 for kids and OAPs, £9 for adults and £30 for a family of 2 adults and 3 kids, lots of lovely animals to see, beautiful trees and woodland walks too with picnic areas, there's also a nice wee cafe and nice clean toilets. We spent about 4 hours here and weren't bored once. Definitely coming back to explore more of the woodland walks, I would recommend this park to families and adults alike.

Absolutely fantastic 1st visit as im on my dundee 11 days holiday, i got there 10.15 ish and didn't leave til 3.30 wanted to experience all the animals, truly amazing place well done to the whole team for making this a memorable time, the animals well cared for,.good presentation and informative boards to read, the admission fee brilliant, the facilities toilets excellent and the cafe excellent food a very friendly team, I explored everything and everywhere x at the end of my visit , the 3 brown bears came out , brian and pebbles the otters came out, oh what a joy made so many memories , all the animals made my day absolutely fantastic highly recommend cheers nicki t from Nottinghamshire
Nicola T — Google review
Nice the little walk around with the family seeing all the animals and finished off with going to the park. It seems slightly run down and the food in the cafe wasn’t the best but filled the belly. Had a good chat with the woman feeding the otters who answered all of the kids questions.
Stewart K — Google review
The tickets were cheaper on the door than buying online. As to be expected some animals were hiding away. Some of the enclosures are pretty overgrown which also means you can’t see as much as you might like to. The bears look really healthy and happy. The cafe was extortionate. The food was acceptable but a simple sandwich was over £7, baked potato over £10. Overall all a good little park, plenty of animals to see. I’d probably take a picnic if I visited again!
Katy I — Google review
Still a great wildlife park well worth a visit. Plenty of animals to see. Good price and no rush just take your time and enjoy your day.

Such a lovely little wildlife park. Clean and tidy centre. Such a good price for a family of 5. Will definitely be back again.

Although this place is looking a little tired now, it's animals are obviously really well cared for. It's a great place to take the kids especially as it's surrounded by a stunning country park.

V&A Dundee is a major part of the waterfront redevelopment in Dundee, offering new routes for outdoor activities and connecting with the River Tay. The museum shares a building with Tatha Gallery and Newport Restaurant, providing panoramic views. Visitors can enjoy a unique Japanese-inspired afternoon tea at Tatha Bar & Kitchen, featuring a blend of Japanese and Scottish flavors. However, it's important to note that V&A Dundee is not dog-friendly unless the dog is an assistance animal.
This is a very impressive space - lovely and bright - plenty of places to to sit too. Lots to see - all with a real Scottish theme. Very quirky shop too, but the stuff on sale was really expensive. Some of it was themed to the various exhibitions, including one on gardening (which was not free to view). Very nice cafe too with great views. Also plenty of toilets - some as you go in (lockers too) and more on the exhibition floor. There are stairs and elevators - very wheelchair friendly space. Best of all- it’s free. You can leave a donation though. Well worth a visit.
Dorothy G — Google review
An extraordinary modernist structure, both without and within. The unusual shape limits the amount of gallery space but the collections are still interesting. CRM’s oak room is an absolute jewel of interior design and is a must-visit attraction.

V&A Museum Dundee is an absolutely stunning building with unique modern architecture that beautifully stands by the River Tay. Inside, it’s very clean, well organised, and offers a great mix of exhibitions about design, art, and culture. The café is lovely with a relaxing atmosphere and good food options, perfect for a short break during your visit. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and always willing to guide visitors. Overall, a wonderful place to explore and enjoy — definitely worth visiting when in Dundee!
Chathura M — Google review
Stunning museum- a true treasure. The architecture and design inside and out are truly iconic. Really enjoyed the Scottish Design and Palestinian Embroidery exhibits. What a treat to see one of Charles Rennie Macintosh’s tea rooms in its entirety! Lovely knowledgeable staff- at entrance and used exhibits - friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable.
Anneliese M — Google review
V&A Dundee is truly a design museum for all ages. We were so impressed with the dedicated free family resources—from the activity sheets and books to the drop-in creative zones. My children had an absolutely amazing experience with the hands-on drawing and arts activities provided. It's clear the V&A makes creativity integral to the whole visit, making it an inspiring and comfortable place for kids to learn and explore design through their own artwork!
Malinda S — Google review
We went in on 12th Oct in the morning and were greeted by friendly staff who gave me a brief description of the museum. Then we heard the announcement that there will be a guided tour at 11am so we just joined. The staff did an excellent job showing us around the exterior and the Scottish museum as well. We got to learn the design ideas and some of the behind the scene stories while it came to build the building. We had a great time. I think the staff is called Isabella or Elizabeth, sorry my bad with the names but she was excellent and very informative. It is a must visit place if you like design and architecture. I hope they will get more collections and exhibitions to fill in the space in the future.
Ellen L — Google review
The V&A was completely different super modern and right by the water, which already sets the vibe. The building looks mad from the outside, like it’s floating or something. Inside, everything felt sleek and design-focused, but still approachable. The exhibitions were creative and interactive in a way that didn’t feel too "museum-y" if that makes sense. It's one of those places that makes you see everyday stuff in a new way. Would go back, especially if there’s a new exhibition on.
Skylar M — Google review
Garden and Palestinian embroidery exhibition fantastic and stimulating. Good cafe and resources. Permanent exhibition of Scottish design seems poorly curated and haphazardly displayed

Verdant Works Museum in Dundee is a popular tourist attraction that offers an immersive experience into the city's industrial textile heritage. Housed in a restored mill, the museum showcases interactive displays and shares the stories of 19th and 20th century jute production. Visitors can step back in time to understand the lives of up to 50,000 mill workers who played a crucial role in Dundee's economy.
Really enjoyed a look around this museum. It’s a very large place with a number of different areas in the building to walk through to learn about the history of the jute trade. There’s an on site cafeteria where the staff were very helpful. Free car park as well, you have to register your car number plate on the screen in the cafeteria.
Donald M — Google review
Very well presented history of Jute industry, not over whelming and so some good animated displays Volunteers very helpful. Bolton and Watt engine runs from time to time, although driven by electric motor. Mostly accesible with small mobility scooter, although given the age cobbles are to expected. Very pleasant cafe. 20 minute walk to Vand A or Discovery centre.
Pete W — Google review
Greeted with an informative welcome from a volunteer explaining the history of the building and why Verdant was the chosen name (sited on what was previously green fields). This museum was well laid out, easy to navigate, and gave great insights into the jute making history of India & Dundee. The influence of the former whaling industry was an eye opener. This was also a good insight to the social history of Dundee. A couple of hours very well spent.
Steve M — Google review
I spent a very enjoyable couple of hours in the museum, and in truth it could have easily been longer. The exhibition is both fascinating and shocking at the same time when you learn about the life and hardships in the jute industry. Average life expectancy for men working in the jute industry was just 33 years. Well laid out spacious exhibition, lovely cafe for refreshments and light bites, and friendly staff to round off the visit. Very clean and well equipped toilets. A highly recommended opportunity to learn about the jute industry and its role in the history of Dundee.

What an amazing place I used my ticket dual pass from RRS Discovery visited this fantastic museum today a lovely volunteer Alison very friendly and gave a starting tour x then I went to explore wow it is brilliant totally speechless all displays history i learnt so much then Dennis his knowledge of machinery and talking about his work there was magical he was so passionate and grateful to see some of the machinery at work then to the history section going through to present day what a joy . The gift shop , toilets and the food area ( highly recommend the all day breakfast bap and drink) seriously tasty staff all so friendly x I didn't leave til 2 45pm , I didn't drive to the museum as I walked up from the riverside car parks x thanks to all the team for a fantastic day cheers nicki t
Nicola T — Google review
Very good museum! A gentleman in a period costume started our tour in the first room, the followed by a good demonstrations by a former mill worker and a volunteer guide. Amazing to see the old machines still working! I would have bought some jute souvenirs (rather than bags) if there were any! The cafe was really nice, too! The tickets let you have an all-year entry!
N N — Google review
Fantastically presented museum with enjoyable exhibits and a well thought out range of information. The museum has a good balance of exploring the manufacturing processes involved in Jute products, with the evolution of the industry and the lives of those who worked in it. They do a very good job of highlighting the impact of this industry in both Dundee and in India where Jute originates. A very tasteful exploration of both cultures. There are many interactive elements to the museum too, which make it a really approachable and fun place for all ages. Ticket is also valid for a full year which is nice.
Peter B — Google review
A great place to visit if you're in Dundee. We bought a joint ticket with Discovery Point access, which made it good value too. It's a good couple of hours to get round, and it's really interesting learning about the rise and fall of their jute industry. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, and it was great to see the machines running and follow the process through.

The McManus, located in a historic Victorian building at the heart of Dundee, is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. The museum showcases an impressive collection of 19th and 20th century Scottish art as well as European masterpieces. Visitors can also explore exhibits highlighting the local history and culture of the region from ancient times to the present day. Notably, the museum houses a significant collection of Egyptian antiquities from the Pharaonic civilization.
Gorgeous building, so much history of Dundee that I never knew before. Really good representation of the scale of historical inventions as well as the story of Dundee reaching back thousands of years. Well laid out and signposted and great wee booklets giving background to infamous women of time gone by. Recommend a visit.
Lauren N — Google review
An interesting insight into Dundee and it's history. There are other exhibits but it was the reflections on local history that drew my attention the most. Housed in a remarkable building which deserves to house such an important public display. Contrasts but complements the V&A. Dundee is well represented on the cultural map.
Steve M — Google review
This is a wonderful place to visit. Best part being that it's completely free! It's so interesting to see all the cool things they've got on display. Modern and old. I would 100% recommend that anyone visiting/new to dundee, come and give this a visit! P.s. there's way more exhibits and cool stuff than what Ive shown!
E — Google review
I recently visited The McManus and it truly is a five-star experience! I was immediately impressed by the magnificent Victorian building itself, but the collections inside are the real treasure. I loved browsing the beautiful Scottish artwork and felt a real sense of proud history diving into the exhibits on Dundee's past. From the ancient Pictish finds to the city's industrial stories, it’s a stunning, informative, and completely free experience that I highly recommend to everyone.
Malinda S — Google review
A fascinating place that beautifully tells the story of Dundee! The McManus Art Gallery & Museum is an excellent mix of history and modern heritage, showing how the city has grown and changed over time. The exhibitions are well presented and easy to follow, giving great insight into Dundee’s culture, industry, and people. The building itself is stunning — very clean, well maintained, and full of character. The staff are friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions. There’s also a lovely café inside serving good food and drinks, perfect for a relaxing break during your visit. Overall, a must-visit spot in Dundee for anyone interested in art, history, and local culture!
Chathura M — Google review
A hidden find for us as we were in town visiting our daughter and seeing her new apartment. Happened to run into the McManus which was nearby and decided to take a look. We were pleasantly surprised. Had a lot of history of Dundee, the Jacobite uprising, and Scotland in general. People working there were very friendly and helpful. Worth a look if you're in the area.
Dave H — Google review
A beautiful building that looks like a princess should be descending the sweeping staircase outside! Like many buildings in Dundee, you really need to stop, walk around, look up and appreciate it from the outside. There are some flowerbeds outside and also some benches to sit and relax on. Inside over several floors are a museum and art gallery complete with a small gift shop and cafe downstairs on the ground floor. The "Dundee Whale" ie the skeleton of a large whale is one of the most well known exhibits, and a nod to Dundee's historic connections to whaling in the 18th and 19th century. Whaling was directly linked to the jute industry in Dundee for which Dundee is so well known. There are lots of beautiful paintings, art exhibits and a large amount of Dundee history in this lovely building. Pictish stones too. You can easily spend a couple of hours in here, and it is worth doing so. Enjoy.

HMS Unicorn is a restored 46-gun Royal Navy warship that was launched in 1824. It offers displays on naval life across four decks. The ship, located on Victoria Quay, is the oldest still-seaworthy warship in the British Isles and reflects Dundee's shipbuilding heritage. Visitors can also explore other maritime attractions nearby, such as the ice-breaker The Discovery, which was used by Scott on his North Pole voyage. Additionally, there are opportunities to visit St.
Anyone who enjoys seeing ships up close will love this place. You can walk through the entire ship. There’s a fun quiz for children, where they search for answers along the way. It was a great experience — I definitely recommend it.
Zdeněk F — Google review
Brilliant! Unusual museum within the ship itself. Interesting artefacts and fun to go down the decks where each ceiling gets progressively lower. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Sadly not suitable for those with limited mobility. Otherwise, a great find. Recommend
Zee N — Google review
HMS Unicorn is one of the most fascinating and rewarding heritage attractions I have ever visited. There is a really good hands-on sense of engagement for visitors. You are encouraged to lay in a hammock and to sit in the mess deck. As an historic ship, access is far from universal but it is incredibly rewarding.
HistoryNeedsYou — Google review
It’s quite an experience getting to see and explore a ship of this age, in some ways quite surreal. It’s so interesting learning about the different construction techniques and the amount of work that goes into building these ships. You get a real sense of perspective walking around the different areas of the ship as you learn about it. The staff are very knowledgeable and passionate and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the ship or the lives of those who worked and trained aboard. Definitely a place to visit!

Discovery Point is home to the RRS Discovery, a 3-masted ship that embarked on an epic voyage from Dundee to Antarctica in 1901. The museum showcases artefacts and collections from the Antarctic expedition over two decks and a galley. Visitors can learn about the challenging journey through informative films and engaging hands-on activities, such as loading cargo onto a mini crane and comparing the weights of sea creatures.
Was well worth the visit as we got in free to see the ship very interesting and lots of information on boat and in museum. Amazing how much was below deck a must for anyone interested in boats, travel, history.

A nice place to visit, but not somewhere to stay for a long time. Car park was very busy, we were lucky to get a space. Discovery Point itself was fairly quiet, especially considering visiting on a Sunday.
Claire T — Google review
Both an historic ship and an excellent museum, RSS Discovery point is a great gateway into history. There is active repair and restoration underway aboard the ship at the mo, which enhances the experience. The sound of hammering and works by the shipwrights make you experience what it was like when the ship was being built and prepared over a century ago.
HistoryNeedsYou — Google review
A captivating dive into Dundee’s maritime heritage Discovery Point and the RRS Discovery offer a fantastic experience for anyone interested in history, exploration, or maritime life. The museum is well laid out, starting with interactive galleries that take you through the story of the RRS Discovery – from its construction in Dundee to its legendary Antarctic expedition with Captain Scott and Ernest Shackleton. The displays are informative, engaging, and full of interesting artifacts, photographs, and videos that really bring the story to life. The highlight, of course, is stepping aboard the RRS Discovery itself. It’s incredibly well-preserved, and you get to walk through the actual ship – from the engine room to the officers’ quarters and the upper deck. It gives a real sense of what life would have been like on board over 100 years ago during extreme polar conditions. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the hands-on exhibits and the ability to explore freely. Another great feature is the Discovery Dome, which includes an immersive cinematic experience and often showcases large-scale art installations like Luke Jerram’s suspended globe, Gaia. It’s visually stunning and adds a modern, creative touch to the historical experience. The facilities are clean and accessible, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. There’s also a café and gift shop on site, and the location is ideal—right by the waterfront and next to the V&A Dundee and Slessor Gardens. It’s easy to make a full day out of the visit. Tickets are reasonably priced, with discounts for families and concession holders. It’s also worth noting that you can buy a combined ticket with Verdant Works if you’re interested in Dundee’s industrial heritage. In short, Discovery Point is a brilliant mix of education and adventure, with something for all ages. Whether you’re local or visiting Dundee for the first time, it’s a must-see attraction that beautifully tells the story of courage, science, and exploration.

Discovery Point and RRS Discovery This museum offers an extraordinarily detailed look into the history of the research ship RRS Discovery. With numerous original artifacts from the ship and its crew, you can really relive the story (without having to freeze in Antarctica, thankfully). Plenty of text and video displays keep the information flowing, covering everything from seafaring and politics to technology, biology, and modern history. The tour of the ship itself is seriously impressive—it’s hard to believe the journeys this vessel and its crew actually survived. Fun fact: your ticket automatically doubles as a 1-year pass. So if you really love ships, you can come back again (and again). And yes, of course there’s a souvenir shop—because what’s a museum without one?

Mills Observatory, located on the summit of Balgay Hill in Dundee, Scotland, is a historic domed observatory surrounded by lush greenery. It was the first purpose-built astronomical observatory in the UK and offers free admission to its telescopes and planetarium. The observatory features two display areas showcasing historical equipment and space exploration information. Visitors can explore four telescopes, including a Victorian refracting telescope that predates the building itself by 60 years.
A great spot for stargazing with no light pollution! The night sky is truly stunning here. However, it’s definitely more suitable for those driving, as the mountain path is not ideal for walking. The darkness of the small road gave me the eerie feeling of stepping into a scene from a cabin-in-the-woods movie. A fantastic place for astronomy lovers, but plan your transport accordingly!
Junhao P — Google review
Love this place and glad to see it is remaining open. Big thanks to the people who voluntarily work and set up here. I do have feedback however; it might be good to mark if equipment is set up for the public in some way, as multiple times people stood around as if to form a queue whilst we were setting up our own scope. Could help in guiding people around. Thanks!
Ryan M — Google review
Wow, what a great place. Can really only be visited at night time when it’s dark and if there are clear skies. Keep in mind that it’s not open all year round, and it’s run by volunteers and funded by donations. The drive up to the observatory is tricky, it’s on narrow paths, dimly lit and tight if trying to pass other vehicles, but there is parking for around 10 cars. You'll probably spend around 30 minutes to an hour here. The staff are always willing to talk about the exhibts and answer questions.

Lovely staff very informative and attentive. We got to see the moon, 7sisters and orion constellations through the telescops soo incredible and pretty. Its free to visit and you can go upstairs and get the best bits.

We treked there at 8:30pm at night, it was really dark but nothing some flashlights from our phones couldn't handle! The staff were extremely kind and helpful. They showed us around, informed us about the events and interesting things they had in the Observatory, including an asteroid piece that landed near Dundee! The Observatory wasn't open for sky viewing that night but the balcony was open and the staff lended us some binoculars to view the sky. Very kind and friendly service! Would definitely go back again!

A huge thank you to the staff for their kindness and helpfulness. We took 2 toddlers to look at the planets tonight but I think half of Dundee had the same idea. The queues were crazy and although it wasn’t much fun waiting to get in with the kids it was definitely helped by the kindness of the staff, the cleanliness of the facilities, the play stuff for the kids and the views of Mars and Jupiter. The staff went over and above to accommodate the huge queues tonight and really helped me out of a thirsty toddler situation. Can’t thank them enough.

The building's design by Richard Murphy Architects incorporates elements of the city's history while offering an inviting space with ample natural light.
Fantastic building full of interesting little details. I’ve been to a few exhibitions in here but was only passing by in the dark on this occasion. I have to say the buildings quality still shines through in the darkness. A quality piece of contemporary architecture that Dundee should be very proud of for many many years to come. I think the Architects (Richard Murphy) have given Dundee a classic building of it time

Broughty Castle Museum is a stunning 15th-century fortress located in Broughty Ferry, near the Firth of Tay. This historic castle has witnessed numerous conflicts throughout the centuries and played a crucial role in World War II. Managed by Dundee City Council, it has been operating as a museum for almost 50 years and offers free admission. Visitors can explore exhibits showcasing local history, maritime heritage, and the natural environment while enjoying picturesque views of the River Tay and its surroundings.
Went to Broughty Castle museum for the first time since i was a child, and have to say that i was very impressed. Free entry on certain days and a guide takes you underground and gives details about the castle's history. Then you explore the upper levels in your own time. A nice gift shop, very friendly staff and lots of artifacts to see and read about. Lovely paintings in the gallery, and the observation area gives a panoramic view of the river Tay. There is also a play area for kids to play too. I would recommend visiting.
George F — Google review
I would love to give this beautiful castle 5 stars, but it just needs a little touching up. Used to be a military castle, but now houses many exhibitions over 4 floors. The information provided was detailed and interesting with a focus on Broughty Ferry and it's delightful history. Children are able to move about easily in the grounds, and there are interactive things for them to do. Thoroughly recommend a visit!!!
Donna W — Google review
This is a four storey castle keep with history of defensive role in many conflicts. Toilets available and a gift shop. Helpful staff and a children's activity area on one level. Circular staircases. Close to beach for paddle. Free car park close. Town short walk away. Lost one star for no bookmark for sale.
David J — Google review
Really nice castle with a little bit of history on each floor and a gallery. The highlight is definitely the views up and down the Tay from the elevated vantage point of the castle grounds. It's a fortified castle rather than a family pile so don't expect grand dining rooms or anything like that but still well worth a visit. Stars are narrow and steep so be prepared and there's no other way up or down. It's an old castle and that's just how it was built. I've added a pic of the stairs to let you see. I visited on a weekday during school holidays and while the castle wasn't busy Broughty Ferry is a bit of a destination for tourists and people coming out of the city to enjoy it beach so parking is limited when it's sunny. I parked a couple of streets away which due to the way the Ferry is layed out was only a couple of minutes of a walk to get to the castle. Oh and it's free!

We had a blast here with our little son. We almost wore out our swimsuits on the slides—we went down them so many times! The artificial waves were great too! We really enjoyed it. Plus, the entrance fee was very reasonable.

First time swimming here and definitely won’t be our last! The swimming pool has a variety of different areas you can go to and is huge in size! You are given a colour when you enter to change at and when it’s called it’s your time to leave (ideal when you’ve got kids as they can’t argue they don’t want to leave) Kids pool is really good, nothing like that where we live! Only let down was there a few showers not working and same with the hair dryers but that’s not the reason you go to the pool so can’t really complain!
Andrew C — Google review
This review is for the gym only. Only one bench for dumbells. Only one set of dumbbells for each weight. No cable machines for back. Only 2 spots for stretching. Very limited if you want a good workout. Go somewhere else. Only saw cold showers. The worse Leisure center I have been too.

Steph M — Google review
Great pool. Was my first time going there and went with my wife, our 3 year old daughter, some family and our friends. Was 10 of us that went. Little kids pool was great and shallow for little ones and the other part of the pool with the lazy river was good. The siren for the wave machine going on, seemed a bit too much and scared my daughter when it went off. I get why they need it and for the older kids its great but I don't fully understand why it need to be soo loud, specially when the kids pool is right next to it and the end of the flumes is there too. Just a short siren niose with a warning would surely be enough to let people know the wave machine is about to be turned on. The fumes were great and my nephew had a blast on the, although there was no lifeguard or sign at the bottom of the stairs telling people that they can't wear their glasses on the fume nor have them in there pocket, my friend went all the way up the stairs and then was told he can't wear his glasses and had to leave them at the top, so he had to go down the fume then walk up all the stairs to get his glasses to walk all the way back down the stairs again. It is a great pool for family's to go too and kids to play and have fun. The diving pool looked good and the lanes that they had out away for the kids and play pool is good from what my parents said. The changing village was a bit confusing for a first time goer, as told when we first went in that we had to get change in our colour code area but then when we got out and were looking for a family cubicle in our colour code area but there wasn't one, I asked if we were allowed to go to a different colour area to get changed as there was a free family cubicle and was told that you allow to get changed wherever you like, you just have to use the the lockers in the colour youve been given. So that was a bit confusing that two different people as telling people to different things. We would go back but probably not until my daughter is a bit older and can fully enjoy everything this pool has to offer.

As a couple of novice skaters, we were both a little nervous. But we had a good experience for a reasonable price. We hired skates, which were in good condition, and got on to the ice with very little fuss. We had enough space to get a bit of a hang of things and made some progress in our time there. It was a Tuesday so we only had end ice to skate on, which meant it was quiet and I'd highly recommend that day for beginners. If you want to skate get on down here, you'll have a good time.

Amazing piece of history you can get inside and imagine the adventures it has been through. 🤯 The museum sets up the history of the boat and the reason Dundee possessed the skills to produce this phenomenal boat of its time. The links to local boat building, the Jute trade and whaling industry are connected. The boat is great for all ages but note it is freezing inside. Beware in the summer. 🥶😉 We visited at the end of February. A must visit for all Scots who can be proud of this vessel and what it achieved with the brave crew. Do not miss out. This has to be one of the best play grounds in Scotland that I have ever come across. I was already good and then I was further extended a couple of years ago. There are plenty of parking and also toilet facilties available. You will also find plenty of seating in various forms. The setting within the Camperdown Park is also pretty incredible and to just wander through and take in. Top marks and a must visit if you're in Dundee and have young and even toddlers. We were there at 8.30am and it was getting cleaned and tidied up by the council cleaning which was good to see. All the activities the kids went on, 3 yr and 6 yr old was functioning perfectly. Great way to spend a few hours 👍

The University of Dundee Botanic Garden is a stunning 9.5-hectare sanctuary located near the picturesque River Tay in Dundee, Scotland. This beautifully curated garden showcases an impressive array of plant species from around the globe, including indigenous British flora and exotic varieties housed within tropical and temperate glasshouses. Visitors can wander through serene water gardens and herb gardens while enjoying collections of conifers, broad-leaved trees, and shrubs.
Was able to enjoy the garden for a few hours. Don’t think I seen all of it. Beautiful walking around even in the winter. Cafeteria is not open until end of March. But the garden is otherwise open. The hothouse is open and always a treat to visit. Car park is well maintained. I have never seen it full. Seating at the far end of the garden overlooks the airport. Excellent picnic spot.

Beautiful gardens. Deceptively large: perhaps more than you could cover in one day. Lots of naturalised and wildlife friendly planting rather than regimented rows. Staff helpful and genuinely friendly. Take a picnic if the weather is fine!

Beautiful tranquil spot west of the city centre next to airport (which sounds like a contradiction but airport not busy).great for a walk in the grounds and in the hot house. Worth a visit. ATM £5/ adult £4.50 concession.

Really nice and peaceful. Only £5 for entry. Nice walks. Lots of nice trees to look at. Has a greenhouse. Nice Botanic Garden worth a visit. They do not have a cafe. If you stay in Dundee a yearly membership would be good as its a nice quiet place for a walk and lots of benches to sit at.

Well worth a visit. No cafe this year up to now unfortunately. The grounds are a joy. Could have spent hours there.

Visited to see Hen Night Horror. Tickets were £28 very good seats, not far from the stage. Good lighting and sound. All the actors were very good, and played their parts very well, comedy, singing, thoroughly njoyed it. Njoyed a drink before hand, which we were able to take to our seats, also had an ice cream at the interval. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Nice bar area, Will return. :)

Slessor Gardens is a lovely large green space in Dundee that's perfect for hosting big events. It's surrounded by smaller themed gardens, making it a great place for family fun.
Views of the River Tay and across Fife, calming water features, interactive games, cool sounds from the art installations, just a lovely spot to hang out. The coffee and food vans look nice but not open later i.e. 8pm.
Elaine C — Google review
A nice place. An open grass space is most of it, the other part is a series of little gardens. The gardens are pleasant, we were there in April so I suspect the blooms would be greater in the high summer. Some of the gardens are inspired by other parts of the world, though to be honest you wouldn't know that for most of them without reading the signs. The American one in particular, apparently that country is just grass?!! That aside they are nice spaces and on a good day a fine place to relax for a while. Dundee is certainly better for this space.
Drew Y — Google review
Good venue. Organisation and restrictions prevented us from going to the whole day. No entry allowed. No seats? I can't stand for hours at a time and I am sure others were the same so the venu lost out. Dundee is a super city and the whole place was a buzz with the people like me who had to restrict the time spent standing during the gig. Thousands of pounds spent outside slessor gardens, not so much inside. I feel sorry for the vendors.
Murray W — Google review
It’s perfect for a quiet walk, a lunch break, or just sitting in the sun. It’s close to the V&A and the train station, so easy to get to. Sometimes it feels a bit empty when there’s no event, but during concerts or festivals, it comes alive. Clean, well-kept, and great for quick breathers in the city.

Really good rope instruction/refresher session. The walls vary from easy to challenging and I really looking forward to getting a proper climbing session done with top-rope and/or auto-decender. Not tried the bouldering yet... but that is a future challenge. Highly recommend you give this one a try, staff are really helpful and honest with how they review your skill level at the beginning. Dont go here for bouldering its smelly, hot and cramped. Routes very small and hard to find the starts. Staff and regulars rude and very unwelcoming to begginers. Ridiculously overpriced when there's a much better wall nearby

Friendly staff, clean and tidy surroundings are only a few things that make the climbing centre great. There are many more other things too. They conduct training sessions where anyone who doesn't have any experience in climbing can take part. I visited the place on a Sunday and it was quite crowded. But I had a wonderful experience. There is a gallery upstairs where you can watch people climbing. The climbing Centre is located near the hub.

Excellent. With the electric cars, they are a lot quicker. But with the new tyres, I was able to exert out more pace, and with the support the Marshalls and the staff (especially Anden and Megan) the overall experience is amazing

A visit to Dundee wouldn't be complete without a stroll down the High Street, where you can encounter beloved characters like Desperate Dan and Minnie the Minx, brought to life by DC Thomson. This renowned publishing company has been a cornerstone of British comic culture since its inception in the 19th century, giving us classics such as Beano, Oor Wullie, The Broons, and The Dandy.
Rich history full of stories, nostalgia, and community. What a continued, relevant asset to the surrounding area with dedicated and kind staff.

Just along from the Desperate Dan statue is the very impressive headquarters of D C Thomson the very famous Scottish publishing house responsible for many of the cartoon characters of my childhood. I actually had a really positive experience here, was a little concerned by some of the reviews, maybe they have had a bit of an over haul, was spacious, comfortable power sockets for my laptop, and the food and drink was good, I had roast salmon came on the sizzle plate, was lovely. Priced about right. All ordered through the app, quite hassle free. I will admit it's a bit grimey here and there, doors could do with a paint, but good seating outside on a sunny day too. My drinks arrived literally seconds after I ordered them. Staff were friendly. Thanks 👍
Dylan B — Google review
First time eating here, unfortunately it will be the last. Menu online looked good, on arrival we were greeted with a typed menu stapled together(not professional at all). A lot of items not available eg: no steak, mixed grill and tomahawk pork have all been removed from the menu. Dirty sticky table, it was also very cold inside. Dirty fork and the salt would not come out as was damp with ketchup around the top. Service was extremely slow and the serving staff looked like they wanted to be elsewhere. Food was of a low standard eggs overcooked and gammon tough.
Julia M — Google review
We were very pleased with food . Ordered 4 burgers (Greek was yummy) Service bit slow, but girl at the bar warned us that we will wait bit longer. Everyone was very friendly. Very reasonable prices.

Terrible service , went with my wife and 2 sons to have a meal on the way through dundee, my son's mac and cheese was cold and had to be sent back to be heated , also my burger was raw so sent it back and the waitress even said that it wasn't right , when I got it back I checked again and guess what ? Yep raw again , no one came near us to complain again nor did they come back to ask if everything was OK now so we got up and walked out in disgust !!! I for one will not be back ..... also there toilet doors either need a good clean or painted !
Bruce W — Google review
It's a good place if you're after value for money. For a group of 4 adults and 1 child we were just over £50 for food and drinks. The place was understaffed according to the board when we arrived but the service was good and fairly quick considering this.
Callum R — Google review
There was a huge party of us including children celebrating an event. It was the first time I had been so I signed up on their app and received 40% off our meal. The food was amazing, I ordered what I thought was fish fillets so doubled up thinking it would not be enough boy was I wrong I ended up with 2 big bits of fish on my plate. When I finished I asked if I could take one of them home. They kindly put it in a box for me. Would definitely go back again!!!

Hi not my first trip here to weavers mill and since the last time its not really improved much. Meals were nice enough but the cleanliness wasn't the best plus service between courses were long whether it was because we were put in the bar area, plus the breakfast was pretty basic not much choice unless you had a cooked breakfast especially for kids no cereal etc except porridge and jam and toast.. This Victorian-era waterfront spot offers a delightful mix of history, hospitality, shopping, and leisure activities for the whole family. The area features a blend of large shops and hillside houses alongside charming fisherman's cottages on the shoreline, creating a unique atmosphere.
Love this place it has a lovely laid back vibe and is abundant with inpendant shops, plenty of food, and drink options for a huge variety of people. It has that village feeling that made me feel at home straight away. The castle is a must to visit and photo op!! Then there is the beach talk about a bonus. Walking along this beach instantly throws into holiday mode it is lovely, and you don't have to walk on the sand because there is a pavement running alongside the beach. Then, after a short walk, there is a wonder little cafe that makes a mean latte extra shot coffee again fully accessible There you can sit and admire the view .

Great for swimming and sea glass hunting but it can of course get real busy in the summer! When the tide is fully out it's faaaar and if you swim be careful of strong currents with the tide, sea wead and rocks at points! You also have to walk quite far if you have a dog since most of it is a dog exclusion zone

We booked one of their marquees for our annual company BBQ. The entire process was very easy & the staff on site were great. We had a roll delivery come earlier than expected and they took it in for us and called to say it had arrived. Left us to our set up but stopped in to see if we needed help with anything. And we invited them round for food which they took us up on and it was great being able to socialise, even for 20 minutes with them and give everyone a good feed. Would definitely book the space again, perfect if you have kids to your event as the marquee goes straight into the play park.

It was a cold, winter afternoon when Caber and I wandered around the park and we were the only ones there, along with the ducks 🙂 I can however, imagine it's popular in better weather and when the cafe is open. There does seem to be plenty of activity adventures on offer, including fishing. So, definitely worth a visit for families with kids, or those still kids at heart...and a dog walkers paradise. Also a great wee place to have a picnic. There's plenty of parking available and also public toilets.

Plenty of parking for a start, a large kids play area, looking like a fort, information centre, restaurant (if it’s open), walks, water sports, fishing, picnic benches and lots of water. 2 reservoirs and a big natural pond. Lots of birds to see and feed the ducks if you want. The best part for me was walking to the far side of the main reservoir where there is a great view over the Tay estuary to Fife and Tentsmuir forest and sands. We had our packed lunch here before walking round.

Barnhill Rock Garden is a public park extending to more than two hectares It is situated on part of a former nine-hole golf course which was laid out when the Dundee to Aberdeen railway line was built; The Garden was started in 1955 by clearing an area of volcanic rock, which had at one time been the old shore line. Over the years it was extended eastwards over areas which had been sand dunes. In the 1980s, two new water features were added, creating a tranquil environment and a haven for wildlife. It is a peaceful haven with lots of seats to take in the views and enjoy the greenery . Public toilets nearby

Good atmosphere. But the food... pies awful, steak and "gravy" pie had never seen the gravy. It was dry as a bone

As far as premier league standard stadiums go, this has to be one of the worst. Big queues to get in as an away fan. A condemned part of the stadium. One shop open to serve lots of fans meaning a long wait for service. I was in the main stand and there were pillars blocking some of the view and it was £33 for a ticket.
Muz — Google review
Good views, decent legroom but looking very rundown. Away end is manky. Covered in stickers. Only one male toilet open after the game causing queues. Stewards outside are clueless. Asked to check my ticket, showed him the email with the QR code on my phone and he hadn't clue what he was looking at. Always issues with the standard of stewards up there. Cash only at the food stall is another issue. This day and age you should be accepting card and cash.

Run down, old, outdated and fails in comparison to Tannadice.

I love this street in Dundee..two football stadiums on it. Must be unique. Can anyone tell me anywhere else that has two grounds in such close proximity, at either end of the street ? Dens Park is an old stadium but has character. Who can't but have a soft spot for a club that had Claudio Caniggia for a while, before he absconded to Rangers. Dundee were one of the first British clubs to do well in the European Cup losing on aggregate in the semi final in 1962-3 to AC Milan. In the second leg at Dens Park Dundee won 1-0 with a crowd of 35,000. Unbelievable stuff..I can understand why Dundee are thinking about a new ground but Dens definitely has history and everh football fan should make a visit.

The Fun Factory stands out as Scotland's largest and newest soft play area, making it an ideal destination for families, especially on those dreary rainy days. This vibrant venue is designed with separate sections tailored to different age groups, ensuring that every child can enjoy themselves safely and happily.
Fun factory is a very nice place for the kids it has enough space, playing down that your children will enjoy the funny 😁 😂 and ask you for more. My son enjoyed himself, and he didn't want us to leave 💙

Absolutely brilliant, you can sit back and have two hrs of safe peace while your little monsters run riot.... The staff man the safety doors well and are very attentive... My grandsons absolutely love this place.....
Daniel C — Google review
Brilliant fun for small people — our kids had a blast! Nice range of play equipment … and, wonderfully, no loud music pumping out, so grownups can talk to one another over a cuppa whilst the kids play.
Andy B — Google review
Yes it's big but noway worth al that money plus you are not allowed to bring food with you. Ridiculous! They charge way to much for food. And I waited 1h and half for my toasties. Crazy. Not that special to pay that much for it. £27 for 2 kids. Even the zoo doesn't cost that much lol

My wife took our grandchildren here and I followed on about a half hour later, very surprised and disappointed to be asked for £1.50 for an adult’s admission as we have been to a few soft play places and nowhere else charges for adults admission. When I met up ewith my wife inside she told me the price she had to pay for kids meal, again I was disappointed, more expensive than other places, no wonder there weren’t many people in there. I don’t want to to mention the other places but you know who they are and I will definitely be going to them in the future, perhaps you should visit them and learn something from them if you want have custom returning

We went for the first time. My 2yr loved it! Would definitely go with our older ones :-)
Antonia C — Google review
First time here today. It’s a great place for the children to have fun, they had a fantastic time and loved every minute. We were also able to sit and watch them enjoying themselves and have a lovely coffee and cake. There’s plenty snacks, sandwiches, soup and hotdogs to choose from. Staff were also really nice and helpful too. I unfortunately witnessed an older lady nastily and rudely verbally abusing a staff member which was very inappropriate in a children’s soft play area, I don’t understand how some people think that this is an acceptable way to treat staff members especially in a soft play centre in front of young children. Hopefully this doesn’t happen often.

We hosted a 3rd birthday party here and it was brilliant! Lots of different activities for all ages. The party food was pretty good too. Pizzas are hand made in house which was a nice touch. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Really fuss free for parents. It was a bit steep in price.

Donated to the city by Sir David Baxter in 1863, this urban formal park was designed by renowned landscape designer Sir Joseph Paxton.
A beautiful large park with soothing greenery located within 2 kilometres of Dundee City Centre. There is a playpark inside its territory. The park has walking trails for walking and benches to sit and relax.

A beautifully maintained park with something for everyone – history, greenery, and great facilities. Baxter Park is one of Dundee’s finest public parks, offering a peaceful and scenic escape right in the city. Whether you’re visiting for a relaxing stroll, exercising, or spending time with family and friends, this park truly delivers. The park features wide open green spaces, tree-lined walking paths, and well-kept flower beds that bloom beautifully in spring and summer. At its heart stands the iconic Victorian pavilion, a historic sandstone building that gives the park a sense of charm and heritage. It also houses a café and community space, making it a social hub for locals. Recreational facilities are a big highlight – there are well-maintained tennis courts and netball courts, perfect for anyone looking to stay active or enjoy a casual game with friends. You’ll also find a small children’s play area, benches throughout, and plenty of space for jogging, picnicking, or just relaxing. Whether you’re a local resident or a visitor to Dundee, Baxter Park is well worth a visit – a perfect mix of nature, history, and modern amenities.

A nice green park in Dundee. There is a basketball court and a few tennis courts in the park. The atmosphere is great and it has a nice setup for a picnic. Sadly I saw a few dog messes in and around the park and it will be great if the council takes some strict measures to keep the park clean. The courts are crowded during the weekends.

A beautiful park on the outskirts of the city centre. There are wide open spaces for dog walkers to let the furries run wild. The place also has tennis, basketball and football courts. The top end has loads of winding paths meandering through the trees. Well worth a visit if you fancy a chilled out retreat .

The D'Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum at the University of Dundee is a unique attraction founded in the 1880s, featuring an extensive collection of animals and plants from around the world. The museum houses Sir D'Arcy Wentworth Thompson's zoology collection, showcasing a diverse array of specimens including skulls, taxidermy, and preserved creatures. Recently, efforts have been made to digitize the collection, making 3D scans available for download.
Extensive zoology collection for everyone who loves to see what animals and insects are made of. The guides were very friendly and visits to the museum are ticketed. Could spend about an hour here to view all the exhibits!

Excellent museum but has lots of off topic signs about irrelevant topics. I'm here for the animals not to learn about tea plantations! The colonial context is important for the animals but it felt like they went off topic with lots of the info

Great hidden away exhibition that illustrates Dundee's connection with zoology and biology, and sadly, the exploitation of other peoples. Our guide was excellent. Alex was knowledgeable and helpful. I could have spent longer there, but Dundee parking restrictions intervened, as they so often do.

A room packed with surprises, hidden away and open on Friday afternoons in the summer (though the winter would be better!). There was a nice man staffing it when we went. There were games on paper for children to fill in but he was very tolerant of our rather more excitable "Can you find the...." made up game. Considering it's (mostly) one room filled with fairly old and musty specimens it had a nice feeling and afforded a lot of enjoyment for quite a long time.

Dundee Waterfront Gardens is a picturesque spot to capture stunning sunsets, especially from the Green Circular at Discovery Point. The area offers breathtaking views of the Tay River, its two bridges, and iconic landmarks like V&A Dundee and RRS Discovery. Exploring the north bank of the River Tay provides historical significance with attractions such as HMS Unicorn and RRS Discovery.
The River Tay estuary near Dundee has been redeveloped into a lovely public garden and leisure park. The waterfront is more than a mile long. There are benches and chairs and table. So it is ideal for a picnic. The is a bar and cafeteria with ice cream and coffee. They have groomed niches with hedges which make private sitting spaces within the public space. There is a 'tin can' through which two people can talk. There are video games for youngsters. There are medicinal and other plants. There are playgrounds. There are wide open spaces to walk. Lots of people from all ages come there. The only thing that is not there is a public toilet. A lovely vista of the bridge across River Tay. And a scenic look accross the bay of Tayport town is wonderful. Please visit on your way to St. Andrews. It is 56 miles fro. Sterling by road. There are trains as well which take an hour and a half.

Strange little place which comes up at you out of nowhere. It has speakers in the metal part which blare a variety of ocean based sounds at you, from barge horns to whale sounds. The structures in that area are all metal which flowing which is meant to remind if the see (I think). There is also some screens with images from the past, all sea/harbour themed. The little fountains are cool, the size of the spray varies in sequence and there are lights under them, which will be more prominent at night. The garden part seems to be apeing a sand dune area. Parts of it are arty and perhaps went above my head, but it's for sure a nice are to spend half an hour in.

Have a luvly walk by the Tay, see the Tay Whale also watch happy families with children enjoying the Urban Beach and water fountain area. Hire a bicycle if you fancy riding the cycle route. Toilets also there. Walk round to City Quay area. Visit the Unicorn boat. visit the inflatable area. Very impressed with the area. Worth a visit :)

Dawson Park, located on Arbroath Road, is a delightful 48-acre green space that was established in the mid-1950s as a gift from William Dawson. This park serves as a vibrant hub for outdoor activities in the east end of the city, featuring an array of sports facilities including natural grass and artificial pitches, tennis courts, basketball courts, and even a bowling club.
Some confusion has arisen regarding park opening times because it is listed as a park and garden, but the opening times refer to the Demonstration Garden, not the park. There are three main car parks and lots of other ways in a out of the park if you're on foot. The park itself is open 24/7 as are the car parks. The main car park is on the west side in Caenlochan Place. I have been visiting the park for twenty years and have never been unable to get a space there. There's a glass recycling bin there and 2 AC chargers for cars (Type 2 - and you'll need your own cable). Other car parks are off off Strathern Road on the south side at Dunnottar Place, and Ellieslea Road - which is smaller but opens directly into the park with no railings. If you are on foot there's an entrance to the east at Dawson Road / Fairfield Road, from the Abroath Road on the north, right opposite the entrance to Claypotts Park (where you'll definitely not be able to stop or park) and also on the southwest corner (Claypotts Terrace / Grove Road). These tend to be used by locals.

Located on the eastern side of the city, this park is a lovely place to enjoy nature and take a break from urban life. It becomes particularly stunning during cherry blossom season. I really love visiting it during mid-April to take in that beauty. There are several playgrounds adjacent to the park, and Claypott Castle is just a few hundred meters away.

Very dissapointed with out visit over the weekend, full price plus socks for a 7month old that cant play on anything Members of staff to be polite are useless. If there's a problem or request you get a blank look from them like your bothering them. To top it all off there was no coffee available because the milk didn't turn up and almost £2 for a fruit shoot. Shocking! Underground is a vibrant nightclub and bar located in Dundee, offering a contemporary decor and an eclectic playlist featuring dubstep and indie music. In addition to its lively nightlife scene, the venue also offers guided excursions through the city's vaults, delving into Dundee's darker history with stories of murder, riots, and disaster. These tours require advance booking and comfortable clothing, as well as sturdy footwear.
Didn't plan to end up in Underground but the unplanned nights are often the best. The staff were amazing handling the volume of folk at the bar especially Eilidh B juggling the spirit bottles and pouring both hands simultaneously! The place could do with a refurb but I fell in love with the neon!
Rachel L — Google review
Decent staff, decent prices. Got kicked out from the bouncers because I went out for air a couple times (I’m asthmatic). Absolutely disgusting how I was singled out. This club is appalling! This makes me want to give negative stars!! The bouncers don’t care, they will pick on you whether you are drunk or sober and not let you in as they want to “show that they are doing their job” when they are just picking and choosing people because they can. They will kick anyone out the club who they choose. Unfortunately it was me they chose to constantly watch when I was having fun with mates. I would never recommend here after this, Aberdeen underground is much better than Dundee’s underground. Never return or get money from me again! Not only that I will never, EVER recommend to anyone! AVOID!!! THERE IS BETTER CLUBS THAN THIS DUMP!!!
Kieran L — Google review
Within moments of entering Underground I found myself comparing drunk women to baby giraffes learning to walk. I made the decision to wear a high vis jacket on my last visit, next time I will wear a headtorch and bring a loudhailer in hopes of being served at the bar before the club closes.
Herman S — Google review
Have had a number of brilliant nights at Underground during my years at uni. Nicole in particular has always been excellent; whether on the bar, at the door, or manning the cloakroom!
Declan T — Google review
I and my fiance got past the bouncers and went to pay when one of the bouncers came down to say my fiance couldn't get in because he had shorts on. (Last minute decision to go to pub then underground.) So women can wear short dresses, skirts etc but men can't wear shorts? They were just above the knee. They could have went about it in a better way. Although seems we had a lucky escape from some of the reviews.
Megan — Google review
Good prices, nice lightings on the ceilings and nice staff but way too packed on Saturdays, speakers are not good quality. Could be a lot better with a small investment… Still a monument in Dundee tho!
Edouard C — Google review
Me and my partner had valid ID but got refused by bouncer. Honestly wondering how people who can't afford a passport or divers license can get in. Aberdeen underground let us in with young scott ans out of date passport but not Dundees? To add to this even though they have stated they only accept people with driving licence and passports due to a safety issue yet I have seen them accept myself and others in on previous occasions with a young Scot card. Why is it only sometimes but not others.
Emily P — Google review
Disgusting is a word for the whole experience. I have just returned home from Dundee as I was up for the weekend. We had a booth booked and paid £95 for some tramp of a girl to start on my friend and did anyone do anything about it , no! No bouncers , no help , not one person interested. 2 hours later they decide to throw us out when nothing was our fault. Everyone working there is so rude. Obviously not people friendly. They obviously just want you’re money. We are writing a formal complaint and police have been involved also. Wouldn’t waste you’re time in that dive. They need to sort out who they let in and who they employ obviously!

Great space for dog walkers let down by a couldn't care less council with inadequate bins for dog waste, and the few that do exist routinely overflowing. Worse still when the bins are emptied nobody picks up the bags lying beneath them. An asset most cities would envy but in Dundee City Council there isn't a single person who can see that. It's been the same for as far back as I remember (50+Years) The closure of what a leading pro golfer described as "one of the finest urban golf courses in the country" says it all really.

It's recommended to visit frequently and keep an eye out for the terrapin or swans. The park features a large circular walking path that takes approximately one hour to complete. It was cold today, bit the sun was out and little wind. A walk around Clatto is a good way to get out of the house and enjoy the air. I go as often as I can, then try and spot the terrapin or the for the swans. It's a big circle walk taking about an hour. Since the recent storms some trees were snapped by the wind.
