Great food, friendly service and beautiful view. The seafood chowder and tacos were delicious. Fried Oysters very good. The deck is a wonderful place to sit, protected from wind, in the sun. Casual atmosphere caters to many different tastes.

We came for dinner and were not disappointed. I had the Seafood Linguine which was full of clams,mussels, prawns and salmon. My husband had the New York steak which was done perfectly for him. Also had the Calamari appy to start and it was very good. Nice views right on the waterfront.

The place has a nice atmosphere and great views, and the service was friendly. However, the food didn’t live up to the price. On the first dish, the rice was overly sticky and the asparagus were extremely salty. On the second, the tuna in the bowl tasted far from fresh—it had a gelatinous texture that was off-putting. Unfortunately, despite the good service and setting, I wouldn’t return.

Another 3 dressed as a 9. Overpriced and a bit disappointing tbh. Hub had 1 pc halibut and chips for 25+ tiny portion of coleslaw. He gave it 5/10 said it was too small. I had a Crabby Patty for 29. Said it had Dungeoness crab in it. What I had was a panko fried mushy patty that vaguely tasted of crab. No bits of flakey crab at all? There was a ratio of 10% crab to 90% mushy filling. I paid 3.75 extra for yam fries that were over fried. Served in baskets on paper like in a food court and you charge this much?The entranceway has a musty old smell too, like very old carpets or flooring maybe. Great ocean views though! Our server Becky was great. These were the only saving graces really.

Quay West was one of our favorite spots in Campbell River. When we visited on July 29th, the restaurant wasn't incredibly busy, however service was slow from the start. I ordered the halibut tacos, which I've had there before. The halibut portion in 2 of the 3 tacos was perhaps 1.5" x 3/4" each. The third taco had a more reasonable sized piece of fish, however still quite meager by past standards and what you'd receive at other restaurants. The total fish in all 3 tacos is what you'd get in 1 taco elsewhere. The mango salsa was about a tablespoon for all 3 tacos. I did ask the server about the halibut and he indicated that I'd been shafted with the protein portion. He chatted with his manager and her response was 'that's the way it is, the fish is all pre-portioned out'. No apologies, no care, no quick conversation with me on their standards, she couldn't be bothered. I will not be returning to pay $28 for 3 coleslaw tacos...

Loved the warm and friendly service—super attentive without being too much. The dog-friendly patio with a gorgeous view made it extra special. Food was fresh and full of flavor, every dish hit the spot. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal with your pup!

Nice and family-friendly atmosphere. Stylish interior. Our server was very friendly and put together a kids' flight (soda) for our little one and a beer flight for myself, all of the beers I tasted were very good. There were games to pass the time, and great live music on a Wednesday evening - both helped with the one hour wait for our food :) Server stopped by a couple times to apologize and keep us posted about kitchen process. The food was good but did not quite live up to the beers.

So glad to have stopped here on our way through to Buttle Lake. Kind and attentive staff. 2 beer flights meant we tried all but 1 of the beers on the menu, definitely some of the tastiest beers I've had in ages! Stand out was their small batch this week, fruity floral tea collab with the cafe across the road for an anniversary celebration. Up there with one of the best I've ever had, for real! Mentioned we were sharing the food and they divided it up for us on separate plates so it was less effort, cute 🥹

We had the pleasure of eating and having drinks here. The food was awesome and fresh and the beer was great. Best of all was the service, Lief (Leaf?) (Leif?) was hilarious and quite the performer. I highly recommend asking if Lief (Leaf?) (Leif?) can perform some magic tricks for you. He blew us away! Absolutely amazing! He should be in Vegas! After entertaining us all with magic he switched to song! If you are there on a date, get him to sing one of his love ballads. His cover of Elton John’s Tiny Dancer was incredible.

On offer are a great variety of different styles of beer - the Ember Red Ale, Festbier, and White IPA were all standouts for us. The BIG bowl of daily homemade soup is a killer deal! A great kid-friendly atmosphere and super friendly service all make for a great experience.

Beach Fire is an awesome microbrewery. Their beers are yummy - something for everyone’s taste. And the food is always fantastic. Today I had the Buddha bowl: Super fresh greens with quinoa, roasted yams, chick peas and the most delicate, yet super flavourful tahini-soy dressing. We stop in here a few times a month, whenever we’re in Campbell River. Food, drinks and service are always top notch!!

I had the chicken sandwich special today and it was amazing. I would walk across a room in sock feet, scattered with lego for the potatoes. Our server Leif is constantly great. Big thumbs up for the entire team.

Anglers Dining is an absolute gem in Campbell River. The food was outstanding—every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Absolutely loved this spot! The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, with beautiful views of the ocean that made for a perfect start to the day. The service stood out — everyone was genuinely welcoming and friendly, but also attentive and on top of everything, which you don’t see as often these days. We came for breakfast and had the salmon eggs benny — it came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely be back!

Excellent food. Lamb was presented beautifully. I would recommend sitting outside for the spectacular view at aunset., and if it gets cold then they have blankets. Inside there is a low rumbling fan noise.

Nice restaurant. On the menu there is not so much coming from the sea. Strange being in the salmon capitol of the world. Never the less the food was great.

After some mix ups with the reservation system due to rolling black outs, we were looked after beautifully by the lovely Cassidy. He definitely is fabulous at his many many jobs!! Just a lil firecracker!! 👌Fabulous drinks, fabulous food and the best service!! Thank you for having us, we will be back!!

We ate dinner here tonight and it was outstanding. The sablefish was sweet and delicious. The root vegetables were nice. The rice was good. We were very happy with our meal and the service was great. There were many delicious gluten-free options.

A great restaurant with an authentic rustic fishing cabin vibe. Fits the feel of the area really well. We stopped in for breakfast. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. Food was great as well- recommend the smoked salmon eggs Benny. Definitely worth stopping in.

What a hidden gem! This place is unassuming and quiet, but boy is the food authentic and delicious! Everything we got on the menu was the best version of that item we’ve ever had. If we come back to Campbell River someday, we will definitely be eating here again.

We came in at 8:30, and even though we were the only folks in the building we we warmly welcomed. Little did we know this would be one of the best Chinese meals we’ve had in Canada. Feels like I stepped off of a plane straight into a busy Shangai street. A very thorough menu with first rate service. It was hard to pick only a few items to try. We asked friend to go get us food we paid for it I called make sure we had chop sticks plates etc she actually hung up on me 😂 I have no problem paying for quality service as my husband is mininer and class 1 truck driver !!! But I will be damned ever going there again after the treatment I just got !!!! Truck driver or not no one should be treated that way !!!! Discussing !!!! Food not bad though but sweet sour sucks fyi I am use to real Chinese food though not crap and that's not do to getting treated like crap food not bad but there's way better will be looking at other Chinese food here and tandoori waiting try spice hut if anyone is a tandoori buff like me so far parksville BC was best still looking for better though will update when find a decent Chinese food place ??

I had my birthday dinner here with a group of 14. The staff were very helpful making sure the dishes were special. I really like mainland Chinese dishes and eating family style the way groups do in china. We were able to do that here. It was a treat, the cumin beef, the MaPo tofu, and spicy eggplant were my favourites

Phoned tried to order delivery said use skip and hung up. Phoned packaged to order for pickup was told I have an out of town area code and had to come in and pay before she'd cook my food.

I know quite a bit about Chinese food and lived in china for over three years. This is the most authentic food that you’ll find without having to drive to vancouver. Get the cumin beef, dumplings, and spicy eggplant.

Yummy pizza. Yummy dessert. Waitress and owner friendly and very nice. Family friendly. Serving size is great. Atmosphere great. Nice and warm inside. Best place we went to in Campbell River and area to eat.

Visited this restaurant while I was in Campbell river for few days. Acropolis came highly recommended by a lot of locals so we decided to try it out. We called the place made a reservation as we were a large group. Got to the restaurant and reception was great. Our table was reserved as we had requested. Waiters was awesome and very personable. Once we ordered, owner/chef came over to welcome us. He was super friendly with kids and the whole party. Dinner was superb. Once done, chef/owner came out again to thank us and say bye. 5* for service and food definitely. 7* for the server, can't remember his name But he was great....definitely recommended.

Delicious food every time This is an excellent restaurant. The owners are very friendly and personable. The food is always delicious and cooked to perfection. My husband drives trucks for a living and has eaten at many different restaurants all over Vancouver Island and this is the only restaurant he will go to for steak. The Filet Mignon is incredible.

Another great meal once again by wonderful chefs and great staff. Everything on the menu is well worth the order. This stop we had the pasta dishes. Started off with great crab cakes and the main was sea food linguine and a lasagna. Both verb tasty. Will be back again.

I am currently working over here in Campbell River for the next 6-7 months. I have been here for 2 weeks and my family has come over from the mainland to visit me. We wanted a nice place to go out for dinner. We looked to Google to find a nice place and Acropolis was one of the 1st places that popped up. I am happy to report that the reviews were spot on. The owner (chef) came out to greet us personally after we were seated. Very very personable and welcoming. The staff was wonderful as well. I would highly recommend this establishment for atmosphere, service and food quality. We will definitely return and recommend. Thank You for a wonderful dining experience

We decided to try their new location on Island Highway. Very open concept and loud. Seated at a “Share Table”. Very odd and uncomfortable sitting\eating with strangers. My friends meal was okay, but mine was not great and cold. The owner/chef came out. He was obviously upset and was quite curt — and of course in front of the strangers we were sitting with. Would definitely not go back.

Awesome food. The HaliBites are one of the best appetizers ever. French onion soup.delicious. Cajun salmon burger delicious. Gravy for fries out of this world.

We wanted to have diner there but we’re refused the access because we were with our daughter. “I’m very sorry but we do not accept kids under 12” we’ve heard. The girl telling us this was obviously not responsible for the policy and also ashamed to tell us that. I could have lied and tell my daughter was 12… but we went eating at the Quay West restaurant without no regret! The food was fantastic there! And the view on the harbour nicer!

Ripetide was an amazing dinning experience. My Fiancé and I were looking for a sea-side seafood dinning experience and we found everything and more at Riptide's! The staff was beyond friendly, attentive and helpful. Matches all the fine dinning experiences we have had and this is not what I would call fine dinning. Well..., not on the surface but the food is 5 Star! Definitely be back next were in Campbell River. Thanks for an amazing dinning experience!

I live in Campbell River, I have been to the rip tide 4 times. Each time the service had been sub par. Last night it took 25 minutes for a server to take a drink order. On top of that another 15-20 mins to get our drinks. We debated to just get up and leave. This also happened the last time with a separate server. Food was good despite the 40 minutes for the server to just take our order, it was another 20-25 for food arrival. Atmosphere is great the venue is very nice. Will not go back due to the terrible, slow service.

We had a group of 6 with reservations. We were seated immediately and service was great throughout the night. The food was good. I had the blubbery BBQ ribs. The portion size was good and the sauce was excellent.

Sadly there’s a few things on the menu I still want to try, but I don’t see much need to go back…. A friend and I came here after a really long day out exploring more of his hometown. I’ve always wanted to try this place. I look very young for my age, the servers were incredibly rude to us. We ordered our food and drinks at the same time, I ordered a 6oz glass of wine and they put another 6oz the side in a decanter without me asking… We didn’t even notice at first and didn’t get a chance to ask her about it, (because I definitely didn’t want that much wine), and she didn’t return until long after the food was brought out. Our server had recommended my meal as my first 2 choices weren’t available… and reassured me the portions were large enough for a main. I added another protein incase. The salmon was tiny and overcooked on an incredibly bland salad. When my friend finished his food another server VERY RUDELY stared him down and said”ya want me to take that?”, as she walked by. She never came back…We were stunned. The hostility of the women we had service from was crazy. $150 (tip included ) for a “meh” salad, a pretty good pasta, and a basic pub appetizer, , plus rude service. Could’ve had all that at home for less than $30.

The atmosphere is pure bliss, the staff are always welcoming and accommodating. The food is made to perfection every time we have been (which is 4 at this point). I definitely recommend checking it out!

With the atmosphere being cozy with a touch of elegance our Horbour grill experience was delightful. Starting with a warm blueberry tea (alcohol) was a great addition to the great veiws of discovery Harbour in the fall. My entrè of horseradish crusted rack of lamb (rare), accompanied by flavorful steamed vegetables, baked tomato and breaded mashed potatoes was outstanding. I highly suggest the Harbour grill for a very satisfying meal experience.

This place was amazing. The service was great. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had. (I try many different places around the country). Literally everything on the appetizer menu was amazing, I think we had one of each and 2 of some. The French onion soup is a must. All the main dishes were perfect. We will definitely be back.

The food and service were utterly faultless. We all enjoyed our meals, and wanted for nothing whilst there. All of the staff were polite, friendly and attentive, also happy to chat and help with recommendations. Glad we stumbled across this place!

Had the local special sockeye salmon, wrapped in filo and stuffed with cream cheese, it came with seasonal vegetables and rice. It was superb. The waiter was excellent, although I don't remember his name. Next time 8m in Campbell River I'll be visiting again.

WOW!! What a fabulous restaurant. My husband and I went to the harbour grill for our anniversary . It was our first time there, the service was outstanding, the food was amazing. It's a lovely small restaurant with a view over looking the marina. We are looking forward to going back..

We’ve been meaning to try this cafe and now that we have, wish we’d done so sooner! Great diner vibe, and very friendly staff. Lots of menu items to choose from, and particularly impressed with the number of plant based items. The avo and toast with tofu scramble was delicious, and the veg hash with vegan sausage was amazing! Will be back many more times in future :)

The cafe was recommended by a friend… from the outside, you may not realize that there is a cafe in between the shops not related to food at all. It is a very retro cafe with decor in the 60’s vibe. Service was good & attentive. For a cafe, they had a huge menu Portions were huge, we enjoyed the meal tremendously. My hubby ordered the fish & chips, the fish was actually rock cod, something that is rarely used for fish & chips. It was very good, fish was fresh & firm, batter was light & crispy. He also had a clam chowder, it was loaded with clams. I ordered the stay afloat on a boat. If you happen to be in Campbell River, I highly recommend you check them out!

I love coming here so much I don't even want to write a review in case it gets busier! (J/k) in my opinion there are not a lot of great breaky spots in town. This one you can feel a little bit of Campbell River charm. It's the spot where the locals go! This old school diner has a big menu and always have famous milkshakes from those old machines! I usually get a regular breakfast or an omlette. Can't go wrong here! See u guys soon, thanks for working so hard! Plenty of parking and out of the downtown core. It is the IDEAL spot!

If you ever find yourself in Campbell River, please visit this Cafe for some delicious tasting food. Don't judge by the exterior. I should add that I expected the skillet meal to come in one. Good portion size and attentive wait staff.

The atmosphere in this diner café is super sweet! The waitresses (especially Cheryl 😍) were very kind and chatty and the food was incredible! Really recommend the eggs Benedict and the omelette!

Rarely do I give a 5 of 5 but this restaurant totally understands who they are and they do it to perfection. It’s a perfect family diner with vibe of comfort ….super friendly good people waitresses ….excellent coffee and lots of it … food delicious and well fair prices. I totally recommend this restaurant! We had such a good breakfast.

Dockside Fish & Chips is a small little place on the docs and is an excellent place for lunch after doing a whale or wildlife tour on Campbell River. It is a tiny little place where you order at an outside window and they bring your food to you in a small dining room. This is not a traditional pub or bar setting but more of a mom and pop place. So if you are looking for a bustling bar or intimate restaurant setting, this is not the place you’re looking for. If you are just interested in local hot spots with great food, this is your place. The food is amazing and you will not go home hungry!

Exceptional fish and chips! Very happy this is now owned and operated by More on the shore. The batter is so delicious and not as greasy as other fish and chips I’ve had. The dilly tartar is extremely delicious! Will definitely be back.

We had the fish and chips, chowder, and blackened salmon tacos. Everything was amazing. Cash only right now but they are setting up a card payment terminal. The only recommendation I have is to add a condiment and supply station inside (ketchup, salt, napkins etc) because they are only available on the outside counter so patrons seated inside must walk around the entire restaurant to access those items.

We have loved coming to this location over the years, and were so pleased to see More on the Shore open here! We've been to the new restaurant 4 times, and brought out of town friends. We were all impressed by the perfectly crisp light batter, juicy fish, and portion sizes. We've even stopped by just to sample the ice cream sandwiches....the Black Forest was full of flavour , and a great treat with the chocolate cookies and cherry ice cream. Well done!

We had gluten free fish and chips here one evening and were both very disappointed with the quality and taste. Both orders had undercooked and nearly raw, mushy fish while the batter was gooey. We would have taken our meals back to request a properly cooked fish but we had taken the food back to our hotel and didn’t want to return after our long day exploring. We cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

I can't believe it. 6 weeks ago I raved about the fish and chips here. Today horrible. First thing you see is nice large pieces but the batter is way over cooked (very dark brown) on one side and golden brown on the other. Turns out the actual fish inside was actually quite small but the batter was way too thick. Burnt crispy and dry on the dark side and still raw, uncooked batter on the golden side. We had both rock fish and ling cod. If you charge premium prices the least you can do is carefully prepare it at a consistent high quality. We peeled off all the batter and got a modicum of fish. I am so disappointed.

Great unique little Cafe on the water in Campbell River BC. Staff is super welcoming and nice. The have an outdoor sitting area where with a fire pit where you can enjoy your cup of joe in front of an outstanding view of the ocean. Coffee is great also, never had any food. Worth the stop if your thirty thought for sure.

Come here for the uniqueness of the shop. There's a nice outdoor area where you can sit down and enjoy your drink with a great view. Ordered a flat white and it wasn't exactly up to the standard compared with a lot of the flat whites I've had in other coffee shops. They use dark roast so there's a larger margin of errors. The drink tastes fine, although I don't think milk was steamed properly.

Love this place! We have to stop every time we travel to Campbell River. It’s such a cozy and friendly spot with an unparalleled ocean-side vibe. Today I tried their spiced Chai and I haven’t had one this good for a long time!

Our wonderful server was the highlight of our visit! We’ve been across the island on holidays and he was so friendly, never without a smile and incredibly attentive. Not once we were without a drink or food. He deserves high praise! The food itself was absolutely incredible and the local selection of drinks had something for everyone!

We’re so happy we found SoCal! We’re new to Campbell River and have tried a lot of places — this gem delighted us from the moment we walked in. We originally planned to just have nachos and a drink, but after looking at the menu we decided to save the nachos for next time. My husband had the Loaded Backyard Burger and I had the Chicken Bacon Brie-LT — both were fantastic. Our server suggested drinks: my Ranch Water was absolutely delicious, and my husband loved his Mango Punch. We’ll definitely be back for brunch this weekend. This will be one of our go-to places! With a great selection of options now available GF, like wings, fish + chips and their tasty tater tots - this is a huge win for the celiac community in Campbell River! Their new chef has also been bringing in fresh local greens for their salad, higher quality ingredients, and really bringing some great food to Willow Point. One of the best patios around to sit and relax, and now just that much better!

Vibes were awesome, great place to hangout on a sunny Friday. I was served by Toni, who was attentive but not pushy, made great suggestions and overall was awesome. Food was on point, good portions and looked amazing.

Don’t know where to start it was so horrible. Waitress was extremely rude, never checked in on us it was impossible to get an order we had to track other waitresses down. Then waited 1.5hrs for all our food to come out at way different times and had to watch some of our friends eat. Then to top it off there was no way the salmon wasn’t frozen then left over night and reheated 10x in a microwave. I’ve never thought it was possible to have salmon that dry. You think after waiting 1.5 hrs they could at least get the order right. As well they forgot the starter salads

What a pleasant surprise to find this within walking distance of our stay. Waited maybe 10 mins for a table as we showed up as many were leaving, they are apparently always packed. Peter (we found out was the owner) in a chef jacket, was hosting and seating guests, then delivering food to various tables. Our servers were great and the food was incredible! All made in house. Delicious is an understatement. The whole place ran like a well oiled machine. I’d go back to CR just to eat here again.

This has to be one of the gems of Campbell River, especially with the view that accompanies the food. Great selection on the menu! I dove into a Spartan pizza, while my wife said it was the best chicken souvlaki she's ever had! Hostess and servers were all friendly and attentive. You can't ask for more --except ask if you can make a reservation! They can get busy!

Everything was delicious. Service was amazing, I got the Mac and cheese and he recommended to put pork on top. Absolutely amazing, highly recommend to try their appetizers!

Lovely restaurant right on the water with friendly staff. The dumplings were outstanding, salmon burger fresh, and beers…OMG! Delicious. The chicken sandwich was a little dry, but the flavors made up for it. If you are looking for a restaurant to enjoy a nice beer on the water, come here!!! The service was top notch too.

My third visit, first two excellent. Third visit found meat in Souvlaki very chewy. I brought this to my servers attention and he agreed to replace the dish. Before the new dish arrived the owner came to the table putting pieces of meat into his mouth and telling me it was perfect.I found this way of dealing with my complaint embarrassing and inappropriate. As I no longer wished to engage with him I agreed that the second dish was good even though it was not. Overall, a very disappointing experience with an owner who is unable to accept an honest experience from a customer.

We had lunch here last week and were so impressed with both the service and the food! Anamika did an amazing job — she served us with such professionalism and care. We had mistakenly ordered a non-veg item, but she caught it right away and quickly corrected our order. Truly unbelievable attention to detail! She also gave great suggestions and knew exactly what would pair well together. If you ask for mild, you’ll actually get mild — they really listen to your requests and make sure you’re happy. We’re so pleased with our experience and will definitely be going back again!

Wanted East Indian food for dinner. Debated between the two local ones. Decided to go to Royal Aroma. We enjoyed the experience. The place felt cozy and properly decorated, the staff was nice, the food was good and serving sizes were reasonable. Most of all, as of Oct 2023, the prices are better than the competition. So if you want to have East Indian cuisine for a meal, I recommend you give this place a try!

The food was delicious, service was good, really no complaints about the restaurant itself. Except the signs outside (and inside) advertise a lunch buffet Monday-Friday, and as a buffet enthusiast, I was really excited for that; but when I got there on a Thursday they told me the buffet is actually Wednesday only. So beware of that! For this reason I gave it a 4 star review, but if they update the signs to be accurate, I will change it to a 5.

We had a wonderful dinner at Royal Aroma. All the dishes were served with tasty rice and were suprerb (Mango Chicken Curry, Tikka Marsala with Prawns, and the Royal Aroma Special with Lamb). The Naan garlic bread was super tasty and my wife loved the Rice Puddling!!! Both young women who served us were delightful and very helpful. Great dinning experience!!!

One of the best Indian restaurants in the north Island. We live in Courtenay but drive to Campbell River to eat at this restaurant. Delicious food slightly on the greasy side but that doesn't take away the authentic flavour of the dishes. Good service and ambience.

Finally got to hit this place up and sad its taken this long. While it was busy and did take a bit to get our food, our waitress was incredibly nice and hospitable and did a great job basically working solo. The food was phenomenal, and can't wait to go back again. Best Indian food in town easy.

This was our first time eating here. It's a quiet and clean restaurant setting, but the food is so so amazing! We had the chicken vindaloo and the lamb biryani, and we were so so thrilled with them! The portion sizes left us rolling home with leftovers, and we were super happy with the experience. Hands down, the best Indian food we have had in quite some time! Our server was absolutely lovely! We will absolutely be in again!! Worth it to dine-in!!

I ordered the Heat & Eat turkey dinner from White Spot this Thanksgiving and OMG — it was one of the best turkey dinners I’ve had in years! As a single person, cooking a full Thanksgiving or Christmas meal is just way too much, so having such a high-quality, delicious option that I can simply heat up at home is amazing. Thank you, White Spot, for offering this! It made my holiday so much easier and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

White spot always feels like an excellent choice. The quality is always consistent. The restaurant was very very busy and the service was still excellent. We even watched an interaction where the customer was rude (don't know why or any of the circumstance) and the server was polite, pleasant and solution focuses through the whole encounter. She then apologized to us for our wait and seemed very relieved when we were very easy going. No pressure from us, but great job managing a stressful situation!

My husband and I had brunch here during our roadtrip on the island. It took about 50 minutes for us to get our simple eggs benny orders. Got a little bit of an attitude from our server when I asked about an update on order. Luckily the food was good but overall not too happy with how the majority of the staff were dragging their feet when helping customers

The food was excellent. Our group of eight arrived an hour before closing, yet the service was outstanding. The food was delivered promptly with no wait time. We truly appreciated both the quality of the food and the attentive service.

We ordered two burgers. With five minutes our order arrived. The beef patty was luke warm and half my fries were small end pieces. Paid the bill and tried telling the waitress about the food. Server was not helpful and did not pass on to the cook our concerns.

Terrible food experience. I came in and ordered what my family has always loved —zucchini sticks. They were awful —too salty and no breaded crunch. We complained Immediately and never offered a refund even as we were tossing it in the garbage. They've changed the menu into inedible creations

The food is literally everything one can ask for. It's plated and presented beautifully, and the flavors burst and tingle your taste buds! And the table service is immaculate. After a 30km hike, this was THE place to be as Frank Costanza would say.

Food was really good. I’d like to think it was freshly made. Portions were a bit small compared to the other Baan Thai restaurant we’ve been too. Good spice for the curries we ordered. Trying to locate this restaurant was confusing as we ended up in a Vietnamese restaurant, but we were kindly redirected to the right place - which is above the Vietnamese restaurant. It’s almost like a mom and pop restaurant, but quite old. Service was very slow, we had to wait for over 35 minutes for just two orders. I believe they only had one server when we visited. We were tempted to get our meal to go, when we requested this, the server said our food was on the way to us. Service/atmosphere wasn’t professional.. the owners kids were in the restaurant, in a corner blocked off by a room divider. You could here them cry/play/laugh; and the owner would call out from the welcome table for them to keep the noise down.

Great lunch options at reasonable prices. I chose chicken pad thai and a spring roll, with green tea. Service was quick and courteous, and the meal came out piping hot. Perfectly spiced. The restaurant has huge windows that look out over a treed square.

Dirty washrooms (right by the kitchen), TERRIBLE service and food! Worse than a cheap take out place! You can expect to get maybe 2 tiny pieces of meat in the dishes (even though we ordered extra meat). The "fruit juice" was some flavorless, watered down concentrate. The waiter was totally clueless and the manager was very rude and condescending, insisting that it was "impossible" that there not be plentiful meat. We showed him the photos of our food before we started eating but he was still in denial and insisted it was "in there." Someone needs to train him on good customer service. Being rude to paying customers does not give your restaurant a good repuatation, nor does poor quality food or skimping on the meat and hoping the customer won't notice. We decided this place with its "imaginary meat," rude staff, and dirty washrooms (which made us question if the food was made in sanitary conditions) was not worth eating at and paid the bill (considered it a donation) and left.

Surprised by the rating. One of the best/most flavorful pad thai I've had in the past few years. And my 3 year old refuses to eat, but she loved the pork wontons, so we'll be going back for sure

I swear all these reviews are a targeted attack on this place haha I can’t believe them when the food here is just so good! My family lives up island and when we come down for supplies/appointments we almost always eat here since the Thai is so excellent, way more stand out than some of the very generic tasting thai places in the area. Maybe some of the reviews are so low because people are used to cheap chain food? Who knows! But for myself I have to recommend the curry, huge fan of the yellow curry and it always has lots of tofu in it when I order it. Plus the thai tea? Chef’s Kiss. Seriously though, it’s legitimately the best curry I’ve had anywhere on the island and honestly in general it’s up there for best curries I’ve had. Also for all the snooty little boomers giving a bad review for “bad service”, the servers have always been super friendly and perfectly competent. I swear those reviews gotta be like…. Racist lol. They’re a family restaurant so they’ve got kids and stuff here, which as everyone knows means the food must be good haha! Literally normal nice service guys. Regardless, check them out!! Love this place!

Spent 2 morning on Quadra and came here for coffee and food both days. My girlfriend and I absolutely loved it here. Staff were amazing, along with the food and coffee was top tier. I had the breakfast wrap one morning and it was incredible. We tried 5 desserts combined and my favorite was the pumpkin pie square loaded up with whip cream. The giant fruit muffins are also insane. Can't wait to go back

This marks the place where I had the best BLT of my life. The bacon was thick and cooked perfectly, the lettuce tasted like it was just picked out of the garden, real butter, mayo - I have been thinking about this sandwich every day since the day I had this one. PS I chose the white sourdough.

The food selections were absolutely fantastic; everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights for us was the beautiful outdoor area, which is also dog-friendly! Highly recommend this spot for a delicious meal and a relaxing experience.

Disappointed in the lack of service and rude, cold, response after 10 minutes of waiting, not even a hello be right with you. 3 staff on in the back chattering away. 1 other customer that was already served. I love quadra island and I love the warm welcome I usually get, which saddens me to write a low review in my favorite town. I hope they do better.

A small walk up the hill from the ferry - great spot for a coffee and pastry. Baked goods are baked daily. Excellent. Closes at 3pm.

Tried this place twice, just to be fair. First experience: Restaurant is in need of some serious love and repair. Booth seats are all duct taped together. Food was "meh", and I order a burger with a side of yam fries, and got plain fries instead. The service was brutally slow, even though there were maybe 10 people in the restaurant. Second experience: Tried the lasagna, which came with a side salad...along with some extra protein in the form of a fly. Lasagna was extra greasy and lackluster. My group of three ordered sodas and when the waitress finally came to refil them 12 minutes later, we never saw them again, even as we waited for one of our groups meal to come correct, as he got no fries and extra mayo, when he wanted No Mayo and fries. When we left to pay, there was no apologies for anything. Last time I ever try to support this business. Good luck anyone eating here.

We went for brunch the other day, when we arrived the place was busier than I have seen it in a long time. We waited 10 minutes to be greeted with menus after sitting down. The server took our drink orders and we got those very quickly. We placed our food orders & didn't see our server until our food was delivered over 30 minutes later. Food was fantastic I have no complaints about that! Clean cutlery, cups & plates. Nobody quality checked our dishes nor were we offered refills on our drinks. Our empty cups sat at the edge of the table until we asked for more waters. When I advised the person who took our payment of how poor the service was he offered an apology. I will probably be back one day for a benny but will not be recommending this place.

Atmosphere is dilapidated. Furniture falling apart, dirty floor, and no climate control (air conditioning) Service is bad but friendly. Served our food separate and 8 minutes apart. Staff served our food and literally never returned to the table. Food is ok, not noteworthy Price is about on par with a lower cost box chain family restaurant but really not worth it. Restaurant is sandwiched between a couple high traffic hotels and seems to rely on the proximity and convenience to survive.

I am sad to give you two stars, I used to live in Campbell River, and Banner's used to be the best restaurant in town. The location is excellent...but I found your waitresses, seemed slow and inexperienced. They spent most of the time talking amongst themselves and ignoring their customers. They never once came to refill our coffee, nor did they take away our empty dishes, which just sat on the table. Since we were a family of 4 and a child, I am sure your staff could make excellent tips, but people aren't going to pay for service they are not getting. This is the third time I have been back and no improvement, I wish you the best, but I would never recommend Banner's to anybody Maybe cut back on your menu, way too many choices

Decor could use some polish, food quality was alright though a bit pricey. There were around 4 other tables with 3 front of house staff. Other tables recieved wrong orders, our appetizer came out still frozen in the centre. I flagged someone down after about 4 minutes, and they remedied the issue right away but the inner temp was fairly scorching. Other than that, not really a stand out place. The menu is HUGE option wise but that can complicate quality and timing.

Ordered pizza,Caesar salad and cheesecake from BPs through Door Dash. Arrived lukewarm, no cutlery, no napkins and no dressing for the Caesar salad. Called DD to confirm they didn’t forget a pkg and they didn’t. Called BPs to let them know and they asked if I could travel there (from my hotel) to get the items they forgot to pack. I told them I couldn’t, and that’s why I ordered DD. I asked if they could credit me so I wouldn’t be paying $12 for a plain bowl of lettuce. She put me on hold and never came back.

Service was great but the food was lacking... our appetizers were both burnt. The pasta was still hard..... And the rib that came with my rib and chicken wing plate was a mere looking piece of meet. That look like dog food But the worst of all thing was the smell. There is a super strong un pleasent smell comming from the area near the bathrooms. Once u step Into the back area where the bathrooms are you are overpowered by a strong smell of what I know as mice pee and poop. Not sure if they have a rodent issue or not but it's over powering. And we sat a at the far end looking right at the bathrooms. And could smell.it. We have been comming here for 4 years and noticing that quality of food is going down hill. I hope next visit will be better or we will not return again.

What a disorganized place. Ordered take out. Wasn’t ready when I arrived as apparently food was burnt and they had to remake it. Then was given the wrong pizza. Also, the order number written on my pizza box was wrong and front staff double checked to make sure it was the right order. I double checked the pizza myself to see if it was the right one - turns out they had given my order to a skip the dishes order. This is the third order in a row that has been wrong for our family. Won’t be going back. This is a management issue. Front staff were lovely but the kitchen is a managerial mess

Took a very long time to be acknowledged to be seated. Taken to a beat up grungy booth. Women’s washroom was dirty and smelled terribly of urine. My pizza arrived ice cold. Waited over 20 minutes for a “new” pizza while my friend finished her lunch. I had to find our server to ask for the bill, still no pizza. She brought the bill with both lunches on it, and my pizza in a to go box. I said I didn’t want the pizza since I’d be sitting there eating by myself. She took my pizza off the bill but the manager said “only if she didn’t get the pizza”. Server let me take it but hidden in my purse. Not one apology either. Got in the car and it was the same pizza warmed back up and missing a piece. Wow, ridiculous! Will not be returning.

Amazing food with a standout service. I was positively surprised to find such a good Thai restaurant in a Campbell River. They have a number of excellent choices in the menu and the service is top notch.

The BEST Thai food we’ve had on the island! Delicious panang curry, amazing pad thai and was made SO quick! We were running late for a movie and they made our food within 5 minutes for take out. Very friendly staff as well. Can’t wait to go back and sit in the beautiful restaurant next time!

Oh. My. GAHD!! I’ve been looking for amazing Asian food since I moved to the island from SK. This was beyond incredible. The food was amazing, the waiter Daniel was the best server I’ve had…maybe in my life. We had Pad Thai & the Kristy special with extra spice. Wow. My new favorite place to eat, hands down.

The food is delicious, flavors are excellent. My only gripe is the portion size. The prices are so high - $23 for one dish - and it's not enough food for a meal. I would pay that amount for a larger serving or less money for that size of serving, but the value isn't right. The take out containers are small and the box for the noodles was only half full. If the portions were generous it would be easy to give 5 stars and I would eat here more often.

Great place for Thai food and will definitely be back. Only negative (reason for the 4 star) comment would be the price for a bowl of Tom Kha was quite expensive at nearly $22, comes with rice but it was said the bowl is for one person, didn't see the size of the bowl but the picture of it seems to be a regular single serving. Great people and service.

Must have changed owners, not nearly on par with the quality it used to be. $22 for a bowl of cabbage, onions, carrots, a few bits of chicken in a watery coconut milk soup. No eggplants, no bamboo shoots, no peas. No good mushrooms in the soup, no roasted garlic cloves, no Thai chili peppers. Just a whole lot of nothing and it's not a big surprise that there's not much flavour...

Omgosh yum! Our dishes were delicious and the restaurant is so cute. Service was great. Would 100% reccommed this place and will be back when I am in this area again!

To be fair, I think I've been spoiled by Vancouver gyro joints. Because this was such a disappointing experience. I went in for the very first time today excited to see what their falafel menu was like. I got a falafel plate and subbed tabouli in for their standard salad ($2 extra). Was weird they let me sub a salad but when I asked for tabouli salad on my falafel wrap they said they couldn't do that. Anyways the atmosphere was weird and somber and the clerk didn't have a shred of human emotion when interacting with me. The hummus tasted sour not like in a yummy lemon way but in a this is probably expired way. Cucumber garnish was dried and had been sitting out for a while. And the white garlic sauce tasted super off too (inedible). And the falafel barely had any spices in it and wasn't fried the whole way thru. I'm glad campbell river has middle eastern food because I love love love middle eastern food but it's sad to see that they have to cut costs so much that it reflects poorly on the quality of their food. I'm not one to write reviews and I hate being a Karen but I regret the $20 I spent here for lunch today.

Finally tried this place today. I’ve only had authentic shawarma a couple of times before, but have had dozens (maybe hundreds) of donairs and a few gyros over the years. I love these small family operated places that focus on a few special authentic dishes. Their beef shawarma was delicious. Amazing flavour to the meat that seemed to linger, and I could still taste it hours later. Tasty, garlicy sauce and overall just great. The baba ghanoush and hummus sides were also good and obviously made in house. Tasted fresh. Thanks for that! Minor complaint - there were too many turnip pickles in the wraps (they were good, just too many), and we really didn’t find any tomatoes. Portions and overall quality were fair for the price all things considered. I’ll be back anytime I’m in town.

I tried the Chicken shawarma (regular size $9.53) the other day. The chicken had lots of flavor and it was tender which is very important in a shawarma. The vegetables and sauce was great too. My only complaint was it was a little on the thin size compared to other regular size from the big city. Maybe I should of went for a large size. The staff there are really friendly and quick. I'll try the large next time and update my review when that happens.

Best vegan food I’ve ever had. Loved it so much. Hummus and Pita were amazing The fries weee over the top great Syrian Plate was so delicious. No photos because I ate it too fast.

This is a must visit if you're in Campbell River. I went there on a whim two years ago, and fell in love with muhamara, a walnut and red pepper based dip which I haven't found better anywhere I've been. Their name sake dip is also delicious with just the lightest hint of smokiness that will make you wonder how you just ate a whole container. Prices are great, food is great, make sure you go here.

I’m in town from the Lower Mainland for work and have been struggling for decent take-out food. I had hoped Best Wok would change that, but I was wrong. I ordered the chicken chow mein and sweet and sour boneless pork. The noodles in the chow mein were tender, but cut into short strands and the chicken was dry and tasted over cooked. The sweet and sour boneless pork was dry and the flavour was off. If you’re in a pinch for Chinese food, I imagine there are some other decent dishes offered, but these were underwhelming.

Not impressed we ordered the 4 in 1 special and deep fried wontons the wontons were deep fried wonton wraps with no center just deep fried wraps .Want to say more but will leave it like that. Will not be back.

Ambiance was okay. The server was nice. Their food was not good. I ordered the 4 in 1 combo (Chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice plus two choices of your own). The noodles were bland and the chicken toppings were too dry and tasteless also. Fried rice was hard. I think it was leftover and they just reheated it. Stir fried veggies were not fresh. The breaded prawns were full of batter (as seen on the pic). Spring roll was just okay though. Worst dinner I ever had in a Chinese restaurant.

Food made as if the cook had never seen Chinese food. Simply awful food. The server admitted that this was the worst food in CR and if she could get another job she would. No offer to reduce the bill even though it was obvious we didn’t (couldn’t) eat it. $82 for putrid inedible food. Stay away!

Food was super dry and Chicken chow mein, poorly made. The deep fried wontons, were basically deep fried wonton wrappers as the meat enclosed pea sized and were ridiculously small.

Literally the saddest Chinese food I’ve ever ate. Sweet sauce is usually red no idea what this is... beef and broccoli should have a thick brown sauce not this weird liquidy thing... but to be honest I have yet to find a good Chinese place in this town. Guess I’ll just have to deal with the fact I don’t get east coast Chinese anymore (MUCH tastier)

We had take out last night. 6 dishes for $85. Good portions. Good quality. The chicken chow mien needs a bit of improvement. Bbq pork fried rice was great. Best wok Stir fry was loaded. All in all its our new go to Chinese take out.

We are staying at the Coast Discovery Inn which this restaurant is located in. We had supper there when we arrived & free buffet breakfast comes with hotel stay. My husband loved the chowder and a bowl is huge, not a small bowl. The delicious stir fry has tons of vegetables and sauce. The staff are exceptional! The buffet breakfast is eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, cereal, porrage, toast, muffins, coffee, tea, juice. The breakfast buffet is well stocked and a great way to start your day. Only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s a bit expensive and the building is old & in need of upgrades.

Alvin is amazing with flowers, Ian is so personable and accommodating. This restaurant makes excellent nachos and the bar is a very great convenience for locals and hotel gusts.

The chowder is absolutely phenomenal here… please never get rid of it. The greens salad is fantastic, not just a boring greens salad with minimal ingredients like a lot of restaurants, they actually try with theirs and it has fantastic ingredients, the chicken tenders are also veryyy good! (The continental breakfast is meh)

The hotel looks a little tired from the outside but I was very pleasantly surprised when I checked in. The interior was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, our server, Jo, was very pleasant and advised us on places to visit. Ricky was also very friendly and efficient. Our room on the 5 floor was a good size with an excellent view. I would certainly stay here again.

Really enjoyed the prime rib meal. It comes with salad or clam chowder and dessert, I had the sticky pudding. Everything was delicious. We bought extra soup to take with us because it was so good. Wife and I really enjoyed our breakfast as well. We would definitely eat here again.

Going to school in rented room. Have food from restaurant. School paid , so it was awesome 👍. Can't complain 😊 A year later... return for work. Full service! It was awesome! Food was great , people were awesome. And I seen familiar staff face that made me smile...

We had a wonderful Christmas dinner here on Christmas Day. Staff were very attentive as well. We were served a huge turkey dinner with both white and dark meat, three kinds of vegetables, mashed potatoes, great cranberry and bread stuffing and gravy. Then we had our choice of 10 different kinds of pie for dessert! All this for $25 each.

The friendliest team and huge portions, you get value for money here. The breakfasts were delicious, and they even gave us a cookie to take away for our drive.

Highly recommend the eggs benny. They even make the English muffins from scratch. Big generous portions. Will definitely be back.

Quite disappointed with our experience as the cafe was highly rated. We ordered pancakes and eggs Benedict and the quality was poorly executed. Our bill was around $47 this included a kids chocolate milk and hot chocolate. Definitely not worth the price.

Oh my gosh just eat here! I love the Beachwood Corner Cafe. Large portions for the price you pay and home made feels!! Our food came out really hot, fresh from the stove, amazing. I am a poached egg lover and I make them at home all the time, I must add my egg was perfect. People next to me were raving while we were eating and we were too! Best spot in Campbell River to eat and I always bring my friends & family here!!

This is such a cute place. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was amazing. Their portions are so large I couldn’t eat it all and felt like I was wasting a lot of food. If I ever get the chance, I would 100% stop here again.

You want food poisoning come here. Nothing is rotated. All the food is held at room temperature. Nothing is properly cooled because there is no ice. All the fridges at summer where above food safe temperatures. The over head fan is not operating correctly causing the fan above the stove to crack. You have to get the SQ footage to make sure it's at the right intervals probably 40. All the AC units broke the temperature was too hot. Chemicals held in ice cream buckets. I don't know how the fire suppression system passed as I thought there was one needed above the oven or even a fire extinguisher. I am surprised the food health and safety hasn't visited them.

Everything on their menu is sooo good I am in obsessed with session. Their vegetarian walnut sausage made in house is DIVINE. I subbed it on the spicy sausage and corn pizza, and on the nachos, I cannot recommend those enough. Their coconut grapefruit margarita is a gift sent from god himself. Please order everything on the menu you won't be disappointed pinky promise

We were on an evening bike ride and stopped in for pizza and some drinks. The service was amazing Levi is the bomb. We housed the delish pizza and and embibed in the amazing cocktails and beer. There was an a small potato vine jungle for selfies. Super fun stop in our ride. Highly recommend!

Session Taproom + Kitchen is such a gem. Kama and Levi took amazing care of me and made the whole experience feel special from start to finish. The service was warm, attentive, and genuine which made everything taste even better. It is rare to feel so welcomed and looked after and they absolutely nailed it. I cannot wait to come back!

This place is one of our go-tos whenever we’re in Campbell River. Nice tap selection and delicious food. Service is usually great. Perfect for a drink, snack, meal, dessert, or all of the above. Facing the Foreshore and Discovery Passage. A true gem of Campbell River.

The bathrooms were clean which in my opinion, is a direct reflection of the cleanliness of the kitchen. The service was ho-hum, but that’s likely because of the language barrier. The food was the best part of this place very tasty, nice presentation and good sized portions. I will return.

I'm so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and gave this restaurant a shot. The atmosphere is welcoming and our server was friendly and efficient. We placed our order and received our meal in a very reasonable amount of time and the food was amazing. We will most definitely be back.

This is a great local place to enjoy some serious Thai flavours (or at least as good as you can get outside of Thailand) I like spicy and their medium is no joke!

In one sentence: some of the better Thai food I've ever had. Absolutely delicious, steaming hot, fresh, and the perfect blend of spices and texture. I had the Pad Khanom Gin, which was very slightly spicy (I am pretty used to spice), and if I pass through Campbell River again I'm almost certain I'd have the same dish. It's all I was hoping for! Sounds like they would have a fairly big dinner rush, but we were there on a Saturday night and it was pretty quiet, with some people coming in and picking up takeout. I would highly recommend this place, and particularly the dish that I had. The spring rolls and very large, generous salad rolls were really good too.

The beef soup noodles was delicious. It wasn't like other beef soups which try to go for a strong beef flavour, but this was a mesh of ingredients that melded together perfectly. Noodles were on the lower end of quality, and the beef chunks were too thick.

While the drinks are decent and the food is fine, the delay in service and lack of hospitality really affects our experience. We try to make eye contact with the staff several times, but there is no acknowledgment, no nod, no smile, not even a glance of recognition. It leaves the place feeling cold and unwelcoming, which is rather. disappointing.

We hired More Eatery for a private chef dinner for a bachelorette party. We had a fabulous evening with Chef Joe and Ava. Our group was raving about the food and service all night. It was exceptionally local and fresh! Highly recommend contacting More Eatery if you need a chef for a private function as they will customize the menu to suit your requests and they are easy to coordinate with. 10/10 experience!

Love the atmosphere at More Eatery, I was there just for a quick bite but ended up tasting the carrot cake and buying some of the good products they have. Food was great, authentic and very fresh. This restaurant is for those times when you are looking for some quality food more than quantity, the portions are medium - small size, so be aware of that if you are very hungry. But great place and I would definitely go back to have a taste of something else on the menu.

More Eatery catered our wedding and we cannot say enough fantastic things about their service. They were amazing to work with for planning and were so responsive and helpful. The food was delicious and beautifully served family style. There was a very generous amount of all the food for everyone to enjoy. They even packed up the extras for us to take home! We got service that we didn’t even know we were getting, they truly went the extra mile cleaning up the plates to the kitchen for us as well. Their whole team was so polite and helpful in every aspect. Thank you so much for making our day stress free. We would recommend a million times over!

Oh my goodness! This place is a wonderful.gem in Campbell River. The staff are just brilliant, with food that rocks. They play old rock and roll and love our furry family members. They have a puppy play area and dog dog-friendly seating area on the patio. We enjoyed everything about this place!

I was expecting your typical pub but was pleasantly surprised to find a menu with many Asian specialties including sushi. I ordered the Singaporean noodles a delicious coconut curry like soup with prawns, it was out of this world. The service is great and the wait staff has a wonderful sense of humour. Will go back.

We stopped in for lunch while driving the old Island Hwy as one of our group was craving chicken. This place had multiple options. The food was plentiful and delicious. Oh my the fries! The milk tea, bagels, and Korean food here are actually quite good. Flavors are consistent, the place is clean, and it’s clear the owner cares about food quality. If you're here just for the food, this place delivers. That said, I believe how people treat others matters just as much as what they serve. Everything happens for a reason. Instead of always asking why they did this to you, take a moment to reflect on what you may have done first. Delicious. I was seriously impressed with this place. The breakfast sandwiches can be a bit drippy if you don’t get it on the brioche, but the bagels taste so delicious that it’s worth the trade off. I’ve also tried the BBQ pork belly and omg - SO good! Coffee and cheesecake also are the best I’ve tried in CR by far.

Showed up not expecting too much, just passing through town in the morning and grabbed a bite next door to the mechanic shop. THATS WHEN IT HAPPENED FLAVOUR ORGASMS The food was way better then I could've imagined. Fresh bagels. Insanely well done brekky sandwiches with them. I had the Korean on a sesame bagel and nearly climaxes twice while enjoying it. If you haven't been this will be your new go to spot. Treat yourself. Also the coffee is bitchin! Even the drip!

The owner is very kind, very helpful! He personally helped me with something when I walked in. Also, the food + bubble tea has always been a 10/10 for me! You get so much and good quality. Come here for a round of chess with coffee, or stuff your face with a crazy good bagel. Either way, easy to spend some time here and I have been a big fan since I moved here.

Wow! I had the everything bagel with cream cheese and lox and it was amazing. I also bought a passion fruit cheesecake for my mom and snuck a bit and it was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve had. It was so good. I also tried an Oolong bubble tea latte and it was also really good. The man serving us might have been the owner? Not sure but he was very friendly and I was really impressed. As a local, it’s genuinely hard to find great spots to enjoy a night out—especially something that feels a little special. So when I heard about the resort restaurant, I was excited. I decided to make a date night of it with my wife, hoping for an experience worth remembering. We had a 5:45 reservation—perfect timing. The atmosphere was calm, intimate, and surprisingly upscale for our small town. From the moment we walked in, the staff were outstanding—warm, attentive, and professional. Honestly, I wish the rest of the evening had lived up to the welcome. We started with a pork belly tasting bite and a beautiful Italian wine. It was delicious—rich, flavorful, and full of promise. We thought we were in for a real treat. Next came the locally sourced sourdough bread, which should’ve continued that momentum. The bread was great… but the butter was frozen solid. It didn’t melt, didn’t spread, and didn’t belong on a table that felt so refined otherwise. It was a small detail, but one that set the tone for what was to come. For our mains, we both chose the bacon-wrapped tenderloin cooked medium. I paired mine with charred asparagus, tallow-whipped mashed potatoes, and herb-glazed prawns. My wife had the same steak and prawns, with braised carrots instead. It all sounded incredible—and that’s where the magic stopped. The tenderloins came out medium-rare, leaning rare—not what we asked for, but still tender enough to enjoy. The prawns, though? Flat. Lifeless. Completely lacking seasoning or any buttery richness. A serious letdown, especially when I’d been looking forward to them. Shockingly, the standout items were the vegetables—my asparagus and my wife’s braised carrots were easily the stars of our plates. That alone says a lot. And then… the mashed potatoes. Thick, cold, and unpleasant. They had the tallow flavor, sure—but the texture was reminiscent of powdered mash from a discount shelf. Not what you expect when you’re paying for fine dining. We passed on dessert—not because we were full, but because we didn’t want to risk ending the night on another low note. They did bring us some little chocolate-filled bites to finish, which was a sweet gesture—and honestly, that thoughtful touch was appreciated. But no amount of chocolate can cover up a meal that misses more than it hits. For the price point, and the hopes we had for our first experience, it was a letdown. We wanted to love it. We tried to enjoy it. But we walked away feeling disappointed, not delighted. I hope this was just an off night. But for now, our search for a truly special local dining spot continues.

I couldn't believe this gem of a restaurant is sitting in little old Cambell River! My boyfriend and I dined there twice during our stay at Naturally Pacific, and we were truly blown away by the simple yet delicious local food, fantastic cocktails, welcoming service and modern atmosphere. Some favourites were the fresh oysters from Fanny Bay and the halibut (I'm not joking when I say that was hands down the best piece of fish I've ever had). Also appreciate the chef's complementary amuse-bouche. Can't wait to come by again!

Got to check out Carve. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. From the hostess, to the server, to the manager checking in to see how we are doing. All dishes on point. Props to the cooking staff. The server was attentive to the perfect level. Restaurant is well designed and gorgeous. One more day to experience here before heading back. UPDATE: Came for our last night at this fabulous resort for dinner. One teen ordered the fixed lamb shank three course. Picky eater and again on point. The other ordered the 10 oz strip loin and mushrooms. He regretted not ordering the 14 oz version as in his own words better than Black and Blie version in Vancouver. I tried a bite and agree. Service was fabulous from Kirpal. Very attentive and professional. So far all good experiences at this fine establishment from start to finish. Till the next visit to this resort and restaurant.

The food was absolutely delicious! We were blown away by the grilled octopus in particular, it was so tender, it had the texture of pork belly! Their mocktails are also highly recommended, complex and subtle flavors that work really well together.

Carve at the Naturally Pacific turned out to be a real surprise. Set in a contemporary-chic, elevated space within a hotel a bit out of the way in Campbell River, it exceeded our expectations with creative and beautifully executed dishes. The fish with white beans, guanciale gremolata, and romesco sauce was superb, and the rabbit with Spätzle and blueberry sauce was just sublime. The tartare was excellent as well, though pairing it with cold potato skins felt like a misstep – not really fitting for the dish. Aside from that small detail, everything else was exceptional. Service was fantastic, and our private booth made the evening feel even more special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for elevated dining and a touch of creativity in Campbell River.

Charged exorbitant price on soup ($12), noodles ($16), single medium sized rice wrap ($7) and samosa's ($7.50/5 med.)' large bottle of hot sauce ($10) and couple of packs Mr noodle's. Portions were not that big for the fresh items either, but price was a bit much at $60. I think it will unfortunately be the last time I buy a meal for the family there as it is too much.

Very average, also, felt kinda scammed with my burger. It was the price of a regular burger $17ish dollars, but it was the size of a slider. The portion of fries in a combo was laughable, in a dinky dollarama basket. My root beer went flat immediately.

Ordered for a veg burger and received Chicken. Checked about this to Ashley, who I think could be the supervisor who was very rude and had no proper customer service. Did not apologize for it. Having a Supervisor like her is a negative example to other young staff. I understand the restaurant when it’s busy but being polite to customers would not cost anything. The other staff members were good.

Usualy a favorite to goto but this time most of the tables were dirty, our fries were old and soggy and our burgers were cold. Disappointing coming from a restaurant known for its fresh delicious food that beats out all other chains.

ASHLEY, she rudely snatched the food from my hand without any apology and asked the next person to give the fresh fries. The staff was good but Miss. I went to A&W down town Campbell River and there was a mistake I called and talked to the manager. She was very friendly and gave me two free meals and a two apple pies. ❤️ the staff there is very friendly. And just a reminder everyone is understaffed so be patient.

The croissants may be considered costly for the majority of customers; however, you can taste their dedication and enthusiasm. The coffee is rich and well balanced, aromatic and smooth. The chai, is flavourful; I have had a really bad chai at same other cafes but Freyja really provides excellent quality. We’d definitely come back for more!

Love this place! We visited today and were so impressed. They had a plant-based lemon cookie and an iced oat latte for me – both were absolutely delicious – and my husband enjoyed some fancy croissants. OMG! These are simply the best croissants I have ever had. I know what a croissant is supposed to taste like...I am passionate about them and always seek out bakeries that feature them. So it was today. We were traveling around the area and I searched for "bakery near me" and this place grabbed my attention when the name said "The croissant story". I was not dissappointed. Honestly, I was hoping for a savory croissant as it was breakfast time. They didn't have one that I wanted, but had the most amazing chocolate croissant...my wife selected an almond one. They looked so good...I ordered 2. Crispy, delicate, buttery...and the laminatons! Oh la la. They also impressed with the chocolate inside...just the right semi-sweet and so so smooth. LOVED it. If you want a croissant...stop reading this and set your Nav for Freyja.

Incredible croissants! The attention to detail, the flakiness, the fluffiness, the fillings… I got a Jalapeño cheddar croissant and a Dubai chocolate croissant. They’re on the more expensive side, but you understand why when you examine them and bite into them.

I don't leave many reviews, but I had to leave one... this wild story happened yesterday. I never got to try the food as the worker (owner, maybe?) threw it in the garbage in front of me. Here is what happened... I was in the shopping centre, and I saw this place and thought I would take a look. I went in, looked around, and ordered sushi. The older gentleman behind the counter seemed a bit annoyed that I had ordered, so much so that I made a joke about not ordering sushi. He seemed to have trouble ringing it up with the debit machine but eventually passed it over to me and immediately started making the sushi. I walked over to the debit machine, which did not show a transaction. It happens; sometimes, the workers forget to hit a button. Since he was already making the sushi and seemed kind of grumpy, I just thought, "Just pay for the sushi when he is done making it." No big deal, or so I thought. I looked around the store as the sushi was being made. They do have some interesting Japanese products. When the sushi was done, he asked if I needed a receipt. I said I still hadn't paid and got ready to pay. The man said, "Never mind." When I said, "I want to pay," he said, "Never mind," again. "...But I want to eat the Sushi." He then proceeded to throw the sushi across the store into the garbage. I awkwardly left and was a bit shell-shocked at how fast that escalated. I'm still confused as to what the man was thinking. He already made the sushi. I could have paid in cash or debit. The waste of food. I will never know if the food is good. It's probably not good enough to be reminiscent of a certain Seinfeld episode. And now I'm telling everyone I know and leaving a Google Review.

I once experienced a very unpleasant incident with a rude shop owner who treated customers terribly. It happened during the day when some students, including me, went into the restaurant to order food. I think those students didn’t really know how to order properly, but instead of helping them, the owner chased them away. He seemed irritated all the time while working. Another time, I went there with my friend. I ordered food, but my friend didn’t. Then the owner told my friend, “If you’re not ordering anything, wait outside.” I didn’t understand why. I never thought I would experience something like this in real life

Amazing gem! Great prices for delicious fresh food and amazing assortment of other magical items for sale. I got three rolls of sushi made fresh for $10. And it was delicious. Definitely going back to try more.

"Oh my apologies, do you know where a bike storage is?" "Take your bike outside." "Of course, I'll do that. Can you please point me to a place I can lock up?" "TAKE YOUR BIKE OUTSIDE!" And as I'm trying to get the bike outside, he's saying the same thing over and over, and asking what I'm doing? Like what the hell man, I wanted to try this place out for lunch and that's how I get treated? Rudest I've been treated in town in probably a year. Don't count on me coming back and steering people your way.

Our family loves booster juice, and this one does not break the mould. If you need a healthy, low calorie snack, especially on a hot summer's day, booster juice is the place to go. I like the strawberry protein drink. It's a lot of protein with fairly few calories ant tasty fruit too.

this was my grandpa’s favourite restaurant. the food is always delicious, and the staff truly go above and beyond for their customers. the owners used to bring him waffles in the hospital. he passed October 1 2025 and they opened early for us that day so we could enjoy a breakfast in his honour. they gave him one last waffle breakfast and coffee on them. this was probably so minor for them, but truly touched his families hearts. thank you for everything you’ve done for our family. 💗

The choice is yours, and abundant. I had the strawberries and cream on a Brussels waffle, piled high with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, powdered sugar and vanilla ice cream! The lady had their mango burst, appropriately named as it too was piled high with mango pieces, powdered sugar, whipped cream and mango ice cream! 10/10 would scour the corners and holes in walls for a delectable, sweet, golden early morning treat! Stay hungry my friends.

We had a fantastic meal at Whistlin' Waffle today. Our server was nice and funny. The atmosphere was cool with a hint of funky. Between our group we had the West Coast Benny (smoked salmon), Twisted Chicken Benny (fried chicken), and 2x4 (farmers breakfast). Everything came with waffles (no English muffins, no toast), even the Benny's were on waffles. We will definitely be back again!

Lovely spot for a weekend away. There's more space than expected in the cabins. We booked #9 and #10. Could have easily fit more than 4 people in both cabins. TV's had good channels, the beach access was so nice and with better weather you can dive in off the pontoon. We got to see lots of seals down by the water too.

We just had the loveliest dinner at the restaurant & I would say it is one of the best steaks I have had in a very long time. All our food was delicious & our waitress was lovely. The beautiful deck outside with the picture perfect view of the inlet was breathtaking. If you are in Campbell River, you should make an effort to have dinner here, it was quite simply a wonderful dining experience.

We had our first visit to the dolphin resort with our family this weekend and it did not disappoint. The staff were incredible, our meals at the restaurant were absolutely delicious and the cabins were lovely. Oceans views at almost every turn, and whoever manages the flowers/grounds here is extremely talented - beautiful, lush and green. We will definitely be back.

The resort is very stringent on their policy and the front desk doesn’t have good service. I booked and cancelled the reso within 24 hours because of family emergency. They initially said deposit fee is forfeited but then called me to ask if I’d like to change the dates. I wasn’t sure of the dates yet so I said no thanks. The next day I confirmed the dates, called them back and they said they’ll get back to me. They didn’t get back to me, I emailed the front desk to inquire but they just said they didn’t know about this and brushed me away. I had to email them again to follow-up but they just said no it’s not possible after all this. I felt they just dismissed me among all of this.

Wow. What an incredible spot! Between the staff and the grounds it would be hard to beat anywhere. Fishing with joe was the highlight for sure! The beds are comfortable and the hottubs are nice and private.

This is an amazing place for dinner. Here is a place to dine where they wait on you with class. Removing glasses you don't need, communicate the chef's special dishes without being overbearing. Being aware of your dining experience but not over present. I felt like it was my time to enjoy dinner with my parents and the waitress was conscious of this. Yet at the same time she was very attentive to our dining experience. My father's steak was a grass fed steak (and he should have known this) but they replaced it with a grain fed steak to satisfy his dining experience. The menu listing is not extensive because their is deliberate intention for you to enjoy cuisine dining. Seems the intention is to provide the best locally sourced food from responsible farmers and cook it with high standards for flavor and taste. Even their red house wine has a smooth deep flavor of quality. The Ox is perhaps the best place to take your girl out for a romantic dinner where you would want to propose to. That's how I would rate this place.

OX is a rare gem in an otherwise terrible culinary landscape in Campbell River. The food and level of service are excellent and miles higher than anywhere else around and very reasonably priced. Excellent menu and food preparation by a clearly skilled chef, all of it sourced locally from local farmers. Amazing. Service is excellent and Wayne was awesome. Wine selection is well crafted and surprisingly sophisticated while the cocktails are beautiful. As I said, a rare gem in any city, let alone Campbell River!

What a Gem in CR. Its great to see a restaurant like this. Local food, well written menu, great layout. Service was awesome, specials sounded wonderful. Drinks where well made, and the owner came by and chatted for awhile. We had the scallops and Frites - amazing. Followed by duck and salmon with a creme brulee for dessert. Great portion sizes, we did not leave hungry! I plan on going back, It would be a great venue for a Christmas party !

O God it finally happened!!! Campbell River has a restaurant you actually want to eat at. After moving from Victoria back to Campbell I was crying a little. This place is fantastic. Fries amazing. Black cod with pickled strawberries super amazing. Steak was grass fed and the bee nees. These guys should get a key to the city. Local produce local meats and cheeses. Like I am just so grateful for OX. Go now! Even by yourself they have a great bar.

Well, first of all I love the vibes and the ambiance. I went on Tuesday with my best friend and had the BEST dinner+dessert! We had the mixed greens with poached pears and the russet fries tossed in nutritional yeast with malted aioli to start. It was light and tasty! I had the ling cod with a pumpkin seed risotto, I didnt know pumpkin seed risotto existed until last Tuesday. It is amazing. You don't feel as guilty eating dessert after having this non starchy and far more delicious substitute. My friend had the rib eye, he said it was cooked to perfection. We had the chocolate mousse for dessert, it was topped with an in house made caramel drizzle and candied walnuts I think. It was like a love triangle of creamy, rich awesomeness that I am still thinking about days later. I don't write reviews but I thought this experience definitely needed to be shared with folks that love good food and good times!

The food at OX was delicious. It will be a place I would go again when I am in town. The reason I rated a 4 star is because the desserts need some improvements and, they need to be a little bit more attentive (the waitress was kind and helpful but they were the only person working). I ordered the chocolate s'more , it tasted good, however, it was not presented in a appetizing way. My father ordered the creme brulee and it tasted good but it was not quite set. Over all, It was an enjoyable evening.

Our dinner at Ox was nothing short of outstanding. The menu, service, and food quality exceeded our expectations. Ox has a real farm to table concept. Local ingredients and local flare adds to the culinary experience. We can't wait to get back to Ox!

We arrived at Moxie’s in Campbell River quite late — around 9:30 PM, just 30 minutes before closing time — and were still greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff was incredibly friendly and reassured us that it was absolutely no problem to have dinner, even at that late hour. Unlike in many other places where you might feel rushed near closing, we were given all the time we needed to choose our meals, and at no point did we feel like we were keeping the team from ending their shift. On the contrary, the service was relaxed, attentive, and welcoming throughout. We ordered the salmon fillet, and it was absolutely outstanding — served with rice, asparagus, and an incredibly delicious beetroot side. The portion size was generous, and every component of the dish was cooked to perfection. Definitely a 10/10 meal. If we ever travel from Germany to Campbell River again, Moxie’s will be at the top of our list of places to revisit. Highly recommended!

Today we had A Great Server, Megan, and Awesome Food, we walked in to Smiles and Our Experience was a Positive one!

We were so impressed! We honestly didnt expect much and were happily surprised (but I also think we ordered the right things off the menu!). We got the poke bowl and it’s huge and comes with cauliflower rice that tastes very much like the real deal so it’s a very healthy meal disguised as a yummy bowl. Then, based on the many reviews, I ordered the basil lemon salmon (page 4 under “mains”, $33.50 as of July 2025), and it did not disappoint! Incredibly flavorful dish. Our picky-eater 3-year old loved the buttered herbed salmon in my dish. We ordered the salmon also for our toddler, and it was a sizable portion fish for being a $14 kids menu item. We asked to swap the jasmine rice for french fries and they did no problem. It was maybe the fanciest kids meal we’ve seen in a while! Only wish it came with a dip-side of that butter sauce since the kid loved it so much :) I ordered a glass of the French rose: Gris blanc rose Gerard Bertrand, and it was delicious. Not too sweet or overly bitter and dry, oily aftertaste, balanced. And only like $13 for a 6 oz glass (you get worse in other places for $17/glass). We saw the next table over order the kids menu pizza for their kids and it did not look as good, it looked like a simple piece of bread with some tomato sauce on it, not very pizza -like at all. Don’t order that I guess. Very good service as well. Super attentive and friendly. Would be happy to be back here.

We had a fantastic dinner at Moxie's tonight while staying in Campbell River. The food tasted great and the portions were plentiful. My wife is a vegetarian and she wasn't disappointed with the selection. Thanks for the great service and tasty food 👍

We always go to Moxies when we are in Campbell River because they have the BEST key lime pie. Great service, the food is quite good, but the alfredo was a bit bland. We added salt but I think this is just a safe dish. We also had the cashew chicken lettuce wraps which is a favorite of ours. I ordered a mock tail that was a bit too bitter and the server was happy to bring me some simple syrup to sweeten it up. It was busy when we went but we picked a quiet table in the lounge area and it was good.

I want to start off and say, the service and atmosphere is off the hook! 10/10 but the food was terrible on this occasion. It’s obvious you guys store your seafood in the same freezer as your other meats / deserts. The pork and ginger beef tasted slightly fishy so I thought “okay same fryer as calamari, fair enough” but when I got to desert the carrot cake too, had a fishy freezer taste. It’s imperative you invest in a separate freezer for seafood because I could tell… we plan to visit for a friends bday next month and hopefully you guys see this & I can edit this review and give 5 stars. Cheers.

It used to be a lot better Buffet less choices, no spicy squid, cook couldn’t keep up with veggies. Garbage outside entrance not picked up. Wait staff were amazing and hustling. Don’t think I’ll be back unfortunately We have been coming here for at least 10 years

Just had the lunch buffet. Service was great. The waitress was fun, a super busy lady running around serving the entire restaurant. The cashier lady was never at the till, and twice I saw people wait far too long for her to return. The food was OK. What was left of the buffet was crispy leftovers that should have been thrown out. A customer had to harrange the waitress to have them bring out actual food, which is sad. MAYBE half of the dishes were actually out for customers to eat, and of those, half of those dishes were seriously old and inedible. I had this place recommended by a local, but would not recommend it to anyone. There is a chance that their menu items fare better. Perhaps they just try to rip people off for their lunch buffet. Unfortunately I'll never find out. The plate I'm posting is their edible food.

My Friend Paul and I went to Driftwood Restaurant on August 20,2025 for the Dinner Buffett.The food,service and over all experience was 10 out 10😎🇨🇦!!!The love and passion put into the food was Incredible!! The ginger beef,lemon honey pork blew my taste buds away!!! Amazing wonton soup made with ground fresh pork!!! Definitely will be going back at least once a month!! Living in Port Hardy the only downside is being 3 hours away from a restaurant who cares about there guests like it's family!!! The restaurant is across the street from the water so u get dinner with a view!!!! Thanks again for first time dinner at your beautiful restaurant I will never forget being treated like family as soon as we went thru the front door!! Cheers😎

Went for the dinner buffet. Showed up just a few minutes before 5:00. Food was not very hot and there was a limited selection (although I've heard there's dim sum at lunch). Seemed like the meats e.g. sweet & sour pork, ginger beef, lemon chicken etc. had already been sitting in the sauce for hours - drenched and totally soggy. My advice would be to serve sauce separately to stop the breaded meat from losing its crisp. It was a sopping mess. Also, cut the amount of sugar in half. Ginger beef should taste of ginger, not just overwhelming sugar syrup. Made-to-order off the menu is much nicer. Wonton soup was good.

Always great tasting and hot food. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They really go out of their way to make sure your needs are taken care of and leave happy…

Had a nice meal of traditional Lamb Biriyani and flavoured lassi. Portions were good. Served quickly. Tasted well in medium spice level. As a Sri Lankan, I would choose bit more spicier next time

The food was so good I could have cried. It has been years - YEARS - since I have had a hot meal with only my husband and not with our kids and this was where we went. The service was friendly and fast. The food came hot and perfectly cooked. An appetizer, two mains, two garlic naam and rice with tip came to under $90. I can't remember the last time I had a meal where I was still thinking about how good it was hours later, but here we are.

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and the food was incredibly authentic and delicious. The prices were reasonable for the quality and taste of the dishes. Moreover, the ambiance was perfect, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. An added bonus was the easy parking, making the overall experience even more convenient. I'll definitely be visiting this place more often!

Amazing Indian food! We were looking for something outside the ordinary during our travels and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food we found here. The veggie samosas and the cauliflower pakora were both delicious. The chicken masala had the best sauce and the chicken was tender and generously portioned. And the garlic naan was huge and really deliciously fresh made. They have wine and beer and a warm and inviting dining room. Stop in for a great meal and service or order some to go! You will be happy you did!

Took daughter for birthday dinner. So delicious, perfect level of spice for all three of us. Double spice, medium and mild medium were so flavourful. The lamb was amazing! Excellent service, fast and helpful. Her favorite place, my first time. Will definitely be a regular now.

Absolutely loved the food here! The prawns were fresh and full of flavor, with just the right amount of spice. The biryani was a standout—fragrant, fluffy, and packed with perfectly seasoned rice and tender meat. Great service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!

The service and atmosphere was decent. The food was absolutely trash, chutneys looked radioactive and tasted really bad too. I could not fathom how it was busy but considering there is no indian food in cr it kinda made sense. No offence to the owner or kitchen staff but you really need to make better quality and tasting food or any new Indian restaurant in town will steamroll you.

Sushi Mong is the go-to place for sushi in Campbell River and it's a great experience. The food was fresh, the price affordable and they had a wide variety. The daily special was excellent and a great value. The place is clean, spacious and had no issues accomodating a larger group (about 10 people). Located downtown, it's a short walk to the pier and other attractions. Can't wait to visit again!

Wow! Pretty good! I got their Alaska Roll Combo and everything was great- scallops, too. Highly recommend opting for real crab ($6 extra) instead of imitation. Service was great. I’ll be back when I come back through Campbell River

I get the miso soup made for vegetarian. And avocado roll. The other vegetarian rolls were greasy. Tempura... Yuck. Deep fried crap food. I wouldn't mind more vegetarian options. Atmosphere super chill. Waitstaff; adorable and spritely. Definately deserving a check if you're craving Japanese food.

Great sushi! The Mexican roll was odd, but in a good way. Everything tasted fresh. The Bingsoo was really good!

This is by far the best Japanese restaurant in all of Canada, and is one of my favourite restaurants in Campbell River. They have great service, and awesome food. They have their own unique style, and a very calming atmosphere. I would recommend Sushi Mong to anyone.

Pretty little restaurant with white paper lanterns and pink plum blossoms everywhere. Lots of booth seating and low lighting. Date night vibes but also large booth available for groups of 6 to 10. Service is young and inexperienced but friendly and polite. Great appys and tasty rolls. The sashimi was not quite right though. 2 concerns. #1 a handfull of pieces were cut along the grain, making some fish pieces tough. #2 The shrimp was not as fresh as it could have been. Slightly slimy and mushy. I do not recommend this premium sashimi plate for $60+. Stick with the other items. Note: miso soup is on the salty and fishy side. Little to no seaweed or tofu in the 4 bowls we received. For those that don't know me, I know miso. I eat and cook with alot of soy and miso. 20% of restaurants make miso soup too bland. 10% make it too salty. Getting the bill also took a long time. Our family all left for the car and still no one brought the bill 2x after we asked. We had to walk to the counter for a staffer to print the bill. The Korean beef, Grenade (deep fried avocado) and the salad were major hits.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we found out there was no crab. I’d recommend calling ahead to check, but the other dishes were also delicious and won’t disappoint. The food came out a bit slowly, but the waitress was cheerful, friendly, and hardworking. I was told they would have crab today, so I plan to come back at noon to try it. A small restaurant well worth recommending.

Crabby Bob’s is a super cute little shack right on the docks in the Campbell River Marina. You can see the live crabs in the water basins, and what they serve up is perfectly done, fresh, and delicious. The staff are incredibly friendly and the place has that cozy, mom-and-pop feel that makes it special. We just popped in for a quick lunch snack and it was worth every penny. A true local gem in a funky setting.

Super delicious and very nice service. They sell fresh seafood for cooking at home and also a cook in store option. Their in house kitchen is open 11am to 5pm but 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. I arrived about 5:08 and they very nicely made me a steamer box because they hadn't started cleaning yet. Food was delicious!!! For $28 I got 8 large prawns and 16 scallops, as well as a small portion of rice and bread. I also got a sampler pack of their are four kinds of candied salmon: maple, tequila lime, teriyaki (?) and original.

So damn good! We came across this little storefront while visiting Campbell River from Calgary, AB. The smoked Salmon was the best I have had on the island. Very moist and flavourful. Their Mussels were seasoned well, nice size and flavourful, no dryness to them or overcooked. The oysters were tasty, we would have liked to know where they were from in particular, but none the less still tasty. I would recommend to check for shell before serving but again a small tiny concern. I would 100% come back! The staff are so so friendly and accommodating.

Lots of happy reviews so I checked it out myself. The good: the staff person was friendly and helpful. The store had the cutest little bottles of tobasco I've ever seen. The take-out package had everything you would need to enjoy the meal on the run ie: cutlery, napkins etc. The bad: this place is strictly take-out and I don't recall anything on the website indicating this. I was told in good weather there are tables outside. The worst part was the food. The meal came with 5 mussels; I've had raw oysters before and would never do again, and when I got to eating this meal I would say the mussels were warm, not cooked. I nearly gagged at how slimy they were. Had to throw the last 3 out to the seagulls. The rest was ok and the butter sauce was oily but tasty. The rice was ok. Topping on it was almost too spicy though. The place was as simple and run down as maybe any dockside seafood store would be. I hope their cafe to be opened soon is more welcoming. Also there was no signage in the parking lot directing customers to the door. I'm from out of province but even if I was a local I would not return for their take-out.

We’re in Campbell River again this summer and so glad to come back to Crabby Bob’s!! We visited 3 times on this trip and just couldn’t resist the temptation of fresh seafood and friendly service. Maisy’s service is great - she’s friendly, helpful and energetic. Just can’t get enough of this place! ***************************************** We had the steamed crab and steamed shellfish box and they were both fresh and delicious that I had to order a second shellfish box to bring home. If you’re in the area and want seafood, but don’t want to prep at home, I highly recommend coming here. They also have live and frozen seafood for taking home.

WOW. This is a must visit place when in Campbell River. You will not be disappointed. Freshest seafood I’ve had ever in years. Get there at least an hour and half before they close. Kitchen closes 1 hour before they are actually closed.

Food is great and very friendly service. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants around!

Wasabyia exceeded our expectations! We ordered several appetizers and sushi rolls. The presentation was beautiful and the service was excellent. I haven’t had sushi this fresh in a long time! We don’t live in Campbell river, but they are certainly worth the drive from the Comox Valley. 10/10!

Stellar quality sushi at a decent price in a stealth location. The smoked tuna tataki was amazing and my main reason for coming. Very fresh local seafood. The salmon was like butter. Wonderful service too.

This is by far the best sushi in Campbell River! Food is fresh and prepared with great care by a seasoned Japanese chef. I hear he has 30 years experience. One thing though, is make sure you get a reservation as they are a small business with only a few staff, and do tend to get a lot of takeout orders. We popped in around 5:30 PM on a Friday evening and they courteously let us in, but we realized it would’ve worked better for them if we had given them some advance notice. Enjoy!

We came for dinner here with my wife and I and our two young boys. We all love Japanese food. Everything was great, service was quick and very friendly. Highly recommend the specialty rolls and the tempura.

A lovely place to have dinner and enjoy the waterfront views. We had the Calamari to start and then the New York steak with Peppercorn and Brandy Sauce as well as the Thai Rice Bowl. Great service as well.

I had the grilled salmon at Anchor, and while it was a bit expensive, the portion size was perfect for one person. The staff were kind, the food was delicious, and the scenery was beautiful. Overall, a good experience!

I took my Mom on her first getaway in Campbell River & our package included a dining gift certificate to Anchor Waterfront Restaurant. We reserved for early dinner & had a great table with amazing views. Tables are set very far apart & the restaurant had high ceilings & was well ventilated. We had great, friendly customer service. Our food & drinks arrived fairly promptly. They serve wild salmon & we enjoyed that entree with their scallops appetizer. I'd dine here again.

We are currently staying in the hotel so came here for dinner. The food was delicious! The server we had (Deanna) was exceptional! She was super friendly and was so helpful when we realised the restaurant wouldn't be open for breakfast (included in the room price) before we had to leave for a tour in the morning. She gathered together a breakfast pack of cereal, milk and juice. What a star!

Not recommended...the appetizer included a hair on me and a fly (!) on my friend in the food itself (See photo) in addition to the actual dish. We told the waitress about it. When the bill came, however, the salad was still on it with the full price. Only when we had mentioned the fly again the salad was deleted from the bill...Service looks different!!! The main course was ok but also not worth mentioning...2 stars there for the view. Go rather eat somewhere else.

Absolutely dismal service. Sat for 30 minutes before getting drinks. Appetizers were forgotten then took over 1.5hrs to arrive. Margarita was all water with a splash of lime juice, I don’t think it had and tequila or triple sec in it. I never complain about service but this was on another level of bad. The food was not good, fish and chips was gummy and off tasting. I should have refused paying but we had cranky kids with us and just wanted to leave. Really poor experience. The patio has such potential.

This is essentially a buffet self serve breakfast place for hotel guests. OK for free (included in room price). You can order from a menu if they happen to have one. Servers are expert at cleaning up from the buffet patrons. Talking orders and delivering food is not normal activity. Was met with a shrug whin I pointed out I didn't get what I ordered, but we'd waited long enough so ate it, paid the bill eventually, and left. Long walk down several floors to find the place from street entrance. Parking also one floor down near the sea.

Called to speak to someone about the dry and cold ginger beef and was called a liar. All I’m saying is why am I paying good money for food that we couldn’t bite into?!? Hope you do better for someone else. You won’t see me again!
