Wow! What a great vibe to this place! Didn’t have time for a bite but if the chow is as good as their spirits, it’s a winner also. Friendly staff, great outdoor seating area along the river. Just a wonderful place. Great bourbons!!

Made the visit on Aug 14th around 11am. Bourbons were fantastic. What was more great is that they would let you sample some bourbons as well. Both Bartenders were great. I need to come black and pick some more bottles up. Purchased a rye 51 that day

Came here after hiking at Devil's Lake on a beautiful fall afternoon. My husband and I have been here previously to do the bourbon tasting and tour which was great. Today we enjoyed a late lunch on the beautiful patio with views of the Baraboo River. We were with my husband's siblings and spouses and all enjoyed our meals. Two in our family are very picky eaters and loved their food. We enjoyed the gin steamed mussels, miso pork belly tacos, jumbo lump crab cakes, ginger soy tuna salad, ribeye crostini and the heirloom tomato steak salad. We were too early to be able to order from the dinner menu but found plenty of options as you can see that were all delicious. Plus the bourbon flights were very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back the next time we are in this area. I only remembered to take a picture of two of our meals unfortunately, they were all plated beautifully.

My fiance (now wife) and I had our wedding at Driftless Glen after years of being occasional dinner customers. Could not have had a more amazing experience. After an unfortunate situation with our original venue we had only 43 days to find a new venue and Driftless Glen made it all happen. The General Manager Scott is a rock star. His staff are amazing. The food was spectacular. The entire operation from top to bottom is first class. We feel blessed and being able to return frequently for dinner and anniversaries is going to be a cherished tradition. Words cannot express the depth of our appreciation. Thank-you!

Excellent dining experience and atmosphere. Our server was very knowledgeable and hospitable. To start, we had warm dinner rolls with olive oil and vinegrette and the delicious crab cakes appetizer. I had an Espress-yo-self martini for my drink and the balsamic portobello entree for my meal. I loved every bite. Unfortunately, I was not able to save room for any dessert, so the next time I go back, I'll just have to order dessert first! This place is a bit pricey but it's very worthwhile for a special occasion.

What a great experience! The food was unforgettable - wife had the shrimp and grits, I had the pork chops, and we shared the ribeye crostini. All were out of this world. I had a spirit flight, which included both 10 year bourbon and rye along with the wheated. Fantastic! Our amazing meal was made exponentially better by our server Camila. Can't wait to visit again!

We love the service and the healthy options on the menu. Tonight we enjoyed the salmon with asparagus and cauliflower mash. And the steak salad with heirloom tomatoes, blue cheese and balsamic glaze. Wow! Always a great place. A in the warmer weather, we love sitting on the deck overlooking the river with the swans.

We dined on the enclosed patio for breakfast & the deep fried cinnamon roll along with the omelet were both very tasty. We loved the menu souch we came back for dinner & got the mashed potato bowls which were delicious. Will definitely come back again when in the area.

Awesome and friendly place to grab breakfast or food. They have fresh squeezed OJ and fresh baked good everyday. The cinnamon roll, Muffins and pie are also fantastic. Plus our Sever Lynn was very friendly and the best! It was so good we went 2 days in row because we're in Town from Ohio.

Went here with my son's for supper and we all really enjoyed it. Food was great and so much to see through out the restaurant. We will definitely go back while we are here on vacation.

Came here on a Sunday for brunch at around 11:30am and got seated immediately. Ordered the Prime rib and eggs melt from their brunch menu with hash brown on the side. The shaved prime rib was cooked well and the grilled sourdough bread made it better adding a slight tanginess to the dish. The cinnamon roll was okay but I prefer it more moist and soft. Service was fast and everything got served within 15mins. Will for sure come back and try their pies.

My family and I are from Illinois but we go to Baraboo a couple times a year. We come to Log Cabin every single trip. The menu is fantastic, the prices are low, the food is delicious, and the hosts are great. We’ve never had any problems with servers, we love every meal we get. This time around I got the prime steak melt, and the rest of my family got the turkey mashed potato bowl, the slow roasted roast beef dinner, mushroom chicken, and the Dutch apple pie. The prime steak melt was delicious, the sauce made it even better. The Dutch apple pie was so good, especially with the cinnamon streusel topping. My family had no complaints about their dishes. The fresh squeezed orange juice is also unmatched. We love it here!!

Bizarre Policy Ruined What Could Have Been a Decent Breakfast We recently tried this breakfast place, and while I really wanted to enjoy the experience, one of the most absurd policies I’ve ever encountered completely overshadowed the meal. Let me start by saying I ordered a skillet — something that should be customizable at any decent breakfast spot. When I asked if I could get sunny side up eggs on the skillet instead of scrambled, the waitress bluntly told me they “don’t do that.” No explanation, just a hard no. I was basically told I was out of luck. Trying to find a workaround, I read the menu and noticed they sell eggs as a side item — two eggs for $3.50. So I suggested they put the scrambled eggs on the side (instead of on the skillet) and let me order the sunny side up eggs separately, which I could then place on the skillet myself. It’s literally the same ingredients, just cooked differently. Still, they refused. Let that sink in: they forced me to order scrambled eggs I didn’t want and pay extra for sunny side up eggs, even though it would’ve been easier (and more logical) to just swap the eggs in the skillet to begin with. So I ended up with scrambled eggs on the side, sunny side up eggs on the side, and had to manually assemble my skillet the way any normal restaurant would’ve served it in the first place — except I paid more for the privilege. This is hands down one of the stupidest, most customer-unfriendly policies I’ve come across at any restaurant — and I’ve eaten at a lot of them. It’s not like I was asking for lobster on a pancake. I just wanted my eggs cooked differently, and instead of accommodating a simple, reasonable request, they doubled down on a policy that made zero sense and cost me more money. The food itself was fine. Nothing memorable, but decent. Unfortunately, that didn’t matter because the experience was overshadowed by how rigid and senseless the kitchen’s policy was. If management ever reads this: flexibility and customer service matter — especially at a breakfast joint. People like their eggs a certain way. If you can cook them sunny side up as a side, there’s no reason you can’t put them on a skillet. Period. Until they fix that, I won’t be back — and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who expects even basic accommodations to common-sense requests.

The chicken pot pie special hit the spot as we were looking for comfort food. The variety of pies could not be beat. We had the pumpkin. We came away feeling happy and full.

First time here. We were on our way to the Dells and hungry for some breakfast. The place has a nice retro feel to it. The stainless steel diner has been well cared for and updated enough to make it more comfortable for staff and customers. There are some tables out front and two different seating areas inside (it's bigger than it looks). All the cooking is done behind the counter, where you can see it all happening. It can be a bit noisy as the metal spatulas hit the grill, but you can still have a reasonable conversation. It's a busy place, and the servers are efficient, with a no nonsense approach to taking your orders. The menu is large, with lots of traditional favorites (no avocado toast here). There were two pages of breakfast items, and it was a tough decision. We ordered a number of different items: corned beef hash, pancakes, and potato pancakes with eggs and sausage. It did not take very long to get our food. Very good portions, everything was plenty hot, and all flavorful. Everyone was happy with their choices. The corned beef hash was not the kind you get from a can. It was large, fresh pieces. The pork sausages were plump and well seasoned. The poached eggs were perfect. My only complaint: I ordered my potato pancakes extra crispy, but they didn't seem "extra" to me (extra extra crispy next time). The regular pancakes were good, but not fluffy enough to be "excellent". A very nice place for breakfast, and somewhere we would return to.

Everything we ordered had such a home cooked meal vibe to it. From milkshakes to entrees, everything was fantastic. I definitely recommend the Chicken Biscuits.

Decided to have brunch at 12 noon and there was a small queue of around 6 people. Service was quick and everything got served in 10mins. I ordered the Prime Benedict from their specials menu board which was really good especially if you prefer something else other than ham in your Benedicts. Definitely will come back for their other dishes.

Adorable retro diner with great food, cozy atmosphere, reasonable prices, and fast and friendly staff. A must-stop for weary travellers, hungry locals, and good food lovers.

I would have given this place 5 stars, but unfortunately, I found both a long and a short hair in my omelet towards the end of my meal. The food was delicious up until that point, and I was really enjoying it. I brought it to the waitress's attention, and while she assured me she would inform the kitchen, we didn’t receive an apology or any offer of compensation. The service was decent—nothing extraordinary—but overall, the food is still tasty. I hope this was just a one-time issue, as I’d love to return if things improve.

The food was great made quickly and worth the price. The staff was on top of things and was nice when my daughter spilled her drink. It is really more conducive for smaller groups cause of the way it is laid out. The only complaint I have is that we sat at the counter and now my kids want me to buy chairs like they have at the counter cause they had so much fun spinning!

GO HERE!!! Seriously. Do yourself a favor and have breakfast here. It’s absolutely phenomenal on every single level. The quality of the food is ridiculous - everything tastes scratch-made. Corned beef hash is legit - huge chunks of brined brisket with fresh cut new potatoes and delicious onion. Not at all greasy and perfectly seasoned. It’s the absolute real deal. Sawmill gravy is to die for. It’s god-tier delicious, and this is coming from a guy who doesn’t really like gravy. It’s packed with flavor and has a perfect texture. Get it as a side. Bathe in it. It’s that good. Eggs and bacon? Insanity. The thick cut bacon has a hint of sweetness and just the right amount of smoky goodness. It’s roasted to absolute perfection. The breads? Homemade. Ugh. They just do everything right here. Service was fantastic and the pricing was super reasonable. If I lived closer, I’d be here every single day. Baraboo - you have an absolute gem of a diner. I’m envious!

We ate lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. There is a wide selection of tasty choices. Everything is vegan, so in all cases meat, seafood or cheese references are soy or other vegan substitutes. We started with the chicken fingers. Not finger-shaped but otherwise authentic. We had the tuna salad, the Nasi Goreng, the beef sandwich and the Bangalore Bowl. All were very good. The tuna was tasty but to be honest didn’t taste like tuna. The others were very close to the real thing and most importantly tasted really good. The service was very prompt and friendly. The place was half full and easy to get a table. We’d go again. Stop here to pick up something on the way Devil’s Lake State Park or The Dells. Recommend highly for vegan/vegetarian choices.

This restaurant was unexpected and very pleasant surprise in this area. After visiting many different restaurants in Chicago I can confidently say that this restaurant exceeds all of them. Everything was delicious. Especially I want to point out amazing flavor of dishes - perfect combination of spices, salt and food texture. You will not see spices and ketchup on the table, because everything is perfect as it is.

Most delicious vegan food I've had in a long time! Flatbread and linzer were amazing. Prompt service and very friendly staff. I'll definitely be back! Really unique artwork painted on the bathroom walls, too ♡

Amazing food and welcoming, friendly staff. After we ordered (and supremely enjoyed) the linzer torte, a staff member (was it an owner?) who's from Austria approached us to talk about the dessert. They told about the history of the recipe and how it's a traditional linzer torte recipe (using almond flour as originally called for) passed down since at least 1918.

This family owned restaurant had another location for many years that I used to stop at -I was ecstatic to find them again at this new location with this new name… The food is amazing. They were doing vegan and vegetarian food before it was even popular, so they really know what they are doing… Other vegan, and vegetarian places can sometimes offer bland food with an odd mixture of recipes, but their food is absolutely delectable. It is worth the trip if you don’t live in town.! The family that owns it is absolutely friendly and offers. Great customer service. They really took care of us and wanted to know if our meal was good. I will come back for sure anytime I am driving through.

Awesome vegan restaurant. Get one of the bowls if you're looking for something protein-rich. I added an order of savory lentils, which were indeed savory. I think this was one of the best places I ate at up here. (I had to be in the Dells since my spouse was on a business trip there.) If you're looking to get out of the tourist traps, come down to Baraboo and enjoy something peaceful.

I was visiting the Dells and I had heard about this place from other vegans in Milwaukee. It did not disappoint! I ordered their Thanksgiving feast to eat in the hotel and just had to go back a second time a couple days later for dine in. Everything was so good and prepared perfectly. They know how to season everything just right. It was filling as well! I will definitely come back here again and tell everyone about it. Service was fast a friendly as well. I just wish they had a Milwaukee location.

Fun little place to hang out. They have a nice selection of self pour beers, mixed drinks and wines. We had lunch here and everyone was happy with their food. We liked it here so much we returned later that same evening for drinks and to hangout. There are dart boards and slot machines to help keep you entertained. The hostess was very friendly even though she made fun of me for not being able to figure out the ATM 😁. We had a lot of fun and will definitely return the next time we are in town.

Really great place to go for drinks and just hang out for a bit. Large variety of taps to choose from. Fun idea of being able to self pour. They have a few slot machines and dart boards. The food is mediocre. Go for drinks, not food. Appetizers possibly? The pretzels were really good but not worth the price. The panini's were dry and lacked flavor. Brussel sprouts were pretty good. Large portions.

The food here was absolutely amazing! I am gluten free, and I was excited to try the food here, and happy that I had plenty of options! Our whole pqrty had a great time. We had the Fire Roasted Corn Dip with Tortilla Chips to share. They were fantastic! Then, I had the Pulled Pork Sammie, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavor combo on the sammie was next level flavor, and I cannot wait to be back again!

We grabbed some takeout last night from draft City and it was fantastic! We came a little early to check out the tap selection which was vast and a really fun experience. The staff member we interacted with was super helpful and friendly. They had a guitarist playing in the corner and although the music was a bit loud, he was pretty amazing. I could have sat and listened to his Pink Floyd covers all day. I immediately had to put on "Time" on my way home. The food was well done, fresh and very tasty. We will be back!

A great place to sample and try food. Easy to park place with plenty of spaces right on the cross section. They have beers, seltzers, wine and cocktails all on tap changing regularly, pay by the ounce and self pour. A little steep on prices but there is free soda and water as you serve yourself. Great for groups and they have a mug club.

Went back a week later on a Saturday, still amazing and have hooked 2 more people on their hand tossed crust! 😋 Sunday visit so Packers and other NFL games were on the many TVs. Fantastic self pour options including wine, mix cocktails (bloody Mary was nice and peppery), and many beers including make your own flights. 🍺 The pinsa style, hand tossed crust is amazing! BBQ bacon ranch and spicy chicken were huge hits. 1 pizza can feed 4 adults, so plan for leftovers. 😋🍕

Dark bar atmosphere serving burgers. Not recommended for vegetarian options. Being a burger restaurant, I had high hopes for a home made black bean or veggie burger. No luck.... Frozen patty on a bun with a soggy slice of lettuce for $13. Definitely overpriced. The kids mini cheeseburgers and the other regular burger was good. But not worth a repeat visit.

Great service and food. Monster burger was 1/2 pound and cooked perfect. Fries were beer battered and extra crispy. Appetizers were great too Cheese Curds and Fried Pickle Chips.

Great place the fish tacos were very tasty and the Chipotle burger was great too. Beer battered fries had just the right crispness to them. These were just two of the items I had tried off the list but there seems to be many others I would try as well. There was plenty of seating upon arrival which was also a plus and being staffed was also a great experience! Staff was very tentative.

Really enjoyed my visit to this hidden gem. My bacon chipotle burger was easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and paired with a couple cold spotted cows it will be hard to beat. What made the visit was the service though. All of the waitresses were very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area

We came here after climbing the devils lake rock wall and it was absolutely amazing, our burgers were juicy and cooked to perfection. We all devoured our plates and my husband even ordered a second one! No complains on the price

The burgers are amazing and don't leave without trying an order of the fried pickles! They seem to have perfected them. The breading is very crispy and the pickle juice hasn't made them soggy. I recommend the spicy ranch for dipping.

Drove from the dells to go here based on the reviews, and i was not disappointed at all. This place is 10/10. Food is freaking amazing, and its reasonably priced which is the best part. The drinks? Absolutely delicious. The bartender shelly is top tier. She gave us recommendations, options, and made it an awesome experience. Even the other servers were nice and stopped to talk with us. Will definitely be making this our new Tuesday date night experience for our dells trips this summer.

This place got my heart. The vibe is so pure Wisconsin as my husband and friend approve. Excellent food 👍 Good cheese curds, nice fried pickles. Pizza is the next level. We got the deluxe pizza (small size) and we can only finish almost half. Absolutely love this place!!!

The pizza here is fantastic!!! Yes, the pizza is absolutely delicious. The Gem City Pizza was tasty. All the flavors from the Italian Sausage, pepperoni, and the veggies came together to deliver some absolutely great flavor. The house made crust was unique and flavorful, crunchy and hearty. Can’t say enough about the service. Took care of us very well and was there to help with menu and beer. Kudos to the kitchen and our awesome service. Don’t walk here, run and grab yourself some delicious pizza.

Food was delicious. The pizza was worth it, I only saw one person attending the bar and the table and with that still providing great service. I did go with my son and nephew so not exactly kid friendly but they both enjoyed their food.

My wife and I always stop at a local bar and grill on our travels. We were not disappointed at the food and service as we stopped in for a late lunch passing through Baraboo. The thin crust pizza, carnivore, was way over the top with great toppings. We will be back again.

I have eaten here before.... Quick lunch, but the wife and I ate an early dinner today. Everything was great. Honey garlic spice for the wings!!!! And pizza was great. Service was great, it was even busy a total plus!

Stopped in for dinner after a day of hiking at Devils Lake. The bar and restaurant areas were busy, and I was greeted by the staff right away. Went with the Carnivore pizza and it was absolutely amazing - loaded with quality meat toppings. Probably one of the best, most filling pizzas I’ve ever had (even on a thin crust)! If the pizza is this good, can’t wait to get back here to try other amazing menu options!

Our entire experience from cake tasting for our wedding to cake delivery was great! I think the best part was the owners mom. She was the sweetest lady and we loved talking to her and her husband! The cake was so delicious and flavorful and really beautiful. Such a cute place.

Hats off to Neat-O's Bake Shoppe. I left a message Thursday after hours to see if they were able to make a dozen bee themed donuts for a birthday party and have it ready for pickup on Saturday. I got a call Friday saying they were able to accommodate my request. I stopped by Saturday and they were perfect! Thanks to the staff for making my daughter's birthday a little more special! I've uploaded a picture of some of the donuts.

We had a cookie and a donut from here, and they were both delicious! The employees were very friendly, and it was a great atmosphere. We look forward to going back and trying something else soon. We recommend this bakery!

If you want some of the best desserts you've ever had in the Sauk/Columbia area, you go to Neat-O's. Not only have we had them for our wedding (which was a fantastic process from cake tasting to first cupcake bites), we continue to refer to them for any party or event services that we've had: birthdays, parties, just because. They have the best buttercream frosting I've ever had! We can't wait to go back to Neat-O's for our wedding anniversary and get another cake for the day!

Best bakery in the area! Highly recommend the apple fritters- get there early before they're gone. We've sampled a little of everything and it's all delicious, homemade baked goods. One of a kind- you must stop in!

Came to the dells on vacation. Drove here on Monday for donuts and had to come back Friday to restock. Something for everyone! Delicious!

Ordered wedding cake and sheet cakes for guests. Sheet cakes were STELLAR. Couples' cake was dry, but Neato's has reached out to make it right (not necessary, but super kind). Staff in the shop were really helpful! Best prices in area for wedding cakes. Would strongly recommend. Changing review to a 5- they reached out to ask about our couples' cake which was super kind.

My wife and I have been going here ever since we moved to baraboo. The atmosphere is great and so is the wine! Highly recommend!

We were surprised walking on a Saturday evening and there were only 2 other patrons. That’s usually a sign to walk back out. We stayed, my wife had a Pear Martini and it was good. I tried ordering a couple of Reds and was told they were out so had to go to 3rd option. The other couple were told the same thing. If you have a menu and are a cocktail/wine bar, being out of several wines on your menu is not a good look.

I need to be honest. We walked in, looked at the food menu, noted the lack of depth in the wines, and opted out. We didn't stay to try anything. The menu had zero options for someone who is gluten free, dairy free. Perhaps this is a biased review. I recommend looking over the menu and seeing if it is worth your time or money to try mediocre wines, haphazard food choices.

Nice atmosphere and wonderful events. Great place to get together with friends. I have removed my first review of 2 stars. The owner immediately responded to my complaint and took immediate action to remedy the situation. I will not accept her generous offer to comp us a glass of wine. We did not receive a substandard pour, and so there is no need. I am completely satisfied.

Love, love, love this place. The wine selection is top notch. The martinis are great. The also sell soda and beer. The atmosphere is cozy, quiet, you can hear others speak to you! When there is a band playing, it is harder to hear, but we enjoy the groups they solicit to play.

My boyfriend and I went to Con Amici this weekend and the place was wonderful! We have just started our wine adventures and this place is a diamond in the ruff. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. The old furniture and layout is very nice, makes you feel relaxed. We loved the wine flight and the beer selection. Mark and Laura were very helpful and polite. Also, loved the business motive to go green!

This place has the best Riesling I have ever tasted! Karaoke nights are now going to be once a month. I've been to the last two and fully intend to continue! Great atmosphere! Nothing but good things to say. Can't wait until next month!

Passing through so popped in to check it out. The place is huge with plenty of seating and neat things to look at. They have a nice beer selection for sure. We shared pretzel and Cobb Salad which both were good. They didn't have any mustard and salad came w/o Avocado but all good. Look forward to next time🍻

Went for the pretzel and empanadas but they had neither one. Not sure why if it will be busy in town that they would not have planned ahead. I did try the walk away Sunday stout it had an great taste and a root beer after taste. The atmosphere was good pretty cool looking place! For as slow as the place was could of been faster service.

Good brewery with a nice selection of beer styles and great flavor to them all. Their Disco Lemonade is delicious. I love their empanadas, but this past time I went I had a plastic shard in my food. The server was nowhere to be found and we ended up finishing them, being careful with each bite. I showed him and he basically did nothing. When he brought the check he mentioned it was a shard from their meat prep container, but didn’t offer to replace or remove anything from the check. They had a hostess who did nothing since its seat yourself, would’ve been better to have had her run food or check on tables.

We stopped by to try some local beers. We had a flight and all were good. We tried a red beer, wheat, mango, a stout like beer. We also got a try of the jalapeno beer. The service was great and the pricing was reasonable. The history of the house is cool. We were not aware of it until we saw it on Google maps.

Was such a beautiful place. But the server that was handling us, she was snotty from the second we walked in. Got dirty looks, and when we sat and got asked about what we wanted for our drinks, she was acting rude and was upset that we didn’t know the drink menu. After we got our drinks settled she went behind the bar counter and started laughing about us with her friends. I really wish I got to try the food and enjoy the surroundings more but we didn’t want to stay. Reallllyyyy wish we were able to enjoy the place some more it was so pretty.

We stopped in on a Monday afternoon around 6pm not to busy the waiter greeted us and we found our seats. This place is also a museum for the Ringling brothers circus. The food was very good and the beer was tasty

This place is very cool! I highly recommend the tour of the mansion. The beer is very good. Limited food menu, but the cheese curds are superb.

My new go-to place when I am visiting family in Baraboo. The decor is a perfect blend of modern cocktail sheek ,calling al to just relax and enjoy one of their spectacular custom crafted libations. No food is served, but there are plenty of eateries with in walking distance.

Wonderful place to grab a drink. Lots of options and the bartenders will make you something to your preferred flavor if you can't decide!

We found our way here at the recommendation of a competitor. Gotta love WI! Anyway, we really liked the high-back booths for supporting quiet conversations. Our drinks were spot on and the pizza was better than many pizza places. Our server was friendly and efficient and the prices were reasonable. What more does one need? We look forward to returning.

Love it! Great cocktails that don’t have a small-town feel, but for small-town prices. Come dressed up, or in your shorts, t-shirt, and camping hair. The staff and fellow bar-goers are still friendly and welcoming. Would come back anytime.

This place is hands-down my favorite cocktail lounge. The drinks are creative and perfectly balanced, the food is just as impressive, and the atmosphere is the kind you never want to leave, warm, inviting, and elevated without being pretentious. Every visit feels like a treat. 5/5 all the way!

Jose's used to be great! The place to go to for decent Mexican food. The last couple times I was there, I didn't think they were great. Decided to give them one more try and it was horrible. We had our food in like 3 minutes which proves nothing was fresh. My chimichanga was soft and meat tasted funky. Lettuce tasted old. It was just yuck. So I will not be going again.

Service was GREAT! The best hometown Mexican food around. I wrote this review specifically for Victor and Miguel. They were awesome. They made the experience outstanding with their positive energy, and great customer service. Thank you Jose’s!

Found on Google. Good margaritas. Service was good. And food was great. Carne asada was very tender and flavorful. Glad we came here. Cute flair inside. Love all the artwork, especially on the chairs.

Was there on 9/12 food was good, but the waiter never came back after he dropped off the food. My dear wife had to go get our own doggy bags and finally after he watched her do that he came over and asked if we needed anything. We said well we sure would have liked to drink refill, but too late now just give us our bill. I think we had the worst waiter there.

Jose’s Authentic Mexican absolutely exceeded our expectations! On short notice, they were able to cater a delicious buffet of chicken and steak fajitas with all the fixings, from beans and rice to toppings and shells. The food was a total hit and incredibly delicious! We enjoyed leftovers for days and loved every bite. Working with Jose himself was such a treat. He was personable, accommodating, and genuinely wanted to make our day special, and he did just that. He and his team worked perfectly within our time frame and had everything set up and ready to go by the time we arrived at our reception. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a better meal!

Great food and absolutely fantastic service. We joined another hockey team for a joint team dinner and the staff provided the side room for us all to dine in. It was perfect. Our group was about 50, and the staff did a great job taking orders and getting food out quickly. It was an absolute joy and Jose should be proud of his great staff!

Been coming here every few years when I'm in the Dells area. Always glad that I come. I got the especial el vallarta fajitas. Such a big portion for 18.99 and I took a lot back with me even though I am a big eater. A lot of places cost more for a fraction of the portions. Best part of the meal was talking with the owner, Jose. Such a nice man and was eager to talk and joke with customers and tell me more about the history of his restaurant and how they prepare some of the dishes. Will be back for more that is a certainty!

I received a ticket and planned to plead no contest on the date listed to appear in court. I took time off work and drove two hours to attend, only to be told at the door by a staff member that court is not held on Mondays. Instead of being able to enter a plea in person, I was only given the option to fill out a form to submit a guilty or not guilty plea. I was informed that if I chose “not guilty,” I would be scheduled to meet with a pre-trial judge, so I went with that option. After waiting another 3–5 months, I took another day off work to attend this supposed pre-trial hearing—only to find out it was just a meeting with the state’s attorney, who clearly does not have the defendant’s best interests in mind. All that was offered to me was a $15 reduction, which felt like a waste of time. I was then told I’d have my actual court date within the next two weeks. That didn’t happen. Instead, I ended up waiting several more months and had to take additional time off just to appear again. The whole process has felt disorganized. It seems like even the staff aren’t always sure what’s going on. The only positive part of the experience was the professionalism and kindness of the officers at the front entrance. Overall, I’m very disappointed.

I received a speeding ticket that I promptly filed a not guilty plea. It took approximately a year from the date of my filing the ticket to receive my hearing date, which was a date I could not attend. Upon notifying the Court clerk, KRIS, of my unavailability, I requested a video/telephone conference with the county DA, and was rudely advised that that was not available. When I requested a reasonable accommodation as a post cancer survivor with ongoing health issues, again I received a curt and rude no. I also explained that transportation is an issue as I live in Onalaska,Wi to no avail. Correspondingly, I received my return date for July 31, 2025. I contacted Kris a day before the hearing and reported again that due to health issues I was unable to attend and again received a very curt and rude no to my request for another date or to speak directly to the DA, Michael Albrecht, for an accommodation. She added that my failure to appear will result in a guilty conviction. I am a 72 year old man and licensed attorney in the state of Wisconsin. In my 47 years of practice, I have never encountered such a rude and belligerent Court clerk as this individual. Moreover, I don’t understand why my hearing can’t be accommodated via conf video or call as is common practice in other courts. Reading other reviews about this Traffic Court, I find this to be a fairly consistent culture all the way thru this small town court, including the maintenance man as one has reported. I know first hand what cancer is and this is certainly a cancer culture and far from the judicial system that I have practiced in as a lawyer and am duty bound to support. My objective of this negative review is to publicly share my experience and elicit a response from anyone but Kris at this Sauk County Traffic Court on this awful culture and inflexibility in honoring my very reasonable accommodation. First off, what’s with the vending machine reviews ?!?!? Showed up for court today and a very rude lady claimed the judge isn’t able to see anyone today ; and made 10-15 people who showed up and 8am fill out piece of paper claiming “not guilty” No contest wasn’t even an option. What could have been a simple discussion is now another court date and me missing another day of work; aswell the several to 50 other people that had hopes of seeing a judge today are now rescheduled. They could have notified us that the judge was not able to hear people today. She claims I should have called ? Avoid this county with your entire life UPDATE: lady who awnsers the DA attorney office will not give you her name and talk over you. Providing my case number I started with 3 letters at a time 202 and she cut me off with a very rude tone “ yeah they usually start with 2024” I told her it was the next number if she had any patience. Continued to talk over me every chance I got. Don’t bother trying to plead no contest apparently they don’t do this here?!?!?!? Investigate these corrupt small towns with useless people with power.

Lady who awnsers the DA phone needs to be fired. She talks over people and has the worst attitude for no reason. If you don’t like your job leave lady.

Completely worthless! They let criminals go scott free for assault. Sauk County has many issues.
