The award-winning Old Post Office Restaurant offers delicious down home cooking in a unique historic building. This restaurant is known for its delicious breakfast menu as well as its outdoor kettle fish boils.
We have been to Door County twice now. The fish boil at the Old Post Office was on our 'must repeat' list. We (2 adults and a teen) enjoyed the pre-meal excitement of watching the food being cooked outside in the kettle over the fire. The fireball is always exciting! The food includes 2 significant fish steaks, potatoes, onions, cole slaw, and 3 kinds of fresh bread... with lots of melted butter. There is homemade cherry pie for dessert. (A la mode costs extra). Our server was pleasant. We appreciated that she de-boned the fish for us. All in all, a fantastic and very filling dining experience.

The Old Post Office fish boil is a must-do for us every time we’re in Door County. Watching the boil-over is always such a fun tradition, and the staff make the experience special by explaining the process. The whitefish is fresh and delicious, with hearty sides of potatoes, onions, and bread. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere make it a classic we always look forward to.

Delicious breakfast spot with a dog friendly patio. The views are so nice from the outdoor seating area. The pancakes were incredibly fluffy and delicious. The classic eggs, sausage and sourdough toast were all very fresh and tasty as well. Highly recommend to start your day here.

A must-do dining experience! My visit to The Old Post Office Restaurant - Fish boil was absolutely fantastic. The entire experience felt so unique—it was much more than just a meal. Watching the fish boil while hearing the history behind it was both entertaining and informative. And the food itself was incredible. The fish was as fresh and delicious as it gets, don't forget to add the table spice and butter. I'm still dreaming about the cherry pie. It was the perfect ending to a memorable meal. I can't wait to go back and do it all over again. If you're looking for a great meal and a fun experience, this is the place!

We visited The Old Post Office Restaurant with a bus tour of 45 people and the staff ran this place like a well oiled machine!! We loved the experience of an authentic fish boil. The boil master was entertaining and the food was delicious!
Wendy B — Google review
One of my favorite restaurants in the whole peninsula. They provide a great history lesson when cooking about 30 minutes before dinner. They have great seating inside and outside. The workers are all very friendly and provide attentive service. We went there for breakfast and dinner in one day because we enjoyed it so much!
Maddi ( — Google review
We had a wonderful experience at the traditional fish boil! It was both fun and informative to watch the boil take place before being seated at our assigned table. The servers were efficient and even de-boned the fish right in front of us, which was a nice touch. I also appreciated that there were a couple of alternative options available for those who don’t eat fish. The meal itself was delicious—especially with the vessel of melted butter to pour over the fish, potatoes, and onion. The cherry pie at the end was the perfect sweet finish. The setting made the evening even more special, as we enjoyed a beautiful sunset view over the lake from our table. Another highlight was that our dog was welcome, which made the outing even better. Overall, a great experience combining tradition, great food, and a scenic atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The fish boil is amazing! Fresh white fish caught locally. Prepared in a fun informative demonstration. Wait staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The meal is delicious! And it's a great value.

Wilson's Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor is a vintage soda fountain and eatery that has been a beloved spot in Ephraim since 1906. It offers a nostalgic experience with its old-fashioned soda fountain, jukebox music, and classic sundaes. The menu features flame-broiled burgers, an array of ice cream flavors, and even options for kids.
The entire experience was delightful! Service was good, they have a decently sized menu, and their ice cream is the star of the show. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area! Be aware that the ice cream portion sizes are huge, so save room! We each got our own scoops but easily could’ve shared.

8/21/25 - The ice cream treats are fantastic!! The food itself is average, but service is friendly and attentive. Definitely an ice cream shop first and foremost, lots of flavors and a variety of treats to choose from. We had root beer freeze's this time and they were absolutely delicious. We always stop here when we come to Door County and it's always busy, but worth it. Hard to find parking too, but worth it. Inside and outside seating. Close to the water and nice views.
Thor D — Google review
The cutest little diner! Had the most hot and delicious reuben. I’m not a big root beer fan, but Wilson’s root beer was the best I’ve ever had. It tasted like a root beer float! We got an applesauce for our baby and I think we ended up liking it more than her. Best applesauce I’ve ever had 😅
Natalie T — Google review
Honestly the highlight of our door county trip and an absolute must-go for anyone in the area. With an extensive, classic menu, it would be hard to go wrong with choosing Wilson’s for a meal. Everything we had was fantastic (both the food and ice cream drinks), the service was great, and the food came out fast. I especially appreciated the multi-functionality of the menus, and the history of the restaurant on the reverse side. Clearly a staple for a century and a quarter.
Raegan G — Google review
The food is ok here. We got lucky and beat the rush and wait for a table. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress was very nice. Food prices are decent. A lot of people come here for the ice cream. Very nice atmosphere, even a jukebox. I would come back here again. The hours seem fluctuating, and ice cream is open longer than the kitchen for about a hour I believe. The ice cream is expensive, but when we tried to go back to get some in the middle of the day it was closed

Coney dog with cheese and French fries is bland and a waste of money. Fries come with the coney but they are coated with coney sauce that only taste like a cooked bland bean; so the fries were inedible for me and cold too. The root beer is average for homemade. I’m a sprecher lover. Also patio full of bees; which is ironic since they added screens to help decrease the bees per the history menu. Weirdly , no dogs allowed on the outdoor patio! Also NOT BABY STROLLER FRIENDLY inside or outside. Unfortunately as first times we were shouted at soon as we entered the door of the diner with our sleeping infant in the Donna Stroller ( it’s a car seat with wheels attached and can be converted to stroller). No sign on the door about it and no hostess outside to inform us either. They were very rude about it even when he collapsed it down into a car seat they said we couldn’t have it inside. So we attempted to go to the patio and they yelled at us to go back out the front because it was a service area to the side door; if it was a service area they didn’t mind people going in and out of it to get to other booths, outdoors, or to the restrooms. Then once on the patio the waitress started to inform us of the no strollers on the patio rule when the woman from inside come out yelling about how we needed to put our infant in a high chair. We should have just left but I love old dinners. My husband didn’t order food since he was upset that we had to take our sleeping baby out of the car seat and take it back to the car. When he returned she was of course still sleepy and upset and she wasn’t her typical easy going self. The root beer was good but the bees were an issue so I used napkins and a hair tie to try and help. Then the coney came and it was so deflating as it tasted like a plain baked bean. No flavor. So due to the hospitality and then over priced bland hot dog we skipped the ice cream that was $$$ pricey. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with young children or dogs. Maybe they have something else good. Our waitress was kind and tried to apologize and thanked us for understanding and cooperating with the stroller/car seat rule. You could tell she knew how rude the woman was from inside the store to us. It felt like she was chasing after us to be sure we weren’t served with a baby car seat. We also ate at 3pm on a weekday so it wasn’t crowded and the car seat fits under the table with its wheels like a chair. It’s. Ery compact which we love. We do recommend the Ice Cream Factory as a better alternative to a long time running diner with ice cream. Also they have plastic straws which was odd for being on the lake; so not environmentally conscious. Also the napkins are in a cute dispenser but you end up with so many trying to pull them out.

Perfect 10. So cute, so fun, so busy. We'll worth the wait. I could hang out here for hours just photographing the malts and ice cream treats. So pretty. Im not 100% sold on the food but who cares because let's face it. Your there for dessert. Staff is also very professional and friendly.

First time to Wilson's and the turtle sundae was delicious! Love the number system. No room at the picnic tables outside, so we walked across the street. (We found a $1.00 off coupon on an advertisement in a travel brochure stand at The Orchards Golf Course.)

American restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in a charming cottage with a picturesque outdoor patio overlooking the lake, Chef's Hat Cafe offers traditional American entrees and a relaxing dining experience. This quaint eatery, located near the waterfront and Peninsula State Park, serves up a variety of breakfast options including egg scrambles, wraps, waffles, French toast, avocado toast, and fresh fruit bowls. Known for its top-notch service and quality ingredients sourced locally, this cafe is open from 8 am to 9 pm every day.
Dropped in for lunch and had an amazing lunch. We searched for restaurants with plant based options and found this spot and they totally lived up to the description. I ordered the Veggie Wrap and my wife had then Asparagus Quesadilla. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and the food showed up pretty quickly. Mu Veggie Wrap came wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla and was full of fresh veggies mixed greens, artichokes, red onion, tomato, shiitake, crimini, & oyster, red bell peppers, broccoli with fresh guacamole & creamy dill dressing. The guacamole and dill dressing gave it a really nice flavor. My wife was happy with her Asparagus Quesadilla, it was full of flame roasted peppers, onions, tomatoes, asparagus, corn, black beans, wild rice, farmers cheese & spinach. It came with salsa & sour cream and she add guacamole. The server was very polite and service was quick. The restaurant sits on the shores of Ephraim harbor, perfect location for a meal or drinks.

Very friendly, sincere, and attentive waitress. The food was good, especially the pie. My wife thought the bread on her sandwich was a little dry (may have been the type of bread), but everything else was excellent.

Very relaxed, casual vibes. Food and service was impeccable. Chef's Hat offers many options - including many gluten free options! All staff and service members were welcoming, kind, and accommodating. We relaxed on their patio with a wonderful meal... the door county way!

Go Here! And bring your dog! Seating will bring outside if you want your dog to join you and the staff and patrons are so sweet to them! Mine was given his very own bowl of water and of course, I shared my brisket sandwich with him. There's a very nice menu, and it has a lot of variety. The staff is over the top amazing! They gave me some nice suggestions about where to go next and take in the sites. The food preparation was on point, and everything was scrumptious. I actually cleaned up my whole plate, which is a rare occurrence. Parking is a little tight, especially if you have a truck, but it's doable if you scan the block a few times and you'll find a place. Overall, a very, very, very good experience, and absolutely will return.

Nice alfredo dish with added chicken. The rosemary bread is out of this world. Presentation is immaculate. Its an art piece. Tomato basil soup among the best we’ve had. A bit overpriced but worth it. And there’s pie! Great view and friendly staff.

This place is so cute!! My husband and I first came here 12 years ago on our honeymoon, and loved it, and we have made a point to go back every time we go up to The Door. We were a little disappointed to find out they no longer serve breakfast other than Saturday and Sunday and that’s if you get there before 11AM. So when we got there close to noon and were told they weren’t serving breakfast I was disappointed, mainly because I love their scones, specifically their raspberry white chocolate scone, but after telling my server how much I loved their scones she went back and found one for me. That alone tells you about the service of this place, they go above and beyond for their guests. I ended up getting their Turkey BLT sandwich which was sooo good! Loved the honey mustard it was paired with, made every bite an enjoyment. My husband got a burger that he thought was just “okay”. The soup was also just okay, but that was a personal preference. The service alone makes up for any of the food and the cherry pie was really good! Check out the Chefs Hat!! Great views of the bay, warm cozy atmosphere, top notch service! You won’t be disappointed!

Honestly if I could give this experience a 0 I would. Stopped here to eat for lunch about 1 month ago. Informed the server I was gluten free. Ordered apps and then our meals. When receiving my meal they had normal bread on the side of my plate. Informed the serve and he took his bare hands and started picking off the pieces on the side and said he would bring back gluten free bread. After being totally grossed out that he had his hands in my salad noticed that I had very moldy raspberries as well in it. When he came back with the right bread, I informed him of the raspberries. He then again put his bare hands into my salad picking off the raspberries and told me he would get new ones. After this I had just asked for completely new salad. No apology or any type of compensation. My husband then ordered a coffee to go as we were driving back home. Didn’t offer to even put the coffee on the house. I was so upset that we had not even received an apology from our server to now stick his hands into my food but seemly pretty careless about me being gluten free as well. I called after and the manager was very nice and apologetic. Stated he would send something in the mail for this and the server should know better. Now we are a month later and I have followed up twice now and have received nothing. After being told twice now that something was coming and another time that I would be called back. I do not recommend coming here as our bill was $100 for a more than terrible experience. I never write reviews and tried to be extremely patient with staff. This is very poor costumer service and if you are gluten free please be aware of this.

Great lunch stop, excellent food. Potato salad was well seasoned and tasty with egg, celery, etc. Turkey BLT was perfect, moist and well balanced between meat and toppings.

Nestled in Sister Bay, Door County Creamery is a delightful cafe and cheese shop that offers artisanal cheeses, sandwiches, and goat farm tours with tastings. The retail outlet of a local goat farm, it boasts an array of exquisite cheeses made from goat milk. Visitors can sample the delectable cheeses at the counter or opt for a generous Cheese and Charcuterie Board featuring an assortment of savory delights.
The hot honey sandwich is THE perfect sandwich. The bread is crunchy and soft, the cheese is gooey and all over. It has a touch of heat with sweet and salty mixed in. I will think about it forever. Highly recommend! Turkey and Brie was also great if you want something a little more lowkey. Very nice patio that is dog friendly as well.

This place is packed, we didn't end up getting the coffee I wanted to get because it just basic coffee. They do have ice cream but the line was long and didn't want to wait. Prices seemed high. We were going to get food, but again it was very busy. Ended up going next door for coffee, which was great.
Sandra — Google review
Honestly. The hot Sammy was the best sandwich I’ve had in my entire life. Warm meats with perfectly baked bread. I was shocked how good the food was. A bit pricier but you absolutely get what you pay for. Outstanding..

The best lunch spot in sister bay! Dine outside or take your food to go and picnic by the water! This place is so effortlessly cool. Love the bLT and my kids love the pizza rolls! We make sure we stop in for gelato at least once every time we’re in town. Also, the owners were featured on Wisconsin public television a few years ago. Make sure you check it out!

Delicious sandwich, soup and cookie! The turkey and Brie is magnificent! I could only eat half because it was so big, but excited to finish it late. The tomato basil soup was fabulous and the cookie was the best way to finish! The staff was so friendly and the cooks are polite and handsome.

This place is insanely good. It is a little pricey but you really get what you pay for. I think I’m truly going to dream about the turkey and Brie. Will definitely be going back next time we visit door county!
Emily Y — Google review
I didn’t walk into Door County Creamery with low expectations—quite the opposite. The place had a constant stream of people coming and going, which immediately told me it was somewhere worth checking out. After seeing the line move quickly and watching how many people left smiling, I figured there had to be a reason. I decided to try their coffee-flavored ice cream, and it was absolutely fantastic. The flavor was deep and authentic, with that perfect balance of roasted coffee taste and creamy sweetness. It wasn’t artificial or overly sugary—just smooth, rich, and perfectly crafted. Every bite felt like it was made with care and quality ingredients. The atmosphere inside was welcoming and upbeat. Even with how busy it was, the staff handled everything efficiently and with a smile. The shop was clean, inviting, and had that unmistakable Door County charm. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations and left a lasting impression. I’d go back in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone looking for great ice cream and a genuinely enjoyable experience in Door County.

Restaurant
Good Eggs is a charming eatery located in Ephraim, offering omelet wraps, coffee, and smoothies with scenic water views. The small building has outdoor seating with surfboards and various spots to sit around the building. It's conveniently located next door to Bay Breeze Resort and offers grab-and-go meals through their iPhone app or online ordering. The cozy shack catches the eye with its cheerful sign and is situated near Door County Confectionery's Ephraim location.
The breakfast burritos are amazing and worth the wait but be prepared because you may have to wait; we waited nearly an hour for ours and some folks got lucky and walked up while they were starting a new batch and had no wait at all. The service is slow with only one person cooking and one flat top which means they can only make 6-8 at a time. They keep it fun and entertaining though with the stories and jokes and you get to enjoy the cooking process which makes it go by faster and is more fun! Don’t let the menu fool you either as they have many add in options that range from spinach, different kinds of cheese and salsa and hot sauce!
Kelsey — Google review
This is somewhere that we have driven past for years but never stopped at. We tried it for the first time this trip. They have a limited menu which is fine. They have strawberry banana smoothies which the kids enjoyed. I’m allergic to strawberries so I can’t attest to the taste. We also got scones which were good. They have three different omelette options. Basic, super (not sure if that’s what the middle one is called) and deluxe. Deluxe has meat and veggies which is what I got. You get to pick all of the things that go into your burrito including the wrap. They explain things very well to you when you’re there. I think the deluxe was around $16. All in all pretty good.
Christine S — Google review
Was welcomed in by the owner on a cold morning. We liked that this was made in front of us, it was a collaborative food experience. The burritos warmed our souls and stomachs, the coffee as well! It took a long time to get an order in, so we recommend making an online pickup, though you may miss some witty banter from the owner. All in all, great spot to stop to fuel up for a long hike or day out on the Peninsula.

Inconspicuous, BUT honestly the BEST place for a breakfast burrito and some of the best tasting food in Door County. This was my second time here and it met my superb expectations from last time. We will definitely be back! And Teddy was a great host/cook, thanks Teddy!

We had the best breakfast burritos in here , but even better than the burrito was the service provided by Teddi. He was extremly profesional and friendly and he answered all my questions and than he coked the burrito in front of me. I will definetly go back and i really hope Teddi will make me another burrito.

The best breakfast experience in door county! Everyone inside was friendly. It put a smile on my face just being in the restraunt. We put an order in for Burritos and we're eating them within 10 min. Best Breakfast Burrito I have ever had! Will make this a new door county tradition!

Second time at Good Eggs. Excellent service and a fantastic breakfast burrito. The owner is the nicest guy who took time with each guest. I can see how a wait could accrue, however, we had zero wait. I had the standard burrito and added all the veggies. So good! Husband had the basic and loved it. Portions were large, pricing more than fair. Will definitely be back each time we visit DC. Highly recommend!!

Wine bar
Trixie's in Ephraim, near Sister Bay, is a bright and relaxed venue known for its locally sourced, seasonal fare and an impressive selection of natural wines and craft beers. The restaurant offers innovative food with dishes like whitefish served with roasted mission figs, celeriac, and lemon, as well as delicate house-made pastas. The knowledgeable staff are happy to answer questions about the wine selection.
This place is the best restaurant in Door County! We’ve visited twice now, and always received top notch, friendly staff and amazing food. When you’re in town or live locally, this is one place you really need to go to hands down. Everyone needs to experience the food they’re putting out. We’ve personally met the chef Cooper, and Em. Owen from the front of the house, and Kayla the bartender. Everyone was very personable, and does an outstanding job. This place is a staple for our Door County visits! We love the atmosphere and diverse, creative dishes.
Kelsey M — Google review
What a Great LITTLE find. Very small dinning room. Nice wine bar, eclectic menu, VERY well done. Trixie's does not take reservations so you just go early and stand in line to see if you get in for the 1st seating. If you don't make the cut don't worry, get on the list and go have a glass of wine down the street they will text you when your table is ready. Atmosphere, service and food is great.
Dan H — Google review
Dinning at Trixie’s has far exceeded our expectations. First of all, the food is exceptional. Definitely, the best in all of Door County. Although everything was great, I highly recommend the Chicken confit 🤤. I want to also recognize the amazing service we received from the front and the back of the house. Kayla, our bartender/server was very knowledgeable, hospitable, and took great care of us. Also, Cooper and Em from the kitchen staff worked so cohesively together, creating perfectly balanced, delicious dishes, but also being super friendly and hospitable (working in such a small place!) My Fiancé and I have been to Michelin Starred restaurants all over the world, and I truly believe this gem deserves a star based on the food and service we received. It’s a small restaurant with limited seating, so I highly recommend going early. We got there around 6:30, and was one of the last reservations put on the list for the night because of the high demand. It was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to return!
Logan M — Google review
This was our second time coming here, and each time we are blown away at the food and service. Food is creative, yet simple. They also have a small patio out front to enjoy a beautiful Door County evening. The restaurant fills up quickly, and does not take reservations, but it is without question worth the wait!

A Door County delight in Ephraim. We shared the saganaki, green gazpacho, battered green onions, couscous, and the pasta of the day which was a ricotta gnocchi with fennel sausage crumble. The tempura battered green onions were my favourite of the meal. Perfectly crisp and seasoned and a hefty portion; incredible. Small plates and impressively researched and sourced wines make for a wonderful experience. They don’t take reservations so it’s vital to arrive well before opening if you wish to dine in the first seating at 5 pm as we did.
Stephanie L — Google review
Everything was amazing! I definitely recommend the poutine crusted mushrooms and the Braised Short Rib. They also had complimentary bread (with oil) which is always amazing! Definitely recommend it!

Food was amazing. My wife and I had the Citrus and Bitters Salad, Gnocci De Jour, Whitefish Fettuccine, and Mushrooms. Bridgette, our server was great. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Wickman and Trixies are must stops to anyone visiting DoCo.

Outrageous! Such an incredibly delicious meal. Gillian, our server, was positively amazing - so attentive, informative and kind. This was our first time here, but based on this experience, it’s already become a favorite. For best seating, arrive about 4:15 or 4:30, enjoy a drink at one of the neighboring businesses, and keep an eye on the front door. When you see a line beginning to form, head on over and your almost guaranteed a place for the 5:00 seating. Otherwise, you’ll be added to a wait list for the 6:30 or 8:00 seatings. Prince of Pierogi Restaurant is a charming spot that offers a wide range of savory and sweet pierogi, stuffed cabbage rolls, hunters stew, and smoked kielbasa dogs. The menu also includes vegan and gluten-free options to cater to different dietary preferences. Visitors can pair their meals with authentic Polish or domestic beer and wine for a complete dining experience. The restaurant has gained popularity for its delicious homemade comfort food, reminiscent of traditional Polish cuisine.
We recently visited this delightful Polish restaurant and were thoroughly impressed! The food was exceptional; we particularly loved the variety of pierogi, each bursting with flavor. The service was attentive, and I would especially like to mention a young lady named Yasya. (If I heard her name incorrectly, I apologize). Despite the large number of guests, she took great care of us and made us feel welcome. If you're in the area, don't miss this place! Our family can't wait to come back for more delicious food.

Loved it! We have been excited to try Prince of Pierogi in Ephraim since it opened and we were very pleased! Got cherry pierogis, sauerkraut and potato pierogis, kielbasa, and cabbage rolls. Excellent service, nice seating area outside. Flavorful food just like my Grandma used to make❤️ Can't wait to try the new spot in Sturgeon Bay! Highly recommend! Also-- kudos on the sustainable/recyclable take out containers!!! Would be great if we saw more of that and no more styrofoam!!

Excellent food! Authentic Polish food is hard to find, but this restaurant is a gem! Had a chance to speak with the owner about other Polish restaurants from our local area - it was nice to speak with someone who knew of them. The food was very good and the service was exceptional. This will be a regular stop for us when we’re up here!

Wow, lucky shot! On my way back to Green Bay from Door Bluff Park after a hike, I met a wonderful couple who told me about this place. I could not resist stopping by and trying Polish food Simple but very tasty, I have no regrets. Polish pierogi with pork and hunter's stew was my choice, and it was delicious! See you next time!

Cute little place! Excellent service and the food is delicious! We choose to go with the fan favourites of cheese and potato with caramelised onion on top. Would recommend!

Loved this place! It came up when I googled “affordable places to eat in door county.” Because honestly there are so many overly expensive restaurants with mediocre reviews and I’m not willing to pay $50 for a dinner that’s bland (cough cough, egg harbor). I have never had polish food before, but I gave them a shot! I tried the platter (which was a sampling of 4 of their foods). I liked the pierogi and cabbage rolls best! Ate those right away and I would return for more! They are located right next to Lake Michigan in a cute little area with lots of small businesses. I also liked the kielbasa sausage, even though I am not a fan of sausage usually. I took the stew home with me for leftovers. I ate it with some bread I had at home and it was Delicious. On to the staff, the owner and cashier were very friendly and helpful. The cashier brought me napkins and even free bread to go with the stew! Definitely recommend trying it with the bread! They definitely all had the door county charm :) probably about to go back for cabbage rolls and pierogi! I wish we had a polish place back home, it is great comfort food! $20 for 2 meals is an amazing value!

Visitors have praised the delicious menu items such as toast with hot chocolate, potato pancakes with strawberry lemonade, and crab cake eggs Benedict with exceptional hollandaise sauce.
We have been to SIP for breakfast and lunch, and just recently enjoyed dinner. Steak Crostini and Shrimp Tacos were both delicious! It was my daughter’s birthday, and they made her feel so special! They took our photo, brought her a surprise chocolate cake, and a present!! We love the modern Swedish vibe and had so much fun!

We had excellent drinks before our meal, the 🍒 mule is delicious and refreshing. Everybody in our party ordered different meals and we all enjoyed what we had for dinner. I had pulled pork nachos, so good. We sat out back and it was so peaceful. Don't forget to head upstairs for some shopping!! The bathroom is really unique as well.

Great place for breakfast! The blueberry brioche French toast and sausage gravy and biscuits with a beautiful fried egg were divine! No table service but they do bring food items to the table! Many small nooks and crannies to sit, very quaint! Lots of color!!

This place has a really cool look to it and a nice Upstairs Downstairs area and fine dining as well as a coffee shop. The smells of the food made me wish I had ordered a meal there but I had other plans. It was a great place to sit and have a cup of coffee. The staff were friendly and the place was hoppin'

A really pleasant time. I ordered the espresso martini—it was good, but I wish it had a bit more of that bold espresso flavor and a thicker texture. Still enjoyable, just a little on the light side for my taste. The outdoor seating was lovely, with a peaceful vibe that made it easy to relax and take in the atmosphere. Our server, Samira, was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome right away. I also loved the little details—like the cute plates they served everything on. Inside, there's a really charming retail section with fun kitchen items, gifts, and even card games. It made the place feel like more than just a café—it felt like somewhere you could spend time browsing and enjoying the whole experience.

Great place to stop for coffee, breakfast, or lunch/dinner in Ephraim. The interiors are extremely vibrant, and colourful, which adds to the entire ambience of the place. The menu is good, with a few options for vegetarians. Great selection of coffee, and a cute souvenir shop upstairs. There's also outdoor seating, and plenty of parking available.

Wow-wow-wow. The chai scone and blueberry scone are both “must-haves” (unique, flaky with crisp edges) AND do not miss the “cucumber schmear” on focaccia bread. It’s more delicious than we could describe. A few tables in front, a charming courtyard in back with tables and indoor seating at the adjoining bar. Charming staff. Talented barista. Coffee roasting on site.

The coffee here is exceptional. We ordered two cappuccinos and a blueberry scone, and were thoroughly impressed. The coffee was freshly brewed with meticulous care—the barista precisely measured and leveled the grounds before tamping, demonstrating a level of craftsmanship that’s all too rare. As for the scone—simply divine. One could easily build an entire business around it. Perfectly balanced in sweetness, it boasted a delightfully crisp exterior with a tender, fluffy interior. The blueberry jam crowning it was evidently homemade, reminiscent of something a skilled grandmother might prepare with love and patience. A true hidden gem—charming, understated, and of exceptional quality

Anatolia Cuisine DC offers a taste of the Mediterranean in Ephraim, with a menu featuring savory kebabs, seafood delicacies, and fresh falafel sandwiches. The cozy establishment provides a charming atmosphere for enjoying authentic and flavorful dishes, such as stuffed dolma and lamb kebab. Guests rave about the high-quality, fresh food and recommend trying the delicious desserts.
Found this charming little Mediterranean restaurant tucked in the back located just off the Main Street where there was lots of parking available. We were treated so kindly by the owner, Makhter, who took time to explain the dishes, answered our questions, and even tailored a dish to our preference. The taste of the ground lamb kebabs was perfect and the platters were generous portions served with a fresh and tasty Mediterranean salad. The Turkish tea was outstanding and flavorful. Seating is indoors or outdoors. Open every day of the week. Great option for wonderful food and service!

Delicious food! Some of the best flavoring and seasoning in door county. Very friendly service as well. The red blend wine great selection as well. Food tasted fresh and seasoned to perfection!
Erin C — Google review
The food here is still incredible, just like last year. The lamb kebab was incredibly tender and juicy, bursting with flavor. The salad was crisp, fresh, and delicious. The rice and chickpeas were perfectly cooked, and the pitas were warm and soft. However, this year, the restaurant was very busy, and the service was a bit slow. Despite that, they managed to get our food out before we got too hungry. Everything was served hot and delicious. Incredible food! Imagine a food truck with a small interior and a small outdoor dining area. The flavors were amazing, and the food was perfectly cooked to order. However, I would advise against ordering the baklava. It’s overpriced and lacks the necessary pastry and a substantial amount of dessert.

Sunset Harbor Grill is a classic Ephraim establishment that offers American comfort food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant provides fresh and well-prepared meals with stunning views of Ephraim's harbor on the bay of Green Bay.
My husband, daughter and I stopped in here on our way up to Gillis Rock. We had never eaten here before and thought we would try it. We are so happy that we did. The service was perfect (the owner was also our waiter and was very friendly and on spot with drink refills, special orders, etc). We each ordered a different meal and each of our meals was fresh and delicious. The spinach dip with small warm round bread slices was homemade and both were cooked to perfection. The chips are not hard and burnt like a lot of other places. No complaints from any of us, everything was great. We will definitely be back whenever we visit Door County, and definitely will recommend this restaurant to friends and family as well!

An interesting dining experience. Food was plated very nicely, while silverware is handed out wrapped in a papernapkin and napkin ring. The servers have black collared shirts but also sportshorts and basketball tennies. You are greeted on entry by a hostess and then promptly encouraged to seat yourselves. The place seems trapped somewhere between fine dining and bar & grill. The service was very friendly and very quick, which would be expected when you are sitting 5 feet away from the host station. The food was delicious, well prepared, and came out very quickly. My wife had chicken Alfredo, and I had the "Cajun" shrimp alfredo. I put Cajun in quotes because it slightly missed the mark. A small trace of red onion was the only hint at any part of the holy trinity touching this recipe, and a few thin sliced Andoulli suasages were their to help pay lipservice to "Cajun" cuisine. Some old bay seasoning or even just a touch of celery salt and a dash of crystal hotsauce could have gone a long way to spice up the dish, but as it was, it was a mildly seasoned creamy shrimp alfredo. This is probably nit-picky, but it was a $30 plate of pasta after all. My biggest issue was honestly the price. $30 for pasta just seems exorbitant. What my wife and I received were very delicious, $15 plates of pasta from a $15 a plate level dining experience, and no clue where the extra $20 upcharge was coming from. I am not saying anything was bad, it just wasn't up to the standard it's priced at. The bones are there for this place to be a very nice upscale dining experience worth $30 a plate, but Im not sure it wants to be. It is, after all, a "Grill".

Wonderful place to heat with a great view of the water. Located on the second floor of Ephraim Shores Resort makes it convenient to walk to. Food is consistently delicious and I swear they have the best pancakes around. Today I had the veggie omelet and my mom poached eggs. She is fussy and said they were cooked to perfection.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and we were greeted right away by one of the staff members. Very friendly. Sat us right at a table looking out to the lake. Service was excellent. We ordered the calamari, which was so delicious. I ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta, again, so delicious. The moscato they serve there was the best. My boyfriend ordered the Rueben sandwich, he said it tasted really good too. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is staying in door county. 👍👍👍

American restaurant
Wild Tomato Wood-Fired Pizza & Grille Fish Creek is a popular family-friendly restaurant known for its delicious wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, and burgers made from locally sourced ingredients. The pizzeria takes pride in using organic produce, locally raised meats, and cheeses from nearby farms to create their signature hand-tossed pizzas with a distinct smoky flavor from the wood-fired oven.
Great place to grab a salad and some pizza or other Italian foods. We ended up sharing a large pizza between the 3 of us with a family sized salad and everything was delicious with enough food for everyone in our party, every thing was very good and I think the only complaint was it would be nice to have a bit more cheese in the salad which is very trivial, I would definitely go back in the future!! Also keep in mind if you're heading here it gets very busy later in the day so getting there early or parking out back of the shop are your two best options as it really can fill up tight.
David V — Google review
We had a great time here! Delicious food—probably the best pizza in Door County. The fun guy (mushroom) pizza was excellent. The green & gold pizza was also yummy. The cheese curds weren’t as gooey as I prefer, but the batter was great, and they definitely squeaked! The ranch could be better, but it was still good. We were seated outside (soonest available), and the area could definitely used some fans to cool it down and keep bugs away. It was a hot day, and there was a 30-min wait, but it was overall worth the wait!
Inez Y — Google review
Great spot for wood-fired pizza! We sat outside on the dog-friendly patio and loved the atmosphere. The pizza sauce was so good we ended up buying some jars for home. We ordered the D-Lux pizza, which really hit the spot—the house-made sausage on it was especially delicious. Highly recommend if you’re craving great pizza and a relaxed setting.
Donita M — Google review
The pizza was perfect, per usual! I highly recommend the hot honey za, it was a fan favorite in our group! The family style caesar salad was enough to feed a party, and there were only six of us. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t great. The majority of employees seemed to be teenagers and there seemed to be a lack of management. Our waitress took a long time to greet us, didn’t check in while we were eating to see how the food was, etc. Yet the food outweighed the lack of service in the end. Hopefully it was just an off night for the staff. We would happily visit again!

Rebecca G — Google review
It pains me to write this but I do this constructive criticism out of love and hope that the new owners will take the feedback to heart and improve the quality of the Door County institution they have taken over and degraded. I have been coming to WT for many many years, I know exactly how its supposed to taste and after a trip last fall and again over the weekend, its clear this is not the same quality of pizza anymore. I’ll share pics, the first is recent and the second two from 2-3 years ago and while they look similar you can tell the previous are far superior. I went to the Fish Creek location on Sunday and ordered a Margherita, it came out way too fast, like 10 minutes and was barely warm. It had to be just sitting under a heat lamp. The sauce was skimpy and flavorless, the dough was mixed poorly, had too much flour left and was just cardboardy, the cheese did not have any flavor and neither did the basil, there was no sea salt sprinkled on. Just heartbreaking. I used to buy an extra pizza on my way out of town to bring back home. On my next trip I cant see myself going there again. Please undo whatever changes you have made to increase the profit margin. I’m sure its fine for Illinois tourists, but for Wisconsin residents who have been coming for years, we have noticed and won’t be returning until you go back to high quality ingredients.
Paul H — Google review
If the cheese curds were a bit less salty, this would be the hands down my best one I’ve tried. So crunchy and bit. One of the pizzas come out not cut all the way. Cherry and walnut salad was so good. The garlic bread in my appetizer came out a bit burnt. Coke felt watery. Men’s bathroom is very small.

The Summer Kitchen serves American fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with an emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients. The family restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with great service. The fried fish was okay but the white fish baked was not at all good in taste. However, the soup was delicious.

Very nice little place in Door county. Food was very delicious, although some prices were slightly steep. The atmosphere was amazing, like eating breakfast at your grandma's. Cozy, quaint, and unique. Service was average, friendly servers with a slightly longer service time. Will be visiting here again and I would recommend it!

We stopped here for breakfast and everything was just wonderful. We ordered Skillet and farmer breakfast — perfectly cooked and so satisfying — but the real star of the meal were the Cherry Pancakes🍒🍒🍒. Honestly, they were unbelievable — worth the visit all on their own. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, with warm design details that make you want to stay longer. Just a beautiful place to start the day. Highly recommend!!!

The food is outstanding! We had the chicken salad, cabbage soup and cherry bread pudding and all were delicious! And the people who own it are wonderful too! They have decorated it so cute. Great flowers and very fun mosaics made with broken coffee cups. So pretty! We wish we had one of these in St. Louis.

The soup bar was $16.95 in 2020, now in 2025, it’s $26.95. Adding cherry ‘sangria’ (all ice & zero fruit), and 1/2 a chicken salad sandwich led to $70 per person for lunch. Such a bummer for a place I’ve loved since the 1980’s. Their chicken dumpling soup is excellent. We both got food poisoning that evening, probably from their chicken salad sandwich. (Unless it was a fish boil, coleslaw with the fish, lemonade, or ice cream- it’s hard to know the source for sure)
Heidi P — Google review
This restaurant is cute inside and outside. There is plenty of seating. The food was delicious, perfect serving size and lots of different food options. Pretty much every meal comes with a trip to the soup, bread and cracker station. There was I think 4 or 5 different homemade soups. I had the mushroom rice and it was delicious. I also, ordered the cashew chicken salad in a pita with fries which was also, delicious. We also, shared cheese curds. The service was great and our waitress was very attentive but not annoying. I definitely recommend stopping in.
RL K — Google review
To be honest, hard pass on this place for several reasons. Over priced food, average soups, and lackluster service. Plus they bill you $10 extra to share a meal. Went to Sip across the street our first two days in town, and tried this for Brunch for the 3rd, and we won’t be back. Photo is the lunch special dessert :/

Amazing wine selection, atmosphere, and staff! We had such a lovely night sitting out on the patio. What a special spot!

A great place to grab a snack and wine in Door County. My friends and I love coming here before or after dinner when we are visiting on the weekends. We have always found a place to sit on the beautiful patio. Service is great as they are interested in chatting with you about options. It’s always a must visit!

I was expecting more seating and closer to the water because of one of the pictures someone posted. We stayed for one glass because it was busy and we were sitting inside, patio seating looked nice. I was also expecting more local wine options. Overall it’s a charming, quaint place

If you are going to Door County put The Pearl Wine Cottage on the top of your list. It is a beautiful and intimate setting. It is a place to create memories with good company, great wine, and a menu that will delight everyone’s palate. The cake they serve is frosting for the evening.

I love this place. My wife likes wine, I like beer, they have a nice selection of both. If you're in Ephraim, make sure you stop here. It's a great place to get a drink before watching the sunset.

Monique and staff were some of the most kind, welcoming and amazing people I have ever met while traveling. The atmosphere and quality of wine and food are outstanding! I had the worse day yesterday and they went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. This is a must stop if you are in the area. The staff here have definitely set the standard for real amazing customer service. Thank you so much!

Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik is a rustic log-cabin eatery in Sister Bay, open since 1949. It offers traditional Swedish dishes like lutefisk and meatballs with lingonberry jam. The restaurant is known for its three-hour wait during peak times and even attracts crowds in the winter. A unique feature is the goats grazing on the grass roof, a tradition dating back to its founder's Swedish wife.
Al Johnson’s is a must-visit for our family whenever we’re in Door County. The iconic goats grazing on the sod roof are such a fun and unique sight! Inside, the Swedish-inspired décor and friendly staff create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. My personal favorite is the open-face sandwich, and all the traditional Swedish dishes are delicious. The only downside is the wait since they don’t take reservations, but it’s totally worth it!

The live goats 🐐 were on the grass roof ! Very popular restaurant for Swedish/American food. They have expanded over the years and today, we opted to enjoy lunch outside. It was such a warm, gorgeous day and enjoyed the outdoor patio. Tables with colorful yellow umbrellas provided us shade. Don't miss shopping at both boutiques. The one in the restaurant has beautiful Swedish gifts, clothing, Al Johnsons labeled food products ect.. The other new store has beautiful imported gifts and more.

Fantastic experience! We love everything about it. The food is excellent and the servers are very professional and friendly. Shocked at how quickly the food came out. The ambiance is very charming and there is a great gift shop on site. Don't forget look for the goats on the roof! We will be back. A must do in Door County!

We visited this place for breakfast. Although we were told the wait would be about 20 minutes, we were seated in just 10. I really enjoyed the way they grilled the bread with butter inside, and while their pancakes were nothing like what I had expected, I was pleasantly surprised once I tasted them. The pancakes were thin, almost like crepes, with a chewy texture, and spreading butter on them made them wonderfully savory. The meatballs, however, were a bit dry, so I don’t think I would choose them next time. At first, I noticed that the staff all looked rather stern, and I wondered if perhaps something was wrong. But later, I came to think it might just be a natural expression typical of their culture. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the goats on the roof, which would have been a treat. Still, the food was excellent, and we had a truly enjoyable time.

The iconic Al Johnson's is still one of the top must experience restaurant attractions in northern DC. The goats were probably on break from all the Labor Day weekend excitement, but the grass roofs still stood out when looking down 42 from a block north. Plenty of parking, seated quickly. Food was served quickly. Coffee ran dry quickly with no refills in sight. Food was the usual. No time for the gift shop today.

Nice historical and culturally rich restaurant with a Swedish goods store attached. The wait can be very long (they don't take reservations), so be sure to go early especially on busy days/tourist heavy days. The service was friendly and swift -- love the waitstaff traditional outfits and clogs. The food was okay to say the least. The meatballs and gravy were fine as well as the Swedish pancakes. My favorite part of the meal was the linden berry sauce that went with the Swedish pancakes. The lingonberry lemonade just has a hint of lingonberry flavor, the lemon overpowers it. Was also unlucky that the goats were tucked up on the top and not very visible. Overall, the food was okay and the bigger selling points are the goats and Swedish dining experience.

Great Atmosphere. I came because I was super excited to eat the Swedish meatballs but they were super disappointing. Tasted like Vienna sausage (the canned kind) but in meat ball form. I’m hoping that is not how Swedish meatballs taste, I will try another place and hopefully this place just does them differently. Very pricy as well for simple meals. Nice place tho and good hot chocolate. Nice workers as well.

Good breakfast, extremely busy. Be sure to check the goat cam before your visit if that's the only reason you are going. They are usually out by 8 or 9 am unless rain is in the forecast

Not Licked Yet Frozen Custard, located near Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek, offers a delightful experience for both kids and adults. The stand provides specialty ice cream treats and is situated next to a large playground and a pond where visitors can feed the ducks. In addition to its scenic location, the stand also serves delicious food such as rubens, paninis, and cherry pie.
43 years in business, try it and you’ll see why. I love the menu and style of window ordering, there’s so many amazing options for homemade sundaes or a slice of cherry pie with vanilla custard al a mode. I tried the Door County sundae, very rich and delicious. I would try the turtle one next or the butter pecan. Everything looks so good. Tons of kids and families playing by the colorful playground off the seating area. Super cute atmosphere and lights.

Disappointing. We used to like this place but our door County cherry Sunday came with a black hair in it for $10. They remade it, but no apologies, and then the second one lacked toppings there are many better ice cream and custard places. go to those. It is licked.
Arnold G — Google review
Classic Door County; who knew there were so many ways to enjoy frozen custard. Sticky goodness regardless of one’s age. Gnome secrets to locals and visitors.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We are visiting from out of town, like most people. But could not find one of our wallets filled with credit cards and cash. We called twice. The first time they stated that they didnt find anything. The second time I requested them to look for it, and they stated that they had a line up to the road and only had 6 employees working then proceeded to hang up on me. We left our hotel instantly and drove there in a panic. We got there within 5 minutes and there was NO line. Instead, we found all the employees sitting around chit chatting. We did find the wallet thankfully, with no help from them. For a place that claims they are family owned, they sure were cruel and clearly dont care about anyone but their lazy selves. TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHNICS!! I have attached photos of what the supposed "line" looked like when we arrived.

What a wonderful experience. We looking forward to a nice treat after dinner and Not Licked Yet was just a few minutes away. When we turned into the lot and drove down the hill we were immediately transported to what felt like a hidden gem. After exiting our vehicle we could hear running water. The creek behind the parking lot was so tranquil. The whole experience was amazing. Very memorable. Lots of seating. Amazing staff. What an experience.

No Food After 7. I’ll tell You because they don’t. Our paper menu we took home previously doesn’t say it anywhere on it. The Google page does not help at all. You just wait in a stupid long line for someone to tell ya it’s $5 a scoop ice cream or nothing. Enjoy!
Brandon M — Google review
Terrible experience. We spent $20 on 3 cones that were instantly melting and messy — ice cream dripping everywhere before we could even reach the napkins. When we were handed them, the worker just shrugged and said, “Sorry, it’s messy.” By the time we got them, they were already half-liquid. We went back to ask if this was normal, and were met with a blank stare and a flat “Yeah.” No offer to fix it, no apology — nothing. We had to specifically ask for cups just to salvage what we could. Not a great experience at all. Wouldn’t return.
Preston B — Google review
This stop was a highlight of our trip. The long line moves fast. There’s a playground for kids, lots of seating, and a little duck pond. The ice cream was amazingly delicious. 10/10 recommend!
