The lambchop I ordered was well seasoned but was slightly overcooked. The onion rings were very oily which i assume is due to the thin batter absorbing the oil. Overall, its an OK place for drinks and a light meal if you are not too hungry. The music isn't outrageously loud making it a good place to have a chat over beer. I hope they improve upon the onion rings though.

I had dinner here last week on Thurs 24/10/24. Its my first time going to this place. We ordered mushroom soup, chicken chop and rib-eye steak. The chicken chop broccoli was all yellow, I mean we can even see the yellow color despite the dark atmosphere. When we call the waitress, she came back from kitchen and said, the supplier supplied the brocolli like that. The rib-eye came with a potato with white sauce, the white sauce had a gone bad taste and sour. I returned the potato for them to taste, and the manager said it is memang like that, tartare sauce. Definitely not coming back to dine here.
What a great rooftop bar, looks super chill and hip... but.... nobody there. This place has a lot of potential to become the hippest spot in town, need to advertise more. Food is bad, throw away the (too large) menu and go for nice tapas / sharing dishes/ fingerfood.
Ate here last night. Was looking for a decent steak in Miri. With regards to the steak, I had the tenderloin and it was cooked almost perfect. But that’s where the good news ends… It wasn’t busy when I went, but the service was shockingly slow. After my first drink was finished I waited over 10 minutes for another, in the end I walked over to the bar to get one - and walked past maybe 6/7 members or staff all sat scrolling on their phones! This was a common theme of the evening unfortunately.
So yes, great steak but the worst service i've experienced in Miri.
I’ve been here a few times and it’s really great fun. Good music, beautiful sunset views and the food and cocktails are delicious. Yes, it’s expensive with ++ but it’s definitely worth it for a nice occasion. The staff are super friendly and service good.
Great casual spot to hang out especially in the evening. You can enjoy cocktails with amazing sunset views. Pretty decent menu and prices. Waiters are attentive .They have a smoking zone as well. Would definitely recommend.

We asked for tuak and some other cocktail. Highlight was 2 different glass of liquid when pour together under a torch light. There appeared a lot of sparkling tiny twinkling stars for 20 second or so. Its name Aurora. Amigo cocktail was the best. Refreshing. Food was also good. Pizza is best.
Food was good, can recommend their salad and tom yum soup. Service was also great, let us borrow a plug to charge our phone. Only thing that bothered us was the music which was heavily influenced by club music.
First time bringing the boys to dine in Hive aka TAVN Gastropub after my previous visit with my bff for her birthday celebration. It was during the long Gawai holidays and it happened to be Aloha Feast theme in conjunction with the newly premiered movie ‘Lilo and Stitch’. We ordered the lamb chop with mint sauce, burger with peanut sauce, Chachaland (matcha drinks), limited edition of Hula Shrimp Pineapple Pasta and the special Stitch’s Seafoam Soda. Their choices of ingredients are bold and brazen, combination of ingredients that we normally think it’s impossible, but they nailed it. Suit our tastebuds, and we glad we made the correct call. They even gave our two kids lollipop just to make their day.

Wow! Tavn Gastropub is a must-visit in Miri. "The expensive one" was worth every penny - a truly outstanding dish. And the Avocado Latte? Simply the best I've ever had! Five stars doesn't feel like enough!
Fairly new place or maybe I'm outdated. I love this place as it's a smoke-free zone. Ambience and lighting are on point. Waitress are friendly and love how they will ask if the food quality is great or not. My friend and I love it. Mushroom pizzas were delicious, and in-house mocktails were marvellous.
The Downside is during dinner time, the music was too loud. Love the live band songs requests. Overall, you get what you pay for. I strongly recommend those who love to chill and hang out.

However, it has undergone a transformation under new ownership and is now called Happy Island bar and bistro. With new owners and newly renovated now its called Happy Island bar and bistro. Great and friendly atmosphere, plenty of food stalls serving local cuisines. There's Karaoke, a pool table and dart boards. Live bands playing on the weekends. Drinks are cheap and their Guinness is always fresh. Love the place. Good vibe to it.
