Really nice. The private collection is quite extensive, with a big range of art pieces (no pictures can be taken in that room tho). Otherwise, the other section was quite informative with a lot of history and art as well. Note: the second floor was closed due to a new exhibit in the works. Highly recommend a few hours to stop by and see amazing local art, alongside learning about local history and culture.
This is one of the best art center and museum in the Dominican Republic. Founded by one of the richest family, which make their extraordinary incomes with production and selling of world famous Dominican cigars. But each Dollars they win with your smoking pleasure it's worth to see in this nice place. The architecture is a little bit modern from the last century and from outside it's look like a supermarket ... but inside they have 2 levels of exhibition. The ground floor has a very nice permanent exhibition about the island Hispaniola and the DR too. Also there is one room for the collection of Centro Leon. At the second level they have monthly changing special exhibitions of several artists. Sometimes they make a large one about all the actual art in DR. The Centro Leon has also a nice museum shop and a good restaurant too. Due the month there are several evening events for the local in-crowds and pseudo-bohemians. But you as an worldtraveller will enjoy the fine and quiet place!
It was nice and quiet. The gift shop is a expensive. I would avoid it. It's small. Only a couple of exhibits.
A truly amazing art gallery and place to spend the day with the family. They have five or six galleries as well as a bird sanctuary, water fountain, cafe and places where you can picnic or take photos.
The is a great place to visit 😊 there is art and history 😀 and they have a restaurant and outdoor seating with lots of shade
This review is regarding the food in the cafeteria. Delicious. We had the pasta and a wrap and it was on point! So even if u don’t visit the museum you can always stop by and hve lunch, dinner or a drink.

Night club
Level Club in Santiago de los Caballeros is a popular spot for nightlife, particularly on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Lovera Bar is well-loved by locals and opens every day from 9 pm to 4 am. While the sound system may need improvement, the club offers a great ambiance with friendly staff, good drinks, and music. Upon arrival we were received with a warm welcome. Staff was kind. But unfortunately the visit was cut short. I did not have too much information regarding the place since i was only on a 3 days trip to Santiago. I had to leave the club due to some circumstances. But I regretted it. I feel like the vibe in there is top tier. I will definitely go back.

The BLINDING LIGHTS are something so exaggerated I don’t know why there aren’t warning signs. NO ROOM AT ALL….
There was NO GETTING TO THE BAR. This place is packed so over capacity that you literally cannot even turn around.
So desperate for money that they are putting people’s lives at risk .Apparently bars are supposed to close at four, but this place stays open till at least 6 AM and so everyone and anyone pops in there. I encountered one server(?) that yelled at me various times for “being in his way” why would this place let so many people in!?! That specific server spoke to me so disgusting that I just said let’s get out of here because how is any of what’s going on MY FAULT??? Extremely dangerous to be packed in this manner. This just looks like a tragedy waiting to happen I will NEVER visit this club again.

Great place good service. Just needs some work on their sound system. At times you feel like your head is going to explode and your ears are going to bleed lol. But it's all good. I have gone a few times and the ambiance never fails.

I am very disappointed. I and my friend have been there yesterday. We want to drink a beer, but the barkeeper at the top stage has no eyes for us to order. Also i am asking for a pricelist for drinks...No answer..so you donot know what for a price have the Drinks...i have been in a lot of international top Clubs in the world. This service is very bad.

This restaurant is reputed to be one of the best in town, and it certainly lived up to the hype. The food was excellent, and I had the pleasure of trying my first traditional Dominican dish, "Sancocho," which was absolutely delicious. We ended the evening with some "Saga" cigars to round off the experience.
However, I must note that the service was somewhat slow and inattentive, which was unexpected for a restaurant of this caliber. While the house cigars were good, they didn’t quite stand out enough for me to consider purchasing them again.
Overall, a great dining experience with some room for improvement in service quality.

100% recommend you go here! One of the best restaurants we have gone to during our trip. The place is gorgeous and has a nice little vibe to it. Esteban was our waiter and he was the best! He gave us the most amazing recommendations from our drinks all the way to order a dessert for us that was AMAZING! He truly got to know our taste and likes and it was a great service! Everything was top tier and tasted beyond amazing!

Good food, overall service is a 4.5/5, waiters should know more the names of the products they offer. Seating is not ideal, we reserved a table for 7 and they gave us a table for 6 and squeezed in a chair, not the comfiest option.
Heard a lot of hype about this place and honestly don’t know at all what’s the big deal that others see! Made reservations for a party of 4 and get there to be seated in their smallest table possible. If we were only having coffee I would have understood but seriously what’s the point of making a reservation. The service was beyond horrendous. Or maybe we were just unlucky with the waiter. The food was ooookkk, nothing at all memorable. The alcohol drinks tasted like juice and honestly I should have just ordered another appetizer instead of a cocktail.
We did takeout and were impressed!! The food was 10/10 I cannot wait to come and experience it in person!

On a Friday night.... I was hoping for a great ambience and entertainment..... But there was less than 10 people around 9pm.
The music was way way too loud for a small crowd.

I have been to this bar like three times it's become a tradition for me to visit this bar. It's just like a chill spot it isn't too fancy nor is it too hood. It's the perfect casual spot. Drinks are reasonably priced and tables and chairs are set up well. They usually have a band of some type playing live music. The bathrooms are clean but very small. Sometimes the music is a little too loud that is my reason for 4 stars.

The moment you enter this place, you become history. Placed in Historical city of Santiago, spaniard arquitecture, great breeze, feels like a piece of art on its own. Great food, great music, ask for local beers. Wherever you look, theres art. Come in the afternoon for the patio area, amazing view from the garden of the newly operating Santiago Cable Car, first mass transportation in the city. If you wanna have great local food, drinks in artsy environment, come you wont regret it!

Probably the biggest selection of beer in the city. The quipes are what they are famous for, but I was too drunk to remember the flavor. So... 4 stars until I go back sober enough to rate the food.

Barajando Bar, located in Santiago, Dominican Republic, is a historic establishment founded in 1939. If you want to enjoy Merengue Tipico, this is your place to go to. While the location could be a bit bigger, the quality of the artists that get to play make up for the lack of space. It's open Tues-Sun. Bands usually start playing around 10p since they close at 2a usually Friday nights they have a band that covers old school Merengue. I know they serve food but I've never ordered from there so I can't tell you how good it is.

Once upon a time the wifi password was "Best Mojitos in town". Those where the days where not everyone had a data plan. To this day tho those words are still true! Check their menu and they will have some great drinks if you're not into Mojitos.

It was very chill and playful place to be after a busy day. The hookah was smooth, lasted for my group for a while: we spent about $15,000 Dominican pesos. There’s no food in this space. Just drinks and good vibes. This place is where majority of famous Dominican native singers come through and perform. Highly recommend it for the experience

A fun experience however I only went to the terrace area. The main club wanted a 1500 peso entry fee and I refused to pay that. At the terrace side if was fun and affordable. For example a presidente beer was only 150 pesos.
The biggest and the most amount of lights and sound that I have seen in a night club in a long time. The atmosphere was chill and the group playing was amazing.
This place is more than awesome, the vibe and the service impecable. If you want some food you have to go outside in the same same. I didn't try it but for the club is woww. That's why next stop, I will bring all my best friends there.
I used to love this place. It used to be my favorite location, but the atmosphere has been different, people go in with all type of cloths that is just not appropriate. Service is great, only if there could be a dress code it will help with the atmosphere.
I have been at Lovera at least ten times, let me just say I can’t complain not one bit about this place! Some things can be better but overall it’s a great place.
I am currently writing this review on a slow Monday night. Let’s just say everyone, and I mean every single person is having fun with the live band (see pic).
Things to do better
1. Comfortable chair and/or stools - my butt hurt after sitting half hour. They need something with better cushion; but that’s just every club and/or bar in DR.
2. Security should be tighter in the front door. Inside, the securities are visible and always around. But I personally think they do a poor job at padding down people. If you don’t believe me, try going in with a knife or your hip. Again, that’s almost every club in DR.

I have been here 3-4 times now every time I visit Santiago with my boyfriend. We always enjoy the drinks and ambience here. Music is on point. I always get the gummy bear drink (SO yummy). But haven't had a bad drink here with any options (I always try my boyfriends drinks lol). Highly recommend!

This place amazes me every time. I love the vibe. They have chairs for people to see the dancers which is really nice. I wish I could dance like they do for long periods of time with no issues or knee bother even with their age. They amaze me. Totally recommend visiting this place.

El Son de Keka is fire . It’s this street of the old party in Santiago every Sunday where people dance to old-school music, and the vibes are crazy good. Everyone’s chill, the music hits hard, and it feels super real not like some tourist thing. If you’re in Santiago, you have to pull up at least once.

If you are into Cuban and Dominican Son, if you appreciate Dominican and Latin culture, if you are into Latin social dance, then THIS is the place to be ! I’ve been here 2 times already, the people are very welcoming and happy to receive new people especially coming from different cultures! Leonardo, the son of Antonio (the founder of this social dance activity ) does an amazing job together with his community by maintaining this cultural activity. Happening every Sunday from 3Pm till 9PM outside, unless it’s raining.
