We were lucky to get a table. Everything was great. For us, a perfect light lunch.

Went here with my friends to celebrate us passing Spanish B2 level exam😆 and glad we chose this place. Everything we ordered was delicious, even the desserts. The food came rather fast, although the person attending us wasn’t the friendliest, but it didn’t ruin our time. Overall a good place to enjoy dinner.

The best meal we’ve had in Vigo, Galicia, and top 5 in Spain! What a wonderful experience and a pleasant surprise. Everything from the excellent service and the lovely atmosphere, to the amazingly delicious food was perfect. And the portions are very generous. The bread course comes with truffle butter that is amazing. The foie gras was great. The tempura shrimp appetizer was perfect, good crunch, and great sauces too. The lamb was sooooo delicious, perfectly cooked, wonderful sauce, and cheesy whipped potatoes. The large scallop was very good. Oh, and the rice pudding with cinnamon ice cream was to die for, seriously drool-worthy. We plan to go again!

Casual yet upscale restaurant with very good food. The dining room is modern and tastefully decorated. The aged beef carpaccio was the best I've had. My main meal of Octopus was excellent.

We had a delicious lunch in this restaurant. A friendly greeting followed by great food and wine. We choose to start the Galician beef tartar to share, followed by a whole roast turbot served with a fresh mixed salad and small roasted potatoes. *Do note that previous reviews mention a menu del dia (which is usually cheaper than the a la carte). This however seems to have been discontinued or at least it wasn’t offered today.

It is a great restaurant! The service is extremely good! No double the beef and goose liver are marvelous! So lucky to have such delicious food! (It was fully reserved at 1pm. If you are solo travelled, check the bar for a seat. If you go with friend, pls reserve first.)

We made a booking one day before the date of visiting on our anniversary. Came here from Porto. 30 min before they cancelled booking. We came to restaurant to listen their solution, but they reject to explain anything saying that they have no place! Disgrace!

Extremely friendly staff, great atmosphere, really good food! We ordered rice of the day (monkfish) and slow cooked lamb shoulder plus patties of the day(lamb and mushroom). We also tried white wine eido da fonte.

The food was fantastic and the staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. The cod, scallop, crepe with meat with cream sauce, tuna, Greek yogurt ice cream, mojito ice cream, and wine were all delicious. The ambience was nothing to rave about but it was quiet and pleasant. €45 pp including food and drinks.

The scallops were delicious. I was also very pleasantly surprised by the cod since I am not a huge fan. Every dish we ordered (including the tuna, the saquitos rellenos, lemon mojito sorbet and greek yogurt dessert) tasted great. We ordered their featured wine and it complemented our meal perfectly. Our server provided attentive, knowledgeable service throughout the evening. It was an excellent value.

A delightful, friendly restaurant with excellent dishes at a good price. We started with the house appetizer of Russian salad followed by spinach croquets in a basket of thin, crisp pastry. Our main course was prawns in black rice with cuttlefish. We did not leave hungry. With a bottle of sparkling albarino, bread, and water, the check came to 89.50 €. A delicious lunch at a very reasonable cost for the high quality of the meal.

Atmosphere and service is a 10/10 no doubt. The only reason I give a 4* is because it used to have better quality food and prices were cheaper too. I understand the inflation and all that but at least I would expect the same quality. Fish was brilliantly prepared but the starters and dessert dropped in quality. It used to be my go to when I’m in town but I’ll be tempted to try and go somewhere else next time. Possibly Follas Novas.

The food is full of flavour, so happy and satisfied with reasonable price €25 each person. Definitely will come back and recommend 👍

What a terrific find in Vigo! This is truly fine and elegant dining but at a very reasonable price. Service and atmosphere was relaxed, which I always appreciate.

Wow, what a treat! The service was phenomenal; our waitress was so patient and friendly as we tried to speak in our broken Spanish (luckily she knew enough English to help us along). The Rice with Monkfish and Scallops (Arroz con Rape y Vieiras) off the specials menu was truly unforgettable. Food portions were more than generous, and the prices so fair. Overall, it was a superb dining experience without any hint of snootiness. We cannot wait to go back!

We are on the Camino Portuguese Way and stopped at Vigo. We are so happy to have had dinner here. The service was more than excellent and we felt so happy because everyone was so kind (we did not speak Spanish and could only speak English). The food was excellent and generous. We had the steak, lamb chops and the little dumplings. Definitely a must visit.

Well it's in LP and therefore it must be good. Well me and my husband didn't agree, I found it otherly boring, he found it as described. We got a okay albarinho, a bit overpriced. Then scallops, made with neutral oil, and lime. Have gotten them better many places. Then sardines that was grilled in neutral oil And then squid boiled and driessel in neutral oil and paprika. No salt, pepper or anything. To me, yes very...natural.. but utterly boring. Don't wait I line for this one. All the others will serve the same or better.

Lovely local place for lunch, tucked away down a small street (aren't they all) in the old town. Really tasty scallops and fried Gambas in a sizzling garlic oil, the bread is necessary, for once, to mop up chilli/garlic infused oil. Great service. It is busy and being in the old town in August will mean a constant stream of people walking past your outside table, so what. The bill was €43.00 for 2, including a tomato salad a bottle of mineral water a coke and coffee. We didn't book, but we did sit down before 1pm. I would go back, always the benchmark I think. 10% base(tip) is added in my bill when I paid, I didn’t notice it’s a requirement, which is rare for Spanish restaurants. Besides, they sent wrong dish until I informed them then they know. Seafood is fresh as expected.

I don’t even want to share photos. I am travelling in the north of Spain around one month and it is the most not worthy to stop for dinner. It is a pity for the reputation all this area has for good food that this place does not respect it. The only dish that was tasty was the padron’s peppers. All else (sardines, pulpo, anchovies in vinegar were bad.) The staff is friendly, the place is nice. But just do not bother to stop for dinner. Very disappointing.

My first review in a long time. Here we go. To sum things up: just don't go there. Single word Galician item names on the menu might work if the waiter spoke passable English. Google translate largely failing, plus a waiter with minimal English, and quite possibly on something, made for an interesting experience. Food was brought out in a haphazard order and over a very long time, more than an hour. Probably due to the kitchen being a tiny thing in the back corner. The pulpo was not cleaned. The veal entrecote arrived rather raw looking, and had to be sent back, to come back cooked, but now dry. The veal Milanese was made of veal, true, but mediocre at best. To be fair, the accompanying fries tasted better than they looked. The floor was slick. Do not let the other innocents in there deceive you. Just. do. not. go. there. Final thought: the final total was cheap. Would've settled for a dinner.

Def a must visit eatery in Vigo! Do come early before they open at 8 or make reservation to avoid long wait time! I went there as a single traveler and had to go back twice so I can try more food. Jordan, the male staff speaks good English and was really friendly. The scallop, the octopus, and fried Sardine were amazing! The scallop, in particular was so fresh and flavour was on point! They charged for bread (EUR1.7) so opt out and let them know if you don’t need one so you can have more space for food. The only item I found slightly off was Padron pepper which is too bitter vs. what i have elsewhere throughout the trip.

The food was incredible, we ordered the pulpo and pimientos de padrón. We had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a seat so I recommend a reservation. In summer it’s pretty hot so be prepared for that.

Food was great (it took it‘s time, but was fresh made). I‘ve ordered a Paella for 1Person. It was a very big portion, but it seems it was no Problem to take the Rest with me. The order were attentive and friendly, although the Restaurant was quite full so it was a Little Bit busy there. I think, it‘s nearly the only Restaurant where you can order a Paella just for one Person, thank you for that! Parkspaces around the city.

Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t that great. The pulpo with vinaigrette was overcooked and chewy, while the pimientos were the highlight of the evening – really tasty. We also had the entrecôte with fries, which was served far too rare despite being ordered medium. The fries themselves were way too greasy. The sole was okay, nothing special. Overall, the service was fine, but the food didn’t live up to expectations and on top of that it was pricy – for us, not more than 3 stars.

We had 9 people and they were able to accommodate all of us with ease. We ended up ordering the four-person fish platter and the three-person paella with scallops — both were incredible, but the paella was to die for. Highly recommend this place.

The food here was amazing and the staff were so lovely!!! Great spot for lunch, the menu of the day is a great deal. We are biking the camino and this was one of my favorite stops - and they had a really cool sello! My boyfriend is Peruvian so I've eaten a lot of ceviches and this one was fantastic. :)

The food here is very good as well as authentic. The prices are also reasonable especially if you have the lunchtime menu. The restaurant itself is well decorated and the staff are welcoming. I will definitely go back. However, I was really disappointed when I went back this week (11th Jan 2024). It was one of the coldest days in a very long time and the restaurant was extremely cold. So much so, that we had dinner with our coats on which wasn’t very pleasant. Even the waiter had his coat on which says a lot. Some system of heating would really help because it does get very damp and cold in a stone-walled premises.

The food is good, taste like traditional Peruvian. Only thing I didn’t like it’s very small portions and I felt the waiter was trying to be a sales man and I didn’t like that.

Amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious and generously served. One of the highlights was being able to cook our own steak right at the table—they brought a personal grill, which made the experience even more fun and interactive. And the torta de queijo? AC wasn’t working for some time, so it was very hot, otherwise atmosphere was okay a bit loud. Service was great, but we had a bit of disagreement. We celebrated a birthday and when we booked the place we asked if we could bring a cake, they said yes, but on the day of the event, they rejected us and didn’t let us enter with the cake, because they only allow what you get from their selection, which wasn’t communicated to us, so the cake was getting soft because we were walking with it to the restaurant and in the end we had to walk with it home to put it in a fridge….I am a bit disappointed.

Really nice experience here tonight. We had the ume menu. The Japanese beef is on another level and very worth trying. The sauces are nice but I barely used them because the meat itself was so tasty. I also found the other dishes to be really nice. The duck udon soup was great, so were the mushrooms. The banchan was super especially the pickled daikon and kimchi. Everything is made in house. We also enjoyed a refreshing sake from Iwate. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They pay attention to details and use pretty dishes and plates. We didn’t feel rushed. The place itself is intimate and informal. The bathroom is clean and comfortable. I think it’s an amazing experience and something we’re really lucky to have in Galicia. My only criticism is the music which was very loud and stressful. Otherwise we had a great time. Thank you!

Yesterday’s Japanese BBQ instantly made me feel like I was back in Japan 🇯🇵. The interior design is thoughtful and welcoming, making it comfortable and convenient for both guests and staff. The Wagyu beef quality was outstanding 🥩✨ — truly some of the best I’ve had outside Japan. And I was so happy to finally enjoy a bowl of rice with half-cooked egg 🍚🥚, something I haven’t had in Portugal for a long time. The owner, a very friendly and talkative Japanese lady, made the experience even more special. Honestly, the only downside was that we didn’t get to chat enough! 😅 I’ll definitely be back next time — highly recommended! 🌟

We visited Rokuseki 4 or 5 times, and every time I left the restaurant, I could not believe they don’t have one or more Michelin stars. The food is outstanding. The service is perfect, and the restaurant is cozy, and you feel transported to any street in Asia. The taste of the meat, the sauces, complements (best kimchi ever), and deserts is a phenomenal flavor trip. Arigato gozaimasu!

Minimal and intimate setting. Friendly and attentive service. Opted for the Take menu which was excellent and more than enough food for two. Meat cuts were delicious and the experience of grilling ones own food is special. Particularly enjoyed the different flavours pickles, absolutely loved the kamo udon and the miso &sake mushrooms for their delicate but impactful flavours, and both desserts; cheesecake and yuzo were delicious. I can't fault anything really. Keen to return to try some other dishes off the menu, particularly the desserts.

A very cool place to have dinner or lunch in the city centre of Vigo. Feels and looks like an exclusive restaurant in Tokyo. I highly recommend it if you're planning an event or bringing family or friends.

Very good value for money, the portion sizes are always massive, one starter and main between two people is easily enough. It's in a cozy little tavern-like building with stone walls, which gives it a real rural feel to the place. Service is always good and you never have to wait long. Although the variety could be considered a bit limited, everything on the menu is delicious.

I came for the croquetas de jamón ibérico. Top 5 in Vigo. But I saw the Atún Picante con papas fritas y huevos. Delicious combination that reminded of my mother’s cooking. And the owner offered me. Half portion of croquetas just so I wouldn’t leave without a taste of it. Thank you!

Cozy place for having just a glass/bottle of good wine with good cheese or for having a full lunch/dinner. Their staff is super kind and will accompany all along the service. The food was very tasty, special mention to Tataki de Solomillo (with strawberry), knuckle "Codillo" and Dulce de leche with banana's foam as a desert Definitely, it's worthy to go.

A small cosy "Tapas" bar/restaurant. When I say Tapas you get healthy portions and two of us ate well with three plates and a pudding. The Croquetas were absolutely delightful and the other dishes we had were fantastic too. It isn't the cheapest of places but you do have to pay for quality and you will certainly get that here

I visited back in April and just found the receipt with Tavi’s name on in my wallet! This was genuinely an amazing experience from start to finish. Tavi’s service was phenomenal, the food (zorza and french toast dessert) was incredible and the wine a delight. If I find myself in Vigo again, I will certainly return!!

The prices were too high and the food was not good. We had dinner and the food was not fresh. The paella was very salty, the saltiest of the four restaurants we ate at. The cake had been in the fridge for too long and had delaminated. I have never had such a bad cake. It was not fit to eat, only good for drinking and chatting.

Just had a great experience at Gamboa Vinte. We stopped in for some tapas after our visit to Las Islas Cies. We sat outside since the restaurant is perfectly located on a cobblestone street with no access to cars. The berberechos were the best I've had in Galicia yet! We also ordered the chipirones a la plancha, they were cooked to perfection. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the croquetas, they would not share! 😄 The staff was so friendly. Food so good we went back! We came across this place somewhat randomly after the queue to our hotel recommended venue was too long. The food was amazing, especially the Pulpo. The best any of us had ever had. So much so, we went back two nights later. It was fully booked, and we were about to be turned away when our waitress from the previous night noticed us and convinced the manager to make a plan. Again we feasted. The Iberian pork cheeks are top notch as well. The staff are delightful, and very tolerant of our progressively more broken Spanish as the evening progressed. Amazing! We came for lunch- fab service, great atmosphere, fab wine ( red from a huge 6L bottle decanted) and great fresh food - full of locals and history. Buzzing at lunchtime. We had scallops, prawns, tempura sardines, gorgeous. We asked about an interesting portrait on the stone walls, it was Domingo Villar, an author who came in regularly and wrote crime fiction. Currently reading his book Death on a Galician Shore starring an inspector who comes into Taberna Eligio regularly and seems to like it as much as we did! Highly recommended. Great Taberna, great book as well.

Literally the best pulpo a la gallega (Galician octopus) I've had in my life. It was so tender with these just absolutely delectable fatty bits, I was in heaven. The tortilla was also one of the best I've had in Spain; it is runnier that most, and although that made me nervous when first seeing it, it too was perfect and delicious. We also tried the squid ink croquetas - also very good - but the standouts were, without a doubt, the pulpo and tortilla.
