The award-winning Old Post Office Restaurant offers delicious down home cooking in a unique historic building. This restaurant is known for its delicious breakfast menu as well as its outdoor kettle fish boils.
We have been to Door County twice now. The fish boil at the Old Post Office was on our 'must repeat' list. We (2 adults and a teen) enjoyed the pre-meal excitement of watching the food being cooked outside in the kettle over the fire. The fireball is always exciting! The food includes 2 significant fish steaks, potatoes, onions, cole slaw, and 3 kinds of fresh bread... with lots of melted butter. There is homemade cherry pie for dessert. (A la mode costs extra). Our server was pleasant. We appreciated that she de-boned the fish for us. All in all, a fantastic and very filling dining experience.

The Old Post Office fish boil is a must-do for us every time we’re in Door County. Watching the boil-over is always such a fun tradition, and the staff make the experience special by explaining the process. The whitefish is fresh and delicious, with hearty sides of potatoes, onions, and bread. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere make it a classic we always look forward to.

Delicious breakfast spot with a dog friendly patio. The views are so nice from the outdoor seating area. The pancakes were incredibly fluffy and delicious. The classic eggs, sausage and sourdough toast were all very fresh and tasty as well. Highly recommend to start your day here.

A must-do dining experience! My visit to The Old Post Office Restaurant - Fish boil was absolutely fantastic. The entire experience felt so unique—it was much more than just a meal. Watching the fish boil while hearing the history behind it was both entertaining and informative. And the food itself was incredible. The fish was as fresh and delicious as it gets, don't forget to add the table spice and butter. I'm still dreaming about the cherry pie. It was the perfect ending to a memorable meal. I can't wait to go back and do it all over again. If you're looking for a great meal and a fun experience, this is the place!

We visited The Old Post Office Restaurant with a bus tour of 45 people and the staff ran this place like a well oiled machine!! We loved the experience of an authentic fish boil. The boil master was entertaining and the food was delicious!
Wendy B — Google review
One of my favorite restaurants in the whole peninsula. They provide a great history lesson when cooking about 30 minutes before dinner. They have great seating inside and outside. The workers are all very friendly and provide attentive service. We went there for breakfast and dinner in one day because we enjoyed it so much!
Maddi ( — Google review
We had a wonderful experience at the traditional fish boil! It was both fun and informative to watch the boil take place before being seated at our assigned table. The servers were efficient and even de-boned the fish right in front of us, which was a nice touch. I also appreciated that there were a couple of alternative options available for those who don’t eat fish. The meal itself was delicious—especially with the vessel of melted butter to pour over the fish, potatoes, and onion. The cherry pie at the end was the perfect sweet finish. The setting made the evening even more special, as we enjoyed a beautiful sunset view over the lake from our table. Another highlight was that our dog was welcome, which made the outing even better. Overall, a great experience combining tradition, great food, and a scenic atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The fish boil is amazing! Fresh white fish caught locally. Prepared in a fun informative demonstration. Wait staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The meal is delicious! And it's a great value.

Coffee store
Nestled in the quaint town of Ephraim, Ephraim Coffee Lab by Isley Coffee Roasters is a must-visit destination for coffee enthusiasts. Randy Isely, with his expertise gained from New York, roasts top-quality coffee on-site. The cozy space features a traditional espresso bar and serves an array of brunch options. Visitors can savor handcrafted Italian espresso drinks made using a manual lever machine.
Solid coffee spot conveniently located near other shops and the coastline. The flat white was very delicious as well as their iced lattes.

Wow-wow-wow. The chai scone and blueberry scone are both “must-haves” (unique, flaky with crisp edges) AND do not miss the “cucumber schmear” on focaccia bread. It’s more delicious than we could describe. A few tables in front, a charming courtyard in back with tables and indoor seating at the adjoining bar. Charming staff. Talented barista. Coffee roasting on site.
Lynda R — Google review
The coffee here is exceptional. We ordered two cappuccinos and a blueberry scone, and were thoroughly impressed. The coffee was freshly brewed with meticulous care—the barista precisely measured and leveled the grounds before tamping, demonstrating a level of craftsmanship that’s all too rare. As for the scone—simply divine. One could easily build an entire business around it. Perfectly balanced in sweetness, it boasted a delightfully crisp exterior with a tender, fluffy interior. The blueberry jam crowning it was evidently homemade, reminiscent of something a skilled grandmother might prepare with love and patience. A true hidden gem—charming, understated, and of exceptional quality

Super nice guy, great vibe, awesome coffee and beans. Thanks for the conversation and the nod to aviation. Will definitely be coming back and buying more beans!

The owner was so friendly and we loved how appreciative he was of our patronage. He and his employees are awesome! Be prepared to wait a bit for your coffee, but it’s worth every minute of it to have such a perfectly crafted coffee with house-made flavor syrups. If you’re in Door County you have to stop here!

Super chill place to grab a quality coffee drink. My husband got a vanilla latte and I had a chai tea latte. Both were delicious. They also have a pizza shop in the evenings. I'd be curious to check that out.

Wilson's Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor is a vintage soda fountain and eatery that has been a beloved spot in Ephraim since 1906. It offers a nostalgic experience with its old-fashioned soda fountain, jukebox music, and classic sundaes. The menu features flame-broiled burgers, an array of ice cream flavors, and even options for kids.
The entire experience was delightful! Service was good, they have a decently sized menu, and their ice cream is the star of the show. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area! Be aware that the ice cream portion sizes are huge, so save room! We each got our own scoops but easily could’ve shared.
Ava K — Google review
8/21/25 - The ice cream treats are fantastic!! The food itself is average, but service is friendly and attentive. Definitely an ice cream shop first and foremost, lots of flavors and a variety of treats to choose from. We had root beer freeze's this time and they were absolutely delicious. We always stop here when we come to Door County and it's always busy, but worth it. Hard to find parking too, but worth it. Inside and outside seating. Close to the water and nice views.
Thor D — Google review
The cutest little diner! Had the most hot and delicious reuben. I’m not a big root beer fan, but Wilson’s root beer was the best I’ve ever had. It tasted like a root beer float! We got an applesauce for our baby and I think we ended up liking it more than her. Best applesauce I’ve ever had 😅
Natalie T — Google review
Honestly the highlight of our door county trip and an absolute must-go for anyone in the area. With an extensive, classic menu, it would be hard to go wrong with choosing Wilson’s for a meal. Everything we had was fantastic (both the food and ice cream drinks), the service was great, and the food came out fast. I especially appreciated the multi-functionality of the menus, and the history of the restaurant on the reverse side. Clearly a staple for a century and a quarter.
Raegan G — Google review
The food is ok here. We got lucky and beat the rush and wait for a table. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress was very nice. Food prices are decent. A lot of people come here for the ice cream. Very nice atmosphere, even a jukebox. I would come back here again. The hours seem fluctuating, and ice cream is open longer than the kitchen for about a hour I believe. The ice cream is expensive, but when we tried to go back to get some in the middle of the day it was closed

Coney dog with cheese and French fries is bland and a waste of money. Fries come with the coney but they are coated with coney sauce that only taste like a cooked bland bean; so the fries were inedible for me and cold too. The root beer is average for homemade. I’m a sprecher lover. Also patio full of bees; which is ironic since they added screens to help decrease the bees per the history menu. Weirdly , no dogs allowed on the outdoor patio! Also NOT BABY STROLLER FRIENDLY inside or outside. Unfortunately as first times we were shouted at soon as we entered the door of the diner with our sleeping infant in the Donna Stroller ( it’s a car seat with wheels attached and can be converted to stroller). No sign on the door about it and no hostess outside to inform us either. They were very rude about it even when he collapsed it down into a car seat they said we couldn’t have it inside. So we attempted to go to the patio and they yelled at us to go back out the front because it was a service area to the side door; if it was a service area they didn’t mind people going in and out of it to get to other booths, outdoors, or to the restrooms. Then once on the patio the waitress started to inform us of the no strollers on the patio rule when the woman from inside come out yelling about how we needed to put our infant in a high chair. We should have just left but I love old dinners. My husband didn’t order food since he was upset that we had to take our sleeping baby out of the car seat and take it back to the car. When he returned she was of course still sleepy and upset and she wasn’t her typical easy going self. The root beer was good but the bees were an issue so I used napkins and a hair tie to try and help. Then the coney came and it was so deflating as it tasted like a plain baked bean. No flavor. So due to the hospitality and then over priced bland hot dog we skipped the ice cream that was $$$ pricey. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with young children or dogs. Maybe they have something else good. Our waitress was kind and tried to apologize and thanked us for understanding and cooperating with the stroller/car seat rule. You could tell she knew how rude the woman was from inside the store to us. It felt like she was chasing after us to be sure we weren’t served with a baby car seat. We also ate at 3pm on a weekday so it wasn’t crowded and the car seat fits under the table with its wheels like a chair. It’s. Ery compact which we love. We do recommend the Ice Cream Factory as a better alternative to a long time running diner with ice cream. Also they have plastic straws which was odd for being on the lake; so not environmentally conscious. Also the napkins are in a cute dispenser but you end up with so many trying to pull them out.
Katie N — Google review
Perfect 10. So cute, so fun, so busy. We'll worth the wait. I could hang out here for hours just photographing the malts and ice cream treats. So pretty. Im not 100% sold on the food but who cares because let's face it. Your there for dessert. Staff is also very professional and friendly.

First time to Wilson's and the turtle sundae was delicious! Love the number system. No room at the picnic tables outside, so we walked across the street. (We found a $1.00 off coupon on an advertisement in a travel brochure stand at The Orchards Golf Course.)

Wild Tomato Wood-Fired Pizza & Grille Fish Creek is a popular family-friendly restaurant known for its delicious wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, and burgers made from locally sourced ingredients. The pizzeria takes pride in using organic produce, locally raised meats, and cheeses from nearby farms to create their signature hand-tossed pizzas with a distinct smoky flavor from the wood-fired oven.
Great place to grab a salad and some pizza or other Italian foods. We ended up sharing a large pizza between the 3 of us with a family sized salad and everything was delicious with enough food for everyone in our party, every thing was very good and I think the only complaint was it would be nice to have a bit more cheese in the salad which is very trivial, I would definitely go back in the future!! Also keep in mind if you're heading here it gets very busy later in the day so getting there early or parking out back of the shop are your two best options as it really can fill up tight.
David V — Google review
We had a great time here! Delicious food—probably the best pizza in Door County. The fun guy (mushroom) pizza was excellent. The green & gold pizza was also yummy. The cheese curds weren’t as gooey as I prefer, but the batter was great, and they definitely squeaked! The ranch could be better, but it was still good. We were seated outside (soonest available), and the area could definitely used some fans to cool it down and keep bugs away. It was a hot day, and there was a 30-min wait, but it was overall worth the wait!
Inez Y — Google review
Great spot for wood-fired pizza! We sat outside on the dog-friendly patio and loved the atmosphere. The pizza sauce was so good we ended up buying some jars for home. We ordered the D-Lux pizza, which really hit the spot—the house-made sausage on it was especially delicious. Highly recommend if you’re craving great pizza and a relaxed setting.
Donita M — Google review
The pizza was perfect, per usual! I highly recommend the hot honey za, it was a fan favorite in our group! The family style caesar salad was enough to feed a party, and there were only six of us. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t great. The majority of employees seemed to be teenagers and there seemed to be a lack of management. Our waitress took a long time to greet us, didn’t check in while we were eating to see how the food was, etc. Yet the food outweighed the lack of service in the end. Hopefully it was just an off night for the staff. We would happily visit again!
Ava K — Google review
A perfect lunch in a friendly place. The wood fired Hot Honey pizza was incredible. BEST cheese curds ever. The lemonade was refreshing and the service we had was great! Our waiter was from Romania and he was fantastic. Thank you!
Merideth K — Google review
Started with the cheese curds which were probably some of THE BEST I’ve ever had! Had the hot honey pizza and was totally blown away! The goat cheese with the mozzarella was amazing! Really enjoyed it!
Rebecca G — Google review
It pains me to write this but I do this constructive criticism out of love and hope that the new owners will take the feedback to heart and improve the quality of the Door County institution they have taken over and degraded. I have been coming to WT for many many years, I know exactly how its supposed to taste and after a trip last fall and again over the weekend, its clear this is not the same quality of pizza anymore. I’ll share pics, the first is recent and the second two from 2-3 years ago and while they look similar you can tell the previous are far superior. I went to the Fish Creek location on Sunday and ordered a Margherita, it came out way too fast, like 10 minutes and was barely warm. It had to be just sitting under a heat lamp. The sauce was skimpy and flavorless, the dough was mixed poorly, had too much flour left and was just cardboardy, the cheese did not have any flavor and neither did the basil, there was no sea salt sprinkled on. Just heartbreaking. I used to buy an extra pizza on my way out of town to bring back home. On my next trip I cant see myself going there again. Please undo whatever changes you have made to increase the profit margin. I’m sure its fine for Illinois tourists, but for Wisconsin residents who have been coming for years, we have noticed and won’t be returning until you go back to high quality ingredients.
Paul H — Google review
If the cheese curds were a bit less salty, this would be the hands down my best one I’ve tried. So crunchy and bit. One of the pizzas come out not cut all the way. Cherry and walnut salad was so good. The garlic bread in my appetizer came out a bit burnt. Coke felt watery. Men’s bathroom is very small.

Nestled in a charming cottage with a picturesque outdoor patio overlooking the lake, Chef's Hat Cafe offers traditional American entrees and a relaxing dining experience. This quaint eatery, located near the waterfront and Peninsula State Park, serves up a variety of breakfast options including egg scrambles, wraps, waffles, French toast, avocado toast, and fresh fruit bowls. Known for its top-notch service and quality ingredients sourced locally, this cafe is open from 8 am to 9 pm every day.
Dropped in for lunch and had an amazing lunch. We searched for restaurants with plant based options and found this spot and they totally lived up to the description. I ordered the Veggie Wrap and my wife had then Asparagus Quesadilla. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and the food showed up pretty quickly. Mu Veggie Wrap came wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla and was full of fresh veggies mixed greens, artichokes, red onion, tomato, shiitake, crimini, & oyster, red bell peppers, broccoli with fresh guacamole & creamy dill dressing. The guacamole and dill dressing gave it a really nice flavor. My wife was happy with her Asparagus Quesadilla, it was full of flame roasted peppers, onions, tomatoes, asparagus, corn, black beans, wild rice, farmers cheese & spinach. It came with salsa & sour cream and she add guacamole. The server was very polite and service was quick. The restaurant sits on the shores of Ephraim harbor, perfect location for a meal or drinks.

Very friendly, sincere, and attentive waitress. The food was good, especially the pie. My wife thought the bread on her sandwich was a little dry (may have been the type of bread), but everything else was excellent.

Very relaxed, casual vibes. Food and service was impeccable. Chef's Hat offers many options - including many gluten free options! All staff and service members were welcoming, kind, and accommodating. We relaxed on their patio with a wonderful meal... the door county way!

Go Here! And bring your dog! Seating will bring outside if you want your dog to join you and the staff and patrons are so sweet to them! Mine was given his very own bowl of water and of course, I shared my brisket sandwich with him. There's a very nice menu, and it has a lot of variety. The staff is over the top amazing! They gave me some nice suggestions about where to go next and take in the sites. The food preparation was on point, and everything was scrumptious. I actually cleaned up my whole plate, which is a rare occurrence. Parking is a little tight, especially if you have a truck, but it's doable if you scan the block a few times and you'll find a place. Overall, a very, very, very good experience, and absolutely will return.

Nice alfredo dish with added chicken. The rosemary bread is out of this world. Presentation is immaculate. Its an art piece. Tomato basil soup among the best we’ve had. A bit overpriced but worth it. And there’s pie! Great view and friendly staff.

This place is so cute!! My husband and I first came here 12 years ago on our honeymoon, and loved it, and we have made a point to go back every time we go up to The Door. We were a little disappointed to find out they no longer serve breakfast other than Saturday and Sunday and that’s if you get there before 11AM. So when we got there close to noon and were told they weren’t serving breakfast I was disappointed, mainly because I love their scones, specifically their raspberry white chocolate scone, but after telling my server how much I loved their scones she went back and found one for me. That alone tells you about the service of this place, they go above and beyond for their guests. I ended up getting their Turkey BLT sandwich which was sooo good! Loved the honey mustard it was paired with, made every bite an enjoyment. My husband got a burger that he thought was just “okay”. The soup was also just okay, but that was a personal preference. The service alone makes up for any of the food and the cherry pie was really good! Check out the Chefs Hat!! Great views of the bay, warm cozy atmosphere, top notch service! You won’t be disappointed!

Honestly if I could give this experience a 0 I would. Stopped here to eat for lunch about 1 month ago. Informed the server I was gluten free. Ordered apps and then our meals. When receiving my meal they had normal bread on the side of my plate. Informed the serve and he took his bare hands and started picking off the pieces on the side and said he would bring back gluten free bread. After being totally grossed out that he had his hands in my salad noticed that I had very moldy raspberries as well in it. When he came back with the right bread, I informed him of the raspberries. He then again put his bare hands into my salad picking off the raspberries and told me he would get new ones. After this I had just asked for completely new salad. No apology or any type of compensation. My husband then ordered a coffee to go as we were driving back home. Didn’t offer to even put the coffee on the house. I was so upset that we had not even received an apology from our server to now stick his hands into my food but seemly pretty careless about me being gluten free as well. I called after and the manager was very nice and apologetic. Stated he would send something in the mail for this and the server should know better. Now we are a month later and I have followed up twice now and have received nothing. After being told twice now that something was coming and another time that I would be called back. I do not recommend coming here as our bill was $100 for a more than terrible experience. I never write reviews and tried to be extremely patient with staff. This is very poor costumer service and if you are gluten free please be aware of this.

The hot honey sandwich is THE perfect sandwich. The bread is crunchy and soft, the cheese is gooey and all over. It has a touch of heat with sweet and salty mixed in. I will think about it forever. Highly recommend! Turkey and Brie was also great if you want something a little more lowkey. Very nice patio that is dog friendly as well.

This place is packed, we didn't end up getting the coffee I wanted to get because it just basic coffee. They do have ice cream but the line was long and didn't want to wait. Prices seemed high. We were going to get food, but again it was very busy. Ended up going next door for coffee, which was great.

Honestly. The hot Sammy was the best sandwich I’ve had in my entire life. Warm meats with perfectly baked bread. I was shocked how good the food was. A bit pricier but you absolutely get what you pay for. Outstanding..

The best lunch spot in sister bay! Dine outside or take your food to go and picnic by the water! This place is so effortlessly cool. Love the bLT and my kids love the pizza rolls! We make sure we stop in for gelato at least once every time we’re in town. Also, the owners were featured on Wisconsin public television a few years ago. Make sure you check it out!

Delicious sandwich, soup and cookie! The turkey and Brie is magnificent! I could only eat half because it was so big, but excited to finish it late. The tomato basil soup was fabulous and the cookie was the best way to finish! The staff was so friendly and the cooks are polite and handsome.

This place is insanely good. It is a little pricey but you really get what you pay for. I think I’m truly going to dream about the turkey and Brie. Will definitely be going back next time we visit door county!

I didn’t walk into Door County Creamery with low expectations—quite the opposite. The place had a constant stream of people coming and going, which immediately told me it was somewhere worth checking out. After seeing the line move quickly and watching how many people left smiling, I figured there had to be a reason. I decided to try their coffee-flavored ice cream, and it was absolutely fantastic. The flavor was deep and authentic, with that perfect balance of roasted coffee taste and creamy sweetness. It wasn’t artificial or overly sugary—just smooth, rich, and perfectly crafted. Every bite felt like it was made with care and quality ingredients. The atmosphere inside was welcoming and upbeat. Even with how busy it was, the staff handled everything efficiently and with a smile. The shop was clean, inviting, and had that unmistakable Door County charm. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations and left a lasting impression. I’d go back in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone looking for great ice cream and a genuinely enjoyable experience in Door County.

Restaurant
Good Eggs is a charming eatery located in Ephraim, offering omelet wraps, coffee, and smoothies with scenic water views. The small building has outdoor seating with surfboards and various spots to sit around the building. It's conveniently located next door to Bay Breeze Resort and offers grab-and-go meals through their iPhone app or online ordering. The cozy shack catches the eye with its cheerful sign and is situated near Door County Confectionery's Ephraim location.
The breakfast burritos are amazing and worth the wait but be prepared because you may have to wait; we waited nearly an hour for ours and some folks got lucky and walked up while they were starting a new batch and had no wait at all. The service is slow with only one person cooking and one flat top which means they can only make 6-8 at a time. They keep it fun and entertaining though with the stories and jokes and you get to enjoy the cooking process which makes it go by faster and is more fun! Don’t let the menu fool you either as they have many add in options that range from spinach, different kinds of cheese and salsa and hot sauce!

This is somewhere that we have driven past for years but never stopped at. We tried it for the first time this trip. They have a limited menu which is fine. They have strawberry banana smoothies which the kids enjoyed. I’m allergic to strawberries so I can’t attest to the taste. We also got scones which were good. They have three different omelette options. Basic, super (not sure if that’s what the middle one is called) and deluxe. Deluxe has meat and veggies which is what I got. You get to pick all of the things that go into your burrito including the wrap. They explain things very well to you when you’re there. I think the deluxe was around $16. All in all pretty good.

Was welcomed in by the owner on a cold morning. We liked that this was made in front of us, it was a collaborative food experience. The burritos warmed our souls and stomachs, the coffee as well! It took a long time to get an order in, so we recommend making an online pickup, though you may miss some witty banter from the owner. All in all, great spot to stop to fuel up for a long hike or day out on the Peninsula.

Inconspicuous, BUT honestly the BEST place for a breakfast burrito and some of the best tasting food in Door County. This was my second time here and it met my superb expectations from last time. We will definitely be back! And Teddy was a great host/cook, thanks Teddy!

We had the best breakfast burritos in here , but even better than the burrito was the service provided by Teddi. He was extremly profesional and friendly and he answered all my questions and than he coked the burrito in front of me. I will definetly go back and i really hope Teddi will make me another burrito.

The best breakfast experience in door county! Everyone inside was friendly. It put a smile on my face just being in the restraunt. We put an order in for Burritos and we're eating them within 10 min. Best Breakfast Burrito I have ever had! Will make this a new door county tradition!

Second time at Good Eggs. Excellent service and a fantastic breakfast burrito. The owner is the nicest guy who took time with each guest. I can see how a wait could accrue, however, we had zero wait. I had the standard burrito and added all the veggies. So good! Husband had the basic and loved it. Portions were large, pricing more than fair. Will definitely be back each time we visit DC. Highly recommend!!

We finally got to eat here we've been trying to stop in but unfortunately we always come at the end of the year. The staff is wonderful and the omelettes are delicious. I will definitely be back before they close again. Thanks again for such wonderful service and great food.

Trixie's in Ephraim, near Sister Bay, is a bright and relaxed venue known for its locally sourced, seasonal fare and an impressive selection of natural wines and craft beers. The restaurant offers innovative food with dishes like whitefish served with roasted mission figs, celeriac, and lemon, as well as delicate house-made pastas. The knowledgeable staff are happy to answer questions about the wine selection.
This place is the best restaurant in Door County! We’ve visited twice now, and always received top notch, friendly staff and amazing food. When you’re in town or live locally, this is one place you really need to go to hands down. Everyone needs to experience the food they’re putting out. We’ve personally met the chef Cooper, and Em. Owen from the front of the house, and Kayla the bartender. Everyone was very personable, and does an outstanding job. This place is a staple for our Door County visits! We love the atmosphere and diverse, creative dishes.

What a Great LITTLE find. Very small dinning room. Nice wine bar, eclectic menu, VERY well done. Trixie's does not take reservations so you just go early and stand in line to see if you get in for the 1st seating. If you don't make the cut don't worry, get on the list and go have a glass of wine down the street they will text you when your table is ready. Atmosphere, service and food is great.
Dan H — Google review
Dinning at Trixie’s has far exceeded our expectations. First of all, the food is exceptional. Definitely, the best in all of Door County. Although everything was great, I highly recommend the Chicken confit 🤤. I want to also recognize the amazing service we received from the front and the back of the house. Kayla, our bartender/server was very knowledgeable, hospitable, and took great care of us. Also, Cooper and Em from the kitchen staff worked so cohesively together, creating perfectly balanced, delicious dishes, but also being super friendly and hospitable (working in such a small place!) My Fiancé and I have been to Michelin Starred restaurants all over the world, and I truly believe this gem deserves a star based on the food and service we received. It’s a small restaurant with limited seating, so I highly recommend going early. We got there around 6:30, and was one of the last reservations put on the list for the night because of the high demand. It was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to return!
Logan M — Google review
This was our second time coming here, and each time we are blown away at the food and service. Food is creative, yet simple. They also have a small patio out front to enjoy a beautiful Door County evening. The restaurant fills up quickly, and does not take reservations, but it is without question worth the wait!
Jason B — Google review
A Door County delight in Ephraim. We shared the saganaki, green gazpacho, battered green onions, couscous, and the pasta of the day which was a ricotta gnocchi with fennel sausage crumble. The tempura battered green onions were my favourite of the meal. Perfectly crisp and seasoned and a hefty portion; incredible. Small plates and impressively researched and sourced wines make for a wonderful experience. They don’t take reservations so it’s vital to arrive well before opening if you wish to dine in the first seating at 5 pm as we did.
Stephanie L — Google review
Everything was amazing! I definitely recommend the poutine crusted mushrooms and the Braised Short Rib. They also had complimentary bread (with oil) which is always amazing! Definitely recommend it!
Will S — Google review
Food was amazing. My wife and I had the Citrus and Bitters Salad, Gnocci De Jour, Whitefish Fettuccine, and Mushrooms. Bridgette, our server was great. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Wickman and Trixies are must stops to anyone visiting DoCo.
Evan — Google review
Outrageous! Such an incredibly delicious meal. Gillian, our server, was positively amazing - so attentive, informative and kind. This was our first time here, but based on this experience, it’s already become a favorite. For best seating, arrive about 4:15 or 4:30, enjoy a drink at one of the neighboring businesses, and keep an eye on the front door. When you see a line beginning to form, head on over and your almost guaranteed a place for the 5:00 seating. Otherwise, you’ll be added to a wait list for the 6:30 or 8:00 seatings. Either way, it’s well worth the wait! Highly recommend!

Prince of Pierogi Restaurant is a charming spot that offers a wide range of savory and sweet pierogi, stuffed cabbage rolls, hunters stew, and smoked kielbasa dogs. The menu also includes vegan and gluten-free options to cater to different dietary preferences. Visitors can pair their meals with authentic Polish or domestic beer and wine for a complete dining experience. The restaurant has gained popularity for its delicious homemade comfort food, reminiscent of traditional Polish cuisine.
We recently visited this delightful Polish restaurant and were thoroughly impressed! The food was exceptional; we particularly loved the variety of pierogi, each bursting with flavor. The service was attentive, and I would especially like to mention a young lady named Yasya. (If I heard her name incorrectly, I apologize). Despite the large number of guests, she took great care of us and made us feel welcome. If you're in the area, don't miss this place! Our family can't wait to come back for more delicious food.

Loved it! We have been excited to try Prince of Pierogi in Ephraim since it opened and we were very pleased! Got cherry pierogis, sauerkraut and potato pierogis, kielbasa, and cabbage rolls. Excellent service, nice seating area outside. Flavorful food just like my Grandma used to make❤️ Can't wait to try the new spot in Sturgeon Bay! Highly recommend! Also-- kudos on the sustainable/recyclable take out containers!!! Would be great if we saw more of that and no more styrofoam!!

Excellent food! Authentic Polish food is hard to find, but this restaurant is a gem! Had a chance to speak with the owner about other Polish restaurants from our local area - it was nice to speak with someone who knew of them. The food was very good and the service was exceptional. This will be a regular stop for us when we’re up here!

Wow, lucky shot! On my way back to Green Bay from Door Bluff Park after a hike, I met a wonderful couple who told me about this place. I could not resist stopping by and trying Polish food Simple but very tasty, I have no regrets. Polish pierogi with pork and hunter's stew was my choice, and it was delicious! See you next time!

Cute little place! Excellent service and the food is delicious! We choose to go with the fan favourites of cheese and potato with caramelised onion on top. Would recommend!
Kathryn V — Google review
Loved this place! It came up when I googled “affordable places to eat in door county.” Because honestly there are so many overly expensive restaurants with mediocre reviews and I’m not willing to pay $50 for a dinner that’s bland (cough cough, egg harbor). I have never had polish food before, but I gave them a shot! I tried the platter (which was a sampling of 4 of their foods). I liked the pierogi and cabbage rolls best! Ate those right away and I would return for more! They are located right next to Lake Michigan in a cute little area with lots of small businesses. I also liked the kielbasa sausage, even though I am not a fan of sausage usually. I took the stew home with me for leftovers. I ate it with some bread I had at home and it was Delicious. On to the staff, the owner and cashier were very friendly and helpful. The cashier brought me napkins and even free bread to go with the stew! Definitely recommend trying it with the bread! They definitely all had the door county charm :) probably about to go back for cabbage rolls and pierogi! I wish we had a polish place back home, it is great comfort food! $20 for 2 meals is an amazing value!

Roots Inn & Kitchen is a charming bed-and-breakfast located in the village of Sister Bay, offering country-style rooms filled with antiques. The inn serves complimentary breakfast and cookies to its guests and opens its kitchen to the public for lunch from Saturday to Tuesday each week.
Roots is such an awesome spot to stay! We enjoyed the coziness of our room and the close proximity to all of Sister Bay’s downtown. Can’t say enough about Collin and his team. The comfort they provide from check in to check out is incredible. And the breakfasts from the Kitchen each morning were all so unique and delicious. It was really fun to walk in there with no idea of what the breakfast was and to let Collin show off! We will definitely be back.

We stayed for two nights at Roots Inn and had a fantastic experience! Collin was super helpful and very responsive. The breakfast was amazing-- a sizable, tasty, and healthy meal to start the day off well! The Inn's location was also really great; you're right next to downtown but also a bit off the busier road. We'll be back :) Thanks!

We were looking for a cozy, romantic B&B to spend our anniversary weekend and the Roots Inn was PERFECT! It’s very close to the main area of Sister Bay but just down a quiet street. Collin is incredibly accommodating and attentive. Breakfast was unique, healthy, filling and DELICIOUS! Collin is very conscious of specific dietary needs and food preferences. We will ABSOLUTELY return in the future, I think we found our new favorite go to place to stay. Thank you to the Roots team for making it a great stay!

Our week at Roots was absolutely wonderful! We stayed in the 2-Twin room and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. It was fantastic to have breakfast taken care of each morning, with Collin preparing everything perfectly to our dietary needs. Randy's coffee from Ephirum Coffee Lab was a daily highlight we'll truly miss until next time. Beyond the delicious food and coffee, Roots offers onsite parking, classic Sister Bay charm, and an unbeatable location just one block from the beach. If you're a foodie with any dietary needs, rest assured, Roots will accommodate! A big thank you to Owen, Frank, and Collin for making our trip so special.

Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik is a rustic log-cabin eatery in Sister Bay, open since 1949. It offers traditional Swedish dishes like lutefisk and meatballs with lingonberry jam. The restaurant is known for its three-hour wait during peak times and even attracts crowds in the winter. A unique feature is the goats grazing on the grass roof, a tradition dating back to its founder's Swedish wife.
Al Johnson’s is a must-visit for our family whenever we’re in Door County. The iconic goats grazing on the sod roof are such a fun and unique sight! Inside, the Swedish-inspired décor and friendly staff create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. My personal favorite is the open-face sandwich, and all the traditional Swedish dishes are delicious. The only downside is the wait since they don’t take reservations, but it’s totally worth it!
Sharon L — Google review
The live goats 🐐 were on the grass roof ! Very popular restaurant for Swedish/American food. They have expanded over the years and today, we opted to enjoy lunch outside. It was such a warm, gorgeous day and enjoyed the outdoor patio. Tables with colorful yellow umbrellas provided us shade. Don't miss shopping at both boutiques. The one in the restaurant has beautiful Swedish gifts, clothing, Al Johnsons labeled food products ect.. The other new store has beautiful imported gifts and more.

Fantastic experience! We love everything about it. The food is excellent and the servers are very professional and friendly. Shocked at how quickly the food came out. The ambiance is very charming and there is a great gift shop on site. Don't forget look for the goats on the roof! We will be back. A must do in Door County!
Keith J — Google review
We visited this place for breakfast. Although we were told the wait would be about 20 minutes, we were seated in just 10. I really enjoyed the way they grilled the bread with butter inside, and while their pancakes were nothing like what I had expected, I was pleasantly surprised once I tasted them. The pancakes were thin, almost like crepes, with a chewy texture, and spreading butter on them made them wonderfully savory. The meatballs, however, were a bit dry, so I don’t think I would choose them next time. At first, I noticed that the staff all looked rather stern, and I wondered if perhaps something was wrong. But later, I came to think it might just be a natural expression typical of their culture. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the goats on the roof, which would have been a treat. Still, the food was excellent, and we had a truly enjoyable time.
Kate — Google review
The iconic Al Johnson's is still one of the top must experience restaurant attractions in northern DC. The goats were probably on break from all the Labor Day weekend excitement, but the grass roofs still stood out when looking down 42 from a block north. Plenty of parking, seated quickly. Food was served quickly. Coffee ran dry quickly with no refills in sight. Food was the usual. No time for the gift shop today.
J A — Google review
Nice historical and culturally rich restaurant with a Swedish goods store attached. The wait can be very long (they don't take reservations), so be sure to go early especially on busy days/tourist heavy days. The service was friendly and swift -- love the waitstaff traditional outfits and clogs. The food was okay to say the least. The meatballs and gravy were fine as well as the Swedish pancakes. My favorite part of the meal was the linden berry sauce that went with the Swedish pancakes. The lingonberry lemonade just has a hint of lingonberry flavor, the lemon overpowers it. Was also unlucky that the goats were tucked up on the top and not very visible. Overall, the food was okay and the bigger selling points are the goats and Swedish dining experience.
Felicia C — Google review
Great Atmosphere. I came because I was super excited to eat the Swedish meatballs but they were super disappointing. Tasted like Vienna sausage (the canned kind) but in meat ball form. I’m hoping that is not how Swedish meatballs taste, I will try another place and hopefully this place just does them differently. Very pricy as well for simple meals. Nice place tho and good hot chocolate. Nice workers as well.

A really pleasant time. I ordered the espresso martini—it was good, but I wish it had a bit more of that bold espresso flavor and a thicker texture. Still enjoyable, just a little on the light side for my taste. The outdoor seating was lovely, with a peaceful vibe that made it easy to relax and take in the atmosphere. Our server, Samira, was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome right away. I also loved the little details—like the cute plates they served everything on. Inside, there's a really charming retail section with fun kitchen items, gifts, and even card games. It made the place feel like more than just a café—it felt like somewhere you could spend time browsing and enjoying the whole experience.

Guests rave about the high-quality, fresh food and recommend trying the delicious desserts.
Found this charming little Mediterranean restaurant tucked in the back located just off the Main Street where there was lots of parking available. We were treated so kindly by the owner, Makhter, who took time to explain the dishes, answered our questions, and even tailored a dish to our preference. The taste of the ground lamb kebabs was perfect and the platters were generous portions served with a fresh and tasty Mediterranean salad. The Turkish tea was outstanding and flavorful. Delicious food! Some of the best flavoring and seasoning in door county. Very friendly service as well. The red blend wine great selection as well. Food tasted fresh and seasoned to perfection!

The food here is still incredible, just like last year. The lamb kebab was incredibly tender and juicy, bursting with flavor. The salad was crisp, fresh, and delicious. The rice and chickpeas were perfectly cooked, and the pitas were warm and soft. However, this year, the restaurant was very busy, and the service was a bit slow. Despite that, they managed to get our food out before we got too hungry. Everything was served hot and delicious. Incredible food! Imagine a food truck with a small interior and a small outdoor dining area. The flavors were amazing, and the food was perfectly cooked to order. However, I would advise against ordering the baklava. It’s overpriced and lacks the necessary pastry and a substantial amount of dessert.

Sunset Harbor Grill is a classic Ephraim establishment that offers American comfort food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant provides fresh and well-prepared meals with stunning views of Ephraim's harbor on the bay of Green Bay.
My husband, daughter and I stopped in here on our way up to Gillis Rock. We had never eaten here before and thought we would try it. We are so happy that we did. The service was perfect (the owner was also our waiter and was very friendly and on spot with drink refills, special orders, etc). We each ordered a different meal and each of our meals was fresh and delicious. The spinach dip with small warm round bread slices was homemade and both were cooked to perfection. The chips are not hard and burnt like a lot of other places. No complaints from any of us, everything was great. We will definitely be back whenever we visit Door County, and definitely will recommend this restaurant to friends and family as well!

An interesting dining experience. Food was plated very nicely, while silverware is handed out wrapped in a papernapkin and napkin ring. The servers have black collared shirts but also sportshorts and basketball tennies. You are greeted on entry by a hostess and then promptly encouraged to seat yourselves. The place seems trapped somewhere between fine dining and bar & grill. The service was very friendly and very quick, which would be expected when you are sitting 5 feet away from the host station. The food was delicious, well prepared, and came out very quickly. My wife had chicken Alfredo, and I had the "Cajun" shrimp alfredo. I put Cajun in quotes because it slightly missed the mark. A small trace of red onion was the only hint at any part of the holy trinity touching this recipe, and a few thin sliced Andoulli suasages were their to help pay lipservice to "Cajun" cuisine. Some old bay seasoning or even just a touch of celery salt and a dash of crystal hotsauce could have gone a long way to spice up the dish, but as it was, it was a mildly seasoned creamy shrimp alfredo. This is probably nit-picky, but it was a $30 plate of pasta after all. My biggest issue was honestly the price. $30 for pasta just seems exorbitant. What my wife and I received were very delicious, $15 plates of pasta from a $15 a plate level dining experience, and no clue where the extra $20 upcharge was coming from. I am not saying anything was bad, it just wasn't up to the standard it's priced at. The bones are there for this place to be a very nice upscale dining experience worth $30 a plate, but Im not sure it wants to be. It is, after all, a "Grill".

Wow! Amazing little restaurant located upstairs. The atmosphere was welcoming and you can tell it's family owened. The employees seemed to know their local customers. The food was great! We had american breakfast and stuffted french toast. The Mimosas lasted my whole meal! Great portions. We will definitely be stopping here again when we come through.

Excellent service by the owner who waited on us. Delicious food was so fresh and tasted amazing. Food was served quickly despite other people there waiting at nearby tables. Cute decor with beautiful views of the Lake

Wonderful place to heat with a great view of the water. Located on the second floor of Ephraim Shores Resort makes it convenient to walk to. Food is consistently delicious and I swear they have the best pancakes around. Today I had the veggie omelet and my mom poached eggs. She is fussy and said they were cooked to perfection.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and we were greeted right away by one of the staff members. Very friendly. Sat us right at a table looking out to the lake. Service was excellent. We ordered the calamari, which was so delicious. I ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta, again, so delicious. The moscato they serve there was the best. My boyfriend ordered the Rueben sandwich, he said it tasted really good too. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is staying in door county. 👍👍👍

Order the perch last night. Seem like they forgot to drain the oil off the fish. Cold slaw was almost hot. (Could not eat it) wife order a black and blue burger. Not sure what they use for meat but it was definitely not cow. Or it was defrosted before they cooked it. She could not eat it.

Soup restaurant
The Summer Kitchen serves American fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with an emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients. The family restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with great service. The fried fish was okay but the white fish baked was not at all good in taste. However, the soup was delicious.
The food was tasty. Portion sizes are good. Entrees included a trip to the soup/bread bar. The cup of soup and bread were very good. We went twice during our Door County vacation.

Very nice little place in Door county. Food was very delicious, although some prices were slightly steep. The atmosphere was amazing, like eating breakfast at your grandma's. Cozy, quaint, and unique. Service was average, friendly servers with a slightly longer service time. Will be visiting here again and I would recommend it!
Cadyn S — Google review
We stopped here for breakfast and everything was just wonderful. We ordered Skillet and farmer breakfast — perfectly cooked and so satisfying — but the real star of the meal were the Cherry Pancakes🍒🍒🍒. Honestly, they were unbelievable — worth the visit all on their own. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, with warm design details that make you want to stay longer. Just a beautiful place to start the day. Highly recommend!!!

The service was very quick. I was impressed how quickly we got our meal. The server was friendly. We didn't feel rushed to make decisions quickly about what we were going to eat. We got soup, bread, and crackers with each of the entrees we ordered.

The food is outstanding! We had the chicken salad, cabbage soup and cherry bread pudding and all were delicious! And the people who own it are wonderful too! They have decorated it so cute. Great flowers and very fun mosaics made with broken coffee cups. So pretty! We wish we had one of these in St. Louis.

The soup bar was $16.95 in 2020, now in 2025, it’s $26.95. Adding cherry ‘sangria’ (all ice & zero fruit), and 1/2 a chicken salad sandwich led to $70 per person for lunch. Such a bummer for a place I’ve loved since the 1980’s. Their chicken dumpling soup is excellent. We both got food poisoning that evening, probably from their chicken salad sandwich. (Unless it was a fish boil, coleslaw with the fish, lemonade, or ice cream- it’s hard to know the source for sure)
Heidi P — Google review
This restaurant is cute inside and outside. There is plenty of seating. The food was delicious, perfect serving size and lots of different food options. Pretty much every meal comes with a trip to the soup, bread and cracker station. There was I think 4 or 5 different homemade soups. I had the mushroom rice and it was delicious. I also, ordered the cashew chicken salad in a pita with fries which was also, delicious. We also, shared cheese curds. The service was great and our waitress was very attentive but not annoying. I definitely recommend stopping in.
RL K — Google review
To be honest, hard pass on this place for several reasons. Over priced food, average soups, and lackluster service. Plus they bill you $10 extra to share a meal. Went to Sip across the street our first two days in town, and tried this for Brunch for the 3rd, and we won’t be back. Photo is the lunch special dessert :/

Leroy's Water Street Coffee is a charming spot offering a variety of coffee, lattes, and treats. The venue features outdoor seating where visitors can savor the Door County weather and scenery with friends. They provide an array of local and national newspapers for patrons to enjoy while sipping on perfectly balanced coffee drinks that are not overly sweet. Despite its limited indoor seating, there is ample outdoor seating available.
So excited to see this place open again and with great new renovations!! When we found out we visited every morning on our trip. Their chai lattes and bakery items are to die for. I don’t think I’ve tasted a gluten free cookie as good as the ones they have.

Julie's Park Cafe & Motel is a low-key, family-run establishment located near the entrance to Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek. The motel offers unassuming rooms with free Wi-Fi and parking, making it a convenient choice for visitors. The attached cafe is a popular spot for breakfast or lunch, offering a variety of delicious options to fuel up before exploring the attractions of Door County. Over the years, the business has expanded to include cottages and condos as well.
I am not only a native but a frequent door county vacationer. Every time I come in here I make sure to stop at Julie’s. It is the best cafe in the whole peninsula! The espresso is so delicious, plus the carrot cake is so divine. Every person I bring up north always says this is the best place they ate at.

Excellent service, and portion sizes. I got 1 egg over easy, & plain French toast. My mom had gluten-free pancakes and 2 eggs. Both were very generous portions. I had tea which came in assorted flavors. It was all very good!

Great place as always. I’ve stayed here about once per year for the past 10 years. It’s always as clean and as fresh as the year before. The rooms are simple. The finishes aren’t high end or low end but they are always clean. The bathrooms look and feel clean as well as the beds. I highly recommend staying here. The restaurant is also very good. At least for breakfast, I’ve never had lunch there.

I was in Fish Creek for business. O'Meara's Irish House was hosting a pop up shop for my company - Miss Dottie's Pound Cake. We usually stay at a different hotel but they were booked so we tried Julie's. What a wonderful decision!!! Everything was top notch & the room was exceptionally clean, which we appreciated!!! We had a room with 2 queen beds. The beds were so comfortable & we loved the 4 pillows per bed. We slept so well. Great water pressure, lots of hot water, pristine fluffy towels, a hair dryer & a reallllly clean bathroom with mini amenities, which I personally love. The room had a microwave & a nice cold refrigerator for our drinks & snacks and cold A/C. The room was quiet & there was a fire pit & games available. We didn't have time to enjoy those options but they were very inviting. The reservation, check in & out were easy & efficient. The in person check attendant was friendly & answered all our local questions. Great communication from booking to check out. I can't say enough great things about Julie's!!! We are currently in the process of securing our reservation for 2026! Thank you Julie's for an excellent weekend!!!

They have an entire GF menu and the best GF pancakes I have ever had! No offense to my spouse's cooking. These pancakes were large (almost plate size), fluffy and lightly browned with a griddle taste. I intended to take one home but ate them both. Eggs were also fluffy. Fruit was decent. Sausage was okay. This is the second year I've come here, and I'll definitely return again for the GF pancakes!

CHOP is a renowned American steak and seafood restaurant located in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. This family-owned establishment offers an upscale dining experience with its white-tablecloth setting, extensive wine list, and patio seating. The menu boasts a variety of fine cuts such as New York Strip, Filet Mignon, and Ribeye, along with options like lamb, pork, and surf & turf. Vegetarian meals are also available including the famous chop salad.
Food was great, service was great, it was just super noisy. It's not a great place if you're looking for a more intimate setting for a date. You're seated super close to other people and you can barely hear across the table.

Chop, Sister Bay We loved heading to Chop for their early dinner menu when we were in Sister Bay. It was such a good deal! For just $29.95, you get a three-course meal with a starter, entrée, and dessert—many options and big portions. The food was beautifully done: a fresh salad, an entrée cooked just right, and a sweet dessert that felt perfect, not rushed at all. The vibe there was warm and upscale, but still casual enough for a laid-back evening. The service was spot on, attentive but not too much, and everything flowed just right. For the price, it’s one of the good dinner deals in Door County, especially given the quality of the food and overall experience. Checking it out if you’re in Sister Bay and craving a tasty dinner without spending a fortune!

Food and drinks were delicious!! They have an incredible early dinner deal which some of our party ordered. $5 old fashioned, and $3 off glasses of wine as well. I got the appetizer of scallops and the mushroom ravioli. Fantastic steaks as well. Every cocktail our party ordered was delicious. View from the rooftop with the sunset was also delightful.

We had a group of 11 and although we couldn’t all sit together, we were fairly close. We set up reservations early and walked right in during our time. The food service was quick. The food was excellent and our server was excellent as well.

We’ve been coming here for our anniversary for several years, and it’s always been an incredible experience. Unfortunately, Saturday night was not the same. When we made our reservation online, we even noted that it was for our anniversary. To our surprise, we were seated in an area where couples were placed less than a foot apart, so we had a couple on our left and our right less than a foot away, leaving us with no privacy and an uncomfortable atmosphere, super disappointing. My wife ordered the tenderloin well done, and I ordered the ribeye medium. Her steak arrived extremely undercooked, and despite sending it back twice, it still wasn’t prepared correctly. By the time it was cooked through, I had already finished my meal. To make matters worse, my ribeye was very tough, I chose not to send it back or say anything since we had already gone through the hassle with her steak. I also thought it was strange that they put my steak on top of my potatoes. On a positive note, the lobster was outstanding as always, but overall this was a disappointing experience. Sadly, after many great anniversaries here, we will likely need to look for a new location next year.

George, our waiter, was absolutely amazing! He's very attentive, personable and charming. Our food was 5 stars! We had filet mignon and wagyu New York strip steak. Food placement on the plate was a masterpiece of art, stunningly exquisite. Every bite was savory. Dessert was the carrot cake. I expected just a plain piece of cake... but no it was delectable. Every forkful of food was a party on my palate. Highly recommend this place and make sure to ask for George to have exceptional service.

Next Level!!! A must if you need a little TLC at a resteraunt. The service is outstanding. We were dissatisfied with our broccoli soup. The waiter not only replaced with a salad but then brought out a new cup of soup to get our opinion if improvements were made. Very impressed. Not sure how on earth they make the buns that are served before your meal? They are outstanding and like nothing I've had before. Perfect place for date night or special occasion. Can't wait to return a 3rd time.

Husby's Food & Spirits is a popular year-round tavern located in downtown Sister Bay, offering a family-friendly atmosphere with a kids menu and multiple TVs for sports package viewing. The outdoor patio at the Garage Bar features live music during the summer, making it an ideal spot for late-night entertainment. This establishment serves Mexican and American cuisine, including delicious whitefish tacos made from locally caught fare. Additionally, it doubles as a live music venue in the evenings.
As visitors to Sister Bay and Door County for just a few days this summer, we were amazed by the beautiful vistas, the peaceful wineries, and some classy restaurants and resorts. But after a couple days, we longed for a more down-to-earth experience. Where do the locals hang out? What has a comfortable vibe that allows you to relax and feel like you’re at home? Well, we are here to report that Husby’s is all of that and more! We had a blast spending a Tuesday evening dining on the weekly special (prime rib that was prime indeed - wow!) and enjoying a few drinks. The atmosphere was lively, the service was exceptional, and the prices were much more affordable than other tourist-oriented food and drink establishments. Long story short: we ate a supper club quality meal in a fun bar with locals while spending far less than the tourist spots by the beach. Don’t sleep on this great bar and grill that’s been around since 1928 (according to menu, not independent confirmed 🤣)

First night in Door County and we wanted something light. The whitefish wrap grilled with lemon aioli is very fresh and cravable. One of our party was looking forward to coming here just for this dish. The bbq wings were just right. Sweet potato fries a nice alternative and generous portion. Whitefish Ceaser salad good. Blackened chicken excellent. Lettuce super crispy and fresh. Could have used more dressing. very commendable for a local joint. In Door County even the local joints have good whitefish. It is kind of loud but that’s to be expected for a bar

Service bar was fantastic. Ordered food to go. Bunch of wings, two orders of prime rib, whitefish sandwich. Arrived home, whitefish piece was smaller than the tomato. Called and asked for my order to be remade because I don't want two cold prime ribs if I have to drive back. Manager was real combative. Brought my order back in full, minus one prime rib. (Driving from Ephraim to Sister Bay) and the manager couldn't even come acknowledge me when I brought the food back. The bartender did though. I've been coming here for 20+ years. Service staff seems very legit outside poor management.

Not Licked Yet Frozen Custard, located near Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek, offers a delightful experience for both kids and adults. The stand provides specialty ice cream treats and is situated next to a large playground and a pond where visitors can feed the ducks. In addition to its scenic location, the stand also serves delicious food such as rubens, paninis, and cherry pie.
43 years in business, try it and you’ll see why. I love the menu and style of window ordering, there’s so many amazing options for homemade sundaes or a slice of cherry pie with vanilla custard al a mode. I tried the Door County sundae, very rich and delicious. I would try the turtle one next or the butter pecan. Everything looks so good. Tons of kids and families playing by the colorful playground off the seating area. Super cute atmosphere and lights.

Disappointing. We used to like this place but our door County cherry Sunday came with a black hair in it for $10. They remade it, but no apologies, and then the second one lacked toppings there are many better ice cream and custard places. go to those. It is licked.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We are visiting from out of town, like most people. But could not find one of our wallets filled with credit cards and cash. We called twice. The first time they stated that they didnt find anything. The second time I requested them to look for it, and they stated that they had a line up to the road and only had 6 employees working then proceeded to hang up on me. We left our hotel instantly and drove there in a panic. We got there within 5 minutes and there was NO line. Instead, we found all the employees sitting around chit chatting. We did find the wallet thankfully, with no help from them. For a place that claims they are family owned, they sure were cruel and clearly dont care about anyone but their lazy selves. TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHNICS!! I have attached photos of what the supposed "line" looked like when we arrived.

What a wonderful experience. We looking forward to a nice treat after dinner and Not Licked Yet was just a few minutes away. When we turned into the lot and drove down the hill we were immediately transported to what felt like a hidden gem. After exiting our vehicle we could hear running water. The creek behind the parking lot was so tranquil. The whole experience was amazing. Very memorable. Lots of seating. Amazing staff. What an experience.

No Food After 7. I’ll tell You because they don’t. Our paper menu we took home previously doesn’t say it anywhere on it. The Google page does not help at all. You just wait in a stupid long line for someone to tell ya it’s $5 a scoop ice cream or nothing. Enjoy!
Brandon M — Google review
Terrible experience. We spent $20 on 3 cones that were instantly melting and messy — ice cream dripping everywhere before we could even reach the napkins. When we were handed them, the worker just shrugged and said, “Sorry, it’s messy.” By the time we got them, they were already half-liquid. We went back to ask if this was normal, and were met with a blank stare and a flat “Yeah.” No offer to fix it, no apology — nothing. We had to specifically ask for cups just to salvage what we could. Not a great experience at all. Wouldn’t return.

LURE Restaurant is a top-rated seafood restaurant in Sister Bay, WI. They serve up fresh, local seafood dishes and delicious cocktails. The restaurant has an intimate setting with booths and comfortable outdoor seating. Fido is welcome to join you for a meal at LURE!
Lure never disappoints! We were so excited to see them open for Easter Weekend! We had delicious spicy tuna roll and amazing crab cakes for apps. The seafood pasta and Ceasars salad with salmon was amazing! We always love Lure, and prefer it over Chop- their sister restaurant, so we were thrilled to see them open for the off season. Thank you for a delicious Good Friday dinner!
Kathryn S — Google review
My husband and I always make sure we book reservations for Lure whenever we are in Door County. Everything about this restaurant is top notch, from the service, the food, and the ambiance. Today, we had a first! We made early reservations and took advantage of their early dining special. This special allows you to get a 3-course meal for $29.95! You get soup or salad, an entree, and a dessert. I would watch the prices because some of the "entrees" (i.e., 6 oz. Filet) is on the $29.95 3-course menu, but they add $8 which is actually more than the actual menu price. However, the early dining specials allow you to get the soup/salad and dessert too, which would be an additional charge on the regular menu. The deal can't be beat!!! We were able to eat at Lure for $87 and that included two alcoholic beverages for my husband and myself. Highly, highly, highly recommend!
Nichole H — Google review
Had an amazing experience at Lure last night with our family. We dined outside on the patio area so we could have our pup. To start I had the espresso martini, it was perfect! For my dinner I had the three course dinner: Cesar salad, grilled salmon, and cherry pie for dessert; this whole meal was delicious (I had a taste of my friends calamari and would switch my salad for that next time, it was so good.) She had the white fish which she loved! The kids menu was perfect, my son had the salmon and daughter enjoyed her chicken strips and French fries. Our server was great and many other servers filled our waters as needed, amazing service. So welcoming! We would definitely dine here again and highly recommend. Kid and pup friendly!
Chantal S — Google review
We’ve been to Lure Restaurant a few times. This time, the food wasn’t as good as in the past. Both the crab cakes and salmon were a little overcooked and dry, and we also didn’t enjoy the bread. The service and atmosphere are still nice, but overall this visit was not as satisfying as our previous ones. Hoping next time will be more like the great experiences we’ve had before.
Sharon L — Google review
7/23/2025. 4 to 5 star experience we stopped for happy hour. We tried the five dollar old-fashioned which was OK. The drinks on the regular menu for $15 were very good. We had some of the happy hour food specials. I’m not sure that it was really a special price because everything was half portion, but it was OK. Everything was plated really nicely. We had the crab nachos which the crab was good with mango salsa and the queso really sold it. I think they would’ve been better on regular nachos instead of the wonton nachos because they were pretty greasy. It was a good helping for $10. We also had the sushi which was four little bites for eight dollars which the kids liked. It looked like there was bar seating right off the bar which the bartender had our 12-year-old sit on the lap of my husband to sit at the bar but should’ve suggested sitting at a possible bar table- it looked like they were also getting happy hour deals at the tables so that’s one reason I gave four stars because we stayed crammed at the bar instead of the table option which would’ve been a lot nicer experience. The tables were open initially when we got there so that would’ve worked out, but then of course they filled up. Also our bartender wasn’t very attentive, but he was pleasant enough. They also had a woman running out food and she was very nice. The atmosphere was very clean and nice and they had other early bird menu pricing which looked pretty good. In the end, they had a budget that was friendly for a wide variety of people that seating at the bar or on the patio or inside and booth, which I like. And the food was nice.
A.g. K — Google review
The food is decent here, however, I can't say it's worth the price. There's definitely the to be expected tourism upcharge, but I wish the seafood and value was just a bit better to justify the prices. I highly recommend reservations. We made reservations for 4:45 (they open at 4:30) and when we arrived the parking lot was nearly full and there was already a line at the host stand. My favorite part of my teriyaki salmon meal was the kimchi fried rice. That was definitely worth the additional charge. The caesar salad was also pretty good. The parmesan crusted whitefish could've been better and the mashed potatoes were very bland. I highly recommend getting the cornbread as an appetizer. The atmosphere is nice with indoor seating having a very modern and upscale atmosphere, and outdoor seating having a nice garden vibe. Overall, this is a decent restaurant in Sister Bay with a nice atmosphere. It's one of the few restaurants in the area that has a parking lot and reservations available, making it convenient for visitors.
Jeremy D — Google review
Nice place for dinner. Food was delicious. One thing I would like to bring attention is that sauces served in plastic. Everything else is so nice and plastic mini bowl feels awkward when you leave 100$ for dinner of two.
Kasia C — Google review
We love this place and come here every summer. Great steak and seafood! I love the Caesar salad and the lobster bisque! It’s a beautiful place with good service. It can get pretty loud indoors though. I would recommend eating outside if possible because the garden is beautiful. I love the key lime pie. I highly recommend a reservation because it’s very busy. We have sat comfortably with 8 people so it works for large groups and well as small.

Klaud's Kitchen, a beloved coffee shop that reopened in June 2023, has evolved into an exciting culinary destination. Initially offering a limited menu of lattes and sandwiches, it now features monthly specialty lattes and a variety of pizzas. Visitors rave about the delicious breakfast burritos, fresh pastries, and friendly service. The cozy patio provides an ideal setting to start the day.
If I could give this place a 6 start rating, I would! The food is PHENOMENAL, the staff are friendly, courteous and effective, and the atmosphere is GORGEOUS! We came for breakfast and left with dessert. We'll definitely be stopping here every time we come to Door County!

The service was very helpful and friendly. Atmosphere is very laid-back. Great gluten free options such as pizza & desserts. There are many other foods not gluten free as well. I love going here i encourage others to go here too. You won't be disappointed

Amazing selection of deserts. They have their own coffee brand. Potato rings are amazing! We needed to wait for an hour at Aljohnson nearby so we came to this place which was a great surprise! Love this place and even respect it after learning about its history. Highly recommended!

What an adorable place! We stumbled on this when we were heading out of town leaving Sister Bay. We came for breakfast and the menu looked limited at first glance. However, they had so mamy delicious things to choose from! The breakfast burrito was honestly the best I have had! Paired with the potato rings (which are like tater tots shaped like a thick onion ring) this was a delicious meal! My companion had a slice of the sour cream coffee cake, which they said was moist and good but lacked "a lot of flavor but was still good." However, the bakery cases they have there look divine! They have cakes, pastries, coffee cakes, danishes, muffins & more. We ordered a slice of cheesecake to go which was decent but not the flavor we asked for. We were long gone before we discovered the mixup - still good though so we didn't mind. The staff was so sweet and the drinks were good. My seasonal coffee was exceptional. The building is rusticly modern. It was so cute! Next time we are up in DC I would go back, no question, and would get the exact same meal - it was that good. But I bet their avocado toast, breakfast sandwich or lox & bagels are yummy too! I also look forward to trying more bakery items. It was very hard to choose only one! HIGHLY recommend!

This is a nice restaurant with excellent breakfast burritos. The price was a little steep for the burrito but what it tastes that good it justifies it. I got a few pastries as well and they were delicious.

First time at Klaud’s Kitchen and the experience was just okay. Given the top-rated reviews, thought I’d give it a try. Had high expectations going in. I ordered two coffee beverages, but unfortunately, both orders were made incorrectly by the staff. I ordered the “Baby Yoda Matcha,” The drink should’ve been green in color but came out all white. It came way too much milky and hardly any matcha flavor. For the second drink, I specifically requested oat milk, but it was made with whole milk instead by the gentleman at the front with the mustache and accent. Thank goodness there was not a dairy allergy because that could’ve been a disaster. On this visit, it was preference only. On the bright side, the quiche was delicious, but overall, the drink experience really missed the mark.

Amazing place for getting sweet treat. The biggest amount of options in whole county. So many different cakes/flavors. Crème brûlée donut is 10/10!

Great food! We had the pizza and burrata bruschetta as carry out one night. The service was amazing. The interior is quite open with large tables and benches. It was nice and quiet when I was there 30 min before closing but I'm sure it's quite bustling during the day. The desserts were a great variety and plentiful and looked delicious!

Nestled at 214 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, SAVOR BBQ & TAPHOUSE is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious, low and slow wood-smoked meats. This food truck serves up an array of mouthwatering options including Texas-style brisket, pulled pork, chicken hot links, and even smoked burgers. Complementing these hearty dishes are comfort food sides like classic mac n cheese and loaded Mexican corn that elevate the entire dining experience.
Best barbecue in Wisconsin! We stopped in here for lunch on our way out of town on a whim and were blown away by the quality and flavor of all the food. I loved the brisket and pork belly burnt ends. But what really blew us away was the brisket burger! 2 spectacularly flavorful patties with American cheese, pickles, and special sauce on a toasted bun. We'll be back next time we're up here for sure.

My wife loved her Drover sandwich and Sunset wine slushie. She was not sure about the Doritos on top but loved it once she tasted it. My Longhorn was great. We each added a bad of chips (glutton free). It was really hot inside so I cannot recommend sitting indoors. The outside seating was fine. There was a clean changing table in the bathroom as well.

Savor has outstanding meats. All the meats. And wow they have breakfast now that is fantastic. The "am I in Austin (Lockhart) or Memphis" tasty meat combined with biscuits and gravy. And seriously, just order the biscuit by its wee self. Legit love their biscuit. Thanks y'all!

Don’t miss out on the breakfast options at this bbq joint! We had a delicious burrito with brisket. The tortilla is seasoned to perfection, soft and has a great sear on it to finish. Such a cute family owned business!

Discovered this new brick and mortar BBQ place while passing through Sister Bay and OH MY GOSH, some of the best food we’ve had in a LONG time. We talked to the owners and they have only been brick and mortar for 40 days after having 2 food trucks. Sister Bay is so lucky to have them!! We ordered the Cheesehead Burrito with beef barbacoa, The Bronco with beef brisket (they had gluten free buns!!!), coleslaw, and the corn casserole for sides. That coleslaw could win an award - I’ve never had such crunchy fresh coleslaw!! And oh my gosh the sauces…try the sauces on the table. We will be back!

Truly a gem in the middle of Sister Bay. Everything here was amazing. The people, the BBQ, and the vibes. The BRISKET though - is the best I've had anywhere. My wife enjoyed her loaded nachos with the pulled pork too. People need to dine here when they come up.

Owned by the team behind Sol Grass Music Festival on Washington Island, this deli has quickly become a must-visit spot.
Such a great stop!! We were on the way to our segway tour which ended up being in the same parking lot! Every part of our meal was wonderful! The wraps and sandwiches were fresh and tasted incredible! The noodle salad and potato salad were just as good! Service was great! The two workers were helpful and so nice! Neat and clean eating space with cute decor!

We heard great things about this place, so when my friends and I planned a girls day in Door County, we decided to stop here for lunch around noon. There were only about 5 or 6 people in line, and there were 2 employees working, so didn’t seem like it should take that long. It was over half an hour before the first person in our group was able to order, and at least half an hour more before the sandwich was ready. Everything was delicious, but we chose a deli because we figured it would be quick and we wouldn’t have to spend the whole middle of the day at a sit down restaurant, but I think this actually took longer. I enjoyed my DC Club on gluten free bread, my sister in law liked her What a Chick sandwich, a great vegan option, and our friend’s Antipasto salad looked amazing. Great food, if you have the time to kill. Sitting in the garden was a lovely place to wait at least
Kristin D — Google review
Hidden gem! Located right next to the Segway Tours, near the high school. Delicious food (pictured is a tuna salad sub & chef's salad), kind & competent service, and a touch of home. The day we came, there was only one person taking orders and making the meals, so be prepared to be patient. It's worth the wait, I promise!

First time ever trying this place and we will 100% be back! Amazing and super friendly service. The sandwiches were absolutely phenomenal and fresh! Hands down, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Pictured is the Bad Da Bing, 6" sub. We were helped immediately and only a small wait while they prepared our fresh sandwiches. Absolutely amazing experience!

Fantastic spot. Really glad I stopped to check it out with the family. The lady at the register was awesome. I think she made our stuff too. The 12 in sub is huge. We turned it into 2-3 meals for the kiddos. Food was great! can not wait to go back!

I can’t say enough good things about Backroads Deli! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about making sure every guest has a great experience. The food was absolutely amazing, but what really stood out was the Italian Beef sandwich! I can honestly say this one is right up there with the best of them. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and loaded with flavor—it felt like a little slice of Chicago right here. Everything we tried was spot-on! Highly recommend!

This is seriously the best thing we had to eat in Door County. It's definitely a hidden gem, off the main strip in Sister Bay. We visited during Labor Day weekend when everywhere else was packed, and this place wasn't busy at all. The burgers were amazing. Fresh and loaded with toppings. Their's fountain drinks available, and beer and other alcohol available. This will be a must stop in our next visit to Door County!

Had the bacon cheeseburger, Yum Yum. Came with a bag of chips. Got a canned beer and some ice cream sandwiches and some soft serve. We will be back. Quick service, friendly Hannah working out front. Did part of our order at the cash register and part on the phone and both worked great. Tons of easy parking out front and picnic tables to eat at right outside or you can eat at the counter inside.

Perfect place for a casual meal with kids- lots of outdoor picnic tables with umbrellas. Burgers were delicious! Served with bag of chips. Chicago dog also excellent. Kids were happy with grilled cheese and pb&j (crustable) and could wander around a bit without disturbing people. Soft serve was good . Only buzz is ice cream sandwich was rock hard and took 15 minutes to thaw but was delicious once thawed- so not good for an impatient child. Would definitely return - nice casual vibe. Also very close to 1211 winery where we headed to afterward.

Confectionery store
The Door County Confectionery & Fudge House in Ephraim is a charming candy shop with a variety of treats and treasures. While some visitors wished for more dye-free options, they still found fun items to pick out. The store offers nostalgic goods for all ages, including butter toffees that were particularly delicious. Visitors also appreciated the friendly service from the staff, although experiences varied.
This quaint little shop just off the road is full of treats and treasures! My kiddos loved seeing the dino and tub of taffy! There's heaps of nostalgic goods for mom and dad, too. The butter toffees were delicious! The cashier was very friendly. We stopped by for a little treat and also enjoyed getting our photo drawn by the visiting artist during one of the events. Looking forward to stopping back, soon!

Visited on Sunday, July 20. 2025. Candy shop with a lot of different options. Seems like a older candy shop with old nostalgic types of candy. There is a chocolate selection. It is a cute little step. Candy shop is located literally right next to good eggs, which is a great stop for a burrito for breakfast.

We had to stop for some extra fudge since were heading out tomorrow you need to have enough for a few days! This location is same owners as place in downtown Fish Creek. The young girl working was nice and helpful, but honestly all we need was some fudge so we were in and out quickly. Some of the reviews mention poor service and the older gentleman that also works there is definitely cranky most of the time which is disappointing since he has been there for many years and owners should have corrected that by now. Oh well works for us he wasn't there today!
CB — Google review
It was definitely a cute place with many choices of candy.
Sharon P — Google review
A fun place to stop and browse all the candy. I do wish they had more dye free options, besides the chocolate. The kid working behind the counter wasn’t super friendly or helpful. Thought perhaps that they might engage with my kiddo in a more fun way considering this is a candy store. My kiddo tried to engage the kid working behind the counter, but they didn’t seem to care. Regardless of this we picked out a couple of fun things, and will probably stop back next time we’re in town.
S. S — Google review
So, this place is one of my favorite childhood memories of Door County. I went back recently after 25+ years and it was absolute misery. It was really sad seeing my favorite candy store, turn into the little candy store of horrors. The guy behind the counter was extremely rude, condescending and just... awful. He complained about too many people and it not being "fun" anymore. You're working in the top tourist destination in Wisconsin. What are you expecting? Complained about needing to cut the fudge... in a fudge house. If this guy is the owner, he needs to sell the business as soon as possible. Let somebody who actually wants to make this business what it should be (and was). #ragefudge
Sean J — Google review
We came in to get fudge. As I was paying for it the gentleman behind the counter had a bit of sass. I played it off like he was having fun with us. When I asked for a receipt is when it all went wrong. He told me he was the manager and he didn't know how to print out a receipt and that the owners don't care about sales etc. He's never met the owner. Ok, whatever. He then said he didn't have the receipt because he threw it away and wasn't going to get it out of the garbage. He asked me to go through the garbage and find it myself. Then he said to us, " leave my store, goodbye." We will never go there again. ****Please let me know how I'm supposed to send you my address?******
Shannon M — Google review
The old man running the place is always rude & crabby. We come to Ephraim every year & stop in once during the trip-ALWAYS rude. He complains about receiving cash! We had $47 worth of candy (it’s very overpriced btw) & he complained! My husband said “It’s a $50. You’ll only have to give me $3 back.” The old mans response “I still have an hour to close! What if someone comes in with a $100 bill? This is worthless.” WORTHLESS! He gets so irritated when people come in & interrupt his smoke breaks too. I’m so glad this last trip we found a different candy store to go to. You’re in the wrong business buddy, sorry.

The Fashionable, formerly known as Trixie's, has undergone a rebranding with some familiar elements and exciting new additions. The restaurant maintains its original staff and seating system, allowing for a smooth dining experience. Guests can now enjoy a charming water station while waiting and cozy blankets for outdoor seating. The addition of music outside adds to the inviting ambiance. At the end of the meal, patrons are treated to delightful strawberry candies.
Absolutely obsessed with The Fashionable! It was such a delightful experience - my friend and I were up for a girls' weekend, and we were just tickled that while we were at The Fashionable, it was ALL WOMEN in the building (including the guests), save for the attentive and welcoming owner, Mike. The staff was so detail-oriented, and every staff member knew what stage of our meal we were at, who ordered what, it was impeccable. The food was unique and delicious. We loved the buckwheat tempura veggies, crispy potatoes (it's got some kick, you've been warned!), crispy pork belly, and apple crisp. The wine list is thoughtful and enjoyable. The atmosphere is cozy, warm, and intimate. Don't walk, RUN to dine here.

One of my top favorite places to dine in Door County! This restaurant offers a unique and beautifully friendly service that truly enhances the dining experience. Make sure to get your name on the waitlist as early as possible, as this is a must-have experience. Whether it's a casual meal or a special celebration, this place is perfect for almost every occasion. The food is outstanding and the wine selection is amazing. Highly recommended!

This is such a wonderful place to eat out at for any occasion. The food is fantastic and creative, the staff are welcoming, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We were sad when we heard Wickman House and Trixie's had closed, but The Fashionable having taken their places has the same quality and charm that we came to expect. The buckwheat tempura vegetables, beet salad, and crispy pork belly were all so good. It's a menu you wish you could try more of at one time, but have to come back again instead. Look forward to returning for some of the best food in Door County.

Our server Hope was great- friendly and fun! Food was excellent and worth all the research and time. So much going on with these plates in terms of flavors, and everything is so fresh! We got a ton of different things. Shared the cheese, asparagus which was AMAZING, crispy potatoes, cavatelli and I am blanking on the name of my dish- an Egyptian dish with chickpeas. All drinks were great, and Hope was right there to help out with wine choices. Highly recommend. If there's a wait when you stop, hang in there it's worth it!

Incredible dinner at The Fashionable, from the staff to the environment but most importantly, the food. The MUST gets: grilled cauliflower and the cavatelli were unbelievable. We also got the toasted bread cheese appetizer and the white fish fettuccine. Paired it all with an incredible wine list and ended with the strawberry shortcake.
Megan B — Google review
Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. We were delighted to eat here after the Wickman House closed and Trixies was re-opened as The Fashionable! The wait staff , particularly Srah, were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, adding to a spectacular meal. We were amazed but the perfect blending of what we thought was impossible in the Citrus and Bitters salad and the filling explosion of the Kosheri. The vegetable tempura also were delightful though a touch salty. Of the wines, we loved the House of Brown blend, the Elana Walch schiava, and the dessert Sauternes. Speaking of dessert, don’t miss the shortcake sundae! It’s our new DC favorite!

Everything as close to perfection as one can get in a idillic town along the bay shore. The presentation, atmosphere and the food… every bite a flavor burst. Lovely spot to go with friends. Seatings are arranged on a first come first served basis with seating indoors and out. Be there early if you would like to enjoy “The Fashionable”. As the season ramps up seatings will fill quickly. No reservations but there are lovely spots nearby to enjoy some wine or a beverage…Or take in the sunset while you wait! Worth the wait.

Really wanted to check out this place after their sister restaurants shut down. It just opened. Don't love the branding and their ig which feels vague and pretentious, but luckily the interior and vibe was completely different and chill. Nice and airy with bright lighting. The menu was a little limited which was disappointing, but the food was amazingly presented and prepared. The sportea drink was really lovely and refreshing. Service was super friendly and conversational. Would definitely come back, just wish they would expand their menu to have more options.

Bad Moravian is a unique beer hall and art gallery in Door County that offers a blend of craft beers from across the nation and hosts various chefs serving new foods. The establishment, which opened last year, initially sold packaged beers curbside due to the pandemic but has since opened its sit-down space to offer a wide variety of craft brewery styles. The venue also serves as a platform for local businesses to showcase and sell their food, art, and clothing.
Pizzas are unique! The sauce has a little sweetness to it but the cheese and toppings add the saltiness/ spice. I LOVE atmosphere here, the colors and art work make it funky! There are large tables for bigger groups along with outside seating. There is an extensive selection of beer and wine and definitely something for everyone. Service is a 10/10, Gillian is the sweetest and super helpful.

It will keep on serving beer and pizza to those who like their beer and pizza. It's that simple. They dont need your approval. They dont need my approval. Why am I even writing this?

I really was prepared to be disappointed, but this place really lives up to the hype. Best pizza in Door Co, and I would say significantly better than Wild Tomato in their prime. They know what they are doing by deciding what days of the week they will make pizza and only sharing it via Instagram. No take outs, no call ins, if you want the pie you have to come in and experience it. They had 1 bartender and server working at 200 miles per hour, but it added to the loure Its not fast, you’re going to be there awhile, but its an incredible place to enjoy. Don’t just go trying to be in a hurry. This is the kind of place that will soon become so busy it would be visitable, so if you can get in, go now. Well done Bad Moravian. Well done.

We were visiting the area for my wife's birthday and she decided she wanted pizza. After looking up some possibilities I was struck by the 5.0 star ratings this place received. We arrived a little late in the evening and found the place hopping. They were definitively understaffed but that's not uncommon these days. Service was uneven but friendly. Upon ordering a pizza, we were told they only make a certain number of crusts per day and that they may be out. After checking, we were lucky enough to get the last dough of the evening. We order the "Apocalypse Wow" which has pepperoni, sausage, and hot giardiniera. My wife wasn't feeling well so we asked to hold the giardiniera. I have tried Detroit style pizza a couple of times and found it to be too doughy and lacking in flavor so I was interested to see if we were going to like this or not. When the pizza came out it was a thing of beauty. Lots of toppings and a beautifully caramelized crust. It did come out with the giardinera on it and we knew there was no more dough so we couldn't send it back. What a fantastic mistake. The flavors were so balanced and popped and the hot giardinera was not too hot and added such flavor to the pizza. Honestly this is one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The vibe is eclectic and cool. Music was rocking and they had a really unique and varied beer selection. I think about coming back to Door county and having this pizza again and again...

Wow this place is unbelievable… from the N/A options, pizza nights, mac n cheese nights and Jamaican Door making appearances... This guy, Randy, is all of us locals favorite person in Door County, he looks out for nearby small businesses and gives us a place to showcase and sell our food, art, clothing. Sergio's Mexican Street Food Truck is a hidden gem in Door County, offering a delectable selection of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and tortas made with fresh ingredients. Visitors rave about the juicy and flavorful steak and chicken tacos, served in homemade tortillas with fresh cilantro and delicious sauces. While currently not offering drinks on-site, patrons can enjoy margaritas at the nearby golf course clubhouse where the food truck is parked.
While visiting the park, my husband and I found Sergio's Mexican Street Food Truck. We decided to try it out and it did not disappoint! The steak and chicken tacos were both juicy and delicious. The lime helped give it a kick. The avocado sauce was perfect for the chicken. We would definitely go back! My only hope is they start offering some sort of drinks soon, too! Currently, they do not sell water, bottles drinks or made to order drinks. Would love to see this added!

On a girls’ trip to Door county, and 3 of the 5 of us were craving tacos. We found Sergio’s on Google, and got 2 tacos each. (We all wish we’d ordered more!) I had steak tacos with onion & cilantro. There were a large amount of juicy bite sized steak pieces, and the cilantro was vey fresh! The mild sauce was delicious as well! Sergio was friendly, & it took about 3 minutes from the time I ordered until I had 2 steaming hot tacos in homemade tortillas! Sergio’s is a hidden gem in Door County!

Best Mexican food north of Sturgeon Bay. I say that only because Mauricios in Sturg is top notch too. They should have a food truck burrito battle.

Sergio’s has the BEST tacos!! We were in Door County craving tacos and our Google search led us to Sergio. He was super friendly. The food was amazing and we were able to get margaritas at the golf course clubhouse where he’s parked. They were so welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend!

Sergio’s took an extra effort to make a vegetarian burrito for me at Northern Sky tonight—it was delicious, especially with their yummy sauce.

Children's cafe
On a drizzly morning, I stumbled upon the charming Rad House Cafe, and it was an absolute delight! The cozy atmosphere paired with delicious food and drinks made for a perfect start to my day. They even offer kid-friendly beverages that kept my little ones entertained. My 4-year-old and 19-month-old had a blast exploring the array of toys available, some of which can be purchased right there in the cafe's store.
We visited the cafe for the first time on a rainy morning. Super cute space and tasty food and drinks (and even kid-friendly drinks). My two kids (4yo and 19 months) were entertained by all the toys and you can even purchase the toys from the store. Loved the little back patio area with even more toys, too. The cafe is attached to their store with cute and trendy clothes for kids and adults. Definitely adding to our list of things to do while in DC.

Czarnuszka Soup Bar is a charming eatery with a simple yet delightful menu. The chef's expertise shines through in the perfectly balanced flavors of each dish, showcasing a mastery of herbs and spices. The name "Czarnuszka" has an endearing backstory that you can learn about from the owner when it's not too busy. Despite its hidden location, this spot attracts many visitors who appreciate its great food and welcoming atmosphere.
The soups here are made to order each day so call to check! The chef owner makes everything from scratch and treats his soups like a work of art. I love this place. It is rather tight on seating but they seem to manage to fit everyone in.

So glad we found this spot today! Soup is amazing, spiced carrot & ginger, and spike pea & ham were our favorites! We definitely will be back next time we are in Door Co.!

Wonderful place. Simple menu yet has delicious options for every requirement. Has gluten free and vegetarian options, which is not easy to find! Cute name of the place stands for black cumin in Polish. Will come back for sure!

Rich content in simple form. Small menu yet amazingly delicious! You can tell the chef loves to cook, and knows just the right amounts of herbs and spices to use not to overpower the dish, but to add distinctiveness to the way it tastes. The name of the place comes from a cute story, of learning from the elders. Ask the owner about it if it's not busy. The place, even though it's hidden has a lot of visitors. I will always stop by whenever I'm in the area. The place is a little tricky to find, so please don't lose your patience looking for it. I absolutely love places like that where the owner is the chef!

Nice little soup bar tucked away off of the main road in a local style strip of shops. I went in a little peckish, there was a chalkboard with roughly 6 different soups on it there were three size options I ordered the smallest which was the size of a coffee cup and it came with a slice of bread it was the perfect size. There is enough seating indoors for about 10 people and then some outdoor patio seating for about 10 more. There is a cooler with some refreshment options of soda and juice. Czarnuszkas has a nice feel to it with the walls adorned with random 90's band stickers and of establishments of around wisconsin. Whether looking for a snack or a meal you will leave here satisfied!

NOT IN FISH CREEK AS GOOGLE SAYS. IN EPHRAIM!! (See pics) Two tables, 4 seats each. Two counter seats. Lots more room to sit outside. Good soup. Changes daily. CLOSED WEDNESDAYS. OPEN 11-5. Enjoyed soup. Will go back!

We've been twice now. Great food, cute place, friendly and helpful staff. Everything we've tried so far has been delicious. Nice variety of cold drinks. It's got all you need for a perfect lunch. My wife and daughter love it too. Looking forward to the next visit!

Both of our soups were absolutely delicious. Good selection of canned and bottled drinks. They always have 4 soups and 2 sandwiches which is plenty because it's still hard to decide. Great for omnivores, herbivores, and GF folk. The space is so welcoming and cozy.
