Bar
American restaurant
HopCat East Lansing is a lively brewpub near the MSU campus, featuring intricate woodwork and over 100 draft beers. It's popular among beer enthusiasts and casual diners, offering creative pub fare and delectable brunch items. The young, energetic crowd creates a vibrant ambiance, with special events and trivia nights adding to the excitement. The menu includes classic bar options, with crack fries being a standout favorite.
The chef makes some really good selections with a beautiful and fun bar theme. They specially do a wonderful, inspiring job of incorporating beer, cheese, and potato. The beer battered Cosmik fries side with cracked pepper and cheese sauce is good and unique. The honey sriracha boneless wings with ranch are uniquely flavorful. These are a middle sized portion. As a third selection, the really good beer cheese soup is rich and creamy once moving past the beer taste. Without a side fry, the chef generously tops the soup with tasteful potato. I wish they served a heartier produce option of a side house salad filled with more quality vegetable. Also, I wish to find in more cities honey sriracha fried chicken and beer battered fries. 🐥 🍯 🥛 🍺 🥔 🧀

First time to order from Hopcat and the food was average. I got fish and chips with coleslaw, fries and some sauce. The fish was crispy, the coleslaw was good, the fries was oily and the sauces were fine. 3 stars is enough as I have tried way better fish and chips in several other places.

We attended HopCat in Ann Arbor, MI the evening of University of MI 2025 season football first game which was a night game a couple weeks ago. So fun! I've never been to HopCat and that was my first choice for an early dinner. It was very packed like all other restraunts so we got to sit outside in their umbrella table sesting area on a warm late afternoon. So epic! My son is a brewer on West Coast so I'm a brewmaster Mom and loved the beer choices. 🍺 so cool! Awesome place and I will be back soon!! 🏈 💛 💙
Donetta S — Google review
The hangover helper is literally one of the best burgers I've ever had in my ENTIRE LIFE! The fries are perfectly crispy and seasoned just right, plus the drink selection is amazing! 5/5 will be going out of my way to come back again. We visited for the first time on a very busy afternoon/evening (MSU homecoming game) with 45+ minute wait times for a table and the food still came out great in a timely manner.
Boogy W — Google review
I can not say enough great things about our visit here! We were in East Lansing for work and my kids wanted to go out to dinner that same night. Hop Cat was within walking distance of our hotel. Our server Jacob was phenomenal! He was quite possibly the best server we have ever had. He was very patient with us while we were looking at the food menu and reviewing the drink menu. He offered many suggestions drink wise. Jacob also helped my fiancé find his “unicorn” beer (Toppling Goliath Sosus to be exact) later during our dinner. He recommended the raspberry basil meowgarita to me which was delicious. Our food arrived perfectly! We ordered an appetizer and a few sandwiches/burgers. Everything was hot and fresh. My sons really enjoyed the Buffalo Mac and Cheese and Rodeo Clown burger with loaded fries. Their cosmik fries are always a hit! Highly recommend coming to this location!
Kara R — Google review
The Impossible Burger (Veg) is awesome 🔥. I'm now a HopCat Fan. It's tasty and wow. 🥲 Please introduce 1 or 2 more Vegetarian options in each of the menu section... I want to come here every week 😭.
Ananya K — Google review
Attempted to order on DoorDash and all ordering was closed so we called into the restaurant. The hostess was really nice at first, but took a really long time. We were on hold for a while when she came back she had a terrible attitude took our order. got the order right but the order coming from the kitchen came out terribly Wrong. My burger was very undercooked with absolutely none of the toppings and I paid for the meal and its entirety, as you can understand I’d be really frustrated by this. There were a lot of things missing from our order and the quality wasn’t that Good.

Crunchy's, a long-standing dive bar in East Lansing, has been a local favorite for over 35 years. Despite its old-school charm, the bar keeps up with the times by offering an impressive selection of 27 craft beers on tap. Known for serving some of the best burgers in town, Crunchy's also hosts lively karaoke nights every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It's a popular spot to catch a game and soak up the college spirit.
Favorite bar food in East Lansing! Our server did a great job accommodating the needs of such a large group! I almost missed out on pictures but here’s a sample of some tasty items available!
Paulina H — Google review
I have a lot of friends that went to Michigan State and Crunchys was a go to spot for them. I finally made it in for lunch. It was a great spot for Burgers, Tots and Beer. Great college hang out. Food was good for sure.
Andy S — Google review
Always something for everyone. Ample menu and everything is fantastic! If you're thirsty there is a huge drink selection from a full bar, seasonal flavored shots to a nice selection of micro-brews. Depending on time of day, it is excellent choice for families but nearer late hours much more pub-only. The only downside is parking which can be lacking and a bit tricky as the main parking lot is not owned by Crunchy's so you will need to park in Paid parking nearer the Community Park in the rear. Overall, Crunchy's continues to be the bomb!
Msu M — Google review
Atmosphere and service great, friendly and welcoming, no problems all around; only problem was I ordered a chili cheeseburger and it was served basically on its side, with all the toppings quickly running off of it, on a tiny basket. Was physically difficult to eat, even with a knife and fork, despite the fact that it was very good. Would recommend switching to larger plates or baskets.
E B — Google review
So I have been here a couple times, and I thought the food was OK. My burger was pretty good. I wish it was seasoned more and cooked the way I want it, but this is a Burger and beer place. I wasn’t too happy about the parking situation because you have to park behind the building. My girlfriend and I ended up getting a parking ticket while we were having our lunch, so be mindful of your parking. The service was excellent but let’s just say I’ve had better burgers.
Andrew R — Google review
I pulled up to Crunchy's not too long before kitchen closed so I was given the option of fried foods only, but at least I had the option! The Cajun tater tots were delicious! Our server was very kind and attentive. The vibe was fun. Had a great time. Karaoke!!!
Kerra W — Google review
Went here for the first time for lunch after moving my daughter onto campus. Food was excellent, our server was fantastic and I really liked the handful of pinball machines!! The really only downfall was finding the entrance. It took a few minutes as its not clearly marked due to the layout of the building. But other than that spot on!!
Josh K — Google review
Went for karaoke with friends we waited about 35 min for a table. The bbq pork sliders bucket was really good but was not impressed with the loaded tots needed seasoning. As far as going for karaoke I won't go for that. The song selection was very limited. I would go back for the food though.

Pizza Takeout
Pizza House is a spacious pizzeria located near Michigan State University, offering a relaxed dining experience and specializing in Chicago and traditional-style pizza. It's an ideal spot for group gatherings or birthday celebrations, with a kids' menu featuring options like BBQ ribs, spaghetti and meatballs, macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders, and cheese pizza. While known for its pizzas, the restaurant also impresses with its chicken alfredo made with in-house alfredo sauce.
I came into town and was starving!!! The hotel Candlewood Suites on MSU campus highly recommended y’all. I ordered the spinach artichoke dip and a BBQ Shrimp pizza (I don’t eat meat) and it was amazing !!! I wish they had a location in Atlanta !!! Highly recommend. Max P. Was my server and I wish everyone was like him
Keya T — Google review
Absolutely amazing pizza. Everytime we want good pizza, this is the spot. Last night we got cheesy flatbread for an appetizer and it was phenomenal. Crispy with a perfect amout of cheese. We also got the house special, in a Chicago deep dish. First time trying the deep dish, but we were not dissapointed. If I could find any complaints, the price is high, but it comes with amazing food. Also, the pizza could have used a bit more sauce, but I didn't ask for extra, so that was on me. I absolutely love coming to this place and will be back for sure. Absolutely best pizza ive found.
Tony G — Google review
Food was good; we had a stuffed House Special pizza. It was prepared well and came out hot. Service was good once we got some. We were seated immediately but it took forever for our waitress to show up and no one even acknowledged we were waiting. I'm quite patient in these situations. But even I was just about to get up and go look for an employee when the waitress finally arrived at our table. Prices seemed high, probably because the pizza toppings are charged individually on top of the base price for cheese only and that adds up quickly. Cost per item goes up with the size of the pizza. Toppings were plentiful but the check is likely to end up higher than you anticipate.
Ari A — Google review
Came into Pizza House on a quiet Saturday evening to enjoy some pizza with my mom—and can I just say, it was amazing! I ordered the spinach artichoke dip and my mom got the classic pepperoni , and it was EVERYTHING. Max P. was our server, and he was so kind and attentive. If I lived in town, I’d definitely be a regular!
Kieya S — Google review
As the social coordinator for our youth soccer club, I am always looking for venues welcoming of large groups (and lots of kids), which is not always easy. Pizza House is the perfect place to host a group outing! The GM, Jeremy, was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and was helpful coordinating the details of our event. The staff were timely, responsive, and dedicated to our group. The food was hot and ready for us upon arrival, which was helpful for our squirrely bunch. Overall, I was impressed and thankful for our experience, and would definitely recommend to others!
Allison A — Google review
Pizza was amazing, and the bar/Resturant looked even better. I ordered the thin crust traditional cheese and pepperoni. I’ll for sure come back here in East Lansing
Kyle S — Google review
Huge menu with lots of choices outside of pizza, if that's not your thing. Great atmosphere with plenty of screens to watch various sports. So again, while it's called Pizza House, it's not just pizza. Looking for beer? Yes, they have that too. Do you like pizza, beer and sports? You found it, right here. There's also a gym very close that I'm sure is nice to check out. Just know that if you're going to go to the gym, you'll likely hear the Pizza House calling your name afterwards or beforehand. Please come prepared.
Jay M — Google review
Our reunion committee chose to host our 45th class reunion at Pizza House. It was an excellent choice! We opted to have the pizza, salad and dessert option, and everything was delicious! We had a private section that was comfortable and intimate. We had 2 servers that were very attentive and helpful that kept up with drinks for 40 people, and checked with us to see if we needed anything. I highly recommend Pizza House for your next event or gathering!

The Peanut Barrel is a classic American bar and grill located in East Lansing, MI. It's known for its great food, including the signature Olive Burger and Long Island Iced Teas. The outdoor patio offers scenic river views, making it a popular spot for locals and Michigan State University alumni. With its fun and friendly environment, this late-night bar always has awesome deals and is well-preserved in the memories of countless patrons.
For decades this place has been making great burgers and chicken sandwiches. Much easier to get outdoor seating when the students are out of town. Every time I pass through town I stop here. Mild pepper burger with fries. Delicious. And the traditional long island iced tea. Staff very friendly.
Raman P — Google review
This place has super basic but super good fries! Two of the burgers pictured are “baby burgers,” they were not so baby, I definitely loved that. Small menu but good food! Lots of up-charges for add-ons, either way, service was great. Had a great time in the sun today!
Paulina H — Google review
The Peanut Barrel is located in a lively spot near the university, so the atmosphere is always buzzing with energy. The menu covers all the basic food options, making it a reliable choice for a casual meal. We tried the Chicken Shroom Burger and the Reuben Sandwich — both tasted fine, though not particularly outstanding. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the experience pleasant overall. 👍🏼
Rupashree M — Google review
I had heard about The Peanut Barrel and how it has been a longtime staple in East Lansing and decided to give it a try! The Peanut Barrel is a no-frills type of place with a simple menu that generally delivers what you’d expect. The burger lunch special is a good value and I found it to be pretty satisfying. The restaurant itself is a bit dingy but some might say it has character; it sort of reminds me of what being on campus would have been like 40 years ago. Nonetheless, the service was good, the food was fairly solid, and the price was fair. Just keep in mind that there are a lot of little up charges for things like burger toppings. Sometimes you just need a simple burger and The Peanut Barrel delivers just that!
Brandon's V — Google review
I personally dislike when a burger patty doesn't cover the entire bun, leaving you with nothing but bread for the last bites. While the crispy, burned cheese that fell from the patty may appeal to some, it wasn't for me. The waitresses seemed tired and unhappy, which was reflected in the service. We were also told to expect a 30-minute wait for our food, which felt excessively long for a menu consisting of simple burgers, salads, and handhelds. It was probably not their best day.
Javier M — Google review
The burgers never disappoint—always juicy and flavorful. The fries are perfectly crispy and evenly cooked. The patio atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, right in the heart of Michigan State’s campus. It always brings a wave of nostalgia for alumni, making it a favorite spot to relive college memories over great food. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💚🤍

The burgers, service, and drinks were awesome! Mary went above and beyond to make our experience truly great. Super friendly atmosphere and excellent food—exactly what you’d want in a local favorite. We’ll definitely be back!

Takeout Restaurant
Woody's Oasis is a popular Mediterranean eatery known for its classic dishes and vegetarian options. With four locations in the Greater Lansing area, including one with a full bar, it has been recognized for serving the best Middle Eastern and Vegetarian/Vegan food. The restaurant offers traditional Mediterranean fare such as chicken kabobs and falafel, along with a variety of vegetable options to cater to different tastes.
Amazing local Mediterranean food! The Gyro 🥙 and Chicken shawarma are amazing. Everything is reasonably priced. The perfect lunch spot.
Elena G — Google review
I purchased the chicken schawarma with rice combo for $20. I received a 3oz container of chicken, a 3oz container of rice, and a 3 oz container of hummus. When I called to confirm this was correct, the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and condescending. I think it’s great food, don’t get me wrong, but the small amount of food you receive is not near the $20 price tag.
Avery K — Google review
We love Woody's! Woody's is my absolute favorite restaurant! They have delicious Mediterranean and American food, great service, and affordable prices. Our personal favorite is their hummus( it is absolutely fantastic)! We would and do recommend this to our friends and family!
V T — Google review
Woody’s Oasis was recommended by the staff at Michigan State University vet hospital. This was the first time we visited this restaurant. The counter staff person was friendly, offered menu suggestions and answered all of my questions. She even told me the best way to eat the Falafel wrap! We spent about $27 on two falafel wraps, side dishes and drinks. I spent another $10 on a tray with a variety of desserts. The falafel would have been sufficient by itself - very filling. I would definitely make an hour drive just to come to this restaurant again! The food was delicious!
Angela B — Google review
Classic Mediterranean food has been a staple in Michigan State for a while after 20 years since the last time I ate there still consistently good
Scotty A — Google review
First and foremost the food was OUTSTANDING! The spice in the samosas was just right while still leaving the flavor. I wanted a dozen of them but they only had 11, which was fine. They were different than the samosas I had at another Mediterranean restaurant but none the less, they were still excellent. The spicy chicken shawarma was packed with flavor and was a good size portion. I didn't want to stop eating it. The rice was perfectly cooked as well and soaked up a lot of the tasty juice from the chicken. My 2 sides for my shawarma were spicy hummus and Greek salad. The hummus was so creamy and delicious. The salad was very good but I was real shocked when I took my first bite and chomped down on an olive pit. Not so pleasant that's for sure. My daughter got a wrap with spicy hummus and her boyfriend got the gyro. The 2 employees ringing people up were pleasant as well. Woody's definitely exceeded our expectations and I can see a return trip in our very near future.
Jessica K — Google review
Woody’s is an East Lansing classic but I wish they cared more about their reputation. Food is always 3/5, and there are better options around the area for Mediterranean food. There doesn’t seem to be much care put into the food, I have noticed a decline in the past 5 years. Having said that, the speed of Woody’s makes it an easy lunch stop and it’s never bad.
Daniel D — Google review
The chicken shawarma was a tiny bowl and was super dry. Fries order was incredibly small. Over $20 for small portions that were not tasty. I won't be back.

Sansu Sushi and Cocktails offers a delightful fusion of traditional Japanese cuisine and modern dining aesthetics. Nestled in East Lansing, this restaurant is renowned for its extensive menu featuring everything from sushi to katsu, all served in a chic yet inviting atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the unique experience of sitting at low tables in a shoeless area that mimics the feel of dining on the floor, adding an authentic touch to your meal.
Fine sushi with lots of choices. We had the famous Godzilla roll, Fusion roll, rock and roll, Spicy Salmon roll and Volcano roll. The fusion roll is a deep fried outer, which is a departure from many of the other sushi. The green tea was also great. Call ahead, because the restaurant gets busy.
Robert M — Google review
It was our first time here and let’s say we loved it. Atmosphere was pretty cool. I was surprised I had to take my shoes off to dine in the area we ate in. The server was very attentive and made great recommendations. We all dug in before I could get to many photos but believe me everything tasted great. If you’re in the area I highly recommend making it one of your stops!

This THE place to go in Lansing for a beautifully prepared and presented and of course fresh and delicious Sushi! Beautiful interior. Very Japanese. Fabulous service. You can't go wrong if you like sushi or other related Japanese dishes.
Mark C — Google review
Stopped in to Sansu for a quick bite to eat on my way out of East Lansing. The restaurant is huge and right off of campus so it was mildly busy when we went. We tried some appetizers and had to get the crispy rice spicy tuna, a fan favorite. We tried a platter of mixed sushi, all were very good. The noodle dish was decent but I wish there were more noodles!
Carter K — Google review
This place is so cute. The soup was great, and they had the best ginger salad I've ever had. The sushi was sushi. We had 2 really good rolls, but nothing really stood out. I was also disappointed they didn't tell you the names when giving you the plate. So I'm not saying the sushi was bad, but that same sushi at another place. I would expect to pay $11-15 at the most, not $17-22. I also didn't like that the prices are not offered on the menu but on a separate piece of paper.
Stephanie W — Google review
Excellent sashimi! Best in Lansing area. Chefs' choice deluxe was fresh, served beautifully, and was high quality. Service was ok.
Darrin M — Google review
Today I’m going to make a short review but I tried this place and basically everything was good. The sushi was really good. The Noodles were tasty and savory. I also had crab bites that tasted amazing. Just don’t get the salmon items like Michigan rolls. I unfortunately didn’t really like the salmon on the Michigan rolls but this is a good place to eat around this area.
Malika P — Google review
It's good quality sushi, but you're paying for the fancy building, seating arrangements, and private rooms. I can think of 5 better places in greater Lansing, much cheaper, quality is equal or better. This is cute for a first date or holiday, but prices have doubled in the last 12 months.

Fleetwood Diner is a 24-hour eatery that serves a variety of dishes, such as breakfast, burgers, gyros, and traditional American diner bites. It is renowned for its extensive selection of omelets like the Coney and cheese omelet, as well as the ham, bacon, or sausage omelet. Additionally, they offer the original hippie breakfast consisting of eggs, toast, and hippie hash.
OMG!! The service was great, prices were very reasonable, and portions were huge. We got a Gyro that was big enough to share with 2 sides that were definitely family size $16.99. Also, we had the Saganoki - OPA Cheese too.
JENNIFER L — Google review
Second time in a week to come in to eat breakfast. This time with our daughter. Great food as always. Eggs still cooked to perfection. Place is “thick” with cooking in the air as it’s open but so worth it.
Melly J — Google review
I was very disappointed with my visit. I got the fish dinner and for $16 it is not worth it. The fries were soggy, the fish was mostly greasy batter with very little fish. We also got the chicken strips and they were terrible. They appeared to be fried in overused oil. The only good thing was the server was polite. Save yourself the trip and eat elsewhere.
Hector I — Google review
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience here. I came with two friends, and after being seated, we placed our orders. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty — only about three other tables, all of which were already eating — it still took over 50 minutes for our food to arrive. That alone was ridiculous. When my food finally came, I was shocked. I had ordered a sirloin steak, but what I got instead was a cold, unseasoned burger patty. And get this — the server even admitted it was burger meat and said that’s just what they use. That’s completely unacceptable. If it’s not steak, don’t call it steak. I felt misled and ripped off. To make matters worse, the server brought me hash browns instead of fries, and when I asked for the correct item, she came back and literally dropped a basket of fries on the table, saying, “Good thing we had some sitting on the counter!” The fries were cold, soggy, and clearly old. The entire time there I saw three homeless people walking in and out of the bathroom and even a people asking us for rides! This entire experience felt unsafe. I paid over $20 for a meal that was misrepresented, poorly made, and served with a complete lack of care. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had, and I’ll be telling others to avoid this place entirely.
Valerie V — Google review
I came here from nyc, very hungry in search of meatloaf… amazing….. enough said. They were short on supplies like Parmesan for their salad, otherwise meatloaf was perfect.,,,

My husband and I have been wanting to try this restaurant, but I was disappointed. The food is good with attentive servers. My husband ordered the Hippie Hash breakfast. He did like it. My food was okay. The food is 3 1/2 stars 🌟. For the amount of food on the plate, it's overpriced. I might go back; I'm not sure.

The food and service was SO tasty and beautifully done! My sister and I got some rolls off the menu and then a chef special that was created on-the-spot....FABULOUS!! Our server Yaz was the BEST!! She rocks y'all! See the pics of our food choices 😋🤤😋🤤 We got extra food for Leftovers/ varieties 😊😊💜 Two of our dishes aren't listed...our hot app and a Papa something roll with eel sauce.

We decided to take advantage of the nice evening and have “Sushi Night With Grandpa” with the grandson who is in from out of town for his summer visit. He really enjoyed the California roll and I enjoyed the tuna sashimi and nigiri. Was able to get immediate seating. All of the staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. The Lake Lansing road noise wasn’t intrusive. Didn’t have to speak loud to hear over the traffic.

Got a to go order. Staff was friendly and personable. Service was quick. The ex-girlfriend was so good with the perfect amount of crunch and spice!! Next time we'll have to sit. The atmosphere is very welcoming.

Tonight was my first time here in a very long time. (I moved out of state and only recently got back.) Happy to be back in Michigan so I can patronize this amazing business again! The food was outstanding. The tea was exquisite. The interior design, tableware and service was better than I remember. A divine experience for sure. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars across the board is because of the number of birthday parties in the house during my visit. Not the restaurants fault of course but I was hoping for a more low key visit. Next time maybe. I’ll definitely be back regardless. The food and excellent service fed my soul. 💯

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food. I've been to maru in grand rapids, and I can say both locations are amazing. Great service, even better food. Nice quiet place for meeting up.

Excellent sushi 🍣 Great Service Matt thanks for taking care of us. I enjoyed my iced tea very much. We'll be back again.

We spent $70 on sushi and got barely enough to feed one person. We love eating here in person, but to cut the orders in half for take out and still charge the same price is absolutely insane. In the restaurant we would get double the amount of sushi.

Georgio's Pizza is a delightful small chain pizzeria that brings the essence of Italy right to your plate. Known for its mouthwatering deep-dish pies, this eatery also offers an exciting selection of global snacks and unique pizza slices that cater to diverse tastes. As you step inside Georgio's, you'll be enveloped in a warm ambiance reminiscent of traditional Italian pizzerias, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions.
Most people local to East Lansing probably already know about this gem. If you are ever in the area, new MSU prospects/families, you need to check it out. Be warned though the slices are big and filling. I got three slices for myself to take home to the Macomb County area. Pictured is the taco pizza iirc. It's just as good as the potato pizza and the bacon and pepperoni pizza I got. Definitely looking forward to the opportunity to get more of their delicious pizza over the next several years. GO GREEN!

I remember having this pizza a long time ago. And I loved their rice pudding. I was in the area the other day and I decided to pop in. I got the pizza slice, breadstick, and pop combo with rice pudding on the side. Extremely disappointed. The breadatick was a large dry crust of bread with hard cheese on top. Pizza was OK, nothing to remember but the thing I was looking forward to the most was the rice pudding. I couldn't even wait to get home. I took the lid off and had a big bite... The rice was still hard and severely undercooked. The "pudding" was so runny it nearly spilled. It was awful. I decoded to scoop from the bottom to see if maybe it just needed to be stirred in (I knew better but I wanted so much for it to be like I remembered) Before I took my bite I noticed a huge black curly hair in it! (Pictures included) I am beyond disgusted. I threw the rest of my food away. I will never visit again. Customer service was OK, they acted like it was an inconvenience to be there. But as someone who works in food service, I get it. Some days are hard. Still I had to remind them of my pop, and my rice pudding, even though I bought it all only moments before. Sometimes when my experience is not good, I'll try again on a different day. I will never come back here . :/

Off the main drag, but worth a stop. Large slices of pizza with multiple options. Staff is very friendly. I was here on Wednesday for lunch out of school and it was busy. I can only image during school. Stuffed spinach was very good!
Food_from_the_usa — Google review
Stopped in to try a slice of pizza. Had a slice of the pepperoni and mushroom and a slice of meat lovers stuffed pizza. Was very good. The pizza sits out for you to see the options. They take your selection and throw it in the oven to heat up which gets the crust nice and crispy. I’d definitely stop in again.

Best pizza in the Lansing area, which says a lot as we have so many amazing pizza joints. The baked potato w/ bacon and sour cream is a must. But there is the nacho, taco, spicy chicken pesto, gyro, ect. All are delicious. It is a must for food in the Lansing area.
Kriger — Google review
A cozy little campus mainstay with lots of pizza varieties to choose from. With so much variety, it's tough to keep em fresh, so they will pop them back in the ovens to warm them up. The restaurant is clean and the guys behind the counter are helpful and friendly. A couple of their large slices will fill you up!

I have been eating here since 2010 when I started at MSU. It was one of the first lunches that I ever ate near campus. I had the pepperoni and bacon and it was delicious. I probably stopped in once or twice a week for my entire time at MSU and now I have to stop in for a slice whenever I’m in East Lansing. The staff is friendly and kind. The prices are good and the slices are huge. I now bring my 3 kids along and we always have a great meal at Georgio’s. They devour slices of cheese, my wife enjoys the pesto tomato, and I still get my favorite pepperoni and bacon. Food can be so much more than food when it becomes a place of gathering and fellowship. Thankful for all the memories here.

El Oasis is a popular food truck known for serving up generous portions of Mexican street food like tacos and sopes. It's a favorite spot for locals, offering dishes like chorizo quesadillas on corn tortillas that are described as perfect. The food truck has also been hired for events, with guests fondly remembering the taco man passing around platters of food. Customers praise the consistently excellent quality of the food, preferring it over fast-food chains like Taco Bell.
We ordered pollo tacos and pastor tacos with additional sauce, both are delicious. So we tried pollo quesadillas, which were very good. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes Mexican food. Much better than a dining restaurant in Okemos and Lansing. I will for sure visit again to try tamales ( when I visited they are not available).

My favorite Mexican spot, the food is always done quick, tasty, and for a great price. I love it here! Highly recommend. Support your local food trucks!
Zee — Google review
I used to get tacos here all the time and they were good. I haven't been in a few years. Today's meal was like a kids meal with mini street tacos. It was supposed to be Bria. The meat is just dried up shredded roast with absolutely no seasoning, they put so much cheese on it that taste like mozzarella. I can't even taste the taco. And they weren't any bigger than my pinky. Then it comes with two tablespoons of rice and two tablespoons of beans. It look like a kids meal. For $13.99 I will find somewhere else that serves full size tacos. That knows how to actually cook the meat.
Dawn R — Google review
I've gotten El Oasis 20+ times, and it's consistently excellent. Whenever I want fast Mexican food, I go there instead of Taco Bell, and it's always so much better and a better value. El Oasis especially needs our support now with the construction on Michigan. You can get there by taking a right on Francis off Saginaw. Today, I got the asada big burrito. It hit the spot. Plenty of fresh ingredients evenly disbursed. I also love their breakfast burrito, tortas, and sopas. The food is always ready in 10 to 15 minutes. Get some!

Everything about this place is great, number one being the food! The food is always on point! Their authentic style tacos are my absolute favorite, you can never go wrong with whichever meat choice you prefer! Their service is excellent! The staff are always happy to help and give good recommendations! The atmosphere is almost perfect! I gave it 4 stars only because the music choices were inauthentic to the experience in my opinion. Overall, this is thee best taco spot in Lansing! 10/10!

Love their burritos and there's plenty of seating and my son loves the swing seats with a table to eat at. Best burritos in town! Honestly I haven't gotten past the burritos to try anything else but still an awesome place to eat on a nice summer day.

I ordered El Oasis for a work lunch and it was AMAZING. They were friendly, easy to order online, and most importantly, the food was amazing. We had some specific allergy requests that were followed, which is a huge plus for me. I did drive past them and had to double back, but I did eventually find the food truck. Definitely will be going back!

We always enjoy El Oasis, and this visit was mostly no exception. The food quality was great – very flavorful and satisfying. There was a small issue where our order came out incorrectly, which was a bit of a surprise. However, even the wrong items were delicious! Despite the mix-up, we still had a positive experience overall and remain big fans of El Oasis. We'll be back!

Soup Spoon Café delivers a delightful dining experience. Service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and efficient. The atmosphere is fun with just the right touch of quirky charm. The menu offers a wide variety, making it hard to choose (in the best way). Everything we tried was well-prepared and delicious. We left happy and already planning our next visit.

This is an interesting place. My breakdown is as follows. Food wise, there are choices for everyone. The important thing to remember is that it is a café. I believe some items are very basic and others exceptional. I tried the seafood soup and it was one of the best I've ever had and is one of maybe two or three they sell year round others are rotational. Yet my club sandwhich though tasty was basic. The service is very good for how busy it can get. I advise getting reservations especially on the weekend. The atmosphere is what makes it a popular place. It is well lit and the wall color schemes made me feel like I was in an Italian wine cellar with whites and light browns. A great place for wine and conversation or catching up with a friend.

If you are near MSU this is a great spot for comfort food. The Ruben sandwich was very good. It was not piled high with corned beef which made it more enjoyable. The staff are no nonsense and right to the point. Great looking menu with lots of choices.

We love the Soup Spoon. It is a local restaurant featuring made from scratch entrees. Their breakfast is awesome and so is pretty much all of their food. We were in for lunch. They also have a nice drink menu and I got a banana bread old fashioned. A nice twist on a classic drink. Their soups are so good and so are their sandwiches.

A place where everyone is treated like family and the food brings you comfort! Immediately upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with warm smiles and a great conversation with the manager/owner, who ended up bringing us a taste of Greek liquor! Our server was efficient and kind, constantly checking in on us. Food-wise, it was phenomenal. The seafood chowder was delicious and my seasonal pasta was super filling and overall a top pasta dish. Could not recommend this place more for a stop into Lansing, whether you’re here to visit MSU or are just passing through! It’s a place that makes everyone feel like they’re home and the food/service certainly reflects that!

Heard about the road closure in front affecting business, so I decided to eat there show some love their way. Clearly, while less crowded than the time I went four years ago, business is still doing good-and so is their food. Had a San Fran Bennie (Benedict) and did not disappoint. Eggs cooked perfectly with perfectly seasoned hollandaise alongside a thin hash brown made with a little extra crunch, just how I like it. The chefs know what they’re doing. While I rarely go to restaurants-this is a gem of a restaurant in Lansing (do not miss!)

The MSU Dairy Store is a popular spot at Michigan State University, offering homemade cheeses and creative ice cream flavors. The store uses milk from MSU cows to create delicious treats like Beaumont Brownie Bliss and Tuckers Scoop & Score. While it can get busy with locals, the wait is worth it. In addition to its delectable offerings, the store also serves soups and sandwiches. Visitors can explore the W.J.
This is not your ordinary ice cream. They have won ice cream awards including this year for number one college ice cream shop. They make all their ice cream on campus from the dairy cows. It's personally One of the past if not the past ice creams in Michigan. If you stop by when they're busy, lines can be out the door. If you have a craving for some really Amazing ice cream It will be worth it!

We got the mini for $3 each, the portion sizes were good. Service was fast and staff were friendly. However, the flavors were very mid/average. We got their two signatures. one was a vanilla with caramel and nuts , the other was vanilla with chocolate chunks and malt. We had high hopes as visitors to MSU, waiting in line for 30 minutes and for a place so famous. The first flavor I couldn’t taste what nuts there were because the pieces were so tiny, and the second flavor tasted like overwhelmingly fake chocolate. Both were also sickeningly sweet, neither of us could finish more than half of the mini size without feeling nauseous. Not good at all for us.

Tried the ice cream at the MSU Dairy Store and it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were so rich, creamy, and fresh—it instantly reminded me of the authentic taste of ice cream back home in India. There’s something truly special about the texture and flavor here that sets it apart from the usual options in the U.S. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the entire experience felt warm and nostalgic. You can tell the ice cream is made with care and top-quality ingredients. Highly recommend this place if you're craving something sweet, flavorful, and truly satisfying. For me, it was a little taste of India right here in Michigan! 🇮🇳🍨💚

Price is unbeatable. For $2.5 you get a big scoop, and waffle cone is additional 50cents. The flavor is lacking for the one I ordered though. Thought I had a peach flavor ice cream cus I couldn’t taste anything besides sugar, and then was reminded this is suppose to be a mango flavor ice cream. I think other flavors might taste better and will come back to try.

I would definitely recommend everyone to try the Dairy Store ice cream. The ice cream is made right on campus, the flavors are rich, creamy, and constantly rotating with seasonal options. The serving sizes are generous, and the scoops are packed with flavor you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. A must try for all Spartans!!

Such a gem. The ice cream is insanely good, super creamy, tons of flavor options, and crazy cheap for the quality. Staff’s always friendly, and the vibe just feels classic college. It’s one of those spots you can’t go wrong with. 5/5.

I want to preface this review by saying that my wife and I are currently mug club members at LBC and really loved this place at first. It actually sucks to give such a low review to a place I really wanted to love. But everytime we go in we are met by poorly trained staff and wrong hours. We met an old friend we haven’t seen in years here for dinner or at the very least a drink last Sunday at 5pm and we were met with a LOCKED front door. There was still customers eating outside and inside so we stood out front for a few minutes thinking someone would come along. Nope, no one did. They desperately need to get their hours right. Seems like everytime I’ve gone in the past couple of months they’ve been wrong. We ended up going down the road to sidecar slider bar where the food and drinks aren’t nearly as good as LBC but at least the servers know what they’re actually doing and we were served promptly. Also I called today to see about the promo they have posted on their Facebook pictured below. I’ve been wanting to try their Oktoberfest and figured if I could get a cool tacker sign with it that would be pretty sweet. When I asked I was put on hold for roughly 5 minutes just to be told “the contest ends tomorrow, then we will decide the winner of that”. I told the young lady you must of misunderstood me. It’s a sign you get with a 6 pack. It’s posted on Facebook. She said “oh! Facebook! Let me ask again” was put on hold again and when she came back she brought up the same exact contest. Clearly in the photo you can see this is not a “contest”. Seems every visit to LBC over the last couple months has been plagued with terrible training and confusion. My wife and I went roughly a month ago and the server had absolutely no idea that there was specials on the menu, and also had no idea the mug club even existed?? I had to explain to her, as the customer what the mug club was. Why? I really loved LBC at first, and had every intention of buying more merch and being a lifetime customer/club member. It felt like they really cared about Lansing, its history, and its people. But now it feels like just another corporation and their customers are just dollar signs to them.

Fun, downtown brewery close to the Lugnuts Stadium and the Capitol. Seating was plenty, both indoors and outdoors. The food was delicious with a variety of menu items to choose from. We enjoyed the Spartan Dip and Garlic Parmesan Bread Bites for appetizers. For dinner, we had everything from the Sweet Potato Salad, Ribeye, Mac & Cheese, Chef Salad, to the Chicken Tenders. Service was a bit lacking. It was difficult to get our waitresses attention, and then when we were ready for the bill, we saw her clock out and leave. It was until about 10 minutes later another person from behind the bar came to our table and when we asked if she had left, we were told she could leave because it was slow and that tips are shared. It wasn't slow, and our 2 other tables of 4+ experienced this.

Not a busy place Sunday at noon. Our server (Peter) did a great job of taking care of us. I was a little disappointed in the limited menu, but I sure do understand that staffing a full kitchen for a slow Sunday is tough, too. We enjoyed watching some football during lunch and had a game of corn hole outside before we left. Great time!
Correy S — Google review
Spacious venue with adequate food and below average beer. It's said that it's difficult to do both beer and food well, but Lansing Brewing Company has settled for doing both in a rather mediocre fashion. Of the beers I tried the Mexican lager was probably the best, with the Vienna lager in second. The ales are not very good. They could probably go a longer distance with a good staff, but their servers are more interested in socializing at the bar than tending to their tables. A server should never be literally seated at the bar talking while they have open tickets.
Andy G — Google review
Our first visit and we chose to sit at the bar so we could ask about the various beers. The beers we tried were very good and their cocktail menu looked good too. Ordered a burger and it was large, juicy and delicious, but a little messy. We were not given or offered any silverware or napkins when our food came. I kept stealing the little drink bar napkins until I finally got the servers attention to ask for a real napkin. Big service miss in my eyes especially since it was not very busy and we were always right there in front of the two people behind the bar.
Barbara J — Google review
Typical gastro pub. Food is not as important to most patrons as the drinks. Not that the food is bad, just average while the choices in each category is more limited than a normal restaurant. I tried the shrimp mac and cheese since I was told it wasn't spicy. It was spicy and the shrimp was on the side. Another in our party got the rock shrimp since she was told it wasn't spicy and had to take the breading off to eat it. Music a little loud, but still able to hear that people at the table. They seem to have lots of seating but on busy times you should get a reservation.

We came here in the mid afternoon and it was pretty quiet. We sat down and waited to be greeted by a server for over 10 minutes, ordered our drinks and then we had a new server. Went to Lansing because I was missing proper home food and it did not disappoint! Amazing food and service! We ordered chicken boneless biryani, spicy version and it was so delicious! We are Pakistani so we can handle our spice and it was actually a good amount of spice and also tasty! Ordered chicken Bhunaista, so flavorful and tangy not sweet at all. Ordered chicken 65 it was so crispy and tasty! Ordered veg thali that had alot of curry option and all of them were so good also came with gulab jamun! None of the dishes we ordered disappointed. I definitely recommend this to any one travelling by or wanting to have good desi food. Server was also very sweet!

I and my partner have been going almost weekly to dine at the Swagath weekend buffet. We love the medley of vegetarian and chicken curries, lightly fried foods, and surprise dishes, seems to be authentic south and north Indian essential dishes. The spices are wonderful. They provide soft tasty naan. The buffet changes a little each week. We have 2 complaints. I hope management responds to them. One: this past month the restaurant raised the price of their buffet from 15 to 16 dollars silently with no announcement of any kind. I imagine there's a tariff now on spice and rice from India. Maaaaybe it's not their fault. But I am a bit annoyed. Two: bigger issue. The buffet NEEDS to have chai. This is a near deal breaker. Provide chai and I will have no problem with the extra dollar. - peeved regular

Amazingly accommodated our very large party to celebrate! Separate checks - no problem! Fantastic service. Not all the food was GREAT but will go back to try other things!

This place has been around a long time. Typically, you'll get some good service here last night, with no exception. But sometimes depending on you know game day sis at the other things you know the place can be crowded but in general it's a great atmosphere you'll see in the pictures what it's like good service food quality is usually really up to Snuff my Burgers you'll see in the picture was a little overcooked I don't know what's up with that maybe someone needs you talk to a new cook that's in there I'm not sure. I ordered it medium rare but told her medium is fine, and that's what I got. I'm just saying, but don't let that detract you from the quality of the food, but if you're ordering a burger in the next week or so, you might want to emphasize, don't overcook it. Other than that, the place has always been an enjoyable experience.

I love this place! I was referred by a few friends to try out the breakfast and had some time to stop by. I may be a little bias being a huge Rolling Stones fan but I absolutely loved the food and drinks. Callie was friendly and everything she recommended was great! Will now be my Sunday spot!

Visited on Saturday during East Lansing’s art fair. No wait for a table, but the servers seemed a bit overwhelmed. Excusable due to the event though. The brunch was simply outstanding. I had the veggie bowl and was impressed. My 11 year old got The King, which is basically a cross between French toast and bananas foster. She gave it 5 stars. It’s a little dark inside and feels more bar than restaurant, but not so much that it’s weird to eat there with kids. Overall, I say it’s one of the best breakfast/brunch spots in Mid-Michigan.

Nestled in the heart of East Lansing, Harrison Roadhouse is a vibrant bar and grill that captures the essence of a lively gathering spot. With an impressive selection of craft beers on tap and a menu brimming with hearty pub fare, it’s no wonder this establishment draws both students and locals alike. The inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a game day experience. Guests can also take advantage of the spacious patio, ideal for soaking up some sun while sipping on house cocktails.
We had my son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law’s wedding rehearsal dinner here. The managers were so easy to work with! We chose 5 options from their menu to create a short menu for our guests, so each guest could order what they wanted from that menu. The special menus were beautifully designed using the wedding colors. We had several guests who needed gluten food options, and 4 of the 5 options on our menu were gluten free or had a gluten free option for it (GF buns and pasta are available open request) We were in the Glass House out the front of the restaurant, which was beautiful, and private. They had just gotten new tables and flooring, too. The food was excellent!! MANY of our guests commented about how good the food was. We had a server dedicated to just our group. They communicated well and allowed us to decide how we wanted dinner to go. I HIGHLY recommend Harrison Roadhouse!!!!

Not a bad restaurant by any means. The food is good, though I think it is a bit on the pricey side most things over $15... the inside was nice and cool on a hot day and the outside of the restaurant is taken care of with flowers etc. The front door could be labled better though. Would definitely eat here again. The onion rings were perfect.

The only good thing about my time at the roadhouse was my server. The food was absoultely disgusting. The bun was hard as a rock burnt, the hamburger tasted like wet cardboard. It was supposed to be an olive burger, but not enough olives to taste them. The fries were burned. The wait for the food was over 30 minutes which was a lot for a place that was empty inside with only a few people outside. The table I sat at was gross, it was sticky with debri on it. The server wiped it down and it still was sticky and gross. The mustard bottle at the table had dried mustard on the cap. The interior in general looked dirty and ran down. I dont recommend Harrison Roadhouse and will nkt be returning.

Had an engagement party on the patio, staff was friendly and food was great! Only reason for 2 stars on food is they were unable to accommodate a vegan diet as they ran out of their black bean burgers.

🧀 Mac & Cheese with Bacon - (10/10) Great flavor, price was justified, about $14. Would get again. 🌯 Cajun Chicken Burrito - (6/10) It was good, nothing crazy, price of $13 I believe, wasn’t justified. Friendly staff, wasn’t busy, food was quick. Liked the atmosphere. I would go again!

My director and I ordered lunch to-go today from Harrison Roadhouse, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Emily took my order over the phone and was incredibly kind and helpful. I had asked for the food to be ready by a specific time so my director could pick it up after a meeting, and Emily went above and beyond—she even called back when there was a slight delay to let us know the order was ready and to make sure it wouldn’t get cold. The Nashville hot sandwich was delicious—crispy, flavorful, and held up great despite being in a to-go container. The fries were excellent, and my director really enjoyed her nachos. We’ll definitely be ordering from Harrison Roadhouse again!

Burmese restaurant
Restaurant
Naing Myanmar Family Restaurant is a cozy, family-owned eatery in Lansing that serves up traditional Thai and Burmese dishes. The restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere where patrons can enjoy noteworthy confections and unique tea leaf salad. The friendly service adds to the incredible dining experience at this casual Burmese restaurant.
Awesome spot for authentic food in Michigan! Worth the stop! We got the garlic chicken plate, the mango sticky rice, the Tom yum soup and a tea leaf salad. Unfornately the tea leaf salad wasn’t added to our bag but the portions were so generous that we were satisfied anyways (+ with left overs). The chicken was so flavorful and it came with a side of some type of tangy fish sauce. I had heard a lot about the soup before coming and it definitely lived up to the hype- so flavorful and packed with ingredients and noodles on the side. The place has a market attached filled with hard to find ingredients and snacks, awesome to browse while you wait for your take out. There is no customer seating for dining in. Will be back to explore more of the menu.

There is nothing like a tea leaf salad, it is mind blowingly delicious. Burmese food in general never disappoints. The fried squash is an also must. So happy to have these authentic, complex flavors in Michigan
Joe B — Google review
The food they serve here is hard to find in big cities. The fermented tea leaf salads and somtum here are well made. We always stop by whenever we are in Lansing. It's an Asian grocery store that serves food. For now its a take out restaurant, but soon they will have a sit-down eating area. I can't talk highly enough on the dishes they prepare. If you've never tried Lao cuisine, start with the thai dishes and work your way into the Lao dishes.
Joseph S — Google review
The food is delicious and it's family owned, which I love. They are take out only but have a small store that has some items I love. I tried lychee aloe juice. It was my first time trying that flavor, but I loved it. They have odds and ends and items that would allow you to embrace more of their culture while getting quality odds and ends. I used my walker and was easy to get around. They have a bathroom inside. If you need to wait in your car, especially if a rough day with disability they are willing and kind enough to walk it to your car. When the young lady did, she was so quiet. We were going to go back in ten minutes but looked up and she right there holding are steaming hot food with a smile. I love seafood, and my dish was delicious. The spring rolls were amazing, and sauce is a must. They have a menu with pictures if needed as well.

Top notch Burmese food! We hunt for great Burmese places all over the USA and abroad, and this is a great one! Food quality and variety here are very good. What makes this place special are the hard working owners, we’d never met before but they were very gracious and fun to talk to, especially about cooking Burmese. They do the cooking and everything else, but service was still fairly quick. Most of their business is take out, but they had some informal outdoor seating which we used. I love Nan Gyi Thoke (“big noodle salad”) and theirs is excellent, spicy with nice chicken and sauce and big thick noodles just like one gets in Mandalay, Myanmar. So good, honestly I almost cried for joy eating it! Their Mohinga soup and Lahpet Thoke (tea leaf salad) are also authentic and so tasty. People of Lansing: while here, we met a few of you who know and love this place, but please know you have the real deal on Burmese food here, come here and try it!

This is very authentic food that is delicious. I’m eating the fried Gord and I ordered the salad. Really incredible flavor on the sauce for the fried Gord. The salad is incredible! it’s a tiny hole in the wall and I took a chance because you’re literally sitting on a stool and a tiny table outside looking at the parking lot, but the food is worth it. The prices are good. And there’s a little store attached to the window where you get your food because it’s not a normal restaurant, (but sooo flavorful!!) The things in the store are cute! The woman who took care of my food is extremely friendly.

I had the Larb salad and spring rolls. I have never had a dish so delicious and flavorful as Larb! Words cannot describe. It is bright, lemony, satiating and slightly nutty. This was like a flavor explosion! I have dreamt about this dish for weeks since trying. I will be back next time I visit Lansing! The spring rolls are also top notch. Very, very delicious and great quality! Price is unbeatable also.

Restaurant
Pablo's Mexican Restaurant (Old Town) is a charming, family-owned eatery that has become a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. The restaurant offers classic taqueria fare with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Specialties include la tortas, Mexican sandwiches filled with veggies, beans, and cheese, as well as fresh chips and salsa. In addition to its delicious dinner options, Pablo's also serves up a delightful brunch featuring dishes like chilaquiles.
I see why this small restaurant with fantastic decor always seems busy when I'm in Old Town. The chilaquiles I got were good and plentiful for $11. The huevos con chorizo my husband got were good though the chorizo wasn't as spicy as we were expecting and as plentiful as my plate was, his plate wasn't as generous with the huevos con chorizo. The low point was the hochata which tasted like it was made from a mix with artificial sweeteners which is all we could taste. Overall, I'd at least recommend it as a good Mexican restaurant that's open late.

Waitress fast but not courteous or attentive. Only came to drop off food and drop off bill. Asked for salsa but got extremely hot sauce, when I asked again she said that is salsa. There was 3 different kinds in their frig, red, orange, and green. Food was very good. Music a bit loud. Very cool booths, clean tables and chairs.

Ordered a wet burrito with Carnitas. That's what I usually get when trying a new place. The staff was friendly, and it took about 10 minutes. When I got it back to my office I started to eat it and about the first 4 bites were Carnitas. I was expecting other items as well. Then I got rice. The rest of the burrito was noting but rice. Not what I expected for the price. Next time I'll just keep going up Larch.

Great place. I had the fajitas which were made wonderfully as food cooked just right. I found it funny the flour tortillas came out hotter than the food. I also had the hibiscus drink called Jaimica which I had never had. I don't think everyone would like it but I did. My only critique for a 4 is two factors. First, because I'm a single male, the waitress seated me in the middle aisle without suggesting a booth. Second, I had to ask for my silverware. Overall, good food.

you don’t understand. this place is perfect down to the fact that i JUST now finished my chips and salsa at the EXACT same time. service? fire. food? fire. whatever else you would need? fire. need proof? added a photo. couldn’t take a before bc i ate it so fast.

Enjoyed lunch here during the chalk art event in Old Town. Everyone enjoyed their meals and was reasonably priced. Gluten-free options are available.
Jeff M — Google review
I recently visited Pablo's Mexican Restaurant in Oldtown, having heard it touted as the best in the area. While I appreciate that different regions have their own culinary styles, Overall, my impression was that the flavors at Pablo's felt somewhat muted or adapted, leading to what I'd describe as a "whitey taco" experience – perhaps catering to a palate that prefers less bold, authentic Mexican flavors. I understand that regional variations exist, and perhaps this style of menudo is preferred by many in Lansing. However, for those accustomed to a different preparation, like the more sauce-and-large-meat-focused versions, Pablo's menudo might not hit the mark. The bland lingua was also a letdown. While I hear great things about their other offerings😉, these two dishes simply weren't for me.

Food was very different but good. Stew was spicy and flavorful. Recommend trying the combo beef/chix with mild and spicy versions. Also liked the option to do half rice and half of the spongy sourdough bread to make it easier to eat and try out each one. The sauteed cabbage on the side was also good. Service was good and atmosphere was nice as well. I have to admit I had no idea what to expect from Ethiopian food, but this was good overall - but maybe not for everyone.

(i) The indoor decor is stunning and unique. I have not seen this type of interior design in other restaurants. (ii) The washrooms were so clean and spacious that it made me feel like I was at home (This point is usually not noticeable or not written in a review for restaurants) (iii) I went in a group of six, and we tried both veg and non-veg food. The food was delicious and better than some of the Indian restaurants I have visited. My only complaint is that the sambusas are a bit oily.

Cask & Company Kitchen & Bar is a contemporary sports bar-style eatery that offers an extensive menu featuring diverse cuisines such as Mexican, Sushi, American, and Indian. The food served here goes beyond typical bar fare, with elevated flavors and quality. This restaurant provides a wide range of appetizers, entrees, and desserts in various food categories.
This was the first restaurant to catch our attention when looking for nearby options. We were not disappointed! The atmosphere is comfortable, Staff was friendly and personable.. also, important to me- not fake. True personalities and I appreciate that. They even gave great recommendations on menu choices and even other things to do nearby. The food and drinks are 🫶🥰🤌 We noticed that everyone at the bar was eating sushi, which helped us decide, maybe that was the way to go on their versatile menu of American and Asian cuisine. No regrets. I would eat there weekly if I lived in town. I will be craving their food! I will be making a 4 hour trip soon just for this experience, alone. Thank you!

Awesome place for food or drinks, large parties or small. I highly recommend the Crab Rangoon Dip. The cheese on top is wonderful and complements the crab perfectly. Terrific sushi rolls. The Great Wall and the Yummy Crunch were amazing.

I don't really know how to describe it, it's not really my cup of tea when it comes to the menu. So I'm not sure exactly how to describe it other than to say Eastern type of menu. Alot of fish sushi that type of thing. But they do, do a good job with their burgers never had their hanger steak but I'm quite sure it's tasty based on the things I have had here. Anyway they do a real nice job with the front porch. You'd never believed that sitting on top of five heavily moving streets in boulevards in a big shopping center across the street that goes down into a valley! Very pleasant atmosphere considering all that's just on the other side of the blinders and as you can see from the pictures inside is fairly stylish and classy.

From the moment we walked in we were treated very nicely. The staff is amazing. Wayne our server was phenomenal and very helpful. The food was top-notch. Especially the sushi 🍣 😋
Savana B — Google review
Decent establishment but I won’t be back. My wife and I went here on a date recently. The food was good but not really standout, generic upscale bar food that is only separate from lower priced options due to the ingredients being of higher quality, but those elevated ingredients were not prepared in an elevated manner. I could have made that at home for half the cost. Portions were reasonable. Service was okay. Waiter was helpful enough but not particularly friendly. The host also moved us to a different table because they needed the table for a bigger party which wasn’t a huge deal but was still an inconvenience. The ambiance is somewhere between a more upscale establishment and a bar and it almost works but ends ultimately feels just a little jumbled.
Jim M — Google review
The whole experience was great. They were able to accommodate our large group in the bar area. We went at a perfect time, there was literally zero wait. Everything was great. The food was made to order from scratch, even the kids chicken tenders were made from a batter! The sushi, hibachi, burgers, wings, Mac and cheese were honestly delish. The only complaint was the nachos and loaded fries were extremely spicy, but still good overall. Great options for my vegetarian, and she enjoyed her dish. The adult beverages were fantastic! The variety of beers was a nice touch. Parking is tight, and located on a very busy street. Overall will definitely be back when in East Lansing.
Layla S — Google review
Stopped in on my way out of Lansing for lunch. The service was prompt, initially, and I got my beer within a couple minutes of sitting down. The beer was cold, though I wasn't a fan of the flavor, no problem there, though. My second beer choice kicked a few seconds after pouring, so i had to go for the third option. Alright, it is what it is. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with naan. It was tragic. Like a non-Indians first attempt at tikka masla at home, from a recipe they found on an online blog posted by someone who wasn't Indian. It was thin, with big tomato chunks, unmarinated strips of chicken instead of chunks, the wrong flavor profile from the spices, wrong color, and the saddest naan I've ever seen that would have been better from Walmart. It was also accompanied with plain white rice. Not even basmati. I've been to every corner fo the USA, and I've ate Tikka Masala in more cities than I can count. This was the worst by far. BY FAR. Also, at $21, it was one of the most expensive tikka masala's I've ever had, and THE smalles5 portion I've ever had. I took 3 bites, pushed it to the end of the bar, and 10-15 minutes later the bartender asks: "Do you want a box?" I laughed and asked for the check.
West C — Google review
I saw another review say that it's just upscale bar food. If you order bar food, you'll get upscale bar food, and holy crap is it good! Get the fried pickle spears, you won't be disappointed. (Cask and co. Please don't change this item ever!) Service - Wayne was just what we needed after a stressful and exhausting week. He was attentive, and came back to check on everything multiple times. His food and drink recommendations hit the spot! It's rare that waitstaff have opinions with real descriptions. You could tell that he really liked the food he was recommending. Cask and Co is doing something right if they are letting their staff taste and enjoy everything. The result is a server like Wayne that cares and is engaged with their customers. Ok, now on to what we had. The sushi is oh so good, the basic spicy tuna, careful, it really does have some heat :-) I like spicy, so I would recommend this basic roll. The Marco Polo sushi roll was fantastic! The olive burger was great, a bit too much cream cheese, I would prefer an olive tapenade, but holy crap was that thing cooked perfectly. Normally, I don't eat fries, but these were really good. For drinks, Mee Maws Sipper which is a bourbon cocktail and it was my favorite. (It comes with the orchid) Leo's love - My partners favorite, it's him and minty and pretty tasty. Fancy Gin Cocktail - This one is Gin and St. Germaine and had some bubbles and was an excellent cocktail for the summer! Come here if you get the chance, you won't be disappointed and the money is worth spending. Tip well for good service, they deserve it.

Dagwood's Tavern & Grill is a classic American eatery known for its handcrafted burgers and grill specialties. The casual ambiance, complete with patio dining and sports on TV, makes it a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. Customers rave about the delicious food, particularly the mouthwatering burgers and perfectly seasoned hand-cut fries. Despite being busy during game days, the friendly staff ensures excellent service while patrons enjoy their meals in a lively atmosphere.
Quite the local experience! This placed seems to be a local favorite and was packed! Understandable as many of the items (burgers, fish sandwich) were $5, pretty unheard of these days. Three of us had a meal for under $30, and it was delicious! Most expensive thing I got was a$7 IPA!

Dagwood is a great little community bar with a great reputation. Things I liked and believe you will too: decent size parking lot, burger and app prices that are cheeper than McDonalds a burger for less than $5 is what makes America great!, bathrooms that for a bar are surprisingly clean, generally quiet atmosphere, and friendly staff. Things I didn't like and why I give it a 4 out of 5: When I came in there was no seat yourself sign so I stood there waiting like an idiot until I asked a staffer and second it is a bit dark for old eyes. I suggest some candles or table lighting. I will say my favorite appetizer so far though I wished there were more in the basket was the cheese sticks.

Went in on Thursday for their lunch special (rotates weekly). 2 Brats, onions and pepper, with mustard and a bag of chips for $7.25. Very good food, very good vibes. This hole in the wall joint is worth your time for a quick bite, booze and a crowd.

This was my first visit here. If I lived in Lansing area, I would make this place a regular stop. The food, service, and atmosphere are all great. What is outstanding are the prices! If you get their All Day Soecial, you can get burger, fries and drinks for a price less than what you would pay for a burger alone at other places!. If you haven't been here yet, you need to get there. I know when I am traveling through Lansing in the future, I will be stopping.

I had such a great experience at Dagwood’s! Our waitress, Jamie, was absolutely amazing! friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You could tell she really cared about making sure we had a good time. On top of that, she had great menu recommendations that totally hit the spot. Clean place, welcoming staff, I’d stay there for hours working on my laptop, great environment. Love their salads, and even though I don’t drink coffee, I loved the smell of theirs, it has cherrie scent in their coffees. I wasn’t a fan of their peanut-butter cupcakes. But I loved their apple pie, pecan pie, blackberry pie, cherry pie & ABC (apple berry & cherry) pie. Try them all.

Was there to pick up a birthday treat that I ordered online but when I got there one of the managers told me they were unfortunately out of two of my three items. I said it was ok but they bent over backwards to make things right and ended up giving me a bunch of extra treats! They were all DELICIOUS of course and I shared some with my coworkers the next day!

Delicious fresh baked pies and sandwiches. The breakfast sandwich is particularly good, and the soup is always wonderful. Comfortable seating and a nice quiet atmosphere, perfect for a lunch meet-up or to sit and study/work. I also appreciate that they have different varieties of pie each time we go!

Charlie Kang's Restaurant is a cozy Chinese and Korean eatery located in East Lansing, known for its authentic and freshly made entrees. The restaurant offers a wide range of traditional dishes, from Sweet and Sour Chicken to Mongolian Beef, available for dine-in, takeout, or delivery. Customers rave about the flavorful Kimchi Fried Rice with chicken and the must-try Cold Noodles. The portions are generous and well-seasoned, making it a perfect spot to satisfy late-night cravings.
The food is great and the service is excellent! The Pad Thai is so yummy 😋 you can choose how spicy the noodles are and all dishes come with vegetables.

This place has the best food ever! I mean it’s always hot, fresh, and tasty. I have so many things I want to try. I’ll be back today however for my rice and my noodles. It’s the next day and I’m still full. Edit…. I’ve become a Charlie’s girl regular lol. This food be so good, plenty and reasonably priced. Last waitress could have done better.

Got some food delivered and it was perfect. I love Korean/Manchurian Chinese food and this place does a pretty good job, made it a very nostalgic meal. Also having an American Chinese option was great for my husband. Can't wait to try the Korean menu next time, for they had an extensive dishes that I have not seen served in other Korean restaurants.

Haven’t been back in years—still just like we remembered. Prices are fair for a college town, portions are decent. Mapo tofu and beef chow fun are solid picks. Skip the Chinese broccoli. Between Mongolian beef and chicken, definitely go beef. As someone who usually eats authentic Chinese food, this is about as guilt-free as Americanized Chinese gets.

The bibimbap at Charlie Kang's is delicious, and tastes as great as I recall from previous times eating there while in Michigan. The fresh vegetable spring rolls were nicely filled. All went down well with a lot of oolong tea. Another guest in my dinner party had the pork egg rolls with there cashew chicken. They said everything was delicious and the egg rolls were cooked perfectly. The server was friendly and professional. He was even surprised how quickly I ate my food. Parking is in an adjacent parking garage, but the walk to the restaurant isn't terrible.

We were not planning on eating much when we stopped by, but as soon as we looked at the menu, we couldn’t help ourselves. The food was fantastic, service was on point, and the atmosphere was relaxing. I absolutely recommend this place to any visitors, alumni, or students.

Great food (authentic taste), but very poor service. Had to wait 15+ minutes for someone to get the order, and had to wait 10+ minutes or so to get the food. The staff don't communicate with each other or seem very busy. Be ready to wait a lot, and wouldn't recommend if you're a small group, cause they seemed to favor 4+ groups or older folks (probably for tips). It would've been 1 star if not for the good food and portion.

Omi Sushi is a chic sushi establishment that boasts a contemporary ambiance and an extensive menu featuring both traditional dishes and unique house rolls. The culinary expertise of Chef Sang Shul Han, who has honed his skills at renowned Japanese restaurants, shines through in every bite. This East Lansing gem is perfect for special occasions like Valentine's Day, especially with their enticing offer of 50% off all wine—making it an ideal setting for a romantic evening filled with delicious sushi and fine wine.
Omi Sushi is a cute little gem that surprises you the moment you walk in. The staff are warm and welcoming, creating a laid-back, friendly atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. Start with the appetizers they’re absolutely fantastic and set the tone for the meal to come. But the real standout here is the sushi. It's truly out of this world fresh, expertly crafted, and beautifully presented. Whether you're a sushi purist or love specialty rolls, you’ll find something worth raving about. The kitchen dishes are pretty solid too. The curry, in particular, had great flavor, although the pork was just a bit on the dry side. Still enjoyable, just not the star of the show.

I haven't been to Omi since before the pandemic, I hold fold memories of making the trip up to Lansing with Omi as one of the bigger selling-points for the drive. I was not let down, quality has remained the same since before COVID, service was very good and I believe the prices remain fair for the quality. Service was good and very quick, the sushi was fresh and delicious.

I enjoy visiting. The chef well prepares really good food. The menu is tasteful. The lunch special experience is a beautiful, full service with nice, fresh, and hearty selections. I enjoy the yummy vegetables and protein. The Philadelphia and spicy salmon rolls are luscious with a slightly spicy pink sauce. Also, the small, good quality, and nicely breaded crunchy chicken katsu is great served on a crunchy bed with a brown, tasteful side sauce. I accompany with terrific garlic butter edamame pods. I wish for a cushioned or more comfortable seat. 🍱 🍣 🐥

The room is tight, with maybe 15 tables at most. Service is fast and the entrées were made well to order. The sushi was good, and the ramen a little lacklustre compared to nearby restaurants. Highly suggest the desserts, especially the mochi!

My sister was a regular at this restaurant when she attended MSU. She let me know to check it out and I have to say the food did not disappoint. The spicy tuna roll tempura and the crunchy munch 2 we're amazing. The chefs were unable to cash me out due to a language barrier, but once the cashier was available I was able to get my food and leave in order to enjoy it 😋!! I look forward to my next trip back to Lansing and of course this restaurant. I may dine in next time.

For Crepe Sake is a delightful café that celebrates the art of crepes. Nestled in East Lansing, this charming spot boasts a cozy brick-lined interior and inviting sidewalk seating. Whether you're craving sweet or savory crepes, salads, wraps, or smoothies, For Crepe Sake has got you covered. The cafe's ambiance is perfect for snapping Instagram-worthy photos while savoring delicious treats. Open from Tuesday to Sunday starting at 8 a.m.
This is our second time coming to For Crepe Sake and it was just as wonderful as the first. My friends recommended the cinnamon roll crepe which was delicious, though a tad sweet for my taste. It is definitely more of a dessert crepe. We also got the fruit tart crepe which was exactly what we were looking for. The tangy lemon balances well with the sweet cream while the fresh fruit offers a relief and keeps it from becoming overwhelmingly sweet. This place is always clean, and it didn’t matter if we came here near open or during peak hours. The staff is friendly and our crepes came quickly. Overall recommend for both couples and friends.

Our first visit this morning and so glad we popped in! Excellent, friendly customer service; delicious breakfast crepes; fantastic coffee. What more do you want? Some of the light fixtures could use a cleaning and drop ceiling tiles replaced, but otherwise the space is soothing and takes me back to European cafes. We will be back for more, soon!

Very cute contemporary place, and the breakfast crepes are Amazing. They even do latte art, and they have benches near the front windows, it feels like you're sitting in an NYC cafe. I was hungry so I forgot to take a pic before we got a couple bites.

The atmosphere and the coffee are delicious... the crepe just okay. If I'm going to pay $40 for two crepes with salad and a coffee...I kinda want to be wowed and I just wasn't. Super cool place if you love crepes though.
Lauren R — Google review
I visited For Crepe Sake on a Sunday afternoon. The hours posted on their website, Google, and FB do not match. This was confusing. I had a Lavender iced latte, blueberry goat sweet crepe, and classic savory crepe. The latte was good. The blueberry goat sweet crepe was okay; it had an - overpowering sweet taste. The classic savory wasn't great. It was very salty, and the mustard flavor overtook the flavor of ham and cheese. The atmosphere was okay, however the ceilings are very dirty. The music they had on that day to me was quite loud. I was expecting more of a cafe experience. The lady who assisted me was kind and explained the menu well. The drink and food came out quickly. I am gluten-free, not by choice, and they upcharged for this (not an issue). The cost overall is pricey, and I don't think the food was that great for the cost.

I had a Veggie Crepe to go. One of the biggest things for me was that the crepe was still warm when I got back to eat it. The ingredients were incredibly flavorful and fresh tasting as well (the sundried tomato pesto is to die for). I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a delicious and refreshing crepe. Can't wait to try my next sweet treat here! Side note, the hash browns were perfect! Crunchy on the outside, salty and fluffy on the inside. Thank you, FCS!
Dylan C — Google review
Crepes were delicious! That being said, the latte was the worst I’ve ever had (basically just milk), and the staff didn’t seem to know anything about the menu or be able to answer any questions. I know it’s a college town, but having two private restrooms without any changing tables was frustrating as well if you have children

Nip N Sip Drive In is a classic American drive-thru spot located in Lansing, MI. This old-school joint offers a limited but diverse menu featuring burgers, wings, subs, shakes, and more at great prices. The establishment operates on a cash-only basis and provides a true drive-in experience where orders are taken through car-side speakers. There is no indoor seating available; customers can either enjoy their meals in their cars or opt for takeout.
Nip N Sip is a Lansing Classic! First and most importantly, CASH ONLY, so make sure you’re prepared before you stop by. This is a true old-school drive-in experience where you order from a speaker next to your car, and they bring the food right out to you. The menu isn’t huge, but it’s got something for everyone, and the prices are fantastic! We stopped by for lunch, and the place was packed—only one or two open parking spots. There’s no indoor seating, so you either eat in your car or grab it to go. My wife ordered a corn dog, hot dog, and fries, while I went for the Turkey Sub and fries. Our order was out in no more than five minutes, which was impressive with how busy they were. The food comes in a bag, not on a tray like some drive-ins, but that didn’t matter because everything was delicious and a great value for the price. Overall, a nostalgic, no-frills spot with great food, fast service, and unbeatable prices. Highly recommend if you're in Lansing!

The double cheeseburger never disappoints. Well cooked, juicy patties, not skimpy on the toppings. Not the biggest fan of the fries (I prefer beer battered) but I LOVE their onion rings and jalapeno poppers. A must stop when we're in the Lansing area.

Finally decide to try this place out after driving by it every day and seeing the good reviews, not sure if this was just an off day or what, but I thought for $4, I would've gotten more than a small handful of fries for my order of cheese fries. Not impressed.

Been a staple in Lansing for many years. Cash only drive-in. The coneys are awesome. Detroit style with a unique flavor. I also had the double burger which was great. I will definitely be back soon. Service was quick and my food came out steaming hot.

I’ve liked Nip N Sip since going to school nearby. They have delicious Boston Coolers at good prices, and I’d recommend them just for that. They have a decent menu and prices, but make sure you confirm their hours before you go; they’re closed on weekends. If you haven’t had a Boston Cooler before, definitely give one a try here.

The food is so amazingly good. It is top 5 best cheeseburger I have ever had in my life, and I have had a lot of cheeseburgers. The root beer is very tasty and they are one of those smart restaurants that has Coca Cola AND Mt Dew. Cash only and tips are much appreciated.
Phil S — Google review
This has been my favorite place my whole life. I don't live in Lansing anymore, but when I come home I always want Nip n Sip, but they are usually closed on the weekends 😢. I got lucky enough to come up on a Friday before season ends. The food is awesome drive-in food, the Hammy Sammy is the king of them all. The onion rings are battered and crispy. The root beer is ice cold. Love it! Only complaints: I do miss the old signs and comm system, mostly for nostalgia. The parking lot and surrounding area looks rough. And finally, the eating areas need some love and updates.

Nestled in Lansing, Michigan, Olympic Broil is a beloved family-owned fast-food gem that has been serving up classic American fare since 1969. This casual eatery is famous for its hefty burgers, Coney dogs, and crispy fried mushrooms, all prepared fresh daily. With both drive-thru and indoor seating available, it offers a nostalgic dining experience perfect for families and friends alike.
Remember either in person or more likely videos of car hops where the waitress would skate out to your car. Well that's the atmosphere of the outside of this place. The inside is less interesting. If you want to sit inside you have to order at a kiosk and it's credit card only. If you want to pay cash you'll need to go through the drive through. Everything is very clean and there is a certain charm to the place, maybe nostalgia. I ordered the Bacon Ring Bbq Burger combo ($10). This is two thin 1/8 pound burger patties, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes with onion rings and bacon. This definitely is a fast food burger and needs to be compared to that. In that aspect it is top notch. Way better than any of the corporate giants. For a fair price. If you want to compare to the better burger sit down restaurants it does drop a little bit, but would still be in my top 15 for sure and maybe my top 10. The fries are very good, nothing super special, just above average done very well. I got a chocolate shake ($3), like the fries it's an above average shake done extremely well and very thick. Lastly I ordered a Pulled Pork sandwich ($5) for later. This was very good, especially since it was a reheated sandwich. Definitely the best pulled pork sandwich from a fast food place I've ever had for one of the best prices. The staff was very friendly and seemed very efficient. Overall a 5 star review. If I lived in the area I would be here all the time for a meal before or after work? Would I return? Absolutely? I may not live close, but if I'm in the area it definitely would be on my list to partake.

It is a local neighborhood favorite. I had the chicken tenders with a side of onion rings and a drink. The onion rings were chewy and stuck together and not great. The chicken tenders were chewy but cooked ok and the helping size was bigger than expected as I imagined them being big straps like at a culvers but they were small and there were a lot. I think some of the other menu items may be better tasting so even though I gave a 3 for food I give a 4 overall because of the quick service and for the family environment as many were sitting at picnic tables on the grass and even geese were coming up for a bite with their goslings. They aren't open on the weekend.

You get a ton of food for the price you pay. I got the burger with BBQ sauce and an onion ring on it. It was soooo good. It is very thin patties which is how I love my burgers. I ordered a side of mushrooms. They are huge and there is enough to share with 2 or three people! Bring a card if you are ordering inside. They only use the kiosks with card inside. Definitely a must try for fast food.

Always good to be here. On the weekends is an extra treat because you can watch the usual crew of rockstars get needlessly hassled by an older man who can't keep up with them. Great spot for a quick bite, love the classic car meet up. Make owners or managers should chill, your staff rock.

A couple visited Royal Pot with their children after a trip to the zoo. Despite not being the ideal place for young kids, the restaurant was accommodating and patient with them. Extremely authentic chinese Sichuan food. This place has authentic spicy chinese dishes using chili peppers directly shipped from China. They also has the hotpot with wide selection of hotpot dishes! It might be hard to get a handle on the hotpot eating figuring out how long each ingredient should be boiled for and how to mix up your hotpot dipping sauce. But the waiters at the restaurant are always down to help and provide more information.

Such a fun experience! We had never tried a hot pot before but loved the options and seeing the butter bear melt. I had the spicy option, which was definitely one of the spicier meals I've ever eaten. We also had the Garlic Shrimp prepared meal and a Sesame Chicken prepared dish. We also tried the crab ragoons, egg rolls, fried dumplings, and egg drop soup. The portions were huge and we definitely had a lot left over.

We order online a lot from this restaurant because we love spicy food, usually 3 dishes each time for two people to eat, however every time the restaurant only serves 1 small box of rice, which is only sufficient for one person , and too less for two. And they refused to provide one more rice this time when we ask when pick up. The reason they provided is ridiculous. They said we ordered 2 cold dishes and only one hot, so they can only provide 1 rice. I feel totally hurt by this, we spend $58 for this order!! Really bad experience!!

Meat BBQ is a popular dining spot in Lansing, MI that has been serving up Southern-style barbecue for about 10 years. The restaurant started small but has since expanded to accommodate the growing crowds of barbecue enthusiasts. With a larger dining room and an original kitchen unit, Meat BBQ offers slow-smoked barbecue classics and creative homemade sides for both dine-in and takeout.
Sat at the bar and had amazing service from the bartender, she made a lovely lavender lemonade cocktail. We ordered pulled pork, wings, french fries, mac n cheese, bbq pit beans, and spicy creamed corn. It was a lot of food for two people, but we wanted to try multiple sides. The spicy creamed corn lived up to its name, and the mac n cheese might be my favorite - next to the fries. I really loved the pork too, tried it with every sauce - a must. Wings were good but a tad chewy, I would like to try the brisket and the ribs next time. Everything was great down to the cornbread, will be back for more.
Hannah M — Google review
Went right when they opened at 11 so there was no concern of being out of any meats or sides. The cream corn is decently spicy. The fries are crispy and delicious. The cornbread is very buttery, a bit bland maybe need honey. The Mac and cheese isn't bad, but would be best with meats mixed in. Lots of BBQ options, but overall the best is the traditional one. Everything was filling and good. Can't complain about any meat being dry or bland. You get plenty of food for the price, so if you order an appetizer, be prepared to take home about half of whatever you order for an entree.

Stopped in for lunch at Meat BBQ and it was outstanding. The atmosphere has that perfect balance of laid-back and lively — a true local gem. I ordered the Build Your Own Mac & Cheese with sausage and chorizo, and it was incredible — creamy, spicy, and served in a skillet literally the size of a small pizza. Easily one of the best macs I’ve ever had. My wife got The Chin-Gorilla sandwich (pulled pork, house pimento cheese, grilled pineapple, fried onions, and bacon) and couldn’t believe how good it was. Huge portions, fast service, and every bite packed with flavor. Definitely one of the best BBQ spots around Lansing — worth every calorie.

When I tell you this is some of THE best BBQ I've ever had....I mean it. And I have it everywhere, Texas, KC, Tennessee, everywhere. This place is up at the top. We got the brisket meat plate. Smoked Wings meat plate and the 1/2 rack pork spare ribs meat plate. EVERYTHING was amazing. Even the sides. Brisket was perfect, great smoke flavor ( even nicer smoke ring ) tender, juicy. Wings had great smoke flavor, nice and perfectly crispy but not burnt, juicy and flavorful. The ribs were top notch!! Great crust from the rub, also perfect smoke flavor, not dry but not fall off the bone ( aka over cooked in my opinion) get that perfect bite. The mac n cheese was REALLY good, had a little kick to it which I loved, but not over powering. The beans had a perfect balance of sweet and smoky flavor. And if all of that isn't enough, the atmosphere and location is the cherry on top. Lots of stuff to do close by even if you have a wait. We will be back....SEVERAL TIMES.....SOON.

The Good: Thin paper towels on each table and an organizer of house sauces and ketchup. Ranch is available but not bleu cheese. Wings were flavorful and fatty The Better: All entrees came out hot and at the same time. Single-occupant bathrooms. Options to eat inside, covered ceiling with open windows, or open air patio style. The Mac and cheese was better than anticipated, with thick real cheese sauce and soft noodles. The Best: Warm and welcoming server who knew the menu well. The brisket was tender and presented as a slab so you get all the best parts (fatty, crusty, juicy, etc.) The fries were ridiculously tasty- crispy and seasoned

Meat BBQ is a pretty good BBQ restaurant! The food is pretty fairly priced for BBQ. There are a lot of good menu options and sides as well. The sauces were all a bit interesting and pretty good! Overall, I enjoyed it. I will say that my dinner wasn’t a lot of food for the price in my opinion, but also, I’m a big eater so that could just be a personal thing. Definitely would recommend though!

Irish pub
Dublin Square is a charming upscale Irish pub that brings a slice of Ireland to East Lansing, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy delicious food and drinks. With its stunning hand-carved mahogany bar, this lively venue offers an enticing menu filled with classic pub grub like signature sausages and fried calamari. The atmosphere buzzes with energy, especially during weekends or game days when patrons flock in for great music from live bands and DJs.
Very good food considering they’re going through a change in the kitchen. Not a bad variety of beers on tap, have all of the Irish classics. Amazing atmosphere with a lot of space. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Jarred T — Google review
A group of Indian students went to the dublin square to enjoy. After an hour, the security guard came to one of our friends and forced our friend out of the bar for no reason. The security guard also used extremely raciest words when he was forcing us out of the bar. We all paid for the food and drinks, he snatched the drinks from our hands. The guard was raciest to us. We also felt the same when we’re entering. I strongly recommend not to go to the place.

Besides the husband saying the chips were bland, the food was great. My 12 yr old said he didn't like the Cole slaw, and he also said the fish and chips was great(hes picky)The local beers were amazing ! There was no wait and our booth was clean. It was a very pub like atmosphere and it was nice. Will come again though without the kids.
Kara F — Google review
I visited Dublin Square with some friends, and unfortunately, we had a very upsetting experience. While we were enjoying ourselves on the nearly empty dance floor—especially appreciating the super cool DJ who played Hindi songs for us—things suddenly took a turn for the worse. A few of us stepped outside for some fresh air, and to our shock, a security staff member physically pushed and forced us out without any explanation. Along with others, he made abusive and racist remarks toward us and took all our drinks, including water for which we paid. He literally said "We want you out of my property" and for the sake of dignity, I won’t repeat the other comments, as they were full of offensive slurs. We were left stunned and confused, with no understanding of what exactly happened. What was meant to be a fun night turned into a distressing and humiliating experience. We truly regret choosing this venue and hope no one else has to go through something similar. I would have given negative stars if possible and I don't care about the quality of the food, the place and the people were equally disgusting.

The bangers and mash was excellent with fresh green beans. The Shepard's pie was made with a tomato sauce and in a baked potato...very unusual. Not much meat in it. Server was nice and the Moscow mule was one of the best.

Pizza restaurant
The Cosmos is a trendy restaurant known for its wood-fired pizzas and space-themed decor. Since 2015, this chef-driven establishment has been delighting diners with its creative pies, such as the roasted pumpkin with chorizo and feta or the runny egg with pancetta and spinach. The galactic atmosphere extends to the menu, which features inventive salads, classic cocktails, and shareables like truffle popcorn and duck fat fries.
My friend found out about this piece via an Instagram post on things to do in Lansing Michigan. The pizza looked eh in the video but I said, ok. Let's try it. Glad we did. The vibe, energy, and employees were all great. For the pizza we let the chef pick, just said vegetarian. It was definitely top notch! We both got salads and they were good. Also tried the fries in duck fat. We didn't notice anything special about the taste like we thought there would be being cooked in something unique. The popcorn reminded me of what I poop at home. I use salt, pepper, and garlic. They added truffle oil. It was tasty. Took the left over popcorn home (we had good amount of food) and ate it on the way back to Ohio. So there are at least 2 rooms and a large back patio. We sat in the room by the kitchen because the other room was pretty full and loud. This filled up to the longer we were there. There was a pinball game and some old video game in the center of the room. The TV was playing old MTV music videos. Big mural on the wall next to our table. The kitchen is open. Was fun watching the people in the kitchen working away doing their things as we waited for our food. Good company. Good food. Good experience.

We came here within a week of seeing this place on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. The pictures of this place inside and out make it look so much better than it is. It is run down both inside and out. However, the food is amazing and most everything is from scratch. We had the SpaceBall pizza, garlic bread with balsamic drizzle, a cherry coke (alcoholic), and a beer. The food and service were awesome. Having said that, it wouldn't be my first choice the next time we discuss getting food. The location in town is not great. It is a strange thing to say the food was great but wouldn't choose it over something else. I greatly appreciate the time in preparation for the ingredients. I loved the fact there is a lot of care for the quality of food. It was nice to be able to pay our bill immediately on out phones.
Stephen D — Google review
So I’ve been hearing for years now about Cosmos and I finally decided to try it. I was not disappointed. The pizza is out of this world and to be frank with you, it’s my personal favorite spot for pizza. It’s always got a crisp and cooked to perfection with and pizza you get. Nachos were amazing, so the wings. If you have not been here please do yourself a favor and check them out.
Taisha G — Google review
Best pizza I've ever eaten! I tried the "Trust Us" - I'm not totally sure what it was, but I don't care because it was SO GOOD! Also enjoyed the "Trust Us" drink - probably my favorite drink I've had, though I couldn't drink much of it due to a high alcohol content. Only downside - no gluten free options, which would've been nice for my wife.

Stopped into The Cosmos on Saturday afternoon during a mini-roadtrip. This is a quick jaunt from the freeway that seemed to have good reviews and saw other reviewers posting a cool space mural that I was dying to gaze upon while dining. Unfortunately for me, even though the place was empty of diners, upon entering into The Cosmos staff directed us down a dark hallway (walking right past all the empty tables, pinball machines, and past aforementioned *gorgeous* space mural, down a dark hallway and into what I can only describe as a dilapidated dive bar apparently called"The Zoobies"). So easily getting a single star for atmosphere on that one. I feel like I got 'bait and switched' Dirty black stained hardwood floors, paint chipped off the yellow stained walls (I suspect the original color was white and that time has taken it), horrendously cracked vinyl booth seats with little to no survivable padding (Nothing like old cracked vinyl seats on the back of your legs while you're wearing shorts on an 85 degree day) Here's the thing: I had to give it four stars still, because the bartender at The Zoobies was an *excellent* waitress to us, and the food and drinks were delicious. But they are charging astronomical Italian Bistro prices ($18 for like 8 bone in wings, $25 for pasta) while you're afraid of touching anything in the place because it looks/feels like you're dining in a junkyard. Definitely a place better for carryout rather than dining in.
Savannah D — Google review
Great place for casual get together. The food and drinks are fantastic. Service was friendly and attentive. We ate indoors but the patio was very busy and popular.
Shelby C — Google review
The pizza was really good, but I got a salad and I am not sure if it was just a bad day but the chicken was as hard as concrete because it's been cooked over and over again plus the salad was a side salad and not a full salad. I definitely won't order a salad from here anymore.
Lola F — Google review
Great pizza and service. Only complaint was some pretty vulgar music playing. We've certainly taken the kids there before but probably won't in the future with the stuff coming over the speakers. The pizza is incredible and the truffle popcorn is awesome also. The prosciutto pineapple pizza is amazing!

Good Truckin' Diner, located in Lansing, MI, is a small and popular diner in Reotown known for its down-to-earth atmosphere and delicious menu. The diner offers a blend of classic American diner fare with unique twists, including street tacos, breakfast burritos, cereal milkshakes, and breakfast sandwiches. Good Truckin' Diner started as a food truck in 2014 before opening its doors as a family-owned diner in early 2015.
Fun place! There motto is, "better food, cool people", would agree Causal laid back, low key, and cool atmosphere. Would go back. We had the tacos, you could pick 3 for $11. Husband got hill Billy, n'awlins, and I got the cauliflower. Yum!! Salad was not bad just not my jam.

Went to eat breakfast after our walk. The food is good. They also make coffee drinks. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is in Old Town in Lansing. The parking is curbside where available. You might have to walk a little. The service is good; but everything took a little time.

Wow! What an amazing place! We waited maybe 5 mins for a table and we were serviced right away! This place had everything! And as someone who is a coffee lover, having their iced latte was AMAZING! Great portions and nothing is spared!

Got a chance to visit their new old town location and had a great experience as always, with a lot more space for seating! Service was quick despite being quite busy and the food was as good as always! My wife is vegan and I’m vegetarian and they have a ton of great options for us. Definitely recommend trying it out!

This place has a great selection of very interesting foods to choose from. The menu items are named after movies and TV references. The bacon was not so great, but the biscuits and gravy are to die for! The Bourbon Street French toast the Rocky mountain omelette and the hippie hangover we're also incredible. Cali was our waitress and even though they were full and busy she stayed right on top of everything and got us everything we needed when we needed it! Do yourself a favor and try the tacos. Literally, try all the tacos.
Davidsonian — Google review
Food was good, many options but as a diner I was expecting some fruit at least. Most of the options were heavy meals and I was not in the mood but settled with a salad. Coffee was great! There is a wait but we only waited for 20-30 minutes. Place is next to a cute shopping area of Lansing. Service was 10/10. Dishes were delicious but since my dish was more plain, it’s what you could honestly make at home. There’s a coffee place attached to the restaurant if you don’t want to eat in. Would I go out of my way for this? Probably not but if I’m in the area and want good coffee, I would recommend.

Tried this place out for lunch today! Highly recommend! Tried the Steak Fiesta Burrito! It was really good! They have a variety of coffee lattes! The waffle fries were also really good! Loved the retro vibe! The new location has lots of space. Be prepared to wait for a table on the weekend it was about 40 minutes! Overall we will be back! Try this place out!

Best Sushi I have had since moving to Lansing! Absolutely delicious. Everything was so good, it was easy to make a reservation. The atmosphere is nice. The place is clean. Visited on a Saturday in a small group. Seated quickly, and service was friendly but never returned for drink refills. Sashimi was fresh, and udon noodles were ok. The kids enjoyed California rolls and the chicken & noodles kids' meals. They do not offer any birthday celebrations.

The location is a bit hidden, you’ll have to drive into the back of the parking lot to get to it. The service was good, he waiters are nice. My only complaint is the quality of the sashimi. Bell's Greek Pizza is a must-visit spot in Lansing, especially for pizza enthusiasts. This casual eatery serves up delicious pies, sandwiches, and wings until the early hours of the morning, making it a favorite among students and night owls alike. Known for its pizza-by-the-slice option that features various flavors each day, Bell's also offers traditional Greek dishes and hearty grinders.
The service was phenomenal! She helped us explain the deals and what’s best for my partner which is gluten free with mushrooms. They had a couple of young gentleman play live jazz music for anyone sitting outside or walking by, they were super talented and skilled in their craft. Mesmerizing live music! The atmosphere jumped to a 5 star with that! We got lucky since the timing of us there and them coming was impeccable. Thank you for the delicious pizza which today it was half off price slice! Wonderful price point, atmosphere and food

Such a friendly and outgoing owner that helps out those in need. Pizza is one of the best in town. Slices are reasonably priced (half off) on Wednesday. my favorite is the bbq chicken. and the grinder sandwiches are their unique specialty that I enjoy once in a while. Salads are house made and filled with flavor.

The grinders here cannot be beaten! My personal favorite is the vegetarian, followed closely by the tuna. They are cheesy, crunchy, and amazing. The salad dressing is addictive. A true East Lansing staple, they've been around for longer than I have, and the food has been great all the while. Service is always friendly, and their Coke Freestyle machine means that there are plenty of drink options.

Actually I didn’t eat here but I will. I met someone to pick up something. I had made other lunch plans. She drove over 15 miles just to get to Bell’s for their pizza. I got there early. There was quite a crowd. The line was long. But it kept moving at a good pace. People love this place. The lady I met just boasted on and on about their great pizza. She gave me a copy of their lengthy menu and I mentioned a few items. She said they were all “to die for” they are so good. She passed easily 20 pizza places to get to Bell’s. I was amazed at the crowd of customers and how quickly they moved. The smells were phenomenal. And I honestly have never seen so many scrumptious looking slices of pizza. And you can get it by the slice. So many had different kinds on their trays. Manager and staff were very helpful from my viewing standpoint. Yes, I’ll be going back.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of downtown Lansing, Bowdie's Chophouse offers a delightful dining experience that beautifully marries rustic charm with an elegant ambiance reminiscent of lower Manhattan bistros. This steakhouse is dedicated to providing top-notch service and high-quality ingredients, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts. The menu features an array of international dishes, including escargot and ceviche, alongside hearty soups, fresh salads, and a variety of seafood options.
Quite simple of all the places I have ever attended and reviewed this may have been the best overall food and experience and it’s not even close! From the amazing service making me feel like home (if home was a mansion with ten butlers and personal chefs) to the insanely delicious food! I ordered a roasted half chicken which if not in the proper setting I would have eaten down to the bone marrow. The lobster tail experience alone was worth the price of admission. The server brought it over then with two forks in one hand while the other had a baby knife he cut the tail out of the shell and prepped it with butter on another plate then served it to me!! Insane!! The only down side was the toast they gave in the beginning as their version of bread and butter. Otherwise there was zero part of the experience that was not perfect. Beware if parking out back the spots are weirdly angled and then the back entrance brings you through the actual back kitchen and you have to walk through a tight space to get to the front desk. No reservation be prepared to wait for the bar.
Brandon N — Google review
Way smaller than the Grand Rapids' location, this Bowdie's was way more quaint, intimate and cozy. The food was just as delicious and the drinks were just as strong. They offer a similar menu, but also have a store specific item, such as the Duck Ravioli. Our server explained that Lansing was the reason for being able to open the Grand Rapids, and you could see why. The wait staff were all very friendly and attentive, making it a perfect spot for our date night.
Renata C — Google review
We were recently there for a celebration dinner, neither of us had been there previously. We were told it was the best steak in Lansing. After our experience, I have to agree. I had the fillet, and it was perfection. This place is not large, very few indoor tables, so get a reservation. When we were there, my only note would be that the place is not a quiet place for dinner. The environment is lovely, but a little louder than I expected. The food was so good that I didn't really notice until the end. Definitely recommend, but with reservations ahead of time.
Pat H — Google review
We went here on a recommendation from a friend for our 14th wedding anniversary. It was definitely an amazing place. It is quite small, though, so you must have a reservation because the tables fill up fast. I definitely recommend, but an FYI: it's on the high end for pricing.
Amanda W — Google review
I’m taking one star off because the escargot didn’t meet my expectation at all (unlike the ones I had in Paris) 🥲 but filet mignon & fries are great. The atmosphere is quite nice but the tables are close to each other and your neighbors can be loud sometimes.
Lin L — Google review
Ok so the positive first! They have an amazing ribeye steak. It is flavorful and cook to perfection. I also tried the bone marrow appetizer but, I couldn’t eat it because of the way it was prepared. It was running and I couldn’t stomach the look. Lastly, I tried truffle fries that were just ok nothing to brag about and, the salad was cooked and served warm. Maybe the put the lettuce on the grill or something. Way too much parmesan cheese. If yr looking for intimate and quiet then this is NOT the place. It is very noisy and not much space. Seems like many local come a s drink here and hang out. I’d get a take out next time.
Wendy B — Google review
This is the go to place in the greater Lansing area if you're looking for fine dining and great a steakhouse. food is always spot on. The lobster mac and cheese the truffle fries are excellent. The fillet is always perfect!
Ahmed S — Google review
PHENOMENAL…. but…. I will start off by saying… this place is tiny. So, if you try to do a walk in, odds are you won’t get in. Tried that twice, no luck. Finally was able to get in with a reservation and I was not disappointed! You absolutely MUST get steak here. Do not get sea bass or chicken - go for what they are known for!!!!! Ignore the reviews about all the other items! The Cowboy Ribeye was phenomenal!!! Seriously perfection. We got bleu cheese and the horseradish sauce to garnish our steaks, but the steaks were juicy and seasoned so well, that we barely touched the garnishes. So don’t get garnishes! To make the experience even better, get the Brussels with Pork Belly as a shareable side. I could do without the belly, but the dish was tasty together. Lastly, the Nightcap drink was delish and hit the spot. I went in not thinking too much given the small space and the fact that the table next to us was a group of very loud business men that were so loud it was hard to speak at my own table (why I gave 4 stars for atmosphere.) They left toward the beginning of our dinner, thankfully. Regardless of that, I walked out with much delight from my experience. I will definitely be returning when I’m in the steak mood. But come hungry because the steaks are large. Service was wonderful as well! We were told it might take a bit of time for our steaks after ordering since they are large, but it didn’t feel long at all. Highly recommended!

Not bad but not super amazing food either. I’d still prefer Piada over this any day. $4 for a small of a side is a little ridiculous. They’re heavy on the main portions but super light on the side portions. Stingy on the protein too.
Rei — Google review
They seem to have serious cross contamination issues, got the Alfredo and it was about as good as a burnt napkin, it was bland, cold, and there was an overwhelming amount of undesirables scattered within, like corn and carrots and stuff, nothing catastrophic but still concerning. If someone had an allergy they would be at risk. Been a couple of times now and I asked myself today why I even bothered coming back, it’s just never been a hit for me. The food tastes like airplane food, if anyone asks me if noodles and co is good I’ll probably tell them it’s edible if you have literally no other choices. It’s basically like Culver’s for noodles except Culver’s is good. I’d leave a one star review instead but at least I didn’t get sick from eating it.

Normally when I come here I get kinda bad service. But its near a college campus and its fast food, so its not that deep. The man who was the cashier today was amazing and so nice! Its the best service I've had since comming here and I wish other people who work here would learn something from him. I wish I asked for his name as his patience and attitude was so refreshing compared to what I've normally had.

Dined here in the past with great results. Today I came in and ordered pad thai as well as some parmesan chicken. The staff gave us knives instead of forks and my pad thai was missing peanuts and egg. It was also bar crawl night and the music literally vibrated the tables. I have to give noodles credit for having good dishes but when they don't fully deliver on their dish it's upsetting.
Seth L — Google review
This is aimed towards Noodles and Company, why are you advertising "cajun alfredo" when it's made with roasted red pepper Alfredo? If I had known that, I wouldn't have ordered it. It was too much of the "roasted red pepper" alfredo (even though I checked again and the description says "cajun spiced" alfredo). I wasn't even able to eat it, wasted $13. The restaurant itself was fine but after I left and tried my pop it was lacking syrup, carbonation or both....

No Thai! East Lansing is a local chain restaurant that offers familiar Thai dishes in a casual setting. Customers can place their orders at the counter and receive their food within minutes. The Pad Prik is highly recommended, and the Drunken Noodles are also praised for their taste. The atmosphere is laid-back with gaming references on the walls, but some customers felt rushed while dining. While it may not be the most authentic Thai food, it's affordable and convenient for those craving quick Thai cuisine.
No Thai takeout NEVER disappoints. I placed an order over phone, staff was polite, both over the phone and in person. Noodles hit the spot for sure! Although I ordered both bowls medium spice, the Drunken Noodles definitely had more spice. But overall great experience, I recommend!

**UPDATE 12/13/24** Found a worm in my dish as we were eating. I asked to speak to a manager where the request was made to send a picture. They wanted to verify that it was a worm before I will receive a refund because “they don’t have anything with worms” according to the person I spoke with. I am awaiting a response from that email. Sweet and Spicy chicken is my go to… Very good food and ACTUALLY is spicy when it says something is spicy.

Don’t eat here, it’s inauthentic, orders are wrong and the cooks don’t care about the food—there’s no love at No Thai. Evidence: 1. They forgot the spring rolls, 2. Ordered no spice and it was VERY spicy. They did remake it after I called but I had to drive all the way back to pick it up. 3. My wife was nauseous after eating it. Ultimately it all ended up in the trash. While I was waiting for take out two other customers complained as well. Do yourself a favor and don’t eat here.

Patrons for many years. Our visit last night was disappointing. Smaller portions than before - Satay looked like nuggets for $7.50. Drunken noodles about 3/4 what it used to portion. We'll try again, hoping this is not the new standard.

Always hot and fresh- cooked to order. Stir fry’s, fried rice, drunken noodles always taste amazing

The best spot for thai food that won't break the bank! It's not the most authentic thai food but it hits the spot when I have a craving and don't have much time. Pros: affordable convenient super fast service friendly employees Cons: The spice levels are very inconsistent at times *Pro tip* get their point card and get a free entree for every 10 you purchase!

The People's Kitchen is a trendy establishment that offers comforting and inventive dishes paired with artisanal cocktails, all served in a vibrant industrial setting. The restaurant stands out for its unique and original ambiance, which adds to the overall experience. The menu may be small, but each item is executed flawlessly, impressing diners with its exceptional flavors. Prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes. However, some patrons have noted that they were given an inaccurate wait time and ended up waiting longer than anticipated.
It's one of the best restaurants I've been to in Lansing. The menue is somewhat small, as is the space inside. This has allowed them to focus on perfecting their dishes and to working as a team. I loved the pork chop I had, and my girl loved her cauliflower dish. My only suggestion is if coming on the weekend get reservations. It is slower during the week or early afternoon. I will definitely be back again. Thank you for such delicious food.

Dined here on 5/3/25 and thoroughly enjoyed it! Service was friendly, the food was great (beet salad, fish and chips for one entree, smash burger and smashed fingerling potatoes for the other). The salad was great with fresh beets and both entrees came out very hot and fresh. The menu varied greatly as did the clientele - it’s always refreshing to go to a creative, locally-owned restaurant where seniors are dining next to hipster students and everyone is enjoying themselves. I love this place and always look forward to coming back!

Beyond excited I finally got to try the place. The syrup on the waffles was out of this world. Chicken was perfectly cooked. This chorizo sandwich....its magnificent. Just order it

Truly, The People's Kitchen has to have the most delicious food in Lansing. Every dish is high quality and well made. Plus the waitstaff always gives excellent service. Do yourself a favor and go for brunch. Their pancakes are the best I've ever had. Pictured are the Espresso Martini (amazing) and the Hippie Quiche (amazing). I have tried something new each time I've gone because it's all so good.

High quality ingredients, equally amazing food. Everything I have tried here, in the hand full of times I’ve visited, was delicious! Atmosphere is causal, staff are welcoming. Our server did rush us unnecessarily when we were first seated, which was off putting, but at the end she had a better attitude. Over highly recommended restaurant! (Be advised weekday & weekend menus are different)

Unfortunately the quality of The Peoples Kitchen has gone down immensely in the past few months. We use to love it there but the past 3-4 time we have ordered from there or eaten in house, we have had terrible experiences. I think today is the last time we will be ordering from there. Last time we ate in, they gave us the wrong item and were very difficult when we asked for the correct menu item once they brought it out ( Didn't even eat it because we knew it was wrong the moment we saw it. I always order the same thing) Today we ordered out and when I got home, I saw that my eggs were raw AND there were shells just stuck all over it. Huge shells from the egg .... I am not sure how someone could miss this while cooking let alone while plating it up. The food is far to expensive to pay for something that in inedible ...

Unfortunately I was not pleased with the food at all . Let me first start off by saying our waiter was wonderful because I’m sure the actual food was not his fault . We came for my mother in laws birthday and true food was very under par , we started off with a charcuterie board which was Very mediocre ( the carrots in the pickled onions were extremely tough to chew through ) .1) I then ordered what I thought was a lamb shank and ended up being meat balls and “ risotto “ which was a scoop of rice and nothing like risotto 2) My husband had “ Risotto “ and I’m sorry but it looked like a scoop of jambalaya . Finally my mother in laws meal was fish, and she enjoyed it but to be honest the portions were extremely small for the price it’s listed for . The dessert was for free which I appreciate but the chocolate cake was extremely extremely bitter and tasted like it was store bought and not freshly made at all ! I get it’s a college town but the portions were very small and very overpriced and to me it wasn’t fair at all . They need to up the portions or lower the price especially if you have college students who don’t have the money to enjoy a good quality meal . I will not be returning to this place and it breaks my core to write this review but I’m very direct and I’m not fake .

This is a gem in Lansing for brunch. They have the best chicken and waffles I have ever eaten - I really like chicken and waffles. The menu is “elevated” American food and does not disappoint for flavor. That said, the first time I went in I was expecting a more affordable menu given it is name for the people ;P I have also had a couple unique drinks here which are also great though a tad on the expensive side. Sometimes the staff are busy and the wait can be longer than expected, so give yourself ample time. All the servers are friendly and attentive despite probably overworked.

Great vegan options in the East Lansing area! Pros: Great food Good variety Friendly employees Fast service Cons: Unaffordable Small portions I really enjoyed the food we got. The animal basket fries were delicious and the un-cajun animal burger was tasty. My only complaint is that the portions are small but the prices are on the higher side. I want to think the higher costs reflects the better quality ingredients they use and the higher wages they give their employees but even then, it seemed expensive for the amount of food you get.

Had a 100/10 experience here. This is the first time we've been here and its was so nice! FIRST off, its a Vegan Drive Thru. Which is exciting! It was fun to have stuff we could all eat in one place. They have a bunch of options to build your own if you can't find what you want on the menu. I went small for my first time and just got a hot dog and some nuggets. They seriously hit the spot! I got the Hunny Mustard with my nuggests and its was so good. I was even dipping my sweet potato fries in it. Im sad they are all gone. Lol. They also have lemonade. Im not a fan of lemonade but they have a MI Cherry lemonade that, as a cherry fanatic, I had to try. ITS AMAZING! And paired with the crushed ice.. I am in heaven on this warm day.😍😍😍 Christabelle, who was the one who took out order and one of the owners, was so nice and friendly! They helped us with the menu and had the answers for all out questions. All of us agree that we will for sure be back ASAP! It was a very fun experience. Oh! They also have outside dining if you wanted to sit out and eat. 😊😊

La Cocina Cubana LLC is a delightful gem nestled in Downtown Lansing, where the vibrant flavors of traditional Cuban cuisine come to life. This charming eatery offers an array of mouthwatering dishes, including their renowned Cuban sandwiches served alongside rice, plantains, and fresh salads. Diners rave about the authenticity and quality of the food; many have fond memories from when La Cocina was a beloved food truck in Old Town.
What a great dining experience. The food and service were both amazing. The owners went out of their way to take exceptional care of us. They checked on us regularly throughout our meal to make sure we had everything we needed. I had the chicken fajitas and Bob had the Cubano sandwhich and fries. Both meals were hot and delicious. The restaurant is super clean. They have angle, paid parking right outside of the restaurant. Definitely a nice place for a good meal and a little feel of Cuba.

Barrio East Lansing has quickly established itself as a must-visit destination in the local dining scene. This vibrant eatery offers a delightful mix of signature and customizable tacos, along with refreshing cocktails, all served in a trendy and casual atmosphere. The menu is an exciting blend of traditional Mexican cuisine infused with fresh flavors that keep patrons coming back for more. One standout dish is the cauliflower rice bowl paired with the fish of the day, which showcases their creative approach to food.
We’ve been to Barrio many times in many locations, and loved it so much we had them cater our wedding. The food was incredible (resounding compliments from our guests) and the experience was incredibly easy. Thanks, Barrio!

It's a great place to eat outside on nice days, and service is superb. The food is like most everything in a Midwest college town, a bit bland but ok. Drinks weren't bad, but wine selection was very limited. Inside can get really loud, outside is the place to be if you just want to enjoy the evening. Gets very crowded later in the evening. Service really was great.

Awesome chic interior with expensive sloppy garbage food. Probably the second time in my life I didn’t finish eating a taco. Done with this chain.
Thilo S — Google review
Stopped here with my mom after helping my sister move in. The atmosphere is definitely college town vibes. Lots of seating, both inside and outside. Nice decor and it was very clean. The staff were very friendly but service was not great. We ordered a drink when our dinner was served. We ended up waiting almost 30 minutes for the drink to arrive. At that time, we had finished our dinners. We then waited an additional 10 minutes for our leftover containers & bill. They were not that busy, so I am unsure of what the issue was. The food was okay, but nothing incredible. It was hot and came relatively quickly. But I was not impressed with the flavor. I am hopeful that I can visit again and receive better service and a better meal.
Caris B — Google review
We had a nice server. Service was quick. The music was too loud. Tacos were mid. The flavor of canned corn is distracting and...bad? I've always hated canned vegetables. Maybe it's just me but I'm feeling like it's better to just make food at home since I can at least get fresh ingredients then. The taco bowl my husband ordered was VERY salty and I probably wouldn't have eaten it if I'd ordered it. It was my first time going and I don't feel a strong drive to return given the cost and the result. Expensive food that is just *fine* is why I don't try new places or really even eat out anymore.
Matt C — Google review
My kid who's just finished a soccer tournament came here an was excited about the hash browns. We were really disappointed to find that we received the Hashbrowns in a small condiment container. that was all of 1/32 of a tiny potato diced up. My kid was starving and i felt like that was false advertisement as the menu should have indicated that this was not enough for a meal. We spent a lot of money at this restaurant tonight and we are just very disappointed.
Manuel L — Google review
To keep it PG, incredibly rude service, ladies at the register had us wait TWO HOURS for a table all for them to kick us off the list once the wait was over. My whole family was shocked with how rude they were. Completely blew us off when we asked them about it so we left. Good food but that’s unacceptable. I hope that server gets buttons and paper clips for all her tips today lol
Chris W — Google review
The red head hostess made us wait 30 minutes after the time we were supposed to be sat. Our table was ready at 5:30 and we waited till 6 pm after being told that our table was ready and “we just had to wait a minute.” Apparently, after asking FIVE TIMES for our table, we were taken off the 2 HOUR and 15 MINUTE WAIT LIST. We did confirm that we were there for our table, yet we never got sat. After all that, all we could do was leave. I would say that both the hostesses wasted 2 hour and 45 minutes of our time. I love the food, but that is ridiculous.

Golden Harvest Restaurant in Lansing is a beloved, bustling brunch spot known for its kitschy decor and generous portions of morning favorites. The restaurant has been a local favorite for over 60 years, but it was revitalized in 2004 by current owner Zane Vicknair. The menu features indulgent omelets, scrambles, waffles, and daily specials like golden beet and portobello mushroom hash with beef brisket.
New go-to spot in Lansing for brunch! The place is small and tight with limited seating and a no nonsense tone. Menu options are all $15, handwritten on white boards. CASH OR VENMO ONLY! We got the Irish scramble, the “suck it” omelette and the cinnamon crunch French toast. The food took a little under an hour to come out but we were anticipating this having read other google reviews before showing up. The staff kept checking in with hot coffee so we did not feel ignored or forgotten. Everything was great and the worth was absolutely worth it. Each dish was thoughtfully balanced and generously portioned. Huge selection of hot sauces. I’d recommend any of the three dishes we tried and the staff recommended the biscuits and gravy and the shrimp and grits. Dreaming of our next visit!

AMAZING find. I love the food here, great and interesting menu, FRIENDLY service, and super fun decor. It’s a pretty small space, so be prepared to wait for a table and also for your food. We waited about an hour for our food but it was well worth it. 100% will recommend but make sure you are ready for the wait and that you’ve nothing to get to. Just chill and enjoy great breakfast vibes. Also, I’m a crazy nut for biscuits and gravy and the biscuit here is to die for. Amazing sausage gravy too. SO delicious. I got the north and south platter (can’t remember the exact name) but it’s biscuits with poutine. That beef gravy was out of this world. Wow!

And for those that say " well its a long wait" I say " good things come to those who wait " the atmosphere is indescribable " now back to the food!!! Some of if not THE BEST I've ever had! See the pictures.

Fact. Golden Harvest is easily the best breakfast spot in Lansing. Hard to choose from their eclectic menu, but we went with a spinach and artichoke omelet and the banana pudding French toast. Both were fabulous. Our server was a peach. Also fact. Not sure I'd return. We waited well over an hour for our food. And the acoustics are such that you can't carry on a conversation. But I'm glad I had the experience.
Pamela G — Google review
Very cool little spot, and it is very little. We got there right when they opened and when they opened the doors they already had our table ready with waters which was nice. The atmosphere is cool, though definitely some stickers and things on the walls that aren't appropriate for young kids. We didn't mind too much but I'm sure some parents would not be comfortable. No kids options either though we just had ours split one plate.

I love the spot. Anytime I come through the city and I’ve got time when they are open I always stop. Friendly staff, fantastic food. Highly recommended. I’ll be back. Good to see you guys again. Today I had biscuits and gravy and a Polish scramble. Biscuits and gravy of course are fantastic. Polish scrambles also great. Bring cash.

Admittedly not for everyone, the kitsch and the independent nature of Golden Harvest staff make it a place embracing of all. And their food is to die for! From the usual breakfasts to fusion dishes, it is always well thought out and perfectly executed. The Gilgeori Toast was the best I’ve had outside Korea, and the chef pulled a couple of nifty tricks to make this stand out.

This place is freaken delicious!! We heard a lot about the Golden Harvest from some friends while we were in town for ScrapFest art festival so we decided to give it a try. We had a party of 7 and right before us was a large party of 10-15 people. The staff was very friendly and communicated very well that they are a little behind from the large table and they will be getting other us as soon as they can. (I appreciate the honesty)The kids loved watching the cooks prep meals and keep that goat stop stove always moving. We got some coffee and didn't mind the wait at all. We ordered and then started to watch some other meals being made and kept saying "Oh, that looks good" and then referring back to the menu to see what it was. Everything looked amazing from the crunch French toast to the breakfast burrito. We wanted to try it all. When our food came out we were all really impressed with the portions, they dont go skimpy on anything. Let's see if I can remember what all we ordered. Breakfast burrito with veggies The Big Basic x 2 French Toast and a crunch French toast (which I forget the name of) ...ALL OF IT WAS DELICIOUS!! As I was eating I was already thinking of when we come back for next years ScrapFest 16, I want to make sure we eat here at least twice.

Five Guys is a popular fast-food chain known for its made-to-order burgers, fresh fries, and hot dogs. While you wait for your meal, you can enjoy complimentary peanuts—a delightful touch! The burgers are juicy and cooked to perfection, while the fries come in generous portions that often spill out of the bag. One of the highlights is their freestyle Coke machine offering an impressive variety of drink combinations to satisfy any craving.
The food was great, though the prices are definitely on the high side. They’ve got freestyle Coke machines, so you can mix up any drink combination your maniac brain can dream up. That said, the real standout here wasn’t the juicy, grease-dripping burger or the fresh fair style fries, it was the staff. The gentleman who took our order was polite and patient, the woman who seemed to be the manager was friendly and went out of her way to help a new delivery driver when she didn’t have to, and another team member that came in while we were eating brought the kind of energy that made everyone around her smile. You could tell she’s someone everyone loves working with.

I love this place! I took a star for price. There is no reason to charge so much for a fast food burger and fries. However, I am willing to splurge once in awhile.
Kimberly M — Google review
Food is amazing fresh made to order, but the price was over board. If you get a combo they add 6 dollars, then offer large fries is another 3.50 and soda is 60 more cents on top of the 6 for the combo price. 2 meals was 45 dollars. Prices I would expect at fine dining, not a fast food burger joint.

My son and I decided to have our monthly “mother/son lunch.” The hamburger was cooked to order and tasted wonderful. When you order fries at “Five Guys” they make sure you always have bag fries! Coke machine with more than a hundred different selections. Service was exceptional, and remember there is parking available north of E. Grand River Ave. just south of the alley.
Chelsea T — Google review
Food was great as always, but apparently this location is "one of the only" ones that doesn't serve shakes? That's a boneheaded decision and came off as the owner being cheap and not wanting to buy the machine for it. Oh, also it's way too expensive.

Thank you to the team at this Denny's!!

Amazing food and amazing service, I got the berry French toast slam and it tasted absolutely amazing. I also got the apple crisp sundae and not only did it taste fantastic but the extremities of the hot apple pie and cold vanilla ice-cream made for a wonderful sensation. Not only was the food great but service was perfect. My waitress Kristy happily served us with care and attention even though it was a large group very very late at night. She glady fulfilled every odd request, and was very helpful in making sure we got exactly what we wanted. She definitely made the experience overall a very positive experience. My only complaint would be that the bathrooms needs some attention other than that everything was amazing! Edit: I went back and had another great experience! They were very busy and I imagine understaffed due to the holiday. However the food was still amazing quality. Our server Iliana was obviously under a lot of stress due to the unfortunate circumstances but she still handled our order with care and was very helpful in getting our order exactly right. 10/10 will visit again.

I’ve been to this place all through my 4 years of undergrad and they’ve never once been short of amazing- today, I went to pick up a sandwich, and the incredibly kind cashier offered me an entree ticket because they were out of an ingredient. Absolutely incredible staff and I’m going to miss this place so much!
Kenny K — Google review
I used to absolutely love getting food here. Sandwiches were good, soup was great and even their shakes were amazing. Me and my boyfriend ordered a sandwich each today through the app and when we opened our sandwiches we realized that more than half of what we ordered was missing. I asked for cucumber and there was nothing. I'm vegetarian and I wanted a bunch of vegetables. I ended up with a mustard sandwich. My boyfriend had literally one piece of meat on his sandwich. We should have just went to subway if we would have known we were going to be skimmed. My boyfriend just stated that he has had a better sandwich from a gas station.

First time to try Potbelly and I got a mediterranian sandwich with chicken, roasted peppers, artichoke hearts and cheese. The 9 inch long bread was toasted well and the ingredients were good. The style of the shop was kind of a bar with alot of old wood used all around so it was nice to dine in there.

I love Potbelly my favorite sub place! Please bring back the cherry cookie this year. It is so delicious and my all time favorite one!

Come on… i know he sounds like a broken record but he’s special needs… special needs boy needs special needs sandwich.. come on… Don’t laugh at my boy, ever agin.

Super nice staff and a great atmosphere. Best potbelly location I’ve been to.

Visited and had a roast beef & Swiss and Italian - both sandwiches were really good, they had some cool hand chairs in there that the kiddo loved, and the staff were all very courteous & friendly.

First time here, the Avo Turkey is absolutely amazing. I definitely would recommend eating here.

Burger King is a popular fast-food chain renowned for its delicious grilled burgers, crispy fries, and delightful shakes. Many patrons have shared their experiences of exceptional service that truly stands out in the fast-food industry. One memorable encounter involved a friendly employee named Angel who brightened a customer's Saturday morning with her warm smile and welcoming demeanor at the drive-thru.
Went to the drive through several months back, posted hours said they were open, lights on inside, could see employees, but no one ever answered the drive through speaker so we were unable to place an order. Gave up after a minute and went somewhere else. Giving a five star rating for the audacity cause it was honestly pretty based
Megan B — Google review
Sat in the driveway for 15 minutes while we waited for them to finish the one order that sat at their window for the majority of the time. When we finally ordered, we used a coupon for 2 bacon cheeseburgers, a med fry, and a med drink priced at $6.99. The cashier seemed very drowsy and like almost out of it. Slurring her words, after waiting forever and finally getting to pull up to the window we waited for another 10 min and finally received our order. We get all the way home to find that our sandwiches are just regular cheeseburgers. I provided pics of the burgers and the receipt. Just save your time and money and eat at home.
Joslyn A — Google review
Ordered through Door dash. Order confirmed at 6:38pm. Had to cancel the order at 8:12pm because, apparently, they were refusing to make my food. Our order is normally double what it was tonight. Wish I could give them zero stars.
Ruth W — Google review
Went here today to get breakfast. Waited behind a car at the drive through, then was asked to wait at the order kiosk. The employee waited until exactly 10:30am to ask for my order and told me I had missed breakfast. There was no one behind me, so you lost business for no reason.
Jeffrey B — Google review
Took more than 8 minutes with only 2 cars ahead of me to get my order which was incorrect and cold. Bun on burger stale and to top it off, 3 bites into burger there was a long black hair...how freaking disgusting. Do yourself a favor and drive right on by this Burger King.

i came around 7pm yesterday and some blonde boy i think his name was sean was being inappropriate towards my 11 year old daughter, i sent her in to get a rodeo burger for herself and she told me he kept making advances towards her such as asking for her snapchat and phone number after she denied and said she was only 11 he still kept trying. i tried to call the store to address this issue , i will not be returning here ever again this is sick

I ordered online and got a meal along with the a frozen coke and picked it up on my break but their frozen drink machine wasn’t working at the time and I didn’t have time to wait for it bc I was on my break so I left without it. But then when I was at work one of the employees brought it over to me personally and that was really thoughtful bc he could have just done nothing. Most of the employees there are super nice and the food is always made right for me.

Very slow! Not even completing 1 order at a time. Then a sassy guy from the back got caught playing and wanted to say, "what, we are short staffed". How about stop playing and do your job.....

Chipotle Mexican Grill is a popular casual dining spot that specializes in delicious Mexican cuisine, allowing diners to customize their meals with options like burritos, tacos, and bowls. While experiences can vary by location—some patrons have noted inconsistencies in portion sizes and food quality—many rave about the generous servings and flavorful offerings. The menu features a variety of vegetarian choices, including veggie burritos and plant-based proteins, making it an excellent option for those seeking meat-free meals.
Second time to order from Chipotle in East Lansing and the order was good. I got a burrito bowl and a taco. Both were tasty and I prefer the pastor chicken over the beef. Sour cream goes well with all their food so it is always a must. The green pepper gave a nice mild spicy taste so also recommended. Always double the amount of meat/chicken because it will be not enough.
Mustapha N — Google review
Worst chipotle i’ve ever been to. If I had been to every chipotle in america, my bet is that it would still be the worst. I go here only because there’s not another one in walking distance of campus but probably not anymore. I’ve never had a good experience here. Horrendous service. Whatever you set your pickup time as, add 20 minutes. Good luck getting to the pickup window because it’ll be surrounded by about 15 other people waiting for their order. Want to sit down while you wait? Probably not the best idea unless you want juicy meat stains in the back of your pants. One time I ordered queso around 30 minutes before closing. It was half chunks of chicken. I’m vegetarian. I brought it back the next day asking for a replacement and they were hesitant to remake it since i had gotten it the day before. Had to talk to 3 people before they finally got me a replacement. Today I got 2 kids meals. The drinks weren’t in the bag, but 3 other bags of chips i didn’t order were. Unfortunately it was only until I got home that I realized one of the kids meals was complete wrong. I ordered tacos with meat, cheese, and salsa. What i received was the kids meal box with the tortillas and only one slot filled with meat. I could continue but i’m tired of typing. Just know your experience will be bad :)
Jonathan K — Google review
Ridiculous. Second time I’ve tried to use the mobile pickup , and once again it’s completely trashed. They just don’t care. This is the state of my order after I was wondering what was leaking through the bag. It’s completely soaked the entire meal. I’m done here.
Mp — Google review
Person working was a complete jerk. Was yelling at his coworker because there was no chicken ready for him to give. My bowl was completely sub par as the guy just slapped it together and threw it at me. Avoid this location at all costs it’s complete slop and dirty as a chipotle can be.
Dezy S — Google review
This location gives the worst size portions EVER. I always get double meat portion and always receive a single portion from this location. So now I'm paying for a double portion and only getting a single portion. THAT'S A RIP OFF. Then you got cashier's using gloves to take cash or use the screen at the register and then use those same gloves to touch people's food. THAT IS CROSS CONTAMINATION... Seems like lake of food training and portion size is not it at this location. Gotta go elsewhere... EWWWWW
Jessica F — Google review
The food was great and staff were very helpful. My issue however is that the environment was dirty. Most of the tables were dirty as well, it took me a while to find a clean spot to eat at. Even the bins were overflowing with garbage.
Marlon R — Google review
Never had a worse experience at a chipotle. Workers letting people cut the line, missing over half of the ingredients, workers just walking to the back for 5 mins and no one out front. Took over half an hour for a 5 person long line.
Ryan H — Google review
After 5 consistent half-sized burritos, decided rather just eat elsewhere. The burritos are the size of a potato. I think its the way the workers at this location were trained, because I dont get this issue as often at the other nearby locations.

Pizza restaurant
Sir Pizza - Lake Lansing is a beloved local chain that specializes in an impressive variety of specialty pizzas, calzones, and fresh salads. Many patrons rave about their delicious calzones, claiming they are among the best they've ever tasted. The pizza itself is often described as exceptional, with a unique blend of toppings including pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, and a delightful mix of provolone and mozzarella cheeses.
Friendly staff and amazing pizza! I will be sure to try the classic pizza with flavored crust next time (little bit cheaper) 😉❤️
Joseph M — Google review
When ordering directly from the Sir Pizza on Lake Lansing Rd, you must pick up your order, however this is the only way to get things just how you like them. We like our pizzas with extra cheese, light sauce, and well done. Now we have to order thru Door Dash for delivery these options are simply not available so we comment in the Additional Info section. Door Dash charges us extra for our requests, but the requests in the Additional Info Section don't seem to make it to the store. Our food comes with sparse cheese, heavy sauce and just done. Having ordered from Sir Pizza since we used to get ours from the Kalamazoo St. store (its been gone for decades) we're finding this departure from quality service quite disappointing. Partnering with Door Dash was not the best choice.
Cyndie K — Google review
We have had Sir Pizza for years!!! This was the worst pizza! Undercooked and dry. This was a pre-made crust and not anywhere near like it used to be. We called the Manager and he told us to bring it back to get a new one. It was made exactly like the last....and he said we needed to ask for it well done in the future!!!! How about just DONE!!! BAD EXPERIENCE AND FOOD. Sorry Sir Pizza!!! Won't be back.
Amy E — Google review
Fine pizza. Not the best in the area. Won't return. I like the concept since crust is my least favorite part. Pizza was only warm, not hot. Crust is very uninspired. Wish there was 10% more cheese. Overpriced for volume. Overall ill keep going to Marcos and domino's. Sir pizza is probably good for kids, but it costs too much. Employees pleasant but weird. Interior was dingy.

Ordered a large Pizza with just pineapple on half of it, got it home and it was brownish black. It was so overcooked the cheese was burnt. I asked to speak to the manager and the girl who took my order was the one who came on the phone and of course, they couldn't do anything for me. A $19 burnt pizza. Don't order your pizza there!!
Torry G — Google review
The driest dustiest under baked old pizzas and bread I’ve ever had and it cost me $54 🤯!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! GROSS 🤢 Why did I give a tip for $5.50??? Pick up! Lake Lansing location is disgusting over priced garbage! I had the same experience 8 years ago and I thought maybe it was long enough for them to get their business in order. I was absolutely WRONG!!!

This location was very clean and provided the tasty sandwich I desired. The staff was also very nice.

The food was about as average compared to other subways. The place was pretty dirty and the bathroom was an absolute mess. The toilet was overflowing with urine and excrement. I haven't been there for over 2 months but I can vividly remember that bathroom.

The ignorance of the mask law from the woman behind the counter is appalling. Refusing service for a medical condition. My 20.00 a day is not much but you will never get it again . have the day you deserve.

DON'T ORDER ONLINE!! They don't update the store hours online and get closed an hour earlier than usual as per their wish. Even though my husband went to ask about an order that we placed a few hours earlier than their closing time, the staff didn't pay any heed to our order confirmation. When I called next day, the staff lied straight on my face that they didn't close before 7 pm ET. Absolutely ridiculous!
