The 42 best cake shops and cake bakeries in Bristol

Where do I begin? Ah I know - with the flavour of course. I had heard a great deal about the best bakeries in Bristol and this place kept popping up, so of course being an avid baked good fans I ventured over there. Luckily it’s not far from my house (bonus!) so I walked over and explored the visual aspect of the place first, which is charming in size, and kind of hidden. From there I ordered the chocolate braided Babka which was very delicious, moist, and pretty sweet, and my partner ordered the spiced bun, Which was crispy and soft in places, with spiced sugar, alongside a bag of pastel de Nata and a couple of coffees. As I sat there munching into mine I was in sheer heaven. Simply gorgeous flavours coming out of this pastry and probably the best I’ve had anywhere. I tried my partners also and I was very impressed with the flavour of this also. Good quality coffee, and the pastel de Nata custard tarts were probably the best outside of Portugal. Get over there as early as you can to avoid disappointment, as it truly worth it.

Have seen this on social media so not a find.... It is certainly worth a visit. Actually it is a must.... The cakes and coffee were excellent. Actually they were incredible. There are a range of breads freshly baked too. They were around 4 pounds per loaf. The cakes were different prices. Mine was 3.90 and truly amazing. Had the spice bun later and the butter they use is incredible I would say. The croissant was incredibly nice also. Here there is a very small number of seats inside and just outside. Service was helpful and prompt - plus it is very busy so the staff work very hard. They made my box up very well. Exquisite cakes and drinks to enjoy in central Bristol. Well worth getting up early.

Had this bakery on my list since moving to Bristol, and I’m so glad I finally stopped by. Grabbed a morning coffee and babka—both were excellent. The babka was perfectly baked, rich and flaky, and the coffee was smooth and well balanced. Friendly service and cozy atmosphere made it even better. Highly recommend!

Farro has been on my "want to go" list for probably a couple of years - I finally went yesterday and goodness I wish I'd made the effort sooner! Fresh, delicious pastries, nice coffee, and really friendly, efficient service. Then bread looked great too. We bought coffee and pastries and sat on a bench in the sunshine in Brunswick Square to enjoy them. It's one of those places where you could easily pick anything at random and know that it'd be delicious. Now I need to engineer more reasons to be in that part of town more often so I can go back and try more things!

Genuinely the most delicious pastel de nata to exist outside of Portugal. Absolutely incredible! I also ordered an iced latte with Farro’s homemade brown sugar syrup and absolutely couldn’t fault the experience. Amazing atmosphere, great central location, friendly service and delicious treats. 10/10!

Thought I'd give it a try due to the hype. Was decent, wasn't absolutely mindblown but still a higher standard bakery than most in Bristol. I got the Honey Almond which was nice but it didn't live up to the rest of the reviews. The staff were nice, dealing with a busy shop quite well. I'd say the ticket system for order collection was good, but it felt like being horded into a train station - you couldn't move as everyone is squashed to the side.

I love Farro! Delicious flat white and honestly all of the pastries are incredible. Get there early for the pasteis de nata. Staff are always so friendly, even when it's super busy ❤️

A little difficult to find from the train station but take the steep stairs to the left of the taxi stand - you will not be disappointed! Fantastic flavours and texture - the cheddar, mustard and sesame croissant was exquisite, crisp on the outside and soft inside. Carrot cake was equally good, beautiful texture and the perfect balance of sweetness. Staff were great, sped up my order as I was in a rush for a train. Lovely spot, I can’t believe it took me this long to discover Hart’s!

I think pretty much everything i've had from harts has been excellent. The sausage rolls are great if you're hungry they will definitely fill you up as the fillings are huge. Its a great bakery. The only area they could improve is on the hot drinks. I chose not to order a coffee today because there were at least 10 people waiting on hot drinks and the pace of the staff was incredibly slow. On the food counter it was very efficient so I was a little confused.

A lovely spot underneath the rail way, makes a good coffee and some really nice baked goods and food! The quiches steal the show in this little spot, but how lovely the staff are (especially when it’s busy and rammed) makes the whole experience. They really are the best thing about here.

A really bustling bakery right next to Temple Meads. The latte was nice, and the blackcurrant and sour cream crumble slice was good too, but just super, super busy if you go on a weekday lunchtime like I did. Staff very friendly, and I was served quickly.

Wow...excellent bread, cakes and pastries freshly made to delight the most discerning patrons. Although the place looks unattractive on the outside, crowds of people are queueing to get a bite. The service staff are very friendly and efficient. A experience that warrants repetition to come often. 😋😍🥰🤩

I haven't been back to Bristol and Hart's for well over 5 years. So glad the toasties and coffee are as good as ever. The mushroom vegan sausage roll has ruined me forever👌.

Solid artisan bakery, and probably one of the best sausage rolls I've ever eaten. The filling was rich, coarse, bursting with flavour and texture. It almost felt and tasted like meatloaf wrapped in puff pastry. Absolutely delicious. The hazelnut brownie was also amazing, the base was very compact but the top layer was very smooth and creamy, with the taste and texture of an upmarket Ferrero Rocher. Really can't fault the food at all.

Ahh Toots is one of those little cake shops that instantly makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. The building itself has that old-school charm, all cozy corners and slightly creaky floors, though I’ll admit it does get a bit cramped when it’s busy. Despite the tight space, the staff make up for it completely. They were so friendly and easy to chat to, really made the visit feel personal. I tried the chocolate caramel ganache cookie and wow, it was a real treat. The chocolate was rich but not overpowering, and the caramel oozed just enough to give it a gooey, indulgent center. Every bite had that perfect balance of sweet and slightly bitter chocolate with the smooth, buttery caramel, really hitting that comfort food spot. On the other hand, the sprinkle caramel shortbread was a letdown. It was hard to bite into and, unfortunately, lacked any real flavor. The caramel didn’t shine at all, and the texture made it feel a bit dry and lifeless. It’s a shame because I had high hopes, but at least the cookie more than made up for it. Overall, it’s a charming spot with some hits and misses, but chatting with the staff and enjoying a stellar cookie makes it worth a visit.

Popped in for the first time today just after 2pm. Heard so many great reviews on social media and my daughter really wanted to go here. Ahh Toots did not disappoint. Such an amazing choice of cakes. It was like Christmas came early. The chocolate Guinness cake was devine and my daughter loved the Jammie Dodger blondie. The staff were so friendly & smiley. Although a small venue it was cute & quaint in an oldie worldie atmosphere. Watching people looking in the window with their faces lit up at the display was fab. Definitely will be back and will recommend.

Lovely, cosy spot. Came here after a 2 hour walk. The staff were so welcoming. The food has a lovely range, including some unique cakes and drinks.

They made my 21st birthday cake - the most delicious carrot cake decorated absolutely beautifully. Couldn’t have been more lovely. Thank you so much!! (The staff are also always super lovely and happy to help you as an added bonus :) )

Tiny Cafe in a historic old building: note there are only 12 covers in the seating area, which is up a step. So one has to rely on take-away sometimes as seating is limited. Good choice of baked goods. The Staff are exceptionally pleasant and friendly. (Card payment only)

I have come here twice, first time was amazing, second time amazing too but there was a mishap with a dish. I won't get into that because I don't think it was their fault, but I want to say, after buying the cake and not being able to eat it, they asked if I would like something else to compensate (essentially a free item from the bakery). I asked for one little almond biscuit, but I recieved a plate and a bag to take them home with! It was an incredibly sweet interaction. They care for their customers a lot here and I'm excited to purchase more little almond biscuits when I next stop by! Thanks for the lovely food and warm atmosphere!

Ahh Toots created our vegan wedding cakes, for our wedding at Blackfriars Priory on 23rd October. Tam was always so lovely to deal with and completely understood what we wanted, they had so many options and flavours and it was amazing to see so much choice for vegans! The cake looked incredible and tasted even better, we had many non vegan guests who said it was the best cake they ever had, and even though we had double the amount of portions for guests, a lot of it went that evening! We couldn't be happier, and it was a real highlight of the evening, thank you Tam + Ahh Toots team

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I just had a quiche and a cinnamon bun and felt like I had to. Watching the lovely lady making the dough from scratch, seeing everything prepared fresh, I was expecting something nice. But after the first bite, I questioned whether I’d ever truly eaten baked goods before. The flavor, the texture. I was lost for a moment. I didn’t know who or where I was, only that I’d just savored a small slice of heaven. Highly recommend.

Amazing sourdough - honestly, its one of the best I've ever eaten in my life, and I grew up eating bakery bread, HOWEVER, I was shocked to know they dont slice the bread they sell or have a slicing machine. I was advised to cut the bread at home - which is the obvious (and a tad paternalistic). I could not have bought it, but I wanted to taste the bread as I drive in front of it every day and see the hype. Now I get it. But, I have terrible eye sight and live by myself. The risk of cutting myself while cooking is real, and it happens. Had to ask my kind neighbour to slice the bread for myself, which is a favour and not an everyday thing, obviously. I could have given 5 stars, but I couldn't find an explanation for a bakery not to have a bread slicer in 2025. Sorry, guys.

Good sourdough, I love the thick caramelised crust and the crumbs was moist and tender. I bought the large white sourdough. Don't hesitate to grab the large ones as it would be gone before you know! It was so good with just simple good quality of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Very friendly staffs with lovely smiles!

Friendly staff, best sourdough I’ve ever had and the place smells incredible. If you like proper ripe/sour sourdough this is the one for you. It’s truly amazing 😍

What witchcraft is this? I just moved up the road, heard good things, thought I could handle it—how wrong I was. I ate what can only be described as the most bloody amazing almond croissant ever. A hefty boy, a nice weight to him and sporting a good tan, it was flaky in all the right places, ever so buttery and crispy and fragrant, topped off with perfectly toasted almonds and dredged in powdered sugar. Inside, a decadent almond dream—not the sickly sweet artificial garbage you usually get fobbed off with. This was the real deal. Just to blow my own mind, I adulterated the poor sod with a streak of almond butter—which if you haven't done before you must immediately, but sit down before you do because it's next level stuff. I need to move house again or I will quickly become an almond croissant myself.

Smashing out some of the finest sourdough in the northern hemisphere. With steep and rich local competition. Much chat about their vegan take on a seasonal classic, the hot cross bun. It's a beautiful thing, but does it beat the Bristol Loaf? Jury's out. Eat them both.

The best sourdough, and so many treats. Always a queue at the weekend but it moves pretty quick so don't be put off, it's worth the wait!

Lovely staff, cosy atmosphere and nice music. However, I am not sure if the baristas are trained on how to dial in coffee? I have tried Clifton coffee at other cafes, and usually tastes great! Here, it was very watery and barely tasted like coffee, so I am assuming it is not dialled in correctly.

A trendy coffee shop that is also a bakery producing quality breads and a wide selection of cakes. The place has a lovely atmosphere, it's a nice space to be in. The service is very charming, the coffee was excellent and we also enjoyed the cheesecake and the raspberry cake we tried on our visit.

Fantastic independent coffee shop with a friendly atmosphere. Got the name of the barista who served us, Joe, who was lovely. Would be interested to know where he got his hair cut as well because it looked great.

When you google search it says that you have a Wheelchair-accessible entrance so we came today with our friend who uses a wheelchair. There is no wheelchair access and no ramp to get up the small step into the building. We waited outside in the wind and the rain to be told this. Please do get a foldable ramp for your business, they don't cost much!

We had the most amazing cake for our daughter’s wedding. The sample box of flavours was great and helped them choose. Communication on ordering was simple and thorough. Thank you for making this part of the day special

I had been looking forward to the cake cutting moment all day and at 8pm, when we were called upstairs to cut the cake, I was practically skipping whilst holding onto my wedding train 😂😂🙌🙌 It's quite hard to think of enough words, or enough emojis ❤️❤️, to convey how much joy our wedding cake brought to not only us but to our guests. You delivered a visually perfect cake and the BEST tasting cake I've EVER eaten ❤️❤️ Your cake elevated my wedding cake WOW moment for my guests and I'm so happy with every single part of the finished cake. So lucky to live close to Anna's - they do the most delicious filled cookies I've ever had. The pecan praline one has the tastiest buttercream filling I have ever tried! The macarons are amazing: always melt-in-your-mouth fresh, and they taste exactly like their descriptions. Always struggle to just pick one when I go in. My partner treated me to a miniature cake for my birthday. Not only was it so much bigger than I expected, it was beautifully decorated and so tasty. Can't wait for more excuses to try their other cake flavours. This is my go-to place for a little treat, and I'll be devastated if you ever leave your Whapping Wharf location

I saw Anna's cookies on the Hairy Bikers recently and so I ordered the gift box of 4 cookies for my son and daughter in law for their 1 month wedding anniversary. They were delivered on time as promised and my son said they were packaged beautifully. He said they were huge and tasted gorgeous. I actually want to visit Bristol now just to go to the shop. We have been gifted a box of your amazing Classic Chunky Cookies and they are absolutely delicious. What is not to love! A very generous sized cookie, wonderfully crispy on the outside, lovely soft & chewy on the inside, what a treat! We will definitely be ordering them as a special gift for someone soon

For my wife’s 60th birthday, I looked at lots places in Bristol for cakes. Anna’s was not the cheapest, or most expensive. The service was good - another place didn’t return my call - and the people were friendly. And the cakes were superb

Papadeli has an excellent range of food on offer. Their cakes are out of this world and perhaps the best we have ever had. The chocolate celebration cake they baked for us was so good it elicited my toddler daughter's first ever sentence - "I liked it.".

Fantastic cookery school experience. Headed up by Simon and his team with so much knowledge and patience combined with a a love for excellent food and wine. I learnt so much and explored being more creative than at home with just a recipe . Highly recommend these events and look forward to joining another one soon . Papadeli catered for our wedding in the summer. The food was incredible and so many of our guests said it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding. The staff were brilliant on the day - very friendly and professional. We had a lot of guests there and it all went very smoothly, thanks to the organisation of the staff. Lou was a delight to deal with in the lead up; she was really helpful, transparent about costs, and quick to respond to queries. We had canapés followed by the feasting menu and then evening food later on - all were excellent. The portions were very generous and we severely regretted not bringing containers for the leftovers - the food was so delicious! We would definitely recommend them as caterers.

Papadeli provided the lunch and snacks for our annual event, and they were absolutely exceptional! From the very beginning, their communication was clear, responsive, and incredibly helpful. The team showed such care and attention to detail in everything they did – from the beautifully presented food to the thoughtful way they catered to a wide range of dietary requirements. Lou and the team and Papadeli were brilliant from start to finish in catering for my 40th birthday party. We had a full sit down lunch for 35 guests at home and it was perfect. Papadeli provided the catering for our wedding at The Observatory, and the food couldn’t have been more delicious and perfect for the occasion. It was an absolute delight dealing with them from the very start - thank you especially to Lou who was so responsive and helpful. It was so reassuring to know that this part of our wedding was in such safe hands, and everything was made so easy.

Went yesterday. Great value. Coffee was excellent and you may buy beans for very-competitive prices to take home. Staff were polite and service was efficient. The only issue was the lack-of-seating inside. I was only on a weekend trip otherwise I would visit more.

Delicious pastries, we had the cardamom bun, hazelnut white chocolate swirl, cinnamon bun and of course a fluffy croissant. Hot drinks were great too. the atmosphere is upbeat in the morning with nice music would highly recommend!!

Delicious build your own sandwiches for about £6, with a huge variety of fillings and breads. Be aware that they get busy and service can be a bit slow.

The only reason I keep returning to Mark’s Bread is the food, because the sandwiches are pretty great. Unfortunately, though, that’s where the praise ends. The service is consistently awkward at best, and rude at worst. There’s a weird smugness in how they inform you they’re out of something, and asking for a sandwich to be made from their own menu somehow feels like an imposition. I understand working in the service industry can be hard, but basic courtesy isn’t too much to expect.

Busy, vibrant bakery. I went to visit on a Saturday, and there was a queue out to the pavement. It moved quickly and I got my order of bacon in a ‘Marks’ white bap and a couple of oat lattes. It was just under £12 which is pricey - but I’m in Bedminster. It was ready in under 5 mins, I got 5 slices of streaky bacon nicely done in real buttered bun. Tasted very good, bun was springy and freshly soft, bacon hot and not too salty. Coffee smooth and delicious but could have been larger. One suggestion would be to sear the bun for a minute on the bacon griddle to warm it up and give it a bit of crunch. Thanks Mark’s Bread, I’ll be back.

Today was the first time we visit Mark's bread because we had various breads before, my brother in law used to buy it for us once we live in Gloucester! We love it! It was a first for the breakfast and wow, the most delicious breakfast I ever had! The atmosphere and staff were amazing too, very nice people! We can't wait to go back! Loved the eggs, the bread, thesausage, the bacon and those beans have an incredible sauce, YUM!!! 😍

Coffee is always amazing at Loaf, as is the service. Came recently as I loved their Vegan Potato Pizza slice but I think it’s sadly been removed from their menu, I tried the Artichoke and Burrata Panuozzo instead which was delicious and I’m glad I tried something different from their menu. The sourdough crumpets were also a big hit!

This is a really excellent place. The staff are very friendly, when you get their attention and the food is excellent. Their pizza slices are really something to try! Then you have the bread you can buy to take away. Which also smells absolutely fabulous. The coffee is a great roast too, not too bitter and plenty of flavour - at least in the decaf blend. There is no a/c here, however there are some fabulous big windows to open when it is warm 😊

Really nice atmosphere, with massive windows running through the full length of the place. Looks amazing in the afternoon sun. The food amd coffee were also good. Pizza slices seem expensive at first, but they are the size of like 3/4 of a regular pizza and made on a very thick base - worth checking out!

The food here is genuinely amazing. The pastries and patisserie are always a pleasant surprise. We will always get 1 sweet 1 savoury but honestly always lost for choice. I’m so glad it’s all freshly made. The pizzas here are delightful, freshly made for you every time.

Love the coffee at this vibrant place. The staff are always so friendly. The Friand is delicious. You get served quickly even when busy and nothing is a bother to them.

I enjoyed the tea & pastry but was so disappointed by the service & feel like they shouldn’t force you to have table service & pay a service charge if they really can’t deliver…. I went on a Friday morning, it wasn’t particularly busy & the one waitress seemed to be having a chilled day, time to chat to other staff etc on the other side of the room without looking round to see if people need help. I only got served when I went up to the counter & then told its table service, I also had to go over to ask to pay my bill as I waited so long to get any attention. For a small order I didn’t bother to quibble the service charge but it has left me feeling disappointed, I probably wouldn’t rush back just for this reason.

Fantastic!! So happy. Rose was a brilliant hostess too. The meatballs were 👌 and coffee too. Rarely does a place perform so well on all fronts - coffee, bakery, main courses, atmosphere, decor…Bristol is spoiled!

A nice little coffee shop to hide away from the busy street traffic. Good coffee, big cups! However, a bit overpriced. A baba ganoush sandwich for about £8 was small and fridge cold and £4.85 raspberry bakewell didn't taste of much.

I used to be a regular customer but recently took a friend with dietary requirements and will not be returning. We checked the menu in advance which had several options that catered to their allergy. On arrival, we were informed that none of these items were available today and the member of staff scoffed when we explained they had an allergy & told us to go elsewhere. The whole experience was bizarre and truly disappointing.

Daniela was great, super nice and super welcoming to me and my friend. I ordered the turkish eggs with chorizo and this was absolutely stunning! I normally don't get full on turkish eggs but this filled me to the brim and was seasoned so nice and was full of flavour! We sat outside because it was a nice day and the sceneries were great. I would definitely come back and bring my friends along.

I went here a few weeks ago and was extremely disappointed with the customer service. I was served by a brunette woman in her late thirties early forties, who had an atrocious attitude. She was very rude and short when I asked a question about one of the pastries. I also over heard her being malicious to other staff members. I will not be supporting a business that treats customers and staff with little respect.

Picked on a whim, and chose marmite mushrooms as never seen them on a menu before. Holy shit, I’ll be attempting to replicate at home – absolutely delicious! What a gem. Great, fresh doughnuts too. 100% would recommend.

Today they had a takeaway so I went with some friends and I have never been so excited to check a place out. I have a nut allergy so this is the first time I’ve been able to safely eat something from a bakery and this lived up to my expectations. The two women who were there were so incredibly kind and were even offering some samples! I had the carrot cake and it was delicious! My friends and I all plan to come back here next time it’s open for takeaway and I plan to order from here for my birthday. Next time I’ll have to remember to take photos of the food because it was beautiful ❤️. If I wasn’t a broke uni student I would be ordering from them weekly lol. I would also like to say that I appreciate that not everything is gluten free or vegan, so often nut allergies get lumped in with those and the product ends up expensive and not that tasty. I loved that I didn’t have to sacrifice my taste for safety and I love that they are inclusive to all 3 restrictions!

We ordered a variety of cakes and cupcakes for our wedding and they were amazing!! Daisy was great to work with and delivered exactly what we wanted. The decoration was beautiful and it was all such good value for money. Highly recommend.

One of Daisy’s celebration cakes was served at the restaurant I work at and I managed to taste some and I was blown away with the taste & decor of her cake so I decided to enquire about my wedding cake. Daisy was so friendly, she made the booking process really easy and was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning. I collected the cake and she provided really easy to follow instructions for travelling with and storing the cake. Luckily I managed to grab a slice before all my guests scoffed it all because it tasted amazing! Daisy has so many flavours to choose from, they all sounded amazing so no doubt we would have loved all of them but the ones we chose were so delicious. Not only did the cake look perfect and iced so immaculately but it tasted wonderful which was really important for us. Thank you Daisy for providing the perfect wedding cake. I look forward to doing future business with you.

We ordered the vanilla bean and strawberry cake for a 60th birthday and it did not disappoint!! Such a tasty cake that looked absolutely beautiful. Daisy was so responsive over email, and kindly had the cake made a day early after our deadline changed. We will definitely buying from Bodkin Bakes again!

I have ordered an afternoon tea set for my parents and Daisy is super nice that offers me another piece of cupcake for free. Communication of order is smooth and responsive, I have asked to change two original scones to cheesy ones, really appreciate Daisy can do this for me. The afternoon tea set is stunning and delicious, we love the cupcakes and scones the most, and will surely order again from Bodkin Bakes.

I used Bodkin Bakes for my daughter’s wedding cake , Daisy did an absolutely fabulous job and nothing was too much trouble - she kindly changed the delivery time and set up to fit in with the venue . The cake was delicious , and got so many compliments from all the guests. Would highly recommend .

Mrs Potts’ used to make my favourite carrot cake. It was £4.75 and would come with all the chocolate toppings. There were thick layers of cake and was good value for the price. A slice of the carrot cake now costs £6.50 and does not include any toppings. The chocolate drizzle comes at an extra cost of £2. The size of the slice and the sponges has become smaller. Although it tastes nice, the quality and quantity have both gone down and charging almost £9 for a slice of cake is extortionate.

Mrs Potts has been a favourite of mine for years with its amazing cakes and cute atmosphere. Every time I go in I love the cakes and brownies as well as the drinks but sadly it has got so expensive that I only go once a year now. I am very pleased that you no longer have to pay for chocolate drizzle but with a coffee and slice of cake costing £11 it’s hard to justify regular visits. Nevertheless the staff are always lovely and the food is incredible.

Mrs Potts Chocolate House is easily accessible. The cafe itself is decorated with warm lights and is pleasing to the eyes. It’s popular in the area and it gets very busy as well. There are few seats and you have to check if people are done so you can take over their table. (4 stars for this) Food wise it was scrumptious. We ordered their salted caramel pretzel cupcake and their chocolate cake (I forgot the name) without the drizzle. Both were fabulous. As for the cupcake, there was a perfect balance from the cake to the icing and to the pretzel. There was a crunch when you bit it in the cake was moist and it was flavourful. The chocolate cake on the other hand was also tasty! Velvety touch when you bite into it and the flavour is there. We also ordered there Earl Grey tea and a coffee which were a perfect pair for the sweet deserts we ordered.

Cosy café where you can get all things chocolate. We thoroughly enjoyed the "Brownie Sundae"! The atmosphere was relaxed, the only negative was the noise, it wasn't overly crowded but still a bit noisier than I like.

I have been going for many years, and have visited Bristol, Bath & Cardiff. The staff have always been friendly. But they have completely out-priced me - I paid over £6 for a cookie that seemed smaller than usual. The white chocolate in the middle didn’t taste as flavorful as previous visits. I think high prices and smaller portions mean I won’t return.

The dessert was amazing. Looking forward to try something else from this place again.

My partner and I went there for the chocolate workshop and absolutely loved it. Sounds like a lot of money but totally worth it, for what you get, it is amazing. Would certainly go back. Thank you to all the staff to make it memorable! Also, everything we ate was superb!

One of the only places which is open till 11pm. The coffee portions are huge, the pastries are fresh and lovely. There is a good variety of hot and cold food and drink. Nice comfortable seating upstairs.

There is such a wide range of sweet/savoury food options available and the coffee was lovely. The poor guy working wasn't quite prepared for the rush of customers as the rain hit, but he handled it well and even gave me a small dessert by way of an apology! Absolutely would recommend and will be coming here again

I had a scoop of rhubarb and custard for £2.50. There were interesting fudgy toppings inside and the flavour was good but it became grainy as I continued eating which was unpleasant. Although my friend had the banana something and that was not grainy.

Like other similar reviews, my friend and I were walking passed and the cakes on display enticed us in. I paid £7 for a cinnamon bun and a smashing pumpkin slice to takeaway, which was on the expensive side. The cinnamon swirl was tasty but the pumpkin slice was stale, dry and incredibly hard, it also tasted like it was going off so I chucked the majority of it away. Not surprising as the cakes aren't covered. Not impressed, expensive and waste of money. You've seen all the bad reviews saying the same thing so why don't you do something about it?! Covering up cakes for freshness isn't going to cost you much at all!

one of the worst cakes I have ever eaten! I did not finish it because it is surely days old. the sponge was hard and the raspberry on top does not seem fresh either. after telling the waitress that the cake seems old she gave us an other one which is equally bad. Would not recommend this place if you are craving for good cake. very dissapointed.

The desserts are truly delicious and fresh and the staff are incredibly friendly - you should definitely try their cakes, balkava and Turkish tea or coffee! The gözleme with spinach are also really delicious. Recommended!

We saw the reviews of this lovely coffee shop and decided to pay a visit, definitely worth every star. The food is made on site and it was all delicious - I had the spinach pastry (very fresh and not too heavy) and a coconut macaroon. The macaroon was so light not overly sweet and so moreish, enjoyed every mouthful. Very friendly staff, a young lady called Naz was very kind and helpful. The cappuccino was lovely. 💯 must visit.

A true hidden gem I discovered on Too Good To Go. £15 through the app for an occasion cake is a fantastic price, but after experiences with some other cake shops I was worried it wouldn't have much flavour. I got a chocolate cake with cherry jam, it was absolutely delicious and surprisingly light. Collection was quick too, and the staff were lovely. I was even asked if I'd like a message on the cake. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely be back, both to try the patessiere surprise bag and the baklava.

We have now had quite a number of cakes made by the wonderful people at Bristanbul and each one has been amazing and beautifully made. The last one we picked up on Saturday was for a joint 90th, 21st and 18th Birthday Party. Not only are the cakes delicious, they look fantastic and the staff are so helpful, such as carrying the cake to the car!

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I'VE HAD GASTROENTERITUS AND WHEN LOOKING BACK 24 HOURS - GUESS WHERE I'VE BEEN.. First time visited 4/7/25, young mixed race girl served me, got one from back, paid, left, at home, noticed it was flopping everywhere, the pasty wouldn't hold up? not like the usual hard crust exterior, it was more like light transparent brown? I didn't fuss, just ate it - serious stomach issues and 30/07/25 got a pasty, older woman served me but I noticed several flies everywhere, just sitting on the shelves.. but I just pushed on and ordered. Ate it in car. Now look.. few hours later, sulphur burps and now issues requiring clinic visit. I've comb back the days when start get issues, it's not my usual foods, it's the the one off visits here!

This modest-looking bakery has delicious bread that can rival great bakeries in Paris. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. Don’t be put off by the queues, the girls inside are very efficient and it wouldn’t take too long to be served.

I popped into the bakery today and was really disappointed by what I witnessed. A young girl, likely in her early 20s, was serving customers while wearing blue plastic gloves. However, she had long, red nail extensions that had completely ripped through the fingertips of both gloves. She was handling money—sorting through coins and giving change—and then immediately went on to handle the next customer’s bread and baked goods with the same damaged and dirty gloves. I come to this bakery regularly and I’ve always found the bread to be excellent, but I was really concerned by what I saw today. It just didn’t feel like good food hygiene practice, and it left me questioning how often this happens. I hope this is addressed, as it would be such a shame for something like this to affect the bakery’s otherwise great reputation.

Had a very delicious brunch here. The service is fairly quick, pleasant staff. Small place, so can be a bit crowded. The bacon was very crispy and delicious, definitely one of the best bacon avocado sandwiches I've ever had.

I'm sorry to leave such a negative review, because the cafe itself looked lovely. My experience wasn't good however, as we picked two chickpea pastries to eat during our walk, and when we tried them we found out that they were incredibly dry. The ends were hard and difficult to bite into

Always love coming here for lovely food & hot drinks, my favourites are the overnight Oats & poached eggs on toast. It can get quite busy especially on weekends, and being a smaller establishment tables can become sparse. I'd say £10 - £15 per person is to be expected, but most of the time the price is worth the quality of food. Always a lovely calm atmosphere, and service behind the counter is cheerful.

A very sweet coffee shop in Clifton Village with lots of plants in the window. We had very tasty cakes with our drinks and I thought the prices were a bit more reasonable than nearby cafés. Friendly service and a nice set looking out at the goings on outside. A very nice way to spend twenty minutes.

Visited mid October 2026. Had avocado and pesto on toast, gluten free poached egg on toast, two teas, brownies and gluten free flapjack and soup of the. Everything was delicious specially the soup. We spend about £35 which I would say a little over the averages price in Bristol but I'm sure they have a reason for it. May be Clifton is expensive. And yes, they do not welcome laptop on the tables 😞. I am giving 5 star because of gluten free options.

I cannot recommend this place enough, the beef pasty was soft and moist, the inside was full of meat but it didn’t feel heavy which was nice. The almond croissant is one of the best croissant I tried so far (and I tried lots). Good variety and nice customer service. Thank you!

Paid £4.50 for a can of drink and a sausage roll. The sausage roll was inedible, greasy, fatty and not cooked properly as you can see from the photo I've attached the "sausage" is still pink. Not impressed in the slightest.

Lovely bakery does 3! Types of Sourdough 🍞 @ reasonable prices. Very nice friendly staff who are knowledgeable, & don't make you feel rushed when asking questions. Gets very busy here from 9.30am at the weekend so get there early to get your favourite loaf!

Real shame as I used to love this bakery and would consistently rate 5 star. The sourdough now lacks flavour and chocolate croissant was under cooked, doughy and could not taste the chocolate at all. I think it was the croissant was even sprinkled with drinking chocolate. Overall I think the quality of ingredients have gone down and you can tell :(

Best bakery in Bristol no doubt. I don't know what we would have done without it during the years we lived in Old Market. Their sourdough bread is so good I'm almost tempted to start shipping it to where I'm currently living, I miss it so much! All their savoury pastries, focaccia and croissants are great, and I love that there is always something new to try. A really good thing is that they offer half price of yesterday's bread, that way we could make sure there was always amazing bread in our freezer. Thanks for everything!

I am willing to pay £5 for a good loaf sourdough but it needs to be done well. On Friday I was given burned loaf of bread and for paying so much money it is unacceptable. If you can't make a good loaf each time, I won't be coming back for another one.

I absolutely love this bakery. I've been there many times, and the food is very good. The ham and cheese croissant and a latte are a great way to start the day. I also like the cinnamon rolls, sandwiches, and all the other pastries. In my opinion, they have some of the best coffee in the Harborside area, and the orange juice is a good option on hot days. The indoor and outdoor space is very pleasant, and the location is even better. All the staff are very friendly, and the restrooms are always clean. I really like this place.

I would love to enjoy a light meal here, however, limited indoor tables while birds (pigeon) are looking for foods around outdoor tables. It would be even better if something could be done to minimize disturbance by birds.

Everything about this store screams smart, respect and care. I'm in Glasgow so I always consider shipping. But if you order £35 and above shipping is £1.99 and it's super fast. Their site is super old school looking ,but the function is all there, you can tell they've been at this a long time. The prices are the best. The selection is deep for real cooking they don't just drop an ingredient because the mark-up isn't enough. They also know trendy and student fair. See my new crisps. A personal favourite place to shop, they have some comfort foods and new foods I love to try. The only issue is there are so many things out of stock, however there's always an alternative. I especially like those red bean, coffee, wheat and strawberry milk teas.

It’s a very big Asian supermarket which sells a variety of goods. But some stuff that we wanted weren’t available or they don’t sell it! But they stock quite a lot of things which is good for personal use or for businesses. My first time here and if I was living in the area I would be very happy to come here to do my shopping.

I came across Wai Yee Hong supermarket during the long lockdown. The website is user friendly and it has an excellent choice of provisions (some of it are not available elsewhere). Goods are well packaged, recyclable and delivery is quick and prompt. Reasonable courier charges.

Asian foods heaven! This supermarket offers a great deal of selection from Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, or Thailand ingredients, and snacks. Everything that you might never thought you needed and more. There were enormous options of both fresh and frozen items. The aisles were full of rare delicacies and treats. I loved coming here for the Chinese New Year celebration as well. There were lots of activities both outside and inside the supermarket. There were lots of food stalls, and the best part was the dragon dance.

I live around this area, and I always smell a delicious aroma every morning. I searched online and there was indeed a bakery in the area. I ordered this week's special for £9.85 (sandwich + cake + drink). I can't believe how delicious the sandwich was. I'm truly amazed. I loved the place. I definitely have to come back with my family.

Visited on a Saturday brunch time, and it was almost full but still some tables and not a long wait to order. Lovely atmosphere and great variety of pastry and food! It reminded me of a bakery in Amsterdam. The pasty was super good, well seasoned and hot! If it were in Cornwall it would be above average. The sausage roll was very big and delicious too! Tasted like it had Italian seasoning and the pastry was crispy. The butter croissant was fresh, a bit doughy and you could taste the butter. We enjoyed the iced lattes too.

Coffee not the most consistent, they’re alright. Their pastry is not my favourite either. Latte to have in is £3. Clearly the specialty of the place is their cake offerings which is plenty to choose from as you can see in the attached picture. Tried the pastel de nata, that was good. They also serve sandos, and people seems to enjoy it, might try the veggie offering someday as I’m eating only halal. Good place to hangout on a sunny day, the seating outside is plenty. If you cycle via the Bristol-Bath railway route and arrive from Bath, this will be a great first stop after the long cycle. Great first stop before the long cycle if you go the other direction too. Don’t expect a view though, you can only see roads and warehouses nearby. Bonus points: they played The Smiths. Good music. Bike friendly, pet friendly and laptop friendly. And accepts AMEX.

We visited for our first time on a Sunday and we were surprised how busy it was. Despite this, all staff were working hard and we didn't need to wait long for our food and drinks. We were served by Carl who, as legend has it, used to pour the best Guinness in Bristol. It turns out he can make a very good coffee too! The sausage rolls were exquisite and the steak pasty was fantastic. Possibly the best steak pasty I've ever had. Thoroughly recommend a Ham & Cheese toastie too. The selection of cakes will please any sweet tooth. Thoroughly recommend!

I was induced to try this place because of the average rating. Unfortunately I can't see a reason why it's worth to go to this place ever again. By car it is a nightmare to find a slot, it is also expensive, the quality of good and drink is below every possible expectations. The service is unfriendly and "couldn't care less" attitude. Why bother going again? I won't, simple. The area is an industrial one, so obviously you won't be able to enjoy the landscape either, but not even enjoying a meal nor a good coffee. I left mine (that cost £3.90) completely full. It tasted awfully bad. I don't recommend this place for a drink nor a bite. But that's my personal experience. I wish other people a much better luck!!!

Just stopped in for a quick bit of breakfast and it was bloody delightful! Super tasty croque monsieur that wasn't sickly cheesy and a perfect flat white made with Extract beans. Definitely worth stopping if you're passing by!

What a find! Needing a quick drink and snack I came across this amazing destination FED. Upon entering I was mesmerised by the huge variety of colours, textures and flavours offered in their amazing display of food. From glazed bacon and egg packed rolls to sticky looking carrot cake and rainbow salads, I felt overwhelmed by the offerings! Coffee was great and the accompanying mint and cucumber filled water bottle for our table was fresh and zingy. I settled on the pulled pork and salad roll and a plate of mixed salads. They were both tasty, surprising and satisfying. Obviously popular with locals with children and dogs the atmosphere was of a really fresh and welcoming cafe. Lovely calm and welcoming staff too.

I have been coming here with my partner for a few months quite regularly now, it is consistently fantastic. The food is delicious, especially the sausage roll and fritata. The service is always excellent too, and very friendly!! Atmosphere is a 10/10. And the fig, pistachio and lime cake has to be one of the most amazing cakes i have ever tasted. Coffee 10/10. Safe to say Fed is my number one favourite cafe at the moment. Thank you Fed!

FED is hands down one of my favourite spots in Bristol. Honestly, whichever FED location you visit, you’re in for a treat. Their custard tart and chicken burger are absolutely to die for—full of flavour and consistently top quality. It’s a bit of a shame they don’t offer delivery, but completely understandable given how busy they are with walk-ins. Totally recommend if you’re in the area!

A clear standout in the ever expanding range of cafes opening up in Fishponds - this one really takes the cake! Friendly staff happy to talk you through the vast array of sweet treats on offer as well as their great brunch and lunch offerings. On top of this they are serving Yallah coffee, not a local Bristol brew but good nonetheless. We treated ourselves to a brunch on a rare child-free day, although they do have high chairs available if needed. Great selection of salads as well as well-filled brioche buns, frittata and homemade sausage rolls. Portion size didn't quite reflect the price but it was extremely tasty anyway. We then had a rich and moist Guinness cake to go which was sublime! Could have spent all day sampling cakes there but unfortunately time and money didn't allow. Overall would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area, or even if you aren't!

I popped in here on my recent visit to Bristol. I had seen it looking nice en route into town in the morning. On entering the staff were warm and friendly, the food looked delicious but I had already eaten. I ordered a coffee and asked for it not too strong but not weak as I have intolerance. The assistant who served me asked if I wanted milk, and I said a tiny splash please she said, " I'll put it separately." I paid and sat down. The assistant bought it across to me and also bought a jug with fresh water with lemon and mint and glass, a fabulous touch. Coffee was spot on, made perfectly. I watched and listened to how they served each and every customer. They were polite, friendly, and very passionate about their food choices explaining what was in it etc, they said goodbye to everyone who left. Great service indeed I'd recommend and I'm fussy.

I had a wonderful full body massage with a 30 min face refresher. The essential oils used were all top quality. The amount of pressure Sara applied was just perfect. As l have recently had an operation on my arm and I’m waiting for a knee replacement the massage needed to be done very carefully and it was. Afterwards my skin was silky soft and l slept like a dream! I’ll definitely be going back to Urban Sole, l highly recommend it to anyone who needs some TLC!

Love Pinkmans on Park Street, but didn’t feel it here today. I thought my bacon sourdough toasted sandwich was boring, and my friends poached eggs were watery and not good. When we arrived, I said could we have a coffee and sit down while choosing our food? I was immediately told that we don’t have tabs here. I didn’t ask for a tab. I just wanted two minutes to just choose the meal so that I could pay for the drink and food together, but I had to pay for the drinks first.

Great food and service with a somewhat cheap and cheerful seating layout and environment for a reasonable price. Only a short wait for food which was on point as was the coffee. The table felt pretty flimsy and there were some fruit flies running around but I didn't feel like it detracted from the experience that much. Something I would mention is that in the tuna mayo brioche bun there were capers and olives which my girlfriend didn't like so it might just be an idea to check what's in it when you order. Overall good experience, would go again.

Excellent service, friendly and welcoming. We went around 12:30pm and there was a great selection of baked goods, sandwiches, etc. All looked very yummy. Nice coffee, nice atmosphere and one of the best pain au chocolat I've ever had.

Quiet and cozy cafe manned by two gorgeous ladies. They have a good selection of pastries and sandwiches for a light breakfast, and coffee is great too.

cappuccino is good for £3.5, but a bit strong for my liking. Same goes for the latte. When we arrived around 2pm was kinda busy and there wasn’t many available space for sitting. The desserts were also just a leftovers and not appetizing. Strangely, by 4 pm went really quiet.

Pinksmans food is always great, but some of the atmosphere of the original park street venue hasn't quite translated to here. Also very warm inside on hot days! Nice to have an outside area at the front though

Whilst the baked goods are okay, the service is very off putting. There’s not been a time that you don’t get treated like a massive disturbance and eye rolling is also frequent. They’re located very conveniently on the Gloucester Road around cafes that happen not to have too much, so you’ll certainly stop by at some point despite the huffs and puffs.

Couldn’t find any of those artisan sausage rolls in any cafes while wondering down Gloucester rd into town (it was 3pm) thought I saw one here but it turned out to be a veggie one, so I ordered a chicken pasty instead. Although it wasn’t what I had set out for I was glad I had bought it, very nice pasty.

Joe's has always prided itself on service but the Arches branch needs to sort its staff. I won't describe the individual but many will recognise the description of a blunt rude person whose attitude is that we are there for HER convenience.

Great variety of fresh bread, and flours too. I tried the olive loaf which was delicious with some soup. Will be returning.

There are 2 shops, 2 very different experiences. The shop by the prison has problems.... This shop further down the A38 nearer the city centre is much better for customer service. This shop has friendly staff, unrushed opportunity to choose your food and bread, just generally a better experience. The cakes are excellent and a fair price, there is a good selection hot savoury food (Good bacon).

Jo's cake was really delicious, she offered great flavours and even made a custom flavour for one of our layers. She provided a comprehensive tasting box for us, and even arranged the flowers on the cake on our wedding day to make it look stunning! She was a delight to work with from start to finish, and was very reasonably priced. We would highly recommend her!

Joanna kindly designed and created our wedding cake for us and we could not be happier with how it turned out. The cake was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. It was also so delicious - we had Cookies & Cream, Chocolate and Lemon & Elderflower and each tier tasted better than the last. She also crafted a figurine of our dog and we were so impressed with how it fit seamlessly in to the design of the cake. We had various calls with Joanna in the design stage and you could immediately tell how passionate she is about her work. She even accommodated a radical redesign a few weeks before the deadline and put both my wife and I at ease that it could all be done in time. We would certainly recommend Joanna to anyone looking or their perfect wedding cake.

We chose Joanna Pyda to make our wedding cake and evening dessert table for our wedding. She was very professional and it was a pleasure working with her. She listened to our ideas for what we wanted and created a beautiful cake. The tiers were lovely and moist and all three flavours tasted beautiful. The macarons, muffins, brownies, and cupcakes in the evening were beaufully presented and all scrumptious. Jo even catered for our guests who required gluten-free. We would highly recommend.

Slipping downhill sadly. Was an incredible spot to grab a bacon sandwich, however standards have been dropping over the last 6 months. Consistency is key in hospitality, and that was a strength of this space previously. With new staffing, standards have dropped, the coffee is now over steamed, the bacon flaccid and underdone - and worse, now being on Deliveroo, haven’t taken any steps to deal with the influx of orders. Still trying to serve all the in person customers, and online ones with one griddle. Homemade red sauce is great, but is it worth a 40 minute wait?

Nice little bread shop tucked away inside on Chandos road. Bacon rolls were delicious and the home made brown sauce was great in soft Japanese style brioche buns. Not a lot of seating and there was a queue so bit of a wait but it’s worth it. Also tried the miso chocolate cookies that were rich and indulgent .

Have tried a few well-rated bakeries in Bristol and have to say their croissant and pain au chocolat are one of the best in Bristol - super crispy, nice buttery taste but not greasy. The wholemeal sourdough was nice too, which had a pleasant wholemeal taste. Tried a few different cakes too. All of them were tasty and not over-sweet. Highly recommended!

I walk past the Cargo containers every morning and decided one day to pop in to Assembly Bakery for a Pan Au Chocolat and a coffee. Whilst the coffee wasn't quite as good as a specialised barista cafe (as you might expect), the pastry was incredible! So much so i've now been back repeatedly to buy more and would definitely recommend any of their pastries and baked goods!

What a fab find! We went for a family walk around the harbour, with two hungry children in tow a treat was in order. We stopped for Pan au Chocolate and a Cheese and Onion Swirl which were yummy. We are looking forward to coming back for more!

Amazing! Louisa has been super helpful all the way through the process designing and making the most beautiful cake for our wedding in April 25. After trying the samples we decided on a 3 tier semi naked cake with a different flavour on each. We rented the stand which gave a gorgeous look with cake. Louisa did all the hard work for us by speaking to our florist and arranging the cake decoration. She was early on the day to make sure the cake was set up and decorated perfectly. The guests absolutely loved the cake. I cannot recommend Louisa enough!! 10/10 Thank you Louisa!

Louisa made us a cupcake tower for our wedding in June 2024. The process was very smooth and Louisa always made availability for any consultations we needed. The cake sample boxes are wonderful and allowed us to take some time to find the right cake flavours. We were also happy that our request for a vegan option was straightforward and yummy. Louisa was able to make our vision come to life and was full of knowledge and advice. We loved our cake and would recommend Louisa without hesitation!!

Louisa made our cake for our wedding in June 2025 and it couldn't have been more perfect. We chose a three tier fondant cake with a large sugar flower peony with sprigs of eucalyptus which looked so beautiful, we hired her gold stand which really showcased how amazing it looked. The cake flavours also tasted incredible, we chose salted caramel, cherry bakewell and carrot cake, we tried these before deciding plus two extra flavours. Louisa's communication throughout the wedding process was brilliant, even composing a sketch of the cake beforehand so we knew what to expect. If you choose Louisa to make your wedding cake you will not be disappointed, she exceeded our expectations and we are so happy we chose her.

What can I say?! My cake was phenomenal! I met Louisa at the wedding fayre at tortworth court, which is where I got married. There were other cake makers but Louisa’s cakes/display really stood out to me. I was really after a show stopper of a cake, We exchanged details and went from there, The whole process was just so so easy! We had a zoom meetings to discuss my vision and drew up plans, From there I paid my deposit and ordered my cake flavours to taste test, We chose chocolate and caramel. The attention to detail was excellent, my vision had come to life and I cried when I saw my cake, Absolutely beautiful! Every single scrap got eaten, it was a resounding success and my sugar flowers are now, proudly, on display in my home. Monica from Vegana Bakes was so lovely to work with for our wedding cake in Oct 2023. We picked up a selection of tasters to try and sample, before choosing what we’d like for the cake itself. All tiers were delicious, the cake itself was beautifully decorated, all of our guests were catered for and loved it (including our gluten free guests). Monica made the day so so beautiful with her skill and talent. She was like a ghost with delicious treats! She popped in, dropped it in to the staff at the venue and left. I’m only sorry I couldn’t say thank you to her personally on the day. Really processional service, I couldn’t recommend her enough! Since the wedding, I’ve purchased two boxes of brownies, and will most likely order all birthday cakes from her as well, as what I’ve had so far has been undeniably delicious!

my favourite pastry, every time come to Bath will have their croissant, but I like take it home and reheat it, so all the crunchy layer pastry could stand out, wish they could do that for customers in the shop as well.

As a coffee lover, I have to admit the coffee isn't anything spectacular. Service was mediocre. The atmosphere is great, especially the tables outside, overlooking the main cathedral and the Roman baths. There were some good-looking sandwiches but I didn't try them, so I cannot comment. I came in for the coffee and it was a bit disappointing, so overall I cannot recommend to others, sorry.

Its a self-service cutesy cafe but the staff is polite and accommodating. All things on the menu are select and exquisite. Very cosy and homely seating. Great location.

I came to Bath recently, for the first time, on a mini little break before starting at the University part time. I did my research before travelling, and saw Mokoko was highly rated due to its pastries and scenic location right by Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths. I decided to add it to my foodie list, and arrived as the shop opened at 9am, and it was a Monday. I was so earlier the pastries had not been put out on the counter! I had planned to get an Almond Croissant, seeing amazing reviews for this, but overheard that these were not on the menu on that day (something to keep in mind if you're going for a specific item!). I wondered what else was on the menu and was given a list of options, where I picked the Almond Praline Chocolate Pain Suisse. It was a mild morning so I was able to sit outside, looking onto the amazing view of the Abbey - as well as the pastry! Now this was definitely one of the prettiest pastries I have even seen, which was a very positive start. Given the pastries had just been bought out I did almost expect it to be warm, which it was not at all. Nevertheless, I bit into the pain suisse. This was beautiful. The pastry was amazingly crispy and buttery - you can tell they use real butter opposed to margarine (not only by the taste but also by how the pastry comes together when you bite into it). The filling was plentiful, and the nuttiness well balanced with the chocolate. This is one of the best pastries I have ever eaten, made better by the views this place has to offer. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend popping by Mokoko if you're in Bath, and intend on returning myself (hopefully to try the Almond Croissant!)

I had the vegetarian breakfast and I absolutely LOVED IT!! BEST vegetarian fry up for sure :) I also loved the pinto beans and mushroom was so great!! My partner had the meat one and he loved that one too! One small advice is if we can have the music a bit quieter it will make the atmosphere even better :) I also think chai latte could be less sweet (or have option to add sugar if we need) could be even better but overall absolutely LOVED IT!!

Fantastic place for brunch! Service was excellent, and the food was incredible. Most of the ingredients are locally sourced, and the animals were humanely raised. Great options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I highly recommend the lemon & almond cupcakes!

Went in at a quiet part of the day. Was very pleasant, there were children’s books there which was handy for the two year old with us. I didn’t have a meal, but we had tea, latte, a baby chino and a hazelnut brownie. It was all reasonably priced and I felt that there was a good quantity of tea in a pot. The hazelnut brownie was very nice with whole hazelnuts in it.

Only recently started going here, didn't know what I was missing! Awesome ham and cheese, almond, almond and chocolate croissants, lemon curd Danish, lots of other tasty options. Natural wood interior is very cozy.

Overall experience was good but rushed out in the end even when the restaurant was empty. Customer service is not great at all.

Sunday brunch is a busy time for Bakers & Co. There was a minor wait to get seated but they provided a menu so we were ready to order as soon as a table was free. The morning toast, essentially French toast, was amazing. Two thick slices of sourdough (?) drenched in their cinnamon, sugar & egg mixture with creme fraiche. When you add cured bacon (extra £2) and rhubarb, it’s a sweet haven! I enjoyed the spices in the sausage of the baker’s breakfast too. There was a long time for our food to arrive, however, the service is friendly. I believe it to be worthwhile.

We recently went to OMA for a roast dinner to celebrate bday. The staff was super friendly with great vibes. The food arrived quickly and overall score for food around the table was 4 our of 7. We had a Sunday Roast and everyone knows that roast potatoes are one of the most important things in in the roast. Unfortunately those were not the best, they were not crispy and they tasted like they were cooked the day before or at least couple of hours earlier and left in the water. Pork belly was also in the menu described that it will have crispy skin, but that was not a case. The portion was good to the price tho.

Really cool venue and the staff were lovely but pizzas weren’t as I’d prefer (thin and crispier than I like my sourdough) and thought the child’s pasta was very poor in terms of cost/size/value. £7.50 for a pretty tiny portion of what appears to be penne and shop bought tomato sauce. I will give kudos for being given cheese when I asked it for it at no extra cost though. There are independent venues in Bristol with better kids meals for sure. It’s just a huge shame as after visiting the wardrobe theatre this is the ideal place to stop. Would happily come back for a drink though (great roof terrace) and to try small plates.

We enjoyed a delicious Christmas menu roast here in December, the beef brisket in particular was amazing. Loved the idea of sharing starters and desserts, all cooked really well and great flavour combinations. Had been wanting to try for ages and it lived up to expectations! Very good service and a cool interior too. Highly recommend!

Lovely Italian coffee place ! We really like and enjoy our coffee ☕, a real Italian coffee ! And a superb fresh juice! The food arrive so quickly! I think I never got it so fast so really appreciated. The staff is friendly and smiley, really like our venue. The Menu is large and lot of sweetest cakes are available for a good price. You can also have a cake and a coffee for less than 5£ so perfect deal if you craving some sweet with your coffee. English breakfast was as expected, a large bowl of granola and the salmon and scrambled eggs on the sourdough bread was really generous ! (I think the salmon was not the freshest but at least I got quantity of it and that's something missing usually as you have only one small piece of it ..) It starts to be busy by 11am. Really recommended for the quick service and the amazing coffee ☕

We arrived early in the morning. The staff are very friendly and we had some freshly made omelets and coffee, would recommend the cafe to friends who are traveling to Bristol.

The best café in Bristol, with welcoming and friendly staff, I felt very comfortable at ease. The atmosphere, the music, everything is so great. Variety of food and more than three shelves of desserts, I must eat and try all of them someday. (P.S Check out the lovely staff in my photo) You won't regret to come here.

I had the leek and feta pie on the shop owner's recommendation—absolutely delicious! The crust was crispy and flaky, while the filling was warm and flavorful. The shop owner was lovely, and they offer a student discount on bakery items. 10/10 totally recommend!

I always come here for a fresh Vanilla Custard Pie and a coffee. It's an amazing shop with excellent customer service. They have cookies and sweet treats from Greece as well. The people working there are amazing. Overall the best Greek cafe in Bristol.

we got a large baklava, the spinach and feta pie and a small kataifi to share and it was all super sweet & delish! if you have a sweet tooth you’ll love all of it. they have a ton of other dessert options as well so there’s something for everyone. pricing is soo worth it as well, they have full cakes priced around £25-30, honestly would get something from here if any celebrations are round the corner. will return to try their greek coffee one day!! there are only about 3 tables indoors but there’s a bar/stool area as well. also owner (?) was super lovely, thank you for the cookies x

Nice Greek bakery with MANY options of sweet and savoury. Prices not too bad. Great amount of veggo options to try. Good flavours and taste. There are 2 tables and a bench inside to sit at and some out the front. There was no space to sit inside as all the tables were occupied, but when we did get to sit down, one table was occupied by a man who worked there who was just chilling there. That is of course ok that he sit there, bit I did think it weird that he not let customers have the table. Just so you know, tere is no toilet 🚻. Good to try :)

I visited them for breakfast time, they open at 8:30am but the kitchen at 9am!!!! The biggest and most delicious surprise what the goulash available at that time in the morning, absolutely delicious full of flavour with the spicy pepper paste on the side!! The hungerian Lecho was also a delicacy. Really nice atmosphere and very hygienic restaurant. Definitely if you see thus, you should go without second thoughts <3

My second visit to gorge myself on the delicious cheese and gerkin toastie with Hungarian Lecho; enough to feed two but my excuse is that i’m pregnant and it’s delicious with the most gorgeous service, so why not? The coffee is also outstanding.

I stopped in this wonderful, friendly little cafe a couple of times while on breaks from being tattooed over the road. What a wonderful treat it was. Super friendly and such lovely food. Both standard cafe fare but also some gorgeous Hungarian meals and cakes which resulted in me, being neither especially hungry or a huge fan of cake, enjoying a delicious Hungarian cake and a huge plate of smashed avocado and feta with scrambled egg. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too. Hugely recommended

Personally, I love this little cafe. Their coffee is unbeatable not to mention the cakes...On weekends, they also prepare extra delicacies for guests with a sweet tooth like me.🫣 I've already had the chance to try several breakfast and lunch options plus seasonal menus, but none of them have disappointed me so far. You get really tasty, eye-catchingly decorated large portions no matter what you order, so you won't go home hungry! I also really like the staff, they are nice, always smiling, it's easy to start a conversation with them, and they also take jokes well. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The best cafe in my view in my trip to Bristol. The lady was very very nice and helpful with highly courteous. Tried to customise my order out of the menu, and glad that I got it done. Tried scrambled Egg, BAPS, hot chocolate with some croissants. Believe me those were mouthwatering. Good and speed service even at a busy time. Must recommend to others and will visit soon again.

Service was good as was the coffee. Eggs Benedict with salmon was pricey considering the hollandaise sauce tasted cold from the fridge and looked squirted. Very homogeneous, but the eggs themselves were poached well. When I explained to the girl at the counter about the unusual hollandaise she helpfully asked if I'd had it before.

Popped in just before closing for a panini drink and carrot cake. Lovely little kitchen bar. Friendly staff and a great place to eat if your visiting a loved one in the hospital

Not only are all the staff very attractive but the food is so delicious and also attractive. Lovely smelling flowers. I would like my last meal to be the charred aubergine meal which was so full of flavour. Highly recommend coming here. Wine bar is also amazing

The french toast was incredible and the decor of this place is lovely - lots and lots of greenery hanging from the walls and ceiling. They were also happy for us to play a board game while we had another coffee! (Plus perhaps the nicest smelling toilet I've ever been in)

We got a selection of celebration cakes for our wedding party and we were blown away by them all. The Bristol Loaf team did an incredible job making the cakes look perfect for the event, and to top it all each cake was unbelievably delicious too. We cannot rate the service more highly.

One of the best bakeries of Bristol. It’s upmarket so the prices reflect that. The quality is amongst the highest in Bristol. Just look at that mango pavlova. Ranked as one of the best deserts I’ve had in my life!

I ordered two large celebratory cakes from the website for a surprise event. The cakes were beautifully decorated and worked well as the centre piece of the table. They tasted great too. More importantly, the staff were very helpful and accommodating for my weird requests to help me keep the event secret. Everything worked and their communication was particularly rapid and clear. Will definitely use again.

The menu is a bit pretentious for me.. Lovely for others im sure. There is a nice choice of food to buy from the counter, however. Staff couldn't be friendlier on the plus side

Delicious gluten free, vegan cake - so happy about the choice as well! The feeds 8-12 cake was devoured by 6 vegans and non vegans in one sitting - big chocolate covered smiles all around :) Will be going here for future bday cakes FOR SURE!

Amazing cake order for my Boyfriends 40th Birthday as we were staying in Bristol and celebrating with family. I've been vegan for almost 5 years now and tried a few cakes in that time but the Black Forest Gateau cake was by far the most delicious I've had!

I moved to the UK in 2019 a month before my birthday. Every year since, my husband orders my birthday cake here and we are never anything less than impressed. Ordered 7" Biscoff cake and I still catch myself thinking about that cake - how delicious it was, the texture, the delicate top and extraordinary filling with a subtle note of Biscoff biscuits. Amazing cake, already looking for an excuse to purchase another one!!! 10/10 would cake again

Best vegan cake in Bristol! Actually i'd say best cake I've ever had, vegan or not! Honestly so delicious, enough for my husband and I to ask them to make our wedding cake. Guests had no clue it was vegan too, just perfect sponge cake! Excellent and friendly customer service!

I regularly visit Earthcake, and I've never been less than delighted with the quality of what they create. The gluten-free carrot cake is especially delicious. Ordering my partner's birthday cake from this business was a seamless process, and the cake looked and tasted great. I would recommend this bakery to anyone; these guys are the best in Bristol.

Cupcakes, brownies, cookies, coffee, and the promise of nanaimo bars! This visit we had cupcakes including, the very yummy, Maple Bacon!

I ordered some prosecco and raspberry cupcakes for my husbands birthday weekend and I can say hands down Greg makes the best cake I've ever tasted. I don't normally have a sweet tooth but will always make an exception for cakes as delicious as these. A true treasure on Hanham High Street but I'd happily go halfway across the UK for cake of this quality.

Lovely owner and staff, great coffee, and omg the cakes are phenomenal! Really interesting flavours of cupcake, like raspberry and prosecco or jaffa cake. The icing is not sickly sweet like you get in some places. I had a peanut butter cookie, which is the owner's mum's secret recipe, and I've never tasted anything so good! I wish I lived nearer, though if I did, I think I would be in every day and get extremely fat!

First visit today, I really liked the no rush atmosphere (as in no pressure to eat and get out) good coffee, great cake, prepacked sandwiches but all at reasonable prices. Friendly service without being over the top. Milkshakes are £5 which stopped us having one but apart from that we will deffo be back. Also lovely chilled house dog there.

Just wanted to say, the cakes were just magnificent (Big shoutouts to Midget Grandma). The show of respect was unbelievable as before I ate my cake we all took the knee and had a moment of silent led by Cal the Dragon. All together a pleasurable experience, I can see why it's so highly regarded now. Although the experience was great there was a suspicious odor coming from one of the other customer mouth but you cant control that can you.

I have now bought 2 birthday novelty cakes from Sticky Fingers, and both of them have been out of this world. They didn't only look amazing but they tasted just as good as they looked. I would definitely recommend them. They also do great coffee btw!

Unfortunatelt not a great experience going here, we went on Xmas eve, barely got a hello. Regrettably the photos looked a million times better than the actual products tasted. Spent a good amount of money on cakes, blondie and biscuits and none of them tasted nice (imo). Shortbread was raw and cakes had a very unusual taste. Marshmallow and meringue were very grainy, not sure if it was supposed to be like that....
