It wasn’t the chief’s executive experience I was expecting. The dining was basically, a surprise experience as you don’t know what you are going to eat. The flavours were pretty exquisite and worth a one time try. The served food was explained briefly by the chief/waiter (this was unclear). The protein part of the dinner was quite redundant. We ordered 2 menys and was expecting unique dishes from each meny, but that wasn’t the case. There was tuna, shrimp, octopus in the 6+7 course meny we ordered. Definitely say it’s not worth the money I paid (1000 DKK). I would suggest adding a penny more (2k DKK) and going a much personalised dining. In conclusion, this place is worth a ONE TIME try only for the exclusive flavours you get to taste. The ambience was a low light mood and was ok. The only reason we went here was to experience the “personalised dining” but this lacked the most here. Don’t think you can take any pictures here 😅

Amazing restaurant with innovative japanese cuisine. One of those places where you enjoy every single bite. Great combination of textures and flavours. The menus allow you to try a variety of many small dishes.Simply loved it! Wonderful staff and quick service.

Ok, if I share how amazing this experience was, that I even shed a few tears during the desert, you are just going to be disappointed even though you might get the same dishes. So it's not you, it's me. But that said, if you are in Odense, this is the place to dine. Go in without reading more reviews and lower your expectations, and maybe you'll cry too 😉

Goma left me absolutely mesmerized!! The perfect blend of zen aesthetics/ambiance, insightfully stellar service and the most unforgettably sensational meal bordering on the provocative! Ambiance: Nice, clean, open kitchen, pretty loud and not as cozy as it could be. Food: Fantastic and super tasty small portions. Their menus include quite a lot of food so only order them if you are really hungry. Service: Really good and attentive service with excellent knowledge about food. Price: Reasonable but not cheap

We waited 10 minutes to be seated, despite only a few customers and two servers on shift—though only one ever seemed to be around at a time. Service was consistently slow, and even other guests at our hotel breakfast the next day commented on it. The food was nice, but not amazing. I noticed several people were unhappy with their meals and even saw some dishes being sent back. There’s no music or real atmosphere, which made the place feel a bit flat. That said, it’s a cute spot and the staff were genuinely lovely.

Really a beautifull place, the food is really good but in my opinion some dishe have really a high price and even more compared to other dishes on the menu, plus i can't pay a bottle of water 10€ even if it's a libidum(for a table of 2)...

Located in historic building, Den Gamlo Kro stood out to me for their decoration, which dated back to 1683. I got the roast beef smorrebrod (148DKK) which comes with egg and fried onions. My first impression of it was…. it’s alright? Taste was somewhat bland, however toppings were very generous (in fact the ratio of beef to bread made it so difficult to have enough rugbrod for the entire meal). I also got myself a rhubarb (48DKK), only to realise it’s not fresh and came from ready made bottle. Service was a bit slow but decent enough, i would say the highlight is definitely the traditional ambiance though.

My fiancé and I only had (unfortunately) one night in Odense. We both wanted to eat in a place that for us was typically Danish. After searching the internet up and down, we found this lovely place. The old inn. An old, charming restaurant in the middle of Odense. As we entered, we went straight back to the year 1683. I don't think it looked exactly the same then as it does now, and I assume that something has been done in all those years. But one thing is for sure - it is amazingly beautiful there and we will definitely come back because this restaurant is worth coming back to. My immediate thought was that I want to bring my mother and mother-in-law here. Think they would have loved it as much as we did. All in all I have to say we will definitely be back. We were very satisfied and do not have a single minus to come up with.

Lovely place!!! Amazing interior and food. We love it! Highly recommend. I tried smoked salmon Smørrebrød - open face sandwiches, and my husband take beef and local draft beer ! Wow!!

A very nice boutique restaurant in Odense, the inside has a rustic feel and warm atmosphere. The staff were lovely and took the time to help with any translations and suggestions, also very accommodating to vegetarian requirements. The food was too tier - we had a lot of duck on our trip but this was the best duck dish in my opinion, the small things like the bread was also amazing would thoroughly recommend the focaccia!

We celebrated our wedding here in the Bomhuset and it could not have been more perfect! Attention had been paid to every detail and we cannot commend the staff highly enough for looking after us so well. The food was exceptional, the setting stunning and everyone in our party had a wonderful afternoon celebrating. We will be coming back for our anniversary!

I recently dined at this restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The beef was exceptional - the meat was of great quality and the ingredients were clearly very fresh. Additionally, the staff member who sliced the bread was very handsome and patiently introduced me to different types of Danish bread. The only minor flaw was that my dining companion and I accidentally ordered raw meat, which resulted in some discomfort due to eating it cold. In addition, raw meat is odourless due to its high quality. However, this was our own mistake and not a reflection of the restaurant's quality. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The architecture style is also very beautiful and adds to the overall dining experience.

Nice ambiance, but the setting of the menu in my opinion, it’s not really reasonable. Especially at the end came twice with the sorbets, i mean you can arrive at the same time but no need to separate. Maybe the chef was trying to show the creativity that sorbets in different ways. The cod fish soup with purée, it’s quite strange for me also. Honestly, for me the note is 7/10. I did love the service, the exchange with the Copenhagen boy was interesting. The team is with the young people, they put their hearts on it.

5-star no doubt! It is located at the edge of the Den Fynske Landsby (Funen village). It has both Restaurant(formal dinning) and Cafe (casual). My family chose the Cafe after visiting the Fynske. The food was so taste and prepared in fresh. The cafe actually locates in the village with open lawn and white table sets. Gorgeous atmosphere. Such a great lunch. Definitely recommend to my friends.

The tasting menu was extremely tasty and paired wonderfully with the wine selection, which included rare gems such as Hungarian white wine and Austrian late harvest Merlot. The food was outstanding! The braised lamb melted in your mouth and was expertly prepared. A memorable meal indeed!

I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service at this wonderful restaurant. The crispy pulled pork appetizer with foie gras and an egg on top, dipped in red wine reduction, was a meal in itself. The steak was also really good. The wine selection and pairing options are excellent. Altogether, I paid around 100€ (I insisted on tipping, as it isn’t customary in Denmark) - absolutely worth it for the quality and experience. Highly recommended.

I reaĺly like the food and the service. The waiter is veey well educated in the food and wine he is serving and explains it in detail. It is a culinary and cultural experience.

The tasting menu was very delicious and the wine pairing fit each dish perfectly. I found the starters and the Champagner to be a good opener for the evening. The service was on point. I had a wonderful dining experience at Kok & Vin and can recommend the restaurant to anyone who enjoys fine dining.

The service was really excellent, I was alone and enjoyed a great meal thanks to the helpful and friendly waiter I got. I was not very hungry so ordered two starters, otherwise I think their 3-course menu for 300dkk is excellent value for money. The highlight was the homemade sorbet however, so smooth you cannot taste any ice crystals and not too sweet, the chocolate one is divine.

Probably the best fish restaurant in Denmark, every dish where top notch and great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

My favorite meal in Denmark. We spontaneously stopped here for lunch on the drive from Copenhagen to Odense and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. After chasing the Michelin Guide around Copenhagen, the creative seafood-based dishes were the most delicious I’ve had. The servers and chefs were friendly, and the setting alongside the harbor couldn’t be better. Well worth the detour from the highway!

Unsurprisingly great seafood with an incredible selection of drinks, ranging from the finest of wines to select alcohol free beer to the finest juices.

What's not to like? Brilliant crispy yet moist fish dishes. All were perfect. Brilliant service. Attentive, very professional and yet relaxed. Beautiful venue overlooking the canal. It is just all very, very good. The guest and the food takes center stage. Nothing else. Love it.

Great restaurant where “fish” is at the heart of what they do. My wife and I attended a winemakers dinner with a focus on the champagne houses Legras and Vilmart. The dinner and wine were good and we really enjoyed our evening in Kerteminde. Are you in the vicinity we would recommend that you try it out 👍.

We were treated like royalty at this exquisite restaurant. Food was top notch. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely fabulous evening. Food creations inspired by H.C. Anderson’s fairy tales (in our case ‘princess and the pea’) and wonderfully introduced with a pinch of humour by the waiter. The restaurant is just across H.C Anderson’s birthplace and museum in probably the most picturesque and historic street of Odense. Definitely recommended for a gastronomical night out.

Exceptionally good food, beautifully presented. We didn't have a reservation; they not only seated us but graciously accomodated my shellfish allergy with a delicious alternative to the whitefish plate. Picturesque setting in a 17th C house typical of early Odense. The amiable host took the time to answer all of our questions about the house and its history, as well as the food.

The food has been really good. Well prepared, and good to taste. The personnel has been polite and kind. He made us confortable and has been ready to explain the menu. The restaurant is characteristic, nice, well kept and in a really nice place of Odense. Really happy to have been there

Absolutely delicious dinner with my cœliac partner (no gluten). Very friendly service, incredibly accommodating and reassuring regarding cross-contamination, so my partner felt very safe. All menu options could be made gluten-free. Good non-alcoholic wine was also available! On the more expensive side but definitely worth it for the quality and atmosphere - a perfect place for a special occasion.

A classic tourist trap. Beautiful location, but the food was exceptionally poor. The quality was well below standard. We ordered the tenderloin, but it was very tough, lukewarm, and clearly frozen—not fresh. A real shame! The starter looked fancy but tasted very bland. Drawn in by the lovely setting, but disappointed by the poor quality and service.

A small but very nice restaurant. The people there are super friendly, and the food is delicious. We even had homemade beer. If you're hungry, I highly recommend this gem.

Very nice meal! It was clearly our waitress' first ever night, so the service was a bit all over the place. She clearly did her best and took it all with a smile though. The sauce for the mail course was perhaps slightly to the salty side, but otherwise, the food was incredible. The plates were super noise when cutting, and with many people that could get quite annoying to listen to. Other than that, the atmosphere was good and everything else lived up to or exceeded my expectations.

I had the Fish & Chips and it was great and a really good portion size. The fish in particular was excellent but the fries should have been crispier. Some bread was provided with the meal and the white bread was good while the dark bread mostly just tasted of yeast. There were a few menu items that were not available which was disappointing, however the restaurant was flexible in adjusting menu items to our wishes.

Still on my quest to find the perfect Fish and Chips in Denmark. This was okay. The breading was a bit heavier than it should be but the fish was good. Staff was good and attentive to our needs. Nice to look out at the harbor and all the boats while you dine.

I have now been here three times, all for various company functions, one of which I was Co-responsible for. Every time we have had great service and amazing food for the price point, and the surroundings are always changing, but never dull! Their brunch is also very good with great options and again at a fair price point.

My wife bought a deal for fish & chips. Not my favorite dish, but no fault of the restaurant; everything was fine. The bread and oregano butter they served on the side was great. I enjoyed their very unusual beer selection of Faroese and Icelandic ales.

We had such a fantastic evening in the Pasfall Restaurant. The waiters were really attentive. As I am pregnant at the moment, they made sure that I the dishes were suitable for me and were highlighting that so that I didn't even have to ask. We chose the fish menu and even though we are not the biggest fish eaters, the menu was a 10/10. It had some surprising elements which we didn't expect so that we experienced very differents tastes and textures which all harmonized perfectly.

A visit at Pasfall is recommended. Service is very nice and hospitable. Food was arranged beautifully and tasted great. Some of the dishes we had, from the 360 degrees menu, were a bit on the fat and salty side, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. This will not be my last visit @ Pasfall!

Currently most likely the best restaurant in Odense. NOMA inspired dishes expertly prepared and presented by highly skilled staff that also knows its way around the extensive wine menu. I would recommend their set of courses supplemented with their wine menu.

Very nice food though I thought the menu was less interesting this time than last we visited. The "extra" appetizers were really good. They are impressively accommodating and good at handling dietary restrictions.

Interesting location. Amazing food and wonderful service. We picked different courses from the menu and hat great Danish wine. The service was very attentive and yet discreet. The good flavorful without being to much.

Excellent food, vine and service. The restaurant is small and located in an old garage. The decor is beautiful with a view to the kitchen. Really good experience, you have to try.

Possibly the best restaurant in town. Fabulous food that's both really tasty and quite inventive. Pretty much every course seems to have a little detail that you wouldn't think should work, but it turns out it lifts the dish to another level. Service was exquisite and the wine menu really good with a couple of surprising choices.

Excellent food, gourmet style with 3 snacks before the actual dishes, very reasonably priced both wrt. the food and wine by the glass. Even though we live in Odense and fairly frequently eat at the best restaurants, it took us a couple of years to spot this restaurant which is located in an old industrial area some distance from the center. I realize there are many servings, but it would be nice if they could speed it up some. I get tired of sitting on the same hard chair for 3 hours and 45 minutes.

We tried the take away Easter menu. And that was VERY good 🤤 👏 and the good thing is you have to finish the cooking by yourself so you manage to have everything warm by yourself. There is no issue of cold food etc. Really good quality product etc you should definitely try it

Very pleasant visit to Vår, food was delicious, albeit rather small servings. The wine selection was satisfying, and the waiters were welcoming, down to earth yet professional. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a gourmet experience.

This was a wonderful experience. We had eaten at Pasfall earlier in our trip, for which we had high expectations, but Var is infinitely better in every respect (setting, atmosphere, food, wine, and service). We paid 2/3 of the amount that we spent at Pasfall, for a much, much, better meal. The server met us at the door when we arrived,, and the tables were very well-spaced, and they played music that indicated sophisticated taste. The chefs would come to our table to explain things, and our server was very caring and knowledgeable (he ended up getting a very nice tip, even though tips are unusual in Denmark). The server brought us extra wine that we had not paid for (compare that with Pasfall, which charged us for food we had not ordered!). The wines were unusual (e.g. an "orange" wine from France), but were well-chosen and very enjoyable. All in all, it was one of the most pleasant fine dining experiences that my wife and I have had in the last few years.

The very intimate restaurant serves modern food and wine with its own unique twists. It is quite rare to experience this level of food and wine enthusiasm channeled onto plates and into glasses. You have to go to Copenhagen to find matching quality of ingredients and service. The restaurant appears in the Michelin Guide and is nominated in the 'Danish Dining Guide' this year. Go before you neighbour!

If you're looking for a unique gastronomic food and wine experience, together with a much dedicated service from the staff, in the heart of Odense, Vår is the right choice for you. Expertise and highest quality dishes will grant you this at the very least. Don't forget to visit the cozy bistro upstairs after your dinner if you seek to continue your evening in a great atmosphere and environment.

The diner went "crescendo", from a little bite to more developed dishes and finished with a generous and delicious desert. Respectable wines served, and the plates were beautiful and neatly prepared. What I appreciated the most was how concentrated the flavours of every single ingredient were. Really recommend if you're in Odense. Ratio price quality completely worths it.

Overall very decent, just not the best I ever had. Portion sizes were big I'd say and the servers were super nice. It's in a really cozy pedestrian area so it wasn't very noisy (apart from the seagulls haha). Unfortunately they didn't offer a student discount, but it wasn't particularly expensive anyway.

I’ve been here now about four times. First two I’d recommend the boeuf tartar and the fries. The service is excellent. However, on our last visit my husband’s burger would have to be the worst burger we have ever eaten out. It was so surprisingly bad. It happened to be the lunch menu and it really lacks options. All other times we came were brunch or dinner. I guess I just don’t recommend the lunch hour or the burger.

We came in just 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, and we sat outside with our dog. Very nice atmosphere. Waiter was friendly and helpful. Salad Nicoise with lax (salmon) was good, though perhaps could have had a bit more lax, actually. Very good Chevre Chaud. Nice wine and beer. We would go back.

The food here was pretty good. I ordered the mussels and chips and I was not disappointed. Good quality and well prepared. My colleagues also seemed to enjoy their food. The experience was let down a bit by the service, which was extremely slow. We would have ordered a desert but had to wait so long that the moment had passed.

One of the best restaurants in Odense, hands down. I tried the chicken Caesar and the mussels, plus red and white wines. The salad was fresh and the chicken was juicy and tender. The mussels were definitely the highlight though: plump, delicious, great sauce. They came with a side of amazing French fries, by the way. It’s a bit pricey, but absolutely worth the money. Plus the staff members were extremely nice and polite. It took them a while to get the food out, but that’s because they were packed, and that’s on a Tuesday night! Totally understandable, because it’s a really nice, cozy place with a great view and excellent food.

The dishes were not delicious, I was more irritated by the flies that landed on the food. I also do not understand why the restaurant does not have takeaway boxes, if I paid for the food, but I cannot eat more, I would like packed for takeaway.

Had our lunch and first impression, the venue pretty cosy especially the seating by the windows. The food was just ok. Personally, I think the smoked salmon of their ŒUF BENEDICTE ROYAL is overly salty so I had to left that out and the Oysters meat was too small/skinny so it was a let down for someone who loves oysters. 😃 Service was slow, we were there earliest but our main was served 2 tables after. My picky negative feedback would be the server’s apron could be cleaner instead of covered in what looks like white powder. 😅

I can't believe this place only has 4.4 (at the time of this review). The food was outstanding! Amongst the best we had for the entire trip to Denmark. Really delicious unpretentious French classics with a cute restaurant and friendly helpful staff. I will be dreaming of the croque madame until next time!!

A cozy brunch outside. We had lunch around noon, when the sun was just starting to hit the outside area. The small, round tables are just big enough for two people's food and drinks. The service was fine and the food was delicious. Especially the Eggs Benedict is recommendable. Only had a small look inside, when ordering food, however, it looks like a really cozy place indoors too, and it won't be the last time we visit.

Simple and classic French cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So far, I have tried Eggs Benedict for breakfast so far, and it was superb. With very good orange juice and a strong cortado.

Nice concept (choose different small dishes OR large boards in three courses with 10 dishes OR 5/6 course meal). Dishes were all good, a lot of variation and our kids (7&8) joined in with our choices. Only venison was too dry for my liking. It got a little busy at some stage and staff was struggling, they gave me an extra pouring of a nice Italian red.

We came across this restaurant with no prior knowledge or expectations, and what a great surprise it was. The food was delicious and so creative! The hamburger was one of the best I ever had, and I swear I had some good ones.

Food is amazing while the card is pretty small it's very well picked covering a wide range of pallets and everything is scrumptious. The views over the harbor are amazing and on the terrace you get to watch the sunset while having dinner.

Storms Pakhus is hands down one of the best places I visited in Odense! The atmosphere is electric—laid-back, creative, and full of life. Housed in an old industrial warehouse, the space has been transformed into a vibrant street food market with a cool urban edge and plenty of cozy corners to hang out in. The food selection is amazing! There’s something for everyone

It is a delightful place to visit, offering a diverse selection of international cuisine. The street food concept is well-executed, and all the dishes we sampled were quite delicious. They also have music events, outdoor seating, and a selection of beers.

Excellent street food destination!! Such a great variety of food options, all of great quality and very reasonable prices. There is an excellent live band playing popular music. One can find quieter spots too if you prefer. There is an outdoor sitting area too! The vibe is the best part!! Lots of people having fun, enjoying themselves. The laughter is infectious. This is a great place in a rather quiet city, to let your hair down and enjoy yourself 😀

A great variety of tasty dishes and drinks (especially the beer selection) in a great location with a beautiful flower decor. We enjoyed every bite and sip. This will now become a set spot for our next trips to Odense.

There are many options for food. The quality of the good was good, there are many tables and the music e also perfect (not too loud, not low). The bathrooms are a bit small but where clean and with everything. Now in the summer there are free concerts outside almost everyday and it is super nice!

Unique food experience you will ever have. Old Warehouse converted into street food kiosks. Original decorations you will not imagine it. Wide variety of food and drinks. Good place for family and kids will enjoy. Don’t miss it.

We decided to spend our final night of Odense to eat in no.61 and it did not disappoint. The food was exquisite! The service was excellent. Would highly recommend to any other tourist visiting Denmark. Do not miss out!!!

One of the best restaurants in Odense for traditional Danish food. A little bit pricey, but very well made dishes and great presentation. Wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Good for tourists. Reservations recommended.

Good food and ok service. Had the rabbit risotto and lamb main course. The appetizer was interesting with unusual flavors. The main course was more predictable. We had a bottle of sangiovese which was fine. The dessert options did not sound too interesting. In general, there are only two choices in every section, so one is not guaranteed to find something to one's liking. It would be nice if they put all drinks on their website menus. They don't list beers or affordable wines - they only list the wines that they charge thousands of kroner for.

With just two options for entrée, main and dessert, they really delivered. We had everything apart from the main fish course, and it was delicious. The wine pairings were as great as the service: un-Danishly good! Atmosphere was cozy and laid back with the partly open kitchen. 10/10

Great place for a cozy, yet exquisite dinner. Offers pescatarian and omnivore options, so not a place for strict vegetarians or vegans. Would get 5 stars if they accommodated such diets.

We had a great lunch with great food and service. The venue is cosy and people watching through the big glass window. Love the escargot and the grilled veal tenderloin that cooked perfectly. Definitely be back for more when my next visit to Denmark. Here some photos from lunch.

A great and fine restaurant, with delicate food where I would recommend you to eat slowly, and really taste all the different flavours. The personal stood ready to take our coats when we came in. Each plate we had was introduced, maybe only as a part of the wednesday suprise menu, but it was very nice. They have a non-alcoholic option instead of wine, which I found very delicate. Only negative part is that it can get a bit too loud for a normal volume conversation in rush hour.

Went here for my birthday and they had a great little fixed menu. Sadly it featured goats cheese which we can't stand but a little negotiation got us snails instead. Food was excellent value - very similar to the Paris dining experience. Would definitely go again but requires planning as it's always full. We were lucky to get a last-minute reservation. We had a fabulous and very happy evening at Resume eating delicious beautifully prepared food and drinking excellent very well paired wines. The staff looked after us very well, were very informative, and a lot of care was taken by the chefs to accommodate various food intolerances we had specified on booking. We particularly enjoyed the crispy fish skins with the pickled sauce and the pollock fillet with lobster ravioli. The sorrel sorbet was also delicious and very refreshing. Thank you.

This was a wonderful eating experience at a very good price. The menu had a nice few experiments, some imaginative flavour combinations, but also a rock solid, flavourful and pleasing main course. The wine menu hit the spot with four of the five glasses. And the service was the best of it. Knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly, this would be my main reason to return to Svendborg.

Had a family event there and the food and drinks were superb. From start to finish. The only details I could point out was that it got pretty warm until someone opened the church's front door and also acoustically it was not the best which is surprising for a church. But those were details that pale in comparison to the very friendly and attentive staff and the quality of the food and service, hence 5 stars.

Came here for dinner with a larger group. Ordered the 9 course meal with wine pairing. Overall the food was good but was always served in one or two plates and had to share which isn't so good when you go with a larger uneven group. People would be short or take to much. Dessert Pana cotta came in a small bowl which we had to scoop out and share between people? Other than that was a very enjoyable meal and worth going if in town.

We sat at our table for some time before someone approached us to tell us about the setup. The food was very nice, some dishes didn’t have any particular interesting flavor. We ordered 2 espressos with our desserts, but they never arrived. As the restaurant became more empty later in the evening, the waitresses were quite absent and we couldn’t reach them. Upon paying, the waitress said the amount to be paid loud and clear - I felt it was a bit out there since I wanted to just quietly invite my boyfriend without having the price of the meal out in the open. A wonderful experience of traditional Danish cuisine right in the heart of Odense, just a short walk from Hans Christian Andersen’s House. The dishes were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, each plate showing real attention to detail. The local beer was excellent and paired perfectly with the food. The restaurant is divided into two sections, one more elegant and one more casual. We sat in the less formal area, which still offered a warm and pleasant setting. The atmosphere overall is relaxed and welcoming, with a charming historical feel that makes the meal even more special. The only note for me was the apple pie, which was a little too sweet for my taste, though still well-prepared. Compliments to the chef for a memorable dining experience – highly recommended!

Such a cozy and inviting place! The wait staff were so wonderful they even let us try some options before we decided. My friend got the raw beef sandwich and it was quite good according to her. Not a spot for vegans as all options had animals product. I would love to see a gormet veggie sandwich!

Love the old & new vibes in this old 1772 rustic stable restaurant. We had the 9 course set menu which was a great social experience pair from champagne, white & red wine. The food was good & I especially love the main which the beef & chicken cooked perfectly 👍 The service was friendly and the guy who explained the menu in English for me was superb & appreciated. 😊 I definitely recommended this place for a perfect place to catch up with friends, family & love one. Doesn't get much better than this, in all categories. Even if you are staying in Copenhagen, it's totally worth it to make your way there and stay a night. We have been there a few times, this time it was the "Signature Stay". The only possible negative thing to say about it, is that it's definitely not cheap; but you get what you pay for, in the positive sense of the term.

Amazing experience, the food was great and me and my family are picky about some of foods and they catered very well to our likes and dislikes. We did wait almost an hour for our main course however as soon as we mentioned the long wait the staff quickly rectified the situation. For dessert I ordered hot chocolate and it is the best hot chocolate I have ever had, perfect temperature, cream and smooth. I would highly recommend eating dinner here. The one downside was that it was very hot as they were unable to open the doors (they were broken) and I do hope they fix that. The room was lovely as well and the in room breakfast was sublime. We could not have asked for a better way to start our day. We will definitely be returning to this idyllic hotel.

I came to Klosterkroen on a Sunday and they weren’t serving food from their regular menu. Instead they offered a variety of small dishes (I could order 5, with refills). I highly recommend the stew with beef and sausage, served with a side of amazing mashed potatoes. The Frikadellen, mini shrimp cocktail and egg/shrimp starter were all wonderful as well. The roast beef was the one dish that I didn’t like - too chewy and fatty. Otherwise, authentic Danish food and cozy atmosphere: the restaurant is located around the corner of one of the main streets, so it’s in the center but away from all the chaos. My server was extremely nice and helpful. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

We went after a day in the marina to this Røgeri for an early dinner. The fish is nicely made and fresh. I love the potatoe salad and we tried the worst time the fries, which are great with the house made sauce tatars. Only the Hering was maybe a little salty this time, but the shrimps were juicy and soooo good. I know there are many places like this in Denmark but this one is still a must have when ever we are in Fåborg.

Cosy place with a very good service. Very nice experience overall. I couldn't agree that a slice of bressaola could be carpaccio and the cold tortilla was "surprising" somehow, but all the rest was delicious and definitely worth it! I especially recommend the "young rooster", the duck with celery puree, salmon in paprika sauce and the desserts.

After trying to find some local food I gave up and went with Korean Street Food. It was absolutely great food! Unfortunately I don’t know a single word in danish but managed to order the Korean Pancake Menu, which was loaded with veggies and had a decent amount of shrimp in it. I loved it, would recommend!

I went here for dinner with my family. This place’s food was average (Disclaimer: we did not order any pizza since we were not that hungry, so no comment on that). We ordered many pasta dishes. The only one i felt enjoyable was the seafood pasta (others were just okay). There were both indoor and outdoor tables. Restaurant was busy and looked full even though it was a weekday. So, I suggest making a reservation if you want to come

The margerita pizza was really really good. Easily one of the best margerita pizzas that I've had outside of Italy. The only issue I had with the place was when they charged me for the water which was not mentioned to be earlier. They charged me for the tap water which is absurd considering the fact that tap water is for free. Had they told me earlier, I would not have drank the water, plus I had my own bottle of water with me which was meant for me to drink when needed. Atleast they should mention that they charge for the water so that I have an option to choose. Food was good. I would probably visit again, but this time, will just drink my own water.

Stunningly delicious. Every starter, side and cut of meat was worth trying. Left feeling like we'd be full for three days. Eating kangaroo was a first for us and very interesting. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English well and happily 🙂

A solid 4-star rating from me. Despite the bar area and seating process being quite busy, the experience was still enjoyable overall. The buffet lived up to expectations, offering a wide variety of delicious options. The quality and selection of food made it well worth the visit, even if the initial hustle felt a bit chaotic. If you’re looking for a great buffet experience, Restaurant Flammen is definitely worth a try.

This was one of the best restaurants on our trip through Denmark. With a massive sallad buffet and the many variations of meat this was clearly an excellent dinner. The staff was great too. Loved it and we will come back.

This is a great restaurant for a steak-lover! It's a all you can eat concept for a great price. I will recomend to make a reservation before you go to the restaurant. The people there will help you peacefull andb they speak great English. You can choose for more than 15 pieces of meat directly from the grill. They have also a lot of choice for salads more than 50 vagetables and toppings for your own salad. Great restaurant! I will give it a 9 out of 10! Excuse for not the best picture

Best burger experience in Odense, nice atmosphere, and really friendly staff. Thanks Camille, she is one of the staff there. Introduced us their best seller, The Sliders. She showed us the right way to enjoy the flavor of the burger combination. Never Eat a Burger without an India Pale Ale! If you don’t know which to choose, ask Camille. She is so experienced and able to choose the right drink based on your preferences. Strongly recommended, if you want to have a great meal at the end of the day.

Very delicious burgers and awesome service. The burger and the French fries we had here was excellent, one of the best tried recently! The French-Danish lady who served us was extremely friendly and attentive. She patiently explained different beer types they had and at the end we were very satisfied with her suggestion.

Great burger place in the middle of Odense town. Homer burger (with bacon, BBQ sauce and onion rings) was really tasty. Chili cheese fries came in as thin cut fries covered in melted cheese and chopped chillies. These could have been served alot warmer... Table was sticky and seemed unwiped. I have been a big fan of burger Anarchy, i even invited my guests from Canada there as i was sure they will enjoy it… but now i do not recommend it to anyone who have tasted Burger Anarchy before. We have paid 110kr for one burger which was full of raw onion, not much pickles but to be honest a tasty meat. I wish the old Burger Anarchy back🥺

Seriously good burgers. The three little burgers offer an awesome variety and really fill you up. I'm a huge eater but these three little guys overwhelmed me. The milkshake was really tasty too. Didn't like the ugly duck sugar daddy that much. Still too bitter to my liking. The hot sauce is being honest and truly spicy. I like spicy but this kind of spicy doesn't fit with this food. Guess it's more of a joke slash eye catcher anyway. The starter chicken balls were good too!

We came for lunch to Burger Anarchy and we sat outdoors. The staff was so sweet and smiling, it immediately gave a good impression. We had the fried chicken and the vegan burgers, and they were both very nice, especially the vegan one! We did not take something to drink, as the prices are a bit high though.

That was a small wedding so the only option was to go to a restaurant there. And there were not many venues on the island, unfortunately, so they booked what was most recommended to them: Mumm. From the outside, the place looked random. On the inside, it's actually a really nice place, with a lovely terrace and I kinda wish we sat there. But the inside was good too. 👍 As for most weddings, we had to choose the food upfront. I can understand that in the case of a big wedding but that night we were... 11. Anyway, it doesn't really matter in my case because I basically picked what I could eat (dairy-free): a scallop carpaccio 😋 and some beef that they adapted for me (even though I'm not convinced the original version had dairy anyway). As always in Denmark, the products' quality was great. As for the preparation, the meat was great, the carpaccio not that much as it had way too much sauce, which covered the taste of the scallop (raw scallop's flavor is kinda weak). That's a common issue in Denmark, apparently... And I tried my wife's plaice, which I did not like at all, compared to the ones I had the days before (plaice is on every menu there 🫩). I loved the dessert, a Rødgrød, which is a sweet berry "pudding", kinda jam. 😍 They pour some cream on it, which I didn't do, of course, and that was the best part of the meal. 👏 In that restaurant, all the servers were local and they were very nice and helpful. Clearly they wanted us to have a great time and celebrate our friends' love and happiness, which we did. I hope that was a moment they'll cherish forever. Absolutely incredible. One of the best tasting steaks I’ve ever had accompanied by a perfectly cooked potato, carrots, beats, asparagus, spring onion, spinach, and delicious sauce. So happy we came here!

We came to the restaurant to celebrate the wedding that happened earlier that day. Booked the table and chose there an option „wedding“, so when we came the table was decorated with red hearts. That felt very pleasant and sweet. Food was beyond expectations and melting in the mouth. Even with the menu quite small our guests (who are vegans/vegetarians) managed to find smth for themselves. We would prefer bigger choice of drinks without alcohol (maybe juices or smth like that), but it’s just a small comment :) Desserts were also veeery tasty: crème brulee and apple pie — highly recommend. Special thanks to the waitress (unfortunately don’t know her name) with a bun on her head. She was very friendly, thoughtful and caring, spoke perfect English and German. Our mood was great thanks to her! Of course, the restaurant isn’t cheap, but it was worth it. Especially to celebrate the wedding :)

We wanted to try both the sandwich and the pizza, but you can't order and eat the sandwich inside the restaurant, you can only order it at butik section next to the restaurant, where you can't order the pizza!! We had to move around twice, first eat the sandwich, then come back and eat the pizza inside the restaurant, and it wasn't a fun experience for a par night. We chose Gorgonzola pizza and martadella sandwich. Quality of food was acceptable.

Great customer service! The staff was super friendly and kind. The wine was sweet and had a soft taste. The bruschettas were phenomenal. The lasagna and the pasta were extremely delicious. We ordered two desserts which were also super tasty. This was one of the best Italian restaurants we’ve visited in Denmark. It gives you a taste of Italy, far away from Italy. Definitely would recommend visiting. Would recommend booking a table online prior to visiting because the restaurant seems busy at all times.

While I appreciated the taste of the toppings and the juice, the pizza itself had some issues. The crust was exceptionally hard, almost impossible to cut. Additionally, there were several slightly burnt bubbles on the pizza base that lacked any topping. On a brighter note, the tiramisu was quite good. So if you like your pizza like that, this is going to be your favorite place!

Super busy but they worked hard to find us a table without a reservation. The pasta ravioli was flat and the sauce was watery. The spaghetti with prawns had no seasoning and was overcooked. The best part of the meal was the garlic pizza. Prices are reasonable though and the service was quick. Generally a pleasant enough experience.

Great place and great food. The only issue was the time it took to get our meal. As we were eating outside, I had no idea of the size of the restaurant or the number of diners inside, which may have influenced the time taken. I ordered the Wienerschnitzel, which was the best I've ever had. Once the food l arrived, however the meal size was big and tasted amazing.

Try their "Stjerneskud". Not (always) on the menu but ask for it. Best I ever had in Denmark, and I tried a lot of places serving this very delicious seafood meal. They have many other good things if fish is not your thing. The hosts are lovely, the building beautiful (historic) and it is right at the harbour with a view. Good spot to eat indeed.

There's nothing much to this place other than the location. Don't be fooled by the high rating. The food is average, nothing extraordinary. So, there's nothing much to talk about it anyway. Now comes the service! First of all, they charge you for tap water on a per person basis ie. 30 DKK for each person! Like seriously?? After ordering over 600 DKK worth dinner, you don't even give complementary tap water to drink ?! This was a deal breaker. And no, not all Danish restaurants charge for tap water, so that is not a norm. But apparently this high-end restaurant does! Do they notify you that the tap water is chargeable? No! Is the price of tap water mentioned on the menu? No! Upon ordering beef steak, do you get asked if the steak should be done rare or well done? No! At the end of your meal, do you get asked if you would like to have any dessert or coffee? No! Go there if you like this kind of surprises that you don't even expect in an average restaurant, let alone a highly priced upscale restaurant. But I am definitely not going there again and would strongly advise people against it. There are a lot of similar or even better restaurants in terms of food, don't bother to waste your money here. Charging people for tap water without notifying them is nothing short of cheating people. You want people to pay for even tap water? That's fine, but at least show some decency to mention it to the customers beforehand. It is not as trivial as you may think it is.

I had a fish main dish which was pretty with perhaps small improvements to the sauce, while the dessert was with pear and ice-cream, kind of not standing out taste wise.

This is a friendly and cozy local. The service is very kind! Here, my friends and I enjoyed a delicious (but very strong) gløgg and æbbleskiva at the end of our daytrip to Odense. However, it was a bit expensive as each of us paid 99 dkk for the drink and the æbbleskiva together, but the æbbleskiva consisted of only three little portions.

Sat for over 20 minutes in an empty room with only 3 tables being occupied, which weren't ordering anymore FYI. The 3 waiters behind the bar were just casually chatting between each other. We are English speaking so we got the English menus - funny thing, but each one of us got the different menu and the positions/prices weren't matching to one another's menu. No matter what we did, the servers just wouldn't come to us. We would totally understand if it was busy — I work in a restaurant myself, but they did nothing. We left eventually and none of them asked anything when seeing us walking out. I understand that you guys are a quite popular place, but taking any single customer for granted does and will not play in your favour. Just because we weren't danish speaking doesn't mean you could ignore us. It's just unacceptable and embarrassing for you at this point

Awesome and Delicious brunch. I had the Klassik Brunch, which consisted of various meats, sausages, bacon, eggs, fruit, yogurt and so much I can hardly remember. The meal set me up for the whole day and at a reasonable price by Danish standards. Coffee was good and the fresh pressed orange juice refreshing. The perfect brunch by my standards. Atmosphere here was really nice too, good outside tables with the morning sun was pleasant and the people working here are really friendly and happy people. If you are in Odense and in need of Brunch, then I can definitely recommend Olivia's Brasserie!

We had a late lunch here yesterday after visiting HC andersen’s museum..We were lucky enough to order before their kitchen close at 4pm for their break time….Food was delicious… draft beer was great…it’s situated in a nice and quiet neighbourhood, within a beautiful building…highly recommended to come when in Odense.

A charming, traditional spot with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food was of excellent quality. However, the portion sizes might be a bit large for some guests. For instance, the stew was too much for one person, and in our case, it would have been perfect to share. It's a bit of a shame because the dish was delicious. Highly recommend this place!

My first time having Wienerschnitzel with brown butter. I like how crispy and flavored it is. Reasonable price and big portion. The waiters are super nice and helpful.

A quaint restaurant. Very nice service who, despite an ongoing party, found a spot for 2. Dinner was from a smaller menu than usual but nonetheless very well suited for our taste. Interior is a bit dated but stylish all the same. As a tourist, I can highly recommend this place!

This is a very good Danish restaurant. I had the shrimp cocktail and pig cheeks - both were rather simple but delicious, nothing pretentious. They also have a very good selection of beer, wine and flavored schnapps. I had the rhubarb-ginger schnapps which was wonderful. The atmosphere is super chill and the waiters are very nice. It’s somewhat pricey but worth it. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely lunch at this perfect venue on a sunny day. Venue Cosy with great view of the sea and bridge especially the table near the windows but take note, it can be quite warm inside. Food We had their 3 course menu with additional dish adds on which is needed as the portions are small. I enjoyed all dishes accept for the Stuffed French quail because I found it salty for me personally especially the mushrooms. The Sorbet of rhubarb and strawberries, parfait dessert is YUMM ! 👍 Service Service is good and if I want to be “picky”and just a little feedback on the guy with black jacket server, I think he can be a little friendlier because he doesn’t looks like he enjoy being there. I do not think he meant it, just didn’t pay attention to his face expression I suppose. 🤪 Overall, e enjoyed it so thank you for the hospitality. Here some photos I took.

Impossibly cosy restaurant right by the beach in lovely Nyborg Strand. The restaurant is always busy which can make one feel a little invisible, but one is always certain that the staff is doing their best to make you feel good running from table to table. Portions are on the small side, even for a gourmet restaurant. Some dishes and part of dishes did not present themselves the best way. Expressing this to the staff did not lead to any accommodations. Excellent cheese trolley. Extensive wine list, though quite pricey. The air quality in the restaurant should be a focus area.

The food was delicious, the wine and juice menu was some of the best I've had, and the restaurant is situated almost on the beach with an amazing ocean view. A wonderful place to go if you have the money. The dishes are well made, but the flavours are not always overwhelming as you might find in restaurants with similar pricetags. We had the seven course meal with wine and champagne. We did however have one dish where one of my guests, didn’t have all the ingredients in her dish added upon being served, hence the lack of 5 stars. The staff are super friendly, helpful and very professional. The restaurant itself is beautiful and almost no matter where you sit, you’ll have an ocean view.

Amazing lunch in the middle of Denmark. We were looking for a nice spot where having our lunch and we noticed this restaurant on the web just 1h30’ from Copenaghen. It’s been an amazing experience, absolutely comparable to a Michelin starred restaurant in a perfect location in front of the calm sea with woods in the back. We will definitely come back!

The good was delicious. I thought we were eating late a 730, but I recommend having reservations if you plan on going. A lot of big groups showed up after us and it got pretty busy. The drinks were delicious and the food was really good. I had a salmon dish that was melt in your mouth.

My favorite restaurant in Odense, without even thinking twice! The menu changes every month and Antonio (the owner and chef) can always create a tasty combination in the month's menu. Service is absolutely perfect, you can really feel cuddle there. And personally, that's what I love about eating out ❤️ go there, you won't regret it!

It is in my opinion one of the greatest restaurants in the entire Odense area. The chef clearly cares alot about the food that he makes and the waiters and waitresses are equally invested in the experience. The seasonality of the menu and its limited options allows for more care and attention being put into each dish, meaning that if you buy a 3 or 4 course meal, you'll have a curated experience that is phenomenally well balanced and priced. I really cannot recommend the place enough, however if you do not speak English or if you have a very restricted diet maybe this place isn't for you.

Very nice atmosphere, great food. Only thing I wished was better was an easier time of selecting wine - though the waiters seems to have a great idea of what to pair with what. You will not regret going to this little, but beautiful restaurant!
