Janet was a great server/bartender. Her Bloody Mary is second to none. The seafood bisque was amazing, and the warm bread was perfect with the sweet butter. I had the meatball sub as the main, but I would not order it again. It seemed very bland to me and I like a lot of spices. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

I have been wanting to go to carriage house Inn for a while now. For our anniversary my husband and I like to go out to nice restaurants and have nice, fancy meals. This restaurant is over an hour away from my house so my husband decided to surprise me and take us there for our anniversary. We ended up getting there early for our reservation and sat right away. We did not realize that on Sundays it’s a very limited menu. It’s basically brunch and then a limited dinner menu, which is OK but I would not have gone on a Sunday if I had known that because I wanted real food, but thats our fault for not looking in advance. The host was super super nice. She sat us at our table, we waited a few minutes then a girl in all black came, set some water glasses down extremely hard and then walked away. No smile. No words. Nothing. No clue who she was or her purpose but she was not happy to be giving us waters. We sat there for a while longer and then finally our waitress came over. We already been sitting there for a hot hot minute so we knew what we wanted after grabbed our drinks. We ordered an appetizer and our food. We got the tuna which was amazing and I highly recommend the tuna! Then my meal came out. My husband sat there and watched me eat my meal because I guess his wasn’t ready? Then the table next to us, their waitress told them what the specials were for the day…... I didn’t know that there were specials and I’m actually really sad because I’ve been wanting a scallop risotto for a very long time. Well, your special as a scallop risotto and I can tell you I’m sure I would’ve liked that better than that crab salad I got. The crab salad was literally just A LOT of lettuce with maybe four lump crab meat clusters on it and Three or four little shrimp from shrimp salad - definitely not worth it nor good. My husband got the bruschetta chicken and this one was on us. We didn’t realize that the bruschetta portion had raw onion on it, but we told our waitress we didn’t want scallions or onions on anything so feel like that should’ve been a clue to her to let us know that there’s raw onion on that. Thank goodness, my husband‘s not allergic, but he had to eat food that he royally does not like. More of the story is the food was not good outside of the tuna. The service was just OK - our server maybe she was overwhelmed. I have no idea, but I was super underwhelmed with this restaurant and can’t say that I would recommend it to anyone. So disappointed that my anniversary dinner was spent like that Maybe others will have a good shot though! Oh wait! I was looking for pictures - adding in their butter and rolls were super delish too!

This is my third time and my mother’s 6th. It wasn’t our favorite time. I think their renovations took away a lot of the charm away. It would be nice to have candles or flowers on the table. The Reuben was ok. We ordered sides of wilted Spinach instead of fries and it was ok. French Onion Soup and Sangria were delicious.

Beautiful restaurant! We ate outside to take advantage of the last bit of nice weather for the summer. We made reservations and were seated right away. Service was fast and everyone was friendly. The bread they brought out before the meal was so good! All the food was delicious, I love that they use spring mix in their house salad instead of romaine or iceberg! If I lived/worked closer I would pick up one fresh everyday for lunch! I ordered the filet and it was cooked perfectly. Desert was also really good. The old fashioned has loose ice added which I was not expecting because usually there is no ice or just a single large sphere but I will definitely return for another dinner!

We had Carriage House cater our wedding on 9/27 and they were nothing short of amazing throughout the entire experience. Kristy was an absolute pleasure to work with. She ensured that all our questions were answered and went above and beyond to make sure our day was stress free. Her communication was impeccable, as well as her willingness to accommodate all our needs. The food was also delicious. Would highly suggest hiring them for your catering needs.

Kristy and the Carriage House team did an amazing job hosting my daughter’s Quinceañera. Staff was super friendly and professional, room setup was perfect and food was delicious. Everyone had a great time! Highly recommended

Off site catering for family wedding send off brunch. Worked with Kristy to coordinate the brunch. Kristy was knowledgeable professional and worked with us to create a menu that was just what we envisioned to end our wedding weekend. The food was amazing everyone is still talking about the French toast casserole with the pecan sauce. The staff was friendly accommodating and took care of our guests made sure all the food was hot and there was plenty. I had worked with Kristy by phone and email and she took care of every detail. She even stopped in to say hello and make sure every detail was perfect. Thank you for creating a memory!

Arrived mid-week at lunch time. Sign displayed mentioned staff shortage and to please be patient. Seated ourselves. Got our own menus from bar . Wait time was not too bad. Ordered fried fish sandwich with fries and fried oyster sandwich with side of chips. Portions were small and food tasted okay but cooled off quickly

The Ott House is a favorite stop for us whenever we are in or passing through Emmitsburg. Parking is on street if that bothers you. Food is outstanding. I cannot say that I have ever walked out disappointed. Great prices as well. Staff is always friendly and fast.

This is one of our favorite places to eat, but we had a very bad experience about two months ago that I'm still thinking about every time I want to go back there. We had a waitress we've never had before (and honestly I hope she is not still there). She did not say hi, did not smile, did not say a single thing really. Just acted cold and annoyed. I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt, like maybe they're having a bad day or something, but I could tell this was just her personality and she should not be working with the public. It was clear we were there for a birthday and she didn't even say happy birthday or try to make it a special night. All I can do is hope she's no longer working there because the customers don't deserve to be treated like that. Some families save up to go out to a nice dinner and someone like her goes and ruins it. I am one of those people who tips generously, but I had to get up and go outside and leave my father-in-law to deal with the tip because for the first time in my life I wanted to leave the waitress nothing. The food was great as usual, but for everyone's sake I hope that girl found a new job.

The Ott house is a great place to grab a drink or a bite to eat while chatting with friends, watching sports, or shooting pool. The smaller atmosphere makes it less hectic, unless you go on a night that's filled with students. overall, they have great prices for drinks. It was awesome hanging out there with other Mount students in my last year.

As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with a smile. The food was amazing and the service was great! We do not live in the area, but we will make the trip just to eat here again. Thank you for your hospitality!!

Pretty disappointed with our lunch experience today. Our server, Mandy, clearly was distracted. Took our drink order, didnt bring it, asked us again later Several tables were seated long after us but got food, and one table left before we FINALLY got our lunch (my soup and hubby's sandwich). Food was decent, but certainly not outstanding. Dont go here if you are in a hurry!

A favorite for many years! Always great service and very good food. It's my go-to for breakfast with my son. Also, the homemade desserts are something I look forward to.

The food was a level below fast food, the owner was rude and foul mouthed, and I knew someone who worked there who was quite satisfied with the job but swore to never eat there I asked why and the only problem they relayed was that there was a serious cockroach problem in the kitchen and mice droppings as well. So that was enough to never eat there again

Good comfort food. Better than other similar restaurants in the area. Salisbury steak is great. Love their corn fritters. Service is always good. Lots of locals eat here regularly. Great choice of delicious desserts. Very cozy atmosphere. I've never had a meal here that I didn't enjoy. I'm always able to find street parking. Can't wait to go back!

I usually love Carleos and order from them often, but this visit was disappointing. I’ve never seen string cheese used on a pizza before and unfortunately, it didn’t taste good at all.

I left a 5 star review 4 years ago, since then they're reliability to have my order ready on time has plummeted. The food is still great, both the steak and chicken and cheese subs as well as the pizza (sweeter sauce) but I can no longer rely on them to have my order ready on time.

Stopped in for lunch on a weekday. Has only a few tables inside, mostly does carryout. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pizza was amazing - some of the best pizza I have ever had. I wished we lived closer so we could stop in for the pizza more often. Definitely plan to stop in again when we are in the area.

It's a very small, legit, pizza shop. Excellent pizza. They run a proper pizza oven; no conveyer belt nonsense. not a lot of room. 4 booths at most. A couple of outside seats. Clearly a popular takeout spot. The inside is not dirty, but it is definitely cluttered. we stopped here with several members of a soccer team after an event and completely filled the place up. Food was excellent. Customer service was excellent. If I lived close by I would frequent this establishment.

This is a nice pizza / sub shop. There is not a lot of seats. The staff is friendly. The food was good and fairly priced. I got the large cheese steak sub. It was only $1 more than the small. I wish it had a little more meat but the food fit the price. They also give discounts to vets and first responders.

The service was very good. We got the AYCE crabs, which was a good price for $49.99. The crabs were about medium in size & seasoned well, but then we all started getting some that had mushy/overcooked crab meat inside. There were a bunch we ended up not even picking because the meat wasn’t good & I felt wasteful. I did speak to a waitress about it, so hopefully, they corrected the issue. I'd give them a try again. I've been there a few times a few years ago & always enjoyed the crabs there. (Also, we made reservations a couple weeks ahead of time.)

Small cramped place, elbows to elbows with everyone. The all you can eat crab was well overcooked, far too seasoned with old bay, to m7ch salt, and or too much season salt, no military or veterans discount. The waitress was busy, rude, inattentive, and more worried about her family members (maybe grandson)? I will not recommend this place to anyone. Unfortunately, the food is not good. No hand wipes or bibs, your clothes get messy and or ruined.

The crabs were good. However, we paid for a dozen large and ours were the exact same size as the people next to us... medium. Unfortunately, the butter tastes like the kind you put on popcorn at the movie theater. There were flies all over the place, so we took the crabs to go. They were much butter dipped in real butter.

Rubes Crab Shack is hands down one of the best spots around for fresh, delicious seafood! The food is always cooked perfectly—seasoned just right, generous portions, and served hot. The crabs are some of the best I’ve had, and everything from the sides to the entrees shows real care and quality. What really makes Rubes special, though, is the people. The service is warm, attentive, and you can tell the staff truly care about their customers. The owners go above and beyond to make you feel welcome—kind, genuine folks who treat you like family every time you walk through the door. So OK, of all the crab houses we visited so far, back from years ago, this one is the best! This beat my favorite crab house in Baltimore. I say this because of the maintenance of the juiciness of the crab meat. Most crabhouses can't maintain the juice of the crab once they boil them. Sometimes they turned out to be dry. It was too long on the fire or whatever they did with it. However, this Rube's Crab keeps the juice of the crab, so once they hit the table, I got the best crab! McKenzie was our waitress for this evening. She's quick and excellent! We ordered 6 jumbo crabs. The seasoning was incredible, although I know crab houses use old bays. The way they seasoned it, maybe they used music or something, the presentation was terrific, and the crabs were giant and fresh! I also liked the crab soup! Best ever! I also tried their soft shell crab and crab legs. It's a nice casual crab house and crowded!

We live about three hours away and were in the area picking up an online purchase when we decided we were hungry for seafood and a burger. After checking out the options nearby, we chose Rube’s and what a pleasant surprise it was! We ordered crab cakes, fried haddock, jumbo fried shrimp, a bacon cheeseburger, French fries, onion rings, mashed potatoes with gravy, crab soup, coleslaw, and tartar sauce. Everything was absolutely outstanding in flavor! The staff was also very friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better. If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely be returning to Rube’s!

We were here 5 years ago. The food was excellent, just like back then. Best pork belly. We split a 3 meat combo and still brought half home.

My husband and I always stop here on our way home from VA. It is one of our favorite stops!! Service is friendly and fast. The food is always excellent! We got the pulled pork sandwich and burger with fries this time. We also brought home the burnt ends with baked beans and cornbread. So good!!!! As long as they're open we will always stop in!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chubby's BBQ, and it was a barbecue lover's dream come true! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of smoked meats. The menu offered a tantalizing array of barbecue options, and I couldn't resist trying a bit of everything. Their ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, the brisket was perfectly smoked, and the pulled pork was incredibly flavorful. Real love of BBQ, you won’t be disappointed. Good service, I was surprised when I ordered food and couple minutes after I got everything in my table, fresh, delicious taste in a quick! Be careful with hot sauces specially if you don’t use it commonly cause black label it’s really hottt but good…. All of them are just amazing taste to combine all dishes. Great customer service, good menu, nice atmosphere, it is a clean place but can be better. Don’t be worried about parking lot there are plenty space. At the first time if you think that the place is closed you make sure because looks like close but it’s not.

7/13/2024 - What happened!! Subpar food, poor service and dirty restaurant. The bbq was cold, and the greens were horrible. There were 3 tables with customers when we came in. Most of the tables had not been cleared so we had to sit in the back. Our server was to busy chatting it up with the cook to pay attention to the customers. We will not be back. As you can see below this was our original review :( The BBQ at Chubby's is the bomb! Everything here is delicious. This was our first visit and we definitely will be back. Make sure you wear your stretchy pants because you get a lot of food here. Make sure you really read the menu too, because it is entertaining. The establishment is very clean. The staff is super friendly and very helpful.

Whenever I land in Maryland my first stop is to see my Bestfriend and eat. Per our usual, I search Yelp for what we’re in the mood for and go from there. This time I was in the mood for Barbeque and we ended up at Chubby’s! Chubby’s was super easy to find as it's right off the main road. There is ample parking in their private lot which was awesome as I was ready to eat. LoL! Upon walking in I was greeted by Michelle who also ended up being my waitress. Michelle was very pleasant and very engaging. Upon being seated, Michelle went over the menu with my table, answered my this vs. that questions, took our drink orders and allowed us some time to figure out what we wanted. When Michelle arrived back with my Sweet Tea (which was absolutely awesome) she took our orders and told me to make sure I saved space for dessert. As we couldn’t decide on what to choose we ended up with a table of options. Based on what I was able to taste from everyone’s plates, here’s an overview: Bestie: Pork Belly - Perfectly done and super flavorful. Besties Wife: Chubby Burger - Uniquely crafted burger that is Super Filling and pairs well with the “Any Last Words” sauce. Coleslaw - Ahhhhhhhhmaaaaazingggggg Kiddies: Onion Rings - Great flavor profile in the batter. Nice sized onion. Served fresh and perfectly golden. Mozzarella Sticks - Suler cheesy and good. As far as my meal… The first word that comes to mind for me is WOW!!!! Along with good service Chubby’s has good food. My Burnt Ends were meaty, flavorful, perfectly done, and had the authentic smoked barbeque flavor that I was seeking. The fries were hand cut and gooooooood. Crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. Perfectly salted and a perfect pairing to my Burnt Ends… With having the Burnt Ends as my main course I was able to test out the sauces. OmMyGosh! I never knew how much I loved an assortment of barbeque sauces until today. However, though each sauce held its own and I appreciate the variation; I fell in LOVE with the “Private Reserve!” The Private Reserve sauce is a crafted blend that gives you a little bit of each flavor desire. There’s a hint of spice, a dash of sweet, and a smooth undertone of smokiness. Now, if you’re a lover of experimenting like me, make sure to blend the Private Reserve with the Hot… Out. Of. This. Worlddddddddddd good. I had the Gooey Vanilla Cake for dessert. It was super moist, flavorful, and the Caramel drizzle really sets it off. It puts you in the mindset of cheesecake meets cake with a flaky texture. Chubby’s was an awesome find and I would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for some good barbeque.

Great food, amazing brisket, sandwiches are so tasty and the portions are huge. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. The place offers a real BBQ experience with a sense of humor all around, we do not do pork so the waitstaff helped us avoid all things swine, we still had a lot of options, the dessert was also amazing. Our toddler cried and she was loud and we didn't like the way the owner reacted. Aside from that, this is our new spot for great BBQ and nice service.

If you plan to dine in, don't come here. The pizza was great and the staff behind the counter was polite and attentive but the place was super dated and absolutely filthy. No one has vacuumed or mopped up in quite some time, and the bathrooms were definitely not cleaned on a daily basis. I get that the dining room was closed for a long time, but don't reopen it if you're not going to do even basic maintenance or offer even basic condiments, like salt (which they evidently didn't have at all).

They don’t have their own delivery drivers, they use uber. So they’ll let your food sit for 20 minutes without giving a heads up It would have been different if they let me know as soon as they could that no uber driver was coming. I would have gone and picked it up. But they were perfectly content with letting the food sit, and just send it out as is 20-30min later.

I ordered pizza to be delivered but everything went wrong. I called the store because my pizza tracker said it had been delivered but it wasn't. They said something was wrong with the system and that it would get to me when it gets to me pretty much. Well an hour after i ordered I get a call from the front desk at the hotel that the pizza delivery guy was here. He said he couldn't bring the pizza to my room. I've stayed in hotels all over the USA and never heard of that I believe it is just an excuse for laziness on the delivery guys part. Well i get my pizza there is no extra sauce on the pizza like i asked for. The pizza was dripping grease. I gotta say if you want a good pizza avoid this place. Little Caesars has better pizza.

They are renovating, just reopened the dining room. Came on a sunday for lunch. One person working, very nice and made great pizzas but made the mistake of using the restroom and it was pretty gross.

Respectfully, DON'T ORDER FROM HERE. I just had yet another terrible experience with this specific pizza. For the second time I had ordered from here and had them cancel my order without letting me know, so I sat there waiting for over an hour expecting my food just to call and them tell me "oh we cancelled it 10 minutes after we received your order". Tell me why they think that not calling to let me know my food had been cancelled is good service. Im not even mad that they didn't get their shipment for the week so they can't make anything but why make me starve for an hour, when it could have simply been not that big a problem had they just called to inform me about it. If you want pizza Hut I HIGHLY suggest not from Emmitsburg. Y'all don't even deserve the one star I'm forced to give you to post this.

I can't say enough bad about this location. They are always out of something. Be it bread, or ingredients. Also they never accept national promotions. Its worth the drive to Thurmont or Waynesboro to get what you ordered. My last order i ordered food, they call from a cell phone to say no italian bread surprise surprise. They tell me I can cancel my order through the app. You can not in fact cancel through the app. I tried calling, no answer multiple times. Had to drive to the store to tell them to just make it with what they have. They seemed so clueless. I hate to be this mean but they just can never get anything right here. Owner obviously could care less and I will never be back and I will ensure everyone I know is made away of the continuous problems from this location. And when I finally got this order they had not freaking lid for my sale so it was strapped in plastic wrap. I attached the pictures of this mess. Second update, the damn bread was hard as a rock when we got home. This franchisee is so bad I will call Subway to ensure they know about not just my experience but so many others in the area

You'll be lucky to walk out with a sandwich that has everything you want on it and that doesn't make you sick. There's a reason this place has such a reputation of getting shut down. Also, I watched the owner slander a blind customer for not being able to read the menu. That marked my time to leave and never come back.

The young lady/gentleman that were working their shift did not change their gloves while making my sandwich. Proceeded to touch the oven as well as the register buttons with the same glove that handled my food. Please change your gloves when working on food service.

Everytime i order on the app, when I get to the store they are out of something and have to wait even longer for them to make the food. You might as well add at least 10 min or longer to the pickup time because it's guaranteed to not be ready when you get there.

If I could give less stars I would! They all acted like they didn't want to be there which I get, but then me and my girlfriend found long black hair in both of our sandwiches, will not be returning. Just wanted to let people know.

My tuna wrap was made to order and tasty. The staff appeared a bit inexperienced, un-business-like - holding conversations w/"bros" while waiting on me. The cashier had to tear the register apart to give me the correct change.

I decided to try this place not knowing it was around the corner from me and Ive lived around here for a few years. I This place is amazing! The food was fresh, perfectly made and was some of the absolute best Chinese food I have had in many years. I don’t eat a-lot of Chinese due to past experiences but this place blew my mind and I will definitely be back. The general tso chicken was made perfectly even with my special requests. Highly recommend this place if you are wanting some amazing takeout for a reasonable price.

The food is exceptional for a little takeout place like this. Ingredients are fresh and the cooking is much better than what was expected. Staffs are friendly, highly recommended. Definitely will stop by again in the future.

First time placing an order here. We ordered General tos chicken, vegetable lo mein and spring rolls. The chicken has 0 taste. No spice, no tastes and very greasy. The spring rolls were mushy. I’ve never ever had mushy spring rolls. The lo mein was okay but not something I would order again. We ordered from here because our place in Pennsylvania was closed. Next time I’ll wait and order when they reopen, at least the service was nice. The staff is friendly.

*I'm sorry, but those of you who think this place is good have been deprived of GOOD Chinese Food for their entire lives. We just passed through and were hungry for Chinese. Nothing to fancy, just a simple lunchbox special for the wife and fried rice for myself. The fried rice was clearly mushy steam rice with freezer-burnt, fried till it was burnt vegetables. An everything was bland in flavor. My wife's noodles tasted like the microwave lo mein you get from Walmart. Awful 😖

Fried Wonton was too greasy and the meat inside looked strangely dark. The rice was mushy. The shrimp and scallops was old or over cooked. Definitely not going back.

My husband and I eat here almost every week. Even when they are overwhelmed with orders and the wait is a little longer the staff is so kind and generous. The food is ALWAYS worth it. Keep up the good work! We appreciate you!

I absolutely recommend this place. The food and service has changed for the better. I would never get food here in the past because it was so dirty and food was awful. I believe they have changed owners. Everything has changed. It is clean and they are very nice and the food is very good. Thank you China wok. Please give this place a try you will not be disappointed

I was really happy to finally see glazed donuts as I was unable to find them in my last few visits to different dunkin' donuts. So, I decided to order a coffee with a donut, and thankfully, both items were really good.

Don't recommend this. Location came here the other day because I live in town to grab stuff on the way to the highway. Ordered my regular hot coffee five creams five sugars. I'm pretty sure they supplemented my cream or with milk and didn't tell me before handing me the coffee. I'm lactose intolerant so I cannot have regular milk. Also, I had to argue with them about my donut because they couldn't find my donut order in the Drive-Thru holding up the drive-thru line. Then they give you my donut. Not only to get this, I don't recommend this location at all. And what's sad is it's the owner's family members that are doing this daily. Working at this location daily messing up daily cannot read their customers orders daily.

I did a mobile order for an iced coffee latte. I pulled into the Dunkin’ Donuts about 4 minutes later. I walked in and the drink was there waiting for me. The lady there was nice and said thank you as I took the drink out to my vehicle. Extremely fast service. Very happy with my order.

Only ordered a coffee through the kiosk. The young lady making my order was very polite and accommodated my change in the order. Have to say though that the ladies room was the dirtiest of all the Dunkins I have been in. Really needs to be addressed.

I asked for light ice in my drink, it was full of ice and i barely had any drink mind you this costed 5 dollars for a medium drink. I cannot understand a single word those people said.

Had a truly awful experience. Took quite a while for them to brew two small drip coffees. Staff at the window was unprofessional and unhygenic. The coffee? It tasted like cigarettes. Why? No one knows. Its just drip coffee with cream. I do not know what happened, but it was worse than awful. Could not drink.

Very disappointed. Stopped in a road trip for some breakfast. My “hot coffee” was ice cold. Like the cup was actually cold. Sandwich and tater tots were child size. They did make me a new hot coffee. Not going back.

Our first time here and our drinks were really good. We also tried the protein donuts. The service was great.

Delicious, healthy shakes! The monthly specials make it extra fun. Great people and they are a wonderful small business supporting others, with occasional pop up shops. Everything about it is perfection for our little community!

Mason Dixon Mixon has one of the best smoothies out there! ranging from sweet chocolate to REAL fruity smoothies. also make amazing cake pops with AMAZING flavors! The positive energy in the place was phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend

I absolutely love going to Mason Dixon Mixin for their boosted teas and smoothie bowls! My kids also love their teas and protein cake pops. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. This is a daily stop for me during the work week!

The smoothies here are PHENOMENAL!!! My cousin and I came here for the first time yesterday. The employee's were so helpful with helping us choose drinks and SO friendly! The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the place smelled like Heaven! I ordered the Pina Colada smoothie with raspberry with Margarita tea. Soooo yummy! I plan to order the peanut butter smoothie next time I visit!
