Great coffee in a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We sat outside taking the benches shared with the frozen yoghurt shop next door. This bought a really nice atmosphere to the experience.
We travelled here using the Düsseldorf card (purchased from the tourist office - which includes lots of attractions and all travel and is HIGHLY recommended).
There is a good types of beans in cafe, but it's to loud inside from people, barista and music to discuss something.

This is the best cafe! The most delicious coffee, pastries, but most importantly, the service is unbelievably cool. Probably the best I've ever seen. It's not just a cafe, it's an incredible atmosphere. It is such a positive charge always from the people who work there. For me it's a special place in the city that I always want to come back to. And I always buy coffee to take home, it's the best here.

Excellent coffee paired with a cozy atmosphere. We took a latte art workshop and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The teaching barista was fantastic and took great time to give individual feedback and tips. The time flew by as we had so much fun and I can‘t wait to practice my new set of skills at home. Can‘t wait to come back!

Sometimes I'll take the train for 2 hours just to get a great-tasting coffee with beautiful latte art. I booked a latte art workshop to learn from the best, and it was great. My friend and I learned so much, and now we will practice to become better.

Great coffee, nice atmosphere, the staff is unbelievably friendly. Prices are totally fine and that i say as a poor college student haha! I love coming here with a friend and just chill while observing passing cars or people lol
They also offer the option of replacing cow milk with vegan options e.g coconut milk or almond milk for a few cents or euros (i forgot).

Beverages are excellent! It was one of the best Matcha Latte I ever tried: the taste was pleasantly intense, not just drinking warm milk. Totally recommend! The only disadvantage is tables arrangement. There is one large table and several other seats, but it is not really cozy. It would be nice to change and create space for guests, when they can have some privacy and comfortable atmosphere.
It’s a nice spot that has the potential to be a great neighbourhood spot; perhaps it used to be that. I’ve only lived in the area for two years now.
The majority of the crowd is so focused on coming across as the most interesting person in the room; it’s a bit painful to observe but this also makes it the perfect spot for people watching.
I don’t know if there’s just a lot of turnover in terms of staff; but there are always a seemingly new face behind the counter which also makes it a bit difficult to build rapport in a place that is this local.

The food options are broad enough and more than the average coffee roasters. One can pay by cash and card - so that’s great.
Staff is always friendly albeit some seem a bit distracted. I would recommend to some members though to not assume that people don’t come there often just because they don’t look like the rest of the crowd. ;)
No one really cared about doing real coffee at this place, the person at the cashier was so chilled and i could feel no one here takes their jobs seriously and the coffee (americano) i was served was wack, it tasted like water with no consistency and the glass preferences for the americano is also simply absurd. Would not go again and i think these people should really respect their job and the coffee sector more , just because they have a nice place in their hand doesnt mean they should not compensate the advantages of a good location by low quality work. I added the „americano“ picture here , i did this photo direct after receiving my coffee so its literally new but still the coffee beans, machine and barista was not able to bring good crema up
I visited Die Röstmeister Kaffee GmbH (Goethestraße 83, Düsseldorf) on 23.09.2025 around 12:40.
I ordered two coffees and a Panini Pastrami sandwich. While the drinks came quickly, the sandwich took unusually long. When I politely followed up, the person at the cashier (tall, very tall, curly hair was extremely rude.
Instead of giving me a normal response, he snapped back at me with: “I told you I’m going to bring it to you” - in a tone as if I were his employee. This is completely unacceptable behavior, especially in a café where friendliness should be a minimum standard.
The food and coffee were fine, but the customer service was so unprofessional that it ruined the entire experience. I will not be coming back and cannot recommend this place to anyone who expects respect and decent treatment as a paying customer.
My wife, was all about this café. Claiming that it's the best coffee she had in Düsseldorf and you know what she's absolutely right.
So the first time, I noticed this coffee shop was from the other side of the street where I could smell the freshly brewed coffee ☕️… I then turned around, and I saw the long line of crowd waiting to grab coffee :) Surprisingly, it was a Sunday … that was the moment that I realized this is now my new fav cozy corner in this part of Düsseldorf…

KYTO Coffee Wehrhahn is a stylish coffee shop located in Dusseldorf, offering a variety of coffee options such as Espresso, Cortado, and Cafe Latte. The central location at Wehrhahn and Immermannstrasse near the Dusseldorf main train station makes it an ideal spot to grab a quick coffee or spend some time working on your laptop.
This coffee shop is really good, the location is some step from U-Bahn.
I have buy Latte Macchiato (large) and Carrot Cakes and all is arround 9 €.
They selling ice coffee too (some variants with ice).
This coffee shop give good service for customer likes power station and free wifi.

It’s a nice cute little cafe. I visited around noon and it was pretty empty making it a good spot to work if you’re looking for a quiet place. I ordered a cappuccino and it was okayish - have had better cappuccinos in Dusseldorf. The service was nice. The waiters were sweet and spoke English.
The coffee quality was disappointing—americano lacked creaminess, and the cappuccino wasn’t smooth. The ordering process was chaotic, and the seating was uncomfortable. The design didn’t appeal to me, though the internet speed was excellent. I won’t be returning.
The cafe sits right at D-Pempelforter exit of the subway station, is deeper than it is wide and is really close to the Kamas antique store.
In general the coffee is somewhat okay. Flat white is balance but lacking a bit of sourness. Also the vibe is cool
Excellent coffee for a fair price. Service is very nice and attentive. Place is well connected, ideal for a quick espresso or a coffee to go. The place is nicely furnished but unfortunately not huge and directly at a busy street. Therefore only 4/5 for ambiente.
Good coffee spot but not the best or great in dusseldorf. Great skilled barista with amazing coffee and great food. I like my iced latte with oat milk but would rather go with the smaller size and the larger ones contain more additional shot of espresso that was personally too strong for me.
This is the best cafe in Bahnhof with tasty and fresh deserts + quality coffee. The personnel is always positive and helpful and also so generous with their gifts 😊 dont skip brownie, it goes so well with coffee. Also there are seats available to chill indoor or outdoor👌

A glorious concept with a lot to learn on, especially when you look at the open style roastery - the sound of coffee travelling through the roaster is magnificent. Worth every visit if you are in Düsseldorf.
Careful on your pocket if you are a coffee nerd😅.
P.S.: after you order there is a nice bike rack on the right. Nice to see, sometimes you can see some really nice bikes.

This is my go-to cafe in old town Düsseldorf. Tucked away in a narrow alley, this charming little outfit offers respite from the touristy throngs and a sense of sitting in an outside room. Never boring yet never hectic. A sweet balance.
We’ve been in Düsseldorf for two weeks and discovered this hidden gem in the last five days—and we’ve been going every afternoon since! Honestly, it’s the best coffee in town. The two waiters looked so annoyed when asking them for an iced latte in English which is on their menu by the way. Everyone else was ordering hot drinks so maybe it is longer to make but if you don’t want to make don’t leave it on the menu ! Also the red haired girl was so surprised when I asked for a glass of water with my coffee ? The latte was great but the servers clearly didn’t want to speak English that morning not interact with me! Maybe if your annoyed with tourists putt a sign up on the door

Nice cafe for breakfast/ brunch. While they don’t have pancakes or scrambled eggs k n their menu, their bagels were great and they have a vast selection of cakes.

Simply the best apple tart I've eaten!! This one is named Opa's Apfel with cinnamon, almondnuts and marzipan. I also love that they are very quick with orders! Amazing! Croissant and coffee were also wonderful!!!

Honestly I am always in other coffee in the area but today coffee machine was broken so we decided to try this one… staff is so friendly and place very quiet and cozy. Feels like high end place but with very affordable prices. Perfect to read a book or magazine as 70% was doing there

The coffee, flat white and cappuccino, itself was poorly made, the milk almost at boiling temperature!

The only coffee shop in Düsseldorf that I have found to date that serves Organic coffee. They also roast their own beans and you can buy them if you so like. They have many different types, but my favourite is the Etheopian Bio Organic coffee :)

Located in the premises of a former gas station on Stresemannstrasse, Velvet is a cool and industrial-looking spot that's perfect for lunch in Dusseldorf. While they don't have a daily changing lunch menu, they offer a nice selection of delicious options to satisfy your midday hunger, including a pasta dish of the day and seasonal vegan dishes.
Great spot! We had a flat white and a matcha latte—both were delicious. Later on, some friends joined us and we were pleasantly surprised that they had space to accommodate all of us. Definitely a solid addition to the neighborhood.

Went to Velvet for breakfast on a Saturday, the place is spacious and there was not that big of a crowd around 10:30am. Got their homemade chai latte, and was quite disappointed with the size of their beverages. It seems all cups here, coffee included, are ridiculously small and not particularly cheap, a let down right from the start. We got their French Toast and Apple Pancakes, the first is made with the great bread from Bulle and was actually good, mostly thanks to the bread and unfortunately once again too small. The pancakes were way too eggy and a little bit burnt, all in all it was ok, though I cannot recommend this place, just go get the bread from Bulle and cook breakfast at home. The service was also not all that friendly, a shame since the concept of having a using a lot of Bio ingredients and buying regional is great, but the execution is poor.
I have been in Düsseldorf since 2 years and recently moved to a new house that is close to Velvet. On several occasions I used to walk past not understanding what was the fuss all about, given the place seemed packed and give this super happy vibe.
I decided to walk in after 2 months of not understanding the decor etc…
And I am a true blue convert!
Several things stand out:
1. The decor definitely looks low effort but goes well with making the space more open
2. Staff - no words can define how easygoing and hence welcoming the staff is! They always have this most amazing smile and are the sweetest to accommodate my dog
3. Pet friendly - they always are kind to offer a dog water bowl when asked.
4. Drinks - are amazing!! Maybe on the expensive side but I don’t mind paying for the vibe + the taste + the service
5. Inclusive - the moment I stepped in I realized what was so special for me at the bar. It is the this mind your own business and easy going place with an amazing staff that keeps the happy feelings but in the kindest way

Eggs on toast were a bit sad. 2 eggs and bread… nothing more.
Menement - instead of sesame rings got basic bread, and realize it later…

We had a hangover-curing grilled cheese sandwich and an apple pancake so big the plate could barely contain it. And finished it off with a crumble cheesecake. All thoroughly delicious.
The pride of Korea, kimchi, paired with a sandwich? Honestly, it’s a combination I’d never imagine back home, but my curiosity got the best of me and I gave it a try. To my surprise it was so delicious. Kimchi sandwiches truly deserve way more fame. The coffee was nutty and tasty too, a good match.
Not only is the food great, but the interior is also stylish and modern. I couldn’t help but wonder if every hipster in Düsseldorf hangs out here, it certainly feels that way. After spending some time at the café, stepping right next door to browse the clothing store made the whole experience simply PERFEKT.
Lovely industrial interior and friendly staff, great for breakfast, kids friendly. Eggs on Toast were amazing, as were the sardines, croissants, French toast, lemonades. The highlights were the apple pancakes and the cappuccino, could not get enough of it.
About as overrated as you can get. Apple pancake was tasty but was it 11 euros tasty?
Filter coffee was good but it was good because I had to put 3 spoonfuls of sugar. Also should you pay 4 euros for a filter coffee? Doubt that.
Cute place and service is nice once they get to you but way too expensive for what they offer. I would never come back.
EDIT: it is undoubtedly hip and trendy but when it comes to quality it does not deliver for the price.

One of the best coffee roasters in Germany🇩🇪 Have been tasting coffees all over Europe and I can say you should order your coffee from here as they have online website as well to order coffee beans 🫘 I am personally using their coffee beans as well but on the day of my visit I really didn’t like how they prepared the coffee! Excellent cafe located in a quiet quarter of the city near old railway tracks. There's ample patio seating along the railroad tracks (or even on the tracks). The coffee is excellent which is roasted on site with a good variety to choose from. The staff are very friendly. There's also a small selection of food as well. Excellent way to spend the weekend. The coffee is excellent!

Not too bad, not too good. The hot chocolate had a good quality but was a bit cold. The furniture was too old and with lots of scratches.
This Woyton doesn’t take card payment which of course you only get to know after queuing. Such an inconsistent chain considering Woyton Schadowaracde does!
Street is ugly with incessant car traffic, but inside it's the usual quality and service of a woyton. Great pastries.

The sandwich as well as the little breakfast were both delicious. High quality bread - it was definitely standing out as it is unusual nowadays. Coffee was also very good. The waiters gave us an English menu she was very sympathetic as well as gave us great recommendations for our breakfast. Overall we highly recommend this restaurant in Düsseldorf.

Rude staff.
We managed to order drinks, but the waiter/owner(?) for some reason was really annoyed with us and didn‘t hesitate to show it. We also wanted to order some food, but he just turned away and left, even though we said that we would like to order. We had to leave, because we were completely sabotaged for an unknown reason.
They may have good coffee (this I don‘t know and will never know), but rude attitude.

This Cafe sits in a cute little Plaza near the old town. Geologically it’s not too far away from the Old town. But it has escaped from the noise and tourists. The little sculptures nearby provide some charm and calmness. I ordered salad with salmon which came fresh. The service was friendly but slow. There were only two waiters to serve almost 20 tables on a Sunday afternoon. And they did not take credit card.
Nice interior and good coffee. Went there a couple of times. Recently, the service became kinda slow. Maybe just bad luck, but last time we waited about half an hour before we decided to order (and later pay) at the counter. Still, we will visit again.

I’ll definitely come back to Düsseldorf just to try more from this menu! We had to wait a bit in the queue, but were lucky to be seated at the bar right next to where the chef was preparing all the food—it felt like watching a high-rated movie while having breakfast!
We tried the bruschetta, which had a unique twist on the classic recipe and was really tasty, and the eggs benedict were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Service was quick, and the waitress was kind and friendly. The coffee was great, and the carrot cake and banana bread came in generous portions with nuts, banana spread, and caramel ice cream. Highly recommended! (And apologies if we bothered the chef with our curious looks!)
One of the best cafes in Dusseldorf, I usually go to this cafe every time I come to this city. Excellent management with unique coffees and of course reasonable prices. The cafe's environment is very cozy and enjoyable. Be sure to try it.

The coffee itself was missing the smooth buttery taste I have come to love in specialty coffee, but every cup is going to be a bit different on the amazing custom manual espresso machine they use.

I visited this cafe on a Saturday morning during COVID times. The place was little crowded and there was a queue. The person behind the counter was very polite. I ordered cold pistachio latte, it tasted very good. Apart from coffee they offer different kind of cakes and croissants. The place looks big and has a nice ambience. It would be a nice place to hangout if indoor dining is allowed. I will surely visit this place again. I would definitely recommend it.
We took a hazelnut Latte and a Latte Macchiato. Both were subtle in flavour, not so rich, relatively good coffee but nothing extraordinary. We also tried their chocolate orange cake that was indeed sweet.
I ordered a brownie and a Matcha soy milk latte (already sweet).
I felt lightheaded afterwards because I had consumed so much sugar all at once that my blood sugar level spiked, insulin was secreted in large quantities, and my blood sugar level suddenly dropped.

I visited on Saturday afternoon, the cafe was very busy and full, but despite the fuss, I was immediately asked if I want to sit inside or do take away and I got my coffee a minute after my order 🥹 and a very nice employee found me a sit (I shared a table with another girl). The coffee was great, and I'm happy the place gets the recognition it deserves!

This place is always full and for a good reason. The coffee is delicious, the staff are very nice and knowledgeable. They sell coffee beans and grind them per purpose (mocha pot, espresso machine, etc) you can purchase any size (from 50 grams), and you’ll always get the most honest advice.
Crowded cafe with nice staffs. Cappuccino made me quite disappointed although too many people came and buy coffee seeds, so I might be bad luck with my coffee. Banana cake/bread was ok, honestly it wasn’t fantastic and fresh.
For 2 cappuccino and one banana bread we paid 11€, the price was reasonable.

I came here twice with cappuccino and food to go. Very tasty coffee and chocolate cake/ croissant. The atmosphere looks good too. The service was fast and friendly. Will try to dine in next time to really take my time to enjoy the coffee and the atmosphere.
I honestly don’t understand how this place dares to call itself a specialty coffee shop. They roast their own beans and claim to be experts, yet the coffee tastes like nothing more than liquid bitterness — harsh, flat, and completely unenjoyable. To make it worse, they serve it scalding hot to the point of being undrinkable. This isn’t craftsmanship, it’s negligence.
And the cups? Whoever picked them clearly never tried to use them. The handles are so tiny you can’t even fit a finger through, meaning you’re forced to burn your hand just to take a sip of this abomination.
As if that wasn’t enough, the atmosphere is ruined by the roasting machine at the entrance that emits a constant low humming noise. Instead of creating a cozy vibe, it makes conversation unpleasant and the whole place feel like an afterthought.
If you’re looking for a good coffee experience, look elsewhere. This place is all style in marketing and zero substance in execution.
I don’t understand why this place gets such good reviews. The cappuccino was absolutely not nice: the espresso tasted bitter and the milk was burned. That was definitely not the quality one would expect from a coffee roastery.

We had a fantastic brunch at Birdie & Co in Düsseldorf. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with calm music that makes it perfect for relaxing over coffee. No surprise the place is always packed.
The service was outstanding – special thanks to Nele, who was super friendly, attentive, and really made our experience memorable. The food was excellent: their Eggs Benedict were absolutely delicious, and the coffee was spot on.

The food was quite good for breakfast and the service quick. We went early and it was easy to have a table but later people has to wait. It is veryl well situated in the old town.
Quite a nice cafe with lots of seating and a varied menu. I wasn't overly impressed with my eggs Florentine sadly - the spinach was bland and the eggs were a bit rubbery. The one piece of thin toast cut in two was also a bit measly for the price. My friend had porridge which she said was delicious though!

They are not fresh pressed! Might as well buy it at the supermarket. Smoothies? Pre- prepared mix frozen. Really disappointing. On the plus side: staff was nice, if a bit inexperienced. The room is nice and pleasant and clean. I will not go back.

Although the place was quite busy when I visited (we had to wait about 10 minutes to order), I was a bit disappointed with the matcha itself. I have had good quality matcha before in Japan and I was really looking forward to this, especially given how popular the café seemed. However, the flavor felt a bit flat and lacked the smooth, rich depth that good matcha usually has. It didn’t have the balanced bitterness or the creamy texture I was hoping for.
The presentation looked good but for me the taste is what matters most and it just didn’t quite deliver. I’m glad I tried it, but I don’t think I would wait again for the matcha alone. Maybe next time I will try the cheese cake.

We found this place by accident and wow, it was amazing!!! I love coffee and it’s not often I try a coffee now and think it’s so good that I must buy the beans. Well, this place was exactly that. I ordered their batch brew which was Brazilian, and it tastes so good I drank the first one so fast I had to order another cup.

We are fortunate to have found this lovely café that is open on Sundays. It is tastefully decorated with minimalist yet cozy vibes.
We enjoyed our latte and flat white, and the pistachio cruffin was excellent, they used pistachios paste for the filling. This is almost as good as the famous pistachio cruffin by Saint-Jean in Amsterdam. The barista’s latte art is impressive, especially since the flat white is served in a bowl-like cup.
You should drop in for a cup of coffee if you’re nearby. They offer a good range of filter coffee.

The staff also has the passion for the coffee and he provided me with some choices before I made up my mind. He is very friendly, polite and patient.

A true gem for specialty coffee lovers. ChatGPT suggested it for me as a visiting coffee lover. The variety of lightly roasted beans from their own Roastery and guest roasters are fantastic. I had their beans from Colombia with an experimental process, Sweet Cantaloupe, it was incredible.

They have their own pastries which were made to perfection. I’m a sucker for pistachio so I am biased, but the pasty was fluffy, flaky, soft and delicious so I think it’s not just my passion for pistachio.
Cannot recommend this place enough, well worth the walk. Also accessible by public transport or this e-scooters.

Amazing place for German cakes, breads, and pastries. I couldn't decide which to have so picked two... Life is short, and I'll walk it off!! The latte coffee was good too. The Cafe decor and ambience were nice, too, with an option to dine outside if so desired. Prices are also reasonable, with my two generous slices of cake and my large latte costing just €12.90 My server Herr Efeler was also a very pleasant guy. I recommend a visit, especially if, like me, you love cake!
We arrived the store very late, only had 30 mins for trying the amazing cake, we came here for recommended Black Forest cake, unfortunately it was sold out, although we missed it but that was definitely our wonderful moment in this trip, the dessert and wine was so beautiful.

Konditorei Heinemann is THE café in Düsseldorf, or so the locals tell me. Needless to say, it did not disappoint. From soup to nuts, the food is delicious. And their store sells sweets and chocolates that make great presents (if you can resist eating then first).
The best Black Forest cake I’ve ever had! Friendly service, plenty of tables, and a big menu with lots of options — there’s something for everyone here.

I asked for a heavy cocktail. They brought me a cocktail which not only not heavy was but they charged extra ( for the extra alcohol). The salad was good . But anyway it is not a place for me to visit again
Nice for breakfast or brunch meets with friends and/ or family. Quality of food is good and I can recommend pancakes here - at least that’s what I had and it was really good. Service was good but it was very hectic and bus that day so you could tell they were stressed and were not the friendliest. But overall a good experience. If it is busy some tables are really close to each other so the seating is very crammed.
A relatively nice place to try. I was recommended by a friend to try Löffelbar, and the food was ok. Ordered the egg Benedict and a set called Hägar, Hägar was better due to the variety of food in it. Benidit was ok, but cannot rank top 5 at my list. The service lady was nice but maybe too busy and took some time to order. If you come at weekend, better to reserve beforehand since it can get very crowded.
I was just passing by through this Bar and loved the various tables places outside the Bar. It looks good, also I passed by during day time. Though I have seen it busy and full, especially during evening times and weekends.
The breakfast here was made really well. Lots of taste and flavour. Poached eggs were made just right. I got the Eggs Benedict salmon and friends got the Eggs Benedict avocado - we all had a positive review of the food. The coffee was also fantastic.
If you are into MSG and Maggi, its your Place to be. You literally smell it down the whole street.
If you want your food to taste like it is and spiced well, you have to find a different place.

I had an experience that wasn't entirely positive at Kit Café in Düsseldorf. Although the atmosphere is very pleasant and perfect for spending a relaxing time, the service was disappointing. I ordered an espresso to go, and while the coffee itself was good, the staff - particularly the two girls working behind the counter, one at the espresso machine and the other at the sink — were unengaged and lacked any warmth. There was no friendly greeting, even though I said "Hello" when I entered. They simply waited for me to place my order, and the atmosphere they created was cold and devoid of positive energy, especially since there wasn't a rush of customers. However, I do appreciate the beautiful environment and the excellent coffee they offer, and I hope the service improves in the future to match the quality of the place

They are opened on Sunday. The location of the cafe is great, close to the center. They have a lot of salty and sweet options. We had all of that for 18€ it was really great and the guy in the service was pretty nice. We were grateful that he also speaks english. The place also has really nice toilets and at least early in the morning they look really clean. They are also pet friendly.

Love this place and their coffee. They have a changing assortment of sandwiches, small dishes and cakes, which are usually good. Sometimes it’s very crowded and noisy however, which makes this not a good place to work. The opening hours could also be a tiny bit longer ;)

Good Coffee from a brand new la marzocco linea pb2, my favorite machine. Dark coffee beans, not too flavorful, a tad too bitter for my personal taste but small cappuccino balance out the flavors perfectly.
Good breakfast deals on weekends with eggs and baguette and salmon, healthy bowls or juices and organic lemonade and teas. Cozy tables outside that catch the morning sunlight and let you start the day in a blissful way! Recommended!

Chill small spot! If it’s busy you’ll need to have a little bit of patience cause it’s a small spot with one barista, however worth the wait and super friendly barista, giving us a very homey and kind service.
We went there the 5 of us for brunch and had the matcha pancakes and different of the sandwiches. (Zuchinni and avokado and tomato pesto) we all enjoyed it! And then they also have this fresh juices.. we had the orange spice!!! Yummm.. deff worth it to come again.
Had a late breakfast here of tomato Mozarella toast and a pancake, together with coffe made with almond milk. The food is excellent, the service good and friendly. We sat outside on the pavement - the only outside table, there are a few more inside.
This will definitely be a permanent fixture on all future visits to Düsseldorf, can't recommend it highly enough.

Really nice place. Workers were super friendly. My girl liked her coffee but not the bread thing she ordered was really dry.
The baristas and cashier were really nice even though the place was even with a queue outside and they were working nonstop. Coffee is good and strong. They did a latte art even when my order was to go, which is not that common (in my own experience) :)
This place is redefining coffee, one of the best places to savour coffee. I've visited this cafe multiple times by now and I would vouch that they maintain the same taste at all times. One must try their Latte Macchiato - absolutely invigorating and their Banana-Blueberry cake - delicious yet subtle. The staff speak English and they seem very friendly (on the contrary with the other cafes).

Café Nikan is a great place to relax with a cup of coffee or cake. The service is friendly and welcoming, and they speak English. The cakes are very tempting, and I'll try them next time.

I'm not sure why I hadn't discovered this lovely Cafe in all the years I've come to visit Düsseldorf. Just down the road from mi sister's place, it's by chance she remembered I was looking for a coffee house gem. The owners are such beautiful people and not only was I excited by the vast selection of coffee, but to witness the process of roasting ... the scent of fresh roasted coffee ... amazing!

The place is cute and has a very nice inner yard. We came here for breakfast and the food was decent but the service needs to be improved: we waited for our food for more than an hour! We were with the kid who started crying because he was so hungry. Only after my husband approached the staff, they brought us part of our order. There were 2 sets of cutlery on the table and 3 of us, so my husband asked to bring additional one…well, that never happened… at the end he went to the free table next to us and took it himself. We also ordered tea and coffee which never were brought, so we just paid for what we have eaten and drank and left

This is a small place, but the cakes are good. The staff is super friendly. The ambience is very nice to have a nice coffee and hangout. However, the coffee could have been a bit better though, but the cakes covered that.
Tip: If you have specific cake type in your mind, better to give them a call before visiting.

Very nice atmosphere with a great interior decoration at a very central location. I guess it was previously used as a store that sold cosmetics and soaps, which is where the name comes from. They also have a glass cabinet where these sold items from the past are kept in the corner. I really liked the place, and would like to go back another time to sit outside on a summer night as well.

The restaurant by itself a nice, calm place with a good atmosphere without any negative parts at all. The only thing which kind of made a difference is a price for a plate of food which is totally doesn’t equal for price it made (English breakfast)
Price which is there doesn’t equal with little amount of ingredients which is in result dish. The sausages are extra small with two pieces of grilled bread with a piece of butter between of them. Overall the dish tastes good but price of 16.60€ is not really fair here.
i had the pancakes with cream. was a tiny bit disappointed. there was a bit too much of the cream (not as in their own pictures, where it looks more neatly put on the stack of pancakes). the overal presentation was a bit sloppier i guess. for this price i also expected a bit more berries - i asked for some extra, as a supplement.
the fresh orange juice was very expensive, but nowadays it is - sadly - expensive everywhere. i did get a big glass.
the atmosphere is great though, it’s a very cosy place to sit and i loved the decorations.
it was nice for once but i’m not sure i would go back.

The place with no reservations, but we had to wait in a queue only 10 minutes, which is not that bad for Saturday morning. The described concept and menu were so promising, that’s why I give only 4 starts: the expectations were high. Food is nice, I took the variation of English Breakfast and cold cappuccino with rich milk foam. But somehow it was just okay. Maybe next time we’ll try the specialty of the place - pancakes 🥞. The staff is very nice and speaks English.
The place is small and quaint. Their coffee is really good. I got cappuccino with oat milk and I don’t regret it. We also got Blueberry cheese pancakes which were a little bit dry at the end but tasted good with the berry sauce and cream. The avocado toast was good but the bread was toasted way too much which made the whole thing a bit bitter. Although the grill cheese sandwich was top notch.
This was my second visit to Seven Sundays, and I must say this time the food was great this time round! The paleo omelette was tasty and filling, as was the Reuben sandwich. We came at a busy weekday lunchtime so we had to line up for awhile, but I think it was because it was understaffed as there were quite a few tables available. Best to come when it's not during peak dining hours. Service was still very good considering the rush, so props to the waitress and manager for that day!

Newly opened coffee shop on an already busy street with much competition has it's only little niche. The service was very good, the coffee excellent and the cheesecake is highly recommended. Cozy little cafe with delicious desserts and coffee. The owner was very friendly. I have visited this cafe lot of times. They serve very tasty bagels along with vegan and vegetarian options. We visited recently on a Sunday morning , it was not that crowded. We ordered a cappuccino and latte macchiato along with two vegan bagels. Bagels tasted great. Both coffee tasted good. Definitely recommend this place.

This place is incredible - a fabulous mix of things to buy, eat and drink. Highly recommended. I suspect that this is where the cool people meet and relax… it definitely had that vibe to it. If I lived I the city I’d want to be a regular visitor.
We also travelled here using the Düsseldorf card (purchased from the tourist office - which includes lots of attractions and all travel and is HIGHLY recommended).

I do not recommend!!We bought precut papaya cup from this stand for our child,the upper part was ok, but the bottom part went bad and tasted sour. My child spilt out and tipped over the cup. However the owner claimed this is how papaya tastes and we should not eat anything if it’s bad already! Worst of all, the staff at the counter across the stand, also accused us that we should not eat if’s bad. It was like being attached by a gang. It ruined our experiences at the market

Very disappointing. After giving a negative review these people still show unprofessional behavior in their response. That's just another example of their bad and shocking customer behavior.....
They are really not good in what they are doing, the service was great 2 years ago, now it's all bad. The host drinks are always a little cold and the ordinary food they sell is heavily overpriced....not recommended for anyone. The concept needs improvement at all ends...
Every time I've gone I've had a great time. Last time I went for a VR session, the headset didn't work for my friend. They moved us to another room and let us play past the closing time. Excellent customer service.
A great experience with VR gaming as a group. Fun games to play, good instruction and location. A promotion gave option to play two games for the price of one.
Amazing experience. We played the Escape from the Pyramids and it was a lot of fun. Super easy and the game is well developed. You really get sucked into it and don't even realize the time go by. It's definitely something you should do!

This was a lot of fun. I'm no gamer. Last console I played was the Super Nintendo. Despite this the VR game was so much. Being in the VR world felt so real! This is definitely an experience you should try. We played the Halloween Horror game, a shoot-em-up game. I also want to highlight the great staff. Their English was impecable and their knowledgeable of gaming, VR and willingness to explain was high. Only thing I can complain about is the price. 18 euro for 20 min of VR gaming (30 min if you include instructions and testing) is a bit steep for regular visits.

Sadly, already several times in this particular location different waiters have added some ‘extra’ to my bill of what was NOT ordered. I like this place, but becoming less loyal. A fact that this situation is a kind of ‘normal’ here is really upsetting. Since they give a receipt only if you ask for it, it’s very easy to add those extras here and there. Please see a receipt attached: I ordered a small cappuccino with normal milk, but they added an extra €1.7 via tiny manipulations, it’s not a lot, but super annoying that they keep doing it.
Nice little cafe for breakfast/brunch. A lot of varieties in the menu. Vegan option available. Very good and delicious. The coffees were great. Washroom was clean. Friendly staff. However, the service was a bit slow. Maybe because there was just one taking orders and for paying. Overall good experience. Would recommend if looking for somewhere for breakfast in Dusseldorf.

I recommend the blueberry pancakes, it’s my favourite :) also really enjoyed the pulled salmon bowl, very delicious. Coffee is nice too, and I had it with oat milk.
Staff are friendly and the place has nice outdoor seating. The only thing that I don’t like is every time I have to wait for 30 min for the food.

They offer a variety of breakfast items, bowls and cakes. I would have loved to try out their pancakes but I just went for some cake. The vegan carrot cake was a bit dry but I was happy that the cake wasn’t too sweet and the taste was still good.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I just wish they would have cleaned the table.

Great place for brunch in Düsseldorf! Interior is very chill, the atmosphere is cool. The food was tasty and beautifully presented, the staff were very friendly, and there are tons of vegan/vegetarian options! If you have a slow, chill morning to spare, I highly recommend this café!
Delicios food and coffee, fresh juices are also a blast. Service very friendly, but waiting time is a bit too long, we waited half an hour while being very early with few other customers (hence a four star rating).

The service is friendly and the prices are high, but the café's specialty is its excellent Schvarz coffee. The cafe also offers snacks and pastries that are very niche, making it a great place to visit if you're looking for something special.

One of the best cups of coffee in town, that being said it also one of the most expensive ones, that is one of the reason for not giving the fifth star the other reason is the small verity of pastries, the few they had were very niche.

A gem of a cafe! This small cafe has a beautiful interior and has freshly baked pies and cake desserts (today there is more than 12 to choose from in the display alone). There's a small patio in addition to the in door seating which is excellent for the summer. The service was excellent!
Of note, they do not carry soy or lactose free milk.
