The 24 best bars and drinks in Cambrils

We went to the rugby tavern every night while we stayed in cambrils. 2 adults 3 children. Can honestly say that the food we had every night was lovely, every meal was cooked to a high standard and more importantly very hot. I had several dinners on the menu, curry, burgers and the fish and chips. Standout favourite was the Cajun burger. Best place we’ve ever eaten abroad. Family. Tony and the guys who work there were all very accommodating and real nice people. Would definitely go back!

We had 9 of us here for food on Thursday 4th of September. 7 adults and 2 kids. We came back here as we eat there last year and it was really good. This year it was terrible. The service was very disappointing. We started off with a lovely young chap and then a woman served us and she was shocking. Was rude in so many ways. The food wasnt great. I myself had the wings and ribs combo Wings were very dry and crisp. Ribs were rubbery and bland. Would be avoiding this place again in the future.

I went here from my birthday and I really enjoyed it. The menu has something for everyone. The food is really nice and they brought out a cake for my birthday too. Not a traditional Spanish restaurant, it’s more of an English pub and has curry chips etc so it’s nice for something different in Cambrils. About a 5-10 minute car ride from most of the hotels; Cambrils Park Resort and Sanguli etc. Right beside the beach so you can head for a walk after your meal. I had chicken wings and curry chips. The staff are so friendly and they have plenty of live sport.

Very good and reasonably priced bar food. Well worth a visit. We had 2 meals here with several drinks and each one was under €70 for 2 kids and 2 adults with extras. Can't argue with standard of food especially for the price of it. Very family friendly and also one of the few spots that seems to have a multicultural workforce.

Decided to go out for our last night and didn't fancy going too far. We chose to come here for our dinner and was so glad that we did. The food choice is excellent and our meals that we chose were delicious, really reasonable prices too. We had cheeseburger with all the accompaniments, home made lasagne with garlic bread and a side chips with gravy. The Scottish lady that served us was super friendly as were all the staff. The atmosphere was great, there was sports on tvs in all directions, something for everyone plus some great background music. We're only disappointed that we hadn't come here sooner. If we ever come back to Cambrils we would 100% eat here again.

Great place to eat. Very attentive staff. Yes they show a lot of sports on tv, don't let that put you off. Caters for all from singles to families. Out our 7 night stay, we are here 5 times. After the 1st visit, we decided we didn't need to look around as food was so good.

Stopped for drinks. Uninterested male owner, with the same style of poor service from the female member of staff with the added negativity of being surly and cold towards us. On asking for olives she charged us €9…..nice work if you can get it, which they won’t from us anymore.

If you aren’t their type, don’t bother. We arrived 1hr before a Barcelona game and asked if we were okay to sit at a table near their screen. The nice waitress said yes so went inside to order drinks. Ignored for a while (despite the bar being empty!) but friendly bar man finally arrived and we ordered €20 of drinks for our young family. Half ways through our drinks, a reserved sign was put on the table without explanation or apology. I went to the bar to ask what was happening and the waitress apologised at this point and said we could move tables. No real problem, but checked if it was okay to sit at a different table with a side view of the screen and she said it was. I smiled and moved our things. 15mins later and now literally 10mins before kick off, just as I try to order more drinks and some food for us, the manager comes over and puts another reserved sign on our table again without saying a word. Didn’t even look at us! The waitress looked very embarrassed and gestured she was sorry from afar before quickly going inside. Manager then wouldn’t even speak to us! As we left, he was quick to rush over and clean the table though. I appreciate we are English but we visit Cambrils regularly and try to speak basic Spanish so some attempt by them to talk to us would’ve been appreciated given we were polite and friendly throughout. Upon reading other reviews now, it seems they have a certain ‘fit’ so they’ll take your money when it’s quiet and treat you poorly when they want the table back. If they had said it was reserved at the start - totally fine - but they made up the rules as they went along so now there was nowhere else to watch the game that late on because every bar was packed! Basically, when we’re back, we’ll be sure not to visit this bar again or bring friends if this is how they consistently treat people. Shocking.

This is always the 'go to' bar when we are in Cambrils. Great tapas, a good restaurant and winderful staff. You must try the flaming pig, chorizo al fuego!

Very lovely beach with shallow water, we went in August and the sea was lovely and warm. The port side is fairly quiet and was able to rent two sunbeds under a canopy for €20. Lots of restaurants and shops selling ice creams, etc. Relaxed atmosphere.

Beautiful and clean. Perfect for children. The big minus is that they took out the showers from the beach. I understand that is an issue with the water in Spain, but at least leave the small ones where you can take sand off your feet. That's the minimum for a beach in a position like that. You are not in the wilderness.

Great for nicnacs shopping and beautiful beach, the port is close by with lots of stunning yachts, lots of accessible shops, eateries, for anyone with disabilities and great for families. The area is so incredibly clean as well,very idyllic.

Beautiful beach and easy walk from Sol Port Cambrils hotel where we stayed when it was called Tryp Port Cambrils. It was great to go to the beach in the morning and then drive to Port Aventura in the afternoon. A fabulous beach to take your young family and eat ice cream on the beach.

Went there a few times in April while attending a Walking football Tourament near by,was always made to feel welcome by Tony & his staff and had great service. Will be going back next year when I'm over there

About 10 years ago we came on holidays to Cambrils and ate in the sports bar next door to our apartment complex. We got to know some of the staff that year and one night we ended up talking about how Courtney really loves her broccoli 😂 The next night Tony said he had a surprise for Courts, he made her a a special dinner with broccoli! That is one of the little random memories that has stuck with our family over the years. This year we came back to Cambrils for the first time since then and were chatting about that memory again but we were sad to find out that the bar was closed down. Instead we went across the road to The Mucky Duck Sports Bar and Grill Cambrils. While there, we spotted someone who felt very familiar to us and we met some other new people who were very warm towards us from the moment we sat down. Once we saw how they were with Courtney we had to asked if he was the same Tony that we met years before. All these years later and Tony is still as kind and thoughtful as he has always been to our family but especially Courtney. The staff reserved the same table for us every time they knew we were coming, they said hello everyday when we passed and they even made her multiple cups of very milky tea and another special broccoli dinner. There is a lot to be said for a place that you feel so welcomed and personally cared for but this means even more to you when you are traveling with someone who has additional needs. I would highly recommend this place if you're ever in Cambrils. Very friendly staff. Tony is very good host even taught my husband how to open the bottles (without soaking himself) using the bottle opener on the bucket of drinks. Reasonable priced food. Watched him deal with some halfwit English guy, very professionally. Good for families

Best bar in this area by far - Top food - Top staff - Very reasonable prices - You are always close to a TV screen wherever you sit - All sport covered. Tony is the nicest guy in the Costa Dorado. Can't wait to go back.

On our last day of holidays we came in to sample the lunch here, and wou what can I say, the best of the best, our steaks cooked to our liking and perfect. Would really recommend this restaurant to the queen, it absolutely fab. Lovely staff, and very friendly owner, so nice.

Terrible evening service. We ate here for lunch yesterday and was happy enough but came here for dinner tonight and the only memeber of staff on was grumpy and not very polite. We finished our meal and despite in the end quite obviously looking for the waiter he ignored us, even after looking at us at least 6 times. My daughter had a desert included and she was desperate for her ice cream. When he eventually cleared the table (after I went in an blatantly asked it to 've cleared) he didn't acknowledge the delay or anything. Shame about the service. I wanted to try the steak next time, it actually look ok!

If I could rate as 0 stars I would. Food was terrible. We are a family of 3 and both adult meals were horrific. Bravas sauce was a mix of ketchup and mayonnaise, how is this bravas?? We witnessed staff take frozen pizza from a box and sent to kitchen to cook. Kids burger was literally gray in colour and inedible. Chips and scampi were frozen from packet, likely Lidl as all condiment seemed to be from Lidl. Staff were unfriendly and not a smile to be had. We only ate here as our first choice 20 yards down the road was full. Needless to say we will never return.

Great place for a holiday especially if you like walking along the promenade. It's about a 1.1 km walk into Cambril as this is a residential type area with holiday let's. The round about is opposite the park in-between Cambrils centre and Platja del la Llosa beach.

My favourite beach! Some areas are covered in algues towards the end of the day, but you can always avoid that by going further down the beach. The beach’s sand isn’t smooth, it’s more like a LOT of tiny rocks. My favourite beach and I go there everyday!

Beach is lovely. Spoiled by the cyclists that go way too fast & expect pedestrians to get out of their way, yet this is supposed to be a leisure area not a race track..

To be honest one of my favorite beaches to chill out in the winter. It gets windy but it’s very very relaxing. With beautiful skies literally every single day. There is always people taking a walk no matter the weather but not crowded, unless it’s summer or close to good weather... then it gets crazy. A kid friendly environment for sure, since there’s a lot of young families that gather together for hang outs. There’s also a couple restaurants/cafeterias along the shore that are nice to chill with such a great landscape in front of you!

A great small no fuss place in the heart of Cambrils Port to drop in to have a great glass of wine with some fantastic cheeses and cold cuts. You can buy the cheeses back home as well from the shop side. Some terrace tables outside besides the inside tables. Can get pretty busy so you might need to wait a bit during summer high season. For the locals, like us, great that it’s open around the year.

Restaurant review : Menu had a good selection of dishes. The prices are a bit on the expensive side. There are cheaper restaurants in Cambrils . But the view over the marina was lovely, and you are paying for that. Food was very tasty. Goat cheese salad was delicious. Portion sizes were on the small side. Service could have been better. One waiter was a grumpy man in his twenties, clearly did not want to be there. But overall I would eat there again.

Beautiful port! So photogenic, I could sit there all day watching the boats go by. Definitely a place to go to if you want to have a nice boat view!

I had big expectations for the new managers of the restaurant. Please be aware and disregard ALL reviews before July 2024 as it has changed hands and is completely different. 2 hours to get my cold main course, starters that were unexceptional and frankly bad. Fish that was obviously frozen and probably bought form Mercadona. Not a small thing considering that this is a fishing town and has a fresh fish market. A word of advice to the owners. Wake up. Sack the chef. Buy good produce . stop thinking its a tourist bar in Salou. Don't ruin the club restaurant forever. Cambrills has 250 restaurants and this is number 251 on the list. I am not exaggerating when I say that this was the worst meal I have had in 15 years. 1st and last time I will eat there.

Exceptional food and service. Table on the front overlooking the dockyard. I recommend the asparagus risotto and the entracote. Fantastic!! Will definitely be back.

Dry chicken which looked as though it started as a chicken nugget then sliced. Horrible. The wrap was glutinous. I did smile though watching the young man behind the bar trying to look cool shaking up cocktails. Avoid.

All tasted great Mains: Sirloin steak and Ribs. Both came with fries on the side and both again, very good! Staff were super friendly and super attentive to our needs. My only criticism for the service is for an evening meal I’d have preferred it to be a bit slower but that personal preference as I understand there is a turnaround for a restaurant and especially for outdoor seating which we had. Went there this evening I was so excited from reading reviews. None of us really enjoyed our food… burgers were grey and not great texture or quality and burger buns were like yellow brioches.. We told the waitress and took 10 euro off..
