Visited in March 2013 - I slipped in at the very tail end of Sunday lunch, a lucky seat on a coffee table in the corner while families lingered over their courses. The room buzzed with three generations sharing the ceremony of weekend dining - a joy to watch as much as to join. I went straight for their signature raviolini with pecorino and pear, a dish flagged in Frommers and Lonely Planet. It was almost perfect: pasta delicate, pear subtle, pecorino seasoning just shy of brilliance (9.5/10). Lamb chops with artichokes and rocket brought good quality meat and crisp coating, though it wanted more seasoning; the artichokes were spot-on (8/10). Dessert was Laura’s recommendation - raspberry cheesecake, creamy yet sharp, crumb with a hint of savoury, a lovely close with espresso (8.5/10). Coquinarius hits that balance of stylish but relaxed, where you can watch the rhythm of Florentine family life unfold around the food.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So glad we found this place during our Florence stay! The atmosphere is warm and intimate, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was fantastic. The pear ravioli was as delicious, and unique. The filletto was the best steak I ate while in Florence, and the seasonal mushrooms were a solid add-on.

I wasn't very impressed by this place, it's definitely very geared towards tourists. It was a recommended restaurant, but I found it to be lacking. The menu was limited the food was mediocre. The food felt very heavy in my stomach even the next day and I did not enjoy it. It seems the owner does not like when people leave honest reviews, even questioning whether people actually ate there or not, but I can assure you that I did eat there and you probably shouldn't.

We came to here for dinner. The atmosphere was great 👍 The swordfish carpaccio, paired with salad greens, fresh fennel, and pink grapefruit, was exquisite — the peppercorns added a delightful burst of flavor with each bite. The main course, Millefoglie di Cecina, a refined tower of codfish layered with chickpeas, spinach, and a velvety purple cabbage purée, proved to be another remarkable surprise The beef tenderloin, paired with foie gras, created a perfect harmony of flavors on the palate

While everything here was good, the pistachio ravioli was the strong standout dish for me. Great service too, and a charming interior

For some reason, I kept seeing videos of All'Antico Vinaio pop up on my social media, and luckily we were able to check it out in Florence. When we arrived and saw the line stretching down the street, we really hoped it was worth the hype. And it absolutely was! This has to be one of the best places for a quick and delicious sandwich in all of Italy. The service is incredibly efficient, and the line moves by so fast that you'll have your amazing sandwich in your hands before you know it. If you're in Florence and looking for a quick, delicious lunch, you need to check this place out. Don't let the line scare you—it's part of the experience and it goes by quick!

Can't believe i didn't know about this shop when i stumbled upon it. Saw a crowd moving towards that direction and felt something. My group was hungry and decided to follow the crowd. And woooow we were decently surprised by the queue and googled it. That's when i found out about this world famous joint. The sandwich was worth the 20mins wait in the queue. Had time to look at the menu anyway. Had a great sandwich full of meat for dinner. Had to share with a friend cause i can't finish on my own, it was that big. There are drinks, limited seats and table in the back of the shop and upstairs too, but eating it on the street had a different feeling. 5 Star and a must eat on my list when visiting Firenze.

I've been looking forward to trying the famous schiacciata sandwiches of Florence, and so I thought it was best to try the most popular one: All'Antica Vinaio. There's a long line even late in the afternoon, but it moves quickly and we got to order in about 10 minutes of waiting. The servers were very friendly, and they had our orders ready in a few minutes. Each sandwich was huge—enough for two people to share one. The filling was very good and delicious, especially "La Paradiso," which had generous slices of mortadella and slathered with creamy stracciatella cheese and pistachio cream. However, the schiacciatta itself was tough and hard. No matter how good the filling was, it was still a pain to eat it. I couldn't finish the entire sandwich in one sitting, so I brought it home, stored it in the fridge, and ate it the next day. Guess what? The bread became softer and easier to bite through. I enjoyed it more the second day even if it wasn't made fresh anymore. 😅

What a sandwich!! So many flavour combinations that they have. Try something different, you won't regret it. The lines can be long, and it's worth the wait. Don't wanna wait too long, skip breakfast, they open at ten! People making the sandwiches are having fun. We couldn't finish it all at once, a great snack before dinner. Recommended!!

My husband and I ate here for lunch on our first day in Florence! It was a last minute decision because the sandwich shop we were going to go to turned out to be closed on Sundays. Luckily for us this worked in our favor! The line was very long, but the staff is so quick with their service and it moved very fast! I ordered the paradiso and recommend it to anyone that stops by!

The best sandwich in Florence. There will be a long line but it’s worth the wait. If you can get there before peak times the wait will be shorter. Everything is fresh, and the only downside is I didn’t have enough time to try all the different sandwiches.

Please feel free to scroll right past my 3 star review and onto the tens of thousands of 5 star reviews… my husband loooooves a sandwich and put this on our must visit list while in Florence. We came on the early side around 11:30am and got through the line in under 15 minutes. There are 3 separate lines that you can get in so the operation is pretty efficient but once you have your sandwich there is almost nowhere to sit. You will see people with their sandwiches all over the place for several blocks in the vicinity. We ordered the Dante and the Inferno and after one or two bites we tossed them and moved on. It seems like they are known for their creams but the truffle cream on the Dante was so rich and completely overwhelmed all the other flavors in the sandwich. The Inferno was just bland, the eggplant was not even a little bit spicy and the whole thing just wasn’t great. I know the internet loves this place but our experience was pretty underwhelming.

It was our first snack we had in Florence. It was an amazing choice to kick start you day with one of those. The flavour was good even if you are not friends of inserts. It was rich in flavour and soft in texture. The staff was also very nice and helpful.

Good place to try lampredotto. I was fully happy. Came here twice to try lampredotto as plate dish and as sandwich. Liked it both times. Tasted good at this place. I think it is recommended somewhere because there are a lot of Asians. A lot a lot. You can sit there but the atmosphere is not good. But as a quick bite I can fully recommend it

Cheap and plain food. We ordered the “menu of the day” not hoping to get any fancy meals, something simple but well seasoned at least. All the food was dry, the amount of sauce was almost non existent. Tourist trap for sure

Absolutely delicious! Was walking from the train station towards our hotel and saw a small lineup of people in front of an unassuming sign. We stopped and googled the spot and read the reviews. We decided to stop and wait the 10 minutes to open. So happy that we waited. The food was delish. They don't take reservations and only open for lunch, so come early. Totally worth it. Not fancy. Simple delicious food and full of character. Both from the servers and the decor. We loved it so much that we came the next day as well but had to wait 45 minutes.

Lunch only, best trattoria in Firenze. My wife and I first came here from a recommendation in 2012 and had a memorable meal. We have returned to Florence just to let our kids taste this restaurants Florentine steak and it did not disappoint. The perfectly cooked steak with strong charring is hard to compare to other restaurants. Our steak was 1.1kg and fed 3 of us with a side of fries for the kids. Tearattoria Sergio Gozzi has been operating since 1915 and the restaurant charm is the simplicity and authenticity of Tuscany. Service charge is €2/person and we'll worth it

Wonderful find while wandering through Florence. We figured it had to be good if they had a line of people down the street waiting for it to open. We were not wrong on our assumption. We had some wonderful ravioli, mostachili. My son ordered the largest steak I have seen and it was amazing! It is only served rare, they bring out the steak so you can see the marbling. We enjoyed the Chianti great food and atmosphere. Definatly stop if you are in the area. Highly recommend!!!

Another amazing food experience in Florence. They are open for lunch times and it is not possible to reserve, so you may have to wait. Food is traditional Italian and is so good. Prices are reasonable and portions are perfect. Wine is good too.

The absolute real deal. Was recommended this place from my local tour guide, he comes here with his parents. I see why. Super authentic, and tastes absolutely homemade. I had the ribollita.. delicious flavor and I ate every bite. Also had the ravioli (ricotta and spinach) with meat sauce. Ravioli was a slightly salty for my taste, but the meat sauce was fantastic. So much depth and flavor. Finished it off with the profiterole, which was so yummy: homemade and super high-quality ingredients. My accompanying cappuccino was a little strong, I prefer more milk, but otherwise I will absolutely will be coming back here next time I come to Florence, and will be recommending to anyone I know visiting.

Some of the simplest experiences can be amongst the best…..like getting a ham, cheese & tomato sandwich served on a fresh crusty bread roll, from a tiny modest store in an obscure location near a market Florence. Served by the outgoing and personality-filled owner Marco himself, it was a delicious sandwich but an even more memorable experience. The €1 glass of rather ordinary wine was the icing on a very fun cake. Definitely worth visiting.

Delicious, seasonal sandwiches that hit the spot and set you back just 4€ (and 1€ for a cup of house wine to wash it down). Super cute little place with four stools next to the counter where you order from the chalkboard menus. Right across from Sant’Ambrogio market, a bustling side of Florence that shouldn’t be missed. The owner/sandwich-maker is the most charming, polite Florentine man ever.

A can’t miss whether living in or visiting Florence. Tiny place to grab an innovative and great tasting 5€ sandwich with southern exposure (on a day with sun, an even more fantastic place to be) to watch the activity at the Sant’Ambrogio market. Wash down your sandwich with one or more 1€ glasses of white or red wine. I love Semel. You will be taken care of by the owner. A really mice guy.

My partner and I first went to Semel a couple years ago and at least monthly even now they sometimes just randomly ask "Do you remember when we went to Semel?" For them, the pear/cheese/truffle sandwich is top-tier and the one they will be thinking about on their deathbed.

What a shame our last night in Florence was our worst meal. The server, Anna, was clearly trying her best but they were so poorly understaffed and the other staff there seemed unwilling to assist. Dinner took 3 hours without reason. The last place I had 3 hour service involved 2 rounds each of starters, first course, mains, plus dessert. Here we had 3 rounds total. We even had to get our own plates for the olive oil since Anna was the only server and had too many tables to handle. The food was also imbalanced - the spaghetti too salty and the addition of the anchovies rendered it practically inedible. The stuffed rabbit had gristle and bones which wasn't expected considering the way it was supposedly prepared. Overall, eat somewhere else since (reading other reviews) it depends on the staff for how your evening will go.

Awesome place! Staff was great and the food was delicious. We ordered de ñoquis, the boloñesa and a tuna salad perfect for the hot weather. The street is very cozy and the patio perfect for an afternoon lunch. We repeated! The food was so so good and the servers make you feel more than welcome! If I lived in Florence I would definitely be a regular!

High quality food in a beautiful space. Recommend the steak, burrata with grilled vegetables and potatoes paired with a local white wine. All gluten free and delicious.

The food was underwhelming. My cod had a bit too much salt. No one else felt that there was anything particular about their dish. Perhaps the tastiest thing was the crostone with brie, honey, walnuts and pear, although come to think of it, I didn’t perceive any pear when I tried it.

Cute little spot conveniently located before heading up the hilltop. My husband and I arrived about 8:40pm and most of the patio was already reserved. The waiter was kind enough to invite us to sit at a patio table with a later reservation (as long as we didn’t sit past 9:30pm). We ordered pate on toasted bread as a starter then a plate of ravioli in a white sauce topped with walnuts, as well as the stuffed rabbit with roasted potatoes. The food was very good and prices very reasonable. The prices were actually really great for the look and location of the place (dishes from 3€-15€). The wait staff was also nice. There are also tables inside as well. Bathroom is clean too!

Really sweet staff and good food! I was delighted to find my favorite wine by the glass on the menu, and the food was delicious. I wouldn’t order fish here because the menu says it might have been frozen. Otherwise, this enoteca should be more popular! A lovely experience.

I randomly went into this after seeing a crowd waiting in line to get inside.. fortunately they had a place for one, but don’t push your luck, better reserve a table if you’re planning to eat here.. I ordered Florentine Steak (1 kg), that I had shared with the couple on the next table! It was a fun experience! The steak was good, but to be honest, not the best I had ever ate.. not even the best in the city.. I want to love it but I’m not sure whether it’s worth a reservation to this restaurant.. anyway the waiter was very friendly and the place was nice.. I’d come again but I’d get something else! Many intriguing Tuscan dishes that interesting!

This is a must visit place in Florence! Fantastic food, great atmosphere and welcoming staff. We walked there exactly at 7:00pm for their dinner time without knowing that a reservation has to be made. The staff managed to get us a table within a couple of minutes, we were truly thankful. The food was fantastic, their pasta and sauces are just delectable. Their tiramisu was divine super light and just the right amount of sweetness after a hearty meal. Everything they serve, you can tell that love was added to their recipes.

This place was really authentic! We saw so many locals eat here which is definitely a good sign. We got some anchovies, the t-bone steak with some potatoes and salad, and a tiramisu. Everything was pretty good! I think my favorite thing from the whole dinner was the tiramisu. Service was good. The restaurant was pretty busy so everything took longer than expected, but it wasn’t really an issue, because we were just enjoying the atmosphere of the place! One of our best dining experiences in Florence. This is a long-time trattoria that's popular with both locals and tourists, so expect a long line for dinner. We booked a reservation, so we didn't have to wait (thankfully!). The food, ambience, and service were all outstanding. Pasta are made fresh, menu items change with the season, servings are generous, and all dishes are full of flavor and delicious. To top it all, the prices are very affordable (bistecca alla fiorentina is only €50/kg). Thanks to La Casalinga for a memorable dinner!

Came here due to all the good reviews and talks about how this is a very authentic place Was extremely pumped to try Ordered Florentine steak and marinara pasta ….soon greatly disappointed Two other people next to us also ordered the steak One of which we struck up a conversation with because he saw us picking at our steak and told us he was also very underwhelmed with the food The other group next to us didn’t even bother to finish Marinara Pasta 2/5 Nothing special, pasta noodles way too soft and very underwhelming. Definitely had way better pasta. We were recommended by the person sitting next to us to go to Trattoria Sabatino instead. Glad we went for dinner! Way better! Florentine steak 55euro/kg and minimum purchase of 600grams. Expensive compared to other places. Nothing else to say besides…. 🤢 bad. Might be rated at the top of one the worst steaks I have ever eaten. I had 1/3 of my steak and stopped wasting my stomach on bad food.

We made our reservations two solid months before we arrived in Florence and its a good thing that i did. In his confirmation reply, he suggested that I remind him a few days before and cautioned me not to be late or I would risk losing my spot. I reminded him 4 times. When we got there he pointed to the sign that said they were booked for the day and we were 10 minutes early! So I reminded him that I made reservations 2 moths ago. He stopped and said, "Are yiu Michael?" "Yes, I am!" He shook my hand and welcomed us in happily and sat us at a table. Bistecca alla Fiorentina is legendary and Trattoria Mario is the place to go for it. The hand cut and chop the bone to order. You can hear the ckeaver hitting that bone because the kitchen is semi open. You can see and hear and smell what is going on in there. You order, they bring out that raw porterhouse, 1 kg or 2.2 pounds, I approved it and 10 minutes later we were eating the best piece of beef that I have ever eaten, cooked perfectly rare! Delicious and definitely worth the 2 month reservation. We planned our activities in beautiful Florence around this perfect meal! Thank you, Mario and staff!

Incredible hole-in-the-wall with authentic food and experience. We had the bolognese and Florentine steak. The pasta sauce was incredible - such a rich flavor. The steak was perfectly seasoned, if a bit on the rare side. We were lucky to get in for lunch without a reservation. It's not a big place, and the waiter said they are always full. We would definitely come back the next time we're here.

The food is good but I had better fiorentina. Service is good and quick like they are ready to send you out for next customer. It’s not a place you sit down and enjoy meal. It’s more like you sit and have a quick meal in my opinion

I'm a bit of a steak snob and stopped ordering it out as it's usually disappointing. The T-Bone here is amazing! Super soft inside, wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked which to me should be how every steak restaurant is. Came out rare. Very friendly and accommodating, managed to squeeze us in for an hour but would recommend pre booking a spot. Wish I'd come here earlier in our trip as I've only eaten the steak an hour ago and already want more. Various size steaks so if you want a bigger one ask for it, ours was 700g. Also had the meat pasta which was also delicious and the best one of our trip. Paid around 51 euros for the steak and pasta dish which I think is excellent value

Crowded, squeezy and small tables. Do order the steak with zucchini. We had a 1.3kg bone in for 4. At €70+, you have a heart serving of a very good steak. However, if you like your meat medium, this is not the place. The cut was around 1.5 inch thick. While it had a good char, much of the center was raw. I would much prefer it not so thick and I get an even amount of charred and raw meat.

Truly amazing service by Mario’s familia! They were so sweet and friendly and the steak here was soft. Thought the steak would be too rare and tough but it tasted perfectly cooked and delicious. Had a nice hard sear and well seasoned. The tomato beans were also so comforting and tender. The place is quaint but bustling, felt like the real florentine deal!!

Good pizza, not life changing, but it’s still good. Got a margherita - crisp and fragrant skin, fluffy and soft inside, fresh toppings. A great standard of what pizza should be like. We came 5 minutes before opening, got a seat first and ordered rather quickly! I would not want to queue for this.

Dough is ok, not very fluffy though; no fresh mushrooms on the pizza (but mushrooms out of a can) and cheap ham, cut very thick. Pizza looks nice but I’ve had better pizza at home than here and did not like it at all. Would not go there again. Outside seating is super loud with traffic right next to the tables.

This was my favorite pizza of all time back in 2010. I’ve had 15 years to taste many others and it still is in my top 3. I got the basic Margarita and the sausage and mushrooms. They were both delicious. I usually hate mushrooms on pizza but they were so fresh and good I ate the majority of my wife’s pizza. Pro tip.. get in the take out line and save a ton of time waiting in line. We took ours back to our ABB and enjoyed it just the same. This place got mega famous and you will wait at least 20-45 minutes in line anytime between opening and 9 pm. Went at 3pm and there was no one in the take out line. Went got our pizzas in under 10 minutes!

All our pizzas are delicious.. there was a wait about 30 minutes to get in. If you have a large group take turns beating in line while you get a drink across the road :-) I only complaint with the place was that it was extremely hot and there weren’t enough fans in there. Take a foldable or hand fan with you if you go there in the summer.

Ordered the Calabrese and Gustapizza (per the waitresses recommendation). The Calabrese was incredible from start to finish. I’ve never had a better dough in my life. 10/10. Gustapizza very underwhelming. For that being what was recommended, kinda crazy. 6/10. The reason for the three stars is just the inconvenience of it all. Arrived at 6:40, sat at 7:10. Didn’t get served food til 7:50. Over an hour all-in just isn’t worth it for this experience. PRO TIP: order to go, the line moves wayyyyy faster. maybe if we would’ve done that, I could see it being four stars.

My friend promised me this would be the best pizza I ever ate and she was correct! We went twice on our trip. The line moved quickly and we were able to enjoy a beverage from GustaBar while we waited. The inside is very warm on a summer day so bring your fan if you plan to be there during that time. Otherwise the pizza was phenomenal.

We had an amazing dinner at La Ménagère — everything from start to finish was perfect. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere is stunning, with a beautifully curated interior that blends elegance and creativity — we especially loved the charming flower shop inside, which added such a unique and romantic touch. Walking into your restaurant was like walking into an enchanted boutique store which served food and drinks and soothed the eyes with the colourful products...the decor was truly exquisite and the high ceilings and archways added so much history to the ambience...The hostess was extremely professional...the Limoncello Gin drink was absolutely fresh!!. Being a vegetarian I enjoyed the sage and asparagus agnolotti...so much flavour!! We also enjoyed the jacket potato and truffle!!The staff was very professional and made our evening memorable ♥️♥️ Thank You🙏🏽

Cute place but I don’t think the food is worth all the hype at all. Local guides were right. Try to get a sit near the piano as it has more natural light coming out of a dome. I had the pancakes with fruits. Make sure you order the syrup on the side coz it’s very sweet. The smoothie was not as tasty I wanted

The restaurant is absolutely stunning—so fancy and beautifully designed, with a great atmosphere that feels high-end but still welcoming. The food was delicious, and I’ll definitely be coming back. It’s not just a place to eat, but also a lovely spot to socialize and gather with friends. You can even buy flowers or candles, or simply enjoy the live piano music, which adds a special touch. We came on a cool September night and sat outside while we enjoyed some cocktail. Cool jazz and r&b soul music. The vibe here is impeccable, from the decor to the music to the energy of the space. We ordered the Royal Garibaldi, and it was fresh, crisp, and so balanced. Definitely a step up from your usual spritz, it’s complex and bright, just like the atmosphere. If you’re in Florence and want to soak in an unforgettable evening with great drinks and even better vibes, this is the place. Can’t recommend it enough.

Favorite meal—loved the stuffed zucchini flowers and meatballs, stewed rabbit was delicious, pasta was fresh, house wine was tasty. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy. Every table around me also ordered it without the same song and dance. Only run out for non-locals? Then they recommended a stuffed potato filled pasta with porcini mushroom which was stuffed with SWEET POTATO which they didn’t mention and the flavour was just….so so. I didn’t see a single other table order it… read into that what you will. White house wine was awful, I had a sip and left it. They don’t offer glasses only a carafe which is kinda cheeky for lousy box wine. Servers acted friendly, lots of Italian spoken around me. No limoncello offered, despite other tables getting some. Disappointing to be charged 44 eur for an underwhelming meal which was largely vegetarian.

Seriously considering going back to Florence just for this place. We went twice because we loved it so much! We tried the cheese platter, the Tortellini di Patate, Raviolin « Plin », Beef sirloin, Eggplant parmigiana, Polpette di Bollito, Canellini beans, tiramisu and raw cheesecake and literally everything was awesome. Every bite of every dish was 10/10, PLUS the restaurant is so cozy and the service staff is amazing, but i do recommend getting a reservation!

We had zuccini flower with a ham - so godlike; it’s perfect for a starter, and truffle pasta with salsiccia with onion and truffle ia a very nice combination and don’t forget to order a cheesecake, it’s also a masterpiece. Our waiter Marco was a one in a thousand - cheerful, happy, helpful and lightened up our day!:) highly recommendable!:)

This is my favorite restaurant in the world. I have eaten at 3 Michelin starred restaurants in the USA and Europe, great street food and everything in-between and nowhere have I found such a great mixture of true hospitality and food quality. Owner/chef Damiano has built something special that is authentically Italian and, if you are open to it, will make you feel at home. Personable service and uncompromising ingredient standards combine with technique to provide you with consistently satisfying meals. I have eaten here probably 50 times over 14 years and have never had a disappointing dish, let alone meal. I recommend coming during at least two times to find some favorite dishes and get to know the staff a little bit. Highlights- Antipasti: Tuscan pate, eggplant parmigiana, braised beef croquettes, fried zucchini flowers, truffle omelette Pasta: fusilli with sausage and truffle, potato filled pasta with wild boar, ricotta ravioli with sage, anything with seafood, cacio e Pepe filled pasta Secondi & sides: great Bistecca but I usually get the smaller filet, rabbit, fried potatoes, spinach Dolci : They are all good but do one thing- order the tiramisu

Perfect authentic pizza rolled and made fresh in front of your eyes! The manager is so friendly and welcoming we loved chatting to him. Came back two days in a row 😍Small sizes €8 and regular size €11. Definitely ask for the special pizza of the day/week!

I could easily write an essay in how much I loved this place. Starting off with an amazing owner/ Chef who speaks fluent English with the loveliest Italian accent you can have. He is very nice and talkative and loves to make convo while doing you pizza. His recommendations were SPOT ON. The pizza was one of the tastiest I have ever had in my life and not just Italy. Very authentic, very fresh ingredients. I would def recommend going there after a long morning in Florence for some rest and lovely food and finally an amazing conversation. I would 100% go back to this place if I am ever back again in Florence. The owner also offered us a dessert on the house as soon as we were done with our pizza, which was very generous of him. Never had such hospitality in Italy Absolutely recommended!!!!

Perfect crust, top-grade ingredients, both traditional and creative combinations. Great location on a quieter street one step away from all the tourists. Luca cannot be more kind or joyful. We love it so much we stop for several times on each trip to Florence!

Good fresh simple pizzas in a small family ran eatery. Maybe six 2-person tables and a few counter seats but the food and owner/cook are the stars. If need a bite and drink to escape the Ponte Vecchio shopping crowds, go here

Mangia Pizza was a great find while exploring Florence. The service was amazing and the staff were very friendly, giving the place a welcoming, local feel. It’s the perfect spot to grab a quick, tasty bite of pizza while sightseeing, and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

Had a yummy #4 pizza from here recently for €11 (regular size), following a recommendation by one of the staff. The dough is thin, crispy and oily, and the toppings are very flavoursome. It was nice to watch the chef make the pizza efficiently right in front of us, and the whole process was very quick. We went at lunch time and there was enough seating inside, but it did get busier when we were finishing up. Would recommend this place for a quick lunch if you’re in the area! Unfortunately when we were there there were some tourists who ate before us, who were quite rude to the staff regarding payment that wasn’t received - the staff and owner handled it very well though given the circumstances

I love Brac! It is such a cute, relatively tucked away bookstore and cafe spot in Florence. They have great coffee and food options! I got a chocolate apricot cake the first time I went and it was very good. Additionally, there is a lot of seating inside which makes it a really nice place to sit and read or chat with a friend. There is also a little outdoor area with records you can look through. I highly recommend!

Awesome food. Came in a little late around 15:00 and the kitchen was closed but they asked me if I really wanted some veggie pasta. They made the most awesome fresh pasta I had in Florence !!. Also there was a birthday the same day and they so they also offered me a free slice of chocolate and apricot cake and that too was super delicious. The staff the food and the vibe of the place just made day :)

Marvellous food! I’ve visited seven years ago and it’s still as good as I remember. Out of the box and delicious food, yet earthy and without frills. I like that you can combine strong contrasting flavours on one plate. I also enjoyed the wine. The only thing that didn’t convince me was the cake I had, it simply lacked flavour. With more vegan dessert options (tiramisu, mousse or panna cotta), this place could be up there with my favourites. The atmosphere in the dining area is intimate and cosy. The front of the restaurant/café is embedded in a beautiful bookstore. I hope they stick around for longer!

Tried a couple of times to get in here and couldn't, so if you're passing by- do go in and book. We finally got in for a late lunch, and were so glad we did. We both had the primo unico- which is a plate of their salad, primo and secondi courses together. The salads were really tasty, especially the apple, cabbage and pomegranate one. The pastas too were superb, and especially the linguine were outstanding- this dish was so layered in spices and herbs it was really incredible. The star of it all may have been the seitan masala though- a brilliant, creamy sauce and really tasty seitan. The majority of the Al a carte menu is vegan, which only a couple of options that are veggie, so id highly highly recommend this place. It's a great place to sit in too. And lovely wine.

The food was delicious and the staff were so nice! We were one vegan, one vegetarian, and one carnivore. We all had a wonderful time The three-dish plates were 20€ each, with regular dishes being about 12-14€. Cake was 6€ and we shared it. We each got a glass of delicious wine for 7-8€ The products they use are very fresh, and the cooks were having so much fun in the kitchen. The whole experience was very enjoyable and we will definitely return there before leaving the city!

Food was really tasty, we had the pasta of the day and the masala seitan, the passion fruit coconut and peach cake was incredible too. Staff was super friendly and accommodating considering we didn't have a reservation. The only thing I would say is the portions are a little small and left feeling a little hungry. Would come again though!

A lovely spot on the river. If you are like us and have been stuck on purely pizza and pasta in Italy and want something different, or you've only got a short stop in Tuscany, I can highly recommend this restaurant. We had the 5 course Tuscan degustation and it felt like the perfect slice of Tuscan food. The drinks menu has some thought behind it and the spritzers were yum. Their Italian fusion menu items look very interesting if you want a bit of a mix up. The waiter was sweet and kind and offered suggestions and answered all of our questions. Highly recommended.

Service was a little bit confusing when I got there but I’m afraid it was just because it was a little bit late (10.30PM), so then fully understandable. I had a Farm Burger made with Tuscany Wagyu and was super tasty and well done. I also got a cool impression on the way they bring the drinks – rocks etc on the glass and the liquid in a small bottle. Super original, congratulations. The only point I’d raise is that a medium rare burger I asked, came actually too raw.

This place was recommended by someone when I started my trip in Florence (literally on the 1st day). To me it was extremely important to find a place with a great atmosphere, because I was celebrating my birthday during my solo-trip. The staff went above and beyond, not just in the quality of the food and its drinks, but also by how kind and helpful the staff was for a special occasion like mine. Needless to say I made a reservation that I attended at the time of this review, and another one for my last day in the city. Beyond all the places I liked from Florence as a foodie, this is going to be my forever favorite spot, and one I will always want to return to if I happen to be around. As a bonus, I was also given recommendations about places to visit during my stay. What else one could ask? Overly satisfied and content with absolutely everything! 11/10 recommend

I had the best simple breakfast and everything was supper fresh straight from the farm. I like the concept as it’s pretty unique. And I had the best pancakes ever in the whole Europe and complements to the chef who even brought me tiramisu sauce to try with the pancakes 🥞😋👌🏻. The service was good also

Stayed at the hotel and was able to enjoy a fabulous farm to table breakfast. The scrambled eggs nice and fluffy, the bacon thick and fully cooked and delicious. We had a couple cups of cafe americano. A bowl of fruit and then a yogurt and sweet pastry’s were just delicious… the staff were warm and friendly. A wonderful way to start the day!!

We just bumped into this restaurant while we were all very hungry for lunch, it looked nice from the outside to we went in. The place is really cool, young great stuff, great ambiance, interesting menu, where you can find a variety of food styles, small cores or big ones...prices are reasonable and the service was just great!! We really enjoyed!!!

Nice looking place with an interesting and diverse menu. We took ravioli and beef pasta. The food was good, even if ravioli was not very generous in portions. Waiters were the most average and cold. It was hard to get their attention and they looked obviously unhappy when we returned what was average and stiff bread slices (served in a paper bag).

Tiramisu is the BEST in Italy!! INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE! Food is out of this world! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is our second time in Florence. Our first time in Florence (September 2022) we ate here our first night which had our standards for the food in Italy sky high for the rest of the trip! The second time around (June 2025), we had just as amazing of an experience as the first time! My fiance had the lasagna, and I had the tortellini. Both dishes were incredible! We also had the Caprese to start, wine, and, of course, the BEST tiramisu in Italy! We have tried tiramisu in Rome, Lake Como, Venice, Cinque Terre, and a few other cities, but none stand up to this tiramisu… order 1 per person, don’t share!! 🤩 All of the staff is very kind, and Stefano is great and fun to talk to. Stefano’s wife hand makes all of the desserts and does an incredible job!!! We are so excited to come back on our next visit to Florence!!

It was marvelous! The food was very good, the meat was excellent we weren’t very hungry but still it was amazing. The tiramisu was homemade, you can feel the attention and love put into it. Highly recommend it 🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️

Went there for lunch and it was the best meal in Italy so far on our trip. We had the ricotta and spinach tortellacci with tomato sauce, the 1 kilo bistec fiorentina, the house red wine, tiramisu, cappuccino - all for a little over 100 euros. The quality was excellent and the waitress was so simpatica.

The pasta was disappointing. 2000% Overcooked and the sauce was tasteless even though the mushrooms could be fresh and good. I could make this thing in my home when i just started cooking. The signature toast had good toppings. But the toast wasn’t toasted. So they were not crisp at all. And they were without oil and cheese as dressings. As bad as any complimentary bread. The mozzarella and tomato were good. But i suppose it was the food’s own taste. Btw the waiters were understaffed.

We celebrated our first and last night here. The food is delicious and the service was quick. We sat outside the first night and dined indoors our last night.

Favorite meal in Italy! Was in Florence for the day and stumbled upon this place before we headed to our Tuscan wine tour. The spicy spaghetti was delicious as was the house wine. The restaurant has so much history and the service was amazing. 10/10

My vegan partner found this place on Happy Cow and it was quite close to our hotel. It lived up to the billing. The food and service were both excellent. My partner had the seitan stew and I had one of the daily specials (beef and mushrooms). If you're looking for an excellent experience overall and require vegan options, check this place out.

Great traditional Tuscan food, with the master touch from Chef Picchi who created this Trattoria. Very unique dishes from Firenze culinary tradition, improved by a great touch of creativity/ but just enough to preserve the original recipes. Great staff, all waiters speak great English… you will greatly enjoy. I am a chef myself and I was born in Firenze, you can trust 100% my comments!

We had a great quick lunch here. They do not serve food you would find all over Florence for tourists like pizza and pasta. But serve what we feel is more authentic Florentine fare. The chicken meatballs was the real star of the meal, they were tender and the pomodoro tomato sauce was a great balance of tartness and sweetness. We will definitely visit again just because of this dish! The veal tripe salad was quite light and refreshing and had a light pickle taste that we liked. The vegetable lasagne and beef stew compared to the rest of the dishes were quite regular but still really yummy. All in all it was a wonderful and tasty meal, we will definitely be back the next time we visit Florence!

Where locals go! Outstanding! Try the bacalao de la cassi and lasagna. Small locale with friendly staff. A short walking distance from the Central Market. Seating inside and outside. Recommend reservations or walk-in before 2 pm. Highly recommended

The food was good, not remarkable but good. The reason for the review was the service. We ordered 2 appetizers and 3 entrees to share as a party of four. The staff acted upset that we asked for things to be brought when ready so we can share. I think they interpreted that we meant everything at the same time. But even still it shouldn’t be a particularly big deal. They treated us rudely for the remainder of the dinner.

La Trattoria is very cozy and nice for lunch. I would definitely try the other Cibreo establishments but they are all around the same corner. In a less touristy neighborhood of Florence which is great as well!

The Trattoria is the second Cibrèo restaurant we try (they have three different types) and we are again more than happy with our decision. It's a great example of local cuisine with different daily options, surprising and making the choice even harder. Both times we visited we tried different dishes and we were happy with our choice. I'd recommend the succulent tartar, the cold veal tripe salad (surprising and tasty), and the pesto lasagna from the main menu. If there are pork liver with lemon and veal with tuna sause in the daily menu, do try them! Ask for the pear cheesecake from the desserts. It's not on the menu but if they have it, it's great - refreshing, not too sweet but with memorable pear taste. The service is very attentive, patient and friendly. We didn't have reservations but the place is small so it's a good idea to call in advance. The prices are reasonable and perfect for the quality, food, authentic atmosphere and service we got.

Nice place to come - the coffees were super interesting. I had a passion fruit coffee, which I've never heard of before. I'd definitely recommend trying their more interesting coffees. Their food was also really good - perfectly cooked pancakes! A good amount of choice, although €19 for a sandwich seemed a little excessive. I had to knock it down a star because, when we went to pay, we asked to split the bill and the waiter rounded up to make it easier for himself. This was really odd and meant we were paying more than we should.

Visited Ditta Artigianale, a well-known café in Florence located on Via dei Neri. We chose it for breakfast since it opens quite early, at 07:30, which was perfect before starting our activities. At the time, we had to wait a little and were put on the waiting list, but it was worth it. We ordered a cappuccino and a flat white. The flat white turned out to be one of the best we’ve ever had, while the cappuccino was also excellent. To go along with it, we tried their pastries: a Danish strawberry pastry and a Pistachio croffin. Both were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delightful. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely a place we’d recommend if you’re looking for high quality coffee and pastries in Florence.

Very cute place and atmosphere, excellent almond cappuccino as well. The croissant was ok, a bit average to be honest- staff were excellent! They don’t allow laptops just in case you want to work there for an hour or two - just FYI

Coffe and pastries are good, but don’t order the Benedict eggs. They are horrible! Hard boiled eggs that are overpriced, very disappointing, plus no sides just the eggs. This was the most horrible breakfast experience, we were looking forward to have the Benedict’s, never thought Italy would have bad food. Our bill was €42… most expensive breakfast without meat.

Great place to grab coffee and breakfast. You can take it standing up or to-go, or you can seat a table. We had delicious coffee and breakfast here two days in a row while staying in Florence. Our server Mauricio was so good and so funny. He is a hard worker for sure!

Location wise this is a great spot to have a little rest before seeing more sights. This coffee shop is nice and efficient, make sure you checkout the takeaway vs dine in queues. The pastries are top notch and the coffee is great too.

Visited 3 times, each was fantastic food and wine, love they support small Vineyards, and serve fresh quality delicious bites alongside the wines. Staff is very friendly. Tight seating quarters, but if you enjoy Italian wines, its the best!

Recently I was part of a group of 9 and Ciro was our gracious host for an 8 wine blind tasting apericena experience in the new tasting room. It was spectacular! The new space is gorgeous, the selection of cheeses were heavenly, my partner and I couldn’t even pick a favorite as all 8 were equally delicious. Ciro was a perfect host, clearly a well trained sommelier; but was able to translate his knowledge into an easy to digest format for less experienced wine enthusiast along with weaving in the stories of the producers. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite wine bar in Florence by far. I will always make the trip. Reserve a day in advance if you want to sit outside or get seats at the bar walk in if they have them. Ask for a recommendation based on what wine notes you like or to pair with your food. I’ve never been disappointed, in fact my mind has always been blown. Friendliest service, wonderful atmosphere. Also, inside has wifi and AC, which was unexpected and so refreshing on a hot day.

If you love great wines and good food, there is one place you have to try in Firenze. This one The best experience is to sit at the bancone and watch the magic unfold. Passionate owners, the crostone are to die for, everything is absolutely perfect.

A hidden gem in Florence! Cozy spot with amazing service and a unique selection of Italian white wines you won’t easily find elsewhere. The crostoni and food were delicious. Staff was super friendly. My friend’s family owns a B&B nearby and always recommended it, now that we tried it, he’ll recommend it even more!

Fantastic find near the Ponte Vecchio. It's quiet enough and away from the crowds. They have an updated wine board with their offerings and a knowledgeable staff to recommend them. The food (we got the Italian meat and cheeses combo) was a great addition. Would love to cross the bridge and enjoy more of it anytime.

We came here to have an afternoon drink and it was a very good choice - a typical italian wone bar, with cheese and charcuterie plates to share. We tried 3 different white wines and the price was quite reasonable! The staff was happy to help us. The italian cheeses we tried were also very good and filled us! Very nice place to go at the end of the afternoon.

The best ice cream I had in Italy! All the flavours were very strong but delicate, natural, and not to sweet. The ice cream was super smooth and took more time to melt than an average ice cream.

Shopkeeper recommended Rice and Almond Biscotti for 2 Distri (4 Euros), which was very delicious. Subtle flavour and not too strong. Rice is slightly chewy as there's rice inside. Just the right sweetness for a refreshing afternoon snack.

Best gelato we’ve had during our Italy trip. Flavours were strong and felt like eating the actual goods in gelato form. We had the pistachio and dark chocolate.

The first thing I do when I start researching our vacation spots is look for the best gelato/ice cream shops. My husband is obsessed with gelato so I like to find the best spots for him to test out. We ate a lot of delicious gelato when we were in Florence and have been to plenty of outstanding shops all over the world. My husband said this was hands down the best gelato he has ever had. His go to flavors are hazelnut and pistachio and they were both incredibly creamy with a depth of flavor that was truly remarkable. The chocolate cherry gelato was also a personal favorite. Cannot recommend this spot enough!

Ice cream is quite good and nice choices, very hygienic and clean. Service friendliness is average and asking for money ahead of ordering is a bit alienating. Was ok once, but not worth to come back.

Queued twice in 2 days and the gelato is the best I’ve had so far. The fruity flavours — fig and pear were amazing and the pistachio was intense but light. Excellent quality and worth the wait and queue. However, I noticed the queue moved very slowly because the server would allow customers to try samples etc and make small talk. It’s nice to see others being treated warmly but when it’s my turn i don’t get the same service. The server turns cold and I would be made to paid first before making my order (the customers in front of me pay after getting their gelato). This happened twice on 2 different days with the same server. I don’t ask questions and always order quickly to avoid holding up the queue, so I don’t know what’s the matter. It’s a shame and a dent to my overall experience.

My final night in Florence and I couldn’t have asked for a better send off. I ordered the Affogato (decaf I’m not a maniac) with a scoop of their famous Vaniglia and another scoop of MonaLisa. The vaniglia exceeded expectations, I have never had vanilla ice cream as good as this.

The food at Ristorante Il Guscio was absolutely delicious! The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be back next time I visit Florence.

Local Favorite, Delicious Dinner We had a lovely dinner at Ristorante Il Guscio, a bit off the main tourist path and totally worth it. The place filled up quickly, mostly with locals, so definitely make a reservation. We started with anchovies on toast (rich and flavorful little bites) and fried porcini mushrooms - perfectly crisp and earthy. For mains: I had the meatballs - hearty and satisfying My husband had the braised veal cheek in red wine - absolutely delightful Two glasses of wine, fantastic food, and great service all around €90. Charming, relaxed, and quietly excellent.

Really positive experience. This is a solid place to have a good meal with good food cooked with love starting from great ingredients price is a bit on the High side. The pulled pork was special , the artichoke with burrata were great. The guancia and the fillet with liver pate were ok. Also the chianti wine was good. We had an absolutely fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was amazing, traditional Tuscan food prepared in an innovative style. The service was professional and warm, with great wine recommendations from the manager (owner?). We loved this restaurant!

We found this place by accident. The Tortellini with Sage was excellent, so was the wine and service. The gnochi with pesto rossa was good but the sauce was not the best. The views are amazing so is the courtyard you sit in. Forgot to make pictures of the mains, as we were too hungry. The starters were good as well. If you in the area go there!

On our recent trip to Florence, we enjoyed two wonderful meals at Culinaria. We had to return for the second time after the first positive experience. The food is creative with ingredients that are novel but complimentary to the dishes. From zucchini flowers stuffed with cheeses so that the flavors of every ingredient is layered in each bite, to pastas with delicate and delicious sauces, Andrea's menu motivated us to return to experience more from the menu. Other menu items we had and were loved by each person who ordered them: The burger, The scallops and the Baccala. We enjoyed the Florentine bistecca here which was perfectly cooked and presented to the table by one of Andrea's chef team. I've included a photo of the menu, but I know it may change with seasonal ingredients. The atmosphere of the restaurant is enjoyable combining original architecture with modern touches of artistic decor. Most of all it was all served and presented by the owner Andrea, who made us feel welcome, made special recommendations, and helped make our two meals at his restaurant an integral memory to our special family vacation.

We had a familiy event in Florence, 1st time in the city, we were 5 people, booked the table on phone just 1 hour before going there, no issue. The waiter was really kind and supportive, we ordered couple of starters and he served in plates for all of us. He respected the vegetarian request as well, offered a very tasty and great quality white wine. And the desserts at the end was delicious. We enjoyed every minutes there :-) ! Thank you very much !

The staff are very friendly, and the food was the best food I’ve had. Staff recommendations were on point, and they have an English menu for tourists, but experience is authentic in an area that has less foot traffic than the other side of the bridge. Piazza Tasso’s best-kept secret: Where else can you sip your Prosecco with Parliament playing in the background? Fresh, local, seasonal ingredients, interesting and unexpected flavour and colour combinations, wines chosen with taste and attention: just go, you won’t be disappointed. Maybe call ahead - it’s not a very big place, but attracts a very international crowd.

We had lunch at this family-run spot inside the market and it felt super local and down to earth. The food was good, the staff was kind, and the dessert was our favorite part. Only thing to note everything came out kind of lukewarm, not hot. But the flavors made up for it. Don’t skip the pere cotte for dessert. So simple, so good.

Located right at the entrance to Mercato di Sant'Ambrogio, trattoria is a lively, noisy, with humor - a typical Italian place to come, eat, say hello to people you meet first time at your table and go on with your business. The menu is short - 3 zuppas and a few pastas (each priced at 7.50), followed by about 10 main dishes (each priced at 8.50), a few side dishes (priced at 4.50 each) and a few desserts (priced at 5-6). Very down to earth, fast, fulfilling and cost-effective. I liked being able to take half portions to try more things. Liked their Lamperdotto, stuffed zucchini, ribollita, peposo, and the caramelized pear. Unfortunately, the roasted chicken was too dry - hence a star dropped. Their house wine was good. As well as the service. Very good value for your money. Recommended.

First ate: Oct 2025 I think this was the best steak I have ever eaten. Perfectly cooked with a wonderful crust and the right balance of meat and fat. And the taste! I can’t get over the taste! Like nothing I have had before. The creme caramel was also wonderful. Highly recommended. Do not leave Florence without eating here. 5/5

Amazing Bistecca alla Fiorentina. The restaurant is beautiful, service is excellent but the food truly shines the most here. Beef is of excellent quality, you have a choice of three with two local variants including chianina. It is cooked to perfection and you have a choice of sides but eat it by itself or the simple anchovy sauce is also recommendable. Starters such as the parmesan mousse and bone marrow were equally delicious and tasty. Grab a nice bottle of red to go with it. Sadly we had no space for dessert but everything else was divine. Looking forward to coming back.

The steak is superior in all possible ways. Tender, tasty and unforgettable. The whole meal experience was great, from the starters, steak and the dessert. Their wine list is also very comprehensive from locals to foreigners. We went for a nice Chianti Riserva, and were not disappointed. Also the second bottle which was a Chianti suggested by the staff, was up to all expectations.

A beautiful restaurant just around the corner from the Duomo. Best Florentine steak I’ve had among various restaurants in the city. Nice wine list, very tasty food, and a homey yet upscale and chic vibe inside. The staff are friendly and cheerful and it helps make for a very pleasant experience.

Best steakhouse in Florence, by far. I have been to Tuscany for five times, explored a lot of restaurants, but none has managed to impress me as much as this one when it comes to steak. The true bistecca fiorentina is masterfully cooked here. Fast and excellent service, go for the full tasting experience and pair it with a red Tuscan wine. Will be back for sure. And the cheesecake is the best dessert you can order. Enjoy!

Honestly a pretty disappointing experience, we had really been looking forward to this meal, especially the traditional florentine steak. The service was lacking a bit of warmth, and it felt like a tourist trap. The worst part was the steak though, it came out completely over cooked and dry, we prefer a rare steak, but this was definitely well done. We were unable to inform the waiter as we weren’t asked how our meal was, perhaps they knew it was overdone. Lastly, at the end of the meal we were offered limoncello or grappa, we thought this was an included part of the meal as it often is in Italy, so we were shocked to find nearly €30 had been added to the bill for the grappa. Overall a disappointing experience, there are better places in Florence to spend much less money for better quality food and service.

Amazing food and service! We came this morning for breakfast and tried the carrot cake and chocolate bun, both were fantastic. This is by far the friendliest place we’ve visited, and we can’t wait to come back.

Such a cozy place to have breakfast. We were staying in a hotel right next to it and the host advised us to try and we didn’t regret. We loved the croissants, they were so buttery and flaky. Just note that there’s little room to sit so you may have to take away at peak hours.

The classic montanarina…. wow. This review is dedicated to the most INCREDIBLE dish I ate during my entire trip touring Italy so far. An amazing starter that was a flavour bomb & beyond memorable! I ate 2 and honestly I wish I ordered 2 more instead of the pizza. (Nothing against the pizza it was also so good but this stole the spotlight) It was the star of the entire meal thats why I wont even be posting the pizza photos, people should come here just to try this fluffy fried dough heaven. It’s basically a savoury doughnut topped with the most perfect marinara sauce, basil pesto & salted ricotta cheese flakes. I will be dreaming of this when i’m back home truly. Highly HIGHLY recommended for anyone visiting Florence. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time as it is a local favourite (and now I know why!)

This is my third time visiting this pizzeria in the past year, and I truly believe it’s probably the best pizzeria not only in Florence but also in the surrounding area. I don’t want to go into too much detail about the pizzas—you simply have to come and try them for yourself. The menu is minimal, without a hundred different dishes—they’re focused on pizza, and that’s it. The service is excellent, and the staff is friendly. Reservations are a must.

Perfect pizza. Perfect atmosphere. Perfect staff. A quick and efficient restaurant. When I arrived, the inside of the restaurant was full. We ordered a Quattro Formaggi and the famous Margherita with yellow tomatoes. The pizzas arrived in just 8 minutes, and both of them were delicious. The craft beer was really special. Besides, I tried the pistachio tiramisu — it was truly delicious.

Best pizza i ever ordered. The people who work here are the nicest persons you will meet in Firenze. Not expensive and absolutely the best experience. Tip: try the rooftop bar but don’t forget to reservate a table. It’s worth it!

We had breakfast here during our stay at a nearby Airbnb and we absolutely loved it! The croissant was delicious and the coffee was just superb! The place is buzzing with locals in the morning, many food of whom are just grabbing a coffee and pastry at the bar, so you can easily get a table. Must visit if you’re staying in the area!

Great coffee and nice little pastries. Well done aperitivo/apericena... although the Spritz is pricey for its size! 10€ for drink/aperitivo. 7€ for your second Spritz. Beware most of the food is ice cold even if it’s supposed to be a dish served hot. But... it was winter when I visited. Fairly friendly (uncharacteristic) service. A good place for a snack in the via Gioberti zone!

This was a lovely cafe near our hotel which we frequented daily. The coffees were good and they had a great selection of patisserie which were delicious both savory and sweet. It was always crowded and seems to be frequented mainly by locals. The prices were very reasonable and indeed cheap for cappuccino

Nice, quality and classy place. We were there around 1:30, Friday, they were quite busy, place is noisy and patrons seemed mostly locals, not tourists. Great selection of food, superb classic espresso. Food is a bit pricey (3 items you see on pics came at 22 euro) but tastes great and well made. Waiter was attentive and friendly but cashiers were not. For that and for absence of clear pricing on display I took minus one star. But I recommend this place and would go again. Melaleluca was on my list before my arrival in Florence. I managed to have breakfast on my last day and would definitely have chosen if I stayed longer. They start early in the morning, I was there around 8:30 AM and it was almost full, but you can also grab some breakfast pastry and coffee. I tried poached eggs on toast, cinnamon roll (one of the best) and cappuccino. They has good variety of pastry, also pumpkin spiced rolls. The service was very lovely and food was served really fast. Very nice place to enjoy your breakfast near Arno river.

We had breakfast here and it was absolutely magnificent. The staff was fantastic, and the service was super super quick. We had the BLT with a fried egg and it was out of this world, slightly spicy cooked at the right temperature on a fantastic warm bagel. My family had the avocado toast, and it was also very good. The bacon was super crispy. The place is very calm close to the center of Florence but right by the river without a lot of pedestrian traffic. The flat white with almond milk was excellent and vanilla latte with oat was also very good. They also offer watermelon juice and coconut water, which are served fresh and cold. Very few places offer this in Florence. Prices where good for the quality and freshness of the product This is a great healthy option to have brunch our breakfast in Florence. We would definitely come back to try the pastries as well.

Such a lovely cafe. Came for brunch each morning we stayed in Florence. Wait time was less than 5 minutes - you may have to wait longer in a bigger group, but the QR code makes queuing up easy! Coffee, matcha, food and service was excellent. Will definitely be back!

Incredible service! Wonderful food. Best Matcha I’ve ever had (got it with their vanilla syrup). Our server cared about mine and my husband‘s allergies and made sure we were comfortable with what we ordered.

The hype is real! This is some of the most delicious food we’ve had on our trip. The meals feel familiar, but the flavors are distinctly unique. You can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu but I highly recommend the strawberry pancakes and the hasbrowns! Also the scrambled eggs are seasoned (which doesn’t seem like a huge deal, but for us it is). On top of that, the staff is really kind and inviting. We will be back for sure to try more of the menu.

We found this restaurant from a YouTube vlog on Florence. The restaurant is small but they make the space work. Of our 4 mornings in Florence, we ate here twice even though our hotel had a full breakfast included. The servers are friendly and organized even though the place is always busy! The food is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend but be prepared to wait a bit for a table. Get the fried avocado tacos!

We’ve been in Italy for a week and finally found a proper breakfast place with eggs, bacon, etc. Very tasty brunch. Probably the best cinnamon roll we’ve had. Mimosas were refreshing. Service is fantastic. Highly recommend, would definitely go back.

My wife and I ordered 3 course lunch but we had almost 9 courses including welcome appetizers and deserts. Such an excellent view in which you can see the entire city of Florence from your table. Food and service were both exceptional. They have a huge wine list and wine pairing recommendation was excellent. I strongly recomment this place if you visit Florence and want to experience next-level fine dining experience.

My now fiancée booked the restaurant for dinner after our proposal. It was the most amazing, special, beautiful evening. The food was so delicious, every dish was unique and beautifully crafted! The flavours were amazing!! The chefs are so talented! The hosts / waiters were so lovely and made us feel so welcome and looked after. Especially Yosef - he explained every dish so well and gave us recommendations. The most beautiful flowers at our panoramic view table which we got to take home with us was such a special touch. The atmosphere and music at the restaurant was so wonderful. Amazing views for sunset over the whole of Florence. We cannot recommend this spot more!! We would love to return one day once we have got married.

Serrae Villa Fiesole was a standout meal during my time in Florence. The food was absolutely delicious, paired with warm, attentive service and a breathtaking view over the city. Every dish felt thoughtful and refined. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area — it truly deserves a Michelin star.

We ate here in July- on the patio. We did the 9 course tasting which was incredible, and we were well attended to. We took a cab in from Florence and the concierge called one for us on the way back while we reminisced about the menu and meal. Best meal we’ve eaten in the last three years. We chose it because they accommodate food preferences which many don’t. Our only hiccup was the sommelier was not there so we could not do the wine pairing, but the wines they picked for us were lovely. We are still thinking about the green pepper dish we had, which was such s surprise, and loved the clear Italian influence. The “upgrade” in service at the end was such a pleasant surprise. Would highly recommend. We also really appreciated the interaction from the Chef. You can feel how much he cares and thinks about the food and the experience.

Perhaps the best meal we had in all of Italy. This restaurant was a dream. Despite reserving the 5 course menu for my husband and the 4 course vegetarian option for myself, I first of all was offered another pasta dish to up my total dishes to 5, but between the extras, this ended up being 7-9 courses and each was incredible. The service here was phenomenal, the location top notch, and the food was incredible. I genuinely cannot say enough good things - the michelin star is well earned.

If I could rate it 10 stars I would. Amazing food, genuinely so delicious and flavourful. Service was fast and accurate. Friendly, local feel with heaps of character. Ordered almost everything and was only €40 Worth lining up for 10 minutes. Cannot recommend any higher. PS. Get dessert. The best sweets we’ve had in Florence.

Was excited to try this place. I expected a bit of a wait, but was surprised to see a long line before the place opened. A local passing by even stopped to yell at people for doing so…oops That said, it was well worth it. The meal was simple, delicious, and fairly priced. I liked the straightforward menu with a few solid options. The pasta with pork ragù and roast beef were both excellent. Efficient service too!!

Best meal I had in Florence easily. This is truly authentic Tuscan food- very simple and unpretentious, but the ingredients are just that good that everything will blow your mind. All cooked perfectly and the staff were all great- not to mention it was super, mega cheap! €5.40 pasta and €6.80 roast beef. Definitely worth waiting in the queue, just make sure you get there early! No bookings here.

It’s almost impossible to choose only 3 dinner spots in Florence with so many good options available but I am SO glad this is one of the places we decided on. Between Reddit, Stanley Tucci and personal recommendations from friends this one felt like a no brainer. We had a 7:30 reservation for Wednesday evening and upon arrival and check in there were two lines. One for people waiting for a table with no reservation and one for people waiting for their table with a reservation. We arrived on time and were seated after about a 15 minute wait. The ambiance of the restaurant is super warm and cozy and the service was attentive. For dinner we ordered 3 different pastas to share. I really appreciated that they split each pasta for us before bringing them out. I know that they are know for their cinghiale pappardelle but our favorite pasta was the Chitarra Pomodoro with burrata. It was simple and perfect and I wish I was eating it right now. Tiramisu was great as well if you are a dessert person but I honestly could have also just gone for a fourth pasta. For sure make a reservation in advance and definitely prioritize this restaurant if you are visiting from out of town.

Absolutely loved the tomato pasta, so fresh and tangy, it was incredibly appetizing! And the desserts? Hands down the best of my entire trip! The panna cotta with mixed berries was divine, and the tiramisu was simply unforgettable. A must-visit for anyone craving exceptional Italian flavors! We had to queue close to 45mins to get a table (without reservation) but it was pretty worth it in our opinion!

There’s so much choice in Florence but we were so happy we chose to enjoy our Sunday lunch here. Service was friendly and food excellent. Particularly loved the Tortelli with Rabbit and Wild Boar with Polenta. Every course was delicious!

I would like to express my deep sense of gratitude to Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco for making my wife’s and my dinner there special earlier this month. I don’t recall the grandfather’s name, but he was an absolute gem of a person who was kind, funny, welcoming, charming and generous. Although my Italian is okay and his English was better than my Italian, he and I would speak in Italian, and he would effortlessly switch to English to speak to my wife to ensure she wasn’t left out of the conversation. Again, an absolute gentleman. We ordered a beautiful bottle of 2018 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva by TorCalvano, which paired quite nicely with the Ribollita, the Pappardelle al Ragu di Cinghiale and another pasta dish (a stuffed pasta, don’t remember the name) with a delicate rabbit sauce. My wife and I each had a caffe corretto with sambuca. And then the grandfather generously treated my wife and me to limoncello, a perfect way to finish our dinner. Grazie mille!!!!!!!

Absolutely worth the visit— a favorite from our Florence trip. When the server said best tiramisu — he wasn’t lying. It was incredible. The pesto pasta was great and my husband said the steak was incredible. The affogato was also delicious. We loved the pecorino tasting. Service was great. I highly recommend calling for a reservation. They have a good amount of seating, and they have a spot for no reservations outside the front door to line up and wait, but the line fills up. We called a couple weeks in advance for a reservation.

Cross the Ponte Vecchio and head to this authentic Tuscan Osteria that specializes in local dishes with a nod to local game, like wild boar and rabbit. We enjoyed the spaghetti with shrimp and the baby pig. The interior is warm and inviting with many nooks, a vaulted ceiling and rustic decorations. Not expensive. Overall, a genuine Tuscan experience!

Dinner was excellent, there is a reason this place is popular! Highly recommend getting a reservation. Onion flan was exceptional, as well as the shrimp pasta and Florentine T-bone to share! Our waitress was great and had great recommendations as to what to try. Ended the night with a slice of chocolate cake — the best I’ve ever had.

We had a nice dinner in this restaurant. Reservation highly recommended. Food was super good. The octopus was my personal highlight. The Tatar was for my taste a little bit “boring”. Service was top. Overall a good experience and highly recommended.

We absolutely love this spots for locals. Had such an amazing lunch that we returned to their wine bar next door and for dinner. It gets packed so go early. Great service - filled with locals which we love. If they are packed and you have to wait you can grab a bottle of wine next door at their wine bar. Worth the wait!!

We stopped here for lunch and really enjoyed the cozy, intimate vibe — a bit of a hidden gem tucked away from the main crowds. The menu changes seasonally, and every dish we tried was a delight. We Tried the fish and spaghetti dishes along with a glass of wine — all well-prepared and nicely presented. The service was relaxed and friendly, making it a pleasant midday break in Florence. A lovely spot if you’re looking for something authentic yet unpretentious.

This place is cool. Like the relaxing vibe and good food here. The cream brûlée has a natural refreshing flavour and it was the best we have even tried. We will definitely come back again if I come to Florence.

I have never been so insulted in my life. I'm a single woman from America Traveling that sat at the bar and basically was ignored for two hours. I had to grab a waitress in the salon to help me get my food my dessert and my coffee. So disappointed I would say do not visit this restaurant. Completely ignored look at this photos of the staff and the people sitting next to me.

I had a wonderful time visiting this restaurant and went for a celebratory lunch here. The servers were kind and warm and the food was excellent. I would argue the octopus we had here was probably the best I have ever had. We also got the ravioli in broth which was great. The santo spritz was really delicious too. All round a great experience and would come back if I was ever in Florence. Warm vibe energy and great food!

First, let me say the food was amazing. Lots of normal and particularly gluten-free options for my wife. The restaurant was a very good size with an outdoor space despite the small curbside footprint. One thing that really turned me off about the attitude of the waiter; when asked if my wife and I could side side by side, the waiter said it wouldn’t be possible as we would need a 4 person table. Normally I’d agree, but showed up right at opening and the restaurant was empty and remainder virtually empty the entire time we were there. Not impressed.

Excellent gluten free pizza. They also have gluten free pastas but sadly not gluten free tortelloni. They have many different delicious topping combos for the pizzas.

Went with some friends and had not only one of the best food ai have ever had in Florence but also comfortable place and super fast service. Food? Not only good but fresh! We are so happy that our class introduced us to Teatro del Sale & the Sant'Ambrogio neighborhood. As study abroad students, we were grateful to get an authentic Florence experience. Although we did not get the chance to see a live show, we were able to see the beautiful stage and interior, and enjoy some of the best food! We loved how passionate everyone was about their job and Florence in general. We can't wait to go back and catch a show!

Such a wonderful experience at Teatro del Sale! The food was amazing and a perfect way to try lots of different Italian dishes as a tourist. The whole dining experience felt like a show in itself, and the live performance after the meal made the evening even more special. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and we had a great time even though we don’t speak Italian. We shared a table with lovely people and learnt a little more about Italian culture. It really was an unforgettable evening. For reference, it’s about £65 per person for non-members (£50 for members), with wine charged separately. You definitely won’t leave hungry! Highly recommend.

Teatro del Sale is the real highlight of a class trip I took with ISI Florence. The vibe here was so unique—part restaurant, part cultural hub. We had a delicious appetizer platter with fresh homemade bread, accompanied by prosecco to toast to the experience. It was the perfect balance of food, community, and creativity all wrapped into one. You really feel like you're a part of something special. If you're looking to step away from the tourist crowds and dive into Florence’s authentic side, Sant’Ambrogio Neighborhood is where you’ll find it. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.

I was proud to introduce Teatro del Sale in Florence to my international friends, having cherished its unique format years ago. Back then, it offered a vibrant experience: chefs cooking live, food roasting on the spit, the wood-fired oven in full use, and a generous tasting menu. Returning after five years, I was disappointed to find that much of that charm was gone. The food offering was minimal, the live cooking absent, and prices had increased significantly — around 40% more for the meal and 50% more for the membership. I felt sorry for my friends, as the experience fell far short of what I had enthusiastically described.

The Club has really changed over the years and I have been there 4 or 5 times. It used to offer wine in the waiting area without charge and breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffet dinner has been most popular. The food is interesting and varied and they now only serve dinner a few nights per week. There are volunteer helpers. After dinner they used to push back tables and move chairs close. No longer. The show included 3 messily dressed and acting players. The music and singing was good but the male was acting stupid. We did not sit throught the entire performance. Disappointing evening. I will not return.

We were taken here with a group for a dinner and an Italian folk music (and dancing) show. The dinner experience was fantastic with a bell being rung for each couse followed by an announcement of what it entailed. Memberships and reservations are required for these special events, but totally worth it!

Teatro del sale is a culture institution in town and if you want to spend an incredible dinner with outstanding food and enjoy music or show this is the right place. Membership cost you only €15 and all you can eat food €35 excl drinks. It sounds expensive,but what you get in return is pure quality throughout. It was pne of the most amazing discovery in Florence!

A very cozy and stylish wine bar in Florence! You can sit both indoors and outdoors. There’s a great selection of wines and snacks, nice atmosphere and beautiful flowers! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

We stopped by this place on our way home because the atmosphere felt so inviting. It was buzzing with locals and the vibe was amazing! We were even treated to two complimentary small dishes. A wonderful, authentic moment in a little bar in Florence!

Incredible special local FUN lively all the adjectives. Good luck getting a seat at the bar. NOT GOOD FOR BIG GROUPS or if you are in a rush (it took an hr to get the check when it got bussin) but come if you want to experience aperitivo with people who actually live in Florence.

Only came for a glass of wine. Randomly stumbled upon it because the wine window place a few doors down was flooded with other tourists taking selfies. Staff were great and the wine selection was exceptional. They let you take your glass of wine outside and chill in the street without a deposit and it’s just a friendly place.

Most amazing place for a good vino. The staff is amazing and very social. We orderd a few rounds of wine and amazing cheese and meat platter. But with that the staff also is giving you a lot of extras to taste. And they really know about taste… A place i always go back to when in Florence. It’s a small place, so sometimes it’s packed. I had the immense privilege of photographing a luxury destination wedding at Villa San Michele, and as a luxury photographer who works with many exquisite venues, I can confidently say it is unlike any other. From the golden-hour glow over Florence to the villa’s historic interiors, the variety of breathtaking locations offered endless opportunities for capturing perfect moments. I should note that the villa’s commitment to excellence is reflected not only in its stunning spaces but also in its exceptional staff, who are attentive, courteous and hospitable to one whether they are a guest or a visitor. To me, the latter is a sign of true hospitality! I absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend villa San Michele and I plan to visit again, this time for an extended stay with my wife next time I am in Florence!

Nothing to add,utterly perfect. Situated on the hillside overlooking Firenze,the property has a great view and la loggia offer balcony seats facing the scenery. This is a total different experience compared to the hectic florence. We are lucky enough to visit before the season closing. But I advise if you plan a visit,please contact the hotel/restaurant to check if they are opening. We have chosen the tasting menu ‘contrasti’ with a well curated seafood menu. Afterall the florentine steak and tuscany traditional meal we think this is a refreshing break. The restaurant manager simone is very nice to have offered us some champagne for my pre-birthday. We open up the apetite with a set of beautiful ‘primavera’ garden like apetitizers. Simone pretty presents the stories of each dish behind and the local ingredient to make the beautiful crafted dishes. To higlight there js one sphere shape butter which is made from the milk on back of the hill of the restaurant. It is so creamy pairing up with the perfect crusted bread. The basic ‘bread and butter ‘ can simply shows how well a restaurant is. Other than that I love the mushroom crema antipasti, perfectly decorated. Afterall the chef alessandro cozzolino meet us,he is very friendly and also previously worked in Hong Kong from where I am originated. He told us all the beautiful ceramic plates are designed by him,such a detailed-minded display. I would like to remark on the wine pairing,highly recommended as you will taste wine from different region,they will pair it up based on your own needs and interests. and most of all you can enjoy the dinner without any hassles. Overall the restuarant and hotel has a great atmosphere. It is a enjoyable meal,great service from a passionate and detail-minded team. Highly recommended.

Amazing view and mood. Beautiful presentation of dishes. But taste ..doesn’t value very high. It was normal comparing with the expectation of its location and the price. Staffs were all very kind but the welcoming service wasn’t professional to let wait around 30mins more than the booking time. Having aperitif outside in the garden was amazing. Sommelier is very professional and passionate.

This restaurant is located inside the Belmold hotel inside the villa San Michele. A friend of mine book Us the reservation for our Anniversary. They only hold it with a credit card on file so if you cancel you have to do it in advance or else they charge 100 euros . The place is located up a hill over looking all of Florence and it’s beauty . The views are spectacular and so amazing . The place is very high end so you have to dress accordingly. They have a guy playing the piano . The whole experience is very romantic. The food and wine is delicious and the service is over top . I definitely will come back when I’m in town and also recommend this place .

Unfortunately I am deeply disappointed with my experience here tonight, on many levels. I came here last year for dinner at the San Michele restaurant(not La Loggia) and it was a wonderful time. Because of this, I wanted to take my sister here the next time I was in Florence. I made the mistake of making a reservation for La Loggia thinking it was the same as I had reserved previously, not realizing there were two different restaurants. I was charged a €200 deposit before my visit, which I called about and they explained on the phone it would be subtracted from the bill. We arrived and had drinks in the gardens. They made us pay for the drinks separately before proceeding to dinner. At the table I realize my mistake and explain this to Simona, the person who was seating us. She did not want to refund me but said we could still have dinner at San Michele, and we changed tables. There Dino greeted us, and we explained the situation to him and he said it was no issue and that he would refund us whichever amount we did not spend from the deposit. Dino took care of me last time I visited as well and was a huge part of why my experience was so great the first time. Unfortunately the food from the San Michele restaurant was very disappointing. The risotto was so salty we were not able to eat it, which Dino noticed, and the ravioli was overcooked and a bit salty as well. The first time I was here, the food was perfect, so I’m not sure what happened. When it came time to pay, Simona came back as she did want to refund us but said for the €80 we were now overpaying on our bill she would give us a nice bottle of wine and a bottle of olive oil. She came back with a bag and said “here is your gift”, which since we were technically paying for it, felt a little off. There was no bottle of olive oil in the bag and when we looked up the wine bottle on Google we learned it retails for €25. Again, all of this tainted our experience, especially since half the food we had was inedible. The service we received from everyone else was top notch and obviously the premises are spectacular, but not sure I can recommend this place anymore.

i would give ⭐⭐⭐ for the food but ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the service! the waiter was really fun and we came earlier ahead of our reservation (we visited the place 2 days before our reservation to make one) and he served us prosecco which was really appreciated. however, felt like the food can be improved. the fried zucchini flower is our favorite, it's light, crispy and lightly salted. duck ragu pappardelle is good although not the tastiest. we feel that the rabbit is a bit tough and the sauce is too tomato-ey which is not our preference. tiramisu is quite light and creamy, pretty good. do reserve in advance as the place is really busy.

It is not a hype to visit Vini e Vecchi Sapori while you're in Florence. One of a kind place with vibrant vibe, amazing staff and extra delicious food which varies between days. Be sure to have a reservation as it is almost impossible to go there without one. I made it the day before the actual visit, while exploring the city I visited osteria to make a reservation. Staff is just simply amazing amd helpful. On the actual day I was welcomed and seated as per reservation. I tried spinach, Ravioli and espresso (no cappuccino here). Ravioli with ricotta, spinach and pink sauce was really straight from another world. Simply don't miss the place, no words needed to describe the whole experience and fun there.

my #1 restaurant/meal in the world!!!! i had visited vini e vecchi 8 years ago and had the best dinner ever - we ordered 13 plates of food for 3 people, and then reordered all our favorites for a total of 19 plates that night. for years i have recommended it to friends and anxiously awaited my return. it was so good the first time that i was truly nervous - what if it didn’t live up to the memory!! well, it did - and then some🥲 you know in the film ratatouille when the food critic takes a bite and is transported to his childhood, watching his mom preparing ratatouille for him, before zooming back into real time and a single tear falling down his cheek? that is the experience i had returning to this incredible place. quite literally tears of joy when i put the first bite of pasta in my mouth!!! sincere, heartfelt service and the most comfortable, warm vibe in the dining room. the pasta is simply the best you can get anywhere! i am a pasta connoisseur - seriously i ordered 4 pastas each day that we visited - and nothing will ever beat this. this experience was the highlight of my italy trip and the team here made it better than i could’ve dreamt. thank you so much for everything, i can’t wait to return 🥲 ❤️

On our last night in Italy, we had the BEST meal ever at a charming restaurant. Fede and the staff made us feel like we were dining at a friend's home. The duck ragu and beef ragu were absolutely mind-blowing, rich with flavor and perfectly cooked. The filet with peppercorn sauce and lamb chops were equally impressive, cooked to perfection and bursting with deliciousness. My husband couldn't believe I ate ALL of my two dishes. He was hoping for a few bites to share. We relied on the staff's recommendations, and they did not disappoint! The camaraderie among the patrons was infectious, leading us to sing along to Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline." It truly was the highlight of our trip, and I only wish we had discovered this gem sooner!

Amazing place, totally deserving of being ranked the fourth best restaurant in Florence as per Timeout’s 2025 article. The restaurant is small, reservations are a must. Fully booked for dinners, usually you are luckier booking for next day’s lunch. Staff is very friendly and relaxed, not rushing you to free the table. The best is the food! I have had fried zucchini flower, burrata and tomato pasta and zucchini flower and saffron pasta, everything top quality! Prices are very reasonable for such a central location. You must visit!

Avoid – All Hype, No Substance Honestly, this was the most disappointing meal we had in Italy. Completely overhyped and not worth the effort. I tried calling multiple times, weeks in advance, and even asked my Airbnb host to help, but I couldn’t get through until two weeks before our trip. The earliest table available was 9 pm. Still, I was excited because of all the glowing reviews and long queues we had seen outside. We arrived two hours early (as suggested by a waiter) hoping to be seated sooner. Instead, we were offered uncomfortable chairs right by the door, next to smokers, and told we could order wine while we waited outside. We declined and returned just before our 9 pm reservation, only to wait nearly another half an hour for our table. When we were finally seated, we were crammed into a tight corner table. The experience didn’t improve from there. The food was completely underwhelming, bland and forgettable. The courgette flowers and raspberry tiramisu I had been looking forward to were not even available. The mains were cooked fine, but tasted of little more than plain white sauce. Service was polite enough, but even the tourists seated next to us admitted they were disappointed. It really feels as though this place thrives on hype and reputation rather than genuine quality. There are far better places in Italy where you will be welcomed warmly, seated comfortably, and actually enjoy your meal. I think I am being generous giving this two stars, and I know this review will not affect their popularity, but I hope it saves others from a regrettable decision to dine here

I didn't want to ruin my great experience in Florence with one not so good experience. This place was recommended by a friend of ours for their steak. We had two kinds of steak there and although they looked very delicious, they were dry and not so tasty. The wine was really good though! In Florence from the US and a local recommended this place - We had the most amazing steak Florentine, wonderful atmosphere and our waiter spoke excellent English. To top it all off…. They actually had ice cubes and served Coca Cola to us in a glass of ice! (Very rare in Europe). The waiter even threw in free lemon and melon flavored shots at the end. 10/10

Came here two nights in a row when we only had two nights in Florence! Food and vibe is just what you need after a long day of exploring. Relaxed, food is fairly priced, food comes quick enough but you don’t feel rushed. Portion sizes are good enough but the food so delightful you want more :) Recommend all the vegetarian pastas

We had a lovely 3 course dinner as walk-ins. The tomato soup was delicious and the truffle pasta and carbonara were fantastic. Oh, I also forgot my bag at the restaurant, and the staff were very helpful to let me collect it the next morning before my train out of Florence! Thanks for a great evening.

Quaint restaurant less catered for tourists (but English menu is still available). We ordered the bruschetta for two, the rabbit bolognese, and pesto gnocchi. All quite nice - rabbit gave the bolognese a gamey feel which was a nice contrast. Pasta cooked to perfection. Service was hurried but friendly, slight mistake was made on our bill, but quickly corrected when pointed out. The air conditioning is not very effective so don't expect to be cooled if seated inside.

We had a lovely meal and the service was warm and friendly. Family owned place and Matteo was an excellent host. Mix of locals and tourists. We had several of the homemade pasta dishes. Prices were reasonable.

Amazing pizza (best I have ever had in northern Italy)! Great prices, authentic food and full of locals. They even sell their own home-brewed beer.

I found this pizza place by chance, and it turned out to be one of the best in Florence. Pizzeria Spera was busy with locals, which made it feel very authentic. The pizza was simple but really tasty, and the prices were fair. It was close to our Airbnb, so we got takeaway, but next time I’d like to sit inside and enjoy the atmosphere. They also have their own beer, which is a nice touch. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Florence.

This place is great for a different kind of pizza. The pizzaiola is great and the pizza is very tasty. If you order their special pizza they make an entire pizza split into quadrants, where they have different toppings in each quarter of the pizza. Be sure to let them know of any allergies, restrictions or simply items you do not prefer to have on a pizza and they will accommodate. The only thing is they are always VERY busy, so try to get there early enough to enjoy the pizza.

One of the best Arancini I had in my life till now. The young lady behind the counter was so nice and kind. My only regret was not trying their cannoli. If you are going to see the David, make a stop here and trust me you will thank me.

Visited this place based on online recommendations, but I’d suggest skipping it. Surprisingly, there was no queue — which probably should’ve been a sign. The staff was rude. I tried the arancini ball: it was cold, tasted just okay, and cost €3.90. Definitely not worth the price or the stop.

We came for the cannoli, and the cannoli didn’t disappoint! It is filled fresh so the shell remains crunchy. It was a good, quick snack. The shop looked like they had some other yummy dishes as well. Very cute ambiance.

I wasn't hungry for a full meal so I decided to try the arancini as a quick snack before my scheduled tour. This shop was highly reviewed so I thought, perfect option. I ordered 1 spinach filled and a classic arancini which I was told was filled with eggplant. The spinach was by far my favorite and while they were still slightly warm, it would have been perfect had they come freshly made or toasted in the over for maximum crispiness. The second to my surprise, was filled with a type of fish, not eggplant. It was still tasty but not what I was expecting. Service was okay, but it was near the end of the day and their eagerness to welcome customers or address their questions felt lacking. Overall, I was happy that I stopped by and would recommend visiting this little shop.

The squid ink arancino was beautifully flavoured if somewhat high on salt. The cake too was delicious but a bit high on sugar. The pistachio and ricotta ice cream was simply excellent.

Best cannoli I have ever tried anywhere! The filling was amazing and we had to go back another day just to eat one more. The arancini is also one of the best I have ever eaten. We tried the ham and the eggplant one, and as a vegetarian who does not like eggplant, mine was so so good!! I have already recommended this place to so many friends The only down side is that it is a small place, so arrive early if you want a table or you can order to go like many Italians do

So many food options here for everyone! This is where I had the best truffle pasta of my life! Only this was the seating was limited, so can be hard to find a seat with the huge crowd. And also hold onto your handbags and phones, as it’s reported to be a high pick-pocketing area. Leather markets are just outside too, so plenty to choose from - just make sure you bargain them down!

Not the biggest or most popular market in Florence, but definitely worth a visit! My tip: look for the local grape pie – I’ve never had anything like it before. Incredibly delicious and truly unique! On Saturdays, the market expands with a huge variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, and cold cuts. You can also enjoy a meal inside. In short - there’s a lot to discover here!

Opened in 1873 and designed by Giuseppe Mengoni, the market follows a similar concept to Florence’s Central Market but on a smaller, more local scale. Outside, stalls sell fruits, vegetables, and clothing, while the indoor section focuses on fresh food and everyday groceries, offering a lively glimpse of local life.

Amazing atmosphere and super friendly staff. The foods are all freshly made and there are many delicious options to choose from! Highly recommend stopping by and shopping with the locals!

Wasn’t sure what kind of market this would be. It was a fresh food market (veggies, fruit, cheese) and kind of a low end thrift store vibe on the other end. Not really worth a trip for me cause I wasn’t look for either of those things. Was already wrapping up before 2pm

Very typical Old Style Italian coffee shop with pastries. The atmosphere is classic and the owner as typical Italian as you can get. Mainly locals here so worth a try!

Found this place whilst looking through some recommendations and HAD to visit immediately. The cafe is beautifully decorated with this stunning green and gold interior; its a little hole in the wall for you to get lost in. The desserts and pastries itself were also amazing. The raspberry pastry I tried was super flaky, and the chocolate dessert (with dates? i’m not sure) was super addicting. Will definitely be going back!

I walked here every day and was always so curious. One day I stopped and got a few desserts. I have to say this place is very good and not packed with tourist like other spots. I would definitely come back for more pastries.

I walked by this Ristorante and after investigating the menu - I can tell you this is real Tuscan food. Simple, well presented and delicious. I was immediately seated and given plenty of attention as requested. The gentleman that states they only accept cash is wrong. I stepped up to the cassa and paid with Apple Pay, no questions or problems. I plan to go back as soon as I can!!!

Great experience with friendly staff and quality food. They aren't show offs when it comes to their service or offerings, but they should be. The filet was wonderful and a great deal for the price. The sides were also very good, we added garlic to the salad and it's crazy how different the fresh ingredients make it. Would come back here any night of the week! We didn't have reservations, either.

When it comes to T-bone steak or Bistecca alla Fiorentina, you should see small portion of 'tenderloin'. Which is more tender and more expensive than Sirloin. HOWEVER, THERE WAS NO TENDERLOIN AT ALL!!!!!!! Food overall tasted good and wine was good. But this 'no tenderloin' is not acceptable. I also see some other customers reviews and see no tenderloin. It is an act of deceiving customers. Although food was good, this is never close to Michelin guide bib gourmand. Also CASH ONLY...?!!!

Good tradional restaurant. It has all traditional food of tuscan region. We enjoyed the food. What i didn't like was the menu only in Italian and accepted only cash.

We found this restaurant on the Michelin guide app. The food was fantastic, a real tuscan experience. We had the florentine steak and the Pici “All’Aglione”, absolutely fanatic. The waiter took the time to talk us through each dish and helped us pair a wine with the dish. So glad we came here :)

We had the pleasure of enjoying a river seat around sunset at Signorvino Firenze, and it was the perfect way to wind down our day. The ambiance was simply stunning! The selection of cheese was amazing, with the blue cheese being my absolute favorite. It paired beautifully with the wine they recommended: Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba. This red wine was exceptional and complemented our cheese platter perfectly. If you're looking to grab a drink while exploring the city, this place is a must-visit.

Wonderful spot on the river menu very large and wines huge list meatballs excellent and was the focaccia with mortadella and stracchino service excellent too!

We came and enjoyed a Beautful bottle of wine on the patio. The view is stunning. Service staff was great and they didn’t rush us out. A must stop.
